Best Western Dos Rios - The rooms/beds are so very comfortable - and very clean! Breakfasts had a really terrific selection of foods/beverages. Entire staff, including front desk, kitchen area, and housekeeping were each one friendly, courteous, very professional and customer-oriented. They were pleasantly accommodating with guests requests. Exceeded expectations.
Great stop between on the way back to San Antonio from West Texas. Modern hotel, comfortable rooms, fast internet and good cable TV. Slept like a baby in a nice bed. Many good restaurants in the area, this will definitely be one of my go-to resting spots while traveling long distances.
A great choice for safe, clean, comfortable room. Best night's sleep I've had in awhile. Quiet and close to whatever you need.
This is a clean, comfortable hotel. It needs to be updated, but I had a nice stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good with a variety of choices. My only complaint was the TV did not work and there was a slow drain in the shower. I would stay again.
After a long tiring day of traveling the Texas Interstate, this Best Western Motel gave us a truely warm welcome to two weary 70 plus travelers. The receptionist quickly helped us through the registration process and located our previous stays with Best Western, which helped expedite the check in. The motel eas easy to find, access was exceptional and parking was easy. The bedroom was clean, neat and all in order. All devices were working and easy to find and use. The only surprise was the cable television would not respond to the remote control. I asked the receptionist about my problem and she informed me that sometimes the cleaning staff sometimes moves or bumps the television sensor cable where it does not see the remote signal. Sure enough, problem solved, several hundred stations were now availible. The bed was clean and very comfortible, we both had a great restfull sleep. Breakfast was an over-the-mark wellcome with hot bacon, eggs, sausage, grits, biscuits and gravy, plus waffles with strawberrys, blueberrys, cooked apples and topped with powdered sugar and topped with whipped cream! This probably sounds like I am exaggerating, but thats what I had, more garnishing than even what my mother had for me 70 years ago! Check out was easy with no surprises, and needless to say we were disappointed that we had to leave for another long day of road travel!
Have stayed at the Dos Rios Best Western many times over the past 2 years. I have never been disappointed! The staff is always so friendly and helpful. The breakfast is outstanding. Always fresh and tasty. Price right. Won't even consider any other place when I'm in Juction!
Over all a good room, pleasant and clean plenty of room and had a good nights rest.too tired to enjoy the pool but it like lots of looked clean too. Breakfast was the highlight of the morning with fresh coffee and plenty of good morning food .
Stayed at Dos Rios for an annual golf tournament. Very friendly staff. Room was nice and clean. AC worked great even with outside temps in our west facing room reaching 104 degrees. Nice breakfast area with those great Texas shaped waffles and plenty of fresh coffee and snacks. Good WiFi service and nice selection of TV channels to watch.
There is not a lot of quality motels in Junction City. Selected Best Western for being pet friendly even with it's high $50 pet fee. The room was not clean; gritty floor, someone had laid on the bed, the ice bucket not emptied and the coffee maker not cleaned. The bed was average. Disappointed for the price.
Great stay here. First off I'd like to thank the gentleman who took my booking, wish I got his name. He took my call and went and personally checked a detail in the room while I was on hold. Most hotels I've called guess or say I don't know! So kudos to him for checking for me because it made me book here and not somewhere else. All staff I encountered were friendly. Breakfast had lots of options the next morning. We took time to enjoy the outdoor pool as well. Room was clean and spacious.
Staff were great, smiling, friendly and happy to help. Breakfast was very good with a wide variety. Husband loved the freshly baked biscuits!! Fruit, yogurt and fresh waffles were a big hit, too!!!!!!
Not much in this town, but hotel is right off the freeway. Older property, with access to rooms from outside corridor. Two story building. Very nice breakfast, and attendant was very nice. They served pigs in a blanket! (They are called kolachos) Bed was ok, I was cold as the blanket is very thin with just a sheet on the top. Very large room. Lots of hot water. It is pretty close to the freeway so you can hear the noise a little, but not bad .Check in staff was very nice. No usb plugs. There are a few restaurants close by, but service was really slow.
We have stayed at this hotel several times over the last couple of years. It has never let us down! The entire staff is great! Everyone is helpful and always friendly. The breakfast is the best ever! Great selection, always stocked, and the hot is hot and the cold is cold. Going to Junction? Don't look any further than Dos Rios!
Property located in a cluster of 3 hotels adjacent to i-10 (noise was non-existent). Hotel is older, but rooms have been updated with laminate flooring, which was good. Bath has a new vanity, but remainder needs updated. TV had movies (good), but no local channels (no football?). Check-in /service was very friendly. Breakfast good one day, not as good the second. Would probably try the newer Holiday inn next door if I needed to stay again.
Over the last 9 years my wife and I have always stayed at this hotel when we are in the Junction area. The beds are always comfortable, the rooms are always clean, and the hotel's location is in a quiet place for a restful nights sleep. My wife and I stayed here on the night of 1/1/23. The person who checked us in was friendly and helpful (which has been the norm for us), and the rooms and beds were just as great as before. This visit would have been a 5 star review, but the breakfast is the reason for the 3 star review. In all our previous visits, the breakfasts were incredible; hot scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage, toast, bagels and more. However on this visit, instead of pure scrambled eggs, they had some sort Mexican style eggs with poor tasting meat mixed in it. Instead of bacon or sausage, they served refried beans, tortillas and salsa. And there was no toast or bagels. The breakfast area did provide good coffee, yogurt, granola bars, waffles, and hash browns, but we had trouble getting any breakfast. The breakfast area was literally filled with kids who (along with their parents) cut in line and consumed just about everything the cook brought out immediately upon refilling the food trays. This happened twice. The cook even asked the kids and their parents to not cut in line, but they didn't appear to understand English or didn't care, so it was to no avail. Then the third time the cook came out to refill the food trays, the same thing happened, but my wife was able to get some waffles, and I was able to get a small helping of their eggs, which as mentioned before were not good. We ended up having to get breakfast at a place in town. The delicious, all-American breakfasts this hotel served on our previous visits was something my wife and I always looked forward to when staying here. Hopefully that will resume.
This was the first time in many years that we stayed at a Best Western. This location provided exemplary service. Very clean and staff were very friendly & helpful. We will definitely stay here again in future travels to this area.
given what was described as suite second floor...very tired furniture, dirty woodwork around bathroom doors...disgusting mold in bathtub, dog quickly found cheerios left under sofa by previous guest...breakfast room and lobby nice shape, not like room we were given
Nice place. Clean and well kept. Staff was cordial helpful and kind and professional. Internet was strong and clear. TV is good. Parking was good and well lighted. East access from the interstate and close to town. Near good food establishments.
After traveling all day across south Texas, this was a welcome sight. This hotel seems to be following the high standards that Best Western wants to maintain. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. No issues here. We would stay here again.
When traveling to Junction this the only place we consider. The staff is outstanding. Great breakfast. Super clean rooms. Always thanked for being a platinum member and offered complimentary bottled water.
Recently redecorated, this was a great stop on our cross country trip. Rooms are very large, stylishly decorated, clean and comfortable. Desk and breakfast staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and extensive with lots of hot and cold choices. Rating of 4 on sleep quality was due to neighbor next door who took her barking dog out early and beeped her car open and closed repeatedly. Bad neighbor but no reflection on BW. Would definitely stay here again.
The outside of the hotel doesn't do this place justice. The rooms are clean, quiet and well kept up. The breakfast was better than the other name brand hotels. All of this at a cheaper rate and able to take our dog with us.
The property is hidden up a side street - but the GPS took me with no problem. Check-in was efficient and friendly. I received the room type I requested. I enjoyed a dip in the pool after a day of travel. The pool was clean and there were plenty of towels. The WIFI and TV worked great. The refrigerator in the room had a freezer compartment, which was good for my ice packs. The room was nicely furnished, the bed was comfortable, and the shower was good. The breakfast was OK, nothing special - but adequate. I appreciated that they had bottled water. I took two bottles, which were handy on the long day's drive ahead. The only thing that may be considered a problem by some is that the room doors open to the outside. However, there are good locks on the doors, and I felt secure.
After being a long time member of the Comfort Suites brand I will be switching to this hotel brand. The previous brand has gone downhill in service, care, and cleanliness. This is my 4th time staying with a Best Western Plus hotel and each time the staff have been wonderful, rooms thoroughly cleaned (being a nurse I notice all the details), and everything is in full service including pool, fitness center, and full breakfast (they aren't using that COVID excuse like the previous brand still does). Wish the room was a tad cheaper.
We stopped at this motel at the recommendation of AAA, sinceit allowed pets. However, it turned out to be one of the best facilities that we stayed at during an 11 day trip to see family and friends in Colorado Springs, CO and San Antonio,TX. I would not hesitate to stay there again, should my travels take me to that area again. Survey takers please note that you can be in the category of traveling with family and traveling with a pet or pets.
