What a truly fabulous place to stay! The staff are so warm and friendly. Rooms are spacious and luxurious, the beds are cosy and comfortable. Meals in the restaurant are generous and delicious. Everything you could possibly need is within easy walking distance and for anything else a tram to the city is on the doorstep. Brice and his amazing team will treat you like one of the family in this home away from home.
We had a wonderful time relaxing in the spacious one bedroom spa apartment and especially enjoying a drink out on the balcony and taking in the view. The room was generous and well designed to include everything you need on a staycation to be close to Melbourne and the outer city. Bed was super comfy and the spa was great spot to soak and relax. Smooth check in with a professional and friendly vibe. Easy parking underneath and easy walk to local restaurants. Just found the TV system tricky to use.
My first visit was on 4 December and most recent on 25 and 26 December. Both times, the service was of a high standard, the rooms clean, attractive and very quiet and I enjoyed the stay. The location on Cotham Road Kew is convenient for trams, restaurants and shops, and I loved that I could park underneath the hotel and catch a lift almost to my room - safe and minimal walking with luggage. On my first stay I had a Queen room which was great for one night, and on my second stay I had a larger King Premium room which also gave me a little north-facing terrace to sit in the fresh air. There is 24 hour room service and the hotel has a great grill/restaurant and bar, which - unfortunately but understandably - were closed when I stayed Christmas and Boxing days. But I could order light meals to my room. I thought I'd lost my favourite ear rings in the room when I left and the man on duty spent a good 10 minutes scanning the rooms to try to find them, which I appreciated. I live on the Bellarine Peninsula and plan that this hotel will now be my go-to place to stay when I'm in Melbourne.
Really impressed with this well appointed hotel. Our room featured a seperate lounge and kitchenette. The big bathroom included a sensational spa. Great facilities, good mini bar but would benefit from pod coffee facilities. Having said that you are very close to a range of terrific Melbourne cafes. Great dining options on property, close-by or through Uber eats. Well worth the visit.
Hotel 115 includes a restaurant and a micro brewery. We've dined in the restaurant a number of times and always enjoy the food and the ambience. Our most recent visit was on New Year's Eve 2019 when we dined with friends; there were seven of us. The food was interesting and delicious. The restaurant is carpeted, has comfortable, upholstered chairs and banquettes, good lighting and no background music - quite perfect for our needs! We could converse without any hearing difficulties, enjoying each other's company during the entire evening. We, and most of the other diners, left between nine and ten o'clock; there were no noisy NYE celebrations. We were somewhat surprised that, after waiting for it, we had to request the menu for the main course and for the dessert ... and then the bill! Overall, we like this restaurant for the excellent cuisine, the surroundings, the peacefulness, and the comfortable furniture. We shall return!
We spent 2 nights in a ground floor room which was very quiet. Plenty of space; large bathroom and modern features made this stay very pleasant. We also dined in the attached restaurant and found the food and service to be very good although somewhat spoilt by the very loud crowd in the adjacent brew house.
After driving from Adelaide to our booked and paid hotel 'Arrow On Swanson' in the city we arrived to possibly the worst acommodation ever! With the city booked out, not only did Hotel 115 save us for the night with beautiful modern and clean accommodation, the staff were also friendly and polite and even gave us a GREAT recommendation of somewhere closer to the city we could stay. Highly recommend this hotel! Brilliant!
Hotel 115 is not only a great place to pop in for a drink, it also has a wonderful restaurant and very comfortable accommodation. The bar contains its own micro brewery for those who are into the trendy artisan beers. The menu is varied which makes it very difficult when choosing. The first night I had the duck paperdelle, it was packed with flavour and really filling. The second night I had the eye fillet, wow it was yummy and oh so tender. But the friendly service really needs the top mention - they're welcoming and nothing is too difficult.
We stayed overnight at this hotel due to it being just down the road from a meeting we were having the following day. The staff at Reception were very pleasant and helpful. The bed was very comfy, the room was nice and we loved the shower. Our room had a private balcony which was a really nice place to sit. We didn't go to the restaurant but that is something we plan to do the next time we visit. Had no issues with parking even though we arrived early and the staff were happy for us to leave the car there until after our meeting. All in all a really nice stay
Room was a good size and very quiet, bed was large and very comfortable, staff were friendly and responded quickly to requests. Parking was expensive and when I stayed there, the car park was almost empty. But as with many hotels, I often wonder if hotel designers ever stay in the hotels they design ? Some points from Hotel 115: Why is the cupboard above the tea making cabinet not set back like in a normal kitchen so you don't knock your head on the sharp steel door handles all the time ? Why is the ‘smart tv' not so smart and why do you need multiple button selections and have to trawl through menus to simply change channels ? Why aren't there simple channel numbers to select instead ? Why are the toilet roll holder and shower shelf located behind you and so difficult to reach ? Why isn't the shower shelf big enough to hold soap, shampoo and small nailbrush ? Why are the lights and powerpoints on different circuits, some of which are governed by a master switch. This means all the bright room lights came on when I just wanted a dim bedlight during the night. Why is there a gadget beside the bed (not a clock) which sounds an alarm which you didn't set and can't be turned off by pressing any of the six buttons on top ? I had to unplug it from the wall to silence it.
Did an overnight stay here, very unassuming. Rooms don't reflect the exterior thankfully. Rooms are well sized, clean comfortable and modern. Bar and restaurant are reasonably priced, one of the cheapest hotel breakfasts I have experienced that was edible! I would recommend this hotel for price and ammenities as well as location.
Visiting friends up the road - couldn't have been handier! Friendly staff, great bed, quiet, nice bathroom, and seemed good value. Room service was quick and efficient also! The room even had a lovely courtyard. Didnt use it, but may do next time!
The room was lovely, clean and quiet and a very big thank you to the 24hr reception staff member on duty last night to check us in on an unexpected late check in who was friendly, helpful and provided outstanding customer service.
Accommodation that was reasonably priced from a one night stay near family. Easy to book through Wotif. Valet parking for reasonable price. Fantastic dark room and great shower. Need larger dressing gowns.
Always stay here for work visits to Melbourne. Beds are extremely comfortable. No street noise, banging of doors or noise from other rooms. Rooms are very clean. Very good restaurant and bar on site. Breakfast buffet adequate but not outstanding.
Perfect place. Stayed there this week for a business stop over, great accomodation, friendly staff and brilliant boutique beer in a relaxed environment. Will definitely be trying to come back. Room had everything I needed for a good nights stay, they even had valet parking & had my car waiting for me upon checkout
I use this place a few times a year because it suits where I need to be. It is a great place, but I think it could just be so much more elevated and thus provide what feels like a five star experience. Don't get me wrong, I love it here, stay often and will continue to do so. I suppose I am just trying to be constructive, if anything. Staff and service is always brilliant and I have never had an issue. When I say little things, I mean tiny. I just like to think of what I would love to see that would make it more "wow". I think they should consider having a microwave in room. Given it's location, it is hard to find anything convenient and open at late nights and weekends, or even late weeknights for that matter- it is mostly a business/day precinct. But of course you could go to the supermarket and get a few essentials to get you through, so somewhere you could heat up something would be great. Especially if travelling with kids or alone. I have had breakfast twice, but as some other reviewers state, it is nothing special. Sure, the essentials are there, but it's just bland, and in quieter periods lack of turnover means whatever is cooked sort of stays until gone, so it's not always feeling freshest or hot enough. Another thing is, I had stayed here on Easter, and this is comparing my stay to another hotel I stayed at same time last year, where they left a chocolate bunny for all guests in room. This was a nice little surprise that made you feel special, and like they appreciate that you have to be there on a significant day (Whether religious or not). I would have like to see something like that done here- not because I care about the chocolate, but the touch would add to the guest experience of feeling wowed. I have had dinner at the restaurant once, but again, whilst great, it just doesn't feel elevated in relation to the high prices. There is also sometimes an odour in the hallways, not sure what this is, but it is unpleasant and more effort to curb this would be appreciated. Overall, a fantastic place and you will not be disappointed by any means- I am just providing my personal opinion in an open forum in case it assists both others and the management.
