Best Western Plus Lake City

We stopped in for a quick overnight on the way down. We booked about an hour before stopping. No issues at check in. Staff even gave my wife a tray to bring breakfast back to the room. Room was clean, tv is going out and no body wash in the bathroom but no big deal. Took a little bit for the hot water to come to temp. For $100 bucks I'd stay again.

The room, beds, and bathroom were all very clean. It was excellent value for the price. The staff were polite and helpful, and the breakfast offered a decent selection considering the cost. Overall, a great family budget-friendly stay.

Clean rooms, helpful staff and fantastic breakfast

In the past we just used Marriot and Hilton and were pleasantly suprised about the Best Western experience. I will certainly use this hotel again in the future. Very friendly staff, clean hotel, super quiet room, the fact that we could open the window for fresh air mend a lot to us. Entire place was super clean. Easy access. person responsible for the breakfast was very attentive. However, as in most of the hotels, the eggs at breakfast could be so much better and make a big difference.

Room was nice, clean and the bed was comfortable. No musky odors, thoroughly clean. Dining area was neat and clean with great hot breakfast. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The motel was easy access from the interstate in safe neighborhood with nearby restaurants and shopping. Even though it is near the interstate it was still quiet and peaceful.

Unfortunately, I am having to write this review after just 2 nights at this hotel. The “Best Western Plus” hotel turned out to not be the best. We have had so many inconveniences that I am ultimately disappointed. On our first night we found a roach in the restroom. We saw a worker smoking outside and when she passed by us, she had a pungent Marijuana smell. We have not had the housekeepers come do our room at all. Today we asked the housekeeper to put new towels and to empty out the trash can after we saw her in the hall. She reeked of marijuana. When we got back to the hotel, we found the very unpleasant surprise that our bedroom door was open and unlocked. We had left our room door locked. We were very upset because anyone could have walked in and stolen something. I am very disappointed with the experience I have had at this hotel. I want the cameras to be pulled and I expect answers by tomorrow of who opened our room door. On top of all this, the manager didn't want to assume responsibility, she didn't even want to come to the hotel to address the situation. We finally got the manager to come and she didn't even want to pull up the cameras to show us who left our bedroom door open. On top of this, she had a very unprofessional appearance and she was very aggressive and disrespectful. The only good thing out of this whole experience were the ladies at the front desk, they were super nice and helpful. Unfortunately, we didn't even get any compensation for any of this. Overall, everything that had happened is very upsetting and I am extremely disappointed with the quality of this hotel. Attached are some images of the roach:

Housekeeping did not make up our room on night 2 and left us no body wash at check in, no shampoo, no tissues, no towels. One of the worst experiences in a hotel ever.

I dont trust that this is NOT a pet friendly hotel even though its billed as such.. I have allergies to dander. mold, dust and mildew. I slept in short stints and had fitful rest. i woke with a headache and body aches like i do if ive been exposed to the allergens listed. the bed was comfortable enough and the water in the shower was hot and the pressure good.. The a/c ran "wet" and it felt damp and cool in the room. the breakfast was fair. not good not terrible

I found the cleanliness of our room unsatisfactory and staff did not compensate. There was lots of hair in our shower that clearly did not belong to us. And dried snot on my headboard.

Everything was great except bath/shower. No shower gel or shampoo in dispensers and used bar of soap in bathtub. Reported that night after 9:30pm, given shower gel and shampoo but no way to install them. Manager address issue the next morning making adjustments to our account. Otherwise, things were excellent. Clean room, comfortable bed, good breakfast.

This is a very nice property. Our room (130) was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The entire property was well kept. This was our second time at this property this year (last March). There are many dining options within a half mile drive. The in-house breakfast was fairly standard, but well prepared and presented. The fitness room (did not use) looked well stocked and modern.

This facility is very well managed, rooms and property were very nice and well maintained. Rooms were clean and updated, pleasantly surprised.

This hotel was clean and well-lit. After making my reservation online, I called the property to confirm they could accommodate my request for an accessible room with a shower chair. Upon check-in, I mentioned the shower chair and the young man @ the desk said it was all taken care of - in fact, he saw to it personally. I cannot remember his name but between check-in and a later interaction with him, the first impression of this property was great! Breakfast was good and checkout was easy. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and helpful. We will stay here again!

For weary travelers Best Western Plus in Lake City ticked all the boxes: convenient to interstate and restaurants, large clean rooms, quiet, affordable. Matt checked us in and was efficient and personable. Breakfast included a variety of food choices. Overall we were very well pleased.

We stopped here for one night on our way to the beach. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Restaurants close by. Room was clean with extra amenities and beds were comfy. The self serve breakfast was very good. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Right off Highway. Well lit parking lot located next to an Econo Lodge and another grouping of hotels. Clean, spacious rooms. Courteous staff. Breakfast hostess kept the area clean and maintained. Nice variety of restaurants not too far down the road.

Clean, quiet and comfortable. The king suite room was nice and clean. I did look at the room before I paid, because we have had bad experiences in the past. Hailey at the front desk was super helpful by showing me a couple rooms before making my decision. We were told about 10% discount at a few local restaurants. The room was really quiet. We will definitely stay here again.

This is actually a great hotel. Great service, breakfast was excellent. Staff were super nice and friendly. Quick easy access to I-75 as well as many food options. Do not let the great price turn you away from this hotel. we've stayed at much more expensive places and did not come close to the service and friendliness of all staff members.

Being brand new to Best Western, we stayed here twice in one week, coming and going to FL after Hurricanes. Overall, we were very pleasantly surprised. And although we like pets, we really appreciate a hotel where somebody's huge dog most likely did NOT sleep in our bed the previous night, and you do not hear animals barking from other rooms. (experiences we've had elsewhere). Thank you for NOT being pet friendly, except for service animals. We really enjoyed our quiet and relaxing stay.

Location was very good. Front desk staff was very friendly and explained all the amenities. Advised time that breakfast opened. They also had list of restaurants in the area, which was very helpful. Hotel well kept, outside area very nice.

An all-around comfortable experience in a spacious room; we had no complaints. Friendly front desk team, a good hot breakfast. Bathroom facilities modern and easy to use. Comfortable king-sized bed. The hotel seemed to have been updated recently, which is a good sign.

Checking in was a pleasure. We got a great first impression and nothing changed it. We just returned from a trip to Paris. We spent 30 days in a hotel with a very good staff. The rooms left a lot to be desired. The rooms are small, but there were other problems. This Best Western Plus was what we like and expected.

Disappointed that there are no generators. Beds are too high for those who are handicapped, and commode is too small. Getting up from a low commode for an older person is hard and you need more handicapped rooms. BUT .... all in all, you took really good care of us. Mattresses are comfortable enough for almost anyone. Need a recliner in each room. PLEASE .. Recliners help older people who have a hard time sitting in hard chairs. GREAT place to stay, though. We will go back.

Don't be concerned by the less-than-5-stars rating. Hotel is clean, well maintained, and quiet. The room was positively huge, and felt more like an apartment. I found nothing that wasn't in good shape or that felt "worn" like so many older facilities. Breakfast was just fine---not elaborate but scrambled eggs were fluffy and tender, biscuits were just right, and nothing was missing or less than it should have been. The place is a deal.

We took a 10 day road trip on our bikes from Miami, FL to Boone, NC to ride the Blue Ridge Parkway. We stayed in 8 different hotels and BW Plus Lake City was the best hotel we stayed in. Everything was perfect from check-in to breakfast, including the staff who were friendly and professional.

Great Hotel, super clean and the rooms are very comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was fantastic with hot eggs and sausage, great tasting coffee and orange juice. The waffles were amazing. The breakfast area was very spacious and very clean.

