The staff is very helpful and friendly. They keep the hotel very clean and safe. I would definitely recommend this hotel. It is walking distance to everything in Hollywood. It's also close to a Ralphs so you can grab any thing you need.

First thing to say is that on checking in, we met the fantastic Corey on the front desk. He was so helpful, ensuring we got the best room available for our disability needs, even asking people to move cars so we could park closer to the room. He also gave us fabulous tourist advice, where to go, what to see. He is truly a credit to this hotel. The hotel itself was a basic motel style hotel. The room was small with a massive bathroom (wetroom). The room had a hairdryer (big tick) the mirror was too high to be used. The room had a coffee maker (tick) the only socket left a trailing wire across the wall. Sadly the room was not designed by a disabled person for practicality. There had also been water ingress at some point, there was a crack in the ceiling and the wallpaper had started peeling. However - the cleaning was good. The breakfast was great, but the room too small, we struggled to find space to sit, as did others - some of which were eating on sunbeds around the pool. The pool itself was excellent, but a distinct lack of sunbeds, and th ebattery had been stolen out of the hoist chair. Finally, our top 3 requests: Create a disabled parking space next to the diabled room Retro fit with a rise and fall sink / mirror unit Move the breakfast room to a more suitable space Overall it was the finer details that let this hotel down, but the effort of Corey that made those little things disappear a little. Without him thos was a 3 / 5 stay, with him a 4.

Really nice hotel, great location for many of Hollywood's attractions, the surrounding area does attract alot of homeless people but, they were no trouble and, we felt quite safe within the hotel. Clean, comfortable rooms, friendly staff, great pool and an excellent breakfast offering an array of choices including cooked items. We spent 2 weeks here and, thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Korey at the front desk is amazing, he went above and beyond with customer service and I really appreciate it because customer service is hard to come across. He greeted with a smil, acknowledge my member status offered water overall good service

Location is very good. Parking and internet were key for us - very happy about those. Pool, breakfast and cleanliness is not amazing but definitely better than my expectations. Enjoyed the stay, would go back and would recommend to friends.

This small hotel is cute, and has the potential to be somewhere great down the line. Rooms were fairly clean and stocked with the basics, but you are located in a tricky area. While there's breakfast and internet, it really does work as a solid basic stay if you plan to be put most of the day.

Clean and quiet! Our sheets were a little old/over washed bc there were tears in the bottom sheet. But I would rather have sheets that have been washed too many times than dirty sheets! The room was newly renovated and everything looked clean. Def would stay again. $10 Uber to the Palladium so location was great too.

Staying at the hotel was good. The hotel area was quiet and felt safe. The area was walking distance from 1-2 grocery stores, restaurants, clothing stores and bus stops. They have free parking if needed. For the most part the rooms were clean, but needed to be cleaned better the first night there because the sheets had hair and didn't looked changed/clean. The faucet didn't look clean either. But you could tell another staff cleaned the room the remainder of the stay cause the sheets and faucet were actually cleaned. I would recommend adding another mirror in the room, the only mirror was in the bathroom and it wasn't a full body mirror. The breakfast was ok and basic. Two cereal options, bagel, waffle and egg.

For the price this is not worth it. The place seem to be a party hotel. It was loud and disrupted. Did not feel safe. Security lady was on her phone the whole time. The worst was that there were no parking spaces available which didn't make sense. The staff told me to park in the alley which was not going to happened because I had my family and children with me. The amount I paid and no parking available bad service

From a good nights rest to breakfast in the morning to swimming in the pool and friendly staff. The gentleman in the front office was very friendly, he made sure me and my family were accommodated. I would definitely stay here again.

The customer service here was excellent. The location and room were very clean, quiet, and calm. There was a small fridge, microwave, and coffee maker in the room. The bed was very comfortable and so were the comforters, which were also fluffy. There was FREE on site parking. We would definitely stay here again.

i stayed 3 nights and paid almost 700 dollars for not very good service. The room was not very clean , one day I went out by car I came back at 11:30 pm the parking lot was already closed I had to leave the car on the street where there were many homeless people , there was an argument in the room below where I stayed and no one from the hotel was able to go there or call the police, it was a bad night

I am elite customer the manager never acknowledged me for being elite customer and when checking in he wanted me to give him my car license number but overall the manager raihaan was nice, he just needs to make sure to acknowledge the elite customers

The parking lot is not very easy to maneuver and fills up quickly. Unfortunately, we scratched our rental car while parking and parked the car on street 2 out of 4 nights of our stay. Other than that, everything was ok. The rooms were not big but clean, and everything was functional. The crew was helpful and friendly. The hotel is across from Ralph's supermarket, which is convenient if you need anything. There are a lot of restaurants within walking distance. The hotel is safe and has 24 hours security, but Sunset boulevard may not be the best location for the families to stroll at night.

This hotel is not meant for the families. If you want to keep your belongings and your family safe do not stay here. My car was parked in the hotel's parking spot and next morning I saw my car had a break in, my belongings from car were stolen. The hotel manager said there are no cameras or security. The parking did not have any warning or notices to park at your own risk. Hotel manager was rude and didn't empathize. I ended up leaving early and changed the hotel to a bnb.

We booked the standard room and it was clean, as well as our bathroom. Location was great, as it was walking distance to many shops, restaurants and the Hollywood Walk of Fame. However, there was not enough Disabled parking stalls. We had to park off-site for half of our stay; We had to park around the block, which was very inconvenient and far to push the wheelchair to and from our vehicle. Our booking included a free breakfast, which was limited to a few items to choose from.

The hotel itself was very nice. The rooms are very nice and comfortable. Only problem for us was that there was only one trash can for a room of 8 and it was in the bathroom. Parking spots are very tight as well. Our last night there 2 cars took up 5 parking spots. Thankfully we were able to find a parking spot. I know this part isn't the hotels fault but the area isn't the best. There is ALOT of homeless people around the area. Thankfully you have to drive about 5 minutes to really see a lot of it. But still somewhat worrisome. Near the hotel there is a delicious Mexican spot, Starbucks, Burger King, 7-11, etc. Location is also about a 10/15 minute drive to Universal Studios. Lastly, free breakfast isn't too bad either. Only big issue is the room is super small. They have tables to eat there but due to COVID and such a small place they should put those next to the swimming pool instead.

Value incommensurate with $200 nightly rate. Soundproofing measures are completely inadequate...the property appears to be a wood-framed building, and as such, our guest room's floor shook everytime someone walked anywhere on our floor or opened/closed the door. We could hear conversations from other rooms even. Breakfast included two hot items per day in addition to typical cold/dry items, which was nice. The front desk staff were very friendly/helpful. While the housekeeping staff were also very friendly, the housekeeping services were lacking. Housekeeping cleaned our room only once during our 5-night stay. For two of the days, we were simply told that housekeeping services were unavailable (although no discount was provided nor were we advised in advance of this). Our room originally did not have a hairdryer (it had been taken off the wall) but was rectified expeditiously. On Day 2, housekeeping had apparently removed the shower curtain from our room to be cleaned without replacing it, leading to delays. We also were unable to contact the front desk via phone...the line was always busy, meaning we had to walk outside to address the lack of hairdryer and shower curtain. While the room was clean and the decor was updated, the bathroom lacked any HVAC ventilation such that the room was constantly 10+ degrees colder than the bedroom. The internet worked for a couple days, but halfway through the stay my company's VPN on my phone kicked me off with an alert that the internet connection was unsecure and I was unable to bypass or reconnect for the remainder of my stay. Overall, not a good value for the price we paid.

