"Very good place when the heating is working correctly at night"
jmLondon845, 13 Janvier 2024

This hotel is normally excellent, and we always booked it in the past, but this time we had a nice suite but the heating was not functioning properly and i got a cold. I could not sleep as the room was so cold, had to wear a jumper, my socks and a nightcap in my bed. In addition there was a noise coming from a ventilation outside our windows. I do not mind paying even double price for my suite but i want to feel comfortable in my room. The breakfast room was also freezing. Not good. The management needs to do something to remedy these issues.

"Sad experience"
yang j, 19 Novembre 2023

We couple arrived to this hotel at Sep.26 this year for two nights, The receptionist found us made double reservation, We both talked with the hotel duty manager, told her it is due to the network payment is not smooth, a double reservation occurred when we booking the hotel three month before. She refused to cancel one of the reservation and was extremely bad attitude and did not give us any other options. Then we talked with hotel headquarters. The result of communication with the hotel headquarters is that it could only obey the hotel's decision and cannot cancel the double booking. And then we just have to accept it. Hoping to exchange the small room for a bigger spare room, also refused. We fill sad and hope the others(you) don't be tricked by this hotel.

"Good hotel"
peter v, 06 Novembre 2023

Probably one of the nicest hotels in Lourdes. Staff friendly. Room nice ( but small ). Bathroom modern. We ate at the restaurant and the food was very nice and affordable, also the breakfast was nice . About 1 km from the basilic

"No service after hours "
VAQUERO1, 14 Octobre 2023

I was a bit disappointed with my stay at the Best Western in Lourdes. It was 12:15am and I couldn't get the bathroom light to turn off. There was no switch in the bathroom and I called reception but no answer. Then I went to use the phone in the hallway but no answer, so I went outside and called but the lady told me that it was 1:00am and I had to resolve it in the reception It was only 12:15am and I have been trying but there was no switch in the bathroom. That made me very disappointed in using Best Western in the future

"Disappointing. "
Michelle M, 10 Octobre 2023

Staff is very friendly and the hotel is in a good location. We thought we would be in the large hotel but instead we were in the Le Rive Droite. The room we were in the carpet is disgusting and the shower isn't much better. And the WiFi does not work. Very disappointed with this place.

"Would recommend to friends"
annmarie667, 02 Octobre 2023

From the moment I arrived I was treated very well, and my arriving earlier than the booking I made was sorted out very quickly. Booking.com had not told me that I would not be able to book in earlier and until I complained was going to leave it to the hotel to sort out. So would recommend booking through the hotel rather than booking.com. The reception and restaurant staff made sure I understood what had been arranged for me due to Booking.com's lack of contact. My luggage was put away in a storage cupboard for safety and I went to Lourdes for the day until I was to tired to do anything else, as I has arrived at 8 am rather than the later time I had previously arranged. My room was sorted out quickly and I was able to settle down and get some well earned rest. Hotel is great for its location as across the road from the main SNCF Lourdes Station, and the L5 bus route that goes to the sanctuary every day. Large continental breakfast, so if you want a fry up you need to go into Lourdes. All together a very pleasant and relaxed stay. Would book here again, and recommend to my friends.

"Great Lourdes railway hotel, open all year."
mab103, 11 Septembre 2023

A very pleasant hotel near the train station in Lourdes. Charming & spotless with a superb breakfast buffet, & excellent restaurant for dinner. Yolanda is a very helpful host, & stays open all year, which is rare in Lourdes. ………………………………..

"Superior in Every Way"
derek d, 28 Juillet 2023

We chose this hotel as our first stop in France. From check in to check out it exceeded our expectations. The location is close to the bus station for the short trip to the Grotto or you can walk there in a few minutes.(20) You are within walking distance of several good restaurants as we did or it seems the hotels is very good as it was busy every night we were there. The pool was a bonus as it was very hot this year and after the walk back from the Church it was very welcome. The room was quiet and provided everything necessary for an enjoyable visit.

"Oasis in Lourdes"
JOHN M, 15 Juillet 2023

I stayed at the BW property for 3 nights. It was an excellent choice for me and would highly recommend the hotel. The Duty Manager JB was amazing, really runs a tight ship. The day and evening staff realy know what they're doing. Pool was an added bonus.

"BW in Lourdes"
Christopher J, 08 Juillet 2023

This hotel is just across the street from the train station. The Grotto is just over a mile walk through town. Coming back is an uphill climb. Also at the train station is a bus stop. Familiarize yourself with the bus routes and it is just an euro/trip. The restaurant here is excellent, pricey but you get what you pay for. Breakfast is 16 euros/person. We opted for the breakfast because the hotel is a mile from town. Excellent selection of breakfast items, plus an egg poacher. Pay extra for the mountain view room. We didn't. The room was tiny and above the street. Not much traffic so not too loud. The staff seemed a bit stand-offish (snobby?) compared to other hotels we stayed at in France. The better your French the better off you will be I suppose.

"Do not recommend "
speechpath70458, 12 Juin 2023

Very close to train station but not anything else. As many reviewers mentioned, the rooms (at least some) are very small which didn't bother us. The room had a terrible musty mildew smell. The room looks very old and dated so maybe the old curtains, carpeting, etc are contributing to the awful smell. We noticed a leak in the bathroom when we returned late in the evening. Water was pooled on the floor, so we put towels down and notified the front desk in the morning. We returned in the afternoon, and the water and towels were gone. Later that night, brown water started dripping from the bathroom ceiling. We will notify the front desk in the morning and thankfully we will be checking out. Some rooms have been refurbished based on pictures in other reviews. I wouldn't even stay in a refurbished Room though. The terrible musty mildew smell is really irritating to my sinuses.

"Nice place to stay in Lourdes"
martinandmercedes, 08 Mars 2023

A pleasant, welcoming and helpful staff make this a nice place to stay while in Lourdes. It's a ten minute walk from the centre of town (opposite the railway station) but that ensures a quiet and peaceful atmosphere which may not be available in high season at more centrally-located hotels. Breakfast was ample and well presented - perhaps a little bit expensive for the choices available. Evening meal was very good.

"Look for Another Hotel in Lourdes"
O8089RJkarenw, 02 Février 2023

Super small rooms: hard to get around bed, cannot do much except watch small tv or read/forget having people visit room to socialize); carpet could be cleaner, shower not easy to work (mgr blamed me when I asked for assistance), evening restaurant food was too salty, heat didn't work understandably, felt cold, esp. at night), didn't feel safe walking around neighborhood in evening. Since restaurant food quite expensive, at least breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Mgr. unfriendly and quite rigid and unrealistic with policies: refused to refund an accidental double booking. Will stay elsewhere in Lourdes next time.

"Refusal of the hotel to repay breakfast charges of 140 Euros already pre-paid by Booking.com"
878graham, 09 Janvier 2023

My wife, myself and four year old boy went to this lovely hotel for four days. We have been three times before. It is very classy and sophisticated and we enjoy staying there. However we have now been extremely disappointed by the hotel completely blanking two e-mail and one phone call request to repay us 140 Euros charged for breakfast when this payment had already been made by Booking.com. The error was mine in that we were rushing to the airport and I paid the invoice without checking. However, as I say, considering we had written good reviews and been good customers on three occasions before the management have obviously no intention of repaying the money that they have incorrectly taken. It is especially strange because the Front of Office Manageress is a lady who has been there 20 years and she exudes integrity and efficiency. THAT she has totally blanked us does not sit well with us. I would warn all future visitors to this hotel that, as you would expect with anything to do with the travel industry, if you make a mistake, you will be punished comprehensively and without any hint of mercy. We SHALL NOT BE RETURNING and since we visit Lourdes every year this is a loss of good business to them that clearly they care little about. Good Luck to them. Booking.com have chased this and remarkably they have a coherent procedure for so doing but I cannot raise Booking.com either to chase up. Oh how I love dealing with travel companies.

"No Refund Policy "
tomneehaul, 31 Octobre 2022

We booked this hotel for our trip to Lourdes. Unfortunately Covid was at its peak and the borders were closed. The hotel was also closed. We tried to rebook or claim a refund but after a call to the manager we were told that it was not hotel policy to refund. So we lost our £370. Read the T&Cs carefully before booking or risk losing your money.

