Best Western Efekt Express Krakow Hotel is a comfortable 4-star hotel with friendly atmosphere, helpful staff and convenient location (5 km from the Old Town of Krakow and easy access to the airport). All the rooms are en suite, air conditioned and come with satellite TV, free Wi-Fi and tea/coffee making facilities. The Amber Restaurant serves polish and international cuisine, while at the lobby bar you can enjoy a wide range of drinks in a relaxed atmosphere. Best Western Efekt Express Krakow Hotel also has 6 meeting rooms, as well as a business centre which allows you to take care of any urgent matters.
Hotel is located rather far from the center, but the advantage is quiet rooms. Delicious breakfast, maybe not a large variety of dishes, but I stayed for a one night only, so it was more then enough for me. There was one misunderstanding with the rooms (I was travelling with a tourist group and we were given the wrong room, which caused a confusion with other members of our group). But the receptionist tried to solve this out quickly and gave the other room to guys.
The hotel has very small beds and very small blankets and the hotel is outside the city and the breakfast is also pathetic. The breakfast also didnt had much variety. We stayed for 2 nights and regretted.
This is not the best hotel in town but rooms are clean & quiet and beds comfortable. However the food served in the restaurant is far below expectations and service unfriendly. I mean if you decide to run or work in a restaurant you should have minimum willingness to offer your client a good time. I had the coldest service (I got a real feeling of disturbing staff), food was really bad so I sent back the badly cooked chicken - yes it's possible - and order a club sandwich. After 15 min I got the hardest possible bread surrounded by a tasteless salad (too cold - probably directly from the fridge). A real disappointment. Better try one of the many Italians in town. They cook very well - see my reviews.
This Hotel is very clean. Very polite helpful staff. Rooms are very clean with plenty of room. Breakfast is the best Hotel breakfast I've ever had, massive choice. My husband will definitely staying here again. Approx £3 in a Uber taxi to the centre of Kraków.
The hotel is not central to Krakow, so requires a short drive to the city centre - but this isn't really an issue if you do not mind a short journey and you want to save a lot of money, by not being in the city centre. The hotel itself is very clean and well kept, I did not see any litter anywhere on the premises. Overall, the staff were incredibly helpful and nothing was too much bother for them. Even though we had forgotten to pack some essential items, the hotel were happy to provide with these free of charge. The breakfast here was absolutely superb, including a range of hot cooked breakfasts, fresh fruit (including tropical fruits, such as pineapple and mango), cereals and many varieties of breads and croissants. If we return to Krakow, we will likely stay here again.
This hotel was very well situated for my needs - on the Ring road of Krakow, 10 minutes to airport, close to several office buildings. The room was clean and tidy, so was the bathroom. Breakfast - nothing special, full with bus groups from the Far East. In the morning (starting from 04:30-05:00) one can here the cars on the nearby ring road, and there is usually ig traffic jam in the morning in direction to Krakow. Would go there again if I have to visit Krakow (the business district, not the old town) again.
Thr hotel is not located in the city center but there is a bus (130 ) which goes from the hotel to the central railway station. The hotel is nice and clean, the staff is very helpfull. Breakfast is good, various type of food, fruits, etc.
I was here for a training course but really very nice. Room was spotless and they left a good number of towels. The squeaky bathroom door was fixed in good time. Safe, tea/coffee and TV in room. Nice sized room with chairs, table and a desk. Wi-fi good and clear and free!! Reception staff were very good with keeping cases and information giving. They even let me charge my phone on the last day so I could use it once I got back to the UK. A little way out of Krakow central (1 hour on bus) but very quiet given that it's near a busy road. Shopping centre about 10-15 minutes away with a rather large and nice supermarket. Food was plentiful with a good variety and very nice Pirogi. Just to note that the heating system is on the main Krakow municipal system so the hotel have no control over it. Take lots of jumpers and enjoy an amazing city with lovely people that are very tolerant of visitor's poor attempts at Polish!
