Best Western Lafayette Inn

This hotel was mid. The rooms were decent enough to spend the night but we felt extremely unsafe going outside. One of the cars for our group were broken into one of the nights we were there. There was a lot of riff raff walking around outside, people sitting inside cars smoking weed, people tripping on meth at Shell station next door dancing around. What a sight to see. If you are traveling with kids, go somewhere else. I feel sorry for the staff because they can't help where their hotel is located but it was definitely an eye opener.

This hotel is very nice. Personnel is very friendly. Very good location. Our room was very quiet... Nice surprise because it is very close to highway. Had a nice breakfast with eggs. The bed was very comfortable and the Internet was fast. Very easy to go places from this location. The gym needs maintenance. It was too cold to use the pool.

When you go ask for valerie shes very helpful and knowledgeable. The staff is so friendly and helpful. the breakfast was amazing. The maintenance staff was right on point when in need also Sue and mary was life of the hotel. I would go back when i'm back in town.

Everything was so nice and clean. The beds were comfortable and the pillows were great! The check in was quick and the ladies were very kind and helpful! The price was great too! We were working and broke down coming through Lafayette and we were so glad they were close.

DANGEROUS! Traveled with fam from MA to LA for a funeral. A stranger invaded in-law's room while they were out, removed ALL of his clothes and left them behind. AS WE WERE LEAVING FOR THE FUNERAL, co-owner, Snehal Patel, blamed the terrified victims, acted as though she was a hired worker by never revealing her or her sister's owner status as they stood behind the desk claiming they could not give refunds or check the security cameras and asserted that we should wait until 3:00 p.m. for the manager. Knowing we would be leaving on Sunday, the Patel family also forbade the otherwise helpful staff/manager from offering a refund, checking the cameras or offering resolution. We were also charged for an evening NOT spent at the hotel because we checked out after 11:00, having spent the better part of the morning/afternoon AT A FUNERAL! Neither corporate nor the Patel family has NOT reached out, NOT offered a refund, NOT offered an apology for the unlawful and potentially dangerous intrusion of a room that violates the legal short-term rental agreement known as a hotel stay.

While my sister and mother were away a man entered their room, removed ALL his clothes, did God knows what, land eft his dirty clothes (including underwear), on a chair. Owners did nothing but pawn the issue onto a very nice manager whose hands were tied because needed authorization from owner for a refund. The owners even charged us for a night's stay that we were not there due to feeling unsafe! Also, they turned the water off without telling anyone. On top of all this, we were in town for a funeral and did not have the time or emotional strength to deal with these despicable owners. Law enforcement has been notified and local news will be too.

Very unclean rooms, unsafe hotel and extremely rude management and scam artist owners. My family did not feel comfortable for all those reasons and wanted to get out of staying there for valid reasons only after one night, owners were very standoffish and rude and basically told us too bad. One family group ended up staying at another hotel while paying for multiple unused nights. Unfortunately not all of us could afford that. You have been warned BEWARE!!

Clean comfortable room, and hands down some of the best scrambled eggs and patty sausage I've ever eaten at any hotel anywhere. Eggs were fresh and fluffy and sausage patties were savory and of a large biscuit size diameter. Nice selection of other breakfast items. I'm attaching a picture. Bed was comfortable and hotel appointed with photographs of local places. I will definitely stay here again when passing through.

The whole team here has a great personality and performance in their work and general talks and in any need they went out of their way to make our stay the greatest and we will always stay here at this great place

This one of the nicer Best Western hotels. Undergoing renovations while were there. Clean room. Good breakfast. Good location. Staff was good and responsive. Parking is nice and secure. A few work trucks there loaded with tools, they seemed comfortable with the location.

breakfast was great, team member was awesome especially the manager. they were in the middle of remodeling, but they seem to keep it together. the pool was nice and cool. It was right off the high way and they gave me a great place to go and eat.

Moldy smell on the rooms, leaky ac units made our bags wet, ac filter were completely blocked by dust, bed sheets torned, not working hair dryer. The staff is great and with a great attitude, the lobby and breakfast area very clean and organized. 100 mbps internet speed.

Worst ever, staff don't care, ac leaks in floor in both rooms, leaves a smell. Someone else's clothes left behind(so wasn't cleaned). Had to run down towels. Druggies come in and have breakfast with you.

The staff here is amazing and it has a great location by it being located less than a mile from I-10 not to mention there are restaurants right across the highway I would really recommend this location.

Hit my credit card with an extra FIFTY DOLLARS. The curtain was torn, I reported this to the front desk. The lady just picked up the phone and ignored me. They did not give me a printed copy of the receipt.

This property is a disgrace! The bathroom is filled with mold. The wall next to the shower is crumbling. The room reeked of antiseptic in an effort to cover up the smell of mold. The front desk person was the only saving grace associated with this property. He seemed frustrated with the situation, yet had no solution.

The room was comfortable, breakfast typical but mostly tasty, but the location seems to be in decline and our room was noisy. We shared a wall with the breakfast buffet and were awakened early after a late arrival. Also, the double room had smaller than queen sized beds.

I felt I was set up and about to be robbed. Left the place 20 mins after checking in because of how endangered I felt, NeverAgain will I stay a this particular location. Just to be clear it's the first time this ever happens to me at a BestWestern

my wife & i spent the night in lafayette, louisiana after leaving new orleans on monday ( 15aug22 ). we wanted to drive thru the state of louisiana & just travel. i did some research before going & the drive & the scenery was perfect. customer service is very friendly & polite. the rooms & the area is sooo clean. it's a place to visit for a night or two from your travels.

Stayed one night while traveling to visit family, the lobby is beautiful and the young ladies that checked my in and out very both very friendly and professional. I asked to have my points added and it was done with a smile and I was also informed of a promo that was going on that I was unaware of. Highly recommend this location

The service at the hotel is amazing. The food was great and fresh. There was a variety of items for breakfast. Google maps takes you somewhere else when entering their address so kind of hard to find.

The lobby is gorgeous but the rooms are dated and barely clean. Avoid this location if you can. Unfortunately we didn't even feel like our vehicle wouldn't be broken into by the morning (located in ghetto neighborhood). The pictures online were beyond deceiving. The staff was sweet and helpful unfortunately it's wasted on a rundown location.

This hotel was very clean and the staff was very attentive to our needs. The staff even recommended a local restaurant for us to eat at. Stayed with our teenage granddaughters, they loved the workout room. We will defiantly stay here again

Smoke smell in 2nd room after our 1st room had a banging noise from the AC unit. Fridge was moldy, ac was broken, the breakfast was basic.bad neighborhood and not clean. Our room has smudges on the mirror and on the headboard

Very nice staff! Hotel was very clean and rooms were nice and breakfast was great. This hotel is located in very close proximities to many restaurants. The air conditioner worked very well. Bathrooms were very clean. Beds were also very comfortable.

Basic motel, clean with friendly and helpful staff. Rooms need updating as furniture was worn and bath / shower had visible black areas in the ceiling and shower head / controls are worn out. Good basic breakfast.

We were initially greeted at reception by a very unfriendly receptionist. Our room had clearly not been vacuumed as there were crumbs on the floor from the previous occupants. The fire alarm was off the floor and lying in pieces on the dressing table. The coffee making facilities including coffee & creamer were located in the bathroom which was most unhygienic- needless to say we didn't use it!! The grill for the bathroom extractor fell off during the night covering the bathroom with debris including dead insects, which I cleaned up in order to use the facilities in the morning. I reported this to the reception staff and got an ‘okay' with no attempt made to provide an apology. There was also a lot of noise from the adjacent motel overnight. The only positive about the place was the bed was comfortable and clean but not a pleasant experience overall.

