This hotel provided excellent accommodation during my stay in Makassar. My room was spacious, had a beautiful city view. I liked the pillow, it was just right to help me sleep comfortably. There are also several spots that are very Instagrammable. The hotel staff is also very polite, accommodating and friendly.

Book a high spot to get a good view and sample all the menu items. if you want to get hotel location you can use map or find loasari beach. I don't see any hotel vehicles available to take guests to the airport, but you can use online taxis for 24 hours.

I was interested staying at this hotel because of the price. With that price, I lowered my expectation but it actually turned out great. The internet was great, the check in process was fast, the room was good with warm lighting. Unfortunately, I wished the AC would be cooler than it was. The amenities were almost complete, the shower and bathroom were clean and good. The warm and cool water worked well. I hoped the towel was newest since I thought it needed replacement.

First of all it's my first time to visit this hotel, and the first impression Was not to nice, secondly I hv to wait for sometime for my check in time which I understand the rules, during the waiting time for my room to be ready I went for lunch at 3rd floor, when I saw them preparing their buffet I asked them if I can hv the buffet? They said NO firmly. So I order the alacarte, I ask the special menu from makassar which is Coto makassar, after they took the order the waitress came back said it's not available and recommended me with another dish, I said ok since it's from makassar too I don't mind to try it. The waiting time of the dish to be ready it took for ages, once its delivered its still cold and the beef are raw. I asked the waitress to reheated but once they bring it back its still the same and I can't even eat the dish. No one apologize when I send back the dish and asked them to tell the chef. Somehow this hotel need a good employees who can treat their customer better so they will comeback next time even if their food are tasteless. I will never comeback to this hotel if I had a chance to visit makassar again because it's totally disappointed. As a hotel graduate and a front liner employe I must say the service of this hotel it's very low standard. Hoping the management can improve more training and making better services.

I had arrived on the 15th March and served by Ms Ria as the receptionist and the stay experience was so great. The room was spacious and the hotel location was so perfect since it nearby the central of Makassar city. Food at the restaurant was good and had a great taste of Indonesian food. This hotel would be my consideration for the next Makassar trip.

The staff are very helpfull. The room is clean, but the towel looks old. When I was in the lift, there is an advertisment about the discount if you stay at the hotel until 20th january. So I ask the reception why they did not put it on the social media. And they said the promotion was for internal use. I have to pay more just because they did not put it on the social media.

I decide to choose this hotel for celebrating new year this year based on my friends recommendation , and really this hotel gaves us extraordinary services, the most completed dish provide at the lobby when we arrived, warm services at the reception we got the room with nice view of makassar city , and the food upon gala dinner was really nice a lot of variance with wonderfull taste. The front office staff say they upgrade my room, the front office staff is so nice, really helpful. The room is great, clean, spacious. The bathroom amenities is good. The air conditioning is working well, despite took time to make it cold.

I spent a night with my family and friends in this lovely hotel to celebrate 2020 new year. And guest what? Its amazing!!! This is my second time staying, and my first to bring all my family to enjoy new year. The service is beyond expectation, the room is super clean, the food is excellent. During the new year festive, they served food and drinks at the lobby, and it was very nice. You can eat as much as you can while the staff taking care of your luggage and check you in. Such a wonderful experience. Thanks to all the staff for their warm welcome and i will put this lovely hotel as my only choice for the next family trips.

This was my first time arrived at Makassar and the airport driver recommend me to stay at Best Western Plus Makassar Beach. I was served well by the female receptionist and got a free charge of coffee while waiting for my room setup. The sea view are very nice,the room are neat and clean,the hotel staff were helpfull and kind. Definitely will come here again at my next visit.

Stayed here one night only, but impression was very good from the first time. Check-in went very good, and with a smile. Just ask reception for something, and they will try to accomplish it. We had to wait a long time that morning for our driver (due to a misunderstanding), but the staff of this hotel helped us out great. Manager spoke to us just out of interest, and so did the HR-manager. Waiting there was made very comfortable.