Stayed here for 3 nights whilst visiting Krakow. The hotel itself is nice enough. Rooms are a good size, clean, good wifi, quiet setting, comfortable bed and a nice bar/restaurant. The staff were friendly and there is an indoor swimming pool for guests to use. However, the hotel is not in a particularly great location. You would not be able to walk into the city centre as it is about a 25 minute bus journey away. However, there were regular buses into the main city for a reasonable price.
we were with a big group in a tour , small bathroom. no place to put stuff. terrible small room electricity didnot work , very basic I would not come again. simple food there is not a good wi-fi far away from town
This hotel has a lovely ambiance and is a nice place to stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and reasonably sized. The WiFi was good; the front counter staff was very accommodating and exceptionally helpful; the breakfast buffet was ample - the hotel seemed to be used to serving large groups. There is a swimming pool facility in a proximate hotel that can be used if you have the time. The hotel is located at a distance from the station and the city center and is a tad difficult to find with your google maps. Taxis cost me 30 Zlotys. An alternative is the train from Krakow Lobzow station from where it is a pleasant 15 minutes walk through typical Polish housing colonies. This proximity to Lobzow station made great sense to me as I wanted to visit Auschwitz by train the next morning. All trains to Oswiecim have to go through Lobzow on the way to Auschwitz - Birkenau. I would recommend this hotel as a lovely place to stay - visit Wawel castle and the rest of the city center and get back to the hotel via Lobzow - also you are right on the route to the Auschwitz Museum !
This hotel is good but there was nothing extraordinary about it. The food was good, the wifi was good, the mattress was small and okay, the patio was pretty nice and the staff were generally friendly considering they couldn't speak much English. If I had to stay somewhere, I would stay at the other best western which literally is next to this hotel. Overall, a good but not great hotel.
Stayed here for 2 nights. The room is spacious but the bed is rather small. A king size would be much better. Wifi reception is fair inside the room, it's pretty fast. Choice of breakfast is acceptable, but unfortunately it did not suit my taste. It provides mostly Western cuisine.
Picked this hotel as we like a pool. It is outside of town but we do like a walk into town so it was perfect. We had bed and breakfast which is very well catered for. There is a bar, restaurant and we used the pool most days. There is also a gym available. The prices in the bar and restaurant are very good for a hotel. The staff are helpful, we found the bar tender great fun. Just bare in mind the Poles are straight talking so be mindful of this.
Hotel at the outside of Krakow. We had our own car so no problem at all. 15 minutes to the historic center of Krakow. Simple and clean rooms. You are able to use the pool at the other hotel....not that great....no dressing rooms, odd.. Breakfast was not that good, but the staff of the hotel was very kind and helpfull. That made it all a very pleasant stay!
I spent 2 nights at this hotel. It says it is a 3 stars hotel, yet, I expected more from a 3 stars that is of best western network. It is a quiet conference center. The room size is medium. Rooms might be cleaner. The decoration is very minimal. It might not be the best place to stay if you want to tour the city by foot or if you are looking for a live neighborhood because it is a bit far from the city center.
Hotel situated outside of city center. Some Taxi drivers claim they dont know where it is when you try to come back from the city center. Rooms simple but clean . There is a pool and sauna which are opened only certain times so its not so convenient. Lots of youth bus groups who are very loud and block the lifts . Cheap but you will make it up with other additional cost .
the card keys to the room kept malfunctioning, in the entrance to the room a pair of sucks were found, some reported brown water coming out of the shower, a glove and a sock were found surprisingly when we came back to the hotel. very not recommended unless you have absolutely no other choice of staying.
If you looking for nice place to stay or have a great party, family dinner or conference definitaly go for it. Worth to be there spend your time and money. Located not far from airport and center also. Good food and professional service from staff and fnb Manager Mr Badura. Thank you.
