« Misleading photo on website »

We only had an overnight stay at this motel on our way up the coast, but as I hadn't visited Lakes Entrance before we decided on this motel because of the proximity to the water as displayed on the website. Although the motel was very clean, roomy and comfortable and the lady at reception was helpful, the main road actually passes in front of the motel with the Lake on the other side. It was a very quiet time when we were there prior to Easter so it was difficult to tell, but to me this place didn't seem to be at the centre of town as indicated, but rather the end of town. It was only a couple of minutes drive to the hotel and restaurants, but a little too far to walk comfortably. It is difficult to give a review on the basis of 1 night only as we didn't see the pool at all, but I just wanted to advise people that the location isn't as it appears in the photo on the website where it appears to be by the sand.

    « A wonderful stay »

We stay for 4 nights here & could find no faults at all. The lady in reception & all the staff where lovely. The room was great though the bathroom was a little small. The bed was so comfortable & hubby loved the sheets LOL. The Motel is across the road from the lake where Black Swans swim. Thank you to the owner & staff for a great stay.

Stayed one night in a Queen bed Deluxe. Looked OK but not stunning - we only required a bed, shower and toilet. The room was massive and clean. Our room had two recliners which was fantastic. Our research had shown breakfast was not available - WRONG. I ordered breakfast and it was massive - very good. The room and breakfast were both well priced. Worth the stay.

    « Stumbled on a gem! »

We were too tired to continue to Melbourne, so pulled in here. So glad we did. The room was huge! It had toaster, microwave and all other amenities that our two previous motels should have had but didn't. The shower was hot with plenty of water for both of us. Staff were helpful in advising best places to eat and breakfast was available but unfortunately we needed to leave before dawn. I only wish we could have stayed a bit longer.

    « No hot water »

No hot water in the morning. At 7.30am or after. Asked if we needed room serviced to leave ?please make up room? on outside of door ?if we felt it necessary ?. Internet OK. Poor rating due to no hot water.

    « Excellent »

Very good value for money, lovely modern rooms, very spacious, the lady who checked us in was lovely and gave us super recommendations for places to visit on our ongoing trip - close to town and short walk to the beach - would stay again

    « 1 night stay »

Great motel. Warm welcome. Motel room was larger than we had been used to, very clean, modern fittings and appliances, and well maintained. Bed was very comfortable, pillow top, but on the firm side which I like best. The garden areas on street frontage and inside the property were impressive and obviously well loved by the managers. Car parking was a bit tight but still manageable. As ex accommodation owners we would highly recommend this motel. Thanks for a great 1 night stay.

    5
« Amazing comfort and convenience »

Nice overnight stay with really helpful staff. Our room was huge and well appointed. Shower had lots of hot water and good water pressure. Convenient to town and waterfront. We wished we could stay longer.

    5
    « Wonderful »

We stayed 2 nights in the king room and once again cannot fault it. It was very clean, has a very comfortable bed, huge size room. The hosts were very professional and very friendly. We will only stay here when we visit Lakes Entrance

« Clean, comfortable, and spacious room »

Some aspects of this motel are a little dated but it offers a good room at a reasonable price. The bed was comfortable and provided a sound night's sleep. The room has possibly the largest flat-screen TV I seen in a motel or hotel. A downside is the relatively dull lighting, which isn't helped by the non-reflective brick walls. Overall, I'd readily stay at this motel again if needing an overnight stay in Lakes Entrance.

    « Great motel »

King size spa room was just great. Spacious, spotlessly clean, friendly staff. The room had table & chairs, lounge area with 2 seater leather lounge, 2 TV's, microwave & tea making. Outdoor bbq cabana are with lovely gardens & pool also

    5
    « Excellent! »

A lot of positives about this place: - very friendly people working here - the room was space and clean, and it even impressed my wife, who works as a high-end domestic cleaner - things were organised from the get-go. room was organised, management provided info of shops, restaurants, sights...etc happy to stay here again on the next visit! Thank you very much!