"Very enjoyable stay"
FH60353, 29 Septembre 2022

We enjoyed our four night stay here so much that we added a fifth night! We were lucky with the room we were allocated. It was a bit small but the bathroom was a good size and we had a small balcony with a wonderful view. Everything was very clean. All the staff were pleasant and helpful. We really enjoyed eating in the restaurant most nights. I just wish the pool was heated, I would have used it far more.

"Close to train station. Super tiny room. Multiple annoyances. Staff needs improvement. "
cqfp123, 25 Septembre 2022

Stayed two nights. The hotel is very close to the train station (less than 5 min walk) and relatively quiet. The room is SUPER small - you can barely walk around the bed, there isn't even space to put your suitcase on the luggage rack. Comfortable bed and pillows. Room amenities include an electric kettle and packets of instant coffee. Very small bathroom. Minimal toiletries (liquid soap and soap.bar). Tiny shower, good water pressure. Average wifi. A number of annoyances (which could be easily fixed) make the stay less pleasant: - The hotel's own website and the reservation confirmation state that check-in time is noon. However, check-in time is actually 16:00 (later than average). When I mentioned the wrong check-in time to the staff, they didn't care. The website should list the correct check-in time, and it should be no later than 15:00, as it is in most places. - The room had only ONE electrical outlet (plus one in the bathroom), which is grossly inadequate. - On day 2 the key card didn't work (even though it had been nowhere near my cell phone), which required a trip to thhe front desk (see below). Key cards should be programmed for the duration of a guest's stay. - Very slow check-out: 5-6 minutes per guest! This is in part due to the city tax, which is charged separately at departure. Why isn't it charged at the same time as the room? - The front desk is almost always unattended, and the staff doesn't respond promptly even after one rings the bell multiple times. This just doesn't cut it, especially when the trip to the front desk is due to their failure to program the key card properly.

"One day in Lourdes"
bacca86, 17 Septembre 2022

We called several time at the reception and no one is answered ,we wait 2 hours more because our room wasn't ready ,the room is stinky and old , the only positive note is the restaurant that is good, is not too close at the sanctuary how aspected but in 9-10 min walk I'll be there

"Enjoyed our stay at BW Hotel BeauSejour Lourdes"
quicktravel, 04 Août 2022

We just got back from a trip to France and stayed two nights at the BW BeauSejour. My husband and I had an excellent experience. While the hotel is not as close to the Sanctuary, we appreciated being away from the hustle and bustle downtown. We walked to the Sanctuary when the shuttle was not available, due to the Tour De France taking off one morning, and it was only about a 15 minute walk. The hotel was very comfortable, very clean and well maintained. The receptionist was extremely helpful and we enjoyed our dinners very much at Le Parc! Also, if you are taking the train from Paris, you can walk from the train station to the hotel as it is practically across the street and we appreciated that very much! No noise from the train station!! Will definitely stay there again if we get back to Lourdes!!

"What a super discovery"
zigzag2, 28 Juillet 2022

I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and wish I had booked it for a lot longer. It's a great hotel, not too large, not too small and the service is absolutely incredible – from the owner (who is on the premises from morning to evening), the receptionist (who responded to my many mails faster than any other hotel I've stayed at), and the dining room staff and the cleaning staff who could not do enough for one. Always so helpful and so cheerful even when they were run off their feet. They all spoke various languages so no guests were left embarrassed. The hotel is a little removed from the manic hustle and bustle that is Lourdes and that was so very welcome. Easy enough to find it you walk along the river and just as you make a left, there it is. There's also a bus stop about 3 minutes from the front door and there appears to be a lot of parking opposite - though I didnt have a car so not sure if it had to be paid for. Plentiful buffet breakfast and, as I had half board, the most delicious meals at a 3-course dinner. So, in addition to everyone/everything else, they also have a very good chef. And well-priced wines. Not like other hotels who put huge mark-ups on everything. The hotel is extremely reasonably priced altogether and so no wonder that the other residents I spoke to had been returning every year for a pretty long time and staying for weeks and even months. The weather was a little hotter than people would have liked but who can legislate for that? Better certainly than wet and cold. I hope to go back to Lourdes some time and without a doubt will stay at the Esplanade-Eden again. I was so delighted to find a place like that by chance. What a treasure.

"Lourdes Stay"
davejsmythe, 12 Juillet 2022

During our visit to Lourdes we stayed here and found that hotel to be very well presented, the rooms immaculately clean and staff very friendly and helpful. It had a lovely pool which was very refreshing after a long trip and was in an excellent position for the various sites. Highly recommended as just off the regular travel route with free parking.

"Just Fantastic!"
W3096LOtonyp, 22 Juin 2022

Fantastic hotel with very friendly staff. Recent room restoration on 2nd floor very clean and modern. Great shower and very comfortable beds. Lovely evening meal and a good Breakfast selection. Ample parking. Would I stay again ?? DEFINITELY ******

"GFNY Lourdes"
364didier, 14 Juin 2022

Enjoyed our one week stay for our cycling vacation and participation in the GFNY event. Loved the functional and clean rooms and enjoyed the services of all staff. The restaurant is good but chouce is limited for an entire week. No problems though as plenty of options are available on walking distance.

"Can highly recommend this hotel"
Traveller60London, 13 Juin 2022

We stayed here 4 nights in May. The lady at the reception was always very friendly, including allowing us to check in one hour early, at 3pm instead of 4pm as our room was ready. The room was nicely decorated with a small private balcony, which was not big enough for a table and chairs. Both the room and the bathroom had nice "old-fashioned" radiators. The ones in the bathroom were handy for drying and warming up the towels. The only toiletry provided was a bottle of shampoo attached to the wall. At one point the shampoo in the bathroom run out, we informed the reception and a lady came in and replaced it. There was an empty mini fridge in the room, a kettle and some teas and coffees which were replaced daily. They brought us one 500 ml bottle of mineral per day. The fridge did not reach a temperature much lower than the room temperature but was still useful. We had two dinners at their restaurant Le Parc. The food was good, the service was good and the wine list was reasonably priced. The hotel is situated in an old tastefully renovated and decorated building and had nice high ceilings downstairs. There was a swimming pool with lounge chairs in the garden plus some tables and chairs. The garden was beautiful with a statue of a bear. Once we enjoyed the beautiful afternoon by having a couple of beers in the garden. This is a good hotel with good service, deserving of its' 4-star rating. If we go back to Lourdes, we will stay there again.

"A sure hit if you stay ok Lourdes , just book in advance as room are limited, have dinner at the garden in summer"
Mikeldekeijzer888, 09 Juin 2022

It's the second time I stay at this wonderful property absolutely enchanting, well taken care of exclusive and very homey, the owner mr Martin Pascal is a great host and will make every possible effort to make your stay a great one , will surely come back from the Philippines as soon as I can Also miss Sara at the restaurant is very kind and accommodating specially in recommending good food and wine , her gin n' tonic is fabulous!!!

"Beautiful hotel, friendly staff"
Q1953TOvickyp, 23 Mai 2022

The moment you walk through the main door you are greeted with exquisite artwork and the character this building has is immense. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Frederick is a great man! He made our stay welcoming and was so helpful and cheerful. A pleasure to have met him. The restaurant food was extremely delicious and looked beautiful in the plate.

"Nice stay"
marron222, 13 Mai 2022

The hotel has been recently renovated and it really looks lovely with nice bedrooms and bathrooms ,lovely dining room and lounges and a back garden with stunning views. The breakfast unfortunately is nothing to write home about.Definitely not worth what you pay for it.

"Superb hotel, ideally located for a visit to Lourdes"
wednesdayschild69, 05 Mai 2022

Great location close to the station and only 15 minutes walk to the Grotto. We arrived here to a friendly and warm welcome. Our room - 317 - was well appointed and immaculate. I particularly appreciated the coffee machine after a long journey. I don't think I've ever stayed in an hotel that was as spotlessly clean throughout. I didn't see a speck of dust or paint chip anywhere! The lounge and restaurant are beautifully decorated and there is a terrace outside where we sat with our drinks and enjoyed a great view of the mountains. Every member of staff that we encountered was friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend this hotel for a stay in Lourdes.