Great experience! We stopped in for one night, but we liked it so much we stayed for two! The staff was great, especially the breakfast lady! Mgr Debbie gave us a great restaurant advice also. It was just a great stay that you felt like “somebody” not just another face thru the door. Would definitely stay here again.

We were trying to outrun hurricane Debby on our way to North Carolina and originally only scheduled 1 day at this hotel. The Staff were kind enough to allow us to book the same room for the previous day and when it became obvious that we needed to delay for another day they managed to accommodate us for another day. We are very appreciative that we didn't have to travel during the storm. We stay here every time we pass through Lake City because of the friendly and caring people who work here.

Awesome staff and comfortable rooms. Our rooms were very clean and our beds were comfortable. The hotel was quiet and at a good price. Check your shampoo and conditioner etc before jumping in the shower though, or we empty. Hot breakfast ✓ Fitness center ✓ Pool ✓ friendly staff ✓

The beds were so comfortable and the pillows are very soft. The cleanliness of the rooms and hotel is superb!! No matter where we travel Bestwestern is always our hotel. The staff are so pleasant, professional, patient and efficient. We also tip our hats to the housekeeping staff. They also, do a superb job!

Our stay at the Best Western Plus hotel was fantastic. From the moment we arrived, Jack at the front desk welcomed us warmly and made us feel assured. Our room was quiet, clean, and spacious. The complimentary breakfast was excellent, and the staff was outstanding. The maid was pleasant and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel, whether you're traveling alone or with family.

This is a very nice hotel. It is a good value for the money. I have noticed that the Best Western Plus hotels are equivalent to Hampton. That said the Best Western Plus is a much better value. Best Western has a number of different properties and the regular Best Westerns are not always great however the Best Western Plus hotels are always nice.

Very clean and after reading other reviews, the walls were NOT "paper thin". We were in room 202. They're was a Red ? Lobster and longhorns steak house close. The young lady at the fest was very helpful. My GPS was spot on with the directions also. We would stay there again.

We would definitely stay again when in the area. Room and common areas were clean. Breakfast was good. Parking lot and exterior of building was in great shape. Would like to praise 3 employees in which we came in contact. Alaysha checked us in and could not have been more professional and welcoming. Upon entering our room we discovered that the air conditioning was not working properly. We contacted Alaysha and she made several trips up and down the steps to deal with the problem. Final solution was that Alaysha moved us to another room after she verified that the air conditioner was working in the new room. Alaysha is truly an asset to the company. Breakfast was very good and super clean due to the non-stop efforts of Melissa. Melissa was super friendly all the while efficiently taking care of the entire breakfast area. Upon checking out BJ was helpful in getting our ice packs from the refrigerator. We would hope that all 3 of these outstanding employees be recognized by Best Western for their outstanding service.

Another GREAT stay here. outstanding staff, great room and WONDERFUL breakfast! it was very quiet and mirrored our comments below regarding our first stay some time back............ Our first time this BW. It won't be our last! Driving from our cabin in NC mountains to our home in Sarasota, we used to make the drive in a day.,,,,, Then we got old! This is perfect stop on our way south... We were treated like family, the hotel and grounds are VERY well maintained and the mattress and linens were incredible! Breakfast was very good and the kitchen host was very kind and hard working to insure a pleasant atmosphere. about 4-5 times a year we make the trip ....this is our new spot!

Lake City Best Western was above and beyond in every way. The room was immaculate! The staff was friendly and considerate. The parking was convenient. I definitely recommend this place. The location is tucked behind another motel complex, but not hard to find if you look for the sign.

The title says it all! I was traveling home from a "girls" weekend - by myself. I had stayed at this Best Western years ago - it was the best place near I-75/Lake City then, and it still is!

We found this facility to be well maintained and appeared to be recently modernized. They did a very nice job. The room was roomy and the beds comfortable and best of all the whole hotel appeared clean and fresh. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was what we expected. Not the greatest food but filled the gap and best of all it was free.

Rooms very outdated, smelled, the noise from the freeway is pretty loud. Street light was hitting right at my window. Housekeeping served ripped sheets with holes in it and stains all over the room. Would not recommend

I wasn't expecting much due to the location but it was extremely clean and the rooms were somewhat updated. Nice large room with 2 queens(4 pillows and several layers of sheet/blankets), a chair, a desk, a coffee bar with small fridge, and a tv with stand. An okay closet with full mirror on the door and a larger than most entry way into the room. The only negative would be the small bathroom but it was clean and had everything one would need. The breakfast was amazing!! Lots of choices, food was kept full, very clean eating/sitting area. I stayed 2 nights so had the following for breakfast-make your own waffles with multiple toppings, scrambled eggs, sausage patties or links, ham, biscuits and gravy, hot oatmeal with 6 different toppings, cold cereal, bread/toast, bagels, muffins, 2 types of sweet bread loaves. Drinks-coffee, water, milk, apple juice, orange juice, cranberry juice, chocolate milk. Also had yogurts and oranges and bananas! Definitely a wide variety of food for breakfast and I can't stress enough that it was all kept up and clean!!! Would stay here again if needed to.

We had booked this hotel with Expedia (as one does when they are looking for cost effective rooms) for a work event the weekend of May 4th. The event was canceled Sunday the 28th due to a death in the organization. We contacted the hotel immediately Monday morning to let them know we needed to cancel. The first girl I spoke with at the front desk said she would get the cancelation and refund handled because the booking was through Expedia. I regret so much calling from my cell phone and not on our recorded office line to get the first girl's name and proof of our further issues with this hotel. I call back two hours later to ask about the status of our booking. This time it's a different girl who ended up passing the phone off to the Front Desk Manager BJ after I continued to ask why she was unable to do something with out booking when the previous staff member said she would handle our situation. BJ was extremely curt and obstinate through the entire phone call. Because she rejected the approval of our refund three times (according to customer service at Expedia), I had no choice but to keep the booking since we wouldn't get refunded. The plan was to still go see the host of the event and offer condolences. Unfortunately, I was taken to the hospital from my office Friday morning and could not travel to the hotel as intended due to an inner ear infection. Both myself and a coworker with previous experience in vacation rental management tried to explain the situation to BJ and her staff to no avail. We also explained what the first representative of their hotel told us along with Expedia (who let us know they the hotel manager was the one who had to approve the release of our funds). No matter how comfortable the rooms might have been, the staff makes all the difference. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone solely based on BJ and her staff and how they handled this set of circumstances. BJ does not live up to the mission statement of the Best Western hotels because myself and the entire staff of our organization were not delivered trusted guest experiences and did not feel like they did what she could to "foster a caring and inclusive culture..." Extremely disappointed, but they have our money and I suppose that's all that really matters.

This Best Western is one of the best we have seen. They were able to put us in a suite on the first floor. We had a living room area with a sofa and TV plus the bedroom with a king sized bed and a TV. Really nice! It was so quiet and peaceful. A really clean, well maintained property.

Very disappointed!!!! Found at least 4 hairs all around bathroom… mirror was very dirty found a huge stain in carpet lots of dirty ness all around !! Paid 150.00 extremely dirty and very dissatisfying!!!

Amazing people,exceptional cleaning staff 10 of 10..this place is absolutely amazing!! The breakfast is always on point. If you need anything, they will do everything they can to make you comfortable. They have a security team and top notch maintenance crew. I will definitely be back!

We are a no frills family. We just want clean, friendly, and decent beds and water pressure. If you are like us- you will love this place. Travelers passing through will find this place perfect. Excellent location, extremely clean, outstanding customer service from every person we met. Breakfast was great compared to most free buffets. I was absolutely blown away. It has an indoor pool and work out room.