« Great location, good room, nice pool »

We spent Australia Day weekend there. It's a great location not far from shopping, eating and the footbridge. Was a quiet room on the main road. We also spent time at the pool which is well maintained and a nice place to reenergise. Disappointments were no Foxtel as advertised for our room only. The fridge was not turned on so it's was a day lost for our milk & drinks to cool down. Would be a solid 5 Stars otherwise.

    5
« Excellent place to stay »

Based on TripAdvisor we booked this motel Anne the manager was extremely helpful and it all seemed very promising Our room was spacious and comfortable. Aircon worked well and rooms were quiet We can highly recommend this place offering decent accomodation and well located

« Great Room....... beautiful place!! »

We had a King Size bed in a huge room, plus a spa bath..... it was an awesome room!! Beautiful gardens & pool area..... we spent the evening sitting outside with a bottle of wine. A short stroll & your in the town centre, close the foot bridge too. Friendly staff..... would highly recommend this place, just sorry we could only stay the one night!!

    5
« lovely place to stay »

We stayed here on our way home from NSW and was impressed. Having a king size bed we were up the back which was lovely & quiet. Our bed was extremely comfy and the room quite big with all the creature comforts. The gardens around the motel are beautiful & someone certainly spends some time out there. After a decent sized breakfast we hit the road again but now know where we'll stay in Lakes next time passing through

« Business trip to Lakes Entrance. »

Stayed at the Best Western Coastal Waters. Chris the owner was excellent with the service and local knowledge. Motel is modern and grounds are well kept. Stay was great, rooms were roomy, clean and well maintained. Would definitely use this motel again.

    5
    « Perfect stopover »

Spent 2 nights here, huge spacious rooms, beautifully appointed in a fantastic location. Chris and Carla are wonderful hosts. Gardens, bbq area and poolside are fastidiously looked after and a wonderful place to finish your day, gardens are magnificent, could not recommend highly enough, great value for money

    « Good value »

Motel is in a quiet spot along the Esplanade. No views from the rooms, ours was a little dark, however they do have a small garden outlook from the rear. The owners have put a lot of effort into the gardens around the pool area and driveways which adds to the ambiance. We had a quite large room by motel standards which I suspect was aimed at the disabled as the shower area was larger than usual with handrails. A comfortable bed and continental breakfast was adequate.(apart from the plastic knifes and forks). The motel entrance faces the water and it is only a short walk to shops etc. Overall I would recommend this motel.

    5
    « Great value »

We stayed in a huge room had a lounge area with a tv, large bedroom area king sized bed with electric blanket, another tv a good sized fridge, microwave and tea making facilities. A large bathroom with a large spa and separate shower, a separate toilet with quality toilet paper an important point I have stayed at 5 star hotels with poor quality toilet paper. Reverse cycle air conditioning The grounds are lovely lots of colour someone spends a lot of time looking after them. An outdoor area to sit and have a drink. A small pool which would be used in summer. The staff are helpful and friendly. A quiet part of town 5 minute drive or a pleasant 15-20 minute walk You may need ear plugs as being in a new place means new noises. We found it quiet in the back area and we had neighbours on one side. We stayed in room 12 Would return

    « Enjoyable stay »

We were pleased with both the presentation and spaciousness of the room we stayed in here. Plenty of space for lots of luggage etc so did not feel at all cramped. Two very comfy sofa chairs plus small table and chairs were great to have and although we only used the microwave a couple of times to heat drinks, it was quite handy. Bathroom not large but certainly adequate with separate toilet. Quiet location, very clean, comfy bed.......extremely nice motel and a great choice for our couple of nights in the Lakes!

    « Comfortable country motel »

A typical old style Australian country motel. Very clean and comfortable, staff very friendly. Breakfast in the room was quite large and enjoyable. Easy to book. No restaurant but a few were located close by.

    4
    « Spacious rooms »

Rooms are very spacious and clean and we loved the recliners! The property is really well kept and located within walking distance to the shops/restaurants. My only suggestion to the owners would be for there to be an extra blanket in the cupboard as it was cold (Winter) during our stay. There were only extra pillows in our room. I would certainly recommend this property to other travelers.

    5
    « Winter get away »

The room was immaculate and warmed up quickly once the heating was on. The gardens around the Motel are tidy pretty and welcoming. The check in was easy and the manager recommended places to eat and see.

