Hotel Sun Sun, situated on Ponte e Horta, offers a unique place where you can relax yourself and fully enjoy leisure time in the lively city'Macau. It is ideal for extended business stays and family trips. Hotel Sun Sun locates at the vibrant old district where Portuguese first set foot at Macau 450 years ago. You will be surrounded by lots of Chinese and Western culture relic which make you feel like you are personally on the scene. A famous American film, Raiders of the Lost Ark, hits the big screen on 1981. It takes many important shots in this area and the most wonderful part, which becomes a classic of thriller, is how the main character escapes from capture in Hotel Sun Sun. The old stresses nearby, such as Rua Cincode Outubro and Rua da Felicidade have a great many specialty shops and is swarmed with tourists and local residents. Within 5 to 15 minutes of walking distance, guests of the hotel will find the ruins of St Paul's, Senado Square, A-ma Temple and many other attractions in Macau. Macau ferry terminal and Chinese border gate at Zhuhai is only 8 minutes away, and the Macau International Airport is a 20-minute drive. Well equipped with a restaurant and a bar, Hotel Sun Sun has 176 dedicated guest rooms over 15 floors, including Deluxe Suite. Staffs in the hotel are friendly and considerate right down to the most trivial detail. Enjoy your stay!

« Bus 26 from Airport - Rua das Lorchas »

To see is to believe. Walking distance to St. Paul Ruins. Very helpful Filipino security and waitress. Hope to be back with the family. Check my pics. Reasonable price. Macau Tower view from the window.

« Very clean and comfortable room with a very good location »

2nd visit to Macau, this Hotel prices consider cheap compare to it environment, worth staying and the room its spacious and comfortable. The location of the hotel is very convenient. Highly recommend if you are going to Macau.

« Good location, comfortable room and good price in Macau »

We liked the comfort of the bedroom and the location of the facilities, next to Ruínas de São Paulo and to bus stations that could take us almost everywhere on Macau (including Taipa). We really didn't like the staff. They spoke perfect English but they weren't that helpful or even nice.We are used to the empathy of a hostel staff and they had nothing to do with it..

« Like the room, its so comfy! But... »

Like the room. Its spacious and comfortable. It is currently under renovation. It was noisy when we checked in. Not a problem if you spend most time outside exploring the city. But check out time at 11am was kind of early? Location wise, its not easy to locate for first timer, considering the many small alleys around the old town. The hotel should consider providing its own shuttle bus to pick up its customers from the ferry terminals and airport. It will definitely improve our experience. Anyway, the hotel provide a handy phone after checked in. Helped us to walk around to Senado Square and the ruins of St Paul's with ease. Staff were proficient in English, but were rather unfriendly. They answer your questions, but do not expect it with a smile.

« Need to Improve the service »

We came around 11 am to the hotel but the receptions said that cannot do early check in and have to wait till 1400 so the reception only asked my reservation information. The security gave me a paper with numbers for queuing on check in so we decided to kept the luggage and went for lunch. When we back at 1400 several people have there for check in. I've booked 2 rooms and one room with an extra bed for a month before but at the time i checked in, he said that the room with extra bed has not yet ready and will be ready at 1600. I was complaint because in the morning the reception has known my reservation and it should be ready at the time we were checking in. In the room they only serve one water bottle which should be two bottles and have to call to remind of this. In the room with the extra bed only served two towels and i have to call again to get one more towel. Great i only stay here for one nite.

« Doing more with less cost »

Our stay at Best Western Hotel Sun Sun added worthwhile memories to our short vacation (2days). Because of its strategic location, we were able to see most of the historical sites considering that we have 2 senior citizens in our group. The rooms are clean and staff are nice. But what Ilike most is that they provide each room with a cellphone with internet which you can use going around to help you find your way.

    « Anna »

Nice and clean hotel, we only spent one night there - room for 3 and its hv complete toiletries . In front of the hotel there's park that elder people used to have an excercise in the morning and afternoon. Easy to find buses or taxi and get around.

« big room for 3p, nice location, modern, a bit stinky carpet »

around this area, many other hotels look old and the price is high. This one is better (I got around $70/night), it looks modern. Nice room and bathroom, although the carpet floor seems a bit stinky (too moist). I book double bed and used it for 3 people. Walk a bit uphigh, we can find senado square, just ask the receptionist for the directions. I go here using taxi. The cheapest way is by using free shuttle to Sofitel from airport and walk 500m to Best Western. I use free shuttle to Macau-China border as I travel to Guangzhou after.

« way beyond my expectation »

I was here for a quick getaway before I head to Hong Kong. I arrived late night and the front office (though didn't speak english well) was very accomodationg and welcoming. I got myself a great room with a nice view at night, room was clean and smelled super nice. I also like the bathroom, completed with ameneties and replenished everyday. The room is perfect, flatscreen tv, mini fridge, aircon is working well and bottled waters are replenished everyday too! :) I stayed here for 3 nights and I always went back at the hotel with my room already cleaned and perfect. they also have a handy phone which you can use for internet, local calls, and navigation (it's really a big help to me since I walk most of the time). location wise, its walking distance to senado square, ruins of st paul, a-ma temple, and if you still have the energy, you can also walk up to Macau Tower too! ;) In terms of price, this hotel gave me more than my money's worth. wifi, being a basic human needs nowadays, also didn't fail me. fast internet connection it is! Since I am a filipino and doesn't speak cantonese their filipino staffs that are very accomodating and helpful about my questions like where should I go? where should I eat? etc etc. especially the housekeeping staff named Rona. Definitely, I would stay here again if I go back to Macau, and will recommend this hotel to friends too. I was happy and satisfied for my whole stay.

    « Good location »

It is a non-smoking hotel. Clean and big beds but room is not very big. Offers free 'Keurig' like coffee, other drinks and water. It is 15 min walk to ruins of St.Paul and Senago Square. Food and famous food products are easily accessible. 20 min walk to Casinos and 10 min walk to downtown. The staff at the reception speaks good English and are very helpful. The coolest thing is that there is a local smart phone for you to use . Attractions, restaurants, etc are all ready in the phone. You can call your friend staying in another room with this phone for free so you dont need to buy a local SIM card.

    « Clean and Comfortable »

The Hotel is fairly Centrally located in the old town and hence plenty of places to explore around it by foot. The staff are friendly and helpful. It was difficult to flag down taxis during peak hours and the hotel staff offered to assist us which was very much appreciated. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Would definitely be one of the hotels we consider if ever we head back to Macau.

    « Beyond expectation »

Good location. Room is spacious. Bed is super comfy. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Plus point is the hotel provides us a mobile phone with free usage of data and calls. It's very convenient since you can bring it when you go out. Highly recommended to stay in this hotel if your budget is not very high.

    « ????????????? »

???????????????????? ??????????????????????????????????????????????????????10???????????? ????????????????????????????????? ?????????????????????????????????????????????????????? We stayed only 1night...Very comfortable, very nice location, clean room, nice view from the roow! There are every things what we need. Some staffs can speak Japanese and English. If you come from ferry landing, you can get by free shuttle bus to Sofitel hotel. Sofitel hotel is 3minutes walk from this hotel. I wanna stay more...I'll be back soon!!

