Best Western Capital Beltway Washington DC

This hotel gets a yes on my recommendation list. During the day I relaxed in a comfortable king-sized bed and at night me and my girlfriends went downstairs to the bar/lounge for a few drinks and listen to music.

Know what you're getting - You get what you pay for - decent breakfast is extra $10, only an outdoor pool, had signs of age to the property. Wanted the complimentary shuttle to/from Metro, but that only worked once in the three times we wanted it. Walking distance to many restaurants, we were there to be close to touring DC, so we didn't stay much in the actual hotel. Restaurant on the property is really a lounge, and on Friday night there was live music we could hear from our 4th floor room.

This place is in the middle of nowhere. The room was old and dirty. The vent fan in the bathroom was so clogged with dust balls and dirt, very like air could be vented out. There is a night club on the first floor and I could hear it on the 6th floor. Most of the electrical outlets didn't work as plugs couldn't stay in them. They need to be replaced. The smell of pot was evident throughout the 6th floor even at 3:30am when I got up because of the noise in the hall. The kicker for me was they wanted $50 to check in 50 minutes early. Iwas told this was hotel policy. So I sat in the lobby until the manager checked me in 10 minutes early at no charge. I have traveled all over the world (25 different countries) and this is one of the worse hotels I've been in. I would not recommend this at all.

It was not clean and had stains that made it look even worse. I had trouble using my charger because most of the outlets would not hold any plug. It just falls right out. Yellow lighting (not soft just yellow) made the room feel darker and sad. And though housekeeping was friendly and tried their best, they could not keep the sheets from dragging along the dirty floor when they changed the bed. They were of a short height, but there HAS to be a better way. The carpet was just so gross.

From check in to check out. This was by far one of the worst experiences I've ever had in my life and I'd say I spend about 2/3 of the year traveling from hotel to hotel or Airbnb to Airbnb and also tell you this Best Western is usually my favorite place to go or at least it was before about a year ago and then it started just like going down like the service and the attitude of the staff was becoming terrible and as a business person who owns a business if I ever saw anyone through one of my customers I've been treated I'd fire them immediately and make sure that they were given the worst References when being called from the next employer. to sum it up it was rude from front to back. I could never even fit all that I have to say into this form, but the front desk person robbed me literally to my face with an excuse that I can't verify so he took my security deposit and put in his pocket. The whole staff was rude, except for the cleaning team who is very sweet and helpful. each member of the staff either yelled at me like literally raised their voice at me for things that I had no clue about like the fact they had to pay for the meals there like $10 for breakfast even if you just want a cuppa coffee and if you go back upstairs and come back down, you have to pay another $10 and even my kid who would only eat one pancake had to pay $10 to eat it. Don't let them for you there with the two pans and all the set up to make omelettes and stuff because if they don't like the way you look, I guess they're just not going to serve you anything or cook you any of it or even offer so it's a giant waste of time and money. if you have any issues with anything while you're there don't bother calling because they're not gonna help you they're gonna make you feel bad about it and try to reverse manipulate you into feeling like it's your fault. Don't bother trying out the highest member that you can be there which is like diamond status I could barely get a half an hour of late check out and he made me feel like he was doing me a favor by doing that when I know for a fact that I should get laid check out basically like for free and when I asked for 2 o'clock he said it would be $50 an hour extra which would equal the same amount as staying for one more day, and I try to stay for one more day he couldn't somehow split between two cards nor could he give me my security deposit back because a friend of mine was the one that handed it to him. Needed to see her ID.

We chose this hotel location instead of the 'downtown DC hotel pricing'. We easily took a Metro ride to the New Carrolton Station. Our hotel shuttle, with Shaan driving, was a pleasant experience. This was my 2nd stay and we will be back.

During the day, the hotel looks nice and smells clean. However, it's too noisy at night due to party club nightlife, and the smell of recreational drug activities. Also, there needs to be some interior renovations in the bedroom and restrooms.

Everything was wonderful, the people were nice and friendly. And professional. The hotel room was clean and quiet the pool water was nice water was cold, but that can't be helped it wasn't that hot outside. I loved every bit of my time spent there.

It's as you would expect from a Best Western. The rooms were a good standard of repair and cleanliness and the staff were friendly and helpful. There was a function on the first night we stayed so it was busy and lively. The pool was really nice. There was a shuttle which picked us up from the metro station. We got the bus to the metro on the way because the shuttle only runs once per hour (which they hadn't mentioned when I asked for the times). The bus stop is just outside but you need a travel card as they don't take cash. Luckily the driver took pity on us and let us ride anyway. The metro into the city was very quick and easy. Since the hotel was on a big interchange there were very few restaurants you could walk to but plenty within easy driving distance.

This was the worse hotel stay that I have ever had. I will never recommend this place to anyone. The club and restaurant was good from what I heard! However, it still doesn't make up for the nastiness!

First there was so much noise in the hall, finding out that there's an on-site club but that wasn't the icing, had to switch room three times because something wasn't working. Just such an inconvenience when you've been on the road and seeking rest.

Worst hotel in Washington Metropolitan Area! The customer service is horrible and the hotel is even more horrible!!! It's a waste of your money and stay at this hotel. Appearance of hotel is much better. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

Unfortunately, I would not recommend this hotel. During our stay, we arrived back to the hotel late after a concert and there was no parking. The hotel was hosting an event and prioritized event guests over hotel guests. We were told that we would likely need to wait until 1:30 AM to find a parking spot. We had to end up parking next door in a loading zone and then had to wake up early to move our car to ensure it wasn't towed. Once we finally arrived to the room around 1AM, the music from the event was extremely loud. We called the front desk and they told us that it wouldn't be turned down and it would stop at ~2 AM. We were unable to get any sleep until after 2:15 AM, which was not ideal given we had traveled in from another state that day. It was overall an unpleasant experience. It was clear that the hotel cared more about making money off of that event than they did about their hotel guests. At minimum, the hotel should have been transparent at check-in that there would be no parking that evening because they would give all parking spaces to event guests and that they would be playing loud music until 2AM. Very unpleasant experience.

Weekend here was very noisy but if you're into a club scene, then I guess this is the place to go !! Most staff helpful, all polite. Rooms clean, beds comfortable, good value and great location for DC visits or events.

I enjoyed my stay in the hotel, the services were beyond my expectations, quick and positive feedback from customer service. Serene and peaceful environment.. my privacy was respected, easy accessibility to the hotel

Agree with other reviewers. Staff was very unfriendly, everyone looked at me like I didn't belong there ('cause I'm white?), room was small and while in bed a fly fell from ceiling onto our bed. Signs posted for breakfast but found out we needed to pay $10 each. Also, was forced to leave $100 deposit when I checked in, looked on hotel's website and no mention of this. We had 2 queen beds but one had a such a deep depression you could not sleep in it without waking up with a very bad back. Terrible experience.

Staff had bad attitudes, felt unsafe as an intoxicated person male started yelling and screaming how he was going to set the floor on fire and shoot up the place I called the front desk and they answered like they were pissed off that I was calling to complain. We were also lied to about the amenities

Check everything (water for leaks, bed for bugs, etc.) We did not have a good stay here. There were fleas in the bed and I was bit all on my arms, I told the front desk but it seems that nothing was done. the breakfast eggs were over done but the gentleman was nice. There was a party and it was so loud until 2:30AM. The shower head was leaking which caused the bathroom floor to be wet and dangerous at night when trying to use the bathroom. I can't recommend this place.

My room was very nice. So much elbow room. King size bed. Desk & chair. Even a sofa in my room. Air circulation was definitely a plus. I found it to be extremely clean & safe. I even liked the key lock. Plenty of parking.

Quick 1 night stop over, great service, room clean and everything in full working order. Night club was hopping, wish we had another night to stay over and check it out! Called ahead to make sure room available and excellent customer service on phone and then when came on site.

Rooms are severely outdated & our room had roaches. Upon check out my husband did tell the attendant. I have nothing else to say but I can't submit because of the number of characters needed. I will. T

The bed sheets and pillow cases were either dirty or stained. The complementary breakfast was $10. We couldn't go in the "hotel bar" because they were using it for dance lessons. Yeah go figure that one out. But the ladies at the front desk were all very nice.

This was a great stay for us from the check in to the check out. We thoroughly enjoyed the club lounge and breakfast. We will be back again to party and stay over night again. Party and then take a ride on the elevator!!!

The rooms are nice and clean. The workers are very polite each time you ask any question. Their restrooms are beautifully cleaned. The breakfast room is top of the line. Clean with delicious recipes. Nice beverages, Hot coffee and Hot Tea to mentioned but few.

My wife and I had to take an unexpected trip from Ohio to Maryland to visit her father in the hospital after having a fall at his care center. When we arrived we found that the room we were assigned since we signed up with Agoda was directly above the loud nightclub. We upgraded from our $275 stay to a $445 stay. We were placed on the fifth floor. We could hear the loud crowd in the parking lot all night and around 2:00 am and 3:00 am those who were staying on the floor where we were staying were in the halls yelling and laughing like they were at the park on a Sunday afternoon visit. I even witnessed a couple having sex in the hallway when I went out to ask the guest to quiet down; who replied that they had paid to stay as well. It was that way for the two nights we stayed. We decided to leave before I got into trouble shutting them up. The staff was great, some of their clientele have not an ounce of respect for others and no class. I would not recommend staying here unless you are an all-night partier looking for a place to recover from the nightclub festivities!

The Hotel needs to be cleaned from TOP to BOTTOM. before you get in the room the rugs in the hallways are disgusting, the elevators are to small. I didnt want to try the food because I was scared. It's giving Best Western a bad name!

I stayed at the Best Western Capital Beltway hotel for a weekend. It is roughly twenty minutes by car from D.C. proper. The room was clean, and the outdoor pool was well maintained. The hot breakfast buffet was good, and the front desk staff was helpful. If you want a stay that is not amidst all of the hustle and bustle, then I recommend this hotel.

My husband and I booked a night at the Best Western Capital Beltway for an impromptu overnight to see the Cherry Blossoms in DC. We weren't expecting much - just a comfortable place to sleep - but we didn't even get that from this hotel. Check-in was a bit of a mess. When we arrived, there was only a short line with one person in front of us. When it was our turn, one of the front desk staff was helping us when a man came down to cause a huge scene over the fact that his room didn't have a microwave. Apparently, he had food to reheat and was upset that he couldn't do so in his room as expected. He kept apologizing to us for interrupting then simultaneously continuing to yell at the woman helping us, which delayed our check-in by about 10 - 15 minutes as the staff politely tried to help him and offered to heat up his food for him. He asked her to heat it up for 8 minutes in some foam takeout box. The staff member suggested heating it for a shorter time because she was worried the takeout box couldn't handle that amount of time in the microwave, which only further escalated the yelling from the guy who was demanding a refund on his stay because he shouldn't have to pay for a room with no microwave. It was a fitting start to our stay. For the record, our room had a microwave that we didn't need or use. The room itself wasn't very comfortable but wasn't horrible. It smelled a bit off and needed some serious updating. The cleanliness of the bathroom wasn't as good as it could have been and the chain on the door was kind of gross and rusty, but the bed was ok enough and the temperature control was fine. The worst part of our stay was the noise. The lobby was constantly full of loud, obnoxious people, as there seemed to be some sort of club entrance on that floor. There was a ton of noise downstairs and in the parking lot at all times with people screaming at full volume and blasting music from their cars, well into the night. We drowned out the noise by putting the air conditioning on as high as possible and finally fell asleep, but it wasn't a restful night at all. The room was cheap but not cheap enough for the quality. We paid $96.05 for the night and barely got any sleep. I'd definitely avoid this place if you're looking to get any amount of rest!

Manager was extremely rude upon check in. When booking, we were not told there is a loud night club open until 230am nor were we told there would be no refrigerator or microwave. It's 2022, how tf do you not have a basic refrigerator in your hotel room. We were notified it's going to be noisy until 230am and we are on the second floor directly above the "night club". When we asked if there was another option other than staying directly above the night club, we were told we could cancel and leave. Piss poor customer service. Do not book.

I was put in room 216 right over a known every Saturday event with DJ and very loud music. The staff obviously was aware of this and put customers in this room anyway. I should have been made aware of this at check-in and given the option the finding another accommodations in another hotel.

We stayed one night at the Best Western Capitol Beltway. We were very pleased with our room...clean and extremely comfortable beds. Pam checked us in with a BIG smile and pleasant personality. We took advantage of their breakfast option...again excellent! So many choices, including omelets which were prepared for us by Thierry..another friendly happy individual. Pleasant and happy people who seem to truly enjoy their employment are few and far between these days with all the stress in our daily world. We were beyond pleased with our stay and highly recommend this hotel.

My mom, uncle and I traveled with our two service dogs, the check-in staff was friendly, welcoming and discreet. Throughout our trip, security staff at tourist attractions were rude to us exposing us out in public as to why we needed service dogs & to show paperwork. The hotel staff was more than discreet and just asked a few questions without being rude or disrespectful to our needs. Friendly to us, to our dogs. We were blown away with the breakfast, despite having "limited" choices, the buffet has more than enough food to go around and fill you up. Our server in the buffet was super attentive since the moment we walked in until we walked out. I am very satisfied with our visit at Best Western

Good hotel with nice amenities. Lounge is very noisy at night when open and can cause sleeping issues if you don't bring earplugs. Location is just off interstate but takes some effort getting to hotel. Room decor is dated. Bed is comfy. Unclear where breakfast buffet was since it looked closed while it was supposed to be open. Good hotel for price paid, but it's just a good hotel.

Lady at the front was not upfront with the deposit. We should of been told what the deposit was before she ran the card. Bathroom tub was dirty. Only set of 2 towels and no housekeeping for 2 days. We were in a rush so we didnt say anything at first but we did when we checked out. The sink was weird when i tried to put it on low it was leaking on to the counter. Just not a good experience at all

This was the first time we scheduled are large group weekend event at the hotel. The staff was very courteous and helpful. Our rooms were ready, serviced and clean. We used the conference room and attended the club in the evening. The music, food and drinks were great. We also enjoyed the morning breakfast. We definitely plan to hold the event here next year.

Very close to the Metro. Perfectly adequate room. The club downstairs gets a little loud, but turning the TV on completely drowns it out. For the price I think this place would be very hard to beat. I would definitely stay again for any future DC trips.

Guests room cleanliness is great. Mattress quality is good for sound sleep. Overall, I had a great experience with the (Best Western); staff was incredibly helpful, and the amenities were great. The room was wonderful, clean, and perfect to celebrate in the weekend.

