« Rooms smell and Roaches in the bathroom »

We stayed at the hotel for a graduation weekend , the room we stayed in had a rancid smell so I had to go out and buy a air freshener spray myself in order to tolerate the room (they were fully booked and had no other availability. Also found a roach in the bathroom.

The staff was extremely helpful and the atmosphere was also very tranquil.I would recommend this hotel for anyone that's looking for an inexpensive stay.I would definetely stay there again if i have to find lodging in the area.

    « Not bad »

Pleasant hotel with excellent location. Breakfast very good. Rooms are ok. Clean bathrooms. Friendly staff and a friendlies next door. Dunkin' Donuts very close also. Mall right across the street. Ground round close too.

« Good location, friendly staff. »

My grandson had BMX racing competition on the weekend. We stay at the Best Western plus. The room were clean. The staff was very friendly and courteous. The continental breakfast was excellent and lot choices. I did not know that the ?? can stay in the hotel. There was a nice icecream place very close by. It is a nice place to stay in general

« Friendly Staff, good location, needs cleaning... »

The hotel is 15 minutes away from Greater Binghamton Airport and there is a free shuttle. The shuttle itself is clean, the drivers are prompt, professional and courteous. The front desk are personnel and knowledgeable about the area. There's a mega 3 story gym across the parking lot that has yoga classes and several other activities to offer. The down side is that all 3 times I've been here, my room had cobwebs in the corners of the ceiling.

« Never knew the pup could stay with me here! »

called last minute to get a room, very accommodating. Never knew i could bring the dog with me, that they were pet friendly! asked for a room on the first floor for the ease of taking the dog in and out and got a really good location on the 1st floor. The rooms were clean, spacious and bed(s) were of good size. They have a continental breakfast and you can walk to the ground round restaurant or friendlies, dunking doughnuts, all in the same plaza. Easy off and on the highway. would recommend it.

« Nice rooms and courteous staff »

We stayed one night . Got a good rate thru trip advisor . The attached court jester athletic centre has an amazing swimming pool and a gym which can be used by the house guests . Near other eating places so you can walk across . At Breakfast they even offer gluten free cereal :)

« Bed comfort was the saving grace »

this place needs help. It's located in a plaza with a number of other businesses, such as restaurants, commercial businesses, other hotels, fitness place, etc. They all share a parking lot and entrance off the highway. Lighting is poor, asphalt is in bad condition, painted striping of travel lanes and parking is nearly none existent. People don't watch where they are driving as I was nearly hit more than once. Security is a little shaky too as I was hit up by some guy two nights in a row looking for a handout. The front entrance is on a slope making it difficult to get a luggage cart from the parking into the hotel. There are other areas within the hotel that are difficult to get over with a luggage cart, can't imagine if I was in wheelchair or using a walker. Room was OK, relatively quiet. The real thing that saved this from being a 2 was that I slept very well 3 out of the 4 nights I was there. Other issues: staff is not very outgoing/personable with the exception of the gentleman tending the breakfast area Wednesday - Friday. Speaking of breakfast, Tuesday morning I went down at 645 (breakfast starts at 6). The meat tray was completely empty and it was necessary to scrape the sides and bottom of the egg tray to get any. The person tending that day got there about 7. That appears to be the time she starts. Breakfast at 6, attendant at 7...doesn't make much sense. Would stay here again only if no other place available.

    « Just passin' through... »

We were on our way to a fall vacation in New England and this was a good half-way stopover. The word I'd use to describe this hotel is "adequate". There was nothing at all wrong with anything - the room was clean, the breakfast area also clean, but not jaw-dropping in either the quality or selection, and the staff at the desk was helpful and knowledgeable. When we checked in, one gentleman did try to sell me on the benefits of becoming a special member or something, and I politely but firmly told him that I'd just spent 8 hours on the road and wasn't really in the mood for a sales pitch. He handed me the literature and finished up what he was doing. He was a big help when we asked about a place to eat. Overall, for a one-night stopover, this would be fine, but there's nothing extra here.

    « Affordable »

For the price and the location you can't beat it the rooms are big and nice, not fancy but there is no old musty smells or itchy blankets/stained carpets. The bathroom in ours was kind of grimy especially the ceiling nothing horrible but it could be better

    « Clean, convenient »

We have stayed at this hotel several times. The rooms are clean and the location is convenient for us. Breakfast is better than most. Will stay again as it is 1/2 way to family and we enjoy the OTB next door.

    5
    « Dependably great stay »

We are always satisfied with the Best Western in Johnson City, NY and will stay there whenever we have a need. The rooms are clean and quiet and comfortable. We can't wait to see the remodeled lobby. Very dependable.

« Good location, good hotel »

Stayed at this hotel on the way down South, was a good location and overall hotel was good, beds were comfortable and bathroom was functionable. Breakfast was okay, had the basics which was nice. Room was clean, parking was convenient, had a couple restaurants in the area, and near a mall.

    « Gross »

Not impressed!! Entire floor smelled of cigarettes! Help! Other hotels in the area! Addressed this with front desk and got an I don't care attitude! Would never recommend this hotel. Stay here if u want to smoke!!!!!!!

« We didn't have to change our room!,Just what we needed. Cconvenent to SUNY Binghamton »

We arrived late at night and left after breakfast. We didn't have to change our room! When we stay at hotels we usually need to change rooms due to a smokey/moldy odor/difficulty breathing in our room(I have asthma and my son is very sensitive to odors) We did, however, need to hold our breaths as we passed by some smokey rooms.Family trip. Hotel was convenient to SUNY Binghamton. Beds and room were comfortable,. no smoke/mold odor/presence in our room. Spacious room with enough places to rest our bags and suitcases. Convenient, hot breakfast.,Very clean facility and room, w/ microwave and minifridge. Convenient, good, hot breakfast inside building, with eggs, susages and waffles.Friendly staff. I was disappointed that the health club across the street was closed when we arrived. After the long drive to get there from home,I would have appreciated and used a pool and health club on site, open 24 hours/day.

« Best Western at Johnson City »

This is a very well run hotel. No wait to check in. Rooms are clean and decorated nicely. The beds are very comfortable. The staff is pleasant and they go out of their way to be helpful. Breakfast is hot, delicious and plenty of it. Check out is a breeze.

    5
    « A nice surprise »

I stayed in that hotel last year and was very satisfied. The location is great. Hotel is very clean and the guest room is spacious. For a hotel in that category and compare to other hotels used by a lot of snowbirds, this one offers more than what you expected. Good management I guess. FINALLY, SOMEONE CARES ABOUT HIS CLIENTS. When I arrived, my reservation was ready. The person at the front desk, named Patrick, was very professional, efficient and answered all my questions.

    4
« Well located comfortable hotel »

This hotel was comfortable providing good service and a good location. The restaurants in the area were within walking distance. Ground Round was excellent. The bed was very comfortable but we had trouble with the computer chair not holding a position. The fan was also noisey.