Such a good place to stay for business trip. This place is located in a strategic area near losari beach. The room are good and have vintage concept which is great. The night view from my room is great. The food was good. But, it takes quite a while to check in.

The hotel is in strategic location at the heart of Makassar city. You can easily go to Losari Beach and buy souvenirs at Unggul or Cahaya shop. They have great service, rooms are great and fully equipped.

This is my first time stay in best western hotel at makassar. Overall is good performance (services, quality, hospitality, wifi, laundry, swimg pool, fitness, karaoke, meeting hall, breakfast, lunch, dinner menu, etc). Need improvement: the TV broadcast is not clear. The hotel location is not far from mall, close to the mosque and close to the traditional food (jalang kote).

I have been coming back to this hotel because my work requires me to come to Makassar every month. I found the service of the hotel staffs are excellent. Especially the hotel drop off driver Mr. Ikbal who have been very friendly and communicative

For the last 3 years my job requires me to travel to Makassar at least once every 2 months, I've stayed in so many hotels before I finally landed on Best Western Plus and there's no other place I'd rather stay since then. The room are spacious and comfortable, check in and out take less than 5 minutes, buffet and room service are great, but for me the real unique selling point is their service. You get a real service from the heart! They notice your preference, such as where the side of the building that you like, and even where the side of the bed that you sleep on (and that's where they will put the slippers!). There was one time when I had meeting there and got so busy that I didn't have time for snacks, one of the staff just brought me the snacks and coffee without asking. Don't miss their complimentary chocolate cookies when you're checking in, it's superb! Looking forward to come back in a few week.

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. When me and my friend were eating the breakfast we found tiny bugs and cockroaches in the food. We were told by the manager's assistant not to reveal this to the public..and they promise to refund the full amount of my stay over there. But i feel everyone needs to know this. My friend and I were vomiting for few hiurs in the room. We could not go anywhere because of the dirty and poisonous food which were served to at the breakfast buffet.

The price is reasonable with small swimming pool and small fitness center, just walk to reach losari boulevard, food and beverage are tasty, i met with Mrs. Chalsum Devita and Mr. Yoshua Richard (Sales Team) they are very humble and helpful.. I spent 2 nights with my family (6 yo child and 6 months infant) during Ied Fitri holiday. But this hotel not crowded as the other hotel. What I like about this hotel: • the front office give us the room as per requested (non smoking, twin but big size bed). • we get free flow welcome drink. • I stayed in deluxe twin room. The room size quite enough for 4 of us (including my son can run and play hide and seek) • the bathroom size is good, it has bathub anyway, yeay! • the bed are good, size also good. • the hospitality of the staff are the best.. from the security, front office, restaurant, room service, and my best score give to housekeeping because they never bored to help me everytime I asked them to clean up the room (it because i have a baby) • borrowing table ware (plates/ bowls and spoons) didn't charged. Even I asked it plenty times. • the food and beverages one of the best part in this hotel. Various buffet from international to local food, everything are delicious. And you can get local food such as "sup ubi / bassang / jamu/ etc". And the served sushi also. Good enough for me and family. • I do like the behaviour of the guestes.. eventought most of them are locals, but they are polites and not loud (I had experience in high price hotel but low behaved of the guest) • the facilieties are good , there is pool, gym, parking, bar, cafe, but all in small size. But satisfying. • I like the semi indoor pool concept. My son can swim everytime without worrying of the sun burn. • location is the best, if you are culinary tourist. Most famous local food you can get by walking distance. In this hotel, you will never get starved. Unfortunately, there's some points that unsatisfying : • the AC must be a little dirty, because since we arrived in the hotel, my 6 months infant can't stop coughing ( he's allergic of dust, but thanks to the location is very near with the child hospital) • the color of the room is a little dark for me, so it looks old. • the hot water in the shower doen't works around bath time (08:00-12:00) maybe because many people use it in the same time. But overall, I like this hotel has a lots best things to offer but affordable price.

