« Good hotel with some bad aspects! »

I've been there for my business trip. First thing is the location of this hotel is very good, building is also good. However, the room i got had a stench that was unavoidable! After spraying air freshener for a couple of times the stench were there! It made me very sad! Also, their service is a bit slow. But room space is good, cleanliness is good. But with the price point no one at least don't expect to have bad smell in a hotel room!

    « Close to everything »

This place is closed to everything you need in the capital of philippines there are also lots of malls and restaurant around the place, it was also easy acces to any travelling vehicles like taxis, that can easily access for you to the international airport

« You have been warned »

Booked this online through - my credit card was charged without permission so we were forced to stay here. This is an awful hotel, with awful facilities in an awful location. Just could not wait to leave

    « What to expect »

Average hotel, in a handy location. Don't expect too much and you'll be fine. The rooms were old looking and need renovation. I felt the breakfast was good, and overall the stay was ok. The hotel bar was empty, no doubt due to the pricing. Time to wake up Mr Manager.

    « Bang Bang »

It was a one day stay just to have the pulse of the Makati and had it. I cant add values for a longer stay. My opinion, it is good for Solo travelers and definitely NOT for the families from my country at least. Beware with valuables at the restaurant outside the Hotel especially when you are in group.

« Good hotel for price but in red light district area »

Hotel is fine. It's on the red light district street, so keep that in mind if having those type of people outside your hotel bothers you. I used points for a suite and it met expectations. Great bed, decent sized bathroom/shower, and large room. I would go back.

    « Good location »

I visited Manila for a short business trip during that time I stayed in this hotel. Hotel is located in the heart of Metro Manila but it is also right into the red light street. Manila city has terrible traffic. So if you have work in metro manila, this hotel is good place to stay. Rooms are spacious. Hotel offers complimentary WiFi in the room. Hotel has gym and restaurant.

    « Old and mildewed »

First let me say please stay away from this hotel. We was taken to 5 rooms but all smelled of mod and mildew, we ask for something for them smell, they said could spay the room and ten minutes later smell was back, the carpets was stained and wrinkled, look like from the 80s. Every time my wife went down with me she was ask or stop if she staying here or room number. If you went out side the door you are pounce on by street sellers, with little blue pills and E D meds, and the door men would take money from them if they made sell, and from the lady boys would stand by the doors and ask men if they needed a date. There were more men's renting rooms by the hour than people staying there as guest. They would only give us two towels for the two days, we ask for clean towels the next day but they wanted 400 peso, about 10 dollars extra. Never cleaned the room after first night, we ask about leaving but would not refund our money, the staff was worried more about there sell phones then customers or work, door men and porters, only looking after the street sellers, lady boys and the girls they would match up with the men there for escorts. Please stay away if your with family or wife, not for business or peaceful place.

    « Bad hotel - Stay away »

Smelly rooms, was advised on check in that breakfast was included then told in the morning its additional, all the staff didn't know how to lock the safe code so we couldn't lock our valuables and overall poor service... stay away from this hotel.

    « Very nice hotel »

I visit this hotel first time in Manila but all time I visit his branch in Cebu and also in saudi the quality is the same around all and the same service and this is give me the idea to never change this hotel around all the place and check if there branch of best west hotel is international hotel and the staff so nice

    « Old and worn. »

Having stayed at the Best Western in Puerto Princesa and in Cebu and having been met by clean and modern rooms we didn't do as much research as we should face. When entering the room we were immediately met by the smell of cleaning chemicals - the smell is so strong it's almost a little nauseating. There were hairs on the bed and a couple of small droplets of what looks like blood on one of the pillows. Otherwise the hotel itself is just old and showing good signs of wear and tear. Staff are attentive and welcoming and this place actually has a decent internet line. So it's not all bad.

« Clean spacious the heart of the red light district »

This hotel is good value for money - clean, spacious rooms, and staff are very friendly and helpful. They even brought up a baby crib for our year-old son at no extra charge. However, we were concerned about him crawling around the floor as the carpets are old and need to be replaced or a good shampoo. Or perhaps they just look like they're dirty because they're so old. Regardless, housekeeping didn't vacuum the floors the next day when we returned after a day outing. Still bits of popcorn on the floor so had to call them to come up to vacuum, which they did. We had problems with hot water here - there was none. On the first night maintenance came by twice to deal with it. Managed to get the hot water heater to work but told me that we had to run the water slowly as it heats as it moves through the pipes. This was for our son to take a bath. Despite the hassle, it was nice to have a full size tub. Other than that, the hotel is located in the heart of Makati's red light district, surrounded by night clubs, girlie bars, and a "tequileria" directly across the street. Prior to coning here, I didn't even know Makati had a red light district. You'll hear music emanating from the street below at night, but it didn't keep us up. They have good black-out curtains in the room. The only annoying thing regarding noise was the damned clock radio alarm that went off at midnight despite the button being switched to "off". Alarmed again a few minutes later so just unplugged it. Restaurant is average. Don't think it's worth paying the additional amount for "breakfast included". For dinner, the grilled tuna, both types of pancit, and mashed potatoes were way too salty. Ripe mango shake was very good, albeit overpriced. Still, I'd recommend this place, unless you have young kids with you. Not the best place for them to see the seedy side of Manila.