We booked this hotel because it was close to Universal Studios. I should've known there would be MULTIPLE issues when the clerk greeted me at the window with no shoes on. Second was, the room we booked, they no longer had so we had to settle for a double bed ( we booked a king) and the clerk assured me that “i would not be charged extra for it.” The parking was ridiculous! It was the smallest parking in any hotel we've ever stayed it! We finally get to our room…the bolt door lock does not work. So we had to slam the door shut to “lock it” and pray no one would try and break into our rooms. The room fan worked great! It kept the room cool all night, but there were broken/missing buttons. The walls are paper thin, I could hear whenever someone in the other room spoke or showered. But they had decent cable channels. The next day, we noticed that the shower head was not properly installed. Instead of water coming out of the shower head holes, it came out from the top of it. So the floors because drenched because of it. The only good thing about the room besides the fan and tv channel was the bathroom mirror. Overall for the price of this hotel, just pay a bit more and upgrade to something better. I promise you, you will thank me later.

Stayed one night, too many junkies and mentally ill people stay at this hotel. It's very sad because the staff are great and it's in the perfect location. I didn't feel safe, the parking lot below is noisy especially with people who come across as sketchy and like to rev their vehicle at 3am in the morning that look like Mexican gang members who drove a silver Lexus SUV.

Loud people, noises, and fighting ALL night long next to the window we slept in. Shady people in the inside area of the hotel. Parking is minimal and very small. Shady people riding there bikes in and off the property at all hours. Security parked in the no parking zone and turned the car on early in the morning and we smelled the fumes in our room because it was backed up to our window of our room. Did not feel one bit safe even in our room during this stay.

Unfortunately the cost is only due to the location. It is within walking distance from Hollywood blvd and other restaurants. Very expensive for the amenities provided. They did have breakfast, I didn't use it. The room wasn't clean! And the pictures are a lie!

I want to take this space to mention the issues...The heater/cooling system emitted a bad odor. We could not turn off the fan to stop the smell so just unplugged it. I reported it to the front desk and asked for additional blankets since it was cold. The front desk staff told me he would bring them to the room. He didn't have any blanket! but brought us numerous sheets. We could only use 1 sheet as the others were stained. The floor was dirty and sticky with something spilled by the previous occupant as well as other areas of visible dirt. When reported the front dest staff that it would be resolved the next day! Thankfully the hotel was staffed with security because there was all types of unsavory people hanging around the hotel screaming at all hours of the night and early morning. A couple of the folks were guests staying there! I will NEVER stay at this establishment again and I want a refund!

This place may qualify as run down motel not BW Collection Brand (Pl change to NOT SureStay). Not safe for family, drug and smoke smell all over the property and in-room. Bad location. Due to Airline delay arrived late night, tired and did not have energy to find and stay else where. So originally booked for 4 nights, checked out next morning one night stay.

The staff was cool. Not a problem getting extra linens. Outside each room is a pic of an old Hollywood actor or actress which is a nice touch.Cheap price for such a great location which is central to alot of things u may need..moreover these things are in walking distance. The drawback of why i gave 4 instead of 5 stars is the parking. It is very tight and limited. We were scared if we didnt make it back to the room by a certain time we may not have a parking spot at all! Would definitely recommend especially if on a budget.

Let's just say this hotel is trash. And the employees aside from the younge gentleman and lady who work the front desk are all SOOOOO RUDE! Ice machine hasn't worked in months. God forbid you need a towel they won't give you any. My toilet hot stopped up and not only was I told to go look for a plunger somewhere around the property. Neither I nor the employee could find one.

Very happy with the customer service Liz provides great customer service shes friendly, helpful if u have any questions shes always willing to answer to best of her ability if there is anything wrong the maitinance guy is always there to help as well hes very nice They do have several guys that work here and they are hard to speak to due to they dont understand what you are trying to say or ask them not too friendly either I prefer not to deal with them do to this If it was not for Liz and her great customer service always happy and smiling I would not be coming to this hotel on a regular basis because of her I always feel welcomed to be there and it makes me want to keep coming back

From the outside, the hotel is unassuming however upon entering the main courtyard, the focus is on the pristine pool and surrounding deck. The rooms are very nice but what separates this hotel from others within the same price point are the staff and I have had the pleasure of being greeted by Liz on multiple visits. Liz goes above and beyond what one might expect during the checkin process. On one occasion, I had a personal Wheel and she offered to have the Wheel delivered to my room. If your travels take you to Hollywood area, check out this hotel and make sure you say hi to Liz!

This facility has very decent/nice decor that's better than some motels, very aberrant from what you would usually find for this price. Most of the staff members are polite & friendly. I can't speak much for anyone else that works at the front desk, but there's one lady that has made this place feel like I'm staying at a 5 star hotel since my initial arrival. I have stayed, could currently stay at more expensive, physically appealing Hotels/Resorts, but I wouldn't be as comfortable as I am here because of Ms. Liz. I've seen her dissolve discrepancies professionally, efficiently, felicitously while maintaining alacrity & a positive attitude. Not mine alone, but other, sometime cantankerous, guests as well. She is quintessentially thee representation of 5 star customer service & in my opinion she should cater to the affluent. In a sense it feels as if she is the mother of this community & It's not the same without her on her days off. In my personal opinion she is a essential asset to this business. She deserves all the recognition & plaudit that could possibly be allotted to her for her sagacity, diligence, decorum, and professionalism. We stayed at this hotel & had to cut short our stay due to the surge in covid , the manager LIZ was very kind & understanding , she also let us move to a new room Right away as the heating was not working, it was nice & clean, they gave us stuff for Breakfast in lunch bags due to covid , for people who criticize i have to say one thing there is always a choice , you can pay More & get a better place but for the price we paid on sunset BLVD the services were sufficient .I have to give 5 STARS TO LIZ who catered to all our needs & was very Friendly & Humble.she is a very good employee for this hotel !

Smelt like cigarettes in a no smoke room. Went during spooky Szn, and I was definitely spooked at the horribly staged room. Their renovations were cheap and awful. Got it for a cheap price compared to the original price.. and it was overpriced for how horrible it was. Parking was terrible too.

I had the great experience of traveling to Hollywood this past weekend and staying at the Sunset West Hotel. Liz worked at the front desk and was amazing. She was kind and patient and helpful. 2020 has been a difficult year and being able to get away for a moment was fantastic. Feeling safe, taken care of and comfortable was priceless. While the hotel remodel is nice and the hotel kept very clean, the reason I continue to return is based upon the outstanding service I receive from Liz. Liz is absolutely professional and a great representative of your hotel. She remembers my name, is kind, courteous and efficient. She doesn't hesitate to answer any and all questions and never says "no"....Every business should have an army of Liz's on staff and they would flourish. Upon arrival I was very pleased with the front desk service and friendliness. The room was very cleaned, well sanitized and ready for my arrival. At first we had an issue with the Tv but after bringing it to their attention they had it fixed in minutes!! Very pleased, but my favorite part of the stay was Liz, she was friendly, observant super attentive and very welcoming. Thank you Liz for making my trip excellent!!