When I am in the area, I can depend on Best Western Capital Beltway to have friendly and helpful staff. I know that I will walk into a clean and safe environment as well. I have been traveling to this area for nine years and have enjoyed staying with Best Western Capital Beltway...I am a satisfied customer!

I stayed at the Best western Capital beltway this past weekend, and everything was on point Staff rooms. I always enjoy my stay, i visited the club good music. I will return in the near future for a up coming event.

I am in the area every week for work. I have stayed at this hotel 2 times now. Both times they have kept my $100 "incidental" deposit as they call it. I call it a scam!! if you want to pay extra, and not get it back like you are supposed to then this is a great hotel for you. Its a scam!! I called and spoke to a guy at the front desk, he said it is common for the hotel to keep the deposit money. I am just out $200 now, $100 for each stay. Just lost a lot of business from me and my co-workers. Hope the $200 is worth it

i always love coming here. not far from airport. has stuff to do near by. the staff if friendly and the rooms are kept clean. Mrs.Judy and Helen both are a joy to work with. thanks for always being so nice to me.

I stayed at this hotel because of the great reviews and great price. I was disappointed in my stay to say the least. My non-smoking room WREAKED of smoke and was not the cleanest, my room lacked amenities that were said to be included, breakfast was not included in the total bill like I was initially told, breakfast was overpriced, had limited selections and tasted mediocre. Location was okay.

We were unaware of the open bar until 3am, the bumping music could be felt and heard on the 6th floor. The reason we chose this hotel was it was near our event and it's PARKING because we have a truck with 25' trailer, but when we pulled in around midnight from our event on Saturday night we could hardly maneuver around the parking lot because of bar customers. There were several noise issues in the hall and adjoining rooms with drunks doing some strange things. The surrounding area that several times leaked into the hotel area was horrendous. Thank goodness for your staff, they were exceptional in all aspects of our stay, going above and beyond. We left a day early and without hesitation she only charged us for our 3 nights, not the 4 we had reserved. That was done without us even asking, we travel full time and appreciated that so much because of no sleep we were quite tired so we were exceptionally happy we didn't have a struggle about the invoice.

Room hadn't been cleaned by the time my husband and I checked in at 1100 PM, front desk seemed annoyed that I asked for a new room, and they claimed my reservation hadn't been paid for so that took some time to sort. They also have stopped offering free breakfast which wasn't an issue for me but my husband does have issues requiring a regular eating schedule. The website advertised free breakfast, so we were VERY disappointed about that. IF you get the right room, clean, on the first try, it's fine! A good deal, even, for a two-star hotel. But don't waste your time if you want a stress-free stay.

room was clean, staff was friendly, plenty of parking. biggest issue we had was there is a night club on the bottom floor...that you can hear. all. night. long. we stayed on 4th floor, the thumping is real even up that high. I believe the advertised hrs for it are open until 3am. i read another review during our stay where someone said they could still hear it on 6th floor, which i believe is the top floor here. the common area/lobby was nice & clean, but we were pretty disappointed that our room (2 double beds) didn't have a fridge (or microwave, but i usually don't use those). i just assumed that was a standard ammenity in 2021, but i guess not. & when you really don't have a breakfast being offered in the morning (or you don't wanna wake up that early for breakfast b/c the club kept you up all night), it's nice to at least have a cold bottle of pop or something waiting for you in the fridge when you wake up. you can definitely do worse than this place, but if ever in the area, again, i will look somewhere else.

Clean room ,bathroom very clean,noise free and police will remove your car if you don't belong there.So safe place to stay.Club on Friday and Saturday for fun. All things you need in room.. Clean appliances, flooring and smells fresh.

The hotel was very Clean, however, there were absolutely no amenities, no breakfast and came with a refrigerator and microwave. There is a HOT club on site! Stay away from the RED LOBSTER, curbside pickup was great but food was burnt.

I WILL NEVER RESERVE NOR STAY AT THIS BEST WESTERN. The manger thinks that she is above reproach or correction. When a guest makes a legitimate complaint to her. She doesn't try to resolve it with them, yet she will tell her staff to have them blocked from making any reservation or staying there again. some needs to be done by the Corp. Office. she shows that she has all power there and even has the owner in her pocket. I was totally disappointed after having a discussion with her about me belongings that was left in my room, as well as a clerk allowing another guess to rent the room and then gave me the same room, and I walked in on them unannounced to both of our surprise

Check in could have been faster. I checked in at night and there was a line and it took more than a 30 minutes wait. The hotel and the room was clean and comfortable. It was sufficient and there was plenty of parking.

Everything was nice Staff was on point. The rooms was clean, nice Deco. The Club was nice, Drinks great people was very friendly. The bathrooms was clean. If you like to party and don't was to drink and drive then the Bestwestern is the place to be.

The hotel was very clean, but also very basic. It could use some updating in terms of the rooms. They looked antiquated despite having some newer amenities. The furniture itself was older and the carpet needs replacing. The colors were also very drab. We did like the fact that we could have adjoining rooms.

Wife and I came in with 4 kids (1 baby) and got the baby to bed at 10pm after traveling. The front desk lady calls at 10:20 to have me sign something because we used a Best Western Rewards gift card. I asked if it could wait until morning and she said it could not. When I get down there, all it was was acknowledgment that we were in the room. Already did that at check in. Also, upon arrival, the bathroom smelled like an elephant pen. It's morning and I'm down at the lobby to grab breakfast and coffee and the front desk clerk is snoring behind the front desk. “Classy” place.

would highly recommend staying away from this hotel it smell its dirty would of left but they would not refund me the carpet in room was so dirty our socks were white when we left the next morning the were black

The front desk clerk didn't inform me about the 100.00 security deposit per room, the bathrooms were very small and the iron damaged a 100.00 Ralph Lauren shirt. They need to be more forth coming about all charges. Part 2 After I returned to Atlanta I received a call from the general manager(Helen Lyon) who basically stated that you use the iron at your own risk. I will say that she offered an apology for my damaged shirt however, she refused to compensate me for my loss on the property. I think this is poor business practice. To replace my shirt was 116.00 which I had not planned to spend on another shirt. I thanked her for her call, time and apology however, this was the first and last time that my family will ever stay at the Best Western Capital Beltway @ 5910 Princess Garden Pkwy, Lanham, MD 20706

this is a “cheaper” hotel ($100 for 1 night) but we have been to way better for $100. it was 2am when we arrived and took so long to check in that we almost fell asleep on the chair waiting to check in. when we walked in it smelled strongly of cigarettes... then we noticed a bunch of crumbs and s yellow stain on bed by the pillows... tried calling but the phone was so sticky and nasty we just went downstairs instead. My boyfriend explained how there were crumbs and asked for new “covers” and she responded with “you mean sheets?” . we also forgot our toothbrushes and the tooth brushed were so think like cheap plastic forks and she said there was no toothpaste. after seeing the dirty bed and phone everything else felt sooo uncomfortable... what else dont they clean? I have pictures for proof. I don't understand how there were crumbs if bed was made so im assuming the previous person didnt sleep in the bed just ate in it so they didnt even bother changing that beds sheets!

After spending the day seeing the sights of Washington DC, we stopped in at the Best Western Capital Beltway. Nice, clean hotel about 25 minutes from DC. Would definitely recommend to anyone passing through the area!

Peaceful rest. Older Hotel but updated. Being in the Industrial Hygiene fields and performing IAQ evaluations, I do care for bathroom and adjacent room with wallball. Mold can growth from taking showers.

I was pleased with this hotel. People were nice. The hotel and grounds were well maintained. It was quite. We asked them to take care of a couple of things and they did. I didn't know the area and it turned out that we were a long way from the sites we wanted to see. The traffic in Washington is the worst I have ever had to drive in so this was a problem. That isn't BW fault, as my wife said " You should have done a better job researching."

Great stay only 2 blocks from campus! Incredibly clean room. Very comfortable bed! Great front desk service! Good breakfast (even during COVID). Will certainly continue to stay there for all our upcoming visits.

Staff at BW Lanham is exceptional. Warm and friendly and goes out of their way to accommodate. Been there 10+ times and never had a cleanliness complaint. Any minor repair issues were quickly addressed. Although I travel alone, I feel they have my safety as a priority.

I have never experienced an uncomfortable moment with the staff here in BW in Lanham. They are always willing to assist, always friendly and outgoing. Your comfort is their business. The rooms are clean (the room feel and smell during this pandemic has been awesome). Thanks for being above the rest.

I would tell all my friends, family, business associates to stay here always . Convent to get to any place you would love to visit, dinner, Washington, zoo. Museum, White House etc. Love and respect best western hotel

My stay at the Best Western Capital Belt way was nice, The rooms was clean the staff was very Professional as always. i will stay there on my next stay. Loction was ok. Never had any problems with my stay here.

We stayed 2 nights, so we could have time to tour Washington D.C. without paying the big price for a room, since we were not going to be in it much. The lobby of the hotel was quite impressive, the rooms were average. Breakfast was plentiful but not all the food items were very hot. Overall, a good deal for our purposes.

My 1st stay here was ok. Decided to stay again. This will be my last time. Hole in carpet. Odor in room. Lumpy and uncomfortable bed. The rooms are in need of immediate updating and new carpet. Dont be fooled by the nice looking lobby. Front desk staff was nice and friendly.

This hotel used to have amenities that it doesn't offer anymore. Like indoor year round pool, free breakfast. For the price you might as well stay at the RedRoof up the street since they aren't offering amenities anymore.

Great location!Free shuttle. It's convenient to go to the metro going to DC area. Surrounded with a lot of restaurants. Lounge and restaurant is spacious and clean. People who were working there are helpful and pleasant. We will be back again soon

The location of this hotel is very easy to get to. I travel alone and just need a place to sleep. Staff is always really nice. Like all Best Westerns, the facility is clean and safe. This is a wonderful value for the location.

I paid for a room I never received I was booking for the next day and was given a booking for that. night I was trying to book for Saturday night but the app had me booked for 2.5 hours from the time I was booking . When I called in the afternoon to confirm my room they told me I was a no show for the day before. I was terribly upset as this was a special occasion for my partner and we were not given any way to resolve the disappointing issue . I have tried to reach the general manager and the accountant as this was the only advice the people at the desk could give me . I did call Best Western costumer services head office and they told me I would have to handle it through the Beltway hotel it self I have been trying to reach them for a week now .I am so disappointed with the service..

I arrived early and the staff was able to let me check in early. The hotel is a little older but very quiet and provided a great nights sleep. Breakfast was a good option of both hot and cold variety. Nice place for the price.

I thought the hotel was a bit over priced, at the least a complementary cup of coffee would have been nice, My sister in law was charged 3.00 for a cup of coffee one day, the next day it was 2.00 My sister was charged 3.00 for the same lousy cup of coffee, the staff was very friendly , the rooms could have been a bit cleaner, I was not aware of the bar and grill with a band to boot, which last until 3 or 4 am, with a repeat the next night with out the band but lots of noise. With all that a complementary cup of coffee would have been nice or if the staff knew the correct price, ( are guest being scammed ?) All was not bad the location was great.

No refrigerators or microwaves in the rooms. And they lied about the free breakfast so me and two little children I had with me had to go out in the cold for breakfast because the one at the hotel was $15 per person!

The young lady never clean our room like she said she would . Internet was very slow , and it must have party night on every floor because it very noisy and also nowhere to park. Will never stay here again the front desk was extremely nice but everything else completely suck

Nice staff, convenient room, below avarage bathroom, complementary coffee, noicy door shuts until midnight that start over 6-7 am, poor location, metro bus available, new carrollton metro an rail station in 5 min by bus.

I was staying at the hotel with my mother for 6 days. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. It was also nice to have a fridge, microwave and coffemachine in room. The staff was really friendly and the shuttlebus worked great. The Shuttlebus drove to and from New Carrolton station every hour, you just had to call the hotel in advance to get picked up. All in all a great stay :D

The Location was great and very convienence to shopping and to the beltway. The Hotel itself has Friday night dancing, and Sunday Moring Church worship. The Parking lots was very secure and being monitored by security.

Our experience with the Best Western Capital Beltway was exceptionally good. Upon arrival we noticed how well the elegant property appeared to be maintained. The parking lot looked freshly sealed and striped. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our 6th floor room was well appointed and clean. The elevators were clean and prompt. The service and food in the on-site restaurant/lounge was very good and they offer a wide menu. Their free shuttle service to and from the nearby Metro train station was wonderful. And there was no additional parking fee. Overall, I believe the Best Western Capital Beltway is an excellent value and particularly at this price point, our hotel experience was far above our expectation. We will definitely return to stay with them again.

I can to the Best Western Hotel with my circle of friends to enjoy my 60th Birthday.l chosen this hotel because of there night club which is wonderful, and also that my friends and I could drink, party, sleep and have a good time without traveling back home to Baltimore and put ourselves at risk of a DWI.

Nice looking hotel for older building. Rooms updated which is good. The regular rate for hotel could be reduced in my opinion. Overall I would stay here again. An actual restaurant is a bit far, just fast food is close by.

This was a very nice and clean hotel. However, be prepared to have a $100 hold put on your credit/debit card that is to be refunded upin check-out however, it will not be refunded to your card at check-out. It will actually take up to 5-7 business days fir that hold to be refunded to your card.

We stayed and rented 2 rooms for one night. We called the hotel about a BW shuttle to pick us up at the metro station. Finally after 3 more phone calls a nice man came in a older beat up white van . He was nice but had little to say. We later saw him working the front desk area, working in the bar area, and in the elevator with a bucket of paint..multitalented man. We arrived and asked about eating lunch and getting a drink...NO LUNCH and No Drinks right now we were told. The lady at the front desk was very nice . Go to our room- one room had no icebox and the other had a coffee maker that was so small it fit in the palm of your hand. We later asked about when the restaurant would open and was told we had to walk across the highway to a McD or Res Lobster as they were not opening. They advertised a FREE Breakfast but they did not supply one! The only food available was a vending machine and drink machine! The BW Logo on the building and the van looked different than any BW Logo we were familiar with-BW in a circle of blue. The pillows in both rooms were half size and well worn. The other bedding was fine and the bathroom was clean. All in all we were very disappointed as we had traveled all day to attend the Bears Redskin game. We left early by Uber to Union station to eat breakfast and shop. Bring your own food and drinks if you plan on staying at this BW.

to my surprise!! it was a club weekend, vibes were good,security was in attendance,and my bed was very close.had a great time.I finished it up with ihop down the block.The location was really great for me to get to work

The Bar restaurant is heavy on a Friday & Saturday and Parking is very challenging on every weekend, but otherwise ALL GOOD! Although hotel should accmodate guest with a token for the onsite ENTERTAINMENT venue all night in the Bar area rather than experiencing the extensive loud music in guest room till late night early morning hours.