The room hearing/cooling did not work as intended. It's hard to get a good nights sleep here because the curtains are installed right above the ventilation devices causing the curtains to not close, the morning light just streams in at dawn. The toilet seat cover was literally broken at the hinges and totally detached, I could just place it on the ground. Mound in the bathtub and the ceiling above it.

My family stayed here for 1 night. It seemed ok at first, not really in the best area, but fine for 1 night. We checked in around 7:30 pm. Once we got to the desk, all you could smell was weed. Both floors smelled like it, even the room. It's supposed to a nonsmoking hotel. I also think there was something sketchy going on in the lobby (like prostitution). The room was ok, but ac barely worked, and the toilet would not flush. I told the lady at the desk & she gave me a plunger. The next morning, we found out there was no hot water. We told the front desk and she said that they knew about the hot water and it just hadn't been fixed yet. WHY would you book rooms that you knew had no hot water?? My kids had been playing baseball, everything smelled like weed, and we couldn't even shower. We did end up taking cold showers and it was awful. I asked for a different room that had hot water & she said there were none. I asked for a refund and she said only the manager can give a refund & I would have to call on Monday. So I did call on Monday and every day after that and never got to speak with the manager. On Thursday a worker called to say that I would only be getting refunded $50. Save yourself the frustration and stay somewhere else!!

Badly needs updating room had an odor. Mold in many areas in the bathroom. The other best western hotels we have stayed at seemed to take advantage of Covid and upgrade most of their decor. This hotel is shabby at next. Would not stay here again

Nastiest hotel room I've ever had anywhere. There was literally black mold/mildew growing in the shower head. Semen stains on head boards and on chair. Filthy place! And the breakfast was terrible.. nothing hot, no cereal. No milk. Had to return to front desk twice after check in because keys didn't work. One towel for 3 people. And the phone didn't work!

The room they had reserved for me and my family of 5 had not been cleaned and the cleaning crew was gone. We were given another room and when we went to try and open the door, someone came to the door who was already saying in that room. Then we were told there were no other rooms available at all and that we would have to look for another hotel at 2 am.

Clean, Friendly, quiet. Need to fix the map directions link on there website. It takes you to dead end a few miles away. enter the address into your maps instead. The gentleman on the phone gave me directions to the Waffle house across the street. that was he only glitch.

Poor, shampoo lotions,etc. Much better breakfast needed even in covid. I'd called before hand about the breakfast and was told it would be different than it was. They gave tiny muffin. Need a muffin of quality! Or give out 25 small itty-bitty ones. The bathroom need better workmanship. The shower partially worked. The overall bathroom looks cheap quality from floor molding to painting. Greatly disappointed. Not a BW experience! Felt like a Motel 6. Front staff are emotionless and uncaring robots.

This location was BEYOND DISGUSTING. Between the odor of weed everywhere to the people up stairs, to the left of us, and across the hall screaming and throwing furniture till 3am we were fed up and left in the middle of the night. Around 9 pm the front desk lady was SO HIGH SHE GAVE SOMEONE OUR ROOM AND THEY WALKED RIGHT INTO OUR ROOM!!!!! Our son was awoken by strangers walking in while trying to sleep. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND A BEST WESTERN TO ANYONE EVER AGAIN.

Travel through Louisiana with my kids and arrived really late at the hotel. The gentleman at the front desk was very kind and speedy with our check in process which was very helpful. Great experience.

Mattresses need replaced..... No breakfast and we had to take out our own towels and trash.... They did not even offer a discount!!!! =( The alarm went off at 430 am and it took like 15 mins to get it turned off .

Basic adequate room & breakfast. Nothing fancy. Positive - lots of plug-ins and drawers. Need better training for staff. 1 night deactivated room cards while at dinner. 4 day stay but 1 day didn't make up room at all. Cashier didn't know how to handle Best Western gift cards at checkout but nice about it & didn't hold us up until Manager arrived so we could get on road. Not enough tables on busy weekends for breakfast. If mostly out touring place is adequate for the price & we would stay again if rate good.

I made my reservation through Expedia. On arrival I requested to see my room before checkin as I do 200+ times a year at hotels. This lady refused and assired me even if the room did not meet my standards the I would not get a refund. As I assured her indeed I will get my money back she finally obliged and let me check the room. Regardless the hotel and the city as a whole is a place I would avoid unless you have no alternative.

We drive to TX 1-2 times each year. We have stayed in this lodging for the last 7-8 years. The lobby is newly remodeled. The rooms are very clean and well equipped. The breakfast is nice. The staff has always been very congenial.

If your traveling thru the area, it's a good place to stay that won't break the bank. I stay at plenty of hotels not near this nice that cost more than this one. Perfect for workers in the area. And a well stocked breakfast with coffee made early

Clean, and overall great experience. Staff worked to check us in early and housekeeping went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. This hotel looked newer from the inside than we expected. Beds were comfortable and everything felt very new. Area surrounding hotel is not the greatest (some panhandling at gas station nearby ) but actual hotel parking lot felt well-lit and secure. I still wouldn't leave valuables in car though.

Very clean rooms, friendly staff. The breakfast was delicious with something for everyone. Loved the waffles with fresh butter. You couldn't ask for a better value for your money. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Great weekend for family and friends. We were here for a family event and luckily it was the same weekend as the music festival. Fun, food, music and dancing! We had a great time. The folks at Best Western were great.

We checked in, then went out to eat. Later, ready for bed I got in and landed in a good sized wet spot. Disgusting is not a big enough word to say how appalled I was. It looked like someone had wet the bed. Adding to that the shower wall had something squirted on it that had dried. I was so tired that I tried to scrub it off myself. The towel was filthy afterwards. I'm afraid to think what it was. Of course I called the front desk. The young lady was just as disgusted as I was. She gave us a new room but the shower was also dirty. By this time it was late, around 10:00pm, so we only used the sink and went to bed. The next morning I was exhausted because I was still too grossed out to sleep well. We went to the front desk only to hear how sorry they were and that they would give us an insulting 25% discount and that the owner would call us. She never did! She had her money - case closed for her. If this establishment were in anyway professional they would have given their manager the authorization to not charge us and to at least call us. This was a truly surreal experience, I still cannot believe that this really happened to me!

We stopped here on the way to Texas, liked it so much we stopped on the way back. Friendly staff, clean rooms, comfortable beds. Breakfast was fresh and well stocked. Location was good for traveling to the locations we wanted to visit nearby.

I enjoy staying at this location when traveling in this area you can't go wrong the price is right and you get good services. Excellent customer services, very clean in and out doors. We will stay again

We stay here every three months due to my sons doctor appointments. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The hot breakfast is delicious. We always ask for a room on the first floor (wheelchair). The staff always makes sure we are well taken care of.

I stopped here with my aunt and uncle on way to MD Anderson. Relatively new hotel and the rooms are nice. Pretty centra location. They have an average breakfast. Very close to I-10. Not far from rstaurants and a grocery store.

I was extremely please with the overall security and decor of the rooms. It was well thought out and a calming array of vibrant colors. The overnight staff CSR was pleasant and wonderful. It was clean and friendly!

