"lovely stay"

20/07/2018

Rooms in annexe are lovely i have not stayed in main hotel. lovely terrace to sit out in the evening. Staff are friendly and go the extra mile. Rooms are spacious. Breakfast is really good. I have stayed in many hotels in London in the past 6 months and thus is by far the best I book in there every week now.

"Loved our stay at Best Western Chiswick Palace"

The staff, breakfast, amenities and room were all first class. We enjoyed our stay very much. The assistant manager was most helpful, giving us tips about the area, making sure we had what we needed for our room etc. The hotel is convenient to lots of restaurants, parks and the underground stations.

Sammy Kumar (the General Manager) and his team were quite simply amazing. I am a Quality Management Specialist, and this was a first class experience / stay in my opinion, which was delivered to me by Mr Kumar and his team, a very slick seamless professional process, demonstrating great management and operation of management systems by Mr. Kumar and his team. Mr. Kumar was especially helpful, friendly, polite, courteous, respectful, warm welcoming and extremely professional, all the qualities that you would wish for, from a top manager. The room / studio apartment was amazing, very luxurious, spotlessly clean, with great amenities complete with a lounge, cooking area, extremely large comfortable beds hot shower and massive floor space, which is very rare for London. The breakfast was very tasty, there was plenty of it, lots of choice and variety with options for a continental or a traditional full breakfast was on offer. Thank you, to you and your team Mr Kumar for a wonderful stay, I will definitely be back next time I am in the Chiswick area and will recommend you, your staff and this hotel to my friends and work colleagues.

"Decent hotel with reasonable facilities"

The room I had was in an out building on the ground floor where there was a skip outside the window. I'm not sure if there was building work or maintenance being carried but workmen were around carrying out duties around this building. The bed-sit style room contained a lovely bed, some nice chairs and a kitchen area all decorated to a very high standard. I'm not entirely sure the double glazing did it's job in filtering out the traffic noise from the busy road outside. There was a really big HD tv in the room mounted in a great position on wall and two air conditioning units - one for the main room and one for the bathroom which worked really well. A lavish bathroom experience but I couldnt get the shower head to go any higher on the pole so had to duck to ensure the water poured over me. These are all minor snags and I'm assuming this room/building has recently been converted or refurbished so there may be a few minor snags to sorts out like a grill missing from the air conditioning unit.

BWChiswickLondon, General Manager at Best Western Chiswick Palace & Suites, responded to this review
Dear DJLeeKee Thank you for your review. The new building catering for long let customers has only recently been completed with some minor points needing attention, thank you for your comments, we will be sure to check these when completing our final building checks. We note you were upgraded from a standard room to the new luxury studios and so it is surprising to hear you found the hotel and facilities to be "decent and reasonable". We constantly receive exceptional feedback and 5-star reviews regarding our hotel and services and hope in future you will choose to stay with us again. Management.

"Nice location, good value"

12/07/2018

We stayed her for three nights (my daughters and I) for some quick sight seeing in London. My goal was to find a convenient location where 3 could sleep in a room and it wouldn't break the bank. I'm also not a fan of roughing it too much when I'm not staying in the developing world. This was a great spot. We took the Train from Heathrow into the city and then took the Undergound District line to Turnam Green which what a short 5 -7 minute walk to the hotel. AT first blush the neighborhood might seem a little sketchy but after spending a few days there we felt very comfortable that it was just a nice non-touristy neighborhood. The front desk staff assured us we were safe jogging in the area and walking to the train at any hour. Our check in was seamless. The gave us a nice size room for three (Queen bed w/ a twin) that was clean, though basic. The bathroom was nice with good hot water and nice pressure but it was very small. Who cares?! We were not there for a spa experience! Be forewarned there were no bathroom amenities and no wash clothes (for the Americans.) In the lobby there was 24 hour tea, coffee and hot chocolate and in the room an electric tea pot/cups and biscuits. There was a buffet breakfast for about 7.95 pounds which we did not take. There were plenty of places near by for breakfast (including a Starbucks!- Yikes!) The front desk was very helpful with getting us all we needed, including lend us a current adapter (as ours was not working.) We found the location very convenient and took the underground absolutely everywhere. For the price it was fantastic and we would definitely stay here again. PS- as for air conditioner: It was ok, Not great, but we weren't sweating at night.

Excellent hotel! Great hotel in very good location. Close to tube and plenty of restaurants easily walked to. Room was clean and very comfortable. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful with great suggestions for tours and transportation, restaurants and tips. Would definitely return!

All was great except I wished for a quieter room. Walls are thin so could hear upstairs bathroom water running through pipes, and my door and window were right next to a loud self-closing external door. I was in a tiny single room, so I'd say the bathroom would be very hard to move around in if the door were closed.

Dear LoveTheCoastline Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback, we are pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay with us. This inexpensive (for London) hotel is first class, spotlessly clean, good breakfast, and above all outstanding front desk service especially from Soren who was beyond helpful & also the charming Karolina. I will definitely stay there again.

Great location - big choice of restaurants on doorstep. Near the tube. Free parking. Great outdoor patio area. Clean and comfortable room. High end furnishings. Annexe rooms are exceptionally nice and large. Coffee machine and ice available 24 hours plus tea and coffee making facilities in room. Staff very helpful and friendly. Good air conditioning. Would be nice to have a fridge in the room.

I would highly recommend this hotel. It is the second time i have stayed here for easy access to local events. The family rooms are very good value. Have the excellent breakfast which has a lot of choice and fresh seasonal fruit. Could be improved by dececent coffee and fresh milk.

Fantastic location. Clean and modern. Easy to find won free parking. Staff friendly. Had a great patio area for the annex we were in which was fantastic extra space especially as we were on the ground floor. Would highly recommend.

28/06/2018

From the moment we arrived to check in, it was clear to me that this hotel was going to be a winner. The staff were incredibly helpful, funny and polite, the buffet style breakfast is all you could ever ask for and well worth opting for and the bar has a wide array of refreshing treats too. The bed was so comfortable we could hardly bear to leave! Chiswick is one of our favourite places to visit and we would very highly recommend wandering around the high street and checking out the local cafes, bars and restaurants. There are great links via bus and tube into other parts of London too!

"Fantastic personalised service"

18/06/2018

Such wonderful staff at this hotel who clearly love to make you feel welcome and I can't praise them highly enough particularly Soren and Sammy. Stayed here when my brother suffered a heart attack outside the hotel and Soren sorted everything and looked after my brother's belongings, booked extra rooms for myself and sister-in-law while we needed to be near the hospital, kept us informed about the incident. We felt so cared for. Thank you so much. The rooms themselves were spotless, comfortable beds, lovely breakfast, good location and nice restaurants nearby. Fantastic all round.

18/06/2018

I have got to say for the price we paid for two nights, the cost was very reasonable through booking.com. We arrived and managed to get a parking space at the front of hotel which was free. A big plus point in London as parking can be a nightmare! Fantastic check in smooth and easy with polite staff. Foyer looked fresh and clean, we were pleasantly suprised. Brekfast was extra so we opted to get our own. Shown to our room 1 double bed two single beds which were in a lovely modern huge room. Beds were clean and comfy and we all had good quality towels. Air con worked perfectly well, as there was only a small window so it was a godsent it was there, as the room got quite hot. Bathroom was tiny but adequate as the room was so big. Great shower and toiletries. Tea coffee kettle and biscuits. Plenty of wardrobe space etc. Location is fab Chiswick is a vibrant place. Tube and bus stop not far. We had tube into London and used uber inbetween. One of the best hotels we have stayed in in London for the price. Would recommend this place and would definatly stay here again. Fantastic.

"Second time staying"

18/06/2018

This hotel is just great in a lovely location. I have stayed here before and will stay here again. This time we had a King room in the other building. it was huge with a gorgeous bathroom, a huge bed and the added bonus of wifi & air con! Chiswick is a lovely area and we used the hotel to explore all of London. Great tube links into the West End and other areas. We had breakfast on this trip on the both days and it was very nice. Continental and full english with a lot of choice.

My husband was staying here when he had a heart attack outside the hotel. The staff coped magnificently - they really helped to save his life. I stayed here while he was recovering in hospital, and no-one could have been more sympathetic or caring. In addition the hotel is spotless, the rooms have everything you need, the breakfast is excellent and the rates very reasonable. There is even a garden. I would recommend it highly.

"Ruined Wedding anniversary "

14/06/2018

I booked one night at this hotel for my self and my wife on our wedding anniversary. We arrived at this hotel, only to be told that they had cancelled our booking, due to a problem pre authorising our card, we had selected to pay for our stay at the time of the stay, however the hotel tried to pre authorise our card 2 days before our arrival, and could not do it, so they just cancelled the booking! The hotel say that they informed expedia of this, however expedia state that they have no record of the hotel contacting them. As an added bonus, the hotel was full! apart from one single room, which was offered to us for the same price as the double that we had booked. As we were on a tight schedule for a sporting event, we had no option but to accept the single room, and I ended up sleeping on a mattress on the floor whilst my wife slept in the bed, "happy anniversary"!!! To be fair the staff were very apologetic and offered us breakfast at no charge, but I do not feel this made up for the inconvenience caused. Also to note, whilst we were trying to sort this out, there were 2 other people in the exact same position as us, having had their bookings cancelled. Be aware!!!!

I have stayed at the Chiswick Palace Suites for many years, in fact even before it belonged to Best Western group. Under the new management these past few years it has improved each stay that I have visited . The deputy manager Soren Back has been part of the reason I return very welcoming, he was born to do the job! Very professional but personable & always wants your stay to be a good one.As a lone traveller you are definitely looked after . Also the breakfasts are hugely improved. Well done !

"Pleasant surprise at the beautiful interior of this hotel - totally unexpected"

06/06/2018

I don't normally write reviews for hotels but I felt I had to on this occasion. It was my Husbands birthday last month and we decided to go to out for a nice meal, a show in London and book a hotel for a night away. My Husband booked this place - he told me he had booked the Best Western in Chiswick and straight away I thought 'ergh a cheap motel!' - I have stayed at beautiful hotels across countries including Corinthia London, Hiltons, Marriotts etc etc.. Well...... we arrived and I couldn't believe the beautiful interior which looks like it has recently been refurbished. Absolutely delighted. A great check in, lovely staff. The décor throughout was lovely. Entered our room, again, they had gone above and beyond and the room and bathroom were modern and very clean. Extras like the tea coffee and biscuits are always a nice touch. We had breakfast too, it ended at 10am and we didn't wake until 9.45am - the staff offered to plate us up a breakfast which we could go down for when ready. I really would recommend this hotel, location is perfect with a car park also free of charge. We will definitely be visiting again. Just goes to show.. don't judge a book by its cover!

"Convenient, cheap and comfortable"

03/06/2018

I found this hotel whilst looking for somewhere to stay when I visited Twickenham for the London 7s event. As it was an all day event, I needed somewhere the night before that could be used as a nearby base, on a budget, but that offered value for money. In Best Western I got exactly what I wanted. A double room on a Saturday night cost me £65 (half the price of a west end hotel), it's situated halfway between Turnham Green and Stamford Brook on the district line so very convenient for the journey westwards the following morning, and the staff couldn't be more friendly. The room was a decent size and well stocked. I didn't try any of the hotel facilities as I was out very early on the Sunday but they offer plenty.

"Great location, lovely rooms, good value and so close to Central London......"

02/06/2018

Really impressed with all elements to this hotel, we drove and the parking is complimentary, the location of the hotel is close to the underground, lots of restaurants and cafes near by, excellent value and very welcoming staff. Highly recommend! Service, rooms and sleep quality - 4 Stars!

"Good value, good position"

01/06/2018

Very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the hotel and the helpfulness of the staff. The breakfast was very good value. We found the tube close and easy to get to central London. On return three is a good variety of shops and restaurants in easy walking distance.

"Putting the BEST into Best Western"

30/05/2018

We (Myself and My Wife My Wife Lizzie Bum) used this Hotel when we visited a convention in Kensington, London. The staff were incredibly helpful, especially the Duty Manager, (I think his name was spelt Soreno? But he really is one of the most helpful Australians and Hoteliers that I have ever met). The breakfast was both fresh and filling and had a great choice for every dietary need. And they have a well stocked bar (I recommend the prosecco which you can take to the rear garden and enjoy sipping watching the Sun go down). Parking is limited, but if you book ahead, they reserve you a space without any issue. The hotel itself is well located for restaurants and nightlife or, if the need takes you, commuting into London for a spot of sightseeing. I would highly recommend this place to stay for both UK residents and tourists wishing to see more of the London capital. And both me and Lizzie Bum look forward to staying here again very soon!

Victorian charm in West London. ? The Best Western Chiswick Palace & Suites is conveniently located on Chiswick High Road. That means you'll be just half an hour away from Central London and Heathrow Airport. So if you want to enjoy all the capital has to offer, or even jet off and see the world, this hotel is just the place to stay. In a beautiful and trendy suburb in West London, the Best Western Chiswick Palace and Suites is also close to Kew Gardens. You'll have the best of both worlds - so close to the bright lights of Londons shopping and nightlife, yet worlds away from the hustle and bustle when you return to the hotel and its tree-lined setting. For the sports fans amongst our guests, we're just a drop kick away from Twickenham, while Wembley is also nearby. If that's not your thing, The Hammersmith Apollo and its regular comedy gigs certainly will be! ? In 2016 had a pleasure to run this property as a General Manager with some great changes included upgraded breakfast, higher booking.com customer feedback satisfaction, upgrading linen and bedding. Great place to stay!

"Unautorised charges on our account"

1
23/05/2018

Stay was fine but we have an open investigation from our bank for charges on our credit card from the hotel. They claim that we had breakfast although the reason for our stay in London in the first place was a breakfast and show for my partners birthday elsewhere. Despite disagreements from calling the hotel, the hotel maintains that we did, although they do not have a process of getting someone to sign, or any checks for guests who charge things to the room. Hoping to have the issue resolved soon.

Dear Sir We have checked our system and we are unable to locate a reservation under your name nor do we have any records or emails relating to your name/query. Please contact us at [email protected] to confirm your name and the hotel where you have booked to verify. Regards Management.

Great weekend away with Mum. Hotel perfect distance from town (15 min to be rode and 5 min walk). Hotel staff welcoming and friendly, the room was a good size for a twin. The beds were comfortable and the room was immaculate and bathroom clean with a great shower, perfect after a day walking around London.

"Inconsistent"

11/05/2018

I have stayed several times...some experiences good others not. The quieter rooms are fine. The new annexe is terrible. Everything done on the cheap...totally inadequate glazing on the windows so the all night traffic and general street noise is deafening, cheap mattress, tv so small you can only watch it from few feet away. Towels from previous guest were still in the bathroom Basement rooms are poky and seemingly a fire risk...only one exit stairs and no escape from the light well. Sadly this hotel is always full so any complaints will be ignored as the demand exceeds the supply...so why bother. Would be nice if the management would address these issues.

BWChiswickLondon, General Manager at Best Western Chiswick Palace & Suites, responded to this review
Dear Araminta945 Thank you for your review. We are most disappointed and surprised to hear of your unsatisfactory experience in addition to the comments regarding the room and housekeeping. We do not appear to have your record in our system or a complaint log regarding these matters, we therefore kindly urge you to contact us directly so we may have the opportunity to investigate further and offer a resolution. "LONDON TRIP IN CHISWICK"

5
08/05/2018

We based ourselves this time in Chiswick as wanted to be outside central London. The hotel looks like it has been recently refurbished and in fact the outside was being painted during our stay (4-8 May). We received a very warm welcome on arrival and our room was 212 which was small and in the attic (velux window) but was immaculate and great bathroom with shower cubicle (inc body wash and shampoo inside cubicle - great touch). The room service was great. This room looked onto Chiswick High Road which can be a bit noisy if light sleeper, but didn't really bother us. Chiswick is very nice area with great selection of bars and restaurants, cafes and shops. We walked to Kew Gardens (approx. 40 mins) and got bus back. Would come back to this hotel next time we come to London as it is very good quality and is bit cheaper than the central London hotels was have stayed in in the past. We didn't have breakfast but it was only £7.50 which is lot cheaper than other hotels.

"A Great Place to Stay In West London"

07/05/2018

I have stayed at this property many times over the past 12 years. This time was a last minute getaway break for one night during the Bank Holiday weekend. The booking experience with Miguel was professional speedy and accurate. At check in, Koronia was extremely polite and welcoming, and did everything she could do to speed up the preparation of our room even though we arrived early. The room was clean, comfortable and well equipped. We had a great day in Central London, and a great night in the local bars and restaurants in Chiswick. If you have not stayed at the Chiswick Palace & Suites, I cannot recommend it enough.

03/05/2018

A good budget hotel on the west side of London. I always try to stay here when I travel to London monthly Basic rooms that are clean, and comfortable. The staff is always friendly, and willing to make sure my stay is pleasant . Its about 10 minute walk to the tube, and 30 minutes to the city center. The area has a variety for food choices close by.

"Would definitely stay again "

Excellent value for money had a room in annex spotlessly clean and comfortable . Parked right next to annex but space limited Breakfast good choices of continental food and buffet style English selection

"USED to be great NOT ANYMORE"

01/05/2018

I have stayed here for the last time. The management has changed and they have purchased some adjoining houses and turned every room into a bedroom NO MATTER HOW SMALL. They tried send me to the 2nd floor (no lift) to a room that was 8 square metres. New management does not seem to understand the hotel business. The attitude get the booking on the internet deduct the credit card and put them in anywhere. Such a pity as this was one of the best hidden secrets in London. Not now, Paddington style owners and attitude

"Very Good Hotel"

The position and parking at the hotel was ideal for attending a friend's wedding activities. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful with local advice and assistance. The ground-floor king sized room was spotless and much appreciated by two oldies with some mobility problems. Breakfast was excellent. We'll be returning.

"Easter Break"

4
25/04/2018

Our first stay at the Best Western, Chiswick over 3 nights during the Easter Bank Holiday. On first impressions when you enter the reception the hotel is good, it's very clean and quite modern. We thought we were staying in a room within the main building, however we was informed we were around the corner in a flat! At first this didn't sit well with us and as it was raining we thought we would have to walk from the main car park in the rain to our room, fortunately you could actually park direct outside the door. The room was very clean, the wall mounted TV was quite small but not an issue for us, a walk in shower which suited us and a very bright and clean bathroom. The Hotel is Central to Chiswick with many Bars, Cafe's and Restaurants to choose from. There are several Tube Stations in easy walking distance to use to commute on a short ride to Central London. We are looking forward to returning and spending our New Years Eve here. Well done to the Management ??

"Good bur unsettled sleep"

4
25/04/2018

This is the first time I have stayed at this hotel but having a meeting in Chiswick I thought I would try it especially as it had car parking. On check in I was surprised that it did not do food in the evening and that I would have to go out, having driven a long way I didn't particularly want to have to go and find somewhere to eat, although there were a number of places in the vicinity of the hotel. I had requested a quiet room and was given one facing a main road, the receptionist changed it for a quieter one round the corner, I was in the annexe, but the stairs were right above the double bed and the occupants above, whilst not being noisy, did wake me up, going upstairs and the floor above creaked, I could even hear one of the occupants snoring and had to fond some ear plugs ! I had a poor nights sleep. The buffet breakfast was very good and if I could get a better, quiet room, I would use again as it was good value for money.

"50/50 There's quite good, and very very bad"

3
23/04/2018

Finding the hotel is easy, with parking available at the front, and rear. There are limited spaces, and clearly, if the site was full, this may be an issue. The hotel is well located, and represents quite good value for money. On site, there is a restaurant which is used for breakfast only. Reception is 24/7. The front of house are welcoming and friendly. Check in was good. The outside areas are reasonably clean, to the main hotel, however, the patio area at the annex is anything but. Clearly shared with the service team, containers of dirty sheets are left out, empty glasses and bottles are everywhere, and it's not clean at all. Such a shame. I had a single room - which, despite other reviews, wasn't so small. It was a well appointed room, set out well. An initial inspection review appeared ok, but, a deeper look unearthed that this room hadn't been cleaned properly - ever. Urine stains around the rear of the toilet seat, and dust on top of the wardrobe, Housekeeping are doing a rush job here, The TV unit has cables hanging loose, quite unsightly. The bed provided an excellent nights sleep. The room was in the annex, and rear facing. It was quiet, and peaceful. I am sure the squeaky floorboards in my room would have caused an annoyance to those below me - but - this is an old building, renovated, and, well, the squeaks didn't bother me. My morning shower became ice cold after covering myself with soap. I had no choice to continue showering with cold water. Not nice at all. Calling reception, they said they would reset the boiler. Too late. I've had to endure this. Breakfast was good, with a choice between continental and fried English. I left my room for a day of work. On return, the room had been made up - however, refreshments hadn't been replenished. Most disturbing of all, my luggage appears to have been rifled through. There were no valuables left in the room to take, but, it was very clear my bag had been 'Searched', the same applies to my wash kit in the bathroom. I don't say this lightly. It's a serious allegation, however, I am very particular on my kit. Everything is placed in a certain way. It's habit, and it's the same in every hotel. Everything had been moved - and clearly gone through. I feel if there was cash and jewellery, a proportion may have been taken - but - I'm not stupid enough to leave this lying around. Really bad feeling about this. With a little care, and tighter control of procedures, this hotel would get an excellent review. I encourage management to focus on the good, and improve rapidly in the failings. Making the site as it once was when it was last renovated. I wouldn't avoid this site - but - I would act with caution.