The hotel and the staff far exceeds our expectations. The room that we stayed in was big, well maintained and clean. We were traveling with a baby and a toddler so breakfast was also one of the things we were concerned about. So we were happy to see that both our kids enjoy eating their breakfast, as does my wife and myself. During the stay, we spilled some medicine on the bed sheet and it left a stain there. We were concerned that BW will be charging us for property damage, but the staff and even the hotel manager himself came to see us personally to tell us that they won't be charging us anything because of this little incident since it was an accident. The staff showed us empathy when we told them that it was a syrup medicine for our son. Our experience with BW was nothing but wonderful. We will sure be staying in this hotel again in our future visit to Makassar. And on top of that, the location of the hotel was great. Smack down in the middle of the city. Lots of food and shops nearby. The only sad thing was that I wasnt able to try out their gym and swimming pool since we were too busy running around the city for our culinary adventures :)

I've been staying in Best Western for about 1 week and plan to check out tomorrow. I feel this is the best hotel I ever stayed in Indonesia, particularly Makassar. I arrived in Makassar at 2 am in midnight and I could check in easily, though there was a miscommunication between marketing and front desk caused I couldn't have airport transfer. However, it is okay and not been any problem at all. I like this hotel very much. Service is excellent, almost all hotel staff is kind, friendly, and helpful. The room is great, not too spacious and narrow. Bed and bathroom are clean. The laundry is timely and clean. Breakfast has various kind of food, local and international, and again, their staff is soooo friendly. The only thing that the hotel must focus on is the swimming pool. It is too small and in the weekend morning is always crowded. But nevermind, take a short walk outside the hotel and you can find various restaurant instead.

Warm welcome on arrival and very friendly and competent front office staff. Early morning departure unfortunately meant I wasn't able to experience breakfast but was offered breakfast box. We booked one night here at the beginning of a week long tour through South Sulawesi. Why it's called Makassar Beach stays an unsolvable riddle, as there is no Beach anywhere near. The Hotel is obviously popular with Indonesian business travelers and families alike. We were the only western guests, yet one needs to mention, that it was during off season. The service was professional and very friendly. We had a deluxe room, which was spacious and clean. It was as charming as you can expect a Best Western Hotel room to be ;-) ... it's a straight forward standardized hotel room. Breakfast buffet is rich, with mostly local dishes, the quality of the continental breakfast section, however, was mediocre. Would I stay here again? For the purpose it served our needs. No complaints. 3.5 stars... 4 would be a bit much, though.

Interior design of the hotel kind of old, but the bathroom look nice, breakfast is poor and the lift is not sufficient and the waste management also very bad, it smell very bad at the parking lot. The only plus point for this hotel is its strategicly located in the city center.

My room on the 11th floor was modern, spacious and well equipped with writing desk, arm chair, TV table, luggage cabinet, wardrobe, and a king sized bed with space to spare. Efficient aircond, in room safe, slippers, shaving mirror, kettle, flatscreen TV, free wifi - what else does one need? The hotel offers non-smoking floors which is why I chose it over another hotel which didn't specify non-smoking rooms on its website. The windows are not double-glazed however, so even on the 11th floor, I could hear the traffic below into the wee hours of the morning. Also, seaview rooms have a view of the rooftops more than the seafront. Breakfast on the 3rf floor was generous and varied, and in a cozy setting as well. Outside the hotel, it's hot and dusty and crossing the busy street is dangerous. It's a short walk to the Makassar waterfront, and there are many hotels located much nearer, but overall, it's comfortable, welcoming, good value for money for a short stay in Makassar.

Hotel staff's are friendly and willing to help. I appreciate when I need a box to pack my stuff , they've been extra mile to find me a box. It will be even better if they can improve its quality of internet for I have just been able to connect for few minutes and the remaining 2 days - I could not connect to internet. In addition, the quality of food can be better. Honestly, the food for breakfast or lunch were not appealing . The good part I could sleep well. Thanks

This is my second stay at this hotel. The hotel is comfortable and functional with good beds, nice bathrooms and good wifi. However On my second stay I was disappointed to be given a room on a smoking floor with the advice that the room has been properly cleaned and the non smoking rooms had sold out. The room stank and had the non smoking rooms really sold out, that should have been advised at the time of booking and I would have gone to another hotel. I was also told that I could upgrade to a deluxe non smoking room. A non smoking room was identified when I persisted. This is poor behaviour on part of the hotel and I felt like an undervalued and unappreciated customer and this behaviour damages the whole brand.

we stayed at BW Makassar for 1 night. It just a perfect place. the room is clean. the officer is kind and helpful. the breakfast is good. one of the best from BW in our opinion is the comfortable of the bed. overall..BW is highly recommended.