I stay at Best Western regularly. I've found Best Westerns (even Best Western Pluses) are a mixed bag. This was all things considered one of the nicest Best Western I've stayed at. It was very clean, the staff was extremely professional, and the hotel looked almost brand new. The price was higher than I usually pay for a BW, but it was within the range for the area. You are VERY close to I-75, so if you're very sensitive to noise, that might bother you. It was not an issue for us (only once or twice could we hear the highway). Also a tip - the road the hotel is on was a little hard to find. Basically, it looks like you are almost turning into a Marathon gas station, but there is actually a road there that quickly takes a turn and leads you back to where the hotel is. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Nice firm mattresses.We slept well. Good-feeling bedding. All the room's amenities worked well. Decent shower. Citrus scented toiletries. Internet worked fine. Heat and air kept the room comfortable. A little pricey but doable.

Excellent motel to stay for a night or longer, great location, wonderful service and caring staff. The girl who checked us in was very helpful, I don't remember her name, but she was very caring thoughtful to everyone checking in before and after my wife and I, explaining where everything was located on site and what restaurants were nearby. A very thoughtful and caring person.

This motel has checked all my boxes. The staff is professional & helpful. They provide a map for their guests that shows location of eating establishments close by. Several gave a discount to motel customers. Our room & the whole facility was clean. The hot breakfast gave us a good push as we traveled on ahead.

This is the second time I stayed at this particular Best Western Plus. It was my second stop on a trip to Florida. It is the perfect location. The check in process was seamless. Great value for the price paid. Clean room, satisfying breakfast, and courteous staff. I would stay here again.

Very clean and quiet. A very accommodating staff. Everyone from the girl at check in to the girl at checkout was extremely nice and helpful. Offering suggestions for places to eat and even offering coupons and places with discounts for stay at the hotel. Good selection of food on the breakfast bar, with an awesome lady taking care of the breakfast area and offering assistance with items.

One of the cleanest hotels I've ever stayed at. The rooms were clean and the towels cleverly displayed. The included breakfast was wonderful. Eggs and ham to make your own breakfast sandwich. Pleasant and helpful staff.

The people at the front desk were very nice and helpful. The room was a disappointment. Stains on the pullout couch, window curtain was partially hanging. The carpet was thin and stained. Microwave and refrigerator worked fine.

This hotel has definitely earned the Best Western Plus designation. We had the King Suite which was really nice. It had a second TV in a separate sitting area. Breakfast was very good. The only negative - the indoor pool was great. But the room it was in was freezing. Imagine getting out of the warm water into that. Other than that - great place and we will stay here again.

We spent two nights at the Best Western. The facility was clean, quiet, and staff was friendly and efficient. Parking was convenient, breakfast was good with different variety every day. Our King room was spacious, had large TV and very comfortable beds. Indoor pool has seating areas for groups. Would definitely book again.

Everything seemed fine and then the A/C kicked on and it was blowing the smoke smell from cigarettes into the room. So while a non smoking room, you had to put up with the smell of the smokers. Am assure the roms facing to the back were fine

Overnight stay on the way home from South Carolina……..this was an exceptionally clean hotel with very attentive and friendly staff! The bed was comfortable and the room and bathroom were very clean. Breakfast was the usual continental type fare with a few hot items but was kept well supplied by the attendant. Would most definitely stay here again!

My stay was really great. Upon checking in every staff member had a smile and vert welcoming. I really thought the hand written card was so unexpected but very thoughtful and set the mood for my stay. The room was spotless and clean. Breakfast was wonderful and offered a good variety. I will be staying here anytime I visit Lake City.

The hotel was not easy to find. It is actually located on a frontage road next to the interstate. I was greeted by friendly staff and check-in was pretty easy. The front desk staff was cordial and accommodating. Breakfast was good and the kitchen staff were very good. The card keys were a pain to deal with and I had to keep changing them out. My room required maintenance twice and both times handled efficiently. Housekeeping on the other hand was awful with requests being ignored and housekeeping only coming in once every three days per their policy and management was poor using excuses when issues are brought to her attention.

I've been to other Best Western locations and this is one of the best. It was clean, comfortable and modern. It is conveniently located off I75 and close to many restaurants and stores. Staff was friendly, professional and helpful.

Passing through Lake City on our way back from the Panhandle. The hotel staff was all kind and kept the place in great condition. Very thankful we stopped here and got some rest instead of trying to push through.

Best budget hotel I have stayed in Lake City! The place is well appointed, the staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good with a variety - I do love a good waffle! The room was clean - bed comfortable. My only issue was a noisy neighbor who had his television up very loud. I had a room with a connecting door so a little loud. They turned it off before too late so not a big issue.

Have stayed here once before and we were not disappointed. Quick, friendly check in and out, clean room with plenty of towels . Good breakfast with variety, although juice machine broken down. Lady in charge couldn't apologize enough and she was able to finally find some jugs to put juice in. Since our room fridge did not have a freezer asked front desk re freezing our packs which they did. Can't say enough good things regarding the staff.

I stay here annually and have since it opened. Wonderfully clean rooms, friendly staff and well maintained property. You'll enjoy your stay here. Very nice stay. I like how clean the rooms are, crisp the linens are, and how peaceful the atmosphere is. I could easily recommend families and business events here. The night auditors are super helpful and prompt with late check in.

Lake City is the mid-point between our home in Miami and our vacation spot in Northeast Georgia. Every time we pass through, up and back, we stay at the Lake City Best Western. We've never had an issue and plan to stay there every time we pass through as long as we make these trips. It's perfect.

Enjoyed our stop here as we traveled across the country. The motel lobby and room were clean and amenities were good quality. The front desk was concise in meeting our needs and explaining extra perks as guests at the Best Western. The location was conveniently located near the freeway, gas stations, and restaurants.

Kelly, the desk clerk, was extremely helpful in solving a problem with the room refrigerator. She gave us another room and even placed our defrosted ice packs in the kitchen freezer during a very busy check in time.

Excellent Best Wester Plus. Greeted very warmly at front desk, checked in very quickly. Was told about amenities offered, breakfast type and times, rook location, and restaurants that offered discounts. Room vey clean, also had mini fridge. Tammy (breakfast host) was definitely a bright spot the next morning, making sure everyone was attended to and keeping all food containers full.

Hotel staff were very professional and kind. Our room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel is up to date with its decor. I mostly definitely recommend, you won't be disappointed! I will stay at Bestwestern Plus again!

Front desk was so friendly and warm. Kalina was new but she looks like she belong. Good options were great and I slept beautifully. It had a gym which is always a plus. I will return after the holidays.

Happy with my stay here. It was the staff in Live Oak especially Jack Reed's that gave me hope with this company because I've had such TERRIBLE experiences in the Best Western in Valdosta GA and Madison FL. NEVER take your family there. Live Oak was absolutely amazing though.

Our stay overnight was excellent. Kelly greeted us warmly and provided information about Wi-Fi, breakfast and area restaurants. She even had a coupon for Texas Roadhouse and several others. Our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was tasty and Jean was very accommodating and friendly. I'd highly recommend a stay here!

Great location, felt very safe. Near a lot of places to eat and right off interestate. Room had a seperate sitting area and was huge. No complaints, on my list of places to stay. Was a hot breakfast and met our needs. All members of staff were friendly.

Arriving as a weary Ian hurrican survivor, front desk went above and beyond, carried my luggage to my room to show me exactly where the location was. Breakfast hot and delicious. Beds cushy comfortable and bathrooms clean and bright

This property was clean and well cared for. The beds were comfortable and everything worked well. The breakfast was typical Beat Western breakfast, nothing different from other Best Westerns. The workers were extremely friendly and helpful. The only downside to this property is that it is right on the freeway. We were on the far side so road noise wasn't bad. I recommend this property for your overnight stay. It's a little south of i10 and right on i75, but there is nothing at that intersection.

