« Lovely central location to stay »

I got a Scoopon voucher for this resort, and I'm glad i purchased it. I had been told by friends that this was a good place to stay, and upgrading to the two bedroom apartment was worth the money. It's a simple apartment, but with everything you could need for your visit. We had a washer and dryer in the apartment with the king size bed, which came very handy, though no clothes line or airier, but given we have had such hot weather everything dried on the alfresco chairs (which were all clean). Kitchen was furnished for 4 people in terms of cutlery and plate ware. They provided new dish cloth, j-cloth and washing pad, salt and pepper, pots, one frying pan, cheese grater and cooking utensils. I took all non-perishable items from my pantry, there is a local IGA and its priced the same is Perth, BUT the fresh fruit and veg was slightly pricier. The pool is 1.3 meters deep, with a sail shade and sun loungers. All in all, a lovely place and staff, I would definitely recommend.

    « Absolutely the best! »

I had the loveliest night at the Kalbarri resort. Lovely staff, food, clean rooms, it was really nice. The staff at the front desk were divine and the restaurant staff very pleasant. I will stay there next time I am there

« Great place to stay. »

Just stayed and the rooms were excellent, clean and tidy, we had a room with a balcony overlooking the pool area, air cons works well on the hot days. The staff were friendly and helpful with our requirements and advised of the restaurant being busy. The room had a full kitchen and washing machine and dryer. an BBQ on the balcony The only thing they can improve on is to have a ceiling fan on the balcony to circulate the air when sitting outside.

« Company stay very nice »

Our company rented 5 rooms at the Kalbarri Edge resort for 2 nights The rooms were very clean ,spacious and were complimented by a Clean pool that both parents and children enjoyed all within a very short stroll To the beach and all town facilities I will be staying at this resort again great for families

« Great place if you arrive late »

Would have been 5 star apart from one point. We arrived 1330hrs for a 1400hrs check in to be told that the room would not be ready for a couple of hours. Having driven a long way we just wanted to get into our room and explore Kalbarri before it got dark. The receptionist was polite about it and did offer complimentary breakfast as recompense (nice gesture), but another member of staff made comments about delay which were less than helpful and even suggested going to pub for a drink whilst waiting (not helpful given drink driving laws). In all other aspects accommodation was superb, I have lived in smaller and less well equipped flats !! It was pricey, but worth it.Fully equipped kitchen, superb bathroom (with washer / dryer !), separate bedroom and living area. Great location, few minutes walk from cafes, beach, takeaway food places. Highly recommend.

    « Average »

It's a good hotel but does not give you some extra feeling. The rooms are clean and good but nothing extra. There is nothing to complain about but also nothing to praise for. A good middle class hotel with nothing extra.

« Great Hotel and Locaton »

Stayed at this Hotel for a quick getaway 4 nights ( Executive Room ). Found the Hotel really friendly and the rooms were very spacious. Had our own BBQ on the verandah which was very handy. Staff here are lay back and extremely helpful, meals are good and they will go out of their way to make your stay friendly. Found this hotel in the high market range mainly because of the location and very large room but for a relaxing time and comfort it was all worth while. Would stay here again and intend to book for the new year. The town has a large range of things to do including the National Park a short drive away which is all well worth while gong to see.

« Amazing value deals, we couldn't fault anything. »

This review is about the 'executive spa suite'. $399 for 3 nights was incredible value. The suite is massive, with a full kitchen (including a dishwasher and a barbie on the terrace/balcony) with everything you need. The bed is comfortable and yes, there is a spa. The heated swimming pool is about 30 seconds walk away (you have view from balcony). The location is very central, less than 5 minutes walk from both pubs and one of the supermarkets, fish and chips shop. Do take cash if you go to Kalbarri, the ATM was down and so of the business are cash only as well as one of the pub. Would go again in an heart beat.

    « Nice, clean, convenient »

Great modern, friendly and clean room (studio in our case) in an excellent location. Breakfast very good too at a reasonable price. Pity the studio's have no outside space like a verandah or balcony. Booked again for a stay on the way back from the north! Is worth it.

« Great rooms and facilities »

We stayed for 3 nights in a King bed with spa room. It included a bottle of Margaret River wine and chocolates. We arrived early and were pleasantly surprised that our room was ready. Our self contained "apartment" was crisp and clean. All amenities were provided, cutlery, dishes, glasses, cups, dishwasher, washing machine, hairdryer etc etc. The location was very good and was within walking distance to restaurants, pubs and cafes. Would certainly recommend this resort for couples and/or families. Thank you for a great stay.

    « Shower Harmonies »

We spent a couple of nights at the Best Western Kalbarri Edge Resort earlier this month as part of our drive around Australia. The hotel is newer and it looks as though they are taking good care of it, we weren't expecting a lot but the place is awesome! The room we had was perfect for us, kitchen, barbeque on the patio and all the utensils you would need for cooking so we ate out the whole time hahaha. The beds were very comfortable, the bathroom was great, lots of hot water and we could hear a neighbour singing in their shower which was fun, he was pretty good actually. The resort is close to shops and easy walking distance to some attractions and restaurants which was nice so we didn't have to drive around town much. We loved our stay here, we would definitely stay here again and would recommend for anyone travelling to Kalbarri.

