"THIS IS NO LONGER A HOTEL"
J8698NCchrisb, 14 Juin 2021

Had a booking for June 2021 which was booked over a year in advance. Arrived only to find out this is no longer a hotel! Showed up to find out out it has been turned into some kind of refugee / asylum seekers camp! Rather than walking into a reception, we were greeted by someone sat in what used to be the reception area behind what's basically a wallpapering table and all the windows were blacked out. Very disappointed the website we used to make the booking or the hotel didn't inform us, and to make this worse the website for the hotel is still active and gives the impression this can still be booked (maybe this is a temporary change but should still be highlighted). Had to book an alternative stay in central London instead.

"Good for parking, decor needs a refresh"
Blair_P1985, 02 Août 2020

Stayed here for an overnight stay. Good to be able to park the car for free. Hotel is quite average - in need of a refresh in terms of decoration. TV did not work in the room. Perfectly fine for a short stay.

"One night"
Sean233, 03 Mars 2020

I visited this hotel for one night stay over everything from checking in was very spot on I was early they let me check in early with no problems the staff are so friendly and helpful I'll b back no problem

"Not the cleanest "
Lydia B, 13 Février 2020

Stayed here for work. Room was adequate with a good breakfast. The only downside was the cleanliness. I found stains on the skirt around the bed (looked like sneeze...) as well as hair and other dirt down the side of the shower. There were also toothpaste drips on the complimentary shampoo bottle and around the sink. The bed linen was clean and the inside of the shower which is all that really matters, however it was unnerving to know that everywhere else won't have been cleaned.

"Will I ever get my loyalty points?"
Stuart J, 08 Février 2020

I'm a Diamond member and have now made 3 requests to get my points. No luck so far! Very overpriced hotel...I paid £125....no evening meals they send out and I paid £25 for a steak that was terrible. The breakfast was good.i only stayed there because I'm aloyalty member and I find I don't get the points!!

"Good hotel"
ANDREW B, 27 Janvier 2020

Good hotel with excellent service from all members of staff. Reception staff are particularly helpful and attentive. Rooms OK, getting a little tired in some areas now, but still clean. Still not sure about the ordering of food in for dinner.

"Perfect for our needs"
RazzyBthefirst, 16 Janvier 2020

We often use this hotel for football trips and sometimes for other visits. I've mentioned before the convenience, not far from the end of the M1 and recently staying at a hotel in Cricklewood, we appreciated how easy it is to access the Palm. Parking in Cricklewood was £30 a night and it's free at the Palm if available as it often is. Access to London is best by bus, catch it just down the road. Coming back is more tricky and we used Golders Green tube, a bit of a walk and I'd suggest not ideal for a lot of people. Lovely welcome this time, 2 friendly young ladies arranged an early check in and genuinely took interest in the reason for our visit. Hotel is a bit rough around the edges, took us a while to find the room and the carpets are a bit past their best. The sink had some minor damage to it and the glass shelf was on a slant. Breakfast has really improved. Good fresh fruit, a coffee machine and toaster and a flat screen TV. The food appeared to be of an improved quality. Good value for what we paid.

"Reasonably average"
Martin H, 12 Janvier 2020

Stayed here for a business trip recently. Staff were able to assist with queries. Rooms are clean, well equipped, functional. Dinner not provided on site but access is provided to in room dining via a delivery service through a mobile app. Details in room, works well. Rates are about average for the area.

"Pleasant hotel room"
jamee246, 11 Janvier 2020

Stayed here for a trip to London. It was quite a walk to the closest train station (15 minutes), we also got lost a few times trying to find it. So location for us wasn't the best. Then again we couldn't score the hotel less for this as it was a great price! So definitely value for money still. We managed to get parked no problems which was a bonus. Hotel room it's self was nice it was clean and tidy and had the relevant necessities including hair dryer, drink glasses, towels, fridge, tv, internet etc. Nice little toiletries included. I would recommend this hotel.

"Not a very Merry Christmas at the Best Western Palm Hotel"
travelgoondumaster, 08 Janvier 2020

This hotel does not know how to handle a crisis and how to show courtesy as they do not respond to feedback given to help them improve. We stayed with them for eight nights in total. There was a 2 hour blackout on Christmas Eve at the hotel and we were literally and physically left in a dark hotel room with no lights, no heating and no one coming around to check or inform on on what was happening. It seems that there was a power trip at a sub-station providing power to the hotel by the town council. Nonetheless, the welfare and needs of the guests should be the responsibility of the hotel although they did not cause the problem. I wrote to tell them that they need to address this as we did not receive any assistance throughout the two hours and to make things worse this was Christmas Eve and we had planned to head out to celebrate. Without lights and now being able to move safely around the room we decided not to proceed and this happened from 5.50 - 7.30 pm which is the time we also wanted to go out to dine. Since Christmas Day when I addressed this with the Duty Manager and followed up with an email to the hotel, there has been no feedback. I wrote them again on my return to Singapore and still have not had a reply and this is the reason I want to write and warn future guests to be aware of this lack of follow-up and concern.

"Disappointed"
Frank R, 29 Décembre 2019

The reception & lobby area are Ok. The bedroom was a bit mediocre. But the corridors are disgusting. The carpets need ripping out and replacing urgently, as they are all stained and smelly. Ugh! My wife and I would not recommend staying at this hotel until Best Western invests in a clean up.

"Well done over and over again"
CCERB, 29 Décembre 2019

Every time we stay we have first rate care and service as well as a thoroughly well appointed room and thoroughly attentive help with it ranging from disabled parking to good working TV, space, dog welcome.....well appointed details (warm up room before arrival for instance).

"Worth the money"
Debbie W, 18 Décembre 2019

Great Hotel, bus easily accessible to train station. No lunch/dinner service, however Hotel has a delivery system in place. Would recommend. Room we had was basic. Bath would have been nice, may have this option with other rooms.

"Beds need replacing"
Elcop, 10 Décembre 2019

We stayed here because the location was good for us, and because they offer parking. But the standard of cleanliness left a lot to be desired and the beds were awful! The bathroom was tiny, the WC seat was not fitted properly. Won't be there again!

"Highly recommend"
kasiabgn, 09 Décembre 2019

I am really delighted by the service and assistance we received from all the staff at Best Western. The staff was more than helpful throughout the whole event we organised at the hotel. Top scores for the venue, service and food. Well done.

"Ok stay minus noisy neighbors"
Danijela S, 06 Décembre 2019

My husband and I came for a weekend break to London after our wedding for a chilled Christmas weekend however due to noisy neighbors we experienced more than we bargained for. Later dealt with manager.

"Blown away!"
Tebtravels, 04 Décembre 2019

Booked the room with a theatre as a combined deal. I wasnt expecting the hotel to be the top standard it was! The modern rooms are lovely and big. Breakfast was amazing and had a very wide choice (could do with some allergy labels especially for nuts). The staff were so helpful, in particular, Kellee Dervish who was more than willing to assist us with anything we needed such transport advice and timings to the theatre. Thank you for a lovely stay! Id definitely return

"Terribly disappointing "
LauraY967, 23 Novembre 2019

I booked this hotel as it is the nearest to my home. I had my members of my family from Italy visiting for my birthday celebrations. I thought I would book a twin room for my sister and my niece. I asked for a quite room. The room that was allocated to them at first seemed okay. After their first night they mentioned that the hot water was very hot and they couldn't control it. I mentioned t hug at perhaps they need to turn the cold water and then add some hot water to get the right temperature. They went back and the second night my niece couldn't control the temperature of the water and burned herself. When they told me in the morning I called the reception and ask if they could move to another room as not only could they not control the temperature of the water the extractor kept them up most of the night. The second room was in the older part of the hotel and didn't feel great. However the hot was was okay. However the TV was not working I called reception and I was told they were too busy to come up. Silo I fiddled with the remote and hot the TV working (I thought??). Next morning with they arrived at my home they said the TV was not working and neither did the air drier. Do I called reception and asked for these to be checked and repaired. They were sorted however when they got back to the hotel that night the smell of food/onions/curry was unbearable. In all and all the hotel wax a a great disappointment the staff working there lack customer care. We feel that the experience was below anyone expectations. I would never recommend this hotel. I often have guests from aboard coming to visit and was looking forward to use the hotel on a regular basis this will no longer be happening as I feel that the standards are pretty unacceptable. The bathroom was not cleaned on a daily basis and the bed making was terrible. I won't consider using this hotel again nor would I recommend. Very very disappointing. I hope the management will take this commitments on board and make the the changes that are so desperately needed. I work in this industry and feel quite a shame of the very low service provided. I really look forward to hearing from the management team. Laura Yavuz

"Perfect relaxing stay"
satinjen, 06 Novembre 2019

What can I say the food the service and the room were excellent I would highly recommend definitely somewhere I will be staying again First Class . The staff was amazing prepared to do anything to make your stay better found our taxes for us sorted everything out could not have wished for a better

"Hellish Hotel! Beware!"
TheBeatlesOfCourse, 29 Octobre 2019

Horrible hotel! Do Not Stay Here! The room smelled of damp, and sewage! It was so bad, I was convinced a sewage outlet, was right outside my window or wall. Also, the advertised amenities are not present! The fridge in the room did not work, and its shelves weren't even assembled. The room was also filthy and unclean. There were used drink containers littered behind the fridge! The thrash from the prior occupant was still in the bins! This is NOT a true hotel 4 star hotel! It would struggle to be a worthwhile 2 Star hotel!

"Horrible experience first time stay in best western hotel"
Babahakki1903, 28 Octobre 2019

Smelly rooms, bad entrance to rooms, smelly hallway, full of noise during night outside and inside hotel due to parties/events. Constant A/C issue makes sounds weather a/c is on or off. Could not sleep for 2 nights straight due to noises.

"Ok, as expected"
KayeUKLondon, 27 Octobre 2019

Ok, as expected for a hotel. Internet was intermitent, but some nice other things. Sky was provided, where it usually isn't in other hotels. Close enough to local high street. Decent transport links. Basic amenities provided.

"Always have an enjoyable stay here"
Pandamonium72, 14 Octobre 2019

This hotel is always a winner for me but it gets busy so always try to book in advance. I'm often unable to do so and they only had rooms available for two of the four nights I needed to stay but that is good for them as their rooms are in demand. The staff are always friendly and extremely helpful. The rooms are generally large, clean and comfortable although the decor in the corridors could do with being refreshed. There is free on site parking front and rear, with the rear being secure behind electric gates so if you're able to get a space in there then it's a bonus and there is a bar area located next to the reception so it has everything you'll need for a pleasant stay. The breakfast is a buffet and is generally very good, although a little expensive @ £10.00 if you pre-book or £12.99 if you don't but there is Junction cafe literally around the corner @ 168 Cricklewood Lane, NW2 2DX which is only £6.50 for a decent freshly cooked breakfast and it's only 0.3 miles away which is just a 2 minute drive or a 7 minute walk from the hotel so I do believe they really ought to get real with their breakfast pricing because for £10.00-£13.00 you should be expecting a freshly cooked breakfast and not just a buffet. It's not so bad when you're travelling alone but when I travel I can often be with two employees so paying a minimum of £30.00 when we can walk around the corner and pay £19.50 is a no brainer in my eyes. Let's be honest, anyone staying in a budget hotel is looking to save money wherever possible and not just waste it.

"Easy access to city"
bevhare1, 09 Octobre 2019

The hotel was convenient and only a short journey to the city by public transport. It was convenient because of the parking facility. Staff were usually very helpful however we had experienced a go slow member on late duty. I had asked for two items that were missing and included in the room and I had to wait a long time. I had to chase up and point out I needed them before going to sleep. It was a shame about that because other staff were good at their work.

"Mr & mrs"
donal P, 07 Octobre 2019

The Best Western Palm, Hendon way was complete disaster, was told the hotel was within five minute walk of Wembley stadium where we were going to see Pink only to find that it was five miles away so had to get a black cab who ripped us off for £25 by going round the houses, found out it should have been about £15 . The hotel was basic, there was no extractor fan in bathroom, my wife's hair dryer kept overheating and stopping. During the night there was a party going on above us and at 4.30 am went complain as I could not ring as they're phone didn't work, the night porter knew immediately who it was saying they were regulars on going back up stairs found the fire escape propped open so the party goers could go in and out for smokes etc! ! .they stopped for about an hour then started again. I went to put the kettle on for a coffee only to find to my disbelief that there was a condemned sticker on it which we had not noticed the night before, all the plug sockets were all very hot this is why my wife's dryer was overheating and I presume why the reception phone was not working. I complained about all these things and got another kettle and that was about as much of an apology we got. The manager needs hauling over coals for this and fire door is completely unacceptable A . On health and safety grounds and security as anyone could have come in and robbed the guests. I think our treatment by the best western was absolutely appalling, they need to be investigated by the authorities.

"Great value for London - but could be a little better"
Paul F, 05 Septembre 2019

The hotel appearance exceeded expectations. The reception area was clean and inviting. Unfortunately there was a strong smell of sewage immediately outside of my room, which lingered for the whole length of my stay. The staff clearly knew bout this, because they would visit the area frequently and spray air freshener, but nothing was actually done about the problem. The room was comfortable, although the bed was two singles pushed together rather than a double as advertised. Also, the room was not hoovered in the 3 days that I stayed. We had no problem finding space for parking, despite the limited size of the car park, although I was chased to my car by one of the receptionists who was keen to reprimand me for parking at an incorrect angle!

"Good hotel , very good service."
zohar2017, 30 Août 2019

We stayed at the hotel four nights. The hotel stuff was very polite, service oriented, and helped us with advises. Room is good, and equipped well. What is less good... The hotel is located on a main road so it is noisy from about 7:00 a.m.... also the top floor windows are not covered good enough and the sun light (in the summer) get inside the room early. However we enjoyed our staying there.

"Deliveroo - only evening food option - Parking hit or miss"
u7jf, 03 Août 2019

The Palms - Best Western, is very specific in their advertising that parking is only 'subject to availability.' Street parking is indicated as an alternative, but not really available as and advised. All the nearby street parking is 'Resident Permit,' only or short-term metered. The location on a busy main road is terrible, with no nearby cafes, pubs, restaurants anywhere in the vicinity. Image getting off a 30 hour flight, hiring a car at Heathrow then driving to a hotel where one cannot find a park, nor purchase an evening meal. One would think that a hotel like the Best Western Palms, which is so isolated that there would be evening dining available. There is a kitchen, because the breakfast was delicious. Our room was small and badly designed. I bumped and badly bruised myself on the cable television consule attached at shoulder height at the foot of the bed. The sink didn't drain properly and left a gungy soapy residue. The tile grout around the shower was mouldy. The bedding was about 3 years past its use-by date; in that the mattress felt worn thin and bumpy from the springs. The pillows were so worn and compressed, they felt like folded towels. Many of the staff members appeared undertrained.. and confused. There was one stand-out reception manager, a gentleman in his 30's, who actually took responsibility for helping me find a car park, and seemed to care if the hotel's computer food ordering and delivery system lost our order. This chap was outstanding.. I felt enormous sympathy for him, as he did his absolute best for guests, while struggling with inadequate systems, and circumstances beyond his control. I hope he finds a nicer hotel to work in in the future.

"Perfectly Located for Wembley"
Caitriona A, 09 Juillet 2019

We arrived before the hotels check-in time. There were quite a few of us who had arrived early and we had to wait but the staff dealt with it exceptionally. The operations manager opened the bar so we could enjoy a drink while we waited. I booked via booking.com and my booking was not on the system. This can happen a lot with booking.com and is in no way the hotels fault but the lady on reception very quickly got it all sorted. We entered a room which was very big, nice big bed, lovely en-suite and the air con was on already so the room was lovely and cool which was much appreciated as that day was exceptionally hot. The air con did stop working during our stay but the hotel were already working on fixing it before I even highlighted it to them. Breakfast is ok. There is something for everyone but not a huge selection and it is pricey. The breakfast staff were not particularly friendly or helpful. All other staff members were exceptional. We were going to a concert in Wembley and this hotel is perfectly located for that. Staff were excellent at helping to arrange a taxi to get there. Biggest issue was noise from other guests during the stay.

"Weekend Stay for Concert @ Wembley"
AlexandraJo04, 05 Juillet 2019

Recently stayed here with my mum and sister, and it was lovely! As we were visiting for a concert at Wembley Stadium, we were unsure how the journey to and from the stadium would be however it was really easy. Check-in was great, and the lady behind the desk was very informative, also giving us directions to the stadium which was much appreciated. We booked a triple room - very spacious with 3 nice single beds. As it was the hottest day of the year (!!), the air conditioning was very needed and unsure how we would have coped without it. We did have to ask how to work it though so definitely ask if you're unsure. Everything was lovely with the room, the only thing I would say is we couldn't get the shower to get cold? As it was a hot day we all wanted a cold shower however couldn't get it to change from warm (very random). For breakfast there was lots of choice and was very tasty, however we did have to wait for a table so I would allow time for that. Overall I would say it was a great stay, with lots of little extras and conveniences that made the stay very comfortable. Would definitely recommend staying here if you are going to Wembley as there is lots of access to public transport.

"Close to our party but dreadful place to stay!"
Eyesri, 02 Juillet 2019

We were booked in for one night and thank goodness it was not for any longer! From the moment we entered the room, there was a musty smell and the bathroom stunk! We should have complained there and then but had to get ready for our party so unfortunately we left it. When we came back at 12.00 pm we thought it was too late to do anything then. I woke up at 4.30 am and could not stand the smell! The room was dusty, the television and lamp did not work either. We went to breakfast at 7 to get out of the room! I complained when leaving and was offered 25 per cent off the bill but I would rather have had a pleasant room and stay. There were other people who we knew who said their rooms had a smell too but they didn't complain. For the price we paid, this was awful!

"Was ok, but not recommended."
Nomad28061592262, 24 Juin 2019

The service was brilliant. But the room was horrible. The air conditioning didn't work correctly. The bathroom had mould on the ceiling and smelt very damp and horrible. The double bed was 2 single mattresses pushed together. And was like sleeping on the floor they was that hard. The air conditioning unit was right outside the window and made it impossible to get any sleep. It was crazy loud even with the vents and windows closed. Half of the lights in the room didnt work. Like I said, the customer service was spot on, the entrance was all fancy, and looked really posh. But as soon as you entered the hallways to head to your rooms, it was like going back in time and everything was damaged, I.e carpets, lights, pictures, dirt on carpets etc.. wasnt very pleasant. Seemed like it was all just a "front". The decor needs updating imo, it's very dated and dark and gloomy.

"No parking"
Cruiser36472233393, 23 Juin 2019

Only booked this hotel as it had parking but when arrived there was no room to park had to park on the road and had to pay for parking not good when you pay a lot of money for the stay won't be staying here again go to B+B next time where there is parking

"Overnights stay"
AaaamandaD, 23 Juin 2019

Lovely hotel. Close enough to Wembley Stadium. Only a few pounds if you book an Uber. Room was spotless but a little too warm. Cosy bar area and breakfast was an added bonus. Bus stop for the underground was just outside the hotel. There was only a short walk into Golders Green itself. For anyone driving there's parking in the front for a few cars but a bigger car park at the rear. Definitely value for money.

"Not great...."
Emma B, 21 Juin 2019

We arrived at 4pm (check in from 2pm), and only one of our two rooms was available, the reception/bar was busy with people waiting to check in still. The reception staff were quite stressed and lots of calls were being made to house keeping, eventually we were given a key for room 147. The upstairs area looks quite tired and rundown, and there was evidence of the cleaners still working inost if the rooms with bags of linen along the corridor, first impressions of room 147 was okay, however after being in the room for 5-10 mins, the door opened and another couple walked in with their suitcase as they had also been given room 147, not impressed. We got ready to leave our room and head to Wembley for a concert, there was a notice board up in reception with taxi numbers/prices, Details of nearest tube, bus etc to get us there, which was VERY USEFUL. We returned pretty late and got straight into bed, and had a decent enough sleep until around 6am, when there was a large fan making alot of noise outside of our bedroom window. Our double bed, consisted of two singles pushed together, but one was clearly much higher than the other and the lower one had a visible big dip in the middle. The bathroom also was very grubby and not cleaned properly, with streaks of toothpaste down the walls near sink, dirty toilet pan and grubby in harder to reach places. The other room in our party was room 114 which was actually very clean and had a lovely view. The tea trays were good quality (they provided teapigs teabags) We didn't stay for breakfast so cannot comment on that, but wouldn't stay again.

"Lovely Hotel"
pamelamay5, 20 Juin 2019

My Husband and I enjoyed our two day stay in the Great Western very much were there for the Fleetwood Mac Concert we found it offered fair and reasonable prices and got a good deal, the room was clean and comfortable we payed extra for the Breakfast which was enjoyable the only complaint was the television wasn't working the first day and they didn't fix it till the next day other than that no complaints they offer a shuttle bus service and a reasonable Taxi firm the staff are very helpful and friendly would recommend this Hotel to friends and family

"Concert stay"
kim h, 19 Juin 2019

Stayed here as we were going to see Fleetwood Mac in Wembley, hotel handy as only £16 for taxi. Hotel is old and yes quite shabby but all in all for the price paid £99 for one night with breakfast for 2 it did just fine, beds are not the most comfortable and pillows are hard, would we stay again, yes because it was half the price of hotels near Wembley. Yan on reception was lovely, smiley and very welcoming.

"Cheap and disgusting"
ilsvx, 13 Juin 2019

Slept 3 hr Mattresses are bouncy, pillows stiff, duvet was so bad I can't even explain with words. First impression of a room was positive but then realised how dusty it is especially lamp shades. Room was facing a dual carriageway. Constant noise. Had a few drinks in a bar after coming back to the hotel .i have Asked a bartender 5 times to get us some lime or lemon for the drinks.breakfast 3/10 No individual seating.Had to sit with some Chinese guys which I was fine with . I Don't usually write reviews but i felt that I had to. First and the last time in worst western.

"Great staff but needs a good clean"
angharad m, 10 Juin 2019

Stayed in a family room for one night. The corridor off from the bar area smelt like a urinal. The room was comfortable but in need of a really good clean. Staff all friendly and helpful. Breakfast was overpriced but plentiful. It met our needs, we were there for a concert so did not spend any time in the room...thankfully.

"Cheap hotel"
kaylz92, 08 Juin 2019

Booked this hotel as left booking London late and everything in Central London was wither booked or very expensive. Got a really good deal at £189 for the three nights but that doesn't including breakfast which is a bit of an issue as it isn't close to cafes and to add breakfast on was expensive. Our room was okay and clean but very basic. They only offered tea and coffee no hot chocolate or biscuits which I would expect from a 3 star hotel. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. So all in all an okay stay.

"Never Again"
tashac740, 08 Juin 2019

We chose this hotel due to its price, £222 for 3 nights. Excluding breakfast, although as a rule, Best Western promotes that their prices include breakfast! I'll start with the good bits.... the staff. They were all lovely, helpful, polite and professional. That's it. Downhill from here. Checked into our room and we were greeted with an awful smell of mould/damp! Opened the en-suite door and was borking it was that bad! Complained and we were moved. The rooms were small, not the cleanest, air con only worked intermittently- it was boiling through the night! Phone didn't work so they had to get the maintenance man. The hotel was grotty, in desperate need of a face lift! Wall paper hanging off walls, carpets worn and filthy, musty muggy smell everywhere... ants crawling up the yellowish net curtain!! so noisy, people coming and going, slamming doors constantly. Bar area was tiny, no atmosphere at all. Reasonably priced though. All in all, it was horrible. More like a 3 star, and that's being generous. It's a business mans hotel and it should be advertised as such.

"Over priced and not overly clean "
cherylc105, 02 Juin 2019

Booked for a concert, I found that the room was overpriced at £149 room only, the furniture dated with a rip on the seat of the desk chair, scuffing on the armchair, the walls had all types of scuff marks on them, cables hanging from the tv. The bathroom altho modern requires some regrouping and there was a something that resembled blood on one of the tiles. Facilities on the room were a desk and chair, sitting chair, twin beds, side tables and a combi robe. I state this was room only! On the plus side the beds were comfy!

"Stayed for a night"
Meander36444202980, 31 Mai 2019

The staff were nice but they said i had to pay extra for breakfast even though I spoke to someone when I booked they said it was included there was rubbish under my bed and stuff in the bin but the bed was comfortable

"One night stay"
backwoodstravelor, 28 Mai 2019

This hotel advertises that it has handicap accessible facilities. I am in a wheelchair unable to walk at all. When the aavacations booked the room for me they took the hotel adverts as true. However, when I got to the hotel I found that the room itself was extremely small for a wheelchair to maneuver. The bathroom was perfect. The problem was that the only way to get to the room was up a steep narrow ramp with a turn ending in a very small landing in front of a door which opened outward. In order to get to and from the room to the lobby, one had to call the front desk and wait for someone to come to the room to make sure they could safely get one out of/into the room and up/down the steep ramp. When I explained to the manager/owner that I would need to change hotels he was most gracious and agreed to only charge me for the one night I stayed. However, he has consistently refused all requests from myself and the travel agents who arranged the stay which was on May 2, 2019. I believe the owner/manager, Brian, had the best intentions for the room, it just wasn't well thought out.

"Wonderful Service"
Linda D, 26 Mai 2019

We booked this reservation at the last minute since we needed to get to London quickly for our daughter. The entire staff looked after our every need and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. They even adjusted our reservation at the end to accommodate our changed travel plans. It was very clear to us that the management of this hotel expects the highest service and all of the staff certainly delivers that.

"Weekend Stay"
JKelly1988, 13 Mai 2019

Good, clean rooms, finished to a decent standard, staff are all very polite, not a bit annoyed that cleaners seemed to just let themselves into the room on more than 1 occasion....the bar could do with a 3rd option of draught lager... the floors are wooden, not concrete...so someone quite heavey footed in the room above you means your not sleeping well.