Bring your own pillows! The pillow are half the size of normal pillows and if you move at all during the night, you head will fall off the pillow and they are not comfortable. Also, the breakfast needs improvement. It says hot breakfast but the only hot options were eggs, that were awful, and Canadian bacon. For how much we paid, it was not worth it and I would stay somewhere else next time. Staff was awesome and the rooms were nice.

We always stay in this hotel when traveling from Wisconsin to Florida. It is always an excellent experience. Room is perfect. Pool was very clean. Breakfast was great. Like the fact that while it is close to the highway, it is also very quiet in the rooms.

Location right at I-75 and Route 90 exit, into heart of Lake City. near restaurants, shopping mall, etc. Yet on side road with privacy and safety. Hotel modern decor, comfortable beds, quiet hotel. Staff courteous and helpful. Breakfast bar well stocked. Very pleased with stay.

We believed the reviews and were not disappointed. This totally remodeled hotel is clean and nicely updated. All employees were friendly and helpful. Breakfast is typical but the price was very reasonable and we would stay there again. Just be careful of the directions; we used Wayze and there were two addresses exactly the same . I chose the top one and it directed us across the street; we had to call the hotel and get directions which ended up with the location behind another hotel on a frontage road.

I stayed her due to great reviews and right on I-75 interstate. The staff was extremely friendly and the breakfast was great. The high definition tv had many hbo channels as well as 40-50 channels in total. I would stay again.

The Best Western in Lake City is my exact mid-way point between Miami and Northeast Georgia. Once I get off the Interstate and drive to that hotel, I know all i going to be good, and it always is! Perfect place to stay!

It was a great stay after my lil hassle other then that I love this hotel I'll Definitely come back my lil hassle they wouldn't let me check in earlier I mean after 12:30pm like the Policy says The manager told me she never heard of it but it says you can check in after 12:30 PM if your room is ready then I told her I cannot be on the higher floors because I just had surgery and I do not take elevators because of my anxiety problem she told me they didn't have any first floor rooms available about bust out crying before she found a room on the first floor but after that I had a amazing stay

While it is a 3-star property, it does everything better than any other hotel in its class that I have visited. Superior cleanliness. All the amenities were sparkling clean and in working order. The staff was professional, friendly and accommodating. Hotel is highly recommended. I will visit again!

Nice and clean bedroom and bathroom. Also quiet atmosphere that is good for resting. The desk chair as it is always at the lowest position no matter how many time you raise it.. Fridge has to be close multiple times to fully shut/close. Bed and pillows are very comfortable. I would give it 5 stars if it were not for the chair and fridge.

The clean scent of bleach was in the sheets and bathroom. I totally felt safe and secure that the room was actually clean & sanitized. Spacious room for not a ton of money. Beautiful area, will stay again when I am in Florida.

This hotel was the "perfect landing" spot for two weary travelers. It is right off I-75, very convenient to the expressway. The breakfast was good and had a variety of breakfast items. Very clean cafe!

We chose this hotel based on all the positive reviews and were not disappointed! Large room suite was clean and the bed was so comfortable. The staff and I mean all of them were so friendly and helpful- from check in late at night to the breakfast staff and house keeping. The breakfast was huge and had large variety and there was plenty of it. Flawless visit from check in to check out (which is a late check out time compared to other places). I wish all hotel stays could be like this one. Zero complaints.

Check in was easy and staff was accommodating with any requests. Booked through a 3rd party (Orbitz), selected "pay at property" option and the property still tried to run my card 3 days before arrival. I waited to approve the transaction and looped in expedia group. Since on site staff was friendly review is 4 stars, otherwise the review would be 2 or three for the sheisty move before arrival. There is a CCS EV charger (level 2) right by the front door!

We stopped in Lake City and stayed at Best Western Hotel. We had never stayed at Best Western or Lake City before this trip. We travel from southwest Fl to north GA a few times during the year for family. This hotel was less $ per night and had available rooms. Very pleasant experience. The hotel looks new and was very clean. Even though it is close to the interstate it was very quiet. Great breakfast and friendly staff. Will definitely stay here on the next trip.

I was quoted one price when I made the reservation but was charged more at check-out. The staff said there was nothing they could do about it. Breakfast consisted of pancakes, bagels and cold cereal, no protein of any kind.

Best Western hotels are like rolling the dice: sometimes you win , sometimes you loose. The brand itself is a value 5 star hotel, but, because they have franchises, each hotel has its own staple of standard. This location did not disappoint, sanitized remote control, clean room, bravissimo! BUT, can someone please place King. size pillows on the King bed? And..... you might want to put fuller Queen pillows on the Queen beds. There's nothing worse than sleeping on a nice comfortable mattress with plush bedding and a tiny, tiny pillow. It's a recipe for PAIN ! Abd...... the breakfast , because there was no waffle spray for the waffle maker, my waffle fell apart, the banana nut muffins were stale and the orange juice was watered down .

service was great, only complain is how loud the road is outside, and it was the only place to sit and smoke. Breakfast was very good and always fresh someone always replenishing. Front desk was great.

Check in and out is super easy online. Breakfast was not bad, staff was friendly except for the late night staff. Be sure to arrive early because this location does not have enough parking. We came from all over for a wedding and there was no resolution to not enough parking.

We made our reservation here the same day we visited. We needed two rooms and thankfully secured the last two that were available. The hotel looks rather bland from the outside so we were unsure what to expect We were pleasantly surprised. Our check in was very smooth as the room keys were all already prepared and waiting for us. The rooms themselves were very spacious, nicely appointed and comfortable. Having in room Direct TV available on a great TV was also a welcome surprise. After a quiet night of good sleep we stopped for the included breakfast before leaving town. Tammi made sure breakfast would be a great way to start the day. A nice selection of options awaited us as well as Tammi herself- who was very friendly and personable- made for a nice send off for us. If you ever have the occasion to stay in Lake City, you should consider this property. Additional Tip: You may want to check in to the hotel before heading out for a meal. They offer a 10% discount for a number of area restaurants when you show your room key.

Nice clean hotel, Thursday night rate reasonable, Friday was jacked up by $70. Very clean and was quiet. Great staff, friendly and courteous. We were here to enjoy the Surrounding state Parks. Big Shoals, Suwannee River, Olustee Battlefield, O'Leno and River Rise all within 45 minutes of the hotel.

Im not s frequent traveler and I dont need a lot if amenities. I just want a clean comfortable room and to feel safe inside. This hotel delivered. It was fairly priced and extremely clean and safe. It also had a great breakfast in the morning. I stayed at 5 different hotels this roadtrip and this was the best. I'll always look for a Best Western on future trips.

Our room was very clean and spacious. The indoor pool area was the cleanest one I have seen. The staff was very friendly. Breakfast was very good. Hot and cold options were available. We also used ta 10 percent dinner option at a nearby restaurant that we were told about.

This is the nicest Best Western Plus I have ever stayed in. The rooms were super clean and well appointed. The desk staff was very efficient. The breakfast was adequate. The whole experience was perfect. The location just off the highway is perfect as well. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is fairly new. Room furnishings and appointments are quite nice. The building is very near the highway, but traffic noise in the room was barely noticeable. Very light sleepers might want to request a room on the back side. Beds were comfortable. The only thing that was inconvenient was the shower/bath. No soap dish or caddy of any kind for soap or shampoo. Not a deal breaker, but a bit odd.