Dear Morser221 We most appreciate you taking the time to leave valuable and detailed feedback, we have taken your comments on board and will investigate some of your points raised - rest assured corrective action will be taken with regards to cleanliness of rooms. Unfortunately, as you may appreciate on rare occasion there can be the odd mechanical or technical failure with hotel systems, in this case the boiler which meant a reduced supply of hot water throughout the building that morning, we apologise for any inconvenience caused. Whilst we also appreciate your kind words about our staff it is with regret we must disagree with your assertion that "my luggage appears to have been rifled through". Such remarks are unwelcome and if you felt this was the case it would have been wise to have informed a member of staff who could have followed up promptly on the matter. We have recovered many items over the years including valuable jewellery and cash and have never received such a complaint. Thank you for your feedback once again. Regards Management.

We stayed for just one night. The hotel staff were delightful from reception to House cleaning. Parking was convenient behind the hotel. A buffet breakfast was very good - the only criticism would be that they need more staff to clear tables and more comfortable pillows otherwise bedrooms were good but two chairs were badly worn and needed replacing.

"Fantastic customer service"

22/04/2018

Very helpful and attentive staff. Clean and fantastic shower. Very pleased with a lovely weekend in London. Would recommend it and will be back. Had no breakfast as too many nice places in High Rd. Unexpectedly had to park a car for a couple of hours and there was no problem to park just outside the hotel.

Lovely hotel with friendly staff. Very clean and good decor, however, they have eeeked every bit of space out of this building with the single rooms having single beds and not much else. If you were to stand in the middle of the room you could almost touch both sides. A colleague had a small double which practically touched both sides of her room (not much chance of falling out), another colleague had a basement room with no wardrobe, just coat hooks, and the sink was smaller than a cloakroom sink -tiny, was also very dark and gloomy. Breakfast was good enough, with good choices, though the sausages didn't look cooked, they tasted ok. Saying this, a good, clean all round hotel with free flowing tea and coffee facilities. A pleasant stay.

There were 5 of us booked into 4 rooms, The hotel is lovely with a very efficient team who looked after us. Breakfast was very nice with plenty of choice served in the conservatory. Overall a great hotel in a great location with free car parking.

"Expensive for the size of the rooms"

13/04/2018

Average hotel, lot of street noise and the room I got was tiny, smaller than my car .. Bed was really uncomfortable to the point I got about 3 hours sleep and I basically live in hotels. Wouldn't risk going back.

"Comfortable Stay"

09/04/2018

We enjoyed our 2 night stay. We have been several times before but not for a while. The extended hotel and the face lift we liked a lot, our room was good although a little small, beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed.. It is Convenient for us as there is a nearby tube and a village feel to the High Street and some good restaurants if you want to stay local. Thank you.

Happy with our stay in Best Western Chiswick Palace & Suites. Friendly staff, good location at 5 minutes from the underground station Turnham Green from where you can easily reach any location in London (and the airport London Heathrow). Quiet location. Lots of nice restaurants very close. Nice clean and modern rooms. Good breakfast.

Our twin room was a bit of a squeeze. It was difficult to walk around the beds. Room was clean, shower nice. Great to have shower gel provided. Coffee machine in the foyer a good idea. The hotel is in a good location for getting onto the M4. Highly recommended café directly opposite the hotel is called Angies Little Café - does good breakfast, brunch, salads.

Great hotel - clean, modern in an ideal location 5 min walk to district line station about 30 mins from main London attractions - Chiswick lovely safe area shame we didn't stay longer to explore bars restaurants and shops that all looked great.

"Value for money, and parking a bonus."

29/03/2018

Stayed here for 2 nights, as we were celebrating our Wedding Anniversary, and had booked to go to Olympia Ideal Home Show. The hotel staff were very friendly on arrival, and we stayed in the Annex, adjacent to the Hotel, the room we had was very clean, and although small had everything we needed. The bed was too hard for our own taste, the breakfast was very good with a good selection of food. It would be nice to have the option of an evening meal, maybe in the future. Glad we reserved our car space, as the parking is limited.

"Wide variety of room quality"

4
29/03/2018

I have stayed here on a number of occasions because it has a car park and is very local to one of my places of work. Firstly, make sure you are allocated a room in the main building: there is an annex where the quality isn't as good (unless they have recently improved the annex rooms). Secondly, make sure you book a car parking space if you need one. Increasingly frequently the car park is full if you just turn up. Thirdly, the heating is set very high, but you can turn down the radiators and towel rails manually if you prefer not to sleep in a sauna! Finally, I find the pillows too hard, but I haven't found it enough of a problem to actually ask if they offer a softer alternative...

"Good value, great location & on site parking"

4
27/03/2018

Chose this hotel for it's location and that it has on site parking. Was driving to different venues around London at night, about an hour each way and it was great having the parking. During the day the hotel and area were quiet enough to sleep undisturbed. Plenty of very good restaurants, pubs and bars within a five minute walk. Quick walk to underground and short hop to central London. Very clean rooms, albeit, quite small, but with private bath. Friendly and helpful staff. Save the money on the breakfast and eat at one of the local places.

"Varied standard of service"

22/03/2018

On our first arrival we were greeted by a very friendly and helpful female receptionist. She also mentioned the hotel was due to be awarded a Four star status. We were pleased to hear we had been upgraded to a superior room. The room was clean, bed was comfortable. Though there was a very loud humming noise coming from outside. It was impossible to sleep. I went to the reception desk to complain and asked to move to another room. The friendly female staff had been replaced by a stone faced Duty manager, who said the hotel was full. I explained the problem and a maintenance staff accompanied me to the room to investigate the issue. He heard the noise but couldn't find out where it was coming from. So he went outside the building to investigate. After over half an hour I called the reception desk to check the progress. This time the Duty manager and the maintenance staff came in the room together. Both heard the noise but still couldn't locate the source of the noise. The maintenance staff started using swearing words when talking to the Duty manager. Which was totally unprofessional in front of hotel guests. A while later they couldn't solve the issue and suddenly a room was found, so that I could swap. Although the room was clean, the set up wasn't quite Four star standard. Just two beds being put in a large sitting room. The bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean and warm. Plenty of hot water. It is let down by the varying standard of service. For a hotel going to be awarded a Four star status, I would expect much higher standard of service and room quality.

"Excellent value"

Greeted by Friendly staff, was put in the annex which turned out to be excellent it was a warm and clean room close to tube .No noise .stayed three nights and could not find fault with anything would definitely go back

"Great value in excellent location"

19/03/2018

I stay at the hotel on many occasions for a mix of business and meeting my son who is studying in the area. I always get good value for money and Chiswick is a great spot with a 'village' feel to it yet only a few stops from Central London. The Assistant Manager, Soren, is extremely personable, welcoming and helpful.

"Friendly staff, clean and good location "

4
18/03/2018

We stayed for one night. We had 2 double rooms booked. The hotel is easy to get to from the tube and is appealing from the road. We were welcomed by the deputy manager. He couldn't do enough for us and was incredibly helpful. The hotels public area are all clean and modern. Our room was small and a little disappointing but it wasn't expensive, had everything we needed and we both slept well. Our friends room was bigger than ours. We only found out today that their radiator hadn't been working and they were cold. They reported it on the saturday night before we went out but it didn't get sorted. shame really. however we would stay again.

"Perfect for an overnight stop"

4
18/03/2018

I had first been to this hotel for a small conference so when we needed an overnight stop in Chiswick, we were able to take advantage of a great offer (on a Monday night) and had a lovely room in the annexe which offered its own front door just off the side road. The room was clean and well laid out and really fit the bill. Tea, coffee and biscuits were provided. We were also able to find a space in the car park. It was an easy walk to Turnham Green Terrace for something to eat. Breakfast was available but we chose not to indulge. We would certainly recommend the hotel and, for visitors to London, the access to Central London by tube is easy.

"Very clean hotel - nice location"

This was out 3rd visit here. And it works for what we need. its very clean and well looked after. Staff do fix issues you may have which is another bonus. Its off a busy road so can be awkward to pull in while rush hour is on, unless come from the other direction then your fine. parking is good for £12 and your space awaits when you arrive. not yet tried the food. most rooms are spacious too. I will stay here again, i just like the clean and fresh environment

Wonderfully helpful staff, room far too hot (84) a flat top sheet would have been useful so we could discard the divet. Breakfast lovely, location very good, nice area. Hogarth,s House, Chiswick House and Park and river within 15 mins walk. Plenty of restaurants close by. Limited parking, was not aware you could book this ahead of arrival.

"Surprise upgrade and lovely area"

5
01/03/2018

Very welcoming staff on arrival and surprise upgrade to larger family room in lovely old house that is part of the hotel. Right on Chiswick High Road but it was quiet throughout the weekend and is a terrific area. There were lots of nearby restaurants and bars to chose from. We enjoyed an evening meal in a Turkish restaurant Citrus & Spice followed by a very good beer in nearby Italian craft ale bar The Italian Job. The following morning a five minute jog led to the Thames and a nice riverside path towards Richmond in one direction or Hammersmith in the other. Perfect way to run off the previous night's calories in preparation for the good buffet breakfast.

"Regular guest"

26/02/2018

We stay at this hotel regularly due to location and parking facilities. Easy to get into the city by tube, Chiswick is a lovely area with several restaurants and inns. The hotel is decorated to a high standard, rooms are well equipped, and facilties are modern. We recommend guests make their personal requirements known to the hotel as rooms differ in size (and therefore associated bathrooms) and may be located in the roof area (sloping ceilings)

"Noisy with small rooms"

17/02/2018

I travel a lot due to my work. I think that I am rarely that surprised by the rooms of my hotels.: this one was far too small! I could not even leave open my suitcase... Small - and noisy, as I could clearly hear all the noises of my.... co habitants in the same building. / I stayed at the new, external sector. Very poor breakfast... Polite employees and good room service

16/02/2018

We stayed for a night having visited the Natural History Museum one day at Kew Gardens the next. This was an ideal location, equally distant from each. The room was large and clean, the beds comfortable. There is a car park at the rear which provides a convenient, safe environment to park. The hotel is situated close to local shops and restaurants, including a Sainsburys Local.

We have stayed here several times now and cannot fault it. The deputy manager, Soren, is brilliant and will go out of his way to help you. There is free parking, you can easily walk to the underground tube, and we paid just £80 for the night.

"Best Stay Ever!!!"

12/02/2018

So I stayed here from 10th Feb-11th Feb and I stayed in one of the Suites/Studio flats that they have within the hotel as there was going to be quite a few of my girls staying also. OMG!!! It was lovely..... It was my birthday weekend so the guys at the hotel had decorated the whole studio with balloons, cake and I even got my first birthday card from the hotel! Room was lovely and clean and the added extras that they did for me was such a lovely surprise! Would definitely recommend staying here and the next time I need to stay in Chiswick I'll be coming back! Thanks Best Western Palace for making my birthday a memorable one! :)

"Brilliant stay "

5
12/02/2018

Stayed here for two nights in January. We had two rooms for two couples and we had two rooms on the same corridor which was handy. The rooms were nice with a modern, clean bathroom. The hotel was very well presented and looked impressive when we first arrived. It is in a good location, not far from a tube station. We had breakfast on both mornings and it was lovely. Lots of options, cooked or continental. The price was very reasonable for such a lovely hotel. Will definitely be returning.

"A very pleasant experience and good value"

4
06/02/2018

This hotel is excellent value for money. Only a ten minute walk from the nearest tube station, and Chiswick is an excellent location for eating out. The staff were always faultlessly polite and helpful, and the breakfast was plentiful and of good quality. Our double room was quite compact, especially the bathroom, but was well appointed, comfortable and quiet.

"comfy, useful, nice team"

4
06/02/2018

The hotel is comfortable and useful to stay at London. Fair prices and very nice team. Well located, about 10 minutes walking form Turnham Green Underground. The neigbourhood is very nice. We will repeat.

"A Good Value Option!"

4
04/02/2018

As far as London prices go, this is a very good value hotel. The room we had was compact but had a double and 2 singles beds. It was clean, although you could hear people walking around in the room above. We enjoyed a good value breakfast, and took advantage of the free car park. Would recommend for a 1 - 2 nights stay.

"What a great little hotel!"

5
04/02/2018

We found this hotel for about £56 on booking.com and wasn't expecting much. When we got in the place, the decor was fantastic, really contemporary grey, white and black. Big mirrors on the wall and an open lobby area, there was free tea, coffee and hot chocolate in the lobby too. Soren who was the manager for the evening was fantastic! Super helpful, engaged and energetic. We paid only £12 to park overnight, when we went out the next day Soren the manager let us leave it car there whilst we went out into London. The room was nice too, the air con worked as it was a chilly night it warmed up the room quickly. The bathroom was very clean, the shower was wonderfully powerful and spacious too. The only thing was that the room above us had very noisy floorboards, it was like the person above us was falling over all the time ha ha. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

"Excellent Stay"

29/01/2018

Staff were very pleasant and very attentive noticing if you were unsure of something before you asked for assistance. The hotel was extremely clean. Very close to tube station. Lovely breakfast. Very comfortable room

"Very good"

4
28/01/2018

Nicely appointed room with excellent bathroom, large fluffy towels on a warm radiator. Power shower, in a spotlessly clean bathroom. The showers are noisy, and will disturb other guests late at night. Room 114 also had some strange vibrations, from external fans of some sort ; so I had a micro ~ massage, a vibrating bed for the night. (it was quite nice actually and I dropped straight off to sleep) Reception was slick, polite, friendly & professional. I always look forward to staying at a Best Western (except the one in Lowestoft) Breakfast is always good..... And this one was no exception. Recommended, go and enjoy

"A Convenient Location for Business or Pleasure"

5
26/01/2018

The hotel is excellent offering B&B and complimentary coffee all day (and night). It is well situated to allow the weary traveller an opportunity to avoid a gruelling car journey into central London by parking up and taking the tube. The location offers plenty of choice for eating out from fast food to a variety of good dining. If you cannot find something you like here, stay at home. Most importantly to me, a hotel can only ever be as good as it's staff make it. Every time I visit, and it is now frequently, I feel as though I am at home. Everyone tries their utmost to make your stay a good one and nothing seems to be too much trouble. It is convenient to the tube and M4 as well as a the previously mentioned good supply of local restaurants. Too good to be true? I think not! I might be easy going but now when I turn up more often than not it is with doughnuts for their hard working team.

"Great Hotel, Great Staff and Great Location!"

4
25/01/2018

This is a great hotel because it is simple to reach via the M4-M25, right in the hart of Chiswick on the outscirts of Hammersmith & Fullham . I stay here all the time both for bsuiness and day trips as you can catch the train or underground directly to anywhere in London very quickly. Parking is at the hotel, if you dont like the stress of the city but need to visit clients or go for a days outing, this hotel is a great choice. Always busy so do book in advance!

"Gem of a Hotel"

25/01/2018

Needed a hotel to stay in as I was only in London for a day and was recommended this by a friend. The rooms were very comfy and clean. Very close to the tube which is always a plus. Breakfast buffet was wonderful.Very friendly and attentive staff. Alston, the member of staff who checked me went out of the way to help. Will definitely stay here again.

"Excellent location for exploring London"

23/01/2018

We just stayed one night but were able to leave the car their while we were out sightseeing the following day. It's only 10 min walk from Turnham Green Tube. Easy place to find once you drop down from the motorway into Chiswick. We were allocated a room at the front of the building by the front door which at first we thought might be noisy - we were wrong. The room was spotless and the beds very comfortable. Everyone was commenting the next morning about a storm that kept them awake that night ........ Not us we slept like tops, no traffic noises, door noises, or weather noises. Infact we would book that room again. The Buffett breakfast was at an additional cost and beware!!! If you book through booking breakfast is more expensive then if you book it at the hotel. We had a perfect stay, plenty if restaurants etc close by fir an evening meal. We chose the Thai Restaurant just down the road and had a fabulous meal. Can't wait to return.

"Well located, very comfortable, and a very pleasant stay"

5
22/01/2018

Where to start ? Well, having purchased tickets for some west end shows, we needed somewhere decent to stay, onsite parking, close to transport/tube links, and NOT in central London (avoiding congestion charge). This place fitted the requirements on paper, and was subsequently booked. On arrival, having driven 300 miles from home, the place was relatively easy to find. There are two buildings (linked at via short pathway at the rear of each property), with parking available at the rear of the main building, and at the front of the second building. We were allocated our room at check-in, but as this was located on the ground floor at the front of the building, we requested an alternate room. This was sorted without issue, and we settled into our room in the second building. The room was clean, fresh looking, TV, tea/coffee facility, safe, hair-drier, case stand, and the bathroom was equally as good with tiled walls and floor, with large shower cubicle. Breakfast was available in the main building but we didn't bother with this, so won't make any comment. Our room was cleaned each day, fresh towels, bed made etc. so not complaints there. if I did have a complaint it would be that the bed wasn't as comfortable as I would have liked, but the perfect bed is always the one you left at home, and so I wouldn't mark this place down for that. The building is located about 10 minutes walk from Turnham Green tube station, passing several shops, bars and restaurants on the way, with others further up the main road. The tube journey into central London takes around 30 minutes. So would we stay there again ? That would be a resounding YES, without a doubt.

"Excellent stay"

12/01/2018

I guess there isn't anything particularly special about the hotel; what makes it so unusual and great is as it should be! The hotel is in a nice area, close to transport and shops, bars and restaurants. We stayed their after flying into Heathrow because it was cheaper than the airport hotels and avoided the rip-off Heathrow Hotel Bus charges. Check-in was great, quick and hassle free. They had kindly collected a parcel for me and put it to one side. The rooms were really clean and spacious for London, with all the amenities you require. The breakfast was excellent with a great selection. All of the fixtures and fittings in the hotel are new/well maintained. There were no 'scruffy' areas and I think that makes a real difference. Most importantly, every member of staff we dealt with was really polite. They seem to work like a big, but professional, family. I like how there were some tradesman doing some jobs at the hotel and asked if they could have a coffee - the receptionist replied 'of course!' which I just thought indicated their friendliness extended beyond paying guests. It's a lesson in how hotels should be run.

"Exceptional service and practical rooms"

5
10/01/2018

Company booked this hotel for local contract and as one would expect for corporate short stay has all facilites required, comfortable night sleep, good size rooms and free wifi. Breakfast was a cheap add on at 7.50 with highly attentive and friendly reception staff

"The unlimited complimentary coffee machine at reception was very welcome"

We stayed 3 separate times over 3 weeks and each time we were greeted warmly, had a reasonably spacious room which was serviced very promptly each day. The ensuite had plenty of room and the hotel is well placed for the Chiswick High road, Hammersmith and the A4

"Very small nice hotel room"

3
09/01/2018

We stayed here for one night in the cheapest option room which was situated in the back building of the hotel which is away from the main building. It's a short walk and this wasn't an issue. Parking was a bit of a fuss trying to get through a small passage but there was plenty of space. The actual room was nice and clean but very small! The only issue we had was that there was no hot water which caused us to change rooms in the morning to have a shower. We were given a discount on next return but probably won't be hurrying back any time soon.

"Ideal for two families in the suites"

08/01/2018

Lovely two big rooms with a little corridor between, for use of son and family and the other room for myself and husband. Very clean, but hot - we could not seem to cool the room down even with window open and cold outside. great access for tube station. Easy to get into London. Chiswick High Road very pleasant area with plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast had plenty to offer.

"A great find!"

08/01/2018

So glad I stumbled upon this hotel when booking a family London break, from the time of booking right through to end of the stay we found all staff extremely helpful. I booked direct with the hotel and spoke with the manager who offered great customer service. On arrival at the hotel we were pleasantly surprised at just how lovely it is. We were allocated the studio room which was amazing, modern, spacious, ideal for a family of four. The reception area and breakfast room was also very pleasant and breakfast was very good, a great selection of fresh food on offer. Great price for a very good hotel, ideally located for exploring London, being only a few tube stops away from usual tourist spots with the added benefit of free parking. Will 100% be using this hotel on further London trips.