7/3/20- 7/5/20 Stayed here for 2 nights as my company booked this hotel. Great location but there was way too many pot smokers to enjoy the stay, every single corner of the hotel reeked of marijuana. I'm not a hater of it, but the hotel could have been more accommodating by having a smoking section somewhere for all that fun. It's constant everywhere you go here, which for many it's awesome but for others, it sucks. Also, there's homeless people everywhere around here, one in particular lingered around the pool. I was trying to enjoy myself but had to constantly be on guard as the homeless people wouldn't leave, even when kids are in the area. Just felt uncomfortable being in the pool area, also there's no pool towels, but thankfully the cleaning ladies had extras. They do give a small breakfast bag which included donuts, apple juice and a fruit cup, which was nice since many places don't give anything due to Covid. Overall, it's not a terrible hotel, and for being in the middle of downtown Hollywood, can't expect too much. I would stay here again, just maybe away from the smoking section.

The receptionist Liz is a very kind and understanding woman . She is one of the most respectful staff I've ran into out of the 50+ hotels I've stayed at . Rooms are very nice and clean. The hotel is located in the middle of Hollywood, right across from a Ralphs and in an area with lots to do. Liz, working the main front desk, was very kind and helpful. Overall a very pleasant stay.

What a gem we found.Staff friendly. The property is neat tidy spotlessly clean and safe and secure. Beds so comfortable hot breakfast. You won't be disappointed. There is even a gated parking lot. We enjoyed our stay very much.

I stay here regularly. Its been rennovated, Rooms are nice, very clean, quiet and the property is safe. The Hotel employs a Night Watchman. The Staff is very Guest-Friendly. Parking is tight, because of the Hotel vintage, but is not a deal-killer by any means, just know , drive in SLOW.

I've stayed here many times and this hotel is excellent! Liz works the front desk and she is super friendly and helpful! The hotel had a remodel about a year ago. This place is clean, close to everything and has reasonable prices.

This is a decent place. The lady who checked us in in the evening was very nice and walked out to show me where everything was. Room was clean. Small. About the size of a motel 6 room. It seemed to have been remodeled recently. The bathroom as small with a walk in shower which was nice. The toilet (which was smaller than a standard toilet) was positioned right up against the side of the sink. Very uncomfortable. My wife, who is petite, hated it. She said it was gross to sit on the toilet and have your leg touch the leg of the vanity holding the sink. She laid a towel over her leg so it wouldn't have to touch. The breakfast was pretty standard. That was a nice benefit. Toast/bagels, cereal, yogurt, fruit. They had a waffle maker, but I guess I was too early because they didn't have any batter out. I'm sure it was on the way because they had put out the packets of syrup. The butter pads were rock hard (like frozen) so it was impossible to butter toast. Parking is atrocious. A long thin parking lot that requires a lot of maneuvering to get into a spot. All in all, not a bad place. I would not book again unless I had limited choices.

This hotel was disappointing on so many levels. It is a small step up from a dive hotel. Stayed in the family suite for 2 nights. The extra room had curtains that did not function. We had to use a blanket to block out sounds and light from adjacent buildings. The bedding was gross and all had rips and looked well used. Luckily, it did seem clean. There were no towel hangers/racks. Would not stay here again and definitely would not recommend. The staff was nice and helpful.

We stayed here for three nights. The overall experience was good. The location is walking distance from the Dolby theater and the Walk of Fame. The parking was free and inside the property. The breakfast was also good: eggs, bacon/sausage, waffles, yogurt, bagels, juice, coffee, cereal... The only negatives were the weird smell in our room (we think it came from the heater/AC unit), and also the fact that there was not hot water. Only the first person who showered in the morning had hot water. Then, the water got colder and colder. We reported the problem to the front desk but it was not fixed. So we had to shower with cold water during our stay. This was pretty bad, since we were here in February. I think the quality was good for the price we payed, considering how expensive all the other hotels seemed.

At checkin, I was given a key to a room that turned out was still under construction: Equipment strewn across the room, plastic sheet over the bed with misc other furniture tossed on top. After complaining, we were given a new key to a much cleaner, more ready room. But the view was of a dirty mattress tossed on the street below. Lovey. Breakfast was mediocre in a tiny room. But walking distance to all the museums and attractions on Hollywood Blvd, which is why we chose the location. Parking wasn't as difficult as others made it sound. Didn't try the pool- it did not look inviting, and was very close to all the loud traffic on Sunset Blvd.

Stayed here for 3 nights all staff was lovely friendly and helpful, hotel was very clean and modern our room had a few bugs in the bathroom nothing major. beds were comfortable usb ports for charging plenty of plugs free wifi was really good. breakfast was nice a bit crowded but it was a busy weekend had a great stay only downside was the noise at night with people coming and going we had a cigarette bin outside our room and people would gather round the bin we moved the bin long abit after our first night there was a few homeless people sleeping round the side of the hotel which made us feel uncomfortable after a homeless person went crazy at us no fault of the hotel. $10 uber ride to universal studios, 15 minutes walk to Hollywood walk of fame, ihop, in and out, wendys, subway, dominoes all with in walking distance great hotel would highly recommended

So the first person I met was Liz. She was very kind, funny, informative, and fast. Took great care of me and my friends. Augusto was the man that took care of me in the morning. I highly recommend checking in with either of these 2 fine people.

The hotel was clean, and good location for exploring Hollywood. Breakfast was provided with several different options. Downside was homeless people slept right outside the window on the side street & one night a man was screaming obscenities which made for an unpleasant experience. Also being located next to the stairwell meant we were woken frequently during the night,

It was a great hotel excellent accommodations we wanted to be next to some friends and they made it hassle free. The rooms are remodeled but the toilets were a little too close to the sinks haha kinda made it hard to fit (i am 5'6 and 130) so i cant image for larger guest. But overall its a good place to stay out in hollywood

Hotel is within walking distance of major Hollywood attractions. Rooms are very clean however lack a sufficient amount of power outlets. Beds are comfortable. Sleeping is difficult due to noisy traffic, guests and staff.

We were pleasantly surprised with our stay at this hotel. It is small and intimate. The gentleman at the front desk was very nice and helpful. We got in late and he recommended the restaurant across the street - we had a very good meal there. The price was good compared to other hotels in the area and the parking a breakfast were free. Because of the make-up of our group - having a second room with a bed was very helpful. It isn't fancy, but it is more than adequate. It was clean enough by my standards which are fairly picky. It is close to everything Hollywood. We would stay again. They were remodeling some of the rooms and using a spot in the parking lot for debris which at first scared me, but once I knew it was for remodel and not just a trash heap it was o.k.

Room was good and Ms. Liz from the front desk was a gem. She recommended a hop on hop off bus tour which was as good as she described. The restaurant she recommended at Santa Monica Pier was fantastic.

Stayed here to take my son to Universal Studios! A good spot to Uber to the park; only 3.5mi/ $9.00 ride. Cheaper than paying at the park or next door hotel lot. The place was recently renovated and looked very modern and was clean. The front counter lady was very nice and helpful. The free breakfast was pretty good too!

Recently back from holiday in LA. The hotel location was perfect to visit the Hollywood boulevard. The room was big and beautiful, but noisy as the hotel is just by the main road. Overall, still a ok stay for my family.

Come to Cali at least once a month usually stay in Pasadena for cleanliness and affordability. Was so exhausted i decided to stay in Hollywood with expectations of nothing!! I got here parking was a bit snug (but it was free!!!!) took me a minute to get my truck just right. Walked past a beautifully lit pool and into a very modern clean office and let my savior LIZ!! Absolutely amazing. I told her how tired I was and she checked me in quickly, told me about breakfast (eggs sausage bagels etc) and heated pool and WALKED me to my room. I walked in and was completely shocked how new and clean it looked. Everything must have been redone even has usb opening near the top of your bed Liz then checked on me again after walking another guest to their room and helped me with the air conditioner!! Liz alone is 5 stars in my book. But I am glad I took the risk this will be my new spot when coming! Thanks Liz!!! Now I can finally sleep well!!!