The room is reasonably good. The laboratory need to be improved and upgrade as water at the floor cannot be drains out. The outlook of the hotel is little old and compact. Lobby area is small but declarations is good. The restaurant food is normal but can be improved. The swimming pool is small but clean.

During past 2 years I had travelled to makassar a lot. I have been stayed almost 3 and 4 stars hotel in Makassar. One time I got called from Best Western marketing Ms. Erny and offered me to stayed at Best Western and actually that experience amaze me. The first stayed in Best western I found that my bed cover did not change and my minibar was not refill, I told to Ms. Erni about this and she was response it very quickly. Now after my first visit I got great experience stayed at Best Western, All staff are warm & friendly, I got evening tea everyday with fresh and clean room with newspaper available. This is my second time stay at Best Western Plus. I was pleasant stay at this hotel from very beginning. The hotel room is large, clean and comfort with the bathtub as well. Compare with other hotel with same star and type, Best Western have nice bathtub, others only shower. The staff very welcoming and helpful. All my need during my stay are fulfill. Breakfast is very complete and delicious and I am pleased giving Ms. Eny as the Marketing the highly appreciated to introduce me the Best Western Plus Hospitality.

The lobby is rather ordinary, yet this hotel runs well and is very good value. The rooms are well appointed, functional. The lifts work nicely. The breakfast room is spacious and there is a good range of food. Location is strategic and not right on the often crowded Losari beach strip.

Lovely large room, swimming pool, ice water and juice or iced tea on tap in lobby. Friendly, helpful front desk staff helped us find out how to book the bus for the next leg of our trip and hired the taxi driver to help us do it. There's a huge Western and Indonesian breakfast buffet, including made to order omelettes, that can be set up as part of your room rate or purchased separately. Free in room tea and cakes were provided! Good laundry right next door and Donald Mee bakery restaurant around the corner.

We stayed at Suite Room located in 15th floor. Nice view, spacious room, complete amenities, there is also a welcome drink serve inside refrigerator. The price is really affordable. They serve a lot of variety food and beverage, its really make me confused which to eat. And the most unique is they have 'jamu'. Staff is really friendly and hospitable. Definitely a worth weekend to spend in this hotel. I will come back to here. Thank you for the superb services.

We stayed here for honeymoon,at first of January,after new year celebration.easy and smooth c/i.but we need to waiting about half an hour for the room preparation,because there is almost inhouse guest late c/o until 2pm.we got what we paid,we just love love love the room,clean and comfy,bathroom with bathub inside,complete aminities and large bedroom space,beautiful view,specially from the bathroom,facing to the city but we can see seaview at the left side.perfect! This is the best part,Breakfast.Foods are tasty and lovely!i can't explain too much because i love them all,lot of choice and delicious,even the cheese omelet,God,thousand star for Best Western Makassar Chef!!and also thanks a lot for the resto server,pouring my tea several time^^ Small space at the pool,but we enjoyed because nobody swim at that time,just us.haha. We stayed here twice during our stay in Sulawesi - nice business hotel in walking distance to the city centre. The breakfast buffet was great. Only downside was that I had hoped for an airport shuttle, but what is advertised on the website is really a limo service, no regular shuttle.

Honnestly very very bad for someone who has spent in total over a year back and forth its unacceptable. Very very bad service. Unprofesional. Very very disappointed that i had to leave today to a different place, I just got fed up between the leaking in the bath, staff they keep calling my room for no reason, the noise, wrong food order and so on.

I liked the location, not too far from the bay, but not too close either. They serviced a good, clean room, but with a good price. It can be as an alternative to your mainstream/standard hotel room. However, the amount of breakfast meals were not sufficient compared to the number of guests. So, it always running out of food in breakfast.

