I hate writing poor reviews, but we were not impressed by this Best Western. We were passing through and I picked this hotel because it got better reviews that the other hotels in the area. The overall feeling we walked away with is that the place needs a good cleaning. The outside of the ice bucket was greasy and dirty. There was an empty soda bottle under the bedside table. There was food in the freezer. The floor was sticky near the air conditioner. I kept wondering what else had not been cleaned. The toilet seat was loose and every time we sat down it made a lot of noise, disturbing anyone who was asleep. The air conditioner was very loud. The bed was so high that as a 5'5" woman I could barely pull myself up, especially with a recovering broken wrist. I have stayed at many Best Westerns and I do not expect a high end hotel, but I do expect more than this. This was not a place I enjoyed staying.
Have stayed at this hotel a number of times besides my most recent 1 night stay. My longest was 9 nights. The rooms are nice and very quiet. The bedding is comfortable and the internet works well. There is a Mexican restaurant nearby that gives a discount when showing your room key. A new, nicer restaurant right next door should open in the next few months. I will definitely consider staying at the hotel in the future.
The room was dirty. I spilled water on the floor and when i wiped it up with a white cloth the cloth came up black as did my socks. The faucet in the bathroom was physically loose and leaking. There were candy rappers, dog bones and other stuff behind the bed and nightstand
2 night stay was supposed to cost $247 and so far I've been charged $519 and still waiting for refunds. The staff were all grungy, the AC unit was awful, the WiFi was slow, the shower was dirty, the toilet wiggle when you sat on it. Just an awful experience and will never stay there again.
The staff at the front desk upon arrival was GREAT and the rooms seemed to be clean for the most part. The Shower tub was LOW water pressure and clogged drains. So standing in 2 inches of water was not a nice experience and was unable to sleep in due to slamming of the doors as housekeeping were cleaning before 8:00 AM
Hotel was pretty good and fast food places near. Bed comfortable, pillows hard, tv did not work (clerk tried to fix and offered a room switch which was declined). Breakfast okay ..many choices but the orange juice was the worst ever… nothing like OJ except the color. Called to staff attention and they will investigate. Few glitches but overall a decent stay for one night but it is the staff that will make us return. Awesome!
If you're looking for a hotel room that is ADA accessible, this IS NOT the room for you. The tub is very difficult to climb into and the bed is so tall that you almost need to take a running leap to get in it. Other than these complaints, the room was clean and comfortable.
My wife and I were on a trip for work, and I am not one for writing reviews, however, Best Western in Kimball was an excellent place to stay! Greeted by friendly staff and explained all amenities, even recommended Jefferson's Restaurant for dinner! I had to compliment the morning Manager after our first night's stay. The mattress was the most comfortable that we had slept on! Nice, cozy room for sure. If I ever have to travel to that area again, I'll for sure be a patron at Best Western! Thank you ever so kindly! Joseph & Rachel Spinney, Tampa, Florida
Quiet, comfortable, and clean. Staff were very friendly and the breakfast hot. Price was reasonable too. No complaints. BW currently has a spring promotion going on where they give you a free night after staying two nights anytime. I like BW hotels.
The location was perfect for my travel plans. The front desk was a welcoming helpful experience each time I needed something. She had a sincere attitude that the guest stay was very important to her. I will stay here again.
Well kept Best Western Motel. Breakfast was good although some items could have been kept warmer. Helpful and friendly front desk staff (arrived at approx 5p on 2/5). Noisy (at times) outside but inside was mostly quiet. Clean rooms ..but seemed slightly small. Workout room adequate that included aerobic equipment as well as dumbbells workout bench needs replaced). Very good 1 night stay.
An excellent overnight stop with our dog on our way to Florida. Room super clean, beds so comfy. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again. Breakfast was a bit basic, but did the job and was included in the price
Excellent staff, Michelle, David and Autumn all made our stay enjoyable ! I cannot say enough about the comfortable bed, best hotel sleep ever! Hot coffee in the lobby always available, breakfast was good!
This is a very odd hotel. I like Best Westerns, like the lack of conformity and have stayed at many through the US. This one is old and seems to be comprised of two separate buildings that have been cobbled together. It was generally not constructed of quality materials. But, it was plenty clean and comfortable, the staff was welcoming, and the breakfast was fine. And much more inexpensive than almost every other around. A strip mall with restaurants and a Walmart was an easy walk away (like that when we have been on the road all day to not have to get in car for dinner). We drive to Florida several times a year, and I plan to stop here again.
We stop here every year on our way home from Florida. This hotel has gotten much better the last few years and it's affordable. The breakfast is good. The only thing that I don't like, is that's it's pet friendly. I don't wanna sleep on blankets that someone's dog was on. We try to stay hotels that do not anllow pets. Other than that, 5 stars!
This place is perfect for a 1-night stop when you need to crash on your way from Point A to point B. It's super reasonable, room was clean, staff was really friendly & helpful, restaurants within walking distance, and a great breakfast. It's right off of I-75, so it was an easy in & out. Could the water pressure in the shower have been a bit more strong? Sure, but it was okay & the water drained just fine. I still highly recommend this hotel'
Stay was okay until the custodians arrived at 5:30am and started slamming doors in the corridor. The front desk attendant told us he was putting us in a nice quiet corner on the 2nd floor, anything but.
We have stayed at this hotel several times. Left my purse this last time got a call they had it locked up until I could come get it. Very honest staff. Very friendly they never forget a repeat customer.
Upon arrival, the staff were very friendly. Travis was super helpful in getting us checked in and letting us know about the partnerships they have in the area. Breakfast was what you would expect - something to fill you up but not knock your socks off. The beds were decent. The rooms were clean. It was just a good, solid spot.
had a very pleasant stay here in Kimball Tennessee, was in town on business / pleasure trip. Mr Travis at the front desk was very accommodating as we had left a few things behind and he was very helpful in getting it sorted for us. We'll definitely be staying here on our next trip in to this area.
I was pleasantly surprised of the quality of this hotel. It has a beautiful check in area, comfortable beds, and very friendly staff. My only issue was that I noticed some bug bites on my body after one night if stay.
The location was convenient. We didn't have enough towels for the number of guests, and the towels were extremely rough. The breakfast was of a low quality. The interior seemed to be “tired” and in need of an update. They didn't have hair conditioner.
This was my first stay at BW, and it certainly won't be my last, it was super clean, and everyone was friendly and helpful, i won't mention the other hotel i usually stay at, but i will be at BW from now on
My husband and I spent quite a bit of time researching hotels in Chattanooga for a trip we were taking with our grandsons. We couldn't find consistently good reviews for hotels in our price range and decided to extend our search a little further out. Having made the trip now, I would recommend Best Western Kimball Inn to other travelers. Our experience was: friendly staff, clean room, very comfy bed, yummy breakfast, free parking, good location, and a feeling of safety. We accidentally left an item in our room, and Michelle called to let us know they would hold it for us. So nice!
Everyone associated with the hotel made you feel that you were important and welcomed there. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was what we had come to expect prior to the pandemic. It is right off the interstate and you couldn't ask for a better location.
Robert at front desk is the man very helpful and a really nice guy I would recommend you staying here just because of him and the room was really clean and nice was in a good spot with in waking distant for shoping or food
Located in a shopping center off of Interstate 24. Nice renovated rooms. Plenty of restaurants and shopping within walking distance. Very pleasant check in with friendly staff. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Located in a shopping area with easy access from I-24. We only stay 1 night on our travels. The gentleman at check-in was very welcoming, which was nice after a long day. The rooms were clean and the breakfast offer a wide variety with hot items. There was plenty of restaurants & gas stations close by making it a perfect pit-stop. I would definitely recommend this place and stay here again.
We were traveling and needed a nice and convenient place to stay. This was perfect. The room was updated and clean, the breakfast was hot with a lot of variety. I'd definitely stay again if traveling through the area.
This was not my first choice of places to stay but I could not get a room in Chattanooga, so I decided Best Western in Kimball was the place to stay. Its on I-24 easy access between Atlanta and Nashville. The Staff here were very friendly the lady at the front desk was very nice, extremely friendly and helpful. Lots of places to eat on this exit near the hotel, fast food, and Cracker Barrel. Great Breakfast here, Best Western has good breakfast. The rooms are nice but rather basic. I would give this property 4 stars. I would reccommend this property to travelers to the Chattanooga area.
