The Best Western Euro Hotel is located just a few minutes away from Luxembourg-City and Kirchberg, which is part of the financial district, and only five kilometers away from the new motorway A8. 50 comfortable and fully equipped rooms offering television, radio, mini-bar and telephone will make your stay convenient and enjoyable. WLAN Internet is free of charge. Our restaurant is renowned for its excellent French and Luxembourgish cuisine. A large banquet hall is available for all ceremonies. Private parking space is provided behind our hotel. Enjoy your stay.
This hotel was chosen due to location to the airport. It is very dated and not the type of hotel I'd recommend to a friend. With that said, the staff were friendly and helpful and made our stay the best possible. Since I was staying for business the room was okay for my needs but this would not have been adequate if traveling with my wife as she deserves more.
Euro Hotel is a very decent place for a business trip to Luxembourg. Definitely recommended for people coming with a car. WiFi ok, breakfast very good, room super clean, very friendly and helpful staff. An additional plus is the lovely view of the countryside you get from the hotel in the morning.
Here is a major brand with a quiet hotel almost in a field! Their room rate is very low, with parking and breakfast included. Both nights the "no vacancy" sign was up, but the hotel seemed empty, and there was no noise, and almost no one at breakfast. Yet the building was fully staffed, and there was a large and interesting breakfast fully supplied with local specialties, such as locally produced honey. Try it! No one on staff was exceptionally friendly, but they did their jobs. The restaurant seemed full each night, as was the restaurant parking lot. In case you have dinner there, ask about ingredients in each item. In case you don't like something or can't eat it, you'll be charged for it anyway. Luxembourg City can have terrible traffic build-ups. You might want to take the comfortable bus from across the street to the City. Coming home, the walk is farther, but it is easier than dealing with traffic and parking. Several comments have cited the gasoline station and convenience store next to the hotel. The store has whatever you might need, including fresh flowers! One huge drawback to this property is the heat problem. This might be the perfect place to stay in the cold winter. We came in on a sunny, 76-degree afternoon to find the heaters on. Sleeping was difficult because the room was hot, and the comforter was, too.
I was very pleased that I stayed in this hotel, which is set in a lovely village on a bus route from the city centre (buses 110 and 111 run from outside the main railway station). Around the hotel are rolling hills and woodlands. A nice and quiet location. Next door is a filling petrol station with a convenience store. I found out that the hotels in the city centre are in the seedy area of the town, which is best avoided as quite frankly, is disgusting. This hotel has immaculately clean rooms, a super comfortable mattress and fluffy pillows, with an excellent choice available at breakfast. Pristine gardens also make for one of the views, but these are privately owned and not the hotel's. The staff are friendly and helpful. Upon arrival at Reception, the guests can help themselves to free fruit. I recommend the pears!
Looking for a quiet hotel look no farther. Didn't know there were other people in the hotel. Rooms are clean and no noise from other bathrooms, TV's or doors slamming. Staff is great, polite, friendly.
This Hotel is very nice the staff are friendly and helpful, the service is also very good. The only down side it is so remote there are no Taxis and if you want one you have to pay one to come out from Luxembourg city so your taxi journey is €55 before you start. So you really need a car in this area. The food and breakfast was very good and cannot be faulted in any way. Because I did not have a car I ate there every night so got to sample a number of items on the menu all exceptional.
The Hotel has a unique and pleasant charm to it. Located close to the highway, but has a beautiful view of the rolling landscape all around. A perfect break location when travel from Germany to Holland. Excellent rooms with all the amenities. The breakfast buffet was excellent too! Also had the A La Carte dining at the Restaurant, good menu choices! Overall an excellent experience!
Stayed for one night whilst doing business in Luxemboug. Primary reason for the choice is that the hotels in the centre of Luxemburg City are exorbitantly expensive and this one is more reasonably priced. This hotel is a no frills, road motel. Room was clean, the WiFi good and the staff friendly enough. Location is a bit out of the way but okay for a one night stop over. Don't expect any restaurant options nearby. Overall experience is decent without being memorable
We stayed here for four nights. The staff were friendly and helpful which always help to make a stay pleasant. The room was basic but fine. It was clean and a reasonable size. The only thing that I did not like was the toilet was separate from the bathroom with no handbasin. This meant that after using the toilet, you need to open the door, cross a small narrow corridor in the room to the bathroom where you could wash your hands. I cannot believe that this is very hygienic. The restaurant was a mix of positives and negatives. The breakfast which was self service was good. The food at dinner was generally good and tasty, although the steak was a bit tough. The service was poor. We were sometimes a group of four and on one occasion thirteen. The number of mistakes made (forgetting orders, bringing the wrong food and drinks etc.) was quite amazing for such a hotel. It didn't spoil anything for us but was really not good enough. Our first lunch in restaurant for example included sparkling water being brought when still water was ordered, a chicken salad brought instead of a pasta salad and red wine instead of white. Basic errors. There is also nothing to do in the winter in Gonderange. You need a car to see the local sites although there is a good bus service into Luxembourg city.