We stayed three nights and the room was barely made up. One night we had to replace our own towels and toilet paper. The staff was friendly did little to service the room. It was a disappointment for a Best Western and their reputation.

The staff was very kind, our room was very clean, and most importantly the breakfast was magnificent and delicious . I would 100 percent recommend this hotel to anyone we wants a good stay and excellent breakfast.

My husband has stayed here for weeks at a time for business travel. He says it is clean, comfortable and he also likes the fact they have food available. He will be going back this week for another stay. Very reasonable.

Great place for the price. Nice people work here very friendly and helpful. Price is reasonable and breakfast is ok for hotel breakfast. Location is not the best, roads in poor shape and some lower class motel next door. My shower curtain smelled bad but stayed only one night. I am sure they would have replaced it if asked.

What can I say, I've stayed in Best Westerns all over the country and this one has the best staff and best customer service. Snehal was amazing at check in/out. Using rewards points to pay for the rooms ended up to be a nightmare, but she was gracious, patient, and kind through the entire 45 minute process. The staff was friendly, friendliest housekeeping staff I've ever encountered. Birdie was the beez neez at breakfast, gave me the inside scoop on which coffee had been put out most recently. Shared a little conversation and laugh with her. If you're staying or driving through Lafayette and need a place to stay, stay here. clean rooms, good breakfast, and AMAZING hotel staff!

Great price for a pretty nice hotel. Staff was super friendly and helpful... breakfast was actually pretty good... rooms were nice... I liked that it was indoor access!! Neighborhood looked kind of sketchy but not the hotels fault. I'd stay there again!

Spent 1 night here and was very impressed. The hotel appears to have been recently renovated and is super clean. Nice front desk staff especially in the morning at check out. Good breakfast !!! The historic district is about a ten minute ride and was nice place to walk around except for the annoying panhandlers. The businesses around this hotel are not very nice and nothing really within walking distance. Very, very quiet with comfortable beds and nice pillows. An oustanding value !!!

I stay in a lot of Best Western hotels for my work and I can say that this hotel gives the company a good name. The room was updated, clean and well maintained. The staff was helpful and friendly. Got a great night's sleep which of course is the most important thing of all. Will definitely stay here again.

I stayed for one night in a room on the first floor near the lobby. The room itself was standard, nothing special. You can hear the banging of doors pretty regularly from your own room and I was told that the night I stayed was slow, so beware of that. The front desk staff was friendly and efficient, the in-room WiFi worked great and the breakfast was standard (eggs, sausage, waffles, yogurt, etc). This property was not very memorable and so I give it 3 stars.

This was a pretty straightforward Best Western. Though it is near the freeway, the location is relatively quiet. It was a decent bed. Friendly staff and a fairly typical eggs/bacon/waffles/serial breakfast offering.

During our recent stay near New Orleans we decided to visit some Plantations and decided to stay at the Best Western. We enjoyed our stay at this Best Western and they met the standard of what we expect at and the location helped us when we went to visit near by Plantations.

If you are looking for a quality hotel at a great price, this one is it. Room were clean, bed was comfortable and staff was friendly. Easy access to highway and located in Lafayette area where I could get just about anywhere within 10 minutes.

Rooms are small comparable to the price, and the amenities are sub-par. There was a problem with the water pressure. The shower faucet leaked. There was a problem with the door. The front desk receptionist had her kids running around. My suggestion...only book as a last resort!!!

At a better price than many, this hotel had wonderful beds, nice decor, good breakfast. It was quiet, despite being on a busy thoroughfare. Great location off the highway. Their nice and helpful staff was terrific!

This Best Western is just fine if you are passing through. The hotel is compact and has the usual light breakfast which is handy. Staff were friendly. Room was ok, not wonderful. There was some sort of slippery substance in the bathroom floor that made the room feel dirty. Headboards also had oily marks on them from people's heads. We probably would stay elsewhere if we were driving through town however we probably won't be back here anytime soon.

My family experience a loss and the front manager was comforting Very sweet lady. I swear this place is well kept. They made you feel really at home. I really enjoyed my stay there. It was so appreciated.

We were down visiting my mother and stayed a this hotel, which is where we stay when ever we are in Lafayette. It is close to everything we need the staff is friendly, they alway greet you with a snile and is always willing to help if needed. Again thanks to Valerie and the rest of the staff that made our stay a good one.

The refrigerator was dirty with bottles from prior stay. The room was sorta clean. There were streamers still taped to the wall. There were several spots with glitter in the carpet. Breakfast was not fresh, eggs were dried out. Gravy was cold.

Hotel is nice, clean, and comfortable...but when you have rude employees(yes you Goldie) that had to call about a three year old making foot noise on the second floor(room only over lobby and employee area) twice whic was the only times we were in the room which made the child's mom stay on him until I thought she would have a breakdown...they could have offered a ground floor room if we were disturbing their naps but Goldie just complained...She did not complain when a group of bikers flooded the lobby as we were leaving for an engagement, she didn't complain when housekeeping was blaring their music down the hall as they were cleaning and guest what...neither did we...very nice building but made for a horrible long weekend

Black mold on wall and floor by a/c unit. Toilet has not been cleaned and seat is held on by one bolt. Showed manager and he walked away. Called to change rooms,but supposedly none available. Hard tobreathe.

THis location is a gem. Would fit right in in a resort. The lobby has a brick fireplace with large TV. THe rooms a large with nice furnishings and the remotes are placed in a little bag infront of the TV for cleanliness. There is a fridge and microwave. Plenty of coffee and tea to wake up too. Breakfast was very good. Overall a very restful night.

Checked in expecting nothing really great or special. The girl at the desk was really nice and had me checked in swiftly. Went up to the room and was pleasantly surprised. The rooms was really nice. So, I'm giving a two thumbs up and I will be staying here more often when I'm in the area.

run away from this location, musty room, rude employees, no towels till mid morning, dirty, and a shooting in the parking lot. Also when you have a problem good luck getting someone to call you back. Also loud banging noises and outside door opening constantly, very unsafe hotel that doesn't value the safety of the people staying there

We stopped for one night and the room was great. Breakfast was hot and plentiful. There was a mix up when my daughter checked in. They gave us the wrong room and charged us before catching the mistake. Charged us again for the right room and now having to wait for credit to come through.

Staff was amazing as well as everything else about our stay. A few times there were people just hanging out in the parking lot but overall great stay! The pool needs shade - there is none at all. Breakfast was good!

We stayed on the way to Disney World and so glad we did! The staff was so friendly and our stay was the restful and enjoyable! This was our favorite Best Western hotel on our trip and would stop here again and would recommend anyone passing through to stay.

We were very pleased with the Best Western Lafayette Inn. The staff was friendly. Our rooms were clean and comfortable. They serve a full breakfast with options such as biscuits, eggs, sausage, waffles, cereal, fruit, and other items. The rates were also reasonable. This Best Western is located right off I10 and I49 and it was easy to get in and out of the area. We were not there during football season, so don't know how traffic would be during that time of the year. We will definitely stay at Best Western Lafayette on our return trips.

Beware!!! I am a BW Gold member and stay with Best Western all over the country. This location at Lafayette LA is the worst. The checkin process took at least 30 minutes with computer issues as the continued excuse. Two hours later I received a phone call from the front desk accusing me of fraudulent behavior and hung up on me of which I am extremely offended. I arrived at the front desk to ascertain what could be the issue. I was met with continuous poor customer service and unprofessional behavior from Sadie and her coworker. It seems they don't know how to read a reservation and it's attributes and they are under trained in guest services. Don't stay here!! Save your sanity and your pocketbook!!