This hotel is located very closed to Losari Beach, Makassar. I booked for the standard room but the CS offering me the deluxe one. The hotel room, staff and service were great but it has very small swimming pool and lobby.

Early check in available here, arrive from Bandung at 9.30am, arrived at the hotel at 10.30, check in process quite fast, only take about 10 mins. There is a small swimming pool on the 3rd floor (indoor). Near the swimming pool, small gym are available, and free towel provided for every guests. Deluxe room size is 30 sqm. We can found bath tube in the toilet. Free complimentary mineral water for 2 ppl. In the afternoon, we receive a cookies by hotel served with hot tea into our room, thats very nice. Breakfast also nice, great combination. Indonesian & America food served there was good! Check out process also fast less then 4 mins. Nice place to stay.

The best thing here (apart from the friendly personnel) is the internet which is really quite good. The rooms are reasonable, but not overly special. Breakfast is on the weak side, as is the shower (not hot enough) and the amenities.

Stay at Twin Deluxe Room, the room size is bigger than others 3 or 4 stars hotel at same room category, complete amenities and room facilities such us bath tub at Deluxe Category is point plus for Best Western Makassar because most of another hotel provide bath tub only at Suite Category. The hotel is good, clean and the staffs are friendly. It is not exactly located by the beach but it is only 10-minutes walking to Losari Beach. The room is clean and comfortable. One thing that I found very useful in the room: there are many electricity outlets! I can charge my smartphone, tablet, laptop, mifi, powerbank simultaneously. Unfortunately, the water coming out of the faucet was not "heavy" enough. The shower is okay, though. The room's Internet connection was not the best.... just okay.

Stay 3 nights (19-22 sep) at this hotel for my biztrip in makassar, first impression when I walked in floor corridor the smell of air freshener not very good, to strong, when I want to take shower, found that hot water not working, I complain to room service, they said they will check the problem with the engineer. After 1 hour, tried to open the hot water, still no changed, then call receptionist to complain the same, the receptionist said hot water pipe is closed due to some leaks and propose to me to change the room, the problem why the engineer not informed to me immediately and why they sold the room if there is a problem with the basic facility, I changed the room and got better room with 2 windows show to makassar beach and city, with the same of room type, this room much better such as lighting and furniture. At next until check out, felt comfort with this hotel, my conclusion this hotel combine between old and modern style, and hotel's crew at every level must action immediately if guest have a problem, no need to wait 2nd call and should remove "beach" in the hotel name, because the beach is 400-500 meters from the hotel.

Hotel location on the main street absolutely strategic location, there are some restaurant available nearby the hotel with varied menus. The unforgettable one is privilege breakfast in room with complete menus and free car washing, that's only one in Makassar. This hotel are recommended to stay.

Room was so smelly of cigarette that made me sick. Asked for a room to change but their answer is appaling. Can't change because I had used the room! I just checked in into the hotel and that was their answer... Second tries after I complained, their answer was that rooms are all fully booked at their Superior rate and I needed to upgrade to their deluxe room. No other options are offered even though we've requested for non smoking room. What kind of service are these!? Bad service and there are probably better hotel in Makassar.

We went to Makasar during Idul Fitri holiday and stayed at Best Western Makassar. It is located on big street so it's easy to find. When we checked in, we got our room upgraded from superior to deluxe for free. The room was spacious, well-maintained. There was a bath scale, and the toilet amenities were complete. It was a bit pity that the room flippers and the bath robe was only provided one. The room and the bathroom were neat and clean. The hotel breakfast was satisfying, the egg station might not be too good, but overall...our decision to stay at this hotel was correct. Thumbs up!