The lady who worked the 3-2 shift and back the next morning at 7am on the 15th was wonderful. excellent customer service. sorry, i didn't catch her name. even though she worked a long shift and a turn around shift she was in excellent spirits.

This hotel has very nice employees. Advertising indicates breakfast is complimentary. There was no complimentary breakfast but you can buy breakfast for about $15 in their onsite restaurant. Complimentary shuttle service to New Carrollton metro station was fairly responsive.

False information about their "free breakfast". The breakfast is not free, you have to pay from pocket . I Felt utterly ripped off finding out it was false info given. However, hotel staff are friendly and nice. Rooms are neat.poor gym facilities.need an upgrade.

Neighborhood is not the best, no breakfast buffet, tries to act as if a 5 star, they are not. They are nice, rooms are fine, some items don't work (TV, AC etc) and some rooms don't have Frig and microwave, but they now have a restaurant that has nothing on the menu and costs are a little high, also no room service. Many other choices don't waste your money.

This Place was nice and clean the problems we incounted was from the start. We checked in to them be told oh the Tvs dont work and havnt been working since Friday (our stay was sunday) Because my partner and I just wanted some chilled time to watch TV was dissapointed. We even asked if they had a Dvd player but nothing. So we ended up going out to buy a Google Chrome stick to stream some tv. This was an extra cost out of pocket. Then once that was bought we put some popcorn in the microwave for that to be broken too. Luckly someone can and fixed that for us and very quickly. Then the fridge in the room kept doing this hugh pitched sound made it very hard to sleep. The Next morning, We go down for breakfast to a lukewarm/cold selection of food. After we have finished we asked what shall we do with our plates to them be told we are to take out plates and clean them off at the back off the room. This was really not what I was expecting but I just wanted tot help and get out of there. overall the place is nice andi think we just had some bad luck. I would stay again in a best western.

This is a nice Hotel in a great location but with very old amenities, and the rooms are quite old and smells musty, the elevator is too small and not functioning well. The staff seemed very capable of good service.

From the moment I walked into the hotel to check in, I recieved the most professional, welcoming and informative customer service from a gentleman named Merwyn. He immediately informed me of the updates on the hotel and gave me directions of where everything was in the building. Merwyn was very knowledgeable about the area of the hotel and told me about some events and festivities in the Washington D.C. area. I have to give this Best Western a 5 stars for his customer service which would bring me back as returning traveler. Best part of all, he recognized my Diamond membership and gave me a goodies bag! Thank you, Merwyn! Also, I was very glad that I chose this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. I liked that there was no smell at all when I walked into my room. It was a pleasant surprise considering most rooms around the area have so many smokers & tokers and do not comply with smoking policies.

This hotel needs to be more about the customer and less about the money. Rooms should not be issued above there lounge: especially a lounge that is open until 3am. I stopped here for rest and did not get any. There was no parking at all for me, the spots were taken by all those going to the lounge, and other events. The hall and room smelled so bad and old. This place needs a total overhaul.

We needed a hotel room for one night that was close to D.C. This fit the bill perfectly. The complimentary breakfast was good, more than just a continental spread. Front desk staff was friendly and courteous.

Very friendly. Hotel lost power and people thought it was end of the world. It only lasted a hour. Fire alarm went off and manager came to my room and helped fix it . Good transportation to metro . Would come again . Everything was clean .

I stayed here with my family with a toddler and I was placed in a room with no microwave and Fridge. I called the front desk and they so rudely told me there was nothing they could do. Our baby food went bad and i had to go looking for what the baby would eat.

Was suppose to stay for 2 nights but after the first night I woke up with 5 bites on my arm so I searched the bed and found bed bugs. I refused to stay another night bc I didn't want to be bug food. Customer service has been horrible pretending now that I never complained and refusing to give me at least a refund for the night I didn't stay. The bathroom sink was also clogged. I suggest nobody stay at this hotel.

I had no issues or any complaints about my stay. It was aesthetically pleasing inside and out, it was clean inside and out and super comfy beds. The staff was lovely! They accommodated me at the drop of a hat. My only "not awesome" review is of the gift shop-small and weird. Partially out of place.

Chose this hotel for location. Parking onsite and close to Fedex field. Also not far from DC for a day in the museums. Hotel offers breakfast that kept my kids happy. All staff were pleasant. Hotel renovations happening. Room was clean and cozy. In need of new mattress. Pool ran out of towels (was a trend for all hotels we visited on this trip)

Hard to reach with u-turns and other obstacles. Okay breakfast and staff were average. Nothing special noted in the rooms which were clean but old in appearance. No service regarding help with our bags and the wasn't reach in a good area but there was no issues during our stay.

Nothing special. Get a room with even numbers or you'll be right next to the highway. A free breakfast is included, but they must not have ever tasted the food themselves. Turkey bacon, French toast sticks which had probably been frozen, hash brown cubes, you get the drift. The hotel is dry, so there's no beer available for relaxing after a long drive. I forgot to take a usb wall charger so my phone went dead. The light bulbs were dim. It was clean, friendly staff, bed and pillows were comfortable, table and chairs in the room with a microwave and refrigerator.

Ancient piss poor interior .when other hotel brands have updated; made the place look dirty(it was). Saw 2 roaches in the bathroom. Charged a 5- star price for motel- quality ( and this was even w/ a group discount) ! Checked out of the hotel 2 days early to rebook for a better hotel! very nice stay, Renee at the front desk was very nice told us about the amenities at the hotel, they have a night club in the hotel which there is a 15.00 cover charge, I think quest should get a discount. the breakfast was delicious they had potatoes, scrambled eggs,turkey bacon, pork sausage links, fruit, oatmeal, Danish, toast etc, it was very good and filling, the room was very nice and clean except the beds, they were too soft for me, not as comfortable I guess it all depends if you like a soft or firm mattress,overall my stay was very nice I will be staying at this hotel in the near future.

This hotel is wonderful. I brought my fifth grade class on a field trip for the 3rd year now and plan to continue to use this facility in the future. Helen Hayes and her staff are so professional and accommodating. They greet us in the morning and wish a good day and when we return in the evening they inquire as to how our day was. The breakfast is wonderful with a good variety of food choices. The Chef even opened breakfast early just to accommodate our early departure time for the day. I highly recommend this hotel and I plan to continue to use it for my future field trips.

Rawan the hotel manager, knocked on our door at 1130 at night and accused us of smoking, barged her way into the room and demanded i come downstairs and sign the paper where she charged my card 400.00 dollars for something we didnt do, tried to explain to her that we had not smoked in the room but she prerty much said sign or get out, we were 8 hours from home had no where to go we were tired told me that she gets this alot from white people they cant follow the rules....well we followed the rules and at this hotel it doesn't matter they will charge you whatever they want to nothing you can do about it,

Lisa was not informative, lied and didn't explain breakfast rules well. We were over charged on both rooms. I have filed an official report. We reserve our opinion on whether to use this hotel in the fall depends on the response.

This year I had a group of 80+ students and teachers on a DC trip. Everything was ready when we arrived. The breakfast is an additional cost, but well worth it. It is a distance from many of the Washington, D.C. sites, but has amble room for bus parking, for free.

I stayed on a family trip to DC. The hotel was attractive and clean. Rawan at the front desk was wonderful, as was Victoria in the breakfast room. Be aware that there is a club in this hotel that can get loud on the weekends. The trip was a success, thanks in part to a great room!

Customer service is everything to me. I have probably stayed in 60 hotels during the last three years. Without a doubt, Best Western, Lanham is a leader. When it comes to excellent customer service this team has got it right.

You get what you pay for in a Hotel I should have learned that by now.Looks like a old Holiday Inn make over out of the 1960's. Very small rooms,bathroom, and elevators and I'm not a big guy average size. Neighbor hood is old also, with few Restaurants but the Hotel is close to The Metro and the D.C. Beltway and that's why I stayed there.

This place is ok. Not far from the capital district. Much more affordable then staying in the capital district. The staff he was very friendly and professional. Room was clean. My floor looked as it needed some work. But overall it was worth the price

I have stayed here serval times. I have always had good service. The rooms were clean. Good amenities, Several food choices within walking distance(Red Lobster, Wendys,Burger King), there was a 7/11 store for groceries which i found convenient since i usually stay several days at hotel

I was there for only one night. My room was clean and quite. The front desk were great and helpful. They explained how to go about using the metro station. Loved that there was hot breakfast available with the room. I'll definitely stay there again if I come back to the area.

We booked this room for a volleyball tournament in DC and to be close to the hotel our daughter's team was in. We are not familiar with the area, and did not realize this hotel is directly off the highway. The room was fairly clean, although the bathroom floor could have been cleaner. The hotel should be more forthcoming with the fact that they have a nightclub on Friday and Saturday nights. When we arrived on Friday night the lot was packed. There were people all over the lobby, people drinking in their cars in lot. Definitely not a family atmosphere by any means. At about 1 in the morning a fight broke out in our hallway. People were yelling screaming and banging on the walls and doors for at least 20 minutes. Then at 3 they started fighting again. My son even asked me if we were safe. I mentioned what happened to hotel staff the next day and they apologized but at that point nothing could be done. I was just hoping it wouldn't happen the next night. Breakfast at the hotel is nothing great but adequate. Honestly I have stayed in Best Westerns before and have always been comfortable and felt safe. This time not so much.

Open booze and hookah party in the hallway of a non smoking hotel. Lobby personnel did not respond for several hours. Loud party's in the hallway, screaming kids running up and down the halls. Beds were concave. Roaches in the bathroom. Air conditioner sounded like a jet plane taking off. Horrible weekend stay. No sleep and lack of any help from the front desk.

A quick getaway to relax overnight. The hotel is old the furnitre is horrible nasty looking. Overall the room was clean, the young woman st checkout was fabulous, wonderful, excellent! Very well trsined! On the other hand there was a young man by the name of Eric who either lazy or extremely under trained. We went back to the checkin to ask a question was waiting in line and he totally ignored us but yook the people dirdctly behind us next and wuickly, i guess we were invisible! He sctually did this twice as I said there were 3 young women trying to accurately and quickly check people in he was standing behind them just looking and not working and there were many people in line. This slong with the old condition of the hotel i would not recommend or stay here again!

I chose this hotel to visit the popular Bay St Lounge for a after Valentine's Day treat and to party to the radio station that broadcast there and we had a ball!! Would definitely go back the location is not hard to find and not to far from us

Everything about the experience was good, the room was clean & the abundant of wash cloths & towels, can never have to many. The pillows were comfortable, the breakfast was good & everything was fresh. Food options outside the hotel were plenty, convenient to public transportation. Even the hotel room service was good. The only complaint I have is that the heat in my room sucked, it was blowing out cold air..

My stay was great and fantastic as the front desk to the restaurant to cleaners and other staffers of the hotel handled me well and my make my stay eventful pls. Will recommend the hotel to friends and relations wanting to use hotel in this area in future. Will in town again in September so, will definitely use the hotel once again.

Very unprofessional staff we have ever come across. The rooms are dirty found toe nails and drugs in the room. The toilet wasnt working even after they said they fix. The manager made our experiences from the time we checked in to we left the next day horrible and a true nightmare. We give less -5

I began using Best Westerns when they partnered up with AAA. So far, not a single disappointment! Don't be confused by their value pricing. This property and all Best Westerns have been clean, modern and had full amenities. The staff in Lanham was extra nice. It was the holiday season and we were 2 tired business travelers. It was a very pleasant surprise.

Everything was stunning except wifi internet because the internet did not work often time. Please, check everyday and try to fix immediatelly when customers have the request. One more thing that the shuttle bus was short. Should extend untill midnight.

My boyfriend and I decided to just have a night away and booked the room for the night. Upon entering the room we were satisfied seeing how “clean” and spacious it was. Upon further inspection we were horrified. Upon walking further into the room and to grab the remote we found blood spattered across the remote. We were shocked. It wasn't one little drop it was across the entire white remote. We informed the front desk and he was just as shocked as we were. Another remote was given to us and we tried to use it but it wasn't programmed to the tv. Upon further investigation we found blood on the ceiling as well as the floor that had tried to be cleaned but stained. If you must absolutely have to stay there don't stay in room 229.

Like every other BW, this location is at the heart of the city, near to Washington DC, free shuttle bus to nearby train station. Good breakfast and room services. The hotel also has a large event hall, and if you are a night owl, you may enjoy a weekend in this hotel, because they usually have live music and night party shows in one of their halls.

small quite hotel. chill staff. they were very helpful for all the killer things I bugged them for. front desk attendant Ms. Dawn went through all of the trouble getting me a teaspoon, wash clothes, and even bags for my ice.

I booked this room cause I needed a quick get away and this was perfect. Cheap nice rooms and with free breakfast i couldn't ask for anything more. The staff was so helpful and friendly, I am already thinking about booking again for my next get away!!! There was tons of eatery's and shopping close by as well.

We recently stayed at the Best Western Capital Beltway for a Washington Redskins football game. I was hesitant to book here because of a few bad reviews but I'm glad I followed my gut and stayed here. Our room was immaculate. Sheets, bedding, and towels were spotless. The women who checked us in and out were kind, professional, and helpful! They have a shuttle that takes guests to and from the metro stop on the hour on NFL game days if you don't want to pay $50 for parking at the stadium. We decided to Lyft it to the game for $11. It was a 15 minute drive to Six Flags, and within five minutes to McDonald's, Burger King, Wendy's and Wingstop. I also never felt unsafe at the hotel or in the area. The hotel did have the DJ and music on Friday and Saturday night. Our room was right above the bar but the thumping was faint and didn't keep us awake. Breakfast was good with bacon, eggs, potatoes, sausage and all the other regular breakfast items you'd expect. I had a completely different experience than those who wouldn't stay here again. I won't stay anywhere else if we ever return for another game. Plus the price was a definite value.

It's what you would expect of hotel, as far as quality and service away from home. Clean rooms, friendly staff, great Accommodations and breakfast. Easy access to freeway. Only about a 15 min drive to DC depending on traffic.