    « Comfortable and cozy »

Got free upgrade to premium room upon check in! Cozy bedroom is clean and big. As a budget hotel this is on top of my expectation. They provide wifi, and handy devices for room guest. The design of the room is superb. Main point is clean and comfortable bed. I will definitely pick this hotel again for my next trip.

« Sun Sun Hotel near Sanado sqauare »

Hotel near Senado square, can walk to many interesting place such as Senado square or Ama temple and have 7 eleven shop near hotel. reservation was good and very help if you need map or some direction to some place to go.

« Staying here is the right choice, trust me ;) »

Well, I got a great deal through AGODA so what the heck! That was my first thought getting into the hotel. But turned out everything was going cool and beyond my expectation. Eventhough, I was a bit stupid trying to get there by a free caniso bus and I ended up in a cab costing you more, LOL!!! It was sad and fun at the same time, if you know what I mean haa haaaaa. Anyway, let's focus on the hotel and service - shall we? Location: Good, walkable distance to many major tourist places, bus stop to the Airport is just right on the road, same as 7 Eleven (so no need to worry about getting food, drinks & snacks) Service: Excellent, staff are very helpful and friendly Room: Nice, right size (not too small quite large), bed is comfy, clean sheets & pillows are soft, hot-cold shower and toilet amenities are fine, small fridge and kettle are provided, TV sucks though only 1 English Channel (and I was like, seriously??? but no biggie lol) Restaurant: Fine, lovely decorations located on the 2nd floor, food & drink are ok with reasonable price too! I would definitely stay here again when I go back to Macau, yep - you can trust me ;) Hope to go back there again real soon XOXO

« First Stay at Best Western Hotel »

The overall stay was pleasant. Comfy room and bed. Location is good enough as this hotel near to many attractions like Senado Square, Ruins of St.Paul, etc. The foggy weather is the only cons of this trip. Will miss the local foods at Macau!

« nice and good location »

i stayed here for 1 night only. The location is quite good, although it is not in the center, but there are bus stop nearby. There is a park near the hotel which makes the atmosphere is good. It is close to Senado Square. Hotel in Macau is kinda pricey, if you look for something cheaper with good quality, this can be your choice.

    « Nice hotel »

Me and my husband been there just for a night. Nice location, bus and taxi are easily available near the hotel. Few tourists places are walking distance from the hotel which is great. Hotel room was nice specious with all kind of necessary amenities. Specially I like the couch in the room .

« Clean Room , Decent Staff , Conveniently Located »

Location : convenient Room : Clean Staff : Helpful Value for Money : full When we checked in at the hotel , the front desk were unable to find our reservation and it took a long time for them to arrange everything and hand us the room key . They need a deposit which should be in $ or Pataca , but was not willing to accept Qatari Riyal . Finally after explaining to them the value of money , which was way over the required deposit , they agreed to keep the Riyal . Fresh apples were nice as well as the information rack . The room was huge and had an exciting tech specs added to it . special Keruiger coffee was a plus and extra water bottles were a plus . Overall a nice place to stay a night .

« It doesn't have "best" in its name for nothing »

Stayed 3days and 2 nights in June 2016, and this hotel made the trip the well-deserved break that it was supposed to be. The location is just perfect! Around 10 minute walk to Senado square, traversing up and downhill narrow alleys showing the real old Macau beyond the lights and dazzle of casinos. Bus stop is right in front, with a 7-11 right beside the bus stop, and a 24-hour real grocery one alley away from the hotel. Room was at the 5th floor, and had roof tops for views. Front desk didnt grant request for a room at a higher floor, and also didnt allow for early check in. These were real bummers but location still made up for them. I was told higher floors have a great view of the river across the hotel. Room was quite minuscule but bed was comfy though pillows were pliant. Tip: take bus 26 from airport, and it will drop you off right in front of hotel. Going back, take same bus 26 going towards Coloane, and it will drop you off right at the airport. Hotel staff said though that wait for bus 26 can be long because it is the only service which goes to the airport from the hotel area so take any of the buses to the ferry terminal or border gate then from there, take the free shuttle bus to the City of Dreams then transfer to the latter's free shuttle bus to the airport. You can get almost anywhere to macau for free with combination of walking and lots of free casino shuttle buses. If you crave for real good Chinese chow, the resto beside the 7-11 serves good food with pictures for those who can't read or speak Chinese.

    « Ridiculously overpriced restaurant »

Breakfast at this hotel consisted of two fried eggs one 1/2 slices toast and 2 spoonfuls of cold beans for $85mop not be back to restaurant. Hotel is clean staff friendly but small rooms and excessively overpriced. Would not recommend staying here unless your bringing own food haha. I would not stay here again.

« Better than expectations for 3 stars hotel »

I booked for a 3days 2 nights stay (4/7 - 6/7) at Best Western. Once step into the hotel, I received warm welcome from the staff, Aris at lobby and was offered welcome drink while waiting for my turn to check in. The front desk receptionist greeted us with warm smile and was being quick in check in process. We reached our room and was really surprised for the cozy bed and well-equipped amenities. Surprisingly, the minibar is free! I was able to completely relax after tiring walk whole day. This is really a wonderful and comfy stay. Thank you , Best Western Sun Sun Hotel.

    « More fun @ Sun Sun »

We, (my 2 colleauges - Mildred and Jeffrey) arrived at Best Western Hotel Sun Sun in Macau on June 1, 2016 at around 5:45 in the afternoon. Previous to arrival, I made an advance online hotel booking via It was an awesome and amazing experience to know that hotel staff are very accommodating ( specially the Filipino attendants in the hotel). We had a great view of the Macau Ferry Terminal over looking the window. Rooms are cozy, spacious and mattresses and beddings are clean. Although breakfast served is not a buffet type, its good enough specially for those who are on a diet. American breakfast is served. Food combination is well picked. U can have a coffee all you want. The location is superb especially for those who are tourister and preferred to be extrovert at all times. Very near in the tourist destination such as cathedral of saint paul ruins and senado square. Highly recommended hotel to stay in. Price is very reasonable. I gave it 5 stars

    « Bad staff performance »

Stayed at room 601. Clean and tidy just for the bathroom gutter is a bit clogged so I have to use little of water when taking a bath to avoid flood. One of the chinese man staff with curly hair is very rude when answering questions. Location near Senado Square just 380 meters. Bus station is very close just 120 meters.

