« Not as the outdoor pictures make it appear. »

The communal areas of the hotel were finished to a good quality giving their 4 stars. The room was a good size, comfortable beds with adjoining ensuite, but pillows in rooms need replacing and upgrading. The breakfast was plentiful with good choices. Parking facilities, were excellent, and private to the hotel, although not easy found if unfamiliar to the area, as they were at the rear of the hotel. The room was rear facing, with no view. The window opened fully, with no safety features, any families with children need to be aware of this danger. Quality complimentary toiletries required. Next to a busy road through the town, the picture advertised makes it appear as if in its own grounds, but this is a through road, busy, and the only outside sitting/eating area is next to the road. We ate in the restaurant, as there doesn't appear to be much choice in the town, the food was beautifully presented and served, polite staff.

« Bring earplugs, a bed, pillow and fungus remover »

Even though the bedroom was small, the bathroom was TINY, dirty and outdated. Lots of fungus in the corners of the shower. Giving the room a bad smell. The sink is a design choice, which disables normal use, like wet shaving. The room is very noisy. The old wooden floors carry steps and movements loudly, the heating pipes kept me up all night. The bedlinnen made my nose clog. Breakfast was mediocre. Staff was very busy with the phone (personal conversation), kept me waiting rather long, for a simple enquiry to the bathroom - and busy with each other. Odd feeling of being ignored. Complaint was taken, was referred to the website.

    « Wow what a disappointment »

After making a reservation by phone with a very friendly staffmember I hoped the hotel would be as good. Unluckily that was sadly not the case. Arriving at the hotel on a weekend day, we were assisted by a stafmember (restaurant not frontdesk) he sad he could not use the system as he didn't know it and the staffmemberr who was supposed to start at 12 had not (arrived yet. She did owever 3 hours later). He was very apologetic and friendly but when I asked for a different room as it was really tiny and gave me a claustrofobic feeling, he said I had to wait till the frontdesk staff was in the Hotel. Whe she arrived she was super friendly and efficient. Unluckily the replacing room for the one that was like a shoebox, was not much different. Just a different lay out which gave it a feeling of being bigger. Compared to other hotelrooms we stayed in The Netherlands this was by far the smallest. As it was for just one night we didn't fuss to much about it. Unluckily, even though the bedroom was ok, the rest/bathroom was TINY, dirty and outdated. Lots of fungus in the corner of the shower space and redges on the floor as well. The room is decorated in a variety of styles and there is no consistency and is not really well thought through. Probably has not been redecorated or fitted with new stuff in a decade of more. The staff was super, the room.....awfull, the breakfast was good but not special and staff, different than the one at the frontdesk, were not receptie. Tree times I had to wait 5 minutes at the bar with the coffee machine to ask for a coffee. Even though the girls walking by had seen me several times. If they can train part of the staff to be more receptive and update the look fo the rooms, maybe even give up a couple of rooms to give the others a bit more space. It would be much better. But with very few comopetitors in the surrounding area it is not likely. A really good placee to have lunch (the restarauant of the hotel is also a good place as I was told by someone who stayed there before. Good but expensive for a hotel with such rooms ) Churchill pub at the end of the road (150 mtrs) up the road is a hoot and has good. Beers, ciders, bar food, all you can eat restaurant at the back and dart and pool corner. Cheers.

« Beds are good but bring earplugs! »

Check in was friendly and quick. Room on the second floor was small and very noisy. The wooden floors make you hear everything. The heating pipes also makes ticking noises and the door in room 203 doesn't close properly so if you sleep with the window open the draft will make it move. Don't go here for the view ;) The room was clean and the beds are good and comfy! WiFi is free and fast. Breakfast is good.

« Excellent value for money - good friendly service and good food! »

Stayed here with a group of friends for two nights - all had single rooms. The rooms were small but comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We all had the 3-course dinner, which was excellent. The staff took into account our dietary wishes (one person glutton free, no dessert but cheese platter) - no problem whatsoever. Unfortunately we had one rather noisy night as it seemed that some guests left in the early hours of the morning - making a lot of noise - suppose the hotel can do very little to avoid this. Excellent value for money/

I visited this hotel second time in December 2016. My opinions are confirmed with this second visit. Thanks to friendly and nice hotel staff for their hospitality. Hotel has a nice restaurant, a pub, tasty breakfast, good working internet in rooms. Access is easy from Amsterdam.