I always get great rewards and the staff and cleanliness are amazing, check in was fast and simple. All areas are available at reasonable times. Staff always asks if you need something, small store front for snacks and drinks are always a plus

This hotel was perfect minus the pillows. So just bring your own pillow. They give you 4 small square pillows. It was the weirdest thing ever. The breakfast was great and the hotel is so clean. Front hotel staff were all very pleasant and helpful.

We've stayed here before and was pleased to be able to get a reservation (Stephenia) for our overnight stay this trip. It's conveniently located with lots of restaurants readily close by. Our check in/out person, Tiana was courteous and friendly. We had breakfast served by Jean, who was very efficient and pleasant. Ido enjoy the 'behind the table' service that is offered due to CoVid guidelines of the hotel. Clean rooms, comfortable beds. Easy in/out to I-75.

The BW Plus Lake City stands out compared to similar hotels by its excellent breakfast service. They serve each guest individually and avoid crowds at the buffet. Very clean and efficient. First time I find a menu at a breakfast buffet, it helps to make your decisions before entering the salon.

Glad I brought my own sanitizer wipes because the surfaces of the room were not wiped down properly. Since we are in a pandemic this is very upsetting as it reflects poor attention to detail. Also the noise of the busy highway is very loud inside the rooms. Parking is limited.

We travel I 75 often and have always looked for Best Westerns. This one is right off the exit and easy to find. However, this time, the road was blocked to access the hotel from normal route. We had to cut through another hotel's parking lot and around to get to the entrance. The road opened up again in about an hour after we checked in. Not other problem there. The personnel was very friendly and easily checked us in to our 1st floor king room. The room was very clean and comfortable. We had a slight issue with our key cards but was quickly fixed by the front desk. The breakfast was served by staff (Tammy and Rachel) and they did an excellent, efficient job. It was nice not to have to 'fight' our way to the food and it kept messes down from being made with kids helping themselves. I would like to see this continue after CoVid restrictions are lifted. It was pleasant eating experience without the hassle.

Two things made this a great choice for me. First, they had a charging cable for an electric car at no cost. Second, I left my new Apple AirPods in my room when I checked out and an hour later I received a phone call from someone at the hotel. She offered to UPS them to me. Very honest and helpful person I wish I could remember her name but I was driving. Anyway, I got them.

Will Not Stay There Again Very Disappointing! Room was not cleaned the second day of our stay asked twice and was told the second time it was too late! I was out most of the day asked the first time at 3:30 and second time 5PM. There was no soap in bathroom upon checkin had to get it from front desk.

The room and hotel were very clean. The employees at check in weren't wearing a mask but they were behind plexiglass so I did not feel uncomfortable. The pool was open, we didn't use it but given how clean everything else was I would have felt comfortable using it if we had more time. They had a hot breakfast which not many hotels have right now and it was delicious ( I always love their waffles!) the woman working the breakfast station was incredibly friendly and followed all safety protocols.

On the road and stopped here overnight. Very clean. Nice folks from check in, lady serving free breakfast to check out. Been very impressed with the Best Western Plus. Right off interstate and many restaurants on other side of interstate. Desk will give you sheet with restaurants you can get 10% discount like Texas Roadhouse etc.

The place is demonstrably clean in this post-Covid time. The staff is friendly and genuinely welcoming. The breakfast was outstanding. It was made by an attendant. We had a breakfast burrito and it was delicious. The cold Jimmy Dean sandwich we had at other places is not even in the ballpark. The attendant says she changes the breakfast offering every day. This is a great place to stay. We've stayed in different hotels for the last 22 days and I don't write a review like this normally.

We stayed here on way home from Orlando. When we got into the hotel, we were greeted nicely by the workers in the front desk. We stayed at room 112 close to the front desk and vending. Room 112 was nice. The beds were amazing, but kinda-ish not enough sheets. The bathrooms were nice. The A/C was quiet (which I liked). It blocked the I-75 traffic noise. The TV was great, they had DirecTV. The remote was a little slow, but it worked well. Breakfast was good. They had my froot loops and orange juice. The vending machine was great. I ended up getting a Wild Cherry Coke for the ride home. I will stay at this hotel again.

This property exceeded my expectations. Having traveled and stayed in a variety of states and variety of hotel chains during the current COVID-19 scare, I have experienced the many different ways that the hotel industry has responded to that challenge. While mostly common and assumed, cleanliness from one hotel to another is pretty standard and well done. What sets one property apart from the others is the way it handles breakfast. Now, I know that these places are not restaurants, and their main responsibility is to provide comfortable lodging, but the added perk of having a nice breakfast, especially during these trying times, is what differentiates the value of one over the other. Some properties, while advertising having a breakfast...even a limited breakfast... have responded to the COVID-19 restrictions with the unimaginative offering of a grab-and-go bottle of water and pre-packaged pastry. But not here !! This property offers a breakfast served to order with a variety of hot and cold selections, proving that a nice breakfast can still be provided during these unsettled times; all it takes is some imagination and desire to provide customer service. ( At a time when restaurants are open for business, it is a bit lame for a hotel to fall back on COVID-19 as an excuse for not providing a satisfactory breakfast. But that's just my opinion.) Suffice it to say that this property excels in customer service. The staff is outstanding, the rooms spotless, the towels fluffy, the beds comfy. Thank you to all who contributed to our enjoyment of your property. This property is a great value for your travel dollar I will stay here whenever my travels require.......

Hotel is very nice, great location, nice rooms, comfortable beds. BUT, they had only 1 woman who was trying to cook breakfast, take your order and serve it and keep the coffee urns full. She wasn't the problem. Food was not bad for a chain, and she was pretty quick. But there was no one to clean and sanitize the tables between guests. I brought my own sanitizer, but I didn't see anyone else using it. Until they hire more staff, don't eat breakfast!

Lake City is the-midpoint between my home and the a place I visit. I will always pick this Best Western. The room was spotless and the management was intent on making sure we are safe. I was surprised at the quality of the individually prepared breakfast. Some hotels make a minimal effort for breakfast, but this was good.

My husband and I spent 3 days at this hotel over the New Year's weekend. A little leary of traveling with the whole Covid-19 pandemic, but as soon as we walked in you could tell this hotel was serious about cleanliness. It was spotless!. The staff was super friendly and helpful.

I'm a Best Western Rewards member so I have stayed at a number of BW hotels. We planned a trip from Michigan to southern Florida. I selected a BW in Knoxville and this one in Lake City. I was very satisfied with this facility and would stay again. Check in was fast and the staff friendly. The people in Florida have a different view of Covid but I did fell safe. The staff did their part to make us feel safe. The room was comfortable. The hotel was right off I-75 so easy off and back onto the highway.

Everything was good except for the non-civid compliant breakfast. The server wore her mask around her chin, had no gloves, and although she was trying, was not hygienic at all. It would have been much safer to let us grab our own and go, rather than have her handling the food, setting it down on uncovered couters, placing syrup packages on top of the waffles, and all sorts of other errors.

This hotel had a larger room to give our family plenty of space. It was also very clean and inviting starting with the lobby, then the room, then the indoor pool. The staff was very helpful and the location great.

We stayed Thanksgiving weekend and visited with daughter and grandson. Hotel is nice clean and staff was very helpful. Rooms and linen was clean and all updated. Breakfast was well taking care of and good. Pool was clean and clear. Good value

I had an issue with wifi connection on one side of the hotel. But the staff moved my room to where i had better connection and made sure it worked before we moved which was so nice. I had no further issues after. I love how fair the prices are compared to other hotels. I definitely will be back!!