My overall stay was very pleasant. The room was clean the internet service was good and the television was decent. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were the way that I like them. The comp breakfast was very good, the staff was attentive, helpful and extremely pleasant catering to all that was asked of them. The overall condition of the property was clean and the maintenance and housekeeping staff where on point. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family who visit this area I don't believe they will be disappointed.

We came to visit my husbands uncle in he hospital in Nearby DC so, I used my reward points to stay here. It was reasonable and my points covered it. We stayed here before a long time ago and I couldn't remember if we liked it or not because I usually will delete it out of my phone and I hadent. So we tried it again. I'm not sure why I always smell that dusty vacuum exhaust smell in the halls which, seeps in the room along with the cleaners they use gave us a headache about 20 min in. I carry my own cleaning supplies so some bleach/wipes and lysol spray we were good. The bed was comfortable enough. I did have a problem with a sign in the bathroom telling quest if you don't use the towels to leave them on the shelf for the next quest.. "OK" I would think that would be a given. Now I'm thinking about old unused towels for who knows how long sitting in my bathroom. I want to feel like I've got fresh towels on my shelfs you know?! Maybe That's just me.. but, I don't think so!? Anyway, breakfast was good. Buffet style and well laid out. My husband had a spill and he stated a couple of the workers were rude to him. I didn't get that. They were pleasant to me but I saw at least one that seem to have attitude. It didn't spoiled the trip but, I don't think I'll go back. BEST WESTERN is great but this particular location will be delete from my list.

All I can say without using vulgar language is this was the worst hotel experience of my life specifically because of the rude, unhelpful and condescending front desk supervisor and absent general manager. A simple mistake was made with my reservation through a third party booking site and rather then correcting it or accommodating my request for another room I was told tough, not my problem. I was stunned and all I can do is tell future guests to stay away from the hotel and book any other hotel in the area. Even when the booking site contacted them the site said they were very unpleasant and would not change the mistake, unbelievable!!! I even told them I would leave a bad review they did nothing and said I can do what I want. SERIOUSLY?!?!

Outside the window we had a 4 lane motorway, very, very noisy all Day and whole Night long. Didn't sleep much, althought using earprops. The room was nice and clean. Breakfirst was ok . We will Neverland stay here again.

Pubic hair in my bathroom. Same problem reported by another guest. Bed was concave. Dirty rooms. No maid service in evening. No regular shuttle driver. Had to wait an excessive amount of time to be picked up at Meto.

We stayed here because it was one of the more affordable options in the D.C. area in May of 2018. The rate we paid would give you a really deluxe room and establishment in most other areas. In D.C., what we got was a decent but completely average room and property that would go for $75 or $80 in many other areas. There wasn't anything wrong with the place per se, but it simply was not in any shape or fashion deluxe. Nothing was broken or excessively dirty, but nothing was super nice either. So, for D.C. though, this was about as affordable as it got, and so we stayed here because it was close to the Beltway, in fact it is right off the Beltway and thus has a great location. They offer a shuttle to the metro, but after we priced it out, it was easier and not much more expensive to take Uber into D.C. and so that's what we did. If you're looking for an "affordable" place not too far from D.C., this is not a bad bet. Service was fine in every way but nothing special. Only complaint is that they had a lot of youth groups staying and it was pretty noisy frequently including at night when it shouldn't have been. We would stay here again, but nothing in particular impressed us about this property either good or bad other than the location and it seemed like one of the most affordable options considering the alternatives. I should say prices for downtown D.C. absolutely stunned us and so compared to that, this place was a bargain relatively speaking. The breakfast was fine but nothing super special.

We wanted a hotel near a Metro station with free parking. This was it. Used the New Carrollton Station which is just a couple miles away. Breakfast was excellent. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Free parking and a 20-minute Metro ride to the city. The hotel is older and the rooms are simple but met all our requirements.

we arrived late at night asking for 2 rooms and were very happy to fibd this property .close to washington dc but yet much reasonable price ,Lora was so helpfull and we got very goos rooms with very good breakfast .

My family and i stayed a night at this beautiful hotel to attend a birthday party also held in the same place. The environment was clean and the staff welcoming. The free breakfast was also lovely, it had a variety and we wished we stayed longer. I will recommemd.

Staff was friendly and the lobby but that's about it. The hotel is very noisy, you can hear everything going on in the next room. Bathroom was not very clean - there were hair in the sink and on the floor in the bathroom, and the sheets were stained. Breakfast is very poor too - very few healthy options (french toast were fried!). I've seen better for the same price.

Stayed here on our trip to Washington DC. Breakfast was very good, lots of choices. Room was not Best Western quality. There was a light odor, toilet ran constantly,and the WiFi didn't work. We were grateful for the free shuttle to the closest rail station that took us into DC.

I would like to be balanced with this review. That will be a little challenging. I will start with the good. The location was decent. The hotel was clean. Parking, internet and breakfast were free. They have a pool and fitness center. When we got to our room we tried to give our children a bath. It was not possible to plug the bath drain to draw a bath. I went to the front desk. The manager, who was very kind, came to our room and checked it out. In the end she informed us that we cannot plug the drain of our room because it was a handicapped room. She said if a handicapped person feel in a bath that could be bad. She let us know that all rooms with two beds were handicapped so moving to another room would not allow us to have a bath that would work. There are a few other things, which are not good or bad per se. For breakfast, you have to provide a ticket to an employee standing guard of the breakfast room. When that ticket was turned in, a set of utensils was provided. I agree with having some control of the possibility that a random person will enter the hotel and eat breakfast without being a guest. What was challenging was that I have two children of different ages, who wake up at different times. Every time I went down with one of them I felt like a criminal as I did not have a valid coupon so I had some questions and looks. To go to the pool you had to sign in. First time I ever saw that! The absolute worst part of the stay was discovering on the morning we were leaving that our door lock did not work. My 10 year old daughter impulsively reached for the door handle and it opened. I checked and double checked it and it was the same. The door did not lock! Upon our departure I informed the manager at front desk. She heard what I said, took out a slip of paper and started filling it out. She noticed that I was still there and looked up at me and said "Your room was prepaid, you are good to go". And that was it. No apology. Nothing. Not sure I expected anything specific in response to my family sleeping in a room with NO LOCK at all, but I expected something! Part of the problem I think is that I booked the hotel through a 3rd party. I wonder if that means we are treated as 2nd class citizens. Just a thought. It has been my experience when I do not book with the hotel directly I get an inferior room and possibly inferior treatment. Maybe it is just my imagination but I doubt it.

Stayed during daughters class trip to Washington DC. Hotel was conveniently located. However sheets were dirty, toilet was broken and carpets were dirty. Staff was kind and helpful and morning breakfast was adequate. Especially considering that they were catering to that many middle schoolers. If you do not plan on sending that much time in a hotel this would suffice.

I was a little worried when we pulled up because we came in the back of the hotel but once we got in it was a very nice hotel. The room was clean. The beds were very comfortable. We took an uber to the FedEx field for a concert. Even though it is only 5 miles the traffic is crazy! But I was glad I wasn't driving. The only thing was the tv had bad reception but we didn't complain because we didn't really watch it. Overall I would stay there again and would recommend this hotel.

Had a good stay here. The exterior of the building is a little dated, however the inside is very nice and has been renovated. Our room was clean and nicely decorated, my only complaint is that the couches could use replacing. Staff was nice, parking is well lit. Conveniently right off the interstate!

My room was on the 4th floor so didn't hear the party directly. But Party goers stay in the rooms and are drunk and loud in the hallways all night long. 1st and 2nd floor rooms can definitely hear the thumping music. Parking lot is full during these party nights. My double-queen bed room was clean. A bit worn. Decent gym and breakfast. Nice lobby area. Just check if they have a party scheduled in the hotel for the nights you are looking to stay there. Access from nearby expressway is complicated. Access to the expressway is not bad.

BUG N THE BED..... I was originally suppose to stay in this hotel for a week. But it ended early... I arrived on June 23 and left June 28th... I was 14 hours away from home, didn't know much about the hotel or the area.... So I chose it based on the price and the location of being a few miles from the Marriott conference center... This hotel isn't a 5 star hotel but it wasn't that bad of a stay.... My problem came when I woke up at 2 in the morning to use the bathroom and BOOM A DARN BUG WAS ON MY PILLOW... I have a video for proof... So we instantly called the front desk and we were immediately given another room...This room was a downgrade from our previous room... It didn't have a fridge or microwave... There were spots on the bed... it looked like blood was on the sheets and the toilet was nasty.... I have pics of all this.... But He told us to leave our things in the room bc we had clothes near the bed and we were informed that house keeping would wash those clothes for us and we had to talk to Helen Hayes (General Manager) first thing in the morning..., ok fast forward to the next morning, we proceeded to talk to The Manager... This lady was so sarcastic and rude with her responses... She told us the only thing she could do was wait on the EXPERTS and therefore do an evaluation based on what they find... mind you, we showed her the video... & she said she would call the EXPERTS and he may come today or he may come tomorrow or whenever he's available.. Then she goes on to say Our hotel don't “grow” bed bugs and I'm not denying the fact that the bug was in your bed but u could've brought the bug yourself.... Then her RUDE self asked me WAS I BITEN, DID U HAVE TO GO TO THE DOCTOR (all in a sarcastic tone).. We were told there was a camera n her office and when we started to record her, she became Very angry and called the police on us.... YES SHE CALLED THE POLICE.... All bc we're trying to get a solution to what can be done to fix this issue... She wouldn't give us a full refund bc they had to farther investigate the room... She gave us a refund for the night we saw the bug and we canceled our last two days and left the hotel.... And BTW, we didn't get our clothes washed, even though we were told that they would..Helen Hayes said NO.... Afterward, we learned that all kinds of things happen in this hotel... They have a club there and I was told that a lot of prostitution goes on there... So NO I WILL NEVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL AGAIN... And I'm Reporting this Hotel to the Corporate Headquarters...

We stayed due to a family emergency. Description said had a lounge should say a NIGHT CLUB! We couldn't be put in a handicap room because they were all over this club that was open until 4am! We were put on 3rd flr still could hear music and had to be moved . No parking at night due night club. Housekeeping staff bust up in your room 9am with do not disturb sign. If you want to PARTY all night the place for you...if you need to sleep WELL sorry!

This place was dingy, disgusting, worn down, and in horrible need of a major overhaul. We got put here because our flight was cancelled, and American Airlines only wanted to put us up in the cheapest place possible. Well, they found it. 40 minutes from the airport. It was cheap, and there is a reason it was, because it was nasty. This is totally the type of hotel that doesn't change their sheets between guest stays, I guarantee it. Their maids do not have the slightest idea of how to clean. Also, my shower curtain rod was broken. Ugh, just gross, you couldn't pay me to stay here again.

I can count on the staff to be friendly and helpful at this hotel. I have chosen this hotel location since 2013 because of the comfort and care I feel....and the breakfast is outstanding with staff that are making sure food is plentiful and presentable!

I do business in the DC area and incorporate pleasure. After I completed work and headed outfor the nightlife which a business partner. We ended up going to the lounge in the hotel. It's a lounge for the older clientele if you don't mind that. It was entertaining. But best of all, it seems likea good hotel with a hot breakfast you don't get that often anymore.

Our stay at the Beltway BestWestern was wonderful the staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly the room/ bed was very comfortable, the free shuttle to and from the metro station was a lifesaver

I'll need thousands characters to express my total dismay at this hotel wouldn't be enough. I'll never stay here ever again. The streets have better accommodations! From the rude staff, poorly trained in professionalism to start to the cheap atmosphere and the annoying

I prepaid for this hotel, like I typically always do. They require a credit card for incidentals, fine, I know some hotels do that. Well, after the stay was all said and done I had an $8.19 charge on my card. I had to call three different times over a week and a half and finally speak to the General Manager of the hotel to get this resolved. I also had to flat out say I was going to leave a poor review on trip advisor. No one could ever tell me what the charge was for either. It was finally reversed today, so please heed my warning. I have no idea why the charge was put on and would not recommend you stay there. Please see that I have many, many positive reviews of other hotels, I am not just a random disgruntled person. Best of luck to you in finding a hotel.

The front desk staff was unfriendly and slow. Not even a welcome greeting. It took over 30 minutes to complete 3 check ins. Overall the rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. I would go back there if I have no other options. Don't like the staff attitude.

We stayed here for a 3 night DC trip and what a mistake. I am a loyal BW user and this was by far the worst hotel stay I have had in a long time. Other occupants kept us up for a good portion of the night and the front desk didn't seem interested in dealing with it. Breakfast has its issues. The shuttle to the Metro is nice, our room was clean and the beds comfortable but the pillows need to go. For what we paid we could have done better.

Had an excellent service. The food and the employees were very friendly and accomodating. I had no problem at this hotel at all. I will recommend this hotel to everyone. I will use this hotel again. Keep up the good work.

It was a fine hotel but the thermostats did not work well. (They were not user friendly or intuitive, so we ended up having a hard time controlling the temperature or the fan.) Also, the pool was tiny and it was way too cold to be enjoyable. Lastly, the breakfast to-go bags included hard (unripe) pears which were not edible. (I'm guessing that the actual breakfast buffet would have been fine though.) The hotel was okay overall, but not worthy of a 5-star review.

Lobby clean, Staff great, price great for last minute booking of 8 double rooms, breakfast good lots of option - bacon on the limpy side but hey it was real bacon not turkey junk or nasty store brand that is always super salty

The hotel needs to stop the night club business. It is a hotel not a night club. People are paying for a room to rent and sleep at night. Me and my children were you till 2 am wanting for the music to stop. It does not create a family friendly atmosphere where I was bringing my 6 and 8 year old. Plus, the music from the club is so loud that the bass was blasting through my room on the 5th floor. Plus, I know this just being picky, but the bacon is completely burnt both mornings that I had it.

Nice hotel in a decent area with plenty of parking. Close to Metro station and Chick-fil-A. Clean room with comfortable bed, hot water, easy-to-use air conditioning, fast internet, lots of tv channels, a fridge AND a microwave... what more could we ask for? While not the newest hotel, the staff obviously takes pride in keeping it as nice as possible. We stayed on a Friday night with 2 small children, and at first I was concerned that noise from the nightclub would be an issue, but it was no problem. We stayed on the 4th floor and could not hear it at all. The elevators are a tiny, but you don't have to wait long if it's full. Breakfast was great with lots of hot choices like pancakes, eggs, and sausage, or cold like cereal and bagels. Just get there before 9:50am if you want all the choices. I will stay here again if the opportunity arises. It was an excellent value.