"Great location fabulous receptionist. Huge evening meals"
janetwhitechapel, 13 Mars 2022

Skip the half board as meals very repetitive Great breakfast. Very clean. Lovely shower. No advantage in booking directly as I hoped. So use a booking service The location is perfect for public transport to the mountains and surrounding towns

"Excellent hotel for Lourdes"
jmLondon845, 10 Décembre 2021

We have been staying at this Hotel for many years. The rooms are quiet and clean and the service is good. Moreover there is a large parking which is very convenient. The restaurant Le Park is also nice. Two comments to help improve a little the place. The Central Heating must be switch on earlier during the winter season as the AC is not enough, and the WIFI system problems must imperatively be solved as we spent our time reconnecting. The management is great and nice, this deserve a mention.

"Everything was great at this hotel"
ramblingma, 24 Août 2021

Our stay at this hotel exceeded expectations..........our room had recently been renovated and had a large bathroom with "rain shower", magnifying make up mirror, etc.. Windows well insulated as no traffic noise was audible. Common parts of the establishment were tastefully decorated with pleasing personal touches. Very good restaurant with excellent food and wine list. Our evening meals were taken on the outside terrace, overlooking the pretty gardens and pool. All staff were pleasant and professional, including the welcoming receptionist at check in and the restaurant employees. Free car parking and well located - close to the centre of town and with views of surrounding mountains. Everything was clean and well thought out in this hotel. Excellent value for money!

"Better standard than most US BW hotels"
ronny256, 23 Juillet 2021

It is very clean hotel. Fair walk from the grotto, but not too bad. Rooms are decent size. Buffet breakfast was very good. Wifi was ok. Not like any BW motel I stayed in US. I would stay here again. Very nice and friendly staff. Their English was not very good. That is really the only negative. France is the only country in Europe where it is not super easy to get by knowing English.

"Best Hotel in Loudes"
LAM487, 05 Juillet 2021

There are so many positive comments to make about this hotel: 1. First, thanks for giving us credit to return 1 year later after we had to cancel our plan the previous year due to Covid. 2. Hotel pool excellent on a summer day. 3. Room: so nice, large, clean and modern. Thanks for the fridge. 4. Nice dining within the hotel. Also, other options close by. 5. Staff excellent I would recommend this hotel to anyone and I would gladly stay there again, were I to return. Thanks.

"Very good all round"
Excursion36325856248, 22 Juin 2021

Charming hotel, well situated in Lourdes. Our first room was extremely small but they kindly upgraded us for our 2nd night to a more spacious room. Impeccably clean with comfortable bedding. The black out curtains don't black out though so it was light very early in the morning and woke me up. Nice views and really warm welcome from the staff , who were very accommodating. Breakfast was a little basic with no hot food/eggs on offer. The wifi didn't work in our room/s. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

"Perfect location, rooms and service"
jmLondon845, 12 Octobre 2020

This is the hotel were we love to stay when we are in Lourdes. The rooms are beautiful, especially the suites 301 and 317 were we have been staying. Everything is clean and well organized. There is absolutely no noise and the view on mountains is stunning in the morning. The service is efficient and very friendly. Going to the grotto takes a few minutes by car or walking. Essential in Lourdes, there is a nice parking and also an excellent restaurant. The best in Lourdes. My opinion as a traveller.

"A wonderful hotel in Lourdes."
dcheasman, 23 Septembre 2019

My wife & I arrived at the Best Western Hotel BeauSejour Lourdes without any reservation. The girl at check-in was very helpful and gave us a lovely room with a view of the town and its surrounding hills. The room had also recently been refurbished. The bed was very comfortable and all the furnishings seemed to be of good quality. We had trouble trying to work out how to use the bath & shower taps but this was a minimal issue. All in all, a wonderful room. The hotel had the feel of a four star hotel rather than a three and we throughly enjoyed our stay. We would definitely stay here again.

"Excellent"
john h, 13 Septembre 2019

The hotel was exactly as described. The room was correct in size, spotlessly clean and comfy. The welcome was quick and efficient. The decor everywhere is very good. The little 'quirky furnishings' add a touch of pleasure. The restaurant was exceptionnal - the diner (menu 37euros) was divine. We could not have done better anywhere. The wine we were recommeneded was delicious (we asked for white/local/demi sec). We chose the breakfast express as it suits us, the fresh orange juice was lovely, the pain au chocolate was fresh and delicious. Hueg tankyou to the team in the kitchen - wonderful meal. For those seeking the grotte - 1km easy walk. The location of the hotel just off the town centre makes it peaceful.

"Very pleasant hotel with excellent, friendly and personable service"
ADSFyH, 26 Août 2019

Friendly staff, pleasant and attentive, even for unusual demands. Very good rooms. And very good food, which is particularly appreciated in the area. Close to station but quiet nonetheless. I recommend it wholeheartedly.

"Oldy but Goody!"
2C2_travel, 21 Août 2019

Hotel is just down the street from the train station. We took a weekend trip from Paris. Hotel is older but tastefully furnished and decorated. Very respectable and clean. Nice terrace and pool. We were given 2 rooms for a family of 5. One of our rooms was larger with 2 sinks and a tub. Water leaked from the tub doors when taking a shower. Super helpful receptionist. Breakfast was pricey at 12 euros for just continental but it was convenient. 10 to 15 minute walk to the Grotto.

"WONDERFUL STAY AT IN HOTEL BEAUSEJOUR"
nekkiblok, 15 Août 2019

this is our 13th year (my mom chandra blok and i nekki).it is now quite elegant with the lovely updgrades done to the rooms very cozy, quite charming, understated ,subtle elegance all thruout, very close to the bus and railway station, can walk to the sanctuary as well. very clean and spotless.God willing hope to go again. This is the best in lourdes ,especially due to the dedicated ,polite and courteous ,loving caring attention given by Mr Martin and Ms Bire and the entire staff during our stay. I would not trade this hotel for anything. Thank You so very much Mr Martin and Ms Bire. (for all the help shown to both my mom and i, we have no words except) may god bless you all. merci beaucoup.!!!!!!!

"Pleasant Stay"
LKrzmarzick, 10 Août 2019

As a first-timer to Lourdes, arriving late on the last train, I was pleased that the hotel was a quick, short walk from the train station. The room was surprisingly small (by U.S. standards), but comfortable and I had no complaints. Breakfast was delightful. The walk to the sanctuary is nearly a mile (1.5km), but very scenic with awesome views of the Pyrenees. The front desk was very kind, loaning me a much-needed umbrella for the day. I would definitely stay here again.

"Excellent location "
annmareeg2013, 04 Août 2019

This hotel is beautifully presented and located just down the street from the railway station and a walkable distance from the sanctuary. The check in was quick and easy. The room was a good size. We only had breakfast once as it was quite a let down, we arrived around 9.15am and there was not much left to choose from and the staff were too busy cleaning up to replenish supplies. A lovely hotel and I would stay again.

"Excellent hotel"
Steve E, 03 Août 2019

Stayed 10 nights. Woken up one night around midnight by couple talking inconsiderately in corridor but otherwise found the place quiet. Air conditioned - a life saver in the 30+ temperatures they had to endure. The room was small but had sufficient cupboard space. The shower was a bit small but it was good enough. Breakfast had all you could wish for. I especially enjoyed the impomptu course by one helpful member of staff on egg hardnesses. A central location - very handy for the station and the centre of town - parking was no problem.

"Fabulous hotel"
Mrs6dogs, 03 Août 2019

I've lost count of how many times I've stayed at this hotel but it never disappoints. The hotel is slightly away from the centre of Lourdes, a 10 minute walk, but for me this is a plus as it's very quiet, peaceful and relaxing. I always have a room facing the gardens, as I enjoy the mountain view. The hotel is spotlessly clean, the housekeeping staff are fantastic, the rooms are well appointed with all you might need, hairdryer, safe, shampoo etc and the beds are super comfortable. Since I was last here the hotel has been refurbished and the upgraded bathrooms are superb! A real improvement.... larger and enjoying a walk in waterfall shower though pls note, no bath. The refurb has updated and refreshed the hotel though it still retains its character. The breakfasts are continental, but there is a great choice. I usually eat dinner in the hotel and the food is fresh and of a high standard, my only suggestion would be the addition of a few vegetarian dishes, though the chef always bends over backwards to cook me something fresh to accommodate my large array of food allergies and vegetarian preference. The garden is lovely and tranquil, with a very nice pool area and a view of the Pyrenees, like the hotel it is immaculate. I highly recommend The Beausejour for all of the aforementioned reasons, plus its great value for money. The owner Pascale and his director of operations Jolanda are just the nicest people, their attention to detail is incredible and they and their staff could not be more helpful, hospitable and eager to ensure an enjoyable stay. An absolutely superb hotel.