    « Great accommodation »

We recently stayed here with family for 3 nights and found it well laid out. The accommodation was very clean, spacious and comfortable. Well located for the centre of Kalbarri. All the staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Well done Marcos and the team!!

    « Great accommodation »

We stayed for one night only. The facility was well appointed, clean and well maintained. Beds very comfortable. We were particularly pleased to find that each apartment had a gas barbecue - we had a fantastic and tasty meal with produce from the well stocked local supermarket

    « Fantastic accomodation. »

What a great central place Kalbarri Edge Resort is. The staff are super friendly and work to make your holiday the best. My only criticism would be having to take our luggage up stairs - but only a small inconvenience. The rooms are large and very well appointed. Huge bathroom, well equiped kitchen, separate bedroom and a balcony!

    « Tip accommodation »

Just for 1 night only but this accommodation is great. The executive suite with spa bath is very spacious with everything you need for a stay. The check-in at the reception was very quick and the lady at the reception was very friendly and helpfull. Maybe the only thing to complain about is the surcharge when using a credit card. A bit old fashion.

« Good facility for a family break »

Good facilities, close to the beach and food take-away's nearby. We loved out stay. We didn't use the dining room but it looked very nice and well attended every evening. Rooms were clean and neat. 2 adults and 2 children 10 and under stayed in a family room being a studio and 1 bedroom with inter leading door. Huge amount of space. Pool was clean and nice but a little cold for September. Beds very comfortable, linen nice and fresh. Plenty of off street parking. Only drawback in the whole stay was the BBQ on balcony was quite old and needed a better clean, but we noticed some of the other BBQ's were newer and probably less worse off for wear.

« Great location lovely stay »

This is a lovely place to stay as it is located right in the heart of Kalbarri yet set off Main Street so quiet when need be! Friendly staff cleaners and receptionist can be helpful enough! Rooms roomy and clean made our stay comfortable and enjoyable I would definately stay again thumbs up for this family friendly accommodation!!

    « Excellent Edge »

We were recommended to have dinner in this Restaurant and we were not disappointed. The wait staff were very welcoming as was the Manager. The Entrees showed a broad selection of type and scollops and camembert were well presented and prepared. The mains were likewise presented well and tastily prepared. My husband had the lamb shank ( highly recomended) and I the Asain Duck.again recommended. All in all a wonderful evening and would recommend to any one. Certainly should be rated higher than the 9 out of 18 on the Kalbarri eateries.

« As good a room as any I have stayed in. »

Stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment, fantastic. One bedroom queen and single, ensuite, kitchenette, main bedroom king bed, enormous bathroom with spa bath and washing machine and clothes dryer. Lounge extremely spacious. 3 seater couch, 2 comfy single armchairs, table and chairs. Full size fridge, hot plate, microwave, tea and coffee facilities, toaster, cooking utensils etc. very large verandah opening onto loung area with your own large gas barbecue. Large table and dining chairs, all undercover. Grand floor and first floor apartments, no lift. Pool, near beach and shops.

    « Highly recommend »

Cannot speak highly enough of our apartment. Clean and comfortable. We had a spa suite which had a great kitchen with microwave and full size fridge. No oven but there was a covered bbq on the deck. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom was huge and included a washing machine and dryer combo. A very comfortable lounge and good TV reception. Just one block from the Main Street with a nice pool area.

« Good accomodation. Few buts. »

We spent 4 nights in a spa apartment. It had a well equipped kitchen including a dish washer, a small lounge area, bathroom was spacious with a spa, good sized walk in shower, a washer/dryer and toilet, a utility cupboard and plenty of room to move still. BUT.. If you have trouble with stairs make sure you get downstairs appartment. Car parking is at back of appartment so hike to get gear around front and in room let alone upstairs. Had cobweb full of mosquitos near front door and bed headboard bit dusty otherwise housekeeping good. Had lots of mosquitos in room. Take some spray - that can happen anywhere.

« Lots and lots of good and some not so good »

We had an Executive Suite on a deal without daily room service. There is lots of good about the Kalbarri Edge resort. The suite had a lot of room and was very well appointed - a large bedroom with a king-size bed and plenty of storage, a huge bathroom/laundry with a fantastic shower and a spa bath, a lounge/dining/kitchen and a balcony among the trees with it's own BBQ. There is a good pool with a communal BBQ. Friendly staff. The resort is easy walking distance from shops, stores, cafes and both the hotel and a tavern. What is not so good is skimping on everything else. Simple sun lounges by the pool that can't be adjusted, hardly any cleaning liquid and I didn't know that such thin toilet paper could be purchased in Australia. It took some edge of a great resort. Also, breakfast was OK so long as there wasn't a crowd.

    « Super Deal Package »

Just stayed three nights at the Kalbarri Edge Resort taking advantage of the Super Deal Package. We had a very spacious and well equipped spa Executive Suite fronting the pool, with free continental breakfast (it was plenty) and a bottle of wine and some chocolates for a welcome. It is one of the newest resorts and In a pleasant location just a short walk back from the beaches/foreshore and close to all the restaurants and shops. Plenty of parking.