Quiet hotel, nice room and the staff was soooo helpful. Our room was booked upstairs (no elevator) and with my back issues I needed a downstairs room. Ashley was so helpful and was able to move us to a downstairs room! Breakfast was GREAT! Overall we would definitely stay here again!
We showered and then our feet were BLACK from walking around the hotel room. Disgusting. We had to wash our feet again and bring our shoes to the bathroom so that we could put them on before leaving the bathroom.
Nice room with a very comfortable bed. Good location next to stores and a few restaurants for a quick bit to eat and refueling up to next destination. Checking in and out was quick and hassle free making our visit as more convenient and comfortable. We will definitely stop by again if we are in the area during our next family trip!
Stayed here while we enjoyed driving the Twisted Sisters and taking in small towns and scenery. Excellent service and staff was extremely helpful. We were able to check in early and start enjoying our stay. I would totally recommend staying here and look forward to visiting again!
I have property close to Junction and travel there at least once a month. The people have always been friendly and helpful. The breakfast is the best! I don't even consider any other hotel when I travel to Juction.
Nice motel with park at door feature (for first floor units). great area with open space for walking dogs. near by restaurant and Pilot truck stop with great food selection. Good wifi signal. Will stay again.
This hotel was perfect for me the staff was excellent and their handicap rooms are very roomy . They all made me and my service dog very welcomed and I couldn't of been happier with another hotel tyvm
Looked "ok" from the outside, but pitifully poor inside. Cleanliness was fair. Staff was very pleasant. We were glad this was just for 1 night. Didn't eat any breakfast there. The place is pretty old, with outside parking right by your door--convenient, but not great when everyone starts leaving at 5 am.
The motel is older but well kept up. The carpets had just been cleaned and were ever so slightly damp, but it is comforting to know that they were clean! The room was dated, but clean. The front desk staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, pointing us to the best place in town to eat.
U can't expect much for 99$—except super nice clerks who upgrade u to the suite since it's very late and it's available, or the staff who put OREO pieces for the WAFFLE topping, or the great veg omelets with shredded cheese! Loved this stop❤️
The staff at the front and breakfast room are nice. The hotel surrounding is well kept. The breakfast fast is very good and provides variety of pastries and breakfast choices. They even have boiled eggs and shredded cheese for the scrambled eggs. They even have almond milk. The breakfast staff was constantly disinfecting the tables. She kept the room tidy. She was constantly refilling and restocking the food and supplies. I think the hotel needs a little improvement on the room. It had a slight smell of mildew and maybe provide extra towels. Otherwise, we had a pleasant stay.
We had a brief one-night stay and enjoyed the hotel. The desk clerk was very accommodating about letting me check out the room before checking in (I wanted to be sure it didn't have highway noise, and it was fine.) The decor is rather outdated but the room was large and comfortable. Overall the hotel had a pleasant atmosphere and we enjoyed our stay.
Convenient off I-10 with basic motel accommodations. Outside entry and onsite parking. Clean rooms but small bug problem outside. Breakfast available with eggs and sausage and toast. Nice checkin staff. No elevator and we had some people who seemed drunk who tried to get into our locked room by accident. If you need a basic accommodation in Junction, TX that allows pets this can work. The pet charge $25 is reasonable considering many places charge much higher.
This is our preferred hotel when visiting family in junction. The rooms are always clean. Friendly staff and they have a great hot breakfast. Conveniently located right off I-10. Would highly recommend this hotel.
Traveling from El Paso to Corpus Christi, this was an excellent choice of accommodations along the route! Clean, updated, with all the necessities, and friendly staff. This is the place where you can still get a complete, hot breakfast!
The room smelled like mold and the bed was horrible to sleep on. I would not recommend this BW to anyone. There's an holiday inn express that I would refer people too. Absolutely dissatisfaction for this stay.
We only stayed 2 nights but the price for those 2 nights were amazing, we enjoyed the view and pool. The service was great, checking in and out was fast. I would take my family back again. I was very pleased with this hotel!
It's hard to explain, but upon entering our room, there was a wonderful, although slight, clean smell (not overpowering). The decor and the size of our room was so welcoming. Of course the bathroom was spotless and all towels and linens were wonderful. When traveling 8000 miles annually cross country and back home, we have come to depend on the amenities and cleanliness of Best Western; we have never been disappointed!
Did not realize the hotel had no internal hallways. Very old hotel. Neighbors were very loud with music and drinking. Did not feel all that safe. Breakfast is still very limited and Covid is no excuse for that.
Check in was quick and efficient. The Front desk agent was amazing! Room was cozy, bedding was clean, stain free. Bathroom was clean and surprisingly large. TV worked well and I slept great! I had to leave early so I was not able to see the breakfast options. 10/10 would recommend. I will stay here again!
having to spend 20 minutes, including a discussion with the front desk, on why the tv was showing 'no signal' was very frustrating...all the front desk would say was to change the tv from channel 3 or channel 4, when part of the problem was the cox tv box was unplugged. I should not have to research or go through a process of elimination to figure out how to get the tv to work...why, as part of the room inspection, the TV could not be checked is a mystery. this is not the only best western this has happened in.
This apparently is BW's new motto. Retreat to 1950's motel design—think 2 story with long open walkway for second floor. Think no convenient elevator. Think carrying bags up flight of outside stairs. Think thin towels & listening to garbage truck emptying dumpster at 5 am. Think retreating in every way EXCEPT price. Suggestion: look at outside pictures of hotel & NOT glamor shot of rooms. This reward member will not be staying here or any other BW!
This is an older hotel but they've done a lot to keep it in good condition. It's easy off and on if you're traveling on I-10 and are ready to call it a night. Rooms face the outside. They are larger, as they are in older hotels, and our room showed some wear. But, it was comfortable, and the complimentary breakfast was acceptable.
Dos Rios Rocks!! Excellent service, courteous staff, helpful. Gave excellent directions, parking issues no issues there. I would highly recommend Dos Rios for the pride and excellence of the small town.
I needed a place to stop for the night on a long road trip. This Best Western delivered a great value and friendly, professional service. I came in late and left early but had no issues at all. The room was clean and all items were in working order.
great staff. quick check in and check out. located left behind articles and held them to be picked up. room was clean. no out side noise. very large bed. good pressured shower .easy to located . rooms readily available to the parking lot.
They hotel staff is extremely nice and the hotel is very clean we really enjoyed our stay. Due to covid there were limited breakfast selections but it was still good. Normally they have a wonderful full breakfast to provide. The hotel is quite and peaceful.
I did not have reservations and walked in and was able to get a room at a competitive rate. I was thoroughly pleased with everything. The front desk gal was friendly & polite. The room was clean and really nice. The place was well lit at night. Internet was fast. Breakfast was provided (unlike other chains that I had stayed) with individually wrapped hot and cold items that met covid-19 conditions. I liked it so much that I canceled my other 2 reservations and made them with Best Western in the same towns for the next week.
Hotel staff were friendly and very helpful. The breakfast staff put a lot of time into making our fresh breakfast. They followed all COVID rules but still found a way to make us feel like home. Room was clean, bed was comfortable and overall stay was excellent! We drove in with a semi and there was plenty of parking across the street in a vacant lot.
Pool was nice because I had it to myself. Rooms could have been cleaner. A/C worked really good. They need to show the maids how to clean correctly. There were thing's behind the TV countertop. Toilet ran constant till I took the lid off back of toilet. For the price paid it could have been much nicer. I did appreciate the morning cook making me a to go bag
This location is really nice and the staff extremely friendly. I have historically stayed at La Quinta, but they are still charging the same prices and providing NOTHING to eat in the morning for guests. In some locations even the coffee is even questionable. I have had 2 recent stays at Best Western and plan to make it the new norm. Although modified, Best Western is still making an effort to provide something for guests to hit the road with.
I made a quick 2 day stay and was very pleased. The cleanliness and sanitization of the room were more than I expected. I have 2 little girls and they were very happy the pool was open. The laundry lady was very helpful in providing them with pool towels
Typical best western quality... love the water pressure at this location... very strong... great while taking a hot shower... only down side to my stay was the excessive noise the housekeeping folks made super early in the morning while cleaning rooms above the lower floor... almost as if they are trying to wake the folks up to get them to get up and leave early... other than that.. was a decent stay..
From front desk to housekeeping, this hotel was among the friendliest, efficient and most accommodating stays I've had. Truly a wonderful team in place with a very clean and updated property. I would recommend as well as stay here again.
This is a great motel. Rooms are clean, a very good, hot breakfast that is complimentary, and the area is quiet which make for a good nights sleep. Blaze, who coordinated our reservation, was helpful, nice, and very accommodating. If in the Junction, Texas area, I would recommend staying here.
Hotel location was good. Our room was on the ground floor, we were traveling with 2 pets, so It was very convenient. Room was clean and comfortable. Only negative was there were not many places to eat nearby.