    4
« Great place to stay! »

Very welcoming staff despite our late check in. It was very cold hence requested the room warmed ahead of our check in, and was comfortably warm on entering hence felt right at home and didnt need to try to learn controlling the heater. Very clean sheets and comfortable bed. Only issue was bathroom needs a heater too as it was freezing in the bathroom/ toilet. But all in all a good place to stay.

    5
    « A credit to the owners »

Very friendly and helpful staff, scrupulously clean and spacious room with selection of coffee and teas, mini bar well stocked, etc. The crowning glory though is the beautifully designed and maintained gardens and pool area. One of the best motels I have stayed at.

    5
« Cleanest room ever stayed in... »

I travel every second week for work and stay in many motels, hotels & apartments, and the room here is by far the cleanest and very comfortable. The attention to detail is to be commended, the gardens are immaculate and the sound of the birds chirping in the morning makes for a wonderful start of another working day. A nice hot cooked breakfast was thoroughly enjoyed...though be aware of the very hot plate. Will definitely be returning to this fabulous motel in picturesque Lakes Entrance. Many thanks & till next time...

    5
    « Perfect »

Great location, the units are very comfortable, spotlessly clean and the staff always very pleasant and informative. We have stayed on a number of occasions and always been satisfied. We will certainly return and recommend Sapphire Waters to all.

    5
« Comfortable stay in spacious room »

We stayed one night while travelling. Check in was simple and our room was surprisingly spacious. The room was well equipped (microwave, kettle, fridge & a toaster on request) and the bed was comfortable. It is all on ground level so getting luggage to the room was no problem. Wifi was provided, but was patchy on speed. The motel is opposite the water and about a kilometre east of the the Post Office. Supermarket & club bistro etc are a short drive or a long walk. Excellent value for money.

    5
    « A very large room »

We enjoyed our stay just over the road from the lakes and very close to shops. The room was great and well eqipped. The staff friendly. A good place to stay. The Scenery is unique and varied. Coming out of forrest from the East and into lakes was a nice experience.

  • 5
    « Lake district »

Only stayed one night but was very happy with the reception on arrival and departure. Friendly property managers. Room was older style with brick feature wall but was big enough. Had queen bed, double seater sofa, small table and two chairs along with TV, fridge and ensuite. Room was clean and dud not have that hotel smell. Staff were helpful with dinner locations In the area and directions. Accommodation across the road from lake. If you stroll down to the footbridge it will lead you to the ocean. Beautiful spot if you want a restful break.

    5
    « Great motel »

Great little motel, room was big and spacious and everything was very clean. Staff were also friendly. The only downside is it's a bit far to walk to the pub but everything else was spot on. Would stay here again

    5
« Among the best motels I stayed at »

The room for three people we stayed at was quite large with all the amenities that you expect to see at a good motel, and more. Our room was very clean with no strange smells from cleaning solutions that you often experience at other motels. There was a modern flat-screen TV and two leather armchairs, which is also something that you don't see quite often at motels. I would highly recommend this place to any traveler.

    5
    « Excellent Stay »

Very impressed with the beautiful king bed. The size of our room was enormous and very very clean. It was extremelly quiet. A complete credit to the owners. Thankyou for a very comfortable stay at Coastal Waters Lakes Entrance.

« This hotel is the best »

Stayed here for one night with the Family. The rooms were so big and super clean and comfortable. Huge room and Huge TV and very modern Bathroom. Stayed in Suite 1. Best of all the excellent customer service. The manager greeted us warmly on arrival and gave us excellent tips for Dinner and sightseeing the following day. Quite near the 90 mile beach and the bridge across to the beach. So far the best of the Best western chain motels we have stayed. The other best western chain people should come here to learn about the what excellence is all about. Will highly recommend this place.

    4
    « Great motel »

We stayed in one of the larger rear rooms and were very comfortable. Very comfy bed, separate tv couch area, big bathroom with spa and a separate shower. All very clean and well appointed. Motel is built of brick, solid and quiet with very high ceilings which gives greater sense of space. There is a pool and BBQ which we did not use as we went into town for dinner.