"Friendly and convenient"
Ryszard L, 11 Mai 2019

I booked this hotel because it is close to where I used to live in Neasden and I wanted to see what the area was like now since I hadn't been there since 1963. The hotel room I had was very spacious and very comfortable. The bathroom was very well-appointed and the shower was very good. There could have been a few more tea-bags and sugar sachets in the tea making facilities, though. The staff were immensely co-operative, considerate, efficient and helpful - as well as being very friendly. Nothing was too much for them and they made my stay quite memorable. The hotel has a taxi service from Heathrow and I'd strongly advise that, if you need transport from the airport to here, avail yourself of their offer as you might find yourself paying considerably more for your taxi. The other great thing is that the 113 bus stop is about 70 yards from the hotel. This bus takes you straight into Oxford Circus, passing by Finchley Road, St. John's Wood and Baker Street Tube stations as well as Regent's Park. The other great feature is that Ponti's Italian Kitchen restaurant is just across the road from the 113 bus stop on the corner of Great Castle street and John Prince's Street. I could go into London, spend the day walking around and visiting all the sights, make my way back to Ponti's, have a great and inexpensive dinner then hop on the bus back to the hotel without having to wait at the stop because you can sit in the restaurant and see the bus stop from your table - how convenient! Especially when the weather is foul. The room I had was very warm and comfortable, the bar service is very good and the staff very obliging. They really helped me out when I needed to get to a computer and check my emails, printing off whatever I needed and giving me good advice. I'd have no hesitation in returning here on any future trip I may make to London.

"Lovely hotel"
Cassie H, 08 Mai 2019

20 minute walk from Golders Green station but mostly all down hill. After checking our bag the lovely receptionist told us the best way back into Central London was the bus and the stop was right outside the hotel. The buses ran all night too so really handy. The hotel ran a shuttle service to and from the hotel in the morning and late afternoon which was great to book in on. No restaurant but the receptionists showed us how to use the " handy" and order a deliveroo in. Nice clean hotel which I would go back too

"Very good stay"
gflo75100, 08 Mai 2019

This hotel is close to Golders Green tube stationn(10min walk) and only 30mim from the city center. This hotel has a very good level of service. Staff very helpful and smiling ! The little gym is very nice and there is all you need. Rooms are comfortable. I will come back.

"North London short stay"
jennymB6413AY, 29 Avril 2019

Very welcoming and friendly relatively small hotel close to Golder's Green. Ideal for short stay in North London with good transport links and some parking. The room was very acceptable and comfortable. Would definitely book the hotel again.

"Disappointed"
NorthStar15546499882, 28 Avril 2019

Had reserved a city view room was allocated a different one without an apology or notice. My husband had booked the room the reception insisted on settling direct as they could not charge the card. Overall a disappointing stay.

"Superb Value and staffed by those who can be bothgered"
CCERB, 15 Avril 2019

Here is a well equipped room; and there another one (we have stayed twice). What a pleasure to find space and technology, with a special space for a blue badge driver's car. And our dog likes it in this hotel too! Just one thing: heating controls: talk to reception before adjusting and anther one: if there is no hot water, do not omit to talk to reception. Any time!

"100% fits the bill"
RazzyBthefirst, 06 Avril 2019

Another boys weekend away at the football and as it's been a year since I last reviewed, I need to dilute some of the unfair reviews on this site with another 5 circles. Firstly, people seem to forget they're paying £70 or less for a room in London albeit on the outskirts. Breakfast has everything for another £13. The hotel is practically at the end of the M1 and if you're driving there's a free car park at the back, can be busy but always secured a space. It's outside the congestion zone and for the person who says the Tube is a long walk, there's a bus up the road that takes you directly to central London or Swiss Cottage if you prefer the Underground. The staff are professional and courteous and if something is awry, they will fix it. Rooms have everything you need and are spotlessly clean. I read a review where the person was whining about getting a new robe every day....and spring water....and more toiletries. This is not really a 'valentines' weekend location, it's a budget hotel that 100% fits our bill. Keep up the good work.

"Weekend break "
Rhiannon I, 02 Avril 2019

We stayed at this hotel on Sunday night for a football match. We arrived early in the morning, and the staff were very helpful allowing us to leave our bag and check in later. The front desk arranged our taxi to Wembley as well which was very helpful. When we came back the night manager wa there who checked us in swiftly and informed us about the restaurant - they no longer have one but you can order on Deliveroo straight to the hotel and sit in restaurant if you like. There is also a smartphone that is free to use around the city, it is intended as a travel guide this was a very thoughtful touch which would be useful in all hotels! The room was much bigger tha expected, we paid for a double but got a super king bed which was a nice surprise the room was also very spacious and so was the bathroom. They were both immaculate! Pillows were lovely and comfy, the mattress was however a little hard/springy but did not stop us from falling asleep. All in all was a lovely, clean hotel with superb staff who dont think twice about going the extra mile for their guests. We would definitely stay here again next time we visit the city!

"Great stay for family wedding"
JohnK45, 26 Mars 2019

Twelve of us stayed for up to three nights for a family wedding. The staff were brilliant and it was easy to bus / Uber into central London. The breakfast was great - especially if you requested specific items on top of the buffet. Some of the front facing rooms are a bit noisy due to the very busy traffic on Hendon Way - a lot quieter once we shut the small vent on the velux window!

"Everything OK, except the party and the location"
Q8051JPtinas, 14 Mars 2019

➖ The location is a little bit too far from the underground station and also you have nothing to do around the hotel. In the Saturday evening there was also a party and the whole floor was literally shaking because the music was so loud. It lasted until 00:30am. Hotel also needs a renovation or at least deep cleaning. ➕ Room was as it is shown on the picture, clean towels every day, staff were nice, available and always ready to help. Overall good stay for the price we paid compared to other places to stay in London.

"stayed for 4 days for Valentines break"
kjcoop1234, 18 Février 2019

Arrived and there was mix up with booking had to argue and show proof that we paid and booked for Double room not Twin took a while but was sorted out eventually. The Manager said they often had these issues. Not good for a Best Western Hotel is it. We Paid for breakfast as extra so we didn't have to worry about finding somewhere else to eat. Lovely spacious bedroom. The tea/coffee was replaced daily but the Still Water and Sparkling water wasn't. The free toiletries were only replaced once whilst there thankfully we took some with us. The bedding was not changed still had same marks on as first day we arrived. The dressing gowns were taken away on the Thursday morning and never replaced. went down to reception to be told they should have replaced when taken away but could not replace as they had no spare dressing gowns. Not good at all. Went down for breakfast following morning to be told that we were not entitled to the breakfast as we had not paid. Had to go back to reception to complain yet again to be told it was put down as no breakfast. It was the manager that was dealing with this booking from the first day we arrived and entered incorrectly on the computer. Seems to be a lot of issues with the bookings here. The breakfasts were well worth the money. lots of choice. Shame there was no restaurant at a night it had to be ordered and delivered so we booked a taxi every night to eat out didn't want to be eating in the room.

"Weekend break away"
JhordannM1, 16 Février 2019

Nice clean hotel, spacious room booked a twin but ended up with a triple. Was close to local transport, with plenty of bus and tube routes. Good location friendly staff, did need to request more milk for the room and bathroom tissue was inadequate we needed to request more.

"Short break"
CID007, 14 Février 2019

Visited this hotel for a little short break with my partner. It's actually a really nice hotel with friendly staff especially Anna who works at the bar and the gentleman at reception who made an effort to find us a nice room when we were not impressed with the first room that was offered. The gentleman in the breakfast area sorry forgot his name but he was from Venezuela he too was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely, lot's to choose from and well presented and always topped up with fresh food. The room was comfortable and well presented. The gym is small but is sufficient for a decent workout. The hotel has impressive function rooms that can be used for weddings and other events. This is a really nice hotel that is deceptive from the outside. We would definitely stay here again as we enjoyed our stay.

"Wonderful"

"First Visit"
Stuart W, 04 Février 2019

Stayed here back in December for one night while my partner was in London. Arrived late due to motorway traffic while driving down from Lancashire. Found the evening staff friendly and helpful. Checking in was a pleasure with the usual tips about breakfast and checking out. Only downside to checking in was paying for breakfast and not getting our wake up call that we asked for but the staff were apologetic and a refund was arrange with out any hassle. Our room was at the rear of the hotel and turned out to be a family room. The room was modern, excellent, spacious and quiet. The bathroom was modern although a little small for the size of room but we didnt mind that. The bed was warm and comfortable if a little to warm during the night but we both slept well. Overall an excellent hotel to base yourself if visiting London.

"Plain and Simple"
Jake_Travel2019, 02 Février 2019

Staying here on Business around the area. The Hotel is located a little far out of the way and is about 20-25min walk to Golders Green Station. As this is located out of the way there are no Restaurants or shopping facilities near by. Rooms are of decent size, I have stopped here twice now or floors 1 & 2, but find that rooms on the 1st floors are more bigger in space. All rooms have a decent comfy bed, tea and coffee Facilities, fridge, safe, Sky TV, cool little mobile phone device in the room which you can take out and about with you to explore, and decent size bath room. There is a bar in the main reception area but isn't fully open until later in the evenings, however if you want a drink when it appears to be closed just ask the receptionist and they send someone to the bar to serve you. Gym facility also located in the hotel, I suppose the right size for the hotel, total of I think 6 machines and weight lifting machine. (Fully air conditioning) Decent selection of Breakfast, traditional full English, breads, cereals, fruits, juices etc.... Overall I recommend this hotel for short stays due to location.

"Perfect stay for us all in London"
Guide19740567348, 26 Janvier 2019

For anyone looking for somewhere to stay in North London with a dog this is the perfect place. Nothing was too much trouble for staff to resolve, who were all very cheerful and friendly. The place is clean, the decor is modern and tastefully done and there was parking available for both my husband and myself.

"Be wise and avoid"
Carpe_diemtrekker, 27 Décembre 2018

I booked this hotel because of the cheap price and at the time, its 3 1/2 star ratings. I should of heeded other reviewers who also warn not to stay here. Mattresses feel like they have never been replaced. If you have ever had back problems, this is not the place for you. We tried two rooms, and both rooms were the same. All carpets look as if they have never been replaced. The hallway carpets look like no one has any ever taken a vacuum to them. Ever. Furniture is worn and old. Chair in room made you not want to sit in it because of being dirty and old. In a nutshell, it feels like staying in a Motel 6. A Motel 8 would be an upgrade to this hotel. The cheap price is not worth the bad mattress and lack of cleanliness.

"Surprise, surprise"
Ahungrybear, 11 Décembre 2018

Having often seen this hotel when driving into London it suited me to stay in N London on this trip so as there were vacancies and the price was reasonable I decided to try it. Surprise indeed, the reception staff were extremely helpful and quick checking us in. The room was quite large enough with King sized bed and space, with a well-equipped bathroom. I had occasion to extend our stay and again the reception staff, particularly Anil, were helpfulness itself. There are potential drawbacks: recently the restaurant was closed but the breakfast room survives and offers a good array of fare. The rooms at the front of the hotel can be noisy from the main road outside, and generally, when there is a party or function the noise can be obtrusive. The upsides: a pleasant reception and bar area; ample off-street free parking, a boon anywhere in London. It is a relatively easy journey into central London with ready access to public transport.

"Reasonably priced and comfortable"
Monkspot66, 01 Décembre 2018

Booked this hotel about 3 weeks before we travelled. It was very reasonable, (£75 for a family room inc free parking). It's a half-hour Tube trip to central London, but in terms of cost it fits the bill. The hotel room itself was modern, clean and comfortable, with the added benefit of Sky TV. The shower was excellent, although the bathroom had an unusual smell when we went in. There is a bar and a gym both of which were perfectly adequate. If you're looking for a bolthole which is cheaper and more luxury than a Travelodge I'd recommend it

"Nothing special"
Amy B, 26 Novembre 2018

Stayed here as a big group for a friends 21st. Although I had rang numerous times to ensure one of the rooms booked could be decorated the message didn't seem to get through. Luckily on check in we were separate from the birthday party and the guest relations manager was very accommodating and put a bottle of bubbly in the room, however still disappointed that this was not done before arrival. The rooms were average but again still not sure why we were given accessible rooms as the bathroom was not needed how it was and made it more difficult if anything. There was also no hot water to shower with and having mentioned on check out it was clear that there was an issue with hot water on the ground floor bedrooms so again why did they put us here if they knew there was a problem? I was told if I had rang and let them know at the time they could of sorted something out but I didn't really feel like it was suitable to ring reception at the time since I was already undressed? The toilet seats were stained with something?? - absolutely gross seeing as its meant to be a 4*??There was no-one on the bar on arrival and I had to ask numerous times if someone could come over & serve. The housekeeping staff were very rude and stood on there phones in the corridors?? Not very professional. Breakfast was ok & the guest relations manager was very nice, such a shame about everything else. Won't be staying here again.

"very nice"
Flyer36041355057, 17 Novembre 2018

very nice clean room, handy phone very useful in finding our way around, only issue was on the side if the road and have to sleep with Window open si bit noisy, would recommend it to use if you don't want to go right into London

"Comfortable Night"
Titus_Aduxas, 15 Novembre 2018

This hotel was the location for a company meal in the Hampstead Suite. Food was very good, and the staff were accommodating. My room was clean, reasonably sized and comfortable. I thought the bathroom was a bit cramped, but this was no big deal for a single night. Breakfast was good, but I would have liked a fried egg - scrambled only this morning!

"Excellent 1st visit to a best western"
James C, 14 Novembre 2018

Stayed here with my best mate for the weekend of Challenge Cup Final weekend. We stayed on the first floor right at the end and our room was extremely clean and spacious. Room was also surprisingly fitted with sky tv. Did nothing but rave about it to my twin who i usually go on holiday with. Breakfast was buffet style and worth the money with a wide selection of continental and full english. Bar is extremely reasonable in price and staff were excellent throughout. Great stay will definitely bring the twin next time :)

"Old and average hotel "
R7977GDmelissag, 05 Novembre 2018

This hotel is quite out of the way and if you don't drive it's really inconvenient. The staff here were very accommodating but the hotel was quite old and has terrible sound proof walls. The hotel held parties downstairs which made it rather noisy and really hard to sleep but we just deal with it. Thia hotel also allows dogs which was very helpful as we could bring our little doggy. One bad thing about this place is that the parking is limited and they allow anyone who parks even though they didn't stay at the hotel. I hope the hotel can do something about it. All in all it was really average hotel stay.

"Do not visit. Simple as that. "
187ryand, 31 Octobre 2018

This hotel is no where near anything. Not even easy access to you're basic amenities without a fair walk. Even to the nearest tube station is a fair walk. The function room will create a lot of noise until midnight some nights without prior warning on the hotel website or from the reception staff when checking in. We were a fair distance from the function room and also on the top floor (only two floors plus ground floor) and the room was still vibrating from the loud boom from the bass of the music. Rooms are a little musty and the corridors had a funny smell. There were black fingerprints all around the window frame which didn't fill me with much confidence.... Breakfast was mediocre at £10 per person per day (if booked in advance). For the limited selection I would say this is too pricy. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

"Better Than I had Expected but...."
SillyFizzy, 29 Octobre 2018

I have had so many bad experience at Best Western hotels so I did not expect much here. I booked to stay here because of a business trip. Check-in was quick (was not busy at the time anyway) and receptionist was polite and friendly but did not explain how WiFi worked, I had to come back down to reception later that night to ask for the info. Room was nicely decorated, bit small but OK. The fridge was a good thing to have in the room. My room was facing the main road, it was quite noisy because of the constant traffic - this was kind of expected so I tried not to take notice of it. BUT in the morning at about 5:15am, there were loud noises coming from the outside of the hotel just outside reception, it sounded like people arguing and this went on for about 30 minutes. This was not good enough as they were so noisy that night shift receptionist should have noticed and stopped it. Breakfast was buffet with both cold and hot food. Not the greatest quality but enough basic items so OK.

"THE WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE"
Scenic203560, 27 Octobre 2018

As a travel writer, I have traveled extensively, for business and pleasure, to over 30 countries and have NEVER experienced anything as egregious as the noise problem and the level of disrespect for customers in this hotel tonight. My mother and I arrived home after a long day in London looking forward to a restful evening. The hotel was hosting a party in the bar with trance music playing so loudly, it literally was shaking the walls in our second floor room for hours. We asked to be moved to another room, and the hotel refused. We asked if the music could be turned down, and they refused that too. As I write this, it is almost midnight. We are scheduled to leave for a tour at eight. The walls are still shaking, and the music is still deafening. We are unable to work or think, much less sleep. We've spent thousands of dollars getting here only to have two days of our vacation ruined because this hotel couldn't see fit to ask the people in the bar to turn the music down. I am stunned, just stunned, at their lack of respect and concern for customers.

"Cosy comfortable stay."
Zawditu L, 08 Octobre 2018

All services and facilities available were up to a good standard, room was on the smaller side but this made it cosy and very homely. Everything was very clean and had no problems at all with anything. Lovely for a couples stay!

"Great location for north london and free parking!"
M D, 07 Octobre 2018

We stayed here as going to a gig at Alexandra Palace. It's on a main road with car park for circa 15 cars at back..... Staff were friendly enough and good bar downstairs. Brent Cross shopping centre a short taxi away. Bathrooms had a electric shaver socket and full toiletries although not very environmental friendly. Good size rooms but would definitely request room at back as noise from dual carriageway at front comes through. Rooms have a safe and complimentary tea/coffee and added bonus of all sky channels.

"Very accomodating and attentive manager and staff"
PJ C, 30 Septembre 2018

We booked this hotel over the internet. It is in a very busy area with no restaurants...so if you want to walk to a coffee shop for coffee or an early dinner, forget it, this is not close to anything. However, it is three blocks to the bus line, so it is affordable and clean accommodations, and like I said, great customer service. The rooms are small in USA terms, but they have frigs, and counter coffee/tea pot. Here is the bottom line....this is affordable for our first trip to the EU with no knowledge of the area and the staff are amazing and friendly and very professional. But, if you want a great cup of coffee or !!! breakfast, you need to grab a bus. But thank goodness , they have coffee in the room to even get me going!

"Perfect London Stay"
swpv, 27 Septembre 2018

Stay here on a regular basis, the place ticks all the boxes, parking, clean large rooms, hot rainfall showers, comfortable beds, great staff, excellent breakfast, good bar food, 20 mom walk to the tube, 20min from Wembley, gym area, air conditioning.... Wouldn't stay anywhere else, well priced quality and well managed by a friendly approachable manager!

"Good hotel "
Hayder A, 21 Septembre 2018

Good clean rooms, room size considerably good, hotel location in the north and bit far,but there is bus can take directly to the center, and if you are a bit hurry you can stop in few bus stops to catch the tube,so there are no problems in transportation if you have the time 40 minuets from hotel to the center (Oxford circus).beds are comfortable, good staff and very good housekeeping. Very good with travelers with cars, they have good parking area.

"Great location and service"
lrushworth, 01 Août 2018

We stayed three nights at the Palm hotel on a recent trip to London. It was easy to locate and we parked with no issues (more parking at the rear of the hotel). When we arrived we were given room keys and went to our room. We had booked an open booking and had been given a twin room. My husband rang the front desk and they quickly swapped us into a double room. The location of the hotel was great as it was quiet and on a bus route to Oxford Circus, however, the bathroom smelt like sewage in the mornings and the tv reception was poor. The hotel needs an update as the dingy corridors and musty smell has put us off booking this hotel again.

"4 star yet very dirty "
Craig J, 29 Juillet 2018

Stayed here so a short weekend with my wife and some good friends, my room was not clean at all with dirty marks all over the walls and floor as seen in pictures. Also the bedroom cupboards and desk had marks and looked tacky. The dust in the room was just silly. I have asthma so the dust can get to my chest and cause me to have breathing problems. Breakfast was very dry and definitely not a 4 star. We had a handy phone In are too. Witch didn't work also the bed side lamps had switch's missing. Not maintained at all. Staff seem to have a very blunt and straight forward attitude. Lovely lounge area at the bar but chairs are very well worn. For a so called 4 star this was a disappointment, who ever rated the place 4 star needs to quit there job. Also fire your cleaners and maintenance staff clearly not doing there job. I wouldn't even rate this place. Very disappointed and I will be contacting the management team about this. Security was very nice though. Very welcoming. Review left while sitting at the hotel.

"Average hotel, expensive poor breakfast "
Dustin P, 22 Juillet 2018

Some positives, room was clean and tidy, nice complimentary room items, bed was two beds pushed together but was massive overall, quiet hard but comfy, air con was very good. Empty Fridge in room was good. Breakfast was very poor, no fried eggs even! Really overpriced at £25 for 2 people. Overall price for the room was good although. Front desk staff very helpful and nice, barman needs a cheering up.

"Wish we could of stayed longer"
SarahHMoran87, 18 Juillet 2018

Booked one night here two weeks ago on a trip to Kilburn to surprise family. My partners uncle lived in Kilburn for a number of years before moving about an hour & a half away so he came with us to show us around and plan our surprise visit as we'd never been in Kilburn before it was very handy having him with us. We checked in just after 2, the staff on reception were really friendly. We booked a family room so when opening the door we didnt expect to see three more doors! We'd two separate rooms with the bathroom off our double room in the middle and inside the single room it had its own private bathroom. We all had great privacy. Our rooms were so beautiful, comfy beds and spotless clean that we went straight back down to reception to add on another night. We didnt eat at the hotel but we had a look into the restaurant which looked lovely and was busy. We'd a few drinks in the bar, its decorated lovely, its really clean and the value of drink was good. Cant wait to plan our next trip back

"Poor service! "
Steph B, 15 Juillet 2018

Room was well air conditioned and modern looking however one of the plug sockets was on (with nothing in it) and appeared to have black singe marks up the wall which didn't look great and there was 2 phones in the room and neither worked. Upon our arrival we checked in (around 6.30pm) the guy at reception asked us if we had already paid to which we replied we've only paid a deposit, he said that was fine and gave us instructions to find our room which we followed. A little later that night around 7.15pm we heard a knock on the door, there was a storm so we'd decided to stay in that night get in our pj's and order room service instead of going out, we answered the door, clearly in our pjs and was asked if we could go and pay the remainder of the bill, when he realised what we was wearing he said it didn't need to be paid now but could be paid on check out (2 days later) as our phones in the room wasn't working we placed an order with him for room service, one of us ordered pasta the other a burger with a side of mash and sweet potato fries. At 8.45pm our food still hadn't arrived (1.30hours later) so we went to go check where it was and had to get changed as we were going down to reception, when we asked they said it was just starting to be prepared and they were sorry for the delay, understandable it was Friday night and I understand that the kitchen can get busy, at 9.15pm the burger (only the burger) arrived with the sweet potato fries on instead of normal fries with the sweet potato as a side, we said that the order was completely wrong but instead of taking it away and bringing them up correct together they left the burger with us and put my half of the order through. At 9.45pm my part of the order came up and they had taken the price of the mash off the order for the inconvenience. That was nice of them but doesn't excuse the fact that we had to eat so late and completely separate which wasn't great! The next day we went about our business and went to the event we had gone there for, this finished at 11.30pm and so we got back to the hotel at around 12.15am, there was an incident while I was out and broke my foot (not their fault in the slightest) however this wasn't helped by the fact our key card had been deactivated because we hadn't paid up front (when we had been told we could pay at check out) so we had to go up 2 flights of stairs (the elevator was in use and I wanted to get back to the room ASAP to get my shoe off) to have to come back down 2 flights of stairs where we found we were made to pay there and then before our key card got re chipped to get back in our room, as you can imagine a little bit of a dampener on the really good day we had (other than the incident). The next morning we went to go for breakfast (not included, we wanted to pay to have the breakfast) where we was greeted by a less than pleasant member of staff who took our room number and looked through a list to say ‘do you even have breakfast included?!' We said no we wanted to pay to have it, really wish we hadn't, it was cold, slimy scrambled egg, cold sausage and bacon and soggy, fusty hash browns, the only thing that was nice was the baby bell on the table! This was a very expensive 2 night trip and although the room was clean and generally well maintained the whole service let the entire weekend down! On checkout we didn't even get asked how our stay was which is generally poor service! Think it's safe to say we definitely won't be returning any time soon!

"A bit far out, but ok - not 4 star though"
Julie M, 06 Juillet 2018

Located around 30-45 minutes with bus into central London - busses are frequent, so it's easy to get in to the city. Area is nothing special but does have both supermarkets and food options within walking distance. Our room was right out to the busy road, so can't leave the window open if you are noise sensitive. Hotel dining was closed when we wanted to eat at 21:00, which is disappointing for a 4-star hotel to be honest. Has an ok gym and room was nice; shower could definitely have been cleaned better when claiming 4 stars. Breakfast terribly overpriced. Free parking was completely full and we were not able to park.

"Decent stay"
964arpitb, 04 Juillet 2018

Pros -Staff is very friendly and overwhelming. Always happy to help with a smile. -Room is small yet tidy and neat and clean. -Toilets are also upto mark with clean towels and shower amenities. -Basic amenities like hair dryer, tv with sky, mini fridge and a smart phone was provided. -Bus staion is just 2 mins walk. Cons -Tube stations are far and generally take 20mins walk or Uber takes 5-6£. -As hotel is at main road the traffic can be heard in the morning from the windows which was quite annoying. -No bars or restaurants available nearby.Though it is stiuated at the main road. -Two single beds were pushed along which came apart in night. Would have given a average stay but extra point only for the friendly staff and the lady behind the desk name Xenia. She was always happy to help and provide as much info as she can about London. Overall a decent stay and worth every penny spend.

"Great location"
partonj, 01 Juillet 2018

Visited here for a second time and had no complaints again. Great location, staff friendly and helpful, room and hotel clean and tidy. Only fault was the handle on the shower was coming off (room 6). The breakfasts were yummy and couldn't fault them. Easy walk or bus to tube station. Will definitely stay here again when visiting london.

"1 night stop over"
Sophie220419, 07 Juin 2018

Stayed here for 1 night and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the room, very clean and tidy, really impressed with the tv and the fact it has a sky box! Although that's probably the only positive about the room! At 5am we were woken up by the sound of the bins being changed over, this lasted for at least half an hour (our room was located right above this area). You can hear every movement of the person above you as the floor squeaks everytime someone walks.. you would be amazed how loud this noice is and again I think from about 5am when I was woken by the bins being changed right up to 8am from when I decided I couldn't acutally sleep anymore with the noice I didn't have a relaxing sleep at all! Bit of advice for anyone staying here.. make sure you bring your earplugs! Other then that it was fine but was a real shame about all the disturbances throughout the night.