Booked in the centre but regret right away. The location is awful, with homeless around. The hotel has 1 star rating max. Very dirty, very smelly, with black spots all over every single towel. The breakfast is a joke (with broken toaster a plastic plates and cutlery). So overpriced. If you come late there is no parking.

The Hotel has a good place, its very close to the Walk of Fame and Good stores at the sunset blvd. The Pool was a Good Place for hot days. Rooms look like the pictures, But they Are Not clean as all. They have a big Problem with cockroaches and duvet covers and towels Are Not really clean, sometimes you dont even get fresh towels. Breakfast here is good, But its the Same Everyday.. nothing for people staying like a week. We stayed Here about two weeks, and we got to know Liz. Shes working here and she is a very lovely Person, who Made our stay way more compfortable. Without her we wouldnt have stayed so Long here, thanks liz for your kindness!!

The bathroom had a sewer odor from the drains that didn't really go away... the room was very small and the parking was a bit difficult. The breakfast was better on our 2nd day compared to the 1st night. Location was pretty close to where we wanted to be.

I had the most Pleasent stay at the Sunset West Hotel. First off the lady Liz in the office was very helpful and caring. Me and my party had 2 rooms for our 5 day stay Liz made us feel welcome and warm with how she cared and interest in our band who traveled here from Albany NY. Thank you for everything Liz hope to be able to come back out to stay here again! Besides the great service I have to say they do a great job with keeping everything clean and sanitary including the parking areas and around poolside. Our rooms were a bit messy some days and we appreciate how well the house keepers kept up and gave us towels and toilet trees whenever asked. So thankful! Thank You! This hotel is close to a variety of tourist and dining spots. The room was comfortable, bed & bedding comfortable and the shower well appointed. The two issues I did have, were the walls were super thin, and the free parking was a plus, but finding a space later in the evening was difficult and the parking spots were very tight. Overall, I found this hotel to be clean, breakfast as adequate, but finding a seat to eat it was a challenge overall I would definitely recommended this place for a short stay.

This area is still being upgraded, or as some might say...Gentrified. Many old Hollywood Hotels are renovated into new more modern venues due to new construction and acquisition of older properties. Wishing this realm i see that in this location, Best Western kept the "Old Hollywood" vibe by keeping the original structure and simply renovating and upgrading amenities. This was brilliant for this location as the area is loosing some of the nastalgic remnants of Hollywood.

Very nice and clean hotel, modern rooms and a nice pool-area. The breakfast place is not so comfortable, but a good breakfast-choice. Parking lots available and restaurants nearby. Perfect location to visit Hollywood Blvd and Universal Studios without taking the own car.

Excellent area, beautiful rooms, nice staff. Free parking, breakfast buffet and good internet. We spent 3 days there and really enjoyed the hotel and restaurants in the area. The staff helped us arrange our trip to Los Angeles and it was very nice.

Stayed here for our family vacation to universal studios. Nice hotel with a heated pool. The staff was great, especially Liz. Liz gave us a rundown of sights to see while in hollywood and was amazing for everything we needed. Would definitely stay again.

Sunset Blvd is so easy to walk and the hotel is located close to a lot if great restaurants. The staff were quick with check in and out and were friendly. Our room had black out pull down shade under a thin curtain. Room was clean, the sheets looked clean but definitely had some stains. The price is comparable to others in the neighborhood.

We came to the wrong hotel initially, and was kindly directed to our correct hotel by a wonderful woman named Liz, but based on our experience with her and the way she handled us. It made us check out of our actual hotel after one night, to then come and check in at Sunset Western, where we were met again by Liz who was wonderful and even allowed extra time to check out. Great experience Genuine woman! Had great time there, would definitely come again.

Hotel is located near famous walk of fame and Chinese theater. Overall hotel's amenities were clean and appropriate. Breakfast in the hotel was wide and tasty (crispy bacon, juice,waffles, fruits and yogurts). Booking started off a little hectic but it all worked out. The hub and I decided to do a last minute mini vacation - LA food tour... we had absolutely no set plans and were just going to find a place in the middle of everything and hope for the best. After pulling up nothing but druggy motels in our budget I started to feel hopeless until I realized that I'm just going to have to up the budget a bit. It was pretty early still - Friday morning and not even 8am yet, we came across Sunset West which turned out to be just up the street from where we were parked! I didn't look too much into it - just saw their price, looked at a few photos and said WTH. I booked using Booking.com called the office and told them I just booked their last King room and asked if early check in was possible, the man said yes so we headed over. There was some confusion on the hotels side when I got there - apparently early check in was possible but the room wasn't ready so he then asked if I wanted to switch to a double - I said sure if it's the same price I don't care, well he didn't hear that part so he rang me up and sure enough it was more expensive. Anyway, long story short, I had him switch me back and he did and informed me to come back at 11. No big deal considering check in usually is @ 3pm. 11 comes around, I come back and he rings me up but the prices don't match. I showed him my booking and he fixed it. Great! That's pretty much the only hiccup we had. Parking... Yes, it's a bit tight but we had the disabled spot which is the first spot you see after going down the drive way and we reversed in so we were fine. They also have stalls you can park in but like I said, it's TIGHT. Got up to the room and it was gorgeous. Thank God they already had the AC going made it feel so nice and fresh. Smelled nice too! After seeing the room that's when I knew we had a great deal on our hands. $372.14 for two night + breakfast taxes and fees included on the weekend?? Please that's like unheard of in Vegas. I was shocked that they even had vacancies. The locations couldn't have been any better, they have a nice big pool, soda vending machine located where the ice machine was and friendly staff. Oh, the best part - their BED. Oh my God. SoOOO amazingly comfortable. We spent so much time sleeping lol and just hanging out in the room because we were so comfortable. Mind you we'd been driving all night coming from the Bay area - then it was so HOT in LA, there was no way we were walking the streets anytime before 7pm. Another huge bonus was the mini fridge and microwave (which some Vegas hotels don't even offer). Oh and a very nice 42" flat screen TV and can't forget those wonderful DOUBLE privacy curtains. Who ever designed this place was extremely thoughtful. The walk in shower was nice too! The only issue we really had was the hardwood floors. Nothing was wrong with it it's just not a good foot feel... to fix that we asked room service for 4 extra towels so we can use them to walk on - problem solved! Liz was the manger on duty that we ran into while coming back from our night out. She was super friendly, and sweet, asked us about our stay and we told her how much we were enjoying everything. I told her that I was shocked that they still has vacancies and she told me that they were sold out already. This was the day after we checked in so we really did luck out. They probably sold out a hr or so after our booking. LiZ, if you're reading this, I need you to send me a message in regards to your bedding. I need to duplicate it. I want the rundown from the bed brand to the pillows and sheets PLEASEEE. I'd like to purchase a QUEEN with ALL of the fixings if possible please let me know. I'll be calling your office to inquire about it as well. All in all A+ stay.

I wanna say thank you to Liz at the front desk and the rest of the hotel staff. They recovered my friends ID, debit card, phone, and very important work store key. I just wish they would have found her cigarettes Haha. The location for this hotel is awesome and staff is very friendly. Thank you again for helping her out. You really saved her life. !