"Experienced Hotel Guest here for the second time"

4
01/01/2018

This is the second time I have stayed at this particular Best Western, the brand which is very quickly becoming my group of choice. On each occasions the staff have been extremely welcoming and attentive, with very good local knowledge. The location for anywhere in Central London is very good as there is a tube station within a very short walking distance, from where you can link up with any tourist or business location. It has a small carpark and is surrounded by some very good places to eat, with a great choice of food types to choose from. There is a similar choice of places for a drink and relax. On my first stay I was upgraded to a very spacious room, where the décor and design was exceptionally good. This time I had a standard double room, which was not quite the same standard, but still very good. The atmosphere is very relaxed and unimposing in any way. I felt very comfortable coming and going to my business meetings and going out to eat in the evenings. If the location is right for your needs I would certainly recommend you try it. I will go again.

"Friendly staff, rooms very clean, nice place"

We went to see the Christmas spirit of London and we found this hotel at a very affordable price. it's a bit far off the main streets but with the underground connections you arrive in no time so its not a problem. the good thing was it is in a quiet location and a very pretty house. the rooms are very clean, the bed is cozy, the staff are very helpful, breakfast had everything you need to start a new day in big london, Excellent!

"Friendly & helpful staff , good price , clean hotel"

28/12/2017

Modern , clean , breakfast wonderful , I would highly recommend this hotel , my second visit and still as good as last year , close to tube station , parking my car was very convenient . I was great full for that coming from Birmingham it's great help .

"Very friendly staff and great beds!"

27/12/2017

The room was modern, clean and the beds are great. The bathroom is a bit small but very clean and new, great shower. Breakfast was ok but the bread and pastry should be more fresh. Location is very good, a quiet area and public transport a few steps away. The staff is super friendly.

"Friendly stuff, cheap and clean hotel"

5
22/12/2017

This hotel is located between 2 station of the District line and is relatively close to Hammersmith. There are also a few bus lines stopping nearby to various destinations. The hotel is relatively cheap, clean and the stuff is lovely and helpful. The breakfast is decent too. Also there are a few quality restaurants around.

just got back from a weekend in london and stayed in this hotel..the rooms were modern, light and wonderfully clean..the beds were so comfy..all mod cons and a wonderful welcome gift..i would definately recommend this hotel.. not far from stamford bank tube station(a short walk)

"Friendly Staff and cheap hotel"

5
21/12/2017

Convenient and cheap hotel close to the centre of London. Large, clean rooms for 2 people and we were both very happy with our accommodation. The breakfast could have been better though. As it is it felt a bit sparse.

"Friendly and helpful staff, spacious and clean room"

4
20/12/2017

I enjoyed staying at this hotel. It was warm, clean, spacious and the staff were extremely friendly. They went out of their way to accommodate me and kindly moved me to another room away from the main street when I requested it. It's so refreshing to be greeted by friendly faces in the morning! They knew it was my birthday and handed me a lovely gift of toiletries to take home with me. The bathroom was spotless with a hot shower. I didn't get a chance to sample the breakfast but it looked like there was a lot on offer. I would definitely stay here again!

"family visit to London"

clean room for 3 people, large beds, excellent breakfast, very accessible locality from metro, absolute satisfaction, balanced price / performance ratio nice service, just everything in perfect order :-)

"The perfect stay just out of the chaos"

4
12/12/2017

I like this hotel, I have stayed a few times, the location is just far enough outside central London to relax but close enough for ease of access. This time we booked a King Room and were put in the annex, which is actually a house that is at a right angle to the main hotel. The room was a nice size in a private location, had a private access down the side of the house, so we could come and go as we pleased. Lovely bathroom and a great power shower. Only criticism would no drawers to unpack into, just an open front wardrobe and some shelves.

"Perfect"

5
11/12/2017

This hotel I use everytime I stay in London. It has parking, close to the tube so 30 min to central London. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. Staff and service is great. The rooms have got TV, Tea and Coffee facilities and great bathrooms with bath or shower. Towels are fresh as is the linen!

"Great hideaway"

4
10/12/2017

Easy to find, welcoming staff, room easily dealt with. Room larger than expected. Good range of facilities - shower, TV, hair dryer, lighting very good and all worked etc. Not much of a view but not that important. Bit of a noise from heating system outside but not that intrusive. Bed very comfortable. Room spotlessly clean with tea/coffee making facilities. Well carpetted room. Toilet/shower worked well; good range of toiletries & although small very well fitted out. Ground floor room & very quiet - excellent! Great facilities for a single room in the London area.

"1 night stopover"

5
08/12/2017

Booked here through Hotels.com for a 1 night stopover after attending a gig at Shepherds Bush. Nice comfortable hotel, situated in Chiswick on bus routes with lots to do in local area. Great, helpful, friendly staff, we were upgraded to a larger room. Very clean, great breakfast, parking, will certainly stay again.

"Dont stay if you want to sleep later than 6"

2
08/12/2017

Got a small room in the basement which i dont really mind since i just sleep there and air was ok. However, the checkin was very unfriendly (night concierge) and did not give any information as you are used to. The biggest issue is the sound level in the hotel, you can hear everything what happens on the corridor in the evening since the doors have 2 cm gap to the floor. Worst however is the morning when u can hear everything that happens on the ground floor and it sounds like there would be furniture moved around. Breakfast is limited and tables are barely cleaned. All i all ever worth the price or this location

checked in late at night -- very efficient - clean rooms - loads of tea / coffee / biscuits in the "kitchen" -- clean bathroom -- double bed and single bed --- everything really good -- following morning the breakfast was great - lots of choice -- guy on desk even came outside to show me where to catch the train -- would stay here again definitely

"Everything was great but in a small room"

4
01/12/2017

The hotel is great and in very nice location. The only not so good point is that some of the rooms are very small (i have stayed in 2 such rooms) and you feel like you don't have enough space. Other than that everything is really great and i would for sure recommend it to someone to stay there.

"Very nice, one small design issue. "

4
26/11/2017

A very nice hotel, clean, friendly professional staff, the room was spacious with everything you could need. Excellent transport links to central London and a lovely high street with lots of individual shops. Our only issue was the noise outside our room. We were on the ground floor and we think because of the tiled floor the noise outside, breakfast being set up, people coming and going etc was massively amplified. We have stayed here before in different rooms and never had this problem. The people were not being exceptionally noisy it's just the acoustics which created the problem. It would not stop us staying again, we would request a room on another floor.

"Very welcoming staff and a good quality hotel experience"

5
24/11/2017

Very attentive staff who are very polite and helpful. Carried my bag to my room which was a very welcome service. Breakfast was very good quality and stress free. Room has air con which was welcome and bathroom was very modern and very clean. My only issue was the car park. It is free so that was a bonus but it is quite small and cramped. Once your car is in its a 90 point turn to get it out. I would advise getting to the hotel early to avoid this issue, Tube station is a 10 minute walk to the district line so quite useful. Main car park entrance is a bit hidden and is unfortunately on the corner of a junction so you may find you need to drive past and turn round to safety enter. Good wifi free in hotel

"Charming and clean"

Nice and charming hotel, next to famous studio Metropolis in London. Nice streets, many transports available, shops open 24hours. Hotel was very clean and people very helpful 24/24. Breakfast top! I recommend it 100%.

The Best Western Chiswick was a quiet, clean hotel with friendly staff and a warm delicious breakfast to start the day. Close to two district line tube stops meaning you can be in central London in about 20 minutes.all the shops and restaurants on the Main Street give plenty of options for dining and necessities. Our room was a two double, large updated bathroom and plenty of storage. I would gladly return in the future.

22/11/2017

What a stunning boutique hotel located in the heart of Chiswick, totally unexpected stopover en route to Heathrow airport due to delayed flight using a secret deal offer online and it was the most amazing place to be at. They must have just put the Christmas lights up because the decorations and "Wonderland" theme were spot on and we hadnt seen this before at a London hotel. Fantastic buffet breakfast with warm kind and brilliant service from all staff. We will definitely be sharing our experience with family and friends

"Quick stop in london"

Lovely place and grate location. So easy to hop on a bus etc into the centre of London. Lots to do around hotel too. Friendly staff, good breakfast. On site parking and you can leave your car while you pop around London.

"Home from Home"

17/11/2017

I have stayed at the Chiswick Palace & Suites many times over the past 11 years. The Hotel is always clean comfortable and warm, and the staff are always welcoming and friendly. The location is ideal with plenty of bars restaurants and shops within walking distance. There is also easy access to all parts of London via Turnham Green tube Station located nearby. I stay here on business trips to the City and weekend breaks. It really is a home from home for my Wife and I.

Great hotel recently refurbished - free parking, good breakfast, superb shower and exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. A hidden gem for more or less central London. No doubt we will stay again!!

"Didn't expect or like our basement room"

3
13/11/2017

Decent value given how expensive London is but: - The bathroom smelled bad when we turned on the water in the evening - We (unexpectedly) had a basement room with virtually no light The hotel is 25-40 minutes from central London by tube.

"Top Choice for us"

11/11/2017

Room was very tidy and warm. The shower cabin was new and shiny. Everything worked fine. English buffet breakfast was excellent and tasty. Though the coffee could have been better. In the room the TV set was a bit small but working. The air cooler was also a good thing. To the wish list we would like to add a small fridge. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We got excellent service. We have stayed in many hotels in London. The staff in Chiswick palace is definitely the best. The Chiswick area is very nice. There are several good restaurants and shops at the walking distance. The Tube stations are near. You walk easily to the Stamford Brook or Turnham Green station. District Line takes you anywhere you like. The coach line 27 Chalk Farm is a good choice. Travelling by bus is cheap.

"Good choice In Chiswick"

09/11/2017

The Best Western Chiswick Palace and suites really exceeded our expectations. We needed a hotel with parking, ideally with good access to M4 and booked in for 2 seperate nights in the same week. We had one larger room in the annexe and then a smaller room in the main building. Be aware that the annexe building does not have a lift. Hotel is on a busy road but we weren't bothered by outside noise and we slept very well. The hotel has fresh, modern decor throughout, is clean, comfortable and very efficiently run. All staff were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was good value, entirely self service with plenty of fresh hot and cold options. Great transport links - tube and bus nearby and a great variety of cafes, bars and restaurants almost on the doorstep. We will certainly stay here again when we need a London stopover.

"Fantastic Customer Service! "

5
09/11/2017

I didn't actually stay at the Best Western Chiswick Palace, but I booked on behalf of a colleague who was working in the area. Unfortunately there was a mistake with my booking and some confusion so he didn't end up staying but the hotel deducted the payment from our card. Upon speaking with the manager Soren, we quickly resolved the issue. I just wanted to say how helpful Soren was, he was very polite and understanding. Excellent customer service! Thank you.

08/11/2017

I had the good fortune to stay at this hotel during a business trip to London recently and was pleasently surprised by the price, staff, cleanliness, and service. The standard was way above my expectations for the price. If you want a knot hole to the west of London to stay at please do yourself a favour and stay here. It has everything around it that you could possibly need and is a good base for a visit. I

" Comfortable and convenient"

4
06/11/2017

Reception staff were lovely and friendly and were able to give us our two rooms next to each other and even an hour early. We were in an annexe and my room facing the room was very spacious and very clean. Towels, toiletries, hospitality tray and air con were all great. The only odd thing was that there were no bedside lights, so when reading before falling asleep I was in full glare of a ceiling full of spotlights, hoping no pilot would mistake room 67 for Heathrow. The double bed was huge and very comfortable. I know from previous stays that I prefer breakfast out of the hotel and there are plenty of places on the road outside. We like Outsider Tart a few metres away. We would recommend this hotel as very convenient for coming from the M4, parking onsite, a short walk to Turnham Green tube and lots offering options on Chiswick High Road. All in all it is good value too.

"Comfortable place to stay, plenty of evening eating options locally"

3
01/11/2017

Stayed here on business the room I stayed in was in the main building and was fine for the time I was there. My colleagues had rooms in a separate building and they had basement rooms which were not so good as they were a little tight on space. Car parking is pre-booked so make sure you do! Also entrance into the main car park is very narrow, so if you have a larger vehicle you may want to request parking around the corner in front of the separate building. Breakfast is self service and a good spread, there were no evening meals available and the bar is also the reception desk, that said there are plenty of eating choices very nearby so no excuse not to try them. All in all a comfortable stay, I would stay again on business but ensure I am in the main building.

"Weekend away"

4
26/10/2017

Birthday weekend away to see some sights, and this hotel provided the ideal base. Clean and tidy the double room was not large but was fine for the two night stay, and very well placed to jump on a tube into central London.

"Quite good hotel"

25/10/2017

Quite good hotel. Rooms well equipped, could be a bit larger. Coffee maker in each room. Hot breakfast. Friendly staff. Centrally located in Chiswick. About 25 min walk from Gunnersbury station. Lots of restaurants around.

We were in the rooms in the annex this time, sadly no lifts there. Rooms were comfy and other facilities good. It was nice and quiet at the rear of the property. Breakfast as always was good, with plenty of choice.

"Amazing Location & Super Friendly Staff!!!"

"4 days to check room for item of clothing left behind and no responsibility taken"

1
22/10/2017

Company booked over 20 rooms for 2 nights between the 18th and 20th of October. A couple of hours after checking out on the Friday I realised I had left an expensive jumper in my room so called immediately to ask to arrange for this to be posted to me which I was happy to pay for. I was told once called that any lost property is locked in the manager's office but that I would be called in the morning to let me know if it was in there. Of course i received no call the next morning and so asked to speak to the manager herself and was informed she had not checked for me and would call me back. Again, no call was received so I again called on Sunday and was told that they had "not had a chance to look for me" 3 days later! My guess would be that someone took a liking to the item of clothing and is not willing to take responsibility for it, so if you do not wish to have your lost property stolen do not stay here. I will most definitely be advising my company to not book here again!

"Very nice hotel"

5
18/10/2017

This hotel is in my opinion one of the best choices in London. The price is great and the location as well - it is right at the subway station on a line leading to Westminster and further on along the river. The hotel is clean and staff is friendly. The breakfast was very tasty and pretty much nothing was missing. The room was well also very clean and well equipped, but I have to mention how tiny it was...really it could have been the smallest room I have ever experienced. BUT it did not matter, if you go to London you spend most of the time away anyway, so you only get to sleep in the room and that was absolutely fine. The bed was comfortable, plenty of pillows to chose from. The area around the hotel is full of restaurants, but otherwise very quiet and safe. Over all this hotel happened to be a very good choice.

"Great location, very clean rooms & friendly staff"

4
16/10/2017

Great location with easy access into London. Have stayed many times rooms vary in size but always clean, can be a little noisy if you get a road facing room. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet is good value especially if booked in advance, will return again soon

Great hotel with really friendly helpful staff. Beautifully decorated modern and clean rooms. Rooms have good facilities as does reception and the location is great for getting around London. Can't recommend enough

"A good location to stay if you want to see London"

5
16/10/2017

We booked this hotel for two night stay to see parts of London it was in a good location, with parking. The tube is near by, so straight into London. The hotel was excellent, lovely clean and bright, the staff very polite and the room, although a little small, was adequate and clean and everything you needed. There was hot and cold food for breakfast, with plenty of fruit and juices to choose from and a lovely bright conservatory to eat it in. On the whole an excellent week-end. we would definitely stay again also recommend it to our friends.

"Well placed for a visit to London"

4
12/10/2017

Set in leafy up-market Chiswick, this is a delight of a hotel. Some rooms can be a little small (and the bathrooms even more so and I agree with other comments re discount pricing for these) but if you want a clean, well priced and comfortable place ideally situated for the airport, the West End and places like Richmond and Kew as well as Westfield shopping centre all easily accessible by public transport then look no further. The breakfast buffet is good value especially if booked in advance. The staff are efficient, helpful and friendly

"Okay "

3
11/10/2017

I stayed here on two occasions. On my first stay the room was what I had expected for a single room however on my second stay I was slightly surprised by the room I was given. Admittedly I checked in late however I did make my booking and paid for my room in August so they knew I was coming. The room I was given was newly refurbished however it was in the basement and only had a window at ceiling height. The room was absolutely tiny and bring underground was claustrophobic. Had I had my large suitcase with me (fortunately it was at my sons house) it would not have fitted in the room! The bed was also appeared shorter than normal to fit in the room as my feet kept hitting the wardrobe. I rang to see if I could swap my room but was advised it was not possible. Fortunately the next morning another room became available otherwise I would have checked out. I definitely think the basement room should be at a discounted price and you should be advised of this at the time of booking. Had I known this, I would never have booked it!

"Mixed bag "

3
09/10/2017

Room and ensuite were of good quality. Whilst we were in the annex, it was a characterful building and had parking, a bit of a bonus for London. The staff in reception were friendly and helpful, although I would say the breakfast staff weren't particularly good with any request for menu choice. We had to select the best of the items from the breakfast buffet, some proved not worthy of finishing and noticed that other guests were making the best of certain items ie bacon sandwiches. Our room cards didn't work and we had several visits back across the courtyard to reception. Would we go back? Probably not, however if you want a good quality room with parking at a reasonable rate in London and you can put up with the not so great, but reasonably priced breakfast, then perhaps it's worth taking a gamble on the room cards!

"Family visit"

4
09/10/2017

I've now stayed here several times as it's close to family. Staff are always courteous and the room beautifully clean. Wi-fi free and functions well so I can get work done at a distance. Good value with a Great Western Rewards card.

"Good value and friendly"

3
05/10/2017

THis hotel has changed beyond recognition in the years I've been using it. Now more modern facilities and decor. Serves a good breakfast and also close to numerous restaurants for the evening. Bus stops nearby to either Kew/Richmond or Hammersmith (and London),and District Line tube a short walk. Let down by niggling issues - the sink waste in bathroom wouldn't work propserly, air-con was not working properly and room was cold and, worst of all, the pillows were rock hard. Stairs in annex can be quite steep. But, good location and value overall. Very helpful and friendly management and staff.

"Great hotel for a short break"

5
03/10/2017

My friends and I recently stayed here for 2 nights as we were in London for one of the American football games at Wembley stadium. We booked room only but we could have had a cooked breakfast for £7.99 each. There were four adults and we booked a family room which had a king size double bed and 2 single beds. The room was good and shower and toilet looked brand new, there was a television and tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Some good pubs and restaurant's all around the locality which we found very handy. It was about a 300m walk from Stamford brook tube station on the District line which was ideal for getting in and around central London and only 40 mins and one change at Westminster to get to Wembley. All in all a good hotel with very friendly efficient staff in an ideal location for what we needed. I would use it AGAIN and reccomend to my family and friends.

"Excellent little hotel"

4
03/10/2017

We have stayed here multiple times. The hotel is very conveniently located in Chiswick on the High Road close to shops, restaurants, cafes, grocery stores etc . Public transportation is excellent with bus stops and a tube stop within minutes . The staff is very nice and helpful though I could have used a tutorial on the air conditioner. The hotel has undergone a recent makeover with very nice bathrooms in the larger rooms . My only complaint which I have mentioned every time I stay there is that the beds are very uncomfortable. They are old fashioned spring mattresses that are lumpy and saggy . I required 3 extra mattress pads on mine to be able to sleep . I must say they were provided immediately upon request . An investment in new beds would be a priority if I owned this lovely little hotel . All in all this is an excellent value for London and we will return often .

"Nice area!"

3
30/09/2017

The location was great. Very nice area with many shops and restaurants nearby and easy access to London Underground. The bed was extremely uncomfortable however. The pillows were like planks and the bed seemed to slope. Other than that, it was a nice, quiet hotel.

"Palace, Suites, and windowless cellars"

3
29/09/2017

A smartly refurbished nest of houses in Chiswick, nice people, good parking, but with a dark secret. My room was a windowless cellar. About 75 square feet (ie, room for a bed, and space to walk carefully around it), a small square hatch high in one wall opened to a sort of mirrored shaft which rose to a ground level glass paving piece. A feeble current of fresh air meandered down to the depths. The mobile signal did not. The shower was OK, but the shower room so small that you cant actually sit on the loo without arranging yourself around the basin. Immaculately clean, and newly done up, but I cannot work out how they got planning permission for these rooms. The whole basement is divided into windowless cellars. Bed and linens OK, pillows ghastly (but I always bring my own). Not a keeper.

I stayed here for one night with a member of my staff as we were in London for a trade fair. The hotel was easy to find & the parking adequate and free which counts for a lot in London. The rooms were very clean and spacious and I slept like a log on the extremely comfortable bed. The bathroom was a little on the small size but as I was only there for one night it was not a major problem. Check in and check out was quick and easy and the breakfast was adequate without being either sparse or sumptuous. I've never stopped in the Chiswick area of London before but there were a number of bars and restaurants nearby which catered for a bit of relaxation time too. All in all good value for money and recommended.