We arrived on Friday the 13th and were treated great. There were a lot of people there so in the morning for breakfast they were out of alot of the breakfast items but right of way they restocked the items, breakfast was great

Check in was super. Hotel was clean. Parking was close. Area felt safe. Gas station within walking distance. Breakfast was filling. Water temperature in the shower was so inviting. Nice stay not far from lots of Lafayette attractions.

Decent motel for a decent price for a night. Downside is that there are no decent restaurants in the immediate area but that isn't their fault. Clean room and quiet. Great location to stop for us driving from Orlando to East Texas! Girl working the desk was very helpful!

Our trip to Lafayette started out horrible with another hotel. We ended up booking with Best Western instead just by a walk in. Rachael was the front desk agent who helped me and went above and beyond on making us feel at home. The housekeepers do their job and the rooms are very nice. We even walked by when they were cleaning a room and they were scrubbing the floor. They even clean the remotes, after witnessing this, I don't think I could stay at another hotel that didn't. The housekeepers and all front desk agents are kind and helpful. The appearance of the room was excellent and smelt amazing. I would love to stay here again, if I am in the area soon.

Stayed here for 2 nights whilst visiting Chicago cheaper than staying in Chicago. Only 14 miles from Chicago. Hotel clean helpful & cheerful reception staff. Room had to double beds, nice clean bathroom. Breakfast was self service with cold and hot food available. All in all handy and clean would stay again.

No complaints other than no HBO. Very good value compared to others in the area. Lots of breakfast options. USA Today free was nice. Hallways looked like a very expensive hotel. Good positioning of TV in relation to desk and bed.

Good location,very clean great employees I don't know how old this property is it looks brand new,very quiet I didn't hear the ajoining rooms or anyone in the hallway.I did not use the pool or spa so i can not rate it.

Best Western Lafayette, LA was an exceptional experience for my fiance' and I. From the moment we were greeted by the Manager on Duty, to the immaculate conditions of the rooms, staff interaction, and cleanliness throughout the entire hotel inside and out, not to mention how comfortable and safe my fiance and I felt during our stay foes without saying!!!!

Really surprised on the total package, rated 100% superior. Thank You for a quality time away from home. Get rid of the pet fee and this could be our travel home away from home. Thanks Again for a comfortable stay and pleasant breakfast meal

The building appears to be recently renovated - nice paint, wall coverings, carpet, new tile - lobby looked great; room was clean and the bathroom was awesome. Here's the but.... rowdy, loud, still going on at 11:30 pm, dogs barking at 6 am... I don't know - just seems that it won't take long before it's not such a nice place. It worked for what it was for - a quick stay after arriving at the airport but...

It took 40 minutes to check in. One clerk on duty who did not greet anyone as the line grew ever longer When I interrupted to ask for the manager, he said he was it. When I finally was at the head of the line, The clerk did not acknowledge, much less apologize for, the wait. Instead, he asked: Did you need to see the manager? I said yes indeed, still do. He said he was the only person I could talk with. When I told him that I've traveled extensively and this was the worst check-in experience ever, he said: "I'm here on my own." The clincher: "What did you expect?" And when I reiterated that this had been an awful experience, he said I should consider myself lucky, because the line usually extends out the door. Never has a clerk basically said that I was a fool to expect anything better at his hotel. I tried calling Best Western customer service 800 number and just got a busy signal for 10 minutes. Hope this information helps guide the hotel to train employees to provide better customer service and to having at least two clerks on duty. Must people suffer to get a room here? I don't think I'll be going to a Best Western ever again.

Picked this hotel whole on the road as a stopover while on a two-day drive. Arrived late and left early. The staff was friendly and courteous during late night check-in and early check-out. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was on time and ok. Hotel access is a little bit awkward from highway, but overall all good.

The rate was decent and had an indoor pool for the kiddos. The pool water was GREEN. Then, our room had a spider web in the corner and the spider was in our bed. We had a pull out for the kiddos to sleep on. No sheets. I called the front desk and finally got sheet almost 2 hours later- which was 12:30am. The front desk wouldn't ever answer. Last, when I went to checkout and get a receipt they wouldn't give it to me only my spouse bc his name was on the room. So, I had to go out to get him from the car to come back in to get a receipt. Wouldn't stay here again, ever.

There are a lot of choices in Lafayette for hotels. I don't believe this is a good one. Pros: front desk staff were polite and helpful; close to Interstate 10; breakfast was fine. Cons: room was very dirty; sheets were stained and there was hair on the top sheet; hotel seemed dirty; could hear cleaning staff outside the room talking about fighting other people and cursing, which was frustrating because our 7 year-old could hear them.

Completed rooms very comfortable and updated. Clean!! Fairly quiet. Bar/restaurant within walking distance (another hotel). Major issues at breakfast. BW waffle machine started burning batter no matter how long it was in waffle iron!! Staff immediately handled. Unfortunately, milk had turned as well!! Staff very kind about the issues.

Very clean and helpful staff. Lobby still under construction but it looks like it will be very nice. The staff was very helpful and the hotel is dog friendly. Will stay here again when going through Lafayette.

Lobby under construction. Should be really nice when complete. Really nice front desk employees. Made reservations prior to arriving but when I got there there was no record of me calling. I was given a reservation number but it couldn't be found. The nice lady at the front desk was able to get me another room. Convenient location from the highway. Very easy to find and lots of places to eat nearby.

went to louisiana for leisure and chose BW as I am a rewards member drab but not bad; room was decent, decor ok, everything in working condition. breakfast items were not fresh nor was there much variety. location was good. front desk staff was helpful

The bedding look a little "used" or worn. I got into bed only to find a wet spot. Upon investigation, found wet urine. Desk clerk said it was likely the maid's doing. He was very helpful moving us to another room. That room had a toilet bowl full of unflushed paper, etc. He flushed it and everything else passed inspection so we stayed there. Desk clek had a great attitude in this case. Later called because it sounded like a rock band was holding a gig outside. He took care of that too. I am so glad the urine stained sheet was still wet or I would have been sleeping in dried urine. Use caution when checking in to this place. My stay here was unique in all my travel experience.

This hotel is newly remodeled. The rooms are nice and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. It is difficult to get to the hotel and leave on a very circuitous route.The breakfast was fresh and plentiful.

Quiet and convenient right off hwy 10 and has all the security amenities ive come to expect from a Best western. Laundry was cheap here too. $0.75 wash & $1.75 dry. Not bad for a hotel and has a security camera as well.

Nice Pet friendly motel. Perfect for halfway stop to Florida. Newly furnished rooms. Paint and carpet. Awesome friendly staff. Easy access to interstate and local restaurants. Prejean's is the best for Duck Gumbo.

The hotel itself was OK but the dining area is very small and our room was too near the highway and the traffic noise never stopped all night long. Plus this hotel is not near a regular restaurant. I had Google mapped the hotel area and it said there was a Cracker Barrel just a block or so below the hotel. But there was none!! As it turned out there's a gas station that has on its lighted sign "Cracker Barrel" (WTF??) We then drove further down the road but found nothing worthwhile.

We arrived in Lafayette late and stayed here. It was in the process of some renovations, but our room was very clean and very comfortable. The beds were comfy and there were no loud roads to disturb us. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again!