Travis was top notch check in clerk, said all the things Best Western was to be said in all ways recommended the best place to eat, room was great, will be back when in Kimball, Tennessee Need more like him
5 stars for service and 4 stars for the accommodations. Stayed here during the second week of October 2022. We made reservations a month ahead and were told that the hotel would be full when we were going to be there (and it was). We desperately needed to check in early so we could freshen up and get dressed for a wedding at 3:00. We called and spoke to Robert while we were en route and he said he would do everything he could to make it happen, but they were FULL and were doing the best they could...and it might be 3:00 before we could check in. He called us back in an hour and said our rooms were ready and we could check in (a little before 2:00pm). Yea! Also, one of the cleaning staff helped us get bags around the unusual steps up to the "First floor"--very kind and servant hearted lady. The room was clean, no bad smells or stains. The rest of the staff we talked with were cordial and helpful. This is not the Ritz-Carlton by any means, but the staff is amazing and I would definitely stay here again. One other note, part of the crowd staying here were families associated with a youth traveling softball team. They were rambunctious, but the rooms blocked out all the sounds.
The gentleman at checkin is one of the few who have ever looked at our requests on the online reservations ahead of time and accommodated that when available. He was so friendly and helpful . Also checkout gal awesome asked how things were if there was anything else they could do differently. And breakfast lady kept the place clean, answered questions and was very helpful.we left something at breakfast and breakfast staff took it to the front desk Room very clean, smelled clean, very quiet 2nd floor rooms. The only thing that we have seen available at other BWs that would have made this perfect was having nondairy healthy option at breakfast (we put it in our review to BW- unsweetened oatmeal without whey or milk and a non dairy milk - there are 1 year shelf stable options that can be made available on demand) - it would go great with their toppings bar. Truly grateful. Overall restful and great experience.
This hotel was moderate quality. Good location, friendly staff but our room was dirty and smelly. Would not stay here again… Stained sheets and the area by our room smelled absolutely awful. The plus was it was pet - friendly and worked for our two small doggies.
The room was very comfortable. The only problem was a slow draining tub. This was our last hotel night on a 2-week road trip and our brains were a little foggy. We forgot to tell them. We overslept and just about missed breakfast. But when we got there at the time she was supposed to be taking up everything, she waited until we had time to get some food. So sweet!
Friendly staff, clean rooms, full breakfast, and nice salt water out door pool. Great place on a budget. Good location for shops and restaurant. Security on outside building door doesn't work. Towels not always plentiful. Would stay again because it's clean and the staff is very nice.
Quick exit off the freeway. Less than 1/2 hour travel to some attractions. Great alternative for sold out major city hotels. Wasn't sure about staying here as it my intended preference was elsewhere, turned out to be pleasant surprise.
We stopped here for the night in the middle of a road trip. This property was very clean and the staff very friendly. The hot breakfast was probably the best I've had at this type of hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and would 100% stay here again if I ever needed a hotel in this area.
Pool is closed and looks like it has been for awhile. We had a king room, it was clean but rather small. Room does have a small microwave and mini fridge. There was no bath tub just a stand up shower. Close to a few fast food places as well as a Walmart and Dollar Tree. Not a bad place but not really worth the money - $200+ a night for a Sat night. The Best Western does have their pool open, if you are needing a pool you might want to stay there.
The Kimball Inn is just off of the interstate so it is very convenient. There are restaurants, shopping, and gas stations close by. The staff is friendly and the rooms are comfortable and clean. It was nice to be close to Chattanooga without having to stay in the city.
Access to and from the interstate was easy and there are a few restaurants and a Walmart within less than half a mile. Check-in was easy and the room was very clean, but there were several stains on bedding and curtains. The back door to the building, closest to us, was broken and would not latch, so the building was not secured. The manager said he'd try to fix it, but it stayed broken. Hot water was plentiful and pressure was acceptable, but only shampoo, soap, and lotion, no conditioner - I didn't ask for any because I bring my own, but I noticed. Breakfast was hard scrambled eggs (kid couldn't eat them because they were too "chunky"), sausage patties, a few muffins, and light wheat bread and bagels for toasting, along with fresh waffles. There was no spray so waffles tended to stick, but they were tasty. The coffee was from a machine that was poorly labeled. EVERYONE would stand there trying to figure it out! Apple juice and orange juice from a machine, too, but the orange juice was out and there were no signs to tell guests. The only hot water ran through the coffee machine so tea, oatmeal, etc. tasted like coffee. Yogurt and fruit cups were in the fridge along with cream cheese and margarine for bread and waffles. Everything was acceptable but just a few tiny changes could make it so much better. The best thing about our stay is that there is a cemetery across the road in back of the hotel, and the area closest to the road is empty. It provided a lovely huge expanse of mown grass for our dog to chase balls, so we could wear her out before getting back in the car when we checked out! Just for that reason, we'll plan on staying here every time we make this trip to family!
PROS: The breakfast area was very clean with lots of hot & cold choices. Staff was friendly and helpful. The guest room was clean. CONS: The hallway smelled very musky and the carpet is very old. The doors leading to the outside along the back of the hotel were not locked. Anyone could have come in from the outside. There was a key slide, but the door opened without using the key. This is probably what concerns me the most about this hotel. The internet was fine for our phones, but whenever I tried to connect my laptop it said a connection was not available.
bathroom fan broken, bed squeaked loudly, bathroom door hook missing, (base was in place), static from the clock radio without the radio playing. Maintenance was not available, another room was offered
My husband and I stayed here one night on trip to Florida. It was easy to find off highway 24…gas and plenty of restaurants. The room rate was very good compared to other hotels in the area. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room had comfortable bed and good bathroom. Floor was not clean and a soiled chair should be cleaned or removed. Those were only negatives. Also, rear door to outside did not lock properly but we were told staff is aware of problem and working to fix it. We appreciated having a refrigerator with freezer to keep our ice packs frozen for travel next day. Coffee and breakfast bar good. We would stay again.
The room was nice with comfortable beds. The room could have been a little cleaner. Dust on top of some furniture. Overall very nice. Front desk person was friendly and accommodating. Informative about local restaurants. Top of the rock was wonderful and kicked off our trip in style
Hotel staff were courteous and very accommodating. Common areas were clean and neat. Our room was clean, good size TV and fridge, free internet. We will be back for future stays. Great hotel that offers a room, if your traveling with a dog.
Arrived after driving most of the day. It was just a quick stop for a place to sleep and get on the road again. I was traveling with my 2 children. When we arrived, we had to park in an overflow parking lot that was not lit. I did not even feel safe to walk back out to the car after checking in. Building was laid out very oddly. Once we arrived in our room, there was a weird odor. You could definitely hear noise. The next morning, I got ready to take a shower, and brown water came out of the tub. Then the largest spider I've seen in the midwest came out from one of the bath towels. We were in room 222. I travel a lot, and this was my first bad Best Western.
Room was clean, had no maintenance issues and staff were excellent. I travel with a white noise machine ($20 on Amazon or similar). I recommend for anyone staying at hotels. This location seemed quite busy/active. Slept well. Bed was comfortable, heating/air good. Pillows were small for a king but were comfortable.
Clean and easy. Decent price. Friendly staff. Shower was a little outdated, but plenty of hot water. Comfortable bed. Nice heavy entrance door for peace of mind if security is your concern. Quiet and safe neighborhood.
NOT a PET friendly hotel Did not allow my CAT to stay. Had to leave him in the car. They did not tell me they DIDN'T take CATS when I made my reservations. Had stayed 2 years before with no problem. My sister and I neither slept well worrying about our CAT.
This is a very clean hotel but old. Trevor made check in very easy and Robert was very organized and kind and check out. was effortless. There are numerous restaurants within walking distance. Easy on/off from interstate.
Bed was comfortable. We stopped for sleep as we were worn out from driving. Older motel, needs work. Ok for a quick 1 night stop but don't expect quick check in or out.Check in was better than checking out. Someone was being trained so that was fine but waiting for someone to come in from smoking outside for quite a bit was not ok & no bell or any way to call. Even the phone ringing didn't bring anyone.
Front desk clerks were nice enough at check-in; Overall hotel seems to be old, and not kept up very well. It could have been cleaner! Breakfast offered was a waste of time! Linens/towels did not smell fresh.