"Nice Hotel-Good Location-Great Staff"

This was our second stay at the Best Western Chiswick and once again it did not disappoint us. The check in was so easy and being able to leave our bags and venture off into a London, as we were early was great. Our room was in the annex, accessible via a security door (key operated), which I found very reassuring for security. The room was a nice size, very clean, comfortable bed and ample wardrobe space. The bathroom facilities were grand. The only downside to our room was a constant humming noise throughout the night. I switched off the air con unit, the heated towel rail and extractor fan, but it was still there. I assume it must have been one of these items running in a room above us. It was annoying, even the ear plugs didn't block it out completely. We had breakfast each morning, the bacon & eggs for breakfast were fine, the pastries a bit dry, seemed slightly stale, there was a limited ham and cheese selection which was ok. I have to compliment the staff however, each were very pleasant, welcoming, friendly. This was excellent customer service. Thank You.

We have stayed in this excellent hotel several times over the last few years and have always found it to be ideal for doing various things in London as it is well placed for using most forms of public transport. An added bonus is the free on-site parking. The hotel is very well run, clean and employs friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast is good and there are also several restaurants nearby. Looking forward to our next visit.

"Good value, great transport links"

We had a really good stay here, on arrival we were told that they had upgraded our room and it was modern, clean and had all the amenities needed (toiletries, hairdryer etc). Parking was good as we pre-booked a space. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Great location for a hotel, plenty of transport into central London. Would definitely stay again :)

Stayed for a night here last week, the room on the top floor had recently been refurbished and was very clean and well presented. It's very convenient for the tube and Sipsmith distillery.the breakfast was very good with cold and hot dishes which were of a very good standard. Lastly and most importantly the staff were very helpful and positive.

"Great hotel and price!"

Great location, the hotel is surrounded by multiple restaurants and places all walking distance. The room was nice and clean, same the bathroom. Breakfast was not included but we decided to pay for it the day fore which will save you a few bucks. I was a good breakfast, fruits, eggs and some of the English breakfast ingredients like the beans and English bacon which I absolutely loved it. Free WIFI and parking but it seems you have to call and advance to let them know you'll bring a car cause the parking lot is small, actually when we got there it was full and we were considering booking a different hotel but somehow they found a spot. Also very tricky to get in the parking lot, very narrow so be careful. In general great service.

Really nice hotel . Parking a big bonus that close into London . Rooms were lively and clean and well appointed . £7.50 for pre booked breakfast , what a bargain and plenty to eat . Definitely staying here again .

"Cold Breakfast and parking"

My wife and I stayed here last night The room was nice We had a reserve car parking space which we paid for but someone took our spot. When we returned late in the evening we just left our car. There was no room to park everyone was squeezed in. THE PARKING WAS A JOKE I am disabled driver. There was no disabled parking space. In the morning the cold items of breakfast was very tasty but the cooked items were luke warm the plates should have been at least warm but they cold so the breakfast went cold. We will be looking elsewhere next time in London

"Good hotel at a decent price in a convenient location, especially if you have a car"

A nice hotel with nice, helpful staff. Very convenient location with parking for access to M4 etc and public transport to Central London. As with other reviews here, make sure to pre-book parking if you are going to arrive late (£12 total no matter how long/short your stay is) and ask for an appropriate sized bedroom and location, as the size and noise level clearly varies. Although I was alone, I asked for a double bed and was allocated one on the top floor which was undergoing refurbishment and so was roomy, clean, 'new' and quiet. Breakfast was also good, although it would be nice to have a muesli/granola option for the cereals.

Great hotel with a great location for convenient travel into central London (bus and tube links only a few minutes away). Good price with an excellent breakfast. Friendly staff, clean rooms, and parking available. Will definitely use again when

Car parking very good, receptionists were both welcoming and friendly. We were offered reduced cost for breakfast, we normally would not bother with, however, we took the offer and enjoyed an excellent breakfast. Room was spotless with good facilities. Location was perfect with easy walk to tube and 30 min ride to central London

Stayed for two days,Great location, good parking ,breakfast was very good value for money ,for the price it's an unbeatable hotel ,the staff are very polite and helpful,if you are a light sleeper you would be advised to ask for a room at the back of the hotel ,the front rooms although double glazed ,at certain times , street noise can be heard ,but overall we will definitely stay here again

This was a short notice Internet booking on a long weekend. Room was in the basement so bit dubious but was fine very quiet. Great water pressure and large bath sheets. Room had small window that you have couldn't open but had a fan that moved the air or air conditioning. Bed comfortable wardrobe room safe and quick response when hair dryer didn't work. Would stay again.

"Functional but lacking service"

21/08/2017

When staff litterally shrug at you it says a lot, the didnt even stand up out of their chairs to pass the key cards, i was sorry to inconvenience them with checking in but i did need a room to stay in, if i didnt already have a reservation i would have looked elsewhere. The hotel was clean but dont expect anything in the way of service or a hint of politeness.

Parking was free and room 61 was big & comfy. Glad we didn't go to Clayton where other family stayed. We didn't do their breakfast because we had a stove and bought supplies from nearby Sainsbury's Local

"Unfriendly staff"

20/08/2017

The staff was unfriendly when we asked for shampoo and conditioner. They said it was already in there and it wasn't. We rented 2 rooms and they both didn't have any. The hotel clerk was unhelpful. The rooms were also small. We had points and they were still trying to charge us for both rooms.

"Pleasantly surprised! Exactly as described."

I stayed in room 75 in one of the side wings. Pros: Excellent location in Chiswick. Close to public transport, restaurants and pubs. Also close to two parks. The room was well appointed, comfortable bed, very clean with an updated ensuite. The room overlooked the courtyard and had lovely sun come in through the day. Good water pressure/temp and free wi-fi. Airconditioning/Heating in rooms. Also generous with the towels which is much appreciated! The toiletries provided were good but I personally do prefer a bar of soap rather than hand/body wash and no conditioner. Negatives: The room was on the "top" floor with no elevator and three sets of steep stairs. Fine for me but not if you required help. The gentleman who showed me to my room didn't even offer to assist which would have been a nice gesture. Also being a converted home, you do hear othet rooms, water being used etc. Easily resolved with earplugs. No glass glasses provided and it would be good to have a shelf in the shower for personal toiletries. Overall would definitely stay again.

"Reasonable hotel for this area"

14/08/2017

Stayed here for 3 nights very responsible price for a hotel in this area of London, Chiswick is a affluent place, there is lots of restaurants and decent local pubs to eat and have a meal, the hotel has been recently had a make over, apart from a few minor maintenance issues it was a fairly comfortable room with a decent bathroom and shower, our room was not in the main part of the hotel, it looked onto what could have been a nice patio to sit on to,but was spoilt by dirty linens trolleys left all round the outside, also staff often congregate there to smoke not very professional, we had breakfast every morning which was fairly decent if not chaotic sometimes.

"Family get together"

13/08/2017

We live in the south of England. Some of our family in Scotland decided to come to London and we went up to meet them for the weekend. Only 1.5 hours drive. We decided to stay in Chiswick because A - they'd booked a hotel there and B - we could drive up and park at the hotel. So glad we chose the Best Western. The staff were so so helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble at all. The room - a king room was really spotlessly clean. Even got biscuits! We asked to leave our car there when we checked out. Just 12.00 for the day. Perfect location to get the tube into Central London too. Only 10 mins walk. Chiswick is lovely and lively. Great places to eat too. Do go and see. We'll definitely be back

"Only in England"

11/08/2017

I always associate hotels like this with England: higgledy-piggledy assemblies of former houses, with odd quirks and corners. This visit was a quick overnight to see an elderly friend who lives nearby. Arrived late after a hellish journey. The staff were very friendly, but (elderly myself) I was exhausted and they had put me in the annexe 4 floors up with no lift/elevator. Still, the room was small but pleasant, with the excellent English feature of not only tea and coffee but biscuits and a comfortable bed. The bathroom (modern and excellent shower) was tiny but good. Breakfast was adequate, the staff again friendly and helpful: the receptionist called me a taxi which took me to Victoria for less than the black cab the night before. When I mentioned the four flights of stairs, the manager urged me in future to book directly through the hotel and ask for a room with easier access -- I pass the tip on.

09/08/2017

The room flooded during the night & the ceiling looked like it was about to cave in any second, after alerting the hotel staff, and requesting a move, they eventually relocated us to a dry room after first trying to convince us to stay there. They saw that our water damaged clothes were dry cleaned but offered no refund on the room or any compensation for the inconvenience and trauma. The food was great and service of breakfast was excellent. The hotel was clean and basic. A shame that the resolution was not to our agreement. As a frequent Best Western guest I left disappointed, and unlikely to return.

"Best Western Chiswick London"

04/08/2017

Limited parking, main hotel and a annexe. Reception area ok and staff polite. I stayed in the Annexe just a short walk from main hotel, with all the doors off the landing which made it noisey when people entered or left there rooms with the doors slamming. Room had every thing you would expect and was clean and tidy. Large walk in shower and looked like just had a refurb. Very easy to the shops, cafes etc and getting into London Town. Limited parking but parking never the less.

"Fantastic in every way"

Staff cannot do enough for you and are very friendly and approachable and the Hotel itself is fantastic. Room was fabulous and parking is easy and you can book a parking space when you book a room. This was a real find and I hope to have an excuse to stay here again!

28/07/2017

Clean hotel, walking distance to underground stations, super close to restaurants and bars. We had a small double in the basement which was as described (small) but perfectly clean, nice standard of bathroom, comfy bed. No view out of the window but this didn't matter, just close the curtains. My only issue was the green light in the ceiling (I think potentially to do with the fire system) kept me awake but I am an extremely light sleeper- this didn't bother my husband and I can't knock the hotel – value for money was fantastic and we would stay again.

Nice location, plenty of good restaurants and handy shops nearby. Make sure and reserve parking as you won't get street parking and everyone else reserved parking that we could see ( we did in advance with coming from so far away). It's cheaper if you're going to park up and to just leave the car there for next couple of days than parking and moving all the time. You just pay a flat £12 rather than a daily charge. I would recommend doing that and using the tube ( 5 minute walk away) or taxis they are not that bad cost wise within reason. The reception staff were spot on and very friendly and helpful and this is a 24 hour service. We were flat D which has it's own entrance bit which is quite nice, location is noisy traffic wise at night so if sensitive to that not the place for you, but in most of London you'll encounter this issue. The room was pretty standard, however if in one of those ones, take an international adapter plus as the dressing table only has one UK plug and the hairdryer must be there and the tv signal. So it's a choice between telly and hair straighteners or hair dryer or whatever otherwise. Plenty of power points other wise around the room. The wee over head lights were shoddy but rest of the room very well kept and very clean on arrival, and there's a fantastic shower and a noisy but effective air conditioning unit. The cleaner on the first day was spot on, however disappointed that we weren't allowed to have fresh towels on the third day there, we had put in the bath as they were sodden and had been used three times each ( we don't expect washed all the time etc) and they just got hung back up. Bin wasn't emptied this day either, and sheets etc not changed at all while there. Not a massive massive thing but with paying over £400 for three nights you do expect the little things. Breakfast was a bit of a let down to be honest. There's a small selection of cereal, but would be nice to have porridge and maybe tea and coffee made rather than the machine stuff. Tables aren't set you need to do yourself, however the man clearing the tables is spot on and breakfast staff are very friendly. Area where you eat is nice enough too. Milk was warm, toast machine was hit or miss and at one point full of burnt toast ends and the likes, despite staff standing there. Bacon was so so, sausages not nice, scrambled egg was a bit raw the second day, and rest was just vegetables and a few pastries. Apple juice was nice but for price of breakfast again a bit of a rip off compared to elsewhere, we stay a lot of places so maybe just us though. WIFI not reliable.

"Awesome hotel in fantastic borough of London"

25/07/2017

We wished we booked this hotel for our entire trip to London! It was not until we moved to another hotel that we realized this. I booked this hotel for two nights at the start of our family trip to London mainly because we went to Wimbledon (tennis). Chiswick is in the suburbs of greater London. The room was very clean, comfortable and the area seems super safe. It is in an solid upper middle class neighbourhood....we saw loads of expensive cars driving by all the time. (And the local police dept is near by.) The Underground Metro (Turnham Green) is apprx 10 minute walk to hotel through the towns Main Street. Shoppes and restaurants galore....reminded me of Brant Street & Lakeshore Road in Burlington Ontario. One of the best things is that it's on the District (Green Line) Line for the Metro Underground. It's basically one line in and out to get to many London attractions. The next hotel we stayed at was in Bayswater which was inside London but we needed to take many different subway lines to get those attractions....little confusing. What we spent on the next hotel would have more than justified the little bit extra the Metro cost time/money-wise from Chiswick to Inner areas of London. The cost of this hotel was much cheaper (and it was all around much nicer) than the one inside London. About this hotel.... The rooms are all different depending your requirements. The rooms/accommodations are inside remodelled large old century semi-homes. We stayed here at the beginning of our trip and rebooked it again for our last nights stay. The rooms are a fantastic size. Ample room for luggage and people to move about. We had room #56 (triple bed -queen bed & 1 twin) and #51 (family room -queen bed & 2 twins & 2 TV's-good for 4 people). The only complaint is there are no bar fridges and the configuration of #51 bathroom was little difficult to get into as the sink is in the way to get in. Shower was excellent....love their body wash. They have a wonderful courtyard in the back and parking (I think it's free). Beds were comfortable. All the Staff we encountered were very friendly, very helpful and knowledgeable from from desk to housekeeping. I loved the deco at this hotel...little bit glam with all the crystal chandeliers, mirrors & greys colours. We never purchased their breakfast buffet but it did look good. We did use their complimentary coffee/tea machine in the reception area (rooms come equipped with coffee/tea, kettle, and few nice cookies). We purchased our snacks at Saintsbury (across the street) and breakfast at local bakeries. It is not far from Heathrow and Westfield Mall. I/we would definitely stay here again, and again. And would highly recommend this hotel to family, friends and other travellers wanting to see London or go to Wimbledon. Staying here in Chiswick was one of the highlights of our trip....if felt like home. Fantastic British pub is 5 minute walk (Packhorse &Talbot) from hotel.....awesome food & atmosphere. There is so much more I can say....if you like to see little more authentic British life the way it use to be, then come to Chiswick and stay at the Best Western. You will not be disappointed.

We stayed for one night while we attended an event in the area. Having lived in Chiswick I was familiar with the hotel but had never visited, I was pleasantly surprised. I think it has recently been refurbished and to a good level. The rooms were comfortable and clean. I can't comment on the breakfast or other facilities as we stayed room only.

"Great Location"

17/07/2017

Stayed 2 nights from Sun 2nd July. Reception staff were very friendly and efficient. The overall hotel is extremely clean. Our room was on the 2nd floor at the front of the building with a velux window so no view which suited us as it faced the main street and route to Hammersmith with noisy polluting buses. The window was soundproof and there was aircon. We did not come to London to sit around in our room so it didn't bother us. The room was modern and clean with hospitality tray and TV. Would definitely book here again.

"Ok hotel but no bar!"

Stayed here in a twin room. The room was a tad small and it had a v small shower room. There was AC and wifi and staff were friendly. Odd that there wasn't a bar but you could order alcohol. Fairly handy for tube and good places to eat.

Staff friendly, spotless the only negative bit was that we were in the basement would have preferred a room with a window to look out of. We were right by the traffic lights and did not here any traffic noise they must have excellent double glaing.

14/07/2017

Impressive entrance/building. Clean and beautifully decorated, in lobby, dining area halls, staircases and lift. The bedroom was a mish mash, bright patterned carpet, bronse metalic wall paper and overwhelmed the small room, the bed was against a wall on one side, so my partner had to climb over me in the night to access the tiny toilet. All was beautifully clean and well equipt, hairdryer/ironing facility/tv et cetera. Only 2 tea bags and no choice of tea or milk. The bed was not very comfotable, I could feel springs under my shoulder. The sheets and covers were lovely and fresh cotton as were the towels. In all, good value for the room. The breakfast was not good, cold, hard bacon, rubbery fried egg, burnt tomato. The sausage was good. The rolls very good, and real butter. Superb selection of continental and English breakfast. And selection of tea and coffee very good. In all, maybe breakfast would have been okay before 8 am. Would visit again.

"Not the best!"

10/07/2017

We stayed here for one night for a party in Chiswick. We paid £100 + breakfast for the room which was v cheap for the area but the room we were given was in an adjacent building under renovation. Our room had obviously just been completed but the air con was not yet commissioned, the entrance door handles hadn't been screwed back on properly after painting and there was still masking tape around the top of the shower tiling. The room obviously hadn't been snagged prior to occupation. We were also told previously that the hotel didn't reserve parking spaces. When we turned up all the spaces were reserved! The receptionist said they always reserved spaces. We were also promised a room big enough to fit a cot but the room we got was v small. All a bit disappointing but U suppose to be expected as so cheap. Breakfast was nice but apart from that it is not that good.

06/07/2017

Following a three night weekend stay, we left with varied feelings. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and tried at all times to be helpful. Our 'superior' room in an annex area (actually a house around the corner, with direct outside passage, via small courtyard, to the main hotel) was clean and comfortable, not over-sized and not too badly effected from noise outside or above. Being on Chiswick High Road, with all its doorstep amenities (definitely recommend breakfasting out for choice and quality as the hotel fare was mediocre) is a huge advantage. Car parking, it has to be said, is a fiasco. We were charged £12 a night for a 'reservation', which amounted to a removable cone with our name on it. Cones were being removed and shifted around as cars without reserved spaces arrived. Arguments between guests ensued whilst staff seemed to be coming up with makeshift arrangements, finally putting a 'car park full' sign up and stationing someone outside to regulate things. We later discovered that the parking charges were completely ad hoc. Friends staying at the same time paid nothing for their 'reservation'; others told us that if you arrive and there's a parking space it's free. Thing is you can't risk it. One person told us he arrived, found no reservation, and ended up paying extortionate street parking until a place became available. Of course, this is London and so different rules apply to elsewhere, including costs. There's very little hotel competition in Chiswick so the Best Western is wonderfully positioned. It's not a bad hotel but it wouldn't compete well in other cities.

"Good for an overnight stay"

03/07/2017

The hotel was easy to find and was a 5 min walk from Turnham Green tube station. There are about 20 parking spaces available at the back of the hotel. There are a few parking spaces at the front, but these are marked up for disabled drivers. The main building has wheelchair access and lifts to the floors. Reception was good, friendly and efficient. There is free tea, coffee and hot chocolate available in the reception area (which is part of the breakfast room). Our rooms were in the annex block just through the back car park and past the courtyard with tables and chairs. There is also a small covered area for smokers there. At the annex we were show down a flight of stairs as the room was in the basement. The room was quite small, had all the usual tea/coffee makings safe, T.V. small wardrobe and a couple of drawers with a desk and chair and an air conditioning unit. The ensuite was very small and nowhere to put a toilet bag other than on the floor. However the room was very quiet and you got use to the horrid little green light in the ceiling (i think its part of the fire system). Overall the room like all the hotel areas we seen were very clean and the general decor was in very good condition. We liked the breakfast buffet. We would stay here again if we were visiting Wembley or this area of London, but only for a one night stay, the size of the room and especially the ensuite would drive me mad if we stayed longer, and the fact that each time i made tea or coffee in the room i would catch my ear on the bottom of the TV. There are plenty of bars, restaurants and shops either side of the hotel including things like KFC and Sainsburys local shop. We would definately recommend this hotel for one night stays.

"Comfortable and Convenient!"

30/06/2017

We recently had a very good stay in a triple room on the first floor of the main building. Reception staff were helpful and friendly and our room was very clean and comfortable. The air conditioning was great and the windows opened wide too. We were glad to be able to leave our car here earlier than check in while we headed to nearby Turnham Green tube station to go into the West End. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel as we knew there were plenty of interesting alternatives very close on Chiswick High Rd. (Outsider Tart is dangerously close to the hotel and one to try for breakfast or coffee and cake anytime.) This hotel is very easy to get to coming in from the M4 as we do as well as being convenient for the tube and having lots if good eateries around. We happily recommend it and in fact have booked two further stays!

"Good hotel but no hotel bar"

27/06/2017

Stayed for one night while in London seeing ELO at Wembley. We had a basement room which was a good size, one double bed & one single. It was a hot day so nice air con worked, free wifi worked well. We had late night & hotel was really good at extending our check out time until midday. Only downside was no hotel bar or room service. Would have been nice as did not return to hotel until after midnight so had to find local pub & shop as wanted to eat after gig. No mini bar or bottled water in room, however they did have tea & coffee making facilities and nice range of biscuits. Only rated as average as think for the price we paid £120 a night without breakfast I would have liked hotel to have bar.