    « Average »

In comparison to other hotels in makati this is by far the furthest away from greenbelt that I have stayed at. This area of makati is well known for the dirty side of makati. The rooms are decent size and the amenities are ok, it could do with some renovation. I did find the walls completely paper thin, often times I could hear people walk the hallways and conversations from the room next door is often heard. Breakfast is pretty ordinary. It is not a luxury hotel, however, if you wants just a place to stay without the bright lights of SM makati and greenbelt, then this will do. It took a good 30 mins to walk to greenbelt from Oxford suites and good luck if you want to catch a taxi without getting ripped off.

    « Location is Perfect »

This is the first time I have stayed here and I must admit I wasn't sure what I was going to get. The location is in the heart of the Entertainment District and is also very close to shopping centres. There are a lot of restaurants in the area and places to relax and have a drink. The Staff were very helpful and friendly on check-in which is always a good sign. The size of the room is quite big with a good sized bed, TV, Executive Desk & Chair and Lounge Chair. The Bathroom was well set out and the shower was quite large. The room had everything you need except snacks which you look forward to every now and then. There was beer and soft drink in the Ref however that was all. Overall I enjoyed my stay there and would recommend this Hotel to anybody who is looking for Location, Location, Location and good value for your money.

« Great location and large rooms »

Located in the heart of Makati, the hotel is close to shopping centres, business district and entertainment venues. I was impressed with the size of the room. There is a large desk and an executive chair, which makes working in the room quite enjoyable. Not much for view of the city. However, if you are a smoker you can either smoke in the balcony or leave the door open. Breakfast is ok and mostly Filipino food. Overall I am quite happy with the hotel at this price level.

« Poise under fire / I was very happy »

This is the 4th time I have stayed at Best Western Oxford Suites Makati, and again, they didn't disappoint. No one at Oxford Suites will tell you that their hotel is a 5 star experience, but for their 3+-4 star classification we surely do get value for the money; as all I really need is a clean room and excellent service and they continue to deliver that beyond any reasonable expectations. This time out, a calamity struck in respect to their cable provider crashed and all their subscribers (Oxford Suites included) had no cable for a few days. Certainly, this was completely outside Oxford's control, but how they reacted to it absolutely was inside their control. I was a regular guest (not in their best/most expensive room) and almost immediately someone came to my room, not only with a DVD player but also with a selection of complimentary movies for me to choose from. It really didn't matter to me that I had already seen the movies they had to offer me - what really mattered to me was that they did everything in their collective power to insure I had the best stay possible (regardless if the cable was down). They made sure I had a clean room, decent breakfast, the best service that was inside their power, (and most importantly) a smile from every direction. For me, great service and smiling faces are everything, so for my next trip to Makati I will only choose Best Western Oxford Suites. If you're on a budget and you make that same choice - you'll be glad you did. Matt Los Angeles, Ca. USA

    « Declining Accommodation Standard »

My 4th stay in 12 months. Room facilities standards have dropped significantly in last 6 months. No control over Air Con operation (only on or off). Room damp odour from Air Con leaking onto carpets. In-room safe not working. Staff busy with reception counter administration duties in priority to customer. Will stay elsewhere in future.

    « Very good hotel »

I was there on holidays since August the 5th to 20th 2016. Rooms are good and clean. Receptionists are pretty and kind and efficient. Also the guys at the doors are friendly and efficient. Price is good considering quality. The area is fantastic: Burgos corner Durban street, 30m far from Makati Avenue. You can find everything you need: bars restaurants pubs nightclubs 7eleven taxi, even police station. You are just 15 minutes far from Greenbelt even with heavy traffic. No noise in rooms from outside. Good air conditioning. Mini bar and chassfort in rooms. I am totally satisfied. Maybe just elevators could be improved: if you live on higher stories, it takes long time to go up and/or down.

« Nice and clean hotel »

Room is clean and spacious. But the Carpet on room and hallway is kinda old and smelly (need to replace or maybe carpet shampoo) Our bathroom curtain was dirty. Front office associate was not accommodating during our check-in and even not smiling... Wifi connection thumbs up! Room rate just enough. Thanks!

    « Very friendly staffs!! »

stayed here for overnight with my sister before going home to Tacloban from the USA the room was clean, good value for money, good food was served , staffs were very friendly, had a good spa and full body massage room service at a very affordable price.

    « 2x here »

stayed at the palace right across the street. moved in 2 days the oxford hands down far better service , internet, tv, food. be carefull getting room facing borgiuos st . noisy at night all night. lucky i sleep with tv on

« Unauthorised Charge on my girl friends credit card »

My girlfriend made a reservation with her credit card - and this hotel took an advance payment and refused to refund it. When we tried to cancel the stay - she was then charged a no show fee. Our credit card company is now dealing with this - and I hope and expect the credit card company to come down very hard on these crooks

« I keep coming back again and again... »

My fav hotel on Burgos street. It's in the middle of all the action (nightlife and bars), spacious rooms, very efficient housekeeping and front office and the rates are decent too. What makes this hotel special for me compared to all the rest on P.Burgos are the staff. Since they became Best Western as opposed to just Oxford Suites, the level of service is very noticeable and I commend the new management on this. Very professional service and courteous at all times. Security is strict at the entrance which is for our own safety. Lots of restaurants and bars within a 1km radius around the property. Thoroughly recommended. See you in September guys :)

    « Short staycation »

We need yo stay for 1 night at makati area because we have something to attend the morning and we decided to stat at oxford suites makati. Due to high occupancy they decide to upgrade our room to executive room with out any charges. (Yehey) The room is too big for the two of us. My husband enjoy the lounge of the hotel with live band during dinner. Me i enjoy the bath tub who makes me completely recharge after a toxic week at work. Their buffet breakfast is good. Over all we enjoy the stay one thing is not good is their wifi which is not working until we check out.

