Easy check in. Great room. Very friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Rates are very reasonable. We stay here every time we go to and from Florida. We always have a meal at Johnny's Pizza. Are only regret is we never have time to use the pool. We'll be back.
They don't help you in any way. You have to ask for everything. Shower was dirty. Watch out,, they don't recognize you as a member so you get your points or stay.
Do NOT STAY HERE! It's dark, dingy, old. The furniture is stained and mismatched. Shower was not clean, I had to purchase shower shoes from the Walmart across the street and towels. Staff unprofessional and unfriendly. Roaches in room!!!!
Bathroom needs complete remodel. Shower was the most frustrating, door was not installed properly and leaked. Shower head dripped all night. Common area carpets need to be removed due to smell and cleanliness
Just needed a place to spend the night, traveling through! Decided to stay there because the reviews were good. As I walked in the hotel look nice and clean and smell clean! The front desk agent, was a lady sorry I don't have the name, she was very nice and welcoming! Got two rooms and they were nice and clean, the comfort of the bed and pillows are just fine. There's breakfast as part of the stay and is very good to start the day. I don't know if it was my lucky day but it was pretty neat for the price. Do recommend! Keep doing the good work!
So on the way down to Southern Florida we stayed at the Country Inn and Suites North but in the way home the rate had increased dramatically so we thought the rate at Surestay seemed reasonable. This is a budget friendly family type hotel or fue the business traveler that won't break the bank still in the Best Western chain. They still feature some amenities but nothing really that special. The check in was easy as was the young gentleman that was on duty that evening. Room was clean and the room had only a stand up shower with no bathtub so that was fine. The beds were firm but were not amazingly comfortable. Breakfast was just ok. Not very many selections and 2 gentlemen took all of the sausage patties and it appeared that the front desk clerk for the morning was also the breakfast attendant and was not really replenishing anything to keep up with all the patrons so some items I did not get to partake of. Really disappointed that I had to go to the McDonald's ne t door as being very hungry. Swimming pool water was very cold while having hot days outside but with a bad back I needed warmer water. Also this seems to be more of the norm as it's more common for the availability for people to obtain drugs with more states making it legal but there was a strong smell of marijuana on the 2md floor. The smell is offensive to those of us that don't smoke it. Do it in your own home please. Do non smoking hotels not have no weed smoking included in that. Also some teenagers were yelling at their parents down the hall. You could hear them while we were trying to go to sleep. Rate was lower but with some of the issues I would have asked to negotiate the rate until more improvement could be made.
We stay at BW at every opportunity, some experiences have not been good, but this property is the exception. The rooms are clean and no carpet! The breakfast is very good, and the price can't be beat! Highly recommend!
First let me start with the front desk agent Ms. Stuart. She gave us exceptional service. She helped us swiftly with our television and ensure that our stay was comfortable. Did I mentioned she multitask with assisting breakfast? The breakfast was awesome !! She deserves a promotion. GREAT STAFF everyone was friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be returning on my way back home.
Price was great and we trust Best Western name, so we chose this hotel. Room was clean but smelled like disinfectant. Shower door didn't seal well so we had a puddle. Fridge was noisy. Breakfast was unattended and running out of things at 8:30.
I was put on the first floor. Asked to move upstairs and I was told no other king rooms left in hotel. Shower head was broken, something bit me all night in the bed, and Waste Management came and emptied dumpster right outside my room at 2:30am. Horrible experience. Moved rooms the next day, toilet had urine all over.
The good-breakfast was ok. The bad-room was so filthy. So much dirt and crud and other stuff under the bed and along the walls. Cobwebs hung from the ceiling. Room was dingy and just gross. Tiniest bathroom I've ever been in. If you stay, bring your Lysol wipes to clean before you touch anything. Walls and doors are thin and you can hear people all night. Don't stay if you're a light sleeper!
Clean room, no abnormal smells or odors. Hotel is very close to the i-475 expressway, and not too far from downtown Macon. Booked last min, as in the day of lol, but there was no issues. Would consider staying again if I'm in the area.
Very helpful staff. Housekeeping should pay closer attention to room cleaning detail. Bath may visibly dirty with hair on it. Night clerk changed it out. There was some sort of green dust on the head board?? The room had a very pleasant odor which was nice.