    « Extremely negative experience »

Booked this hotel for 5D/4N to have an indepth tour of macau. For the rate we paid, whatever should be provided was provided which means okish location, clean room and minimally basic services. Upon returning from our tour at the end of day 3, my travel companion started feeling unwell with a 38.4 degrees Celsius fever. We started on our own fever medicine, cancelled our plan for D4 and rested in the room. After 3 consecutive doses of medicine, the fever did not subside instead went up to 39.4 degrees Celsius. The hotel helped us call a taxi to send us to Centro Hospitalar Conde de Sao Januario dos Servicos de Saude. After hours of waiting for consultation and more waiting for a taxi to bring us back to the hotel, we went to a nearby pharmacy as advised by the hotel and learned that the prescribed medicine could not be dispensed there. At this point, I want to highlight to all travellers to macau that this hospital does not dispense medicine and has no taxi stand. The staff at the pharmacy which is next to a 7 eleven was only willing to scribble two Chinese characters on the back of the prescription and told me to buy the medicine from Senado sq. It was 7.30pm by then, I was not familiar with the area of similar looking rows of shops, my sick travel companion was very weak and tired. I requested the hotel to let a staff walk me to the right place so that we could start on the medicine as soon as possible. Our flight was on D5 and should the fever be not brought down, we might not be allowed to board the plane. This was when I experience their "service" first hand. The two Chinese male and one Chinese female staff negotiated among themselves in Cantonese which I understand but can't speak fluently. They negotiated on 1. Whether or not they should recall a coworker on dinner break to return to the hotel to help me 2. Whether that colleague would be wiling to use personal time to help a guest 3. Is it against the hotel's policy to bring guest out. 4. Who should be the unlucky one to go with me. Knowing that I would only be sent from shop to shop given the unkind, unhelpful and unfriendly Macanese that I had met in the trip and the fact that I would probably lose the way, I practically begged them for help. After many minutes, the female staff reluctantly yanked off her blazer and went with me since she was the one who told me I could buy the medicine from the nearby pharmacy. Granted it was beyond her call of duty and on the way back, she actually brought me to buy porridge and stock up on beverages, we would never want to visit this unfriendly place and in particular stay at this unfriendly hotel ever again.

    « Regular Affordable Hotel »

This hotel just fit the amount of money we paid for our stay. Nothing special (except for the Filipino staff), nothing that's so negative too: The Good: 1. The hotel's location is both a bad and good deal for me. Good in the sense that it's located at the old Macau part. It has 7-11, a little park, a cafe nearby. And the Senado Square is just walking distance. But it's a little bit far from the Casinos and bars and from the airport. 2. Room- again, not much expectation since it's not a high end hotel. But it's pretty clean and comfortable. It felt suffocating sometimes though, maybe because of the interior. The bed size, on the other hand, is a bit bigger than single size ( i'm not just sure if it's double). Bed and pillows were comfortable, and so was the duvet. Also, it was cleaned everyday. 3. Amenities- there was the usual compli water, coffee and tea. Basic bathroom amenities too. There was a hair blower. No clothes iron. 4. Bath tub- well i didn't expect this so it was pretty cool. 5. Breakfast- limited options but they offered american breakfast aside from chinese meals. The servings were quite small though. Coffee is bottomless. 5. Staff- this one i want to highlight. The Filipino staff were really helpful and accommodating to us. I'm not sure if it's because we are Filipinos too but they really took care of us, especially the ones who served breakfast. The not-so-good: 1. Wifi- it's good that they have one but it's really weak. And for a place like Macau, it's unexpected since all throughout, most have better wifi connections. 2. TV- the hotel has one but it's mostly in Cantonese. 3. The View- when i opened my window, what i saw were the clothes hanging by the window of the apartment across. It kinda felt like we were in a squatter area. 4. No gym nor pool- just reiterating haha Overall it was an ok stay. Just right for what we paid. Will i stay there next time? i don't know but most probably i'll check the ones near the city center first.

« Stay At Your Own Risk »

Pros: 1. The hotel is located in a quieter part of Macau. Across the small park, there is a 7-eleven convenience store (1min). The hotel is also within walking distance from Senado Square (10min). 2. The room I got was clean. When I used alcohol wipes for usually overlooked items like the TV remote control and window ledge, little / no dirt showed up. I also did not encounter any insects. 3. The hotel has its own restaurant serving breakfast and meals. We tried the Portugese duck rice upon the restaurant staff's recommendation. The claypot rice contained shredded duck meat, ham, Portugese sausages (similar to Chinese sausages) and olives. The MOP138 meal for 2 people proved to be satisfying. Cons: 1. The rooms are not soundproof. I was kept awake listening to talking voices / running water from other guests. To be fair, this might depend on each individual's sensitivity to noise, as my travel partner was able to sleep through the noise. 2. The staff's English was mediocre. 3. The counter staff often gave wrong information. They gave us wrong directions to St. Augustine's Square and the Taipar museums, which I found very strange since they ought to be used to receiving questions from guests about how to get to the main attractions in Macau. They also seemed to be in a rush to dismiss our questions with a quick affirmative when they were actually unsure. For instance, they said the taxis could issue receipts when the taxis couldn't; they said we could buy medicine from the pharmacy across the park when the pharmacy was illegal and could not issue medicine; they said the airport had a clinic but later said they were not sure. The issue is that they did not bother to find out properly, instead opting to wave us away. 4. The counter staff were not only unhelpful but also rude. I saw them rolling their eyes to show their annoyance at other customers. They also called us ?? ("troublesome" in Cantonese). This was shocking as I was simply trying to seek assistance to visit a clinic and pharmacy for my persistent high fever. Overall, it is a gamble to stay in this hotel. The location and cleanliness of the hotel are fine, and if nothing unexpected occurs, it should be an acceptable stay. However, in the event that you encounter problems as I did, don't expect anything from their customer service. I was left helpless when I was struggling with high fever and a language barrier. After the multiple encounters with unhelpful people in Macau, I don't intend to revisit Macau again.

    « Very good Service »

Hotel location is not bad. about 10 min walk to the Senado Square. service wise of the hotel is good. not bad english as well. also nearby restaurants are available. money exchange is also available. banks is right in front of the hotel. Rooms is not so big. but good enough for 2 pax. well lighted. and clean.

    « Very good Value »

This is a very good hotel .... Feels better than the two star rating. Location convenient for the usual sight-seeing activities. Staff were very friendly and helpful: the breakfast set up a bit "different", but very acceptable - for westerners! Very good value for money.

« Clean, Tidy with Sea View »

After I checked in the hotel at 2:00pm and went to my room, I found that the room had not been cleaned yet. I called the front desk, and the staff came up and quickly changed another room for me. I was surprised that they would give me a room not having cleaned, but I was glad that they fixed the problem quickly. The room is spacious, but the king-sized bed is too large, making the room smaller. But it's clean and tidy with a sea view. I like that the hotel is a non-smoking hotel, which is good for me as a non-smoker. It will be even better if the windows in the room can be opened to let fresh air to come in.

« On the quite side of Macau, but near Senado Square »

Coming from the Terminal Ferry (we asked the Tourist Info Center), one can get a bus that has a last stop at the opposite side of the road where the hotel is. One has to cross the road and walk about 300 meters to the park, where it is located. The hotel is within walking distance of Senado Square and in the quite side of Macau. It is good place to stay if you want peace since it has no casino. It is quite an old hotel thus the room is spacious, and its double bed is king size and three persons can fit in. AC is good. Bathroom has bath tub. Wifi is excellent even in the room. Staff are friendly specially the Filipinos. Will definitely come here again.

« Nice and cozy hotel in Macau »

We stayed in level 6 and the room was clean and spacious. Bed was very comfortable and WiFi is pretty good. Good location as well with walking distances to Senado Square (10 min) and Ruins of St. Paul. There is a 7-11 store nearby and a bus stop where buses running to and from the maritime ferry terminal (bus routes 3 and 10A) stops here. A small park is located right in front of the hotel entrance. Staff was very friendly. I would stay here again if I'm visiting Macau again.