"Served its purpose"
Anita W, 24 Mai 2018

Booked this hotel as it was convenient to go to Chelsea Flower Show. On first impressions we asked beforehand if a disabled parking space could be reserved due to extenuating circumstances. A space was reserved so a good start. The rooms were ok - clean and a comfy bed. Out of convenience we decided to have our evening eat in the restaurant. Tbe food was ok but the waiting staff need to improve with their etiquette skills! Empty plates were taken off the table as and when we finished a meal as opposed to waiting until we had ALL finished eating! There is nothing I find more rude! The staff certainly need to learn to smile!!! Breakfast was cold! Upon checking out this morning I passed comment on the lack of smiles in the restaurant it I did get the feeling this wasn't taken on board. Maybe now it will. I have stayed in other Best Westerm hotels before and have to say The Palm was certainly not of the same calibre!! Thank you

"Free London parking!"
Thisisour0pinion, 20 Mai 2018

We came here as we were going to a concert at The Round House and it was the closest we could stay with parking facilities (booked pretty late). The rooms are pretty basic but nice, the bathroom was modern staff were pleasant and what's more is the off street parking (first come first served basis) was included. We could have got the tube into Camden however with the weather being so nice we took a 4 mile walk via Hampstead Heath. Only negative is that it's on a main road so being in a road side room means you can hear the traffic but on the other hand it's really easy to find and on a major bus route too.

shaharshmuel1987, 14 Mai 2018

the hotel is very simple and nice, rooms are littel bit small but in good shape, bathroom was very good, there is always hot water and the sheets switched every morning. i must say that the stuff was very kind and always wanted to help. for our jurny it was perfect. for sure i will come back!

"Superb service near the core of London"
man555, 13 Mai 2018

Three of us enjoyed a stay in the hotel - all of us were very much satisfied. Room was clean, beds were comfortable. Breakfast was superb. Hotel has a gym - 0-24, free of charge, good option for the mornings. Staff is also helpful, very polite. The hotel is easily reachable by public transport - bus stop is some ten meters away, train and tube are in the nearby (10 and 15 minutes respectively). Oxford street by bus is cca. 30 minutes, downtown by train is 10. At Golders Green tube station (the nearest) you can find very good restaurants also.

"Some drawbacks I encountered with Best Western Palm Hotel"
VeryDisco, 10 Mai 2018

the service didn't quite meet the standards as the reviews stated on the internet. The staff might seem of great help at first, but they come across to be forgetting. Toiletries I had requested didn't arrive in the end. They handled amenities problems as if the guests were illiterate or didn't in 21 century. The problem was still left unsolved.

"Overnight stay whilst visiting private hospital in area"
Ianpotter83, 04 Mai 2018

The Hotel was easily found with the postcode on satnav. I stayed for 1 night just for accommodation whilst my wife was in near by private hospital. The Hotel was clean, comfortable and had everything you would need for a nights stay: Decent standard toiletries, Clean & soft bedding and towels Coffee & tea plus condiments Sky Tv + handy mobile phone with internet in room. The price was very reasonable and there was no thing to complain about. Limited parking is available at the front of the hotel and also gates parking to the rear. This is first come first served basis. Parking in the side-streets is free between 1600 & 1000hrs ( or timings near these)

"3 day break"
janicemswindlehurst, 01 Mai 2018

Clean, nice staff, obliging manager, no hand towels or bath mat in room, at breakfast next morning the Manager asked if all okay on my reporting the problem it was dealt with immediately on my return to the room towels and mat issued. Only dissapointment was no walk in shower I am elderly and cannot climb in a bath.

Pleasant stay at basic Hotel. Good price for the level of facilities. Rooms were oke. Cleaning services also OK . Staff is friendly and accurate. Food is also good although the restaurant atmosphere use some daylight;).

"What an amazing well run friendly hotel!"
londonsll, 29 Avril 2018

This hotel really is something special . I was there for ten days whilst back in london for a while and the hotel is run fabulously . The hotel is dog friendly this was the main reason I stayed but I was very impressed by how well run it was . The palm also has a gym and a 24 hour bar and room service menu. A great buffet breakfast each day is available from 630am to 10am and the all day food menu is great. I was a particular fan of their chicken panini and their dinner menu is extensive and tasty too . The hotel feels almost family run and everyone seems to get on well together, staff are all very friendly and work with a smile on their face . Thanks very much to the manager for making my stay so comfortable . The room rate is very reasonable and the hotel is in a safe area with plenty of parking.

"FA Cup semi Final"
Phil B, 24 Avril 2018

Having spent time in traffic check in was quick. We were in our room in 10 mins. Free parking on the front of the hotel was a bit tricky as you had to drive on the pavement. Rooms were very clean. Beds extremely comfortable. Breakfast was standard and good but could do with more seating. 30 min walk into Kilburn but bus stop outside the hotel got you on a very regular bus into the city centre.

"Decent Stay"
IanPLancashire, 08 Avril 2018

Checked in here this week for a night. The chap on reception was very helpful and because I was in a large van let me park in the rear car park so I was not blocking anyone. Room was large and clean and ideal. There was a bit of noise during the night from traffic as the hotel is located on a busy dual carriageway. I ate in the restaurant downstairs. Food was good if a little pricey. Overall a decent hotel for the money.

"Very welcoming"
GillD1981, 06 Avril 2018

Arrived much earlier than we originally though, staff could not have been more accommodating. Breakfast was still on so offered a table at no extra cost. The room is lovely and for the price I was surprised at the modernity of it. Underground station is not far so getting into London centre is not a problem at all. Really pleased!

"Nothing special, but for the money, it's good enough."
Andrej N, 04 Avril 2018

Close to the public transport (bus stop in front of the hotel, tube is not the best option), clean room, but a lot of noise from the road. Located directly on the bus route from Luton Airport to London. Staff nothing special, breakfast also nothing special. Very good 3 stars hotel (not 4 stars), but for the money, it's good enough.

"Another very good stay"
RazzyBthefirst, 02 Avril 2018

I don't normally do second reviews but I really do feel that some of the reviews here are a little unfair. I am not being paid by the hotel btw. The car park is small but there is car parking and it is London. We have only once not been able to get in the car park and in that instance the hotel told us exactly where there was parking without restriction. Occasionally there is noise, there's a dual carriageway outside the hotel and they do hold functions at weekends that don't go on all night. The tube is probably not the best option. The bus, a few minutes walk away, takes you to Selfridges then Oxford Circus. The above issues are factored into the price, it can be very reasonable. On previous to last visit we'd used a triple and there was simply not enough room. The hotel staff are always willing to accommodate and they offered to move us. On this visit we rang in advance and they were happy to sort us out with a better room. We used the bar late at night and were well catered for, ordering a few Ciabattas that were delicious. One minor criticism, the cooked breakfast items are uncovered and some items were a little dry, this should be addressed. Taking into account the price, we'd booked well in advance, we were very satisfied and will visit again in the near future.

"Decent for then money."
Glenn S, 02 Avril 2018

All in all, not an amazing hotel, but for the money, it's good enough, and free parking. The room: clean, air conditioning, fridge, tv with sky (our remote didn't work): occasionally got odd smell, like sewerage.. not from the bathroom, but seemed like it came through the air conditioning, only for a few moments, bit it was there none the less Bed: our double bed was 2 singles together, and the mattress' were rock hard, and i could feel a spring coming out of the side, but after all the walking we did, it was okay, and the were clean! Bathroom: clean, nice and modern with 2 showers, rainfall and a normal one. Towels smelled a bit odd, like they'd been kept in a cupboard with cooking stuffs or something. Parking: it was free, nothing bad can be said about free parking in London! Transport: nearest tube station is a good 20 minute walk, or £5 in an uber to get to Finchley Road station Also go an Uber to Camden (£9) and the Natural History museum (£14) Food: didn't eat at the hotel, but found when checking there is almost nowhere around to get a meal. The hotel is on a main road, with no business along it, so don't expect a walk to the shop for a drink All in all, not bad, a good base just to wash and sleep, cheap enough to be worth paying to travel into London from

"Great Service"
Paul R, 01 Avril 2018

Stayed twice in the last two weeks while visiting my daughter and seeing a show in London with my son. On both occasions the staff went out of their way to be polite, helpful and kind. They facilitated early check ins and late parking and generally went above and beyond to make the stay comfortable. Well appointed rooms and facilities. For the price in London this was a very pleasant experience. I have paid far more for far less. I'll be visiting again.

"Good choice in theory - Bad experience"
Claudette B, 29 Mars 2018

Never will I stay at this hotel ever again. At check in I was made to feel like a bothering criminal compelled by the receptionist Cristina "you have to pay" simply because the booking was for a total of 11 nights in theory total cost of over £2000. which it seems frightened her. I was harassed every other day at reception by the same individual "you have to pay" my fellow accompanying guest checked out 5 days before they were due because of the behaviour. After all of that I was overcharged. Be warned - never again

"Venue for my sons barmitzvah "
Esther E, 07 Mars 2018

I chose this hotel to have my sons barmitzvah in one of their function rooms called the Hampstead suite. It was the Perfect size room and the staff on the night were amazing along side the event organisers at the hotel who helped me through the whole process from start to finish. The food was delicious and everything went like clockwork ! My family who lives outside of london also stayed here for the whole weekend and were also very happy with their stay and rooms . Great location as near everything .

"Wouldn't stay again."
Sunburst1111, 07 Mars 2018

Got a good rate for the room and was allowed to check in early. The place has free SKY tv in the room, inc sports. The room is clean, inc the bathroom. Good shower. They are the good points. Bad points, The bed was two pushed together and they came apart in the night. The floor outside my room was the loudest ever, which meant each time someone walked up and down it was like they were in the room. I parked my car in the car park to the rear, and came to go and it was blocked in by 4 foreign registered cars and vans. (Parking at the front and around the back). It's a good whack from the tube. Two stations in earthed direction are a good 20-30mins walk. Buses outside however. Nothing around the hotel, bars or restaurant wise. The vote was used a lot by tradesmen. A lot of the parking was taken up by work vans.

"Great location"
Gillianbean, 04 Mars 2018

Perfect location for getting into the centre of London. Bus stop 2 minutes walk away, take 113 bus to Finchley Road train station, then train to baker street into Piccadilly. Only took about 30 minutes in total. Our room was facing the main road which is a busy dual carriageway. I was convinced the traffic noise would keep me awake but it didn't. I was aware of some noise whilst I was awake but never stopped me sleeping at all. We arrived at 11am and were given our room straight away which was fantastic. Breakfast £10 per head if paid night before was wonderful. Will definitely look to stay again next time we go to London. If you want a meal out there is a hidden gem of an Italian 10 minutes walk away. Amazing food, service and price. Look it up. Giocomos.

"Poor service"
Daniel T, 02 Mars 2018

Booked two rooms to attend a charity dinner taking place. The dinner was cancelled, so I had to cancel the rooms. Was told by the booking agent that it was the hotel's discretion would be used to refunding. I received a poorly written email, with no offer to rebook or get a refund.

"Hotel"
mick855, 28 Février 2018

nice hotel, lovely staff and very helpful. had a awful smell from our bathroom. possibly blocked drains did get offered to move rooms but the only room available was a family room so we didn't think it was fare to take a family room when there was only two of us so we just kept the bathroom door closed as much as we could.

"Another 2 night stay"
Birdiefire, 11 Février 2018

Back again for a 2 night stay on a Familiarisation trip .. This time we were given a twin room on the second floor from the décor it looked like it had been refurbished recently . We were very impressed to start with. The room was large but the bathroom had the most dreadful smell coming from it . Deodorant sprayed and it went away for a bit but returned throughout our stay. Unfortunately things didn't get any better a rough bit of the toilet handle cut my finger ( I did report that ) but trying to sleep was another issue as we had the main air conditioning unit right outside the window and there was a constant hum . As part of the Fam trip we needed to be away from the hotel very early on the first morning . Breakfast was from 0630 so we headed down early & unfortunately nothing was ready, The hot food came out in stages.. I didn't bother with it as we had to get away. The second morning it was better but we came down early to beat the rush . We have stayed at this hotel several times and you can not fault the staff who are very friendly but there are certain aspects that could be looked into.. If we come back next year I will defiantly not want to stay in the room we had this time .. It is quite expensive but I don't think it was worth the money this time .. Sorry .....

"Clean, friendly staff, parking"
Kapil B, 30 Janvier 2018

Spacious, clean twin room with Sky HD tv. Clean bathroom with toiletries. Friendly staff allowing me to leave my car when not checked in. Also prepared a drink for me after midnight upon request - many hotels would say the bar is closed. Only qualm would be the temperature of the en suite - absolutely freezing!

"Ok"
Gemmalouise93, 27 Janvier 2018

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for 1 night. All I can say is that it's ok. When we walked into our room, the window latch had broken so the room was cold and it was extremely noisy on the main road. It also had a bit of funny smell to the room - one I can't really describe but it made the place feel a bit dirty (although there was no evidence it was dirty!!) The breakfast, however, was amazing!! A proper fully English with hash browns and bacon and the lot! That was probably the best thing about the hotel. The location was also alright. It cost £30 in taxi to get from the hotel to the London eye. For about a 15 minute walk we got to a strip but it was a bit rough around the area.

"Great for local transport"
Stephen E, 16 Janvier 2018

We drove to this hotel and parked in their grounds without any problem at all (arrived Sunday morning) and were able to leave the car parked, without charge, for 3 days whilst we toured London on public transport. Buses to Oxford St pass right outside the hotel. Cricklewood rail station is 15 minutes walk away and Golders Green underground about 20 minutes walk although a bus runs there from Cricklewood Lane about 5 minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel itself is comfortable and surprisingly quiet to say most rooms front onto a major road. The breakfast (provided) was very good and the staff friendly and helpful.

"The Palm Hotel on the A41"
WeeWinkieWillie, 13 Janvier 2018

Lovely room at the back of the hotel. No noise from the busy A41. Lacklustre bar that didn't have any real ale. Easily walkable from Golders Green Tube or Kilburn BR. If you are walking to Kilburn you then can get some decent beer on Cricklewood High Rd.

"Great Breakfast"
Amy M, 10 Janvier 2018

We stayed at this hotel for my partners Birthday. It was very cheap for a nights stay in London, included breakfast and had free parking! This is hard to come by on hotels close to the centre. Hotel was great, all you needed for an overnight stay. The room was massive, so much space and very well presented and tidy. Sky television, en-suite was luxurious and tea/coffee making facilities. The reception staff were very pleasant and helpful, and the breakfast was great! We went to Lourdes Cricket Ground, then to the Zoo the following day from the hotel, and the Uber's (taxi) were all under £10. However, you could of got the tube which was within walking distance. Would definitely recommend this hotel for a weekend stay in London.

"Our hotel of choice when visiting the capital"
Jordan S, 01 Janvier 2018

My partner and I have chose Best Western Palm Hotel on more than one occasion when visiting London. Again, my reviews are based on real life expectations, a sub £150 a night hotel with FREE SECURE parking, close to links into the city centre of London. There is no compromise for all of this though. The rooms and hospitality at Palm Hotel are always befit to our expectations, a welcoming hotel which offers lovely rooms, supplied with a flat screen TV, ample room, coffee making facilities and clean linen. Now, if your visiting this hotel, its probably because your heading into the centre of London... if so it has excellent links to public transport. There is a bus stop outside the hotel which does take Oyster card only (Obviously) but does take you to the centre, otherwise you can walk (20 mins - Which we have done before) or get a cab (£10 max - Dont be ripped off) to Golders Green Tube Station for onward travel. Overall the hotel is clean and offers great commutable links if you are travelling in/ out of London. It is situated on a main dual carriageway and requires some concentration as not to drive past and miss the turn off. There is parking out front although it is limited - I would suggest requesting to park round the back where it is locked by security intercom (A more suitable idea if you plan to commute only by public transport during your stay). Overall an excellent hotel and we will once again be booking a few trips to the Palm Hotel this year.........

"Stay at Hotel"
717derekf, 29 Décembre 2017

Excellent experience - free car parking - easy access to hotel from M1 - easy access to central London by bus - the only problem we could not get the TV to operate - we had this experience previously - despite helpful member of staff he could not get it to operate on our previous stay

"Always a good stay"
martinlA6452VC, 19 Décembre 2017

We stay at the Palm on a regular basis. We find it very central for us as we visit family in the area. We find the rooms clean, practical and comfortable. We are fans of Best Western and they are always our preferred choice when we are booking hotels.

"Birthday weekend"
Ian W, 18 Décembre 2017

Stayed here two nights for a birthday weekend. We had a spacious room overlooking the car park which we asked for. Two very relaxed nights sleep was had. We didnt have breakfast at the property but we did have an evening meal on both nights which were very good. Strongly recommend the half chicken. Its about a mile to the tube but an easy walk. Would highly recommend staying here plus its outside the congestion charge for london. Staff were very pleasant. Very good weekend.

"Fantastic Room"
Rukshana A, 10 Décembre 2017

Our room was one of the recently refurbished rooms, as told by the manager. It was very modern with everything we could ask for including sky, mini fridge, hairdryer, a safe and a smart phone to use. The breakfast was well presented with many options. Absolutely loved our stay and would definitely go back.

"Would recommend"
alixfoster1, 02 Décembre 2017

Nice big comfy bed and decent size room with sofa and a table. Very clean, nice shower and staff were all very friendly and polite. Tube ride to Golders Green and then a 20minute walk (or 5min taxi) to the hotel.

"Average Hotel"
Zach H, 26 Novembre 2017

I recently stayed at this hotel after attending an event at Alexandra Palace. We had a triple room which was pretty standard but 2 of the beds were a little close together so had to move them a part a bit and also the cabling behind the TV could have been a lot neater as there were cables everywhere! (not really an issue just me being picky!) but when we arrived the car park behind the hotel was full so we was told to go around the front and park up to which we were then told, by the guy on the front door, that we can't park there as it was disabled parking. There were no signs saying it was disabled parking and then he went and checked in the hotel and asked a few people and after about 5 minutes of phone calls and conversations he finally said it was fine for us to park there. The walls are a little thin and I could hear most people walking up the stairs or going into their rooms also as we were on the first floor I could hear people downstairs either in the bar or at reception. Overall the hotel isn't that bad and was very cheap for a night in London I would stay here again but solely based on the price of the hotel and not because of anything else.

"Sara "
Saradfunk, 19 Novembre 2017

Stayed here with my husband as we were attending a show in Hammersmith. Parking could be an issue but we managed to get a spot at the front of the hotel. Staff very polite and helpful. Got upgraded to a family room which was really clean and comfortable, huge comfy bed.?? bathroom quite small very clean but had a really strange smell we assumed it was the drains smelt more like boiled cabbage not pleasant and needs attention asap.. Little far out from the centre got a taxi to Leicester Square which was £20 and tubed the rest... Booked the breakfast which was £10pp very average had a lot better.. no toaster in restaurant they bring it out to you could if done with being more toasted for my liking.. also breakfast was luke warm I like mine piping hot.. sausages were good though. Overall a decent stay think I'll stay closer to the centre next time and they really need to address that smell - not good. ?? good value for the money we paid £71 excluding breakfast.

Mariam Ageeb T, 18 Novembre 2017

Worst hotel to stay at We arrived late to hotel we went to the room and then tried to use bathroom which was for handicapped that's not suitable for our use and dangerous for one year old baby so we talk to reception and they said we are fully booked!!!. We booked and paid from a long time??? Then they offered another room and it was like a prison but we realized after we stayed because we were tired. Firstly, the air conditioner is not working so it was very hot in addition it was raining outside and very noisy so we cannot open the window. Secondly, internal telephone line also is not working .the most funny thing is that when i went to talk to reception at 5 am they said we know but we fully booked. To be fair, the manager was sorry and finally we went to nice room and breakfast was fine.

"3 Star at best"
martinsidcup, 16 Novembre 2017

Luckily I was only staying one night. I was in room 102 which was right at the end of a very gloomy and smelly corridor. The smell was lingering a bit in the room. The room overlooked the car park and there was constant noise up till 11pm. The free WiFi was slow and intermittent. I awoke in the night as the room was so cold and could not get the air con to heat it up. Breakfast was very average with most of the food being Luke warm. There was not o lot of choice for the hot(sic) buffet. What I assumed was scrambled egg was a yellowish grey rubbery looking affair. I had to ask for fried eggs. Th toast looked like it had only been waved in front of the toaster as it was more like warm bread. On the plus side most of the staff were helpful and friendly.

"Stay"
timberwolve89, 15 Novembre 2017

good stay. Excellent service. Will recommend to Friends. All the basic stuff is there. Shower room is good. Food at the restaurant is a great standard and quality. Staff and customer service is at the highest quality.

"Works very well for us"
RazzyBthefirst, 11 Novembre 2017

Having used many hotels over the years this is now a regular stay, especially now that it's such hard work to get a reasonably priced train fare into central London. This is an ideal hotel if you're using your car from the North. The Palm is outside the congestion zone, a short distance from the M1 and there's a small free car park. The rooms are clean and breakfast is good. The bar isn't up to much but the service throughout the hotel is excellent. The hotel is on a busy dual carriageway but the good thing is that you can get a bus into London from a stop that's just a short walk away. The alternative is to walk, a little uphill to Golders Green station or take a cab and get the Tube. The hotel sometimes has functions at the weekend so there's a bit of loud music but I don't think it goes on past midnight and it's never been a problem for us.

"Comfy and clean"
erdinkle, 06 Novembre 2017

We booked this hotel as it was £180 for 3 nights which for London is great (breakfast not included). Downside is that it's pretty far out. It's a 25 minute walk to the nearest tube station (Golders Green) and then once your on the tube, it's another 10 stops to Leicester Square. We felt like we spent the majority of our trip riding the underground. The room was clean and the bed was a very comfy super king. The shower was nice and hot and powerful. Only criticism is that shower plug whole was blocked with hair and the toilet backed up every time you flushed (even for no.1). Also for some reason, house keeping only cleared away the cup I drank my tea from and not the teapot, spoon or saucer I had clearly used too. We were given a free upgrade to a "family room" which was nice and big however the extra space was filled with a leather sofa and coffee table, neither of which we used. I think having a de-clutter of the unnecessary furniture would have made the room feel bigger and more attractive. What's more is that our room was right above the function room which was having a party on the Saturday night which we weren't invited to, and so we were kept awake until after 1am. Also, we seemed to be surrounded by other guests with small children which were up at the crack of dawn screaming and running up and down the hallway. It'd be worth having a think about putting guests near to other guests with the same party age groups and credentials so that they have simular routines etc. Overall our stay was pleasant but I wouldn't stay again purely because the hotel is just too far out of the main tourist areas.

"Anniversary stay"
judy202015, 29 Octobre 2017

Service, WiFI, breakfast ans staff were fantastic. Aneil could not have done more for us, he was friendly helpful and went the extra mile. Your acts of kindness and the wine were perfect after seeing London and going to the theatre. The perfect anniversary stay. As you say small acts, when multiplied by millions of people, can transform the world.

"Comfortable and welcoming"
Rosemary M, 23 Octobre 2017

They upgraded my room to an executive standard room at no extra cost. Very comfortable room and bed. Good breakfast with a very wide choice. It's a shame that arriving back later after an evening out parking places near the hotel were all full but I guess that's always going to be an issue for London hotels...at least there is some parking and free evening parking in neighbouring streets.

"Great stay - lovely place"
Lori H, 16 Octobre 2017

We stayed for a week (Oct 4 - 13, 2017) and found the hotel to be clean, bright, quiet and very comfortable. The continental breakfast was well presented, had variety and was good food. The staff were helpful, friendly and courteous. The surprise was the provision of a complimentary cell phone/gps that was helpful beyond description and made getting around a breeze. The location is on a bus route that is very convenient with great connections. Would not hesitate to recommend.

"Great Hotel"
Steve B, 11 Octobre 2017

Was in business so a one nighter here. The hotel is in a main road which gets very busy however I was on the 2nd floor and had a very large room, sky TV, good bed and decent sized desk area for work. The breakfast was very good and all the staff are very friendly and helpful. If I was in the area again I would stay here.

"Lovely Hotel"
karensar, 05 Octobre 2017

We have enjoyed our 3 day break here. Such a lovely, spacious room, tucked away at the rear of the hotel so nice and quiet. Very clean, mini fridge, lovely shower, good sized TV. As there was so much floor space in the room, a small sofa would have made it perfect! Very friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely return.

"A great hotel"

Went to this hotel had a great experience really friendly staff clean tidy rooms would recommend to anybody 10/10. This hotel was one of the best hotels we stayed at in this country the breakfast was excellent five minutes away for Wembley stadium the staff could not do enough for you sky tv in our room which was excellent nice bar area to relax

"Wonderful stay"
Carys L, 02 Octobre 2017

Well... what can I say! I cannot sing the praises too much for this hotel. The staff were attentive and nothing was too much trouble. They were very pleasant and caring, ensuring that the stay was comfortable. The beds were extremely comfortable- I have spinal problems and was thankful for this! Room was clean and airy. Disabled bathroom was very spacious and clean Food was great As we had a disabled blue badge , staff had reserved a parking space for us, as parking is limited. The gym was used by my sister and she siad it was good. I would highly recommend this hotel amd I will definately return

"Fab & family friendly "
writetobex, 28 Septembre 2017

We came for two nights mid August, a family of four. On arrival they hadn't put up a cot, but got straight on it and offered us all a drink while we waited, one member of staff, Brian's was fantastic with our four year old and continued to check we were doing okay throughout our trip, he even helped us carry the bags up. We were able to park easily throughout our stay, the room was large and comfortable, even with the travel cot up. Not too far from the tube station if you catch the bus, as we went into central London both days Breakfast was fantastic, the kids loved the waffle iron set up (well we all did) I also had a baby making an awful mess on the floor but they were really helpful and didn't make us feel uncomfortable, I felt at ease breastfeeding throughout the hotel too I'd recommend this hotel to a friend and would definitely stay again

"Superb"
Khaldoun S, 25 Septembre 2017

Nice and cozy hotel Calm and offers free parking Renovated floors fresh looking rooms and facilities Very reasonable room size comparing to London hotels Close to major shopping malls and markets, Tesco, Brent Cross I love this place

"Good value"
strolling8, 20 Septembre 2017

Needed last minute overnight stay and as it was London fashion week my usual choices were over £200 a night so ended up here at £89 for a double room for one. I used a taxi from Golders Green tube at £6 there and £7 back. Reception is the most modern part of the hotel but my ground floor room was fine and I had a decent nights sleep despite the road being extremely noisy and the room just off it. Breakfast was again ok. Rating given takes account of price I paid for a decent clean room in a pricey location.

