"Nothing special at all"
TWO AND ONE-HALF STAR to be exact. Not horrible, but not great. It does seem that Best Western is rebranding many basic hotels in an effort to somehow differentiate them, but I just don't see it. BW Premier is really no different from an ordinary best western. While some are quite nice (always the new ones), the older ones (like this place) aren't very good. They jazz up the lobby, restaurant bar, and put down some vinyl wood floors in the rooms and call it "Premier". I"ve stayed at four of them now and can say that for all but one (the NEW one). I would not stay here solely because of consistent internet issues. I'm here for business. Without consistent service provided, and at fast speeds, I'm hopeless. Service was in and out for two days. Even the TV had service go out on two occasions. I've heard this place will be sold to Marriott who will invest some $$ in renovation. It is needed. Really, I can't possibly return the way it is now.
"Just okay"
My room was not great. Bathtub had hair in it, shower curtain was dingy and disgusting, the tub itself was in bad shape and did not have a stopper to fill the tub. Blood stain on base bed sheet. Exposed electrical wiring under mattress at headboard. Overall, poor upkeep/maintenance/construction in room. Good night of sleep with a comfy bed but not what I consider Premier for a Best Western.

"The bathroom was disgusting."
The toilet and the tub were dirty, I didn't even take a bath because I wasn't going to bathe in such a dirty tub. The manager of the hotel was not interested in what I was saying, he did not even ask me for an apology, that gave me to understand why the room was like this.

Very clean and updated hotel. Bed was comfortable and the hotel felt safe. Pool looked nice although we didnt use it. And the location of the hotel is great. Rooms were well kept and staff was Great. Would stay here again.

"Excellent Customer Service"
This Best Western prides itself on customer service and it shows in every area! Whether you need more towels, Kleenex, or another banana at breakfast, they make it happen! This is going to be our new place to stay when we visit Jacksonville to see our grandchildren!

"Lots of potential, but not there yet"
Very disappointed in this stay. Phones in the rooms were out of service, internet was spotty, mold in bathroom tub, stain on bedsheets, dirty laundry behind the TV, eggs at breakfast were ice cold. Only bright spot- front desk staff was as helpful as they could be given the limitations placed on them by hotel management and maintenance.
"DO NOT Stay Here!!"
DO NOT STAY HERE! This is like a third world hotel. Shower was COVERED in black mold. ROOM SMELLED LIKE MD. Room did not have a hair dryer, phone, or washcloths when we checked in. Toilet paper holder broken off. Beds comfortable. Towels are very small, thin, and rough. Shower head needs replacing, lights in halls flickering-need to change bulbs. People were smoking right outside entrance door. Last night the hotel sign was out. One of the 2 luggage carts has wheel bearings out and would not roll. Obvious they are not spending any money on this property. We were in room 213. This is an embarrassment to the Best western Premier name.

"Bad odor, poor maintenance and staff"
We normally stay at this location when we visit Jacksonville. However, the room smelled like mold and mildew, and we were stuck in a room with no working TV for our 2 days stay. Although I loved the location, I would not recommend.

"Quick stay"
Stayed only for one night for a concert but I would definitely stay here again. Super friendly staff and the rooms were clean. Everything that you could need for a quick trip or an extended stay could ask for.

"Would not recommend "
Very disappointed with the cleanliness of this hotel. The shower had visible mildew (we were unable to shower due to the condition) and we had to wipe up the bathroom floor due to grime. For the price we paid I would not recommend.

"Out of Service Room disaster"
We arrived at Best Western Premier in Jacksonville after 12 hour trip from Charlotte. Prepaid for room on credit card. Room had llinnens and garbage left outside door, no coffee maker, no clock, no phone, tv not working, towels substandard and past lifespan. Service tried to fix problems but never came back. Never offered a room change and too exhausted to deal with. Next day Manager said room was out of service and should not have been given. Michael offered to reimburse entire bill. Next day, no refund. Emailed him to inquire. No response. Stay away from Best Western..

