"Very good apartment hotel in West Ealing"

5
02/11/2018

In general, this hotel is in the area of West Ealing. The location is very convenient. During our stay, we usually took E3 or E2 buses to Northfields underground station. The Piccadilly line passes by many points of interest. In addition, it was a very short ride to the airport. The hotel is very clean. The room is very spacious. The hallway is wide. I could not believe this was London. Staff members are very friendly. The manager gave us one of the best unit in the building, in which the kitchen and laundry are completely separated. One minor hiccup was that our shower switch did not work initially. The staff members let us use bath rooms in different units. They are very friendly and accommodating. This is one of the best hotels that will make you feel money well spent in London where usually everything is expensive. I strong recommend this hotel to all friends of mine.

"Short Family Break!"

22/08/2018

Arrived Friday late afternoon, lady on reception told us to sit down for 10mins as she couldn't find our reservation, not a brilliant start after a 4 & a half hour drive. Eventually given card for room. The room looked ok but on better inspection I wasn't at all impressed. Black hairs stuck to wall in shower. Bathroom door handle kept falling off, even informed reception staff on Saturday morning, when we returned Saturday evening the handle was back on but hadn't been fixed & came off in our hands again ?? (totally unacceptable) There was an absolute foul smell in the kitchen fridge, couldn't even open it as the smell lingered & Knocked everyone sick. Lifted up the sofa bed as a double bed had been made up in the living room, considering there were five of us needing beds we thought we'd see if there was anymore bedding underneath we could use, wish we hadn't now, there was a heavily stained pillow & dirty bedding lay there (again totally disgusting & unacceptable) Very loud traffic & air con. Not a great from the bedroom window. 20min walk from Ealing Broadway tube. All in all would definitely not stay here again.

Philipp W, General Manager at Best Western Maitrise Suites Apartment Hotel, responded to this review
Dear Victoria K Thank you for your review. I am very sorry that so many little things went wrong with your stay. The door handle should have been fixed first time once you have reported it and the extra bedding should not have been in the state you reported it, this will be replaced immediately. Thank you for advising us.

"Small hotel on busy city street, average, some wear and tear."

02/07/2018

The hotel is on a busy run down section of road but there are some shops and many restaurants in the area (stick with the larger ones). The bus stop is close but you'll be doing most traveling from Ealing/Broadway station if you get the one day passes for London Underground/busses. The "Ealing" station is closer but is a different train system. The Hotel was nicely appointed and was made up daily. The front office doors are locked and secure after hours with attendants. It's an older building but the rooms were redone sometime in the past few years so they are small but look ok. The kitchen was stocked with all you need including cleaning supplies. The remote controls did not work for either TV and when requested to fix it was never done during our stay. The door to our room was a problem; It did not open fully and it was loose on its hinges causing it to slam loudly but not latch fully. You had to lift up on the door to get it to fully close. The rear balcony door had no way to lock (the key did nothing). There was a clothes washing machine under the sink but you need to hang clothes to air dry if you use it. The hotel does offer laundering at a decent rate but it takes a full two days to get it back to you so plan accordingly.

Dear n0mad001. Thank you for your review and all the information. I am pleased to read that you found the accommodation to your satisfaction. The maintenance issues have been noted and will be attended to. Regards

"No changes, no improvements."

22/06/2018

Stayed here a few days in June. All of the previous issues are still issues. Broken sleeper sofa, water issues in the bathroom, minimal staff. On the upside, it's a lot of room ... especially for London. But I dont think it was worth the money. It certainly wasn't on-par with other area 3 and 4 Star hotels like Priceline would have you believe.

Philipp W, General Manager at Best Western Maitrise Suites Apartment Hotel, responded to this review
Dear hossharris. We have a maintenance person in our Ealing hotel at that is attending regularly to any issues raised. A member of staff is there 24 hours a day which is adequate for serviced apartments.

"Wembley by Bus!"

09/01/2018

We needed somewhere to stay for a big show at Wembley Stadium and decided to go a little out of town via bus, settling on this place. It's an odd kind of place, the entrance looks a bit like a hairdressers! Our room was at the front, large and brilliant, we could have lived here for a week in London easily and quite honestly, at the price, that would be a brilliant idea! Cooking and laundry facilities, lovely bathroom and very comfortable beds. The area is very multicultural and there are some fantastic grocery shops and ethnic eateries on the doorstep. Paid parking is available behind the shops opposite the hotel at a reasonable price. There are no restaurant or bar facilities here, so no breakfast etc. We will certainly consider staying here again.

Dear aengusmum. Many thanks for your review and all the nice comments. I think you reviewed our Maitrise Hotel in Ealing rather than at Maida Vale, however, I am pleased to read that you enjoyed your stay and that you found our apartments clean and well equipped. We have just taken delivery of 17 brand new beds so i am happy to learn that you found them comfortable. Best Wishes.

Stayed here 2 days in May. Spacious equipped kitchen, living room, big bedroom and cleaned bath room. Something cozy but gorgeous!! West Ealing is bit far from city of London... but you never worry for bed bugs and stay comfortably with reasonable price. Hope to stay here again!!