Can't complain. Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, and they have breakfast in the morning. Pet friendly with a large field to walk your furry friend. If I was passing through Junction TX again I'd stop here
We were in town to visit the Christmas lights in the park. Bautiful! The Best Western was very clean and bright. The employee were friendly. Our room was comfortable with ample room. The morning breakfast was fresh, hot and tasty. The lady tending the breakfast was nicely attentive. We definitely will stay here again.
nice view near river. great local bb que rest. staff was professional and friendly. coffee was available and hott. ample parking. great rates. great best western rewards program. management showed a direst interest in customers.
We enjoy heading to the Texas hill country once or twice a year. We always stay in various places...until now. From this point on we will probably just be staying at the Best Western Dos Rios in Junction, Texas. The folks who run this establishment honestly do treat the guests more like family than strangers. Everyone on staff that we encountered went above and beyond for the guests. From the housekeeper (so sweet, and our room was spic and span), to smiley and friendly Donna in the amply supplied breakfast room, to the manager and employees at the front desk. All anyone wanted to know is how they could better serve you. The entire staff was a breath of fresh air...truly. We will be back!!!
It was a very comfortable stay. The staff was exceptional. The room had slight aging but a very nice place to stay. It has no elevator but only 2 stories. A nice restaurant close by. I would stay again if in the area. Close to the freeway but very little noise, if any.
Everything about this Best Western Inn was top notch. Checkin was a breeze, and all questions were answered promptly and with a smile. Restaurant recommendations proved to be right on the money. Breakfast was ready on time and cheerfully.
Card keys provided did not work, room had strong cigarette smell, big stains on carpet, bugs on the floor in the room, tv remote did not work, room was very humid as AC appeared to be struggling to take humidity out of the air. Because of high humidity, bed clothes and carpet felt slightly damp. Breakfast room was very clean, food very good and there were ample food choices.
The hotel manager was very accommodating in setting up our group of rooms and when it was time to stay at the hotel, she was friendly and welcoming! The staff was also very friendly and made us feel welome.
We stayed one night (August 24) and arrived to a very nice, clean room. We heard crickets outside but didn't realize till we woke that the crickets had come in the room. When we opened door to outside, a ton of crickets came in room and there were hundreds of the critters in front of our room. While we realize this is out of the hotel's control (hence the 4 star review) it was a bit unnerving.
Having stayed at the Dos Rios for the past several years, we are always pleased with the services we receive from the staff. Always clean, friendly, and helpful with any request. This is our go to place to stay for the Junction Rodeo Reunion weekend Highly recommend.
Made a last minute reservation they where very accommodating and helpfull very clean rooms and comfortable thank you. if we are passing through again and need a room I would definitely choose to stay here
This is a great stop on our way back from New Mexico. Friendly staff, clean, comfy, good breakfast and the price is right. I like that Best Western Hotels are independently owned and I like their awards program.
Enjoyed my stay. We were a late arrival and called early to ask for ground level and even though they were sold out when we arrived they not only had our room but it was on the ground level requiring no steps.
Our rooms were comfortable, and convenient for us when we arrived very late in the evening. The desk clerks were pleasant and efficient when I called for reservations, as well as at check in. It was a quick overnight, so other than the breakfast, we did not use any of the hotel amenities.
This hotel is so well maintained you'd think it was recently constructed. Convenient to Interstate 10, the location is close to a variety of restaurants and fuel stations. Lots of truck traffic nearby but the hotel at night was very quiet and I had no trouble sleeping. Bed was comfortable and everything in the room worked as it should. Hotel staff was friendly and went out of their way to ensure I was satisfied with my stay. Breakfast area was well stocked and immaculately clean. Pool area was also kept clean and inviting.
We stopped on our way to see our son in Houston. The room was clean and comfortable. The free breakfast was way above average. Many options to choose from such as eggs, waffles, bacon, biscuits and gravy etc. Friendly and helpful staff.
Best Western a very enjoyable night away from home I had a good experience and welcomed with smiles when I walked in the door to get my room everyone was very help and went out of their way to make me feel at home
Stayed there for first time. Clerks were over the top! Mentioned going to a restaurant for Texas BBQ, and was given a recommendation. That recommendation proved to provide me with the BEST Texas BBQ I've ever had! The staff upon check-out were equally attentive. When I mentioned I would be staying at the same hotel upon returning to my home, I was asked what type and location of room for the return, and was accomodated accordingly. The breakfast was, while not lacking, was surprising! Compared to other BW I have stayed with, it was top notch! The surprise was the Texas theme for the meal. Plentiful and varied. Two (2) different food options (full breakfast or lighter fare), was the biggest part of the surprise. The staff in the breakfast area was equally attentive as the desk staff. I will DEFINITELY stay here when I go back through that area!!!
Property: Old. Doors open on to the parking lot. Grounds maintained but show their age. Location: Near tow other hotels, Sonic and DQ. Other restaurants are about four miles away. I-10 is on the backside of the property. Check-in: Clerks friendly and efficient. Large, clean lobby area. No cookies. Rooms: We had large suite room. It was clean, but due to age the carpet was dirty. The bathroom had new tile. The faucet leaked and the sink plunger did not hold the water. The mattress was soft and lumpy. The A/C was overly efficient-cold air on bed occupants. Lots of truck noise with jake brakes on the interstate. Fitness Center: One bike, one treadmill, one elliptical, free weights, mats. The treadmill was broken. There were no cups for the water and no sanitary wipes. Business Center: One computer and one printer. It is in the lobby in full view. Pool: Medium size outdoor pool. Breakfast: Standard fare, well stocked.
Affordable rates, clean rooms, off the main road so it's nice and quiet. Breakfast was good, fun texas shaped waffles! I have no complaints at all. I'll probably stay here when I'm in town from now on.
A very quite and clean hotel in quaint Junction. Hotel staff are friendly, helpful and fun to deal with. Very good breakfast with numerous choices. Clean rooms, good internet. restaurants are less than 10 minutes drive from motel as are shopping and gas stations.
Thats why its called the Best Great room clean cofatable the bed was the best sleep i have had for ages towels were fluffy clean wifi fast check in was fast and very frendly made accomadations to fit my familys needs
This is an older hotel but kept maintained, clean and comfortable. The rooms are nice and clean and the beds were very comfortable. It is a good choice if you find yourself needing a place to stay in Junction, TX.
This hotel was great for us right off the interstate, the beds was good the front desk was great in telling us the food choices around, the rooms was well maintained and clean we will be staying here when working in the area again.
We made last minute travel arrangements and the room was not what we expected. We had insects in the room and the phone was damaged. Upon reporting to the staff, the staff quickly gave us another room. They were very helpful and we were satisfied with the better accommodations.
Moderately priced compared to new hotel next door. Smelled clean. Good for our stay in Junction. Breakfast good w Texas Waffles.lady at front desk nice. About 20 min from state park. Close to restaurants and small grocer.
We stayed one night while passing through the area. The woman who checked us in was very nice. The property has outside room entrances, and ours was on the second floor, so we had to lug our bags up the outside staircase. Our room itself was comfortable for an overnight stay and was clean. We had a loveseat and chair and the upholstery on both was in good condition. The bathroom wasn't the fanciest I've seen but it all worked fine. What didn't work was our tv. I learned about the outage, which the cable rep said likely would not be fixed that day, while still at the front desk after checking in. Frankly, I would expect to be told no tv before I checked in so I could make a decision whether to stay. But I was assured the WiFi worked well, so I did not make an issue of it and we stayed. Unfortunately, the WiFi worked only sporadically, disappearing frequently and being very slow when it was available. Maybe others were doing some serious streaming to make up for tv. Breakfast was what I expected. The hot water was actually hot, which I greatly appreciate for making a cup of tea. I expected to be offered some sort of compensation - a bottle of water? a few extra rewards points? - on checkout for the lack of tv and spotty WiFi, but nothing was forthcoming. I would stay here again.
Clean, modern room. Felt very safe at this hotel. Great location to restaurants and gas. A bit of highway noise, but once I was asleep I slept very well. Microwave, refrigerator, hair dryer, small closet.
Clean, comfortable, good value in a nice little town on I-10. Desk help is extreemly freindly and helpful. This an excelent place to rest up when traveling on I-10. I will be stopping in again very soon.
Very nice hotel. Everything was as expected. Comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They suggested Lums Bar B Q as the best in the area, We will stop there again when going through the area.
This is a somewhat dated motel, but it's spotlessly clean, and the staff are so warm and welcoming that it's a very nice and comfortable place to stay, especially if you've had a long drive through west Texas. The rooms are large, the beds are comfortable, and the room's lamps have connections to plug in chargers. The complimentary breakfast is tasty, and fresh coffee is available any time of day. Wi-if is decent and complimentary. The motel is quite convenient to I-10, and there are gas stations within a block.
We were on a long road trip and were delighted to see this hotel although we knew nothing about it. Once checked in we were delighted with the nice room...clean and welcoming. We had a great nights rest and when we went for breakfast must admit this was better than the usual hotel breakfast. delicious and we went back for seconds. The help in the breakfast room we comfortable and we would definitely stay here again.