    2
« Everything needs updating - Pool in separate building across parking lot »

Internet connection was also very poor. Rooms have a smell. Not terrible but it would help if AC was kept on and carpets were replaced. On the positive side staff was friendly and beds were comfortable. We had no issues. Rooms have microwave and fridge.

    « Motel/Hotel »

My stay at the Best Western Motel in Johnson City, NY, was a very comfortable and pleasant one...Highly recommend it to all passing through that area. Staff was exceptionally friendly and considerate. Price was competitive. Room was comfortable and clean...

    « Great »

Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great. Had anything and everything you could want. Hotel difficult to find however GSP not helpful, Need signs for hotel right off exit and then again at turning point.

    4
« Very comfortable and clean beds and room »

Location of Best Western couldn't be better. Everything is well kept even though the room shows a little wear except the beds. Bath was clean also showing some wear and tare. Staff very friendly and breakfast was very good, nice variety.

    5
    « Best Western Stay »

Always a good experience when renting rooms through Best Western. This particular one had so many options around it for food, shopping etc, I wouldn't have made a reservation elsewhere! Close to the Casino and close to the Owego Antique store which is defiantly a must visit on your travel venue!

    4
    « Great Stopover »

This is a very good stop over hotel. We were on route from New York to Ottawa and this proved to be a very welcome stop over. Beds are the best, rooms a good size and the breakfast was acceptable but not delightful. However the staff are welcoming and friendly. Good shower too and plenty of convenient parking. Highly recommended but the nearby BBQ restaurant was yuck!

    4
    « Overnight stay »

Everything was pleasant during our short stay. As usual at Best Western, the bed was very comfortable and with a bad back and knees this is very important! We both slept very well. Staff made you feel very welcome.

    4
    « Enjoyed our stay »

Went to Animal Adventure park and stayed here it is pretty close. The rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful this place is centrally located many stores and restaurants around the only problem in the gym and exercise equipment is in the gym across the parking lot it is not connected to the hotel

    4
    « Good Night's Stay »

My wife and I recently stayed at this hotel. The hotel seemed a little bit worn and maybe in need of some refurbishing, yet, it was clean and everything worked as expected. Actually the Internet access was quite good compared to some other hotels where we have stayed. The location is good with access to restaurants, grocery stores, gas, and interstate highways. The breakfast was free with typical Best Western fare (hot and cold items). There was also a small bar featuring an evening happy hour. Service was OK with no issues. If ever back in the Binghamton area would consider staying there again.

    4
« BW at Johnson City NY »

Nice stay. Excellent breakfast both in quality and cleanliness . We had an issue with toilet height but I guess that is not a problem for most. Easy access to and away for driving and parking was adjacent to the building.

    « Horrible! »

Where to even begin... The room was dirty upon arrival with small pieces of garbage on carpet. There were 4 of us in the room. At no point did we ever actually have 4 towels and washcloths put in our room. Every day we had to either call or find someone to give us enough. We stayed for 5 nights (Unfortunately!!). You'd think they'd figure it out. We spoke with the woman who seemed to be inspecting rooms and finally asked if we could please have our room vacuumed. The glass table in the hall near the elevator was so disgustingly dirty, someone wrote "Wash Me" on it with their finger in the thick layer of dirt and dust. Wish I'd had time to stop and take a pic of that when we noticed it. Wow! The free breakfast was honestly the grossest we've ever had at a hotel... tried to eat it 2 mornings then gave up and went out to breakfast the rest of the stay. The woman maintaining the items was as rude as could be, as was the person manning the front desk when we finally got upset and asked for a manager. He informed us the manager wasn't in and couldn't care less that we were having a horrible stay. We never got to speak with management. Now I will say my peace on here. If you have a chance to stay anywhere else in the Binghamton area, do so. It's worth a few extra dollars.

    « Relocation Trip »

Recently I planned a move from FL to NYS. I stayed in this Best Western for over three weeks until future housing could be arranged. The staff bent over backwards to accommodate myself and my pets. The breakfast was wonderfully convenient but the atmosphere and friendliness made the journey so much more pleasant sufficiently so that I chose to return.Amenities are great with grocery(Wegman's) Many restaurants and the best gym available all within walking distance.

    « AAP Visit »

Hotel was clean, beds comfortable and staff friendly and personable. Easy access from the major highways. Convenient to restaurants, gas and some shopping. 24 hour coffee, tea and juices. Family friendly and walking distance to several restaurants.

    « Weekend getaway »

The room was nice and spacious. Clean and comfortable with a sink also outside of the bathroom. . Delicious breakfast which was included. We loved the set up in our room. Staff were very friendly and answered our questions.

    1
    « Stay AWAY »

This hotel should be knocked down and start over. The rooms are dirty and I think the bed had bed bugs. I will never stay in this hotel or any best western again. Stay away. Not worth any money to stay there.

    3
« Just your average hotel »

Stayed for 1 night on the way to upstate New York. Staff was friendly and helpful. We have had better breakfasts and we have had worse breakfasts. Room was comfortable for the 1 night. there is a "lounge" that offers Happy hour drinks. The "lounge" is basically a room with a bar and alcohol right inside the back entrance. NO food offered or available.

    3
    « Good location. »

Good location, near resturaunts and nice staff. Rooms are clean but poorly maintained. Maintenance is poorly done and not kept up. Needs a good inspection and overhaul. Not worthy of the $120 price tag.

    4
    « September »

Although our welcome was less than stellar, a change of room was provided and the rest of the stay was excellent other than a squeaky bathroom door. Other than arrival, staff was excellent. Breakfast was not as good as in the past few years.

« Stay in Binghamton, NY »

This Best Western used to be a decent place to stay. It appears to have fallen on hard times as this venue is in need of an upgrade to meet Best Western standards. Room was clean, but was run down and outdated.

    5
    « Quick family trip »

Clean, comfortable room. Only here one night for a family wedding in the area. Good rate, good breakfast available. Pool was out of order during our visit, but we didn't have time for a pool this trip anyway. Had we been in area longer, during warmer weather, would have preferred to have a pool which isn't shared with another business.

    5
    « Amazing awesome hotel!!! »

This hotel was not expensive $150 Cdn/night. Huge clean room, big comfy bed, desk, chairs with side table, bar, fridge, microwave, pool access at fitness centre next door, super helpful and friendly staff. The wifi was horrible but that is the only bad thing I can say about this hotel, would definitely stay here again!!

    2
« Do they have vacuum cleaners here? »

I was really taken aback by how dirty the carpets are here. I noticed in the hallway outside our room what looked like 2 weeks worth of dirt ,lint etc all the way down the hall.In our room I had dropped an earring and ...wow...all sorts of tidbits on the floor. It made me question how well the bathroom has cleaned? I wondered what the plus was for because it should have been a negative?!

    « Another Great Night »

Once again our stay was excellent to say the least. Night person was pleasant and the morning person was pleasant also. Breakfast was good and room was clean. We are grateful to have Best Western along the way. Thanks.