Everything was great just as I Expected. Bed good, Shower Good, A/C or Heat Good! Everything was Clean, Neat, and Tidy. I will Definitely Stay Here From Now On During my Travels from State to State. Front Desk was also very helpful With Food suggestions and Wal-Mart just around the Corner.
We were traveling for a 2 week get way. We selected Kimball because it was about half way to condo. We enjoyed the Hotel and the room. The bed was very comfortable and advised the clerk at checkout of the bedding. We would stay at this hotel again. Hotel is surrounded by several restaurants. Only down side was the complementary breakfast is still not available. They offered a grab and go breakfast.
The night manager was training a new person on the desk.they couldn't have been nicer. We talked about racing & cars while checking in. The room was cute & clean. Very good value! We would highly recommend and will definitely stay here again.
Do not stay there unless you want to get sick, bed sheets had grit in them ,room was non smoking and had ashes and smell throught , toilet bowl had defecation on sides of bowl and under seat, bath tub had water frim last guest that never drained and still in it,hair throught room and floors were filthy just to mention a few there is alot more. Best Western was called and did nothing with free night or points, the hotel reinbursed the charge but with no were else to stay that night ahd had to clean poop off toilet to use it i can not relay how extremely bad it was selp in clothes on blood stained couch after covering with towles .
We took a 10 day vacation and it was absolutely the worst motel we stayed in the entire trip. It was noisy the desk attendant was rude and condescending. They were so many children Running up and down the hall with no one to monitor them. The management staff was just oblivious to it.The rooms weren't exactly clean and it was the type of place that purchased the smallest and cheapest towels along with the soap. The place needs a real facelift. Paint is peeling off the walls near the elevators and the carpet is really old. The breakfast consisted of cheap pastries sealed in plastic and juice. We did not partake so I cannot review that other than what I saw.
This is a great hotel for an off the highway location. My daughter did get a moldy biscuit from the grab and go breakfast (the only option during a pandemic), but other than that, everything was fine.
We were coming into town for a big event at the Haunted Old South Pittsburg Hospital. I put in two requests for our stay; a ground floor floor on the backside (for a quiet experience after a long night of ghost hunting) and their most haunted room (sort of as a joke, to see if they even read the request). We were put in a ground floor room in the back, in the corner closest to the cemetery across the street. You can't ask for better than that! The room was your basic room, but clean. We felt safe. The area is good because there's food all around, no matter what you're in the mood for, and a Walmart in the same location. Grab-and-go breakfast was a muffin, power bar, and apple thrown in a bag, but they had coffee. Staff were all friendly and checking in and out could not have been easier. The bed was a little hard... that was the only thing I didn't love. I am used to nice, plush beds when I stay at Best Westerns, so I was not expecting that.
This hotel is a 2 star hotel, so I am reviewing it as such. I did not expect state of the art facilities or top notch service. My daughter and I spent one night here and stayed in room 122. The carpet leading from the lobby into the hallway is definitely in need of a good cleaning and didn't start us off with a good impression. The room itself was better than I had anticipated, though. Our room was clean, the mattress was fine, and we had a microwave and mini refrigerator. There were little chips on the furniture, but nothing terrible. The pool was closed and we did not use the fitness center, so I cannot comment on those. However, the location of the pool is less than ideal. Had it been open, I wouldn't have used it due to the amount of traffic that passes by the pool area. It's unfortunate that the pool wasn't placed in the rear of the hotel, which would've afforded much more privacy to people not exactly comfortable with being in a bathing suit in full view of so many people. Breakfast was limited, due to Covid, and was as expected for a bagged breakfast. The walls seem quite thin and we were able to hear conversations from the room next door, not muffled words...we could actually hear everything they said. We could also hear every step taken by the people in the room above us. If noise bothers you, this would definitely be a deterrent. Or a reason to pack earplugs. I imagine a second floor room at the back of the hotel and at the end of a hall would've been significantly quieter than ours, so I would definitely recommend requesting a quiet location. Overall, I have no major complaints and think this hotel is a decent place to stay overnight.
Staff was friendly but the claim of 100% non-smoking was way off! In the area where where our room was located, smoke was all you could smell. The walls were very thin and not very well soundproofed either. Noisy room next to us played loud music and made it difficult to sleep. Not pleased with out stay at all.
The Best Western Kimball Inn is conveniently located to the Jasper Highlands office and the road to Jasper Highlands. I have stayed on three different occasions and the room is always clean, COVID precautions are being taken and enforced and the room decor is nice.
One of the best hotel's the wife and I have stayed in. Access to everything: Wally World, an excellent Mexican restaurant, fireworks etc. And one morning I screw up the T.V. and found a young lady working in the laundry room and she came right over to our room and fixed it. Had no issues and would stay here again!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Long story short we are paranormal investigators out of Iowa and had reserved 6 rooms for 2 nights almost every room had something wrong our room alone you sat on the toilet and had to hold on for dear life cause we was afraid it was going to fall over. Not to mention we had been told we could check out at noon and we was actually checked out around 10 a.m and still got interrogated about who had gave us a late check out, what does it matter we are out a hour early, should not have been an issue and the employee should have never basically accused me of lying. I worked at a hotel for years in Iowa and can't believe how badly I was made to feel, when Brad at the front desk had told us we could check out at noon.
I checked in very late (4am) and the night guy offered me a 12:30 checkout because of my PLATINUM BW MEMBERSHIP. I went to lobby about 11:50 and slipped on a wet floor as the day guy ROBERT WAS MOPING floor and neglected to put our "wet floor signs". I looked for a breakfast bar, none to be had, I pickup some hand sanitizer and went to get some real coffee creamer and the Robert guy accused me of stealing the hand sanitizer. He then told me I had to vacate my room as the night guy was not authorized to give me a late checkout. It was 11:55am. He stated my key would not work after 12:00pm and to vacate the room. I asked him about the wet floor and no signs, he did not respond. When checking out, I requested to put the bill on another credit card. Robert could not figure out how to do this. When I turned away he rudely told me to watch the credit card machine for prompts and insert card, I stood there for another 10 minutes as he fumbled to unsuccessfully change my credit card. Robert asked another employee how to switch the credit card and he still could no do it. This guy is in the wrong business and should not be working in the Business. I AM STILL trying to get reimbursed for my personal credit card. Bummer experience.
The room was clean and we loved the large fridge in the room. Wish it had a better coffee pot though. Next time we will bring our own. We just bought property in the area so as we build our home on it, we will be staying here. VERY convenient location - lots of restaurants (mostly fast food) Lowes and a Walmart for anything else.
It was the Saturday after Thanksgiving (2019) and we were on our way home from Daytona Beach (to Indiana). Severe weather was pounding the area and we gave up on our trip and headed for a room. I followed my other family members in another car to the Best Western in Kimball and we got a couple of adjoining rooms and quickly settled in. The lightning, thunder and heavy rains continued overnight but the beds were very comfortable, the room was clean and the rates were great. My wife enjoyed a Christmas movie on the large TV and I found a snack area that was a junk-food junkie's paradise. After scouring a dozen or so Twinkees, I drifted off to sleep. The rooms were quiet and there was very little outside noise (other than occasional thunder), The staff was great and the free Continental Breakfast was delicious. Overall a very enjoyable stay!
Our check in was great and staff very friendly upon arrival and checking out. Our room very hot when we checked in and never cooled down enough to be completely comfortable. Very nice rooms especially for the price. We will stay here again while visiting family.
Clean, great frig freezer. Toilet that seemed like it was going to turn over. Rocky and seemed very unstable. Not sure it was bolted to the floor. Their tubs are not safe. Way too slippery! Front desk was very smart. No pen needed to sign, large glass to separate people. Cards were put in a container at checkout. Grab and go breakfast had overripe bananas. Coffee dispenser hardly worked. Very slow.
My family was driving across the country and stopped for the night. The rooms were very clean, the staff was very nice, and the location was very safe. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone traveling through the area.
Wore out on way home from Florida. Read reviews and thought we'd give it a try. Upon arrival David was very friendly, gave us a good rate and checked in quickly! Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast gave us several options, hit the spot and got us quickly on our way. Only complaints were ice machine on the second floor was broken and my wife was awakened by what sounded like an argument at a business next door around 1:00 am. Would stay again.
The hotel staff were very friendly at both check in and check out. The room was a bit noisy and the AC wasn't the strongest. The WiFi was good. The breakfast was surprising and good. I would stay here again if passing through the area.