Dear ??? ? Thank you for your review and I am pleased that we left a such a good impression that you remembered us back from May 2017. I am pleased to read that you found the apartments spacious, cozy and gorgeous. Best wishes

"Need Urgent Attention of Management"

2
09/12/2017

I booked this hotel for my family from 05th to 09th Nov 2017, my 04 young kids staying in this hotel, though I did not stay here personally but I was with them during most of the time as I was in Holiday inn Express, it is just across the road. Hotel location is No Doubt is really very good, but services offered to clients were nothing, there was only one person can be seen in hotel during day and another one in night, during my family's 04 night stay I got impression that the total staff of this hotel is consist on 01 person only. The Man who was at reception in evenings and nights, it seems that he knew very little English and for most of the times he just says “I don't know”. It was obviously one bedroom apartment, which they offered for 04 persons, two set in bedroom and 02 in Kitchen / Dining Hall on Sofa bed. The worst Part that Sofa bed was broken and when we complained, receptionist came upstairs, removed 02 cushions from sofa and put under the bed to balance it, this method of solving the problem was like a joke. There was No proper arrangements for Breakfast, morning reception was going out, bringing some bread, butter, yoghurt and few pieces of fruits and handing it to us as breakfast, it was our choice that how we use this stuff. Toilet water tank was not working during all stay till 3rd day when they changed us to another room, which was slightly better. Kitchen was standard and good I personally think that this hotel enjoys very good location if management give little attention to facilities and customer services they can run it very well and cause comfort to guests and earn them good profit. I honestly think this place need urgent attention and renovation.

Philipp W, General Manager at Best Western Maitrise Suites Apartment Hotel, responded to this review
Dear Zishan J. Many thanks for your review for others to be enjoyed. The apartment hotel is adequately staffed with one member of staff per shift which in turn all live in and around the area. Thank you for advising of the sofa arrangement which we shall get repaired. We have just completed a breakfast room at the back of the hotels which will be made available in January for all our returning guests to enjoy. Regards.

We were there for 4 nights. Booked a 2 room apartment for 4 adults. They provided us with one double bed and a sofa cum bed which was quite uncomfortable and would just not stand still. Upon our several requests the management used cushions under the bed to make it stable, that too the next morning. Had one bathroom where the toilet flush tank was not functioning at all. Changed the room the third day and faced a different set of problems. Rooms are small and the one with sofa cum bed had a dining table and chairs with a kitchenette making it even more congested.

Philipp W, General Manager at Best Western Maitrise Suites Apartment Hotel, responded to this review
Dear Fatima. Thank you for your review. I can confirm that we now have taken delivery of new mattresses for all rooms (17) and the feedback has been great since. Our apartments are a good size and offer modern equipment and furnishings. Regrads

"Great value for money.Would be 5/5 but one or two small issues."

02/11/2017

Stayed here during a quick trip to London in October. There were 4 or us - 2 adults and 2 young children. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment on the top floor. Here are a few thoughts - 1. Value - £129 for a night. By comparison the same night in the local Crowne Plaza was £167, the Urban Villa down the road in Brentford £209 (great by the way, but not at that price), and most Premier/Holiday Inns around the same price (but probably a half or quarter of the floor space compared with what you have here). So for the price here, you have a nicely furnished double bedroom, a large living space where the sofa converts to a sofa bed, a small but perfectly ok bathroom and a kitchen. We ate takeaway so did not really make the most of the kitchen but from my brief glance around there it seemed well equipped including a washing machine. 2. Location - on the busy Uxbridge road in West Ealing, don't visit here if you are hoping for a bit of peace and tranquillity. Anyway, having spent around 4 years living on Uxbridge road, around a mile from here (back in 2005), I was well aware of what I was getting. In our apartment the road noise was not overly intrusive from the bedroom as it was towards the back of the building. The noise of traffic including emergency vehicles was much more evident from the living area which looked directly down on Uxbridge road though I actually slept in this room a surprisingly did not seem to be too disturbed overnight. We arrived by car and surprising manage to park on the small car park at the rear ( around 6 or so spaces and a bit tight for comfort) but having read other reviews I was all prepared to park on the road/public car park anyway. Anyway, it's London so public transport is great - yards from a bus stop or walk around 15 minutes to Ealing Broadway underground. West Ealing station is also around the corner - these seemed mainly Great Western National rail services. My final thought regarding location - as a former resident of this borough, who has also lived over in East London, Ealing remains my favourite part of London - a nice little town in its own right, with decent shops, great parks, excellent transport, and it's a relatively safe place to be, even after dark. 3. So why not mark this place 5/5? Here's a few of the criticisms I have - our apartment was in the roof/attic area. It just seemed a little dull and with not much light. Despite being on a busy road (and in theory, plenty to see) the windows were too high for our kids to see out of. In many hotels they are entertained for hours just looking out of the windows. Here they seemed to become bored quite quickly. One of the windows in the living area also had no curtain or blind so I thought the light might be a bit intrusive come morning, but it was quite a dull day anyway. The wifi - maybe just me but it was one of the worst services I have ever experienced. Many sites I like browsing such as ebay or autotrader just didn't download sufficiently well to make them worthwhile. My BtMail wouldn't download, insisting my browser was out of date. Other sites came up in weird fonts on my laptop. As soon as I was home, all worked fine again. Finally, things could have been maintained a little better. There were three lights in the living area (one standing lamp, 2 roof lights), but only one of the three lights worked. I assume dud light bulbs and just decided the one light was sufficient anyway. The tv remote did not work but was fine once we put our own batteries in. The sofa bed was also really uncomfortable, but I suppose for one night you don't worry too much. The heating was also difficult to control, or just did not get very warm, but again, for one night you just get on with it. Overall, the niggles did not detract from what is basically a clean and well kept, spacious apartment offering a really useful amount of space for a similar price to the local Premier Inn.