Great location, clean, quiet, cosy and comfortable. The service is on point, food and room service is top quality and generous. Can't go wrong with happy hour and a courtesy bus. The bed is worth mentioning in its own right. Super comfy and super clean. Highly recommended if you're staying in Melbourne.
I stayed here for 2 nights while I attended a training course for work. The staff were great and the hotel was comfortable and easy to access and navigate. I had dinner there on the first night. The food was nice but nothing special. I also had the buffet breakfast both days which was also nice but nothing special. The location is good but getting anywhere in peak times is very time consuming as traffic is quite heavy. My one issue with the hotel itself was there was a roaring noise at night which may have been someone's aircon but it kept me awake. At night the area the hotel is in is fairly quiet. There is public transport about 100m from the hotel.
Had a suite and it was worth every penny as one of us was very jetlagged so could take a nap while the other was in living room/kitchen area. There was a well equipped kitchen area with tea, instant coffee etc. There was a plunger type of coffee maker but no “real” coffee to go in it ... a bit cheap on hotel's part! Very comfy bed and pillows. Valet parking for car but a tram runs right outside hotel. Good restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast buffet was hot and cold, with eggs made to order - typical hotel breakfast but nothing exceptional - hence the 4star rating. Despite that, it was one of the best Best Weterns that we've ever used and would recommend it for that area of Melbourne.
Stayed here with family in a 2br apartment in Jan 2019. It was our second visit, the previous one being a few years ago. It wasn't cheap, though that's mainly because we booked at the last minute and there wasn't much else available. Not much has changed since our last stay. We had the very same room, if I recall correctly, and it didn't appear to have 'aged' significantly. We dined at the restaurant one night, and felt the fare and service to be pretty good. We thought about taking the breakfast buffet on our final morning, but opted not to, feeling it a bit overpriced for a family of four ($20/adult, $12/child, I believe). As our reservation was 3 nights, we were able to get a designated space next to the elevators in the downstairs car park for just $5/day per day, a better deal than the $15/day parking concierge service offered to those staying 2 nights or less.
i regularly use this hotel in order to support my daughter who lives in Melbourne at a local boarding school. I find the service excellent. I found the staff excellent. The rooms provide the area and facilities I need
I stay often for work. Good location, valet parking, quality restaurant and micro brewery on site (although time to change the menu). Room service and fantastic, friendly staff together with reasonable pricing make this a comfortable, secure place for a person travelling alone to stay.
This hotel exceeded all expectations. The rooms are as good if not better than the Hyatt or Sheraton city hotels. Haven't slept so well in years. Just needs a pool and it would be perfect. Great location in the heart of Melbourne's vibrant Kew suburb.
Arrived late at night following a long flight - checkin was quick and easy with very friendly staff. Room was functional, a good size, comfy bed. Breakfast was ok. The bar in the evenings was very good with a selection of nice wines by the glass. The hotel is well situated, close to transport into the city and also within walking distance to local restaurants. Overall functional and convenient.
This hotel is very quiet despite being located on a main road the guest rooms being well set back from the traffic. Great access to public transport into the Melbourne CBD. Building is new, but starting to show signs of wear and tear - the curtains no longer fitting the window and letting light in in the morning, and bathroom basin plug broken (Non existent). The common areas of the hotel are all in great shape.
A short overnight business trip to Vic, staying in Kew. The 115 hotel was outstanding. A nice quiet location, with great service and cleanliness. The room was top quality, with a comfortable bed, and the BEST SHOWER EVER!
Front desk staff helpful, but we had to carry or rather push our luggage to our rooms which is in another building. Room lovely but not everything is working in the bathroom. like the hot rails. Breakfast selection was not too bad....but some of the bread was musty...and tough. A tram line is nearby. Still a good hotel overall.
As a return guest, I was looking forward to my stay and as usual it did not disappoint. Very comfortable bed and pillows and the quiet location meant a great night sleep. The staff are very friendly which makes it feel homely and very welcoming. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were amazing. The osso bucco at lunch wad the best I've had. I also used the gym and it was clean and very handy as the weather was not ideal for a walk outside. I look forward to my next stay!
Well, didn't expect this. Normally I stay in the city but his time Booked what I thought was a very nondescript hotel in the suburbs that suited me for business meetings What I found is a excellent hotel I would thooulyemmend. Rooms are excellent with all the amenities a business traveler would want or require. Rooms are also away from the road meanin they are quiet, Comfy bed, well equipped bar and restaurant and will absolutely stay here again when need to be in this area
What a place, a hidden Jewel in the suburbs of Melbourne... This was my first of the many stays to come, what a place & service. Thanks a lot to the New Starter sorry didn't remember ur name. The Boss (Manager), Melanie and Robert for such a lovely stay. I would call you all the “A”. All the best and see you all soon Regards, RD
My trip was for business in the Kew area and I really enjoyed my stay - great facilities, the staff were helpful and I also enjoyed the meals. I couldn't ask for anymore and would highly recommend it for anyone looking to stay in this area
The hotel rooms and apartments are located away from Cotham Rd which ensures a peaceful stay. The rooms and apartments are well equipped with everything you need. This was my second stay and it was as good as the last. The valet parking is very prompt. If you have the time a walk around the neighbourhood is nice.
Loved the hotel, great value and we had a sharing apartment with our friends that gave us the ability to socialize together and then retreat to our own very private area, certainly recommend and shall be returning.
Stayed here for 4 days for work. The staff were lovely and very helpful. The Restaraunt is fantastic too, especially the steak and chocolate fondant! Breakfast has a large range which is great also. Beds very comfy and the rooms really spacious.
Upscale, comfortable hotel in a convenient location in Kew, right on the tram line. My room was spacious and very comfortable and well-appointed. WiFi was fast which I appreciated. Staff was friendly and helpful. No complaints!
We choose this hotel because it is convenient to family and friends. Staff are excellent and their interest in guests needs first class. Nothing is too much and there is no obvious 'on-sell' message when they are looking after you. Very conveniently located in Melbourne. Trams outside the front door. Valet parking. We find ground floor rooms excellent. Clean and beds are comfortable. Restaurant food is very good and breakfast offering (separate charge) is also very good. This will remain our preferred hotel in Melbourne for some time whether visiting family, friends, attending the football in the city of just shopping!
Stayed here a few times now for work. Rooms are fine, modern, comfy bed and quiet location which is great! The only issue is the pillows are all so hard and high! Room service food menu is great. There is a small gym located in the complex, its ok but not that great. The bar and restaurant downstairs are good and food is nice. The pick up and drop off area is great and large. There is a tram line running right past but im unsure where the station is as i didnt use it. The hotel layout is a little funny as the rooms are separate to the bar/restaurant/check in area and rooms can be a little dark but its nothing major that would stop me from staying again. Theres a couple of shops and a chemist over the road but not much else around walking distance.
Had a few issues here this time: 1) I took the room only because the company I work for had someone booked and she cancelled at the last moment. We were told there was no refund or credit despite the fact we book dozens, or possibly hundreds, of room nights a year at this hotel as well as having hired conferencing facilities. 2) I had practically no phone reception in my room G08 3) I ordered a room service meal. The food was good but wasn't as hot as I would expect 4) There was some issue with the TV which had a band at the bottom of the screen which was out of focus/sync with the rest of the screen. Very distracting The room itself was nice and clean and the staff good but when a very good customer of the hotel cannot get a refund / credit and a staff member has to use it last minute, I cannot feel better than lukewarm about the experience (especially in light of the issues above)
The staff welcome you as if you are part of the family. Nothing is too much trouble. The food in the restaurant is incredible quality. The rooms are comfortable and spacious and extremely welcoming. Check in and Check out is a breeze.