    5
    « Great place »

We booked it in advance (Executive room) at a pretty good rate by Australian standard. It was not too difficult to find. The room is large, well equipped. It was very clean. A corner spa is excellent. WiFi is slow in morning hours, but acceptable for a hotel in such remote location. The local staff are excellent. Highly recommended.

    5
    « What a fantastic Motel »

« Relaxing and friendly motel »

My family and i went to stay at Lakes Entrance and found this motel. The owners Carla and Chris were so welcoming and full of information about the town. They told us all the nice places to eat. The room we we're put in was HUGE and had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable. We would most definitely stay at Coastal Waters again. Thank you very much for a relaxing weekend.

    5
    « What a great motel »

Came across this motel after a long drive on a dark stormy late afternoon. We were greeted by Chris who was just fantastic, showing us various standard of room and being a genuine nice bloke. Took his advice on what to do and where to eat etc and it all turned out 1st class / could not recommend Chris and the motel highly enough. We had a great stay!

  • 5
    « A very nice stop-over »

A clean, spacious room with a comfortable bed and lovely, personable owners keen to make your stay in town enjoyable. They offered "where to eat in town" advice and options, which made our stay even more pleasant.

A lovely relaxing stay. Room was clean, it was modern and a great location (on esplanade) People were lovely. Very helpful with restaurant suggestions and places to visit. Location is lovely across the road from the park (saw baby swans). Would return there again without hesitation!!

    « Luxurious »

Been on the road for a month and many places look the same. When I opened the door to my room I was amazed. So roomy. So clean. Had a spa room and the bathroom was amazing too. Really appreciated having a sitting nook and the second tv. Hosts are great - met me when I arrived late at night and made sure I had everything I needed. I will remember this stay forever and quite awhile.

    « Lakes entrance, great »

Smooth transaction, friendly and helpful staff, clean, comfortable rooms. Lakes entrance lovely place to visit. Lakes and beach, all sorts of birds. BIg selection of boats to see, floating restaurant too. Stayed one night on our road trip but very enjoyable

    « Very nice!! »

Had a very nice one night stay at this motel. Chris and Carla were lovely - friendly and very helpful. They recommended a great restaurant on the water for dinner and the food was excellent. Our room was very large...and very clean! Nice little fridge and tea and coffee facilities. Nice walk into town, about 10 minutes along the water. Would definitely recommend this motel.

    « Accomodation »

Spa room with queen bed, foxtel, tea making facilities, laundry facilities, wall A/C., large rooms. Spotlessly clean and comfortable. Right on the waterfront and close to shops. Friendly and helpful staff.

« Best Motel we visited in »

The staff at the Coastal Motor Inn in Lakes Entrance (Best Western) is extremely helpfull, The room is spacious, well equipped an very clean, with a comfortabel bed. We enjoyed a very good breakfast, served in the room exactly at the time we asked for.

    5
« Quiet, Comfy and Friendly »

Hosts, Carla and Chris are friendly, helpful and go out of their way to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Rooms are big, comfortable and quiet and the grounds are well kept. Breakfast is plentiful and Chris makes sure you won't go hungry. We will definitely be returning.

    4
« Big Rooms and Clean »

We could not believe the size, especially the bathroom. Although older fixtures spotlessly clean. Lovely garden setting especially around the pool. Apparently new owners who were very friendly. Would definitely stay there again.

    « Very Comfy »

Opposite lake, pleasant walk from shops and restaurants Lovely big room with a dining table, chairs and TWO LOUNGE CHAIRS !!!! but no toaster ?? (available from office - but I am not dressed yet !) Other than that minor issue, it is a very good standard motel.

    5
« Great place to stay »

The owners Chris and Carla are fantastic- very genuine and friendly. They make the effort to check that you are comfortable and have everything you need. The place is well looked after. The rooms are big and clean. The place is located across the lake and is walking distance to the main town centre. I would definitely recommend this as a good place to stay when at Lakes Entrance.