Philipp W, General Manager at Best Western Maitrise Suites Apartment Hotel, responded to this review
Dear Andrew P. May thanks for your review. I like feedback like yours as it is constructive and personal and represents great insight to me as an Hotelier. As pointed out it is central London and as such displays every clour and facette of life there is so if you want to see Ealing this is a great spot to start. W-Fi is a general (small) issue as the apartments are difficult to reach with a public hotspot but it is something we are working on. I welcome the criticism reference the lightbulbs, batteries and other niggles - something our maintenance department will have to pick up on. Best wishes Philipp Weiss General Manager

"Good overnight stop"

17/09/2017

We were looking for an overnight stop for a family of three having visited the Natural History museum one day and heading for Kew Gardens the next. These apartments appeared to be the solution. They are clean and have a small kitchen in addition to lounge and bedroom. The lounge has a large sofabed so this worked out well for the three of us. There is also a public pay to park car park at the back which is free between 18.00-08.00, as we arrived at 18.00 and left at 10.00 this was very cheap. The only difficulty we encountered was the travel time, whilst only less than 8 miles from the museum the journey took us more than an hour. This is a busy area and the noise from the street meant that the lounge was difficult to sleep in.

Dear 101dot. Thank you for your review. I am pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us and that you found our apartments clean and well laid out for your stay. The area is extremely busy and it can become quite congested even on public transport, unfortunately this also generates city centre traffic noise. We stayed here last year as a family the room we had was spacious with fully equipped kitchen, living room, big bedroom with balcony. Breakfast included in our stay which made our stay much nicer. The hotel located near shops & 15 mins away from the tube station. We enjoyed our stay and qould definitely go back again.

"Absolutely Excellent!"

25/07/2017

We had a good reason to visit Ealing which, understandably, some people might not have. They'd miss out on a really nice cosmopolitan street with some superb ethnic food shops, excellent restaurants and friendly people. We were going to the Ealing Blues Festival - a festival with great music at £5 a day, what's not to like? Anyway, I digress. We stayed at these apartments And what a good location it was. First off, the apartment was huge and superbly equipped. For a little more than a hotel room you got a sitting room and kitchen, comfortable sofas and cooking facilities. It was all in an excellent state of repair as well. Everyone was charming and helpful from the reception desk to the cleaners. We got a discount on the parking as we were there for a couple of days. It was a bit cramped but it saved us money. One of the nice features was that the bedroom was not on the main street although the double glazing was amazingly effective in wiping out the noise of the traffic. What's more it even had a little terrace you could walk out onto and the bed was really comfortable. All in all, a great place to stay and Ealing is worth a visit. If you live like us in a boring monocultural town in the East of England it's really quite like an exotic holiday when you take in the shops and the restaurants! Highly recommended.

Myself and two friends stayed here for one night and we couldn't fault the accomodation. A really spacious apartment, comfy beds, nicely decorated and perfect for one night's accommodation on the outskirts of the city. We parked close by on the street behind the hotel which was absolutely fine and the staff were really friendly and welcoming. There are plenty of food outlets around as well so dinner and breakfast are easily catered for. I will definitely stay here again.

"Stayed for two nights whilst down in London for a concert at Wembley"

I have put average because if it hadn't been for what was in the apartments I would have put poor in terms of service etc. When we checked in the reception was obviously short staffed as whilst we were waiting for our key to be cut we had to wait for the man on reception to answer the phone and take a phone call which lasted a good few minutes. As we had just driven for four hours the last thing we wanted was to wait further especially half way through being checked in. When we got to our apartment the key card wouldn't work on the door. I went down to reception and started to explain that the key card wouldn't let us in the apartment. The phone on reception rang again and again the receptionist took the call half way through dealing with me. It was obviously the Manager and whilst the receptionist explained a couple of times during the call that he was dealing with a customer his Manager kept him talking on the phone for another few minutes. All this time my husband was waiting upstairs outside our apartment waiting for a working key card to get in to the apartment. Eventually the man at reception cut another key card and also came up with me to check it worked - it didn't, so we were told that if we wanted to go out we would have to ask the person on reception to let us into our apartment each time we wanted to go in! Once in the apartment we found it to be well equipped and clean. However, we're in the middle of some very hot days and nights and the air conditioning didn't work in the apartment. I asked the man at the desk and he did check the main panel and then came and checked in the apartment. He said it was a slow system and would work in the next 15 minutes. The air con came on about 20 minutes later and then stopped working! I rang down to reception and there had been a change over in staff and I explained that the air con was not working and the "spanner" symbol was on and flashing. He explained the main panel was saying it was working and did come up to check and did see that it wasn't working. He said that it would be fixed in the morning. We had a small fan which didn't do anything to cool the room. The next day as we were leaving to go out for the day, we were told that the Manager had been informed about the air con and was getting it fixed that day. We got back around 4pm to be told that the air con wouldn't now be fixed until Monday and that we could move apartments. The fact that we were going out again 30 minutes later didn't give us time to move and be ready to go out so again we spent a hot night in an apartment where the air con wasn't working. It also needs to be mentioned that on check in, reception do take a £50 deposit and this is not returned for three to ten days after you leave. You can pay for this by cash or card but it would be good to have been informed of this on their website . I would like to hear from the Manager to discuss my findings further as it was very disappointing that these things occurred in a chain of hotels where you don't expect below par service.

"Great apartment just a shame about the bed..."