Great location for what we want to do in Melbourne. This hotel is our first choice stay as it is convenient, quiet, close to public transport and the staff are friendly, good fun, attentive and accommodating every single time we stay. We were a bit disappointed this time as the apartment was not as clean as all previous trips. There was also a curtain hanging off it's rail and the tv wouldn't work in one of the bedrooms. The boys ended up rebooting it. These were the disappointing aspects of an otherwise great stay at our favourite hotel. Hopefully, these standards will be back up to scratch next time as it is hard to pick up again if it gets too tired. I might add that nothing changes with the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff.
Excellent accommodation in Melbourne. My go to place when I visit Melbourne often for business. The Roos are like new and are absolutely immaculate. I wouldn't hesitate reccomending this property to both business and liesure guests
Friendly staff. Fully equipped kitchen in apartments, quiet neighborhood, easy access to public transportation. Complete entertainment system with Apple TV in rooms. Daily happy hour with locally brewed selection of beers. Simply the best for long or short stays.
I've stayed in both the apartment and the single rooms. The best thing about this hotel is definitely the amazing swordfish and the good wine selection. I find the rooms clean and the staff very friendly also. They could invest in better beds to make it 10/10 however this is the only recommendation.
Arrived just after midnight by taxi from the airport. Luckily I rang ahead to confirm my booking. Also brought my own supper as the restaurant was closed and there is no room service. I had a light takeaway salad. Put ion the hotel bathrobe and had a good sleep. It was eerily quiet and no movement anywhere. When I got up went to the gym fitted mainly with aerobic equipment & pulleys. Some free weights. Then quick shower before jogging of to my meeting in hawthorn. The tram 16 gets you there towards city too. Large rooms and comfy bed for $200. Can't complain. Easy check in & out.
I always stay here as the service & rooms are great & the breakfast is wonderful, try it & you will love the location . It's close to many of the wonderful places in Melbourne for the sports or the wonderful restaurants.
Hotel 115 was in perfect location for my needs - the room was clean and quiet. bed was super comfortable and everything was easy!! Breakfast in the morning was more the ample for my needs and great value.
Great hotel very clean and tidy and easy to get to city via tram. Staff were very friendly and very helpful. Bar and restaurant has a great atmosphere. Well priced and rooms were large and very comfortable.
Our second stay here whilst house was being repaired. Staff were very helpful during our stay with all requests met. Spacious and clean apartments/rooms with good amenities. Great location for transport and restaurants.
This place is very handy to the city - a direct tram right outside the door. Staff are welcoming and friendly. Room was spacious and light. Close to several shopping areas which you could walk to. Had dinner in the restaurant - food was just fine! Will definitely return to this hotel. Great value for money.
Terrific suburban hotel with easy access to the city and northern suburbs. Great rooms that are tastefully decorated and that come with all the facilities. Everything works from a terrific shower with descent water pressure to a TV with foxtel. Spotlessly clean a comfortable bed and a balcony if fresh air is desired. Good steak restaurant open most hours with beers on tap from the in-house brewery. The 2nd visit was equally as good as the first, great value compared to the overpriced equivalents in the city. Valet parking as well or use of the underground carpark. Great helpful staff !
As always, it is a quick and efficient check in. The rooms are modern, clean and set at a high standard. The bar is relaxed and comfortable with awesome food and their own beer from the visible micro brewery. My preferred place to stay
This was a great place to stay. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated. Staff were very helpful and nice. It was an easy tram ride to the city. Really enjoyed my stay here and will definitely stay again - thanks 115.
This hotel ticked all the boxes for me. Location is excellent with a tram right outside the door to get you to the city or to Port Melbourne or to Balwyn. The spa bath apartment is beautiful with a huge bathroom and a relaxing spa to soak away the tension of the day. The king size bed was extremely comfortable and the room was quiet and relaxing. I was able to cook if I wanted to which is important to me as well. There are many dining options in the area as it is close to Hawthorn, Balwyn, Richmond and Kew. The staff were on top of their game and nothing was too much trouble. Free underground parking makes this place stand out above the rest. I will most definitely be staying there during future trips to Melbourne.
Loved my time there. Handy location with trams at the front door, and food options also close by. Very helpful and friendly staff. You can purchase the transport cards at reception and they helped me navigate the trams to where I wanted to go. They also have discount cards for all the main attractions.
Early check in and late checkout and great local area advice by the friendly and helpful staff. I received a oom upgrade to a modern, spacious room. It has a great gym, good food and close to other good restaurants. Will definitely stay again!
I stayed here for a week long leadership course, the team at 115 were always so friendly and helpful and I found them to be particularly accommodating towards a vegan diet. Cant talk highly enough of the team I had contact with.
If you don't want to be right in the city this hotel is ideal. Great rooms, very clean, modern, valet car parking on site and nice restaurant and brew house. All you need but not in the hustle and bustle of the city. Short walk to Kew great breakfast place if you don't want to eat at hotel.Handy for shopping in Camberwell and Glenferrie Road. Not to far either to Chadstone Shopping Centre or City.
We stayed for one night as we had a party in Camberwell. There was a king in the main room and 2 singles in a separate room which was very handy as we had a babysitter (arranged privately). The room (141) would have accommodated the 2 singles in with the king so there was a lot of space. The only thing we missed was a pool - we have stayed in Best Western hotels previously and have been able to swim. Friendly staff, only wish the waiter hadn't called us country bumpkins & treated us as such. Apart from this one staff member we couldn't fault the service.
Over the last 25 years I have traveled throughout Europe, the States and Australia for business purposes, I found that at this hotel Management staff lacked any skills in hospitality and care. There was an air of superiority that is most unnecessary in his position as a hotel manager and something that is not usually displayed in hotels of quality. All guest should be treated with warmth, respect and equality. The manager created an unhealthy air in the hotel reception rather then a welcoming environment. Not what you want after a long day at work.....
Dropping our daughter off for her first week at Swinbourne Uni and we're booked a two bedroom suite here. Friendly staff greeted us on arrival, room was clean and had everything we needed. Very close to the Uni and tram ran straight past the door to go anywhere we wanted. Really quiet so great for sleeping in. We went to the restaraunt in the hotel for two nights and it was great. Once again the staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome.

I was looking for serviced apartment for short stay (45 days) and I am glad I selected this property. Ideal location, Tram Stop is just outside and tram goes to CBD (and other parts of Melbourne). Glenferrie road road have loads of place to eat, supermarkets and other services. Rooms were big, clean and serviced daily. Staff was very friendly, helpful and prompt even at late hours. Kitchen and other equipment were in good condition. Will highly recommend this place

Hi Junaid375, Thank you for staying with us and taking the time to review our property. I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed your time with us and appreciate you recommending our property to future guests.