"a four-day stay in Lourdes"
paulette G, 02 Août 2019

Excellent in all aspects...from the staff down to the quality of the room and meals served! When we arrived in Lourdes late at night, the receptionist was welcoming and showed us our first room. It was quite small and had a bath instead of a shower. I asked to have another room for one with a shower. We had a bigger room the next day with a shower...and of course there was an additional fee of 20 euros per night to it. But the room was newly renovated, more spacious and had a shower instead of a bath. The location isn't far from the shrine as we came here not only to do touristing but to be on a pilgrimage as well. I wouldl greatly recommend this hotel. Kudos to the staff and management.

"Good Location"
grstoward, 01 Août 2019

As with most Best Western hotels, this one does not disappoint. Unfortunately the room we had was quite small and difficult to handle two suitcases, there was a most comfortable bed with great pillows. Bathroom was satisfactory with a hand held shower nozzle fitted. Good WIFI. Nice lawn area around the outside pool. Pleasant and helpful staff. No fridge in room. Quite good air con. French doors open to a good size balcony which assists with having a small room.

"Ideal place to stay when traveling to Lourdes for an overnight"
jamie177r, 08 Avril 2019

Very close to the train station and a few minutes walk to Lourdes Sanctuary. An ideal place to stay. Customer service was great. Delicious place to eat as well; they have a restaurant right down stairs next to the lobby that serves great food, which was very convenient.

"Beautiful Best Western in Lourdes near the Gare"
Karen S, 28 Mars 2019

The rooms and beds were very comfortable. The restaurant was divine. Breakfast could have used more variety, but it was off season, so it was understandable. Staff were courteous and helpful. Easy access to the sanctuary.

"Good Deal"
marcfitch, 27 Mars 2019

This was one of the lower priced hotels we stayed at while in France. However, for the price it is a great hotel. The rooms were nice new and clean. Typical European size, smaller than in America but comfortable. If you are driving it has convenient free parking. It is a little bit of a walk to the center of Lourdes, which may be a slight drawback for some but for us it was nice since you are not in the middle of the tourist area. It is hard to beat this hotel for value and comfort.

"Excellent hotel"
Denise M, 11 Février 2019

We stayed here for 2 nights in January 2019 in a Privilege Queen Room, a modern room on the 3rd floor with a nice view of the town from the bedroom and the bathroom. It was one of their renovated rooms, and we thought it was a very comfortable hotel. Our room was lovely and warm, and the bathroom was bright and new, with plenty of room to put things, and a large heated towel rail. The wifi was excellent. We appreciated the thoughtful touches such as automatically operating night lights to guide you to the bathroom if you got up during the night, the tea and coffee facilities, and the shelves. The room was adequate rather than large, with only one suitcase stand, but then the price was moderate and commensurate with this. If you want plenty of room, book something larger. We had dinner in the restaurant both nights, and found the service quick and efficient and the meals delicious. The breakfast buffet was also very good.

"Beautiful location"
EnglishKnight74, 16 Janvier 2019

Clean and with immaculate ambience when you create it. Well managed hotel but the staff are not well trained and require some mental health support. The women in the lift was reassuring one morning after the behaviour of a member of staff. She works 24/7, effortlessly and with a consistent polite tone. Exceptional.

"Love this hotel"
Redshoes1234, 15 Janvier 2019

Really good hotel very clean & food & wine extremely good. We visit twice a year when travelling through France.only ever stay there too good to miss..............will be back in April 2019!! The staff are helpful too.

"Best place to stay in Lourdes"
Viahera777, 07 Janvier 2019

We were only in Lourdes for two nights and one day for our family pilgrimage. This hotel had the perfect location and served delicious meals. More importantly, the rooms were clean and reasonable priced. My husband's father had difficulty walking and the hotel, being just right across the train station, has helped us a lot when it came to mobility, most especially because we took the earliest train to Paris after. It was also within walking-distance to the Sanctuary of our Lady of Lourdes. Food at the hotel was reasonably-priced and very delicious. I say, this hotel was just perfect and should we go back for a pilgrimage of my side of the family, we will definitely book this hotel again.

"Perfect location, service and rooms"
jmLondon845, 12 Novembre 2018

Another stay at this hotel that we love. They now have two brand-new suites which are spacious and elegant, that makes the stay even more enjoyable. The service is always absolutely perfect from start to finish and we just felt like in a cocoon. Everything clean and quiet as we like. Perfect.

"hotel fine..restaurant very good"
JDLondonGal, 25 Octobre 2018

we have stayed here on two occasions two different years. Rooms vary in size so just be clear what you require. We stayed in one of the smaller rooms once and honestly it is what you might expect in Europe. Very clean, very compact.. What comes to mind, quickly however is the excellent customer service. The staff works very hard. some do "double-duty" to keep the place going. They have on both occasions been exceptional. Second time there, I was a bit under the weather. We came in a bit late for lunch but the staff made sure I had some hot soup and a superior salad. While husband was at confession, I took a break in the front sitting area. Staff came over with tea for me and asked if I needed assistance. We plan in 2019 to return and will certainly stay here and have at least a meal here.

"Terrible Breakfast Experience"
noelfitzpatrick1, 27 Septembre 2018

Extremely rude breakfast staff ruined our stay. Our room was very small, it was like a double bed in a single room. Upon arrival at breakfast at 9.20 am the staff lady greeted my wife and I with a hard look at her watch as if to indicate we were late for breakfast but breakfast was until 10am so we arrived in plenty of time! She did not say good morning, she was extremely rude and she reluctantly brought us to our table. When we went to the self service cereal counter there was only one bowl of cereal left, we asked the lady for more but she said there was none. This should not happen in any hotel, completely unacceptable. When you pay for breakfast , you expect the breakfast options to be available. It was very clear that the breakfast staff were trying to clear the breakfast counter early. As we got no cereal , we then ordered our hot food but once again there was not enough toast, only 2 slices......we asked for more and again with disgust and a stinking attitude the lady reluctantly got us more toast. As we tried to eat our breakfast there was another lady clearing tables and in doing so she was purposely making as much noise as she could. There was plates banging every second, even another guest on the table next to us jumped with the fright of the banging that was going around us. The 2 staff members were completely unprofessional and we could not enjoy our breakfast as they were on a mission rush us out. Then the air conditioning was put on , another way to get us out of the room, it was a damp day in Lourdes and there was no need for the air con. Then at 9.50 am as we just put down our cutlery , the lady said your finished breakfast and a man came over and took our plates away in a flash, again we felt that we had to leave the breakfast room before we had a chance to swallow our last bite. We decided the next day to have breakfast in the train station, a much more enjoyable breakfast away from unpleasant, unhelpful rude staff. Your staff need to be retrained in customer service and learn to be respectful to all customers no matter what age or nationality the customer is. We will not be recommending your hotel to fellow travellers.

"Food is ok but service is terrible"
donotfeedthebears, 29 Août 2018

I am forced to put a terrible review because I was shocked by the attitude of the owners. The waiter inadvertently poured the whole glass of red wine on the table, covering myself and my 20-month baby (heads and t-shirts). Let's be honnest, these things happen and the trainee-waiter immediately burst into tears (it was the second time of the day, we learnt) Everybody at the table and even neighbouring tables comforted him. It is annoying but it happens. What shoked me was that we were never offered anything in compensation. They never proposed anything to clean our shirts so we had to cope by ourselves. We were not offered any rebate on the bill and even worse, we were billed for the glass of wine and a dessert we never had!! Come on guys! We are in a touristic place and you have a decent restaurant. But this is unacceptable.