    « Business Traveler »

Disappointing Stay. Not what I usually expect from a Best Western. Cleanliness issues, House Keeping issues Rooms were marginal and décor was dated. Bed was not comfortable with dips in sleeping spots. Overpriced for their service

    4
« Very nice place for the price »

I was very surprised by the cleanliness and comfort of the hotel. The front desk was extremely helpful and breakfast was great. I would definitely recommend this to friends or other visiting the area.

    5
« Clean rooms, friendly staff »

This hotel was very easy to find (not far at all from the highway exit) and it was well maintained inside. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast in the morning was good too. We were very happy with our stay and would definitely stay here again.

    4
    « Short stay »

I just want to reflect based on my 1 night stay in this hotel. I booked 3 rooms for our friends. We need to stop for the night from a long drive. Rooms are all very nice and clean. Washrooms/Restrooms are huge and fully updated. Breakfast was superb. Now for the staff lets say... very friendly. As I say I booked 3 rooms all under my name, we came from a long drive first family arrived before we did 10 mins apart. I was suprise upon entering and going to the front desk, the staff were about to hand in a key to my friend which I totally don't mind because it was indeed their room. But for what I know all the rooms are already charge under my credit card and all security authorizations. I dont think it's a normal thing to hand in a key to someone who's name is not on the reservation. I didnt complain neither said something that time since we all needed to rest and just lay down to our beds. Plus I don't want to send any negative reaction to my friend since like I said I dont mind because it is him. Maybe if its someone else?!? Anyway the place still deserve a 4 star we like it. near Interstate 81 close to the mall. Check out time is terrific. Only suggestion though, if you can do something about the swim time for families with children. For us we didn't had a chance to take advantage because right after breakfast we were told family swimming is not until 1pm?!? after check out? so not a 5 star but very good.

    « complaint »

My $1000.00 necklace was stolen by someone in housekeeping. I left my room in a hurry as I had an appointment and left my necklace on the desk. when I returned, It was missing,. I reported it to the front desk, but was told that the manager was not in as yet. I had to catch a flight home and called back to the hotel inquiring about the theft and was told that it would be looked into. I asked that I be called with the findings but have heard nothing. I will contact the JC police about the theft.

    5
    « many amenities nearby »

This hotel is near many amenities, including a very nice mall, multiple restaurants and some entertainment venues. Reasonably priced and very clean, the staff is very helpful and assisted me in contacting some vendors I was looking for in the area.

    4
    « Nice Hotel »

This hotel is conveniently located when traveling Interstate 88 / 86. The hotel was clean, the beds were comfortable and there was no problem with any noise. I experienced no problems during the stay. At check in, the person at the counter was very helpful and recommended a small restaurant for dinner that was great. Many other restaurants are also in the same area and the mall is just across the street.

    3
    « Meh... »

Very conveniently off Rte 17. The staff was friendly and kind. The room was quiet. But physically it's in a sad state. The carpets in both the hallways and my room needed a thorough cleaning or at least vacuuming. The shower was downright terrible. I don't think the value of my stay was worth what I paid, and I'll most likely look elsewhere the next time I'm passing through.

    5
    « Excellent »

The hotel is neat and clean. The staff exceptional. I have stayed at 5 star hotels and have not received the service and caring I did here. They even came to our door to make sure everything was ok when we were a little noisy. I hope you get to meet Charles at the front desk

  • 3
    « Clean but.. »

This is an old BW...the plus means a lounge, I guess, which is why there is a stale smoky smell to the entire place...wi fi did not work...air conditioner was so loud I had to cut it off...it is a noisy place. We did have a clean room and comfortable bed. Staff is extremely pleasant and polite. Free breakfast was good. For the price, it is a decent overnight stay.

    3
    « Amenities »

If you are looking for a pool this is not the place. The website states that there is a pool available for use at a club next door,However during our 3 night stay, it was available for a couple of hours one afternoon and after 8 at night when most children are heading off to bed. As grandparents of a child that really needs a pool to relax and get calm, the pool was the one feature that was a high priority.

    4
    « Clean, Convenient Stay »

This Best Western Plus is conveniently located close to major highways and shopping. It's about a 1 minute drive off the 'Shopping Mall' exit. The hotel itself appears modern with ample free parking and accessible entrances and elevators on both ends of the property. The reception staff was professional and accommodating, answering all questions. There is an indoor pool available for hotel guests located just off site across the back parking lot. I did not make use of it because I find shared pool resources with other hotels or businesses a bit awkward and inconvenient. In any case, I do not remember it being listed in the hotel features so I did not pack a swim suit. The room itself was of average size with average furnishings and an average HDTV. The above average points were the spotless carpets, even under the bed and the superbly comfortable bed and pillows. The washroom was average is size and style, but the water pressure was a bit weak. The included breakfast offered only the standard offerings in a room that was too small and crowded for a hotel of its size. Overall, I would highly recommend this Best Western for a short travel stop through New York state because its located extremely close to several chain restaurants, a 24 grocery store, major shopping mall, and more importantly it's clean and comfortable.

    5
« The plus is obvious. »

This Best Western Plus is located conveniently off of Interstate 81 and has all the essential amenities in a well kept facility that provides a great deal of comfort to travelers. Nearby restaurants and safe, well lit parking make this a restful and worry free stay.

    5
    « This is a winner »

Very clean and moderately priced. Many amenities within walking distance or a short drive (restaurants, supermarket, shopping mall, icecream store, etc.) I always stay here when I'm in the Binghamton area>

    « I'm Wondering Why The "PLUS" »

We've been travelling with a dog the past couple of years and rediscovered Best Westerns as one of the more often than not, "pet-friendly" hotel chains. That being said there remains in our limited experience, a significant inconsistency in the overall experience we've had at two Best Westerns and three Best Western Plus properties where two of the three latter (Plus properties) appeared newer and yet they offered far less breakfast choices and eating space than the 2 "just your regular BWs"...one of which was no extra charge for the dog as we are CAA members and the dog got a doggie bag with treats and a throw for their furniture! Great beds don't make up for a very noisy air conditioner, mildew in the bathroom and we feel if we pay $10 extra a night because of the dog, we shouldn't smell the last dog that was in our room...but when you arrive later...unpack the car...and then go looking for dinner...there's really no point in saying anything once you return and start to notice the little off putting things...the price was right and not all places take the dog! The breakfast offering was limited...scrambled eggs and bacon (both mornings)...the usual flip over waffle irons...three dry cereals one of them not sugar coated...The orange juice dispenser out of order the second morning...why the PLUS? On the "plus" side...they have a small lounge/bar with a couple of tables on the patio so we were able to bring food back to the hotel and eat it outside with the dog and enjoy a reasonably priced beer and a glass of wine as opposed to pizza in the room with the pooch. So if you're traveling with a dog...it's OK...but in my opinion it's at Best a Western...not a PLUS :)

    5
    « Stays at BW"S »

Johnson City was a nice stay, as with all Best Western Hotels. We have stayed at many Best Western hotels and have never had a bad experience. We only stay at Best Western hotels when we travel. Try them.