    « fantastic apartments »

We were 9 people, one disabled, stayed in 2 x 2 bed apartments, which had excellent facilities, kitchens in both adjoining apartments, well fitted bathrooms with spa baths. BBQ area and good wifi. A great stay close to the beach.

« Good Location clean and modern »

We had friends from the UK and we travelled to Kalbarri to show them around our great country the Kalbarri Edge resort was a great place to stay the rooms were a good size we had a spa apartment and a joining room both rooms had all the facilities for a few days or a couple of weeks stay will stay here again and highly recommend

    « Holiday »

Great value for money. The apartments are very spacious and well equipped and the bathroom with spa bath. Nice & clean and quite and a great family friendly hotel located close to all shops & restaurant. Nice in room dining service.

    « Great stopover »

Great stop over for 1 night as we are travelling up to Denham. Unit is clean and spacious. Kids love the huge tub. As they gave us adjoining units we had 2 bathrooms. Our unit has an outdoor seating area which is quite spacious too and also there is a BBQ but too bad we didn't have time to BBQ.

Great place to stay even though rooms were average, not very modern or stylish. However the restaurant food was awesome the best meal in WA by far on this trip. We had 3 courses because it all tasted so good. Highly recommend the restaurant.

    « 50th Birthday »

Had a 50th birthday party at function room with catering by Shane. Fabulous service and assistance with planning. Many out of town guests stayed at The Edge, all happy with accommodation. Excellent for our special celebration. Thank you & big cheers to staff. ????????

    « Holiday stop over »

We stayed here for one night on our way through Kalbarri, the rooms were really nice and comfortable. The service at reception wasn't bad but nothing amazing. There isn't a lot of parking available and your not guaranteed a park near your room.

« High Expectations but not delivered. »

Booked the Edge Resort after reading so many good reviews, however these can't be for a Deluxe Studio, as the Deluxe is a bit misplaced. Room was ok and clean, however you are tucked out the back with no outlook or any seating area. Parking is poor with not enough spaces so you have to park a distance away, the air conditioners for upstairs units are mounted outside your room and some people insist on having them on all night when not needed. Bed not too comfortable. Looking at the deals, we booked well in advance and paid nearly as much as you could have walked in and got a spa suite with breakfast and wine thrown in due to low season. How about asking your guests if they would like to upgrade for $24 when checking in, now that would be proper service.

    « Good location »

Great location. So what if you don't have ocean views. Great room , double with spa . A bit of maintenence needed but as the receptionist said if they are not told they won't know if anything is wrong or needs repair. Definitely would stay again and also recommend restaurant. Great service and great food.

    « 3 day stay »

We come every couple of years around this time to Kalbarri and have always found the resort clean, well furnished and staff are pleasant and helpful. The units are well funished and there is ample offroad parking and pleasant suroundings. Kathy and Allan

« Family suite is massive! »

We had a family suite for 5 nights and the space was huge. The kids room had its own kitchenette and ensuite (normal hotel room I guess) but via connection door joined to our lounge/kitchen then on to our room and bathroom/laundry. The laundry was a handy inclusion as well as a full size fridge and cooking utensils. There was also a bbq on the balcony we used one night. The pool and chess outside were used by a few families... It was only 20 degrees so I would imagine this would be a bit crazy in summer...altho perfectly great beach only 5 min walk away :) We walked everywhere... To a number of pubs and restaurants for dinner and to the shops or river everyday. I would happily stay here and recommend again.

« Nice relaxing casual dining. »

Casual dining with nice selection on menu. Waitress was lovely & professional. Chicken salad was lovely. Generous amount of tender chicken. Salad was generous & tasty with roasted macadamia nuts added. Asian duck was flavoursome & cooked perfect. Served on a generous amount of sweet mashed potato & selection of green vegetables.

    « Lovely place »

Kalbarri is a lovely scenic seaside town and the Kalbarri Edge Resort provided excellent accommodation. We had a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom unit for 2 couples which was really 2 interconnecting rooms but was very spacious and had adequate kitchen facilities and laundry. Rooms were clean. There is a choice of a number of restaurants within walking distance or can eat there but closed Sunday night and Monday morning so just as well had other options. Lovely staff in reception.

    « Relaxing times............... »

I had a 10 night stay during June in an Executive Spa Suite. I was amazed at the size of my accommodation which was approximately 3/4 the size of my own home! All staff were efficient and friendly from the moment Pete the handyman picked me up from the TransWA bus to the moment I checked out with Sally on reception. I had the 3 day deal special which entitled me to free continental breakfast, 3 bottles of wine and 3 packets of Frere Rocher chocolates. (The wines were excellent from Watershed winery, Margaret River) The hotel was peacefulI, quite and relaxing. I shall definitely return again

« Passing thru on way home »

Friendly welcome ....which was appreciated after a long drive in wet conditions from Exmouth ....upgraded from studio to a spa room ....really needed to relax in a warm bath!! Room was spacious well appointed, clean and quiet...we had room 206 overlooking pool ....might not be so quiet during summer? * would have been good to have a shower cap along with the other bathroom amenities plus two towels and some flannels We had dinner at the hotel restaurant as the weather wasn't conducive for roaming around looking for a place to eat ....also Trip Adviser gave this some of the better reviews My meal was really very good ...sirloin steak, mash potatoes and green veg's that thankfully were not over cooked husband had the crispy skin duck which was also very good We both had the rhubarb & apple pie arrived with cigar type wafers, strawberry, cream and ice cream ....way too much going on ....less is more!!! ...the cream we both tried to scrape out as it didn't taste very good! We also had breakfast which wasn't too bad The restaurant lacks ambience and uninviting for dinner, which is a shame as it was a very pleasant main course and friendly service .... Atmosphere suited breakfast time better !