We stayed there fresh out of a long-haul flight, using it as a rest pit for jet lag. Exactly as we expected - decent room and service with very reasonable price. The room is clean and in decent size. Although during our stay, there was water leakage in the bathroom from the ceiling. No idea what happened, but it stopped after maybe 20 minutes. Told the front desk but they didn't seem surprised. Breakfast is good with a good selection of foods. Right next to the hotel is a gas station, which is quite convenient. From the hotel it takes about 15 minutes driving to the city. There's literally nothing touristy nearby and I didn't really see public transportation, so you gotta have a car to stay here.
For what is expected, it was good. I had a nice small room. Very near the location I had to be for one night. The people were nice, room was small but fine. Very basic. Basic breakfast. Just no food or drinks available outside the restaurant hours. No roomservice.
Recently decorated and well presented. The room was extremely hot; you couldn't leave the windows open because of the way the curtains were hung. Reception provided a fan on request but it didn't have much effect; we had to balance it on a chair to give it enough height for any benefit. Easy bus journey into Luxembourg City.
The hotel was very clean and the staff very friendly. The beds were comfortable and the area was very quiet at night- we were particularly pleased that the room had a kettle! Breakfast was good and finished at 10 so we didn't have to get up too early!
While no one will accuse Luxembourg City as being a noisy, over-crowded metropolis, we were very glad to find accommodations in "the burbs" of Gonderange. 3 minute walk to bus stop that takes you to The City and back, quite nicely. Don't have to worry about parking or driving after a cocktail or two in town. Standard European breakfast buffet. Hotel restaurant evening meal surprisingly good.
The building is impressed with its red color. It is located on a highway, but nothing is heard. It is about 20' by car from Luxembourg City, but it is located in an area where the options are limited. The room was large, with no luxury, but it had everything, and a bottled water was waiting for us. Very good and the bathroom. The only problem that we encountered was that we did not manage to find how air conditioning works, so we get tired of the heat. The breakfast was very good. Helpful staff, there is free wi-fi and parking, also free of charge.
The front desk team is friendly and pleasant and they were able to provide us ice cubes any tie we wanted them with a smile. They have a small lobby to the right of reception and a larger restaurant to the left. There is a large parking lot at the back of the hotel with space for all guests. There are three floors and they have an elevator for easy access to the rooms. The elevator was very efficient and prompt. I wish they had air conditioning as it can get hot in Luxembourg - at least they offer fans to move the air around. Our rooms were a good size and simply furnished. The bed felt like a typical foam slab but we were comfortable enough. The comforters were way too heavy for summertime sleeping and they might consider swapping out the heavy winter ones for a lighter variety when temperatures are warmer. I liked that they had a coffee service in the room and our room even had a small refrigerator that was perfect for keeping our yogurt and drinks cold. Breakfast was very good with scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, yogurt and the typical meats and cheeses. I really liked the coffee. They also had a few gluten free options for guests that are so inclined.
This hotel is about 20 or so minutes outside of Luxembourg City. Not much really by it though, a petrol station next door, and housing to the opposite side of the hotel. We happened to be here during a heatwave, which made sleep totally impossible even with the tiny fan from the desk. The room was hot no matter the time of day. It was almost nearly impossible to keep the windows open too since we were above the entrance which was the spot to smoke!! So between it being 90+ outside and no a/c we were pretty sick overnight from the heat. But the room was clean and tidy. The slippers were a nice addition. Breakfast is a nice spread of meats, cheeses, bread, jams, hot items, juice, etc.. But again it was hot in the breakfast area and the cheese was half melted after being on our plates after a few minutes.
The Hotel is very nice and the Restaurant is absolutely very good. The crew is very gentle. The price is quite in the standard. The rate could be 4 or 5 but airconditioning missing in the room and in the restaurant is really unacceptable!
Got a booking there from work. Getting to downtown in morning traffic was a bit slow and expensive. It's a nice place, but if you need to be near downtown, a bit far to commute. I had dinner one evening at the restaurant, it was very nice and tasty. People at the reception desk were very helpful and friendly. Spacy room too. Other than the location, this place is great.