« good, clean, OK location (not for family) and value for money »

everything was OK for the price I paid and also better that I got an upgrade to a suite. Rooms were clean , sunny and well ventilated. I wouldn't recommend this location for family as there are many bars and 'other business' activity.

« Good value for money »

I was a bit concerned after reading the reviews. But once checked in and seeing the room (Deluxe), my fears abated. Room was clean which is the most important thing for me. Bed wasn't the best but was more than acceptable. My only issue was the aircon which directs air straight over the bed. Checking was quick, room cleaning efficient and laundry was returned on schedule every day for 6 days which is more than I can say for a lot of other hotels. Certainly isn't 5 star, but neither is the price. Will stay there again.

    « Good and clean »

Best Western Oxford suites not to be confused with best Western antell which is close by. The Oxford suites accomodation is much better than the antell annexes. The one downside or positive dependind on your point of view is that the hotel is in the heart of the red light district which is very obvious at night time. Friendly and polite staff and good value for money.

« Needs new management. Slow housekeeping service, No available rooms even after 2pm. »

I also work at a hotel back home at Australia, stayed here for 5 nights. I observed their system from check in, room service, housekeeping calls to check out. Check in - Very professional FO department. However, I arrived past 2pm around 4pm and the room is still not available. They did the standard check in procedure first and gave me a welcome drink then asked to be seated while the room is being prepared. LITTLE DO THEY KNOW I UNDERSTAND TAGALOG since I'm half pinoy. So while I'm there signing on the registration form. I'm amazed how FO's here compromise and talk to guest even though there are still no vacant clean rooms. They call the HK supervisors, BEGGING FOR ROOMS. I pity FO's here. They do everything, theyvare the concierge and telephone operator aw well cause they don't have that! Chaotic work. As much as they can they accommodate guest properly, while answering telephone calls, errands from how many people at the same time. Multitasking at its finest. I see them taking notes when there are request, not just from the guest but also from housekeeping supervisors too. (I identified the supervisors because of their uniform and heard their name at front desk then seeing them at hallways so yeah i knew who they are) How crazy is that? Such poor management, housekeeping supervisors should have direct contact with their respective room attendants for fast & efficient communication/service. Housekeeping - Room attendant Rey, charlene and arlyn are very kind and they are polite. The room attendant i encountered as rude is rhudy ann/anne? She looks like she doesn't like her job or something, grumpy. Also, the housekeeping supervisor rudy the old man with glasses? Over heard him in the hallway while I'm waiting for the elevator Ranting "ANG KULIT NG MGA FO SA BABA SABI NG PUPUNTAHAN KO PALANG KWARTO, KAINIS". - what kind of supervisor is this? if he doesn't know how to respect his co-workers then he should resign. Very incompetent Check out - Checked out at 12, and i guess its lunch time so room attendants took quite awhile to check my room, it took like 30 minutes. before i got cleared. I like naming them so future guest will know who is who. The building is old, the rooms too and smelly carpet. Very few housekeeping staffs obviously that's why its slow. They have many guests so room transfer takes too long. Its a 3 star hotel yet this one doesn't really appear to be one.

« Good hotel, fair rate »

Like most Best Westerns this place is good. Spacious rooms, even the standard room. Shower and bathtub available. Nice view at the higher levels. Just the free wifi connection is poor. Outside the hotel lots of bars and restaurants, all closeby. Maybe annoying are the streetvendors (Viagra etc) and the very young ladies....

    « Poor experience - Not Recommended »

On arrival the non-smoking room I had requested was not available. I was put in a smelly smoking room and eventually moved the next day. The restaurant is currently closed "for renovation" but open for breakfast although there seemed to be no evidence of construction. Room service is available. The buffet breakfast was very patchy. Some days OK and other days the 6 choices of hot food were nearly inedible. Juice is orange or pineapple "drink" i.e. a form of cordial. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate (quite good). Table clearance slow. The room was without hot water for 3 days despite 5 requests for assistance. The cable TV was inoperative for 2 days and repeated requests for updates were met with shrugs and "don't knows". The air-conditioning failed. It seems there are real problems with the internal electrics, causing regular short-outsof fuses. Hordes of small ant-like insects infesting the area around the refrigerator area. Room safe and adequate cupboard space. Laundry service OK. On the plus side, the location is excellent and the room size is good. The price is consistent with the area and much less than near the business centre of Makati. The porters are helpful.

    « Excellent stay »

I had checked to the hotel for four nights. I have to admit that this is one of the best service I received for my entire stay. The standard of service level is awesome. Especially from front office and housekeeping. Both department very efficient and personalized. It will be incredibly a miss is I fail to mention the staff names. FRONT OFFICE: Paul, Sheila, Jasmin, Juliann HOUSEKEEPING : Janette, Charlene... I will strongly recommend this hotel to my colleagues and friends.