This was by far the worst hotel experience I have ever had in my entire life! I checked in at 6am due to working the overnight shift, asked for accommodations for a late checkout. Front desk representative made it sound like I was not even going to be able to check in, because she already entered me into the system as a "No-show"! Made me feel extremely unwelcome. I specifically made a note in my reservation about how I was going to require EV charging, but one of the employees decided to park their gasoline-powered vehicle in the EV charging spot before I arrived which caused an additional headache. The hotel employee responsible was not very accommodating or nice to me about creating this inconvenient situation, despite my specific instructions regarding my requirement for EV charging in my reservation notes. I was only going to be at this hotel for 6 hours due to the lack of willingness of the front desk staff to accommodate a later checkout. I put the "privacy please" sign on my door to prevent housekeeping from waking me up during this short time period. Well GUESS WHAT, housekeeping knocked on my door, waking me up after only 2 hours! The room was already made up before I entered, what was going to be the purpose of her entering the room if I was supposedly marked as a "no-show" anyway? There was no communication at all between the front desk check-in and housekeeping to prevent a sleep disruption. The personnel at this hotel clearly are suffering from a literacy problem, since the "privacy please" sign did not prevent the housekeeping staff from waking me up at 9:30am. Unfortunately I was not able to get back to sleep. I would have rather just spent the additional 2 hours it would have taken for me to drive straight home from work and sleep in my own bed without being disturbed. This was an absolutely ABYSMAL experience.

Every employee we came in contact with was extremely friendly, polite and helpful to us. The hotel was beautiful, even outside. Landscaping and front sitting areas were exceptionally clean. Check in was simple, prompt, and courteous. The entire hotel was very clean, the room was spacious and clean and had plenty of towels!!! That was a plus for a family of four with two young kids, we can never have enough towels. The indoor pool was great. I expected it to be slightly warmer in the water and the echoing in the pool room gave me a headache. But that was probably just my kids screaming because they were having so much fun! Definitely will stay here again!!

When we saw the location of the hotel we figured we'd be pulling out earplugs due to the close proximity to the highway. We're we wrong!! One of the best nights sleep without the earplugs! The mattress was comfortable, the room and the hotel extremely clean and updated. After seventeen days of travel it was so nice to have a hot breakfast, served. The staff is great and overall this hotel deserves 10 stars! We're adding this hotel to the top of our list for our next round of travels!

When I was looking for a place to stay in Lake City I reviewed all the options and found this Best Western. It was ranked high in customer surveys, plus was not as expensive as other properties. And they were right. The hotel looks brand new, but it is not. Regardless, it is nearly spotless inside and outside. Check-in was quick and safe. My room was immaculate. The front desk provided a list of near-by restaurants that gave a discount if you ate there and showed your key card (at the time of this review). This BW provided a hot breakfast buffet. For safety, an employee with mask and gloves does the actual serving. You can eat in the breakfast area or take it back to the room - your choice. All employees were masked and did social distancing. While next to the interstate, the room was very quiet. I will stay here again on my next trip to Lake City.

Stayed overnight to go to Itchatucknee springs. Hotel is new and it was so clean and beautifully decorated. Rooms have high ceilings and it felt larger with plenty of room for 4 people. Beds are comfortable and bedding was soft. Love the orange scented shampoo, conditioner and lotion. They had the breakfast set up with a server to serve you hot food following the covid protocols. The breakfast attendant was very professional and friendly. They also had grab and go bags. Very impressed with this Best Western!!

I am a grounded international traveler and Met with a friend in Lake City for the weekend. I being older and of course concerned about the virus I called numerous times to make sure that the hotel was properly sanitized. I spoke with Elbert numerous times. Every time I called he was extremely warm friendly and helpful in every way. Upon arrival, check in was wonderful and great to see Elbert in person. The room was immaculate, hotel very modern due to remodeling. Bed and tv excellent. Ac that is actually controlled in the room.

Spent one night here after making a reservation while driving about 30 minutes beforehand. No problem checking in and staff very friendly. Nice room on 2nd floor. Several restaurants close by. Room looked very clean and staff all wore masks. The Internet seemed to stop or drag at times and it took a while for the water to get hot, but overall, it was a nice comfortable stay.

My wife was concerned about staying at a hotel due to Covid19. But we were assured that they had taken all the necessary precautions. The room was very clean and the staff were extremely professional. We were in a hurry checking out, so we did not eat breakfast. However, we stayed at this same location in January and the breakfast was great. It has been recently remodeled and was a good place to stay at a good price. We have stayed here before and will definitely stay here again.

We stopped in lake city on the way to Alabama. Clean, friendly. Tammy in the breakfast room was so kind, energetic, accommodating to everyone , fixing all of our breakfast due to the pandemic situation And with a big smile. Definitely will suggest this best western property to all travelers.

Stayed one night to break a trip from SWFL to N GA because of impending storms. Hotel and staff met all our needs, impressive facility. We had two tornado warnings during the night and felt safe and secure.

My partner and I love this hotel. The staff are lovely and the rooms are spacious and clean. We are truck drivers so we usually get a room once a week and always stay here. We feel comfortable and always welcome.

The general description on Tripadvisor still refers to this hotel as a Country Inn and Suites, however it was rebranded as a Best Western Plus in 2019 and the renovation is just excellent. Rooms and Lobby area have all been tastefully and beautifully redecorated. Everything looks clean and new. Beds are very comfortable. The breakfast buffet is complimentary with lots of options. Convenient location near the Interstate but not too noisy. We would definitely stay here again.

The room was super clean. It was very nice. The staff were all extremely friendly. The gym was small but nice. The pool was indoor and heated. The bathroom in the room was spacious. The shower head was adjustable and the massaging head was great! Just a FABULOUS place.

After a recent cruise the wife & I stayed at this place . this is the first plus we have used. the upgrade to the brand is immediately noticeable . the exterior the office the breakfast area are all upscale as well as the rooms. A pleasant stay we will use BW Plus again

I am a frequent road tripper and use Best Westerns all the time, but this was my first stay at this property. The staff was great across the board and the hotel location is a quiet corner of a major interstate freeway junction (I-10 and I-75). There are suites available at this BW Plus location and the rooms have all been upgraded to the current BW Plus standard. Very nice. The breakfast is the expected BW buffet with an array of cold and hot items including make-you-own waffles. I would highly recommend this hotel for road trippers of all ages.

Just traveling thru and decided to give this hotel a chance...it got good reviews....well....Kadisha checked us in with a beautiful smile and was super helpful with everything we needed...she provided a nice room upgrade and we enjoyed our very nice clean room. Even the remotes were cleaned and packaged...this hotel was exceptionally clean, great bed, nice breakfast...and great staff....hope to be back this way in two weeks after Paris.....

I was very happy with my stay at this Best Western Plus. The front desk staff was polite and helpful. They had maps of the area with restaurants that offered discounts as well. The hotel is clean and quiet. It has a heated pool, fitness center, and laundry facilities. I would highly recommend to anyone that needs a place to stay, whether it's one night or several.

We stopped at this hotel for one night on our way South because it was convenient and near a variety of restaurants. We were very surprised by how nice it was. It was newly renovated and was beautiful inside. Our room was spacious and very clean and very quiet. It had a "fresh remote". Our king bed was very comfortable, the towels were white and fluffy and the toiletries higher end. The bathrooom was large and bright. The lighting was good. There were ample mirrors, a new flat screen TV with a great channel lineup, coffee pot, microwave and frig. It was a little more money than we usually pay for a one night stay but the free breakfast made up for the difference. Hot eggs and bacon, waffles, hot and cold cereal with lots of toppings, fruit, juices, coffee and sweet treats. They have a" no pet" policy which pleased us because of my allergies. The staff was friendly and helpful. Zack and Cie were always smiling, answered all our questions, took care of our special requests and had restaurant recommendations. We will be back, perhaps on our way back North.