"A truly delicious place to stay in Lourdes!"
Birger K, 28 Juin 2018

Positive: Absolutely everything! This was a last-minute booking change, and after seeing the property we immediately opted for another night. Small, but very tasteful room with a big terrace, absolutely gorgeous food in the restaurant - perfect!! The proximity of the train station is no problem at all, on the contrary. Negative: Really, there's nothing to write here! Currently, on-site charging possibilities for electric cars are not offered, but the very friendly General manager, Mr Martin, informed us that this would shortly change. For the time being, a public charging station is situated only a few meters away.

"excellent service and location"
lalamoose64, 19 Mai 2018

Lourdes France is a beautiful city . This Hotel has grace and style and true French Hospitality. Don't let the “Best Western” part of there name keep you away. Location is near the train station easy you can walk with your bags ! It is close enough to The Cathedral and baths but away from the tourist shops. Shops are typical Tourist shops but hunt for the speciality hand blown glass jewelry shop.

"Quality hotel in Lourdes"
Mascigab13, 04 Avril 2018

I had the possibility to stay one night at this hotel, just before Easter. The location is perfect if you arrive by car or by train as just opposite the station. Hotel provided with a parking lot. The size of the room is quite small and the bathroom very tiny... this is the negative aspect. Breakfast was not included (12 Euro per person). But it's a nice and clean hotel and if i go back to Lourdes i will go back to this one.

"A perfectly located hotel which offers comfy nights sleep!"
Lorraine C, 03 Janvier 2018

My boyfriend & I stayed here for a long weekend for my Birthday in Dec 2017. This hotel is just five minutes walk to the Holy Grotto & is very close to local amenities, shops, bars & restaurants. A very modern & very clean hotel. Our room had a private roof terrace & had a very comfortable double bed which was perfect for a good nights rest after a day of walking & siightseeing. Also had a flat screen tv & tea & coffee facilities in the room. Would recommed this hotel & would stay the again.

"Great choice"
EmilyO71, 28 Décembre 2017

Good value for money and surprisingly a very cute hotel, exceeded expectations. We enjoyed their breakfast and dinner. Quality food. Conveniently located across the train station. As we had to catch an early train, lucky there was a coffee shop (good priced too) adjacent to the station. Couldn't have picked a better hotel in Lourdes.

"Always a pleasure to go back to this place"
jmLondon845, 27 Novembre 2017

The hotel is quiet and well located with a large parking and a direct access to the railways station and the Grotto. The service is excellent and the room comfortable but in need of refurbishment, which is what we were told by the Manager they are planning to do this year. Then this will be absolutely perfect for us as we enjoy our stay at this Hotel every time to go back to Lourdes. See you hopefully next year.

"Compact rooms"
Jane_Phill_V, 26 Novembre 2017

Agree with most of the comments about small rooms although ours was comfortable but comparable to budget hotel size. Very clean and adequate for our one-night stay but think it would have felt cramped for much longer. Although compact there was space in the bathroom for a larger shower which would have been appreciated. Not sure why there was such a small TV on the wall which was the one place that had plenty of space. Overall a comfortable stay. Sound insulation not so good and could hear all the plumbing from nearby bedrooms, particularly when they were using showers. The Wifi was good and the staff were particularly helpful; however, would we stay again? Doubtful

"Nice stay"
MaryKay R, 10 Novembre 2017

Arrived at night, desk clerk was also bartender and very accommodating. Based on webpage reserved a triple room, which was really no bigger than double. Double street view was preferred to triple small window. Plenty of room, wished they had more coffee /tea in room since we were jet lagged and missed breakfast, stayed 3 days. Worked very well for us.

"Cheap, Cheerful & a real delighful"
Mel_G3040, 10 Octobre 2017

Stayed 2 nights, triple share room Great locations across from the train station. Has a small elevator so made getting cases to the room easy. The room was oddly shaped & the bathroom was almost as big as the actual room, however it was comfortable & the beds offered all a good night sleep. Restaurant down stairs we ate both night for dinner & had sensational French food. Highly recommend the onion soup, was extremely disappointed (along with a lot of locals) that it had sold out on the second night. Overall good experience at this hotel

"Excellent hotel, good location"
Chainring, 08 Octobre 2017

This hotel is across from the train station, which is not normally where you'd expect to find an excellent hotel, but the Beausejour is the exception. It has an old world charm, friendly staff, a good restaurant, and it offers free parking which is a big plus in this very busy town. It also has the benefit of being very easy to find - just follow the "SNCF Gare" signs to the train station if you arrive by car. All the sights of Lourdes are within easy walking distance. Highly recommended.

"Worthwhile stay"
911Visitor, 02 Octobre 2017

We stayed here two nights and really liked the place. Staff was friendly, professional, and accommodating. Facility was clean, well appointed, and just overall very nice. Our room was good sized with two separate baths, one w/shower-tub. Elevator was small but very modern and always ready for us. We ate in the restaurant both mornings for breakfast and both evenings for dinner. We were very pleased with all 4 visits. Our breakfast was included with the room. We did not use the pool, but it looked fine. Would highly recommend, but keep this in mind...hotel is in the upper part of the city and the holy sites are in the lower part. If you are on foot, it's a long walk uphill after. My wife has mobility issues so we rented a scooter for her to get around.

"Gem of hotel with fantastic team."
Khonsu, 21 Septembre 2017

The hotel as many have said is directly opposite the railway station but far enough away to not hear any trains. We caught the bus from the airport, right outside arrivals, which runs hourly, to across the road from the hotel for 2 euros each.the We stayed for four nights and had the perfect stay. On attempting rudimentary French, with assistance of Google Translator (a must), the receptionist, in perfect English, kindly put me out of my stuttering misery. We were checked in within minutes. The lift is fantastically small which we only used to send the luggage up to the first floor. We were in 109 which was a "Superior" and easily big enough. It had a separate room for the toilet and another for the bathroom (shower above bath). The bathroom had patio doors which opened (to a balcony over looking the road),bathroom also had hairdryer. The bedroom had double doors as well. A lovely room. A pity the tv only had BBC World Service and CNN in English but I blame the French Freeview rather than the hotel. Room had safe, tea/coffee etc and enough plug sockets. Free wifi that you just have to sign in for every 24 hours. Easy. We had breakfast at 12 euros. Typical continental type choices, nothing wildly exciting but set you up for the day. Again the team there are fantastic. Location, just be aware it is up a low gradient hill from the Gav for about a quarter of a mile, which was never an issue for us but the less mobile may find it tiring at the end of a long day. You felt like you were in a French hotel and we would return.

"Nice hotel"
Marsh2, 31 Août 2017

Stayed here 2 nights with family in August. Hotel is right across the street from the train station and the Sanctuary is only a 15 minute walk away. Rooms are small but well-kept. Hotel is clean and contemporary. Breakfast choices were adequate. Would definitely stay here again when we come back to Lourdes.

"Right place,right service"
mikeamigo4, 03 Août 2017

The location was perfect, as noted by other guests. Staff was very helpful and hospitable. Easy walking distances to everywhere. Cetainly our destination next time in Lourdes. Dinning room and menu choices, very good. Not Paris, but the pricesaren't Paris either.

"good deal, prime location"
harry c, 30 Juillet 2017

The Best West Western BeauSejour was a great deal across the street from the train station. A 2 Euro bus fare from the airport to the train station then across the street and you're ready to check-in and start enjoying Lourdes. Nice rooms and very friendly and helpful staff. Will certainly stay here again.

"Perfect for Dwarfs & Hamsters"
AndyTydings, 15 Juillet 2017

The rooms are so small it's astounding. The En-Suite was equally as bad. Couldn't wash my legs without being half in and half out the shower! Good breakfast selection, and very polite staff. Bar closed at 11pm, had to go next door.

"Philly Family Vacation in Lourdes "
Nikko A, 06 Juillet 2017

The hotel is visible from the train station. We're a family of five and they gave us a nice room that accommodated all of us. The room was quite small but had a strong air conditioner. The hotel is a ten minute walk to the grotto. There are empty of restaurants between the hotel and grooto. Pascal, the General Manager, was very nice and ensured we had a great stay. Ani, a staff member was so sweet and kind that she helped us print our boarding passes. I definitely recommend this hotel to everyon

"Great stay, great price"
bobby911, 03 Juillet 2017

About 1km out of Lourdes centre which is good for peace and quiet. The car park beside the hotel is free. Reception staff were friendly and spoke English. The room was clean, modern and bright however very small as was the shower room. If you move about too much in the shower your body will turn the shower off (we're not overweight either). There is a small flat screen tv and a room safe. Would stay again despite the room/shower size. Great value. Gave only 4 stars due to size of room and shower. Didn't eat or drink in the hotel.