Very welcoming, extremely eager to help with any questions that you have. Good breakfast options. Close to eating, gas, shopping, and interstate. Will stay again! Has elevator, front and rear parking. Also truck parking available
The check-in for the room was decent; the front desk customer service person was chatty but helpful. The room itself wasn't real clean, but I've seen worse. The water in the tub came out rusty at first, but then the rest of the time it was fine. Overall, I would say this is a decent hotel for the area.
Helpful & friendly front desk staff. The room was spacious & comfortable. Great central location. We were going to an event in a nearby cavern & this hotel was a great last minute place to stay. Quiet & clean.
We will definitely stay here again if we are in the area. The staff was very nice and helpful. The rooms were very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The hotel was not far from the interstate and gas was available near the hotel.
The room was fine although the bed was not too comfortable. The desk staff was very nice. The breakfast was good with plenty of choices. They had both sausages and bacon. Both were perfectly cooked. I would stay here again.
We were in town to adopt a pup for our friends. We enjoyed our stay. We were somewhat secluded and I liked it since we adopted a little pup and was traveling with a pup. I recommend this place. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and appeared to be recently upgraded. The bed was very comfortable.
Tip .. Always find Holli or Jennifer "Whitwell Girls" because no matter what the question , concern or need maybe, thats the people that the staff will get to find a solution to every thing! I was in town to find replacement Iron Workers so after returning to Hotel I ask evening Clerk if he knew any workers he suggested to ask those Whitwell girls Holli or Jennifer the next day . Following morning found out who they were an by lunch Jennifer found me 3 workers , Holli directed me to the famous Raceway in Whitwell were the locals found me 2 more workers an I got to head home 2 days early . Tried to hire them cause they do everything. This hotel meet every need .Check in - Holli , Breakfast -Jennifer / Holli, Fixed broken fan on AC - Jennifer , Check to make sure I got HK -Jennifer , Fixed my rate -Holli , Got my dirty laundry- Jennifer. Check out Jennifer / Robert .
I have stayed at this hotel several times and will choose other options in the future. It is an older, outdated hotel. The exterior reminds me of a building that had all its windows covered over. It doesn't look inviting from the outside. The lobby is small and cluttered and disorganized. Furnishings and carpet are in desperate need of replacement. All the hallways are also in the same condition and very confusing. The room was just average at best with the same issues, outdated. The room wasn't very clean, there was dust in the corners and on the tile floor. You could tell that the room is not deep cleaned every time. The mattress was lumpy and just ok. The entire hotel looks like its stuck in the 80s!
I do hope the ongoing renovations help this hotel. Don't know if we had the same room as a previous reviewer, but the toilet in our bathroom wobbled. We had reserved a King room, but got two queens as an "upgrade". No place to sit in the room. Just two straightback chairs and a tiny table squeezed in next to the TV. It did have a fridge and microwave--a very old one with a knob to turn to set the cook time. There is a fan in the bathroom, but it just makes noise. It's not really an exhaust. The tub was VERY slippery--and this was an "accessible" room. (We did not reserve an accessible room.) Old fashioned A/C unit under the window. It DID have an always on function for the fan, if that is important to you. And one good point was the TV had a real HD signal. Breakfast was average.
We stopped here during a storm (unplanned stop). We found this hotel to be clean and the staff was very helpful. The rooms are a bit dated but just fine. The bed was comfortable with a new TV. Perfect for our needs.
Will use hotel as I can can't complain about anything things was clean and neat the workers was nice and helpful even the maids it was as good as it would been at my home. There was no stress and that meant a lot.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Room were very clean. Breakfast had a great selection and tasted good. I will definitely make this my stop on my way back to and from visiting my family every time I go now.
This was the nicest Best Western we have ever stayed in. Nice, clean, courteous staff in the lobby. The accommodations were very nice !!!!! We left Sept 21 st and returned home 10/7. Thanks, Linda McEntire
They were undergoing remodeling of rooms and the facility...I'm sure it will be much better soon. There was a dirty smell in the 1st floor hallway at the end by the fitness area and breakfast area. Our bathroom was immaculate except for the handicapped seat...looked stained. Our room was large due to being a handicapped room. We had problems with the phone and TV but staffed fixed it immediately. The breakfast was very good. Clean, looked well protected from germs, hot foods were hot and cold foods cold. Very nice selection of food and beverages.
Wonderful staffing, clean, comfortable room, great amenities, good food and shopping nearby. Easy access from hi ways, pet friendly, reasonable pet rate, very good breakfast and snack area. Well lit parking lot, 24 hour coffee, very good room value. Very satisfied with the room and amenities.
Quick Check-in, comfy bed, great breakfast, outstanding fitness center, excellent staff!! We stayed for two nights and everything was wonderful. Our room was near a rear entrance which made unloading and reloading very easy. We will definitely be back.
In town for a softball ball tourney. I called ahead on 8/29 to ensure pool would remain open, holly, the manager assured us It would be. The pool wasn't covered and was crystal clear but “closed for the season.” Kristy at the front desk tried SO hard to accommodate us since the ONLY reason we booked there was for the pool. Holly wouldn't budge. We decided we would stay somewhere else since this hotel lied to us. The manager refused to refund our money so EIGHT paying customers could stay where there was a pool for the kids. We are at the Hampton Inn Next door using their pool, so I would recommend staying here. Cleaner, nicer, friendlier. DONT STAY at BW!! Read it again, Hampton inn where we are NOT paying is letting us use there pool. Terrible. Thanks Kristy! Only good thing about BW.
We're moving to the area, so this was a perfect place for us. Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Rooms could use some updating, but they were clean and comfortable. We'll definitely stay again.
In our first room the AC wasn't working and we were moved next door. Kuddos for that. The next room had issues with the bathroom door getting stuck on the floor and only closing halfway unless you physically lifted the door. The toilet wasn't properly bolted to the floor and lurched forward when sitting on it. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.
Business trip to the local area, nice room, good decor, good breakfast, nice pool and nearby restaurants. Problem was my feet turned black walking across the carpets. Disgusting. Had to was them in the tub. Also, in the fitness room, my head would bump the ceiling on the stepper. I wasn't asked how my stay was upon check out. Oh well. Probably won't stay here again.
Room smelled of urine. No discount or apology from manager. Tried to give higher rate rather than contracted rate. Toold discount was not giving me higher rate for night. Charged higher rate for the second night so original amount held for two nights then accidentally? Higher rate also held from my banking account. Should have been only the first amount. Ran amount without consulting me and before another contract to be signed. Manager acted as if I was a problem. Offered no discount or apology. Room smelled of strong urine!!! I am a nurse so recognize it!!!
We stayed here because it was a decent halfway spot between Chattanooga and The Caverns concert venue in Pelham. For one night it was ok. They put me in a room on the backside of the hotel as I requested so I wouldn't hear highway noise. The hallway carpets look very dated but the rooms were basic and comfortable. Since they use those square-shaped, barely filled pillows that budget hotels always use we asked the night attendant for a few more when we returned from The Caverns. She told us the hotel was full and they had no pillows, and basically brushed us off (strange since the parking lot didn't seem filled to me). There was also a strange, very strong carpet freshner-type smell throughout the hotel. It was strong enough that I skipped the free breakfast to avoid it. Next time I'll likely bite the bullet and stay in Chattanooga.
Very Clean Very helpful front desk personnel. Everything was clean and organized. When my refrigerator didn't work, the problem was quickly corrected. Only slight issue was there wasnt towels out by the pool most of the time.
Tiny, dingy poorly lit check in did not give me confidence. An inability to find parking, mostly due to the inept parking by other guests, but not helped by the small spaces. The room was dark, dingy, faced a solid wall and had a light by the door that flickered when off. The comforter was ripped and the floor was not that clean. Bathroom fan blew out hot air and made things really uncomfortable in the bathroom. It was 95 outside.
The room was clean and well-appointed. The inside and outside of the facility were clean and up to date. Staff was friendly, professional and accommodating for a few things my husband and I needed at the last minute.
We were booked at the Hampton Inn Kimball, but they overbooked and sent us to the Best Western. The staff was very courteous and very gracious, even under the weird circumstances of our stay with them. We stayed in a suite, which was larger than a normal room but nothing special. Our only window looked onto a weird little corner between two buildings. If the room wasn't being paid for by the Hampton Inn and I paid for a suite, I would have been upset. The breakfast was good the next morning, but based on all of the little details with the breakfast and our room, I can see why Best Western is a little less expensive than a Hampton Inn.