    5
    « Comfy & Quiet »

We stayed one night in this delightful motel. It ticked all the boxes! Location was quiet even though it's on the Hwy there was no road noise. Ample parking, beautiful garden and most importantly, the room was spacious and spotless. The best I've ever stayed in! We ordered breakfast and what a feast it was... there was enough bacon & tomato to feed an army. Owners Chris & Carla very friendly & accommodating. We will definatly be staying here again. Great work guys

    5
    « Very comfortable stay »

We were here one night after visiting Buchan caves. The double room suit was really clean and comfortable and welcoming. There was a kitchenette and ample space for 4 adults. Also there were lots of colourful flowers in the garden and they looked very beautiful. Will definitely return.

    5
« So comfortable and quiet - pick of the motel accommodation in Lakes Entrance! »

What a wonderful restful stay in a spacious clean comfortable room. The rooms are peaceful and quiet away from the highway but opposite the picturesque lake with its pelicans and elegant black swans. Beds were comfortable, shower fantastic, ample facilities and we plan to return again for a longer stay! Carli and Chris the friendly young owners were very helpful re shops, eateries etc. They were delightful to chat with. We will be back!

    5
    « Wonderful motel »

My husband and I were fortunate to experience a night at this wonderful motel. This is by far the cleanest motel we have ever stayed in with very spacious rooms including a large bathroom. The owners have only recently taken over and were extremely friendly, wanting to make sure that we had everything we required. Would highly recommend this motel, including the ample breakfast. Keep up the good work.

    5
« Worth a long trip, just to stay at this motel! »

This motel is on the highway, across the road from the waterfront area. The motel is spotless, the rooms are large and impeccably clean. The grounds are also very clean and well maintained, and the owners very helpful with any requests.

    4
    « Service with a smile »

My husband and I stopped here on our way back from Melbourne. We were greeted at reception like family, nothing to much trouble, we had a king room, the room puts most hotels to shame for size and cleanliness, we even had a lovely comfy leather lounge to watch tv (choice of 2). No road or any other noise. As far as value for money you cant do better, only rated 3 1/2 stars on wotif and some other booking sites but the place is far better than the rating (just not trendy- nothing wrong with that). We booked direct with them rather than wotif etc, so keep this in mind. So if you in Lakes Entrance give this place a try.

    4
    « Great stopover..... »

Travelling from Melbourne to South Coast we enjoyed our stop over in Lakes Entrance, Heather gave us a warm welcome at the Coastal Waters Motor Inn, great location to our favourite restaurant 'Pinocchios' and just a short walk to the beach. Our stay was very comfortable, lovely spacious room, warm and cosy for a late autumn night, comfy bed, soft towels and very clean....

    5
    « It's great »

Lovely room, so spacious, that's what strikes you when you open the door. Quiet, clean and all the amenities you could ask for. A short walk to everything. This was a quiet time of the year and things might be different in the frenetic summer but if you are passing through, can't go wrong staying here.

  • 5
« Lovely place to stay »

Such a lovely place to stay. The host Heather was very friendly and a pleasure to deal with. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable and very quiet at night. The grounds are very well maintained and nothing is a bother. Would highly recommend.

    4
« Large Room with Spa »

Everything was clean, nice spa, and the pressure in the shower was better then what we have at home a definate plus. Lovely grounds, very well maintained. The only thing would be the layout TV was a long way from the comfy lounge and if you wanted to watch TV in bed it was set up for side viewing only. Good Wifi service. Bed was nice and comfy Friendly owner operated. Would stay here again with no hesitation. Walking distance to township and beach

    4
    « Excellent, quiet stay »

We stayed for one night on a coastal road trip and were looking a quiet and comfortable night before a long drive the following day. We asked for a king room and were given a standard king room at the back of the complex. (Only 12 units). The room was HUGE, with a very comfortable king size bed, a very clean, if a little dated, bathroom, and all the usual motel facilities. Not a car or person was heard before 8.00 the following morning. The motel is on the outer end of town, over the road from the lakes with a short walk to the beach and a 10 minute walk into town, for a choice of places to eat. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We will definitely stay there again next time pass through Lakes Entrance.