"Nice hotel a little far"
VIvian S, 02 Mai 2017

The hotel is very nice and very clean. A little far from the sanctuary of Lourdes. The room is tiny, tiny but very clean. Service at the front desk was good when we needed to call a cab back to the airport.

"Comfortable bed"
UlverstonJanet, 21 Avril 2017

We stayed here for one night and the room was adequate. It was sparsely furnished for what had been described as a superior room. It was also very small. The bed though was very comfortable but we were disturbed when the coaches left in the morning, there was noise from rooms above and the corridor. Breakfast was very nice and there was enough choice.

"Misjudged the Fawlty opening service"
Val A, 16 Avril 2017

Arrived tired, hungry and grumpy, quiet the standard disposition for a middle aged man. Man on reception, spots my entrance. I feel he ignores me and continues to help and console some lost soul for the next ten minutes. I look at wife, she looks to me, eyes to heaven. Despite several attempts to make myself seen, louder, bigger, and noiser, the telephone conversation goes on and on. Perhaps he is talking directly to the Pope, I muse, after all it is Lourdes. Anyway, temper rising. Relax, you are here to reflect and review. Patience is a virtue. Make up my mind here we go this is going to be a disaster, receptionist is ignorant, and annoying. WRONG, WRONG, WRONG. The man behind the reception was very friendly, professional, good natured and helpful. The room was functional small, clean and appropriate. Indeed, the staff are excellent, professional, with a positive dispositions. The breakfast is solid and filling, even if the egg boiler presents timing challenges for us middle aged men. The location is excellent across the road and close to the grotto. This hotel offers good value for money with a helpful, friendly staff. Give it a go. I will return.

"Great location, small but clean rooms; dismal customer service"
Jennifer E, 22 Mars 2017

The location is directly in front of the train station and a short walk to the downtown area and a comfy 15-minute walk to the Sanctuary / Grotto. The room is small but clean and adequate. I am giving it 3 stars only because customer service is lacking. When I checked in around 7pm, I had to wait some 10 minutes because there was no one at the reception. I stayed for 2 nights and it seems that this is normal -- at night I rarely see a person at the reception desk. When traveling, it is the little things that make the trip memorable or annoying. Unfortunately, the hotel's stingy policy really became annoying: - I am a Best Western gold member so I have stayed at numerous BW hotels all over the world, and this hotel is the most stingy thus far. I asked for an extra instant coffee packet on my second night at the hotel and I was refused, because they said it is only given as a welcome gift on the first day! I wasn't asking for 5 or 10 Nescafe packets! How much is an instant coffee packet anyway? 10 cents? 20 cents? I can't believe how stingy this hotel is. I have stayed at other comparable hotels with an in-room Nespresso or Keurig machine and whenever I asked for an extra capsule or 2, I was never refused! Nespresso capsules are a lot more expensive than instant coffee packets! - I was given 1 tiny bottle of combined shampoo/body wash for the 2 nights I stayed there. Even when the bottle was left almost empty in the shower, it was not replaced, and was instead just moved to the sink area as if it's new. I will look at another hotel next time I go back to the area. Just 10 months ago I was in Lourdes with my mother and we stayed at a smaller hotel closer to the Grotto and we received better service there. I should've stayed there instead, but I decided to give BW a try to earn more points. Big mistake.

"Out of season visit"
PMandS, 15 Mars 2017

We were pleasantly surprised with one of the few open hotels on our recent visit prior to the start of the season proper. Friendly, efficient, helpful, English speaking staff, and a late night supper provided on arrival when our train was delayed. Our room had great views over the garden and was very comfortable. Good out door seating areas and pool for sunny days. Buffet continental breakfast only. In a town with SO many hotels, the BW BeauSejour is recommended!

"Cozy Hotel at a Superb Location"
chandana_silva, 14 Mars 2017

The hotel is just in front of the Lourdes Train Station and a ten minute walk to the Grotto/City center. The room was nice; Clean Bathroom with very freshly cleaned towels and amenities.Bed was comfy. WiFi is good. Great View of the Station. Beautiful views from the balcony or plaza. Very quite location. A couple of good restaurants close-by. Breakfast and Customer Care is good. Will visit again !

"Excellent hotel and staff"
Rick G, 08 Mars 2017

Great location and excellent service by all staff members. We were visiting Lourdes for see the Grotto and experience all that Lourdes has to offer. This hotel made our stay very comfortable and the restaurant was also excellent. We had breakfast there everyday and the food and service was great, well worth the cost. We had dinner there several times as well. The restaurant and staff were excellent. Thanks to the staff of the restaurant and hotel for making our visit that much better.

"Comfortable Hotel"
Mark W, 22 Février 2017

A comfortable and clean hotel located just inside Lourdes. Location is very good to visit the holy grotto 5 mins just below but is at the opposite end of town from the main pilgrim hotels. A brisk 10 minute walk up the Main Street brings you right into the main commercial area with the bigger hotels and grotto by the river just below. Food was fine and our family room as expected but very stuffy as the ac didn't really work. Good parking and a lovely view towards the mountains. Possibly the best hotel in Lourdes!

"Excellent place to stay when in Lourdes"
jmLondon845, 11 Novembre 2016

The location is great, the service excellent, the room very comfortable with a splendid view and extremely clean, which is quite appreciable. We cannot praise enough the management for taking so much care about his hotel as everything is top notch. Next time, obviously I will stay at the same spot.

"Travelling to Spain"
Bernard3603, 19 Octobre 2016

Very pleasant hotel. Nice clean room with lovely views. Free parking. Short walk to religious sites. Lourdes is highly comercialised and this detracts from the spiritual essence of the location. Been there done that. The hotel is fine Lourdes and St Bernadette exploited to the hilt. Money changers in abundance.

"Another Excellent Stay"
BozemanDave, 05 Octobre 2016

I normally stay at this facility when I travel to the Shrine at Lourdes. It has never disappointed me and I will continue to stay here though there are closer hotels to the Shrine at which I have also stayed. The rooms aren't overly large but comfortable and if you get a room facing the pool and mountains you will have a beautiful view, especially in the morning. The restaurant is excellent and you need go no further to find good dining at a reasonable price. It is located across the street from the train station so if you arrive by train it's a short walk to the hotel. I hope to stay here again.

"Holiday"
Zena W, 13 Septembre 2016

Great hotel very helpful fantastic views from our room food in restaurant very reasonable.its located in the heart of Pyrenees we didn't realise that Lourdes was a city so much to do and see.the sanctuary was amazing

"Always a pleasure"
Mrs6dogs, 13 Septembre 2016

I think this was my sixth stay at The Beausejour in Lourdes and it never disappoints! The hotel is located just away from the hustle and bustle of the centre, giving one a place of calm to return to. It is quiet, friendly, with a tranquil and pretty garden which includes a lovely swimming pool. The rooms are quite compact, but have everything you need and the garden facing rooms have a small balcony on which to sit and enjoy the breathtaking view of the mountains. The rooms and the entire hotel are immaculately clean, the staff are superb... professional, friendly, efficient and happy to help. Jolanda, who always manages my booking is just fabulous, as are the restaurant manager and the owner Pascale. This year there was a new member of staff Melany, who could not have been more helpful. The food is delicious, offering a comprehensive selection of locally sourced, fresh produce and for the past two years they have had a chef, whose food quite honestly rivals any chef here in London. His vegetables are quite simply sublime! I could not recommend a hotel more highly, its standards are always high, its location very convenient and it is astonishingly good value for money....try it!

"A fantastic hotel"
mikefaud1, 10 Août 2016

This hotel is class. Of all of the hotels in Lourdes, I would stay here. It is beautiful. Jolander was wonderful and very helpful. It is so clean and well appointed. It has a beautiful pool and the rooms are great. It is a ten minute walk to the Shrine, but well worth it. It is a nice walk and you get to see the town. Also it is across the street from the train station. You have to take a cab to the airport and it is about 35 euros.