Visit to Ealing with my husband for a friends birthday. On arrival I was asked to leave a £50 bond deposit which would be refunded on departure so please ensure you have the extra cash or a credit card. We stayed in apartment 102 which was extremely spacious. Great living areas, kitchen, bathroom with bath and shower and a bedroom. The only downfall was that the bed was uncomfortable. You could feel the springs through the bedding which did not result in a good night sleep. The reason for the 4 star rating is for Location and the overall appearance of the apartment but I couldn't give it a 5 due to the bed!

Stayed here for one night and loved it. The room is spacious and homely. The kitchen was tiny, probably only one person could fit at a time but includes all the essentials. Breakfast was included so I picked from their checklist and it was delivered right on time. Check-out is 12pm which is great! Stayed in a couple apartment hotels before and they kick you out at 10am, and charge an arm and a leg for a late check-out. Would certainly stay here again. Happy bunny!

18/05/2017

Great location, good size and very comfortable! I had a one-bedroom apartment which had a comfortable lounge and a full size kitchen plus a very good sized bathroom with a very nice "rainfall" shower! When you stay in a lot of hotels, as I do, it's really nice to find a place where you can relax, get your own breakfast & dinner and sit watching TV in comfort: this is just such a place. There are three small supermarkets close to the front door, Tesco, Co-Op and a Polish speciality but just about every third shop front is a restaurant, mainly Persian and Kurd as well as the ubiquitous Chinese & Indian if you'd rather go out. Really looking for down sides . . . . .well it is a longish walk from Ealing Broadway station (further than it looks) so you may want to get a taxi, and parking at £20 per day isn't to be recommended. The only criticism I would have is that the kitchen utensils look like they can from a rubbish skip; clean and useable but somewhat tatty. I'll go there again next time I am working in the area!

I chose this hotel for its location, access to public transport, local shops and what I presumed was a Queen-size Double Bed for my girlfriend and I. What we found was the location was fine least not plenty of places to either buy food to cook or eat out or even takeaways, there is also a wide range of banks nearby, the nearest mainline railway station (namely West Ealing) was about 5 minutes' walk whereas the nearest Tube for the District and Central lines) was a short bus ride away or about fifteen minutes' walk at a brisk pace (namely Ealing Broadway), there are also a number of supermarkets from well-known to lesser known shops including independent retailers and my girlfriend were happy with this. The apartment we had was room 304 and as soon as we went in the bedroom we realised how small if not pokey the bedroom was as there was little room on either side of the bed, the bed was two single beds joined together by a zip and the mattress/mattress cover but the mattress was not clean and there was no way my girlfriend and I could sleep in the same bed given it was too small even if we had separated the beds. If that wasn't enough the walls were not in the best condition and behind the door was a large hole where the door handle had been slammed into at some point and as such my girlfriend and I had to sleep separately as I slept on the sofa bed in the lounge. My girlfriend got very little sleep as outside the window were the fans for the heating and they went on all night and even I could hear them from the lounge, the bedroom door was closed, the bedroom door was closed and the lounge door was also closed. My girlfriend also could not sleep given the gap between the two beds. Turning to the lounge this is spacious least not it combines with an eating area and kitchenette but there is no extractor fan above the cooker and if you use the hob or oven the smells will linger in the room as there is nowhere for the smells to go unless you open a window which I will come back to shortly. The sofa bed was terrible and yes it was easy to assemble and put back in the sofa but the mattress is very thin, the mattress was stained on both sides with something like brown liquid such as tea, coffee or hot chocolate and we had to ask for some bedding such as a sheet, duvet and pillows/pillow cases which were bought to our room. I am taller than the average and given my height some of my legs and feet were outside of the duvet and I had to sleep in a curled up ball like the foetal position which I did not like least not I have a back problem and this did not help my back and yet had I slept in the bed in the bedroom this would have not gone away as the bed in the main bedroom was tiny and over half of my legs would have hung out the of the bed and it would not have been possible to sleep in a curled up ball like the foetal position. The dining area was OK but outside the window was some sort of device which I presume was a chimney of sorts and I don't know the correct name but once again this kept me awake even with the window closed least not because it was cold outside and the wind was blowing due to Storm Doris but I could also hear people outside as there is a car park and also early in the morning I could hear cars and vehicles coming and going, people on the street and I also heard a horn a few times given at the back of the hotel is the local court where prison vans were picking up or dropping off prisoners. The free and complimentary Wi-Fi only works near the window and did not work well if at all in other areas of the apartment and when my girlfriend was on her phone my tablet froze or did not connect well or stay connected and vice versa. The cupboards were fairly keen in the kitchenette as were some of the plates but the cups, cutlery and pans were not cleaned well at all and when my girlfriend and I arrived we cleaned them again and I have no idea when they were last used or cleaned by other guests or even hotel staff. Turning to the bathroom this was tiny, there is no window, the extractor fan did work but did not take or reduce any smells, the toilet did flush with a second attempt on each flush but did not clear the contents away well. The bath plug was not attached to the chain/cord and I had to winch it out with a knife as whilst I have no nails both my girlfriend and I could not get it out. The shower only produced lukewarm water and did not stay lukewarm for long, the sink plug also had to be winched out with a knife and whilst there was no cord at all it was not possible to get the plug out any other way and the mirror steamed up very quickly which meant I could not have a wet shave anywhere as there was no other place that had a mirror and a sink to do this basic task. Given I have learnt over the years when people have problems or issues it is always best to take them to the hotel or provider at the time as to waiting until after you have left and can't or don't give the hotel a chance to explain or put things right at the time. I went downstairs to speak to the person behind the desk who spoke fairly good English and I can only presume he was from Eastern Europe and he said he was “sorry “ but “there was nothing he could do” I asked him why and he just repeated “there is nothing I can do, I am the manager and nobody else has complained to me before” I did not answer back as I felt he was not able to understand or take on the issues/responsibility of the issues. Since being back at home I have contacted Best Western at their offices in York setting out the above including the Manager's response and I hope they will reply to my letter in full and explain what their version of events is/was and what they are going to do about the issues specifically and generally. All in all I think it is fair to say my girlfriend and I will not be returning to the hotel, nor will we be recommending it either to friends, family or colleagues. By all means go and have a look for yourself but a word to the wise be careful and if it helps there are other hotels such as Premier Inn and Travelodge not too far away down the road heading towards Ealing Broadway station.

