    « 1 night's stay before friends' wedding »

Our room was ready before the check in time and we were able to access it earlier which saved us from waiting in the car. Staff at reception was v friendly and helpful. The room was OK, however there was some major works at a time which wasnt a nice view from the window or noise of concrete breaking in the morning. Overall conveniently located hotel

« Good place to stay if out for work »

The hotel is on a road outside the city and thanks to a large parking lot is a good option for who travels by car. The room was perfect and full equipped and in the restaurant they serve top-quality food until 23.

    « value for money »

The hotel is 30 mins from the airport, if hiring a car from the airport definitely recommend a satnav.the hotel is modern, clean and all staff very polite and helpful. Breakfast caters for all, home made omelette, hot food, salads, cereal. There is bike hire, next to the hotel is a large park with a zoo, well worth going to.Evening meals are a very reasonable price.Room service a bit hit and miss with tea and coffee in our room.

    « good quality »

I used to stayed in this hotel very often during my business trips in south of Poland. I was always nice welcomed. Rooms are clean and ok with nice colors. You can find everything what you need. Staff is really helpful. Breakfasts are very good

« Smallest sink ever - but OK. »

Location is remote from the rest of the city, but walking distance to the planetarium and a gas station convenience store.... The bathroom sink is ridiculously TINY!!!! Really comical, but functional I guess. Good breakfast w. fresh omelets made. Price is great.

    « A good hotel. »

I have to travel for work quite a bit, but this was my first trip to Poland. I didn't know what to expect but found the hotel to be comfortable and the staff more than willing to go out of their way to help you. I'm going back to the area next year and will stay here again.

« Good for Business trip »

I spent 2 nights at this Hotel and I found it very comfortable and clean. Restaurant is quite good and also a snack bar is available. The gym is pretty good with various professional machines. 30 min from Katowice airport. The night rate is right for the level of service. Breakfast complete with international food.

    « Best breakfast »

This is very nice hotel, spotlessly clean with comfortable beds and crispy linen however not very close to city centre, about 2 miles, but you can get there cheap by bus or taxi. If I will be in Katowice again I will come to this hotel for breakfast, so far the best I had in Poland and I do travel around. Wide range of delicious polish delicatessen, ham, cheese, pates, smoked and marinated fish, salads. Eggs and crepes prepared to your order, fresh cakes and smoothies my family just loved. Special thanks to head chef and friendly staff from the reception.

« Great place to stay. »

On the downside, the location, it's about 15-20 minutes from the city centre, there is not too much to do nearby, there are no shops or bars locally, not that we could see anyway. Having said that, what we saw of the city center I was faily pleased that we were staying where we were. The hotel - very clean, the rooms were immaculate, a wee bit cramped but it had all the facilities. Nice, spacious bathroom, two single beds and a well placed TV and wifi in the rooms etc all working. The restaurant was excellent, my daughter even ate broad beans - something she'd never touch normally. Their food was typically Polish and I enjoyed it as did my daughter. We were using it as a base for a few days away from Berlin before returning there to finish our holiday. So, day 1 was spent on a long bus journey from Berlin to Katowice, day two was the reason for the visit, we went to Auschwitz - the directions to get there were confusing, we couldn't find out where to get the bus or train from, how long it took or when it would come back etc. So, we asked how much a taxi would be - £60 there and back -- that my seem a bit steep but it was a 1 hour journey each way and it was also hammering it down at the time and we didn't fancy getting soaked. Having decided that we were not going to be going out at night we settled for the taxi and I'm pleased we did. Journey time on a bus or train to and from the camp was a bit mad, out taxi driver was very helpful and it made the whole day worth while.

« If you like location near the park »

A Popular hotel near a big park. Standard room was a bit gloomy and shabby, but sleeping was quite ok. Breakfast was a bit crowded, but food was quite ok. An average stay, an average value for the money.

« Average stay in average hotel »

Average hotel in Katowice. Staff was friedly, helpfull and speak english. In room was kettle for coffe, minibar, some days 0.5 l watter gratis.. some days dont. Bathroom was cleare, free parking near hotel. We stayed here 5 days.

« Not worth its price »

The hotel is situated about 15 min drive from the city center. The parking lot outside is surprisingly small and what the building definitely lacks is curb appeal- you have no impression you've just got to a 4 star hotel. The front desk staff - could be more helpful and welcoming. On entering the room it turned out it was not ready for 4 guests. We had to wait 15 min for bed linen. We had to make the bed by ourselves.... It was 11pm and our kids were quite tired... What is more, cleanliness is far from what one can expect - carpet not vacuumed properly, dirty walls and windows. To make matters worse, a strange design of the bathroom with a supertiny vanity makes it impossible washing teeth without splashing half of the place with water. The leaking tap didn' t make it easier... One thing I enjoyed was breakfast- reasonable choice and very good quality of food. Overall, it's worth looking for a different place in Katowice, as here value for money is rather disappointing.