I've stayed at a few Best Western hotels but this was definitely worst. There was no space in the room for a family with cases. Before we start exploring places we like to have a nice relaxing SIT DOWN breakfast. The breakfast room at best is a cupboard room with 3 small cramped tables- when you consider the amount of people staying here, this is totally inadequate- 50% of the time we spent standing up eating breakfast- disgusting. Also my wife asked if they had anymore muffin types cakes and the lady just grunted and said no,really rude,wouldn't recommend- real embarrassment for the Best Western group because usually quite good

I want to start this review by saying that my experience wasn't bad. The staff tried their best given the circumstances. On the first morning after a nights stay, the house keeping knocked on our door at 8am. We asked her to come back in a half hour and she never did. We went out and came back at 5pm and the room wasn't made up. I went to ask her and she didn't understand me. Luckily I knew enough Spanish to communicate and she apologized. No big deal. The blankets were sideways queen blankets for a king bed. When I asked for an extra blanket because the blanket doesn't fit the bed, they said they didn't have extra blankets. One per room. What hotel doesn't have extra blankets? The parking lot is awful. Small tight spaces that require even the smallest of cars to do 15-20 maneuvers to get in and out of spots. Often the parking lot gate was closed requiring us to make a left onto a busy road and go in another way. The vent fan in the bathroom wasn't functioning. The sink wouldn't drain unless you held it open. There's not great lighting and 2 of the 4 lights had bulbs out. I did tell staff and they fixed that. My room also didn't have towels I had to ask for them. The breakfast selections are adequate but the room is small and difficult to accommodate the number of people eating breakfast. The staff, for the most part, was courteous and helpful. The hotel is clean. It's just disappointing to pay over $200 a night and have basic amenities missing.

Friendly staff & great place from the second we arrived. Liz at the front desk, was so friendly, helpful & went above & beyond to make sure we had a great stay. She's also super knowledgeable about the area & can recommend some good places. The included breakfast is good & the rooms are clean & tidy. Would definitely stay there again.

Wow this hotel has it all!! Very clean, modern rooms, lovely pool, good breakfast choice, good parking and fantastic friendly staff! We are on a road trip around the West Coast and I only wish I came across these Sure Stay BW sooner, we are now in one down the road at Santa Monica which again is of the same high standard! Highly recommended!

The stay was great, it's super close and convenient. We stayed for 3 days and was always prompt with towels, breakfast and Liz from the front desk was super friendly! She was very helpful and informative to my friends that were visiting out of state! Thanks Liz! You rock!

I booked this hotel thru Expedia 4 months in advance and shortened my visit from 2 nights to 1. I called the hotel to verify that it was indeed shortened and they found my reservation and assured me that everything was in place. A day before my arrival I called the hotel to ask if they were selling discounted tickets to Universal and they said I had NO RESERVATION!! They were simply overbooked and I guess that a 1 night reservation didn't suit them so they simply bumped us off. TERRIBLE BEHAVIOUR. Finding a new hotel for a family of 6 in LA area in August was double the price. Lucky for us Expedia helped us resolve the problem by finding us a different hotel. I have to mention that on Expedia's side my reservation was still in place and valid but the hotel did not bother notifying them that it was canceled...

The team here were so very helpful and the room was very clean ... wishing we could have a few more days ... within 10-15 minute walk to Hollywood Boulevard so prime location ... would recommend for comfortable place to lay your head ... Liz at front deck was awesome in showing local highlights .. thanks

Loved the location. Liz at reception is awesome. Very knowledgeable about the area, and such a friendly personality!! The rooms are spotless and very comfortable. The area is a safe walking distance to Hollywood Blvd. The pool was a bonus!

I just spent 6 nights here & the hotel staff were fantastic. Liz was so friendly & helpful. The room was clean & modern & in a great location for walk of fame, shops & restaurants. Will definitely stay here again when I next visit LA

We absolutely loved staying here! Liz at the front desk was charming, full of recommendations, and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. The candy at the front desk, the fresh towels near the pool, the waffles with breakfast were lovely touches. Great location. Nice renovation (my friend had stayed before in 2015). Clean, safe, and affordable. What more do you want?

I choose this hotel over the internet from Australia. It looked quaint, with palm trees, heated pool, free parking and breakfast. I coudln't have been happier when I booked it! Today, we left LAX and went straight to this hotel. What an oasis in the middle of LA. Firstly, the front reception staff Lis was absolutely incredible. She greeted us with a genuine sense of welcome and warmth. Lis went the extra mile and personally walked us to our room - which was HUGE, clean, comfortable, modern and everything you could ever want. Lis could tell we were fresh to the LA scene, so she made sure we knew where to walk too, she came out to the street to personally show us where to go!! The walk was 15 minutes to be in the heart of LA Hollywood Activity and IN and OUT burger was 5 minutes away. I mentioned to Lis that I was keen to get some fresh fruit after so long on planes and she helped me find my way to the local fresh food supermarket. In the time that I was working out a plan, Lis bought us all some fresh fruit that she had and some bottled water and treats to our hotel room. I have never EVER been treated so kindly in a hotel before around the world. Do not hesitate to book this hotel - it is perfect!

We had a great time, Liz was really helpful and Nice. She told us good advices about Los Angeles, We really enjoyed the stayed, the swimming pool,... it is very close to Hollywood boulevard, you can go walking.

We spent 2 tonights at the Mondrian Hotel fancy lavish but lots of problems we spent 950 dollars , the following 2 night I called this hotel and Liz booked us a room in literally 2 minutes she matched the price from the other sites , offered me a great room she was amazing, we got to the hotel on the sunset blvd close to everything hollywood and west hollywood and beverly hills we paid 360 something dollars for 2 nights beautiful remodeled room , extremely clean everything new inside comfortable and she walked us to the room shook my hand and showed us the room I mean she was the kindest most amazing costumer service front desk person I have encounter after i argued with everybody for so many issues at the Mondrian 5 blocks down the road Thank you Liz you are amazing

I came here to stay for a week and I am so happy I stayed here. Liz at the front desk was very helpful and kind. She helped me with whatever I needed and made my stay super comfy. This hotel is amazing :)

The air conditioner's compressor sounded like it was going out. It was LOUD when it kicked on... sounded like I had a generator in the room. Woke me up every time it kicked on the first few days. Likewise, the air condition also had this weird whistle sound and it would occasionally trip it's own internal fuse and need reset. The bathroom is TINY and has no good storage. The bathroom mirror has GREAT lighting though! The USB charges in the lamps did not work. A housekeeper came in my room when I had the "Privacy Please" sign on my door handle. I only received replacement toiletries once during my 6 night stay.

Rooms were clean, the staff was friendly, pool was nice (although not that warm) and the breakfast was great. The woman at the front desk was very friendly and matched an online rate I showed her from hotels.com. We visited the West Hollywood bars & restaurants and it was a short Lyft ride away, so the location was perfect.