    4
    « A Special Family Experience »

Our stay was a really great experience, with family. we had 3 rooms, all were very spacious, including an 'apartment' unit for our daughter, husband, 2 grandchildren, & foster baby. The people, proprietors (many thanks Heather), the staff, were all so helpful and friendly. We had a couple of special requests, the baby caused a problem, as they do, but that was quickly resolved, thanks Heather. We'll be back.

    3
    « A large room »

Our large room looked tired and the furniture was dated. The brown leather lounge chairs were comfortable and placed in front of the flat screen TVs. The bathroom was tiny with no bench space at all. Poor lighting didn't help the situation. Perhaps some of the wasted space in the room could be used to enlarge the bathroom?

    4
    « Very Enjoyable Stay »

We stayed at Coastal Waters Motor Inn for 2 nights and we enjoyed our stay. Everything was tidy and clean. Very large rooms. Free internet was great too. Would recommend them to others. We would certainly stay there again if in Lakes Entrance.

    5
    « Excellent, spotless accomodation »

Highly recommend staying here when in Lakes Entrance. Met by a friendly lady who advised us where to go for the best fish and chips (and they were). Room was spotless and spacious, Could not find any fault in anyway, just absolutely well maintained and loved by owners. Gardens and hanging plants and all the surrounds were beautiful. Location is excellent for shops, lake and beach. Hope to stay again :-)

    5
« Great stay in Wilmy! »

We arrived a day earlier than expected and they accommodated us with no problem. The rooms are very clean and the view is spectacular. One of the managers, I believe her name is Rox, was extremely friendly and helpful! My only complaint is that the standard queen room is much smaller than I expected, so I would definitely recommend a king room. Also, the lady working the breakfast buffet on Friday (said she wasn't the regular worker) was super friendly and accommodating.

    5
    « Amazing room! »

We stayed in the spa suite and were blown away by the size! Absolutely huge, clean, comfortable, quiet - we couldn't ask for more. The bed was a king and was really comfortable - the best nights sleep we'd had since starting our journey five nights before.

    4
    « Clean and spacious »

We spent 2 nights here on our way home from melbourne. We just walked in and made a last minute booking after reading favourable reviews on tripadvisor. The location is great as you are close to the footbridge (to the beach) and places to eat but more importantly to us the room was spacious and clean. We are a family of 5 and they willingly accommodated us with an extra matress and linen and our kids enjoyed the warm pool as they had it all to themselves. The family running this place really take pride.

  • 5
« Beautiful Setting, Great Location »

Reception we received was excellent. The special little extras like chocolates on the folded towels on the bed, extra VERY spacious Standard Queen room with separate bathroom & separate toilet made this 1 night stay awesome. Pity we hadn't booked for longer. Although not right in the heart of the small town, it is well within walking distance of all amenities including a variety of food choices both eat in & take away. It wasn't hot enough to use the pool but it was inviting & secluded in a tropical garden enclosure. Would definitely stay here again.

    5
« Pleasant stay at Lakes Entrance »

We stayed 1 night at Lakes Entrance as a stop on the way to Phillip Island from Canberra. Had a pleasant surprise when we entered the room as it was very spacious and clean. The room and beds were very comfortable so we really enjoyed our stay. Location was not too bad either; it was located near the main road and was only a short walk away from the beach where we spent the rest of the afternoon. Host was very friendly and gave us a general introduction of the area and how to get around. Would recommend this to anyone going to visit Lakes Entrance.

    3
« An OK stay in a pretty enough but not v inspiring seaside town »