    « Nice rooms »

We spent a night in this Hotel and it was really nice. The bathroom was clean and everything generally neat. Didn't hae much time to pay attention to detail, but I know they have a library and a restaurant. The decor is pretty and nice. Good for youth groups (my experience).

    « An Oasis »

Excellent hotel with superb amenities and staff. Location a bit forbidding but worth the trip. Very cheap for a BW possibly due to location. New restaurant with excellent food with serving from a chef at the actual table.

« Good choice for business or pleasure »

We had initially stayed at the Quality Silesian Hotel, which was more conveniently located for the purpose of our visit to Katowice. But after three nights of no sleep, no heat, and insufficient hot water for a shower, we left We moved to the Best Western Premier and were very happy we did. The breakfast was excellent and the rooms were modern and comfortable. Climate control worked and the halls were quiet. Staff were pleasant and professional. All in all, a happy experience. BB

    « Convenient overnight stop »

This hotel was fine, the room was adequate and the service was ok. The big problem was the totally inadequate car parking, which for a hotel in this kind of location is a big issue. If it was not for this I would probably stay again, but I don't like to carry my bags alone through dark and deserted areas and leave my car unattended in such a place. Wifi was also very slow and when I called the front desk the answer was that they had many guests using it - one would have imagined that the system would be designed to be used by as many guests as the hotel could accommodate but I guess not in this case.

« Not bad, but not good location. »

First, when you arrive to the hotel, the reception is fine. The room are nice, this is clear. But, the breakfast is not great. Then, the worst for me was the location. Where, even with a car, you are 20 minutes to the center and 40 minutes to the airport, which was my mistake :( And of course the view to absolutely not nice :(

    « Highly not recomened »

I left my electric tooth brush at the room. Called them next day and waiting for the answer for the whole day. Of course they did not find any. Well what can I say, it was not a diamond ring but a very good tooth brush only. Also u have to wait for the lift long time. Parking is not guarded, the staff told me they have camera . I do not recomend. During the night u can hear voices from the corridor.

« Cheap, clean and great food. »

After visiting a concentration camp in a meany town, we booked the hotel for one night. At £26 it was a bargain and we couldn't have been happier! we had bags taken to our room, had an excellent lunch experience where we had amazing Russain dumplings and the service was impeccable. It is a bit far out of Katowice which meant we couldn't venture in as we were on a budget and needed to save cash; it was pleasant enough. We were happy relaxing in the room. Shame is, we couldn't find any English speaking channels on the tv.

« Nothing more than another BW »

The hotel is not in a city centre so it is quiet and you can get a good night rest. Food is better than good - breakfast buffet is nicely served and well presented. Hotel has spa, but I didn't get the chance to try it. It's a good place for business stay- but definitely not a family friendly place.

    « Not impressed »

Given that I work in a four star hotel in Norwich, England, I had certain expectations. The front of house staff are extremely friendly and welcoming but the housekeepers barging in on you at 8am in the morning is a bit much with the 'please do not disturb' sign on the door! .....especially when you come back at 10pm to find your room still hasn't been serviced despite the 'please clean my room sign' being on since 11am! .......Poor show best western. Disappointed!

« A little off the beaten track »

Hotel is placed out of the city centre. However if you take taxi in 10 minutes you will be in the city centre, Taxi are cheap around 4-5 € from hotel to the centre of the city so it isn't a problem. Neighbourhood is look a little bit rubbish so if you are not really sensitive what is out side a window you can book it. Of course there is park close to the hotel so it could be benefit for walking or jogging, or if lucky to book room with park view. Rooms could be bigger but for 2-3 night you can live with that. Room was clean as well bathroom however interior finish could be better. I tried diner and lunch in hotel restaurant and diner a la carte was much better . Lunch taste quite basic and it was only to kill hunger. In the hotel you can find fitness centre but I didn't try it.

    « Terrible hotel »

We were thoroughly looking forward to staying in the best western. We are 2 cycle tourists that are on a tour of Europe , we were looking for some to stop for a couple of days , wash our clothes and use sauna to detox, we trekked for an hour to get here , first entering we were made feel very unwelcome. To wash our clothes this is individually priced and would accumulate to 500 zlotys! And the sauna was extra. The lady on reception was highly medicated on anti depressants and made us feel extremely unwelcome as well as manager in suite , we made the decision not to stay here , the hotel did not have a nice atmosphere.there are much better, cheaper, friendly and more central hotels in Katowice.