I was totally satisfied with this hotel and every other Best Western Hotel we stayed in on our trip across country. Wonderful decor and size, price was great and the breakfast was complimentary, with a wide variety of choice. Best Western is my first choice of Hotel Chain.
We needed a place to stay for the night in the little burg of Junction, Texas. This hotel has spacious, clean, we'll appointed rooms. If we ever need to stay in Junction again, we'll definitely stay here.
Good Check-in went smoothly and they accommodated a request for a first floor room. They also did something no other hotel/motel has done – they called the room to see if the room met our expectations. The WiFi and ethernet worked well. They provide a no-slip mat for the tub bottom. The check-out went smoothly. Bad Found a long black hair in a hand towel, not good. There are no grab bars in or by the tub. The only breakfast item that was consistently hot was the oatmeal. All the other items that were supposed to be hot were just barely warm or cold and I could not find a microwave in the breakfast area to heat items. The early morning coffee in the lobby was not consistently hot; one morning it was just barely warm. One morning, the WiFi and ethernet were not working, even though they had been the previous evening. The staff said that only the manager could reboot the system. Really? What if the manager did not or could not come in one morning? What are hotel guests supposed to do? The internet was available later in the day, but what about the lost time for guests that had work to do online?
I can't really say anything was wrong except that the hotel seems very old and crying out for updating. They are building another hotel behind it and I hope it's a new Best Western. The bed was comfortable and the staff pleasant but the room felt very old and used.
Made reservation via BestWestern.com and insisted that I get a ground floor room. I travel with a 300 pound case of equipment and there is no way I can drag it up two flights of stairs. The ground floor was assured. I made a marathon drive from NE New New Mexico to Junction. The woman at the desk then tells me they do not honor BestWestern.com and I should have called. The only room left was top floor, and no elevator. If Best Western can't trust their hotel owners to honor internet reservations I don't think I can use them in the future. Best Western, you can have your Gold Card and "points" back, I'm not returning to this chain when I travel.
Night manager was extremely rude and unprofessional. No rooms available in hotel, a young man that had just lost his wife and child was in the parking lot trying to get his head wrapped around the situation. Carly came out and told him to leave because he didn't have a room or she would call the sheriff. I was speaking to the young man and trying to help him figure something out and she kept telling him to leave. He finally left, extremely upset and then she started telling me that if I didn't want to stay there that I could leave and she would refund my money. She didn't have any compassion at all for a young man that had just lost his entire family. Unacceptable.
The hotel and staff are what I have come to expect from the BW chain. Room was as expected as well. If you are a Verizon cell customer you will have no cell service in the City of Junction. that is not a BW issue but disappointing if you need to talk to someone.
The staff greets snd speaks with rveryone who enters the lobby. This is an older motel, but clean and comfortable rooms, the be bed was soft! Breakfast was alright, eggs bacon and toast. At chech out the staff was again very polite .... an enjoyable experience
One week into our 2 week road trip we booked the BW Dos Rios for one night. Very friendly staff got us checked in quickly and gave us a "spot on" dinner suggestion. Our first floor room was very nice and everything worked. My bed was a tad too soft, but I got a good night's sleep. Checkout was quick and easy. We'd come back here.
There aren't many choices when you come to Junction Texas. This Best Western is the best choice in all of Junction Texas I have stayed at the other places and I will only be staying at this place in the future. Very clean very clean very clean, average morning breakfast. Could sure use a few more plugs in the rooms, but I guess I'm a plug Pig and need to plug in so many devices I always bring extra spiders to be sure I have enough plugs. Slept well everything is clean this is the best you going to get in Junction Texas. And there ain't anything good for a hundred miles in any direction
What a nice place to stop. The receptionist was top notch, even called our room to see if we needed anything. I was shocked when the phone rang! The room smelled fresh, it was clean, beds and pillows were comfortable. When I checked out they actually showed the Rate Discount for being a reward member. It was the first time after being on the road for 12 nights that I felt not being taken advantage of because we were older adults. We will stay here again if we are ever out that way.
I stayed here one night for a family function. I reserved two rooms. Upon arrival the lady on duty, Ms Torres, made sure rooms were together. She was very efficient and pleasant. Rooms were very clean, plenty of supplies and quite.
The hotel is fantastic. The beds, pillows, sheets, bathroom, the A/C unit, and TV are all top notch. The lighting of course is the weak buy-the-dimmest-bulb-possible style of lighting but that seems to be the norm across all hotels. WiFi is adequate but don't expect to do much business on your computer here. The weather was cold and icy during our stay and the staff salted the walkways and stairs appropriately for our safety and that was very much appreciated. Other than a dimly lit room, it was the perfect stay. It is highly recommended if you need to stay in or around Junction.
We stopped in for a nights rest during our road trip. Our two kids were exhausted and the exit only had three hotels, the best western being one of them. I quickly looked up reviews and everyone seemed to rave about the friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms and yummy free breakfast. They all couldn't have been so right! After completeing my check in process the lovely lady behind the counter offered us help since our room was on the second floor. She also purposely put us right by the stairs for easy to and from with our 7 and 2 year old, my husband and I were very apperciative of this! This hotel definitely lived up to it's hype! To top it off, they offer a military discount!!!
we will stay here again it was very nice. Staff was very good , the room was very nice, could have been cleaned a little better found gum under table, but over all was cleaned pretty good. Will stay there again.
My Family had a great Stay here each staff always has a Warm Smile on their face always attended to your every need... Called the room to make sure everything was okay .! That was great! Such Friendly staff!!!!
A clean hotel, nice beds, good wi-fi this is good stopping point to big bend. The hotel is located close to the interstate and food choices in the area. The staff was nice and there is a breakfast included in your stay at the hotel.
Clean and comfortable rooms with easy access to I 10, restaurants, and the South Llano River State Park make this hotel a good choice for a stay in Junction. The included breakfast choices could stand improvement but are generally in keeping with the industry standard. The hotel staff are friendly and welcoming.
Had a one night stay as I traveled across country. Staff was great, accommodations were great. Very neat and clean, Doesn't get any more convenient to the highway. Finding it is not a problem. Excellent area to exercise and potty your pets.
My car broke down on a road trip and I found myself unexpectedly in need of a pet friendly hotel. The women at the front desk were very friendly and welcoming and sensitive to my situation. The room was clean and comfortable and I thought it was a good value for the rate. Breakfast options were good and having access to onsite laundry facilities proved to be very convenient.
Newest hotel in Junction . About 10 years old but very well taken care of and very and mini fridge an clean. We stayed.in a king suite as that is all they had left at our late check in. Very nice with bedroom and sitting area with sleeper sofa and tv area also micro and mini fridge and coffee maker. Late 12 pm checkout Very good full breakfast was included breakfast bar including waffell maker and biscuits and gravy that were awesome. Will stay here again next time in area. Note keep a/c fan on and you will not hear the traffic on I10
The best hotel in this part of the country, staff makes it wonderful and I am thankful for the way they do their job and being very nice. Every time I have stayed the service has been excellent, clean rooms, located not to far from the freeway but far enough to sleep well.
Off I-!0 so very convenient. Restaurants within walking distance and not far away. The stall was efficient and kind and rooms were clean. Breakfast was good with Texas shaped waffles that were fun. Close to Llano River State Park. Beautiful country!
Good The check in was friendly and the desk clerk kindly changed our room to a first floor room to accommodate my wife's handicap since there is no elevator. The computer desk chair can be raised to a proper height for typing. Bad This hotel is shown in Trip Advisor as Best Western Plus. The Plus indicates an elevator is available as well as a higher level of amenities. This is not a Plus Best Western as there is no elevator. The Ethernet jack did not work. When WiFi is used, the user name is already filled in the user name field and the password is part of the hotel name. This is not good WiFi security. The computer desk chair does not have arms for resting.
This is a great hotel with great staff. We stay in 4 star hotel mostly but we attended a wedding and needed to stay stay close by. We were very pleasantly surprised. I will stay there again next time we visit family!
I make reservations for hotel stays for my company and I have NEVER had a hotel employee treat me so badly as Carla did at the Best Western in Junction, Texas. Our company utilizes credit card authorization forms to pay for the rooms on behalf of the employee. These are filled out and faxed by our purchaser. This particular hotel does not place this form where other shifts are able to find it. When my employees were unable to check in because no payment form had been received (it really had been received but placed in a locked filing cabinet) they called me. I called the front desk and was immediately inundated with hostility by Carla. She hung up on me when I asked her why she was giving me the hard time when I simply faxed it over. I called back immediately and she told me that she found the form and then promptly hung up on me again. I was appalled at her treatment to not only myself but to my employees.
We really enjoyed our stay at this wonderful motel. While it is far from new, this place has been well maintained. Don't street appraise this property. Not sure what the other reviewers saw or smelled but our room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The front deck folks for very friendly and accommodating. Would not hesitate to recommend!