The room was clean and orderly. The service was excellent. We always try to find a Best Western as close as possible to our destination. We are always pleased with our stay. This time we had a dual purpose. We had events to attend on two separate days in and around Lafayette, La. The hotel was close to both events and we were also able to attend Mass at a church nearby.

Friendly and helpful front desk staff when we checked in, speedy and knowledgeable. Rooms clean and spacious. The low rating because of the breakfast Experience on 10th September. the guy at the front desk not really helpful and food was out and not replenished. When asking for food the answer was no more! Otherwise a good stay and recommend.

The hotel is very dirty. The furniture are very bad. The towers are not clean. Bedsheets are dirty. Location is not bad. The breakfast is normal items and presentation is so so. Overall I won't go back again

The check in staff were very friendly, even helped me with our bags. Allowed us to check in 30 minutes ahead and I was so grateful as a huge thunderstorm was about to hit. Great selection for breakfast. What we had was fresh and was perfect for our needs.

Needed a place to stay at the last minute after becoming too tired to continue driving to New Orleans was lucky enough to find this Best Western when I needed to rest. Night clerk was very helpful and made sure that I got all of my rewards member benefits.

My wife and I had just arrived that night from the Tampa, FL area, so needless to say, it was a long day for us. When I went to check in, Brian, the front desk clerk was both positive in attitude as well as personable. He worked with me on the price of an upgrade. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel!

It was a one night stay in which I chose to stay a a best western because overall these hotels are moderately priced and in most instances are clean and inviting room surroundings. The staff was welcoming and expeditiously check us in on a timely basis.

We stayed one night at the Best Western Hotel in Lafayette. La. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The room was clean and the breakfast was very good. The Hotel was close to Interstate 10. We would stay there again if we are in the area.

Spent one night here just passing through. We found this hotel in our AAA tourbook - there were two BW in the area - this was the less expensive one. They were doing some renovations, so there was some piles of materials outside. The room we had was nicely decorated - obviously renovated recently. The breakfast area was rather lacking in our opinion, plus we had to wait on coffee and some food items.

We found this motel to be extremely dirty, both the public areas and the rooms. The stairwells had rubbish in them, there were beer bottles outside the door of the exit we used to get to our car. The bed was lumpy location was noisy, old fittings and fixtures in the room were worn out, curtain was ripped, lamps did not work, room not clean, in need of an extensive renovation. Overpriced for an old place. The staff were pleasant enough but that doesn't make up for being charged for something that was not delivered. Another woman at breakfast shared her similar impression.

5 times I have stayed here 5 times in the past 6 months and twice thet put me in a room by the stairwell door, so no sleep there hearing the door slam closed all night. After I complained, the next time they put me next to the elevstor, same thing. I complained again, and this time this week I was placed in a very strong mildew smelling room, late at night after I had driven 7 hours, and I was too tired to change it. The next morning the elevator quit working while I was on it with a full cooler and luggage, which I ended up having to carry down two flights of stairs. Never staying here again. If u dont care about getting a good nights sleep, stay here, the breakfast is good.

When I'm in Lafayette,LA. I stay at the Beast Western friendly staff very helpful and clean rooms with hot breakfast and coffee to start your day. Never an issue checking in and alway as easy checking out. Parking lot well lit up at night and hotel grounds clean.

Was traveling from Alabama to Texas. Hotel was extremely clean. Room very clean. Great service. Highly recommend and would stay here again. The only issue were the vending machine in 2nd floor was out of order and the pool hours.

This Best Western motel was the most comfortable and clean hotel that we stayed in during this trip. The beds were exceptionally comfortable and the bedding was very comfortable. We went out of our way to stay in it on our return trip as well even though we could have driven a few hundred miles more that day.

Our room had new carpet installed and the smell from the glue was very strong. The window sheers were also torn. Our room was not ready for guests to inhabit. I informed the front desk, but nothing was done to address the issues.

I enjoyed my stay, bed was extremely comfortable, it was very quiet on my floor and the staff was AWESOME.....Kuddos to Miss Amy, Miss Valarie, Mr. Bernard, Miss Patricia and Miss Keller...you guys really know how to treat customers. The only thing that wasn't pleasant was the view of the pool from my room; in which, I just kept my blinds closed. Otherwise, everything else as lovely.

The first room we were given had an overwhelming odor of perfume and mold. When we looked at the ceiling it was cracked and had significant water damage. The second room was better but still smelled. There were large dark stains by the door which were obviously urine stains from a pet. The coffee maker didn't work and the handle on the shower fell off. The light fixtures were rusted and had broken bulbs. Overall, I'm shocked anyone would rent this room to someone, especially at the price.

I was here before. Seems the property is in better condition. Room was clean and comfortable, but could use some upkeep. No one ever at front desk. I had to wait / chase them down, a few times gave up. A real pain. Breakfast, kinda bad. Out of a lot of items, never an attempt to replace. For 1 overnight, it's okay.

I have stayed at this BW hotel maybe 4 - 5 times. For a lone travelers it met and exceeded my needs. Although an older property, it met all of my needs. And, the price was right! Lots of way to "Thick" pillows on the King Size bed. Have some flatter and softer pillows.

Staff were awesome and the appearance of the building had improved. The rooms were clean and remodeled. They provide a sack breakfast to those who cannot make the hot breakfast. The bed was very comfortable.

We stayed one night at the Lafayette Inn. The room was very nice and the management was courteous. There was easy access to the hotel and we found a wonderful restaurant close by. The free breakfast at the hotel was very good.

Front desk staff was not attentive and made to seem like we were interrupting their day. Walls are paper thin. Sketchy hotel (Super 7) right next door. Beds and pillows are extremely uncomfortable. The property is clean and exterior looks nice, but service and quality was subpar. The weekend rates were pricey, too, for wha you received. Have stayed in plenty of Best Westerns, ad this one does not live up to their standard. Will not be staying here again. Good location to interstate and other areas of Lafayette. Just not a good feel, overall, of the place....starting with the front desk reception at checkin.

Overall it was good but i would not recommend the bottom floor. You hear every footstep, every door close...if you are a lite sleeper, forget about it. Checking in/out was breeze, breakfast was okay Had some trash in the room, looked like the cleaner did not move the chair because they had "big" trash under it but other than that, the room was good

Very nice , covenient stay while traveling Easter Sunday. Close to many restaurants. Staff very helpful to us , having traveled several hours on Easter Sunday, they helped find a restaurant that was open for us.

Noisiest place I've ever stayed, and I've stayed in youth hostels that had 8 free spirited young adults to a room. Upon check-in, I requested of the clerk to put me where she needed to , but to please choose someplace quiet because I'd had a long day of work, a long drive, and more work ahead. She literally shrugged. The room she gave me was near the entryway and on the first floor so I knew it would be noisy and I requested a change. She refused. That evening was fine. But at 2 am, I was awakened by a lengthy conversation by the people next door. They weren't yelling, but the walls are paper. At 5 am, the people upstairs began thundering non-stop and it continued as a screaming child ran back and forth in the next room, screaming without abate. Shortly after that, the door slamming on the hall began, which shook my own door each time. It's morning, and I'm exhausted. Never again am I booking Best Western. If a clerk can't honor my simple request for a second floor room away from entryways, I'll go elsewhere. Other things to consider: It's on a series of roads that could be difficult to navigate. While it's not far from downtown, it's in another world. WiFi was spotty, though it mostly worked. There's free breakfast offered, but I was too tired to go.