    4
    « Nice Hotel »

Friendly staff, breakfast bar, shops around area including a mall clean hotel. I have nothing but positive things to say about this hotel. We had a view of the mountains which was really nice. Places to eat all around

    2
    « Not a good Best Western. »

When the hotel says indoor pool you assume it's the hotels pool. Not so here. It's across the parking lot and belongs to another business that hotel guests are allowed to use. We did not. The door to the outside had a lock for you to swipe your room key to get in but it didn't work. You just walked in, it didn't lock. The breakfast area was small. Get there early if you want a table. Average food nothing special. Make your own waffles. Room doors shut hard so we heard slamming doors often. You have to check to be sure your door is closed tight. There was an old pizza box on the ledge outside our window. Faded so it's been there a while. Convenient location for shopping and dinning. And not far from Animal adventure zoo.

    5
    « Good Location »

The hotel was located close to the Animal Adventure Park. Friendly front desk staff, pool and gym was located in an adjacent fitness center. Breakfast had a variety of items both hot and cold. Close to a mall and many restaurants.

    « Slept one night »

This was a quick 10 hour stay, long enough just to get drunk & grab some sleep. I got the room through Priceline and paid $62+ taxes/Fees the total was $76. Can't go wrong. I arrived around 10pm, grabbed a cab at 10:15 and returned back at 2am and passed out. Woke up next morning and tried the breakfast. Very small breakfast area that was poorly maintained, garbage can overflowing and no where to sit. I decided to skip breakfast and find chocolate milk to nurse my hangover.

    1
    « Won't stay again »

Ad said pool was adjacent to hotel but was across the parking lot. When I arrived desk clerk seemed disinterested in my arrival. As a Best Western member your supposed to be greeted as such, nope. Looked like he was ready to go home. Did not bother going over express check out. Had a problem with my tv. They did eventually give me a new one . My biggest problem was my sunglasses. I left them in my room when I went to dinner . Half way home I checked my bag and they weren't there. I called the hotel and they said housekeeper didn't find them. There are no where to be found . Now I have to replace costly prescription glasses .

« Take your Own Pillow »

Hotel was passable ...... except for the pillows. My goodness the worst pillows I have ever tried to sleep with..... Staff was nice...close to dining ..... Close to highway ...... nothing was outstanding about this hotel.

    « Spiders!!!!! »

Terrible experience at this motel! Spiders were in the rooms. Housekeeping was awful. Due to my crew and I working at night we requested housekeeping on certain days so we slept during the day. We put the do not disturb on the door and the maids would come on in and wake us up. The door wouldn't shut good. When they did clean the room they would make the beds but didn't put clean sheets on the beds. Awful experience had to switch hotels during our stay.

    5
    « Worth the money »

Very clean, staff are friendly and helpful. Pool is not inside he hotel, it is in a separate building that is part of an athletic club. (hot tubs are not always on or in working condition) Breakfast has limited options, but there is a restaurant in the same lot as the hotel. Plenty of stores nearby (within walking distance) for any forgotten items. Rooms are spacious & comfortable. Walls are a little on the thin side.

« ANIMAL ADVENTURE PARK TRIP »

Hotel was convenintly located for the animal park. , breakfast buffet was good enough and served its purpose, they say they have an indoor pool but it was across a parking lot at a gym, you can get passess but it was inconvient and it must be cold to take a swim in the winter to walk the parking lot with wet hair. perfect location with lots of shopping and food

    5
    « Comfortable, clean room »

Check in was a breeze. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Bathroom was spacious and had nice towels and toiletries. Breakfast was complete with hot or cold options. Good coffee in the breakfast room at any hour. This place was perfect for our needs. Convenient location with restaurants nearby. Very reasonable rates.

    « Basic business/leisure motel »

Best part is very comfortable beds. Newly renovated. Free, simple hot & cold breakfast. ( scrambled eggs, you make waffles, breadspastries, cold cereals, coffee/tea [available 24hrs],). Staff is sometimes professional sometimes novice, with frustrating business traveler by mixing up/messing up reservations. Not my first choice for this location.

    « Clean room »

The staff was very professional and room was clean. Breakfast area was clean and food was pleasing, inter in room was fast and was able to workout in the fitness room, would stay here again..... the staff was cheerful

« Terrible customer service! Front desk clerk was obnoxious and useless! »

Don't come here if you want to swim or speak with someone about a problem with their hotel!!! We politely asked to lodge a complaint about the pool being closed when it was supposed to be open and were asked to leave the front desk area immediately because she wasn't going to do anything for us! Clerk was one of the rudest people we have ever dealt with! And we travel a lot!!! Will never stay here again!!!

« Good one night stay »

My girlfriend and I stopped at this Best Western after spending the weekend in New York City. The reviews were good as well as the price. Just a couple minor minuses-the bed linens were very scratchy and the bed was lumpy. No skim milk or fruit options at breakfast.

    3
« The location is great. Many restrants and a shopping mall. »

The hotel is in a great location for over night stay. The ac and rooms are ok. Average. The wifi did not work for me. Tried many time to connect with no luck. Breakfast was good with hot eggs and pancakes. Did not see bacon. One of the reason I booked this hotel was for the picture of a nice indoor pool. No Pool at the hotel. The give you voucher for a pool in the building across the big parking lot. Very disappointing.

    5
    « Excellent value & service »

I stay here often for business when in the area. The staff is always very pleasant & helpful & it is a great value. Always clean & quiet. The location is quite convenient and there are many restaurants right nearby. I highly recommend,.

    2
« Staff needs some help. »

The hotel was nice, just need some nicer people working in it. The breakfast was good, but the sitting area was a mess, ran out of milk for the kids cereal. Trash was overflowing. Front desk staff was not nice at all.

    4
    « My stay »

The hotel building and staff were very good. It was clean and in good shape. The A/C didn't cool good enough for our demands. It was in working condition, just couldn't get it cold enough. I would stay there again. I recommend anyone passing through to stay also.

    3
    « Long weekend stay »

I booked two rooms here for the Memorial day weekend. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Family in the area had said that the hotel had been recently renovated. The only real reason why I didn't give a better rating is because I was under the impression there is a pool. The pool and workout room are actually located off site at the adjacent Court Jester Fitness Facility. Not really a big deal but we didn't feel like lugging a bag of clothes to change into across the parking lot just to go swimming. It was a bit on the chilly outside to consider walking in our suits! The breakfast was pretty good.

    2
    « Don't recommend »

This hotel needs updating especially the rooms. The room was not very clean. The outside areas all need cleaning and updating. The staff was friendly, and the free breakfast was a plus. The location is convenient to the mall.