First things first - Location: The hotel is right next to the subway (restaurant) on the high road, which makes it convenient if you need to be close to everything. The down side is that you can easily miss the hotel as it doesn't have any real distinguishing features like light up signs or anything, so be on the look out, especially if you are driving. The hotel offers no parking so if you are driving you will have to find unrestricted parking, but beware, there are very active and efficient parking wardens about. Within easy distance to an Iceland (supermarket) as well as Waitrose within walking distance, it's situated well. Busses and public transport are right outside and the station is a mere 10-15 minutes away (depending on how fat you walk) plenty of food shops and those who love shopping, there is something for everyone. Staff- staff are friendly and professional with a ready smile and genuine warmth. I was told at check in, about the £50 deposit you have to pay which is refunded immediately if paid by cash once you check out. They are very informative and will answer any questions quickly. The apartment - As I'm typing, I'm resting in the leather couch, my living room is clean and tidy. Very modern in design and I'm still shocked with how much space I'm in. Some of the lights don't work in the room, but it hardly matters as there are so many lights that it doesn't really effect anything. The sofa isn't the best quality as if you sit in a wrong place your body will hit wood or some type of frame work and it could be painful. The bedroom is one of the biggest I have seen, with plenty of wardrobe space and more than enough space to store belongings. Tastefully decorated and clean. The bed is super light and just brushing past it can move it, the mattress definitely needs changing as it's the old spring mattresses which let down the overall effect of modernity. If you are used to memory foam or firm mattresses like I am, you will notice the difference immediately. The bathroom is small and adequate for your needs has towels provided and a clean bath so no frills but very clean overall. The kitchen is well equipped with microwave, fridge, washing machine etc everything you would really need. I was shocked at how spacious it is, if you have a party and need to store food, this is a great place to do it. Cupboards and space galore. The apartment is quiet for the most part, strangely it's more noisy from about 5:30pm onwards than the rest of the day. The sounds of the bus engines, beeping horns, motorbikes etc does filter through but it is very so often and not constant at all. There are a few pigeons that perch on the window sills but they are outside so you don't need to worry about them getting in. There is a breakfast menu but this is basic and not really worth the £8.95. Only the continental is accessed onsite, you have to go a few doors down to a nearby cafe to get a hot breakfast (full english) so it's not really worth the trouble in my estimation. I will order food and let it come to the room and that will be good enough for now. There is no onsite restaurant so you have to go to the local shops and restaurants for food in general. Not an issue as hey happen to be next door and a few minutes away. No room service either though, which is something I do like when in a hotel. For what I paid for this apartment (£50) a night, i am staying for 2 nights and I am getting more than my money's worth. I would definitely stay here again. If they change the mattresses to a better quality and put up some lighting on the outside of the hotel, then this hotel will be hard to beat, even with the lack of parking. As I am solo, safety is a major concern and I feel safe at this hotel and all my needs are taken care of. I like this hotel a lot. You can have guests in the apartments until 11:30pm then they have to leave, so this could be a great place to have little get together and pamper sessions on a budget.

Amazing apartment, we only had the studio which was apparently the smallest but it was enormous. Extremely well designed and everything you need for a comfy stay. The bed was so comfortable. The bathroom large and the shower great. The kitchen was well decked out and there's a Siansburys 50 yards down the road. You're right in the middle of the broadway so easy to get everywhere. Would definitely stay there again. Highly recommended.

Recently stayed at the apartments, location is spot on, very welcoming staff, apartment was clean and spacious with all the luxury of feeling homily, would of received 5 stars but I felt the kitchen was starting to look a bit tired with a door missing from the front of the washing machine and the noise from the bedroom was slightly annoying (think this was the air con units outside the apartment) wasn't a major issue. Would I stay here again....? 100% Yes. G

"Not sure how anyone can give this place a 4 star!"

1
01/01/2017

First of all...it's not convenient to anything.....run down...looks ok from perhaps a distance. The list of things that were less then adequate for a $370/night price tag! No typo there...we unfortunately got taken for a ride with this one! Would have walked right back out the door when we got to hotel but unfortunately paid in advance on Hotwire (which had a 4 star rating!) and had "no refunds" posted on our reservations! Made the best of it...but hate that we paid so much for so little!! Shower nozzle squirted everywhere because it was cheap plastic...that had split down the middle! Had a hole in kitchen where it looked like a dishwasher might have been...only to find it filled w a broken clothes washer the second day! I guess they figured something was better then nothing! I would assume having something that was working! Lots of broken things in room...lights held on with tape...broken drawers....just shoddy cheap hotel! "queen" bed is actually two singles pushed together with a seam down the middle! Not comfortable at all! Pullout couch...springy and sleeping on floor might be more comfortable! Heat...almost none existent...cold cold cold room! Wifi....absolute garbage! Asked front desk if they were having issues with it since we couldn't get adequate signal in room even to check email...girl suggested if we wanted to use wifi to sit in lobby! Paying the amount of money we paid I should be able to sit in my room! Ridiculous! Asked front desk how far airport was....so we could plan accordingly! Answer "I don't know...maybe 30 minutes but that's really a guess!" Seriously...I didn't ask him to solve some calculus problem...I asked a real simple question that any front desk worker at a hotel should be able to answer. Lastly...walls unbelievable yucky! Take a look at the hand prints and grime on the walls...things like this say a lot about a hotel...whether they are well maintained or just made to look it! This hotel has a long way to go to be a 2 star never mind a 4 star! Can't finish this review without talking about the smell.....constant smell of fried chicken and subway...fills your room. Not appealing at all. Please don't waste your money like we did....too much money that makes me sick. Awful hotel....bad staff and worse location!