Great place. Only negative is difficulty of access from the Main Street. It is very clean and the price is reasonable. It is not close to a wide choice of eating selections. We brought in food and ate in the room.

We stopped for the night. Clean and friendly staff. Good breakfast. One suggestion would be to request a 2nd floor room, as the first floor is a little noisy. Very competitive with the neighbors so that makes it a good choice.

Very nice hotel, lots of business travelers, great breakfast, . All very clean, well appointed, We had a street light directly outside our 2nd room and the black out curtain rod would not allow use of the curtain. When we reported it in the am, they were nice and all, first saying we should have used the curtain, and when I explained you couldn't she said, oh I asked maintenance to fix that once already, I'll call him again.

This property is older and appears run down. The "old" rooms, according to the desk clerk, do not hold the electronic key code so I had to have my key reset every day of my stay. They put a family with apparently lots of children above me and they made a racket running back and forth and stomping on the floor. The hotel site is out of date - they do not have a cocktail lounge and one of the restaurants recommended is permanently closed. According to the Style and Amenities ratings structure, it is good for families with children but not for adult, individual business travelers. I was here on business and will not ever stay here again. I chose this property based on past experience with the brand, but never again.

It is a good location off route I-10 on our way to TX. The staff was courteous and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable. It had all the amenities we were looking for including a fridge and microwave, closet, granite bathroom. I loved the shower! There was also a business room and guest laundry. A great breakfast which included eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy plus much more. It is typical of a Holiday Inn Express or similar hotel. My biggest objection was that our fridge did not have a freezer section to freeze our ice packs. Maybe they would have froze them for us if we asked. Also pet friendly. Exceptional value.

Very professional staff and a very nice place to spend the night. Easy access to highway 10 and highway 49. Easy to find and very quiet at night. A very good value with a nice breakfast in the morning.

Stayed with family at this Best Western for one night on way to Texas. This is a fairly standard Best Western. Our room was spacious and staff was friendly. I had a reward card, so checkout took a little longer, but still fairly quick. Breakfast was somewhat lacking (compared to other Best Western and similar hotels). Room was generally clean, but we did notice some mold on the ceiling.

I was here for a band trip with my daughter. Internet was unusable as you get farther from the lobby. Desk agents seemed to like to sit in the lobby and lounge instead of staying behind the desk. Staff was friendly and room was clean. Just need more routers for internet.

This is a new clean hotel conveniently located right where I-49 ends in Lafayette at the intersection with I-10. The rooms are in great condition with modern finishes like granite countertops and flat screen TVs. We also loved the new Serta mattresses and slept very well. The girl at the front desk was very nice although possibly overworked. Breakfast was average but typical of a hotel in this genre. If you are driving cross-country on I-10 I highly recommend stopping here for the night and getting some great Louisiana cuisine at Prajean's only 3 minutes from the hotel. It is hands down the best food I have ever had in Louisiana and worth the stop for that alone. Go for dinner, stay at the BW and be on your way the next morning. That is what we did. Live long, eat well and ride lots!

You'll make a crazy U-turn from the Interstate to end up right in front of this Best Western hotel. The hotel itself was very pleasant: the room was just big enough, clearly clean, had a microwave and comfortable beds. We slept really well. I wanted to get some coffee from the breakfast room at night and a fresh pot was made right away. Breakfast was okay, with luke warm scrambled eggs and bacon. They also had some yoghurt and diy waffles you see at most hotels these days. We enjoyed our stay and would certainly recommend it.

We will keep this BW on our preferred hotels, when we are traveling I-12 through LA. It was very updated/clean and well decorated with a courteous and professional staff to get you checked in & out. We had been traveling for 2 days from SE AL to Houston, TX. The night before was unpleasant as we had stayed at a BW under renovation in Gulfport, MS. We were happy to get back to the high standards of BW with this hotel. We will stay again and would refer anyone to stay here. Thank you all for helping us get settled in for a welcomed nights rest.

Breakfast was lacking, but overall it was clean, accommodating, and staff was very helpful. I was there for Disaster Work so could not explore the amenities as I could have. Would stay here again if in the area.

After a long day, we hastily chose this hotel. After getting in our room, it was clear that the bed had not been changed, just made, and there was also some food getting stinky in the refrigerator. The very wonderful desk worker, Iris, was very helpful in immediately giving us a different room. We were too exhausted to complain further, but the room smelled of cigarette smoke, even though it was a non-smoking room, there was a burn hole in the duvet.. a top sheet was missing , carpet and upholstery stained, and obvious signs of lack of vacuuming. Avoid staying here, the management should be embarrassed. Iris (at the front desk) was the best asset this hotel has. We did not bother with the breakfast, just wanted to get out of there!

We spent one night at the Lafayette Best Western. The busy hotel is close to the 10 with enough parking. Check in was crowded and hectic with one person working the desk. On the way down to our room I noticed the Hallway needed vacuuming. Our room smelled funky upon entering. There were liquid stains on the walls and the chair in the room was very dirty and had several burn holes on it. The carpet looked very dark so not sure how clean it was. The refrigerator in the room worked fine. Internet was a bit slow. The air conditioning worked well and there were extra outlets on a bedside lamp.Bathroom appeared clean and well stocked. The desk chair was broken and wouldn't raise..Overall the furniture was worn out looking. The pool faces a busy street with walk by traffic so I didn't feel comfortable swimming there. Breakfast: the breakfast eating area is small with 4 small tables right in the lobby. Breakfast had the basics with no biscuits or fruit at 8:00am. No napkins or salt. No one was restocking food or keeping area wiped off. We won't be coming back to this hotel. LSJ

Stayed for 3 nights. Everything was very clean, service was good. Only complaint was breakfast. First morning they ran out of eggs. The attendant said it would take 20 mins to put more out. The last morning they started taking away breakfast at 9 even though I was told it goes until 10. Coffee though was very good. Overall very enjoyable stay and I'll stay here again if I'm in the area.

I usually dont even consider Best Western and stay at Comfort Suites, Marriott, or Country Inn. I will always check Best Western in the future as it was comparable, if not nicer than some of the other motels listed for a better price

I must say I had never stayed at a Best Western and was a little skeptical, but because of the flooding in the area I was not able to book at reservation closer to where I was working. But to my surprise the service was absolutely wonderful. Daily Jones the host that checked me in was absolutely fabulous. She was the only one on duty and was multi-tasking like a pro. In spite of customers coming at her asking questions and needing assistance, she handled everyone with a smile and such a wonderful attitude. And said she actually loved being busy. Well after I got checked in and got to my room there was problem with my TV, she came to my room to attempt to fix it. When she was unable to do so she was so apologetic, offered to get a tech to come in, but I was so tired I told her that the next day would be fine. She offered to move me to another room and stay on top of everything until everything was right. This young lady would be a great access to any company, Thank you Daily.

The room was very nicely decorated and was extremely clean. Everyone in the hotel staff was very nice, and the breakfast attendant was extremely hospitable. I recommend this BW to everyone whenever they are traveling close to Lafayette!

The room did not have the air on and it was 85 degrees so it took a little while to get the temperature down. Also the hall way smelled of cigarette smoke and room smelled a little musty. The breakfast area only had three tables to sit which made us have to wait to get a table.

This was one of the nicer Best Westerns I have ever stayed, our stay was extremely comfortable and the desk clerk (Daily) went out of her way to make us feel that way. If ever we go through Lafayette again we will stay here, Everything was very nice and professional.