Hotel is located around 10-15minutes from downtown Lux city, just follow the main road which will take you into the citycenter. If you don't have own transportation there is a busstop 50m away. The room was spacious, with toilet seperated from bathroom. Fridge /minibar and coffee/tea stuff in room. Stayed two nights; first night great nightrest even with open window. You could hear the planes and cars but at night its pretty quiet as there is no traffic. Second night it was much more busier in the hotel, and sometimes he walls "became thin". Also some people left early as there were a lot of transitguests and not all of them were very considered about other sleeping guests. The beds were a bit stiff but I found them very comfy. The breakfastbuffet is ok, there is the regular choices of breads and yoghurts/cereals. Even some glutenfree choices. So it will get you started for the day. Free good working WiFi and parking, although with full hotel occupation it might get a bit crowded. So for everybody who doesnt want to stay in the city itself, or more centrally between city and airport, this is a good choice.
Our room (quadrouple) was really spacious. Everything very clean. Free parking lot, free wifi. Good breakfast. Building is situated in a quiet village, no traffic noise or other disturbing. It can be difficult to get in or planning a trip from the hotel with no car. But we needed only a budget place for overnight stay during our trip and Best Western was perfect choice. The only thing we missed was 24h reception - or at least an opportunity to get the access to the room after the midnight during our arrival day.
if you like to see luxembourg city, but not want to be in it, you can take this hotel. It is on the route de luxembourg - so a rather busy road but you nearly hear it when you' re in the room. much hiking circuits starting from junglinster invite you to explore the greener side of this region.
It is a very good hotel, value for your money. Nice staff. Internet is sometimes a little bit slow, but good for work. The breakfast and dinner is ok. I will recommend this hotel for 1 or 2 nights, near Luxembourg city.
My wife, two daughters and I arrived after a 'nightmare' start to our European road trip. Our welcome was friendly and efficient. Our family room was spotlessly clean and comprised of: two sets of single beds which could be pulled apart if needed, a glorious shower room and separate WC and a well stocked mini-bar. A great night's sleep was had by all. The restaurant was lovely. The children's menu offered a variety of dishes and the portions were ample. My wife and I had steak. It was cooked to perfection and one of the best rumps I have ever had! Our waitress was incredibly attentive and we weren't charged for the refill after my daughter spilt her drink. Breakfast was scrumptious with plenty of hot and cold choices. Would definitely stay again!
Pros: good breakfast, helpful and kind staff, nice and clean rooms, no outside noise. Cons: no airconditioning, shower flooded, hallway noise, curtains don't close very well so light room early in the morning
Big room with 2 sets of 2 twins that could be kept together or moved apart. Great for my teenage boys who do not want to share a bed! The breakfast in the restaurant had a nice spread of hot and cold choices, nicely set table, attentive staff. The setting is nice as well, fields behind and a garden next door.
The hotel rooms have good sound isolation which is important due to hotel's position near the road. The beds were comfortable and the room was large and modern. The breakfast is various and good quality.
We stopped in the hotel for one night, travelling with our three large dogs, the purpose of our travel was the international dog show in Luxembourg. We were very positively surprised, the room was spacious enough for two persons with 3 giant dogs, the room was perfectly clean. I wasn't easy to find any hotel, the most hotels in Luxembourg accept only 1 small dog per room, but this hotel wasn't that case. Our dogs have even got "welcome stick" at the reception! The hotel stuff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also great, including eggs, sausages, bacon and various cheeses, etc..I can only recommend the hotel, it's a great value for money and dogs are also welcome!
I booked this hotel because it was the only one available for the time period. I was very positively surprised! Excellent value for money. Nice room and bathroom. Excellent WIFI. Quiet. Kind staff and great food in the Restaurant. The only problem is the location if you don't come by car. I took a taxi early morning to the Kirchberg which was fine (15 min) but costs around 40 Euros. All in all I can certainly recommend it.
We stopped in Luxembourg for one night on the way to Belgium from Germany. It was convenient. It was not right in town center, but it was convenient. It was a 5-10 drive to the city center, but it was a straight drive to the parking garage right into town. The staffs are a great, very friendly and helpful. We are a family of four, who normally have a two bedroom, but for only one night, we booked this hotel with one room but with a quadruple accomodation. It didn't disappoint, they truly had four beds, which made the room a little bit bigger than it would normally be. Parking was safe, even if it's not a garage and it was free. Breakfast was good, it included normal European goodies and hot food, which included bacon and eggs. If you're looking for a good value, this is a good find.