    « Skin Crawling »

We checked out of our room within one hour of checking in. As soon as the elevator opened to our floor the carpets greeted us with a layered dirt upon built in dirt which obviously hadn't met a Hoover in quite some time. The building itself is somewhat dated, that I can live with, but sanitation wise, more akin to a YMCA than a best western. Dirty carpets, dusty headboards, sweaty dusty smelling room / bedding. An inadequately cleaned bathroom displaying marks & smears, hairs left from previous guests. We thought it was only one night so grin n bear it until the itching started, that was our Q to depart. We are now sat in a quaint clean riverside Double Tree, 11 minutes away and only $10 more. No banging doors, just a clean and relaxed environment.

    3
    « Basic Accommodations »

We stayed as part of a school group looking for basic accommodations. The Best Western was the only available hotel and was fine for the one night stay. Staff was gracious, helpful and accommodating of the large groups. Breakfast in the morning was crazy busy but they opened the service early and kept it well stocked. Plenty of parking available. Walls are paper thin so noise from the hall and other rooms is an issue. Plenty of food establishments within short distance along with gas stations, grocery store, convenience store, etc.

    4
    « Good »

Staff isn't very friendly, but are professional, we were not recognized for being elite members of the rewards program, after discussing the availability of a handicap room ,which none were available, we were put at the end of the hall, and up stairs, other than that, the stay was good and worth the free room we received from our rewards. Oh there is an elevator.

    « Clean Comfortable Room »

Very quiet, even though there was a teenage party in the conference center which was close to the room. Clean, comfortable, accessible power outlets (sometimes there was none you can get to). Only problem was that the heat/air conditioner thermostat did not appear to work correctly.

    4
« Clean, comfortable and reasonable. »

Made reservations for a two night stay at the Best Western Plus. Check in was quick, and the gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. When we got to our room, we found it to be clean, comfortable, and everything seemed to be in good repair. The bed was very comfortable. My only issue was that the Wifi was very weak. The room was at the far end of the building from the front desk. I had to walk towards the front of the building in order to be able to log in on my iPad. Once I logged in and went back to the room, I found that downloads were extremely slow. Friday evening we went to the bar for a drink, and found the bartender to be unconcerned about how she served the customers. After serving us our first drink, she immediately headed outside for a smoke. Another customer came in and soon left, as the bartender did not pay attention to who was coming and going. We decided to head across the parking lot to the Ground Round for better service. Breakfast was OK, there was a school athletic team was staying there, and the attendant at the breakfast area worked hard keeping everything well stocked, and tables picked up and clean. I would stay at this hotel again, and would check the wifi in the room before I settled in.

« Good, Clean and Affordable »

I have stayed at this location a couple of times. I am a traveling sales manager and I spend a lot of nights in hotels across the country. The best western locations have been good for me because they are consistent with the quality and price. This location is very convenant and close to good food. This is a 4 star hotel with regards to price. It is good enough for me and I enjoy the rewards program.

« Ok hotel. Terrible check in »

Arrived at the hotel a little before 3pm to check in. Was told by the front desk that our room wasn't ready yet because they had a full house. No problem until 30 mins later and we were still waiting. Told the desk we were leaving if the room wasn't ready in 5 mins. It wasn't until after 4pm that we finally made it to one of our rooms (the other was still being cleaned). When we were walking by a room that was being cleaned the door was opened and I could see a member of the cleaning staff watching TV. No wonder none of the dozen guest I saw trying to check in also had rooms that were not yet cleaned. There are lots of other hotels in Binghamton and I'd recommend any of them over Best Western

    5
« Great Place to Stay! »

Our accommodations were wonderful! The hotel was very clean and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The beds were incredibly comfortable! The location was perfect! We would definitely stay here again.

    3
« Dated building but great staff »

Hotel conveniently located far enough from noisy traffic and at walking distance from Cacciatori = best family owned restaurant in the area. Squeaky bathroom door hinges and lose sink faucets. Bed areas smashed by previous overweight guests.

    2
« Very Bad Customer Service, »

I had a minor problem with the room, went to the front desk & asked to speak to the Manager. A young lady stated that she was the Front Desk Manager, so I told her my problem & she was very rude & unprofessional. IF she is the Front Desk Manager, then she should start acting like one & not escalating a minor problem into a major one.

« Wonderful Experience in Time of Trouble »

I came to NY for my Uncle's funeral. This hotel was booked for ease of catching an early morning flight. My flight home got cancelled and I was stranded in Binghamton and spent an additional night. The hotel was clean and the breakfast very good but it was the exceptional staff that went out of their way booking my room, printing my boarding passes and their concern when my flight was cancelled and their caring ways. I will definitely return the next time I am in Binghamton.

    5
« Great Hotel, close to Rt 17, Oakdale Mall, restaurants. Comfortable, quiet rooms »

We have stayed here before, and will use this hotel again anytime we need to be in the Binghamton/Johnson City area. Clean & comfortable, pleasant, professional staff, complimentary full hot breakfast, onsite cocktail lounge, adjacent 30,000-square-foot health club featuring state-of-the-art fitness equipment and an indoor swimming pool, all free to hotel guests. They also have business services and meeting/banquet facilities if you need them. Reasonable rates for such a grand hotel.

    3
« Probably would look elsewhere next time. »

Our hallway and room (4th floor) were faintly redolent of smoke despite the no smoking sign inside the room. The breakfast area was completely full, which forced us and others to eat in the nearby business room; the crowded nature of the area also made it likely that you would collide with another guest while one or both of you were carrying food/drinks. Also, the pool/fitness center being a hundred yards away from the hotel is less than ideal.

« Nice place to stay »

Nicely renovated. Excellent comfortable beds. Breakfast area comfortable. Nice simple breakfast. Scrambled eggs and bacon/sausage, fresh waffles w/fixings, breads, coffee/tea all the time, juices, cold cereal, yogurt. Friendly staff. Most comfortable room is King room. Internet spotty. Sometimes slow. Kept dropping connection. Any problems were always handled well by the staff.

« Best Western at Johnson City »

Good, clean hotel, great staff. Good breakfast including scrambled eggs, waffles, fruit, juice and great coffee., toast, muffins, etc. The room was clean, nicely decorated, the internet wifi worked perfectly, had a fridge, and flat screen tv. No problems encountered. Recommend this hotel, it is the third time we stayed in it.

    5
    « Clean rooms »

Stayed here on our way to the finger Lakes overnight . Rooms are clean , and employees were pleasant at front desk. Standard breakfast waffles, etc. Right off of Highway exit with plenty of restaurants and shopping in the area. Would stay again if in the area

    3
« Only stayed one night. Staff was helpful! »

Used gym across parking lot in the morning. It was a large facility compared to most hotel gyms. Having the opportunity to use a regular gym was an advantage. Conveniently located 5 minutes from the university too.

    4
« Clean rooms, yummy breakfast »

Price is right, stores and restaurants nearby. Room was very clean. Our choice for staying during conference for last 4 years. Only complaint is gym/pool off the grounds, but no biggie. Didn't use it this year anyway.

    4
    « Good Place »

Stayed while traveling on business. It is located in a plaza so unless you like asphalt the outside though clean is not great. The staff is friendly and helpful;and the lobby area is clean and bright. The rooms are clean and comfortable and though not new are maintained well. Only real complaint was that the high speed WIFI was not very speedy when I was there, but other than that a nice hotel with a great staff.