« Very Nice and Peaceful »

It's not that near to those famous historical places (let alone the casino area), however I wouldn't trade this nice hotel for anything. The hotel is very well located, near to several bus stops that bounds to Venetian, historical areas, and ferry terminal. In front of the hotel, there is a tiny square with fountain where people come to relax. There is also convenient store in 200 m. Room is pretty clean, fresh and reasonably compact. Staffs are nice (although some of them can improve their friendliness), public toilet is clean, and the feeling is just nice. I would definitely stay here again. If you are traveling by taxi and you don't speak their language, better tell them to bring you to SunSun Hotel (??) instead of Best Western.

« Good hotel to stay in Macau »

Good location where it is just a 10 minute walk to Senado square. The hotel room looked good and was clean. It has a park in front where you can relax. Bed was very comfortable. The hotel deposit of 500MOP is payable by either cash or credit card.

« Nice and Accessible Place »

Pros 1. Friendly staffs like Marichu (level 1 restaurant) who taught us how to go to certain places and the Filipino housekeeping guy at level 9. 2. Room service is fast. 3. Room is big and clean. 4. Hotel is a walking distance to Senado Square. 5. Near bus stop (in front of 7-11) going to Macau tower and Venetian Macau (take MT4 bus). 6. American breakfast is nice but it would be better if you have more selections like rice meals. Cons 1. Basin pop up drain must press for it to go up. 2. Some power outlets are not working. 3. No bidet. Will definitely stay here again. ????

« "Best place to stay in Macau" »

Walking distance to Senado Square, some churches and the Ruins of Saint Paul. Bus stop infront 7-11 is also near the place. A 24 hour grocery is just 2 blocks away. We occupied a room in the 15th floor so we had a great view of the Ruins of St Paul and the harbor. Staff are very respectful and are approachable( specially the Filipinos). Served best breakfast. Coffee, tea is available inside the room. Canned softdrinks and juice, bottled water is in a small ref. Room is clean. Wi- fi is available.

    « Very satisfied indeed! »

Stayed from 14 to 16 Apr 2016. Flight was delayed into evening so I called the hotel reception and the staff confirmed room secured. Booked through Expedia. The staff were all friendly and helpful and majority able to converse in English. The hotel deposit of 500MOP is payable by either cash or credit card. The Cozy Comfort Double Bed room quite spacious and standard toiletries plus coffee tea mineral water were provided. My room had a great view of both the harbor as well as all way to Ruins of St. Paul. Wifi in the room is so-so. Sometimes you could hear noises from the corridor outside your room when guests are loud. During my stay there was a constant light buzzing sound that I just assumed coming from the nearby harbor - did not check or ask since it did not bug me much. Location is easily accessible by Bus 26 to and from Macau Intl Airport - stops in front of 7-Eleven. Airport taxi to the hotel cost 117MOP. The hotel is also within walking distance to all tourist attraction spots. I walked both during early morning and late at night and safety/security was not a problem. Alternatively you can take the many buses plying the roads. Overall for the price I have paid, this hotel exceeded my expectation.

    « Great stay »

Overall we had a great stay at the Best Western Sun Sun. The hotel room looked good and was clean. The reception and concierge were outstanding with their services and assistance. Would I stay at this hotel again? Yes!

    « Great Stay »

Stayed at this hotel from 16/4/16 to 18/4/16 with my hubby. It was abit too small yet cozy. Bed was very comfortable & we fell asleep easily. The bathroom or towel was clean too (as a cleanliness freak, I found it acceptable). The hotel was approximately 10min walk away from Senado, nothing fantastic about the hotel's surroundings. We found it quite far off from the ferry terminal though as there would be jams along the way. However the hotel was just beside the main road, it's convenient to travel by public buses. The staff there were friendly & approachable. If I were to go Macau again, I won't mind staying at Sun Sun again!

    « Good hotel! »

Good location where it is just a 10 minute walk to Senado square. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel by the main road which will take you to the other side of Macau like Cotai etc. The room size is just right for us. The room is clean, the king size bed is comfortable and the sleep quality is great! The services provided by the staff is good but i noticed they don't like to smile.

    « Central & Convenient Location ! »

Stayed at the Hotel Sun Sun in March 2016....Location wise the place is amazing - walking distance to St. Pauls and other sightseeing points in Old macau. Close to local restaurants with good chinese food, bakery items and i even managed to find an Antique store for some nice gifts :-) The double room was amongst the smallest and most cramped i have ever stayed in (even compared to Europe) as there was not even a cupboard to store stuff - the bathroom space and layout kind of made up for this. If the rate is the same opt for the twin beds as the rooms are bigger . I got a room overlooking the park so this was really nice. The free water in the tiny fridge and kettle to make coffee was a real boon as i could not find a coffee shop nearby (except for whats in the hotel) and Sun Sun did not have buffet breakfast option when i went. The staff were really really helpful and could easily converse in English I was travelling with my 15 month baby so found the location amazing - in front of the hotel was a small park where my baby could play. Close by was a 7-11 store to buy snacks, milk, cold drinks etc etc the bus stop for most of the other sightseeing spots was in front of the 7-11.If you wanted to visit Venetian and other casinos -you would need to take the local bus to one of the other hotels and from there take a shuttle. All in all the place suited my requirement .

    « Basic yet affordable »

We stayed here on our list to Macau and we picked it based on it's location as it was not near any of the casinos. The hotel is part of the old town and based on the history of Macau it's definitely a nice part of town to stay. I booked the room on line however when we checked in they were putting us in a rm with two single beds which is not what i booked. They told me they had no other rooms and that was it however i was not impressed and after a few minutes of telling them i wanted what i paid for the manager eventually came over and sorted things out and put us in a room with a queen bed. The room was basic yet comfortable and clean.

    « Good customer service »

It was a very pleasant stay we had. Our rooms comes wz a coffee machine and minibar which housekeeping will replenish everyday. Strong wifi. Clean and comfortable room. Thanks to courtesy of front desk( niki), she is doing extra mile by assigned a room for our parents to rest when we told her our parents has not rest since the night before due to early flight, and we arrived hotel early before 12 pm. Thanks to concierge( Edward) for welcoming and greet us with his warm smile every time when we back to hotel after a long exhausted day. Thanks to reservation (sherry) for replying email promptly and extending the old rate to us though the rate was quoted wrongly due to system error.

« Simple and comfortable hotel »

Upon arrival, I noticed that taxi drivers are familiar with the hotel. It was situated a little far from the big hotels and casinos but near the other tourist spots. Good thing that attendants are very good in speaking in English that they can easily communicate. It has a park in front where you can relax. Room was really nice. I am very particular with bathrooms and this one was really clean and has a modern design. The beds were very comfortable. Very worth the price paid.

    « average »

The room is average as well as the location. It is very near to St. Paul Ruins but it is not so convenient if you want to go to different casino's. In fairness, the breakfast served was really good and included to the package.

    « Small but cosy »

We stayed here for two nights. You can get there by taking the bus to praca ponte horta for 3.2 MOP/HKD(bus 3A) from the ferry terminal. Please be aware that there are two 3A bus lines, you need the one going to ponte horta (you can see this on the front of the bus). The wifi is free and ok, but not great. The room is small but clean and cosy. The bathroom is clean, provides toiletries and the shower is hot and well pressured. The double bed is comfortable but a bit small for Europeans. The room had one sided glass which can made it a bit noisy from the traffic. Airconditioning worked great. We had a great view from our room and could see the fort, ruins and port and city (11th floor). Near the hotel you find a 24/7 sunsco supermarket, 7/11 shops and you can walk to the largo do sonado, ruins and the rest of the old city center. You can pay with HKD in Macau everywhere, and can get change in both MOP and HKD. Be aware that use of credtcards is not widely accepted except for in hotels or more expensive restaurants.