We're glad we only had 1 night here as it was fine but nothing at all memorable. The price was OK considering the room was large - like a 1 bedroom apartment in old fashion, motel style accommodation with car park outside the door. Not much character or imaginative design has gone into the building or the decor eg. A dusty looking, old, fake flower arrangement & 1 outdoor chair outside the door of each room along a narrow, covered verandah - a bit odd! So really no useable outdoor spaces near the rooms unless you're happy sitting outside on your own to have a drink - we didn't see anyone using these outdoor chairs. We did see someone at the more inviting table & chairs next to the pool area - if we had been staying longer and the weather was better it might have provided a pleasant outdoor space. Even if it had been warmer, the water in the small pool was too cold for swimming and not in use by anyone during our November stay. It's a short walk across the main road to the lakes' entrance (looks like a river) so we walked along the long path/bridge until we came to the beach. In summer it could be hot as there weren't many shade trees along this grassy area/path. The cafe wasn't open so it's not a vibrant area like some Australian beaches during spring. There was a bit more life in the town although don't expect an interesting range of Cafes & restaurants - again just country/family style places, a nice pub with reasonable food and lots of take away places. It was quite a long walk to the pub where we had dinner - 30+ minutes...worth it as the other places didn't look very appealing. So, nothing wrong with Best Western Coastal Waters - just seems to be lacking character and vibrancy a bit like the rest of the town. My husband paid extra for breakfast - choice was bacon & eggs or bacon & eggs!...it's been a long time (maybe 20 years) since we stayed anywhere that was so lacking in creativity. Would we recommend it?...only if you're needing a comfortable bed before moving on or you're happy with old style basics.

« Fantastic service and large, clean room! »

This motor inn represents a great Lakes Entrance option for those not wishing to self-cater. I stayed here with my husband and infant child in a spa suite in November 2015. We opted for the spa suite because we needed to bathe our daughter after a long and vomity car ride (we had no prior reservation). We found the gentleman host to be exceedingly helpful. Upon check-in we discovered that there was no hot water in our room (as a storm the night prior had caused the pilot light to blow out). He resolved this matter within 15 minutes, which was very kind, as we were eager to bathe our over-tired child and put her to bed. The host also went to great lengths to get me some paracetamol at 10pm after I ran out and had a nasty headache. Thank you so much! A big plus of our room (a spa suite) was SIZE. It was huge! The biggest motel room I've ever stayed in in Australia. Everything was reasonably new and very, very clean. The spa was completely spotless, as was the entire bathroom for that matter. There was a comfortable leather couch and large flat-screen TV. There was a also a decent-sized fridge (still a bar fridge, but a pretty big one). Only a couple of downsides:- firstly, we were a bit cold overnight. We could only find one blanket but we were still cold! Minor issue, still a fab place to stay, but maybe ask for an extra blanket when you get there - otherwise maybe management could put a thicker doona on the bed? Secondly, there were plates but no cutlery. It was no big deal because I brought my own cutlery anyway but just a note. But I would definitely recommend this motel for a friend for its spacious rooms, cleanliness, great service and overall comfort level!

    « Full of Surprises »

Lakes Entrance is always a place we stop for the night during our travels. We had never stayed at this motel before and were pleasantly surprised by what we found. The room was very spacious, comfortable and clean and much to our delight there was a beautiful pool, barbecue area and garden at the back, hidden from the street. The staff very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

    « Disappointing Start »

We spent one night here and had a mixed experience. We arrived in the afternoon but when I went to check in, we found a note that the Front Desk was away for a period of time. Over an hour later, we were able to check in and when we talked to other guests, found that others had had the same experience. On the other hand, our spa room was very spacious and quiet. The complex itself was very attractive with well kept landscaping and grounds. We had the room service breakfast the next morning which was convenient if somewhat expensive. Overall, I would still recommend this location but it's facilities.

« Pleasant one night stay »

This was a pleasant stay for one night during our road trip across Australia. The rate was fair and the room was adequate, and more importantly clean. Car parking was within the complex, right outside your door. Room service breakfast was available which was great for an early start. The owners were helpful and friendly. The hotel is situated a little bit out of the main town, so a walk to the cafes would take a bit of your time. The beach and waterways opposite the hotel are a bonus for a relaxing walk. The hotel grounds are well maintained which is an indication that the owners take some pride in their business.

« Cosy, comfy overnight stay »

Stayed overnight on drive home from Melbourne. Great location just outside the busy shopping strip, opposite the lake , but close enough to walk into town. Spacious, clean, warm, comfortable, friendly - everything you need from a small town motel. Also good free wifi a great breakfast delivered to the room. Will definitely stay here again.

    « Excellent 2 bedroom apartment »

We stayed in the enormous 2 bedroom apartment end of June. The apartment was well maintained and equipped with all the necessities to do your own cooking. The hotel is close to the beach and shops. Very helpful host. Definitely recommended for families.