"Lovely hotel, perfect for a weekend break"

27/06/2017

Lovely hotel in a quiet part of London. A short walk from a tube station (there are two tube stations, each of equal distance away from the hotel). After checking out, we were able to leave our luggage whilst we went off the day which was a really useful bonus that we were grateful for. The room was clean, and although it was fairly small it was all that we needed for a night's stay in the city. We didn't stay for breakfast but what we could see of the restaurant was very modern and looked good. Would definitely recommend for a city break.

"Easy to get too from Heathrow"

3
25/06/2017

We spent our first two nights here, got in fairly late but they where very helpful. The room was fairly small in the front of the house, unfortunately it was the hottest day of or the past 40 years, and the air conditioner struggled a little plus it needed servicing. We opened the window but the traffic noise made it hard to sleep. The room was very tidy, but if going try and book a room not on the street.

"Nice hotel in London"

22/06/2017

We stayed here for the heroes and villains event at Olympia london. Also stayed here for walker stalker con. its a £10 taxi ride away or a nice walk. The hotel is very clean, friendly staff and good rooms. the breakfast looks ok but i haven't had it yet. Close by there are some lovely restaurants. Its easy to find and offers pre-booked parking. I booked through expedia but will book direct next time. They are very helpful.

"Ok for a short business trip but as a cosy get away not a good option - perhaps there are better rooms"

3
19/06/2017

The hotel is actually a collection of houses. My room was out the back of the the hotel and was a room in the basement of the house around the corner. To access the room you could walk in off the street (i.e. you did not have to go around the corner to the main hotel building) and go down a very narrow stairs at the side of the house. The door was opened using your electronic key and again for the room door. I would not like to have been mobility challenged going down the stairs and I am unsure if there was another way out in the event of a fire. The room was very small but ok for one business person. There was a window of sorts above the bed. Breakfast was over in reception of the main building. I like the full english breakfast so breakfast for me was good. The hotel doesn't have a bar but the area itself has lots of nice bars and restaurants. To get to the hotel from Heathrow required one change of line on the under ground so not bad and the walk from the station took perhaps 5 to 10 minutes. The WiFi was good but capped at 4 GB per device per day. The price was just over sterling 100 per night including breakfast.

"Plus and Minus"

16/06/2017

Good things are the location, parking, restaurants and cafes nearby and a comfortable bed. Not so good the awful basement rooms with no light or ventilation that feel damp and cold. Even tho it was June the room felt cold and I requested some heat but the member of staff who came did not really know what she was doing and nothing happened from her visit - the radiator remained stone cold. There appeared to be no way to dry towels. There was a fan due to the lack of ventilation. 3 nights in a thoroughly depressing room so went out all 3. I recommend Citrus and Spice nearby, a very reasonable middle eastern restaurant with seats on the pavement, very pleasant. Breakfast has improved from my last visit here and was good I thought. Quite clever how they used the small space available to create the Breakfast area. If you are a tourist you might enjoy breakfast on the Chiswick High Road more as there are some very good bakeries nearby. For example -Nikki's bakery - turn left and cross the road and it is on the corner of the street that goes down to Turnham Green Tube Station - lovely coffee and croissants. I do think there need to be more staff who speak enough english to answer questions and requests. For example, when I asked what to do in the case of fire the member of staff replied "That won't happen" which was not an adequate answer. In fact my third night there was a fire alarm at 1.15 am and I left my room pretty promptly, locking myself out, as you have to put the key card in the slot to get light. Fortunately it was a false alarm and I was let back in quickly but I was a bit grumpy the following morning after the disturbed sleep which was not ideal for work. I will probably have to stay here again for work but I cannot say I really enjoyed it, despite there being some plus points as mentioned, so hence the 3 Star rating.

We went here from a terrible place a few hundred yards away, and it was a breath of fresh air. The room was lovely, clean, tea and coffee and biscuits included, lovely shower, all wonderful. The staff were friendly and helpful, it is a short walk from the tube, nice area with good shops and cafes. We will definitely go back again

"I thought I finally found a decent place in London"

23/05/2017

During my first stay, I enjoyed the surroundings, and I thought it was a nice and reasonably priced hotel. Despite the AC not working, I provided a good review. for my second booking, I was pleased to see that I had a larger room in the back (i.e much quieter). Unfortunately, I only realized in the morning that the hygiène was not up to scratch: Blood stains on bed sheets, probably caused by the bed bugs. They obviously did not change the sheets before my arrival, and the manager never bothered meeting or calling me despite my request, which is why I am leaving the pictures for his (and your) information - more available on "Booking", but I have the wrong laptop here...

Hotel service is good, maintenance every day, what we have to understand is that London has a space shortage, like any big world city, so rooms are small, unless you pay a lot more, the hotel is perfectly situated, loads of restaurants, shops and local transport facilities are just there. As hotel a good choise.

"Location, location, location"

16/05/2017

I used to live in London and cannot believe that you can stay, and more amazingly park, in such a great location for such a reasonable rate. Five minutes walk from so many fabulous bars and restaurants, and if you do want to go into town you have the option of the 94 bus or the tube. I was in an annexe - so it felt as if I had my own pied a terre; the bathroom felt newly refurbished, everything was clean; the room was tiny but that didn't matter to me - there was still room for everything: hanging space, tea/coffee, tv; reception staff were lovely. Didn't have a car this time but thrilled to find that is an option and will definitely come here again. I'm an ex local so didn't have breakfast here - instead chose to meet friends at Soho Brasserie on the high street. To sum up: fabulous location, fantastic price. Highly recommend.

"Great Chiswick location"

12/05/2017

It seems pretty much luck of the draw whether the room you get is any good. Having read previous reviews we made sure we requested a King bed room. Room was clean, bed comfy. Only disappointment was no bath - and shower cubicle was definitely on the small size. Kettle and amenity tray in room - you can replenish from the drink station in reception. Free parking a real bonus. We were visiting specifically to do the Fullers brewery tour and the hotel location could not be better for that. Loads of interesting shops on Chiswick High Road. Would use again if visiting that part of London.

"Very nice"

Very comfortable bed. Which is a bonus after some hotel beds I have slept in. On suite was very nice. Shower was like a steam room, great. Breakfast was nice also, worth the money. Would definitely stay again.

"If 'Only Fools and Horses' did hotel rooms!"

27/04/2017

Without drivelling on, the room was awful! Decor looking like DelBoy and Rodney's flat in Mandela House, aged and depressive. The room was extremely warm, even on a cold night, with the windows open. The air conditioning unit was a huge box in corner of the room in which you had to put a massive white tube out of the window for it to work. The noise of the unit was tremendous, to the point that I'm surprised that there were no complaints from guests either side of me. In order to sleep I had to turn the unit off, which was pointless as the heat in the room kept me awake all night. The floor was extremely warm, to the point the clothes in my suitcase ( which I laid on the floor) were warm in the morning, which made sleeping impossible. The heat in the room (due to the floor) was overwhelming, to the point I was surprised the police had not investigated my room on the premise that I was growing weed in there! When I complained in the morning ( nicely as it's not the staffs fault) they nodded and understood and apologised for my lack of sleep, then went straight ahead and charged me full price for the room. The whole purpose of hotel room is to get a good nights sleep, that didn't happen but they still charged me. They did email me later that day to offer a discount on my next stay, which to be honest shows their lack of understanding of my frustrations of not getting any sleep. As I will never be going back there again. For the discounted price I got on the room ( off a booking site) it was £110, you can easily get far better hotels nearby for that money ( I booked late for a meeting, hence why I was staying there). Definitely only choose to stay here if the only other option is sleeping in the doorway of a KFC!

Pravin S, General Manager at Best Western Chiswick Palace & Suites, responded to this review
Dear bluezippy, thank you for your review. I was concerned to read your comments and apologise for any shortcomings, particularly with regards to the room type allocated, on your more recent visit. May I ask you to contact me directly, so I could offer you a more personal apology. Yours Sincerely

"Lovely area"

4
22/04/2017

We never been to Chiswick and the area is so lovely and safe, plenty of restaurants and bars all around, easy connection to Heathrow airport and to downtown London. We find the staff friendly and helpful. They store our many bags on the morning we were leaving in less then a minute so we could take advantage of the area before heading to the airport. Room had very nice sized beds and bathroom was good enough for us. Wi-fi works very well. A place to keep in mind when going to London.

"Worst room ever if your over 5 ft 4"

2
13/04/2017

This was the second and last visit to this hotel. The first stay was in a room at the front of the hotel, comfy enough with ample room but the noise from the traffic constant, dusk to dawn. The second visit we requested a room at the back of the hotel, less noise, yes. However this so called double room is for a single person height under 5 ft 3 and what is described as a bathroom is a joke, 1 ft in width and 6 ft in length, challenge to sit on the loo!!

"Terrible. No words to describe"

1
12/04/2017

They gave us an already occupied room, when we opened the door of the room, we saw that there were clothes of somebody else on the bed, so immediately closed the door. It could have been such an embarrassment if there was actually somebody in the room! Imagine that they give the keys of your hotel room to somebody else! Then our actual room was a terrible room in the basement which was the smallest and darkest hotel room I've ever seen in my life. The bathroom was as wide as a small shower (circa 90cm). The room was a little wider than a double bed (circa 180cm). It was horrible. Such a disappointment

"Great little gem in a beautiful little village area in greater London close to subway!"

5
11/04/2017

We had a great stay at the Chiswick Palace and Suites! The staff are friendly and the room was clean, airy and comfortable! The size was certainly adequate for three people. They provide free wifi and television. The bathroom was small but well appointed. The hotel provides free cappuccinos and hot chocolates any time of the day or night (machine). My son said the full breakfast was excellent! The local amenities are fantastic! There is a Sainsbury grocery store down the block, and numerous small local stores, restaurants and cafes. It is a quick 8 minute walk to the subway. The only improvement I could suggest - the addition of a small fridge. Otherwise, it is easy to grab sandwiches and pre-made cuisine of various types at the local stores.

"Great "

11/04/2017

Had a very nice studio room it wasn't very big but was modern and clean . The beds and pillows were a bit hard for my liking but I like squishy pillows lol . They have a hot breakfast you pay just under 10 pound for. This place is close to 2 tube stations lots of places to eat and shop close by . The reception staff were very helpful and informative. It's a shame there wasn't a self serve laundry room

"Nice small hotel"

11/04/2017

This hotel is located in very nice and charming Chiswick area. Area is full of small shops, restaurants and pubs. It is around 30 min away from the hard of the city by bus. But the bus station is in front of the hotel . Rooms are clean and small. Staff is friendly.

"Good hotel in West-London"

10/04/2017

We stayed here during a football weekend away with friends. The hotel is located in the west of london, about half an hour by car from the city center (Soho). Hotel was fine, room was up to par, bathroom although bit small well equiped. The free wifi was good as well. Given the price we got a good deal, I would stay here again. When travelling about I suggest to use Uber, super convenient and much cheaper than a black cab.

"Great value,. great location"

Really nice hotel in Chiswick, We stayed here on a recent Twickenham visit for the Rugby, I was pleasantly surprised with how nice this place was - and in a great location! Good option if you need to stay in the London area!

"Very smelly breakfeast!"

27/11/2016

We spent 2 nights in this hotel. Our room was on 2nd floor at the back and really nice. On first morning when we woke up, having slept with window open, (aircon not available), we found ourselves in a very smelly room. The grilling of bacon from ground floor was overwhelming, coming up through staircase but also coming in through window from outside! Needless to say that was very unpleasant!

"absolutely horrible experience"

26/11/2016

I had a project with company in Chiswick Business park. I arrived 2 days before the project and book this best western. Those were the coldest nights ever. I was sleeping fully dressed up and it was 10C degrees in the room. Complained many times to reception but nothing. the things became worse when i woke up and wanted to take hot shower - there was no hot water !!!! they said they couldn't do anything until the following day. NEVER stay there again.

"Pleasant Stay"

4
25/11/2016

We stayed here for two nights for a leisurely break away. It's a really nice area with some lovely restaurants and shops close by. The hotel is very nice, very clean, staff are friendly. Our room was really spacious with a living room area and kitchen however it was in the basement so we had no windows out onto the street and it was really warm but it did have air conditioning. It did feel a little claustrophobic at times. On our last morning the shower was cold. We rang reception and they told us it was a boiler problem and a one off thing but it would be fixed soon and they gave us an extra hour to check out but the water never fully heated up so we had lukewarm showers. The breakfast is very good. There's an underground station only an 8 minute walk away. It's a very safe area. We told reception that the shower never heated up, he did apologise and was very pleasant and told us if we ever decide to stay with them again that they will look after us. I think it would have been more fitting to have offered us some of our money back to be honest. On the whole it was a very pleasant stay. My only faults were the basement room and the shower problem.

21/11/2016

I stayed here while attending meetings in London and the Location was very good for what I needed. The Room I received was in the basement and was very small. This was ok for a couple of days as I was barely in the room but any longer and I may have went stir crazy with it

"Last minute booking but pleasantly surprised"

20/11/2016

Excellent location on Chiswick High Road. Close to all restaurants, shops and bars. Our room was not part of the main hotel but in a block through a walk way which was fine. We had a king size bed and the room was very spacious. Everything clean as you would expect. Duvets were very thin so had to use the spare in the wardrobe but that's just down to personal preference. Ensuite clean and products available. Ironing board available on the stairs if needed. Tea and coffee facilities in the room. TV with remote in the room too which was good. All in all, a very pleasant room and perfect for what we needed which was a room for the night. Wouldn't recommend if you were looking for a hotel which had a bar as this doesn't.

Stayed here en-route to a holiday departing from Heathrow. We live in Essex so know the area well as previously lived in west London. Chiswick is such a lovely area and this hotel was lovely. Nice amenities in the room, lovely biscuits. Everything you need. I would really recommend this hotel to tourists visiting London, Chiswick high road is gorgeous it has great transport links, is 30 minutes from Heathrow and 20-30 minutes into city. Would definitely stay here again.

12/11/2016

Stayed one night, to visit the nearby Sipsmiths distillery. Location is an easy 5 mins walk from Stanford Brook tube station. Checkin was efficient & friendly. Our room was comfortably large and looked immaculate - in fact it looked as if it just been refurbished. We did not try the aircon, but the Wifi worked perfectly. Tea & coffee were available in the lobby and in the room. The bathroom was "compact" with a decent size shower but no bath. Breakfast (extra £10) was a sizeable buffet, with decent cold and cooked options. We arrived by tube, but noticed there is a large carpark available. Highly recommended, especially considering the rate charged.

Would 100% recommend!! Stayed last week in the apartment suite, was so much more than i expected. 2 huge beds, a sofa and kitchenette with table! room and hotel is very clean and beautifully decorated. Breakfast room is gorgeous with the conservatory part in the morning. Breakfast had a very good selection which i thoroughly enjoyed. Staff were brilliant and more than helpful. "NOW LOST A REGULAR GUEST!"

31/10/2016

We have had a company account with the Best Western Chiswick over the years as it is a convenient hotel near to our Head Office, but over the last year the customer service has reached an unacceptable level. When I booked a room for my boss (this booking was made on the 3rd October for a 1 night stay on the 24th October, so not a last minute booking) I spoke to the hotel receptionist, Miguel, and he confirmed the date and room booked and also followed this up with an e-mail specifying the date and room requested. When my boss arrived at the hotel he was told that they are fully booked and would have to take any room they have available. My boss tried to explain that he had a booking made for a specific room and that, even if the hotel is full, the room should have been reserved for him. Miguel told him that they do not reserve specific rooms for guests must that he must be mistaken! When my boss tried to tell him that he had himself sent us an e-mail confirming the room he become extremely rude and started to make faces at the other staff (professional?!) to try and make himself look right and my boss wrong. I wrote to the hotel manager and received a reply apologising and said that a trainee had accidentally removed the notes regarding the specified room from the booking but that still does not address the fact that the receptionist Miguel was extremely rude, denied any knowledge of an e-mail confirmation, although he was the person who sent it to us, and then made my boss feel extremely uncomfortable by indicating that he was “not telling the truth”. I will not be making any future bookings there!

"We feel cheated!!"

27/10/2016

This could have been a 5 star review as the room itself was perfectly nice and the bed was comfy. However, we were unsure whether we had paid for breakfast within the cost of the room so asked when we checked in and we're told yes it was included and were given breakfast times. The breakfast buffet was distinctly average however if included in our stay nothing to grumble about. On checking out however we were slammed with a £60.00 breakfast charge and even though we explained what we had been advised the gentleman on reception was more than unhelpful and ruined our last day in London by making us feel like it was all our fault. I must tell people if you are happy to pay £10 for breakfast which is what you will pay at the hotel, have a wander just outside the hotel where are there are lots of lovely coffee shops and restaurants offering tasty but affordable breakfasts that will leave you much more satisfied. Sadly will not be returning.

26/10/2016

I booked a basement room and sent an email requesting a basement room and got a reply from a receptionist called Miguel that I would indeed have a basement room. I arrive and check in only to discover that I didn't have a basement room. But luckily Miguel was on duty. He said that the hotel was full and he did not promise a basement room and when I said he himself had confirmed to me by mail that I did book a basement room he said that was not possible. He was very rude, unhelpful and kept on pulling faces to other reception staff like I was totally in the wrong. I've stayed in this hotel many times but now never again and if they employ staff like Miguel the standards will soon hit rock bottom.

Pravin S, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Chiswick Palace & Suites, responded to this review
Dear John H, We appreciate all feedback which will allow us to continually monitor & improve our service & standards & I am grateful for your comments. We have taken your points on board. 25/10/2016

My room had a small narrow bed, a good amount of "walking around" space, and a small but nice bathroom with a shower. On the street, but quiet except for the occasional sirens. The "curtain" on my skylight did little to darken the room. Check the shower in your oom, as some are short, especially if you are tall. Mine was fine - open to the ceiling. The computer in the reception area needs updating, de-bugging, and a better browser. It would not let me access many of my usual sites. The night-time staff were unfriendly and not helpful, but the day-time staff were fabulous. Breakfast was not included in my rate but I treated myself one morning. It consisted of yogourt, fresh fruits, croisnats, bacon, sausage, eggs, etc.

Pravin S, General Manager at BEST WESTERN Chiswick Palace & Suites, responded to this review

This is one of the cleanest hotels we have stayed in. One night stop over for a birthday week end in London. The room was huge, great bath room. I would like to give 5 stars but the room was so hot it didn't make for a very comfortable night. There is A/C but was ineffective.

"Probably the best location from which to explore the area"

10/10/2016

A long weekend to visit family saw five of us stay here. It does not offer full hotel type facilities, such as a bar &c but that apart we had no complaints whatsoever. This place offers breakfasts at the (current October 2016) cost of £9.99 which were adequate and tasty. There is a coffee maker always on standby from which to obtain drinks on a totally free basis. Rooms were clean and tidy but do vary in style and size. Bed was very comfortable and did away with what I call "sweaty pillow" syndrome, that is to say, they are not of the type filled with the stuffing which makes sleeping uncomfortable and the nearest to feather type. Parking is limited at the front of the premises but a fairly large car park is accessible through an archway to the west end of the building. However, this is rather narrow and care must be taken when negotiating this access. We would return.

We spent 2 nights here in a 3-bed family room. The room was very clean and spacious, the bathroom was small but again very clean, modern and functional with a lovely shower. The staff were very pleasant at check-in/out as were the cleaning staff we came across. We didn't have breakfast but it smelt fantastic as we walked past the breakfast area! The hotel is in a convenient location for the underground, buses and local restaurants. We will definitely stay here again.

We chose this hotel because it is close to Sipsmith Distillery and our daughter and son-in-law had given us a voucher for a tour there. The hotel is well situated within easy reach of two underground stations and there are plenty of places to eat nearby, Although our room was very small it had everything we needed and was clean and fresh. The breakfast is a buffet and you can help yourself to anything you would like. The staff were all pleasant and our check in was quick and efficient. We would certainly recommend this hotel as an ideal base for travelling around London because of its access to undergrounds and buses.

"A Great Place To Stay In London"

03/10/2016

London is always a difficult place to find quality accommodation at a great price in a good location but this place ticks all the boxes! Or arrival we were ushered to our "room" which was out of the main hotel! It turned out to be an apartment! The place was lovely! Loads of room and great facilities! The hotel is situated close to some fantastic bars and restraints which are all reasonably priced and there is a Sainsburys and KFC just over the road. Tube is only a few minutes away and there are regular bused into the city! We never used the restaurant at the hotel due to our having a busy weekend planned but it looked lovely, as did the food! Reception staff were always friendly and helpful. Nicest stay in London to date!