I booked a hotel and dinner and a movie at Hoyts, Victoria Gardens for my partner and I's 5th anniversary. The room I booked was a couple of hundred metres from both the cinema and the restaurant, which, with my use of a mobility aid made it walkable, however, the hotel I had booked (Quest Abbotsford) had a couple in our room that were there due to an insurance claim and wouldn't leave, resulting in us being moved. The hotel we were moved to was kilometres away. Not quite the convenient evening I had in mind. Bye-bye walking/convenience, hello parking searching and paying! Re-booking dinner was a disaster, as it was a Saturday night in an unknown suburb and a lot of things were booked out, especially when you're only told that morning and really booking at the last minute! The room itself was big enough for my mobility aid but even in daylight or with all the lights on it was so so dark. The TV had the capability to be used as a computer which was a nice touch, (as we now had to search for somewhere to eat), but there was no mouse and it wasn't near anywhere to sit and the bed was too far; as a TV this is ok, but as a computer everything was so small you couldn't read anything, and the lack of a mouse made it very hard to use. It's my most common complaint and biggest pet hate and this hotel is guilty of it; they were no surfaces in the bathroom! For the thousandth time, PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES HAVE THINGS TOO! This wasn't only a problem when you're showering or changing but at night where can you put face wipes and a toothbrush/paste etc. The next morning I had to sit on the floor in front of the mirror at the bottom of the bed to do my makeup. Despite me moving a lamp right beside me, there was such poor light, I was worried I might look like a clown. It isn't ok to have such a lack of surface space, that guests must use the floor. Due to the entire experience, (not a very pleasant one), I give this hotel a 2/5 and I think that's probably being generous.

Hi Georgia O, I'm sorry that QUEST ABBOTSFORD decided to inconvenience you by canceling your reservation and feel that perhaps at least part of this review should have been posted on their profile. Unfortunately I don't think we were ever going to live up to your expectations as you didn't want to be staying at our property in the first place. The 'Access' room bathrooms at our property are more designed for guests that are confined to Wheelchairs and require the extra room to move around in the bathrooms as opposed to having additional bench space. Perhaps if you stayed again you would be more comfortable in one of our Premier King rooms or One Bedroom Apartments, which are still quite spacious allowing you to use your mobility aid in the room and have ample bench space in the bathrooms. I'm glad to hear you liked the technology component of the room and perhaps we need to look at placing further instructions in the room on how to operate the trackpad, which is used instead of a mouse. Thank you so much for staying with us and taking the time to review our property.
Recently had our annual Christmas party at hotel 115 Kew BW collection. This Best Western itself it's not like the rest. It truly is a class above and our overnight stay at the property was devine. So easy to give this place a reccomendation and 5 star review.

Can recommend this hotel, without any hesitations at all. Clean, modern, comfortable, great location, wonderful staff, valet parking...... Wanting to stay close to Glenferrie Private Hospital, we couldn't have been happier with the choice we made. We were upgraded into a king room which was spacious. Great shower, comfy bed and the restaurant was affordable with great food.

lovely clean comfortable motel with the best shower ever ...lovely staff ...yummy food ...great location ...highly recommend this motel ....we go for medical appointments so this is such a great location for us and can go into the city very easy from here.

Hi Anne M, Thank you for staying with us and taking the time to review our property. Its wonderful to hear that you felt comfortable and enjoyed the food from the 115 Grill and Brewhouse. Looking forward to seeing you next time your in Kew.
It was the hotel's location that suited me while working in the area, but then I realised the tram stop was just outside and there were great places to eat nearby too. My room was so quiet which was ideal, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. I paid extra for the valet parking and the staff were always available and quick to get my car for me. I will be very happy to stay here again.
Great location for those that don't want to be stuck in the city centre but not too far away either. The rooms are nice and I do recommend spending little bit extra to stay in the premier king room. Its a nice peaceful area and the shops are not too far away to enjoy all sorts of food, coffee or even a movie. The bathrooms are nice and the shower is a great size. My only gripe is that they chose those silly rain shower heads which are horrible (seems like it was the trend at some time but....) The water pressure is not good and if you just want to wash your body you have to almost bend awkwardly which can be very uncomfortable. Please change this and my review will be almost perfect. One more suggestion would be to give some discounted parking onsite as this would be great when you can't find parking on the street.
Hi, our family had gone home to melbourne for a family bereavement. The hotel staff in particular the one gentleman who was absolutely amazing was Paul at the front desk (hope i got your name right with everything going on i might have made a mistake!!). We were not sure how many days we were staying nor were we sure what was going on. He was spectacular in making us feel comfortable and did not have to stress about accommodation. He worked out a parking deal for us,he helped my friend who flew in from overseas get into her room early from an early arrival, helped her get a taxi and served her a coffee while she was waiting! Words cannot express how thankful we are for the service we got at the hotel. Rooms are super clean and we couldnt have been more comfortable. Thank you so much .
time your arrival for the happy hour which starts at 4 pm daily. excellent beers for $5 per pint. the happy hour also apples to an excellent house sauvignon blanc. .you must read the quotes on beer from the famous - unfortunately not available on a poster to take away - now there is a business opportunity!
I travelled to Melbourne on business. Luckily, on concluding the work, I had 2 days to see some of what Melbourne has to offer. The hotel was great, people friendly and food very tasty. Melbourne is a fabulous city and I can highly recommend it as destination.
We stayed in a one bedroom apartment which was huge. The room was clean, kitchen well set out with everything that you could need. We were only staying one night, but, if you needed somewhere to stay with self-catering, this is perfect. There was a large TV in the lounge and in the bedroom. The beds were comfy. The bathroom was massive with a deep, free standing spa bath. If you are feeling brave, there was also a set of bathroom scales to try out! The staff were all friendly.
We stayed for the grand final. We chose hotel 115 for its 24 hour desk service ( as our plane arrived close to 11pm and we needed room access). Another hotel that we looked at had access however charged for after hours service! So we were very happy to have a no fuss check in. We also chose it because of the nearby tram services that made travel around Melbourne easy. Room was clean, the bed was comfy and the shower was great. The breakfast was good and staff were helpful.
We come here often. Great cocktails, unbeatable prices at happy hour, friendly venue, staff are very polite, the new manager is very polite, service has incredibly improved. A really nice and affordable place, highly suggested to staying if you come in town.
A Clean room and excellent bathroom and shower. Wifi is WPA based so no annoying portals and gave us 20Mbit/s whenever i checked. The Ethernet Port on the desk gave around 40Mbit/s on one test i did. TV is supplied via a Mac Mini however the remote they supplied (with a big Sunwave logo) was loud and annoying with no key repeat which made watching TV a little more frustrating than it should be. Some channels also paused regularly and Fox8 was missing. Mac has VLC and a USB port on the table for your own content. There's also HDMI & VGA port on the table for your own device. It lacked Flash & Sliverlight so ABC iView and Netflix didn't work but i didn't try very hard to work around it. The restaurant food and room service are fast and excellent. Guest laundry has 3 washers & dryers. $4 for a wash, $2/20min for drying. The only parking is either street parking overnight or $15/night for valet parking - they had our car back within 5mins when we asked.
Nice hotel close to shopping. Comfortable and clean. Amenities daily. Nice warm showers. Would recommend. Used the gym facilities, a good range of weights & machines to use. Restaurant great. Staff very friendly and accommodating
I recently stayed here after being discharged from hospital following surgery. The staff was most helpful - changing rooms to something more suitable, providing ice packs and finding a vase for flowers that I received whilst there. The restaurant offers great meals and the fact that it was onsite was a blessing when I was unable to move far. Thank you kindly for going out of your way to assist.
Comfy rooms, friendly staff, good location if you need to be in Kew. The restaurant is also a brewery so a nicer place to eat than a lot of best western type hotels. Look out for deals as I booked what seemed like a good deal and then checked closer to the date and found a cheaper weekend rate so swapped down.
The rooms are fresh and clean, the service efficient and everything is still quite new. I travel here regularly for business and its my preferred place to stay in Melbourne, it offers great value also for what is on offer compared with other similar hotels.
I've stayed here the most when on business in Melbourne. It is such a lovely hotel and the restaurant is amazing-the food is divine! It's in a great location too with some little shops within walking distance. Definitely recommended if you need to stay in the surrounding suburbs such as Canterbury etc.