This property was a Country Inn that was refurbished in early 2019 under the BW banner. The rooms were completely re-done, as well as the public areas. The bedding was great, as were the appointments and amenities in the room, including an excellent (ie, quiet) A/C-Heating unit. The front desk personnel and attendants at the breakfast were very cordial. The property is easy to get to off from the highway and there are restaurant and fuel services close to the property. A little oddity is that the two entrances to the hotel both show 'ENTER,' with no exit!! But, that is easy to overlook with the attention to details represented by owners and management o this hotel. We were traveling back north at the end of the year; there were a lot of choices; we picked this one and doubt we could have done better with the large number choices in the area.

This facility used to be a Country Inn & Suites. My husband and I have always stayed at this property on our way to Florida. I think the hotel is even better now! The rooms are clean and modern and they have a great breakfast.

If you need a place to lay your head for the night come see Zack! He has amazing customer service skills. Very personable and friendly. He quickly got me checked in and in my room! He also gave me recommendations for food and things I could do in the area. To top it off the room was clean and spacious. The beds could be more comfortable but other than that I was pleasantly surprised about my experience. I definitely will be staying here again if I'm coming through lake city. Zack keep being a rockstar!!!

front desk gal was very un friendly and really needs Csr training, rude, not much info giving when checking in, no smile, no hello, no idea for breakfast hours, did not comunate to us at all, talked to manager the next day and she said she would address it. after driving 14 hours ,we needed to just have a smile.

Great location with clean facilities and friendly staff. Bed was very comfortable and the room temperature was excellent. Breakfast was laid out in an orderly fashion with staff ready to assist too. It included waffles too. Great night.

Zack at the front desk was very friendly and helpful and suggested Marian's Deli in town for dinner which was very good. We were in a 3rd floor room at the back of the building and could not get wifi because of a weak signal in that part of the hotel. A little annoying.

We have not had much luck with other places lately....Hilton's...Marriott, etc due to noise....cleanliness....employees not doing their jobs correctly by letting people run and jump in hall. It's been a nightmare with us on the road at 3-4 AM. (You get the picture). This Best Western Plus was exceptional in every way possible. From accommodations to pleasant staff and delicious breakfast. We loved everything about this place. Apparently it had some renovations done in the last year and it's perfect. Very comfortable and relaxing. Would stay here again in a heartbeat We will now start looking for BWP places to stay in the future

We were coming back from New Orleans on our way home to South Florida. The hotel was easy to get to and close to Route 75. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was the normal fare and satisfying. I thought the price was high for an average hotel in a non-tourist city.

Enjoyed our stay - located right off of the highway, great room, great breakfast, comfortable and wonderful amenities. We know we can always depend on a great experience when we choose Best Westerns and it was a nice way to break up our trip to Orlando.

This is a remodeled hotel, very well cared for by the staff. Our room was on the back side of the building as was very quiet. Lots of amenities, such as coffeemaker, microwave, small fridge and large flatscreen TV. The bed was comfortable and had lots of pillows. The bathroom has ample counter space and a tub, which I appreciated for shaving my legs. My husband didn't care for the showerhead, but they had nice bath products that were free of irritating ingredients. The breakfast was pretty typical...so much white flour and sugar. I wish they had wheat bagels, bran muffins and Greek yogurt. Coffee had a very good flavor.The woman who takes care of the area did a great job keeping it clean and stocked. It goes until 10am which is very accommodating. There was a friendly gentleman who kept the parking lot and lobby area very clean and tidy. We would definitely stay here again!

I stayed at this hotel because I had stayed previously when it was associated with another brand, and decided to give it a try. The hotel has been redone, and is practically new. I was pleasantly surprised and very pleased with my choice to stay here and I will stay again when I am in the area again, and I am in the area at least twice per year.

We stayed here after a Florida football game. A very easy 40 minute drive from Oaks Mall in Gainesville, where we parked. Hotel was full of football fans from the game. Nothing fancy, but clean and easy to get to. Nice breakfast. Friendly staff.

Lobby was closed by 10 pm, making re-entry difficult at 10:15 and 11 pm because the automatic door would not open. There was no sign on the main road for the hotel, and when I called for directions and they said I was only 2 minutes away on the hotel map if I continued to go west, but although they saw my location, I should have gone east, which cost me 15 minutes. Although the hotel was beautifully refurbished, the long wide strip of mold or black wear from the bottom of the bathroom mirror to the sink was repulsive. The room kept getting colder because the heat was not working, and there was no clerk on duty to report it to. The internet worked fine until 1 AM, but then stopped working. When I checked out and told Zach that the room was 62 degrees from 3 AM on, he said he would look into it. I told him I left it running at 88 degrees but it was still cold, he seemed not to believe me. I tipped the maid with a note about the mold and lack of heat, which she should have reported.

We have stayed in this hotel many times in the past. The hotel is now a Best Western Plus, and this was by far our best experience. Everyone on staff was very accommodating to all of our needs and requests. Breakfast was excellent.

We stayed in Lake City after going to Gainesville, FL. to watch a Gator football game. The best Western Hotel looked very nice and clean from the outside as well as the inside lobby, entire room, and where we ate breakfast. Great breakfast, plenty of choices. This was a very nice hotel for the price. We will stay here again.

Check-in by Zack was fast and pleasant. This worker was there at 8PM and then again at 8AM. Route 75 was directly out our window which was a little noisy so if your a light sleeper I'd advise requesting a rear room. Room was very nice and clean with microwave, coffee maker and small refrigerator. Several restaurants close-by and some will deliver. Breakfast was a little on the lean side with scramble eggs and sliced ham slices but no potatoes, bacon or sausage. Waffle maker with toppings, french toast, fruit and bread items to choose from. All in all a pretty nice place to stay while on the road.

My Husband and I stayed at this Best Western Plus in Lake City, we used our points, which were outrageous to start, it took 28,000 points, we checked in, and the staff was very friendly, we went to the room, 206, walked in at 7pm, the AC was OFF!! this is Florida, so it was 95 degrees that day, so needless to say, it never cooled down, we were sweating all night long! Thank God we carry a fan, but it wasn't much help. So the next morning we checked out, I checked my bank account,only to find out they charged my card $30+, I called and they said yes, it was our mistake and it should fall off in 3-5 business days! Seriously, so now i am out that extra money, sweated at night, and the bed was hard, so an uncomfortable night! And a waste of points that took us several stays to earn! We stay in a Super 8 in Waycross Ga a lot, and it is 100% better than this expensive Best Western. We will never stay at this Location again!! Not worth the points or the cash.

Best western has step their game up and have created a great atmosphere. Hotel was very clean and peaceful. I stay with Best western every where I go now. I would highly recommend not just this hotel but any Best western across the US

I made a reservation for three nights with a desk clerk named, "Elbert" because we were having to evacuate our Florida home due to hurricane Dorian. Everything seemed great and we were happy to get the rates quoted to us, HOWEVER, WHEN I CALLED ON THURSDAY 8-29-2019 TO ASK ABOUT EXTENDING AN EXTRA DAY, THE DESK CLERK "ZACK" SAID THAT OUR RESERVATION WAS ONLY FOR TWO NIGHTS. i HAVE THE PRINTED CONFIRMATION SHOWING THE DATES, BUT WAS TOLD THAT THEY WERE SORRY BUT THEY WERE FULL DUE TO THE EVACUEES AND WE COULD NOT HAVE OUR THIRD NIGHT, EVEN THOUGH WE MADE THE CORRECT RESERVATION INITIALLY. After telling him that it was their mistake, not mine and demanding this problem to be fixed, I was put on hold while he spoke with his manager, Linda Beckner. After returning to the phone, I was told that "I could have that third night, but it would be $139.00. My price quote for that night originally was $98.10. This is EVACUEE PRICE GOUGING AND ILLEGAL. I HAVE CONTACTED OUR ATTORNEY. HE AGREES, SO I WILL LEGALLY FOLLOW UP. Do not stay here or make reservations that you need to rely on at this Best Western plus-----no longer a Country Inn and Suites !!!!