This Best Western met all of our needs in a hotel: a clean place to sleep with close proximity to our intended places to visit and to amenities (e.g., restaurants). We generally do NOT look for a hotel for gym or pool or entertainment.

The Best Western Capital Beltway has an unassuming appearance from the outside. However, upon entering the hotel, it is very nice and modern. The lobby is nice and comfortable. The front desk staff were reasonably friendly considering the area and were competent in their jobs. The hotel sits right beside I-495 with easy access. The hotel is very clean. The rooms are nice and very clean. The beds are comfortable. We had a fridge and microwave in our rooms. The elevators are nice and quick. The breakfast was good and everyone had plenty to eat. There is a gift shop in the lobby with random hours that has your typical Washington DC souvenirs. We would definitely stay in this hotel again. Note - avoid Goodie's Sub Shop that sits on the other end of the Best Western Capital Beltway, it is terrible in every way.

Problem started with Chec kin. They could not provide room as per reservation. But no apology rather tried to convince. Front office staffs do not know how to smile. Otherwise Breakfast/internet above average.

I absolutely loved staying at this facility. I only wish we were going to be in town longer. I felt safe and perfectly at home! Breakfast was great. The business center was accessible. The staff was sooooooo friendly. Special shout out to Lisa for offering tips due to the fact that the hotel had a lounge on site & also providing tips about navigating in to DC. (There was a Life March there the same weekend).

Excellent in ALL... The courtesy was exceptional. Very clean... The food was fresh and delicious... Very close to Highways... Even that in the first floor they have a night club... The music it doesn't bother us.

Traveled for track meet. Was pleasantly surprised by the decor. The beds was comfy and room was clean. Will definitely stay again. Use the fitness center which was clean and has a water machine for filtered water. Breakfast was great and hot. My family and I enjoyed our stay.

Of all the BW we have stayed at over the years, this one was the very BEST. The staff made you feel so welcomed and the breakfast was also the very Best. You can tell extra attention was paid everything.

great staff on front desk great atitude, very very helpful. they are not very far from D.C.the most comfortable beds big parking lot 7-11 close by for incidentals in an emergency and a couple fast food places. the area looks more like a business area but the hotel more than makes up for that

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The breakfast choices was more than adequate. Everything was delicious. The staff was polite and helpful. The room was tastefully furnished. This stay was tge celebrating the New Year. Party favors were given. The music was good performed by a dj.

For what it was worth, the room was nice and the bed was comfortable. I was in the area for a 50th birthday party and chose to stay here. It was easy access to I95, however the night club located in the hotel was a really disappointing. After being told that the club was "HOT" meaning it had a lot of night life and was a nice place to dance and have a good time, only to find out after paying a cover charge, even though I was staying at the hotel, I asked the security guy how was the crowd this particular night and he said "LIVE" I couldn't look into the club and had no idea if the club was "Jumping" or "Dead" so after I paid a $20 cover charge because I had a pair of black jeans on, the club was "Dead" and I couldn't get my $20 back. I will stay at the hotel again because of the convience but will never go back to the club

My heat was out at my home for 2 days and I chose to stay here based on the reviews. I enjoyed my stay here. I didn't think I would get any sleep because this happened on New Years Eve. It was quiet surprisingly. This hotel has a Lounge downstairs and this business is very professional. I didn't even know they were down there, they were so quiet. No issues and they had very professional security. Would recommended to anyone. Oh and the waiting area is gorgeous!

I was charged more than 100$ for bedsheets that had orange juice stain and milk, the bathroom had awful smell, the room service attendants kept knocking on my door and ignored the do not disturb sign, they went ahead and ask the front desk to call my room that made my son woke up and I failed to sleep. Hence ruining my stay

This hotel has a very nice lobby/ sitting area and an excellent breakfast. The only slight difficulty was that after going out in the evening the main parking was full due to a very happening bar/ music area so had to park quite a distance from entrance.

Excellent room for the price. Very comfortable. Stayed on a trip home from visiting NY family for Christmas. Lucked into this hotel and was happy. The hotel was clean and the staff very helpful and accommodating.

Hotel lobby nice, room cold but nice, fitness room Hot but nice, breakfast good except for over scrambled eggs. The one thing that was really bad was when we left room to go to elevator it didn't work and we had to walk down 6 flights of stairs in our Claus clothes and baggage. We tried waiting and the staff were of NO HELP. We usually do this gig every year, won't be staying there again.

I stay at a lot of hotels and by far this was my favorite experience. Coming through the door was an absolute delight. The second shift employee's were fantastic, very friendly, funny, helpful and welcoming. I just can't say enough good things about them. The room was cleaned to perfection, the hallway smelled fresh, I'm so pleased with my overall experience that I can't hardly stand it and that never happens. BRAVO!!!!

My overall experience for my party event at Baystreet Lounge and our 1 night stay at Best Western hotel was wonderful. The staff (front desk, party coordinator, food preparer, maintenance and house keeping staff were all professional and helpful in meeting my needs. I would very much visit again in the future.

I enjoyed my stay at BW. The only real problem was they had a lot of loud people on our floor partying. This went right into the morning hours when I got up to check out. I don't believe anyone from the front desk came up to inform them to keep it down because others were staying on the floor. Me and my friends were up during different times due to the loud mouth people.

It's not the best place I have ever stayed but not the worst by far. Employees need to make it seem they care if you are there or not. Room was clean, the food was ok. I would stay again just not on top of my list. I stayed here do to the location of the Hotel.

Filthy tub & my whirlpool was a disgrace, i'm so happy my wife travels with disinfectant when we're traveling, Love my WIFE TO THE MOON & Back! Please tell Custodial to step up they're game please. I'm a loyal customer and I except quality service and I didn't received it this time, and I was blown away.

The room had a couple roaches. Hotel is outdated and noisy. The room smelled like cigarettes, even though it was a non smoking rooms. Breakfast was ok, but not enough choices. The connecting doors don't appear to be secure. Renovate

Arrived late and running off 2 hours of sleep, when we pulled up there were lots of people standing around in the parking lot. Once we got closer, we saw there was a nightclub located INSIDE the hotel. So we had to hear loud music all night until we fell asleep. Located in the hood which was unexpected since there were excellent reviews on booking.com. Clearly those reviews are fake. Only plus was the short ride to Fedex Field. If you're used to staying at nice hotels, you may wanna pass this one up.

My husband and I were hosting family in the D.C area for the purpose of sightseeing in Washington DC. and the weekend went fabulously thanks to the very friendly & helpful staff, comfortable beds, great breakfast, great internet!!! Great shuttle service to the metro!!!

I spent one night in Was, and to see the Washington DC, to visit the National Basilica Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, and to see the Steely Dan concert that evening at the MGM National Harbor Casino. I had $100 in Best Western Rewards gift cards, so I chose this BW. It was conveniently located for me. The building looks kind of "1980's-ish". But that's OK. It wasn't fancy, but served my needs. The staff was friendly, and the breakfast was delicious.

Had great stay here, staff awesome, Breakfast wonderful, very organized, Ms Judy the rooms were very clean! Nice hotel to stay at. We look forward to coming back again. Stayed here because of their shuttle service to and from the train station for an easy commute into Washington DC. Room was very nice and clean. Breakfast was very good, plenty of selections. Hot or cold.

Our stay was very pleasant. Our room faced Princess Garden Parkway so we didn't have a lot of noise. On Friday and Saturday parking is at a minimum because of the "nightclub" they have in the hotel. Plus you can't go in if you have tennis shoes on, so we were escorted by hotel staff and sat outside. Latishia was very nice on each of the two occasions I had contact with her. Helen Hayes was also very nice to deal with too.

Great hotel, 20 min by train or subway. Not too much to do around if you don't have a car but convenient located near the train and Orange subway station. The hotel stuff will take you to the station.

My stay was uncomfortable. bed was lumpy with a dip in it. couch in the room smelled sour. food was cold and tasted bad. No fresh juice and water. seating arrangement was horrible. Way to many people touching the serving utinciles, hard to find clean silverware and plates and glasses.

I wouldn't spend any money, especially for a Friday night stay. Luckily I used AA FF points. Hardly any parking place and it was so noisy with Friday night parties. Sounded more like a brothel than a motel.

The hotel was ok, but not great. The breakfast was good. The hotel event was noisy and there were so many people at the event they were hosting at their ballroom, that there was no place for regular guests of the hotel to park which to me is totally unacceptable! Service was pretty poor!

I really enjoyed the stay. The breakfast was very good and hotel staff was very pleasant. I had a very good nights rest. Everyone that attended to me answered all of my questions clearly. They even met my requests beyond regular hours. When I was checking in late at night, and it was too late to get dinner, the receptionist offered me fruits to hold me over until the morning!

Located just off I-495, once you understand the loop-the-loop when you get off 495 northbound it is easy to reach. Dining is nearby, and several places deliver - I had some Chinese from Goody's. Personnel make you feel welcome, but are still efficient and professional. The complementary breakfast is pretty good - fruit, scrambled eggs, pastries, turkey bacon, and orange juice and coffee of course. Minutes from a Washington public transit station, a short walk to a couple bus lines, if you are so inclined.

Needed a one night comfortable place to rest. Hotel and room, bath, very clean and comfortable. The room was on front side of hotel facing I-495, Capitol Beltway and the highway noise was distracting to a light sleeper.

Clean, nice, Internet was working fast (had few disconnections but it's quite minor), room with fridge + microwave, good breakfast, free shuttle to New Carrolton station which is great for access to Washington DC, free parking in the hotel and pretty much worth the stay!

This hotel was great I was they had a refrigerator and microwave in the room. The bed was soft and the room was nice and clean. Since I bought food to keep in my room. The location is great and and since I had a party in the lodge made it even a better stay

Very friendly and helpful staff, nice accommodations, convenient yet not in the center of disorganized hustle and bustle, plus ample, free parking. Breakfast is very good (presentation and quality). 25 minutes from Annapolis, 20 minutes from center of DC attractions.

all the public areas were very clean . The bathroom plumbing needs a bit of work, but it was clean . There was no restaurant, but they provided breakfast and that was enjoyable. The hotel was quite filled up, and everyone was in a good mood and the check-in was smooth, The only complaint is that the bath water pressure was very low and the was look brown. The vending machines were a bit dated, so I made use of the charming gift shop in the lobby.

Room was nice, A/C worked well, no loud noises, proper attitudes where used, breakfast was okay, they had an awesome gym and pool. (Overall Good Place). There where a couple spiders by the doorway but nothing to bad a shoe can't handle.

While in the bathroom I looked up into the ventilator that removes air and moisture vapor. It was almost totally blocked with dust and lint so I assume that the air ducts had not been cleaned in years. Woke up the second night sneezing with itchy eyes. The air conditioner was so noisy that I had to turn it to fan only in order to get some sleep. It is an older hotel. It appeared to be clean but there is messy caulking around the tub and rough looking floor tile. Wear on the woodwork etc. Not really that bothersome.

This hotel has the breakfast prepared fresh each morning. The staff is always present to offer assistance when needed. The hotel is clean. A very warm environment to feel comfortable in. The shuttle was a great help when traveling metro which is an advantage to visiting DC by Metro.

This hotel is not far from the New Carrollton, MD transit station to take the metro to downtown DC. They have a shuttle that runs ever hour on the hour from 8am-9pm. Room was comfortable and the staff was exceptional. However, where the problem lies is the rude wake-up calls by the fire alarm sounding between 6:30am and 10am due to an over sensitive senor in the breakfast room. Our first morning there, the alarm went off twice (7:15am and again at 9:30am). Second morning, it went off again this time around 9:30am. This poses not only a serious annoyance problem, but a safety issue. It's called the alarm that cried wolf. There has to be some way to fix the problem. (either by shutting of the system during breakfast hours - I know the hotel would have to get fire marshals approval or silencing the horn part of the alarm). Either way, it needs to get fixed. When inquired about it at the front desk after the 2 alarms on our first day there, I was told it was not a common occurrence. Not true. This problem will be a major deterrence for me to stay at this location again. And I will be frequenting the Baltimore/DC area for the foreseeable future.

Accommodations and staff were satisfactory. Pros were low price, breakfast included, and close proximity to Orange line metro station into DC (30 min ride). Made our visit to DC low hassle and affordable.

Hotel was safe, clean, and had a friendly staff. Decor could be updated, but other than that it's very reasonable for it's price range. As well the breakfast was more than sufficient. I was however hoping the surrounding area to be a little nicer. It wasn't necessarily dangerous, but I would say just be aware of your surroundings. TIp: Use the hourly shuttle for a quick ride to the metro station.

The hotel facilities is very old and out dated. The ac run very loud like a heavy mechine all night,make us can't sleep. The floor is very dirty, the rug is very dirty, the towel have very bad smell. No fridge in the room. The pancake mechine doesn't work for breakfast,and the mix fruit are spoiled. Have fire alam at 7 in the morning!

We recently booked this hotel last minute. We went to the Coldplay concert at FedEx Field, and due to some last minute changes, we weren't able to stay with family that we were planning to, and needed a hotel. I booked this hotel for it's cost and location, but I also expect a certain level of quality from a Best Western, and this particular location needs some work. First, the area that the hotel is located in is a bit rundown. Clearly, that isn't the fault of the hotel, but you should be aware if you are staying and looking for places to eat, shop, etc. Conversely, it is just two exits and about 10 or 15 minutes from FedEx Field, so the location is very convenient if you are going to an event there. The outside of the building is pretty rundown. The parking lot needs some work. It's definitely not very appealing from the outside. Check in was fine. The person who checked me in was friendly and the process was fast. Our room was adequate. I honestly was not looking for fancy - just a place to sleep. The room could have definitely used an upgrade. Functional, but outside of the sheets on the bed, things seemed old and in need of updating. We asked the person working the desk where we could pick up some beer and ice to tailgate before the show, and she gave us directions to a 7/11 a few blocks away, which the younger gentlemen working the desk told us didn't have beer. He suggested going to a liquor store, but didn't give us any help as to where to find one. The main issue I had with the hotel is the noise in the morning. Starting at around 6 in the morning, there was some sort of alarm that kept going off almost every hour. When we checked out and asked what that was, they said it was the smoke alarm and that it goes off every time someone makes toast. What???? When a hotel offers a free breakfast and a smoke alarm goes off every time someone makes toast, that's a problem. There was no apology or no "we're going to fix that". It was just stated as a fact. It was also quite noisy in the hallways in the morning. Housekeeping was in the room next to us running the vacuum cleaner quite early in the morning. I understand they need to clean rooms, but it was quite disturbing if you were looking to sleep in. Overall, this is a place to crash for one night if needed, but I wouldn't stay longer than that.