    5
    « Will stay again. »

This hotel is conveniently located near the highway and the Oakdale Mall. Breakfast was good; Our room was clean and comfortable. No problem with Wifi. There is a refrigerator and microwave. The staff is always friendly and helpful. We will be staying there next time we're in town.

    « Nice hotel »

Nice hotel, a bit dated but all you need is there, tip : dont take a smoking room, it smells like a old bar, i'm a smoker but cant sleep in the smell, nice people and shopping center 5 min walk away, parking and bar and even a full size free gym and pool complimentry

    5
    « Traveling »

I am a truck driver for Animal Supply. I travel every Monday and do a over nighter. I never know where I'm going to end up. But, I can look on the web and guess. I normally look for Best Westerns or Comfort. It is too bad that there is not more Best Westerns on my route. But, when I find one I stay there. Like the one in Sayre P.A. & Towanda P.A.

    3
    « Needs renovations. »

I have stayed here in the past and been satisfied but much has changed in the years since I was last here. This trip was for 6 nights. The hotel is in need of renovations. The room was stale and the doors into the bathroom and closets were different colors. The breakfast left much to be desired. In fact I went out for breakfast after the first day. Security was lacking because the side door never locked. If I had been with my wife I would have checked out and find other accommodations near by.

    « awesome »

very nice - costumer service was outstanding- very very friendly and kind- will for sure stay at this best western if back in the area- parking area was well lit and the breakfast was very good, everything very hot and ready- multiple of food to pick from, eggs and sausage were really fresh

    3
    « I really wouldn't recommend it »

Outside the front desk, breakfast area and office service room, the property is in a bit of disrepair. The room door wasn't square with gaps at the top and bottom so I heard everything in the hallway, including the elevator motor. Bad caulk job in the bathroom. Little details throughout - not the level of quality I usually associate with Best Western.

    5
    « Superb »

This hotel was a great surprise. It is a hidden gem. By providing this praise, i'm risking the hotel vacancy to disappear. This is such a great bargain it's unbelievable. My family loves this hotel and we'll keep coming back.

    2
« Very low value for the money »

It was the first stay at Best Western Plus, we stayed in just West Western before (without +). They asks more money, but provides less quality than regular BW. Room was not clean, there were hair in bathroom, TV quality was bad, WIFI connection showed a strong signal, but Inernet itself was extreamly slow. Bed linen had a strong unpleasant smell of soap or something. I really don't understand what makes it PLUS except price. Breakfest was ok, nothing special, but not bad. I don't think we will stay there again.

    3
    « A serviceable hotel »

The hotel is fine. I was there for less than 8 hours, so not a lot to say. The noise level from the hallway intruded into the rooms pretty badly, but not so badly as to make it a non-starter. Breakfast was pretty decent in this category. Staff was quite good, given my limited interactions.

    1
    « What a dump! »

I stay all over for business and this has to be one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. Parking lot stinks and they advertise pool and gym but it's not even in the hotel you have to go to a separate place to use these amenities. Breakfast was nothing special and my room could have used a deep cleaning mold the bathroom, toilet dirty, and dust everywhere!! I've stayed at other hotels in the area for half the price and much better quality!! Stay away

    2
    « very disappointed »

The hotel was nice, the room not quite as clean as I would like. The breakfast was nice. I was greatly disappointed at the pool situation. It is deceptive to post the pics online and the pool offsite and with limited hours that are available to children after checkout. I asked the morning staff on duty and she did call over and my children were allowed to swim for a short time, however, this information should be displayed online prior to purchase. I have never stayed at a hotel with such a situation or such strict restrictions for children's use of the pool and that was the main reason why I chose this place.

    4
    « Good night sleep »

This hotel is clean, staff friendly and nice rooms. Enjoyed our stay. Only downside was the pool is in a fitness center next door. Family swim is 8pm-10pm at night. The time when we put our kids to bed.

    3
    « Average Hotel »

Good amenities but could have gotten better for the price I paid. Rooms were clean. Though printers were not working in the business center and staff had no clue to fix it. Breakfast was good. I liked the location as we were travelling to new york city from Rochester.

    4
« Great Hotel for the price »

Best Western Johnson City was a few minutes drive from all the places we wanted to see in Binghamton and SUNY Binghamton Campus. It had the very best price and the beds were extremely comfortable. Friends who were having difficulty sleeping at home slept better in these beds. Shower pressure was ok. Toilets were a bit low. The room size was nice and use of the mini fridge was great. We were able to adjust air temperature in the room to exactly what we wanted. We had use of the Court Jester Gym across the way and it was nice to go for a swim. Water was a bit warm. Breakfast was nothing fancy, the usual cereal, eggs, waffle station. But they did offer gluten free cereal for one of my friends.

    « Very nice ! »

Stayed here for two nights with a group of friends as it was a halfway meeting point. The location is wonderful, with walking distance to a shopping mall and many resturaunts including a Friendlys and a Ground Round steps from the hotel lobby! The hotel is clean and nice and serves breakfast. They have a small bar with outside seating. A pool and gym are across the parking lot in another facility that you can get a pass to. Great location to Binghampton....the front desk and employees were very helpful and went out of their way for you ! Only con pillows were a bit uncomfortable

    5
« Very Good Stay in Johnson City, NY »

My friends and I really enjoyed staying at the Best Western Plus in Johnson City, NY for our mini reunion this summer. There were seven of us and we all had a lovely time, enjoyed the amenities of the hotel and the breakfast buffet. The hotel is nicely appointed and there are fun things to do nearby. We went to the Binghamton Zoo and to the Oakdale Mall directly across the highway from the hotel. We ate at a Friendly's and a Ground Round that were right there too.

    5
    « good location »

My room had every thing I needed and more. Frig, microwave, desk and chairs, and it was very clean. There were several choices of restaurants and pubs in area and yes in walking distance. My favorite thing, however, was the Wegman's across the street. The fitness club that this hotel is associated with (in same parking lot) sounded like a dream, I wish I had allowed myself more time to explore it. This is one of the best Best Westerns I've visited.

    4
    « A very friendly place »

A Best Western hotel is usually a good bet when looking for a nice place to stay for the night. The room was large and the bed comfortable, and it was quiet. There were good restaurants nearby at walking distance which was nice.

    3
    « No pool »

We chose this hotel specifically because it offered a pool. No pool, only use of a pool in a nearby health club. Since we wanted the pool for young children, and children's hours were limited (coinciding with nap time and bedtime), we payed extra for a service we were unable to use. Misleading. Otherwise the hotel is pretty much what you would expect and similar to others nearby

    4
    « Stayed twice! »

We needed a hotel mid-way on our trip! This location worked out well for our needs! The signage for this location was lacking {didn't know if we were at the Best Western, only when seeing the logo on the doors}!!! It was a good experience once we established the Hotels - Alliance with B.W, !! Good / well stocked breakfast & friendly staff. We liked the place so much, we stopped here on our return trip !! That says alot !!