A great place to stay if you want to be close to the Hollywood Strip, Walk of Fame, Chinese theater, restaurants and Hollywood ambiance. Subway ride on the MetroLink to Universal is minutes from Hollywood/Highland. SureStay is a great place to stay, friendly staff, fresh breakfast, terrific pool....security was comforting, very nostalgic, we stayed in the Katherine Hepburn room, rooms were clean, bed comfortable, plenty of tv channels, air conditioning was great the room design is art deco and modern

The hotel was extremely clean and updated rooms with a very nice outdoor pool. Breakfast was very basic, but good to get the day started. The staff was very pleasant. For us, the location was great for the areas we wanted to visit: Universal Studios, The Original Farmer's Market, The Tar Pits, Chinese Theater, Hollywood Guitar Center, Hollywood Gold's Gym, The Comedy Store. Also, visited a friend that lived about 20 miles away while my grown boy's did their thing for a day from the hotel. They were close enough to venture out and keep busy. The parking at this hotel was a little challenging, but we managed just fine! One day we walked out to the Farmer's market and Tar Pits, we got a Lyft to the Chinese Theater and visited that area and walked back to our hotel. Figured that was easier than dealing with parking and cost about the same for 3 of us. Although, I think parking at the Farmer's market would have been ok once we got there. All in all, a wonderful stay at this hotel. (Fyi, there are a lot of homeless people in the area, but seemed to be a lot of areas that we went)

Just got back from staying at SureStay with my partner and another couple we had a family room between us lots of space and kept very clean. Definitely would recommend! Close walk to Hollywood walk of fame, perfect location! Breakfast average but good to grab a snack first thing in the morning. Would definitely stay here again if I came back to LA

My husband, granddaughter and I checked in on June 8. The moment we got in the room, we noticed the AC wasn't working. Called the front desk and Liz came up and fixed it right away. The beds were comfortable and the room is decorated nicely. There was very little space to unpack your belongings, and the bathroom had no counter space and tiny bins to one side for storage of cosmetics and such. We had to have the TV remote replaced because it didn't work. We found a tray of mac & cheese in the microwave which had been there for awhile! This was reported. We had to repeatedly ask for towels and had to get them for ourselves because no one brought them to us timely. And the parking situation here is difficult if you drive anything larger than a compact vehicle. On the plus side, however, the breakfast was pretty good each morning, the rooms have been recently remodeled and were basically clean (except for the microwave). There is a grocery store across the street which is convenient. The pool is small but clean. The location is great for sightseeing in Hollywood, as it is only a few blocks to Hollywood Boulevard, and very close to Universal Studios.

Liz at the front desk is wonderful, has a cheerful attitude, & provided us with clean towels whenever we asked. The parking is free, however squeezing in can be challenging at times. Will definitely come again!

I've been coming to this hotel for the last six months and I've had zero complaints which is surprising given Hollywood is always full of surprises lol. The hotel has been recently renovated and the rooms are always clean. It's a big plus to have free breakfast and free parking - It's very nice to drive in and find whichever parking spot I want! The staff is very friendly and courteous. During the day I have Matt from the staff who is always helpful with anything I need, and during the evening I have Liz who is very very nice and has accommodated me in many ways throughout my stays - she has made me feel like I'm at home. If you are looking for an inexpensive stay given the area and want to feel welcomed, I highly recommend this hotel and the staff.

I have lived in Hollywood for over a decade and moved away about a year ago however I come here once a month to work and I stay at the sunset west hotel ..This place has not given me a great reason to not come back - yes , we've had some small mishaps (life is not perfect) I keep coming back though because Liz from the Hotel staff has ALWAYS made it better and she does it with a positive attitude! I appreciate her very much - it's hard to be away from home sometimes and she has truly made me feel like home ! the hotel is clean and it's relatively quiet (let's not forget we are In Hollywood on sunset blvd) I have all my work schedule dates ready for the rest of the year and I hope to keep coming back.

The front desk staff was extremely helpful. They answered many questions and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The pool was beautiful! The kids loved it! The AC in our room wasn't working when we arrived and someone came right away to fix it. We were in a family room with three beds. The room was very spacious but there is no AC in the bedroom so the door had to remain open to keep that room cool. It kind of defeated the purpose of a suite. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

It's a neat and tidy hotel on the Sunset blvd, very close to the Walk of Fame. The staff was amazing and very helpful. The pool was, however, closed when we were there. The buffet breakfast was free and decent. Short drive to Hollywood and Rodeo Drive.

Stayed for four nights in a king room. Excellent value. Rooms are renovated and are of a decent size. Located south of the Walk of Fame. All Hollywood sights within walking range (Kodak Theater, Grauman's Chinese Theater, El Capitan etc). We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Especially because of Liz (front desk) and Junior (security). They took their time with our needs and were always helpful. We'll definitely come back for another visit!

Awesome service and nice clean place to stay! Definitely recommend this place! We had no issues and everything was right by our hotel. Staff was very knowledgeable about surrounding activities as well.

Friendly staff-from front desk to housekeeping all went out of their way to greet us. Clean rooms-love the fact that there is no carpet. Often times I dislike hotel carpets especially when they are not cleaned. Decent value-cost of our stay was a great value that also included breakfast. Parking was a little tight. Only downfall was that the walls were on the thin side and you can hear the neighbors conversation word for word.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights while in Hollywood. Great central location and rooms very modern and clean. Front desk supervisor was very good and helpful when asked. Few downsides was it was very noisy from the streets at all hours of the night as well as the Air conditioner making loud noises. The breakfast was also poorly organised with 3 tables to cater for the 30 people who were there during the morning. And pool also closed. Got a late checkout which was also helpful. Definitely would stay again in future despite the noise and breakfast issues.

Room is exceptionally clean and very good location. Staff are also very polite. The breakfast lets this property down a lot as the room for guests is so small no one can eat. Also the amount of breakfast available is terrible

My husband and I have stayed at Sunset West Hotel a few times this year. The hotel is clean, safe and located near famous attractions.The staff is wonderful. Liz at the front desk has been especially helpful. Each time she has gone above and beyond the call of duty to make our stay comfortable.

We stayed here for two nights whilst visiting universal. Great location, only 15 min drive to universal and 10 min walk to Hollywood boulevard for stars walk and Chinese theatre etc. Breakfast was a Good choice - cereal, eggs, ham, waffles (you make your own with ready made batter) toast, bagels etc. Good enough to start the day without going elsewhere. The rooms were good sized, modern and clean. It's was a bit noisy from outside the box which the kids didn't mind but I'm a light sleeper but I wear ear plugs so no problem. Kids enjoyed the pool which was heated. Would stay here again.

Best Western is doing a rehab on this property and it should be a comfortable stay when complete. All mattresses are brand new w/ furnishings. Details like towel racks, door weatherstripping and chairs would complete the rooms. Also need to upgrade TV reception issues. Close to tourist sights and has its own parking which is hard to find at other hotels in area. Breakfast is better than many free offers elsewhere.

Booked this room for a concert and I think now it is my groups go to hotel. The staff was super friendly and stepped out of the office to show us the pool and where the room was. Rooms amenities are great.

They had broken items, room phone didn't work, cable didn't work, warm water not hot, coffee maker didn't work, parking was behind sketchy area, and location is not for family. Refined other hotel next day for better price and better hotel!

Location was walking distance to hollywood blvd and a couple miles to universal studios hollywood the reason for our family fun vacation. Just a minor discomfort with the parking but overall everything was great breakfast was awesome

Room was recently renovated and spotlessly clean. More important, Julio and Mac in the front office were some of the nicest and most helpful hotel employees I've encountered in years of travel. Always a ready smile and great advice. In the end, it's great service which makes a visit memorable. We will not hesitate to stay here again when next in LA. Tony, Don't lose these guys!! Parking, though extremely tight, was free. Icing on the cake. Pool was sparkling clean, but the weather was just a bit too cool for me to use. Location was phenomenal for the touristy things my family wanted. Sunset Blvd is a traffic disaster, like most of LA, so give yourself lots of time to branch out or make appointments. Even my picky family was pleased: we stayed 3 nights here during a wide ranging 2 week vacation covering several cities and and really appreciated this property.