I was not pleased with the facility at all. The hotel staff need to be retrained on customer service. I had to clean the bathroom before I used it. After cleaning the bathroom and I took a shower and reached for a towel just to see a stain on it. I reached for another towel and there was a stain on that one as well. On another note, we got breakfast everyday (scrambled eggs, meat, potatoes and sometimes pancakes). The potatoes were hard most days (we stayed a week). I asked the staff if they would bring some fresh potatoes out they said when those were gone she would (someone else complained also so about 10 minutes later she changed them. When you go to a hotel some people like to exercise in the morning or take a dip in the pool in the morning. Well here they don't even open until 1:00 (the life guard doesn't come until 1:00. Needless to say that the visit was not at all what I expected.

While the lobby of the hotel was beautiful and clean, our room was not. The bathroom was dirty and the part of the ceiling was crumbling on top of the dresser and on our bags on the floor. It looked like whatever above us was wet. The front desk when asked told us that parking was free at the Metro Station and it was but only on the weekends and I had to pay $9.00 for parking for 2 hours.

Stayed here for a 4 day trip with family to see DC. The staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. They served a breakfast each morning that was really good. Hotel in a good location and close to the metro service. Rooms were clean and plesant. They had a shuttle service to the Metro so we didn't have to do a lot of driving. Would recommend this hotel

My family always prefer Best Western especially for their rich breakfast. Our last stay at BW capital beltway has outdoor swimming pool with life guard available to assist the kids who don't know how to swim.

Great rooms, staff, breakfast - was concerned being so close to the beltway, but had no noise or other issues. Very convenient to the Metro - great $4 lot across the street from the station so we parked there everyday, and didn't have to deal with traffic. Can't wait to come back again!

The GM, Helen Hayes, has no idea of customer service. "As a courtesy, I'll give you a room for a day you do not need" when explaining to them that the reservation was needed for another day. Booked via priceline, priceline called them to explain the issue she claims they never received a call. There are reviews of people claiming the even have beg bugs.

Room ac unit seemed to be broken, kept laying the temp on the ac to 65 and it jumped right back up to 82 and that was what the temp of the room was. Also when we got there there was a black ring around the bathroom sink which was gross, took pics to send to hotel. This was just an overnight stay so I didn't bother to complain but this should've been better. I always expect more from best western

The location was great. The hotel is a little dated especially for the price. They raised the price by over $40 when they realized the weekend would be busy. The pool hours restricted 1pm is too late to open people like morning swims because they have events plann5for afternoon so hard to enjoy.

The staff was friendly and very helpful. The decor needs a lot of work, especially outside. Inside is much better but still needs work. Big dip in one of the beds with a noisy ac unit. Breakfast was not very good

Quick and friendly check in. Breakfast hot and always kept up. Rooms clean and everything worked great. Pool and surrounding area clean. Loved the shuttle service to/from the Metro which was less than a 10 minute ride. Location looks a little sketchy but ended up working out just fine for us.

My wife and I stayed 2 night as we did some site seeing in Washington. We choose this hotel as it had the best rates of all on the outer loop and closest to the Metro station. I good clean room, comfortable bed and after eating breakfast before leaving for the day, hunger was not an issue. We will definitely stay here next time we come to Washington

Do not stay here! They do not take care of their roach problem. The staff was unprofessional. They treated me like if I don't like their hotel, I can leave. I was here for a conference and I will never stay at this hotel in Maryland again. This was my first and last impression of this hotel.

My husband and I stayed at this location so that we could take the Metro in to D.C. for the forth of July fireworks. Everyone was very nice and the hotel was clean and comfortable! I would recommend this location to family and friends. Will be staying there again in September.

I do travel with my work and spend almost 75% of life in the Hotel. Very poor cleanliness no comparison to any hotel that have stayed.Property needs to refurbished . Cleanliness is very imported factor.

Hotel smelt, was very dirty looking. Staff didn't talk to us on check out. Plug didn't work in the bath. Most uncomfortable bath. Didn't feel safe in the hotel, staff didn't really acknowledge us. Had to eat breakfast from plastic plates and cutlery

My stay was very enjoyable. I would definitely be going back there again in the future. I would prefer this hotel every time I come to Maryland. The beds were extremely comfortable. The bathroom shower was very enjoyable as well. Water was nice and steamy.

We drove through DC at night and stayed North of the Beltway so we wouldn't have to deal with the traffic in the morning. It worked! We breezed through Baltimore in the morning on our way to Maine for vacation.

Average experience. Bathroom needed to be cleaned before I used it. Foul smelling urine was on the toilet seat and on the floor next to the toilet. Appeared to be infected. Staff was polite and helpful but I would not stay here again.

Hotel is located in a bit of a rough neighborhood but you would never know it. The inside of the hotel is pleasant and the rooms are comfortable. The beds seemed a little old but they were clean and comfortable. The price was amazing and it included a continental breakfast that we were extremely surprised with because it was so good and offered so many items. Well worth our money.

Don't stay on the weekends they have a club that runs tall 3am. Some of the clubbers stay in the hotel and they dr k and load all night London. The rooms have not microwave no refrigerator. The beds are old and hard and bad for a bad back

The location (near Washington DC) is excellent, not too close nor too far, just right for family vacation in DC. The friendliness and professionalism of staff is exceptional. The hotel lobby and breakfast area are clean and pleasant. The food is excellent. The price is unbeatable.

We went here for our 9th anniversary and had one problem after another. The air in our room didn't work and the front desk didn't fix it, they said they would call with updates. They never called. They did send a repair guy who turned it up to 75 when he thought I wasn't looking, then asked me how cool I wanted and showed me how to turn it down (which we had had it on for hours at 60 and it would not get cool!) Then at 10pm they said they would switch us to a different room... by this time half of the family was a sleep so we just had to deal with it. They said they would bring me a fan and never did. The pool was closed Saturday and we had very disappointed children. TERRIBLE HOTEL!!!

My son and I had the pleasure of being there at my prestigious nephew's graduation from Bowie State University! So, I just had to stay at my son's favorite hotel! It was such a blast, stepping of my brother's fraternity, food, and so much FUN!

Right off I-95 off a major intersection. Modern, clean, friendly. Free breakfast and wifi. Many rooms but quiet. The room had everything expected and no more. No bar or restaurant would be the major negative. (High density traffic and stress in the neighborhood) Paid $150.

I made a reservation through a booking app originally dated so I could cancel for free until the end of this night. I then found out I could not go on the dates I originally selected. However it was possible I could make the trip one day earlier. So in the booking app I selected a day earlier to see if a hotel room was available. It was so I left it. An hour or so later I found out I could not go at all so I called the hotel after I realised that I could no longer cancel for free. The hotel manager said that I had to call the booking app and that there was nothing they could do. So I called the number for the booking app. The representative called the hotel for me. The representative said that the hotel chose to stay with their policy and keep my money. They made their priorities clear when they chose money over good customer service and possible future customer loyalty. Due to recent developments I'm going to need to visit Maryland at least twice a month. However staying at this hotel is out of the question. I'm not saying don't stay there yourselves, but be wary of their greed.

We were looking for a Hotel which would allow is to reach the research labs in the DC area easily. That's why we chose a Hotel close to the capital beltway. The hotel was a positive surprise, better than an average Best Western Hotel. For dinner, we had to drive, since the local choices were not too great. This was easy due to the location, directly at the beltway. The photo shows the nice view out of the window.

The hotel is average. Small rooms. No HD TV! Microwave didn't work. Linen not changed every day, turned inside out instead. Received a supposedly clean towel with make up on it. However, the concierge staff was very nice and accommodating. They made the stay tolerable.

Was yelled by manager for nothing when I was waking up house keeping came to door asked if I was staying over I said yes then phone ring asked if I was staying over I said yes got up to use the bathroom a third person came to the door bamming An yelling after I've already spoke to second person

Stayed a couple nights for business. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel itself is clean and well maintained the rooms are comfortable and kept up. It did have an order of 760's incense when I first opened the door but it went away after the heating cooling system turned on maybe the cleaner they use. Would stay again it was all in all a nice experience. One note is that if you are a light sleeper, at least on the top floor the noise from the interstate can be heard in the room at night.

I stayed at best western capital beltway a few times this year and was pleased the whole stay I had a housekeeper named charda hopefully I'm spelling it right but she was so nice and friendly she also cleaned my room very neat and it smelled awesome with the smell of Hawaii breeze. If I was to stay again I would request her services my whole stay. Thanks best western your my second home away from home

When travelling with young children, it makes such a difference to have a clean bathtub and a sense that the sheets really were just washed. Thank you to the cleaning staff. Also, DC can be hot in the Spring and I was very relieved that I could rapidly bring down the room temperature from 80 when we walked in the door to 75 an hour or so later.

We were concerned about this hotel as it received only 2 stars but everything about it was a 4 star experience. The staff was super friendly check in was fast and easy. The lobby is beautiful and very clean. We came down for the complimentary breakfast thenext morning and it was wonderful. The food was very good warm and plenty of options. The fresh fruit was amazing. This hotel completely changed our minds about Best Westerns. Thanks for the great stay. Oh and the staff at breakfast were super friendly and made you feel at home.

We were part of a very large school trip to D.C., about 300 students. The staff was pleasant and the room was clean. All of the rooms I was responsible for smelled of smoke. The breakfast buffet was ok, scrambled eggs, pancakes, donuts, muffins, bagels, cereal, etc. Variety from day to day. It took up 30+ minutes to get into town due to traffic. Best Western would not be my first choice but was satisfactory.

We thought because it was less expensive that it would be more like the "worst western" that we stayed in near Disneyland a few years ago. But it was very updated and clean and the staff were all very professional. The beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast as well, once we found a place to sit. I guess we picked a busy time to go down.

Met our needs, but handicapped facilities were lacking. Bathroom had an excellent handicapped shower, but the toilet had no assist bars, and was too low to the floor. Other handicapped accessibility was not up to standards. Good breakfast, rooms quiet, beds comfortable.

Check in was fast, rooms were very clean, hotel offers free shuttle to the metro station, breakfast was good. Metro is only 20 some minutes to DC. Would recommend this hotel to family and friends and will definitely stay again when back out that way.

Average stay, average free breakfast. Decent place to stay In a pinch-- such as if you are making a last minute reservation or are on a budget. We were both. We went as a family with 2 young kids, booking a room just 2 hours before arrival. The parking lot was full in the evening apparently from folks patronizing a bar/club that operates in the hotel's bar/lounge during the weekend nights (Saturday). Sunday morning there's a Worship service going on in a meeting room which means altogether there are plenty of people in and out of the hotel that are not actually staying in the hotel.

Great staff and clean rooms also bed was comfortable had a long stay and the staff made it feel like home. Would reccomend to anyone travwlingvor visiting location was convienent too. They have good hot beeakfast and in room coffee

I was very disappointed with this facility. I pray management will look at those working at the front desk . They lack customer skills . They sound very arrogant and mean and very unprofessional in their attitudes and work ethics .

Traveled from PA w/ our 3yo & my elderly parents for a wknd stay for our wedding in the area. Glad I didn't blk rms for out-of-state family & friends b/c I would've been embarrassed!! After decorating the hall & getting back to hotel @ 11:30, we were a little surprised to see a police car in the lot & then hrg party events going on in the hotel. However, since we didn't hear any noise on the 5th flr, we chalked it up to being in a hotel that holds events & obviously needs to make income. Fine. BUT...then coming to the hotel on Sat nite, after our wedding, was complete opposite. A couple of disruptive drunks in the hallway for 15-20 min b/c they couldn't get in their rm...only to find out they were on the wrong flr. When I kept telling them to pipe it dn, 1 drunk insisted on telling me what a jackhole his accompanying friend was. Surprised that I didn't see any staff come up in the elevator for the duration of this enlightening convo. I called the Front Desk again & this time told them to call the police &/or discount our rms if this is the nonsense to be experienced. 1st & last time @ a BW.

That said, it's conveniently located close to the highway. We have arrived on a late Saturday evening, and were warmly welcomed. The room was quite big and had everything we needed. Complimentary breakfast was sufficient and well served. We have parked outside, and it was free of charge. We would stay here again.

Stayed at this hotel for one night. Was in town for the Redskins Packers game. Staff were very friendly allowing an early check in, the room was big and clean had everything you needed. Would definitely stay here again. The only negative Uber drivers had difficulties finding it. Not the hotels fault.

Stayed at this hotel overnight to visit UMD-College Park. Room was clean. Breakfast was not bad. Staff was friendly. it is near the highway so it was a little noisy-but not terrible. I would stay again.

Breakfast was good, well stocked; and diverse. Included things like home fries, bacon, sausages, pancakes, bagels, etc. However, the club was loud, and you could hear people laughing/yelling in the hallway until 5 am.

The noise level on the hallways was ridiculous. Guests in the rooms were shouting and playing loud music which could be heard with their doors shut. Also, the carpets were visibly dirty and in need of replacement and the entire facility smelled.

This hotel is clean and comfortable with extremely friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast is very good, with a selection of freshly cooked bacon, sausage, ham, eggs and home fries, plus toast, bagels, decent coffee, fresh fruit, yogurt and DIY pancakes. The hotel is not far from Carrollton? metro station and the hotel's minivan will drop you there. (There's a fee for parking at the metro station). The room was spacious and the bed comfortable, but the bathroom could have been a bit bigger. Everything worked just fine. Absolutely no complaints - oh apart from the lobby music which goes round on a short loop and drove me nuts (and some of the staff too!)

Was extremely happy with the hotel, service, and the value. The breakfast was one of the best we have had during our travels and the food was much better than most others. The lady taking care of the breakfast room was very helpful and made sure the food was available for everyone coming in to eat.

The lobby was gorgeous, the staff friendly and helpful. We got adjoining rooms for 2 couples. Had a wonderful time and would definitely stay here again if in the area. We couldn't believe the low price for everything we got!

Nightclub on the first floor vibrates the walls with blaring bass music until 3 am with no consideration for guests above. Horrible experience. Never stay there. Noisy crowd then heads upstairs after the bar closes to yell in the halls with no consideration for sleeping guests either. Front desk has no sympathy and only says "yes, we do have a nightclub in our hotel". THAT SHOULD BE LISTED IN THE DESCRIPTION AND INFO on THIS HOTEL RIGHT UP FRONT!!!