Upon arrival we were told we had no reservation. Was treated rudely and told to call whomever we made reservation with - Sure Stay Best Western Direct. Room was supposedly non- smoking but it reeked of smoke. We're told next morning we would be given 25% discount but failed to follow through. After four night - no housekeeping. Nobody said staff look at rooms at 6:00 if your privacy card is up - no housekeeping. If you're in your room when they do come to room, they won't come back at all! Dirty pillowcases, shower was disgusting. Fan never quit and was noisy. Door misaligned - both rooms!
I stayed here 2 weeks ago. Terrible experience. The room stunk. I complained to desk, he said only other room on different floor but tons of kids up there. TV did not work, phone did not work, breakfast tables were dirty and not wiped down. Bathroom falling apart. The stink was awful.
The staff was friendly but the breakfast was not very good. The rooms were very clean but the pool was not and the mattress was very uncomfortable. I reported twice that the microwave did not work and the issue was never addressed.
Bedbug alert! So, so staff. Roach motel. The staff needs to be retrained. The management need to learn hospitality. The furniture need to be checked for roaches and bedbugs. This will prevent what happened to us to ever happen to anyone else.
I stayed at the hotel last week. I checked out thinking I was going home that day. In the early evening I found out I was going to have to stay another night. I checked back in and the clerk asked If I wanted the same room. I told her that was ok. I entered my room and discovered that the sheets on the bed were not changed when I check out in the early morning hours. I must have hit my hand on the nightstand during the night. There was two small drops of blood on the sheets and after checking back into the room, the blood was on the sheets. They did NOT change the sheets when I checked out and the room was cleaned. Makes me wonder if the sheets I was sleeping on was the same sheets someone else had been sleeping on.
The front desk staff was very nice and that was the best part of the stay. The room had not been cleaned properly. Since COVID, I make a habit of disinfecting sheets and surfaces. There was dust on the headboard, the desk and chair had items spilled on them and were spotty and sticky, the sink outside the bathroom had hair, and the commode had clearly not been cleaned(I will leave that to your imagination). We were placed next to a guest who listened to his music, not family material, loud enough for us to hear every obscenity laden syllable. He then proceeded to hold phone calls, same language, same decibel level. This went on and off (mostly on) until easily 2 to 3AM and started again at 7. Thankfully, we were checking out. I did complain to the front desk who I believe asked him to lower the music. I think he dropped it slightly but not enough to allow us a sound sleeping experience. It is a shame because the location is ideal for travelers who want easy access to the expressway. Needless to say; however, that we won't be returning.
Check-in was fast. Staff greeted me upon arrival. Room was above average and clean and fairly quiet as can be expected with cheaper hotels. Several different people hanging out in parking lot most of the night made me a little leery of my vehicle. Also to be excepted when next to several other cheaper hotels. But was overall safe and breakfast choices were more than adequate and tasted well. Overall, I would stay here again.
Avoid this hotel. Not good at any price. Remote broken, room smelled of smoke, halls of marijuana, halls were filthy, hair in shower, drawers were dirty, moldy coffee packets from previous occuoant. Asked for refund for prepaid room, no luck.
Clean comfortable room. Helpful friendly staff. Safe secure property. Close to everything. Easy access to I75. Good value and will definitely stay here again when in the Macon area. Will look for other Sure Stay properties when traveling elsewhere.
The property and rooms definitely needs an update but overall the one night stay was ok. Price was right and very near interstate. No real issues. Our stay was quiet. Has a breakfast bar in the am that is complimentary,
I do not know how this hotel has any favorable reviews. When I arrived, there was an ongoing altercation at the front doors. There were people loitering and smoking weed all over the property. The room was disgusting - when I laid down into bed, I noticed that my feed had tracked hair and dirt from the floor onto the sheets. The property is not maintained and is not a safe or clean place to stay.
When we arrived in the room, it was filthy. The bathroom door was soiled. The sheets and mattress pad were stained and ripped. Surfaces were not cleaned. We asked for a new set of sheets and received a set in the same condition as the first. We slept in our clothes with blankets from our car. The room is listed as "soundproofed". We heard music, arguments, loud vehicles in the parking lot, along with highway noise, all night long. Needless to say a sleepless night in Macon.
I would not recommend guests stay at this hotel. While the location is convenient to the interstate, pay the extra and stay somewhere else. The lighting inside the hallway is poor and the hotel room needed a good cleaning. This left me with a feeling of being unsafe and wanting to purchase cleaning supplies. Other hotel guests at the opposite end of my hallway stayed in the hallway and talked and laughed until 2 am.