    « Wecoming »

This is a lovely motel situated close to the main street and beach front. Rooms are a good size and clean with their own bathroom. Beds were very comfy. Bar area and dining room very neat and clean. Staff were friendly.

« Awesome apartment, fantastic location »

Stayed in an awesome 2 bedroom spa apartment with another couple for 3 nights. We had a coupon which included $20 off in the restaurant and a complimentary bottle of wine. This discounted rate did not include daily servicing, but extra/clean linen was always available. The self contained apartment was amazing, clean and very spacious. Included just about everything we needed. Lovely balcony with outdoor tables/chairs and a BBQ and we made use of the spa. Pool looked lovely, if only it had been a bit warmer. Great location, walking distance to the bay, eateries and taverns. Easy walk up the hill to the lookout. Also an awesome path to bike ride down the coast to some of the gorges, & great scenery depending on your ability. We are only casual riders & managed 10km round trip. Lovely facility will definitely stay again.

    « Lynkay »

This resort is new and very nice. Our room was well set out with a kitchen, washing machine, drier ..... and a barbecue on the balcony. The room overlooked the swimming pool. Check in was friendly and efficient. We ate in the restaurant and enjoyed a lovely meal. Would have liked to stay longer in this resort.

    « Pancakes for breakfast! »

Another stop off on our road trip. Basic but clean room. Dvd's for loan from reception but not all rooms have DVD players. Basic cooking facilities e.g a microwave and kettle. Thankfully we had prepped food earlier and just had to reheat. Continental breakfast was delicious and has set us up for a day of exploring the river gorges!

    « Good accommodation choice »

Really good hotel. Stayed here a week, managed a great deal on We had executive spa suite , good size room and you can add a deluxe room to it which would give you another bathroom and beds for three more guests. Large bathroom with full laundry facilities. Large bedroom with wardrobe and desk. Lounge room with dining table and kitchen. Deck with outdoor table and BBQ. Only thing lacking in the room would be somewhere to hang clothes rather than hanging over the balcony. Pool nice clean area, whilst I probably swam on the coldest day it was still nice in the pool. Recommend if booking in peak or busy time ask for a top floor because it sounds like a herd of elephants are up there when you are on the ground floor (we only had a couple of nights of it)

    « Great Accomodation »

The hotel was great. Spacious rooms, large lounge , dinning room, separate large bedroom with on suite with spa and separate shower. Porch with own BBQ. Restaurant on site, other eating venues within walking distance. Town centre also walking distance.Could easily live there it is so nice and the rates are good. Staff friendly and helpful.

    « Fantastic »

We got an excellent deal to stay here in one of the luxurious apartments for two night's. We had a fantastic experience here and every moment that we weren't out at the beach, we were in the incredible salt water pool just outside our apartment. We got a bottle of wine when we checked in with our Groupon deal which was nice. We also stayed in a few places around this way and there was an almighty heatwave whilst we were there so the aircon was a must and in this place it was great, it was in each room. The only downfall I found was the restaurant and prices in there but there are lots of lovely places to eat around anyway. Would definitely recommend a stay here, felt really happy with our stay.

    « Kalbarri Edge - lovely »

Just spent a week at the Resort and could have stayed longer. Studio room was spacious enough for two of us, bathroom had a lovely big shower. the Staff were lovely and friendly. Highlight was the taxi service by the resort to Rainbow Jungle, a fantastic place just too far to walk to and back. Thank you.

    « Excellent »

We had three nights here and couldn't fault it. So much room, comfortable bed, spotlessly clean, well equipped. Staff are great and the meals were excellent. The Chef even shared one of his recipes with me !! Great location too. Thoroughly recommend The Edge.

    « Great Value »

We received a pretty good deal through Groupons. Apart from a lack of a good view everything else was excellent. Plenty of room, well appointed, easily self-contained and in very good position - a very short walk to the pub and the shops. We will return. Excellent food at the restaurant although on the expensive side; but then that is the same for most places in Kalbarri.

    « Lovely »

Great sized room , in a premier spa suite , bed was really comfy . Staff were friendly and meal was great in the restaurant . Only negatives were that our room wasn't serviced the 3 days we stayed there , and the continental breakfast wasn't great . The only options were toast and pancakes for carb based foods and the coffee was instant . We would certainly stay here again as the positives outweighed the negatives :)

    « Great accommodation »

We stayed in a one bedroom Executive Spa Suite on a recent visit to Kalbarri. Without exception, the staff were all efficient and very friendly. The Suite had a well equipped kitchen with washer/dryer located in the very spacious bathroom. The bedroom had plenty of hanging and shelf space for clothes and a convenient bench for 2 suitcases as well as a desk area. Each apartment seems to have a large covered outdoor area with table and chairs and a BBQ We were on the ground floor and at times there was a little noise from chairs being moved upstairs but it wasn't a problem. Overall the entire complex is very quiet. There is onsite parking close to each apartment and space to park right outside to unload before moving the car into the parking bay. The river is walking distance away, as is a supermarket, newsagent and butcher as well as other shopping outlets This was our second stay at Kalbarri Edge and we would stay again.