    5
    « Convenient location »

After spending a great day in Bethel, NY, we arrived at the BW in Johnson City on our way home to Mississauga. This was a pleasant stay in all ways...clean, friendly staff, well appointed room, quiet, easy access to the highway, and a good variety of restaurants nearby. Perfect ending to our weekend get-away!

    3
« Overpriced for Graduation w/ not enough towels »

Raised the price and required a two day stay for Binghamton Graduation. Not enough towels and the front desk could not get us any more. We had three towels for four adults for both days. Also, noisy party until 1:00. The hotel is normally a good stay, but fell way short this trip.

    4
    « Graduation visit »

My son recently graduated from Binghamton University in Vestal N.Y. Although this was an extremely busy time of year we were able to reserve (in advance) two rooms with two double beds and a cot for friends and family to stay over. Having stayed at the hotel several years ago, I was expecting a marginally satisfactory setting. To my surprise it has been improved considerably, is relatively clean and well maintained. Breakfast is not gourmet style but it was adequate and included eggs, toast, bacon, etc. Overall we were all satisfied with our visit! I would return in the future and/or recommend the hotel to others. A short five minute drive to the campus!

    3
« Not the best or the worst »

We stayed 5 nights here during Cornell University Graduation week. We drove back & forth daily to Ithaca daily & it was an easy drive both ways. We had to split our stay into 3 separate reservations to keep business & personal expenses separate, & called the hotel directly to advise & request that we keep the same room for the entire stay. We were assured that this would be no problem, but EVERY DAY our key cards were deactivated, & 1 day they thought we were checking out & the maid went into the room when we had the do not disturb sign on the door. Evidently after explaining on the phone & in person at check in, the separate reservation issue was not communicated. Aside from having to go back down to the desk for key activation every day, the Lounge/bar was not open at any time during our stay. The breakfast was not up to par for a BW Plus, but was ok for what it was. A better grade of coffee & fruit selection would have made it much better (only had apples) The rooms were quiet, no noise from other rooms, very clean, no odors, the beds & pillows very comfortable & they happily gave us extra pillows. The large bath vanity was great for 2 of us ladies to have plenty of room to put our toiletries at separate ends. AC was quiet. The parking lot is not vey well lighted & the lighting in the front drive was non existent which could pose a safety issue. There are no good restaurants close by but there are several within walking distance if you are not picky. The staff was pleasant & professional. Other than the key cards deactivating, no bar, no good restaurants & poor lighting outside we had no complaints & would stay here again. It needs a little more in our opinion to be a BW Plus though. No pool on premises but you can get a pass to a gym/pool across the parking lot.

« best stay in town »

The staff was very pleasant and informational. The comfort of the hotel was very comfy. I slept great and they had a full house. I never heard a sound. I was impressed with how clean everything was and fresh smelling. When I first arrived the couple in front of me where very picky and gave the young lady a hard time. She stayed very polite and kept her poseur. I was impressed. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

    4
    « Poor breakfast »

Very poor breakfast. Nice, big rooms. The room was very clean and had all the needed facilities. Close to the highway to NY - Buffalo. All around there was a shopping area and all kind of cafes and restaurants

    5
    « Binghamton graduation weekend »

The staff was very courteous and accommodating. At the last minute I had to bring my pet and was pleased to hear that the hotel is pet friendly and they were able to change my room to accommodate my pet, while keeping our 3 rooms that I booked, together. The cost of the rooms were very, very reasonable. We also left valuables behind after our stay and the staff had collected them and kept them aside for us to arrange to be picked up. Staff was excellent!

    3
    « Adequate--but certainly not a "Plus" »

We stay at Best Westerns when traveling because we have a dog, and they are pet-friendly there. We found that the pet fees do vary, though, in different locations. The fee at the BW in Battleboro, NC was $20; in Binghamton, NY (which is a BW Plus), it was just $10. Also, the "dog area" outside was so much larger and nicer in NC. They had a "doggie-pot" station (with poop bags and a disposal), too--whereas the Binghamton one did not. I guess I was expecting a lot more at the Binghamton location, being as the charge was higher than at the regular Best Westerns. But, to me, it was not really a step up, or the "Plus" I expected. There was a problem with the toilet flushing; the beds were not as comfortable as the ones we had in NC.; and the staff was not as hospitable as our "Southern" staff was.

    4
    « Stay in Endicott »

Nice staff, very courteous & let us do a late checkout & no problems getting extra towels. Nice breakfast with a wide variety including hot & waffles. coffee all day which is nice. Negative was the Indoor pool advertised was not attached, & was an exercise lap pool not suited for young kids family swimming.

    4
« Good hotel and location »

We checked in late without any problems. The room was up to our expectations, the service was very good, my wife enjoyed her stay! good location for shoppers with many restaurants and a gym next door for BW customers

« Best Wester Plus Johnson City »

My husband and I drove from Kittery, ME to Binghamton, NY to pick up our new puppy. I booked our hotel a day before we were going to head down, and the Best Western Plus seemed like the most affordable and best bargain for our buck, also looked like it had the best amenities to offer, once again for a low price, and it looked like it was well kept, and pretty clean, only slightly dated. When we arrived we were happy we had chosen this hotel instead of others I had considered. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, our room was a great size with king size bed and wet bar, and even though some parts were only slightly dated (which is to be expected in this sort of hotel) everything was very clean and well kept! We used the gym which is right across the parking lot and open 24 hours, and also has a pool! The hotel also has a bar on site which we didn't go to, but would have it we had more time! We enjoyed our stay here and think we paid the right price for what we got!

    3
    « Very convenient location »

Not the best hotel I have stayed in, but certainly not the worst. This hotel is typical of the generic hotels in this particular range. The room was pleasant and clean with mini fridge and microwave. I would avoid rooms on the first level because there is little separation from the common areas. A complimentary breakfast with the usual waffle maker and other breakfast foods provided. Location is in the same parking lot as several chain restaurants and coffee shops. There is a shopping mall and major super market across the street. If you have business in the Binghampton area, there are entrances to major expressways nearby. The hotel does provide access to a gym next door.

    1
    « Tired »

Wifi does not work in room (403). Front desk had no idea what to do. Had to sit in hallway on the floor to use it. Air conditioner rattled like a bucket of bolts all night. Mattress is saggy and the bedspread looked like something you wouldn't want your body to touch. Tv picture was fuzzy. Not going back there again.

    2
« Nosiy Outdated Customer Service Training Required »

The room was good to crash at 1AM. 7AM Room attendants woke me up laughing and talking loud. Hallway was never cleaned. Returned following week and was told the room would be available in 30 mins and I would get a call on my cell by Angie. She did not call. 3 hrs later we tried to check in to find out the reservation was for the following date.

« Not your average Best Western »

I stayed here for two nights on a weekend. The hotel needs to be remodeled. I found hair in the bath tub that was 6" longer than mine. The location is good and there are several places to dine and drink with in walking distance.