Very disappointed in accommodations. The room did not have a fresh clean smell. It was musty and unpleasant. The breakfast area had an odor and unable to eat breakfast due to smell. I would never recommend or stay here again.
Very nice older hotel, although close the the interstate the room was very quite, no truck or traffic noise. We were greeted by friendly and helpful late night staff, and refered to local repair shops for a vehicle problem we had, got it repaired the next day, we were allowed a very reasonable late check out package that we needed as we were traveling with two small pets. Very good place to stay, will stop here on my next trip out that way
The room had an unpleasant odor, not very clean, poor lighting & need a complete renovation. You might try Ozona Texas rather than stopping in Junction. Ozona has a Holiday Inn Express Inn & Suites & a Hamption Inn, I will not make this mistake again.
I really enjoyed my stay! The place is very clean, and very quiet. Plenty of parking for truckers, as well! My bed was comfortable, and breakfast was Da Bomb! Carly and Cathy are two of the employees I encountered during my stay. Their kind and humble demeanor are exactly what I've come to expect from the good folk in the Texas Hill Country! I highly recommend this place!
We enjoyed our stay from the time we entered the lobby until the time we left. We Appreciate the wonderful customer service and the nice clean rooms. The breakfast was also very good and there was a lot to choose from. We will stay here again when we are passing through the area,
Have stayed at this Best Western often; this last time was disappointed in housekeeping services and availability to non-smoking rooms (1st room could not even walk into and 2nd room was tolerable but smoke smell). Overall happy with this Best Western but they need to step it up since other new hotels in area being built
This is one of our favorite hotels when we travel between Texas and New Mexico. Always friendly staff, clean room, comfortable bed and convenient to gas station and Interstate 10, The Best Western Rewards Program is a good one also.
We've stayed here before on our cross-Texas trips, so we had an idea what to expect. This is a very well maintained and exceptionally clean property for what was at one time a basic motel. It is freshly painted outside and the cement is also very white and clean. Rooms are newly painted as well. Breakfast was very good, staff is great. My only complaint is that the bathroom fan is extremely noisy. If that's all I could complain about then you know this is a fine place to stay while driving across Texas when there aren't any Hiltons, Hyatts or Marriotts.
First stay for us. Decent hotel with good amenities like pool/gym. Friendly staff. Clean room but airco a bit noisy. Parking in front of room which is great. Good wifi coverage. Breakfast included, covering basic needs as no fruit available. But it is the best in town and great value for the price. Clean lobby.
Goodness I need to go see a chiropractor now ya'll the bed had a deep indentation in the middle where all the heavy weary travelers seemed to have settled! Probably should have stayed someplace else... wasn't worth the high price!
When on our travels, my wife and I look for a number of things in the places we stay. Clean accommodations close to our route, helpful staff, and reasonable rates. A plus is eating establishments close by. This Inn met and exceeded our desires. We will be back.
Good room, quality for the price. No cell reception! Glad we had access to work-fi! Bed was not the most comfortable. Pool was clean and warm and open until 11. Breakfast was hot and there were multiple options.
Very nice people, EXTREMELY comfortable beds! Rooms and appearance of facility are dated and could use a serious upgrade. However was clean and functional. Breakfast was pretty decent, would like to see more fresh fruits.
I've been staying here for 9 years and now the don't allow paying truckers to park bobtail trucks in there parking lot and the front desk staff is very rude about it and insulted my intelligence. There pissed because the will have competition with a brand new motel going in
Anniversary weekend get away and visit family. Hotel very nice rooms clean and friendly service. We did not use the pool but looked nice. Easy to find liked it being off the highway help to cut down on noise.
The staff was very friendly and helptul. Hotel was clean, the room was clean. The breakfast was good and hotel was convenient. The price was increased due to it going into July 4th weekend, but we expected that we stayed there.
Staff is exceptionally nice and very helpful with your every need. Breakfast was wonderful and everything was very fresh. We had a great stay and would recommend this hotel to all of my family and friends.
Needs better communication with staff over check-in and check-out services. It was not done very well at all. Was told one thing and then another happened. We were not happy about the end result and how they managed everything.
Our stay here was very nice. There are always many choices offered but I tend to want to stick with BEST western due to all the wonderful perks they offer. My favorite is breakfast already made in the morning. Lol.
Pleasant stay. The trip was business as well as pleasure. I had a meeting with the alumni director at Angelo State University. I serve on the Angelo State Alumni board. We also visited my brother in West Texas and stopped in Junction to visit relatives before returning home.
Very nice and pleasant stay. The pool was refreshing and the fitness center had everything we needed. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were very helpful. The bed was like sleeping on cloud nine. We will definitely stay at this Best Western if we pass through Junction, TX again.
Driving across the west, got in late and was greeted and taken care of quickly. Couldn't ask for anything more! Room was clean quite and cool. Breakfast the was great in the morning before getting back on the road.
After a long day of travel I went in and was greeted by the most pleasant woman named Carly, and I am sorry she introduced to me her co-worker and I can't remember her name but they were both such a breath of fresh air they treated us so pleasantly and helpful. The room was spotless and with nice furnishings. I would stay here again.
I stayed here for a business meeting in the area. This seemed like the best option for hotels and I was proved right. Their rooms were very clean and the staff was very friendly. I will definitely be staying here again when I travel to this area.
We stopped here on the way to the Big Bend area. The front desk clerk was exceptionally friendly and polite. The room was very clean, nicely decorated, had a good size mini-fridge, tiny microwave and a single serve coffee machine. Extensive breakfast buffet including breakfast tacos, biscuits, waffles, cereal, and yogurt that all looked fresh and tasted great. There is a small rectangular pool with chaises for relaxing. The sheets were a bit scratchy but about what you would expect for a hotel at this price point. The room was a little musty. The desk chair had peeled off pleather, but still fine for sitting. Hotel was full but there was minimal noise from neighboring or upstairs rooms. All in all, a nice hotel.
Perfect hotel to stop & stay the night when traveling through Texas. Beds leave a little to be desired, but good enough for the night. Great hot breakfast, great staff, and a bonus (a pet peeve of mine) there were enough towels & washcloths in the bathroom for all FOUR of us!! Not to mention the price was great for a family of 4 to stay the night!
Nice place, nice rooms, friendly staff, only problem is the A/C units leave something to be desired. I have stayed in two separate rooms when the outside temperature was in the 80s and the room did not get completely comfortable until the next morning.
After a full day of driving, we decided to stop for the night(around 9:00 pm). We saw the Best Western location and decided to give it a try. The front desk attendant was very pleasant and extremely professional. The room was very clean and comfortable. The next morning offered the next great plus! The morning breakfast was hot, offered many options, and well staffed. There was no facet of this operation that was not top shelf. Give it a try, we will definitely stay there again on our return trip.
excellent conditions at the motel and the staff is exceptional for going what ever is necessary to make your stay comfortable. nice swimming pool, deer always close by to view and enjoy a lot of food choices close to the motel
Stayed here because they offer a full hot breakfast. Arrived and was treated by two wonderful ladies. They were very cordial and helpful. The checkin was fast and efficient. We received a bottom floor room, a plus. Also close to lobby. The lobby is well appointed and very inviting. The rooms are nice and the beds are great. Very restful nights. The hot breakfast was worth the stay. Fresh scrambled eggs and sausage patties. Fruit, yogurt, waffles, juice and coffee. Overall a nice Best Western.
I read the reviews and thought that it would be a worthwhile stop on the way home even though it was a bit pricey at $129. I cannot believe that they have the nerve to charge what they charge and that people are willing to pay it! Extremely old best western that has been "updated". It is a classic old style hotel that needs to be torn down. The TV reception was horrible. None of the channels came in clearly and HBO was totally unwatchable! Breakfast was mediocre with lousy coffee and no cream or half and half, just fake products to lighten the coffee. A definite waste of money!
Most of the TV channels had poor pictures. The unit smelled like dog and was very dark. The staff was very nice until we asked to watch ABC at breakfast. Fox news was on. We were told we could watch the weather channel, but then she turned off the TV. Perhaps the slogan for the eating area should read, Republicans Only!
Spent 3 nights while visiting South Plano River Park. Staff was very friendly and helpful with food recommendations. Be sure to ask for birders discount. We were told about it when checking out. Rooms were clean. Breakfast included but gravy was lumpy nice variety of food. Ample parking conveniently located. WiFi but no Verizon in this area.
Have stayed here annually for probably 7 years. They have always had the most courteous and friendly group of people working there. The facilities are much nicer than one would expect in such a small town. As a result of my experience in at the BW Junction Texas my family will be staying at a Best Western Plus in California this summer.
Any minor inconveniences were more than offset by the helpfulness of the staff. Very friendly and professional. Bed comfortable, A/C efficient and quiet. Rooms clean. Criticisms: light bulbs too dim to read paper. Our refrigerator light is brighter. No in-room usb charger, which is not understandable. The three competitors I used on this trip did. Manager went out of her way to find one I could use.