    « A really good hotel! »

The hotel is very clean and modern. The hotel employees were very friendly and will help you with your itinerary if you ask. The room itself was very nice. It is also near some of the tourists spots in Macau.

    « Downtown »

Very comfortable location, it is in the old city, you can walk to all the attractions even to some of the casinos. Rooms are clean and comfortable, staff is nice and some of them even speak English and that is rare in Macau. Breakfast is a little boring, one have only little choice, but it is not bad either. If you are coming for gambling, stay at Cotai, if you wanna see the old city, that is the place. Free wifi was very good.

    « Nice local area hotel ! »

No real Thrills but comfortable and cheap for a quick 2 night stay. Very handy to be at the end of the 3A Local Bus route from the main Ferry Terminal, approx. 15/20 mins depending on traffic.........Hotel sits 2 mins across street from Bus stop overlooking a small square. Given a twin room on check in as all the doubles had gone but no problem, room partly overlooked the small square and local harbour. Western style restaurant with nice Pizzas 1 min away and just a couple of mins walk to small 7-11 store. American Breakfast MOP $78 , average quality, strange small pot of condensed milk for your coffee. I would stay here again.

« One if the best hotel in Macao »

My family came here to Macao and first of all this is one of the best hotels in quality-price relation. The rooms are quite new, really comfortable beds and your own coffee machine in the dorm. Everything was so clean and the receptionist was really helpful. The hotel is in a really good location with a bus stop near to it and you can explore all Macao just by walk. Thank you so much!

    « okay »

what i liked most here was the location. The service and food was average. didnt get to choose much from the food options. getting a conveyance was easy from there.Internet was complimentary. overall it was okay.

« Nice location at reasonable price »

Sun Sun is located right in the midst of many famous eateries of Macau. It is also within walking distance to many tourist spot like St. Paul's ruin & Senator Square. Newly renovated, clean & spacious.

    « Recommended »

Staff speaks good English. Good service - Staff came out to our taxi and helped with luggages. Bathroom clean and well lit. Cozy king bed. Walking distance to attractions, convenience store and restaurants. Will stay here again if I'm in Macau in future.

    « Old town »

Pleasant hotel in old town location. Ten minutes walk to sentada square. Check in confusing. No doubles although eventually ended up with one. Rooms not large but OK. Mini fridge very noisy. Unplugged at night. Staff helpful friendly, especially Aris and Marichu.

« The Sun Sun was perfect!! »

Our room was clean and quiet, the A/C worked great, there was hot water, clean towels, a hair dryer, working wifi and free toiletries. The location isn't ideal - it's a bit of a walk to the Wynn- maybe 20 minutes, or you can take the bus. The Venetian is far, but you can take bus 26A. Busses cost 3.20MOP each. Good luck with the pollution - Macau's air is unreal!!

« Not bad hotel for short stay »

Nice view at the hotel room during sunset...seaview and can see Macau convention tower. Walking distance to shopping areas and St Paul Ruin...nice foods at its vicinity too. Helpful staffs who helped us get around the city and grab taxi for us.

    « Good Stay but.. »

Overall, I had a good stay. i just got a little disappointed that i was given a wrong information when i checked in last Feb 17 2016 about the initial deposit that i need to make upon checking in. I arrived late that date so i don't have a local money yet so i have no choice but to use my credit card for the initial deposit and was advised it will just take 2 business days to be returned after i check out the next day but up until this day they haven't returned the money back to my card! I called them yesterday and was advised it should take 2-3 weeks to be processed!

    « No regrets »

This is a 3 star hotel, a good one. We arrived late at night and we were welcomed by co Filipinos working there, which made it even better for us. No problem checking in , got this via Ctrip. We were at Room 901, 2 single beds. Beds were comfy. Bathroom spacious enough. Very clean. Amenities complete. The location was good, whether you do want a "walking tour" of temples, churches and of course Senado Square and The Ruins or you want to ride the bus to take you to the Cotai strip and go to Venetian Hotel area. Nearest bus stop, Ponte de Horta, very accessible. There is also a 7-11 store in this bus stop. A short block away is a big 24 hour grocery store, in case you need to do grocery, it is not on the Main Street, but not hard to find. I commend the hotel staff, especially Greg and the other Filipinos who made our stay in this hotel very good, we felt safe and welcome. I won't hesitate booking here again the next time I visit Macau.

    « Epic Friends Trip »

Nice boutique hotel. Rooms are clean n tidy. Room service is good. Hotel staff was friendly n helpful. The location of the hotel is great. Lot of attractive places and casinos near by. Most of the places are walkable. Wifi in the room was very good. All in all a comfortable stay.

    « Really recommended »

This hotel is far away from the casino but near the historical macau place like senado square.. if u want to stay near local people.. this hotel is a good choice because u can find a authentic breakfast restaurant or dining restaurant around there. The room itself is really surprised me.. it was really clean and neat. Bed was really comfy too. Bathroom also really clean. It was beyond my expectations. So i really recomended this hotel as the price is reasonable too.. The concierge is really helpful too.. always open the front door for us, hekp to carry our luggages and always smile to us..

« Pleasant middle priced hotel »

Room and room facilities were sufficient. Asked for extra pillows and quickly delivered (One hotel in Singapore charged for extra pillows). The kettle in the room for hot water had the most short power cord we have seen. Not long enough to go in the power point. Had a nice restaurant on one of the floors. Food was nice and reasonable priced .... but took a long time to be delivered. All the hotel and restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful.

    « Pleasant Accommodation »

    1. Location: It is near Largo do Senado, but far away from Hotel Lisboa and Wynn. There is no shuttle bus from harbor and airport so that we got to take a complimentary shuttle bus from harbor to Wynn and then walked to Best Western Hotel Sun Sun. It takes approximately 15 mins walk from Hotel Wynn to Best Western Hotel Sun Sun. 2. Staff: The stafff is kind and friendly. Bellboy and receptionist offered good service. 3. Cleanliness: The room was clean and neat. 4. Comfort: In general, the room is comfortable and quiet. Overall, the stay at Best Western Hotel Sun Sun was pleasant and comfortable. However, there is no complimentary shuttle bus available. Getting to the hotel is no so convenient. If the hotel can provide a complimentary shuttle bus from harbor and airport, that will be perfect.