We've had really good customer service, especially from Liz at reception who is really helpful. She quickly sorted out some issues we had, we booked a family room and it was a lot more room than expected. Breakfast is also really good quality and a lot of options

Overall stay was fair. Rooms are newly renovated and appear clean. However, there were a few strands of hair (not mine) that were in the bathroom. Wifi good. Conveniently located near attractions, restaurants, bus line, and grocery store. Hotel is located on busy street so getting a good nights rest after a long day of sightseeing is out of the question. Who visits hollywood to sleep anyway, right?! ALOT of homeless people around area. Good selection of breakfast items(waffles, cereal, pastries, eggs, sausage). Check in/out quick.

The hotel was centered in a convenient location, close to Hollywood and Universal studios which where we went! Breakfast was an added plus, as we are a party of 7 and any meals included help out so much financially! The only thing I didn't like was the parking , it was very contested and if you are driving an SUV make sure your parking skills are great if not you'll have a very hard time parking.

Rooms have been nicely updated. Staff, especially Liz, was very helpful and courteous. Breakfast was OK. This is a GREAT location for visiting Hollywood. The room rate includes safe and secure parking.

I liked this hotel, it's small but its nicely decorated in a contemporary style. It is clean and everything worked as intended, it is well taken care of. Be advice that parking is a little tight to park at certain spots, specially with big vehicles. I had a midsized SUV but I had no issues. But if you have a big vehicle you may have to do special arrangements like park on the exterior of the property. The breakfast room is small. It only has 3 tables so you may have to take the food to your room like I did. But hey free, decent, breakfast. The location is convenient, only 10 to 15 minute walk from the walk of fame. Overall, I enjoyed my stay. I would definitely stay there again.

The area is full of homeless people, some in tents across the street. The hotel is overpriced for the level of quality. Two star in my opinion. Not at all what I was expecting and I would not go back to the hotel or the area. Sunset Boulevard is not what I imagined

Highly recommend! The staff here go above an beyond and made us feel right at home from the moment we checked in.A warm welcome and continuous friendliness from Liz and Hulio. Dre the security guard on duty at night. Such a nice, easy to talk to warm and friendly person. Always had time for us and we always enjoyed his chats. Kept an eye out on everything and everyone always felt safe knowing he was around. Location is great, short walk to Hollywood walk of fame. Ralph's across the road made it really convenient. Won tatay anywhere else when we visit. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

A big shout out to Liz and Julio for their warm welcome at this hotel, Liz went out of her way to show me around and point out restaurants and tours, she regularly checked in with us and gave great service. The hotel might not be 5 star but expect 5 star service. Located close and in walking distance of all major attractions, the 24h shop across the road is a big added consideration. The area is busy and noisy but location with access to sights is worth it if you want to experience the energy of West Hollywood. Breakfast is small and limited but at the price well worth it and included. If ever in Hollywood I would stay here again.

Location is great in close proximity to the Hollywood sign, Hollywood and vine, Beverly Hills, Griffith park. Roooms are recently renovated, great tile floor with microwave and minidfridge. Staff, like Liz, were extremely nice and accommodating.

Hotel is in a great location, near the Hollywood sigh and the Griffith observatory, waking/scootering distance to the walk of fame and Madame Tussaud's museum. Free parking and include breakfast, the breakfast changes daily which is nice. The rooms are renovated and decorated nicely. It's clean and comfortable, exactly what you need if you plan to explore the city a lot! The staff especially Liz are friendly and keep the place running smooth and clean. There's a pool too! It's freshly painted. Microwave and mini fridge in the room, the only thing is the cable is terrible!

I Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights over the Oscars weekend. I was able to have a late checkout for no extra payment. Plus leave my bags in the lobby until 9pm the day of checkout. As I had a 11:30pm flight back to Australia. The lady at the front desk (Liz) was incredible. I waited in the lobby for 3 hours, she let me charge my phone, supplied me with bottled water and we had a friendly chat about the oscars, as I was watching it on my tablet. As far as the room are concerned ...it's all you need. Great blackout blinds too. I can really recommend this hotel as it's close to everything. But most importantly the hospitality I received from Liz was something I will never forget

I chose this hotel as it is quite close to my friends apartment. I was very pleasantly surprised at the newly remodeled fixtures, cleanliness of the room and, Friendlyness of the staff. The check in and out was effficient and effortless. Liz at the front desk was extremely warm and welcoming. She made it known that she was available for any questions or concerns I my have had. I felt well taken care. Thank you Liz! I'll be back very soon. : )

I am a repeat guest because of the treatment I received from Liz who works 3-12 Midnight. I thought she was the GM, she should be! She recognized me coming back, left a welcome note on my door, remembered me and my Son Wade, congratulated him on his journey with American Idol. Gave us a welcome drink and snack bag, her customer service was just above and beyond. I am coming back in April to this property because of Liz, she needs a promotion and a raise!

I've stayed here twice & will probably stay here again. Front desk staff is very friendly, and the evening attendant Liz was especially helpful in helping me access wifi. On the plus side: good central location, clean & well-appointed rooms, free off-street parking, accommodating staff. Only downsides are the traffic noise from being right on Sunset and the rooms are on the smaller side.

We stayed for three nights. The location is excellent, very close to the walk of fame and in front of a 24-hour supermarket. The room was fine, the service was really good, the lady at the reception, Liz, was really kind and helpful at all times.

Exceptionally clean and very friendly office staff. Tough parking if you have a large vehicle. Breakfast had a variety of choices including hot and cold dishes: Belgian waffles, eggs, sausage, orange and apple juice, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, variety of breads and pastry, etc.

Great find in LA. Rooms newly renovated, comfy beds and updated look. Free breakfast is great - waffles, eggs, bagels, fruit, coffee and juice. Liz the manager is super helpful and staff are friendly. Free parking. My new go to place to stay in West Hollywood. Plus free parking! Next to big grocery store ( fridge and microwave in room ). This is my second stay already.

I arrived at the hotel to check-in and the lady on the check in was very friendly and polite and very helpful , I like to say a big thank you to Liz for all her help. And the breakfast and the room was just what we needed, Will recommend to my Family

The rooms are freshly renovated and Liz at the front desk is particularly exceptional; kind, cheerful, and always at the ready to ensure a comfortable stay. Definitely recommend for anyone visiting Hollywood.

We stayed 4 nights and Liz was awesome. She let us use the breakfast room so we would have enough room to play some games with friends that met us the. She was very friendly and spent time with every guest and explained where and what was going on around the area. On a side note, wasn't too pleased with the rooms that I had(2), the first one the air unit did not work(it was fixed the next day), she moved me to another room, but the cable was not hooked up in that room and the the microwave did not work either. Over all our stay was great and Liz made it better, thanks Liz.

We were happy with this place. The rooms were clean and the staff were friendly. The breakfast was fresh and they had a lot of variety of hot and cold food. The only negative thing was at night we could hear traffic outside but that didnt bother us.

All in all ok... rooms modernised , plenty parking , within walking distance of all main attractions and breakfast fine. Pool also looked Nice and clean . Main issue was the smell of marijuana in our room was enough to make you high, it almost catches the back of your throat and although I know it's legal in Cali , I think smoking of any sort in rooms is unpleasant and that smell particularly. Also road noise was pretty loud . Good price for location and service provided .

This Hotel is a gem in the Hollywood area.this place has been regutted and redone with a total reteo Hollywood Art Deco. This us our 2nd time staying in this Lovely Hotel. We where here in Hollween and Liz the concierge front desk agent is very helpful with a great customer service to it's best. She saw us today at check in and greet us with a friendly hug. We felt like coming home to family. We rented the Marlene Monroe family room. Highy recomed it. We will come again and again.