Just like the name, Best Western. The registration was speedy and the personnel was very courteous and professional. The arrival was nice with a welcome from the clerk who signed us in welcoming to Junction and Best Western. Breakfast was good, hot stuff hot and coffee was good, The staff over the breakfast area was very nice and kept it very clean.
After twelve hours of driving, finding a good place to stay with my puppy is always a challenge. But we lucked into this one. Not sure if it is new or newly renovated, but was great. The lobby is beautiful as well as the room. I would recommend this to anyone!
Always pleasant staff, clean, everything works, healthy breakfast choices, reasonable prices, close to gas station, right off highway. Trip for medical reasons. Quiet. Easy to check in and out. Have stayed at this hotel many times.
I travel through this area a few times a year and stay here any time I am in the area. It has a very nice lobby with a great full breakfast. The rooms are always clean and comfortable with a nice staff. the only draw back is at certain times of the year the parking lot gets infested with black beetles which are totally harmless. Also it has the best BBQ joint in Texas right up the road which is a major bonus. Lum's BBQ
Helpful, friendly staff. King room was clean and spacious with comfortable bed. Complimentary breakfast was good and offered variety of choices. Nice, average accommodation. Offers pretty pool area. Would stay here again if in area.
Was very surprised by this hotel. The hotel area was very clean. The room was extremely clean and well taken care of. The staff that evening was very friendly, the person at the desk call shortly after getting in the room to see if all was ok. The morning staff as well were friendly and cared about your well being. Would recommend to all.
We stopped in Junction on the way to Big Bend National Park. This BW, just off I 10, is clean, quiet, with a typical breakfast (with a nice attendant). Front desk was friendly and professional. Rooms have an outside door (fyi). Drive around town, check out the park area, now designated an International Dark Sky Park. We ate at Lum's BBQ joint. Be forewarned your clothes and hair will be "smoked" by the time you leave!
We stay at Best Western Dos Rios when we come to visit my MIL that is in the nursing home there.. We have always been happy with our stay and and friendly people. Their breakfast is good and always attended in case you need more coffee etc.
This was a simple stop-over on a business trip. I enjoyed it very much. Staff was excellent, breakfast was outstanding. I will stay there again, business or pleasure. My recommendation would be to check out the local eateries especially the recommended barbeque.
Great staff, however the room had a large wet spot on the carpet and smelled funny. The breakfast however was excellent. Large selection of food, that was fresh and well maintained. The smelly rooms is what got us however.
Stopped here for one night after a long road trip to Big Bend. Our room was large, clean and quiet. Bed was comfortable and ensured a good night's sleep. It was the perfect "rest stop." Breakfast was plentiful and appreciated.
We were traveling down to San Antonio and were hesitant to stay in this town until we saw a best western. We decided to give it a shot and I'm glad we did! Service was great, everyone was always in a good mood. Hot breakfast was good & the area was maintained clean. The beds were comfortable, clean & quiet room. Would definitely recommend this place!
Room was clean and the staff was efficient and courteous. Good rates and a free breakfast. This is a two-story motel with doors of the rooms on the first floor, facing the parking lot. Very easy access on and off of Interstate 10.
This stay was one of the best I have ever had. The staff went out of their way to make sure every thing was as it should be. From L.A. to Houston this hotel is one of the best vaules on Interstate ten.
Coffee thermos in the lobby was empty and breakfast wasn't anywhere close to on time. Rooms smelled like stale cigarette smoke, but it may have been the cleaning products because the second room smelled almost the same.
After 8 stays in 6yrs throughout the year, Dos Rios never disappoints. Perfect combination of facility: Friendliness & Helpfulness of staff; Comfortable, Quiet rooms; & pretty darn good selection of breakfast items - something for everyone from traditional to healthy. Perfect starting point for trips to West Texas for us.
Great location, staff was more than friendly, rooms were clean as usual. pool was clean. would highly recommend this property when visiting the hill country, we were on motorcycles and was greeted with clean towels to clean our bikes upon arrival by the staff
After a lengthy drive,we arrived around 8 pm.Check in was smooth and the place was certainly quiet.Cost per night is in the $100 range,The breakfast room and lobby are beautiful. The breakfast was way above average and had a big selection of foods. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet.Recommended!
Hotel was immaculate. Best hotel experience I have had in years. Staff were marvelous. Outside and inside superbly maintained. Breakfast was provide and excellent. Location is convenient. Highly recommend the Dos Rios in Junction, Texas
Truly enjoyed my stay at the best western. The HUGE TEXAS shaped waffles were a hit with the entire family. The pool light was not operating which made our 10pm swim pretty dark, however they did turn on some interior lights to help with situation.
Clean - but room smelled like smoking had been done in room that was non-smoking and a/c had not been cleaned, stopper in tub did not work, towels smelled like Clorex - just a total disaster - however I will say the manager did reduce my bill and I appreciate that - however will think twice about staying at another Best Western
Staff was great, hotel room, at least #116 was dated but clean. Surprisingly beds were very comfy. **Warning** the second we walked into hotel room ZERO cell phone service. Found out this is a major problem in the city of Junction but it made communication extremely difficult. Texts just bounce back, my cell phone never rang even if someone local tried to call, voicemails & Texts were received only after we left hotel & stumbled on a pocket of connectivity...be warned lol Sometimes by the pool or in the lobby I could send a text...
This is the nicest and newest hotel in or around Junction. Great staff, great hot breakfast with to go bags from the buffet if you are in a hurry. Great location just off IH 10 and close to the small town of Junction with a few local restaurants. I'd recommend Coopers barbeque just off IH-10. We would never stay anywhere else. We have always thought this is the nicest and newest place in Junction to stay. The staff are there 24 hours and very friendly to take care of any needs. The hot breakfast is better than usual with on the go bags to pick from the buffet if you need to eat on the road. The pricing is very reasonable and close to IH 10 and the small downtown Junction which has a few restaurants. We won't stay anywhere else in or near Junction. weW
We stayed one night on our way to El Paso to break the the long drive and booked a king suite and we just loved the comfort. The room, breakfast and friendly service are impossible to fault. We drove to the river park in the evening and enjoyed the quiet ambience of the area. The drive through Texas is very scenic and should be on your to do list.
The BW Dos Rios offers comfortable beds in clean, updated rooms with friendly service, includes free breakfast and internet -both of which were good quality, as well as the rooms had quality air conditioning, showers, and pillows. it makes a perfect stop on a road trip, one for a good value.
For a small BW in the small town of Junction, we were very pleasantly surprised at the courtesy, the cleanliness and size of the room for the price. Hot Breakfast was just right, and we were off n ready in no time. Highly recommend!
We have stayed at a lot of hotels and this one is one of our top hotels. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I found what looked like dirt in my bed, but it wasn't very much. As close as the bed was to the wall it was virtually impossible to keep the sheets off of the floor when they changed them and I'm afraid it was something off of the floor. The bad thing about what I found was up at the pillows. Other than that, everything else was great, I will just check the sheets when I first get there to bring it to their attention.
You get what you pay for in a Hotel Room, therefore I expected this place to be a little bit more expensive than other local hotels. But I must say, having a child with me, the extra money was well worth the extra quality. Breakfast was amazing with plenty to choose from and fresh hot food. The pool area was well kept, clean water and fresh towels available. The room was clean and orderly, comfortable beds, and ICE cold AC unit that is quiet while running.
We enjoyed our stay here. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean. There aren't many hotel choices in this area but this is the best option by far. We recommend this place to everyone.
Looking for a place to stop overnight on Interstate 10 after Fort Stockton but before Austin, we researched Ozona, Sonora and Junction for a suitable hotel/locale. Ozona was a bit too small and had limited hotel choices with the Holiday Inn Express probably being the best option in that town. However, we did note a brand new build going up on the slip road very near the HI -- no where near ready but possibly a Hampton Inn coming on line soon. Very few restaurants and a very West Texas town. Sonora was essentially just an exit off the highway. None of the available hotels looked very interesting based on location and exterior observation. Moving on to Junction, we were greeted with a very large BW sign at Exit 456 clearly visible from the road. Exit and turn right, look for the Dairy Queen on the Main Street and turn right. Maybe 1/4 mile down a dirt road sits the Best Western Plus Dos Rios, just past the Rodeway Inn. Parked under the portico and went into the registration area which was nicely decorated. A large friendly room with a large stone fireplace, computer station and registration desk. Immediately off the main room were the Fitness Center, Breakfast room, access to the pool and laundry room. Carly checked us in efficiently and with terrific charm. Great representative for BW. The hotel itself is a two story, motel style hotel with exterior access only. Normally I avoid these types of properties as I have a strong preference for interior corridors as I feel they are safer. However, after we passed Fort Stockton on Interstate 10 (where there are multiple new hotels with interior corridors just off the highway including a Best Western), we did not see one interior corridor hotel. We were given a room on the ground floor on the West side of the building which was spotless. However, the room was very dark both from the paint colors selected, the fact that there was only one window under the second floor walkway and the horrible new light bulbs forced on the US public by the government. The room was literally too dark to read a book. Certainly adequate for a one night stay. But most importantly, the air conditioner worked perfectly and it was very much needed in the very hot Texas sun. The rooms on the East side of the building face the Roadway Inn. There is a lovely grassy knoll separating the two properties which is very nice. The area has picnic tables, barbecue facilities and an area for kids to play. A very nice touch after a long day's drive. The pool is on the West side of the building closest to check in. Breakfast the next morning offerred a nice selection of products and was attentively attended to by the breakfast hostess. Note that there is a fabulous PIlot Gas station just off the highway very close by. The store looks new and had lots of great food options. And great prices on gas, as usual.