This hotel is very convenient if you are in town for business. It's not to far from the freeway which makes it easy to commute in & out. The staff is very friendly & helpful. Also you are not far from the restaurants in the area. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are traveling in town for work.

The front desk staff here was 5star. We walked in with our kids and they were extremely welcoming and friendly. I've stayed at many luxury hotels and haven't been treated with such great customer service like we received at Best Western. Kudos to management for training such amazing staff. In fact, the customer service is why I'm giving a 4star review instead of a 3star. When we checked in, we were told it had only been a matter of weeks that the hotel had become smoke free. So technically they're able to sell their rooms as smoke free rooms, but there was still a very strong cigarette smell in our room. The hotel staff was very accommodating and found us a less smokey room. As a non-smoking family that's allergic to smoke, it was still pretty smokey for us. My kids enjoyed the free breakfast each morning.

My parents and I stayed here for a night of a summer road trip and my mom found their staff to be some of the friendliest she's ever talked to. The room was very nice and clean. Not the newet, but like I said- clean and we'll taken care of. They had a complementary breakfast and I would probably only rate that a 3/5 but other than that it was great and if breakfast is the "worst complaint" then buy some granola bars. Haha

One of the best locations I've been to. Plenty of stores & eating places close by. Hopefully you will get checked in by Daily. She is one of the nicest you will ever meet & very informative. Very nice Hotel staff during our 3 day stay.

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The staff was caring and pleasant. We would stay again if in the area. The breakfast was hot and plentiful. Our initial request at booking was satisfied for a first floor room due to handicap. Parking was plentiful.

The title says it all. Each staff member was terrific - very nice people. It was convenient and cost was not exorbitant. Breakfast was typical and it was nice to have that convenience. The room was comfortable, good water pressure, etc. If you need to do work at a desk, however, be aware that the chair does not match the desk. The desk height is way too high and the chair, even at its highest, left me with the desk at (wait for it) chin height. And I'm not that short! I asked about getting a new chair and the sweet manager (she really is terrific) apologized and explained that it was that way in all of the rooms. I ended up having to sit on 4 pillows and that got me there (too bad there aren't phone books anymore). In all, it was a perfectly fine place to stay while working in Lafayette.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was very clean and a nice size even with 2 queen beds. The bathroom was very nice and very clean. I will be staying at Best Western more often! They even have a laundry room we used that was as clean as our hotel room!

We have stayed in four other Best Westerns in the last six weeks and have loved every one of them. Then we stopped here in Lafayette. We walked in and the lobby had a stale smell, but it was a no cancellation reservation so we stayed. Our room smelled like it had previously been a smoking room. It was clean enough, but old. There was no wireless internet in our room. The guy at the desk acted like we just didn't know how to connect to it. When I walked to the lobby, I was able to pick it up, but this morning during breakfast we had no connection even there. We never had it working in our room, so ended up having to pay for extra data from our provider. Then there is breakfast. The biscuits were cold in the bread cabinet and no place to heat them. By 7:25 there were no scrambled eggs and still none by the time we finished eating. The only employee we saw was the desk clerk. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and we certainly won't go back.

Excellent value, staff was helpful, courteous and very friendly. Clerk gave us two coupons for Prejeans for two appetizers that cost normally 6.50 and they were free. Checked us into a hot tub room and we didn't ask she just did. Rates were the best of any for our whole trip through Vicksburg, Miss and on to New Orleans and back.

My wife and I spent 1 Saturday night here. All rooms open to an interior hallway, so every door slamming and loud people woke us up several times during the night. A good night's sleep is my #1 hotel request, so not a good report. Otherwise a descent room and clean. Convenient location, adequate breakfast.

Don't be put off by the adjacent motel with rooms for $39.00. This Best Western is very nice with upscale clean rooms. My wife and I were upgraded to a spa room due to our Diamond rewards status. The room had all the usual amenities but is rather small with the full size spa tub in a corner of the room. There is an elevator available if needed. The bath has a granite counter top and tub surround. The refrigerator did not have a freezer, which we needed. The flat screen TV has HD reception. The breakfast has the same continental food items as other motels. Overall a very nice stay.

Nice hotel and the emloyees were all very helpful. When we asked for suggestions, where restaurants, etc. were, we were giving good information. Room was clean, extra towels when needed were supplied quickly. Would recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel. Very convenient to Interstates ten and forty-nine. Good stop before or after New Orleans. Clean and comfortable with caring attentive staff. This is the second or third stay for us at this inn. We will stay here again!

The staff at this location went over and above expectations especially helpful being we were on motorcycles. Although the roads around the hotel are in repair status, once on the property we were fine. safe parking and location to Boubon street and eateries. Check out Verti Market for take out( close by Hotel ) . well worth the trip and money.

This hotel was great. Rooms were tastefully decorated and exceptionally clean. Beds with comforters were perfect. Full breakfast with a great selection. Easy to access nearby restaurants on yelp. Excellent value as hotel is in mid price range.

We love Best Western hotels and we stay at this particular location whenever we're in town because it's pet friendly. It's not the best part of town but we've never felt unsafe here at all. Our room is always clean each time we've stayed here. We've never has the breakfast here but it's always packed so someone is enjoying it.

breakfast was not good, juice machine didn't work, coffee was cold, gravy was cooked dry. Was a descent place for the price but the room had an odor. Water for shower was good and hot and pressure was good.

We were in Lafayette for four nights and our stay here was very adequate. The room was clean and the staff was very nice and helpful. The breakfast is good enough, but they really need a few more tables during the peak usage. The hotel was centrally located for our needs. We would stay there agains

I would not trust making a reservation at this hotel. When I originally called I was placed on hold for approximately 10 minutes. I was told that all they had available was a king smoking suite and a queen with 2 bed smoking suite. Upon arrival at the hotel after my husband had signed paperwork the gentleman at the front desk informed me that we had 2 king smoking rooms, which would not accommodate all of the people in our party. Furthermore he told us that because we had already signed paperwork they would still charge our card even if we had to find another hotel. There was no manager in duty and they didn't even have a cot we could put in one of the rooms to make the stay more comfortable. This place is a rip off and they do nothing to try to make things right with the customer. It is basically sorry you didn't get what you were told you were paying for its your fault for booking with us! No such thing as customer satisfaction here!

We checked in on 03/27/16 our receptionist was Charlye and she was very friendly and nice. That evening we were getting ready for bed and my husband and I pulled the sheets back and found a piece of toilet paper and a penny in the bed and I told Charlye and she gave us all new bedding and apologized and said she would let housekeeping know. For our trouble Charlye took off the pet fee, which was $20.00 for a Chi-weenie. The next morning we were getting ready to check out and I have a habit of checking all drawers to make sure I have all my belongings and as I was checking the drawer I found a glass pipe and a pack of Swisher sweets in a non-smoking room and went to the front desk and told Valerie and she said she would look into it. We decided to stay another night since she was taking the pet fee off and was suppose to let housekeeping know that their was smoking items in a non-smoking room. Needless to say the glass pipe and Swisher Sweets was still in the drawer and I went to front desk again to ask for a manager and was told by the gentleman at the desk that they would not be in until the next morning, when there is a sign saying MANAGER on duty 24 hours. Just make sure that you check everything in room before you unpack and get ready for bed. The room was NON-SMOKING and smelled great, no smelly or stale odor. Breakfast on 03/28/16 was great, the only thing was that they ran out of biscuits and their was only about 6 people in the dining room. It was about 6:30 AM when they ran out of biscuits. We asked if they had any more biscuits and the gentleman said NO.