    « perfetto! ???????? »

It is a nice hotel in nice town Made, Netherlands. Hotel staff is warm and friendly. Hotel has a very nice restaurant, a pub, tasty breakfast. Access is easy from Amsterdam. If you are arriving to this hotel from airport or Breda train station, I recommend to take a taxi from Breda train station to hotel. Another option can be by own or rental car. I also recommend to eat in hotel restaurant. In case I visit Made again, I would definitely stay here.

    « A good stay »

We stayed here for 3 nights during a classic car rally. The staff were very good and helpful, the gin and tonics were very different but delicious, the food was very good. The room which we were allocated was rather cramped, so for 15 Euros a night we paid for an upgrade which was worth every cent. The car park is large which is a real must for classic car rallies. We had a great time!

« Good base to explore South Holland »

Large Hotel for a small Dutch town; fully up to Best Western standards. My room was a single, which was rather small with a small bed. The full sized rooms were much better. The hotel has all the usual facilities with two attached restaurants. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choices. There was no coffee or tea making facilities in the room, but the room instructions indicated that you could call down to the desk for hot water and tea/coffee. My single room did not have a safe, but the full sized rooms are all equipped with one. Staff were very helpful, and all spoke excellent English (as do most Dutch).

« ideal for our stay visiting friends »

hotel was perfect for our stay visiting friends in Made. All staff excellent-customer service top. Rooms perfectly clean and functional, very comfortable beds. Reception and bar excellent, comfortable and drinks perfect, I had an excellent gin and tonic cocktail!!!! Breakfast was also top class, food fresh and an excellent coffee making machine. Hotel rated 4star but I think that it's an excellent 3 as I would expect a small gym or sauna in a 4star, in fact I wouldn't hesitate to stay again if it had these facilities. We didn't eat in the restaurant so cannot comment but it looked very organised and people looked quite happy.

    « Just Ok »

Stayed here for two nights in Feb, the hotel is ok but nothing special. The room itself was very basic with no coffee making facilities and smelt very stale as though hadn't been occupied in a while. The bathroom was however very nice. The whole hotel was very old looking and not particularly welcoming. The breakfast was very expensive and the food did not look appetising. The toaster took ages to make very dry/stale toast but at least the coffee was good.

« best in the area »

hotels in this area (west-brabant) are very poor, but this one is not. the hotel looks old, but rooms are surprisingly clean, comfortable and up to date. good parking (though hotel is complicated to get to from freeway-trust your gps). decent restaurant, bar (and a few others you can walk to). all-in-all, stands out above others that look / are newer / fancier (trust me I've tried all in range of 25 miles).

    « " A pleasant village stay " »

In a quiet village lies this simple hotel, infront of a church. It has 4 stars but maybe 4 years ago. Regular room size with simple decoration. Simple toilet. It has a " silent " ceiling fan which is good for a warm room. Breakfast is okay. Personnel friendly. Location is fine. It is surrounded with other restaurant and bars.

« An "All well" hotel »

Nicely tucked away in the village center. Pleasant place. Serve excellent food and have a very nice tavern for before and after dinner. With good weather the terrace is a place to sit and watch the villagers go by

    « Nice hotel »

I stayed it the hotel for 4 nights along business trip. The place is quite, plenty of free parking, room was clean and comfortable. The staff was nice and friendly, breakfast was ok (but not more than that), Wi Fi worked good. Overall god option for people on business trip.

    « A shame about the food. »

The bedrooms were Lovely and the service was very good. However, the food I hot food I was waiting for at dinner one night was cold and had to be sent back. I would not have sent it back if I had known it would take a further 35 minutes to get the same meal back. I do not wish to discredit the company based just on the food as I did enjoy my stay there. I would come back but would hesitate to eat there again.

    « excellent room »

This is an excellent choice if you are in Oosterhout area. The room was spacious and the staff friendly. There is a English pub 2 minutes away where I ate which was great food. The hotel menu itself seemed okay for thdeveningand breakfast was good.