Clean, comfortable, good eats in morning, and surrounding area was very homely. Would stay again for sure. If you're wanting a 5 star hotel then you should stay at one. This place is clean and safe. Staff were very nice.
Checked in the room but went out to eat first. Returned to the room and noticed the bathroom smelled of urine. Reported problem to front desk and was told the problem would be reported to management because there were no more rooms available. Checked out next day and was told there wasn't anything that could be done about complaint sense the the room was reserved online. I will never use that Best Western Kimball Inn again.
We came for the cornbread festival and the hotel was booked to capacity and we were still made to feel special and important, great hospitality and extremely clean rooms and wonderful breakfast foods to choose from and always fully stocked. Great place to stay
Toilet broken and big black cobwebs hanging from the ceiling above the bed. After reporting the issues was only told tanks for letting me know by desk cleark. Was not offered a discount or even asked what they could do to make it right. Would not recommend this place to anyone.
We needed a room for the night, so my daughter and I stopped with my two grandsons here on the way toward Nashville. The front desk attendants were both VERY nice checking us in and out. The breakfast area was clean and had a good selection. The beds and bathroom were all very clean. I'd give this establishment a 4 except for the carpet in the room. My grandsons are 2 and 1. After walking on the floor barefooted for a little bit, we realized that all of our feet were dirty from the carpet. We spent the rest of the night and the next morning trying to keep them off of the floor.
I was in the area for work. I had to stay overnight and did not want to drive back on forth to Chattanooga each day. This Best Western was a pleasant surprise. The location was great, right off I-24. It was within walking distance of several stores and restaurants. Very close to Wal-Mart. The hotel common areas were clean. The staff provided friendly customer service. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable. It was a little noisy but it is near a shopping center, highway and I-24. Great little place to stay. I only wish they would have brewed coffee for breakfast service. They only offer machine coffee which is bland and tasteless. Otherwise, I highly recommend this location.
Like several other people who were checking in at the hotel after dealing with awful traffic and driving through a thunderstorm, the desk staff was welcoming and considerate. Call it southern hospitality or whatever you want, but these guys were so nice.
We stayed here for just one night as we traveled from south to north. Everything about this hotel was wonderful. It is very clean, staff is awesome, breakfast was really good with a wide variety of options to select from with the best hotel coffee I have ever had. The king-sized bed was very comfortable. Plus, we booked on line and requested a room on the first floor near an exterior door as we had our dog with us. And that is exactly the room we got. I have never had this experience at any other hotel when making a request. I am very impressed with this hotel in every aspect. As we travel in the future between Chicago and Florida we will definitely stay here again. I high recommend it. Please note, however, we checked in at 11 pm and checked out at 8 am so we did not have time to explore the area or use any of the hotel amenities except for breakfast.
I arrived without reservations and was able to get a nice room at a good price. I really liked the water sculpture wall in the lobby. The room was quiet, comfortable and Debbie from housekeeping gave me some lotion when i realized i didn't bring any. The bed was very comfortable. I would recommend this hotel.
We picked up a coupon book at the Tennessee Welcome Center on I-65 and found a price for the Best Western in Kimball much to our liking. This was our third Best Western in the past eight months and we remain impressed with the steps BW is taking with its hotels/inns. We had just endured rain and fog coming through the mountains on I-24 eastbound the guy at the desk (forgot his name) made it a pleasant experience to check in. He was informative about the amenities, including breakfast. The king-sized bed was as comfortable as our bed at home and the breakfast was everything we expected. Express Checkout was even better. Thank you, Best Western Kimball Inn. We'll be back.
I stayed for six days, the front desk was very helpful and nice, snacks are very over priced. Clean rooms, love the heater in the bathroom, bed was soft. Nice overall stay at the Best Western, close by a lot of things, discount at the subway and Mexican restaurant. Walmart is close by
The staff are helpful and professional. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is good. The ONLY issue I have with this hotel are there is only bathtub/shower and they are dangerously slippery! Someone else complained on about this on another website a year ago, and I thought must be an old person, until I fell getting out of it. so they've had time to address this, and you've been warned!
I had recently checked into the Best Western in Kimball, TN after having car trouble. It was at night time and all tire repair shops were closed for the evening so I had to wait until morning before something could be done. I stopped in at the front desk and was speaking with David the night manager on duty. I said that I had car trouble and wanted to see if I could get a good rate on a hotel room. In speaking with me he quickly learned that I was coming back from Atlanta for a day trip and I was stranded for the evening. He gave me the best internet rate, directed me down to Wal-Mart which was in walking distance, gave me 2 restaurants that would give me a 10% discount on food in showing my room key and he even asked if I had a phone charger for my phone. I said I needed a charger as I had the cord. He reached in his pocket and gave me his. My car would not be fixed until 1pm the next day and Robert the morning manager asked if I needed a late checkout. I said I did and he granted me the extra time and said that if I needed help let him know. The staff went out of their way to help and would definitely stay there again and would recommend them to anyone traveling; business or personal that needs a great place to stay. Rooms were very nice, breakfast was great, and it is very centrally located to shops and restaurants. To Dave and Robert many thanks!!! You should be recognized for a job well done!!!
This was a stop in the way to Florida. Very easy to make the reservations on route. Quick check in. Clean comfortable room. Nice breakfast. Waffles, eggs, and sausage nice addition. Quick check out and back on the road.
Checked in around 8pm went to bed. Took a shower, ate breakfast then was back on the road. It's close to the interstate but not so close you can hear it. Staff was friendly and nice and breakfast was hot.
My boyfriend and I were coming home from my internship in Florida and we stopped at several exits to find a hotel to stay in. Everywhere was booked to the brim and this was our last resort. The front desk was so amazing and catering to our needs. They were kind given the time of night. Her name was Shell I believe? I wish I could remember. They have the most comfortable beds! I slept so good that night. Best sleep I had gotten all summer. Breakfast was served the next morning and it was just the icing on the cake. We will be staying here over any of the other hotels in the area the next time we are making the long Florida drive.
Our trip was due to a funeral and we didn't want to stay in Chattanooga so after doing research we made reservations at BW, Kimball, TN. So glad we made this our stop. We were very pleased with everything (staff friendly, cleanliness, well stocked breakfast as well as nice variety). Thanks, it was all appreciated after a five hour drive from MS.
My husband and I and two kids visited Kimball for a wedding recently. We booked this hotel on short notice so we weren't sure what we were getting into. I would definitely stay here again. The hotel staff were so helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean and comfy. They served a complete breakfast bar with eggs, sausage, waffles, cereal , fruit, yogurt, danish, bagel, juice, coffee. The hotel is conveniently located next to a shopping center that we visited. We were completely satisfied with our visit and would recommend to others.
We stayed hete as it was really close to Jasper. Staff was friendly and the room was clean. It have a really strong smell like bleach but nothing you cant tolerate. The only thing i did not like was that both day we stayed housekeeping was knocking our doors at 8am. Other than that the location is fantastic.
This is our 3rd time staying at this hotel... I know why stay if it is that bad but unfortunately there are not a lot of options. We go each year for an event and this is the hotel of choice many due to the price which of the other hotel in the area that is almost double the cost and we really don't spend much time at the hotel itself. The smell has not improved and this time were unfortunate enough to have a toilet that did not flush. We did bring this to their attention and they did send someone to fix it unfortunately it did not help. The toilet was plugged for our entire 4 night stay. Mentioned it again at check out thinking that they would at least offer a discount or perhaps something off on future stays but all we go was a 'sorry'. The cleaning staff are friendly and try their best but unfortunately the front desk and management are a let down as far as service goes. The hotel is in need of much repair.
This hotel was the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. The rooms have the most horrific smell - like mold and mildew mixed with urine. Also the beds are damp and the rooms are not clean. Not fit for anyone to stay in. The air conditioning does not work.
We quickly checked into the hotel, grabbed the keys and took two steps into a very musky smelling room with the A/C blowing on high. The GREAT part was there were no questions when we explained and asked for a refund! Definitely time for an update!
This motel was an intermediate stop on our trip to a MCA National Mustang Car Show. It was conveniently located off the interstate. The motel staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. It appears they are in the process of doing some updates to the rooms. There are plenty of places to eat dinner nearby. The breakfast was plentiful and the breakfast staff was friendly.