"Nice apartment "

Firstly it took us a long time finding this hotel, no one had heard of it. The apartment was nice, had everything in the kitchenette. The sofa bed was horrible, very springy mattress... me and my friends got ill...as it was very cold also we had to take very cold showers as the shower was not running hot water. We called for someone to take a look but got told it is what it is and that the maintenance guy will come next week! Well we won't be here next week! I asked to speak to a manager, but got told there was no manager as he had been promoted and isn't here . Well, ok ...so we suffered for three days and got ill! Personally I wouldn't go and stay in this apartment again...it was noisy and the cold water situation has put me off. Plus the location...we had to walk a fair bit to get to the tube station and it was abit of trek to get to central.

Stayed for 4 days and was very pleasant. Staff are friendly and was clean. Breakfast croissant was not good though, and only continental. These are self catering apartments and so there is no restaurant facility. The London Underground is a fair distance away but West Ealing overground station is walkable (5 minutes).

We arrived before the check in time, but we were given the opportunity to leave our luggage in storage until the room was available. We went for lunch, then returned to put our luggage in our room -- and we were stunned. Our room "one night in Paris" room 101 was a beautifully appointed room with a full kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and living area. It even had laundry facilities! It was on a busy road, but that road got quite for the evening. We were treated well, we'd highly recommend a stay at the Maitrise. The neighbourhood was really highly ethnically diverse, with an amazing amount of restaurants.

We arrived a little early for our check in but the front desk clerk let us store our luggage until our room was available. So we went for lunch and then came back to put our luggage into our room. We were not sure what to expect, but we didn't think we'd get a room quite like this! IT WAS AMAZING!

This hotel lobby was quite small and it's easily missed. It is located in a area surrounded by Persian supermarkets and restaurants. For the rate we paid breakfast included, I have no complain except for the ridiculously slow internet, lol! The apartment is clean and service is good.

Stayed here for one week with my family. The apartment we had was very nice and it was taken care of all our needs. There was one master bedroom, kitchen, livingroom where the was a sofa bed and there did my two Children sleep. In the bathroom ther was a bathtube. The location is great, 15 minutes away from Ealing Brodway tube station if you walk to it. The bus stop only 4 minutes walk away. From Ealing Brodway to central London ( Zone 1 ) with the tube take about 30 minutes depending of where you want to go. The staff is very serviceminded and helpful.

We stayed for two nights , there were three of us plus baby and toddler. It suited our needs very well. Staff on the desk were very helpful and friendly. I didn't think the area was too bad, people in general were very kind and chatty. A few things definitely need addressing, such as the mattress on the pull out bed which was horrendously uncomfortably and the duvet was very lumpy. The cupboard door on the washing machine was hanging off which could have hurt our toddler, and the bath was extremely slippery ( needed a bath mat). A few more additions to the kitchen i.e. a sharper knife, wouldn't have gone amiss, plus wine glasses. Lovely fruit and veg shop close by and Tesco express within easy reach. West Ealing underground station closer than Ealing Broadway.

We stayed for 2 nights in June 2016. Had no problems getting there from Gatwick (about an hours travel on train/tube/cab). On arrival, staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room we had was excellent with plenty of space. Ideal as we are with a 9 and 7 year old. They and we were able to relax without being crowded into a single room. Ealing is a nice enough area with shops easily available. We bought our own food so can't comment on the breakfast. Wifi was good. The rooms were clean. We would definitely stay here again when visiting London.

Stayed for four nights. Staff friendly and helpful. Very near Kilburn Park tube so you can get anywhere in Central London very easily. Continental breakfast was good. Shower pressure excellent. Fridge in the room...nice touch. Cleanliness is its downfall. Leftovers from previous guest. Carpets in the room looked like they needed an "industrial" clean and the throw over the bed was stained and marked and should go straight to the bin. 4 star hotel....nope. Average 3 star.

The Maitrise Suites are hidden in Ealing, but what a little find. There is a car park around the back (over-looking magistrate's court and fully covered by CCTV so felt pretty secure) which they charge £20 for, for the duration of your stay - good value I thought. The apartments themselves are lovely. Very spacious. The two bed apartment has a single bed in one room, a double bed in another and a double pull out bed settee in the lounge. Kitchen is really well-equipped with microwave, cooker, utensils, even a washing machine. Downside to the apartment - the lounge had a little balcony off to the side, and double windows over-looking the car park; neither door could be opened as they needed a key and the staff would not let us have one - this is a real shame as it would have been lovely to sit on the balcony and also to let some air into the lounge area. One of our group slept in the lounge and had the smell of food in there all night with her (not nice). Only a very tiny window in there, so it's not great. When we got there, the cleaners were still in the room at 2.45 pm, which was a bit of a pain, having been told we could be in from 2.00 pm. The bathroom was lovely, big bath, shower, even a wet room area. Staff were mixed - some were lovely, others a bit grumpy and one was none-existent. I waited 10 minutes for him to come back to his desk on leaving as I wanted to add my points to my card - but he was nowhere to be found. We stayed and went into Twickenham (£22 by cab) - the next morning we had a lovely walk around the small park opposite; and into town. Overall, I'd stay there again. It's reasonably priced for 4 of you and a little out of town. It was comfortable and clean and if they'd let you open the windows it would be even nicer (especially since they advertise it as having a balcony!).