"Pilgrimage"
Kay S, 25 Juillet 2016

The hotel is opposite the train station and 10 minute walk (down hill) to the Sanctuary, it is very clean and tidy but the rooms are very small. The staff are friendly enough but very rigid in their offerings. I wanted a bottle of water or any drink in a plastic cup/bottle to take around the pool as glass isn't allowed but they don't have any, I had to walk over the road to the train station to buy one and then a little later, just before 2pm I felt a little hungry but wasn't served food as it was too late - lunch finished at 2pm exactly, again I had to go over to the train station for a sandwich! Breakfast is ok, a little expensive for continental at Euros12 and the evening meal was nice but again a little expensive and I would have preferred something a little simpler after a long day out and about.

"Not on par with Best Western hotels in the USA"
plilikoi, 18 Juillet 2016

My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights, booked through Booking.com (a lot cheaper than booking through BestWestern.com). In our room there was a flier advertising that if you take the flier with you to dinner and you receive a complimentary aperitif along with a 3- course meal for €21. The regular price was €22.90. So we went down with the flier and got our complimentary aperitif, but the waiter kept the flier. I asked whether the meal would cost €21, as indicated on the flier. At first he denied the existence of this offer so I asked him to please bring me the flier. Then the manager said this was a 6-week old price, left in our room by mistake, and indicated that he couldn't honour it. My wife grew a bit agitated and said, "We're spending 5 nights in your hotel and you can't even give us the advertised €1.90 discount on a €22.90 dinner?" No, he could not, so we said, "Fine, in this case we're not eating dinner here. We'll pay for our aperitifs and leave, thank you." To his credit, he did waive the cost of the aperitifs. Sheesh, this would never happen in the USA. The French need to learn a thing or two about customer appreciation. Even without eating dinner here this experience has left a bad taste in my mouth. The room was very pleasant though and cleaned well every day.

"Best Of the Best"
Spithead, 15 Juillet 2016

A Best Western with a traditional taste both in style and appearance. A small cosy hotel suitable for both business or pleasure with access to all amenities. Rooms a touch small but all with tiny balcony, mountain views, spotless and clean. Super fast free internet and ample on site parking, lots of leisure space in and outside, a well stocked small bar serving drinks on the terrace, pool and loungers. The breakfasts were very good and plentiful with fresh fruit but lacking good old fresh baguettes and hot croissants. This hotel is situated close to the centre and within walking distance to the tourist attractions and of course the 'miracle centre' if your into that hype!! Get up early and jog through the centre of town and watch the beggars get out of their cars, carrying their begging bowls and using mobile phones..... All this at 7am in prep for a real hard day at the office!! We loved this hotel!

"Fine apart from the rooms being a bit small"
RobertJGray, 20 Juin 2016

Nice place with friendly staff and a good ambiance. Secure parking included at no extra charge and a decent breakfast buffet. Our room was on the first floor and we found it a tad small but quite serviceable. There's no air conditioning so it would be uncomfortable on hot nights.

"At walking distance from points of interest"
paulsagiv, 20 Juin 2016

This is a medium class hotel, close to the cathedral and at walking distance from points of interest. Rooms are relatively small and the interior of the room is basic. Staff is very helpful and breakfast buffet is well organized.

"Awesome Hotel"
Adam S, 19 Juin 2016

I stayed here a couple weeks ago. The hotel is really nice. It has a nice restaurants and the food was great. The room was nice. The staff was helpful and friendly as well. It's close to all major tourist attractions and I was able to just walk and visit what I wanted to see. It has free parking as well which was deal breaker for me. I highly recommend it.

"Opposite the railway station"
Manika61, 18 Juin 2016

Very convenient if you have to catch an early morning train or if arrival is late. About a kilometer from Lourdes sanctuary, Which takes about 10 to 15 min to walk. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Room that we got was large and very clean, it was facing the main road but it did not disturb us.

"Excellent Service"

Second trip to Lourdes and stayed at this Hotel. This Hotel offers excelent service when it comes to customers questions, food, cleanness and comfort. Stayed here for ten days and never had a problem. Very clean and comfortable. Would stay here again and recommend this Hotel. Management and Staff is excellent!! When I return to Lourdes, will definitely stay here again. Across the street is the Train Station and City Busses that will take you to the outside doors of Lourdes for only 1.20 euros each way.

"Quiet Position"
rupewindsor, 13 Juin 2016

We booked a superior room and we were very upset at how small the room was and the room smelled awful. When we queried the the room, we were told that it was a superior room and that standard rooms were less nice. We were shown a so called "Premier Room" which was what we would of expected for a superior room. It cost an extra 350 Euros for a week. We decided to take the "Superior Room" The new room had more space and a nice bathroom with corner bath. The wallpaper was not peeling off the wall like the first room we were offered, unfortunately it did not have such a good view as the first room. Breakfast was cold continental with the option to cook your own boiled eggs, many people took eggs expecting them to be cooked, great fun when they cracked then open and raw egg fell onto their plates. Evening meals were fairly good but only 5 options for the half board option which did not change at all. So a bit boring if you are staying for a week or longer. A half liter of house wine was 5.50 euros. There was an option of another 5 meals for a further supplement which did not look interesting so we never tried. The hotel was just opposite the station and very quiet. It was about a 1/4 of an hour downhill walk to the grotto. The hotel was very clean, sheets, towels and table cloths very crisp and white. We did not have a fridge in the room which would of been useful. The smell in the room was an air freshener but had in my view had an awful smell. If we stayed in Lourdes again we would consider this hotel again, the staff were really nice! Lovely quiet position!

"Perfect for Lourdes"
ValG82, 12 Juin 2016

We booked two rooms one double room and the other a triple. The double room was provided with two single beds put together with separate sheets which for two individuals would be OK but for a couple not ideal. The triple came with three separate single beds one being a rollaway. Rooms were small but that is typical of France so no complaints. The bathrooms were clean and well appointed which was great. Location was very good with the train station opposite. We hired a car from the airport but getting around on foot from the hotel is pretty easy and very convenient. Didn't deal too much with hotel staff as we knew where we were going but they seemed pretty good. Views from the hotel are very good too which is nice.

"Very well maintained hotel with very good location."
carlosechevarria2000, 15 Mai 2016

The hotel is very well maintained. The guest room and bathroom are very clean. The location of the hotel is strategic when travelling via train. The hotel is a walking distance to the sanctuary. I would recommend this hotel.

"We Would Definitely Stay Again!"
Donna A, 18 Mars 2016

Most accommodations in Lourdes, France are locally owned. While searching for a hotel to stay at, which my family and I are familiar with, I came across a Best Western brand. It is not a Best Western Plus brand and I was concerned. My husband and I are not very impressed with Best Western. We had stayed at Best Western Hotels in the United States and they were not satisfactory. Therefore, I read many reviews and perused numerous photos of Best Western Beausejour before making reservations. We chose it as it had a parking space. I set my expectations pretty low so as not to be disappointed. When we got there, I was pleasantly surprised. Everyone in the family liked our accommodations. Best Western Hotel Beausejour is 10 minutes walk from The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes, the attraction that brought us to Lourdes, France. It's a pretty good location for able-bodied folks like me and members of my family. Although, the seniors in the family would probably have appreciated more a hotel much closer to the Sanctuary. Another plus for the hotel is it is very near to the train station. It is literally across Gare de Lourdes. As my family drove to Lourdes, this was not a factor we considered. The one advantage we loved was it is right next door to restaurants. It also has a restaurant on location which serves delicious French food! Excitingly, the hotel offers a fabulous view of the Sanctuary and the Pyrenees mountains. To me, the location is perfect! I could blame it on jet lag, but while in Lourdes, I woke up at 3am Lourdes time and could not get back to sleep. But, it was because our room was a bit warm. The first night there, we thought the room did not have a thermostat because there was nothing that resembled a thermostat from our experience. The second night, we figured out where the thermostat was, but perhaps, we did not set it right. However, I slept better on the second night as I did not feel anyone moving about until about 0630am. The rooms are small by US standard. But we were in France, so the room size is what one would find in many hotels in Lourdes. There were three single beds in our Superior Family Room furnished with a desk and a chair, and a safe. I loved that there is a small veranda with an amazing view. The bathroom was comfortable enough for a person to move about. Plus, the wifi signal in our room was great! The family appreciates the service at Best Western Beausejour very much. We were welcomed without the French snobbery that one reads about. There was one personnel who spoke good English and he was very helpful. The hotel could use more English speaking personnel as they do get guests from all over the world. However, the language barrier did not take away from the excellent service we got from this hotel's people. The family appreciate their efforts in assisting us. We got a good value for what we paid for at this hotel. It is located within the city of Lourdes. The rooms were way more than we expected. Definitely much better than the Best Western that we had stayed at in the US. It would have been best if we had breakfast with our stay. It was off season when we were there, I would consider that a great value for the internet rate of €121.6 a night for a Superior Family Room. Our room was clean and our bathroom, equally so. I did not hear any family member complain about the cleanliness of our rooms. The restaurant, lounge, and garden look well cared for. The hallways' carpets looked regularly vacuumed. It looks like there are no violations in sanitation at Best Western Beausejour! If you happen to find yourself in Lourdes, France, you may want to consider staying at Best Western Hotel Beausejour. It is a good hotel to stay at. My family would definitely stay here again should we go back to Lourdes.