We have family who live near the hotel, so staying here was very convenient. We spent 3 nights here in late September 2016 with the first night being in their "Annex" building next door (more on that later). The hotel is very clean, though it could use a little attention to small maintenance things like fractured caulking around the doors and windows. None of this was in any way a problem, just a tad unsightly for me, personally. Our first room was room #50 in the Annex building "around the corner" on the hotel's adjacent property. The room was ok, not great, and the reason we moved after one night was because I was kept awake by a low volume, low-frequency slowly oscillating noise that was worst right at the head of the bed. Imagine a twin-engine airplane with it's props out of sync. My wife could barely hear it, but I am unfortunately sensitive to low frequencies like that. I brought this to the attention of the front desk, and the gentleman I spoke with was extremely friendly, sympathetic and helpful offering to move us (and our luggage) to another room in the main building (room 110). His willingness to improve our stay made our day; that was customer service at its best. The new room faces the street, but with the windows closed, we slept fine. The bed was very comfortable, and the size of the room was just right for the two of us. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are visiting in Chiswick.

A nice hotel that does not look nice from the outside. My first impression was Oh No but once you entered the building it was a nice surprise and I will use again. If you are coming from South London and worried about missing a plane this hotel is worth the visit

"Disappointing stay"

My husband and I arrived from Spain for our friends wedding and stayed for three nights. On arrival we arranged for a late checkout (1pm) due to our late ish flights back to Spain. Our room was small but I must say nice and clean, I think the bed was a 3/4 and not a double although I couldn't be 100% sure. I did ask reception but received a muddled response. The ensuite shower/bath is tiny, it is impossible to stand under the shower. I am pregnant and found it extremely difficult to manoeuvre, at a guess I would say anyone above the height of 4ft would be in the same position. On our last morning we received a call from the duty manager (11.20am) telling us we had to be out of our room at 12pm. I explained our prearranged late check out which fell on deaf ears and I must say im pretty shocked at the level of customer service we received. There was a night porter on duty on Thursday 21st Sept who was extremely polite and helpful. I suggest this gentleman carry out some customer service training for the duty manager.

I spent a night here when I was attending a nearby conference. Quite possibly some of the friendliest reception desk staff I've ever met. The room was small but that is not a negative - it was perfect adequate for a night or two if staying alone. The bathroom was also snug, incredibly clean and pleasant. WiFi worked well. I didn't eat breakfast, I went to a rather nice American place just up the road. I'd definitely recommend this hotel, very good value for money.

Stayed one night in single room. Very clean and tidy. Good location in Chiswick with friendly and efficient staff. Car parking is available but the entrance is extremely narrow and requires a bit of confidence to negotiate. Should be no problem as I managed to get my Honda CRV in and out. Would recommend if you need to stay in Chiswick area. My compliments to the staff.

Chiswick palace hotel, one night stay reason for staying Billy Joel concert at Wembley Stadium, comfortable accommodation good size room and reasonably priced. Breakfast was reasonable, good selection both full English and continental style. Would recommend for visiting London , and various venues. Chiswick itself is an attractive suburb leafy roads also close to the Thames.

I chose this hotel based on the balance of its ease of access by car from M4 and tube into the city. Certainly excellent for both. Chiswick itself is rather nice (for London) lots of places to eat and a generally pleasant ambiance. The hotel overall is tidy, freshly decorated and difficult to criticise at that price point. Our room was large and again pleasantly decorated. Bed was firm - but perfect for me. Not to much road noise. Only minor complaint is that the room was over warm but there were a couple fans available if needed. The breakfast was perfectly adequate. Nothing to write home about but certainly nothing to complain about. The sausages were tasty and apparently the ones the Queen has!!!! I Would recommend this hotel.

We chose this hotel because it was close to the Chiswick House and Gardens, and because Best Western has a good reputation. At reception we were delighted to hear that we had been upgraded. Our big smiles of delight and eager anticipation turned to puzzlement as we took the lift down to room which was below ground level. Our 'upgraded' room was dark, the only daylight coming from a narrow widow from which came the noise and fumes of street traffic. We declined the 'upgrade' and were then allocated the on

Perfect location for my business trip. Quite a small car park but carefully negotiated into a space. The hotel is spotless and shiny. I was directed to my room in the basement, as I entered my room the heat hit me. There was a window into a sunken courtyard and a window into a vent on the other side of the room. Both were open but it was still stifling. I promptly switched the air conditioning on and this cooled down the top of the wardrobe that it blows on to but it did little to reduce the temperature of the room. The fan in the room cooled it slightly but it was far too hot and this was on a cool September night I can't imagine what it would be like in July.

Booked this hotel as we were attending FriendsFest in Chiswick house. The location was perfect, simple route off the motorway. The car park is small, we arrived at 2 getting one of the last spaces. Very tight alley to get into the car park, but we had a large car and managed it. The surrounding area was great, loads of small little restaurants. Close to a sainsburys local. We stayed in a triple room on the ground floor, perfect size of the amount of people. Bathroom good size and shower was great. Room was brilliant. Only issue aircon in our room wasn't great so the room was quite warm. Also a little nosey as on main road, which is to be expected! Still thought the hotel was brilliant. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Can't comment on breakfast as we went to one of the cute restaurants on the street, called Brew (which was lovely) but the breakfast at the hotel smelled great. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again if in London.

"Terrible service"

1
01/09/2016

Rooms were quite big/spacious, but I have to say that the service was absolutely unresponsive/unhelpful/unsympathetic. 1. Early on our first morning (5am), a service person knocked on our room door. Apparently there was an issue with the water in the room above, and the only way to address the issue was through entry into our room. The service person was friendly, but seemingly unapologetic about waking their guests up. 2. Before leaving my room one morning I laid out 3 clothes items on my bed to wear later that day. When I returned to the room in the afternoon the clothes were missing. I'm willing to believe the clothes were not stolen purposefully, but they did go missing (I'm guessing they were accidentally put in the laundry when the room was cleaned). The staff was completely unresponsive when notified, I followed up with them ever morning after (several days later, they said they checked the laundry, but seemingly made no further attempts at addressing my concerns). Rather than trying to solve the problem, or at least show some empathy for my situation, they seemed more intent on debating with me ("We didn't take it. YOU must have lost your clothes."). Emails to the hotel manager (Soren), are now not being responded. I had to buy additional clothes to wear for the trip. This was a family vacation trip, but I visit Chiswick often for business as my company has corporate offices located there. I will not be staying there again, and will recommend that my company stop using the hotel entirely.

We weren't sure about staying here, as it is a bit further out from the City Center than I would have liked. We were pleasantly surprised by the neighborhood. It is very cute and has a decent selection of restaurants and cafes. It is quite international. The hotel was great- spacious rooms for London (although the bathroom was a bit tight). My husband and I both run and the area was perfect and safe for that.

Stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. Clean and tidy, next time, prefer not to have a basement room. Good value for money. All good.

16/08/2016

Hotel was easy to find but the car park is small and you can't prebook, its first come first served. We had a family room which consists of a double bed and 2 singles which was in the basement. Lovely and clean just a bit stuffy. There was air in but this just made the air dry. Breakfast expensive, £10 each, so we gave this a miss. Easy access to where we were going and not far off the motorway.

"Surprisingly perfect"

12/08/2016

Stayed one night and found staff very friendly and total hotel spotlessly clean. It's an excellent refurbishment. Breakfast was very reasonable at £10 with in a beautiful conservatory. Coffee from machine was very good and free all day. Parking behind hotel very useful. Would definitely recommend. Paid £79 on booking .com.

"Nice, quiet location out of the city center"

08/08/2016

Really enjoyed this hotel, which was located in a nice, residential-type area with lots of local coffee and food spots on the doorstep. Less touristy than near St. Paul's, where I had stayed prior. Enjoyed the bars, tasty pho, and artisan coffee shops all within walking distance. Casual and relaxed, and the room was pleasant (although a bit outdated--perhaps not quite as "modern" as in the photos). Staff were friendly. Overall, would recommend and would stay again.

Very practical and decent hotel. Quiet at night, good size room with one double and two singles (family room). Nice selection of biscuits and really cool tray thing with kettle integrated. Beds are a bit hard and pillows pretty hard too. Good clean ensuite shower and a very decent breakfast buffet. Excellent location and has all the facilities you might need.

"Mid week break"

05/08/2016

Coming from the west M4 I was looking for somewhere that would be easy to get to and also offered car parking..... As parking is limited I arrived early and found a space with no problem.... the staff on arrival were friendly and helpful and indeed remained that way throughout our three night stay. The room was spotlessly clean but we did find the bed a tad uncomfortable and the shower was tucked under a sloping ceiling. Nevertheless, with easy access to all forms of transport and the reasonable price charged we would not hesitate to recommend the hotel and will certainly use it again for future visits.

"Chiswick Palace stay"

27/07/2016

Very good hotel with very friendly staff, wanted to stay an extra night and this was no problem despite an emergency. Obtained taxis for us when requested, At £9.99 breakfast was very good value for money when compared to elsewhere. Ideally situated for visitors to London with bus stops and tube station nearby. Good value for money. On the downside couldn't connect my tablet to the Wi-Fi.

"Family vacation"

5
26/07/2016

We really enjoyed staying at Chiswick Palace. The room was clean and the beds were really comfortable. The only downside was the bathroom, def on the small side! But I understand that is normal for British properties. There were several very good cafes and shops nearby, and the tube was only a few block walk.

"Well kept secret"

25/07/2016

I don't want to say too much about this hotel, except it is superb. There I go, said it. Newly fitted out the hotel must be one of the best in the area. Staff very polite and helpful. Will definitely stay again. Only slight down side was the size of the room, but as it was only a base it didn't make much difference.

"Great location, clean, and good staff"

4
24/07/2016

Our suite for a family of four was snug, but new, clean, and perfectly comfortable for a three-night stay in July. The location is great: close to Tube, Chiswick House and Gardens, and plenty dining and shopping options all along Chiswick High Road. Also an easy Tube ride to Heathrow Airport. Neighborhood felt very safe. The staff were friendly, helpful, and maid service was great. The room is snug for four people and luggage. The kitchenette was a nice feature, but was not entirely equipped with utensils, though certainly workable. In the lobby there were complimentary hot beverages offered all day. It was quite warm when we were there and the A/C work, but dripped a bit. While there was body wash, there was no shampoo or conditioner. Overall, a very good experience. I would recommend this to friends and family, especially if you would like one room for your family--not always easy to find in Europe/England.

"Great Hotel, Great Location"

5
22/07/2016

Our 4 night stay could not have been better. The hotel is modern and clean, the service was outstanding, and the breakfast buffet was excellent. The hotel's location is outstanding, only a short tube ride into central London, with many restaurants, a market, drug store, and other shops on the same street in easy walking distance. We would definitely stay here again.

"Great location. Clean and comfortable."

5
21/07/2016

We stayed here for one night as we had booked in for a tour of the Sipsmiths Distillery, which is just around the corner. The hotel is in a great location, on Chiswick High Road, within easy reach of the underground and on a bus route. There is parking behind the hotel which was a big plus. Check in was easy, the staff are friendly and helpful. We had a lovely comfortable room on the ground floor. This was at the front, which was a little noisy (our only niggle). Apart from that, spotlessly clean. Tea and coffee facilities in the room. Lovely comfortable bed and powerful shower. We were given the option of breakfast in the morning, which we declined (but it did smell good!). Chiswick is a lovely area, nice bars and eateries. We enjoyed our twenty-four hours here and we will definitely visit this hotel again.

"Comfortable,clean and friendly."

16/07/2016

The Chiswick Palace is a very good hotel located in Chiswick on the High Road. It is relatively easy to get to with two underground stations within walking distance, Turnham Green and Stamford Brook. The reception staff was welcoming and informative. My room was on the ground floor and was larger than I expected it to be. The room was clean and the bedding was comfortable. There was free Wi-Fi in the room. The breakfast was adequate.

"Great hotel in Chiswick"

15/07/2016

Always use this hotel, it's of a very good standard for what we need. The staff always go out of their way to help you and make sure you get what you need. We wouldn't stay anywhere else in the vicinity and its location is perfect for West and Central London. Shhhhhh... don't tell everyone about this or we won't be able to get back in !!

"Efficient staff"

4
12/07/2016

We were very impressed with Miguel on reception who organised a very early check in so we could get ready to attend a wedding. He even offered us breakfast and found an unoccupied room on the ground floor for us. This was a king size room - spotlessly clean with a sparkling bathroom. Only downside was the room was very warm even with the window open. The air conditioning was preset and made the room very very cold so all a bit hit and miss. Be careful when accessing the car park as the narrow corridor you drive through is quite tricky. Breakfast buffet was extremely good - lots of choice and well cooked hot option.

"Great stay in Chiswick"

"Smallest and hottest hotel room ever! "

3
07/07/2016

We have just spent our first night of 4 in this hotel... We left the room at 5 this morning after having had absolutely no sleep because we could no longer continue to stew in the hottest room in the world. The Windows barely open and the fan provided just blows around hot air. I'd love to say it's because of the beautiful sunshine outside but it's cold and wet. The hotel itself is beautiful and obviously a lot of work has gone in to updating and upgrading it. The one staff member we have met is very kind and welcoming but that's not enough when you're not able to sleep. The room (room 79 - I don't know if they differ depending on room number) is also tiny, one side of the double bed is against a wall so it's ninja style manoeuvring to get in and out and during the night you spend a great deal of time avoiding hitting your arms and legs off the wall that you're inevitably pressed up against. The area that the hotel is in is amazing with loads of lovely bars and restaurants lining the streets and I would definitely stay in Chiswick again but probably in a different hotel.

"Refurbished with style"

5
07/07/2016

We have visited this hotel many times over the last 20 + years and watched with great interest each stage of its refurbishment. We are delighted to be here in 2016 and enjoy the changes. Its location in Chiswick is excellent as always and it has retained its friendly welcome to all its guests.

"Good Value "

4
05/07/2016

Upon arrival the reception area is very lavish giving us high expectations, until we were told we were staying on the basement floor. The room was a really good size, beds were comfy and plenty of towels. Down size there was a tiny box window that you couldnt even reach and had very minimal light coming in, it was a humid night and got extremely stuffy so we had the fan on all night. I would specifically request not to be in the basement if I was to stay again. The bathroom was lovely and clean although incredibly small. For the price we paid to be in West London we were quite happy with our stay. It's 10min walk from the tube line, 20mins outside Victoria.

"Absolutely stunning hotel"

5
04/07/2016

This hotel is absolutely fantastic Everything was just perfect. We had a late check in, there was no issue there. Was a bit worried when we ( family of 4) were told our room was in the basement. But there was no cause for concern. Free 4GB of wifi per device (over a 24hr period). The decor. The staff. The breakfast. Amenities. Car park. Beautiful rooms

"Poor"

2
04/07/2016

For the price this hotel is not worth it. I would recommend if you need this area that you stay in Chiswick rooms instead as its a much better alternative plus its closer to the station. The staff are not very friendly.

"Thoroughly enjoyed my return visit!"

30/06/2016

First stayed at the Chiswick Palace & Suites in summer of 2011, which was pleasant.. Having seen that the hotel had been refurbished, and having various functions in London, I decided to book it again, for June and October.. For my latest stay, in June I booked a Single room, and was located on the lower ground floor. Although there was just one very small window, the room didn't feel boxey at all, and was new, clean, comfortable, with a lovely bathroom, tea & coffee facilities. I enjoyed a very comfortable night's rest! Breakfast the following morning was a vast improvement on my last stay, as they now cater with a full English breakfast, as well as cold meat's, cereals, and pastries.. The staff were very pleasant, and I am looking forward to my future stay in October!

"Too HOOT AND TOO EXPENSIVE"

3
27/06/2016

If you don't mind a hot room in the summer a lumpy bed and very slow internet this is the place to stay. The amount of money we spent you would think we would have a cool room to sleep in , a soft bed, and a nice hot free breakfast .

"Great Location"

4
26/06/2016

We stayed here for one night for a stop over stay in London. Chiswick is a very nice area with lots of restaurants and shops which the hotel is all within walkable distance of. There is a couple of options of tube stations which are not to far away if you want to go into central London. We checking in and went back into London that afternoon. The room was quite small but was very clean and comfortable and have to say the shower in the room was brilliant. We book breakfast so cannot comment. For an overnight stay I highly recommend and was very reasonable in price. Would stay again.

"Great location, small room"

4
21/06/2016

Great location for BSi. Nice accommodation, rooms clean and neat but on the small side, but OK for short term visit. Pity there isn't a bar on site, however there are a number of bars on Chiswick high street. Didn't book breakfast as this was £15+ and therefore can't comment on the food

"Excellent hotel, location and staff!"

5
20/06/2016

We stayed here for one night while attending a concert in London and are so impressed that we are going back again soon for the same reason! The hotel is clean, comfortable and the staff are very helpful and friendly. We had a room at the back and couldn't believe how quiet it was, which made for a great nights sleep. We also needed parking and there were no issues with this request. The location is perfect for enjoying the vast array of eateries nearby, and the tube stop is a 5 minute walk. We didn't have time for breakfast so I can't comment on the food but we look forward to trying it out next time. Wont hesitate to recommend this lovely hotel experience to family and friends.

"Avoid room 17!"

3
19/06/2016

Stayed here for one night whilst visiting relatives. Our room, 17, was very small , but spotlessly clean, as was the en suite. The towels were lovely and big, which is something I always look for. The problem became apparent during the night, despite the noise of the air conditioning, which we kept on all night because of the stuffiness of the room, we could hear gurgling and water running on and off all night. There was a boxed in pipe running from one side of the room to the other that was making the noises, don't know whether it was a water pipe or sewage pipe, but whatever it was, it certainly disturbed our sleep. Can't say anything about the breakfast because we didn't have it, it looked all right- a buffet breakfast. Would I go back? Yes, it's convenient for the area, there is parking, but don't attempt to get in the car park if you have a big vehicle, our 4x4 went through with a fag paper to spare either side, you have to go through a covered area in order to reach the car park, there is a small amount of parking space at the front. Yes I would go back, but I would make sure that I didn't stay in 17 again.

"A little outside of London but in a great neighborhood"

19/06/2016

This hotel is not in the main part of London (Zone 2 on the tube) but is located in a nice residential neighborhood with shops, cafes, restaurants, etc. It is about a ten minutes walk from the Turnham Green tube exit. The hotel has recently been remodeled. There is staff at the front desk 24 hours and you have the option of purchasing breakfast in the morning for 10 GBP per person. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel because there are several cafes nearby where you can get a nice breakfast with fresh muffins and coffee. There is a cafe right next to the tube stop where you can get a full English breakfast for 5.99. The room we stayed in was clean and comfortable and they provided lots of clean towels. The bed was comfortable with 4 large pillows. The bathroom was recently renovated and very clean. I would recommend putting the "Do Not Disturb" sign on your door if you do not wake up before 9am because they will knock to come clean the room around that time. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone visiting London but wants to experience a nice neighborhood outside the chaos of the larger tourist parts of Central London.

"Surprise find"

18/06/2016

I stayed for two nights whilst exhibiting at Olympia. The hotel has not long been renovated, it is modern, clean and tidy. Reception staff were welcoming and friendly. My room was at the fornt of the hotel and I was worried about traffic noise - I should not have been I didn't hear a thing! I had a king bed, wardrobe, desk, it was a reasonable size room. The bathroom was a good size with a big shower however the shower door open right beside the toilet! I had the breakfast buffet which is served in reception, it was of a good quality and kept refreshed frequently. There is a coffee / tea machine which you can help yourself to at anytime. There is parking at the hotel which I believe is free. I would recommend this hotel.

"Great location, facilities for the price"

4
17/06/2016

The best thing about this hotel is its location and price - you wouldn't get any other room in Chiswick for at least twice the rate. The bus stop is right outside the hotel and Turnham Green tube station is a 7-8 minute walk. All the restaurants, pubs of Chiswick are a short walk - between 2 & 10 minutes - so you can't ask for more We had a family room - with 2 adults and 2 grown-up kids - and the room at times did feel cramped but the staff was friendly, accomadating and that more than made up for the room size

"Work stay"

4
15/06/2016

I had to travel from Wrexham (3.5 hours away) for a 3 day work course and arriving at the hotel I was amazed. Gorgeously clean and tidy, helpful staff and room was lovely and clean. The only downside was it was a bit hot in the room and I was having to leave the fan on all night just to be able to sleep. Breakfast was beautiful and plenty of choice!