"Beautiful event venue"
620jennifer, 10 Septembre 2017

I would highly recommend the event venue at this hotel and Emma who is responsible for booking events at the hotel. Our guests were very complimentary about the venue. It's a very accessible venue, value for money, delicious food and good staff. All my requests were met by Emma without complaint or hesitation. I particularly enjoyed the food tasting that helped me select the menu that was enjoyed by all our guests. I'm so glad I used the hotel catering and bar Everything run beautifully. Thank you Emma, the Chef and duty manager. My guests enjoyed their stay at the hotel. Unfortunately we had a slight problem with the drain in the room I stayed in overnight but it was a lovely spacious room and I'm sure they have resolved the problem. That's the only reason for the 4 very good rating. The event itself I rate 5 EXCELLENT.

"Comfortable and reasonable value"
Nigel B, 29 Août 2017

We wanted somewhere close to the M1 and only a shirt drive into the city centre. This fitted the bill nicely. On arrival there was a parking space on the front. Front reception nice and modern looking and clean. The hotel is situated on a vety busy road but that is to be expected by a hotel chain. Check-in was quick receptionist very friendly. The hotel appears to have originally been many house now joined together. This results in the flooring being uneven but with lighting on PIT then switch on when you approach. Our room on the end floor was very spacious and the shower room very modern and extremely clean. Bar facility was ok, bar meal was good. We didn't stay for breakfast as we had to be out early but would certainly return again.

"Good position for our visit"
Jane M, 21 Août 2017

We needed a hotel for two nights with easy access to both Hampstead and West Hampstead and this fitted the bill. Price was reasonable, room reasonably large with storage space but very dated. Plenty of sockets and some near mirrors, tea and coffee making facilities plus fridge. Bathroom excellent with both overhead and handheld shower. Parking available both front and back, which was a huge plus for us. Breakfast the next morning was a bit chaotic as they were very short staffed, but lots of selection, quite well cooked and good value. This was very convenient for us but the hotel really needs to spend some money refurbishing, especially carpets.

"Worse 4 star hotel"
charljones37, 19 Août 2017

I booked this hotel as a final leg of our holiday, to see the sights of London. The photos of the hotel on the sites make it look a lovely looking hotel. The hotel is situated on a very busy dual Carriageway. We had the executive room. The reception looked modern but that was where it ended. The corridors leading to the rooms were dark and gloomy, there was a horrible smell also. The room itself was very gloomy, not very clean and the same horrible smell. The bathroom was dirty. The shower unit needed a good clean. The toiletries were cheap. Really didn't like this hotel at all. As a 4 star hotel this is terrible. It was so bad we ended up checking out and as they had already took our money upon booking, it wasn't refundable. Worse hotel I've ever stayed in.

"Excellent Value for money"
NadineS1900, 13 Août 2017

I picked this hotel speciaifcally because of the price and parking. There is parking to the rear which is gated for extra security and also at the front. The staff are very helpful and friendlt. The hotel is ideally located within walking distance of public transport. The rooms were clean and spacious and the shower was lovley, there was even a complimentary hair driver.

"average"
metamick2015, 08 Août 2017

not a lot to say really the title says it all. the rooms clean.the staff very nice. good selection at breakfast but some items not very warm. the location could be better being on a busy road and a fair distance from the atractions of london

"Clean, free parking and friendly staff"
Mo2012, 05 Août 2017

I have stayed here with friends in January and also booked a 2 night stay with my family. No cons or whatsoever about this hotel during both stays. Great spot, when travelling by car because of free parking. Very clean hotel, friendly staff. There were some issues with WiFi along with one of the iphones. But that was solved eventually. Like I said, great and comfortable stay. Very clean, also the rest- and bathrooms. Would recommend this to any other touris when centrally located spots are not an issue.

"What a gem! "
TMTLTBMG, 04 Août 2017

Had an excellent stay at the Palm this week. I booked it through Trip Advisor and got a great price. The previous reviewers said positive things but seemed to be lacking some n generosity with their "blobs". I don't know why. Firstly, the location is fabulous. It's on a direct bus route to the Lord's Cricket Ground and Oxford Circus (113). There is free parking on a first come, first served basis (we arrived at 3pm and consequently were fortunate to be able to use this). It's on the A41, and outside of the congestion charge area. So it's easy to drive here and then use public transport for your travel around London. Our room was generously proportioned and although I was surprised to find a step down from the bed to the main part of the room. I found the raised bed very useful for sorting my things with less bending than usual, which saved my poorly back. There is s desk with Ethernet cable, a choice of teas (inc breakfast and green tea) and coffee, with mugs. The bathroom has a mirror with lights around it and this comes on automatically when you stand near it. Particularly useful at night when using the bathroom as the main switch also turns on the inevitable fan, which is not ideal if you want to allow your dearly beloved some rest. We had a front facing room at the very far end of the corridor. It felt a bit of a trek but meant we were not disturbed by other guests. The room was clean. The shower cubicle was large and offered either rain drop or directional spray. I had a good refreshing shower with consistent water temperature. Shower gel, shampoo, body lotion, shower cap and soap were provided. The shower gel smelt nice too. There is a lift. The staff were professional and our check in process was really quick. Durrell (my apologies if I spell his nam incorrectly), was a credit to the company. He offered breakfast and other restaurant services but without the pushy hard sell I often encounter. He was exceedingly helpful offering detailed travel advice and checking taxi charges for us. On our checkout day, I found Jade on reception was equally friendly and enquiries after our stay. Any negatives? The kettle in our room did not switch off when it boiled and there were was one ceiling bulb and two tiny lights on the mirror not working in the the bathroom. We mentioned this at check out and were assured that it would be resolved before the next guest. It hasn't impacted on us but obviously for safety they'll sort the kettle as a priority. There are steps at the front entrance (the side entrance a few paces away, would enable you to glide in as it was sloping, but this has a sign on it asking you not to use it), not ideal when you're pulling a suitcase and like me, have a back problem. I'd like to see this changed. Also along the corridor on the first floor, there are two lots of steps, one set was st the same time as one of the heavy fire doors, so if you have mobility problems these will impact upon you. Overall, any negatives were minor and wouldn't impact on most people. This hotel is excellent value for the location and facilities.

"ok for business stop over"
Simon W, 04 Août 2017

At first I thought this was great, albeit while it has free parking, it's kinda adhoc. My room was in the roof and had an angled roof window (velux) that the blind wouldn't close a stay shut. This was unfortunate and the room was comfortable. I mentioned this, they checked it and moved me to another room. They did this in a friendly and very helpful manner. The stay was comfortable, quiet and had great wifi and a shower to die for. The whole experience was great until the last morning when half way through breakfast a lady came upto me and said "You have not paid for this, you will have to pay!!" I produced a receipt from my wallet and quietly said "You're right, I've paid for three and only had two". She left. And that was it... and obviously the last time I will stay there. Shame really, I thought is was ok until then.

"Hotel to explore Golders Green/ Hampstead area"
gweeboonhiah, 21 Juillet 2017

Room was very comfortable and clean. Difficult to access wifi but reception was helpful with that. Location ideal for Golders Green and Hamostead Heath which was good for us as we could explore the less touristy sights of London. There is a bus outside the hotel that takes you directly to Piccadilly Circus

"Short Weekend Stay"
suchy911, 18 Juillet 2017

Hotel was modern and stylish with attentive and helpful staff. Room was nicely furnished and clean. Tea and coffee making facilities were good with a good selection restocked each day along with toiletries being restocked too. Double bed was clearly just two single beds pushed together which was odd but were comfortable and clean. Allowed me to leave the car in there car park for free all Sunday even though I had to officially check out at 12. Breakfast catered for a wide range of tastes from basic cereal, bacon, scrambled egg, sausage, toast, hash brown, cheese and biscuits to more european style pastry's and muffins, fruits and more.

"Celebration Break"
bubblegum12, 14 Juillet 2017

Booked this hotel due to Location-this was a break to celebrate my daughters graduation at Middlesex uni. A short walk from Brent Cross station walk able but of you have mobility problems may be better to jump bus 113 which is easy accessible on the main stretch and very frequent. Hotel looks nice and clean outside and in on first impressions. Reception staff quite reserved and quiet. Rooms very different in size and shape can be quite compact. Andi in the evening restaurant very chatty and very friendly and polite. Breakfast time can be a little chaotic depending on time you go in. The first day we entered very early and it was quiet. The second day we went much later as as busy seemed very chaotic and we had to ask for lots of things to be made available. Food wasn't very hot and the set up didn't flow for me. I know this is London but having stayed in a best western before they are very different depending on area and you cant compare one against the other. I think the cost was a little higher than I would have expected for the facilities here but this wouldn't stop me recommended this hotel to others or even staying again given the easy access to all amenities around London

"Fine for a night or two"
29Jetsetter, 13 Juillet 2017

Clean, modern interior and bedrooms, friendly staff and a good breakfast. 2 main things let this hotel down for us- 1. There was an unpleasant smell in Room 11 when we stayed. Both in the room and the bathroom. Slight eggy/sewage smell which was off putting. 2. When we got back to the hotel at night (11pm) there were no parking spaces available so had to park on the side road and risk a fine. I guess they're lucky to have off road parking in London but I guess there's just never enough. Other than that it was very nice and comfortable.

"Nice affordable hotel"
gem115, 13 Juillet 2017

We were visiting London for a concert in Hyde Park and had looked at hotels close to Hyde Park which looked ok and convenient but when you add in congestion charge and car parking charges it was getting rather expensive so looked further afield and this was a great find, not too far out of London but far enough out to not pay congestion charge, free parking (although restricted to 35 cars so first come first serve basis) nice room, very comfy bed nice bathroom very clean and a large varied breakfast. The room we stayed in was a little smaller than expected and the air con was not good especially when it was around 30 degrees, it wasn't possible to increase the fan speed it seemed to be programmed to a certain temperature and speed and reset itself each time we tried to change it! We stayed at the front of the hotel so it was fairly noisy but we didn't get back until late so didn't struggle to go off to sleep! Overall I wasn't overly put off and would consider staying again but would request a room at the rear of the property. Also staff were very pleasant and helpful.

"Affordable, but you sacrifice the distance"
goochi2015, 11 Juillet 2017

The rooms were always well stocked and cleaned by the room attendants. The pictures on their website showing the rooms is a little deceptive. I booked for three people hoping to get the room with three single beds, got a room with a double and pull out couch. Front of the hotel is noisy with traffic. The bus stop is very close to the hotel to take you to the train station or Central London. Traffic is heavy which takes for a longer commute. Otherwise for the price compared to hotels in Central London, this was affordable.

"Very good Hotel "
Steve G, 11 Juillet 2017

We were very impressed with the Palm Hotel, extremely clean Hotel very helpful staff the food was a very reasonable price along with the bar. Parking was easy but could be a problem if hotel very busy. Would definitely stay here again when in the area.

"Visit to London"
Oily1966, 09 Juillet 2017

Great hotel credit to the staff very professional. Full marks for cleanliness as well. Great location if you don't like to drive to far into London & about a 15 minute walk to Golders Green underground (northern line).

"Stayed for ELO Concert at Wembley."
Mick A, 01 Juillet 2017

Stayed here on the Friday and Saturday night ready for the ELO concert at Wembley Stadium. We had a room on ground floor with twin beds . It was clean and tidy, had everything you need for a short stopover . Shower was good bathroom not bad. I found the staff to be helpful and pleasant enough when i asked for more coffee/milk etc . I had no problem with the breakfast at all it filled me up for the day and the staff were helpfull too. On arrival Friday night i looked at the meals on offer in the restaurant, they seemed expensive and not to my liking, but go to the bar order food from there and it was ok for the price we paid . Lots of people booked taxis to go Wembley , we used bus and tube, was no problem at all .30 mins to get to Wembley and a bit longer coming back due to massive amount of people at Wembley Park station. We were back in the hotel bar by just after 11.30 having a drink with other ELO fans :) All in al i found the stay at the hotel good enough for what we paid and expected .

"HOTEL BESIDE DUAL CARRIAGEWAY"
MadamZsaZsa, 01 Juillet 2017

I booked into this hotel (Advanced Purchase Rate) in January for my 8-night stay in June. The cost was deducted from my current account in February. When I arrived on June 20th everything went without a hitch and the charming young ladies on the Reception desk couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. My room was very quiet, located under the eaves but the windows had been sealed on Health & Safety grounds. However, it was en suite, comfortable with all the core facilities expected, coupled with a hospitality tray. This suited me admirably as I don't eat breakfast and the room was serviced every day. The first impression of the hotel is bright, light, airy, clean and cosy. Glass doors, colourful blooming flowerbeds, large pots of peace lilies and palm trees greet you on arrival. As I was staying during a heatwave - one day the temperature nudged 35C or 95F - I only ate light meals in the bar. The male bar staff were very friendly and great conversationalists. Bar meals were excellent, though the battered cod left a lot to be desired. The 113 bus which passes the door was most useful for getting places, though every so often Reception booked a cab for me when requested. Located a fair distance from Golders Green Underground Station, it could pose a bit of an inconvenience on occasion. However, I was in London to visit the family grave in Edgware, meet up with family and friends and to include visits to one or two places of interest as well. (The RAF Museum at Colindale, just up the Northern Line, is well worth a visit. It's their centenary next year, so I shall be returning again in June 2018). There is limited parking at this hotel, so it is a case of 'first come first served'. As well as tourists and visitors, the hotel also accommodates professionals and tradesmen judging from the mixed clientele in the bar. Indeed, one evening I left the bar early, football was on TV and all the guys were glued to it! Unfortunately, because of the heat and a reduced appetite, I never tried out the diningroom so cannot make any comment on what the experience would be like. Very highly recommended. I would most certainly stay here again - and maybe I will come June next year.

"Faultless"
Zowie S, 29 Juin 2017

We stayed here for a night as we were going to wembley for a concert all staff were excellent the place is very clean our room was comfy and the shower was amazing ! Breakfast was nice too with lots of choice

"Our Stay At The Palm"
Simon R, 29 Juin 2017

We stayed at the Palm for three nights in June on a visit to London. I didn't want to stay in central London due to the cost and recent events, so tried to find something just outside the city. The Palm Hotel cost about £350 for three nights. It is situated not far from Golders Green Station (15-20 minute walk or 5 minute taxi journey). We had pre-paid for this hotel through Booking.Com and check in was fast an easy. The receptionist that dealt with us was curt and a little abrupt, but that didn't bother me too much. All the rest of the staff I spoke to were lovely. The room itself was nothing special. Twin beds, bathroom with shower, flat screen tv, desk with tea/coffee making facilities, and wardrobe. There were no drawers to put things in which I always like to have, but this isn't a major issue. The room felt tired (although the bathroom was fairly modern) and I get the impression it could do with a bit of a makeover. There is free Wi-Fi. Other people have commented that the breakfasts weren't very good. I didn't have any problems with mine. There is a choice of hot and cold food, and you can order tea and coffee and toast as well. This is where one of my few complaints comes in. There are a selection of juices available, two of which claim to be "suitable for diabetics". I am type 2 diabetic and thought I would try one of these. I can tell you that they are absolutely NOT suitable for type 2 diabetics. This fruit juice spiked my sugar very quickly and It took most of the day to come down. Whoever put this notice on these fruit juices, unless you are qualified and certified medical professional, you are not wise to be telling people something is suitable for diabetics when it isn't. Fruit juice, by its very nature, contains sugars, whether it claims to be sugar free or not. You should remove these signs. My other problem came at breakfast itself. This isn't an issue with the staff, or the hotel, but the complete rudeness and lack of respect from some of the other guests towards the waiting staff. I am not sure if this is how London is in general (because we did see it in other places around the city) but the way some people talk to the waiting staff is disgraceful. Take a look at yourself people and remember these guys are working very hard, probably for minimum wages, to serve you. If something isn't right then yes, you have right to complain, but there's a way to do things and treating people like dirt is not it. I had no problem with any of the staff and I would like to thank them for looking after us. On the Saturday night we needed to get to Wembley Stadium and the hotel booked us a taxi from the company they use. So you can do this as well. All in all, this isn't a bad hotel but could be better. When you go somewhere like London, the hotel is generally somewhere just to put your head, so as long as it's clean (which this was) then I don't mind. I would stay here again.

"Couldn't find long standing booking, even after confirmed this week"
jamesaway13, 26 Juin 2017

Poor, very poor. fobbed us off even though we had booking verification with us. Not given room booked had to argue to get a room and it was awful. Smelt bad & sullen staff. Bed like a bundle screwed up chicken wire rather than a mattress on a bed Not nice, probably worst stay in a hotel ever had. If not been Saturday Afternoon would have tried to find somewhere decent.

"Up to standard, same as most hotels"
Amanda S, 25 Juin 2017

Stayed here for one night whilst seeing a concert at Wembley on a Saturday night. Was told parking was first come, first serve and no spaces when we got there. Found a space outside and paid via machine which was quite reasonable at £2 for 3 hours (payable 1pm-8pm) but a nuisance to set up and then renew every 3 hours. Anyway, the staff were friendly enough, the rooms were clean and decorated fine. One thing to mention though is that we got 2 double rooms (numbers 110 and 112) and must say the bed in room 110 was more like a large single (but it had a bigger shower) and the bed in 112 was 2 singles pushed together - making it much larger!! (But a shower over the bath instead). So either of these rooms could be more suitable. Also note the cost of the taxi from hotel to Wembley was £30 each way! However, there was no chance of getting the tube back after the show so it was worth it for us. We didn't have any drinks or food so can't comment on this.

"1 night "
Jayne B, 25 Juin 2017

Parking is very limited we were lucky but many others weren't parking around the hotel is also very restricted to residents only .check in all good ,room was clean and stocked but had to get another card to wedge in the power to get lights to work this is normal?? As the receptionist said . Tea tray very nice but no spoon . The mattress on the bed was very worn and I could feel every spring , it needs replacing the other bed was much more comfortable after an early morning swap . Breakfast was average a lack of tables for guest left people sat in the lobby for quite a while . The first 2 plates I picked up were dirty and I think the staff were over stretched . Over all it was over priced for what should be a 4* it runs like a2* don't think I would choose to stay here again

"Worst client care I've ever experienced"
Steffi49, 21 Juin 2017

Awful. The least accommodating, worst hotel experience I've ever had and it cost well over 200 pounds for two nights for the privilege. Unbelievably bad, and a massive rip-off. I would never consider booking there again.

"Overnight stay for the Cricket"
Amanda J, 13 Juin 2017

Found the hotel quite easily and parking was perfect. Reception staff were pleasant and helpful. The room was fairly basic and on a noisy road. The hotel had a funny smell about it and our room key stopped working a number of times, the bed was very uncomfortable and probably in need of a new mattress. All in all ok for what we needed. We had breakfast in the hotel restaurant and although we had pre warned them I was gluten free they didn't accommodate that, breakfast was the worse Id ever had in a hotel, cold, covered in fat and egg shells in the scrambled eggs. I asked for gluten free bread, but I was told they didn't have any and they would try and get some for the next day, needless to say we skipped that breakfast.

"Last minute booking"
Stuart R, 07 Juin 2017

Booked very last minute. The hotel did a deal with breakfast for £99. Room was fine no faults with that. Wifi was a bit hit and miss it kept stopping. £99 I was expecting something a little bit better and this was a reduced rate due to it being so last minute.

"Get what you pay for.. its London"
TheFwords, 05 Juin 2017

This hotel is cheap in comparison to most hotels in London. I stayed here for 2 nights, if your driving its perfect its straight off the motorway and has parking at the front and rear - very easy. But the hotel is a 20 minuet walk to the nearest underground tube station - Golders Green. A taxi from the hotel to central is £17 one way with an Uber. The rooms are large but need modernising their is carpet and the bed linen isn't the cleanest. There is HD TV with a sky box and the bathrooms are very small but clean and modernish. The hallway in the hotel smells really funny and is very bizarre. This hotel is cheap and not central london. For something the same price in central London would be a lot more expensive. If you don't need parking you could stay in central but the room size would be a lot smaller and you would be paying more. This hotel is great for drivers who don't plan on spending any time in the hotel and don't mind walking to get the tube.

"Modern, clean and bright"
Motley2112, 04 Juin 2017

Really nice hotel, all very good, but pretty no frills. Parking is brilliant, but you do have a good 15 min walk to Golders Green tube station. From the tube, London opens up in front of you, easy to get anywhere pretty quickly Try walking to the top of Hampstead which takes about half hour.

"Simply not good enough "
yeoster, 31 Mai 2017

I knew it was on a main road, so the road noise was not a problem. The room was spacious, comfortable bed and the facilities looked good. That is where it ends. I was on the second floor and the hotel did not have sufficient water pressure for me to have a shower at the same time as people on the lower floor; yes i was all lathered up and my room ran out of water. I did have a complimentary breakfast. Then with a wedding at the hotel, its small car park was full. I was told by a hotel representative which side streets have free parking. I do not live local and following this advice got a parking ticket on sunday 28th May. So palm hotel are you prepared to pay the £55 parking ticket on my behalf?

"Starving"
Olivermac, 23 Mai 2017

Stayed in an executive room for one night not a bad room apart from the horrendous noise from the traffic try get a room away from the front of the hotel, one thing that needs serious attention is the food, we were 2 adults and 2 children we would have liked to have had a meal in the resteraunt but they don't cater for children and Lamb Shank with potatoes was the cheapest at £16 pretty steep for a child needless to say we opted for Burger and chips from the bar menu at £10 pp I asked the waiter to make sure that the 2 burgers for the children were just plain burgers and chips needless to say I might as well have spoken to a brick wall as the burgers turned up with all the trimmings apart from the adults and the mustard was missing on one of the adults. Breakfast at £12.95 was an absolute disgrace I have never witnessed a breakfast that there were only one choice of egg scrambled and this had a crust on top of it obviously the other clients felt the same way as it looked like it had sat there for some time when we entered the breakfast room the bacon looked like it had never seen a grill or indeed an oven there were plenty of rashes of bacon sadly it was just raw obviously other clients were in the same frame of mind as I did not witness many trying it out, the bar prices are comparable with the Hilton in London so make sure you have plenty of credit on your credit card, regarding the food take sandwiches with you at least you know what you are getting.

"Great Hotel"
Alexander J, 21 Mai 2017

Stayed here whilst sightseeing in London. The hotel itself is super easy to drive to, with ample secure parking. The rooms are comfortable, with all of the core facilities you need for a few nights away. Access to the City is good too with the 113 bus going to Oxford Circus every five minutes. Would highly recommend, and I'll definitely stay here again myself.

"Would not go back"
111ladytraveller, 21 Mai 2017

The staff were helpful, but the problems I had have all been posted on previous reviews. It is disappointing that a large company , with the resources to remedy the issues have chosen to ignore them. The hotel is not good value for money, even with London prices. If you read my other reviews and value the same qualities that I have written about, sadly this hotel is not for you. There is no excuse for no shower door, or a mattress with springs poking you in the back.

"Second visit here"
Harvey R, 20 Mai 2017

We stayed at this hotel in Oct 2016 and we had a family gathering over the weekend of May 12 th so we stayed again . After the first night there seemed to develop a strong smell of sewage, we were moved promptly to another room for the remainder of our 3 day stay which didn't have this problem. The hotel was clean and comfortable and well situated, we asked for a quiet room and got one. A word of warning this hotel is situated on Hendon way and probably some of the rooms might have traffic noise, also there can be a problem with parking if there is a function at the hotel as it operates a first come first served parking policy and there are parking restrictions on the side roads nearby. We didn't have the breakfast so couldn't comment about it.All in all we would stay there again.

"London visit"
Lakelands22, 17 Mai 2017

Visited this hotel on a coach trip from Kendal,Unfortunately the weekend we were there,on the Saturday a wedding had been booked. We were kept awake until very late that evening. The noise was horrendous. Breakfast was very badly organised, and was more like a bun fight. Would not recommend to stay on a weekend.

"Good Hotel"
Lorraine S, 07 Mai 2017

My partner and I stayed a night here. Rooms clean, comfortable and well appointed had all the Best Western touches, slippers, dressing gowns and decent toiletries. Parking is on a first come first served basis, with parking at the front and back. Breakfast wasn't bad...tasty fresh produce, although my bacon was a little cold, and I would have preferred a Fried Egg option, instead of the tired looking scrambled egg in the Breakfast Buffet. So that lost a few points with me. Overall not a bad stay and would stay again if I needed to.

"Lovely stay"
Lulu2187, 03 Mai 2017

Me and my friend we stayed on Sunday night, the room was very comfortable, the breakfast was delicious with a lot of choises. Staff from reception very helpful and José the bartender was very attentive and friendly person! Would recommend! Thank you for a lovely stay!

"The little hotel, that's full of big surprises"

I stayed here recently for a work event. I was pleasantly surprised that the hotel is really very nice, especially the bathrooms. Yes, the rooms are extremely small, and I do mean extremely, but it was a very pleasant place to stay with extremely helpful staff.

"Total Lack of organisation"
fishermanrob, 01 Mai 2017

On visiting this hotel, first impressions were favourable, HOWEVER they quickly went down hill. The lift doors were in need of servicing having a struggle to close due to catching, the staff were very good on reception, especially when the electronic room keys all stopped functioning. HOWEVER, there was a wedding reception being held, and the noise from the ball room, was indescribable ,it sounded like a bass speaker was on the ceiling, and made certain rooms vibrate. On asking the reception to request a reduction in sound only made them turn it up.. All in all a very disappointing night as no peace till midnight Saturday night 29th april. The breakfast quality was excellent, however very let down by lack of detail to table layouts, people having to ask for cutlery continuously, I requested a fried egg, as only scrambled was on the hot plates, and it took the best part of 15 minutes to be served a very insipid fried egg. It will be ONE hotel I will NOT STAY AT EVER AGAIN. !!!