Excellent hotel! It had everything on our "must" list - friendly, clean, hospitable, safe and free easy access parking. I am going to stay again and would not hesitate to recommend. The staff members are very helpful and pleasant. What to expect: Some of the rooms are VERY tiny even for European standard but cute, clean, and well arranged. The lobby is very welcoming. Hint: some rooms have a full bath with shower, the others just have a tiny shower stall. My husband is over 6ft and had a difficult time fitting in the shower stall so be specific in your ask. Also, the rooms on the first and second floor have tall ceilings and a small balcony, request these as it does give the feeling of a little more space.

" Nice hotel at an excellent location"
Buzo_Pops_Dad, 15 Octobre 2015

We were traveling from Barcelona with a lot of luggage and were Sceptical as to how do we manage to reach the hotel though it mentioned that the hotel as very was very near to the station. Indeed it was. It was just outside the station and not even a minute's walk. The rooms very decently sized and also had a good sized bathroom. The rooms were very clean. The management was extremely helpful and also The grotto is at a walkable distance and also there are quite a few eateries around. There is a restaurant next to the hotel which serves Chinese food and it was just awesome. We were very satisfied with our stay and highly recommend this hotel to the travellers. Neat, clean and spacious. Great job by the team.

"Small Rooms"
John16752024, 01 Octobre 2015

I paid an additional 40 euros for a "Superior" and received a room that we are barely able to move around in. The helpful reception kindly showed us another room, but is was not any better. There are is a shortage of electrical outlets in the room. One outlet in the small bathroom and one in the main room in addition to the outlet for the TV. I am glad that I brought my US extension cord with three outlets that I had cut down and attached a European plug to, otherwise we would have had issues keeping our devices charged. The Wi-Fi was up and down for two days and I had to demand that the air conditioning to our room be turned on as the air con at the hotel is set to only come on automatically when the outside temp rises above a certain level. To further add to the cramped situation the hotel had screwed down a large plastic brochure holder on a narrow shelf that interfered with the placement of my laptop PC. The buffet breakfast is good. This hotel is in a good location for visiting the sights in Lourdes and there is plenty of free parking. We would not stay here again.

"Better than ever!"
Mrs6dogs, 12 Septembre 2015

I'm just back from my 5th trip to the Beausejour and it was as ever hospitable, immaculately clean and well run. However the food this year was far better, I had 4 delicious evening meals, I particularly enjoyed the delicious vegetables...cooked to perfection. This hotel is consistently excellent, located just outside the main hubbub opposite the train station... It affords you peace, tranquility, beautiful views of the mountains and a lovely swimming pool. The staff cannot do enough to help you and I highly recommend anyone to stay at the Beausejour. Excellent value for money!

"Amazing hotel"
Buansuse, 10 Septembre 2015

We have stayed in this hotel for 3 nights in August and we loved it!!!! After coming back to England, I realised that I had left my gold necklace in the safe. The hotel staff were very kind and helpful when it was reported and posted the necklace safely back to me. Our stay at this hotel was very pleasant. The staff were always friendly and attentive, the hotel was very clean and the rooms were spotlessly cleaned every day!! It has a good size swimming pool and the location is perfect. Restaurants and public transport are all within 2 minutes walk. The hotel's own restaurant makes fabulous meals at a reasonable price.

"Wonderful customer service"
NSJ126, 11 Août 2015

Spotless accommodation. Good food. Fabulous service from lovely people. Highly recommended. We booked the hotel as a base for cycling Tourmalet. Our bikes were safely stored and we were given the space to assemble them. The hotel manager collected us from the airport and arranged for the restaurant to stay open. On the one occasion we ate out, the staff recommended a few restaurants and the one we went to didn't disappoint.

"Cycling Trip"
Pete L, 10 Août 2015

Spent three nights recently at this hotel. We used their private minibus service to pick us up and drop us off at Toulouse. They were super efficient. Hotel was superb especially considering the reasonable prices. We intended to eat out in Lourdes but the hotel food and staff were so good that we dined twice in their restaurant. Rooms are compact but spotlessly clean. The hotel generally is spotless and well maintained. A particular mention must be made of the staff. They were all friendly, helpful and humorous. Both Jerome and our young lady waitress could not have been more pleasant. I would highly recommend this hotel.

"Great stay"
Arun D, 04 Août 2015

We had reached Lourdes station in the early morning and needed to check in just for a few hours. This hotel is very close by to the train station and also to the main shrine by bus. Hotel room was neat and clean. It was quite spacious and comfortable stay. The lady staff was very loving and sweet to talk. Breakfast was fantastic. The weather was awesome cool.

"Overnight stay"
DonnaZB, 30 Juillet 2015

We arrived fr Marseille past 2 in the afternoon fr the train station which is literally a short walking distance fr this hotel. I booked this hotel for such reason and also a comfortable walking distance to the sanctuary. The lady receptionist was very accommodating even when we checked out the ff day. We had to go back to the sanctuary to finish our pilgrimage after we checked out at 11. Eventually our train to Touluse connecting to Marseille was cancelled and so we had to go back to the hotel to wait at the lobby. She was more than acxomodating to have us. We highly recommend this hotel when you visit Lourdes most especially by train .

"Standard hotel"
baghdadpilgrim, 30 Juillet 2015

Location was ideal for anyone visiting by rail. It was only a 5 minute walk to the main attractions. Room was clean and comfortable. My only gripe would be the lack of a kettle and drink making facilities in the room. Reception staff were polite and very helpful. Breakfast was a standard European breakfast, nothing to write home about. The room we had faced the rear of the property and was very quiet. Would recommend to anyone visiting.

"Great place to stay and the staff is amazing!"
Christopher S, 17 Juin 2015

I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone going to Lourdes. The staff was extremely helpful and very caring about what you needed and wanted. They did speak English so it made it nice that you could communicate directly with them.

"Good value hotel"
Dominic T, 17 Mai 2015

Hotel is near the train station. It is about 15 minutes walk to the Sanctuary. Staff is very helpful. Breakfast is very good. Room is clean. However the room is very small. There is insufficient space to unpack and storage materials.

"Very smart and friendly"
Charles H, 20 Janvier 2015

One of the better looking BW hotels I have used, very clean, tidy and smart. Staff very friendly and helpful. Large free car park. Room small but adequate and comfortable, only niggle is that you can hear water systems from other rooms at night. Highly recommend.

"Extremely satisfied"
charlesg851, 05 Novembre 2014

Very comfortable room with a good shower I was given a double room for single occupancy and it seemed quite small. I think 2 people in the room would be dis-satisfied with its size The hotel had a good lounge, restaurant, gardens, sun terrace and a swimming pool.

"Ideal"
Margaret H, 02 Octobre 2014

Close to the station, convenient for bus service into town centre, but well removed from the tourist/pilgrim throngs round the Sanctuary, this hotel is a pleasure to stay in. My room was quiet, clean, comfortable with a view of trees and mountains; the air-conditioning worked well; staff very helpful - and food in the restaurant really excellent.

"Excellent stay in Lourdes"
Cheryl073, 04 Juin 2014

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely hotel which was right across from the train station. The facilities were excellent and the staff very helpful. The view of the mountains was stunning. It was a nice walk into the main part of town which is quite busy with all of the tourist shops. Would definitely stay here again.