« Reasonably priced midrange property in Macau »

Sun Sun is a Best Western property located at Praca de Ponte a Horta on the Macau Peninsula. This is a good midrange hotel for those seeking familiar comforts and fairly nice rooms, but not wanting to pay a fortune on hotels during stays in Macau. We made reservations through around 2 months before visiting, finding rates to be quite favourable compared to similar hotels during the time of our stay. Hotel Features: Staff are less organised here compared to other hotels and check-in takes a bit longer than usual. It is a rather large hotel with limited lobby space so it seems busy most of the time. Lobby includes small seating area and the Sun Bar. There is an upstairs feature restaurant called The Square. Didn't care much for the food here but the venue itself is casual, relaxing and they have a wide menu list so this might be a good option for some. Sadly, the hotel only has two lifts servicing the entire 15 floors, meaning you have to wait a bit to go up to your room or come down during busy times. Room Features: Rooms are fair sized and come with expected features for a Best Western property. Bed was soft and provided a good nights sleep. Plenty of luggage space, open closet for hanging clothing, desk and chair, fridge and coffee/tea making facility. The room came with nice views of the square below the hotel, fast and stable wifi. No safe and unfortunately our TV reception was poor during our stay. Bathroom: Bathroom decent sized with modern fixtures. Shower water pressure was very good and provided warm water throughout. Toiletries included, towels changed daily. Location: Sun Sun is located at a neat little square called Praca de Ponte a Horta. This is a bit off the Historic Centre of Macau but not difficult to find. You can use the local buses from the ferry terminal, 3A or 10 and exit at the Ponte Horta exit. The ride is around 20-25 minutes (MOP 3.2 per person). You can walk to the historic city centre in 5-10 minutes depending on which attraction area you are targeting. There are lots of places to eat in the area beyond the hotel restaurant. Plus, you can find a 24 hour supermarket less than 2 minute walk in the direction of Ave. Almeida Riberio. Overall, Sun Sun by Best Western is a good midrange property in Macau, offering rooms at reasonable prices compared to similar category hotels around the city. We were pleased with our stay here and would consider returning during future visits to Macau.

« Very Good choice for Macau downtown »

The hotel is a Very Good choice for Macau downtown, just 5 min from the historical downtown, Largo do Senado and all the other touristic spots Room was clean and decently large, big plus the Nespresso machine (with free capsules) in the room Staff very gentle and available Good value for the Price

« Comfortable and Enjoyable Stay »

It was nice experience in staying there Hotel in terms for Value for Money. Also if you are young and no problem with walking its very near to San Malou Market near Ruins of St Pauls Church just 10 Min Walking from the Hotel.

« Will visit here again »

Please note: cab drivers know this hotel by the name "Sun Sun Hotel" I love the Filipino guarding the door. Very warm and approachable. He even asked the Chinese staff to write the names of places that you could visit in Chinese characters. :) Room is big enough and the amenities such as electrical kettle and fast wi-fi are worth your money, considering that it's an affordable rate. Very near to tourist spots like A Ma Temple, Senado Square and Ruins of St. Paul. 7-11 is just 50 meters away. Bus stop is also 50 meters away. If you want an affordable hotel which is near to where the action is and which is conveniently located, get this one.

    « old macau »

i have stayed in the cotai area before and had to travel to get to the old part of the city. all i saw were casinos and expensive shopping. but best western sun sun hotel is right in the middle of old macau. great hotel. helpful staff. clean rooms. great location. specially for someone who has knee problems. this hotel is walking distance to everything including a 2 minute walk to the bus stop. local bakeries around the corner. sugar cane juice shop. noodle shops. shopping and even 7/11 convenience store. this hotel is located right in front of a public park where the locals exercise every morning. there is a great restaurant on the 3rd floor of the hotel too. i will highly recommend and will stay here again when in macau.

    « Old Macau »

In the middle of the quaint old town, there's this breath of fresh air in the form of Best Western Sun Sun. Check in was quick and efficient, the room and bathroom clean. We enjoyed a free upgrade with 3 pots of FOC coffee with espresso machine in the room and soft drinks in the refrigerator. Staff were most helpful and friendly and room price reasonable... what more can you ask for? As for exploring the town, its 5 minutes walk to Senado Square (only because it's a bit of an uphill climb) and the middle point to attractions from there. It's a residential area nearby and every corner has some restaurant or snack bar to satisfy the hunger pangs and enjoy some old familiar delicacy. The supermarket is just right behind the hotel. Rua de Felicidade is nearby with food galore. On the right hand side from the lobby, walk about 3 minutes until you reach the main road. Catch a number 26A bus to Taipa/Cotai Strip/Coloane for only 5MOP. This is a happening place if you are into the old Macau, but if you were expecting glitzy glamour then this is not the right place for you. For me, it was near perfect!

    « Value for money »

This hotel offers a very good value for money as the price you pay is not high. Location wise is very convenient as it is about 15mins walk to Senado square and from there another 10-15mins walk to St Paul Ruins. Bus stop is about 2mins walk only and it practically bring you anywhere in macau. The room is of an average size with a nice comfy bed. Bathroom is average size but functional and very clean. This hotel is quite new and clean. For the price we paid - it came with free wifi and breakfast. It is quite a bargain. Will come back here again if I am travelling on a budget.

« Friendly staff, many english speaking »

Great place to stay in Macau reasonably priced, with quite a few english speaking staff who go out of their way to help. Good variety of breakfast choices in the restaurant all again reasonably priced. Also a good place to eat at night.

    « Awesome stay »

We stayed for a night in this hotel, had a pleasant experience as it is quite new and clean. Complementary beverages and mineral water is provided in the room. The receptionists are friendly and helpful, though they are not very fluent in English. We asked them for directions to the Ruins of St Paul's, they gladly pointed the direction for us. Definitely will stay in this hotel again in our future visits to Macau.

    « Good location »

We stayed only for 1 night. We took jet boat from kowloon to macau outer terminal then using free bus to hard rock hotel then walked to venetian. After that took taxi to ruin of st paul for 80 hkd then walked to senado square and walked again to the hotel. Hotel location near to everything. Quick check in and check out. We booked the room via with the condition we paid at hotel and non refundable, so 2 week before our booking date the hotel charged our credit card for room but they release the fund after 2 week. We paid cash for the room but no need to paid deposit cash 500hkd because the hotel still hold our money from credit card when check in. Got upgrade room to excecutive floor. The room big and clean. Comfortable bed and 4 pillows. Big lcd tv, fridge, safety box, bath suit, coffee machine. But all room is non smoking. At night we walked to mgm casino and lisboa casino. After check out we took free bus from sofitel hotel to macau terminal to the jet boat to hongkong.

« One of the best hotel in Macau »

We stayed there for 3 nights. All the staffs are helpful. The room we stayed is excellent , very clean and tidy. it is located in very convenient place because we can go to a lot of attraction places by foot specially for Senado Squre , Ruin of St.Paul, it is just 5min walk and there is one money exchange just beside the hotel. Seven Eleven is near there and there are a lot small shops to eat.

    « Good Choice! »

Although we only stayed in this hotel for a night, it was very satisfying. The room was comfortable, spacious, beds are soft and clean, with free amenities like coffee, tea, bottled water and toiletries. It's Christmas season so we didn't expect that we would get an early check in. Location is accessible to all the attractions and landmarks. It's just walking distance to Senado Square, Ruins of St. Paul's, churches and muesums.. Unfortunately most of the museums are closed on Mondays the day we were there. Restaurants, small eateries, cafes, dessert parlors, bakeries and even Filipino stores are all over the place. Easy to get a bus ride, too. Filipino staff are very helpful and courteous. But there was a lady at the reception (Chinese) who was quite angry and not accommodating. All in all, it was a good choice.