"Stay away as there is garbage in hallways and my wife killed a roach in bathroom."
There is no housekeeping. We stayed 4 nights and there was no maid service to clean our room or empty garbage. People leave garbage in halls and stairwell. My wife killed a roach in our bathroom. The breakfast was of poor quality with limited selections. We have been doing a lot of traveling and of the 10 or so Best Westerns we have stayed on the past year, this was the worst. We would not stay there again. I did complain to a woman I thought was a housekeeping supervisor and to a front desk clerk, but nothing was done. After I left , I did exchange emails with the general manager and sent him pictures of the dead roach and garbage. He insinuated that I was lieing and the pictures were not his hotel. He also inferred that he would dispute anything that I put on social media about the hotel. I think that all of my 400 reviews on trip advisor were fair assessments and I usually am generous with my reviews giving mostly 4 and 5 stars.
"Home away from home"
From the time I arrived until my departure I was made to feel like a treasured house-guest. Dealing with Debbie at the desk and Mike in the office made my life really easy. The breakfast was delicious and the rooms are quiet and comfortable. This is the bestest Best Western ever!

"Don't book this hotel"
I travelled 6 hours for an appointment there, an upon arriving with my mom and two year old son, was met with an extremely rude and unhelpful agent at the desk. I could go on about this experience, but trust me, I travel all the time for business, and this was the worst experience I have ever had.
"Convenient and Comfortable"
The hotel is located just off 95, among a few other hotels, a Dave and Busters and a few office buildings. We arrived very late and they had our room ready. Overall it was a pleasant place to stay. The beds were probably the most comfortable beds I've stayed in at a hotel recently. The TV was huge and there was a Keurig coffee maker in the room. The space was a little larger than typical which was very nice since we were there for several days. The one area that needs some work was the bathroom which seemed in need of an upgrade. There was no vanity lighting over the mirror and the overhead light was too dim so it was hard to see while getting ready. There were only a two bath and hand towels (no washcloths) and while we could have asked for more, it's usually typical to have at least four sets per room. The bathtub and the fixtures were in need of an upgrade and there were some things missing (glasses, extra soaps, vent) that made the stay less than ideal. But overall, the hotel staff was very accommodating and the free breakfast was a nice perk. The all-day coffee machine was very nice to have available in the lobby. The pool was clean and there were towels available on the pool deck. I would recommend staying here but I'd also suggest an upgrade to the bath area!

"Best western"
It was not a bad stay. The beds were comfortable and the place was clean. Most of the lights and outlets did not work in our room. We went to the continental breakfast and the coffee was really good. Otherwise you had your basics apples, toast, cereal, and individually package muffins and granola bars.

You'll enjoy this hotel. Hands down! There is literally no complaints that I have. The hotel is located near Dave and Buster. After enjoying the town out we went straight to Dave and Buster and had a blast!

"On site dining?"
If you consider toast and oatmeal with lemonade on site dining. Breakfast consisted of bread/english muffin, packets of oatmeal and lemonade. Hot breakfast if you toasted the bread and added hot water to the oatmeal They did have cereal.

"College visits"
Debbie at front desk was a tremendous help in changing our room during a busy weekend. I can't thank her enough as the floor we were originally on was extremely noisy at night and I had kids that needed to sleep.

"Jacksonville "
Hotel conveniently locate, free parking. Room good size, clean and modern. Nice little pool outside. Customer service was good and 5mins walking to dave and busters. Due to our amtrak being pushed back i required an latet check out, only option was to pay for full night when only required until 9pm. Hourly rate would have been a good Option for this
"Bad"
The room and hotel itself inside was great. Just lack of any kind of security outside. Had work truck and tool boxes broke into and yes it was locked was triple checked. So lost 5700$ in tools needed for me to work out of town. But since they only have dummy cameras and not real ones on roof someone made out really well that night and doesn't have to worry. But other then security was a nice hotel

"BW great hotel"
Great location, friendly staff, clean, not far from many restaurants.... the free breakfast is lacking, not as good as other BW I have been too, fitness center saved a lot of gas vs. driving to the gym. Quiet area...overall good stay.

"Very Underwhelming"
Dirty rooms, rude people. Maid knocking on our door to get out of our room 20 minutes before checkout. Extremely unprofessional staff. Room felt dirty. Mold in shower. Would not go back and would not recommend.

"Fabulously Comfortable!"
Front desk staff was always pleasant and accommodating. Our room was beautiful, just like the pictures! Beds & pillows were amazing!!! Pool was clean and the deck area was very well kept and pleasant to look at.

"Could Use A Few Pointers on Housekeeping"
Overall my room was clean however my refrigerator was not clean, my toilet paper holder was missing the crucial element, and the room was without a coffee maker. The woman that checked us in was polite considering she was dealing with an establishment that advertised a bar/restaurant but it was closed. It must be difficult to face hungry disappointed travelers who are expecting to eat.