We stayed 3 nights in a 2 bedroom family suite. It was perfect for our family of 3 (2 adults and a toddler), much more spacious then I was expecting. It was great to be able to put my toddler to sleep in a separate room without having to pay for an apartment to have a separate room for her. The beds and pillows are extremely comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. I mentioned my mum was staying with us as well in a separate room so was hoping our rooms could be near by, they upgraded her so she could be near us which was very thoughtful and helpful. Our room was next to the lift and I was concerned after hearing reviews about the noise but I never heard the lift once, so was never an issue. I could hear the trams more then any other noise in the hotel. We used the valet parking and while I often find valet parking inconvenient, the experience here was great, we had our car ready as soon as we asked for it to be available. We ate at the restaurant downstairs the first night. The food was good and the service was outstanding. We got a window seat and my daughter was in awe of watching all the trams go past. The tram out the front goes into the city so was very convenient. My only issue, and really my own fault for not looking into it before booking, was that as a family room I just assumed there would be a bath. There is only a shower and as my daughter refuses to have a shower we had an issue there. Luckily we have family living nearby who we were visiting so asked to use their bath for our daughter! Overall would highly recommend and hope to stay there again when visiting.
It was a great home away from home. The rooms are clean and the bed and pillows were comfortable. The staff are very helpful and accomodating. The rooms are spacious with the usual necessities. Bathroom amenities are adequate and fluffy towels, with great water pressure. I would stay there again!
The hotel presents as an accommodation for short business or pleasure stays. The room was very presentable, clean and the free wifi was an added bonus. The PC integration in the room is also very handy for business organising. The bar atmosphere was relaxed with the only downfall was the quality of the meals at the restaurant. Overall a pleasant stay.
Stay regularly here on business trips. Friendly welcoming staff, restaurant, micro-brewery serving own beers, well appointed rooms. Good location for accessing main link roads of Melbourne. Valet parking only, but adequate for visitors. Great value, highly recommend.
Great hotel with wonderful beds large rooms, staff very helpful and the breakfast is tops.very close to the MCG and many great restaurants to suit most tastes. You will enjoy. It is good value for money and it has its own micro brewery.
A pleasant experience from start to finish. The hotel is conveniently located and presents well from the moment you enter the reception area. Very friendly staff throughout the hotel. Excellent rooms. Great Chinese restaurant. We will be back when next in Melbourne.
I have stayed in this hotel twice in the last month and both times i was impressed. The staff are very helpful, courteous and friendly, the hotel rooms are of a good standard, very clean, comfortable beds, tasteful design, modern bathrooms with all amenities you would expect, including free wi-fi. We ate in the restaurant for dinner one night and had the most delicious meal (slow cooked beef cheeks with mash and vegetables) plus we also had cooked breakfast each morning which was of very good standard with lots of choice. The only thing i would suggest is that it would be nice to be offered an espresso coffee at breakfast rather than a 'make your own' from a coffee machine. This is the perfect hotel for shopping weekend in Melbourne - it is nearby all the main strips, plus it is the perfect hotel for a business trip over this side of the city. I highly recommend it. TIP: Ask for a room away from the elevator - both times my room was far away from the elevator but i did note some rooms near the elevator which may have noise issues
This hotel provided an excellent stay - comfy/clean rooms, friendly service, and their very own microbrewery! The only tiny thing that let down an otherwise exceptional stay was being charged $4 for bottles of water. I'm so used to hotels providing free water and charging for everything else in the mini-bar that I didn't even consider that they'd charge for the water. I think a "premium" hotel can afford to provide guests with water. (Maybe I should have just had one less beer at the microbrewery to pay for the waters...) However, that's a minor flaw compared with everything else. Staff were welcoming on arrival, the room was spacious, clean and most importantly, quiet! It was conveniently located next to a tram stop and not too far from the city. I'd definitely recommend this place for leisure or business.
I stay here for business quite often. The hotel is comfortable and classy. Rooms rooms, relaxing beds and great shower pressure, all the ingredients for a great stay. Valet parking is easy to use, and the front desk staff are friendly.
Spent three nights in this hotel. Good sized room and convenient for workshops. Nice restaurant and bar. Convenient tram service to the city and very good restaurants around. Room has all basic amenities with mini bar. Rain shower and spacious bathroom. Very comfortable bedding. Only downside faulty design of shower which makes whole bathroom wet.
Well appointed and very convenient to Public Transport. Rooms were very good and staff very obliging. The Hotel has a good restaurant and bar that are relaxing yet private. The hotel is easy to access by public Transport in that you can catch a Skybus from Melbourne Airport to Southern Cross Station and then a 109 Tram from the South end of Southern Cross Station out to the hotel, departing the Tram at Glenferrie Road. Much cheaper than Taxi.
Was sceptical before arriving. She didn't want Best Western, I needed convenience. Great rooms. Modern and comfortable. Forget your motel type place, This Is classic 4 star but very stylish. Excellent service and next to the tramline. You won't need more. In house craft brewery gives you chance to savour local brew. Very happy stay. Thanks to the excellent team and management.
Was booked for me..but was easy efficient and soooooo comfortable I wanted to tske the bed home I would stay again and definitely recommend it to friends and family It was simply beautiful Thanks Best Western
I stay here regularly for business, and the stay is always pleasant. I do wonder why they took my bottled water out of the mini bar and left it on the bench, but otherwise a flawless stay. Car parking a breeze and convenient.
The 115 is always lovely to stay at with friendly staff, great customer service, clean rooms and prompt attention to every little thing. The gym at this hotel is fantastic and never crowded, and it's convenient to have trams right outside the door....and valet parking. I stayed in 203 for 5 nights and the shower (while fantastic) leaks rather badly into the general bathroom area. This hotel room is smallish but never feels cramped. I travel to Melbourne fairly regularly and choose to stay at the 115 whenever possible.
I stayed here with my two daughters as it was close to the gymnastics facility my daughter was competing at. The hotel was very modern with friendly staff. A great little bar with happy hour. Awesome restuarant with delicious meals. The beds were so comfortable that I ended up purchasing one through the hotel, so I could sleep on one every night!! Would recommend this hotel to everyone.
Very similar to my last stay, clean rooms, friendly staff and great service. The location is good in terms of public transport and quiet neighborhood. The internet speed is very good with no disconnection.
We booked on-line for our 5th stay here to visit elderly relatives in a nearby suburb, 200 km from our home. When illness then struck the family we tried to cancel, only to be informed the booking was not able to be cancelled. After querying this and eventually being directed to the fine print (!) we decided to maintain the booking. On arrival we found we had been given a room which was not to the previous standards and was as far from reception etc. as possible for the same price paid previously. As the hotel was certainly nowhere near full, we could only assume we had been punished for querying the non-cancellation policy. We feel very reluctant to return.
Great hotel in a great location. Short walk to high street for shops & tram to the city. Great little licensed cafe around the corner for breakfast lunch and dinner. Extremely comfortable rooms with big bathroom. The hotel restaurant had very nice food and local craft beers.
This was the second time that we have stayed at this hotel. The rooms are large, with very comfortable beds, rain shower, large bathroom, all very tastefully furnished. The reception staff are very friendly, and efficient. They will valet park your car for a reasonable rate as well. The location is good for us, and you can catch a tram across the road to the city. Great hotel, which you can get for a good price if you look for the specials. The hotel is extremely quiet, and the only noise we heard was an airliner flying overhead at some stage in the night. If you want a light meal, and don't want to go to the hotel restaurant, there is an excellent fish and chip shop just up the road.
Overnight stay with well appointed and very clean room. Quality of service and well presented food for both dinner and breakfast. The staff were respectful, friendly and knowledgeable particularly the young people serving in the restaurant .A lovely display of Clivias at drive in entrance.
