I now know why we got such a good deal with Love Holidays for a 3 night stay here. The hotel itself is quite nice with a good swimming pool. However, although it states there are tea and coffee facilities, there are none in the room but upon asking, we were kindly given kettle, coffee an tea etc. by lovely receptionist but coffee not replenished the next day and had to ask again, where it was no problem. Breakfast was ample with the normal continental breakfast of meat, cheese, cereal and a lot of cakes and croissants. The room was of good size overlooking a not so busy road (107) with a lift to it. Good pre-set A/C. So, all in all not bad at all; BUT; it is a good way out of Verona and although you can book the shuttle (which was great) to get you where you wanted, that finished at midday and the last bus back to the hotel was 7.35pm so if you don't have transport, you would need a taxi @ E20 minimum. From Verona Porta Nuova you can take a train to Lake Garda - Desenzano Garda-Sirm at a cost of something like 4.45E (basic train) and then catch a ferry boat at a cost of which I can't remember but won't break the bank (which seems to be called a speed boat) to Sermione which is absolutely lovely and worth doing. However, again, check the times of the buses back as we went on a Sunday and when we rushed back to catch the7.35pm last bus (161 from C6 across the road from train station) - there didn't seem to be one. We were told that taxis were double the price on a Sunday and so we thought we would be having to pay 50E to get back to Hotel Antico Termine but as luck would have it, it was 22E. From what we saw of Verona on the first night; it was very beautiful but we did a 3 night stay and forewent our last night here as we wanted to stay in Venice on the last night; which was also fabulous - A really lovely 3 night trip!
The staff at this hotel were great and the hotel's facilities - particularly the pool - were fantastic. However, the rooms needed a little TLC. This is especially true for the air conditioning, which can only be controlled from reception. When it came to dinner and breakfast I also found that the staff were ill-equipped to deal with dietary requirements but this wasn't too much of an issue seeing as we were there for one night.
We stayed here for 4 nights as a couple. We arrived late evening from the airport and although the kitchen had already closed they ensured that we had some dinner. All the staff were very friendly and nothing was too much to ask. In particular Sherrif and Thomas were great. Thomas helped us to find places to visit as we had never been to Italy before and sherrif was very friendly and welcoming . I had my birthday during our stay and they surprised me with a dessert, drink and some hand picked flowers from the gardens. We have bothed really enjoyed our stay here. The outside pool was lovely, breakfast and dinner in the reception was good and the rooms were just what we needed.
Had a brilliant time stayed here 27th March for four nights. Very clean and with friendly staff. Charif was amazing, organising the shuttle bus and printing off train times for us. And looking out for us always welcoming when we arrived back at the hotel. Can't thank him enough he made our stay memorable. We loved the hotel and breakfast and meals in the restaurant were plentiful too.

Dear Shej, thanks for these nice worlds . We look forward o seeing you soon. Best regards Cristina Residori
We visited here last year for a hen party! We wanted to be near enough to Verona but out of the city centre - Lugagno is perfect. As long as you are happy to be in a quieter area and a cab ride away from Verona, this is for you! The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The pool staff were lovely, especially one of the older waiters - he was great the whole time and very fun! He is in one of the photos, posing with the unicorn!! The breakfast is lovely and there is a big selection. The rooms could do with a bit of attention and a bit of modernization but they are clean, tidy and nice enough. The pool area is clean and there are lots of comfy beds. We loved this hotel and would definitely return.
I got here so late. The night manager took time himself to prepare me food which was absolutely fantastic. It was a reasonable stay, but I found the hotel dated, and the bed sheets had a scent that they had been washed with something they shouldn't have. If that wasn't the case I would give this place a stunning review as the staff were just awesome.