"Stellar Service, Spotlessly Clean"
I live in Georgia, and I was scheduled for out-patient surgery in Jacksonville. I chose this hotel for its location. The service from Debbie and Terah at the front desk was extremely accommodating and professional. The coffee/tea served in the lobby 24 hours is excellent - and the breakfast served from 6-9am in the same area was well-stocked with Continental Breakfast items. The only hot food I noticed available was toast you make yourself. Every area of the hotel - the lobby, breakfast area, hallways, elevators, and pool area - were all very clean. The pool provides a chair-lift for handicapped access into and out of the water. Our room was spotlessly clean. The thermostat is located on the wall, so you can set the room to a specific temperature. Very comfortable bed. Lots of pillows. Great HD TV. Keurig brand coffee maker, microwave, and mini fridge were clean and worked well. The hotel was quiet, and the parking lot was well-lit. All rooms are accessed via elevators, from the hotel lobby. Excellent hotel!

"Great hotel"
I have had a couple of doctors appointments in Jacksonville and needed to stay overnight. I chose this hotel because of the location and the rating. It's 5 minutes from my doctor's office. The service is great and it's very clean. The beds are super comfortable. I will continue to stay here on future visits.

"Friendly staff"
The room was comfortable and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. They were quick to make sure we had an enjoyable stay. The beds were very comfortable. Great location. Ben and Jerry's is directly across street. I only wish the hotel restaurant/bar was open.

"Not premium"
This hotel had beautiful furnishings and fixtures but missed the mark on maintenance. The TV channels were not available. And it was too late to have anyone come to the room to address it as offered. The pre-packaged cheese danish for breakfast was the cheapest quality ever, tasted like card board. There was so much trash around the lovely pool area it was sad.

"Just ok…"
We arrived at our scheduled check in time on our pre registration and our room wasn't ready, which was no big deal except why ask when we would arrive. Breakfast was sad. Only cold cereal and stale muffins and danishes. The walks are very thin and since we were 2 doors down from the elevator, we heard the ding mist of the night.

"Unclean and Unprofessional"
The front desk staff (nightshift, male with longer dark hair) was wildly unprofessional and made us uncomfortable upon check in. The room was no very clean or well kept. The bathtub dripped constantly, lots of paint peeling, toilet & tub had stains, lots of dirt/sand/hair/debris in the corners of bed frame. Overall not very clean or well kept hotel.

"Average Hotel, nothing special"
Walked into a very warm, stuffy, room. Also, the room def wasnt cleaned thoroughly. Found food and trash in the refrig, floor wasnt cleaned very well, and our feet was black from the carpet in the hallway. Wall outlet wasn't installed correctly. You can get a finger between the wall and the plate. Def disappointed!

"Okay but not great."
Check in staff was very nice but we had requested extra pillows. He had looked earlier since it was on our reservation and said he could not find where they were stored and no one answered his calls. Why would the pillows be hidden? Breakfast was prepackaged pastries and muffins. Orange juice was mostly water. Check out staff ignored me. Some lights/outlets in the room did not work. Overall, it was okay for a 1 night stay.

Pass this place up horrible 1 ice machine for the entire hotel Dirty room case of empty beer cans in the dresser smells of bleach. New best suite tv didn't work no hot water warm at best after running 5 minutes noisy heater clicking on and off dirty floors broken down furniture. Do your self a favor pass it up. Leaves in the ice cold pool

"Cleanliness was missing"
Bed and room looked very nice. Bed was great and comfy. Upon packing in the morning and checking to be sure nothing would be left behind I found an empty bottle in one of the dresser drawers and some unrecognizable goo on the right side of the bed between the night stand and bed. Nasty looking. The floor did not appear to have been dusted or swept very well. Next time we will inspect room before unpacking. This happened once before at a different hotel. We could see the room was very dirty upon walking in and they moved us right away.

"Better options for the price"
Hotel receptionists were friendly. However, the hotel did not meet my expectations. The coffee machine ran out of coffee 10 minutes after the breakfast period started. Only 1 serving of DECAF in the room, no service packs. Mold or mildew in the shower. Desk chair wheel fell off. Two sets of room keys failed. Only 2 towels in the bathroom for a reservation of 4 people.

"Okay but not great"
The room looked nice and the beds were okay but the bathtub was in severe disrepair and had hair all in it like someone had just shaved. Most electrical plugs in the room did not work, had to plug everything in to the plugs on top of the alarm clock.