We enjoyed the location which was a change from staying in downtown Melbourne. It was walking distance to the Glenferrie shopping district and convenient to public transportation. The room was quiet and the gym was larger with many more options than the prior downtown hotel. It was nice to have the room to spread out in this room.
I was very happy with the room set up (as I was working during my stay) and available internet and room facilities. The lobby environment is very friendly and comforting. I would stay there again next time too.
I was so impressed on many levels with my stay here. The room was spacious, modern and well supplied/replenished with everyday needs. The staff were so friendly and accommodating - nothing was too much trouble. I was attending a conference here for a few days so also experienced the hotel's breakfasts, morning teas, lunches, afternoon teas and dinners - all the meals were fresh, healthy and delicious. The conference facilities were brilliant, and having everything in the one place made it the best conference/training venue I've been to. The gym was fitted out with a range of machines/weights which was great. It was also refreshing to have a hotel that offered free wi-fi for the entire stay.
Hotel room was good, breakfast was good. service was excellent. The staff was good too and helped answering my questions satisfactorily. Costwise it was little above the avg rate but no complaints as i enjoyed the stay there 40 mins away from CBD via tram.
You just have to try some of the in-house Brews, the Dark Ale is delicious. It washes down those very tasty Oysters with ease..... The staff are very attentive and cheerful. The service overall is wonderful. Very clean and tidy location.
On our recent trip to visit family we stayed at the Best Western Premier 115 Kew. I had a feeling when I rang to book that this was going to be good. I spoke to a lovely guy that gave me a lovely price!-don't just book online, sometimes there are better deals person to person. Our stay was for 6 nights and I could not fault a thing! Our room was a Premier King-beautifully finished, modern, clean and with a balcony which caught the sun of a morning. The staff were all very charming and the undercover parking essential as we didn't want to drive everywhere and we were conveniently on a Tram stop to the City-bonus! The other bonus is the Brewery attached to the Hotel. They brew their own and the bar has a cosy, friendly atmosphere and the free wi-fi from the Hotel reaches to here also. I highly recommend the food too - we ordered room service a couple of times and it was very delicious. All in all, I can't fault this place and I highly recommend it to visitors that don't need to stay in Melbourne CBD. We'll be staying there next time we are down!
It felt like I was away on a working holiday, the experience made the balance. The hotel was clean, staff friendly and customer service focused. Happy to call a taxi when one was needed and also provide information on local shopping facilities. Restaurant staff were attentive and the food fresh and good sized servings. I look forward to staying at the Hotel again on my next business trip to Melbourne.
I stay here quite regularly and they have very comfortable rooms, amazingly comfortable beds and friendly staff 24 hours a day. Nothing seems to be a problem for them. Rooms are good sizes, bathrooms well appointed and showers nice and hot with good water pressure. Public transport right out the front.
Convenient and very good for Business, great facilities and Restaurant/Bar A1. Been staying here regularly for 2 years and never let me down. Location very handy, close to the city although not stuck in the hustle downtown.
I stayed here recently with my husband & daughter in a family room. The rooms were quiet & comfortable & the bathroom was bigger than expected. The restaurant was good for dinner with fantastic desserts. We chose to breakfast at one of the cafes across the road. The hotel is on the route of tram 109 & so it was very handy to visit the city, Boxhill shopping centre & Victoria Gardens shopping centre.
I don't normally stay in Best Westerns, but this was a good option for me as I need the location. But i must say it was pretty good. The bed was very comfortable. The finishings in the room were pretty good also. Its relatively new and its holding up ok, but I suspect in a few years time this will tire quickly. The staff at the front desk were all very helpful and friendly. The only negatives are that the shower, whilst really powerful, seems to leak a little water. Not a big deal, but just a design fault I'd say. The only other issue is that these types of newish builds just aren't insulated all that well. If you are like me and don't want the heating/air running through the night then you will most likely see the room temp drop dramatically in the night (i stayed in June). Nothing that a blanket doesn't sort out. Other than that, this is a great option for this area. Recommend.
Overall we were happy with the Hotel. It is well priced for Melbourne and the hotel is fairly new ( 2 years ) which means the rooms were nice and Modern. There is an excellent Bar / Grill which is well priced. The Breakfast is good value as you don't get many full buffet breakfasts for $20 in a hotel. The staff are friendly We were a little disappointed with the room we were allocated as the hotel was not full being a long weekend but the desk clerk decided to allocate us a lower level room which seemed a little small and dark. I would suggest you try for a third floor room nearer the sun! Room maintenance was sloppy. e.g There were no teaspoons and they didn't replenish the coffee from day to day. The bed seems to be half made when we got back with the cover left on the sofa. Also, room service food was left in the lobby all day over a 24hr period. The Management are letting the hotel down
I am a regular guest and have never been disappointed. All the staff know me and greet every time I arrive, and every time i am in the Foyer. The location is convenient with good access to the city most places i need to travel to.
i stay here on a regular basis. the staff are excellent and go out of their way to be helpful. great location, and great place to stay. the 4.00pm happy hour in the lounge bar is a great bonus. the onsite boutique brewery produces fantastic beers.
I have only ever stayed at the 'standard' Best Western hotel, but this Premier hotel wasoutstanding and a very pleasant surprise. This hotel is well located in the heart of Kew and close to amenities. Modern room with great facilities, great shower. This is the only spot to stay if in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. The staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Great menu in the restaurant and staff were very attentive. Very happy to stay here again.
Excellent - very happy. I would definitely recommend to family, friends, work colleges. The room was very clean and the King Size bed was perfect. The pillow was perfect and location from work office was 5 mins away.
clean rooms, comfortable bed, good reading material - what more could a business person want? The aircon worked a treat, the internet was fast, the shower strong and hot, the lights bright enough to actually see. As I said, what more could you want?
I stay at the Best Western quite regularly. The hotel is well located not too far from the city and within easy walking distance to the many restaurants of Kew. The rooms are modern and tastefully decorated but do feel a little dark at times.t When daylight disappears however the rooms have a warm and cosy feel to them. They are of a good size and well equipped but the real standout is the quality of the bed. I travel for work a reasonable amount but have yet to find a more comfortable bed than at this hotel. The company prides itself on its beds and even offers patrons the opportunity to purchase directly from the manufacturer via the hotel! The hotel has its own micro brewery and a buzzing bar during happy hour. The attached Restaurant and Grill is also of a very good standard so I often don't venture out at all when Im here! The last time I stayed I was upgraded to one of the establishments apartments whoich would be ideal for those looking for longer accommodation. It included a separate sitting room and kitchenette, large bedroom and huge bathroon and was really very comfortable. The staff are always very helpful and I would recommend this hotel to those travelling for business or those travelling for leisure who are looikng for something just outside rather than directly in the city centre.
Excellent location, with the tram to the city centre and St Kilda Road at your door. Convenient to restaurants, take-aways, milk-bars. There is a reasonably priced restaurant at the hotel and there is a bar which appeared to be very popular with local business men/women. The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was a good size and the shower had good water pressure. Although located on a main road, with the rooms at the back facing on to side streets, it was quiet with comfortable beds. It appears to be more of a place for business travellers, but we needed somewhere to stay for 3 nights, at the last minute so it was fine, but more suitable for business and not so much for families. Negatives: The corridor leading to the room was long and dark. The receptionists were not as welcoming as I would have liked, with no help offered for taking my bags to the room and when I asked I was told that there was no concierge to help. I felt that one of them could have offered to help, as there were 3 males at the reception desk at the time and they didn't seem to mind seeing me struggle to take my cases to the room.
Price, service and amenities - this is one of the best hotels I have stayed in on a business trip. Welcoming environment, Friendly service, Quality dining, Modern decor and the most Comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in. Highly recommended!