Enjoyed the friendly staff and clean room. The bedding was reasonably comfortable for such a great value. The breakfast was good compared to what some budget hotels currently offer. We traveled with a group and found all of the rooms and the hotel great for our circumstances. The rooms seemed recently updated with nice faux wood flooring and modern bathrooms. The lobby and other areas are not fancy, but they are organized and pleasant. What made this stay great was the expertise and friendliness of the staff. Well done!
If we had to stay on the same exit again, we would choose here over the other choices available on this exit. Good water pressure and clean beds, their is room for improvement, but overall for a quick stay it was acceptable.
We spent one night on our way down to FL. Much less than some other hotels and although the room could use a renovation, it was still clean and air was fresh. We didn't feel we had to rush to get out of there. We are Best Western Reward members, so we got a good price. I didn't really like the bottled water we got as a BW reward member - it was okay but not nice spring water.
I have stayed here multiple times and my last visit was by far one of the worse. Things happen here and there but the front desk clerk acted so unprofessional and basically made me question if I should even come back. She could care less about loyalty or frequent guests and her response was “I work at all the owners hotel so I basically can act how I want.” I'm shocked that this is allowed. However, the other two male desk clerks are polite and value the guests. She even gave me a room that needed work done in and she was horrible.
Disgusting. Absolutely dirty. This hotel needs to be shut down for multiple health code violations. So gross my family didn't even want to shower. Transients outside were scary. Felt so insafw we didn't sleep much. There's no way this is a 4 star rated hotel. I'm embarrassed I brought my family here. Don't stay, you'll regret it.
This is a relatively nice hotel. It looked clean except for a stain on the wall. The bed was clean and comfortable. There is a wood laminate floor in the room which is nice. The room seemed a little humid. The a.c. was working fine. TV worked fine.. Nice shower. Decent breakfast. We eat Oatmeal and they have that. Excellent price.
Rooms were clean and modern, Bathrooms must have been recently updated. Bed was comfortable and appliances were sufficiently new. Way too many TV stations available (can you imagine). My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at this Best Wester Sure Stay .
overnight stay the room was very clean room and the bed was comfortable, only thing is the shower floors need grips, as very slippery, the breakfast was good, provided waffles, cereal, yogurt. glad we stopped.
This facility was recommended for a local stay in Macon, GA. Upon approaching the hotel I noticed suspicious activity at the adjacent hotel/motel facility of the drugs/thugs variety. The flooring in the hallway leading to the assigned room was buckling due to water damage and there was a dank odor of moisture permeating the air. The room stank of Pine-Sol used to cover the moisture/mold odor and the AC for the room was anything but efficient or effective. I was mortified to think that someone actually found these appalling accommodations to be acceptable, the creaky springs on bed, the cracked concrete in the ceiling, peeling paint and rotting drapes on the windows. Be advised that I will NEVER stay at another SureStay hotel after this nightmare, to add insult to injury I was overcharged for my 2nd and 3rd nights by over 30% per night! The front desk clerk was indifferent and basically refused to honor the directive issued by a customer service rep I spoke with over the phone, who said the clerk would assist in getting me moved over to a better facility in the area. Due to a torrential rainstorm, I left the next morning at 4am and fled the area, opting to return to civilization.
This was one of the least expensive places we looked at after discounts and it offered several possible discounts. Overall a decent place. It probably has been a bit since it has had a makeover but still not too bad. It was quiet, pretty clean, and offered some items for breakfast. The person at the desk was very friendly, helpful, and still there in the morning. It was a positive experience.
Roon was clean, brakfast was good. Staff was very friendly. Only complaint I have is the noise from other people. Someone out in the hall was very loud late at night and the people upstairs sounded like they were moving furniture!!! Of course that isn't the hotels fault. Would stay again.
Wouldn't stay here again. Run down. Hotel needs a remodel. All rooms need redone. Whole building reeks of old and new cigarette smoke. Smell comes out the vents. Sticks to your clothes. Drunk people loitering around and in the hotel
This is a very clean and affordable hotel, not too far off 75. We got in late, so we got up late and, consequently, missed the continental breakfast that was over at 9. Coffee is available all the time, so that was good. The shower was very nice!
Good staff, clean and very well kept. Meet Ron the man taking care of the dinning area, very nice man he take pride in taking care and the cleanliness of the dinning room, Hotel overall was need, clean and well taken cate of.