    « Dirty »

The hotel is located pretty our of the city center (ca. 20 mins by taxi) but close to a big park area. So view from rooms on higher floors is nice. Check-in was quick. Corridors are narrow and require urgent re-painting. Rooms are small. A touch of paint would also help here. The windows were not tight so nice from the street disturbed me at night. There is a good restaurant where they offered specially prepared vegan dishes. Nice. But limited choice at breakfast.

« Perfect hotel for those with a car »

This was a return trip for us. We have a car, so this is our first choice when visiting Katowice. The Hotel is modern, friendly, comfy, and the breakfast is excellent. This time we ate dinner in the restaurant. The menu is small, but everything is very tasty, and prepared right in front of you. The wifi was week in the room.

    « Not that bad. »

We booked through the hotel's website and were never asked, if we wished to get a room for smokers. Yet, we were located in such a room precisely. As non-smokers we weren't very happy about this. Besides that the room was ok. Very nicely arranged, with a kettle, tea, coffee :) And definitely clean. A big plus is the free parking <3 The staff at the reception could've been a bit more friendly, but the overall experience wasn't bad :)

    « Could be better »

The hotel is located in a slightly sketchy area. And there isn't enough parking for each room. So we were left to park our rental car on the street. The lobby is quite nice and clean, with a bar and restaurant. The room was pretty simple, not 100% clean (crumbs and such in the info box) and the paint job was lazily done. There was still tape around the "head board".

« Very poor hotel. Doesn't deserve 4* nor "Premier". »

I was strongly disappointed by this hotel. Let's start with location: in the middle of nowhere - 6km from Katowice City Centre, so you have to use car or taxi. It's the old students dorm turned to hotel. Our room was upgraded, but was still extremely small. Bed area had around 40 cm space on each side of the bed. Separate living area was also very small. You can see that someone tried to squeeze as much, as possible from this building. TV sets are small. Bathroom is also tiny. Sink is a size of pizza and all made of plastic. In addition walls in our room were dirty and water from sink was not draining. Seems that Best Western thinks that if you offer modern interior, it's already 4 stars and "Premier" hotel - wrong thinking!!! Let's go to breakfast. Kitchen is open and ventilation is extremely bad, so after breakfast you should wash your clothes. Presentation looks bad and is really not tempting. Variety is quite ok, even though you get rather cheap products. One type of the cheapest cheese for breakfast is rather not sufficient for hotel that pretends to be 4 stars. Fruits are just cut in quarters like never in any hotels - not even peeled. They are on separate stand, but... no plates there, so you need to make few steps back to take plate and come again. Windowsills were dirty as they wouldn't have been cleaned for at least one month. Same coffee machines. When I've mentioned it to service, someone came with a dirty cloth and "cleaned" it - looked even worse. In addition one of the coffee machines was not working, and people started to queue to the other one - no reaction from staff. In addition, if you're BW Diamond guest, you should get welcome gift or 250 points. Of course nobody offered me that. I recall this at the departure and they wanted to push me discount coupon for the restaurant to be used within next 12 months. Unfortunately I'm going to stay away from this hotel...

    « Great stay »

Clean hotel, executive rooms are spacy and have everything i need. Staff is helpfull. Fitness and sauna are complementary and complete a shame that there are few People who use them. For me, as i was there on business the 24/24 availability was An asset. I will return in the near future whenever i visit Katowice .

    « defeat ;//// »

I spent whole week there when in Katowice was some mining convent. The worst scrambled eggs i have ever eat. Too much butter, which was spilled on my plate. Also the breakfasts were very meager... I would like to notice that also receptionists weren't too aware. However is not the end, i saw that first time in a 4* hotel, and i would like to share with U. If you want to have washbasin in room just choose Best Western ;)))

« Far away from city center »

Hotel is located far away from city center. Room was very clean with complimentary stiil water but you have to pay for the breakfast. Air condition worked only in cold position. Generally, room condition was very good. Reception hall, lobby bar and restaurant was very clean with professional staff.

    « Cheap 4 star »

Honestly when one compares this 4 start to angelo in Katowice for example, one would not think this Best Western deserves 4 star. The rooms are fairly new, but little fatigued already, everything is rather low quality. But service is really good, people are very friendly. And location is good, 1 minute to park, 10 in car to city center. One extraordinary thing about this hotel - breakfast, fresh, home made food.

« good hotel to stay »

Stay for a couple of nights in this hotel. Friendly service, nice bar and really good food. They using an open kitchen and prepare your food (the last steps) in the front of your table. Breakfast was really good, a lot of choices. WiFi was the 2nd day really terrible. They should organise that much better.