Nice and pretty clean room. Very simple and basic. I don't think it's a 4 star hotel. In the shower there is a note that you may ask for complimentary things that usually you can find in each room in other hotels. Very but I mean Very small Gym. Small room with 4 equipments. Not worth visit there. Breakfast was ok very basic. The location is not in the center. You can take a taxi to the old town for 20 minutes ride
Nothing special I can say with the exception that rooms were clean. We already knew when we left from other trip advisor reviews that air conditioning doesn't work and that when someone in another room closed a door your room wall would rattle. This in fact is totally accurate. Breakfast was just so so. But for the price we got it for all was tolerable. Towels were well worn and no face clothes as well.
Good value for what you got. The food was excellent the room spotless but apart from one or two of the reception staff most appeared not to want to be in the hospitality industry. The evening barman especially
Good hotel aprox. 5 km from centre of Krakow and near highway. Nothing fancy, very clean. Very good breakfest. There were some works in the hotel and probably because of that we had problem with aircondition in the room, therefore we were transferred twice until we got room where aircondition worked properly, but staff was very nice and friendly and helped us immediately upon our request to change rooms. There is one thing we didn't like: we booked triple room and in fact it was double room with small removable bed (even though on the on booking.com there was description of room with twin bed and sofa bed).
We stayed for two days on 8/9 May 2016.it's a neat and clean hotel.Good breakfast. Nicely located with good connectivity. Basic amenities in the room were provided.Free wifi in room was with good .Some refurbishing especially room carpet needed.Hotel staff courteous and smiling. Recommended for tourists planning short stay.
Travelling KLM and as a result of a cancelled flight I ended up staying here overnight. Location is not much to write home about as it is located between the airport and the city which is reachable by bus. Nothing immediately near the hotel. Appears to be popular with coach parties and I saw a number of school parties who were visiting the city. Food provided was OK and clearly they are used to catering for large groups. Did not get the chance to sample breakfast as had to leave at 0500. The previous day they mentioned they would provide a lunch box but this failed to appear. Room was OK but basic but clean and single bed was comfortable. If you are looking for value then this hotel is OK. Small bar area with only stools to sit on so not for relaxing.
Highschools in Israel are sending their pupils for an one week trip to Poland, exploring sites of holocaust and wiped out jewish life. I accompanied my daughter's school as pediatrician. We spent our first 3 nights in beautiful Krakow, unfortunately in the Efekt Express Hotel. Being the "doc" I got one of the nicer single rooms, quite small, but OK. Keeping all the medical equipment with me , I didn't have much space to move, but as I said - that's OK. The laundry was clean, but neither changed nor refilled for 3 days. The shower didn't work properly and I couldn't close the cabin door, so the bathroom floor was wet most of the time. As we slept only a few hours during the first night, I was quite tired and in the crammed room spilled some coffee on the table and carpet. I didn't want to cause any damage, so I wiped everything immediately with one of the towels. (No problem washing a towel, right?) Returning quite upset from Ausschwitz in the evening, I couldn't enter my room and at the reception a young lady, who could be my granddaughter, reprimanded me sternly, for soiling a towel!!! Hearing my explanation, she smirked(!) and insinuated, that I"m a lyer and soiled the towel wiping something else.. (No 2??) I don"t mind the fine of about 30 $, but I was deeply shamed and insulted and demanded an apology by the management. Which I never received. Of course. And - as "punishment" - I never received another towel... By the way, they made quite a business of fining the school for every tiny damage, the kids caused. So, if you're travelling with family - DON'T GO THERE.

Dear Madam, Thank you very much for your comment. We are really sorry that you did encounter inconvenience in our hotel but the opinion we are inhospitable is highly unjust. We do accommodate a huge amount of different types of groups during the year and we simply need to protect the interests of our hotel by establishing a fee for the furniture and equipment damaged. We can ensure you that when such a situation occurs we inform our Guests about the need of regulating a fee in a kind way. Our receptionist did inform you, indeed, that the towels which you had swiped the stain with are highly difficult to clean and probably it will be already useless. As I did mention above, we must take care of our equipment and I do believe it is a policy of every hotel that accommodates a big number of groups. I hope that except this unpleasant situation your stay in our hotel was good and that you will visit us again in the future.