    « A real surprise treat »

We stopped by here on our way up to Exmouth & again on our return trip. Cannot fault the premises at all. It was a surprise to discover the apartment had a fully functioning gas bbq which we used on both occasions. The real treat was the spa in the room. We all made good use of that. The rooms were clean, spacious, comfortable & we did enjoy our stay. Will definitely stay here again on another trip.

    « Great value »

We decided to have a few days in Kalbarri, and found this 3 night special at the Kalbarri Edge Resort for $133 a night in a Spa Suite with a bottle of wine, and Conti breakfast included . I enquired if the dates we wanted were available, girl at reservations, via E.Mail, said that it was not available, and the cost was now $278 a night, which was outside our budget. So I looked at what else was available, and saw that the special was still listed, so I assumed she was not aware of this, and continued to make the booking. We arrived early to be told that check in time was 2 pm, and " as the room has only just been vacated" we would have to wait until it had been cleaned, she would give us a call as soon as it was available, we did not get a call!! We returned at 2pm to be told that the cleaners were in and had found a bad smell which they thought to be a dead mouse. I went to see the cleaners and sniff the smell, the cleaners said that "as the room had not been used for some time" they had to give it an extra clean!!. We got access about 3 pm, and "wow" what a suite. Dinning area, kitchen complete with dishwasher, lounge area with 3 piece suite, TV on a cabinet, radio/cd player Separate bedroom, with an ensuite, spa, walk in shower, and a washing machine, we did use most of those facilities, when we are on holiday we do not do home chores!!! Then outside a covered patio with BBQ ,and out door setting. We dined in the restaurant each evening, a good menu reasonably priced, with a limited wine list, staff were very good, and made dinning a pleasure. The only minus was that the room was supposed to be serviced each day which it was not .

    « Nice place »

Was lovely to check in to the Kalbarri Edge Resort, after a week in basic, old accommodation in Exmouth, it felt like luxury!! We booked a two bedroom spa apartment, which was actually two adjoining rooms, but kids (10 &13) were stoked to have their own room/tv/ bathroom. I was happy to find a washing machine/dryer in the spa bathroom! (BYO washing powder) No washing line, but reception are happy to loan a drying rack. A bonus for us was the alfresco, looking over a bush area, very serene to sit out there. Facilities were good. Only complaint is noise from upstairs unit (chairs scraping/banging) Only tried restaurant for breakfast. Good offering for continental, with friendly waitress.

    « Bit of a holiday »

We had booked a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom room. It was spacious and clean. A short stroll to the waterfront, shops and more. We have enjoyed our stay. The front desk staff are kind. We cooked most of our meals in our room.

« Great value for money »

My partner and I stopped off for a stay at Kalbarri on the way to Coral Bay. This hotel is walking distance from the township so it's super handy if you want to nip down to the beach for a swim, pub for a beer or restaurant/supermarket for some food. We had a spa one bedroom unit. It was very spacious, modern and clean. Huge bed... Think it must have been a King. Full size fridge/freezer and a all in one washing machine/ dyer which was in large bathroom area. All appliances were modern and clean. Covered outdoor patio with wooden outdoor furniture ( not nasty plastic) and a full size BBQ. Would be a great place to have an extended holiday. The only drawback (which is pretty minor in the scheme of things) was that the kitchen was not as well equipped as I'd hoped. Couldn't find a chopping board, glassware was pretty average, sharp knives were illusive. All in all though, highly recommend.

« Comfortable, Clean, Well Maintained with Good Service »

We spend the first night of the Easter holidays at the Best Western Plus Kalbarri Edge Resort. Even though the staff were stressed to the back teeth about the impending tourist stampede soon to arrive it was still a pleasant stay! The breakfast service was slow and a little discombobulated but tasty nonetheless. The dinner menu looked quite nice too. We had a 2 bedroom "apartment" on the ground floor beside the pool. It was basically 2 units with an adjoining door but it served the purpose. Unfortunately it lacked privacy due to the birds-eye view from the pool!

« Relaxing, Comfortable and Central »

A great hotel for people who don't want too much noise and yet still be central to Kalbarri. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the bed is one of the most comfortable I have slept in away from home. Definitely enjoyable stay, and close to a number of good restaurants and the beach.

    « Good room »

Good sized and well equipped room, in clean but slightly tired condition. This hotel is located approximately 200 meters from the river/beach front which is about 3 minutes walk. There is a pub and small shopping plaza about 2 minutes walk away with restaurants and bakery.

    « A lovely 3 day stay »

We had a top floor room, unfortunately no balcony with our own barbecue, but you could use one in a shared area. The room was clean and spacious and a lovely large shower. There is a restaurant on site but unfortunately not to our liking, but a short walk away is a tavern serving great food with good size portions. There seemed to be plenty of parking and the reception staff was lovely.

    « good location »

The Best Western was a good place to stay, a three minutes walk to the foreshore and tavern. It was nice and clean and parking next to your unit. Offers discounted rates for over 55 which was great. Had Breakfast there was very good. Staff lovely.