Good example of where preconceptions lead you wrong. I think of Best Western as a lower end, basic accommodation chain and had fairly low expectations when booking here....I was wrong. This hotel is good. Location is very good, well serviced by public transport and shops and not that far from the CBD. The room was an excellent size, well furnished, extremely well maintained, clean, quiet and I slept really well. The reception staff are extremely helpful. The brewery & bar bistro is good and reasonably priced. The only niggle is that car parking is 100% valet at cost and the entrance is obscure, a bit hidden away off a side street...OK when you know it but tedious 1st time in. Rates were good, I paid not a lot over A$150 / night. If you have a need to stay in the east of Melbourne this place should be on your list
This Hotel is a gem, it is only 8KM's from the City and neasy to get to by Tram, as it is right by the door. The Hotel itself is stunning and you will pay a heap less than staying in the City, it also has a great Restaraunt.
From the internet home page of the hotel we got the impression of a new and modern hotel. But in reality there is just a modern building where you find the front desk for check-in and the restaurant. The rooms are in the rear building. The room was somewhat run down. Overpriced.
The rooms very great: clean, well appointed and stylish. Had dinner in their restaurant which had a varied and interesting menu. Food was delicious along with their own beer. Staff were attentive and professional. Within 24 hours was recommending it to someone who wanted a place to stay in the area. Highly recommend
This is one of best hotels in Melbourne. Based on what you pay and what you get, you cannot beat it. Rooms are clean and tidy. Beds are comfy. Restaurant has great food, also good beer. Bathroom has a real good shower with good pressure. Staff are always friendly and cheerful.
I had the privilege of staying at Hotel 115 for 4 nights. Every staff member helpful and friendly, and my room was kept immaculate by the friendly house keeping team. The restaurant excelled with every meal, from the wait staff to the kitchen staff; from the tables service to the food service, that was not only visually exciting, it was salubrious. Thank you so much for the wonderful stay. Caroline Leach Room 140
Kew is a lovely suburb of Melbourne, feels like a small village of sorts. Lots of local shops etc but there is a team almost right outside the hotel to take you right to the centre of Melbourne in 30 minutes. The room we were in was lovely and clean. No complaints. Wifi was free and no problems with it. The TV in our room had Netflix on it along with Internet access and films you could buy.
Stayed here for a night to attend a friends 50th. Classy 4 star property in Kew (Close to Hawthorne and Camberwell) just 15 minutes from the Melbourne CBD. Loved the 24 hour check in and valet parking. Nice little cafe just up around the corner (CRU) for coffee and breakfast. Nice quiet spot well away from the city lights and noise. Well priced compared to the CBD.
New and fresh best describes this hotel. Modern furnishing, wonderful bed and a magnificent rain style shower. In room dining was good and the selection suited to most tastes. Breakfast was hot, full of flavour and fresh. Valet parking was efficient, although the $15.00 fee seems excessive for what it is. Some rooms are an awful long way from reception, and the trek is "interesting". Overall a good place to stay, but avoid the Lower Ground rooms if possible.
This hotel has recently been refurbished and it is exceptional in every way. The tram stops right outside the door. Every staff member I encountered said hello and smiled, whether it was in reception, the dining room, bar, or simply passing them in the corridors. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and have everything you need, including the best shower heads I have found in any hotel. (The women with long hair will understand the importance of this comment). Our room even had a balcony that we could use. If I had one complaint it would be that the neighbours doors are loud if not shut quietly. It is the only noise we heard though.
Good location on tram line, close to our family in Melbourne. Rooms nice with comfortable bed. Bar/Restaurant, very good. City price for suburban motel. House keeping let it all down. Balcony never cleaned, dusty shelves and chair legs.Rubbish not removed from room. Cigarette butts from room above dropped daily onto our balcony daily.
A surprise packet and not the kind of hotel that would come to mind when thinking of a Best Western. I normally don't review hotels because most are as expected but this one shocked me. Well priced and very comfortable, the hotel has all the conveniences one would expect from a significantly higher priced hotel. Very impressed and would not look past this hotel for future trips to Kew.
Stayed here for 3 nights room 202 what a surprise Room was what you would expect in a 5 star city hotel and the bathroom was by city standards very large , beautifully appointed Hotel had every luxury ,spotlessly clean on site parking and 2 minutes to great transport to the city This will be my hotel of choice when next visiting Melbourne, loved it
We, unusually decided, to stay away from the city and enjoy a bit of the nice older parts of Melbourne and chose this one in Kew. And it was a brilliant choice indeed! The location is on Cotham Road in Kew, which is conveniently located for most business activities for East Melbourne. Well connected by trams but has plenty of road-side parking in the side lanes, but only on the weekends. There is valet parking available otherwise. The apartments are well appointed with high-quality fixtures and beddings. Buffet breakfast was well priced but the coffee machine was a disappointment. Moreover, when I ordered a "proper" cappuccino, that was no better than the machine coffee either! I suppose it must be the milk they use that is at fault. Service by attendants was excellent. We even had to change the booking date due to personal reasons and they helped us change it without penalty! I could stay here again, anytime!
I stayed overnight at this hotel whilst on a business trip to Box Hill. The hotel was located 15 min drive away in a nice little suburb. Check in was easy and the premium room I got was clean, tidy and so spacious. Came complete with a kitchenette and open plan dining and lounge area, 2 balconies, spacious bathroom and comfortable bed. I would definitely return here and stay with family. A few restaurants outside and some cafes, delis, etc. but otherwise not much to do which was fine for. All day and night Wi-Fi access which was perfect for me. The staff were really great. I did a late check in and hadn't planned for breakfast the next day so I called reception and asked for breakfast to be sent up as soon as possible so I could get ready and check out on time. The food arrived within 20 mins (but they got my order a bit wrong). All in all - was a great stay.
I was booked in here by my work & pleasantly surprised at the 5 star quality of the room, restaurant & bar. I Travel a lot & completely recommend! Well located in Kew, not too far to restaurants etc but to be honest the restaurant here is great! Good attentive staff , professional & 5 star food.
This hotel was convenient for getting into the city and very quiet. Parking was either by valet for $15 per night, or on the street, which has some limitations on certain days. The staff did offer me free valet parking, once they realized I was a Best Western Rewards Club member. The room was newly remodeled and all rooms are off of the main street of Cotham making them pretty quiet. The office building above reception did look directly into the rooms, which was a bit of a surprise in the morning when we opened the curtains, but sheers were fine for privacy. All in all, the hotel was just right for us, staying one night on a busy summer weekend.
Being out of the city, was expecting a mediocre hotel - but was pleasantly surprised. The room was clean and comfortable. There were a range of fresh magazines on the table and the staff were friendly. Will be going back next week! It can be a bit of a walk from the high street but worth it compared to other alternatives in Kew!
I have stayed here a couple times whilst travelling for work and it has been clean and comfortable. I recommend taking a short walk down the road to have breakfast as the breakfast served within the hotel is nothing to rave home about. It is serviced with a gym which is small, but has the necessities to have a good work out.
CBD was booked due to Australian Open Tennis, so I had to look further out, and this was great. CBD-quality hotel, not like a motel. 30 mins on the tram into the city though, so be warned, but even that was a true Melbourne experience. Public transport advice and tickets available at reception. A few local options for restaurants/pubs at Kew Junction, and a restaurant/brewery bar onsite. $15 cab to the restaurants/bars in Brunswick St. in case you need to know. The bed was VERY comfy and the room was smart. No pool, would have been nice. Staff were very friendly and capable. Some rooms have balconies, mine didn't.