I travelled with my disabled Dad and they could not have been more accommodating. A massive thank you to Charlie and the team, who went out of their way to make the stay exceptional. Charlie's culinary skills meant I had the best meals of this year, with quality steak and plenty of variety. I would like to thank Charlie in particular, and all of the staff, who made Christmas memorable. Kindest regards Nick (Room 409)
The first couple of times I stayed here I was very happy, but last time I stayed during the summer I had lost my wedding band. That in itself was my mistake, and It was good that the staff found it and emailed me back. I booked to stay there again before my flight to the US because I really wanted to reclaim it. I checked in at a late hour, and the night staff could not access the location of my ring (he told me his daytime colleague had access), and my flight would leave before he or she was available. Feeling dismayed that I could not have my much cherished ring back (it is about commitment and not monetary worth), I left my address with them and asked that it be mailed back to me and that I'd be happy to reimburse the postal fee. I waited and nothing arrived, so I asked about the ring by email again, but got no response from any staff. I have yet to receive any response or my ring here at the US. I may have made a common mistake in losing a small item at the hotel, but I wish they would have mailed it to me with an email response since they allowed me to leave my address for delivery at the front desk. Also, I'd strongly prefer it if night staff too had access to lost and found items by guests like myself coming back to reclaim them.
Last hotel of our tour with Newmarket. OK for one night. Rooms OK but been in better. Our meal was take it or leave it but it was edible unlike our meals in our Hotel in Garda. (Riva del Sole). Sharif who does everything from guiding in the coaches to serving and directing the staff as well as being the barman was a human dynamo. The only problem I had was setting up my bar bill to be charged to my room but reception sorted that out eventually.
Very good service, friendly helpful staff, good breakfast, clean and comfortable room! Shuttle bus to Verona and taxi or bus service too. Swimming pool was very clean . Easy distance to the airport, very happy with our stay here.

Dear Diane, thank you for your positive review, we are happy that everything was to your liking . Se you soon. Cristina Residori
This is the second time I've third time I've stopped at this hotel. I've alway found it clean and the staff are helpful. The breakfast is basic but there is plenty. The pool is small but nice to relax by after a long day traveling. It's close proximity to the airport is great and they offer a free shuttle bus. It's about €30 to the centre of Verona in a taxi.
We stayed here on the final night of a coaching holiday. The hotel needs modernising, one of the lifts wasn't working, the other lift couldn't cope with the arrival of our coaching party plus luggage. Our room was clean and comfortable enough and the food was ok but pretty unremarkable. Excellent staff, especially Sharif who was like a human dynamo, very helpful and efficient. We enjoyed using the lovely pool, especially as it was our last day. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere and purely functions as a convenient stopover near Verona Airport.
It is very dirty and terrible hotel that I have visited . We stayed there for two nights nouzhe collect things. This all old and falling apart . In komnatahnikto not removed . Under the bed, dirt and bits of fruit. In the bathroom, only shower gel, no shampoo . The room is home to many insects, there is a huge beetles . This hotel is a maximum of 2 stars . Do not come here . Breakfast is meager . Wife caught in a pie insect. Awful !
Found the only two good things the cleaning service, 100%, and breakfast 100%. No one talked to us and when we asked questions we had one sentence replies, at one point we were accused of not paying for two latte's, we were away the whole day this apparently happened. Also we were charged different prices for drinks and snacks on a daily basis. Very strange place won't be going back. Also careful when you ask for a menu, we had the piece of paper thrown to us.
such a terrible hotel can never be 4*! Each low level 3* could be better than thia hotel. Breakfast just like nothing, American black coffee ist cold, juice and tee are so cheap you can forget them! Air conditioners are soooo noise (nothing help by changing rooms - the same!)
Stayed here on a tour of Italy, only one night, but the best of the 3 we stayed at, food was excellent, had the best risotto ever as a starter room was massive, good view over the fields and hills at the front of the hotel, lively pool and pool area, nice sun beds etc worth a visit
Lovely hotel and spacious room. We were at the back of the hotel and there was a train line behind the hotel but the noise was minimal. We had a good night's sleep. The evening meal was very nice but the portions weren't very big. Breakfast was very good but no toast. Overall a very nice hotel and we would stay again. Ask for a room at the front of the hotel. This review is the same as President hotel because I put the wrong name to the review. It Isn't President hotel we stayed at but the Best Western in Lugagnano.
The hotel is situated at the edge of a very small quiet village, with a small number of bars. A railway line runs along the back of the hotel and although no trains run overnight they can be fairly noisy during the day. Unfortunately we had late Sunday afternoon pick-up from the hotel and with the restaurant being shut at lunch time we were forced to have bar snacks. These were not only very poor value they were also extremely poor quality and I can only assume that other reviewers who found the hotel an ideal stopover did not sample the bar snacks. Rooms were clean and comfortable but due to the lack of nearby facilities I would not recommend this hotel for any more than a short overnight stay.