"Very small and very hot"

3
10/06/2016

Apart from ludicrously small room (couldn't walk round bed, no space for suitcase etc) and sweatingly high heat level from unadjustable air con and heated towel rail, this hotel offers reasonable value.given the location. Be aware of aircraft noise from about 5 am in rear rooms if window left ajar to counter heat. Some rooms looked somewhat larger....suggest clarification with hotel prior to booking as the hotel generally seems too busy to change rooms on arrival

"Great Hotel in a Great Neighborhood"

5
06/06/2016

If you are looking to spend some time in London but not in the city center, then Chiswick may be for you. We spotted this place on a 2014 trip to London and rushed to stay here when we traveled last month (May 2016). Chiswick is a neighborhood to the west of London's city center with a ton of nightlife and restaurants. It's mostly local (as much as we could tell) and provides a different view of a London neighborhood than you might usually get. The hotel has small rooms but compared to London hotels it's relatively affordable and close to public transportation. We loved it here. If we come back to London again, we are definitely staying here.

"Great neighborhood, way too small rooms, comfy bed and great bathrrom"

4
05/06/2016

I had a big suitcase and also did my boyfriend and we had no space to walk in the room!! If we were not on the bed or in the barroom there was no space for us to stand. Bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very modern, clean and was big enough. Way better than the room itself. The neighborhood is great! Very lovely and lots of cool and nice restaurants around. We loved the location! Breakfast is expensive so we didn't buy it! The cookies and tea are very good! The only friendly people were the cleaning ladies and one man at the reception desk. The man and the woman at the reception desk that speak Portuguese are not friendly at all and are zero attentive From 1 to 10 I would give it a 7

"Well located hotel for West London"

04/06/2016

Having stayed at the Chiswick Palace Hotel every year for the last five it just gets better and better. The major refurbishment has transformed it into a very comfortable experience. Plenty of fantastic restaurants close-by. Typical hotel buffet style breakfast not to everyone's taste. Staff really friendly, helpful never had a poor experience. Free parking and easy transport connections make this a real gem.

"Great hotel - great location"

4
02/06/2016

This hotel was a nice surprise, being on the cheaper end of room costs for the area. It has a few quirks, but not bad enough to complain about. The location is excellent for Chiswick High Road, The Thames and Tube (District Line). The only mild issue we had was with our room facing the main road so got woken up a few times. Breakfast was not suitable for vegetarians so we ate elsewhere. Staff were all really helpful. Would definitely stay again.

"Small room but a great price and location!"

4
31/05/2016

I didn't expect a very large room -- but it was definitely small for 4 people. However, the hotel is modern and clean and sleek. Chiswick, the town, is adorable and full of local shops and food. A MUST TRY! The price was amazing and it was a short walk from the Underground, which made getting around London a breeze. The staff was super accommodating and always had our room spotless :) The wifi worked great. we never tried the breakfast, but it looked delicious. Don't expect anything large!

"Great start"

3
27/05/2016

After booking rang the hotel regarding parking, being disabled we requested a parking space, in order to reserve a space it cost £10, having arrived and checked in by the most ignorant, dismissive man I have ever come across behind a reception desk we moved our car to the allocated parking. We were checked in to a small but freshly refurbished room, although small adequate, limited tea and coffee so couldn't wait for breakfast. Breakfast served in the reception area ! Limited space with people checking in and out but doable, first disappointment was cold plates, what looked delicious and appetising soon became a bigger disappointment, breakfast was self service and mostly cold at £10 ahead I would of expected better. At £100 a night the beds are comfortable and although small and very warm air con is provided. Chiswick a great location, a walk to the tubes but accessible.

"Great hotel, shame about the reception staff nember"

3
27/05/2016

We stopped here for an overnight as we had a dental and a hospital appointment early in the morning. As we were arriving in the evening, I called to ask if I could reserve a parking space as one of the guests is a blue badge holder and although the hotel provides free parking, I was informed there would be a £10 charge to reserve a space! Outrageous! The hotel is lovely inside. Our room looked like it was freshly decorated and the toilet/shower room was immaculate. The bed was very comfortable, but I found the pillows not quite so, I did wake with an ache in my neck. On check in we were greeted by a gentleman, his attitude changed from pleasant to abrupt when he realised it was 2 males sharing a double room. I thought that diversity and equality were paramount in this day, This is after all, 2016 and we are legally married, this uncomfortableness needs serious addressing. The breakfast in the morning was very tasty, but what a massive let down as it was served on cold plates, it did not stay warm for long. Would I stay again? Yes, if the eastern gentleman was not on reception.

"A nice hotel"

4
25/05/2016

The hotel is located near Turnham Green station! Clean, nice rooms, although ours was very small! It is located on the central road which, is a bit busy, but our room was located at the second building and it was rather quiet! Staff was very nice and helpfull!

"Best Western in Chiswick was a good home away from home."

5
24/05/2016

This hotel, while outside the center of London, had great tube access to wherever you wished to venture to. The rooms were great and breakfast filling! We were put on the bottom floor but that was fine as we are really on in the room to sleep, kept the noise from the street out. Staff were friendly and helpful. No complaints at all. I would stay here again if I was to go back to London.

"Good base between London and Heathrow"

4
24/05/2016

We chose to stay at Best Western Chiswick due to its location near enough to London for quick access by tube, its closeness to Heathrow, and its car park. We were pleasantly surprised by the newly renovated interior and were more than satisfied by the accomodations and amenities. Staff was pleasant and helpful, breakfasts were good, and we slept well while we were there. A bonus was all of the excellent restaurants just a few blocks away.

"Smart choice"

5
20/05/2016

Clean and comfortable boutique hotel in downtown Chiswick. Ideal for proximity to local pubs and eating places. There is limited car parking but a space can be reserved in advance. The hotel has been totally refurbished and is ideal for a short stay in west London.

"Nice and quiet room"

3
20/05/2016

An OK room in a separate terrace house with its own entry. The only disappointing things were the breakfast which was very limited and the available TV channels. I thing the 4GB internet connection limit will not be a problem for most of the visitors but for me uploading videos about my trip it was way too little.

"Ideal place to stay in west London"

5
19/05/2016

Nice hotel in good location. Car parking available , which is always a bonus in London. Had a lovely room after being upgraded because it was my 50th birthday weekend. (A little comment when booking worked!). Close to the river and a nice walk along to Hammersmith. Tube station a few minutes away for those with less energy.

"Smart and convenient location - Chiswick"

5
18/05/2016

Staff are polite and friendly. The hotel is in a great location with easy access to Turnam Green tube which is 5 mins down the road. there is parking at the front and around the back but access is tight to the rear carpark - a Kuga goes through but you find yourself breathing in ha ha. The carpark is secure and if you're happy to park up and leave for your stay. In 20 mins you can be in centre London and we use it for this very reason when we stay in London. Bars and restaurant have a lovely atmosphere for a chill out at the end of the day on the Chiswick high street with a café culture atmosphere. Also you're not far from Kew Gardens in this location a 15-20 minute walk or a 5 min bus ride will get you to Kew Bridge. There is no restaurant here only a buffet breakfast area but to be honest with so many places to eat in the evening around the area you don't really need it. My husband discovered the hotel due to business stays and we now use it for our weekend breaks when ever visiting London.

"No Sleep"

2
05/05/2016

Was quite expensive or maube thats just London for you. The first room was located directly underneath the foyer entrance, and smelt like wet dog, and the bed was tiny. I asked them to move me abd they did much to my delight - but the second room was only a little bit better. The bed was good, but this time it was located directly under a noisy pump, and the fire alarm led was so bright I could see objects clearly in the room - it kept me awake. 3 night stay, not much sleep

"Full marks for this little gem!"

5
04/05/2016

A business meeting took us to Chiswick and an early start demanded a hotel in the centre of the town, hence choosing the Chiswick Palace. Great location just off the motorway, easy to find, easy access with small but available car park behind which was a real surprise. We were greeted by a friendly and welcoming reception team. 10/10 for the staff of this little gem! Our room was great (503) and more than adequate for our needs. Very spacious, clean and well equipped. Power sockets for laptops in the right position a nice little desk space too. Only two very small criticisms - our room was in the basement which on it's own wasn't a problem but it was below reception which meant an impromptu wake-up call at 6.45am as the breakfast tables were organised...and secondly the size of the TV on the wall of the generous room was absolutely tiny and a struggle to watch - minor points in the grand scheme of so much that was just spot on. Locally, it's a great location - with over 70 restaurants and bars within 1/4 mile walk and very close to the main underground station into Knightsbridge and the wider delights of London. Great stay, keep up the great work team! So, we'd certainly be

"Three night stay. "

3
01/05/2016

We stayed for three nights while on a trip to explore a bit more of London. Very clean and well decorated hotel, the service was good on check in but we were put on the top floor of another building that was not connected to the main hotel. We had a very uncomfortable bed that was pushed up against the wall as the room was very small. Good bathroom but also very small. The shower worked really well and the room was serviced daily to a high standard. We just felt forgotten about away from the main hotel.

"Nice hotel, great location !!"

4
27/04/2016

Very nice price/quality relation, in a great location. In the middle of Chiswick High Road, close to a supermarket and a no recommended 24/7 shop, plenty of nice restaurants and shops in a comfortable walking distance. We'll be back.

"Lovely hotel, excellent location"

5
25/04/2016

We stay at this hotel regularly as our daughter lives close by, however, even if she didn't this would be our first choice of hotel when staying in London. Good location, close to tube station and the excellent pubs and restaurants in Chiswick High Street. Never take the breakfast option as there are so many lovely little cafes close by, however, it always looks nice and with a delightful sunny conservatory in which to eat. Rooms clean and comfortable and parking being a definite bonus for London.

"Clean but rather basic"

3
17/04/2016

There was a lot more Travelodge than Best Western to this hotel with a lack of things you would expect from the brand. The parking though free is limited and in varying locations and as some of the staff's grasp of English is not perfect things can get confused. They are friendly though.

"Quality Hotel"

4
11/04/2016

Everything was great on my stay, no problems, clean room, efficient staff good sleep...all good! Parking was included and no suurprise extra payments needed all round great hotel and value for money I paid.

"Great location, free onsite parking"

5
11/04/2016

This is a great hotel to stay at if you have a car and need to park it, they have free onsite parking and we were able to get a spot. We were then able to get into London to visit all the sites via the Stamford Brook tube station, which was only a 10 minute walk away. Also plenty of restaurants to choose from right near the hotel.

"Good location"

3
06/04/2016

Stayed for 4 nights. Clean room, comfy bed but room was so hot even with the heating off and bizarely opening the window didnt help! Plenty of places to eat nearby. Breakfast was very disappointing - badly cooked and lukewarm - I would go to a cafe nearby instead. Turnham Green Station bus stop has 2 buses which will take you to Westfield and also to Picadilly Circus/ Oxford Circus so great for shopping and sghtseeing. Walk down Chiswick Lane to the Thames path. Annpurna is good for dinner and the cafe next to Sainsburys local is wonderful.

"Value for money"

4
28/03/2016

The best thing about the hotel was the staff. Very friendly and extremely helpful. Not an ideal location if wanting to spend most of your time in central London. But, the neighborhood itself is lovely full of shops, restaurants and pubs. The rooms are interesting probably because the hotel is many renovated row houses. We had 2 rooms directly next to one another. One room was big with large windows and the 2nd was small and dark, but had a kitchen, which was fairly handy. Since we could use both rooms, we weren't disappointed, but would have been if we had just the small, dark room. The rooms were clean and beds were surprisingly comfy.

"Inexpensive and Comfortable"

5
15/03/2016

I stayed here for one night and was very impressed. The hotel is easily accessed from both Turnham Green and Stamford Brook stations. The hotel is recently renovated, very clean and comfortable. It also has a lift, which is by no means a given in London hotels. The bed was very comfortable, the shower had excellent water pressure, and there was plenty of space in the single room I booked. The free wifi was fast and did not drop out. The hotel is right on Chiswick High Road, where there are plenty of restaurants, pubs and shops. The price is just right. I paid £54 for my single room, which is a bargain in London. Chiswick is by no means central London, but given that the Tube is so close, it is a very reasonable place to stay even if you are planning to spend your days in the centre.

"Nice hotel"

4
15/03/2016

Nice hotel with great staff! We were three couples traveling here and two of the rooms were quite small while our room was big and nice. It was not far from the tube station Turnham Green. Many nice restaurants nearby! If you stay here, make sure to visit High Road Brasserie! The hotel was all in all nice and the wifi was free and very fast!

"A handy retreat in a lively part of London"

4
15/03/2016

Excellent value hotel, with good, comfortable facilities and a great breakfast. It is very convenient for a range of bars, brasseries andrestaurants etc. in Chiswick, a pleasant and lively district to stay in. I use it several times a year.

"A very nice stay at the Chiswick Best Western Hotel ..."

4
14/03/2016

Our recent stay there was very nice. The hotel renovation has been remarkably well carried out and the end product is excellent . The stay would have been absolutely perfect should we had felt a little bit more "warmth" , enthusiasm and "smiling faces" from the hotel staff ...

"Convenient location in London"

4
08/03/2016

Clean & comfortable hotel in a good location. Close to London underground tube stations. Lots of restaurants close by. Westfield Shopping Centre very close. Free parking at the hotel. Newly furbished bathroom. Modern décor in room.

"Nothing short of perfect"

5
07/03/2016

We stayed here twice when we came to London and we all really enjoyed our stay! It's in a lovely neighborhood located in an area with lots of shops and cafes and restaurants, and it is also a 5 min. walk from the nearest tube station. The hotel itself is clean and the staff are friendly. The rooms are spotless and the beds are wonderfully comfy! The hotel also offers complimentary drinks in the lobby, which we certainly took advantage of. Would definitely come back here :)

"best western chiswick"

5
04/03/2016

great hotel, spotless clean and helpful knowledgable staff, nothing too much trouble, great location and very nice area, easy to get to central london via Tube /bus AND free carparking at the hotel (but spaces are limited) It would be wrong to name helpful individuals as they are all so friendly and helpful at the hotel generally, specifically the reception area

"Week end"

02/03/2016

Nice value and closed to subway. If you like little center, quiet road, away from noise, that a nice choice. We appreciate car parking, refreshed rooms.and corridors. If you book in website.you ac' have nice price. That our 4th times there. Thanks

"PERFECTION"

WOW WOW what a beautiful clean, shining gorgeous hotel. Staff from service maids to reception kitchen staff amazing thank you The service is out of this world. Definitely be back and would recommend to everyone and anyone who will listen. Thank you for a beautiful stay. Xx

"Pleasant stay in Chiswick"

4
01/03/2016

We stayed here in a king size room for 1 night in order to go to Twickenham. Our room was fairly spacious and the bed very comfortable. It was more than adequate for our requirements and would book again.

"An adjustment"

3
25/02/2016

Our 50th stop on our trip around the world was in London at the Best Western in Chiswick. Chiswick is a really nice neighborhood and the building where the hotel is located is really nice. So far so good. The front desk people are nice for big city people. Although there is free wifi, it is really only available in the reception area. Our room (for four) was in the basement area. As such we had only one small window and basically no view. Free coffee and tea at the reception area is a plus and the dining area can be used to eat your take away food. Free parking is available on site. Coming from the US and prior to that Asia and Africa, the hotel room, including space, shower and condition of the room in general, was great adjustment.

"Dreadful "

1
23/02/2016

First impressions of this hotel are lovely, nice building, lovely spacious room. Then it all went wrong, dreadful mattress that probably should have been thrown away some years ago, I had a dreadful nights sleep on the most uncomfortable bed I have ever laid on, a bathroom with a great shower but with cracked tiles ( wall and floor ) and mildew, and an extractor fan that did not work. Breakfast, most of it was was ok, but the bacon and the scrambled egg were cold. Don't be deceived by its appearance.

"Birthday Trip to London"

4
21/02/2016

Have just returned from Chiswick this evening after staying in this hotel for the weekend. Our requirements were for a double room and a family room which I booked online with very little trouble. The hotel decoration in the reception and eating area was very modern, shiny, grey walls, tile floors and large mirrors giving overall quite a glamorous look. Breakfast was served as a buffet and the number of choices couldn't be faulted. From fruit, yoghurt, cereals and juices on to bacon, eggs, beans and sausages followed by toast or bagels with varieties of teas and coffee. At £9.99 for as much as you could eat it was very good value. The reception staff (Polish ? I think) were both charming and helpful. The family room was a great success, a large room with good size beds, one large double and two good size singles plus bathroom. It's a shame that I now have to say that our double, which was of the same high standard, was so small it could have been uncomfortable for a longer stay. In particular the bathroom was very small and I needed to come out to be able to dry off after a shower and I am only 5' 3". My unlucky partner is 6' so found it extremely cramped. Tea and coffee making available in the rooms and to.The last point I would mention is good/bad depending how you feel about a warm (very) room. We had to turn off the radiator and have the window open to be able to sleep comfortably. To sum up, an ideal short stay hotel near the centre of London, easy access to tubes and buses but little to no parking on site. Just remember try to avoid room 207.. !!

"An OK stay "

4
21/02/2016

Great location with some lovely cafes and bars near by. Stayed in the attic suite which was ideal for a family visit too. Great size with a little kitchen in the room too. Would definitely stay here again if required.

"Perfect overnight stay"

4
17/02/2016

My daughter and I stayed overnight as we had an early appointment the next morning close by and didn't want to chance being late. What a pleasant hotel this is. Spotlessly clean and very helpful and friendly staff. The rooms were well decorated and comfortable and we got a free upgrade. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation.

"London Break"

5
17/02/2016

This is an ideal place to stay when visiting London. Just 5 minute walk from the tube on the District Line and maximum 30 minutes into Central London? Plenty of places to eat and drink near the hotel with prices cheaper than city centre. Hotel is very clean and modern room on the small side but newly refurbished.

"Stayed for a day and night with wife and daughter in a family triple room- first class!"

4
17/02/2016

Well presented exceptionally clean decent quality accommodation that's also great value. Great location on Chiswick high road close to all shops restaurants etc as well as Artsed theatre school and Turnham Green tube station (ca. 10 - 15 mins walk away). Very friendly polite and helpful front of house ( thanks Soren!). In short a great place to stay for a few nights - modern clean with modern fresh decor all at an excellent price.

"Staying for business?"

3
04/02/2016

I would suggest to anyone staying that the arrive early if you are in anything bigger than a saloon car as parking is very restricted, though the porter is very helpful you may encounter a receptionist that has a curt manner and accuses you of telling lies if you request a disabled space and do not walk into the reception area with your badge

"Best Best Western"

5
29/01/2016

Can only reiterate what many others have said!! Superb position, superb rooms, superb staff, best room service menu that I have seen in some of the best hotels in the world!! Parking is limited but if you get there early it is available and once there the tube is minutes away! Pubs, shops, beauty salons and restaurants surround you! At the incredible price that we were charged I trust that they are making a profit because this is a hidden gem and deserves to survive!! Thanks for letting us stay and giving us some memorable moments!!

"Great Location, Service and Staff"

5
26/01/2016

Excellent service minded staff and super hotel! Great location near shopping and restaurants and the Tube station. The hotel let me extend an extra hour prior to my 15 hour flight to let me rest up with complimentary tea and coffee! No regrets staying here and look forward to my return!

"Lovely small Hotel"

4
25/01/2016

I was a little worried en-route to hotel because 'Booking.com' had listed the hotel as having no parking but when I arrived I found there was free parking for up to 20+ cars. The hotel is beautifully decorated and although our room was quite small and the en-suite bathroom was tiny it didn't spoil the experience. The hotel is located on a busy main road ( Chiswick High Road ) but we were never aware of any traffic noise. there is a bus stop just across the road for buses to Shepperds Bush/Hammersmith for central London which takes around an hour. If you prefer the tube the nearest station is only a ten minute walk and I believe its only 20 minutes into central London. Breakfast is taken in a very pleasant conservatory and although quite basic has more than enough hot and cold options to satisfy most appetites. Hotel staff are very pleasant and always willing to help make your stay enjoyable. The cost of our stay was very reasonable and represented excellent value for money. I will certainly stay here next time in London.

"Wonderful!"

5
24/01/2016

Booked a single room. Got a double bed, en suite and kitchen! Think breakfast is overpriced and squeaky floors meant I was awoken by the room above at 4am!!! However, I would definitely choose this hotel if I were to visit nearby again. Great value. Lovely room.