"Had a few family functions here, not impressed"
mariamoraha, 29 Avril 2017

My family have been using the Palm Hotel for a few years now for family functions and I have to say I am not impressed at all. If I could leave a zero I would. They are disorganised, the staff inexperienced (usually using agency staff who do not know the area they are working in at all) and the management are quite rude. I definitely do not recommend them at all

"Very good "
MarcosCarrilho92, 19 Avril 2017

Everything was nice, the staff was amazing, commodation, nice clean rooms, the bed is excellent! The only think i didnt like was the food cause the british food is not that good, but is not a hotel problem but in general.. Its a little bit far from the center but there was a bus 2 min walking from the hotel! Glad that i used only uber and was really fast!

"Fabulous stay at the best western"
furby786, 18 Avril 2017

Great stay at the best western the hotel I would rate as 5*. Was a bus and tube away from kings cross and really easy to get to and was a decent price for three nights stay especially if your looking for something reasonably priced in london. Would definitely recommend the breakfast there was so much variety from pastries to waffles to cereal to a full English breakfast. The staff was really helpful in providing details of easiest ways to get places and providing anything we needed. Was a great stay and would definitely recommend it as the place to stay when in london!!

"Excellent breakfast"
Michal Š, 17 Avril 2017

I stayed there for one night only but all I can say, it was perfect. The room was finished to a high standard. The breakfast in the morning was just excellent even though it would be just typical english breakfast. There are lots of fruits and bakery to choose from. There is a small car park as well and I found a space even at 23:00 which was brill. The only downside of my room - it was a bit noisy as there's a main road just in front of the hotel. But apart from that all good. Would deffo recommend.

"Gets my worst bed ever award!"
Rosemary M, 16 Avril 2017

Shocking nights sleep in a bed where I could feel every spring. I expected to be covered in bruises in the morning! I came close to simply getting up and walking out. Describes itself as 4*. I have had far better beds in a youth hostel. Best western should be ashamed.

"Good value friendly hotel"
Simon G, 20 Novembre 2016

Have stayed here before n rated it higher. (This time stayed here with wife as well who dropped rating by one star because of location) Is on bus route but not tube station. However hotel did arrange taxi to take us to eat at delissarie in Golders Green n they were efficient n cheap - only £8. Room good size n beds comfy. Staff very friendly n efficient. Limited parking - first come first served basis n if none left then on street parking is limited to 3 hours at a time between certain date time hours n charged accordingly. Get there early! English breakfast good but they had run out of some stuff when we got down (half an hour before end) again staff were good - not only sorted it but compensated for it financially - can't say fairer than that! Don't opt for continental unless u just want sweet stuff. All in all pleasant stay n would stay again.

"Trip to London"
Martin C, 18 Novembre 2016

Nice hotel incl. the room with free Wi-Fi. Buffet breakfasts were OK but poor choice of bakery products and of ham/salami & cheese. Convenient bus stop by the hotel for direct travels to the center of London.

"Don't listen to the poor reviews!"
Damon N, 16 Novembre 2016

I've been staying here for 2 years, mostly a few times per month. Staff are lovely, greet you in and out. Ideal location to get into the centre. 15 min walk to Golders Green, 15 mins and your in London centre. Love staying here

"I've stayed that many times now the staff know my name"
Damon N, 15 Novembre 2016

I love this hotel ideal for travelling into London center and if you like a walk there a few pubs and easy to get to places to eat, I stayed last night i'm here for three nights so for a change instead of eating here every night i walked about a mile to the local Wetherspoons The Beaten Docket it wasn't food like they serve here but a change is as good as a rest so they say. We now book our rooms through Yan which makes it so easy she is ace. Thanks to all the staff for being so professional....

"Mr presley"
Jade R, 14 Novembre 2016

This motel is overpriced.rooms were very dusty.food ive eaten better in burger king.staff very insulting at times.never again.parking rediculous.big car park at the rear but they wont let you park in it.if you have a nice car like mine.you would expect a lock up car park as advertised.not expecting people to park in the street when they have ample parking at the rear .totally disapointed.i couldnt put my family through that again.

"50th birthday stay"
SGFDewey, 09 Novembre 2016

The room was a very good size, very clean and good facilities.Fantastic shower big enough for two.Good location but a little far from town if you don't have a car and don't want to use the tube or buses.Friendly staff ,a great stay.would go back again.

"Anniversary Weekend"
Nettylou, 06 Novembre 2016

Stayed here for one night with friends for our anniversary weekend. Second stay at this hotel. Great location with secure parking, 10-15 minute walk to Golders Green tube station in central London within 10 mins. Hotel rooms spottlessly clean, bathrooms spacious. Excellent choice for breakfast something to please even the fussiest eaters. Already pre-booked for next year for anniversary. Highly recommended

"Another excellent stay."
Christopher N, 02 Novembre 2016

My wife and I stayed here for a one night stay on a Thursday night in late October. This was our second stay here this year and our fifth stay overall. We choose this hotel again based on location, comfort and reliability of the standards we have always received here.We arrived and parked in the secure car park at the back of the hotel.Check in was quick and efficient once again. The room was large and very clean.Beds are a very personal choice but for us,they are the most comfortable we have ever had in any hotel we have visited.Breakfast was again very nice with a large selection.Checkout was quick and efficient as always.Would we recommend this hotel ? Certainly. Will we return... Without adout.( p.s check out their prices, extremely competitive).

"Great location with secure parking"
Ian B, 01 Novembre 2016

Stayed at this hotel several times now and we always get a comfortable nights rest. Staff and friendly and helpful. Extremely easy to get to from M1 without queuing for hours (just over 2 miles from M1) bus around the corner to Golders Green tube. We will be staying again!

"Good Stop-Over Business"
Chimpanzee1001, 30 Octobre 2016

Good stop-over for business, Found the Best Western Palm Hotel via Hotels.com. Great Restaurant with a good selection of a la carte or set menu choices. Nice comfortable room to a high standard with a real walk-in shower, I had a room at the front onto a dual carriageway, which when curtains were drawn wouldn't know was there. I will make the Palm Hotel my first choice for booking when in near by Golders Green a pleasant 15 minute walk. I don't know about parking although it looked full all the time.

"Comfortable overnight stay"
Hencharding, 28 Octobre 2016

Stayed here for one night. Did not bring car as parking said it be limited, but would have been able to park. Large room. Good breakfast lots of choice. Obliging staff. Quite a walk uphill to tube, especially if you have cases. Had 2nd floor room, so not disturbed by traffic noise from busy road.

"Theatre break weekend"
suthick, 25 Octobre 2016

Stayed at the Best Western Palm Hotel for two nights as part of a Theatre Break booking. Reception inviting and efficient booking in, was a little concerned when we were given the room next to the bar, facing the main road, I thought no sleep for us but this was not the case, no noise even on the Friday night when there was a party/function. Breakfast was good for choice and quality, there was one part used jar of jam on our table one morning but this was put right on request. We did use the restaurant in the evening for one meal and again the choice and value for money was good. For getting into the city centre it was quite a walk to the tube station uphill but the trip into Tottenham Court Road for the theatre and Waterloo for the London Eye was quick and easy. I would definitely use this hotel again on any future theatre trips.

"Pleasantly surprised!"
susanhJ8280DS, 24 Octobre 2016

I recently stayed at the Palm Hotel on a mini break with my partner. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The room was adequate and warm. We ate in the restaurant which was good value for money and tasty food and all the staff were very polite and helpful. The purpose of our stay was to do some sight seeing in the centre of London which was easily achieved through a short bus ride to Golders Green and then the tube. Car parking was not a problem and we were allowed to leave our car at the hotel for all of our visit. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you to all the staff.

"A clean, updated, generic Best Western"
SWEsteban, 23 Octobre 2016

The Palm Best Western is a clean and nicely, if spartan, updated hotel that does serve its purpose. The rooms are clean, the furniture for now relatively new, the towels are large and thick, the breakfast is nice, the staff very friendly and helpful.....to sum up, a nice place to spend a few nights . Now for the minus: It is quite a long way from Golders Green station, it is right on the Hendon Way HIGHWAY, and you need transport to go anywhere. Because of the distance from the tube, and the ever present need to get buses I am not sure if I would stay again. Perhaps they need to run a courtesy bus to the staion, that would really help!!

"Nice but noisy road"
sunnyray_13, 23 Octobre 2016

Lovely place spoilt but noisy road. A1M was right by our window. It was like having a racing track in our hotel room. I had to sleep with headphones on. Has a free gym and WiFi. Spotless and modern. There is also a fridge. Had issues with remote not working. Bed a little small for two. Stayed in 009.

"Good hotel but needs some work"
Reino_Pulkki, 18 Octobre 2016

The breakfast was generally very good, but on some days the staff seemed overwhelmed and the food plates were empty. However, staff showed up pretty quickly and things got rolling. The breakfast food was fine when things worked and the evening restaurant was ok, except when on one day we showed up at 6:05 pm (opening at 6:00 pm) and were turned back because the staff were still eating. This is not acceptable and my spouse refused to eat in the restaurant after that.

"Family celebration in the capital!"
186408John, 18 Octobre 2016

We visited The Plam Best Western for a family celebration. The welcome at reception was lovely and our check in was informative and friendly. We had 2 nice rooms on the second floor. They were very clean and modern with all you could expect from a reasonably priced hotel. There is a nice bar area. The staff even opened the bar late on our return from an engagement celebration. I would recommend this hotel as a base for a short stay in London!

"Easy access to work site "
Ben C, 18 Octobre 2016

The hotel is ok , parking is a nightmare , first come first served but you get blocked in and have to wait for people to move in the morning , not good if you need to be somewhere by a specific time Also the hotel to boiling hot , air con in room is noisy, so didn't use it Breakfast was good, staff helpfully and friendly

"Disappointing"
Carmen C, 13 Octobre 2016

I stayed there 3 nights and I had to change the room 3 times. In the first room, the shower didn't work. The light stopped working twice. And last night there was an annoying noise and it wasn't solved. I told them I wanted views to the road and none of them were there.

"Great quality. Great staff."
Lesleyanne J, 13 Octobre 2016

This hotel is great, the staff were really helpful when we requested another room. On our first night we had a decent sized three bed room (double and single) and a lovely bathroom, although the water ran a little slowly. The double bed was two singles together and single duvets overlapping which was a bit awkward, we felt really far apart from each other. Our only complaint was the noise from above as our room was below a corridor so on the second night we were moved to the second floor which had a proper double bed and a shower room which was just perfect. Nice and quiet. Very easy to get to from the motorway.

"Weekend Break"
Paul V, 12 Octobre 2016

This was our second visit to the Palm Hotel. The room was clean and well prepared, only fault, could have supplied biscuits along with the tea/coffee making facilities. Especially as hotel is rated 4*. The real let down was the restaurant. First night we had to wait well over half an hour for our order, staff said that there was a function in another function room, so surely more staff should have been at hand. Breakfast was total chaos, again too few staff for demand of hotel guests. Staff (4) were attempting to keep ahead of demand, clearing tables & resetting them. Keeping food on buffet available, as well as attempting keeping guests supplied with drinks and toast. This was a bit of a disappointment after our first visit.

"Weird"
Victoria B, 09 Octobre 2016

Despite some bad reviews, I booked because of the good price including breakfast, and I was hoping to be proved wrong. However, our one night stay was quite strange; luckily we have a sense of humour. We were directed to our room which was on the ground floor, down a corridor which had a funny odour. Our room was small but clean and comfortable. So far so good. When we arrived back from our evening out at about 11:30pm, there was a medical emergency in the room next door to ours (which obviously couldn't be helped) but meant that we were unable to access our room. The staff were helpful and allowed us access through a fire door at the opposite end of the corridor. On arrival back to the room, we went to bed and were aware of the noise of a generator/fan/boiler which we hadn't noticed earlier on. Luckily we were both really tired so went to sleep, but we both woke up in the night and the noise was still there. We both had a disturbed night's sleep. There was also an awful lot of noise made by other guests in the corridor which went on for most of the night. The following morning, I went to reception to ask for some more milk and teabags (which we had previously asked for the night before) and the receptionist looked unamused and told me I'd have to go into the restaurant myself to get them. Breakfast was okay, the staff were attentive; in one case, a member of staff was rather over-attentive as he asked me for my telephone number. Not something I was expecting when we were just trying to enjoy our breakfast. The noise was still going on in our room when we got back from breakfast and WS were happy to check out. We were asked how our stay was by the chap at reception, but when we provided our feedback we didn't get any more than a shrug of his shoulders. We probably wouldn't stay here again.

"Amazing staff, lovely room"
Lttle_Gem, 08 Octobre 2016

The room was as expected for a London 'budget' hotel. The rooms were very clean, airy with the ability to open the windows (always a bonus). We were able to control the temperature of the room. The bathroom although quite small, was immaculately clean and the showers were both well maintained. There was a bus stop more or less outside the door. The breakfast was lovely and we were waited on with exquisite service. I would definitely stay again.

"Very Poor Management"
Atackslot, 05 Octobre 2016

The staff have very little knowledge about running a hotel and even lie to your face. While staying here the parking is limited and while is was there I vacated a space and on my return it had reserved for guests on it. I tried to gain access and the staff then told me it was for the disabled? I said that I had been parked there previously but to no avail. I soon found out their scam as in the morning a member of staff parked there. Dishonesty is poor trait.

"Good service, clean rooms, friendly staff"
ricardoX7093TK, 02 Octobre 2016

We (Ricardo and Niels) had a great time at Best Western Palm Hotel. The hotel has an excellent service, clean rooms, friendly staff, free Wi-Fi and television. We went to SIGNAL London 2016 and it was easy to get on a bus to get there. We'd like to thank the girl at the desk for explaining how to travel in London. 2 nights in London was a little short but we'll come back.

"Wedding "
Dima N, 30 Septembre 2016

We had our wedding in the Hamsted suite. It was terrible nothing went according to Plan!! When we went to cut our wedding cake there wore no forks or a plate to feed each other. When it was time to cut the cake for our guests no one provided any spoons or tissues the staff wore all over the place.

"Lovely"
kj020880, 18 Septembre 2016

Hotel on arrival looked fine, staff were very welcoming and we was provided with our key cards. On entering room first impressions were great. Room was spacious and beautiful we were on the back so had no noise from traffic. Only problem we had was the shower and we couldn't get it to cool down but they sent someone up within 5 minutes and a solution was offered immediately. We decided to have our breakfast at the hotel and it was lovely too. So all in all a great stay and I struggled to see why there were bad reviews

"Lovely web site - Fawlty Towers in reality. "
Richard C, 17 Septembre 2016

We booked two rooms for a weekend stay. We had read earlier reviews and noted that there were a couple of 'noisy' rooms to be avoided. When we arrived there was only one person on reception, who started to check us in, but stopped at every moment to answer phones, leave the desk and run errands, and eventually get back to us. And you guessed it, we were allocated the noisy rooms, which with two adults and a 7yr old sharing the room was unacceptable. Why would a hotel plan to put their family rooms in the loudest part of the hotel above the noise of wedding parties etc. . Once we sorted that out we got our keys and my elder daughters twin room, 225 had a very bad odour which was very unpleasant. We decided to have a drink at the bar ( around 3 pm) before we set off for our evening out. Again only one person was serving, and it took forever After we returned from our night out, the bar was much busier due to a wedding. Which I have no objections to. Except it was still the same single employee, with a very long queue throughout the bar. The next morning what looked like a lovely modern shower, failed dismally, even stopping flowing at all at one point. When I mentioned this to the check out they said they knew it was an issue and did I wish to re-shower in a downstairs room...? All in all, nice clean hotel, but with some rather quirky service, so would look for an alternative next time.

"I was left in anger and disbelief"
CBurke791, 15 Septembre 2016

Good rooms, Spacious bathroom, Staff seemed as if they didn't want to help Clean Shocking parking Far from the city centre Well I came to this hotel to stay for ONE night as I was going to the Impractical Jokers show at The Forum. In all honesty the hotel room was good with a comfortable bed, Sky TV and a roof window. However the halls are too narrow and made me feel pretty claustrophobic. Anyway, the parking is absolutely shocking it was packed inside the car park and I parked on the street during the day but once I got back from the show there was no street spaces available. I parked by the front of the hotel and when I came out in the morning I found someone had hit my car and drove away without leaving a note - however because I care a lot about my car I parked dead in front of the CCTV camera because this has happened to me before. Also just to note a bike was parked with its wheel touching my rims which I was fuming about. I alerted the staff in the reception who said hey would check the CCTV to find out who hit the car. They never got back to me so I called them and they lied to me saying they couldn't see any car - the CCTV camera was dead next to my car and directed in an angle which could see anybody coming or going past my car. I feel as if the hotel staff knew it was a loyal customer and decided to not tell me so it wouldn't upset them. Ended up costing me a lot of money and I was very distressed with the whole ordeal. This may be seen as an unfair rating but based on my experience this is what I believe it deserves.

"Nice hotel, a bit far out from London centre."
Christina J, 14 Septembre 2016

Hotel clean. Rooms well equipped for what we needed. Shower room clean. Downside - had asked for a double room actually it was twin beds pushed together, which wouldn't have been too bad if the bedding was a double, but we had single bottom sheets and two single duvets. Hence laying in the centre of the bed was impossible!!

"Avoid"
Lozza2310, 13 Septembre 2016

Considering our rooms were booked nearly 12 months in advance, our friends room had bn given to another party. We had come down for a concert at Wembley n really didn't have time to be messed about. Staff very complacent about this, nor in any particular hurry to sort. A free drink was offered for us in the bar this is poor compensation for such poor service. Room finally sorted. Water pressure in shower, very poor and we were told that's because everyone is showering at the same time, really!!!! Breakfast a shambles, had to constantly ask for service. Was served hot bread for toast n had to wait so long for sauces, replacement buffet items was a real joke!! Staffing numbers wasn't the problem at breakfast, there were plenty of staff. But what is apparent at this hotel is lack of clear management guidance and poor staff training

"excellent stay"
stewartm44, 13 Septembre 2016

stayed here when we came to London to see Billy Joel, the hotel added to our fantastic weekend the hotel was very clean the breakfast was good in the morning our room was very nice and the bar was ok maybe a bit slow

"Disappointing"
Kerry M, 12 Septembre 2016

My husband and I stayed at the hotel at the weekend when attending a concert at Wembley Stadium. This was to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary and reviews for the hotel were positive. We were told that the car park was first come, first served but on arrival, the parking situation was shocking. We were allowed to check in a little earlier as our room was ready and the room seemed adequate until we opened the curtains to find our view was of the air conditioning units. We decided to order some room service before we left for the concert. The menu clearly stated that the service was available between 12 noon and 9.30pm. After 3 attempts we made an order that didn't turn up and we were then told by reception that we could only order food from the 24 hour menu as there was a function on for 140 guests! We ordered again, they got that wrong and were given the same answer again when they brought up 2 plates of food that we hadn't ordered. The next morning, the shower also did not work properly. Breakfast was included but nothing spectacular. The only positive is that the hotel is in a good location for access into London with a regular bus service nearby to access the tube.

"Best it was not "
elizabeth w, 11 Septembre 2016

I have stayed in many of the best western hotels over time but this one led a lot to be desired initially a very helpful gentleman helped with my case ++ room was fine but road is busy and noisy if you want fresh air not air con . I know the usual routine etc but for breakfast 2 young people just hung around no explanation just asked for room number I had to ask for coffee and toast and preference of eggs veg option they didn't ask and incidentally what benefits do you get as a gold member clearly none !!!!!

"Don't stay in room 147"
LesleyW75, 06 Septembre 2016

Stayed here for 1 night for a function. Lovely welcome and were put in new part of hotel. The room was perfectly adequately fitted. Shower had rain head and hose, but the hose holder was broken. The mirror in bathroom had only 1/3 of lights working. Talking about lights, the light in the room is very poor, so not great if have to put makeup on. Towels large and fluffy, and water pressure great. Beds large and comfy, but you won't get any sleep. There is an extractor duct outside the window and operated when the kitchen was in operation. Also, there is a door to the corridor outside the room and the closer is extremely poor. This resulted in the door forcefully banging all night when other residents used it. After a poor night sleep, breakfast was very acceptable, they even had a waffle maker. Check out was also efficient and friendly. I did report the door closer and the duct, but check before you unpack.

"Acceptable. Just"
martinsdinner, 05 Septembre 2016

We were staying at the hotel for a family function being held within the hotel that night. On arrival the reception staff were very efficient and helpful. Our room, which was on the first floor with no lift/elevator access as it was in the new part, was large enough with good aircon and plenty of storage space for a night or even a week. The shower/toilet was an acceptable size but there was a bit of a smell which may have been the drains? Didn't notice it later so it may have been taken care off, or it may just of went away? Would point out that outside our room (146) window were vents and ducting etc possibly for the aircon, and made a bit of a noise as whatever they were used for kept kicking in at random times during the night. The hotel itself, had nothing to do with the function being held in one of their function rooms, but the space was absolutely more than acceptable. Breakfast was what you would expect with various hot and cold foods, cereals & juices. Checking out was simple and the reception staff organised taxis for us with no issue and we were charged what I though was a more than agreeable £16:00 for our journey to Kings Cross station. The hotel is relatively close to Cricklewood train station, Brent Cross shopping centre and a trip away to Camden and ideal for functions. They also have up to date keep fit facilities for those of you not staying there to enjoy yourselves! One point - very limited parking facilities.

"Decent enough hotel, shame about the parking"
Derek C, 28 Août 2016

The hotel itself was furnished to a high level, for me it felt a little deceptive with the size of the building. The service was pleasant and the location was ideal to catch most routes (I caught the train). The hotel itself was fine, I even liked the toiletries! The downside with this hotel was the parking, as I was under the impression that there was parking at the hotel however this wasn't clearly signed and most of the time I had to search for a street parking spot. When I found out where the parking was, there were only 10 spaces of which all used.

"Room Tip"
fareham100, 26 Août 2016

Lovely hotel, lovely staff. There was a wedding/party on so a bit noisy one eve however apart from that very good. The view from our room was of the air conditioning units on the outside of the building so not the best.

"London accessability"
Brian R, 25 Août 2016

Good location on bus routes for central London.bus to Marble Arch stops 2 minutes walk from hotel. Well fitted and comfortable rooms Excellent breakfast Very obliging staff in all areas Car park very useful if you are lucky enough to find a space

"Very very friendly. Extremley helpful."
Julie M, 24 Août 2016

So nice. Staff excellent. Very clean. Would visit again. The bar staff in evening are lovely. Nothing is too much trouble. Reception brilliant. Tube shut on one of the days we were there. They informed us , which bus to get, and what time. Couldn't be more helpful.

"Great Budget Hotel"
249annaleew, 22 Août 2016

My family of 3 stayed for 3 nights the staff were lovely the breakfast was amazing and the rooms were just as the pictures look like on the website. We booked through a comparison / booking website and were told we had only booked a double a room when there was three of us staying 2 x adult and 1 x child and there would be a charge to upgrade to a family room. The staff were very nice and explained the comparison / booking website had been misleading customers and expecting the hotel to do a free upgrade. So what out when you book and don't make my mistake I thought if you booked for 3 you would get 3 beds. The hotel is a 20 minute walk to the northern line and we could get the west end and the South bank in 10 to 15 mins. I would recommend the hotel and family trip to London

"Loved it"
stereoequipment, 22 Août 2016

I stayed here for two nights with my husband when we were attending an event at Wembley. The hotel was in a very good location, not far from the Golders Green underground and also close to a bus stop. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and let us go up to our room earlier because it was ready, I thought this was nice of them. The room was very modern, I really liked the bathroom it was beautiful. The beds were very comfortable and the room had plenty of space. The price was pretty reasonable also. I would definitely recommend this place to others and I would return here.

"Helpful friendly hotel"
witsend18, 16 Août 2016

Arrived late evening and the place was buzzing with a wedding reception Staff helpful sorted us a room away from the noise They even found a charging lead for our phone which we had forgotten Breakfast busy but attentive and polite staff dealt with all the people in quick manner

"Great hotel "
Amelia M, 14 Août 2016

Stayed here for 1 night last September as I had to stop over from a visit from the roundhouse. Hotel was quite a while from the roundhouse which I never took into account (my own fault) anyway the hotel was really nicely decorated on the inside and the rooms where quite big, beds comfy and very clean. Even though it is on a road there was no noise which is good. This hotel is very good for the money you pay. Would visit again.

"Excellent"
thefahertyfamily, 14 Août 2016

Just back from 3 nights at the Best Western Palm Hotel. The room, the food and the staff all deserve full marks. We do not have anything negative to say. We had breakfast each morning, and enjoyed it. Thank you to the receptionist who helped us out on Saturday morning with our boarding passes.

"Good location and really friendly staff"
nikhil122, 14 Août 2016

Its a really nice hotel, our room was clean and quite. The second best thing about the place is parking, we left our car in the parking and took the bus to oxford street, really convinient and handy location if your are driving.

"Fabulous Place Great Staff"
Paulyb1391, 10 Août 2016

On arrival was met with a smile & greeting in lovely surroundings. The room was lovely, & had all we needed with coffee & tea facilities,a modern bathroom & really comfy bed. Even though the room was facing the main road there was no disturbance whatsoever & the maids were in every day. The restaurant had a lovely set up & the staff were friendly & helpful & the 3 course Dinner we had was outstanding with a lovely choice on the menu & breakfast too had a nice variety. Also available was a spacious bar area with pleasant atmosphere . Again I cant speak highly enough of this hotel & of the lovely friendly & helpful staff on duty. I would recommend the Palm to anybody wishing to have a comfortable enjoyable stay un London, & I look forward to booking here again soon !!! Thank you for looking after us !!! Paul & Tania Baston

"Weekend stay fabulous!"
Afzal5, 07 Août 2016

I stayed here with my two daughters for the weekend as we had a football match to go to at Wembley. We stayed in a triple room it was spacious & clean, there was a fridge, kettle & hairdryer. All complimentary toiletries in the bathroom which was also cleaned every day & bedding, towels changed too. The staff were very welcoming, polite & always happy to help. There was a car park to the front & rear where we parked free of charge. There's also free wifi in the hotel though it was rather slow speeds. We ate once in the hotel restaurant & it was ok, much cheaper to eat out. But overall we really enjoyed our stay & would most definitely stay here again. Thank you BW Palm hotel for a wonderful stay for me & my family.