« Dated and smelly. Poor management. Many other far better options close by »

This hotel cost roughly the same as many newer (and better) hotels in the immediate area. I had stayed here several times in the past....and it wasn't bad. This time, it was very evident to me that management is just doing a poor job running this hotel. First off, the rooms stink of mold. Oppressively. The carpet is so dirty, it is beyond words. The sheets are threadbare, and stained. There is not phone directory in the room. No room service menu. No mini-bar pricing card. The AC blows out warm and smelly air. The wifi cuts out continually. You get the picture - it's a very obvious case of management either not caring, or unwilling to do what it takes to make this a reasonable place to stay again. If you want a cheap dump (that is what the Oxford has become) stay at the Citadel just down the street for 1/2 price. If you want a nice hotel, stay at the Berjaya only a few blocks away for the same price - much nicer. I won't stay here again.....

« Nice stay, reasonable price, good location. »

We had a nice breakfast, room size is good, very clean and they have balcony. The only issue was we tried to call front desk for assistance and we had to call them 5 times and it took them more than 2 hours to send someone to assist us.

« Hotel running down. Bad location. »

Hotel is super old and running down. Location is in red light area which is extremely dangerous for single ladies. Hotel shuttle is ripped off. Everything is as good as its cheap price. Don't expect more than what you have paid.

« Good place. Good location »

For the price, location and quality of the room/hotel it's worth the money. I paid roughly 2500 pesos net but this did not include breakfast. The rooms are large and nice and the location is great but not an ideal location for families since it's very near the red light district. For 2500 pesos net per night or less it is worth staying. If it is more than stay somewhere else.

    « Cockroaches »

This hotel is overrun with cockroaches you have been warned The food is very poor and the air con is old and needs replacing In the middle of a red light area so not suitable for families Very expensive transport service from this hotel

    « never better »

as always the the staff are just the best only down side the breakfast is aimed at locals and not people from other countries it would be nice nice if they did think of us even if just a little bacon or something

    « Old glamour feel »

Good: - very clean room and bath - staff were very courteous even if I'm a local - even though I waited for an hour for checked in, they upgraded my room - comfortable bed - location is great. A lot of restaurants outside and you can walk to Century Mall - since its an old hotel, you get the old glamour feeling. Everything were grand. - great value for your money Not so good: - the hot and cold shower were a bit difficult to operate. It would be either super hot or super cold. - they gave me a magnetic key card but the door knob needs an actual metal key - one staff knocked on my door to check if the room was occupied. (they should know)

« Clean and professional staff »

We spend one night there while waiting for our domestic flight after coming back from Banaue. The room are comfortable and the staff are friendly. We will return there if we need to spleep again in Manila.

« Excellent location for nightlife »

Stayed here as a part of a large group on a golfing weeking. Centrally located, near to Green Belt, near to the bar scene. The street outside is very much geared to visitors looking for a good time. Not a family or romantic location. The rooms are large, affordable and clean. Breakfast is adequate with a surprisingly cheerful man on the eggs counter who recommends the fish. He was right, it was good. Frustratingly one of the three lifts was not synced with the others. At busy times eg breakfast that led to long delays.

    « Excellent clean accommodation »

Well this was a really lovely room clean & tidy accommodation the staff are fantastic , friendly & welcoming I will definitely return to stay here & the Buffett breakfast is well worth having the chief cooked the best omelettes for us every morning I highly recommend a stay here of your in makati I booked my room from my Quantas app & it was at a great price almost half the normal rate Thank you to all the staff very professional & courteous I enjoyed my stay Cheers

    « Disappointed ?? »

My actual stay was in December 2014 but I don't have TripAdvisor back then. LOCATION: - I must admit, location is nice since it is near almost everything. From convenient stores to banks to restaurants and massage parlors/ spa. - It is also easy to get Uber, Cabs or Grabtaxi/ car STAFF: - One of the worst experience ever!!! Although, the manager tried his best to pacify me and my partner it is still not enough to give them a good rating. - Their staff members are not well informed of the things that the hotel offers. I have only asked for 2 things and it is very simple - I only asked for STARWORLD Channel and flat screen TV before I booked the room. The online representative assured me that both are available. Of course, both requests are not available upon check in. I was really disappointed and so frustrated because they do not want to refund my money since it is an advance booking. I have spent an hour arguing with them but nothing happened. ROOM: - The room is very spacious but I can't believe that the furniture are so old including the old CRT MONITOR TV. - The air conditioning was broken so the technician had to go back and forth before it gets fixed. - Beds are comfortable though. AMENITIES: - We did not check if they have a pool or gym or restaurants since we didn't go out the entire time because we got tired trying to cancel the room. FOOD: - Our reservation comes with buffet breakfast but I ended up just doing taste test since I did not enjoy the first plate I took. Majority of the food are bland even the fruits. It's really disappointing. OVERALL: - I am not recommending this hotel because it's not worth the price.

« Outstanding hotel and staff. »

The staff at this hotel is what makes it shine. They truly work to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The restaurant only serves breakfast buffet after that you call room service. The buffet is not the biggest I've seen but it was more than enough for me and was alway tasty and served at the right temp. I'm not a big eater but at this buffet it tasted so good I went back for seconds on several occasions.

    « amazing staff »

stayed in this hotel for a total of 8 nights in April 2016. some of the rooms really need updating but the staff were more than willing to move me when i asked. this hotel doesn't air condition the hallways or the elevators so... it can get kind of hot when you leave your room. and they desperately need more elevators. but overall, excellent location, amazing staff!! good price, OK building.