Hotel staff was polite and readily corrected errors - changing room. The furniture was well used and had large scratches. Linens appeared clean. Mattress was very firm. Closet was missing handles. A strait pin was on the floor. Food residue was on counter in front of the microwave. This was not what I expected from Best Western. I really wish I had paid extra for one of the other nearby options where I would have been more comfortable.
When we checked into our room, I noticed the bed was extremely firm (which worked out OK) and it sounded like a college dorm room. I spoke to the front desk about getting another room. He refused and promised to talk to the people who he already knew about. All night long we were awakened by people running down the hall, yelling, and slamming doors. You can also hear traffic from the road outside. It would be a great location since their are several stores and restaurants close by.
The hotel was 1/2 way to where I was going. It was clean and quite adequate for a stopover. Look out for the shower. It becomes slippery when wet and soapy. I fell and hit my head on the floor. I stayed there until my head stopped hurting, which was not long. I made a report and asked if I needed to go to ER, which I declined.
The hotel used to be a Sleep Inn and changed branding. I like the location but the cleaning and maintenance team does a horrible job at maintaining the property. This time I had blown out lights and a dirty bathroom that had a mildew/moldy smell. The hotel is reasonably priced but work on the cleaning issue.
Rooms are outdated. Our bed sagged in the middle and the springs in it made enough noise to start a band every time you moved around on it. Screaming kids running down the hall late at night, slamming doors, loud tv's, people's voices echoed down the hallway. Ugh better night sleep in my suv than in this room!!!
First time at this hotel. employees were very nice and helpful. Hotel was clean and quiet. I would use this hotel again. Right off the highway in Macon, Ga. Lots of stores and restaurants near the hotel.
This hotel had several good points. The first is Mike, who was at the front desk. He was extremely attentive and kind. Another good point is that the sink is separate from the toilet and shower area, allowing two people to get ready to take on the day. Also, the room had vinyl flooring, which was so much better than carpet. The breakfast was pretty typical, with pastries, yogurt, fruit, waffles, sausage and eggs. The bad points are that the hotel has very dated furniture, a lot of pieces had scratches and stains. The carpet on the stairs was very dirty and smelly. Our bathroom light had a mind of its own, turning itself off intermittently. And the room door had a large gap at the bottom, which allows hall noises. Overall, this is a good, cheap place to rest for the night but I wouldn't want to spend much time here.
Bowl shaped shower floor. No warnings given. Accident happened because of shower and it wasn't treated as unusual occurrence. Tried to post this multiple times with no success. Checkin staff was friendly. Filled out accident report to record that the person who slipped out of the shower onto floor hit his head, back, elbow. Asked for a copy of report to be sent to my email but they never sent it.
The hotel was along our route from Illinois to Tampa. It was around 1am when we decided to stop for the night. We called around and SureStay had a great rate. I spoke with Ron and he was excellent. Ron got us checked in quickly and was very professional. The room was clean and comfortable. It had a walk-in shower rather than a tub / shower combo which I liked. We'd stay again if in the area.
We needed a quick overnight on our way to North Carolina from central Florida. The room was clean and attractive. I with a microwave and fridge (which we didn't need) it was a good value. We didn't avail ourselves of the grab-and-go breakfast. I will definitely look for SureStay agsin.
We stayed here after a show at the Macon City Auditorium. The neighborhood was safe and quiet. Staff was friendly and courteous. Our room was good. The bed was comfy. The breakfast was about average. They had cereal and pastries as well as waffles and sausage. I would stay here again.
my family and I are on our way to Daytona and we are so glad that we picked this hotel for our half way stop! First off Ron at the front desk went above and beyond for us, anything we needed he was more than happy to get it for us. He truly made The hotel feel like home and it was a nice change from other hotels that just brush you off. The room was clean and very nice and the breakfast was good also! The indoor pool was nice too. We will be staying here on our way home and then again when we head this way in a couple weeks! This is a 10/10 hotel and CAN NOT give more praise I would highly recommend!
A very pleasant one night stay on our way to Florida. Front desk staff were very friendly & helpful, room was bright, clean & comfortable. Enjoyed our breakfast too. The only thing that kept me from rating a 5 overall is that it was noisy in the early morning hours. The walls are thin so you can easily hear doors closing & the 5 am garbage truck was annoying. Otherwise a perfect place to stay.
For the price paid, it was very good value. The room was comfortable and location good. The breakfast was up to usual Best Western standards which gives enough variety to satisfy everyone. Comfortable room.