« My hotel room was open when I got back!!! »

My husband and I left the hotel at 730am and went back around 12mn and saw that our room door was open!!! A pair of jeans I left hanging at the back of a chair was also folded and placed back in my luggage. This is very weird and highly unusual. There are huge security and privacy concerns breached by the hotel by doing this to me. I will never go back.

« We loved this hotel. »

Room is very comfortable. Breakfast was really good. Staff esp. the Filipino ones were very friendly and helpful. Location was very good - near the bus stop and other Macau attractions like Ruins of St. Paul.

    « Comfortable stay! »

Location of hotel is great and sea and park view. I love to stay here and cleanliness of the room. I would like to stay here again if I have a plan to visit Macau. the staff is kind and helpful. I highly recommended the hotel for stay in Macau. It is close with Ruin of St. Paul Church area and Catholic Seminary. Enjoy!!

    « Great Location Hotel »

Location of the hotel is great - can take a bus from the pier to the hotel, within walking distance. The surrounding of the hotel is in the central of the route of historical sites. We can walk to these historical sites. Also surrounded by foods in the areas.

« A good budget hotel with a convenient location »

We booked this hotel after reading the reviews. Since this hotel had mixed reviews, we did not expect much. Check in was quick and easy. There is deposit required (as you can read in other reviews) or you can have your credit card swiped. The rooms were OK in size and the bathroom was OK in size as well. The breakfast was OK. For the budget price we were paying, no complaints there. The best part for me was the location. We commuted a lot, and the bus stop was just walking distance from the hotel. Lots of great places to eat nearby (ask the locals where to eat). All in all, yes, I would go back to this hotel. The staff were very helpful too!

« Everything was good except service »

Location: Good. 2minutes walks to nearest bus stop to get you to almost everywhere. Walking distance to tourist area and some popular restaurant. Room: Big and clean but filled with cigarette smell although we asked for a non-smoking room. Room noise level was high as we were given a connected room. . But we can even hear the talking voices at the corridor everyday. Toilet flush badly function. Toilet jam at the last day of staying and the service did not arrive even we did call. Pillow was lousy. Call and ask personally at counter for extra pillow. Promised to deliver but never arrive. Disappointed. Toiletries: Basic. Hair dryer, tooth brush and shower cap available. Fridge: Very warm like not working. TV: Local channel. Internet: Average. Functioning.

    « Cozy »

First off: this was not the Best Western I'd thought I'd booked (which no longer exists) close to the stadium for the Macau marathon! Within the year, from the last race day, the Best Western changed ownership and it's a different hotel. This Best Western is no where near the stadium though it is close to the race route. Getting a taxi in the morning was stressful; however, the front desk staff were very helpful, calling different taxi numbers and walking down the road to flag one down. No breakfast was included in the room price. The room was small but comfortable. If I'd had more time I would have liked to check out the area as it looked like a cool part of town. I would stay there again (but not if I was in Macau to run the marathon-too stressful, not knowing if I'd get a taxi or not).

    « Cozy hotel »

From the outer harbour ferry terminal you could board bus 3A bound for Praca de Ponte e Horta, get off at Praca de Ponte e Horta station (last stop) fare would be 3.2 MOP/HKD, hotel is only about 50 m from the station. To get to the airport take bus 26 at the bus stop in front of 7-11 near Praca de Ponte e Horta Station, then get off at Macau Airport. Fare would be 5 MOP/HKD. Hotel is not glitzy but rooms are comfortable. Rooms have nespresso machines and free sodas in the fridge. Hotel is only 200 m from Senado square, 500 m from the ruins of St. Paul, 1.6 km from Macau tower, 2 km from Macau Fisherman's Wharf, 2.6 km from Macau Cultural Center, Macau Museum of Art and Macau Science Center. There are a lot of Filipino employees who are very friendly and accommodating. They can communicate well in english and would not hesitate to answer our queries. The only complaint I have is that the internet connection in our room was unstable. Overall we enjoyed our stay in this hotel.

    « Comfortable stay! »

We stayed there for a couple of nights and loved it! It was so close to the airport. We took the 26A Bus and got off at the La Roche station, just around the block from the hotel. It was late at night and freezing cold when we got to the hotel. The 2 Filipino staff welcomed us warmly and assisted us with our luggages. Check in was a breeze, too. Aris, one of the very helpful Filipino staff gave us tips on where to eat for late night dinner. The room was just the right size for 2 people. The bed, pillows, and sheets were very comfortable. I especially loved the fact that the room came with a Nespresso machine, a mini bar stocked with water and soda -- for free! The location of the hotel was a good 10 minute walk from Senado Square, a few steps away from 7/11, and a few minutes walk to small cafes and restaurants serving really authentic Chinese food. The casino strip was a 15-minute bus ride away. We really had an awesome time! We would definitely stay here again the next time we're in Macau. :)

    « Truly An Unforgettable Experience ! »

It was truly an unforgettable experience during my stay here last week ! During one of my nights at the hotel, 17/12/2015, I left my phone on the cab which I took back to the hotel. It was the worst thing that could ever happened to me as I depended highly on my phone for business matters. Soon enough, I concluded that I might have left my phone on the cab I took back to the hotel earlier on. As soon as the staffs on duty, ZULMIRO & NIKI, were informed of my situation, they took the initiative to locate the cab driver. To sum up the whole incident, i would have never recover my phone in perfect condition if not for the dedicated and considerate staffs of the hotel. During my moments of panic and anxiety, the staffs were calm and displayed professionalism in handling my situation. It really meant to me a lot that they did not ignore my request for help but instead went the extra mile by attempting persistently to locate the cab driver. Words could never express how grateful I am towards the staffs on duty. Apart from the incident that happened, overall, the hotel deserves two thumbs up in providing a clean, spacious rooms and a comfortable environment which no doubt made our stay at the hotel worthwhile. Although many will judge the staffs' friendliness towards hotel guests as a small gesture, it was a definitely one of the reasons I felt refreshed after a tiring day throughout my stay. Lastly, I wish to sincerely express my gratitude towards the team of Best Western Sun Sun Hotel. You have earned my utmost respect in providing the best hotel services in the tourism industry of Macau. My experience with the hotel was definitely one of the highlights of my Macau trip. Happy holidays to all! Best regards POON

« Good location, okay hotel »

Good comfortable hotel, walking distance from Largo do Senado, and quite close to good restaurants and convenience stores. The rooms were clean and compact, the view was fabulous, the staff was friendly, and the standard room gave us the usual complimentary stuff (toothbrush, shampoo, conditioner etc.) Good hotel for the price you pay. Easily accessible by public transport.

« Close to bus station but need improve services »

Positive: Close to bus station, room very clean and view ok. Negative: The check in staff at the reception was unhelpful. He didn't want to answer the questions and we had problem about room. We had booked room for 3 persons with special requested but got room with two bed with one sofa! Amenity in room set for 2 person only. Finally, we move the room to twin bed and one extra bed. Last thing is hot water was not stable.

    « Comfortable stay »

It was a pleasant stay. Room is clean and neat. Hotel staff is friendly, especially Doris who is helpful. Hotel is located within walking distance to Senado Square. Finding food nearby is not an issue. Would come back to stay here again.

« Very good location to stay »

I and my friends stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. It's very good location, easy to walk to many good tourist spots for sight seeing. near by shopping area, bus stop, casinos and restaurants...etc The room was clean and the bed super comfortable.