After long flight from Jakarta finally I and my brother landed safely at Makassar. First impression from bird-view of Makassar, I also impressed with its beautiful. The Makassar sky is full of light, like a pearl or crystal glows at the night darkness. I miss to picture it inside my camera but I still capture it on my mind. Great welcome from Tanah Para Daeng for us since this is our first visit to Makassar. After a tiring flight, we arrived at the hotel. Luckily our hotel serves us with good room. The cool temperature inside the bedroom help us to take a rest a while before attending the wedding service and ceremony. The ceremony is started from the hotel meeting room before go to the church. The church is located about 5 kilometers from the hotel. Near the beach? Hmm.. not really hehe.. But we take a walk with our relatives from hotel to the beach, maybe take 20 minutes to get Losari Beach. But for culinary spot, I am sure you will get many great restaurant near this hotel. Oya, the food menus are also good, also the services from the hotel crew. Our journey is memorable for us. The first journey to Makassar who glows like a pearl, 'the capital city of Eastern Indonesia.

We spend our long weekend there, i thing best western is a perfect place for family holiday. They have a pool, fitness center and 24hours restaurant. The more important thing is the excelent service that they have. The staff is helpful, they welcoming us very warm and friendly. Every body smiling..really amazing personal touch. And also the room was perfectly clean and comfort. Very happy with them.

Used this hotel for an overnight stay while transitting from Denpassar to Manado. It was advertised as being about a 20 minute drive from the airport and seemed to be the best quality, value for money hotel that suited us as a transit hotel rather than a resort/holiday destination hotel. Unfortunately it took at least 1 hour from the airport, via tollway, in peak hour traffic. Not ideal after a long day of travel. Having said that, the return journey early next morning, no traffic and via tollway, did take only 20 minutes. The room was fine - standard hotel room, bed comfortable, room clean, internet reasonable. Staff good. Restaurant very hot even with noone in it (air con on at all?). Food average. Breakfast reasonable variety of choices for Western preferences. FYI paid IDR 150,000 including toll fares from airport to hotel via arrangements made with tour guide at taxi transfer desk in arrivals hall. Paid IDR 175,000 approx for return journey via taxi from hotel to airport including tolls

i enjoyed my two night stay here, there a little problem with the room service but the manager on duty Mr.Rachmat handle the problem well. the shower was great, the aircon was also great and they also served a good breakfast. it was a good experienced to stay here.

My first time staying in a hotel where the room is leaking when it is heavily raining. Other than that, the food was okay, the room was nice with the hairdryer and stuff, and the hotel staff was very friendly. They provide iPod docking in each room, but too bad the wifi was not so good.

We recently stayed at this hotel for 10 days and found it very good value for money. Our room was light and spacious, meeting and exceeding all our needs. The included breakfast also catered for any culture with a very wide selection to choose from. We found the food in the restaurant very good and the hotel is also really close to several very good western-style restaurants. The staff were extremely helpful, respectful and considerate; we couldn't fault them on any level. Don't get mislead: this hotel is not on the beach (although not too far away). It's a standard Best Western hotel. Rooms are nice and large (room 0702 has a pretty view). They come with a tremendously overpriced minibar and a slow Internet connection. Bathroom was not very nice and amenities of really low quality. That the water out of tab wasn't potable, is unacceptable. Breakfast was OK, but again nothing to call home about. All in all, I'll try somewhere else next time.

The hotel staff did everything possible to make me feel at home. Room was clean and comfortable; fresh drinking water each day. The shower ran a bit cool, but tolerable. It was my first visit of Makassar, and did not realize that is quite modern & big city until get there. My trip was to accompany my spouse on her business occasion, so I was looking for a mid-range price with a good review, and we decided to have this hotel. On arrival at the front desk, I was greeted with an orange juice, just pleasant although that the lounge is not very spacious. Because it was not in high season, I was not reserve it online and it gave me a chance to negotiate for a corporate rate, and I got it. The room is neat & cozy just like any other good hotel but with less price. One little funny thing I notice is, the lift says it has 14 floors but if you look closer to the floor button inside the lift, no floor 4,5,6 listed there. One thing that I was happy about, the place is surrounded by restaurants mostly serve seafood as you walk closer to the Losari beach. Some nice café is also in the vicinity. We were out of luck not having the sea view room.