We stayed here 1 night to avoid driving through ice/snow in North GA. Overall, the hotel was fine. All I really want is a clean place to stay and I would say this is clean. My biggest complaint is the noisiness of the room. You can hear everything outside in the halls or in the surrounding rooms. Everything! No one slept well in our 1 night stay due to the poor insolation. The sheets are poor quality. Stiff, loud and uncomfortable. The hotel was clean. I am a clean freak and I did notice a few things. A bit of mold in the grout of the shower, a few dust bunnies on the laminate floor, but that was about it. The breakfast was better than most hotel breakfasts. They have a waffle maker, which is nice. The eggs and sausage were ok. There were also cereals and muffins/bagels. Our hair dryer was broken and the staff replaced it pretty quickly. They were very nice. I would probably stay here again just due to the cleanliness.
I thought from the photos and name that this was a new property. It is not. It is a remodeled formerly branded Sleep Inn. While the remodel makes things look new, we had a few issues. Upon entering our room an issue immediately arose. I went down to the front desk and the issue was resolved to our approval. Our room was a bit dark and some maintenance was needed but under the circumstances. we agreed to work with the clerk. The breakfast was sufficient with plenty of juice and coffee options, fruit, yogurt, bagels, mini muffins, bread and cereal. There was also scrambled eggs, sausage patties and waffles. They had one waffle maker and there was a line for that since each waffle takes 2 minutes. Adding another waffle maker would help on busy mornings. Also breakfast ended at 9 am and since we were on vacation, that kept us from sleeping in. Maybe they could extend the breakfast 30 minutes to 1 hour to accomodate vacationers.
It does not feel at all like a best western. There was a hole in the wall of the bathroom that was just filed with toilet paper, oh and the bathroom door is just an old sliding door. Room is very outdated and has thin wls
We picked up a flyer about this hotel at the Georgia Welcome Center while travelling South on the I-475 bypass around Macon. It showed a special price. When we called the hotel, we received an even better rate because we were Best Western Club members. It is a small hotel. Nothing fancy, but comfortable rooms - we had two rooms.. A basic breakfast is included. Check-in and out was very easy. Nice people. Lots of food choices and other stores at the exit. We will stay there again on our next trip.
Overall the hotel was not too bad for the price. Breakfast was pretty good and the indoor pool was a nice touch . Beds are full size - but the price is right due to the amenities! Also the staff was friendly
The location of the hotel was perfect for what I needed. The room was clean spacious. The staff was terrific, excellent breakfast. Plenty of parking. Close to to good restaurant and in a quite neighborhood.
Customer service was great. Very friendly people. They were very accommodating. The room was very enjoyable and clean, including the bed. The Hot breakfast was surprisingly amazing. Breakfast area extremely clean. The wireless internet was super fast. I would definitely stay here again.
Ron was very helpful when my tv would not work. After failing to fix the problem, he moved me to another room immediately and gave me $10 for my trouble. Also told me about a very good local Mexican restaurant.
I was on a trip to Florida. If I stay here in the future I will ask for a room with windows not facing the interstate. Road noise made it hard for me to fall asleep. The room was clean and comfortable. There is a great Mexican restaurant within walking distance.
Upon arrival you can see the hotel has been remodeled and with an amazing customer service from Ron at the front desk all your needs get taken care off. There is ample parking, its a very safe and secure area of town. Great if you are passing by and want to make sure your vehicle is not broken into. The area of the parking is very bright and lighted up with cameras everywhere. The breakfast area is very clean and you have fresh pastries and you can make your own waffles!!! The staff is very friendly and caring! The floors are all wood so no bad smells! The rooms are renovate and very clean! Will definitely use it again on the future
This is the cleanest, most affordable hotel I've been in. I recommend it to everyone who doesn't want to spend a huge amount of money for a nice stay.very friendly staff, quiet hotel and eco friendly. I love this place!
Excellent Location. Clean and Very friendly staff. Such a charming Hotel in the heart of the Macon, close to everything! The hotel staff was so welcoming and polite, will definitely stay there again. Also the breakfast was very good.
Clean and Comfortable. Excellent location, close to shopping and dinning Area. Room was spotless and the staff was very attentive. I recommend this hotel when anyone visits Macon. Will stay in this property again.