I have stayed for 5 nights at SureStay, and have experienced some pros and cons. For the advantages, the location, breakfast, and price were good. However, I have faced some issues with the electricity outlets, internet connection, floor cleaning, and mattress and pillows quality. The outlets were weirdly located in very difficult places that can't be reached. My phone couldn't get connected to the wifi. Every time the housekeeping cleaned the room, they left the floor kind of sticky. The major issue I didn't like is that the mattress and pillows were kind of hard which caused me some headache after sleeping.

Great value, great service and management, and great location! We were only 10 minutes away from Universal (one of the main reasons for booking in the first place) and the pool was heated, which my children really loved. Liz was great and made sure we were comfortable (got us extra towels for the pool, made sure we knew everything about the accommodations on site and so on). The room was clean and comfortable. We got a family room which had a room with two queen beds in it and then an extra room with another queen bed. The parking was away from the road and protected for the night. The only reason I give this place 4 stars instead of 5 is that I wish they had more of a selection of breakfast cereal and fruit at the breakfast bar. It would have been nice if they offered oatmeal, non-sugar cereals. Did love the waffles and bagels and my kids loved the eggs and ham/sausage. Overall, our stay went well and we would stay again!

Visited Oct 2017. Excellent location. Basic rooms a bit tired but very clean. Could do with updating especially the bathrooms. Pool was filthy I wouldn't have gone in. For an affordable trip to Tinseltown I would recommend this hotel, if you can afford to pay more then I would though!

During my stay here I was more then made comfortable and helped .. I've had to stay longer then thought due to some living issues and construction ... I couldn't feeel more overly helped .. Liz by far is the most sweetest she has a positive attitude and has made things so smooth and helpful while my stay here .. Mac the manager has also been such a great help .. most of the maids have such positive and cheerful attitudes I would definitely recommend and is a great location plus who can't beat free breakfast :)

Location - fantastic. 2 blocks up to Hollywood where all the action is. The room - fantastic. We had 2 adults and 2 teenagers and our room easily accommodated all of us with ease and was well appointed. Lets face it, when in LA you are out and about most of the time. The pool did the job, the breakfast was an easy start to the day [it wasn't amazing but it was something], free parking and free wifi. Value - we searched for a room that made sense and this did. Was great value. Noise - this was our only issue. Wasn't the noise from the street it was the noise above. The floors have a laminated wood covering which doesn't absorb the noise so when the people above us were clomping around at night we heard them coming through the floor. So my recommendation would be to book an upstairs room.

We booked this location to see a taping of America's Got Talent. The location is only a 10min drive from Hollywood Blvd near the Dolby Theatre. We called ahead because of a late check in and it was no problem. We arrived at the hotel about 10pm and check in was a breeze. They first gave us a room that had very poor lighting in the restroom and it was really HOT in the room. They relocated us to a room that backed up to Sunset Blvd. The traffic noise was pretty bad! Police and fire truck Sirens going all night. The hotel is in a Very busy part of West Hollywood. The second room was ok but smelled kind musty. The shower was horrible! It was like like standing in a light rain trying to shower. We didn't like the fact that the door lock had issues and there is no security lock latch on the door. There is a security guy there in the lot a night and he stays in his vehicle and walks the property randomly. They do offer a continental breakfast. It's not bad but the coffee machine and juice machine were both out of order. But there is a Coffee maker in the room. All in all it's an okay place but the traffic in and around the area is beyond Ridiculous! It worked for our needs but doubt we will be returning..

Never judge a book by its covers. The hotel is great value for money. The rooms are neat, clean and sizeable. Prior to coming to the hotel, i had stayed at a Hilton in Carlifornia and i was so disappointed but this Hotel was a super find. The staff were nice too and it was great value for money for the location. Breakfast was basic but also manageable. Plus side, there was no charge to my credit card for incidentals unlike the other hotel i stayed at. Location was fantastic, right on Sunset Blvd which is close to Hollywood Blvd and the centre of all. Free breakfast which was basic but okay. The room also had all the basic amenities. It felt like a luxury motel but i loved it. As a Supernatural fan, I kind of felt the Winchester boys vibes a little. :)

We booked this to be centrally based for Hollywood, The beach, Universal etc and it served the purpose. We were a bit concerned having read some reviews but you get what you pay for. A clean refurbished motel with comfortable beds a good basic breakfast with coffee waffles toast cereal. Not the Hilton but then also not the price. We were a family of 4 in one room which was cosy and not a great deal of space but sufficient for our needs. Only gripe nowhere to hang wet towels and when you have four that's a problem! The pool was fine for a refreshing dip after a long day sightseeing. Walking distance to the Chinese theatre and if you want a great meal just pop over the road to the Brazilian restaurant - fantastic !!

When you see motor hotel you never know what you're going to find unless you do your research. This motel exceeds all expectations for comfort and cleanliness. The rooms have been renovated and have a modern look with comfy beds and new linens as well as a large desk area with flat screen TVs and refrigerator and microwave. The location is close to Hollywood attractions and a short drive to west Hollywood. I really liked the convenience to the Ralph's grocery store which also has a Starbucks inside and next to a Domino's Pizza. Staff there is great and always ready to answer any questions. Not too many downsides to the hotel except for small parking lot and what looked like a tiny breakfast area in the lobby just to grab a quick bagel, juice and coffee. Also not sure if they just haven't been installed yet but there's almost no outlets except for the two next to the bed and bathroom ( stayed in a 2 doubles).This only is an inconvenience if you need to plug in something near the desk or TV area such as a laptop.

I stayed in this hotel a while ago but I was just reminded of the awful time I had here as I came across it again when looking for a hotel. The rooms were disgusting, musty and dirty. A bottle of perfume went missing from our room (not a massive deal but I knew it was there and it had definitely been taken), spoke to reception a number of times about this and told me to go and confront the cleaners myself, who barely spoke English so you can imagine how far I got with this. Guy on reception was rude and just kept telling me to come back the next day, and then the next day to speak to the manager who never actually appeared. They do not care at all about their guests and their customer service is ZERO. After reading other reviews I think i was lucky to only have a bottle of perfume go missing!

Great and clean hotel, loved it easy to get around from here lots of stuff around about 45mins from the airport about 30 mins to the beach in an uber, uber is a great way to get around L.A, on hot days the pool is great

I would like to be hard on this hotel but it would be wrong. When we arrived they were in the process of redecorating and things were a bit upside down. The room though was newly decorated and very clean. The Wi-Fi was a tad iffy and room lights didn't work, on investigation it was only a plug not connected. The pool looks a little dilapidated but hopefully this will be sorted after the hotel has finished the exterior. All in all it's a nice little hotel and some of the main attractions are very close. The Hollywood Walk of Fame being three to four blocks away.

We stayed one night at the Saharan Motor Motel and one night was more then I wanted. The check in process was seamless. We then carried all of our luggage upstairs to room 238. As we opened the door it was a bit musty smelling. The comforter had some stains on it so we quickly took that off the bed. As I entered the bathroom I stepped over a broken thresh hold to a rickety sink and toilet. There were holes in the flooring, the sink had cracks, and looked like they forgot to finish their Sheetrock job. Then to find some red splatter on the wall next to the sink about did me in. Ugh. I went to take a shower to find the shower knob broken. Gross just gross.

A classic motel right in the middle of Hollywood. The location can not be better, and the service at the reception is great. Friendly and prompt service. Rooms are recently renovated and now they are working on the facade and pool area. I hope they do not change it too much, as I very much like the classic motel style.