There were many options for hotel stays in the area but I had a coupon for BW and decided to stay there because of the discount. No one ever knows what the BW will offer since each is independently operated . I was not disappointed. The hotel has been newly redone, and the room I was assigned was clean. It is one of the few hotels that still offers hair conditioner in addition to shampoo. It is the little things that count. In addition, at breakfast there was one of the staff who volunteered to make waffles for guests. What a bonus! it was a nice touch. Since I was traveling, it is an easy on and off for Rte 75.

Clean, quiet, great staff, would definitely stay there again. Did recommend vegan breakfast options. Anxious to see if they accommodate next time. Have stayed at Best Western Hotels previously, while in Florida and they have taken suggestions seriously, and followed through with changes. This company is great down here!

We were here a year ago, when they were mid-transition from Country Inn and Suites. Now, as a Best Western Plus they are still wonderful! Clean, bright and a staff that goes above and beyond every time. Ms. Jutta is as warm and welcoming as ever! At check in, the room we booked through a third party provider was not available so the desk attendant upgraded us and told us as he handed us the key—all courtesy and professionalism. The breakfast was hot and well laid. The hotel is right off 75. You could not ask for a better stay.

This property was clean with a plentiful breakfast. There were several fruits available. The staff at the front desk was young but pleasant. One of the young ladies had to come to my room and manully set up my tv otherwise no issues.

We went to Itchitucknee springs for a family outing and stayed at the Best Western Lake City hotel. The hotel went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and appreciated. The gentleman at the front desk was extremely helpful and recommended things to do and see and restaurants. I am sorry I forgot his name but I do appreciate all he did. The rest of the staff we interacted with were also helpful and courteous. I highly recommend this hotel if you are in the area.

Due to traffic congestion on I-75 between Knoxville and Atlanta we were way behind schedule and tired. We needed to make an unplanned stop and Valdosta Georgia was all booked. We contacted Best Western and were able to get a last minute room at the Best Western Lake City The stay was great, the room was clean, and everything was great.

We stop here for just one night, but we enjoyed the time there. The staff member welcomed us great, and the room was very comfortable, nice space, and the pullout couch was good for my daughter. The breakfast had a good variety of foods. The place was very clean, and the staff was very friendly and courteous. Free parking, wifi and breakfast.

Hotel is clean which is huge for us! Rooms were decorated tastefully. Hotel staff was very friendly & helpful! Breakfast was sufficient & goes from 6-10am. So we were able to relax & sleep in a bit & still get breakfast.

We stayed her for the weekend because we were visiting one of the state parks with some friends. Upon arriving we were greeted with a smile and the hotel was very clean and the rooms updated. The beds were comfortable and the staff was very nice. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of one staff member that seemed to ignore us, but everyone else went above and beyond to help make it a nice stay.

We stayed one night on our way home from FL to NC. They remodeled the rooms and they look very nice. The beds were very comfortable. The welcome package at checkin is a nice touch. We will be staying again on our next trip from FL.

We stopped in here after a very long drive and we so grateful we did. Sparkling clean room, excellent bed, wonderful bed linens and the towels were fabulous. We had everything we needed for a good night's rest. Breakfast the next morning was enjoyed by all.

I was booked into this hotel by the VA the night before early morning surgery. The young man who checked us in Sunday night was very courteous and helpful. I found the guest room to be well appointed and very clean and comfortable. The furnishings were very contemporary and tasteful. The large television offered many HD channels. The bath linens were first class. The breakfast attendant was also very accommodating Monday morning. I would recommend this hotel for anyone on business or a leisure trip.

Our first visit to this high traffic stop on I-75. The reviews were spot on. The hotel was a good choice. One of my main gripes in this price range is poorly equipped amenities and particularly chinsy towels rationed out in threes. These were plump and new and plenty for a night time and morning shower. The room was clean, perhaps a little dark, but we were asleep though most of it. Would very definitely stay again and recommend to our friends

This is one of the best Best Westerns I have been in. The hotel was clean, the staff was beyond friendly and helpful (not overly so where it seems fake but the perfect combo making you feel welcome). The breakfast was yummy and full of options. I would totally stay again if I was in the area.

The grounds were cleaned and manicured. Structure was cleaned and loved the colors. Staff was helpful and takes care of your needs. Room was clean and neat. Smelled fresh and clean. Bed waa firm but slept very well. Wasn't stuffy. Didn't get a chance to enjoy pool but it was nice.

Stayed here because of the reviews on Trip Advisor,didn't have a reservation but we got the last room they had, which was a suite... very clean, comfy beds.... the staff was super,,,, will stay again next trip south!!! Only negative was the food at breakfast, it was cold and I was there when they opened at 6am...

If you are in Lake City and need a place to stop over night, this is your place. Chris at the front desk was wonderful. We must of looked Road weary because she gave us a room where we could rest away from the group that was there. The room was immaculate and nicely furnished and had windows that opened. My husband had left his case with his Rx behind and the BW graciously mailed it to us down in the FL Keys. Thank you Jackie for finding it and then sending it to us. We will definitely be stopping here again! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Great hotel with great staff! It has recently been updated and it is very nice. We had a quiet room on the 3rd floor. We loved it. The breakfast area is spacious and very clean. Again really friendly staff.

The second best BW+ we have stayed in. Although that is not really fair as the other was the BW in Fort Myers Beach and it is a resort and well has the beach. But this is a great hotel. Zack at the front desk was the best. Upgraded and when asked to be on 1st floor that was not a problem. Was difficult to find.

I think this is a new motel. Everything was clean and fresh looking. Staff was helpful. The room was larger than most. Comfortable beds, though quite tall. Room was quiet and everything worked. There are several restaurants within easy driving distance.

We reservations at a nearby hotel. Walked in, smelled a horrible Oder and managed to cancel our reservation. Called the Best Western and connected with a lovely lady at th reservation desk who booked a quiet room for us, gave us directions, and was waiting to check us in when we arrived. Our room was clean, the products provided were a great quality, breakfast in the morning included fresh fruit, bagels, waffles etc. along with a friendly lady who refilled the coffee pots, juice etc as soon as it emptied. Every area of the hotel was clean and smelled fresh rather than covered by air freshener. The friendliness of the staff made our stay even better. This was our first stay at a Best Western Plus. It won't be our last.

Stayed for one night on way to St. Petersburg. Impressed with newly remodeled rooms, was done high quality. Bed was very comfortable, top of the line TV, had a refrigerator, microwave, and in room coffee maker. Good breakfast: cold cereals, oatmeal, waffles, variety of bread and pastries. Eggs, sausage and gravy. Three different juices and coffee. Would stay again. Have never been disappointed with our stays at any Best Western.

This is our fifth or sixth trip through the area and this hotel never disappoints. Clean room, good shower pressure and good breakfast. Staff is very friendly. Kind of sad that they removed the hot tub.

The second of our recent stays in a Country Inn and both featured helpful staff, clean rooms and an enjoyable breakfast. Desk clerk provided discount coupons for various restaurants nearby and we took advantage of Texas Longhorn, good friendly service and a very good meal. Overall it was a very restful stopover on a long trip.

This was our first stay at this Hotel. My family and myself had a nice overnight stay here. The staff was very helpful especially the breakfast staff. The grandchildren enjoyed the pool immensely. Would definitely stay here again.