"Decent place to stay but no frills"

3
29/04/2016

Staff are friendly and helpful. The apartment was spacious and clean with comfortable seating and TV etc. I chose self catering deliberately and the kitchen has an oven and microwave. However only very tiny dishes so you can only microwave a ready meal in its own packet. The real issue was the bedding which was a very old feather quilt. The feathers were just in lumps leaving you sleeping under just the cover. To be fair when I complained a better quilt was produced the next day but not before I had had very bad nights sleep. It is a long walk to Broadway Ealing tube especially with a suitcase but you can take the bus. Overall I would only recommend if you are in this neighborhood or have plenty of time for travel

"CANCELLING BOOKING WITHOUT INFORMING!!!"

17/04/2016

Last Friday my friend and I, wanted to spend the night in The Mairrise Suites Broadway54, 51 West Ealing, and as any person in 2016 would do, we went online booked online, paid online, through YOUR OWN WEBSITE. and got the below confirmation of payment, and confirmation of booking, we took the train all the way from east london, to get to west Ealing, ONLY to find out that, IT WAS CANCELLED! we have NOT cancelled anything. we couldn't even if we wanted to. your staff FAILED To help nor come up with any solution, more over they were borderline rude, though it was YOUR FAULT. not ours, that we have a booking we got there after a night out to find no place for us and not a decency to find us a solution!!!!! we went out roaming for a hotel in the area. your staff said the transaction didnt happen, but your confirmation is otherwise. you need to find a solution and re-pays for this.!

"Disappointing "

3
01/03/2016

Stayed at the apartments while on business, the apartment itself is lovely in terms of presentation and space, it was also clean however its let down by some simple basics, unable to get wifi to work in the apartment, zip lock beds with a significant gap down the middle means you sleep perched on the edge preventing a goods night sleep, sofa in lounge looks lovely but has a big dip when you sit on it so its very uncomfortable, kitchen is poorly equipped 4 small bowls and plates a couple of pans, not a single wine glass etc if you were staying only to use as a base socially its fine but for a business trip the facilities are problematic

"Overnight stay"

01/03/2016

Myself and the 2 lads booked this hotel for one night on the 29th of February for a night over from Ireland. The price per night was great considering it was London and not too far away from the tube station. Room was perfect for the 3 of us and the added extra of the kitchen which was dead handy. Staff were all helpful especially Alex on reception who pointed us in the right direction for us to get a few drinks late on a Sunday night. Highly recomended

"(Almost) Perfect"

29/01/2016

So 3 of us stayed her for 3 nights mid January and couldn't really fault it. Lovely staff, tasteful decor and good value for money. The only down sides are if you're staying for a central London break its a 15-20 min walk to the tube (Northfields), it's on a busy high street, and, as has been mentioned smells slightly of fast food due to its location. There are definitely more pros than cons though and I would stay here again. Particular mention should be to Moin on the front desk who couldn't be more helpful and even allowed us to print off our attraction tickets. Overall a lovely, well equipped apart hotel!

"Hotel too good for the area"

08/01/2016

I spent 2 nights at the hotel at the end of last year. The 2 bed apartment allocated to me, had a kitchenette, and a lounge area. It was tastefully decorated with a large TV. There was a washing machine, microwave, fridge, kettle etc. The staff were all fantastic, and couldn't do enough for us. The only issue was the cost of parking £20, but you can park behind the hotel at the council parking lot for £10/24hrs. On the whole an excellent choice.

"Amazing staff!!"

01/01/2016

Stayed here for NYE - last night! Couldn't thank the staff enough! Me and my partner have never been to London before so we didn't know how to get around- the staff went above and beyond printing out maps and directions for us to use. When we arrived we were asked for a security deposit of £50 which we got back when we checked out - just in case you aren't expecting it. The suite was gorgeous and very modern and not too far from the centre of London! Air conditioning was fab! I would definitely stay here again, brilliant staff, beautiful sweet and lovely fry up in the morning!!

"Amazing hotel"

19/11/2015

amazing big rooms with kitchen and bathroom, and amazing staff. I was really surprised as it from the street doesn't look like nothing special. So was very pleased with everything, every day new towels etc. which surprised me positively (we were 4 people in the same room for a very cheap price booked through some of those internet pages). Busses, shops and restaurants just outside the door, underground is 20 min. by foot to Ealing. I was all in all really amazed by the whole thing :) (only minus is that the wifi is pretty slow, and many times throw you of the network, but that is at least something to survive when adding up all the positive things) Will surely come back :)

First of all the bad news - the £20 charge for car parking imposed at this hotel is far too high a charge and seems to be more of a profit making activity rather than a fair charge that reflects the benefits of the car park which after all is just a pull in area at the rear of the apartments. Yes I know that cars are parked under CCTV but the car park opposite is also covered by CCTV, is free between 6pm and 8am and only £10 for a whole day. And now the good news - the apartment I was given was fabulous, spotlessly clean and had all of the equipment I needed for my stay including fridge, oven and microwave. Mind you, I didn't use the washing machine as I didn't have my wife with me but at least it was there! The outside of the hotel just doesn't do credit to the apartments so don't be put off by that. Hopefully the other apartments are just as good as I would certainly stay here again.