The Moroccan in charge of seemingly everything is a great joy. He operates with humour and make things happen. Before you ask for something he has got it. WiFi good. Food spot on. Rooms clean and large. Nearby railway line creates some noise but not unreasonable.
This was a very pleasant hotel with good facilities, good food and good service. The pool was excellent but with the main railway less than 100 meters away it was noisy at times. The bedrooms were good and the railway and road did not interrupt our sleep. As part of a package holiday this was more than sufficient for a one night stop over before flying, the local good for killing time over a coffee.
My husband and I stayed at this Best Western in Verona, after spending the day in Venice. We wish we had more time to explore both Venice and Verona, but within our 2 week time frame, we didn't have enough time! We opted to stay in Verona to save a bit of money. We had a train pass, so it was very easy to take the train to and from Verona/Venice. We liked how clean the hotel was, and we did manage to try out the breakfast the next morning which was good. We did have to use the shuttle and then a taxi to get to and from the train station, but it wasn't a bad drive. The room was standard and comfortable for the night, and we had no issues. The staff was friendly. If you are trying to find an affordable, clean hotel in Verona, I would suggest looking up the Best Western!
Lovely hotel friendly staff and free bus into Verona in the mornings . Good rooms with air conditioning and nice breakfast but ask for hot water for tea . Coffee from flasks was awful . But they to hard if you ask for cappuccino
I booked a stay at BEST WESTERN Hotel Antico Termine while traveling by car in Northern Italy during late October 2015. Located in Sona, outside Verona, the hotel is easy accessible by car from E45 and E70 . There is no public transport from/to Verona but a shuttle bus service to Verona Airport is available. Free parking is available outside the hotel. I stayed in a room with two double beds facing the railroad passing on the back of the building. The track is in active service. I heard a few trains in the evening and early morning but was not disturbed during the night. I slept well throughout the night even though the bed seemed hard at first. My room as well as the rest of the establishment was clean and well kept. The complimentary Wifi had good service. The swimming pool is open for guest until late. A complimentary breakfast buffet was included in my rate. I especially liked the red orange juice. In order to get the best available rate, please book through bestwestern.com using discount code 01395270. A welcoming manager who could not do enough to make us feel right at home, nothing was of any trouble to him and his staff, excellent food and plenty of it. Breakfast was excellent again with plenty of choice, nice outdoor pool.
Stayed for 3 nights at the beginning and a further night at the end of the holiday. The room was basic and clean, although like the rest of the hotel is in need of refurbishment. The white towels were clean but grey. We opted for room with dinner included, but hadn't realised we would be restricted to a choice of 4 starters and 4 main courses from an already limted menu. The waiter was happy to accomodate when I asked for a salad for a starter, which was not one of the 4 choices. However, the food was acceptable with a reasonable choice for a continentel breakfast. The staff were very nice and friendlly and the service was very good. The pool area is good with a number of sun loungers. It should be noted that there is a main line railway very close by with trains passing regularly, but to be fair this did not bother us and we did not hear anything during the night. Other restuarants are available in lugagnano, but check opening times. This town is the nearest public transport, which will take some 20 minutes into the beautiful Verona. There is a free shuttle from the hotel into Verona, departure and return times are limted and you need to book in advance. We took the shuttle into Verona and the public transport for the return journey, we paid the bus driver, who was was very helpful and told us when we needed to get off and which way to walk back to the hotel.
Lovely hotel, staff were lovely, but only if you have a car, public transport is poor and finishes at 19.30 at night, if going for a meal or the opera in Verona then you would have to get a taxi back cost 20 to 30 euros
Everything was ok, there is Verona nearby and 20 minutes to Lago di Garda, there is shopping centre few minutes by car, restaurants... There is lot of to see few minutes from the hotel (by car) Everything was nice
The shower water temperature kept on changing from cold to hot continuously whilst taking a shower. The Air Conditioning was difficult to control.Bar doors open to the outside so not very comfortable to relax in.Otherwise well appointed rooms, tidy and clean.Courteous staff.
