First j rang hotel asking where I should park and was sent to a car park that closes with a £30 fine plus your hours parked if you leave car after hours so had to street park in the end. The room was faultless and j sleepted well. The Breakfast was terrible for the price I was expecting a full English only to find out the only cooking was a boiled egg which was not ready and was told I would have to wait 5 minutes for, there was toast with ham and cheese but if you wanted toast with a spread the only option was honey unbelievable for what the price including breakfast was. Save your money and get breakfast somewhere else.
The hotel is lovely, the rooms spacious and the staff are friendly and helpful. My only concerns are security and cleanliness. At times there was nobody at reception and someone could quite easily walk in and use the lift, which doesn't need to be accessed by a room pass. The carpet in my room was incredibly unclean, I noticed this in the morning, that my feet looked extremely dirty and I had a shower before I went to bed. I wore socks during the morning in the room to ensure it wasn't in my head and lo and behold they were badly dirty. The breakfast wasn't value for money as had very little option. It's such shame as it is a lovely hotel.
This is the second time I have stayed here the first was in June of this year and check in was great however we got to the room to find the balcony room we paid extra for actually did not open. Stayed again in August and got to check in to be told that the hotel had no aircon and they were unsure if and when it would be fixed. Stayed in room 201 and pulled the curtain back to find dust and many cobwebs which proved a deep clean has not been done in a long time. Can not fault the reception staff they were incredible.
Breakfast was terrible, served until 10am but at 9:15 already empty. No choice at all, coffee machine was out, Orange juice was all exept orange juice (like tang powder mixed in water) Air conditionnig was out The hotel is just near the train rails... very noisy
An awful hotel. Poor reception, ( in every sense) , dingy decor, air conditioning in the room not working ( “ an engineer is on his way” — bet he still is), safe not working, no drinks- not even water- in the fridge, no cooked breakfast option….all against the background of the busy railway line immediately behind. And it's part of their “ Signature Collection “! Never again.
DISGUSTINFG DEPLORABLE DISPICABLE. Chrcking in i was greeted by a ripped headboard and a severely stained floor. Furthermore the patio door would nit shut either. Having taken my money I was offered no alternative room whatsoever as i was told it was fully booked. The bedroom is in a dusgustibg state. The room 210 should not of been renting out in this mess and furthermore another guest in 209 wqs openly smoking majaruna! Its taken me umpteen emails and phone calls to get any attention. I have been constantly told by the staff on reception both on saturday and sunday that they arent empowered to process a refund and only the manager can do that. There is NO escalation path and a complete lack of customer service. A complete and utter shambles.AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS
Worst stay I've ever had. Room was dirty, bathroom stinks of drains, air conditioning not working on hottest day of the year, windows broken so couldn't open, bathroom locks broken, wifi signal didn't reach the room, lights coming on and off randomly because of the idiotic sensors. It was horrible. The staff were barely interested in providing a service or caring about working in a hotel. We left after one night into our two night stay and went to a great little place up the road, run by people who didn't think a hotel should resemble a bin fire
This is the west hotel experience I have ever had. The hotel was filthy, smelt bad. The room terrace/ balcony that is advertised was closed off and filthy, with hotel staff stating the regulators banned them from using it. Fridge was empty and they said they would charge me to put my own bottle of water in the fridge. The WiFi also did not work and when I asked when I could expect it to work they said they do not know. I have never had an experience as awful as this within the hospitality industry. I implore your to book ANY other hotel within the Putney area. I know understand why this hotel is always empty.
Stayed for one night after Wimbledon. Decent location, next to the station and some bars where I watched the England game. Near the train track but it wasn't that loud. TV in bedroom which was useful. Breakfast was a decent continental - don't expect hot bacon but they had cold boiled eggs. My shower was cold which was very annoying.
The room smelt of smoke, we opened the windows during the day but the smell was still there. Carpets were dirty. Breakfast is continental only and not really worth the money. They say there is parking nearby - it is on street parking and free overnight, but during the day you can only stay for 1 hour max.
If it wasn't for points redemption, wouldn't have stayed an hour longer in the hotel. Staff is no doubt really helpful, but the hotel is no more than a roadside lodge.
If you want to get to know London, it is very good because it is in a location where you can park your car for little money and go by train to visit the tourist attractions (there is a station very close to the hotel).