"lovely staff"

3
21/01/2016

This hotel is located in a very posh neighborhood, quite near to the subway station (walking distance). I got there very late in the evening, got mistaken with the entrance and ended-up on the staff entrance, just inside the reception. I was very well received by the staff and really felt at home, i have to say. The gentlemen helped me with the very heavy luggage into the bedroom, and that was really nice as the amount of stairs to my room, made me feel a bit desperate after some hours travelling. My room was at the main building and i was unfortunate to stay near a corridor where there was some maintenance going on at the time. I was awaken at 7 a.m. by the noise of the constructors. Apart from this detail, the room was small but comfortable. There was coffee and tea available and some cinamon biscuits too. The breakfast was also good and the balcony to the garden was definetelly a nice place to enjoy the first meal of the

"Modern Interiors, Good Service, Lovely Stay!"

19/01/2016

We booked a one night getaway as we live locally but wanted to go somewhere cheap and cheerful. We paid £60 for the night, no brekkie. The communal areas are really smart! Very impressed when we walked in, and with the free room upgrade, as well as the free hot drinks 24hrs, we were very happy. Our room was small, and not as nicely decorated as the communal areas, but absolutely fine for a Best Western. It was completely clean, no mould/dust/breakages at all. Towels provided, as well as tea and biscuits. We were very satisfied with the hotel, the room itself and the service was excellent. As a side note, I left some clothing there by accident, and called them 2 hours after we checked out, they popped it in the post the next morning and I received it today! £5 charge to do so, but I could have easily gone and collected it for free, but don't have the time. Their service and standards were great, no qualms at all! Recommended for a nice cheap getaway. Go to Kalamari Greek Restaurant (come out and turn right) if you fancy some delicious greek food!

"A quiet, clean shelter!"

5
18/01/2016

We arrived at the hotel in the middle of the night and the stuff was very kind and helpful! The room was in the basement, however it was very clean, and brand new. Great, comfortable bed, nice bathroom and a mirrored window to bring natural light. Free coffee, biscuits and tea every day, good Wi-Fi. It is located in a perfect, quiet neighborhood with local shops and cafes.

Nicely situated for Hammersmith Apollo, just half hour walk. Local to shops and High street Rooms clean but simple. Most staff friendly and helpful. Not so good point, laundry trollies being pulled about outside window at 7am.

Booked a single room which was very nicely appointed with everything to hand clean and warm and comfortable, with nice reception staff. Really nice en suite shower room, I would certainly visit again,

We booked this hotel to stay in when we went to see my daughter in a show at Arts Ed in chiswick. We wanted somewhere comfortable and not too expensive. I was delighted with this find. About 10-15 minutes walk from Turnham Green station. Friendly staff. Spotlessly clean and superb breakfast. We had one twin and two single rooms. We had actually booked 2 twins but they offered my son and I singles instead for the same price which were small but perfect for one. Lovely hot strong showers. I have just booked another break there at the end of January for the same reason. 2 singles and 2 twins this time. Looking forward to it.

It was the second stay at this hotel. It locates not so far from the London city centre, short walking distance from the underground station. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff at the check-in counter are always friendly, helpful and professional. I had an early flight to fly back and it was perfect since the hotel is a few minutes walk from the bus stop (N9) that goes straight to Heathrow.

Stayed one night. Ticked all the boxes. Good value for money on an advance prepaid booking. Would definitely stay again. Nothing too much trouble for reception staff. Room not huge (double bed for single use) but well thought out layout in terms on plugs/mirrors/tea point etc. Good shower with plenty hot water.

Excellent hotel. Clean, polished and new. Room was decent and new decor. Bathroom was splendid except for incredibly high soap dispenser by sink which meant water dropped everywhere when applying to wet hands. Amazingly had A/C in room which is a plus for a hotel in London. Really easy getting there from the Shires, just off A4M. Oddly, was quoted £60 but charged £70 when arrived with no explanation! Decent hotel for budget and within walking distance of Chiswick.

Will be staying at the hotel often and have already recommended to friend who have stayed and had the same good experience. After thorough search on various sites we decided for this hotel to stay 4 nights. 5-8 minutes walk from Metro, (direct line to Downtown), fairly good access from airport(s) via Waterloo station. Nice part of London, with some old charm, 40-45 minutes to the major sites by METRO. We got a nice double room, the staffs were helpful and friendly.

"Avoid the basement floor!"

25/11/2015

I stayed there in one of my travels to our company HQ at Chiswick Park; other options were full or too expensive as it was a very short notice visit so I thought this would be the time to try this hotel. Very clean; fully refurbished; close to the tube station; right on the Chiswick High Road with plenty of buses passing by, also fine for an evening stroll; a lot of restaurants, cafe's around; relatively cheap; staff was ok; breakfast was just enough -nothing special. But on the other hand, the room was very very small, more like a cabinet. And the room I stayed at was at the basement; literally right below the enterance of the hotel. There was a window; at first I thought it was a proper one but later I realised that it has a mirror system reflecting the light; no option to get some air. The room was terribly hot although it was 12 degrees outside and when I switched on the conditioner it got cold too quickly and the thermostat did not work properly. Also very early in the morning I started to hear people leaving the hotel carrying their luggages right above my head. Not a good experience for me. To be honest this can only be an alternative for a short stay if you have things to do around Chiswick but avoid the basement floor for sure. If you are claustrophobic, run away :)

"No restaurant"

23/11/2015

The room was great, but I should have checked that the hotel had a restaurant because when I'm on business I prefer to come down from the room and eat in the hotel rather than roam the streets trying to find some where I like the look of.

"Good stay in nice area"

22/11/2015

We were shown to a basement room but it turned out to be cozy and quiet. The hotel and staff were great, hotel modern and clean. This is the area to be in if you are tired of central London - very laid back and British. Restaurants and pubs galore, jog along the Thames, shop in Hammersmith or ruminate in the antique shops. Its proximity to Heathrow is super as well. Everyone has a kind word and don't looked stressed out. We followed the advice of some reviewers and ate breakfast out which we regretted because the hotel had a great buffe and the price was no different as the smaller cafes.

"Lovely Chiswick hotel"

This is a great place to stay on a budget in West London. It's a short walk to Turnham Green station and there's a great selection of restaurants and cafes nearby on Chiswick High Road. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfy, the staff are friendly, and they have a wide selection of free teas and coffee by the reception, which is a nice touch. I would stay again!

I found the Hotel on the internet and it looked OK and on the London map it look OK sites from London center. Sorry but it do not. It takes min 30 min. in the tube and walk from the station to the Hotel. When we arrived at the Hotel we was given a cellar room with at tiny window, but It was changed the same night that my wife suffers from claustrophobia. The new room was sites on second floor and was very small but we decided that we would be in London all day and only had to sleep there we could live with it. The breakfast - well not very much to tell, no service, small buffet, coffee from a machine so we had to stand in line several time to get a cup. Over all experience - I dont think we will come back.

14/11/2015

There is very little choice of hotels in the area of W London and this a good value with adequate free parking and buffet breakfast. Near Tube station and all shops and restaurants Rooms are modern and position perfect on ChiswicK high road I fully recommend the place if you need to stay in this area .

"Too hot to sleep"

3
14/11/2015

The hotel was not far from the tube, lots of shops close by & convenient for access into the city. Our room (510) in the basement was spacious & well decorated with a lot of nice touches. The downside was that it was just too hot to stay in there, this was in November and the heat was unbearable. There were no windows and the room was oppressively hot. The air conditioner unit although operational was totally useless. Stay here by all means but ask for a room with a window and DO NOT book room 510 until the heating is fixed.

"IDEAL BASE CLOSE TO M4"

5
11/11/2015

This is an ideal base for those visiting Olympia or London, being very close to the Hogarth Roundabout at the end of the M4, as well as the Underground We had a suite consisting of a double bed and a single. Both were full size in a room easily able to accept the furniture. We did not need to use the fair sized separate kitchen, but it looked clean and functional. The room was quiet and we were able to relax. Didn't need to eat but there seems to be a large breakfast area.

"Close to tube station, pubs and cafes"

09/11/2015

Rooms in London will be small, king size bed was really a queen. Updated bathroom very nice. Overall enjoyed. The staff on the morning shift were courteous, however we felt like we were bothering them when asking a question. The afternoon shift were much more pleasant. Did not try breakfast as it was not included in room charge (which I will need to check website again as I did not see any mention of additional charge there) Good pubs and cafes in the area. Also nice shops. Very convenient to catch the tube (underground train)

"Reasonable rates in a lovely neighborhood."

I would rate the service excellent, save the one condescending brunette female at the desk who was more interested in blaming us for the climate issue with our room than fixing the problem; a problem of which the hotel was clearly aware, as there was a large portable AC unit in the middle of our room...in the autumn. I believe that this problem stems from the way the towel warmers were installed, just a theory but you can feel the heat radiating through the bathroom floor. We arrived very late and the gentleman who showed us to our room was very helpful and kind; however, we could feel the heat rising as we climbed the stairs and my husband mentioned it as we entered. It was probably 80s, although it was supposed to be 40s (F) that night and the window was open...so this wasn't us being picky tourists. The attendant was apologetic and informed us that the hotel was at capacity, but we could change rooms the next day if the heat was a problem. The room was adequate otherwise, and we slept until very late the next day, due to the time change, jet lag and a lack of sleep. The AC unit provided worked well, but the condensation made the carpet around it quite damp and I put towels down in an effort to minimize the damage. However, I didn't discover this until after we had risen that afternoon. When we approached the woman at the desk with the problem, she shifted blame to us for not reporting the problem sooner (although we had reported the problem upon our arrival and I explained that we hadn't been up long) and then chided me for using the AC unit provided, as I explained it was leaking. Translation-the hotel was still full and no one knew what to do about the problem. She agreed to send maintenance around-who agreed that it was hot and turned the AC unit back on-and we were moved the next day. The rest of the staff were great, the second room was still warm but we had a thermostat, so wasn't a problem and the breakfast was great. Unfortunately, my treatment by the one rude employee-who should have apologized for the issue rather than treating customers like naughty children-totally soured my opinion of our stay there.

The hotel and rooms are situated in several buildings next to each other. We had reserved a double room, but on arrival I asked if it was a quiet room on the back. We were upgraded to a studio room in a side building. It was a triple room with kitchen as well as a shower room. The kitchen was quite large, with sink, hob, fridge, toaster and microwave, but there was no equipment. No pans for the hob, no cooking utensils, only three plates, bowls, knives, forks and spoons. We were delighted to have the fridge and wine glasses, but anyone paying for the kitchen facilities might want more than this very basic provision. The room was clean and comfortable, generous supply of towels and hot water etc. We had reserved parking and were able to leave the car there for our two day stay. The hotel is very well located, being close to bars, cafes, restaurants, convenience food stores and a wide range of interesting shops. It is a few minutes walk to Turnham Green station, very quick into central London.or east to Kew Gardens. We clearly got a good deal, but I think I would have been happy with our original booking. It is a middle range hotel, value for money and we would stay here again.

"Great Location"

We have stayed at this hotel on several occasions. The Hotel is in a great location in cheswick. Just on the high road, close to shops, bars and cafes. The hotel and rooms are very clean and well presented, and the hotel has recently undergone a refurbishment. The staff are very helpful, and when thay realised that several of our family were all staying at the same hotel, the staff moved our rooms to ensure that we were all close together.

01/11/2015

Location is quite close to underground train station, hotel is on a busy main road (very noisy) can't leave your windows open if you are situated in the front of the hotel, make sure you get a room at the end rear, room 202 has shower bath but is only good if you are 4ft tall. When checking in the staff were very speedy and friendly. I booked a double room which is a little on the small side, the room is very clean and modern, you have all the extras that one would need, wifi is very good but there are limits on whaht you can download. Television channels are limited (no sport channels) and if you are travelling from Europe there are no German, French, Italian, Spanish channels only English. Breakfast is average, on my first day the food was Luke warm and the fried eggs were hard and leathery the sausages are the cheapest that one can buy. Chiswick High St has plenty of restaurants and pubs all London prices.

Stayed for four days on a sightseeing trip to London and enjoyed it so much we shall be staying again in the spring .Very pleased with the hotel and especially our room which was clean and comfortable. Special praise for the bathroom ,very modern and bright. Prices are reasonable and I was able to park in the hotel car park with no difficulty. Staff at reception were polite and helpful and recommended a trip to Fullers Brewery which is close by ...enjoyed the tour. The location is very good . Chiswick is pleasant and has a good selection of shops , pubs and restaurants also good train and bus connections for central London.

Stayed at this hotel during the rugby world cup. The staff was friendly and helpful and the hotel clean and tidy. A good breakfast is included in the room rate and I regard it as good overall value for money. Closest subway station is Turnham Green and about 10 minute's walk away. Only negative is that not all windows can open and one of our group members had a room without an aircon - make sure upon booking that you clarify this.

This is an updated older hotel, quaint and clean, and very handy to the tube. The village itself is lovely, with lots of shops and restaurants. It's close to the Thames, which has a great walking path. The rooms are small but adequate and very clean. We would definitely stay here again.

18/10/2015

Stayed here solo for one night on a Saturday in September 2015. I was visiting friends for a party and so wanted somewhere relatively near to their place - this hotel was ideal as it's about 10 minutes walk from Turnham Green tube and in a great location on Chiswick High Road, which has plenty of shops and restaurants. Check-in was smooth - despite being busy, there were 3 receptionists and they found my booking quickly. I was offered the opportunity to upgrade / include breakfast but declined as there was a Sainsbury's just down the road. My single room was downstairs in the basement - it was small but more than adequate for a one night stay. It had a comfy single bed - despite me being 6ft, I had ample room in the bed and the linen was all very clean - a desk and chair, kettle, tea & coffee facilities & biscuits, flat screen TV, hanging space and a decent air con unit. As you'll see from the pictures, there wasn't really a view as it was a basement room but that didn't bother me. The bathroom was also very modern and small but perfectly formed - the shower cubicle was big enough and had plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The towels were good quality and spotlessly clean. The free wifi had good signal (even in the basement) and was fairly quick - it was needed though as I didn't have great mobile signal in the room for obvious reasons. I didn't hear any noise during the night really - did hear some guest going past in the afternoon, but other than that, it was silent despite being by the stairs. Overall, as I literally just wanted a place to sleep and spent most of the time elsewhere, this was an ideal room for a short stay - if you've got luggage and / or have a longer stay or will spend more time in your room, you might want to look for somewhere bigger - in terms of location and value for money, I was very pleased.

"Good location with secure parking"

This is a smart, modern Best Western with tiny rooms with barely more space than for a double bed. It is also noisy overnight, we had a lot of loud excitable Spanish co-residents who woke us throughout the night chatting in the hall and slamming doors. However, the good outweighs the bad, it is nice and tidy, beds are comfy, the area is really busy and pleasant, you get secure free parking and the tube in 5 minutes walk away. The city is about 20-25 minutes by tube. Lots of eateries nearby, too, and pleasant staff.

"An average hotel in a good neigbourhood"

Hotel: The hotel consists of multiple buildings and it seems to depend in which building your located how much you will enjoy your stay. It feels more like a combination of 5 houses than a real hotel. Different than I am used to but not bad to be honest. it does have free Wifi! Price: Prices are average for what you pay to be honest. It's not much, but without breakfast included not cheap either. Room: The rooms differ quite a lot, we were located in one of the side buildings and had 3 totally different rooms. 1 was a single bedroom which was really small, one was a larger double room but the bathroom was really old and the last one was a double with a bath in it and looked a bit newer. Strange to see so many differences in rooms. The biggest reason for giving this hotel a 3 is the noise. The rooms are really, really noisy. When somebody in the building takes a shower, you will notice this because of the noise, so if one of the residents decide to take a shower at 6 in the morning, there is a good chance you will wake up because of this! Furthermore not airco seems to be present, not a problem during our stay, but it might get warm during peak summer! bathroom: Not bad, just average and like stated before differences per room. Services: The staff is friendly and the lady walked us to the building. we didn't use any other services in the hotel. Food: We didn't use the food service but there are a lot of dining options close by. neighborhood: Good and nice neighborhood, it felt safe and contains a lot of shops of which a few are open 24/7. i would recommend the area for a stay in londen. The hotel is also close to the metro station which is also a big +. Parking: didn't use the parking, but the lot is really small, wouldn't recommend staying here if you own a big car :). Overall: Overall it's a nice hotel, but i expected more from best western. The noise levels in the room where the most annoying and make me more annoyed. The most important thing for me when staying in a hotel is a good bed, a good shower/bath and a quiet place to get some sleep. Unf. this hotel lacked a lot on the latest point.

"Hidden little gem"

13/10/2015

I had booked a double room via Booking.com and the check-in process was smooth and I was ensconced in my room within 10 minutes. I had chosen this venue as it was on the underground District line from Heathrow airport and close to the location of the Blogger's conference I came to attend. I had requested a ground floor room at the time of the reservation as I was unsure if they would have a working elevator. Fortunately, the hotel has been recently renovated and they have both an elevator to the upper floors, as well what appears to be a lift of sorts into the basement for wheelchair bound guests. The room itself was small, but since I would be out or alone for most of the time, it wasn't really a problem. Everything had a place and the layout optimized the use of space. A small wardrobe fit into an alcove between the bed and the bathroom door and also housed the ironing board and built in safe. The one bedside table was adequate for my needs. The en-suite bathroom was cosy enough for one person and had a toilet, shower and hand basin unit with sufficient storage for toiletries. If I have one pet peeve about hotel bathrooms, it is that they sometimes tend to be less than immaculate in terms of cleanliness. My heart literally skipped a beat when I checked the shower tiles and saw no visible grime. Similarly, when I inspected the areas surrounding the hand basin and couldn't even spot a speck of dust! Every day when I returned from my outings, the room would be restored to an immaculately clean and pristine condition. The complimentary beverages and cookies were restocked in the room on a daily basis, and I was informed that I could also use the complimentary beverage facilities in the hotel lounge. I did not avail of the hotel's buffet breakfast as I left early on most days and preferred to eat on my outings. It may be included as an optional extra when making the booking, or even later when you decide to partake of it. The hotel has free wifi in the rooms and public areas and I was able to connect via more than one device at the same time. In the evenings I sometimes took a walk down the Chiswick High Road for dinner, and the variety of establishments in such a small suburb are remarkable. In addition to cafes, there were also a number of artisanal cheese shops, bakers and delis within walking distance to the hotel. On the day of my check out the front of house staff called a taxi service for me to the airport, as I realized at the last minute that I had no inclination to cart my expanded luggage to the station. The ride to Heathrow Terminal 3 lasted approximately 20 minutes and I was deposited at the entrance to the terminal.

Immaculate, stylish spacious, well appointed ground floor room, comfortable bed, with extra hot drink facilities in the lounge area. The hotel was on the main High Road, and only a 5-6 minute walk from Turnham Green underground station. Very pleasant area, well served by a fantastic selection of eateries. All staff extremely polite and helpful.

Great beautiful updated hotel that is a perfect stay for anyone touring London! The prices of the rooms are extremely reasonable. We could walk to the tube and get to all the amazing sites of London. Staff were excellent! The hotel rooms, although small, were very clean and the hotel is tastefully decorated. A perfect location as the community is very beautiful and some of the best restaurants around! I will definitely be back and cannot think of a more perfect place to stay!

If you stay here check the room is adequate. Our basement room had a bathroom so small that you had to dry off in the bedroom after a shower! 2 people could not be in the room at the same time. There was constant running water noises, presumable because we had basement room. Didnt sleep well. It was overpriced for what we had. The hotel is clean and tidy and the staff fine. Breakfast average.

Probably its London. So its kinda small. You will find it hard to move your body. Probably this is single room with single bed. This is room 102. Facing behind so less noisy. Breakfast included. Expensive at £100. Free tea and coffee all day. 4GB data per device of wifi.

Stayed here for 2 nights with my husband. It's in a lovely area with plenty of choice for eating out. Close to tube and bus routes. Room was clean but small and at the top of the building (in an annex). It was cramped but I suppose ok and functional. We didn't have breakfast as there were so many places on the High Street. In the main reception area you could help yourselves to tea and coffee. You have to get there early in the day to secure a parking place. Narrow entrance to car park.

We spent a couple of nights taking in the sights in London and stayed at Best Western, Chiswick. A recently modernised and very pleasant hotel in easy reach of London town. Sparkling clean with friendly staff and not too far away from the District underground line. No one bothered us and we enjoyed a comfortable and relaxing stay. Highly recommended.

We booked in here for a local family wedding and had a double and a twin room. The booking in process took a little time but only because the very pleasant manager was trying to ensure that we got upgraded. Having stayed in a number of tiny London rooms on business, I was pleased to see that we had a room which was lovely and clean, seating area, good lighting, air conditioning, free wifi and a decent bathroom. The twin room was fine as well. I am unable to comment on the food as we chose to eat breakfast out at the various cafes close by. The hotel is situated within easy reach of lots of pubs, restaurants and cafes and 2 tube stations. I would definitely stay in this hotel again if I need to go back to Chiswick.