This Best Western appears to be quite new with spacious rooms and off the highway so it avoided the noise. The dining area was sizable with nice selection for breakfast. The staff were very friendly and assigned us exactly the room we wanted for our stay. We will definitely be back.
This hotel is a very clean, professional, and friendly place to visit. My family stays here for our reunion every two years and it just get's better every year. Very clean hotel rooms. The staff could not have been more helpful. And the price of the rooms are very reasonable.
The staff at this location are always friendly and welcoming. They are quick to assist and make fresh coffee! The rooms, and common areas are clean and neat. Internet service is fast and easy to access. The pool is always so clean and supplied with clean towels. This is our number one choice when we stay in Junction, Texas!
We moved part of our vacation from San Antonio over to Junction and booked this hotel last minute. We stayed 2 nights at BWP Dos Rios. The front desk staff was very pleasant. Carly was great to deal with and answered our questions about Junction enthusiastically. The room was clean when we arrived and the cleaning service the next day did a great job. The pool was cleaned and taken care of each morning as well. Junction may be a stop over for your road trip, or a destination if you are looking for a good park to play in, South LLano River State Park, but this hotel was pretty nice regardless!
This place was ok, not great, not bad. Definitely more of a motel feel - exterior doors, two floors, etc. Room was a little strong on whatever freshener/scent they use. Not a bad spot, but of the hotels we stayed at on this trip, one of the more average places. Staff was nice and breakfast was just fine. All of that said, there aren't many other choices in this town, so this might still be the top option.
This was at the top of quality of Best Westerns. the facility and the room were very clean. The staff was very nice and helpful. The pool was clean. The ac in the rooms was very good. the breakfast was typical but good. I have no negative comments.
We took two rooms here and found both to be clean, very modern, and well equipped in all respects, including fridge, microwave, coffee maker and hair dryer. There is a very nice pool area. The breakfast was extensive - sausage, eggs, biscuits & gravy, bagels, waffles, etc. The staff was friendly and helpful. On the way out, I noticed a housekeeper even cleaning the windows and window screen of a room. The only advice I can think of is in the summer, request a room on the east side as the afternoon sun is hotter than blazes on the west side. A great stay!
The front desk staff and the General Manager were helpful and friendly. The housekeeping staff were also friendly. They also do a great job of cleaning. The staff in the breakfast area was wonderful. She kept the food hot and available. She was also very friendly and full of information about the area. The rooms were clean and quiet. The property and the grounds are well maintained. The pool was beautiful and clean. The area around the pool was relaxing. This was a great place to stay!
We use this hotel as a base while hunting at our lease in the Hill Country. We hunt year round for both white-tail and exotic game species. Staff remember us and provide excellent service since we always check-in terribly late and we leave every morning of our visit way before breakfast even begins. The night before they make us a bag with a "to-go" breakfast so we can hit the road and make the tree stands before the sun comes up. And no need to worry about check-up because it will be taken care of with the Express Check-Out. Short of staying in camp or a family members house, we couldn't ask for more.
I ended up making a same-day reservation at this Best Western and was very happy I did. The staff at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful. I even received a call from the desk after checking in to make sure everything was okay. The room was clean, Wi-Fi worked great, and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was one of the most original I have had in awhile. In addition to the typical cereal, bagels/toast, and homemade waffles, they had 4 different toppings for the waffles plus whip cream. They had about 4 different toppings for the yogurt that was available. They had eggs and bacon to make breakfast burritos and the fixings for biscuits and gravy. It's located right off the interstate so it's convenient. If I travel that way again, I'll be sure to stay there.
This was a great room for the price. The air conditioner worked well (Texas necessity) and room was very clean. Location is convenient to freeway, but quiet. Staff was very friendly and helpful. A good experience at this chain.
We stayed here twice while traveling around the Texas hill-country and were very pleased with the service, friendly staff, and clean facilities. Just off the Interstate, but very quiet. Rooms are nice and efficient, pool was good, and breakfast was a good start before departure. We liked it so much the first time, we stopped again a few days later and the front desk clerk even remembered us.
Stopped here on trip through West Texas. BW Del Rios is a design with doors to the outside, which can sometimes be an unpleasant situation. We were on lower level which made our vehicle easily accessible. Room was immaculately clean, bed comfortable, and even good pillows. Plenty of hot water and thick towels. Breakfast was typical 2.5 star hotel breakfast. Only downside is that the hot food was cool and no syrup for the pancakes. All in all though-- good, clean place to stay. Would stay again. Priceline including all taxes $91.00.
Very clean, friendly and well run motel. My first trip to Junction but was very pleased with the accommodations. Much better than I suspected. The complimentary breakfast was the usual fare but fresh and the Texas-shaped waffle iron was a treat.
Very clean rooms, everything fresh, in-room fridge and microwave, plenty of space. Great breakfast, including DIY breakfast tacos. Everyone I encountered was smiling and gracious. Pool, workout room, little business center. Only hiccup was the clock in my room was ten minutes behind, the one in my son's room 20 minutes fast! Other than that, it works for me, for a great price. Will definitely stay here again next time out this way.
Easy check in and check out process. Kind and friendly service. Nice and clean rooms. Quick to respond to requests. Nice pool but not heated. Free wifi. Nice tv with many popular channels to choose from. Great air conditioning. Complementary breakfast was yummy. Texas shaped waffles always make a trip better. In my opinion, one of the best places to stay in the town of junction!
I stayed at the Best Western in Junction as part of a birding group. The birding in Junction and nearby Llano St Park was great in April and May. The desk staff was helpful with maps and suggestions. Spotted an Eastern Kingbird in the parking lot. Very good early breakfast. We were able to get an early start.
We arrived shortly before 9 pm after long day on the road. I was glad I had read other reviews about the location being a tad difficult to find in the dark - forewarned is forearmed - so we knew to look a bit further down the road for the motel. The front desk person was really pleasant and helpful. She was particularly concerned about making sure we found some dinner before the local dining spots closed. As she said, Junction is a very small town. We had stopped earlier so did not experience any dining in Junction except breakfast the next day which was fine. It had the usual cold options plus 3 hot items and waffles.
This was the cleanest and most welcoming hotel, we have ever stayed in. It was spotless, and one could tell that effort had been put into cleaning not only the room, but also the porch and stair areas. The breakfast was very good and had a large selection of food choices. The breakfast hostess was very attentive to the needs of the guest. We normally do not stay in establishments with outside doors but we felt very safe here. Pleasant stay.
Nice property and rooms. Front desk was very friendly and helpful. Room was nicely furnished and clean. Thought it was a little pricey, but overall very happy with the stay. Will stay there again. Plenty of parking if you are pulling a trailer.
We were very pleased with the hotel. Like new decor, clean, neat and great service. Junction is a small town built around freeway truck stops and the wonderful South Llano River State Park...and the area is beautiful Texas Hill Country. We'll stay here again.
I have stayed at this Best western many time while traveling cross contryy because it is the best hotel in the area, clean rooms and the staff are always friendly and do what they can to accommodate your request. The breakfast is good it has all the hot items you would hope for. Internet is a little slow but then again you are in the middle of no where. Not to mention there is a bbq joint called Lum's that is the best in the country just up the road. The only other negative thing about this location are all the black beetles outside, they are harmless and the birds do a great job of eating them all up in the morning but it could be discouraging if you show up at night.
This is an older property and has exterior corridors, which we usually avoid; however, the town of Junction doesn't have too many options and this was just a one night stopover. The room was clean, and the staff was friendly. Breakfast was ample with a nice variety. The one thing that sticks with me is noise. Noise from the freeway, noise from the refrigerator in the room, noise from the bathroom fan, noise from the plumbing...you get the idea. The hotel also seemed to cater to work crews from the surrounding area, who were awake and starting up vehicles early. Nothing horrible, just small things that added up. Overall, a serviceable place for the night.
Been staying here about 4 times a year since they opened (I think about 10 years) znd everything is still in great shape. Rooms are clean, staff is very friendly and helpful.. Bathrooms are super clean as well as fluffy towels and god amenities. Great place to stay. Rates are fairly good too. Breakfast is very good.
We found this location to be clean, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and all employees were friendly and helpful. Our stay was nice enough that we stayed again on our way back home, otherwise I would have looked for some place else.