"renovated hotel easy transport into london"
Melzie6, 07 Août 2016

Stayed March 2016 in a twin room. evidence of recent renovation made the room comfortable. Modern amenities, fridge in the room. Well heated. Bus stop out the front that will take you into Marble Arch (going past major shopping centres and Lords Cricket Ground). Train station at Golders Green - great to get to Camden Lock. A nice place to stay if you don't want to stay in the city.

"Decent and comfortable "
barumlad, 05 Août 2016

Good hotel. Good size Clean rooms we stayed in a triple room with comfortable beds. Breakfast was good. Sky tv included. Staff friendly and helpfull. Would stay again. Unlike some reviews we had no traffic noise. Car parking is limited. Bus service very near and tube 20 min walk.

"Hugely disappointing, noisy, weak showers and rude staff"
Tom m, 04 Août 2016

Parking here is diabolical. Staff are unfriendly. We got brought wrong drinks to our room with not so much as an apology and staff knocking on our door 3 or 4 times to make things worse. The receptionist was aggressive and rude about the whole thing. The bar is very very very slow and over priced. The corridors are dangerous with dark areas and steps just outside doors which are easy to fall down. The showers are terrible with no power. Beds are very saggy. The noise from the A406 is aweful. Shame because we stay in the area a lot on business and the hotel has been okayish in the past but things have really gone bad here. Stay away!!!

"Very noisy"
dazzaandbev, 01 Août 2016

Stayed here 30/07/16 to 01/08/16 room 009 at front of hotel very noisy due to busy main road .room was fine bed OK and staff very pleasant .meals expensive and limited choice .will stay here again but will need room at back

"Hen do"
Melanie D, 01 Août 2016

Overall pleasant experience our first room smelt badly of drainage the staff working were very accommodating and promptly changed our room to a much better smelling room. Sky box in room decent size shower and clean room. Overall good experience

"Not a pleasant experience"
denisea383, 31 Juillet 2016

Room was like an oven when we opened the door , very small room, booked a twin they were pushed together as no room for a space between , ordered room service, processed ham on stale bread , i didnt eat them, breakfast wasnt enjoyable, sent away from restaurant as no tables, when we were asked to go back there was no table ! so put us at a dirty table , which i had to asked to be cleaned as there was jam covering half of it , there was an atmosphere, a couple of the young girls snapped at each other and one of them pulled her face behind a customers back, they didnt have a smile between them, had to ask where things were, no tea, coffee, milk, cheese it felt like you were putting them out by asking for something i asked for white toast got brown and it was just toasted on one side, in the evening the bar was unattended and i waited several minutes to pay £5 for a bottle of coke !!! i had to have the right money as the til wasnt in , when i told the receptionist about the issues , they offered a discount on my next stay, i declined as i would not return there , he said they were trying really hard in the restaurant because of what had happened the week before , i dont know what that was but if that was them trying god knows how bad it was before , the hotel is situated on a very busy 6 lane road and when we finally managed to get to sleep on the very thin mattresses we were woken often by traffic, fortunately we were only there for 2 nights .

"over night for a gig"
Jackie B, 27 Juillet 2016

we travel to London about once a year for one thing or another. we enjoy staying on the outskirts on the city and using the tube. all part of the big adventure. we found palm hotel due to finances (our usual stay was far to expensive) but we will be using it again. First the parking is a first come first serve. The reception staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. The room comfortable and clean and more than enough for our one night stay. Its a pleasant good 15 min walk to the tube and bus station but there are regular buses to said station from just round the corner. The bar in the hotel was still open after midnight on a Sunday which was a nice surprise . we have said we would use it again

"Decent hotel in a handy location"
RobC67, 25 Juillet 2016

Stayed here with my son for three days whilst exploring London in July. Good sized room and decent breakfast. A bit of a walk to the nearest tube station but buses stop right outside the hotel. Recommended.

"Comfortable stay with easy access into London"
Tony C, 18 Juillet 2016

We were very disappointed on arrival that the room we were offered was not of the standard I expected following communication with the hotel prior to arrival. Have to add that the head of housekeeping handled the issue professionally and efficiently and found an alternative room. We were warned that this would be above the function room and a birthday party was on and would be loud until midnight. We accepted this and were very happy with the large airy room, comfortable sofa and sky TV. The housekeeping team came in every day and the cleanliness was of a very good standard. We were there for seven days and ate evening meals in the restaurant twice. The set menu is adequate though slightly high priced to what I would normally expect to pay - but it is London so not surprised. Breakfast has an excellent selection of food but the disorganised service leaves a lot to be desired. It is not for the lack of trying by the young staff, it is just poor management organisation. If they asked what drinks you wanted as you were shown to your table there would be no need to chase staff around the room trying to get your order in. If you want fried, boiled or poached eggs you have to ask the waiting on staff - easier said then done sometimes!! The hotel is on a busy arterial road into London though we were roomed in the back so no noise issue - don't know how it would affect those roomed at the front. Excellent bus service within 400 yards of the hotel into and out of Central London with easy links to several tube stations. Would I stay again - yes. Was it good value - yes.

"Great weekend away"
0lesleyf, 16 Juillet 2016

Good hotel. Excellent service. Food also very reasonable. Especially the evening set menu. Only fault was at breakfast on Sunday. Due to having a full sitting for breakfast we unfortunately didn't get a hot drink despite asking. But not a problem as tea/ coffee facilities in our room

"Good location and easy to get to"
Andy G, 14 Juillet 2016

We stayed in June for a concert at Wembley Stadium. We needed to get a bus (outside) and a couple of stops on the tube to get to Wembley. We arrived at the hotel at midday and were able to park our car within. Staff also allowed us to book in early. The room was clean and tidy with Sky TV. Shower and bathroom facilities nice. Unfortunately the hotel was quite noisy and personally I found the bed uncomfortable (too soft). On the Sunday we found it quite stressful in and around the breakfast / reception area. There was no pressure in the showers affecting the whole hotel and people were complaining. In the dining area they seemed understaffed. We had to ask twice for coffee and the food was not replenished quickly enough. People were complaining, we decided to eat and check out fairly quickly. All in all good value and good location, could be better though.

"Thank you to staff of this hotel"
Mariam H, 14 Juillet 2016

Me and my sister stayed in this hotel in the end of June for a one week and we both loved this quite and welcome hotel room service and breakfast was nice. Staff of this hotel is very helpful with smiley faces. The nearest bass stop is in 2 min. walk from hotel and its take you in the center of London in 20 min or 5 min in the nearest tube station. Only one complain was shower on the morning doesn't have enough pleasure.(We had room on the second floor. Maybe it was the reason ),but if we come back to visit London ill choose this hotel again

"Wembley Stadium stay"
Dee T, 09 Juillet 2016

Stayed here for Beyonce at Wembley. Great location as just off the M1 and had lots of parking available. Really close to Wembley and very convenient. Great value at only £75 for a triple room (we did book well in advance)!!!! Staff on reception were okay. Didnt really pay much attention, chatting amongst themselves. Room itself wasvery nice. Very spacious and clean. Only issue we had was that there was hardly any water in the morning, the pressure was so low we couldnt shower. On check out, the reception did apologise.

"nice place"
James W, 09 Juillet 2016

during our entire stay we were treated with great respect and smiles and happiness. Sadly, it seems that hotels in the uk do not provide washcloths, so bring your own. their were no restaurants very close and the bus and train station were a mile away. you had to purchase a pass to use the bus or train, cash not accepted.

"Clean rooms, friendly staff"
I6302ZBmariap, 06 Juillet 2016

When we arrived at the hotel the staff were very friendly and eager to help. After a complimentary upgrade, the rooms were modern, clean and spacious. Just make certain that you get to breakfast early

"Okay"
Flosstopher, 04 Juillet 2016

The hotel was okay. Breakfast was £12.50 per person per night which we thought was rather steep! We weren't offered tea or coffee but we assume that we are a young couple so it was assumed that we wouldn't drink it. The room that it is in is also rather strange as there are no windows The mattresses weren't overly comfy, there was a smell of sewage in the loo's and we lost our cold water one morning. That being said, the water problem was fixed very quickly once reported. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. We'll probably head to a different hotel next time we're in London as the transport links aren't fantastic. If you don't want to have a long walk, Cricklewood station is about a 15 minute walk away for the Thameslink service. Golders Green is around a 2 mile walk!

"Great staff"
shelly67birmingham, 03 Juillet 2016

Our overall impression of the hotel was ok. Upon arrival we could find nowhere to park because the very small car park was full. Luckily for us the very kind receptionist said she was leaving soon and we could have her space. After a long and tiring trip into London (tube is about a 15-20 mins walk but is all up hill so be warned) we arrived back to our room at midnight. There was a wedding going on and we thought the noise would keep us awake. That turned out to be the least of our worries. We were kept awake for around 3 hours by the very inconsiderate guests either side of us. The noise was unbearable. Even after the night staff had had a word. The beds were also uncomfortable. The mattresses were old and instead of replacing them the hotel had put toppers on. The following morning we complained to the desk staff when we checked out. Our complaint was dealt with exceptionally well and the receptionist was very understanding and we were surprised when she gave us a full refund. But unfortunately despite this we will not be returning.

"Concert stay"
Lwatts21, 03 Juillet 2016

The hotel it's self is clean tidy up to date. But we had a few issues. The biggset one was once we battled though the traffic there wasn't any parking. Too few spaces for the hotel and no parking in the road. After squeezing into half a space which was a real worry , we went to our room. I booked a triple room as we were taking our daughter to Wembley for a concert for her 21st birthday. I was really disappointed to find she didn't have a bed as I expected but a sofa bed. This thing took a lot of room up we had to clamber over it to open and shut curtains. Could get to dressing table easily and almost impossible to make a cup of tea in the morning . She didn't have any towels left for her or a cup. Although we did call reception and they did sort that straight away which was good. When we were trying to go to sleep there was lot of noise some sort of machine?. Sounded like it was above our room. Early in the morning there was a lot of noise too. Loud music people stomping about. Then to top it off someone knocking on our door very early, once we came to they had dissapered. So clean tidy but rest of the experience let's this place down. One last thing the hotel recommend a taxi firm they were brilliant taking us to Wembley , but the completely messed up on the way home. We waited over 2 hours for a taxi everytime we phoned they said they were on their way. Made it a truly stressful experience, when it was ment to be one of celebration. I know it's not hotels fault about taxi , but I felt comfortable taking their advice and ended up very upset .

"Clean & Quiet!"
Alex O, 03 Juillet 2016

Stayed here for the commute to the Beyonce gig at Wembley. Very impressed by the overall presentation of the hotel! Excellent bar and gym services. Although the actual trip to Wembley was a lot longer than thought. If your going to use this for Wembley definitely order a taxi from reception and organise a pick up for return. Should cost £15-£25 depending on traffic. Nice Hotel!!

"Great for Wembley"
Stephanie511, 02 Juillet 2016

Great hotel, well located on the bus route into town. Staff excellent and fab breakfast. Nice sized rooms, but bed rather lumpy. Bar stays open late. Taxi to Wembley £15, taxi from Golders Green station £6. Secure car park.

"Two night stay"
sueskyblue, 01 Juillet 2016

I chose this hotel as it looked handy to get to Wembley for Coldplay. Unfortunately, the transport links aren't great and it's a trek to the tube. Ended up taking the bus and taxis most of the time. Jade on reception was very helpful and organised our taxis to and from Wembley. First night's sleep was not great, very dark and dismal room and everything seemed to be on a slope - including beds! We asked to change rooms for the second night, and that was much better - brighter, lighter and nicer! The only problem that night was that there had been a wedding on and the bar/restaurant decided that 1.30am was a good time to start filling the bottle bank outside our room with all the empties........the noise was horrendous for about half an hour. Good atmosphere in the bar in the evening with a mix of people who had all been to the Coldplay concert, and also a bit of football banter as it was the day of England v Wales! Good value hotel, but be aware of the transport situation.

"Concert stay"
Charley J, 27 Juin 2016

Stayed here for a concert with my boyfriend on the weekend. The hotel is set in a good location with just a short taxi ride to Wembley. We stayed for 2 nights and used the tube to get into London on the Saturday. The hotel room itself was good and clean. However the bathroom had a really unpleasant smell - it smelt of sewers and drains. We had to keep the bathroom door shut at all times and avoided the bathroom as much as we could. It made me feel ill just using the loo and brushing my teeth. For this reason, I would not return to the hotel again.

"Overnight great stay"
cary8, 21 Juin 2016

We had a room at the back and it was superb. Quiet, clean, like new, ironing board & iron, safe, flatscreen tv & sky, tea & coffee, huge bed, settee, lovely shower room and that's just the room. Breakfast really good and the staff very helpful. Big bonus for us was being able to park so we could get tube into London. Definitely will be staying regularly now !

"One night stay"
Gill511, 20 Juin 2016

We stayed in this hotel in Golders Green to go to Wembley for a concert. Price wasn't too bad for London and included breakfast. Having read reviews previously I contacted hotel and requested a room at the back, so pleased as front road is extremely noisy( room 232 at back ) Can't fault the room we were given. Lovely bathroom although water wasnt too hot the morning after. All the rest was the usual, tea coffee Iron and board, hairdryer. Breakfast next morning was nice, although I found it odd that a new tray of scrambled egg was brought out of which I had some, and it was only warm, everything else fine. Choice of pastries, cheeses. Cereal and fruits. I think they should add little bread rolls to the menu, as it seems the toaster is always busy and no other breads on offer. We walked to hotel from Golders Green tube, in hindsight we should have got a bus. However there is a bus stop 2 mins from hotel, take the 113 to Finchley Rd and jump on tube to Wembley so no hassle and would stay here again if I get to Wembley again. There are complimentary leaflets etc at reception to tell you how to get to different tourist places which is helpful, they could actually add the way to Wembley on that information. Staff are helpful which is a bonus.

"Nice "
mummydevvo, 20 Juin 2016

Stayed here for 1 night before going to the tennis. Staff were super helpful. Limited parking outside the front of the hotel which is first come first served but they have a cone to save the disabled space for me. This is very much appreciated when you can't walk and I always panic before I get there about parking. Check in was smooth and the staff were very friendly. The hotel itself is very nice inside and modern. There's a lift to the upper floors. Our room was on the top floor and was an executive room. It was very clean and the furnishings and carpet appeared very clean too. There was a big tv on the wall and a kettle with tea and coffee facilities. They were ringtons teabags and coffee too! Best tea ever I've had this brand since I was a kid. There were crisp white bathrobes and slippers in the wardrobe which was nice. The shower was a nice big corner one with a big shower head and lots of hot water. Would have been extremely happy with the room except the bed and pillows let it down big time. The reason you book a hotel is to get a good nights sleep so to neglect the very thing that a hotel is there for isn't great. The bed was only a double not kingsize which isn't that bad but it was rock hard and the pillows were rock hard and lumpy. The worst nights sleep I've had in a hotel ever. I have pins in my neck so bad pillows don't help the next day either. Breakfast was nice there was cooked or continental and pastries. I always check the crockery and cutlery are clean and they were so very impressed. There was only 5 tables eating when we were there and a waitress paced up and down the whole time which made you feel a bit awkward but was ok when more people came to eat. Overall it's a lovely hotel with fantastic staff but I couldn't stay again until the beds and pillows are changed. Even a mattress topper would be better than nothing but new pillows definitely sorry. The staff obviously work really hard to make this hotel nice for their customers.

"weekend for 2"
Q8748CMdenisek, 20 Juin 2016

A good hotel with excellent staff although room 11 was very narrow and the sky box was situated to obscure walking past the end of the twin beds to the sitting area. Only for the nimble! The price was rather high for such a small narrow room. We stayed 2 years ago on the 2nd floor and that room was larger and better proportioned.

"Nice hotel"
Nicole S, 20 Juin 2016

Great hotel, £15 taxi journey to Wembley stadium, plenty of parking, pleasant and friendly staff. I had read reviews about problems with noise and parking but didn't encounter any of these. Plenty of food choices for breakfast.

"Coldplay concert break"
Chris B, 19 Juin 2016

Lovely hotel, polite and helpful staff. Stayed here to go to Coldplay concert at wembley which was not too far away by public transport or taxi. Room was clean and well equipped, we requested a room at the back of the hotel as seen other peoples reviews and struggle to sleep if its noisy, no issues with the noise but for me the bed was very uncomfortable and I could feel springs in my back all night. Breakfast was good, plenty of choice. I would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel to my friends and family.

"Wembley stopover"
Graham L, 18 Juin 2016

Very plesent stay Breakfast was great Night manager was under prepared for the rush after the Coldplay concert!!! Parking onsite was a blessing. Staff were really friendly and very helpful The gym downstairs looked pretty good too We have booked to go back in September as we are going to another concert st Wembley stadium.

"Awesome "
Mykaila S, 17 Juin 2016

Planned a trip with my friend and found this hotel through expedia. Upon arrival I was expressed with how the lobby looked, appealing and clean. We were greeted by a man named Paul who spoke a bit too quiet but he was extremely nice. When we got to our room we noticed that the air consisting and the tv were not working so when we went downstairs to tell them about it, Paul came back to the room to see if we could fix it. In the end there was something wrong with the air so we kindly moved us over to a new room that had no issues at all. It was quiet as well as we were off the highway. Getting to central London was super easy with the bus stop being a 2 minute walk away (113 to marble arch). My only concern was that the mattresses seemed to be worn out as you could feel the springs as you laid down. Would make sure to stay again if I were to return to London!

"Perfect hotel"
ilknur d, 17 Juin 2016

This is the best hotel l ever stayed in london. Staff was helpfull, breakfast was so good.room was big and clean especially bathroom was wonderful. We really felt so special. The only my comment is that the hotel far from city center but there are busses close to it.

"Would be excellent apart form the noise"
Sheilz W, 16 Juin 2016

This hotel was very reasonable, we paid approx £130 for a room with breakfast for 2 of us. The hotel is easy to drive to, not far off the M1. There is free parking. I was a little worried because we weren't going to be in Central London but it was easy to get into the City, on a short bus ride ( bus stop approx 2 mins walk away) to Finchley Rd, then you can get the Jubilee Line straight into London, just a few stops away. The bedroom was clean and very well equipped, only let down were very minor things like no plug near the mirror, making hair drying tricky and too dark in the wardrobe to read instructions for the safe. There was ample toiletries with further items available on request and ample tea and coffee. The bed was comfy but we were on the front of the hotel so it was very noisy with traffic all through he night The breakfast was good, scrambled egg, bacon, sausage etc plus fruit, pastries, cheese, meats, cereals etc Staff were excellent, particularly reception who went out of their way to offer advice on transport, attractions etc. There is a bar, offering quite reasonably priced food and drink. Would definitely recommend just ask for a room at the back of the hotel it may be quieter away from the main road.

"Great for Wembley "
GreatDaines, 16 Juin 2016

I am amazed by this place and highly recommend it. I found it on booking.com at a good night rate of £60 for a double. We went to a Coldplay concert in mid June. The hotel was very easy to get to from the north circular, there is good parking at the front too. The reception is very smart and staff very friendly and helpful. The rooms are decorated to a five star standard, very very impressive for the price and location!! Did not eat there but would of. Just get an uber taxi to Wembley it is around £13 and takes 15-30 mins depending on time of day, so much easier than walking to a bus then tube then back again. Ideal

"Very enjoyable"
georgerL7394TF, 14 Juin 2016

We had a very pleasant stay At this well run hotel, the location was good for easy access into central London with the 113 bus taking you directly into Oxford Street and Marble arch. The service was friendly and attentive and most helpful. Only slight downside was the small bathroom and shower area but this was only a minor issue.

"Noisy"
Marie W, 14 Juin 2016

We booked this hotel through Expedia for our trip to Wembley. We prepaid before arriving. We arrived at the hotel at 10pm. There was a very loud party in progress. We requested a quiet room when booking. Arrived to find we had been moved from a quiet top floor room to one right above the party. The room vibrated with the noise. We complained and were told they had no other rooms and we would have to wait until midnight until the party finished. We asked for a refund and were told that we couldn't have one and that the manager wouldn't be in for 3 days and it was up to him if we could have a refund. We decided to drive the 2 1/2 hours home rather than stay with the constant noise. Got a refund after a week of ringing both the hotel, head office and Expedia. Would never prepay with Expedia again as they use this as a way of getting rid of crap rooms. Very disappointing weekend.

"Best Western palm"
dominich58, 12 Juin 2016

Very happy could not have chosen better. Good value and comfortable. Used the bar menu for evening meal, a good variety on offer and also for breakfast. 12 pm check out also helped by not having to rush.?

"Boy-Oh-Boy they need to improve things!"
Paul D, 12 Juin 2016

Staff here are friendly enough, yet the processes of the hotel are weak and will cause things to go wrong, thereby having a negative impact on your stay. Parking is limited and on a first-come basis. After check-in, I agreed to a £50 pre-authorisation for any extras. At our first visit to the bar, I couldn't charge any of the drinks because the facility wasn't correctly set-up. So, we wasted time getting things sorted. On the morning of Day 2, a Sunday, we couldn't flush the loo property or take a shower as the water pressure was non-existent - probably because so many other guests were using the system. This is unacceptable for any 'prime' location these days, particularly under the Best Western hotels banner. At Sunday breakfast, the staff are so busy clearing tables that they didn't have time to ask us whether we'd like tea or coffee - so we ended up with nothing. Our mattress in room 223 had clearly seen better days and was very noisy whenever either of us moved. At check-out, whilst (as a regular Best Western guest) I raised my concerns, there was a weak apology and no offer of compensation or discount. Remember - we've still not had a shower! So, all in all, I'd suggest you find somewhere else to stay. There's enough choice in the area to make a better decision. Chronicle 1.

"Nice hotel but awful service and parking"
mbanks123, 11 Juin 2016

We travelled from Manchester to stay in this hotel on a busy weekend. The main reason we chose it was the location, price and parking. Location is okay but there's not much in walking distance. The website states it is easy to get to Wembley stadium but that really isn't the case via the tube! Price was acceptable for us but only cos the weekend meant everywhere was extortionate. Parking however was rubbish. The car park was full and the hotel was full of signs saying its on a first come first serve basis. It DID NOT say this on the website no matter how much the receptionist tried to argue it did. Also all the parking outside costs now from 1-8pm with maximum stay of 3 hours. We arrived at 1 and had to go out until late that night leaving the car... The receptionists didn't really give us any options but to find our own local parking. Don't get me started on the service of the receptionists. The guy who was checking us in tried to charge us even though we had paid and then proceeded to take a lengthy call while checking us in to make a reservation for someone else. The hotel did however get a 3 star because it's a lovely hotel and where it is in respect of other areas is quite handy. Sort your receptionists attitude and your car park out and you'd probably have gotten 5*.

"One night stay"
paula C, 08 Juin 2016

Lovely hotel the male receptionist helped with our travel plans thank you Lovely midnight snack came in late hungry had a room service sandwich with no problem thank you Lovely breakfast Stayed one night with parking lovely clean room quiet but was a Tuesday night travelled to London to see Foreigner one bus ride and one tube ride brilliant

"A good hotel , very convenient but prepare for noise"
Clearfairywings, 07 Juin 2016

This hotel is well situated for London and has lots of secure free parking at the rear. It is very clean and our room was huge and very newly decorated. The major problem is the constant road noise from the main road outside. I know the hotel can't do anything about that but you should be aware if you are used to a quiet nights sleep. The staff were friendly and helpful and with a set of ear plugs we would stay again. We had a nice meal in the evening which was good but the breakfast however was awful. Undercooked sausages and cold congealed beans and egg! How I wish they would just cook food properly!! Sausages should not be pink on the inside!!!! Thank God for toast and marmalade!

"A very good Hotel"
Rabih H, 04 Juin 2016

The hotel is clean and they offer very good food. Staff are very warm, helpful and polite. Rooms are clean and spacious. The only downside is the location. on the motorway but away from Tube stations. nearest one needs 15 to 20 minutes walk. There are few bus stations as well (300 to 500 meters away) that take to central London.

"What we needed!"
Beki21, 02 Juin 2016

We arrived at the Best Western and the room was wonderful! The bed was huge! The room was a good size and the bathroom great, My only complaint is that we weren't told what time breakfast was on and what time we needed to be out of the room - therefore we missed breakfast!! Apart from that it was great. We went to the restaurant in the evening and were treated really well. The food was top notch! Would stay again!

"poor customer service"
Simone C, 31 Mai 2016

stayed at the hotel for a function. night before went to set up the room when this appalling man Paul decided to have a temper tantrum which was very unprofessional on his part as customers did not need to know about the lack of communication in the hotel he then was extremely rude to us imagine our dismay when he was at the desk the following day with a poor attitude only it seems to our guests and despite mediating a situation in which he fueled he continued to be quite vile in the way he spoke to us with threats to shut down the venue for no apparent reason. hotel room was clean and breakfast average tv in room didn't work but as we were only staying for one night it was ok the rest of the staff were lovely including Tushan but I'm afraid Paul spoilt what was supposed to be a lovely event and still waiting on ivona to contact me as a week later still pretty upset

"4 Night stay while in London"
DarleneD72, 29 Mai 2016

We booked this hotel, as we were not wanting to stay right in London. The front desk staff were wonderful and super friendly! The walk to the tube station at Golders Green is approximately 15 minutes. There is bus service on the main road, although we did not use it. Breakfast was not included, and we did not use the restaurant. We were lucky enough to get a parking spot at the hotel, as there are not many available spots on the nearby road. The hotel was clean and the beds were comfy. I would not hesitate to book this hotel again. We enjoyed our stay!