Great location for the event I was attending. Reasonable price, Superb staff. Great breakfast. Check-in/check-out both fast and courteous. There was a big event in the hotel the night of my stay but there was little noise throughout the hotel.

I reserved a handicap room which was available, but when we arrived they put us in a regular room. They changed it without asking any question or to inform us. We arrived in our room to find out that it wasn't what we reserved. The front desk told me that because of the club they don't use their handicap rooms on Saturdays. So my handicapped family member helped pay for a room but could not take a shower because it wasn't handicap ready.

the hotel is nice and a nice location , the food is good and the room is clean the bathroom is clean and the front desk person is very nice overall I would stay there again the next time I will stay longer the place is right by the highway

Check in was uneventful. It wasn't until we arrived back from seeing a Washington Capitals hockey game on a Saturday night that the problems began. As we drove into the parking lot we were greeted by an attendant who said that parking was at a premium and the hotel lot was full. Having a very expensive car I was not impressed. We drove around the hotel lot for over half an hour. We found a spot to park that was not a designated parking spot. I was not comfortable leaving my car there over night. Then the music blared until all hours of the morning. I eventually fell asleep at 2 in the morning to the sound of base. The hotel manager Lisa Wood said there was nothing she could do this morning but apologize about the parking situation! This is not a hotel that will be on my list of places to stay again.

Stayed one night on short notice. Pro: Clean, quiet, excellent free breakfast, attentive staff. Con: Facility is a bit dated. Neighborhood is colorful and traffic pattern into the parking lot is interesting. Overall good value. Book online for best pricing.

Upon walking into the hotel it had a strange smell, not sure what it was. Room was average. It could have been a little cleaner in the bathroom. Breakfast was ok. The staff at breakfast were friendly and attentive. The hotel is a 25 minute ride to Six Flags and if you are looking for places to have dinner all that seems to be near the hotel are fast food restaurants.

Would have been nice to have been warned of the room given. Was placed directly above the "club" and the noise was extremely loud until 3am. Placed reservation unexpectedly and needed to rest for further travel.

The check-in and check-out was very quick and efficient. All the employees were personable and helpful. Lisa was especially helpful and charming. The room was quiet, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent!

I can't recommend this hotel unless you have low standards and don't care about anything other than getting a place to sleep. The price is cheap but you truly get what you pay for. Nothing is desirable about this hotel. You should pay more and get a better experience.

Stayed 3 nights attending college FB game at FEDEX. Nice accommodations, friendly staff, over great experience. Breakfast items were good, with nice selection. Convenient (15-20 minutes) from FEDEX Field, 30 minutes to DC monuments.

This is a nice place to stay. the lobby area is warm and comfortable with nice decor. The breakfast was great!!!. The rooms were clean and the beds slept well. I would definitely recommend this hotel to a friend and will be considering this property on my next travel tothe DC area

The hotel has been around for a while and this charming hotel is attractive, the hotel staff is the well trained in customer service. convenient to the Fed Ex Stadium and Red Lobster. I'm told the Metro will bring you here too. I plan on coming back here when I t return to this area.

This was a great hotel for a quick one-night business trip. The staff was courteous and helpful. The room was a good sized room and was clean and comfortable. The TV did not have HD which was disappointing and the remote did not work well, but that didn't matter much as I was only there one night. The exterior of the building leaves little to be desired so I was surprised at how nice it was on the inside. I would definitely stay here again for a long weekend or short stays.

I had been to this hotel before to visit a friend from out of town, but it was my first time staying. I had a relative who had an early meeting in DC and I had booked through a 3rd party site that prepaid. When we arrived I only needed to show a credit card and ID. The lobby is large for a hotel this size (six floors). Upon check-in the clerk asked if I was a Best Western rewards member and I said I was and she was able to find my number through my e-mail. We arrived at around 10 pm and were given a room on the 5th floor on the back side of the hotel. It turned out to be quite noisy from the traffic and the outside air conditioning equipment. The room had two double beds and was equipped with sturdy furniture. While the bedding was adequate. The bathroom, while small, was clean and had ample towels and the shower was a cinch to operate. There is also a vanity area outside the bathroom. The hotel gives you a coupon for the free breakfast. Breakfast was typical but it included a variety to include scrambled eggs,sausage, potatoes, cereal. Grits and oatmeal available in packs requiring adding of hot water. The coffee was good and hot. Overall,it was a good short stay and would stay again.

We arrived late. We had been driving a long time and were just ready for bed. The staff was very friendly and efficient and got us checked in quickly. Our room was cleaned perfectly every day and they were totally willing to clean it around our schedule

Stayed here for five days. on day two we killed a bug that left a red blood stain/streak on the linens. Found bugs under mattress. Went to front desk promptly changed rooms. no other bugs in bed found. Rooms were nice with functional amenities. Buisness center worked well for priniting multiple documents easily. Breakfast exceeded expectations and was fresh and delicious for a continental breakfast. Hotel was close to metro to take into DC Price was affordable for 5 day stay.

I chose this hotel blind, based on location, price, and the amenity of complimentary transit to the metro station. Driving in, I was worried by nearby businesses with bars on their windows, but the hotel itself was immaculate driving up. It is right on the beltway, but the parking lot was newly paved and well lit. As I went in to register, I could hear the club on the first and second floor ramping up, but once I was in my room on the 5th floor, I heard nothing. I did ask about getting an accessible room (travelling with a parent in a wheelchair temporarily) but I was advised they are just over the club. The room was small, no room for a rollaway, but comfortable with a floor length window. The bathroom was large enough and spotless. TV was very nice and clear. Housekeeping didn't miss anything. Breakfast was a hot continental with make your own burritos, several breads, muffins, bagels, regular yogurts, cereals, hard boiled eggs, a really good fruit salad, pancake machine, juice, coffee and tea. Lows: There was only one garbage can - two would have been nice, one in the bathroom. The second day, we returned to find one of the two elevators out of service. The hotel is 6 floors plus basement, and everyone including housekeeping needs to use those 2 elevators. Also, the elevator is so shallow in depth that a luggage cart can't fit. Basically, it is two adults deep and three wide. Quite small. On the last morning, sharing one elevator with all the other guests and housekeeping moving bags of towels and carts was time consuming. Lastly, my key cards wouldn't work on the second day. I had them reset, and a few hours later, they again didn't work. I would stay again. Overall, solid, nice place.

Called to make reservations, second call to confirm only to be told I had no reservation when I got there, not funny at 1am in the morning. Only two elevators for such a big facility, one broke down on Saturday and was still down on Monday when I checked out

i am regular at this location but was disappointed when the AC stopped working in the penthouse and the lounge reserved area that we paid 1300 for an army retirement party for my niece with many guests and family that arrived from out of town 23 years of service ruined by the heat in the lounge and penthouse that we rented as well. The staff did their best to accommodate us with portable fans but Helen Hayes the GM did not excel at customer service and all she could say was the hotel was at capacity shame on her she had a chance to make it right especially since my family and I are regulars at this establishness

Liked the room. Wifi didn't work they had to reboot it. Breakfast room had flies and the items were not fresh. Reserved two rooms 3 weeks in advance but were 2 floors apart. TV worked. Not sure why I have to type 200 characters.

Hotel room was small and not that clean. There was a party going on in their first floor hall, I could hear the music in my 4th floor room. Kept us up until 2 in the morning. No help in getting our room moved. And they didn't ask the party to tone down the music.

Since the New York family did not go to the family reunion in S.C. we agreed to go to Fran's retirement party the weekend of 19th of August and since my birthday was the 16th we did a road trip with the Jones (Tina & Keith) my cousins on Mother's side. It was a awesome weekend saw family from other states was there as well.

I experienced wonderful service here at the Best Western Capital Beltway. I am an employee at another Best Western location and I must say I will probably stay here again if I ever decide to come visit up that way. The room was clean, Stella & The housekeeper that was working the morning of August 16, on 6th floor was so wonderful and went above and beyond for us when we only requested towels. The breakfast was huge and has a large variety.. It's best to get to the breakfast early so you get it fresh! My only negatives would have to be the gift shop, the gift shop could make so much more money if they accepted debit/credit cards. If that cant budge, an ATM on property would be convenient too! Thank you for the wonderful stay!

This is a nice hotel for a getaway. I was here for one night for a rendezvous. The room has no extras; i.e blankets, robe, iron, coffee pot... However, the room is comfortable and the bed amazing. The decor is lackluster.

Hotel staff that checked us in took forever and lacked good customer skills. Hotel clientele not the best. Could not even eat in restaurant, free breakfast awful. I think this is the worst hotel I ever stayed in.

Every person on the staff was great. From check in to the housekeeping to the front desk. Breakfast was the best. Hot eggs and bacon with potatos. Seriously a great visit. I would totally recommend this hotel to anyone.

When you first enter the hotel it looks well maintained and beautiful. However, after you leave the lobby things change. The elevators are tiny, it would be hard to fit a family of 5 and 2 suitcases. We only had a backpack, so we were ok. As soon as you entered the room there was a smell. It was chemically and was trying to cover up the smoke smell (we asked for a non smoking room). There were hairs in the bathroom and some brown dirt on the floor. The breakfast was not good. Pancake maker did I not work, coffee was not good and they did not restock the food quickly.

As far as the comfort of the bed, that was fine. However, the bathroom sink was clogged. It drained extremely slow and by the time we left didn't drain at all. The most disgusting part though was the bugs (more than one) in the ice machine. This happened on two separate occasions. When speaking with the so called "General Manager " Helen, she asked, "well what should I do?" So I'm thinking umm YOU'RE the GM IM A PAYING CUSTOMER. So she ends up giving us a bottle of wine & some damn beer nuts. She did have maintenance empty the ice machine but I'll never go back there.

Capital Best Reward Hotel at Lanham, Maryland. is one of the best hotels you can find in DC area. If you plan to spend some time over there, you can try this. The hotel is located just at the corner of the Landover road. It is very convenient. There three thing I like about the hotel. I spend more than 10 nights in that every year. I had to go to DC every month. The first thing I like about the hotel is the customer service they provide there. The receptionists are very professional. They listen to every gust and value each one of them. For Capital Best Reward, every guest is very important. I like that. The second thing is their food. At 6H30, the breakfast is already ready. That is great. They serve good food. And the ladies who work there are very nice people. They like people and they help a lot and they work hard to make sure that the gust is happy with the food. Great food and great people serving it. The third ting is the rooms. The rooms at Capital Best reward are clean and well maintained. The ladies who clean the room are so nice and respectful. They change the everything you want them to change and clean them for you. They serve you. I am not part of the hotel staff. I am a just a regular gust who knows how to appreciate good things. Capital Best reward hotel at Lanham, Maryland is a great play to stay.

The staff where pretty helpful...the room was very basic. The breakfast is free and pretty varied. Lots of good choices. They get lots of tour groups often which can be pretty annoying with large groups of kids running the halls late at night.

This was a leisure trip with husband and kids. We only stayed for 1 night but enjoyed it. Check in was very quick and easy as well as check out. This hotel was clean and spacious, breakfast was delicious and pool very clean. Enjoyed it. I will definitely stay again.

I've stayed at BW's all over the country and this one was on the older side. Ask to stay on the east side of the hotel, away from the highway noise. Pool was really nice and working. Room clean and decent but at some point, they will need to update. The breakfast options were the best I've ever seen at a BW. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I would stay again but it def was an older and not as glossy as other BW's. Overall, good value. A little noisy and area was slightly depressed but safe enough and affordable.

The room was very nice and met my expectations but was not informed of a night club downstairs that played music till 230 am. The staff was very courteous. The only issue I had was with the shower. It would flood after every use and there was nothing to stop the water from going on the floor.

We came from Dulles(airport) in our rental car. The Front desk lady confirmed or Reservation & were Given a Clean Room. As it was pouring & pretty cold, switched on the huge Room Heater & snoozed ourselves in. Breakfast next morning was Filling & Delicious too.Decided to take Metro & courtesy coach of Hotel dropped us off at New Carrollton. After visiting DC, called shuttle for pickup to Hotel. Everything went as planned, we were allowed use of computer at their Business center also. Definitely well visit & stay again.

Nice and reasonable hotel as previous reviews stated, but i had the unfortunate experience of extremely noisy floor mates... a group (probably a team) of young guys that carried on all evening through early morning... no good for a business traveller. As they were young you can imagine that complaint compliance was short lived... but I was only there 2 days and i feel that this was not the norm. The room was clean, and the staff seemed nice at check in etc.

After being in a sketch place in Virginia we booked this room last minute. The front desk lady, Stella was very helpful and professional. And the manager Helen was nice as well. She was able to check us in so we can head to Washington DC faster. They had free shuttle to the metro but we decided it would be faster to uber our way there. The room was clean especially coming from Days inn, Virginia. Breakfast was decent and the gym was ok minus a few broken equipment but it got the job done. We would definitely stay here again if we needed a place around town. Thank you for your hospitality!

Price was good and rooms were clean and comfortable. The room we stayed had both refrigerator and microwave. Friday night ballroom music was too high and we couldn't sleep midnight and after our complain they immediately changed to other room. Other than that we enjoyed the stay. It is around 20 -30 min drive to DC and they had free parking.

Free shuttle from New Carrollton Transit Center was great; the breakfast menu, display and courtesy of the staff was wonderful. Very soundproof for me and the shower/water pressure were great. The linen was clean but mattress was a bit too soft. Great location and price. Big problem for me was the photo of the pool in the glass enclosure on the website. When I arrived, I found out no enclosure, and no working pool for another two weeks!! Not cool when the reason the hotel was booked was I had 3 anxious children, who though they were going swimming.

Very helpful reservation/group booking prior to stay. On-site staff appeared tired at times and not very responsive to our needs. Helpfulness was not their mantra. The cook is great. Breakfast prepared each day on time and was plentiful. Evening staff was not very professional. The hotel is older and needs remodeling. If you want quiet, don't go on the weekend because a nightclub operates on the first floor on the evenings and it gets really loud. Patrons who go there are not quiet on their floor after visiting as well. Really expected a nicer hotel than we found.

we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, our 3 teenage age boys love sports, the loved the pool and fitness room and wifi met out needs which is huge!. They have heathy appetites and this was the first hotel breakfast they felt filled them. as one said, "That breakfast was sick!"