For the third time I stay at this hotel, I saw a remarkable development, particularly in services, the most obvious is to greet each passed by customers. The price is cheap, but quality of service is best, the rooms were clean, spacious and quiet, increasingly make us feel at home in this hotel. Only one thing that needs to be improved is the quality of WiFi, to slow. Until now I still recommend this hotel as a place to stay while in Makassar.

Just check out today from three night stay for business trip and I can't wait to immediately wants to recommend this place. Location is strategic, you can walk around 10 minutes to the famous losari beach. But what i like the most is their sincere and humble service. Some staff already greet me by name, the housekeeping has adjusted room arrangement based on my habit (though i only stay for three days) . Very impressive and keep up this personalized service!

For this price, it deserves four stars. There are a few things to be improved: My shower was not hot enough and the breakfast was only so-so for a non-Asian guest (bread seemed a week old, but good fruits), but the staff was exceptionally friendly, the room clean with a nice view and although there was music playing in the hallway, it was quiet in the rooms as long as the AC was on. Lunch and finner were good. The hotel does not have a spa, but is close to many excellent restaurants and a ten-minute walk to the beach.

Pool is a bit small but does the trick and pool area great for an evening beer. I didn't try restaurant but had a snack by pool which was great. The staff looked after me so well. From airport transfer that was perfect and I even received an email to give my drivers name and mobile number. Welcome at the hotel was amazing. Room is really nice. Complimentary water and tea/coffee. Reception changed money for me. They phoned to see if I had settled in and had everything I needed. Then they sent me up complimentary afternoon tea! All so good, cheerful, friendly and helpful. I can't rate the hotel enough! I won't get to try the breakfast as I gave to leave at 4am but I have been offered a take out breakfast to take with me. Excellent stay.

This was my second visit. I had a deluxe room and it was quite deluxe: spacious, well appointed and nicely decorated; and there was a bathtub. Sadly, I decided not to use it because the hot water wasn't, it was merely warm, and a warm bath is nothing on a hot one. Breakfast, too, wasn't so hot, either, as other reviewers have opined. I agree: the croissant was a sad representative of the art and the coffee was the usual tasteless swill served in nearly all starred hotels. Oddly, unstarred hotels I've stayed in the provinces often serve excellent local coffee.

Last Week, me and my wife stayed at Hotel Best Western Makassar.. We have returned back to this hotel the past couple of years, due to the location, and excellent service received every time. The front desk staff is incredibly friendly and helpfull. The guest rooms are nice and very clean, the ambiance makes you feel like home! Be sure to book a room that has a big windows, where you can enjoy the view of makassar sea and the city as well. Usually we take our breakfast in the restaurant area where there is indoor and outdoor seating for smoker, but the staff also offers to bring it to your room, if the guest prefers this. This hotel is good value for money, and the service received makes it all so much better than others. Thanks a lot and see you next year...;)

This is my second time to stay here, and I booked it again for my last night here in Makassar as well. This hotel is very nice with truly extra ordinary service. The reception has been just perfect, they make you feel as a valuable customer. Fast and efficient check in and check out. Excellent stay at BEST WESTERN i thing... the staff was so accommodating, respectful, courteous and kind. The rooms are really great with big mirror at the corner. I stayed here only one night for a weekend gateway, with my husband and my almost 2yo baby. We arrived at 1pm, and found that the parking area is very small, but luckily we still got a space to park the car. The front desk staff were super polite, warm and always smiling. We got a cold welcome drink, i think it was orange juice, and it feels refreshing because the weather that day was super humid. Check-in process were fast, so it doesn't take long to go to our room. The room itself, were not spacious, but big enough for my baby to run, climb and jump. The bathroom, came with a bathtub, so it was a plus point, because mostly other hotels charged different price for rooms with bathtub, but not with Best Western hotel. The down point of this hotel were, 1. Eventhough the room looks clean, if you look at it closely, you'll find dirt on the floor here and there. 2. The bath towel had stain mark, also with the pillowcase and the corner seat. 3. They only gives you one pair of room sandals, one bath robe, and one toothbrush (this one i'm not really sure, because there were two boxes, but only one had toothbrush inside, the other one is empty.) Which is weird, because the room is suposedly for two person right? 4. The breakfast buffet menu was standard, but the taste is a bit off, too salty for some menu, and too dried for the others. And the croisant? Doesn't taste like croisant at all, and it's cold and dry, even the butter taste weird. The juices loaded with sugar, too sweet. They served fresh vegetable juices, but i can't taste what vegetables, because i only taste sugar in it. 5. The most down point of this hotel was their rules about towel in the swimming pool, the rules are only one towel per room. How ridiculous is that? The room itself carried 2 person in it, how come we can only borrow 1 towel per room?? Do they expect us to share our towel with our companion? Even I, don't want to share my towel with my husband after swimming, because it will be super damp. Now imagine with other people, who stayed in a room with their friends? Should they share the towel after swimming? Super weird. Eventhough at the end, they gave us 2 towels, but not after i insisted that i want and demand for 2 towels. So there, that's my review about this hotel. Like i said, price never lies. If you want cheap hotel, you get cheap quality. If you want a better quality, go find other hotel that a bit pricey. So no complaint here, i paid for it. Lesson learnt.