Just needed a place to crash for the night. This hotel is fairly simple from the outside. Its convenient to the highway, and next to a strip mall where we found pizza for dinner. The hotel has stairs inside, which could be a problem for those with mobility issues, also the parking lot is small and spaces are tight. Breakfast was not good. The apple and orange juice were watered down, hot food offering consisted of powdered eggs, waffles, and biscuits with watered down and tasteless gravy. The corn flakes have obviously been out for quite a while as they were incredible stale. I'd recommend this hotel if you just need a convenient place to crash for the night, while “driving through the area”. Other than that, you'd best keep looking.
Hotel staff was very courteous. The premises, while looking nice on the surface, needs an update for the price charged. This is an older building, which is obvious by its design. We stayed here because it was a bit cheaper than what the standards hotels are charging. It should have been quite a bit cheaper given the overall facility.
The front desk and breakfast service staff were all friendly and helpful. The housekeeping staff were very welcoming and accommodating, going out of their way to wish us a great day on our way out. The rooms were clean and the decor is nice and modern.
Nice, clean and comfortable hotel. Be aware -- not many restaurants at all in the immediate area.... all fast food. Good location to get into Nashville if your journey takes you north and onward. Easy on/off from highway.
we were traveling up north, and needed a place that would allow us to have our yorkie. we felt like $151 was over charging us for a so-so room. there was nothing special. north of Chattanooga, nothing to do in the area, except go to Walmart? breakfast just so-so, and nothing special. staff was nice and adequate, but nothing special for the price.
This is one of the best hotel i stayed at for the price the staff is very friendly and always have a smile the hotel is very very clean bed are very comfortable they have a very good breakfast and the hotel is in a good location minutes off interstate 24 walking distance to shops and restaurants great hotel worth every penny
I have stayed in this Best Western a few times now and each visit I have been pleasantly surprised that nothing changes. The staff are very nice and the beds are truly comfortable. I can't say that about other hotel beds.
We stayed here (2 rooms) overnight on a road trip. The hotel was clean and check in was quick and easy. Our rooms were very cold upon arrival but once we turned the heat up they soon warmed up. A good choice for an overnight, very convenient to the freeway.
My husband and I stayed here while visiting family for the holidays. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious (waffles, yogurt, fruit cups, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, cereal, oatmeal, pastries, bagels, muffins, and toast). Check in and check out were easy and quick. Pets are allowed (pet fee is only $15) We definitely recommend this hotel.
Great breakfast. Comfortable clean room. Brought our dog and there was absolutely no problems. Only slightly higher than area hotels but worth it to get great service and clean room. Will stay here again when visiting family in the area.
This hotel is a hidden treasure for overnight on your journey. Comfort and cleanliness will be found here. Walking and essential shopping are within walking distance. You will find easy access to the highway.
Good place for us to stop on our way to see family in Florida. Loved that my whole family fit in one room. Teenagers do not sleep well together so having the extra pull-out couch bed is a big plus for us. The hot breakfast was fine and the folks who work there are very nice.
Awesome place, close to places to eat, shopping and I 24. I is clean and the staff are very helpful. The breakfast was very good. The coffee was well done, the scrambled eggs fluffy. Fruit and yogurt were available.
Pulled in to the Best Western Kimball Inn on Friday night 11/10/17 about 10:00 pm. On our way from OFallon, MO to Nokomis, FL. Quick and friendly check-in. King Room was very clean and comfortable. Went to the complimentary breakfast as they opened at 6:00am. Greeted with smiles and courteous direction. Food was hot and fresh. We stayed again on our return on 11/18/17 with the same expectations. They were fulfilled. Would recommend it fully
This was a very nice hotel. I stopped at a rest park on I 75, found a coupon book, called the hotel and made a reservation. The value of the hotel with the discount was perfect. The desk clerk stated that the hotel was completely renovated a year or 2 ago.
We have found in the past that you never know what you are going to get with a Best Western property. Some can be really nice while others can be run down and unkempt. It seems that over the past several years that Best Western has been Trying to improve their brand. This hotel was exceptional. It was freshly remodeled with tasteful furnishings, clean and the staff were professional. It was definitely a great experience and I will give Best Western another try in the near future.
Check in was fast and desk clerk was polite and friendly. Our room was spacious and clean. Bathroom was clean and well supplied. the bed and pillows were comfortable. There was a hot Breakfast that was really good. It takes a while to figure out the room setting locations and the breakfast room, but once learned, no problem. good location off the main hwy. Good parking and lighting. The price is right for a nice stay.
Great staff at checkin and checkout. Decently comfortable bed. Difficult-to-access internet. Sparkling clean room except for old carpet. Dog friendly. Unfortunately, a roach crawled across the TV cabinet not long before we left. The checkout clerk made note of it and sincerely apologized. I'd stay again.
Breakfast is important to me and my family. The food is better than the greasy Shoney's right next door, and free with our room rental. Shoney's would have been about $50. The lady working the breakfast was pleasant, and was more a waitress than just someone slinging food like other hotels.
We stayed here on the way to and back from a Florida trip (mid way point). With our five member family, their double queen suites were a great fit - including two queens and a sleeper sofa for the youngest of our kids. The room was clean for the most part, and we felt comfortable with the design and mattresses. Guests in neighboring rooms were quiet and didn't cause any trouble. The breakfast was above average - including meat and eggs both mornings. Hit waffles also keep the kids happy. We would more than likely stay here again - it was my wife's favorite hotel of our entire 10 day road trip! I review EVERY hotel property that I stay in - good and bad - as I travel extensively with my job and family. My reviews are both fair and honest. I receive so much help and advice by using TripAdvisor that I respond back to the community in return of the favor.
I booked this hotel thru a major site for a great price! The hotel itself is old and may need a bit of a remodel. The room was ok, we had a handicapped room as it was what they had left, not a big deal. The issue really was the parking. The employees don't monitor the lot (or even take license plates like most hotels do) and when we arrived we found a bus that had taken up 8 spots (very little parking in front) and found out it was just the driver staying at the hotel, the bus was running empty. There is bus/big rig parking across the street for them but instead lets make guest park in the Shoney's parking lot and walk. We mentioned this nicely to the employee who stated the owner didn't require plates- note to owner: require plates upon check in. Overall the hotel was ok for the money, as other reviews point out-if you have heavy bags there are steps you must climb before you can reach an elevator. Breakfast seemed very hearty-waffles/pancakes ect.
This was a one night stay for my family of 4. The staff was friendly and most important the room was clean. My kids enjoyed the waffles for breakfast and I enjoyed the gluten free options. Clean and great value.
Bed's a little bit too firm for my liking. Other than that, it was fine. AC unit needs to be cleaned out. Smelled a bit strange though. The outlets on the lamps are a little loose and probably needs to swapped out. But all in all, it was an okay stay. There are plenty of choices on dining are the hotel and Walmart if you wanna microwave food instead
Two rooms, 3 people. Stayed 8 nights during hurricane Irma and waiting on clean up and power restoration so we could return to FL. Rooms were excellent and the entire staff were friendly and helpful throughout the entire stay. From the manager to the cleaning staff, everyone was top notch and we couldn't really ask for a better experience during a trying time. The on-site breakfast area was more of a mini-restaurant than just a nook that most hotels offer and was kept well stocked, along with some freshly made items. Food service manager was very friendly and made sure everyone was welcomed and had what they wanted. Excellent all around and has plenty of restaurants and shopping in the area.
We needed a place to sleep for a quick overnight and this fit the bill. The room was very small but comfortable and clean and the staff was very friendly. Only thing to know is that there are stairs to get up to even the first level so if you have heavy bags be aware! Overall great value for the quality.
Hey, it is a Best Western, not the Waldorf Astoria. Hotel was clean, the suite we got for our large family was quite spacious, roof didn't leak and we had hot water for our showers. Breakfast was well done, if a little crowded. Hotel is convenient to Chattanooga, Lookout Mtn/Rock City and hiking up in the Cumberland area, without the Chattanooga price. We just needed a place to sleep between activities, so it was a great value for us.
This Best Western was close to restaurants, shopping, right off the interstate. Recently refurbished and updated. The bed was very comfortable. Would recommend this Best Western to our family and friends.
Comfortable and clean with a courteous staff and all at a reasonable price. I would recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the area. The breakfast had a decent variety with eggs, gravy, waffles, cereals, and drink options were also nice. The juice was a tad watered down, but at these type venues, that is not uncommon. All in all, a great stay.