"best not at a weekend"
johnpmoss, 28 Mai 2016

We chose this because it claimed it had good access to central london and wembley . Our two destinations on our weekend break-21st and 22nd May.It was true to its word there were ample buses to both destinations from just a few minutes walk away.It was also very easy to find from the motorway , say ten minutes drive. Room was very comfortable , had the iron , tea and coffee facilities , large flatscreen tv, bed was comfortable all good. Breakfast was buffet style and was cooked little and often so if you followed a group you may have to wait a few minutes. You could also get toast , pastries , fruit , cereals.Evening meal was ok , choice was a little limited and a bit over cooked Staff were all very friendly and competent at the job . The only down side to this is as I said we stayed over a weekend and there were parties both nights till late .Music was loud and not very good either . It was a big downside . Would go back -just not at the weekend

"lovely hotel,"
broseh, 27 Mai 2016

great hotel if driving down to london, straight off motorway and easy access into london by bus or taxi. Staff friendly. would definitely stay again. good breakfast too. Great value for money. Free parking which is an added bonus for London stays.

"London hotel"
Pauline E, 26 Mai 2016

Great hotel. Bit hard to find from Golders Green tube station, about half an hours walk, probably best to get a taxi. When you get to hotel bus right outside into Oxford Street. When you come back to hotel from Central London get off bus at Cricklewood Lane and use bridge over road, much safer. Room excellent with sky. Breakfast excellent too. If you want to go back on tube when you finish your stay walk down Hendon Way and take first left. Buses from there go to Golders Green to link with tube. It really is excellent

"3 day trip"
Amber-lea F, 24 Mai 2016

We booked this hotel as it was at a great price close to family and in the general direction to get to the Warner Bros studio tour. Our room was lovely and the Bathroom was amazing with the rain shower head. And fresh towels are provided everyday. You can get an iron and board on request. As our Room was at the front of the hotel with windows open you can hear the busy road in front of the hotel but we had no need to open as air conditioning is available. Unfortunately our room was directly above reception and when resting on my pillow I could hear the music from down stairs which was slightly annoying. The staff where both polite and friendly and would definitely consider stay again if a room at the back of the hotel was available.

"Fantastic hotel"
Terry L, 21 Mai 2016

Had a great stay at this hotel recently. The staff were very helpful and lovely. The room was great, and so was the food. Unfortunately our stay was too short to make use of the gym, but there's always next time.

"good hotel, good location"
C8611WKpaulf, 19 Mai 2016

If you're diving to London this is an ideal hotel, its only 16 minutes walk to the tube and has free parking. The staff are friendly and very helpful, the rooms are good and clean with very comfortable beds

"Great place to crash when visiting the capital."
Jamie W, 18 Mai 2016

Booked this hotel for a 2 day break visiting London. The hotel is situated outside of London so had cheaper rates. We arrived in at Kings Cross stn and got the Nothern Line to Golders Green which was around 15-20 mins. From Golders Green it was around a 20 min walk to the hotel through a decent area. The hotel is situated right on a 6 lane carriageway! The staff was very friendly and welcoming, looking after our luggage because we arrived too early (check in 2pm) so we could go off and explore. The room was clean and tidy with a good comfy bed and clean bathroom. The shower was a walk in style and was very powerful & always warm. We requested a room at the back of the hotel as per other reviews which the staff were happy to accommodate, we heard very little noise even with the windows open. I can imagine rooms at the front of the hotel would be that but noisier due to the very busy road. The room has a wall mounted flat tv & sky with a good amount of channels. There is tea/coffee making facilities but with UHT milk! There is also a hair dryer and a free safe. We had a good nights sleep with no disturbance, however it was fairly warm, thankfully there is aircon in the rooms which helped. Good selection at breakfast which included pastries, cereals and cooked options. From the city we caught the No.13 bus which dropped us off at the other end of the busy road about a 8 min walk from the hotel. Overall very happy & would definitely stay again.

"Over night theatre stay"
louisefrancese, 15 Mai 2016

Welcoming staff, larger room triple room, comfortable bed, the best pillows I've sleep on! Delicious breakfast excellent value for money. A bit of a walk to tube station to get into London, great advice and direction from staff at hotel. Will defiantly stay here again when going to the theatre. Only down size three staying in room but only two cups and glasses, never enough milk. Step down to corridor as you open door is a hazard!

"STILL GOOD VALUE"
hollandNorthDevon, 13 Mai 2016

Even better value when you stay 3 nights free on Best Western Reward points. Good location, handy for buses and trains for central London. Free parking a Godsend in London. Comfortable clean rooms, decent breakfast (although some of the food should be warmer). Pleasant staff. Just overall good value.

"Good but noisy neighbourhood"
SalttoTaste, 13 Mai 2016

We booked this place just few hours before checking in. We wanted a good night sleep closer to Central London in a cheap accommodation. Nice cosy and comfy rooms with clean bathroom. Parking was free and secured which was a plus knowing how difficult it is to find a secured spot in London. Good for night sleep.Recommended!

"Noise!!!!"
youldy2015, 12 Mai 2016

Ok hotel. Standard sort of motel like place. Average rooms and food. Service st the bar was sometimes slow as staff tended to wander away. But on the third night a party was being held in the conferance room directly below us but it may as well have been in the room. I could expect it if I was in Ibiza but Golders Green! To say the staff were not bothered is an understatement. Ruined an otherwise enjoyable stay. Will never use this company again.

"Great little find"
Pauline66Kent, 12 Mai 2016

Firstly, I must say how very friendly and helpful the staff are at the hotel. Check-in was quick and easy. We had a room at the back and had no problems with noise from the road. The room was large, very clean and had a huge bed! The shower room was a bit small but functional. We had a meal in the restaurant, which was very nice and reasonable. Breakfast was lovely. Plenty of choice and very fresh. Big thank you to all the staff for being so friendly.

"A few niggles but absolutely fantastic staff"
Victoria P, 08 Mai 2016

Spent 2 nights here and would happily stay again. Parking no issue despite arriving after 6 on a Friday. Stayed 1st night in a family room in 1st floor at back of hotel so absolutely no street noise at all. Lovely room and facilities. 2nd night there was a function in the room directly below; music was so loud the floor was vibrating! Spoke to hotel staff and we were offered a room change to ground floor front of hotel...had a few concerns about road noise but unfounded. After cold water and duff batteries in remote thought the 2nd night would be spoiled but actually it was the bed that was the issue....with about 6 matress toppers it was far too soft but maybe that's personal choice. Breakfast great choice and quality.

"Another excellent stay."
Christopher N, 06 Mai 2016

Just arrived back from a two night stay, doing the normal touristy thing. This was our 4th stay here and will be definitely returning as this hotel offers fantastic value for money, for the London area.Clean rooms, lovely shower,a bar, free secure parking, efficient staff and a great all you can eat breakfast.Yes a little bit out of London but the 113 bus stops 100 metres down the road and terminates at Marble arch and takes about half an hour,it also passes past 4 underground stations along the way if you need to get somewhere faster. Ps two tips, email hotel and request aroom at the back of the hotel as there is a very busy road at the front, and also get a deal with free breakfast as this can be quite expensive to pay additionally.

"Great hotel"
Jenna A, 03 Mai 2016

The only thing that could be improved is the hallways could be revamped but other than that I can not complain. Cannot comment on the noise as was at the back of the hotel and it was silent back there. But considering it is on a dual carriageway there is bound to be noise so if you want somewhere quiet then don't book the hotel and expect no noise. Had a wonderful stay at this hotel 1 week ago. I Had read the reviews before I went and I was thinking that the hotel was going to be awful. I can honestly say that the hotel was lovely. Arrived at 12pm plenty of parking and was able to check in and go to our room which was amazing after a 2-hour drive to the hotel, was not expecting this at all. There are a lot of reviews saying that it's in the middle of nowhere and the train station is a 20-minute walk. Although it's true about the train station there is a bus stop just outside the hotel and takes you directly to the train station all you need is google maps on your phone and you are set. Staff were very friendly and helpful and considering parking is free I was not complaining that the train station was so far away especially when the bus runs every 15 minutes. Breakfast was great plenty of choice and staff were always there to help and were always bringing out lots of food. Room very comfortable and bigger than expecting with a fridge in the room which was a bonus. Loved the shower as it was a rain shower and there were always clean towels both nights we stayed there. Could not fault this hotel as the price was amazing for the 2 nights we stayed and will definitely be staying here again.

"No room at the Inn"
happyanna, 02 Mai 2016

Just returned from what should have been three nights at the Palm Hotel.I was with 7 other ladies and we had booked 4 rooms a year ago but when we arrived was told there was no booking for the first night although it had been confirmed by telephone two weeks previously. We were moved to another hotel for the first night with a taxi laid on to take us there and bring us back the next morning. They also gave us breakfast for the three mornings as compensation. The following night we checked into the Palm Hotel. Was glad to finally have a room but when my friend and myself opened the door to our room we were met my a lady and her daughter who were well settled into the room. It tuned out the receptionist had given us the wrong number and coded the key with the wrong number. He was rather dismayed to find out we had opened the door to the incorrect room. Not sure why we would have knocked first! Finally got the correct room which was very large and lovely. I had been really pleased as it was not overlooking the main road but soon found out that being on the end of the building was by the side road which led onto the main road and the traffic could be heard all night. The breakfast was good especially as it was complimentary. It was such a shame the weekend got off to a bad start. Good be a really good hotel if they get their bookings sorted out.

"Good value, comfy room"
Alan M, 25 Avril 2016

Good size room with very nice on-suite, not sure about mini bar with nothing in it! Reception very helpful, Mixed bag in the restaurant first night half the menu not available. What we had was good. You need a car as nearest shop is a long walk, but at least had free parking. ar open 24 hours and not expensive, Would book again

"Lovely hotel. Great staff"
Sarahburr, 25 Avril 2016

Book this hotel very last minute. Didn't expect to much as was quite well priced for the location. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was lovely. Super clean. Great Breakfast selection and beautiful cooked. Bar staff very happy and cheerful. Plenty of Parking. We left the car and jumped on a bus right outside hotel. a bus ride and your at the centre of London would highly recommend and would use again.

"Great London base"
Alexandra S, 23 Avril 2016

Whenever I visit London I stay here. Lovely hotel, great rooms and free parking! You can drive to the hotel as it is located just outside the congestion charge zone. It's about a 15 min walk to Golders Green tube station and from there you're straight into central London! Even if you arrive before check in you can still park your car and head out on your way. Lovely staff.

"Great Hotel. "
Ben_S_Sydney, 20 Avril 2016

After being on a tour it was so good to get to this hotel and see the HUGE rooms. Very modern, awesome shower and good wi fi plus TV. Located about a 20 minute tube ride to London city. Well worth the travel as the restaurants and prices of general items are much cheaper here compared to the heart of London. About a 10 minute walk down the road there is an awesome strip of shops with a huge variety of restaurants. Highly recommend.

"Excellent staff, very comfy cleam room. Tasty breakfast"
Classic1531, 16 Avril 2016

Beautifully clean room. Very comfy bed. Nice and quiet room at back of hotel (sadly a view of the dustbins) but slept well as no road noise. Well appointed room with plenty of tea/coffee (no biscuits though!). Staff were very helpful Down ide is the very limied parking and it is on a busy dual carriageway. I would stay here again when in the area. Good breakfast, plenty of choice.

"Not 4 star. "
Peter S, 13 Avril 2016

Stayed for two weeks on business. Parking very limited which is not good as if you Park in the streets you could face a fine. Food and drink expensive. If I do revisit I will find a better hotel. Rooms not too bad. Second week they put me in a room with three single beds! I asked for a smaller room with a double bed. Thinking I was doing the staff a favour. No. They pushed two beds together. Strange.

"Is alright"
sowhat0216, 07 Avril 2016

Normally best western hotel are not bad i stayed at a few of them. This one is ok not too bad simply clean and tidy. The room are a bit on the small side and sounds insulation are not really well, you can hear people walking. The staff are very helpful and nice If you are parking there beware of the limited spaces it really is first come first serve but is free. The hotel is about 20 mins walk from tube station

"a little gem"
anthonyjames1000, 04 Avril 2016

this hotel is located in north London not far from the north circular road central London is easily accessible via bus from just outside the hotel the underground is a little further away about 1 mile the hotel itself is of a good standard ample for our needs on a one night stay for a relatives birthday party on far away I would recommend it

"Good standard"
tonih62, 03 Avril 2016

Not bad breakfast but if you arrive later in evening no parking available, Did not use restaurant. Looks like mostly used for workman in the area. Good choice if you get a really good price on it. But at full price would not stay again as parking issues, i am disabled and when i arrived disabled bays taken by cars not displaying bluebadge. When reception told they said they were sorry but its difficult

"weekend Away recommended stay"
Dot W, 01 Avril 2016

Area : In walking distance of Cricklewood train station, shops and eateries and approx. 1mile from Golders Green station. excellent transport links by bus. The hotel is on a busy main road, if you are a light sleeper book a room at the back. On arrival we were greeted by friendly and helpful staff and a complimentary room upgrade given.. Room ; We were on the second floor at the rear of the hotel, no noise from traffic. For a 3* hotel we felt areas were 4*, the room was clean and spacious, double bed, phone and hairdryer and toiletries in the bathroom, nice little touches such as tissue box on bedside, Dressing gown and slippers. Good lighting. Tea and coffee in the room. Down side: I feel that the bed needs upgrading, standard sprung mattress with a mattress topper neither having protectors but all spotlessly clean. Hairdryer not near a mirror. We had problems with our room card not working, but maintenance were there in speedy time and very polite. Unfortunately it was a recurring problem every time we wanted to return to our room. Plus side : Staff were excellent both on reception and in the bar off the reception. Reasonably priced drinks and bar food available to order until 9pm. The staff made our stay very enjoyable. polite friendly and always available. Restaurant : We had not booked to eat in the restaurant but did receive complimentary breakfast on out last morning for the inconvenience of the room key. Food ; Highly recommend the breakfast. Good variety to suit all. Poached egg and fried egg cooked to order and was perfect, Most places sausage let them down but no, good quality along with the bacon, food hot and service excellent . Nothing is too much trouble in ant area of the hotel. Would we stay there again? That's a YES. We have also looked at other Best Western Hotels for future travel, we normally book Premier Inn and apart from the beds same quality but better service in Best Western

"Worth a visit"
John V, 01 Avril 2016

Tried this hotel as it was convenient for my work location and was pleasantly surprised at the quality, which can be hit and miss in the London area. If you try to disregard the limited parking availability (the hotel do offer offsite options) the hotel itself is very well presented. The rooms are very good with the expected facilities, however was disappointed there was no biscuits in the tea/coffee tray. The highlight for me was dinner in the restaurant which I have got to say was excellent both in quality and value. Breakfast was good also even though I am not a fan of the buffet style of service. Overall a pleasant experience.

"lovely stay"
ellamay98, 30 Mars 2016

Although its abit far out from where we stayed last time we visited its such a modern clean hotel with beautiful decor and very comfy beds! the breakfast was great! the staff our extremely helpful and moved us into a different room after me being fussy (i booked a shower and ended up with a bath) they sorted it out quickly and professionally! the only problem i didn't receive my deposit back it wasn't a huge amount and maybe you have to ask yourself on departure so could be my fault! apart from that will be returning excellent value for money

"best hotel in nw london for value"
ukcouple33, 25 Mars 2016

value for money, free parking, on bus route for central London, rooms very clean, staff absolute amazing, breakfast good, Best Weston hotel, bus stop left turn out of door walk 200 meters catch the 113 into Marbel Arch or to Swiss Cottage and transfare to the under ground you must use Oyster Cards

"Very Convenient"
Janet O, 19 Mars 2016

This is a great hotel to stay at when attending any function in London. It is a short distance from the end of the M1, it is outside the congestion zone and there is parking. The 113 bus stops outside the hotel and goes to Selfridges in Oxford Street and there are also tube stations nearby. The hotel itself is very clean and the staff very helpful.I will definitely stay here again.

"Great stay - would recommend "
PixieMason, 15 Mars 2016

Clean, smart and modern rooms with large TV and sky. Evening food in the restaurant extremely good and great value. Staff happy, friendly and keen to help. As mentioned in other reviews, the hotel is situated by a main road however you know this before you book and take it into consideration. The hotel can't do anything about this. Well presented inside - overall, a very pleasant stay. Would definitely stay again.

"Low budget, High service"
cobden49, 14 Mars 2016

This excellent hotel is a 15 minute walk or a £7.00 taxi ride from Golders Green Tube station and so is ideally located for getting in to the centre on London. A taxi all the way to the West End cost us £20. Our room was clean and modern. The staff were, without exception so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble, from ordering a taxi to showing us how to operate the flat screen TV. Excellent buffet style breakfast too.

"Excellent "
potterjja12, 13 Mars 2016

Nice clean hotel with nice rooms flat screen television and nice big mugs for tea and coffee. Breakfast excellent with a good variety. Staff friendly and helpful And we're concerned that I'd lost my programme for the musical I had been to

"One night Stopover"
EdWilcock, 10 Mars 2016

I had an early meeting in Hampstead so looked for a local hotel and came up with the Palm Hotel. I was really pleasantly surprised when I arrived with a very tidy modernised hotel. It was very well decorated with modern fittings. A nice little bar with sports on the television and a nice little restaurant which we only used for breakfast. The room was spacious and well laid out with usual coffee/tea facilities. It had a large flatscreen television with full sky channels. Very surprising. The bathroom was very modern clean and well equipped with shampoo etc. The breakfast was excellent value at an additional £12.95 with nice Lincolnshire sausages, lovely smoked bacon and the fried eggs were cooked to order. Plenty of juices and cereals/fruit and an automatic toaster. There was also a cabinet with pastries and croissants. The staff were friendly and helpful. I will definitely use this hotel again if staying in the area. My only criticism was the parking is limited and I arrived late at 9pm and there were no parking spaces left. We had to park on the road outside which was not a problem as it was free but on a busier day I could see that being an issue.

"Decent hotel, but location not great"
Nicola B, 05 Mars 2016

Hotel is modern and clean, with nice, though compact rooms. Staff are really helpful and wi-fi is free. The only issue is the location - the hotel is on a very busy road, with lots of traffic noise. (I think it's the North Circular road) We aren't light sleepers, but the noise from the road even woke us in the middle of the night, so I wouldn't recommend this place for families. The nearest tube station is a mile away, so easy enough to get into central London and rate was very reasonable.

"Had a great time!"
Lesley B, 27 Février 2016

Room and food was great. Staff very friendly and helpful. The only thing that you may not like is the limited parking spaces. However, it is local to tube stations and bus stops & staff will arrange taxis for you if you ask.

"Comfortable "
k-mg-suffolk-uk, 27 Février 2016

We had high expectations, I was especially looking forward to a walk in shower as I've mobility limitations, but when it came to the shower neither my husband or I could get hot water from shower or sink tap ??. So my husband had a cold shower and I washed with a kettle full of water in sink. We therfore asked at reception and when the management checked they said it took a long time for water to get hot as our room was furthest from boiler, that is unacceptable, that should have been written down or explained to us. Unfortunately that spoilt an otherwise very pleasant overnight stay.

"Recommended hotel by ARCADIA TRAVEL, TG. MURES"
SilviuCirciu, 23 Février 2016

I've been in a city break organised by ARCADIA TRAVEL from Targu Mures, Romania. I've stayed at Best Western Palm hotel for 3 nights. The hotel is very good, big rooms, clean and helpful staff. They also speak other foreign languages. The breakfast is buffet. ARCADIA TRAVEL recommends this hotel!

"Excellent"
Falklad, 20 Février 2016

Stayed here for one night immediately after staying in a Travelodge and the difference was like Chalk and Cheese. The staff on arrival were friendly and accommodating, nothing was too much. The room was huge and well decorated. Plenty of plug sockets which was a bonus. The food was super, the steak was fantastic and breakfast lovely. My two minor faults are: 1) on arrival the window was wide open and the room freezing, took about an hour to warm up. 2) The toilet is tightly fitted into the bathroom, I am an average guy and felt squashed in when I sat on the loo. Lol. Would stay again and recommend.

"ideal for those driving into london"
JohnMallett, 17 Février 2016

the hotel was easily accessed for those travelling in from the north of london and unlike most had car parking on site. once we arrived although earlier than we had stated the greeting staff couldnt have been more helpful to get us booked in. our visit was corresponding with a visit to the west end and the nearest tube station Golders Green is on the Northern Line which directly goes to the hub of London, also Camden was only three stops down the line which sorted the following day at the market. it was about 15 minutes walk however there is a 24 hour mini cab office at the station if you would prefer a lift back. when we got back to the hotel late at night the service at reception and the bar was again very helpful. i will definately be looking to use this hotel when visiting for my next show

"Basic "
Jav66, 15 Février 2016

Outside the hotel is a bus stop with a really good service into London Mayfair and also not far from the tube if you prefer. I have stayed twice and both times easy free parking and was able to check in early. I can't review that this is a great hotel as it's not just a good Base to stay near London but a cheaper option. The hotel bedrooms are with dark carpets and furniture and feels really drab and not very nice. Just stayed again after alot of debating and had another room and again dark and not very welcoming. It had a damp smell this time on the way to the room although wasn't. It was however quite cold and having to turn off the blowers as the noise was loud the thin quit did have me awake a couple of times in the night. The rooms are clean and bed comfy but about all I can say. I haven't stayed for breakfast as I tend to think if the room is basic then the food may be also. Just my thoughts. If you want a cheap weekend in London then this will tick the box but just don't expect much and then you won't be disappointed.

"Okay"
Mr_Cooke13, 12 Février 2016

I did not pay for this hotel so cannot really comment on the price, but for the price paid I would say there is better standards of accommodation out there. The hotel is clean, well presented and the staff go out of their way to help. Every bedroom is en-suite and had Sky TV which was a pleasant surprise. The air conditioning system in the room did not really function the way I expected it to, weather that was me being a bit thick I'm not sure but it was difficult to get it to produce heat. The room also had ample plug sockets including next to the beds, something which most hotels do not seem able to provide! So you can sit in bed and write TripAdvisor reviews on your phone whilst it is charging if that is your prerogative. I had a beef burger from the bar meals menu which was nice, well presented and not too over priced. I cannot comment on breakfast as I chose to skip it on this occasion. I would return, however, if I was footing the bill then I'd seek alternative accommodation similarly priced.

"Good service, prices okay, free parking, fast internet. Room quality can vary. FREE LATE CHECKOUT!"
IntrepidTravellah, 10 Février 2016

If you need a hotel in this area, then this is the one to go for. I've stayed in several, and the Best Western Palm is now my preferred choice in the Cricklewood/Brent Cross area. What I like about the hotel is that they do not try and squeeze customers for things that other hotels do: parking is free (there is usually space available in their free car park, but there is also street parking if you can't), and Internet access is also free (and pretty fast). In terms of the rooms, things can be very varied. For the same type and price of room, I've been given rooms that greatly vary in size. They are all clean and well decorated though. One thing I did not like is that there are many changes in level: one step up, one step down and so on. It can get rather annoying when you've got heavy luggage! To get free late checkout (until 3pm), sign up for their free Best Western Rewards programme. I was offered a Gold membership straight away, and that gives you late checkouts for free (if available). I've stayed in this hotel many times, and late checkout was always available.

"Average hotel"
Stephology, 09 Février 2016

We stayed for one night on the weekend. It is easy to get to from Golders Green tube station so the location is good. Our room was also very spacious and was clean yoo. Also the staff were very friendly. However, the walls of the rooms were as thin as paper and we could hear everytime someone walked past and their conversation too! The hotel was very noisy and we found it quite difficult to sleep. Furthermore the breakfast was very poor for £12.95 each. The choice was limited and i had to ask for my food to be warmed as it was all cold. Overall it was an average stay, ok for one night.

"Interesting stay in suburbia"
Moipoitoi, 09 Février 2016

Between Christmas and New Year we stayed at this hotel for 3days/2 nights. I was looking for a good deal, found it but did not realise how far out of London it was situated. Friends from Greece were joining us and they were very happy to see the "other " side of London, not just the touristy bits! The hotel was cosy, with well appointed rooms housing all the facilities required. The bathrooms were of a good size with sensible notices re: use of towels etc. The beds were very comfortable and the guests could alter the room temperature to suit their own needs,( much better than sweating in a sauna or freezing!) All the staff from front of house to the maids were very pleasant, chatty and will to help with any query we had.The bar food menu was not extensive but had a good selection of mid priced meals while the dinner menu provided was excellent. The buffet breakfast menu was very comprehensive and satisfied the hungriest guest. The Reception staff were very knowledgeable with regard to bus, train and tube services and guided our sightseeing tours with accuracy. We spent a very enjoyable time at the hotel and would recommend it if you wanted the opportunity to see the "other " side of London.

"Nice hotel with easy link to the city centre "
Mariella B, 08 Février 2016

We stayed for a weekend with friends. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff friendly, and a bus stop two minutes walk from the hotel will take you directly to the city centre (marble Arch), with runs both days and nights . We didn't try the breakfast. Excellent value for money for London.

"Great service but bad parking "
hvalxo, 07 Février 2016

Recently stayed here, all the staff were very nice and helpful. A particular member of staff called Karem was extremely helpful and just a genuine nice person. The room was excellent and with sky and free wifi it was good to relax. Unfortunately whilst our stay there, there were 2 functions happening. This led to the car park being full and both sides of the road. Drove round the block for half an hour one night and ended up having to leave our car on a road about 10 mins away from the hotel. I personally think the car park should only be available for the customers that are actually staying in the hotel, not for a function. Apart from this everything else was spot on. Would recommend but if you want to plan a day out id leave your car in the car park, at least you know you'd have a space then.

"Great Value"
Tom L, 06 Février 2016

Only stayed one night on business and didn't arrive till late but was impressed by hotel. Parking not massively available, although I stayed late and the small car gate was closed - but there was a spot in front of the hotel. Hotel reception is small but smart. Room was modern and spacious. Considering the price I paid for a London hotel, I was very pleasantly surprised. Check-in was quick and easy. TV in room was tiny - but it included SKY TV - including sports which I personally thought was great. Room service was quick and easy - guy delivering it was polite. Good night sleep. Breakfast was buffet-based - a small selection but all the essentials and all good quality. Restaurant was smart and modern. No complaints at all and would happily stay again.