The hotel are in the strategic location, close to the city and the beach, you can take a 15 minutes walk to the beach or just take a taxi for about 5 minutes with a cheap price. The room are likely other 4 star hotel also the meeting room, but i very impress with the hospitality of the staff, better than i feel in other hotel so far. Anything we need they give a very good response. Will come here again for sure if coming back to Makassar.

This hotel is located in a strategic location, although on busy streets and crowded, do not worry we'll get quality sleep comfortable and quiet. The rooms are provided (I stayed in a deluxe room), spacious and clean, backed by a well maintained furniture. Best choice hotel in Makassar. I was staying for 3D 2N. My wife love the room interior. And I love the breakfast choices served in the restaurant. Easy access, but small parking lots. Near attraction point and food.

Pick up by hotel's driver who served water and cookies during trip to the hotel. Welcoming by friendly hotel staffs with traditional welcome drink "cold sarabba". No need waiting longer time for taking rest on the cute non smoking room. Room very clean and well maintained. Nice and complete breakfast served on the buffet mixed traditional and western, will stay in this hotel for the next trip. This hotel one of the most recommended hotel in Makassar.

Room is dirty and even after the HK clean the room the next day it is still dirty, the days after it still dirty. Yellow bath towel, spots on bed sheet and bath mat, not standard amenities. There was 1 day I got a nice tooth brush set with BW logo, but the other days only got the tooth brush set that used by "Melati" Hotel. Front office always give you "don't care" type of face and hard to smile, but I found the doorman or the security (not very sure and I forgot his name also) is very nice, he tell me things about surrounding and also "promoting" the restaurant in a very nice way.

I stay at Best Western Makassar at august 14th. I spent 2 night there. Actually, their property is very minimalis, but there is some point that make it perfect for me. The staff was awesome and helpfull with perfect service, Perfectly located all in walking reach. Close from the culinary area whichs seafood restaurants, museum, shoping area and the most important place "losari beach". They have a nice and clean rooms and lot of things included in the room rate. Breakfast buffet top and of high quality .Internet with high speed .Absolutely no issues and problems at all - highly recommended for business and pleasure.

I stayed at best during eid holiday on july. I stay only 1 night, bcs i have to fligt to semarang in the next morning. This hotel located in jalan botolempangan which is one of famous road in makassar. From this hotel is 5 minute ro losari beach by taxi or pete-pete. Or 10 minutes to jalan sombaopu, where it famous as a jewelery street and merchandise. In there you can find disco nuts, matahari chips, and many more. And do not forget this, you should eat coto makassar "Nusantara" near the harbour. Its only a minute from the hotel by pete-pete.

I had previously stayed at a more expensive hotel in Makassar near the beach and this hotel beat the other by miles. The building is new, the staff is very helpful and friendly. My room was great, reminded me almost of a Westin, very modern, fresh decor. Great bathroom and shower with robe. Soft sheets and a comfy bed. The neighborhood this hotel is in I felt safe to wander around. Found some good restaurants very close by. The breakfast buffet was great!