    « Restaurant closed dinner & breakfast »

Unfortunately the restaurant was closed for both dinner and breakfast on the Sunday night/Monday morning of the long weekend. As I booked personally over the phone I feel it would have been good customer service if I have been told in advance. Also the chairs on the balcony need to be replaced. Positive note: great comfy bed, very quiet location, cool breeze on the balcony of the upstairs rooms

    « Pleasant stay »

We stayed here for 3 nights following a Groupon voucher and were surprisingly impressed. The rooms you cannot fault they are very big, full kitchen (no oven), large bathroom and our own balcony with a BBQ! Service very friendly and helpful too. Location is perfect compared to the other hotels in the town. Only let down was the misunderstanding about some of the Groupon benefits... no daily service provided, as we learnt this the hard way by leaving all of our towels wet in the bathtub for the day! Easily resolved by walking down to reception and getting more towels. Look no further if you wish for a quick stay in Kalbarri and don't want a "country town" room to stay in.

    « 3days short notice trip »

Great people working in the kitchen and at reception made you feel welcome and helped out with any local knowledge. Open for a chat. Room was huge with a massive comfy bed n some DVDs to rent free, Nice Clean n basic kitchen, Definately stay again!

« Good room in a great location, nice and clean. »

We stayed for 4 nights in a room with a king sized bed. The room was nice and clean, bright and airy. Great location, close to all the bits and pieces in town, shops, pubs and take aways, as well as within walking distance to the water. The outside of the units is very well kept, with easy parking and a drive around the building to get out onto the street again. Would definitely stay here again, good stuff!

    « Clean and big »

We stayed here one night. the room was big and clean and modern. We had no dinner or breakfast here. The check-in was friendly, parking space right in front of our room. We had dinner in The Black Rock Café and breakfast in the Gorges Café, botch places i highly recommend with seavieuws and delicious food.

« Nice, clean hotel with excellent staff »

We stayed here twice on the same trip. Going from Perth to Exmounth and back. Just because we very much appreciated the place. A bit more lively than some other small towns we went and not too crowdy. Hotel was great on walking distance from the beach & restaurants. First visit we stayed in a std room , the second visit we were offered a deluxe room. WOW just great , with a nice terras & BBQ.

    « Very Well-Maintained. »

The entire complex is very well-maintained and clean. I stayed in a king 1 x bedroom unit with ensuite/laundry. I LOVED this unit (106). It was extremely spacious overall - the livingroom/kitchen, bedroom and the ensuite/laundry had LOADS of space. It was clean (even the patio chairs had no dust/sand on them!) Well appointed kitchen (couple of extra pots & chopping knives would seal the deal). Good furniture and the bed & pillows were extremely comfortable. Even though I didn't use it, it has a great BBQ on the patio, which was also a good size. Even though this unit is beside the pool, it was still lovely and quiet. Great TV too!

« Good value for money »

Nice and close to the estuary, short walk to everything you need. The room had a double and a single bed in the same room. Room was clean and tidy with a small kitchenette bed and pillows were OK. Didn't try the restaurant but we did try the pool as it was damn hot. The pool has a BBQ area where you can have a cook up. Read comments of reception being an issue but we had no trouble at all everyone was very accommodating. Yes I would stay again

    « Lovely, Relaxed Visit »

Had a lovely stay here last week, there was 5 adults in a 2 bedroom spa apartment. We used the BBQ in the evenings and mornings sitting on our balcony with a cold one, the pool was refreshing after a very hot walk through the gorges, staff were friendly and restaurant looked very good although we didn't use it. The beds were probably the most comfortable I have slept on at a hotel, would highly recommend a stay here.

    « Great location »

Stayed for 5 days found the rooms to be spacious and clean. In a very good central location to all of kalbarri,s shops. A great place to come back to after spending the day seeing the sights of kalbarri. Would recommend this resort to friends

    « Great family holiday! »

The 2 bedroom spa apartments are clean, comfortable and attractive. The reception and cleaning staff are kind, friendly and efficient. Nothing is too much trouble. The pool is clean and warm. It is in a great location with lots of places to eat and things to do within walking distance. The gym is not operational, but there is a small gym 7 min away at physio rooms. Great place to stay for a relaxing holiday!

« Modest, does the job, as long as you check in early »

The check in closed at 6. English mobile phones dont work in Australia. How do you expect us to get our key? When we got our room, it was quite tired, but did the job. Nothing special, everything worked ok. Breakfast, charged, was good though.

    « Another excellent stay...3 nights deal in a spa suite..december 2015 »

Well in short, this is the 5th year we have enjoyed this resort -with another cheap deal..including wine and chocolates....! Next year the resort will produce its own deal (contact them direct) which includes discounts in their restaurant which must be one of the best here and we will be back again! We depart before the school holidays start--the town is then quiet peaceful! Nice safe river swimming..sadly missed out on a canyon trip..better planning for next year!