Stayed in a one bedroom apartment which was clean and had everything you needed, the bed was single beds pushed together, comfy enough but didn't like the duvet ! Had continental breakfast one morning which is brought to your room it was ok, the other mornings we got a voucher and went to cafe for cooked breakfast. A 20 min walk to the tube station, but bus stop close by with frequent buses that stop near station. The staff were always very polite and helpful. .

The location of the hotel is just perfect as it is just two minutes walk from the station. The room is a tad small though. Breakfast is simple but good enough. My room is a basement room and there is a flight of stairs to manage. Will need help if you have a huge luggage.

Stayed here for 2 nights this week and we had an amazing time! Apartment was great. Nice and big with everything you need as well as very clean. Location is brilliant not far from 2 underground stations which you can either walk too or hop on any bus. Would definitely go back and stay again!

This is my first time staying in this part of London and also a first best western hotel for me, i wasn't sure what to expect especially with the price i paid for a one room apartment but i was pleasantly surprised. First off it is excellent value for money, its location is superb, really with all the shops and Broadway mall nearby you would hardly need to go into central London for shopping. Getting into central London is also easy with Ealing broadway station just a 15 minute walk away or you can take the bus if the walk is too much. There is an indian/Pakistani restaurant opposite that serves some of the best curries i have ever tasted and a salon also opposite that does perfect african hair styles. The rooms are spacious and the kitchen well equipped, the ladies who do the cleaning are always very nice and cheerful. Mr Moin is a very good front desk manager and made our stay worthwhile with all his helpfull tips. I enjoyed my stay there and would certainly book this hotel again. its great, great value for money!

I'm writing my second review of this hotel, where we stayed for six nights in August 2015. Our first stay here was for a week back in October 2012. Then, we stayed in the James Bond suite (with the outdoor hot tub), but this time, we stayed in room3 305, the Diva Suite, which had pictures of female singers hanging on the wall. Aside from the long hallway, the suite comprises of a living room (with a sofa bed), a separate kitchen (excellent), the main bedroom, a bathroom (a bit on the small side for a family), and an airing cupboard. We found this a much preferable arrangement than the James Bond suite where the kitchen was part of the sitting area, although it did have a larger bathroom. We very much enjoyed our stay here (6 nights). In addition: - Staff are very friendly and welcoming. The cleaning staff also do a very good job. - It has excellent transport facilities right outside the hotel, with buses going to Ealing Broadway (10 minutes by bus, or 20 minutes by foot), trains to Paddington from West Ealing (10 minutes by foot). - There are plenty of shops and supermarkets to purchase food if you prefer to cook, otherwise you are spoilt for choice if you prefer to eat or to buy a takeaway, especially if you like Lebanese/Middle Eastern food. I do have some quibbles: - neither of the TV remotes worked in the living room or main bedroom, even after changing the batteries - as previously stated, the bathroom was a bit small for a family, but fine for a couple - if you sleep in the living room, where the sofa bed is located, the outside noise especially at night will either keep you awake or the police sirens will wake you up. The room faces the main street. and each night, there must have been 3 or 4 police sirens. I thought that one of the room windows had been left open, but the two vellum windows were shut, but the one single-glazed window was probably allowing all the noise in. bring some ear plugs, which is what I resorted to. The hotel should soundproof this window really. - The decor is starting to look a little tired, and would do with a bit of brightening up, or tidying. Despite my negatives above, we really enjoyed our stay. It is excellent value for money, great links into Central London, and a vibrant are for shopping, eating out, etc.

Stayed in that hotel fo 4 nights with my family, nice and clean small appart. Friendly staff, conciergerie free of charge, near all amenities, an approx. 10 mns walk to tube station, WIFI available Free of charge, the only problem the noise , could have a better insulated windows. As we were 4 poeple we had only 2 chairs available, but not a big deal could use the sofa bed. Well I could stay again in this hotel.

Apartments were nice but the stay in all was let down by many things. Firstly, I rang the reception at approximately 11:00pm to enquire about food and drink being brought to the room when we returned around 30 minutes later. I was told that this service was not in place at the hotel and nothing would be available to us when back at the apartment. We returned (after spending half an hour looking for food and drink) to discover a menu in the apartment, stating the provision of the required service until 1am. Although this service (I was later told) was not provided directly by the apartment company themselves, I was still mislead and angry after needlessly walking around to find a source of food and drink at this time of night. Secondly, early Saturday morning around 3am, a mouse ran into the apartment and into the bathroom when I was in there!!!! It was a shock and also made me question where it had come from/how it entered the room. I certainly would not expect this from somewhere I was staying and it made us feel uncomfortable from then on. Certainly NOT what you would expect from such an establishment. Lastly, the quilt we were provided with on our apartment bed had a stain on the bottom of what looked like blood. It was not on the cover, but the quilt itself. The mark was most definitely not from us ourselves and as I went to reception to tell staff, I received a new quilt from a very unhelpful staff member who was probably just upset I had interrupted his late night video watching and having his feet up on the lobby front desk! Also, to top it off, the wifi we were assured to be provided with did not work, causing further problems. I left the apartment feeling very dissatisfied with my experience and feeling we had wasted money. When I returned home I emailed the hotel 5 times and have been IGNORED completely. This has angered me as I feel the hotel can just ignore me and I will go away. I am so upset that I cannot even get a response, leading to me writing this review.