Very comfortable, very clean and well appointed room. We were only there for a short visit (checked in late and checked out early) so just used the room for sleep before getting back on the road. Front desk staff was very friendly and saved the room we requested.

A little tricky to access! The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was more than adequate. the check in and check out was handled very efficiently. overall a good stay for just a sleepover on our way to New Orleans!

I stayed here with friends and we were very disappointed. The front desk person was nice enough but a little slow in getting our room keys. The room had a faint smell of smoke even though one of us was very sensitive to it. We were too tired to change the room at that point so just went to sleep and suffered through it. The room was average in cleanliness with some of the towels in the bathroom a little off-white. And the breakfast was decent, but unfortunately could not make up for the rest of the stay. Save your money and stay elsewhere if you can.

Had a room on the top floor--clean and quiet. Bed was comfortable, and the breakfast was better than most (included scrambled eggs and sausage, hard boiled eggs, bagels and english muffins). Check in gentleman (Chris) was pleasant. Morning personnel did not attend to breakfast selections (coffee, scrambled eggs and sausage ran out) even though it did not seem busy when we came to breakfast.

Although the room seemed a little rough around the edges, overall, it was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was particularly beat up, with signs of water damage, and a vanity that looked like someone had been banging the edges with a hammer on. Very good wireless internet, which was appreciated. Just what you expect (and hope for) from a necessary night on the road.

Easy to find and a great value. The breakfast is much improved and has great choices. The open pet policy is a bit odd and may be the source of the odor issue: both the pet and cleaning products used to fix the pet odor: two sides of the same coin: odors.....

Very good accommodations,friendly and knowledgeable personnel. Even the groundskeepers were friendly and greeted us with a hearty sounding good morning.A very pleasant experience much better than my experience with a competitor of Best Western on a previous trip to Lafayette. Will definitely stay there on future business trips.

My stay at the Best Western in Lafayette was very pleasant and the price was right for a 3 day business trip. The staff were efficient and very friendly. This was a return visit to the hotel. I was very satisfied.

I have stayed here several times in the past. They are now starting to remodel. It should be even nicer then. The people are always friendly. When in the area I recommend this place. Its not the nicest but it is very comfortable.

This Best Wetern is located on the south side close to IH-10 and is easy access with decent parking. Rooms were clean, neat and orderly. A number of restaurants were nearby, did use pool or any of the amenities, as we were travelling. Good value for the price. Breakfast: eggs, biscuits, gravy, sausage. I personally enjoyed, which added to being a good value for the cost.

My husband and I had a long day of travelling and wanted to stop somewhere to stay for the night. Not only was the hotel reasonable, the front desk service was outstanding! The front desk clerk, I believe his name was Chris, was so helpful in getting us there when our GPS was off. The hotel room was nice and the bed was comfy. We didn't eat the breakfast, since we were in a hurry, but everyone else seemed to enjoy it. It was a nice night stay!

I was looking for a room with a free breakfast for less than $100 and this room was just fine, no more, no less. The beds were comfortable, the ac was good. My only complaint was a somewhat strong, chemical odor. Another reviewer said the same thing and it was true. The breakfast was lackluster but filling.

My wife and I always dread the crossing of the bridges both at Baton Rouge and Lafayette. The traffic is always bad or the wreaks are jamming the lanes. So this hotel was a find as we had just gotten pass them and it was late in the evening. Clean rooms, friendly staff, and very reasonable rates. Breakfast in the morning was above average.

This was a one night stay on our travels. Be aware this hotel allows smoking on the 2nd floor. We did not have any issues with the smoke on the first floor. Great staff. Very friendly and courteous. The bedroom was clean and bed was comfortable. The bathroom had mold in the shower and dust behind the doors. There could be more attention paid to the cleaning. Good breakfast.

Lafayette Inn was a great experience,,,unlike the night before in Texas,,,My wife and I moved from Northern CA to Brooksville Florida we only stayed at Best Western,,,7 nights in a row,,most were wonderful,,,One was wonderful but had horrible coffee,,another was hard to find,,poor directions,,most were okay,,and easy to find,,even in the dark,,,but they need to be more aware that some people have never been there,,,Give better directions,,,

We have been traveling for the past 3 1/2 months and have stayed at a variety of accomodations, including a number of hotels around the country and in Canada so we have plenty to compare places with. This time things came up well short. It started with the 2 women behind the front desk who lacked, big time, any enthusiasm for the hotel or guests checking in. Then, in heading to our room we couldn't help but notice the general dark/somewhat depressing atmosphere of this Best Western Inn. That became even more obvious when we got to the second floor where in order to get to our "non-smoking" room we had to walk down a hallway reeking of cigarette smoke....the smell permeated everything. Thankfully, it somehow didn"t get into our room...but it was overwhelming once in the hall. The breakfast in the morning was standard...passable, at best.

I recommend this hotel if you have pets. The staff is friendly and handled any problems very fast. The breakfast is very good. We stay here all the time. It is a very good hotel and we will continue to stay here in the future.

The room was comfortable and clean. The desk clerk, Valerie, was very helpful with places in town and checking into the hotel. Price was reasonable. The only down side is that the breakfast staff had a hard time keeping up with the food being eaten and the water dispenser was empty in the exercise room. Still a good stay.

hotel well located. Beach accross the road. Pleasant person at reception. Quality of room satisfactory. Nice tiling in bath-room. Comprehensive equipment and good wi-fi. Honest breakfast. Cannot get used to using so much plastic and cardboard. No recycling as in most motels. Best Western should thing about it and have a general policy about energy saving and waste disposal.

Reception staff friendly and helpful. King size bed in a small room. Bed comfortable. The bathroom was clean and quite big. Their was dust gathered on the edges of the main room. Breakfast was included and was adequate. Very few eating places nearby.

I would recommend this hotel if you're staying here when there is not a local college football game going on. I had an overall positive experience other than some loud patrons in a room across the hall from me, but management made sure to make things right. Beds are comfy and the rooms are clean.

Stayed here 1 night on our way to Texas and wanted to get out of busy New Orleans. Very nice and updated. Slept well, with both bed and pillows comfortable. Very easy access from I-10. Courteous staff.

I attended a convention that included events in downtown Lafayette. This hotel has easy access to downtown and to the interstate. The room and lobby were clean, the staff was friendly, and I felt safe on the property. The only drawback was the breakfast. It was free, but not very appealing at all.

The hotel is close to the freeway, so easy access. The decor is nice and the bedding was fine. My dissatisfaction is that the carpet in the room was quite dirty and my room was neglected or forgotten to be cleaned one day. Overall, the location was good to get to just about anywhere in the city within minutes.

The staff were friendly and helpful, printed out directions to local restaurents. Facilitiy was modernised, very clean, bed was comfortable, they offer a good selection of breakfast food, including hot foods. They are located close tothe Interstat, The price was good.

Employees were friendly, room was clean and comfortable, our room had only a small space between the beds and desk/dressers. only one person could pass. That was the only thing wrong with room. We would stay there again and recommend it to our friends.

We have enjoyed our stay and loved the service as Breakfast. The room and bed was very nice and having a couch meant a lot to my wife. We found nothing wrong with the room and the service overall was GREAT.

I have stayed here multiple times and always leave satisfied. It's in a convenient location and is always clean with very friendly staff. My room was great and everything is up to date. I have not had any issues here at this location and will stay here again when my business brings me to the area.