    « good room ... bad location .. lol »

stayed here with friend as business trip .. the hotel is nice ,,room number 2001. this is the 3rd time stay same room number. the location is ok also as its located near the restaurants .. but unfortunately its with in the vicinity of the red light district ,, as in when u go out at night youll see lots of foreign people looking for hookups ,, lol you will see massage therapist, sex workers, etc. looking for a sideline job .. but over all the hotel is good nice staff courteus and excellent ..

With a very courteous and professional staff and excellent overall value for a budget traveler, you can never go wrong in making your stay at BW Oxford suites. The breakfast included in the hotel stay is very good and there a lot of choices for locals and foreigners.

    « Seedy neighborhood, but a bargain »

I would not stay at this hotel again. It was booked by a coworker because of the value, but the neighborhood (as many have said) is quite seedy (read: Red Light district) and definitely not desirable, even if you're into that sort of thing. The hotel staff was courteous and generally pretty friendly, but it seems they're on the take for the local faire (unconfirmed). The room felt like an old Motel 6, dark and dank. The air conditioning in my room was awful and did not work properly. It was one of those standard Asian wall-mount types, but the flaps fell off when I went to adjust it bc it didn't oscillate per the remote. So, I basically woke up with a headache every morning bc the air conditioning kept blowing on me all night. The redeeming value of the room was that the water pressure in the shower was awesome. Tip: put on those included slippers immediately when you take off your shoes. You don't know what people have stepped on in around the neighborhood. Positive? The location is close to the Century City Mall, which is a nice getaway from the heat and noise. They have great food up in "Hole in the Wall" food court (trust me, it's good). Also, nearby there's a SM supermarket and open bar in the courtyard.

« Comfortable room but smelly carpet »

Pros: -Room was comfy. -WiFi connection was not fantastic but enough to get work done shooting some emails. -aircon was cold and quiet. -bathroom was clean, came with a tub. -alot of 24 hrs ministops around. -TV was great, had lots of channels. - Cons: -carpet flooring was smelly. -water pressure for shower was rather weak and shower head was not adjustable so for my height (1.84m), I would need to either bow my head or half squat during shower. -situated along a narrow alley so for dropping off or picking up, you would need to hop off or get into the car as quickly as possible to prevent holding up the traffic. - lots of transvestites canvassing for business just outside the hotel entrance that it gets irritating if you would just want to go out to grab a bite or some groceries. Not suitable if you are lady and staying alone. May be mistaken for a street walker since the whole Street is full of bars and clubs. -hotel breakfast is miserable. I booked the room without breakfast. Paid 440 peso and ended up having a cup of coffee and 2 sunny side up. - this hotel also leases out rooms for long term stay. There are 3 lifts serving the 20 odd floors and it takes some patience waiting for the lifts especially during the morning and evening time.

« Good hotel, no problems »

Hotel is about 2kms away from Glorietta/Landmark shopping district, but is also $150/night cheaper than staying down in that part of town. A taxi from hotel to the 'Landmark' shopping centre is about 80PHP ($2.50 AUD), or you can walk it in 15-20mins. A few night clubs in the same street as the hotel, as a single travelling business man I was offered various 'services' whilst walking around at night, but they were not very pushy. Hotel is fine, pretty comprehensive buffet breakfast. Helpful and friendly staff. Stayed on the 24th floor. no noise.

    « Customer Service at it's finest »

I have had an opportunity to stay at this property for two nights last week. It was fabulous. Check in and check out was pretty smooth and hassle free. Thanks to Paul and to AFOM Justin. Special thanks to HK Staff for looking after my needs so well, Janette and Rudy made sure my requests were attended to in a timely fashion. I will definitely keep on staying at this property when I am in Makati. Keep it up Guys!

« Great location, indifferent staff »

The hotel is located right on P. Burgos street in the middle of all the nightlife action. The room was ok. My A/C started leaking water at some point. They got a technician who fixed it in about half an hour. This inconvenience, however, did not qualify me for a free late checkout. Also, one day, I left around 9:30am and came back around 3:30pm. My room has not been cleaned yet.

« Good value for money »

This a hotel which is a step away from the party scene which is loud. It is close to restaurants, a mall and clubs. I had a room on the 20th floor which had a great view but the door to the balcony could not have a key. The room was a bit dated but clean and tidy. The bathroom was big with toiletries and fluffy towels. The wifi was good but only available on one device per room so think of that before you book.

« Best bang for your buck and right in the heart of the entertainment »

The location is right at the corner of Party scene and the CBD is just 2 min drive away barring traffic. Nice and big rooms with an optional balcony and the beds are made to sleep till dawn. You also get an in-house massage service which is exceptional than the junk ones outside. Staff are extremely nice, polite and helpful. especially Arvin and Czarina

« Nice and clean room. »

We stayed one night at this hotel in Makati as a stop over before going to Palawan Island. We chose this hotel because it close to the NAIA airport. What we did not know earlier was the location of this hotel is actually located in the red light district of Makati. There are several clubs along the street with funny name and also young girls and ladyboy wandering around.

« good value in makati »

i've been here for six weeks now and overall its a pretty good hotel, rooms are a bit old but cosy enough, all staff are very nice and very helpful, only problem is no hot water at the moment ,but overall a good hotel and very easy to sleep on higher floor...location is great, all nightlife and services just out the front service food is very good...thank you to my buddy rico for taking care of us...will return...a good value hotel in comparison to many others i've stayed makati

« Value for money but little things drag it down »

Clean spacious and functional room. Décor is getting a little old but for the price is value for money. Little things wrong - no hot water. Constant problems in logging onto internet but internet speed is fast once connected.