I stayed at the Best Western Kimball Inn as an evacuee from Hurricane Irma. Check-In: I had driven from Florida through the night with my 3 children. I didn't take into account the time difference (Kimball is on CST). Check-in time is 2pm, I arrived at 12:30pm. When I realized my mistake, they told me not to worry, and got me in a room right away. They were so kind and hospitable, even helped me get my bags out of my car. Breakfast: They had an above average breakfast in my opinion. They had eggs and waffles every morning, with either bacon or sausage (even had warm biscuits with the bacon one morning). They had pastries, plenty of bread items (including bagels, English muffins, etc), and cereals, yogurt (with all kinds of toppings), oatmeal, juices and coffee. My first morning there I hadn't yet had a chance to get my baby any milk, and as soon as they saw me walk into the breakfast room with her bottle, they offered to fill it for me. The hotel was filled at capacity due to Hurricane Irma, and all the staff worked very hard and were very kind to us all. Location: Kimball is about 30 minutes west of Chattanooga. I drove into Chattanooga each day, and the ride was very pleasant due to all the beautiful mountains in the distance. Never seemed to be that long of a ride. The actual location of the hotel itself was right beside several restaurants and a Super Walmart. There was a yummy Mexican restaurant, Shoney's, Cracker Barrell and also a Chinese Restaurant all within walking distance. Across the street from the hotel was several fast food restaurant. Community: One of the local churches brought by McDonald's hamburgers and bottled water for all of us Evacuees one night. There was also a local gym that provided dinner for all who evacuated for 2 nights. It was very heartwarming to see the sense of compassion within this community. That definitely tells you something about a place! Things to Do: Chattanooga is 20 miles east. We enjoyed Ruby Falls, Rock City and the Tennessee Aquarium while we were there (they also gave us an evacuee special, which was a nice surprise). There were so many other things to see that we never got a chance to do! Rooms: I had a double queen room, which also had a couch and a coffee table. It was very roomy, and the bathrooms and room itself was very nice. As a woman who was alone with my 3 children, I felt a certain sense of security at this hotel and in this community. I can't thank the Best Western Kimball Inn (and the community) enough for their amazing hospitality and compassion for us as we fled from Irma. Definitely made everything so much easier on me!
Treated well, bed comfortable and the room was quite. Traveling for a living across various parts of America, I would recommend this location to friends or business colleagues. I would not hesitate to stay at this location if I were in the area and in need of a good nights sleep in a comfortable room and bed.
Was a good place to spend a couple of nights. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance of the hotel.Only problem we had was the room didn't get very cold the first night. Enjoyed the swimming pool after being out in the boat all day. I was told the morning breakfast was very good and we'll worth going down for. The bed could have been a little firmer. Overall was a nice place.
I booked a room over a month in advance and when I arrived, I found out they had cammceled my room! No warning! I spent $130 dollars more than I intended because I had to rush around and find a different hotel that still had rooms available. Front desk persons gave blank stare and no explanation.
The hotel is close to the highway, was very quiet & had a wonderful breakfast! The staff, especially Rebecca in the breakfast area, was friendly & helpful. There is a small outdoor pool, & the hotel is right next to a small shopping center which has several restaurants-definitely convenient. I will definitely plan to stay there again.
Just needed a place to stay on our way from Florida to Nashville. Hotel just under a couple of hours from Nashville with easy access from the interstate. Hotel staff was very friendly and complimentary breakfast was better than most. Older hotel but recently updated and reasonable rates which was perfect for a quick overnight stay before continuing on our journey the next morning.
Nice people nice accommodations. Will stay again if we come this way. Excellent pillows we like that a lot. Pool was fun for grands and other guests very friendly. Guess that is what the south is about.
This hotel is surrounded by the beautiful mountains of Eastern Tennessee. Within walking distance are several restaurants and stores, including a Wal-Mart open round the clock, where I purchased a few necessary personal items. The room was clean and the bed very comfy. The complimentary breakfast was a cut above the usual.
Love this place always enjoy our stay, will recommend it to anyone, everyone friendly, its pet friendly for my baby, pool great , plenty of great food close by plus some shopping. Close to the mountains at lookout. Great place to visit Plus Chattanooga.
We were very happy with our stay at the Best Western hotel in Kimball Tennessee. It's not the fanciest hotel, but it was nice and very clean. The pool was clean. The staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.
This is an older hotel, but has been updated. It is located in a quiet location. The room assigned to us was a king bed in a corner. We didn't hear anything from that location. The breakfast was acceptable. Good selection of sweet rolls, muffins with waffles and eggs. Also, refrigerator items were available. I highly recommend this hotel when in the Kimball/Chattanooga area.
Type of food they serve. I have leg problems so the front desk gave us room close to the exit door we were grateful. They gave directions to get to breakfast area without going up and down stairs which is very thoughtful
Mued wiy daughter and I arrived after a long day driving. We were greeted by a very friendly woman at the desk. The check in was quick and efficient. I asked for a recommendation for dinner and received a great response and good dinner. The room was comfortable and a great value. We checked out the next morning and continued on our road trip. Unfortunately, I left behind a CPAP machine which was a disaster for me. I didn't realize I left the machine until I was in Fort Lauderdale. I continued with the road trip and contacted the hotel when I got home. The hotel and the hotel manager could not have been of more help in getting my cpap machine home. They went so far as to drive it to a UPS store. I can not thank the staff and manager for a great stay and going the extra mile for a customer. I highly recommend this hotel.
Awesome staff! Best group of employees ever. They were courteous, professional, and hospitable. My family was very impressed with the whole experience. We will definitely stay at this hotel again in the near future.
Found the perfect room for our situation at this hotel. We had 3 adults, 2 teenage girls & 2 small dogs. The room was a great size with plenty of room for all of us along with our luggage and a dog kennel. Staff were all extremely helpful and courteous. Breakfast was nice, having the ability to make waffles, the normal pastries, cereal, yogurt, toast but also the hot options of eggs and bacon or sausage. Wonderfully priced for all you get at this hotel!
This hotel is in a good location. It is a great value for the money. Great restaurants in the area. Located right off the interstate. Very nice hotel for families. Friendly staff, and very helpful. Very nice.
Great experience. Nice property; well maintained & clean rooms. Comfortable beds. Staff was friendly & knowledgeable about the area. Good location; plenty of restaurant choices and retail stores. Easy access to interstate. Great value - definitely recommend.
This hotel has all you need when on a long-distance road trip -- comfortable, clean, easy to access, with a good breakfast, high-speed internet, and welcoming staff. The rooms appear recently and attractively decorated.
Booked on Expedia for a same day room due to extensive car travel. On arrival at 10:30 PM local time they informed me that they did not have a room with two queen beds available and offered me a king bed room instead. Kind of cramped with a family of five but we made it work. The room was slightly below what I consider average for a Best Western. When I called Expedia to get a refund for the difference between what I paid and what the hotel billed Expedia, the Expedia rep called the hotel and no manager who could authorize a refund was on duty. The Expedia rep was told to call back the next day when the manager was in. I had to settle for an Expedia gift card. Unless you are there for local attractions, keep driving to Chattanooga.
Moving cross country, this one of my best stays. Slept very well and appreciated the great service. Nice to have good air conditioning and refridgerator that stayed cool for my food/drink. Bed was very comfortable and decor was modern. Large flat screen with plenty of channels to enjoy. Staff very friendly and accomodating.
We stayed here on our way to IN, and on the return trip home. The rooms were clean, updated and comfortable. The price was reasonable , however, if there is an event, they will raise the price without notice. Best to book or check on TripAdvisor. Breakfast was one step above the regular waffle breakfast; first stay had bacon , eggs, waffles and the usual, second stay had sausage instead of bacon. All in all, we would stay here again and it was nice.
the staff was wonderful especially the housekeepers Debbie was the sweetest so was Rebecca just wonderful to us great great housekeeping staff, the nicest Best Western Ive ever stayed at. Front desk girls were awesome. The pool was clean and very nice. The housekeeping staff was excellent. good good coffee. just cant say enough about this hotel. will definetly come back. will recommend to other friends and family. everyone was so helpful. the nicest staff ever. only thing I seen that could use improvement is a better place for the dogs to go to the bathroom. not enough grassy area and one of those things that have doggie bags and trash can for people to pick up the waste. also a few benches around hotel to set outside. but overall it was fantastic. the best housekeeping staff ever.