This is one of my favorite hotels in Texas, the staff is friendly, helpful, rooms clean and comfortable, breakfast is top notch , good laundry facilities if you need that. Can't imagine what one could complain about here...
Even though this hotel had outdoor rooms which we usually don't like, I was very impressed with the overall appearance of this hotel. It looked like it had been remodeled recently. Only problem would have been if I could not have carried my bags upstairs. I didn't see an elevator or any kind. If you can't carry your luggage upstairs, request a downstairs location. It was convenient to Hwy 10 and fast food restaurants and gas stations.
Nice convenient place to stay if passing through. Things seemed clean and an adequate breakfast was available. I've stayed here a couple of times, but this time seemed more expensive than it should have been. If the rate was this high next time I might shop around if I were going to stay in the area again.
Great place to stay. Clean, comfortable and very friendly, helpful staff. Just what we wanted. Great hot breakfast before we left in the morning. And it all came with a smile. We can recommend this Best Western Plus very highly.
Stayed here for 3 nights. Service and breakfast was great. The beds were literally 8'' thick and the pillows were the size of throw pillows inside a queen pillow case. Worst 3 nights sleep of my life. All other hotels in the area were in the $60 range and this one was $110. I don't feel like breakfast was worth $50 a night.
I find the location to be very good. The staff was well prepaired in making my stay a good one. Junction is a very quaint town and i enjoyed everything the hotel had to offer. I find Best Western to the best value for for the price.
Great hotel. Not new but very well kept. Very Clean. Multiple linens. White stain free towels wash clothes etc. Refrigerator, microwave n coffee maker very clean. Clean new carpeting and upholstered chair. No mold anywhere in the bathroom. Very good value for sure. Lobby was very inviting I would definitely stay here again.
Friendly and caring staff. Would stay here any time. Great hotel at a great price and there when you need them. I will definitely recommend this destination to friends and family. The service here was impeccable.
Junction is a small town in the Hill Country, but this hotel is a first class option for a good night's rest. Hotel is lovely, outdoor pool (no hot tub), but a nice rest after a long drive. Local restaurants close early (8:00 PM), but there are several franchise fast food options open later in the evening if you arrive late. We liked it so well we stopped again on our return trip.
After a long day of driving it was nice to be greeted as I walk in the door. I didn't have reservation and the desk was happy to find a room for us. The bed was very comfortable. Even though it is close to the highway there was very little road noise.
First time at this BW property. Very clean and quiet and easy off and on from I-10 east/west. Front desk could not be any nicer. I had no reservations and just drove in for the night. Breakfast was very good and continental items with plenty of choices. This is a great place if traveling in deep south Texas and I will be back.
Situated just off of I-10. Staff is friendly and very helpful. The whole property is kept very clean, beautiful outdoor pool. Room was very clean with comfortable beds and pillows. Delicious breakfast and coffee. Very nice place to stay.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and bed was comfortable. Breakfast selections were vast and tasty. Check-in was fast and express check-out was efficient. The property was kid friendly and easy to access.
Overall, this is a good and clean play to stay. It is very consistent and I have always been pleased with the service. The breakfast isn't awesome but it gets the job done with hot/cold choices. Spend the extra money and stay here vs the other choices in town.
My daughter and I were traveling across Texas and I asked my wife to find us a hotel on I-10 just west of San Antonio. She found this one! And it was a Great One! The staff was very friendly, the room was very clean and comfortable and the price was reasonable. We have stayed at BW Pluses before and this one lived up to those standards. In the morning there was the hot breakfast. Lots of delicious selections. I highly recommend the sausage patties and biscuits and gravy. Of course my favorite the Waffle and it was in the shape of Texas with your choice of a few toppings. Easy to find right off the Interstate.
This place is Fantastic if you want to get out of the city. nice and quiet , and lots of fresh air. This is our second stay here and the staff goes out of there way to make you fell right at home.
Nice hotel to stay at for a cross country experience. Staff was polite and the rooms were fairly clean. Some dust piles behind headboard. Sheets were clean and the hotel had a good vibe. Great shower head.
I really enjoyed my stay at the Best Western (Junction, Tx). The staff was great and I had a really good breakfast during my one day stay. I would highly recommend this location! It was Top level service that I received from the person checking me in when I arrived to the person cleaning my room asking "How is your stay?" This showed me that they really do care about my stay at this Hotel. I will plan to stay at this hotel next time I am in Junction!
The stay at the Best Western PLUS Dos Rios in Junction, Texas was excellent from the minute we registered until we left. The lobby area was beautiful, the staff members were gracious, and the room and food were excellent. I will definitely stay there again when I am in that beautiful area. Highest priced hotel in Junction. We have stayed in Junction many nights on hunting trips and are familiar with several of the hotels in town. Decided to give Best Western a 2nd try. After requesting early check-in the day prior to checking in we found that they could not get us a room prior to 3:00 on the day we arrived, despite an empty parking lot. This ruined our trip to Fredericksburg because we had no where to store our hunting gear for the day and could not leave it in the truck while touring. There is no reason to pay $30 -$40 more than the other hotels in town, for basically the same quality and breakfast as the competitors.
It is at a good location and is very popular with travelers with kids. The pool is small and was bustling with children. Rooms were adequate, not fancy. It is an outside access hotel so if you require a ground floor room, ask for one in advance.
The hotel was extremely adequate for my purposes. I had no issues with the facilities at all. The breakfast buffet was really good each morning! I just wish the internet access had been a little better.
We were traveling to see my daughter in Midland TX. We don't drive this trip often because it's a nine/ten hour drive from where we live. So we decided to stop in Junction for the evening. The Best Western Staff we kind and very helpful. The room was clean and quite. Even though it's right by the highway. We will definitely stay there again.
This was a great experience, especially with the other choices in the Junction. I would not stay any other place! I would just be cautious not to leave any valuables, to include coolers, tools ect in the back of your truck. We had several items stolen.
Enjoyed our stay at Best Western Plus Dos Rios, Junction Tx. Everyone was so curtious and nice. The room was Great. Bed was comfortable. Room nice and clean. The towels were so soft. I can't express how much I loved the soft towels. The food was delicious. Food area was clean and fresh.
Stayed here for 3 days on a motorcycle trip with several other people. The staff could not have been more friendly and outgoing for us. Everyone employee we met went out of their way to make sure we had a good stay at this hotel. We were given towels to clean our bikes after riding in the rain, let us use the dining room to visit in the evening when it was too cold to sit outside and made sure out check in and out was great even though we presented them with a few flaws from 3rd party reservations.
This is a very nice and clean motel to stay. Better than most that we have been dealing with. Will be planning to stay at this motel each year when passing through Junction, TX. The breakfast was very good and satisfying. The employees were also very helpful. Am looking forward to returning.
I enjoyed the way that staff listened, understood my needs as a handicapped person, and then responded with a great room and a desire to make us comfortable as possible. I even wished that my trip back timing would have permitted another visit
I was attempting to cook my waffle and burned myself. Not one person was close by to help me. There is no protection on the machines you use to cook your waffle. Very dangerous. My husband did try his and he was sick for the entire ride home.
I thought it was priced high for a week night. It was not our destination, just a stop over spot. I did not like the small pillows. They were uncomfortable and hurt our night of much needed rest. There was not internet in the room.
Stopped in late for a quick night stay- Lobby/rooms were clean, bed comfortable and a quiet room. Front desk staff were very nice and helpful! Breakfast was included and was great. Right off the interstate so easy access. We were pulling a trailer and had plenty of room to park
Decided to push on one more town. So glad I did. Top notch facility, staff, value...the whole experience. Clean, neat, friendly and convenient. Nice when expectations are unexpectedly exceeded. Good job! Also stumbled into excellent BBQ joint just across the interstate. I will plan future trips to include both of these businesses.
I found the hotel to be extremely clean on the outside and the in side. However, the beds were very uncomfortable I would have been more comfortable sleeping on the floor. The beds were just that hard.
The front desk clerk was extremely pleasant. Room was clean. Went hiking at South Llano State Park and this motel was in the perfect spot. 10 minutes from park. Room has fridge and microwave which was handy.
On the Road from Houston to New Mexico . Was very glad to find this hotel as very satisfied with everything. As a single female on the road I am always a bit apprehensive when I get a hotel when on a road trip.
Very helpful night manager but to odor from the new carpet, one week old per manager after check-in, was very strong. So strong I would have stayed elsewhere and not booked this hotel had I known. Otherwise the room was clean and comfortable. A good choice of cable channels for TV.
The hotel is being remodeled. We were in a new room and it was lovely. But the entire staff was so kind and helpful. We had a flat tire overnight and they were right there offering to air it up to get us to the tire repair around the corner.
The hotel was very new and had some construction trailers obvious. Our room was very neat and clean. It smelled of new carpet but we got used to that. The staff was very friendly and helped us find a restaurant that was our kind of food. Gave us directions on how to get there and showed us their menu too. The room was spacious and the beds were nice.