« Very clean and comfortable »

We really enjoyed our during 2 nights stay in this resort. Bed is very comfortable and room is very clean. Car park is limited and not guarantee you will get it in front of your room. Need to improve for future

    « Right choice »

Check in was quick, 2bed apartment was very roomy and well equiped. Location was spot on ( within walking distance to everything) and all the staff encountered were always smiling and ready to have a chat. Great stay, would definetely choose Best Western in the future. Oh and free wifi and on loan dvd's, fantastic!

    « Well located »

Close to the town center, you can walk everywhere. Comfortable rooms, not very roomy. No patio or balcony for the rooms on the ground floors. Small pool. Unexpensive breakfast. Kalbarri's a great place for sport activities and the hotel is ideally located.

    « Good Hotel »

Stayed four nights on an out of season deal which was very good value. Rooms were all spacious , clean and had everything needed for a holiday including cooking facilities. BBQ on the balcony was an added extra. The only downside to the hotel is that the balcony faces west and in the sunny summer evenings it gets too hot to enjoy in the early evening . Pool is fairly small but was a good temperature for November. Short walk to town and beach from the hotel.

« Clean, Well appointed and good location »

Loved this place. Spent two nights here. We went on a Groupon deal. What great value this was. Clean and modern with a spa bath. The room had a kitchen, bbq, washing machine / dryer too. We could walk to the beach and the shops and the hotel. What a great place to stay.

    « Couldn't fault it. »

We stayed on their deal as it was out of season. Lovely room with a great balcony. Good breakfast. I would stay there again even at their normal prices particularly as Kalbarri is a lovely area. If you are in WA don't miss it.

    « Party in Kalbarri »

Arrived after reception closed had code sms to open safe get key to my room. Nice big bed and a single bed good size ensuite great aircon. WiFi has to be the worse i have come across ever anywhere including overseas it is terrible that is once you get it working if you can.

    « An Oasis »

After spending a week sleeping on the ground up at Coral Bay I was tired and sore. I had the most amazing sleep here. Ever! I purchased a groupon deal for two nights for a spa room. The spa was just the thing for my poor muscles. The owners were super friendly and the meals in the restaurant were divine. Will definitely be back. free wifi too!!

    « Terrible management »

We booked to stay 4 nights.. No power 1 day which was unpleasant but warning would have been nice... Dave the manager is a rude insulting lazy slob.. Mice in our bbq rubbish on our balcony old carpet left in thorough fair..his response not my problem and what do you want?! Never again disappointing best western ... Kalbarri however is a lovely town with beautiful people... Not sure Dave fits in here.. He ruined our stay here.. Thank god for the awesome people here

« Beautiful property; welcoming staff »

We spent two nights at the Kalbarri Edge Resort. We had a lovely one bedroom apartment by the pool. It was very spacious with a full living room, a dining table for four as well as a fully stocked kitchen with a two-burner stove top, a full refrigerator, a microwave and a dishwasher. Coffee/tea and milk were provided. The apartment patio had a table & seating for four plus a BBQ. There was a small washer/dryer in the huge bathroom (that included a spa tub). The washer worked great but we found it easier to dry our clothes outside rather than using the dryer function. We chose to cook for ourselves and there was a nearby IGA which had everything we needed. We enjoyed a great stay and were able to very easily access Kalbarri National Park ? a ?must do? when you're in the area. We recommend the Kalbarri Edge Resort for a short stay like ours or an even longer stay!

    « Beautiful holiday accommodation! »

We bought a Groupon voucher for a three night stay in an executive spa suite, including bottle of wine and restaurant voucher. Facilities were very nice. Spacious suite with huge bathroom including laundry and full kitchen. Nice balcony with barbecue. Close to foreshore. Would stay here again.

« Great Place to Stay »

From the moment we arrived this resort impressed us both. The service was second to none easy check in even though we arrived late at night. Easy walking distance to all the town's attractions of which there are plenty - we only needed the car for the visit to Red Bluff and a few other remote locations. The room is absolute value for money had a spa double room very spacious and loved the spa after the long drive. The rooms were spotless and came with all amenities including a dishwasher. The breakfasts (we didn't eat there in the evenings) were beautiful - cooked to perfection by Andrew (who seems to be absolutely in the know - if you want to know anything just ask him!) is the brekkie chef and nothing is too much work for this guy service with a smile and great food. We'll definitely be going again we loved it.

« The fillet steak was delicious best I have had in years. »

Room was well presented and service was great. Julian does a great job at breakfast. Plenty to do around Kalbarri especially in an outdoor sense. Pubs are good serving good meals also. Loop walk worth doing just take note of the temp.

    « Faultless »

Bought a coupon on our deal for an executive suite with spa for $499 for 5 nights. Excellent stay with great facilities and super friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was superb at the resort and we also tried the gorges cafe for breakfast which I also recommend but not for coffee. Also tried Shawnys for a home cooked meal and ended up choosing a lamb shank night - lets just say the lamb shanks were cooked to perfection. The resort itself is in close proximity to everything in town via walking and 5-10 mins walking down to the beach. All in all a great resort with great room facilities with helpful staff in a nice seaside town. Would highly recommend the Edge for anyone wanting a relaxing and enjoyable place to stay in Kalbarri.