So you run out of rooms in the city or want try something new. Take it from someone who stays in hotels\\apartments a lot, that you could do worse than catching the 109 tram to stop 36 and visit the Best Western 115. The checkin was swift and painless and despite a bit of a walk to your room, you'll be pleasantly surprised by the new decor and the peace and quiet. Dinner is available at the restaurant or you can have a craft beer at the microbrewery that is part of the complex. Once you have unwound, make your way up to your room to a soft bed and doze off. Now if your in the CBD the next thing you'd hear woul be the recycling trucks emptying bins ar 3am or the sirens of the police. Not in Kew. Your author had his balcony door open all night and awoke to the suburban sounds of a dog playing. So in short, if you take the tram and the time, this maybe a viable alternative to the noise and bustle of the CBD.
I stay here on business trips because the hotel is close to my office in Melbourne. The premises are clean and the rooms are comfortable. Good space in the rooms and desks are a good size for working on. Lighting in the room is good. Bed comfortable and showers large with great water pressure.
We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights during the Christmas period whilst visiting family in Melbourne. We chose an apartment to give us more space and the option of preparing our own meals, a decision which we did not regret. The hotel really delivered in terms of space, comfort and location. We even received an upgrade to a spa apartment on check in. The enormous bathroom was just as large as the bedroom! The hotel offered breakfast every morning but for most of the time, we just prepared our own which saved a lot of money. Whilst the hotel is not close to the Melbourne CBD, getting around on the tram was no problem. Plus, there are quite a few eateries to choose from in Kew for dinner which was preferable to fighting the crowds in the city. I have only 2 criticisms of the hotel - the first is that parking is not free although we did get a discount. Second, more attention has to be paid to the cleaning of the apartment. There were smudges and hand print marks on the glass balcony doors and the outdoor table was covered in a deep layer of dirt and dust. Overall, we had a comfortable stay and would definitely consider staying again.
Stayed here for five nights with spouse and two children a little prior to Xmas. I anticipated slightly sloppy, uncaring service for no good reason, but was proven wrong at every turn. The reception staff were courteous and helpful whenever approached. Housekeeping left plenty of towels and shampoo etc. every day. The rooms are not cheap despite the location of the hotel - about 10km from the city centre. But they are clean, new and highly functional. Ours (two bedrooms, standard) had a largish veranda including outdoor table overlooking Melbourne's leafy eastern suburbs and was set well away from the busy Cotham Road so very quiet even with the doors open. We liked the spacious entrance area - a place to kick off shoes and drop bags etc. before entering the room proper. Parking was 15 dollars a day, which initially felt steep atop the already high room charge, but it turned out to be (mandatory) valet parking - you call reception before descending and your vehicle would be waiting when you stepped from the elevators. We were frequently in and out with the car, but this did not bother the staff at all - it was still a flat 15 dollars. We ordered steak in the hotel restaurant one night and found it to be one of the best we've had in some time. With kids in tow, we didn't try the adjoining micro brewery, but it looked interesting. I would have awarded 5 stars, but have opted for four given the slightly high room charge. Despite the slightly high cost, I would stay again if looking for accommodation in the area.
More like a boutique hotel .. Whole hotel is immaculate and looks like it was finished last week . Rooms are quiet and really luxurious , with huge showers and amazing water pressure . Beds are ultra plush and comfortable . In fact this is the only hotel in years I've checked into and haven't gone straight back to reception to change or upgrade my room ..... It's fantastic . Restaurant is great too and they did an amazing job with our office Christmas party . Can't fault a single thing
This is a great business hotel with the restaurant and the reception on the main road and the hotel rooms behind the courtyard - giving it the much needed privacy yet the connect. The rooms are well appointed and pretty modern in décor - with A fancy keyboard for the Computer TV as well. There is a decent grill place in the premises as well - should you be in mood. But the food was disappointing - the breakfast turned out to be staple fare and even the room services I ordered were just average. Service was prompt and friendly and the cab was on call probably the quickest I experienced. Recommended for business- not for families due to small size
Rooms are well appointed with fixtures and fittings to a high standard. Food is excellent and there is a micro brewery next door if you are in the mood. Across the road is a great Italian restaurant should you wish to dine out. Free WiFi is great for business travellers. There is a gym which has a vast array of equipment if you want to work out. Overall this is a great place to stay and highly recommended.
Huge room, beautiful, comfortable bed. Great location right on tram line and close to lots of very good restaurants and shops. Bar with brewery and happy hour. Breakfast pretty ordinary. Valet parking for a cost.
We booked here to be close to a family member who lives in Kew and we were tired of staying in the middle of Melbourne's CBD. There is much to do in Kew and the surrounding areas if you like quality dining and shopping. It is also only some 20 mins from central Melbourne on the tram. It is also cheaper than staying in the CBD. The Best Western 115 is well worth a visit. From arrival to departure the staff are very friendly and helpful. Parking is easy in adjacent streets or taxis and trams readily available. It is only 10-15 minutes flat walk from Kew or Hawthorn. The room we had was of fair size with a separate divan and a moderate sized deck which overlooked leafy quiet yards at the rear of the hotel complex. It was very quiet from street noise (no trams or trains to hear) but there was some internal noises from adjacent rooms. It is however very quiet and you get a great night's sleep, especially on the amazing beds - they are amongst the best we have had in any hotel. The bathroom is of generous size with a very good shower and all the usual mid range quality bathroom accessories. The TV and Internet all worked well and fast WiFi is complimentary and actually worked! We did not try the on site restaurant as we were out every night during our stay with friends and family. We would certainly return, a great place to stay - the only downside was really sloppy room service with the bed poorly made, cushions left everywhere, the shower not cleaned and rubbish bins not cleared.
Have just completed our second stay at Premier 115 and will certainly be back again. The staff are all so friendly and helpful and the rooms are ultra modern and stylish. The 109 tram stops right out the front of the building which takes you straight into the city. So many little extras that are included in the rooms that really make you feel like you should have paid a lot more for the room than you actually did. The food at the restaurant was great value and really tasty (make sure you try the waffles!)
Rooms are new, comfortable, quiet and exceptionally clean. The 115 bar also serves great craft beers and snacks, especially the Beef Skewers! Highly recommend this hotel if you need to visit Melbourne suburbs, not CBD.
I like everything about it. Clean, modern, friendly staff. Internet is included.Gym is good enough for a quick workout and breakfast is nice. Try to get the last floor for an amazing view. Easy for public transport and some very nice places to eat around.
Stayed last month for our daughter's wedding. The accommodation was perfect! Two bedrooms both with bathrooms, great for bride and bridesmaid getting ready and spacious living area for family between wedding and reception. The beds were comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend the Best Western Premier Hotel in Kew!
Overall very good experience, food is good and most importantly free pick up and drop off service to a very inconvenient place of work. Have stayed in many hotel in Melbourne city and is compatible if not better than most given the location.
Enjoyed my stay immensely. Very modern, clean, attractive rooms with free WIFI. Excellent neighbourhood surrounded by excellent restaurants. Attentive staff. Would definitely recommend to any staying in Kew.
Booked this hotel after reading other excellent reviews on Tripadvisor. Everything was as expected and more, room was clean and tastefully decorated, no noise either, after arriving back from a big night out I had locked myself out at 4.30am and staff efficiently & quickly let me back into my room....they were also extremely generous in allowing me to sleep in!!!! highly recommend this one!
I use this hotel because of proximity to our office. The facilities are good and the rooms are a generous size. Heating in the rooms is good and easy to control. The TV is easy to use. There are many power outlets which enabled me to have my laptop iPhone and iPad all charging at once. The lighting in the room was good. The shower had good water pressure and hot water was not a problem. The bed was very comfortable. Taxi arrived on time after arranging through desk staff. I didn't eat here this time. Overall an excellent 2 night stay.