I stayed there with our team. Beds were average. Shower was good. Housekeeping staff seemed OK. We stayed with our team. All of the staff didn't know that we are staying there and we need separate room too eat etc. So we ended up in lobby eating dinner etc. Breakfast was decent and the room was always setup. The staff was almost helpful but not quite at times etc.

The initial inquiry phone call to Motel indicated they had a Pool. However, she noted that the Pool was outdoors. When we arrived it was stipulated that the Pool was being renovated and needed to be Inspected by Municipal Inspector. And, there were two small elevators with only one Elevator working for six floors of room guests. WE were there for three days and the entire stay had only one elevator in service. There were terrible wait lines.

Worst Best Western I have ever stayed in. Bed Bugs, broken elevator, broken TV remote. Hotel staff was uninterested in the problems, the Manager stated she did not know that the elevator was broken. I was forced to check out a day early due to the Bed Bugs.

This hotel was probably the worst Best Western we have stayed at and it has solidified my quest to start staying at a different hotel franchise all together. This hotel was not easy to get to- you have to go around a few streets just to get to the huge empty parking lot it sits behind. The pool was not working but I'm not sure I would have used it anyway because of its location. The Lobby was nice and the breakfast area were nice. The elevators were horrible- 2 very small elevators that you could barely get a luggage carrier onto. The room was very small, the bathroom was horrible. If I hadn't locked in a rate with a multiple night stay promise- I probably would have went somewhere else.

Upon arrival, we weren't told that the pool was not operating. We learned after we had changed into our swim wear and asked an employee how to get to the pool. When he told us the pool was not open yet, I asked him where was the indoor pool (which is advertised on their website); he looked puzzled. I later asked someone at the front desk and was told that they haven't changed it over to an indoor pool, but looking to do it in the future. I KNOW, THEN WHY IS IT ON THE WEBSITE. I WOULDN'T OF BOOKED IT.

shower and sink kept clogging - very annoying. Front desk staff was good and lobby is impressive but rooms are average at most. Washroom's floor was dirty and sticky. Internet speed was not great either, kids could not even watch youtube without buffering. At least they allowed late check out for 1PM for free.

There was mold in bathtub. The smoke alarm was hanging off the wall which I fixed. The people staying in the next room were so noisy that I called the front desk. They sent up the maintenance man. The noise stopped however continued a hour later. I will say the front desk people were very pleasant and helpful

Don't let anyone spoil your fun. Go experience Best Western for yourself. It was more than we expected. Natisha was excellent. The area was good, and came with many services. The hotel drops you off to the subway and you call to be picked up. The food was not bad, the only thing missing was brown bagel. Everything my sister and I enjoyed. I personally used the Study Centre which was great for me. I had that quiet area to complete my school assignment without disrupting the others in the room. Great job Best Western.

Traveling again from Orland to Philadelphia for the second time in 6 months. Unfortunately it was for a funeral this time. Again, rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was great, but like almost every company in the US, could use another person to help with various rushes. However the staff did the best the could with what they are given by Best Western. One small concern, was our room was next to the elevator, so you could hear it the entire time it was used. Not too noisy and we slept great. Also wish the shower had more water pressure, but that complaint is the same in every hotel in the country. Overall, a great stay and will probably be staying their again in the fall.

Our recent stay at Beltway Best Western was quite enjoyable. The facility was clean, comfortable and located close to major highways. The staff did an excellent job of providing for our needs and they were all very courteous and friendly. We would definitely consider staying at this facility in the future if we have to visit this area.

The beds were par to competitors in a 2 star group, It was an quick in and out for us and we had no major complaints. The price was right and the staff helped you overlook the little stuff .

The building is very old and the interior needs a makeover. The staff is wonderful and kind. The rooms are clean but, again the hotel is old. The hotel is also the residence of a night club on Fridays and Saturdays so be prepared if parking is scarce during these days. The location of the hotel is not the best area but, the beltway is very close.My overall experience was good also breakfast was good and fresh.

My stay was great. I arrived a little early and the FD clerk directed me to food which was a short walk from the hotel. Thank you. We then checked in after our food. Im a pain and the FD people were helpful and took care of my needs. Breakfast was great. The lady cleaning up and stoking everything was very sweet and carried great conversation with me. The room was so spacious we got a king bed and in addition to the large comfy bed there was also a pull out bed in the comfy couch. We didn't need it but that is awesome. Like I said I was a pain. I asked for extra coffee tooth brush tooth paste plates and they had it all for me. I appreciate all the help and kindness I received from the hotel's staff. Keep up the good work.

I was rushed to find a hotel a the last minute and fortunately found this Best Western. The hotel is clean, a good value and a convenient location right outside of DC. The rooms a a bit dated, but I found them to be clean and well kept. The breakfast was bountiful and tasty.

Check-in was a breeze. Rooms good size and clean. The staff was friendly and was able to meet most of our requests. I just wish our room had a refrigerator and microwave. Would stay there again and the hotel is recommended.

Me and my husband were bitten multiple times by bed bugs in room 605; and experienced a lot of noise, laughing, music and bumping on the walls next door and children running out in the hallway throughout the evening and night. This room contained a few adults and several young children in it.

The 2 nights I spent with my family provided the comfort, leisure and affordability I crave for. The hotel is in close proximity to malls and the city center. I will surely lodge in Best Western Hotel & resort next time I am in USA.

The hotel appears to be a bit dated from the outside. My family and I reserved six rooms on the day that we were to arrive for my great aunt's funeral. I spoke to a lady named Laurie, who was wonderful. She let me know that she wanted my business and was willing to do what it took to get it. She assisted me in getting a great rate for our rooms. At first, I didn't know how many rooms that I needed so she let me book the rooms and cancel as I needed with no penalty. In addition to getting a great rate, we received a full, hot breakfast. During breakfast, Laurie walked around and greeted each guest. Her hospitality was wonderful. The rooms seem to be a bit dated, but I would consider and recommend staying at this hotel.

Best Western Capital Beltway Lanham is one of the very good Hotel to stay. The price for the rooms are moderate. It is good for business and pleasure trips. Well located from Washington DC and well connected to all forms of transportation There many place for all types of restaurants should choose to go out for a dinner.

Not a safe area!!!! Smells, musty, breakfast not great, not enough restaurants in walking distance, but I wouldn't walk there either as it's not safe and nothing close by, the Red Lobster across way looked boarded up and dark.

The outside is kind of weird. The front entrance is around back opposite of the road entrance. The area around the hotel does not look too bad during the day. The lobby reminds me of a colonial times library which is nicely done. The hotel staff was very accommodating and friendly. The room is very spacious and clean.The decor in the halls could use an upgrade. The price was surprisingly low for the service and the area. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay again.

Ill give a good review simply because of the night manager/supervisor. We have stayed her for the junior Olympics for the past 3 years we always enjoy ourselves, but its hard to feed sports teams when the conference room and breakfast area is never available for rent. It has to be understood when housing students or athletes its easier to feed in house than to order out. so that simple accommodation would be wonderful for organizations.

The Hotel was clean inside, room was big and clean, services was good, they have a free breakfast services was poor one and half hour late and blame it on time saving. But overall was very good I such hope they could manage the breakfast better. Alot of athletes were stayed in the hotel the same day I was there I believed they also have the same experience for the breakfast. Because it is important for them to have a good breakfast and they go to competition. They end up left without breakfast.

We checked several places for a two-day lodging and even the one we had stayed at two weeks earlier had doubled in price. The hotel itself is nice and clean with a friendly staff. The room with a king size bed was very roomy and had a microwave and fridge. There is even a 'clean' remote which was a plus! I should have read ALL of the reviews but I did not. We were placed on the noisy side, and I do mean extremely noisy bypass side. The only way to block out the noise was to keep the tv on all night and since the room was a little warm the blower from the a/c unit helped a lot. Even though the sign indicates restaurant/bistro, there is not a restaurant on the premises and the bistro is only open Fri/Sat. The only food available for dinner is by a room service contractor. The complimentary breakfast was actually better than average.

The customer service is excellent. The hotel staff are friendly. The hotel interior is excellent but the exterior isn't quite attractive. The room is decent although the bathroom is kind of small. The breakfast is okay with me.

I asked for a quiet room, but they placed a very noisy guest next to me on a night in which there were scores of empty rooms. This was lazy, and not very attentive to my original request. I actually checked out a day early.

Faded glory offering good value & location. You step in and find what feels like was a once upscale place (grand curving stairs, framed art, a faux library) that is a bit past its prime now. But it is clean, adequately maintained, friendly-staffed and offered excellent value for its convenient location to FedEx Field and the PG Sports complex. The room had nice beds, clean linen & all the needed conveniences. The highlight of the complementary breakfast was the pancake machine, that made them to order & delivered them to you on a mini conveyer belt. Overkill, but offered freshness & entertainment value!

This hotel offers a great location, professional and courteous staff, ample parking, beautiful lobby, full free breakfast, nice clean rooms, and free wifi. I have stayed at this location on two different occasions and I would stay again and refer to others. I ran over about 45 minutes on my checkout time, and no one call or harassed me at all. We stopped here on a family roadtrip. We liked the service, room was clean and breakfast was decent. The lady at the front desk was friendly. It wasn't too far from Washington attractions either. We would stay here again.

This is my third time staying at this Best Western and I enjoyed myself. The front desk personnel was very friendly and funny. The rooms were nice and toasty when I checked in which was great since it was freezing outside. I will be staying here in the future.

My wife and I frequently go to the theatre in DC where we lived for almost 40 years. This hotel allows us to make frequent visits and minimize expenses. Hearty free breakfasts and quick transportation to the city via US50 or the Metro from New Carrollton or College Park. We have yet to meet a member of the staff who wasn't friendly and gracious.

Quick check in, check out. Clean inviting lobby, for the price, I was expecting a pit. Not at all! Breakfast looked standard. The employees were almost all very happy, polite, helpful and professional. The hotel is in a marginal area, but the property was very nicely kept up and clean. Nothing is too far to get to, the interstate is just 2 turns. I felt safe traveling alone. I am still shocked at how nice the experience was.

We arrived late at night after being stuck on the beltway in traffic for almost 2 hours due to numerous accidents. I did book on a second party site and I wanted a king bed. When I got to the hotel and requested we were told there were none we know that was not true there were only about 20 cars in the parking lot the hotel was not full!!! She didn't want to offer us the king because we didn't book on the Best Western site I am sure of that! When we checked in and went to the elevator there were bah towels on the floor next to the elevator soaked with I think coffee. I did let the front desk know about the situation. The room was clean but had a very strong perfume odor to it. If we had any allergies not sure we could have spent the night in the room. I just wish the women at the front desk would have been kinder after what we had just gone through on the highway she wasn't. It means we will take our business to another hotel on our travels through.

My s/o and I celebrated our birthdays here (on a Saturday). We love that there is lounge/bar located in the hotel, so we didn't have to worry about driving anywhere after we partied. The crowd was mainly ages 40 and over and the DJ played a mix of new school and old school RB.

I have stayed at this hotel a number of times over the past 4 years. It's location was very convenient for me. The price is fair for the condition of the room and quality of the amenities. You get exactly what you pay for. The rooms at this hotel are very economical.

On the contrary indicated on expedia web site, the swimming pool was close. Big deception for children. The bed was good, confortable. The style of the room and hotel in generally was old style, maybe need refresh. Shuttle to metro station is good to take train to visiting Washighton by walk.

Stayed here a number of times when visiting Maryland. Friendly staff and everything needed at the hotel.. One complaint would be that there isn't a lot of options for breakfast. Location is good if you drive however I think you would struggle if you weren't. A nice Chinese restaurant nearby which is always helpful :) No luxury however everything that you need you can find.

Hotel was older but in good condition. The one drawback was that we picked it since it had an indoor pool which was supposed to be open but was closed. The breakfast wea the usual items OK but nothing special.

Was attending a party at a club at the Best Western Capitol Beltway hotel.... had a marvelous time and was even better to know I had a great, spectacular, clean room to return to after the club... and was even given a free breakfast voucher which was an added bonus.

No hot water, no maintenance personel to fix because of holiday. Moved to 2 rooms before hot water and room with handicap accessible shower as reserved. Final room, roaches in bathroom. Upon complaining to manager the next day, manager replied that maybe we brought the roaches with us.

Friendly staff clean rooms and quite good breakfast easy on and off highway . this is my second stay at this Best Western . We stopped at another motel in the same area but the rooms were dirty so we left and went to best western where we stayed last year the other place was HOJOS .

I booked a one-night stay at the Best Western Capital Beltway after viewing the hotel on its website. I chose this location because of its close proximity to DC and the photos on the hotel's website. I arrived at the hotel only to be greeted by rude, unprofessional staff who were not interested in welcoming me to the hotel or ensuring that I had a pleasant stay. I checked into my room only to find that the room was old, dingy, and the furniture and walls were damaged. The linens on the bed were also worn. The bed was also extremely uncomfortable. I would rate the sleep quality on a scale from -0 to 10 as a -0. There was noise in the hallway from other guests throughout the night, and the guest next door woke me up because he was speaking loudly on the phone late into the night using vulgar profanity. When I called the front desk, no action was taken. It was my understanding that this was par for the course in staying in this hotel. Upon checking out, I spoke to the manager who was also rude and unprofessional. Customer service is obviously not a consideration at this hotel. A few days later, I checked my credit card and saw a smoking charge for the room even though I do not smoke. I was traveling solo on business. I spoke to the manager, and he said that my room was checked and it smelled like smoke. After threatening to contact corporate office about this erroneous charge, the manager said that he would remove it. I would caution anyone who reads these reviews not to stay at this hotel because of the negative reasons I noted above and too many other grievances to list. I expect that there will be a generic hotel response to this review as I have seen listed. However, if you check the reviews over time, nothing has changed.

As a customer, I feel that having the best possible room service, the cleanliness of the room should be superb and the rates should match the quality of the hotel. Unfortunately, I did not receive that. Instead, the breakfast was the one thing I looked forward to instead of the actual stay. Personally, I feel that I should be reimbursed for at least 5 days of my stay. I feel that since I've spent over $1,050.00 and stayed 18 days, I should have at least experienced a week of cleanliness.

I love my stay at the hotel. its was very peaceful and the housekeepers are awesome. I will recommend this hotel to my friends and family members. I will love to stay again at this hotel or any other best western hotels.

If you're going to attend the Bay Street Night Club, don't just mention that you're attending the club, also mention the Club discount. If you don't mention discount, you will be charged the regular rate. Some of them also need phone etiquette training (not welcoming hellos or have a nice day).