Room was dark , smelt of damp and just had a general feel of uncleanliness Shower flooded bathroom, literally stood in pool of water cleaning my teeth . Empty shower gel containers and toilet didn't look like it had been cleaned in a while . Net curtains were just filthy , they obviously should have been white but more like a disgusting shade of yellow .
We had an incredible stay at this hotel! Cristina made our experience truly exceptional - she's the best! If you ever need anything while staying here, Cristina will take care of it with a smile. We can't wait to return to this wonderful place. Thank you for the amazing hospitality!
I recently stayed at this hotel and had a fantastic experience. The location is incredibly convenient, being just a stone's throw away from the train station. The reception staff were friendly and welcoming, making check-in a breeze. The room was clean, comfortable, and provided everything I needed for a pleasant stay. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a convenient and comfortable accommodation option.
Very nice and helpful staff, accommodating and flexible. A real pleasure to talk to them! The rooms are a very big and very clean. Breakfast is also quite basic but served in a bright spacious room. Good location. For us it was the best price compared to other places we stayed in London but I guess you can probably get a good deal.
It was a lovely experience i stayed here fom my business meeting. The hotel is next to the train station which is very convenient. My room was Very beautiful room with balcony and the beds was very comfy.Staff was very friendly and helpful check in and out was very quick. I really enjoyed my stay. Will definitely come back again.
We were looking forward to staying here, especially as we knew it was new and had high expectations. However once we had got to our room we quickly realised that the bathroom was disgusting, I don't want to go into too much detail but it's safe to say the toilet was not clean at all. We asked to change rooms and the girl who worked there was nice about it, even saying herself that would make her throw up. Go to second room, exact same issue. Third room - toilet was clean(ish) but you could see on the mirror that there were toothpaste marks and product marks all along the shower glass door. It just made us think if it's so unclean in here, have they actually cleaned the rooms at all? At this point it was our third room and we had no energy to ask to move again, so we put up with it which in hindsight I wished we hadn't but we'd already paid. After complaint, they agreed to give us a 25% refund of the booking price, even though I asked for a full refund. I would never go there again, nor would I recommend it to anyone else, unless you're happy sleeping in a dirty room - especially in the midst of COVID-19.
If you take the staff out of the equation this would be 4/5. The rooms are perfectly clean and adequate. Breakfast is really nice. Well the staff. How unfriendly. They were moody and unhelpful. They got the bill wrong and not even an apology. Staying at premier inn next time!
Its a Friday night....it's late and I just want a bath, a drink and to go to bed. There's no bath (but there's a shower)...however the water pressure is dire...so that's not good. There's no bar, or restaurant, which doesn't bode well for breakfast...but we'll get to that later. They have free Wifi and he hotel is well situated with access to trains and buses. It seems to be a relatively new build or refurb building so that's a plus....... The bed is comfortable enough....but there's that underlying feeling that the room just isn't clean.....you know the way you just get that feeling sometimes - can't quite put my finger on it....and I really don't wan to go rooting around to back up my suspicions ....i just know something's not right. I'll leave it at that. Suffice to say, the carpet wasn't clean at all. Selection of TV channels...considering this is LONDON.....is poor...very poor...almost laughable. Right. Sleep....bed was comfortable as I said before. Had a room at the back of the hotel overlooking the railway tracks....that didn't really have any effect on me....the windows seem to be double glazed enough to block out the noise - so kudos there. Breakfast. NOT GOOD. There is no restaurant in situ, so I was given a voucher for breakfast in a cafe up the road (maybe 30m away??) I was told, when i got there that I had a choice of three items.....and a lesser choice of uncleared dirty tables. I ordered scrambled eggs on toast. I got cold eggs on a cold plate with warm bread. Coffee was dreadful. I booked a two night stay in this establishment, which entitled me to two breakfasts.....I couldn't eat breakfast on the second morning because the cafe was full....i was told there was a waiting list and that i should come back in an hour. Suffice to say that's just not good enough. Complaints to their email address illicit a generic response in the form of a 15% refund and a further 15% discount off a future booking. I know its generic, because verbatim, (with the exception of my name at the top of the email) i know of another reply with exactly the same wording and offer. I accepted neither offer on the basis that the service and accommodation were sub par, and as a result, a further booking is never going to happen. Similarly, I think that TripAdvisor readers should read real reviews, by real people about real incidents....and not have the cracks papered over. Would I recommend this hotel? Eh............no. Poor accommodation. Poor service. Poor communication. Overall poor. I was going to give a 3 star rating, but, on reflection....and I've had plenty of time to reflect (this review is NOT a knee-jerk reaction) I've decided it didn't provide even half of the service I expect, so it's 2 stars from me. I'm not being bitter, and I'm not being petty. All I expect is value for money...or at least the service I paid for - sadly neither are applicable in this instance. Get your act together Putney Hotel.