    5
    « Comfortable - Quality »

Where I do a lot of traveling, I want to know that at the end of the day when I need somewhere to sleep (don't know where I might end up), I can count on an international chain for consistency. Best Western has always been comfortable, clean and accommodating. Thanks Best Western.

    3
    « Shabby; basic hotel »

There is no pool. Guests may use the gym across the street. The breakfast was bland. There is a humming noise a bit too loud to be tolerable. The housekeeping staff is very nice and helpful. The lobby is very small. There are family friendly restaurants in the same parking lot so that is convenient.

Pros - room was roomy and clean... 2 desks were a bonus...plenty of good places to dine out ...small breakfast area but food items were very good... eggs and bacon... Cons - unable to control heat in room ... I set the thermostat as low as it would go and still heat was coming out ? I had to shut the unit off in order for us to sleep comfortably ...lucky for us we like it cool in the room otherwise this would be more of an issue...

The Best Western Plus is an awesome place to stay whether its for business or for pleasure. Dino the GM is phenomenal !!! All of the hotel staff were very friendly and great. Anything that we needed they were there right awy to help. The free breakfast was good also. The bar lounge was fun with the few people that my friend and I met. Andrea the bartender was exceptionally awesome also. The gym is huge!! I had a very relaxing stay and look forward to visiting that hotel again soon.

« OK for Tourney Stay, Dad and son »

Other than a funky hotel smell on the second floor, for the money, this was a value for sure. Needed a place to crash for 8 or so hours one night. Might have looked elsewhere for a longer stay. Staff and service was great. Reservations easy, check in and out smooth.

« Never let down by a best western. »

On our trips to the USA we always try to stay in a BW as we know that the rooms are a good price the staff are always helpful this hotel ticked all the boxes, good restaurants are located nearby and the free breakfast is a bonus .

« Convenient, clean and comfortable »

Whether you're just traveling through the area or in town for a duration, this BW has a lot going for it -- close to shopping, restaurants and recreational outlets -- and right off the Interstate. The staff is always friendly and helpful, too!

« Fine for an overnight business trip »

Brief stay, brief review. I traveled from south central PA to Syracuse and stopped here overnight. Check in was easy, room was clean, and bed was reasonably comfortable. I didn't use the tv at all or the gym/pool facilities there were across the parking lot. The breakfast was hot and the selection was decent. There wasn't anything extra, but it was adequate. I would stay here again for business, but probably not for an extended leisure stay. The hotel is dated and the bathroom has some dirt build up in the corners, but it wasn't anything that affected me stay.

    « 2 kids ab Binghamton »

I have 2 children who attend Binghamton University and I always stay here. It is close to the school and I like that the mall is close by. Also access to the Court jester gym is an excellent bonus. I have been to other Best Westerns elsewhere and they have suites available. This one does not have suites and that would be something that I would really like.

    « One night - Family visit »

Hello fellow traveler... I travel to the area 3 times a year and have found this hotel to be a convenient location to family as well as shopping etc.., clean, safe, friendly staff and priced fairly. The area is not quiet but like most hotel locations expected. People, guests and staff, at this hotel tend to be up early, before 7am and up late, past 11pm.... but, it was Friday

    « Great stay...just one issue »

The hotel and staff were great. The room was large and clean. The ONLY complaint was the toilet in the accessible room I had. It was not handicap height. My husband was not able to accompany me on this stay, but if he had, he would not have been able to use the toilet in our room. Yes, there was a bar for assistance, but his legs do not function well at all and he would have not been able to get down that low and back up again. Can you please consider making the toilets in the accessible rooms handicap height? If not, my husband will not be able to stay there with me.

    « Very Nice Hotel »

We stayed at this hotel because it seemed to offer what we were looking for and found it to be very nice. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The beds were comfortable. The staff were very nice especially the lady in charge of the breakfast area. She kept everything well stocked and the selection was a surprise from other places we stayed because not only a waffle maker but hot eggs and meat every morning. Would definitely stay there again if in the area.

« Very Good hotel for the money »

Very clean hotel, courteous staff, deluxe breakfast was good and things replenished fairly quickly but just a bit crowded, Wifi was very good and it is located close to SUNY Binghamton and there are plenty of places to shop and many place to dine that are just minutes away.

    « Nice Stay »

Just returned from a two night stay at the hotel after visiting for family weekend at Binghamton University. The room itself was comfortable and clean. It is an older hotel but in good condition. One of the beds had an annoying squeak. The only other thing that I did not like was the hallway of the fourth floor looked like it had not been vacuumed for days. Overall it was a good stay and would stay there again.

    « Wonderful »

No regrets, only the best place we could have spent 2 nights after a long drive. You won't regret this place. It was clean, quiet, convenient to shopping, downtown, several restaurants, and close to the main highways. We will be back.

« Would be happy to stay again! »

Nice staff, comfortable beds, clean rooms, and very convenient. It is handy to have a shopping mall (with a Macy's), a grocery store (Wegman's) and a good liquor and wine store just across the street. Plus a reasonable price.

« Convenient, clean, cordial, and a good breakfast »

It is a great location, near a Mall and the Wegman's grocery store and a good liquor and wine store. Plus it is within 10 minutes of downtown Binghamton N.Y. I wouldn't hesitate to stay at this Best Western again.

    « Weekend trip »

The location of the hotel was pretty good, it was close to the highway and a lot of restaurants. The rooms were clean, although a little dark as there was only one window. The pool was surprising. I was under the impression that the pool was inside the hotel, but it turned out to be on the other side of the parking lot in a fitness facility, with very limited family swim times. The complimentary breakfast was good, quite a variety, but the quality could've been a little better on the baked items. The front desk staff were very pleasant and helpful.

    « Good review! »

I'm visiting family in Upstate New York and drove down to Johnson City last-minute to visite a friend I haven't seen in 20 years. After our visit, I was too tired to drive back. Five minutes after I booked the room online, I checked-in at the desk, and have no complaints! Clean accomodations, friendly staff, and the free breakfast was good!

« Nice place, all the basics. »

We were here to visit a friend in hospital. The town is basic. The hotel is everything you want in such circumstances: Conveniently located, clean, comfortable, reasonably priced. They offered a nice discount due to hospital related visit.

    « Great stop »

We chose to stay at this property the day before traveling. Couldn't find a hotel in Syracuse, so chose to stay one hour south. The hotel was clean, the bed was perfect, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

« Best Western, Johnson City, NY »

Super staff, top to bottom. I called or dealt with several different people at the front desk - each was helpful and courteous. Local knowledge was useful. Clean, comfortable room. Desk to work at, chairs to read in. Great complimentary breakfast. Check in, check out a breeze.

« Very comfortable, great breakfast, excellent fitness center »

This hotel is well situated for access to many activities in the Binghamton, NY area. The staff is professional and friendly, the breakfast bar is one of the finest, and the next door fitness center has anything once could want: pool, weights, indoor workout options, steam and sauna! Great place at a great price!