Great alternative if you don't want to stay or pay downtown Luxemburg. Less than 10 mls from the centre, can take some time in rush hour though... but nothing to blame to the hotel. Fast internet, free parking (rare in Luxemburg), very good restaurant, and friendly service. Clean and comfy rooms. Not too fancy or cozy, but good enough to make you feel comfortable.
The hotel is clean, friendly, and has a very helpful staff. There is adequate free parking, free internet, and there is a restaurant on site (which is good because there is no other food within an easy walk unless you count the Aral fuel station convenience store next door). The restaurant has a good variety to offer. I had the home made lasagna, which was not to my taste, but perhaps was a local style I am not familiar with. Not the hotels fault, but I tried a local beer called DieKirch. I like beer, I like some beers more than other. It is rare that I say I just didn't like one. This was one that I drank, but would never want again. To me it tasted like it was brewed with high sulfur content water. If you have ever tasted or smelled the unfiltered water from Laconia NH, or Sulfur Springs, you will know what I mean. It had what to me seemed like a slight "rotten egg" smell and taste. I understand it is a local traditional favorite, but it was not to my liking. The hotel is about 12-14 km from Luxembourg city, and the traffic in the morning is quite heavy but manageable if you allow time. Luxembourg City is the current EU presidency, all the hotels in town stay booked all the time and when they are available, they are expensive. The Best Western is not a fancy hotel, but it is clean, reasonably priced, not too inconvenient, and has plenty of free parking and an accommodating staff. I would stay there again without hesitation. The room was comfortable, quiet, and if I were to list any negative aspects it would be that it was rather short on electrical power outlets. The free internet worked fine (but it is completely open - no password or login required) When I checked in, the hotel clerk even called the hotel where my conference was to make sure they had parking. My reservation was in order and check in and out was quick and easy. The breakfast was buffet style but had a wonderful variety of excellent offerings including scrambled eggs. I did not know that Luxembourg had its own language. I had always assumed it would be German, French, or Flemish.
We stayed 3 nights in this hotel in August 2015. everything was just fine apart from one thing .. no air con. The weather was cool so it did not bother us too much but you need to leave the windows open for ventilation and that lets a bit of road noise into the room. If we stayed again I would ask for a room at the back opposite to the Garage which is next door. That aside the hotel does the rest well .. friendly and helpful staff .. good variety of languages spoken including English .. great supermarkets with in 10 minutes driving (the Auchan in the Luxembourg Centre was the best though) and the breakfast was just terrific .. best wifi we experienced so far .. and the free parking.
To our surprise the hotel's Pyramide restaurant was excellent! We arrived with 2 kids (4 and 10) after a long journey and decided to stay for dinner expecting hamburgers or salads. To our surprise, the menu had a very good range of dishes and cateres forkids too! We got an amaizing salad with truffes, tomatos and fresh figs, lasagna (really jummy) and a fantastic desert consisting of sorbets and fresh mango plus coulies. Very good food! The list of wines was good tood and the service impecable and kind. I would recommend this restaurant to anybody on his/her way to Luxembourg. Besides this the hotel was clean, practical and the rooms nice and big. Highly recommended too.
Spent one night here after travelling from Dunkirk on our route to Germany's Black Forest area. The hotel is located in a quiet area next to a petrol station (with cheap diesel at €1.05 per litre) and is surrounded by lots of green filelds. Our room was large and clean with good furnishings. It was rather warm and the room didn't have a fridge or tea making facilities. We needed to leave the window open that night and as it was facing a field we had some flies in the room! Breakfast was served in a well laid out dining room and there was a good variety of food both hot and cold on offer..very good standard. We drove in to the city on the evening we arrived...a hassle free drive apart from the usual issue of finding car parking in the city. The trip back to the hotel however was a bit hair raising as once you leave the city the road is poorly lit and bordered by large trees..luckily it wasn't a long journey.
very friendly and committed staff, good cuisine at decent prices (compared to Luxemburg city restaurants), clean and modern rooms, but missed a love chair or something to sit and stretch my legs..., very fast & free internet, no AC though, so don't come on a hot day (>90F). At least you can open the windows...
This was a great place to stay we needed to stay here longer. We visited sights around the area as we pasted through. The Staff and Hotel were great and would highly recommend this one if it is on your travel route or longer. These guys know how to put on a great breakfast. Next time I will be staying longer!! so I can enjoy there hospitality.