"Has faults "
Dan45030, 03 Février 2016

Rooms ok, apart from strong drain smell in the room, no heat source in bathroom so towels stay damp and have to be changed every day. Staff are good very polite and helpful. Wall are thin and have been woke up by drunk people noisy people even had to ring reception. Parking is hit and miss if there is a function on you have no chance of getting a space and there is no street parking anywhere.

"Great place to stay"
steven c, 28 Janvier 2016

2 night stay (business & pleasure) with my wife. Perfect location, handy for transport to central London, great parking. Modern rooms. Slightly noisy, as busy road, but no major issues. Another 2 nights booked for next week - new 1st choice for area for when I'm staying in the area.

"Worse than Fawlty Towers."
Julia O, 28 Janvier 2016

Two of us stayed here for just a one night stay with a Familiarisation trip. We had hurried reception and given key to a far room, up a long corridor, up and down steps with doors and sticky carpets to pull our luggage along. The TV did not work but we were too tired anyway, Room was dusty, especially behind the springy uncomfortable beds and the room was overcrowded with furniture, my friend was bitten by an insect. There was an uncomfortable toilet in the bathroom which was so tight in the corner, any one larger than us would have got wedged in.The bathroom and shower were not clean enough for a 4 star hotel with mould growing in the corners. Breakfast was awful, they had run out of everything and we were by no means the last to arrive in the dining room. There was not enough room for everyone at once in the dining area and many guests had to wait to be seated at their tables. Then, nearly all the trays of food were empty and we had a long wait for replacements, which eventually came out in small amounts, all this, knowing that we had a coach to board .They knew the amount of guests staying and were not ready. Had to ask 4 times for our coffee which eventually arrived at the end of the breakfast. There was very poor service, from staff who appeared to be rushing around but also appeared not organised. Also, some staff appeared to not understand much English.. I heard other guests getting very annoyed and shouting that there was no food, during breakfast time. I have never complained before so this must have been poor service for me to write. Now I prefer Travelodge if I come to London, which is much better service and always spotless. Some of our party seemed to have enjoyed their stay but my colleague and I will not be recommending this hotel this time. It is also not disabled friendly either.

"Really Good Stay"
kaz1529, 26 Janvier 2016

Stayed at the Palm Hotel in London with my 14 year old daughter just before Christmas and from the moment we got there from the moment we left; the staff made us feel very welcome. Our room overlooked the secure car park and was bigger than I had expected for London for the price. It was very clean and had a safe in the wardrobe if anyone had wanted to keep their valuables in there. The bed was huge and very comfortable. Bathroom was very clean with complimentary toiletries. Breakfast was lovely, a mixture of continental and full English. We chose the continental for the two mornings we were there. There is a Tesco's down the road by Brent Cross shopping centre if you forget anything. We caught the 113 bus from just outside the hotel to Finchley Road tube station but you can stay on the bus until you reach Marble Arch. The hotel even let me keep my car in the car park on the Sunday after we had checked out enabling us to go back into London before we left to go home. I will definitely going back December this year!

"A 2 night Stay"
BirdieHove, 25 Janvier 2016

Stayed at the Palm Hotel as part of a Familiarisation Trip. Had a lovely twin room on the second floor at the side of building overlooking the secure car park. The room was very clean & the bathroom was tucked away in its own little recess.. I would definitely request that room again. Both nights we stayed there, there was a event going on in the reception rooms. The first night we didn't hear a thing ( well apart from the rubbish being thrown into the bins ) but we were aware of the beat coming from the music on our second night. Having said that we were so tired it didn't take long for us to fall asleep. I am not sure how well I would have slept if I hadn't been on the second floor though. The breakfast was very nice with a lot of variety & you could eat as much as you wanted. On Saturday night we hopped onto the bus which stops just outside the hotel and went to Oxford Street for dinner and then walked a couple of mins back to the bus stop to come home to the hotel . No hassle. The staff at the hotel were very kind & friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. I would definitely stay again at the hotel & wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others.

"We would definitely stay again"
Roy D, 10 Janvier 2016

Good meet and greet at reception. Room was clean and comfy. Staff are friendly and helpful. Price is competitive. What more could you want? Our rule of thumb is "would we stay again" Most certainly a big yes!

"Excellent Place to Stay"
Agcat05, 04 Janvier 2016

My friends and I stayed 6 nights in this hotel for our first trip to London, and we absolutely enjoyed our stay. We had an issue with our first room (the shower wasn't draining properly), but they moved as soon as another triple room became available. The staff helped us with EVERYTHING - from arranging and explaining our transportation options daily, helping us handle an Uber driver at 4am, and even ordering us a late night pizza after a long night out. Ivona, Jade, Karem, and all of the other workers there were invaluable to us and I can't thank them enough for putting up with three crazy, needy American girls all week. The hotel is near the Golders Green tube station (10-15 minute walk) and the 113 bus runs right outside and will take you straight towards Marble Arch to the middle of London. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Stay here - you won't regret it.

"Close to M1 and 20mins to London by bus"
MrsCSheffield, 04 Janvier 2016

Stayed here on a Saturday night and was thrilled with the hotel. We travelled down the M1 and arrived only a couple of minutes after leaving the motorway. We arrived at 10.45am and we're pleased to find our room already available. After unloading the car we made our way into London by the no 113 bus which stops just up the road from the hotel. This took us to Baker Street where we got the tube to our destination. It was so easy to get into central London but lovely to be able to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city at night. Our room was a triple room which overlooked the car park. it was so quiet I couldn't believe we were in London. I was a bit worried when we first arrived at the hotel that we may have a room on the front of the hotel which I can imagine would be really noisy. It would be a good idea to contact the hotel prior to arrival and ask for a room at the rear of the hotel - the staff were really friendly and I don't think this would be a problem for them to sort for you. I would definitely stay here again the free secure parking and no congestion charge are real bonuses.

"Wonderful!!"
LieshD, 03 Janvier 2016

I don't have the highest expectations with hotels since you most often "get what you pay for". We were pleasantly surprised with this place. The staff are so very helpful and informative, they go above and beyond to help you with anything and everything, they even made arrangements for us to get to the airport the cheapest and fastest way. The room was very clean! And the food in the restaurant was fantastic as well! Highly recommend this hotel!!

"Good value and helpful staff"
wilson015, 30 Décembre 2015

Stayed here for two nights whilst visiting relatives who lived nearby. For a hotel outside central London it is very good value for modern comfortable accommodation , you would find more convenient accommodation closer to the centre but at a much higher price. The staff were helpful and friendly, the breakfasts were very good and the rooms were clean and comfortable. There were a few design faults in our room , no mirror by the hairdryer which was could not be unplugged, no door on the shower cubicle so water sprayed on the floor and a poor heating system--if these were rectified then it would have been an excellent rating. Overall very good value.

"The only thing stopping this being terrible is the bed..."
Lauraritchie88, 30 Décembre 2015

I always feel it is important to give an overall view when staying at a hotel, so let's start with the positives - Polite staff - Comfy bed - Sky TV in the room And that's all I can think to say as the positives. However, the Negatives are as follows: - Without doubt the noisiest hotel I have ever stayed in, I got one hours sleep as they were playing music until 2.45am and the bass was running through my room until then. - As we were in room 116, it meant we were the room at the top of the stairs to reception and the doors were so so loud that every time anyone came onto the corridor, it felt as though they were coming through our door! - Room service is advertised at between noon and 9:30pm (other than the 24 hour options) and when ringing for room service at 3pm, was told I had to wait until 5pm I would never stay at this hotel again, the noise levels are completely unacceptable.

"Great! "
Sabrina T, 27 Décembre 2015

Booked by my partner last minute for a quick getaway, very nice hotel with free parking. Checkin and check out were very smooth and staff were helpful. The hotel is served by the 113 bus stop right outside which gave us quick links to the tube station to get into central. Room was slightly small but well equipped with everything needed. Cannot fault and would stay again.

"Good hotel, smiling front desk"
VIckyBahl, 24 Décembre 2015

Stayed here with my wife for 3 nights in November 2015. Overall a good experience at the hotel - rooms and bathrooms were clean, front desk was helpful and gym (although small) was also manageable for the price we paid. Something to improve will be the noise from the main road just outside the hotel - at least we did get disturbed once in a while at night when it became too noisy. The nearby public transit points take you to the heart of London within 30 minutes.

"Hotel"
Cyril O, 23 Décembre 2015

All facilities in this hotel are of very good standard. The hotel staff are friendly and the accommodation was very good. I also enjoyed the food. There are parking availbale for those that drive I will surely stay in this hotel again.

"Avoid this hotel, they don't pay there employees"
Jeferson T, 21 Décembre 2015

I have worked for this company for the past 5 months, I left the company to move to another city, Because I became a student up to the North of England, when I sign off my contract I was due to be paid holiday pay according to UK Laws, but this company break the law for not paid my holiday entitlement and some hours missing, I tried contact with the General Manager called "Brian Wildash", He refused to pay what I was entitled to, unfortunately in UK if you want to make a claim in Employment Tribunal you have to pay upfront 200 pounds upfront, which I did not, because I did not have this money, I made a claim in Small Claims Court but he failed to respond the claim and now I am due to send bailiffs to the hotel to get any objects to pay what this hotel owns from me. after all this you can see that this company doesn't care about the employees which gives the best to provide a good customer service. I was Receptionist and I really regret to came here to tell you this history. After you read all this if up to you if you want to stay with them. Think twice before eating breakfast there!!!!!

"10.11"
P P, 21 Décembre 2015

Very clean and comfortable stay with generous size rooms and bed. Toilet needs a bit more space and a sink outside the washing facility would be great. Needs to put more tea and coffee sachet with more milk and sugar

"two fantastic days in london"
phil v, 14 Décembre 2015

the hotel is just outside the centre of London. It was so easy to hope on bus and you were soon in London. The hotel is very clean and the staff very friendly. I have no problem recommending this hotel for all your needs in London.

"Great stay..reasonable price"
Laura E, 29 Novembre 2015

We stayed here last night as we were off to winter wonderland. Lovely hotel. Pleasantly surprised. Very modern and clean inside. Room was clean, spacious and Modern also. Bathroom was lovely. Velux blind was fab, kept all light out and gave us a great nights sleep. Staff were friendly. Free parking for the car out the bAck. Train was only a 10 min walk away. Would stay again.

"A real find"
margatekid, 23 Novembre 2015

If you could pick this hotel up and move it to the West End everybody would be quite prepared to pay an extortionate amount to stay here it is that good. Unfortunately its location on the side of a busy 3 lane carriageway doesn't give it the aura it deserves. Inside the rooms are spacious, well appointed and tick all the right boxes. The staff and the food really impressive. Maybe the signage from the car park, the lack of natural light in the breakfast suite let it down slightly but otherwise a great place to stay in greater London

"Unexpectedly good"
Spurschappy, 22 Novembre 2015

I had to book the Palm hotel for a business trip to Hampstead as a last minute change as the hotel's we wanted weren't available. It is located conveniently within easy access of the M1. Parking was fine and free! Reception staff were very pleasant and our rooms on the first floor were spacious and clean. Bar area was bright and clean. Restaurant for breakfast was ok, although they did try to charge is when it was already included in our rate. All in all a very happy stay.

"Affordable stay in London"
george576178, 22 Novembre 2015

Affordable stay in London close public transport with good connection to central London. Some rooms facing the street have noise from busy traffic. Some of the staff were very helpful, while some others indifferent.

"Birthday trip to London"
katep553, 15 Novembre 2015

My husband and I enjoyed our stay immensely. The reception was light airy and inviting and the staff were helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable and spacious and we particularly enjoyed the large shower. There was a good selection of items for breakfast in the morning. The location was ideal too and the free parking was a bonus.

"City Break"
Markcueboy, 15 Novembre 2015

Upon arrival after a long journey, the first question my partner was asked was, 'Are you British' when it already appeared on the form which had been filled in prior to our stay. In my opinion, the reception staff need 'retraining' on customer service/relations & how to speak to English people. The room was modern/spacious, although our requested double bed was two single beds pushed together! Bathroom was modern with the shower being powerful & enjoyable. Breakfast/dining area was quite small & on our second breakfast we had to wait [embarrassingly] ten minutes for a table. Continental & cooked breakfasts were available & were to a good standard. The overall price was steep for what was available/facilities. Would we return? Possibly. 3/5.

"Comfortable stay"
Carmenlai, 12 Novembre 2015

Well aware that the hotel is not conveniently located but bus is available quite frequently to nearby underground station. Room is exactly the same with the picture, spacious, luxurious and comfortable. Is quite noisy to open the window because the room is facing the main road but noise insulation is okay once window is closed. Staff is okay. They help to call cab a few times to the underground station due to rain. Each trip cost £8. No midnight charges for the cab we called at 5am.

"Very bad area, hard to get to without a car, and awful staff"
Jay A, 11 Novembre 2015

Upon arrival, we took public transit and had to walk 30 minutes with our luggages to get to the hotel as it is located in the middle of houses on a main street. Public transit does not go right to it. Every time we asked for them to call a cab for us, they did not call the official cab companies instead calling a private company who over charged us overtime. The rooms were very small, and had a group of kids there who knocked on the door every morning. After telling the staff, they did nothing about it. Our last day, it rained through their roof windows and was wet all over the carpeting upstairs. The elevator was broken and we had to lug our luggages down multiple levels of stairs, without any help. After complaining to the front desk staff, they said they could not do anything about it and were very rude.

"Better to forget"
JessicaGege, 09 Novembre 2015

Ordinary hotel situated in a very busy street. Smelly rooms and very tiny bathrooms. The reception was unfriendly and unprofessional: we had to remind more than once that we were three guests in the room; furthermore at the moment of the check-in, with the room already paid in full months in advance and no notice or information about the following during the booking process, we had to pay £20 caution to cover for "potential extras" that we didn't take advantage of.

"Amazing value, very luxurious"
robertoclarkson, 09 Novembre 2015

I was expecting it to be good and the room be very similar to the picture. The room was even more luxurious than in the picture, amazing customer service and very spacious. Breakfast, was okay also although it had allt of choice, the quality could be improved. Very nice stay and would recommend this hotel to others.

"Brilliant"
FrankieLou96, 08 Novembre 2015

We visited the hotel during half term and it was very nice. Very clean. The staff were very helpful! We couldn't check in until 2pm and we got there at 12:30pm and the staff allowed us to leave our bags and go off for the day! Which was very helpful! The food was very nice! We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely go back!

"Good place for stay in London"
warmtea, 05 Novembre 2015

Booked room only 24 hours in advanced. Accommodated in a spacious room at rear of hotel. Clean, quiet, slept well. Sky box was not working or maybe I did not operate it coeectly - no instructions present. Got to central London by bus from bus stop not very far away. Would do the same again if I had to get to London for a short stay.

"Honey moon"
LoveMlove, 04 Novembre 2015

I was staying at the hotel for my honeymoon. It was an amazing hotel. Helpful staff. Their breakfast was amazing. My favorite were the croissants and mushroom eggs. Will definitely recommend it to others.

"Great location for exploring London!"
Sean K, 04 Novembre 2015

Hotel is easy access from M1. It is clean and tidy. Hotel staff are helpful. We stayed here for 4 nights over half term to explore London. We took instant porridge with us for breakfast which saved us 12.95 each every day and saved time for getting to tube station. Golders Green is 15 minutes walk away and gives easy access down the Northern Line South. When we checked out on Friday morning staff allowed us to leave our car in the car park so we could use the morning and early afternoon to do a bit more sight seeing in London. Will definitely use this hotel again when we go back!

"Good 3 night stay"
PeachesPeaches, 01 Novembre 2015

We stayed for 3 nights, Wednesday to Friday. Very mixed reviews on here as it obviously depends where your room is. We were on the ground floor away from the busy road so didn't suffer any traffic noise. We did grumble together about the noise from other guests in the corridor talking loudly at night and having their televisions on loudly before 7am, but that is the inconsiderate guests who probably then give the hotel bad reviews! The room was clean with a nice shower room/toilet but suffered slightly from the dreaded London drains smell unfortunately. The staff were very friendly and polite, but we didn't have any reason to complain or ask for anything. The breakfast was very nice, with everything and more than what you would normally eat. There didn't seem to be any rules if food could be taken from the breakfast room so some people were so greedy that we saw them walking out with handfuls of whatever food they could carry. The bus to Marble Arch (takes about 30 mins) was a stones throw away or you could walk 20mins to Golders Green to catch the Northern line tube into Central London. Free gated car park was a bonus which had plenty of spaces.

"Not great service"
Gareth H, 31 Octobre 2015

Currently staying here for a 1 night stay and quite disappointed with the service. Checked in and informed the front desk that the sky box wasn't working in our room. After he reset it, advised us he couldn't fix it and left. Its 11pm and im sat listening to the extremely loud music coming from the conference room on the floor below. Rang the front desk and was told it would be stopped at midnight - not good for families staying or anyone who needs to be up early. Finally, each bed given 1 pillow. When asked for more, front desk said there are no spares! Crazy. Apart from this, the room was fine for the price.

"Theatre Weekend - Spoiled. "
PurpleGoldFish, 31 Octobre 2015

The hotel on the whole is OK, it would be unfair to say it wasn't 4 star, it has all the amenities you'd expect, but its not a 4 star experience. Road noise, customer service and the finish of the rooms needs looked at. Night 1 was a disaster due to the buildings location on Hendon Way (as I've now found out is one of London's busiest roads 24/7 and our room was maybe =<10m away from the road. Room was impressive on first impressions, but on closer inspection it clear the rooms are in need of attention and maintenance. Today, I asked to move room due to the noise, I moved from 214 to 216 (back of hotel) before 10 minutes after getting sorted the front desk called up to say we'd need to move again as they'd already allocated that room and we'd have to move again. Now I'm in 206. 206 smells foisty and has humming noise from (I'm guessing aircon). The only purpose to the hotel was to give me somewhere to rest and sleep to make the most of my limited time in London. I got 1.5hours sleep on night one and I'm not holding out much hope that the humming or the smell will go away. I can't go back to reception, faulty towers is funny on TV, but not when you've limited time and spend £100s.

"1 night stay!"
Agnese L, 28 Octobre 2015

Friendly staff, nice and clean room and tasty breakfast. Big plus for car park!!! On down side, the room was really hot, even after turning the heating off, couldn't sleep all night and of course noise, could hear everything what's happening on the hallway and on the street.

"Nice Hotel for a short stay"
O6378MZmarkm, 22 Octobre 2015

Great soundproofing ! I didn't hear the traffic outside. The restaurant was pleasant and the food was good. Short walk 20 mins to the tube for central London. Able to leave my car free of charge all day

"2 night business stay"
mikeshuff, 21 Octobre 2015

Overall pretty good on everything, good quality room, good size comfy bed, pleasant staff. Would stay again when in the area. Slight down side when. Booked 4 months in advance and booked 5 double rooms for myself and 4 colleagues, also asked for quiet rooms as we would be working late and up early in the morning. My room was a twin not a double, plus right behind the lift and adjacent to doors to corridor leading to all the other rooms, not exactly quiet. My director was on the main road and woken several times by sirens and traffic. So quality of rooms good, attention to detail of booking request poor.

"Noisy, and not customer friendly."
Shilumbu, 18 Octobre 2015

The rooms are reasonable. However if you are placed in one of the rooms next to the main Hendon Way, you will suffer from terrible traffic noise. The restaurant is limited in its men, and if you have dietary needs do not visit as they will not deviate from the menu. They will not prepare simple unsalted boiled new potatoes. Breakfast is buffet style.

"Urban Oasis"
snowysfather, 18 Octobre 2015

Got a deal for a Thursday night for £99, double room. Superb, clean, spacious, great fresh food and Sky tv in room. The dinning area / restaurant was set out for a coach party, so was a tad regimented, but the food was pipping hot and fresh, great polite service too.

"Easy to find, but a nightmare road to leave on"
Claire S, 17 Octobre 2015

The hotel was easy to find and well signposted. Did email on booking and tell them we would need a disabled space, but all spaces on front were occupied so had to go to rear of hotel, but there were no disabled spaces set aside anyway. Had two rooms booked and, to be honest if you want space, book a triple or family room. We had the double on the ground floor which was very small and the bathroom even smaller! The shower leaked and the flowaway from the shower was very slow (both reported). Our daughters had a triple room (should have been originally 3 travelling) and we could have got our room almost in their bathroom!! It was huge!! They had a lovely shower cubicle (doors didn't meet when closed) and room to manoeuvre when you got out, a far cry from our room. The bar was reasonable so no concerns there. Breakfast, well that was very expensive if purchased on the day (£12.95 each) and some of it was lukewarm and soggy (beans and potato waffles) and we had to wait quite a while for the sausages and egg to be replenished. There was no choice with regards to eggs - scrambled only and, by the time we got to breakfast, there was very little of most things left. On leaving - WHAT A NIGHTMARE!! Not the easiest hotel to get out of to leave London - 3 lanes of traffic either side of a barrier and having to go to a well queued crossroads to turn the car around.

"Great Hotel"
Jade H, 15 Octobre 2015

This hotel was brilliant especially for our short trip to london. Location is great and is in a quiet area. Our room was very clean and very modern. Only thing is that the nearest tube is quite a walk away. Other than that would recommend and will return again. Fully enjoyed my stay at this hotel.

"Great location "
partonj, 14 Octobre 2015

Stayed here as a couple. The location was great, hotel was clean and tidy, staff were smart friendly and helpful. The room was clean, tidy and everything worked. The breakfasts were hot and tasty with lots of choice. Only one niggle was that there was no toaster. I would definitely stay here again when visiting the capital.

"wonderful staff"
mfh1, 13 Octobre 2015

Very easy to find. Staff came out and helped with parking and access into hotel and room. (Not easy with a disabled daughter on a stretcher.) Mr S Turk was especially helpfu. Went out of his way to be of assisstance as did the young man with him. THANKS it was very much appreciated.l

"Great Hotel with only a few blips"
KMF28, 13 Octobre 2015

I was worried about this hotel having seen other reviews around the time that I was visiting but I needent have. The hotel didn't look the greatest on the outside and is on a very busy road but this was not an issue. I had a room facing onto the road and had one of the best night sleeps we had ever had. We were in a suite type room with 2 separate rooms and 2 bathrooms. they were clean and well presented. We had a small issue with the heating not working which wasn't ideal in February however with a simple call to the reception desk we had it fixed within 10 mins. Amazing staff who were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend this hotel to anyone thinking about visiting London (only about 15 mins on the tube to the centre of London) and looking forward to my next stay in it for my next visit

"A lovely stay"
Liz J, 09 Octobre 2015

I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone who wanted to stay in the London area but not in the centre. Buses to Marble Arch went from just down the road. The food both at breakfast and dinner was excellent. I was particularly impressed that the breakfast bacon was properly cooked and laid on toast to stop any wetness forming and the fried eggs were cooked to order. Our room was large and spotless, the staff very pleasant. Considering the road it sits on, it is reasonably

"Excellent first stay I will definitely stay again"
dazzaref, 09 Octobre 2015

I normally stay in Cricklewood or Kilburn, but on this occasion my travel agent booked this hotel as I was on business from Ethiopia. I have to say I was thoroughly impressed what the Palm had to offer. I landed at 7am into Heathrow after two long flights, when I arrived at the hotel at 9am the young male receptionist found me a room to check into immediately, this was very much appreciated and badly needed, he was extremely professional and helpful. The hotel is beautifully decorated and the rooms spotlessly clean. The hotel has air con in the room I was allocated and the bed was spotless . They also had their own sky box which is a manor plus. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will definitely return. Well done all the Palm hotel professional and

"Spacious and clean rooms. Very good value for London"
Ilaudj, 07 Octobre 2015

I stayed at the Palm Hotel for 10 nights and i can say that i had a very nice experience. The rooms are spacious (i stayed on the second floor), everything was very clean and seemed new, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom wasn't crowded. Also a big plus is the fact that exactly in front of the hotel there is a bus stop, and a underground station is at about 15 minutes walk or 3 minutes with the bus, so you can get to the centre in about 30-45 minutes. To sum it up,it was a nice experience and i would definitely stay there again.

"Great value for money"
ireneS480, 06 Octobre 2015

Had read reviews which were mixed - pleasantly surprised - stayed 3 nights in a family room - pull out double bed-settee and 2 singles - good sized room - plenty of towels - immaculately clean - the double bed was not comfortable though as it needed an extra layer between the springs and the quilt - bar prices were very reasonable - opens 24 hours - barman was very good and friendly - we ate in the bar one night and can recommend the £12.95 sharing platter with chicken wings, garlic bread, onion rings, chips. 20 minutes walk to Northern Line metro or 2 minutes to bus stop. Gym was good too according to my son. Would definitely stay again

"Decent hotel...would stay again"
docintrouble, 05 Octobre 2015

This was our second visit to this hotel. The rooms are quite nice although maybe a little on the smaller side, they are quite adequate. Breakfast is comparable to most hotels. We had Sky TV which sports on HD which was a good bonus! Check out time a decent 12 noon. They charge £10 per hour over that! Free parking and free wifi a huge bonus for savings! Would highly recommend and will definitely stay in the future.

"Excellent, clean bedrooms and a great location."
Angela W, 05 Octobre 2015

The hotel is situated approx. 25 minutes from the centre. A bus stop is a 2 minute walk away or two tube stations in a 1 mile walk (or £5 taxi fare) Great location to be far enough out of town that it is quiet, great car park no congestion charge etc but accessible easily enough. Taxi from Soho to the Hotel cost £13 at 2am - very reasonable! The room was clean, usual tea/coffee etc and the addition of a Sky box was greatly received to relax to. The breakfast was rather pricey ( we thought it was all in the booking but apparently not.. bit of a shock when we were told so we only had it one morning not both) Breakfast was ok and suited most people.

"Good value for money fairly close to London attractions."
Sudip C, 01 Octobre 2015

Excellent value for money. Comfortable and fairly spacious Twin room that we had. Free secure parking was a big plus for us. The Hotel had a clean and newly furbished appearance. Staff are friendly and willing to help although some lack local knowledge. Did not experience the Hotel food but when I asked, after hours (10pm) they only had a limited choice of sandwiches left despite an extensive published room-service menu. Tube station is about a twenty minute walk as are the local convenience stores. I would rate the Hotel Services as 3 Star overall.