The told me a price bit did not keep it L. It went from 79.00 a night to 110.00 a night not including taxes. When is I ask how much it is a night I expect an honest answer. I don't want to have to find out the price was jacked up after I checked out. I have a big project in the area and would have recommended a lot of people to this hotel but not with the way they price and don't tell you about it.
I enjoy staying at this hotel. Michelle at the front counter check in is just delightful. The breakfast is very good and the beds are very comfortable. They always make me fill very welcome when I stay there.
My Husband and I stayed overnight on our way to Florida. I made the reservation based on the location and price. We arrived in the middle of the afternoon, and found the room to be smaller than expected and very dark. There was a wall in front of the window blocking out most of the daylight. There were only two of us, so would have been very tight for anymore people in the room. The overall appearance of the hotel, was tired and in need of an update. I think wood framed walls went out in the sixties. The room was quiet, but I was glad to leave early. I cannot comment on the breakfast buffet, as we didn't stay long enough to eat there, and stopped for breakfast in IHOP. I really can't pinpoint what it was about the place exactly, but I was not comfortable there, and chose a different hotel on the way back. It didn't work for us, but the parking lot was full when we left, so lots of other people staying there.
This hotel was another name ....now it is a BW and completely re model and this hotel has real brew coffee and everything so wonderful. The staff was so helpful and nice when I arrived.i always ask for room to see my car from it.the front rooms is face the parking lot.
stopped on our way to Atlanta. Of the three BW in the area we were looking this had the best appeal and price. My wife and I were not disappointed. The staff was great and the room was a great deal for the price. Would stay here again if ever in the area and recommend it to others.
We booked this room on Hotels.com and got a really good deal. They did charge us a $15 fee for our pet which I think is stupid. The room was clean and the wifi worked great. The morning breakfast was your typical hotel breakfast with waffles and a couple of hot items. All in all it was a great stay for the price.
This hotel is above average for the price range. I was extremely satisfied during my stay. Highly recommend this hotel. The room and bathroom were immaculate. The bed was comfy. AC worked and wasn't noisy. Internet was easy to connect to.
I was a little hesitant making the reservation with Best western because the hotels are often run down and poorly run. the Kimball Tenn. location was better than i expected but it still has a long way to go.
Room compact with everything needed for basic stay. VERY comfortable bed. Great staff. Same desk clerk on duty when I checked out had also checked me in night before yet she was equally cheerful and helpful both evening and morning. VERY hard worker!!
My first trip to the Park City area, this was kind of last minute planned with just 2 weeks notice. We needed a simple hotel. This Best Western was perfect for us. Clean, convenient. Unexpected for the budget was the hot tub, sauna, and daily cookies. Special shout out to Joy at the front desk. This was our first family ski trip, and before coming I wanted a low-down on how close the hotel was to slopes, shuttles, ski rentals, etc. Joy was awesome - she saved us money by telling us where to get skis. We never did use the hotel ski shuttle (parking rental car at both Canyons and Deer Valley was easy; 3.8 miles to Canyon and 8.3 miles to DV). If you have questions before your trip, call and ask for her!
The facility has recently been remodeled and is in great condition. We had a single king room that was was somewhat small, but extremely inviting and tasteful. The bed was crisp and comfortable . Room and bathroom were clean. Everything in the room worked as designed and the WiFi was easy to attain and quick. The breakfast was eclectic and everything was fresh and/or warm. Staff was there cleaning and ensuring there were lots of choices. The night and morning desk clerks were polite and helpful. There are a few different restaurants and gas stations close. Definitely would stay here again.
This hotel was a very pleasant stop after a long drive. I was greeted warmly by the front desk clerk, and check in was quick and easy. The room was rather nice and there was a decent free breakfast the next morning. The staff were very friendly and quick to accommodate any requests my fellow breakfast diners made. I will definitely be staying here again in the future.
We were here for a wedding and I just found the staff to be rather sluggish and have a "not my job" attitude. There was a considerable amount of construction going on that left us with no elevator and only a second floor ice machine.
Completely remodeled you will think it is new. The evening clear was a pure joy to see after a day of long travel. Room was beautiful with microwave and refrigerator in room. Completely remodeled modern bathroom. Breakfast was above average for hotels of this type pretty of fresh fruit, yogurt, waffles, cereal and more. It's far enough from the bigger cities to fell comfortable at the wonderful place! Will definitely stop here again when through the area.
Our athletic team had an event in Chattanooga on 11/5-6. The only hotel that could accommodate our team with the special requests for room type was Best Western - Kimball, TN. From the first phone contact with Melissa, and follow ups for updated rooming lists, and added communication from the owner Dennis, we were not disappointed by their exceptional customer service. Our check in was as efficient as possible as we all arrived at BW at the same time (over 25 reservations) and the extra attention our group received from Kathy and Rebecca needs to be commended. They set up an early breakfast on Saturday so our athletes could have a nutritious breakfast before their competition that day and went the extra steps on Sunday after the time change to prepare special grab and go breakfast bags with a personal note of encouragement written on each of the 60 bags they prepared. It's not a luxurious hotel bey an means, but they don't see it that way. We were all very pleased with the comfortable beds and the hotel staff. Thank you
Hotel recently acquired from another chain. Excellent job so far updating facilities. Still in progress but not too annoying. Nice ,friendly staff. Had stayed at other hotels in the area, but I think this may one of the for it's price. Very enjoyable.
Passed through Kimball on our way to Chattanooga, Tennessee. The gal at the desk was very friendly and helpful. The room was really nice, and the bed was comfortable. Heard a lot of police sirens in the evening, and the police were at the hotel in the morning trying to figure out a dispute. They offered a free breakfast with eggs, sausage, waffles, etc. Pretty good. They were working on (or putting in) the elevator, so that wasn't working. Would stay here again if we're ever in the area.
We drive to/from Florida twice a year from Missouri and want to stop and spend the night half-way (i.e. Chattanouga, TN). We found Kimball to be a better alternative when coming through the Smokey Mtns.--no morning comuter traffic in Chattanouga and not having to drive over the mtns. at night. So glad they took the former Comfort Inn and renovated it into a Best Western property. Must better decor, they allow small pets and a better value and quality. Great change for the better!
Used Groupon for quick out of town trip and always skeptical of "great deal" but the hotel was nice, room was clean, staff helpful. Located in vicinity of many places to shop and eat. Great place to stop and rest on way to anywhere.
Stayed here while traveling. Room was clean and king bed was very comfortable. Room looked like it was recently updated. Elevator was being upgraded and did not work but we were ok with this since we only had to go up one flight of stairs. Would definitely stay here again.
Stayed here while traveling, nice rooms, friendly service. They are currently putting in or fixing the elevator but other than that everything was good. Will stay here again and would recommend this place for sure
This Best Western was AMAZING! The room was beautiful... all we needed was towel swans on the bed and we would of felt like a king and queen! Beds are always the defining element of whether a hotel was a good one or not and this one was an excellent one! The staff was very friendly and helpful! Thank you everyone for the wonderful stay!!
Polite, friendly, welcoming staff. Room was clean and fairly spacious, bedding and bed comfortable. Only down side was when I looked out window had view of window app 5-6 away in another wing of hotel. Keeping drape closed solved that problem. Decor and bathroom seemed recently renovated. Would definitely stay again when traveling through this area.
Th Best Western hotel we stayed in was under renovation but mostly complete and was very nice in condition and staff. The location happened to be great for what we were doing and in walking distance of several restaurants that we liked.
I try to stay at BW. When I found this hotel was now on the BW system I was very happy (just happened the day of my stay). Great staff, nice rooms, convenient to I24 and Chattanooga. Used a coupon and saved a bundle. Will stay here every time I visit southeastern Tennessee.
Had reservation for room on 6-19-2016 . Due to changes in route had to cancel. Called hotel at1 PM on 6-19-2016 which was within the cancellation period. When asked for cancellation number , was told it would be the same as the reservation number and she would take care of it. When I got home and check my Visa account it showed a no-show charge. I called the hotel again. I was then told the clerk must have gotten busy and forgot to cancel. She would correct. Later pulled up my hotel account it showed an adjustment on 6-24-2016 to remove the charge. However instead of a credit to my Visa there was a charge posted on 6-26-2106. Still not resolved.