« Good Hotel to stay in Makati city »

We had a pleasant stay here. Staffs are friendly and cordial. Malls, markets and nightlife is very near.We stayed in junior suite on 22nd floor and the room is very spacious and nice. From our room it is very nice to view the makati city. From Chandrika Choudhury India, Assam

« Book as high up as you can »

Burgos is busy to say the least, being the center of the adult focused nightlife so can be as little noisy. I had a room on the 18th floor and did not get disturbed by noise at all. The hotel is in a good location to access Makati, inexpensive with spotlessly clean rooms. Beds are comfortable, decent storage, a pleasant enough place to stay. Staff are excellent. Recommend due to price and the great staff.

« Makati nightlife Burgos St. »

Stayed for 2 nights n one-bdrm suite, requested the top floor from the busy traffic and entertainments along the burgos st. a night life district. The hotel is at affordable rate, with renovation is needed, along with the shower system hot & cold. Overall, a relaxing, comfortable stay and enjoyed brkfst each morn. Also, the guest services Paul @ front desk & Ricardo - Bellman, was very helpful upon arrival and departure, which provided valued customer service.

« Good location for entertainment »

Its located good entertainment location for friends. Hotel price reasonable and need continues maintenance cause i keep called for fix hot shower in daily. Otherwise nice breakfast and need more collection.surround with many Bar and fast food junction for everywhere.Somehow so pricey metro manila of course Makati :)

« Nice Hotel in Seedy part of the town »

If you are trying to find a Hotel in the Seedy part of town with hookers and people trying to sell you erectile dysfunction pills and bars that have all Filipino women and all the men are not then you can check right into this hotel and bring your hookers right up to the room no problem. I was on the elevator with 2 very very elderly men and 2 very very young females i thought the 2 young girls would get off the same floor and the two old men would get off same floor but 1 young girl and 1 very old man getting off floor together = $$$$$ also it was kind of far from airport

« So bad, wil not believe »

Needs new management quickly. 1) When you first walk in the hotel there is unclean smell, that is mixed with from air freshener, then this unclean smell gets worst in the elevator and thru out the hotel, especially your home 2) Rooms are dirty, carpet is nasty, walk around with white socks, and look at your socks, house keeping does not use a vacuum that works effectively 3) ants and cockroaches, leave some sweats out on the sink and you will see. 4) all the equipment in the gym was out of order signs on them, saying new equipment on order 5) hot water, kept going out (5x) until I realised how to jimmy rig the heat to stay on by watching the maintenance jimmy rig the repair. 6) management tried to commodate me with a better, after forgetting to clean my room and calling guess service keep ignoring my request (2x) for new towels 7) view outside was view terrible, every night, working girls and homeless rush you immediately stepping outside. This hotel is only good for one thing, single, save money, and do your secret business. This is the naughty hotel, some staff was really nice.

« Hotel with NO Hot Water »

Location wise, this hotel is just by P. Burgos. Plenty of pubs and restaurants around. The Century City Mall is about 5 minutes away and it has a very nice food court. However the hotel itself is crap. Though room is sizeable, the air-cond is way too loud. Worse, the heater does not work and I would shiver every time after my shower. Complained to the front desk and they said they would get it fixed. 3 nights later, I happily checked out, never to return.

    « Pleasant as Always »

Came back again to wind down after the PAL Golf Tournament in Pampanga. As always the check in process was simple and painless and greeted pleasantly by the front desk associate. The room was nice and comfortable but the A/C split unit component in the balcony was very loud and irritating despite the closed windows. The breakfast dining area was clean and complete with good food available to get the day started. The hotel staff throughout the facility,,i.e., restaurant, housekeeping and spa personnel were as courteous as always which made the 2 night stay enjoyable.

« Solid choice in the Makati area »

My stay in Oxford Suite was completely satisfactory. Yes, even on the 15th floor you have some street noise, but I didn't find it distracting. The hotel staff was helpful; telling me were to buy my cell card, location of a super-market, and arranging taxis. Three fast elevators and pleasant lobby will add to your comfort. The only annoyance was men on the street trying to sell erectile medicine and perhaps there were some loose ladies about, but nothing aggressive. I didn't eat in the hotel restaurant, but there were terrific choices of those and club in the immediate area. I recommend the property.

    « November 24th thru the 29th 2015 »

Be very careful when booking this hotel the restaurant staff is absolutely magnificent front desk very good also but as far as the rooms go they're all individually owned condos Best Western rents them for the owners I asked for a non smoking room and was put into a smoking room the smell was unbearable call the front desk to tell them about the problem and that I wanted to change rooms they said they had nothing available had to till the next day no other hotels when I have that kind of a problem before had waived the cost of the room for that night here they wouldn't even think about it would never stay here again most of the rooms are old and outdated stay someplace else

« Winding down Baguio Trip »

Great location, close to shopping center and airport. Good room accommodation and excellent staff throughout the hotel. Nice entertainment with live band in the dining area during my stay. In room massage service available and good breakfast menu to start the day. Will stay there again on next trip to the area.

    « decent place »

stayed here for one night as we were flying elsewhere the next day. price is ok, hotel is a bit old but not too shabby.. location around the hotel felt a little 'red light' to me tho, lots of bars and nightlife. we ended up taking a cab to the ayala mall as there was nothing interesting nearby that was of walking distance. with so many other hotels around, i'd probably stay elsewhere next trip to manila..