« Perfect place to stay »

The accommodation is very spacious, modern and comfortable. It is really well equipped, with a kitchen including dish washer. There is a spa bath and separate shower. There is also a washing machine. A continental breakfast is included and we received a very nice bottle of Margaret River wine an chocolates on our arrival when we stayed on the 3 day deal, which is excellent value for money.. We love visiting Kalbarri and would definitely book this accommodation again. We have stayed at several other hotels/motels in Kalbarri and this is by far the best one. Free Wi-Fi and parking.

    « Jewell in Kalbarri »

We had booked the Kalbarri Edge Resort through a voucher so had no idea what we were getting. When we arrived we were greeted by a nice gentleman at the reception, he was very prompt and explained what was available at the resort. Our room was on the first floor of the block. Although only accessible by stairs it was easy to get to. The unit was very spacious, you walked into the kitchen, dining room and lounge, the bedroom was huge with a king size bed and off that was the bathroom with spa, shower, toilet and washing machine. The bedroom and main living area both had split system air conditioners for those very hot days. The Kalbarri Edge Resort is located on Porter St, not far from the Tavern and the Pub. It is a 5 minute walk to the estuary which is lovely to walk around in the morning or when the sun is setting. As we travelled out of school holiday time it was very quiet.

« Excellent stay and value for money »

We stayed for three nights at the end of our WA holiday. It was fantastic, the best accommodation and value for money for the entire trip. Reception and restaurant staff friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean, could not be faulted. The bathroom was great, so clean - shower recess, tiles, grouting, toilet and hand basin. The shower was also large and roomy. Lovely white linen - bedding and bathroom. WIFI was really good also. Would love to stay again, and would definitely recommend.

We stayed 3 nights. Everything we needed was there. WIFI was great. Skype with my family in Holland. Loved the Jacuzzi. Pool area was lovely and well looked after. Can hear the neighbours if they are with children. This is my 2nd time there.Highly recommended.

    « Value for money »

I purchased a 3 nights groupon voucher which is 50% off the normal price. For that we had a 1 bedroom apartment including a balcony with a weber. The apartment was well equipped. Everything we needed was there. The bathroom was huge with a Jacuzzi. The WIFI signals were strong. We didn't try out the pool or the gym but they do look pretty decent.

« Very good stay, but noisy at night if you have neighbors »

It was great to speak with front office lady, she recommended lots of things to do in town and nearby. The chef is also nice and restaurant has a good variety of fresh food. Our room was small but functional and clean with a queen size and a single bed. The only small problem is that we could hear lots of noise from different neighbor rooms (TV, doors, etc...).

    « Great stay »

The hotel is nicely located and set up. We had a studio appartment. It was nice and had everything we wanted. We didn't quite realise that the studio appartements didn't have a balcony. We missed that. Loved the Kalbarri National Park. The Loop is a great walk 2 do!

« Great place to stay. »

Our one-bedroom apartment was super spacious with a huge bathroom/laundry. The kitchen was modern and well-equipped; there was a large living and dining area and outside, a generous balcony with tables and chairs, plus a BBQ. The only downside was the parking. We were fortunate to get parking near our apartment, but it was more good luck than good management. There was additional parking behind the block of apartments opposite us, but it would not have been convenient for transferring luggage and other items. The resort was also within close walking distance to the small shopping centre and tour buses pick up from the complex.

« Great little resort in Kalbarri »

Have stayed here before and found it to be excellent. Stayed this time with the family and was equally happy. Had a spa room which is a decent size one bedroom with lounge and dining area. The pool was good and even managed a few games of chess on the set by the pool. Service was good and friendly.

    « Great size rooms »

Booked the special of $399 for 3 nights in a King executive spa suite. It included continental breakfast (or upgrade to include cooked for $10), we also got a lovely bottle of Margaret river SSB and chocolates on arrival. Our room was located on the ground floor opposite reception - rooms are a great size - living/dining/kitchenette with tv and Foxtel. Outdoor area was lovely with bbq, table and chairs king size bed and huge bathroom which included laundry. The only 'tiny' complaint for this room was that it was a downstairs room facing towards town, no window at the front meant that the rooms were very dark. Being downstairs as well, you hear everything from the rooms upstairs. However, overall it was lovely. Breakfast was sufficient - cereals, toast, yoghurt, pastries and fresh fruit. Only instant coffee though! All the staff we encountered were lovely and couldn't do enough for you. I would definitely recommend staying here

    « amazing »

I recently stayed at the Kalbarri Edge Resort. The room we had was absolutely spotless, it made our stay relaxing and it is the perfect place to stay as it has a kitchen, a spa and an outdoor BBQ area which is splendid. Parking was easy and close to your apartment/ property. I will definitely be back and will recommend the Kalbarri edge to my friends.

« Every part of our stay was perfect »

I cannot recommend Kalbarri Edge too highly. We asked for a quiet room as we are poor sleepers. We were given a perfect spot well away from the pool area and slept like logs! The amenities are very good. Many extra little touches. The room was very clean and the bathroom/laundry/ spa bathroom was lovely and big. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Extremely good value for money. A perfect homely base for seeing all the local attractions. Our batteries are completely recharged. Thank you. We hope to be back very soon.

« Brillant spot to break a long trip/stay longer »

Had 5 rooms booked all together in 1 block, really great clean accommodation. confortable beds. Children went swimming and then walking with parents and had a great time. would highly recommend this place to stay to anyone.