Beautiful rooms warm atmosphere , very big and comfortable, good view and balcony. Nice staff polite and efficient. Perfect location close to train station, pub restaurants and shops. Definitely I will come back
Walking into the rather spartan reception - admittedly the hotel is going through a refurb - expectations were not high. But the room, overlooking the railway track, was excellent. Had clearly just been kitted out. Would definitely return.
Stunning large room with all amenities. Positive attitude ended when I showered and open shower flooded the bathroom and the bedroom carpet. I spent ages wringing out towels trying to mop it up. Was awoken by a street brawl from the pub across the road that lasted 45 mins from midnight. Road noise was bad but pedestrian noise was worse. Sons room had midnight caller insisting it was their room. Daughters shower also flooded bathroom. Beer delivery at 6 woke me up. Air con did not work, so overall sleep was shocking only non existent!
A modern new property with close transport links. A great find. The staff are very attentive and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The rooms are very spacious for a London property and very tastefully decorated.
This hotel is being refurbished and overall is clean, comfortable and convenient. However the management could improve little things such as 1) Not having a motion sensor to switch light on by the door. Totally unnecessary, and wakes up sleeping partner in the middle of the night 2) Not having the (empty) fridge at the bottom of the bed. It impedes access around the bed. 3) Having a shelf by sink in bathroom. There is not enough room on the sink and so one has to store stuff on the floor 4) Having curtains that fit- they are too long and look untidy (Of course this may not be true of all rooms) Also receptionist not well informed about breakfast options at nearby cafe (restaurant shut due to refurbishment)
Anna is very helpful person The hotel is very nice n comfortable Near to punty station Anna help us to know what is best around the place n yes there is nice India food place near to hotel Holy cow Rooms r big n worth of value
Positives: clean and large room, good tv and internet, reception and restaurant staff friendly, powerful shower, takeaways within walking distance, very close to station Negatives: wasn't given a soap/shower gel, room service didn't appear to be an option, No welcome information in the room, noisy at night as on the main road, No light above mirror in the room, maid only emptied the bins but didn't make the bed
We stayed in this hotel over the weekend and have to say can not fault this place at all. We stayed in the room with balcony and absolutely loved it. Decor was beautifully done in contemporary style and staff was absolutely lovely. All the facilities up to standard and service is some thing to look up to. We will definitely stay here again.
This hotel is a short walk from Putney Station and was very handy for where I had to be for my 3 nights stay. The hotel is brand new with very nice operational rooms. Small reception area with a welcoming receptionist is what greets you on arrival. There is lift although I preferred stairs to my 1st floor room which was quite despite being on a busy high street. The price I paid was very reasonable given the location and the standard of accommodation. Lots of very nice eating options around the hotel and a lovely breakfast place 2 shop from the hotel. I will definitely stay here again and would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in the area.
I left at 10:15 this morning and returned after midnight. The cleaning woman left my door unlocked and physically open! I have traveled allot to many areas of the world and this has never happened to me before nor anyone I know! The maid had been in the room and changed out my towels. She left her green cleaning rag in the bathroom sink!!!! She did not empty the trash or replace the empty tissue box that she had moved. The hotel is only one month old. They did a "Soft Open" so don't have maps to provide. They don't print out anything from the computer either to help with directions. They do not give information about what is happening with demonstrations that are closing different train stations each day. That is something they should know and advise tourists about! I walked the 15 minutes to the Underground and found it locked due to these demonstrations. What I learned from someone there is that there have been periodic shutdowns over the past few days. This evening my family gave me a website to download so that I can try to keep up with this as a traveler in London. I would expect a hotel to educate people on such an important issue. On another note, I ignored the fact that the maid failed to make my bed for 2 days (I had pulled up the cover most of the way; she failed to finish the bed). There is no clock in the room. There is no lobby to sit while waiting for someone or something. The good is that the bed is comfortable and the location is good. There is a refrigerator in the room. The front staff have all been very nice. If food is not included with your room cost, trust me when I say there are several restaurants half the price for breakfast within a block. Based upon my experience I would never again stay here. There are enough other options for the same price.