    « never stay here!!!! »

a terrible hotel,we got here last monday jan 25 we entrusted our luggage to the staff coz we need to do some shopping and when we get back and finally went up to our room one of our luggage handle was broken, sink is not working properly..airconditioner not runnin smoothly..ants are everywere..internet was horrible too...we are booked for two nights but not really happy so we moved to picasso..i will never come back in thos is not tight as well..horrible place..

« Not all Trip Advisor comments are valid »

I was concerned about a trip adviser comment claiming her 'cat' caught fleas at this hotel. My first concern was 'does this hotel allow animals?'. Anyhow I called up the hotel before my trip to see what was going on. Anyhow I decided to try it out and I found it to be fine, no fleas and no cats! I found the staff very helpful especially arranging our tour at such short notice. I guess some people have a bad experience in some hotels but my views are completely impartial and I would consider this hotel again both for customer service and budget value!

    « Less then expected »

We have stayed at a lot of Best Western's recently and this one just didn't cut it. Location was ok and price was fine. Very hard to get more then one hand towel and they offer no facecloth. When we were leaving we had a few hours to kill. Front desk admitted they were far from full. House keeping admitted they wouldn't get to our room for a while, but they refused us a late check out and we spent an hour sitting in the lobby. As to room, we had them get the air con going 4 times, and spent one very hot nite. Bed was small and not too good. All in all there are lots of hotels in the area and I think we will try a difrent hotel next visit.

    « Overnighting in Makati »

Spent two nights in the Oxford Suites this trip, and previously spent ten nights here a couple of years ago. One thing I can say about all my stays in the Philippines is that the staff were always friendly and helpful. This place is comfortable and pretty good for the price. Previous visits had me enjoying the in-house band playing in their downstairs private room, complete with a bar. New Year's Eve had the same band playing on the roof, with the magnificent city-wide fireworks that go for about 40 minutes full-on but have spurts that make it to an hour altogether. Really worth filming - it's great. Back when the Australian dollar was 45 pisos to the dollar (currently around 33/dollar), dinner and drinks with the band cost AUD$18 +/- and was worth every cent. Now, the actual residence is getting a bit old, and you can see the age in the place, but it's still worth the money you pay to stay here, as you're in a central location, which is hard to beat. One problem I had is with the toilets in most places, as they are all too low, and the flow is of the American design, which means there's more water in the bowl, and that's what is used to flush the toilets, which means that they block easily. Not saying that I'm expelling more than anybody else, but I did notice that I had this problem with most places in which I have stayed. Many times I've had to ask for the plunger, and most places ask you to put any extra tissues used in the bin rather than flushing them. The bed was comfortable enough and that has remained a constant with my stays here. Breakfast is good and reasonably priced and you can ask for an omelette to be made especially for you. This was the place that served the best breakfast on this trip according to my tastes. While only staying here for two nights, I had to ask them to remagnetise my keycard twice, as it failed to open my door, which is a small peeve, as I was tired and hurting and then had to go back down in the elevator to get reception to do that for me. In conclusion, this is a good-priced stay and is very well located and a very short walk to the bars. It only cost AUD$6 to get to this place from the airport, yet took about 3/4 hour due to the traffic. It's worth the money, with only one place being in contention for equally close location but looks a bit younger and more flash than the Oxford Suites. (No names, no pack drill).

« Perfect base of my Endeavor »

Booked for a 2-night stay from Agoda for $109, stayed with my mom as it's close to German embassy of which I had an appointment by the next day. Room was exceptionally neat despite of its age. It has a dainty bath tub and a nice view since we were on the 23rd floor if I recalled it correctly. I chose the non smoking room even though I'm a smoker, only because I was with my mom. LOL. We didn't picked the option that includes breakfast as we wanna try the restaurants nearby also because we'll just miss it, but we had our brunch after my interview which is average. I'm a bit picky with flavors. I personally would recommend this hotel.

    « Decent »

Had a stay here. Building and hotel is old; but in terms of space, the jr. suite was still big and still had the nice window view. The hotel receptionist check us in only after 30 minutes despite being on schedule. Breakfast is alright; still has the selection that required.

    « overall »

This hotel is excellent. I only had one problem with a doorman. Otherwise, the rest of the staff were excellent Good location; good service; and clean. I have stayed at this hotel before and would definitely recommend it for other travelers

    « Good Value »

Well located for Makati night life. Lots of shopping and restaurants and within good distance from greenbelt. Friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Front desk very helpful and friendly, excellent customer service.

    « Good hotel »

Nice hotel. Good enough for having a good and resting night. In the middle of busy night street bar so ask for a room not on the street view. The rooms are comfortable and the staff is nice and helpful. I didn't try the restaurant as there is a lot around.

    « Nice hotel, but »

Nice hotel for the price, had a junior suit. Nice big room. Clean, comfortable but the noise from the street was terrible, cars honking there horns and traffic all night, I couldn't wait to leave. Walking distance to century city, 200 pesos I. Taxi to Greenbelt mall.