In December 2015 I was on a four-day tourist trip which included the Czech Republic, Poland and Hungary. We started from Croatia over Slovenia and Austria and arrived in the Czech Republic to the second largest city of Brno, where we spent one day. Beautiful nativity scene were set at the charming main square in the center of the city. We also visited Špilberk Castle, Chatedral of St.Peter and Paul and church of St.James. A break for lunch we made in Pegas pub. Despite unkindness waiter this place is to recommend because of delicious food, excellent beer and reasonable prices. The next two days we spent in the beautiful Polish city of Krakow including the trip to Auschwitz and visit the most famous and very interesting salt mine Wielicka and Wadowice birthplace of Pope John Paul II. The 4 star hotel named Efekt Express where we stayed was just fine except it was located little bit outside the city and care must be taken for the last city bus or a taxi which prices vary greatly. We had dinner at the well known pub called Florianski in the city center, but we liked more the restaurant called Pod Zlota Pipa. It is located in the same Florianska street, great food and atmosphere and very friendly staff. In a word – value for money, so I recommend going to this restaurant. From Polish over Slovakia we have come to Hungary and spent a day in Budapest. This city impressed me so much that I decided to dedicate one trip only to it and explore it in more detail.
Good and clean rooms, Very good breakfast. Nice and attention recepcion staff. bus stop to the center just across the street. The price (via internet booking) was very very good (50eur/night/double room, with breakfast)
Between 16 - 18 October 2015 I had the chance to visit Krakow, a very beautiful city. I stayed at Efekt Express Hotel. The room was very clean and comfortable. It's a great hotel with very kind staff. The food was delicious. Krakow is the city of the polish kings. The city center is very beautiful, you can visit Saint Mary Church and the market or you can enjoy a coffee or a great meal while you sit at one of the many restaurants and coffee shops that surround the city center. Also you can visit the Jewish Ghetto and the beautiful Wawel Castle, the place were many polish kings and personalities lay to rest. Not far away from Krakow you can visit the Auschwitz I, Auschwitz II - Birkenau concentration camps. I had visited these places. A very sad place, where many people died.
This is the place to stay if you are looking for a nice quiet hotel for a business stay and not for a leisure trip. Rooms are big and comfortable and very good equipped. Breakfast is rich and can keep you going through the day.
This hotel was an excellent place to stay. The rooms, were clean and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable to sleep in. The internet was very good no issues. The front counter staff was exceptionally helpful and accommodating. The breakfast buffet was very, very good. This is a good place to take bus tour from as you are the first people to be pickup and you get to see the city on your way to pick up others.
i have stayed with a very large tour group.the rooms are clean and comfortable . wifi is free and ok. the bathroom is clean and big. i was surprised of the kitchen capability to handle large groups at once. food was very good and breakfast is rich. nice place..
My husband and I stayed here for 6 nights from 16th-21st July 2015. We were part of a small tour group. There were other tour groups there during our stay but the hotel coped very well. Our double room was clean, had a comfortable double bed and a strong shower. Room was serviced everyday and kept clean. TV was old fashioned with not much choice of English channels. Good wifi connection in the room. Breakfast was great with a good variety, streaky bacon, baked beans, eggs, sausages, baked tomato, good salad, cereals and lots of different fruits and bread. Only grievance was with the air- conditioning which wasn't cold enough. A little away from town but ok if you have your own transport or are with a tour group. Overall a convenient and comfortable hotel which suited all our needs.
The public areas were really big and the courtyard was an advantage. The bathroom was nice and the beds were confortable. The breakfast proposed sweet and salty options and fresh fruits and vegetables. In short, nice and clean hotel with good breakfast.
We stayed with our tour group. A lot of tour groups were there. ATM machine in lobby was nice! Room was nice, High ceilings, nice bathroom, good breakfast. Bar. small gift shop, quiet even though we were on first floor. Some of our group stayed in the city center and it was about 25 minutes by taxi.
Stayed here on a Leger holidays tour. The hotel is clean and the rooms comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is not in the centre but is ideal if you are on a tour as we were. We enjoyed our 3 nights here