We stayed here because it was a good location and price. The brand we usually stay at is also at this exit, but was twice the price!! We were only going to be here for about 9 hours(to sleep) so we took a chance on this hotel! Mike checked us in and was pleasant. Ron, breakfast/front desk was friendly and super helpful. Breakfast was ok, with several choices. What an asset good staff is!! Room was simple, but very clean. Free water was a nice surprise. The only negative wasn't the fault of the hotel. There were inconsiderate guests(extremely noisy around midnight). We would stay here again if needed a stop in Macon. (We usually stop closer to Atlanta. )
I teach management and customer service and can address my experience from that perspective. The person at the front desk "Ron" was attentive and conversational. He demonstrated a sincere interest in what I was saying and went above and beyond to make suggestions that would enhance my stay.. As I was going to be teaching in the area for 25 weeks, once each week, I was seeking a place to go and work from before the long drive back to home. Ron made several suggestions and showed me a possible room that would meet my needs. Unfortunately a representative of hotel management stated a few days later that they do not make adjustments to price for extended stays. So, I will keep searching. Ron was also most helpful in resolving a question/problem I had regarding my rewards program account. For a short stay in the Macon, GA area they get my vote! I had tried other budget hotels/motels in my quest for a place long-term and only Sure Stay measured up so far. The room was comfortable, the furniture was not marred or over used and there was the appearance of the room being clean and well maintained. There were only two drawbacks - no matter how long I ran the water in the shower it never got hot, only warm. An inconvenience not a real deal killer.. When people near my room ran water it could be heard, and I am hearing impaired. That could be an annoyance to some. Yet, as stated by comparison to similar hotels in the area they seemed a better value.
Hotel was great, easy on off from I-75, it was quite, clean, good bed, nice room decor, internet was very good, and the breakfast was excellent. The price was good and we will stay here again when it fits into our travel plans. Would recommend this hotel!
My wife and I were on the way to North Georgia and stopped at this hotel. It was easy to find. It was clean. The staff was nice. The rooms were clean. The breakfast was good. We enjoyed our stay over here and would stay again.
We were looking for a comfortable and convenient stopover on the way back north on I-75. This SureStay hotel certainly fit the bill. It is very convenient off the I-475 bypass around Macon and a comfortable stay. The bed was firm enough for a good night's sleep and the room was clean. The breakfast was adequate for most guests but not much for a vegetarian. Overall reasonably priced and a good value.
Very clean and good value. Beds and pillows could be a little more comfortable. Great location near large shops and many restaurants. Hardwood floors or laminate makes it feel very clean. Good value for the price.
We stayed here twice in a week as an overnight, down and back to/from Florida. Each visit had good and bad. The first stop had a great breakfast experience but the fridge did not work. The second stop had a horrible breakfast with many items missing and were "on the truck" instead of on the buffet but the fridge was ice cold. Common issues were a very firm bed, small towels and tiny pillow. Overall, execution was mixed going from 3 to 7 out of 10 so you could be happy or angry depending on the hotel execution.
My family and I stopped in for a night on our way to Ft. Lauderdale for our cruise. The rate was good. They were in the process of renovating. The staff were friendly. Our room was mid renovation. The bed was horrible. No door knob on the bathroom. Weird smell!
Stayed the night here on our way to Florida. If you're looking for a hotel with basics, this is for you. Clean room, comfortable bed, had a shower, and a free breakfast the next morning. What more do you need for $60 a night? Staff was great, recommended a Mexican restaurant that had amazing food! No frills hotel, just what we were looking for.
I felt comfortable and safe in this hotel; it looks like a newer property. The staff friendly. The room spacious, clean and with the features that are standard these days. There is a "complimentary" breakfast, Wifi and all the TV channels I can stand. All this for a big price I thought ($164). I was told this is standard pricing for this time of the year; spring breakers and Cherry Blossom Festival time. I would stay again if the conditions were the same; few hotels to choose from.
We have been staying here about 18 nights a year for 13 years while visiting family. All stays were excellent and a good value until the owner spread himself too thin by acquiring 4 new hotels and two gas stations, in addition to this one. Maintenance issues increased dramatically. Problems in the four nights we last stayed: Both room keys re-keyed a total of 12 times including 4 times the re-keyed key would not work and we had to return to the desk a second time, this was the final straw leading to our decision to longer stay here. Owner's wife informed early on but the problem persisted. Room not made up last night of stay. Front desk clerk said we were the second unmade room so far on his shift; desk lamp and hair dryer not working, later were fixed; closet door knob hanging off door held on by a screw not repaired.