    « Good clean hotel »

I staid for 2 nights in room 1906 The room was clean and big. The bed very comfortable. Shame about the smell of damp. A special thank you to the bar and reception staff for helping me sort my flight out . All in all a good hotel with professional staff. Thank you

    « Great location - great hotel! »

Spent the last night here before returning home. Enjoyed the hotel immensely. Location is excellent, in the heart of Makati close to the popular bars and clubs. Room was very spacious, clean and after two weeks on the islands a bath with amenities was very welcome! Highly recommended. Something to keep in mind would be that a whole lot of taxes are not displayed on some booking websites and should be added. Be aware of the kids hanging out in the area. We were robbed around the corner from the hotel. The police reacted immediately and even though we didn't get our money back, I can commend their efforts!

« Smelly room and infested with fleas!! »

Room smells like old dirty damp towels... Avoid room 1107 as we brought fleas all the way to our house abroad my cat who has been indoors all the time had fleas when we came back I'm sure it was from this hotel no wonder we were itching during our stay there...

« Just average, nothing to write home about »

Was two days there, first day no slippers in the room, no shampoo or other accessories in the bathroom, second day they appeared out of nowhere. Staff friendly but unprofessional. In view of offered services, rather overpriced.

« Comfortable stay and great value BUT seedy area »

I stayed for business purposes and the hotel was convenient and no-fuss. Rooms were a little dated but otherwise comfortable. Food was adequate and breakfast was more than passable. Service levels were generally good with courteous staff. It is located in the red light district and so the area is run down and rather seedy. The rates are rather good and so value for money objective is achieved - perhaps allowing one to overlook the squalor in the vicinity.

    « Falling Standards »

Not the first time. Has always been good value in past, but this was disappointing. Staff entered my room at 6.30 AM. Reason given..."he just made a mistake". I'm struggling to understand why a bottle of water with a BLUE cap is free, yet a bottle of water with a GREEN cap costs PHP49. Struggling also to understand why I have to seek an explanation why my room was breached at 6.30am. The standard rooms are small but comfortable with a tight bathroom. Minimal product is supplied in bathroom. The slightly larger "deluxe" rooms are reasonable value if booked through Agoda, but across the desk you'll pay extra 2,000+. Hard to understand why such a massive difference in price. Explanation offered for huge price difference? ... "because we can". Another example of charging inflated prices because demand is high, not charging based on the value of the product. Will not return to Best Western Oxford in the future. There are better options in Manila than this tired second rate venue.

    « in the TOP »

Just go there and u'll find out, such a nice place in central of Makati, kind and freindli people and great to stay there, just try it............been there often, always return to that place because of all what they gives to you..........

« Old and not maintained »

Very old hotel .Not maintained well.Waiting time for lift is very long.At least 10 mins to set aside each time to go from 14th floor to ground floor.Rooms are not up to the mark. The room carpets are dusty, dirty and very old.Food is so,so.Not much choice in breakfast.

    « Comfortable, nice »

Upon arrival, the staff at the lobby is friendly and nice. Need to pay PHP1000 per room for deposit. They give us coupon for welcome drink at the in-house cafe while waiting for them to prepare our room. Checked in to room located on 12th floor (non-smoking floor). Room smells old but clean, big and comfortable. Restaurants, bar , 24-hour store and money changer are within 5 min walking distance. Not suitable for family with small kid(s) as the place/street is too noisy even at night.

    « Okay layover stay »

We had two nights layover in Manila and booked this place in advance through agoda. We had room 2309 and it was huge. Lots of room for our baggage, full amazing view of the manila skyline and a decent restaurant for breakfast which is a buffet. Location is close to the airport and if you want nightlife it's at your door. P. Burros is party central but nobody bothers you and it's fun to just sit at one of the bars and watch the freak show. The staff are super helpful. Only wish they had better hot water and the rooms could be updated... But then the price would go up. So ya can't have it all.

« Good location, room depends on your luck! »

Due to my plane arriving early morning (6am), i figured the safest way to get to the hotel was a hotel transfer from the airport for 1200 Pesos. That being done, as it was still early the hotel did not have a room so I hung around the area. The staff were fantastic, jolly bunch. My room had a weird musky smell, but I'm not bothered. However, it is not too bad compared to my friends'. Some had to change rooms because the floor was leaking. Others due to dead batteries in the room lock, faulty safe etc. Quite frankly, the others were quite disappointed with the state of the hotel. Do hope the hotel can look into these issues. A revamp is badly needed. Like, BADLY.

« Very Poorly Managed Hotel »

Although located right in the middle of the adult entertainment area, this hotel is very poorly managed and there are better options close by. For the price paid you can get much better quality and service in nearby hotels. I can't recommend this hotel unless you are really desperate for somewhere to stay on P Burgos.

« BEST WESTERN Oxford Suites Makati. »

This hotel is in the heart of the Makati. The entertainment hub. I would not think this place is children friendly due to the nature of the entertainment. The rooms are average depending on what type of room you choose. Reasonably clean and serviced daily. The buffet breakfast is quite good and the friendliness of the staff is outstanding.

« Great location, excellent value. Nothing to complain. »

Having two more days to stay in Manila, this hotel is excellent value. Right on P. Burgos Street, with entertainment left and right. Of course not quite the entertainment for kids. But for adult entertainment or spend some time with your spouse or partner is great. Rooms are roomy, bathroom is good. Little outdated having a combines shower and bath with high step as a result but OK. Shower is warm and powerful. Beds comfortable. Rooms are quite. All basics ticked. The one thing I didn't like is the Wifi limitation to one device. Old fashioned. But hey for this price one cannot complain. Breakfast is OK. All basic continental items covered in limited selection. Best Western offers a great value with this hotel. Highly recommended.