    « Very comfortable stay »

One of the merit point of this hotel is that it is not located right smack in places where there are high traffic of crowd thus there is some peace and tranquility gained. However, it is easy to access to those attractions and landmarks by walking through the alleys. The hotel room is very tastefully designed and decorated. The room is clean and spacious and the toilet is comfortable. The staff are helpful and will help to point us to the right directions as well as are able to answer all our queries! Furthermore, it is easy to travel from the ferry terminal to the hotel with 3A bus (??? Si Da Kou) at the ferry terminal bus stop with bus fare of MOP/HKD$3.20 and within half an hour time or less, stopping at the last stop.

    « Very accommodating »

We arrived early at around 11 am. After a long 15 hours flight plus ferry, we were exhausted by the time we got to the hotel. We explained to the front desk that we would like to check in asap as we were very tired and would like to lay our heads on a pillow. They were very efficient and called the house cleaning staff to get a room ready in a very short time. This is very accommodating and good customer service. The room is clean and good value. This hotel is a bit off from the main touristy area but within walking distance to the landmark e.g. St. Paul Ruins. Recommend this hotel

    « My stay »

Good location, not far from A - Ma temple and Senado square. The taxi cost from airport to hotel around 100 MOP. The room is ok. I paid for triple room but the staff said the extra bed will set at 18:00 hrs. as per their policy. I wait till 18:00 hrs. but no extra bed.

« very helpful staff and clean room »

the staffs were very helpfull and communicatif and the room was big but not really a good view, the comfortness is OK, and haven't tried the food yet. usahakan kesini jika betul-betul membawa anak, jika bisa backpack cari hotel yg lebih murah

    « Good Location »

The hotel is cosy, clean and value for money (they even have a coffee maker in the room). Near to Ruins of St. Paul and Senado Square, and also Ponte 16(the Michael Jackson Gallery) and all staffs can speak English.

    « Great Location »

The hotel is an excellent 3 star place within walking distance of Macau's historic places of interest. The room was clean and the staff were helpful and polite. Easy to get to from the Macau Ferry. I took the # 3 bus (there are others e.g. #3A etc.) from the ferry and it's final stop is 150 meters from the Sun Sun. To get to City of Dreams (House of Dancing Water show) we took the MT4 bus again the stop is very close to the Sun Sun. Once you get your head around the bus system Macau is an easy place to get around as waiting for cabs can be no fun at all. 750 meters down the road is the best Portuguese restaurant in Macau (well in my opinion) the A Lorcha. We got in on Sunday at 8.30pm as we did not book but it was worth it.

« Near Senado square, new hotel and wide room »

Location 4/5 If you love shopping at Senado square not gambling, this is one of the best hotel to stay because just only a few minutes to go shopping at Senado Square. However, it is quite far from The Venetian macau. So you might need to take a taxi to go to The Venetian Macau. Staff 5/5 They can communicate in English. Breakfast 2.5/5 Breakfast is not buffet. Not many choices for you to choose but the taste is okay. Room 4/5 Quite comfortable to sleep. Good place for 3 persons because you will have separate room like living room not extra bed in the same room. Bathroom 3.5/5 Modern and clean.

« Good location for historic walking tourist. »

I saw some bad reviews in past but I enjoyed my stay. If you are not visiting Macau for Casino, this is a good hotel for value. Easy walking distance to historic sites.Seven Eleven is just 1 min walk. Room was clean and seemed still new after renovation. There were no shampoo in my room but house keeping brought one within 5 min upon request.

    « Just Ok »

Try not Staying Here if Possible, not the best Hotel,Small and Dingy Rooms.Breakfast was also Ok Types. There Are better Properties Around with Similar Price. The only Positive Point is it is really close to Venetian, besides that Nothing to talk About

« Very nice front liner staff »

I forget the name of the staff, she's so nice and helpful , maybe the hotel management has to give her a reward, today Oct 13, 2015, she's on duty, she has short hair. This hotel is recomended, the room was so clean, very good location, just walking to Senado square, Lisboa, The Wynn, near the Porta Horte bus point to many sighseeing spot with Bus No. 3A only MOP 3.2 one way.

« How NOT to solve a problem »

I arrived on Friday, October 1, 2015. I had booked three nights through Expedia. When I checked in, they only had two nights on the reservation. They said I must have made a mistake. When I produced the confirmation email from Expedia, they said Expedia must have made the mistake. I tried to phone Expedia to resolve the problem, but the hotel wanted to charge the high long distance rate for this call. The front desk clerk was rude, When I explained I had a flight on Monday, and needed a room for the third night, I was told if I pay a higher rate at that moment, they would hold a room for me. If I did not pay the higher rate right then, they could not hold a room for me. To bad, because the rest of the staff - room clerks, restaurant staff - were great. friendly and efficient. But I was the customer, paying them money, and they learned this was an error either by them, or by Expedia, they treated me like they did not want my business, just my money. I stayed the two nights, and went to another hotel for the third night.

I booked this hotel through Upon check-in, we were surprised to know that our stay is not yet paid by upon their confirmation. It was just a reservation. Glad there is a Filipino staff to explain it to us since those in the reception area aren't that good in speaking English. The hotel room is clean which comes with an espresso machine and a mini refrigerator where u can enjoy 2 cans of coke and 2 cans of beer (which we didn't enjoy since we don't drink those kinds). The view from the room is not that nice. Check-in and checkout was a breeze though.

Travel Date: Sept 18-19,2015 Hotel Reservation: Agoda We ride the Sofitel Ponte 16 Hotel Macau FREE Shuttle Bus from Macau Ferry to get to Hotel Sun Sun. Upon entering the guy receptionist gave me a queuing number to wait for our turn. The girl receptionist asked me our passport for encoding our info in their system and told me that I need to pay $500 HKD as a Deposit fee.I was shocked because that is not included on the Agoda voucher so Iam not aware of it. Because our room is fully paid 2months before our flight and to think that we're going to stay at the hotel overnight. They accept credit card for the deposit fee but this will be cancelled after 2weeks.(Thumbs down for not informing the customer ahead of time that we need to pay a deposit fee). :( Our room number is 1014(10th floor Room 14) the cozy comfort room on Agoda voucher. The room is clean and comfortable and it has a complete toiletries (shampoo,Body wash, soap, brush, shower cap, bath robe, face towel, towel, hair blower, slippers). The room has a complimentary coffee, bottled water, tea and an electric kettle as well as a tv and air-conditioner. The bed is so comfortable to sleep in and the mattress is clean and it makes us want to stay in the room until the next day. Hay! Location is good it is near the bus stops and ruins of St.Paul and other attractions. The Filipino staff is very accommodating, friendly and they can speak english very well and a little cantonese so there's no problem in communicating to other chinese receptionist.Thumbs up! Our experience at this hotel is Superb and given the chance to visit Macau again I would definitely go to this hotel. :) Except that they must inform the guest first when booking to their hotel about their deposit fee in Agoda or other websites.

Location is within walking distance to many places. There's a 7 Eleven located just 2 minutes walking away from the Hotel. It is also within walking distance, approximately 15 minutes away walking to the Ruins of St pauls. Hotel is of decent size and for the price we paid for, it is considered value for money.