"Comfortable and clean"
The front desk workers were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was skimpy and only cold, pre-packages items were available (that could be a COVID problem). We had to call down for a plunger, which was delivered promptly. The cleaner had stuffed the last two tissues in the box and when we asked for another, we were told we'd have to come down to the desk to get it. I believe the front desk person was unable to leave his post. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. We'd stay there again, but plan to eat elsewhere.

"Handicapped room didn't have all necessary amenities for a person with problems"
Horrible hotel room and amenities. Reserved a handicapped room and the bathroom didn't have all the needed stuff.... toilet height, grab bars and no shelf in the shower to put soap, shampoo or nothing. Floor in the bathroom was dirty, like it hasn't been cleaned in days, and same for the sleeping area.

We are deeply sorry but the room you booked online was a regular 2 queen beds. Our ADA rooms are only kings. Our staff had tried to accommodate you into a room that may be of help. Our ADA roll in showers were sold out and the room you are in is not considered an ADA room. We are sorry you were not happy and when you book a room and it does not say ADA please contact the hotel and sometime they can help if the rooms are not sold out.
"No restaurant or bar on site as advertised"
We checked into this hotel late last night. We were told at checkin the bar and restaurant were closed. Fair enough. We found out this morning that they are closed due to lack of staff. We specifically chose this hotel for the advertised hot breakfast and bar. We have family members and wanted a public space to gather and have a glass of wine. And the breakfast is now plastic pastries and yogurt. Very disappointed. All other hotels that have had to make adjustments for COVID or whatever sent emails in advance of our stay so we knew what to expect prior to arrival. I think this is very poor customer relations.

We are deeply sorry but we are not the only hotel or restaurant in the area or in the state that is having issues with staffing. This just happened and while we do apologize for the inconvenience this too has been tough on us. There is Dave and Busters across the street walking distance that is giving our guest discounts for food and beverage. If you look at all the site we do not offer complimentary breakfast and we have taken that off for months. We are doing this because of the rest. issues. Again We are deeply sorry that you were not happy about the Restaurant.
"Big City Comfort"
This is a very nice hotel, very safe, good location, and nice area. This was my first stay at this hotel and I will make this Best Western my hotel of choice while when I stay in Jacksonville. Everything in the room was operational, very clean, and a WOW moment when you walk in.

"Beat hotel stay!"
The rooms were clean, staff was friendly and helpful, check in and out was fast and easy, very enjoyable stay, and breakfast it may have only been a muffin, apple, and granola bar, but that's the first hotel we've stayed at that still offered us breakfast during the pandemic!

"LACK OF AMENITIES"
Was not informed at the time room was reserved that there was no breakfast and limited food for dinner. this was the main reason for choosing this hotel as in the past this was a defining issue for the stay. Passed other hotels to stay at this one.

"Good price for a relatively clean room."
Check in process was really quick and easy. Before entering the room you could hear the smoke alarm beeping in the room from the hallway. Made a call to the front desk and someone was sent to fix it quickly. Also had issues with the televsision set not functioning properly. The telvesion flickered constantly when and and also the direct tv service or whatver cable service was not working . The maintenance person tried resetting the deivce to no avail.

"Clean place-Nice staff"
We were so happy of staying at this hotel. It was clean and neat. I would like to mention about Ms.Debbie especially. She is so knowledgeable and helpful. I forgot her name but there was a lady who has rose tattoo on her arm. She was so kind as well. You can stay in such a calm and peace place.

"It's OK"
The staff were great! Sometimes a little too chatty but overall Great Service from our representatives that assisted us. Their Cleaning processes could use a little more effort and a good deep cleaning. Also just something minor but a few lights did not work

"DON'T LET THE GOOD REVIEWS FOOL YOU"
I checked in & out of this place within 2 hours! We checked in, went up to our room, & inspected it before unpacking. I've watched enough Hotel Impossible episodes to know what to look for. I peeled back the covers to one bed & the mattress cover had a huge pee stain along with pubic hairs. I checked the other bed & it was the SAME! PEE AND PUBIC HAIRS! I went downstairs and asked if we could have the mattress covers changed. I didn't get a “sorry”, “we don't have this happen often”, or anything! She said they would send someone up. We went out for lunch as we are a family of 4 with 2 small kids who drove 4hrs to stop halfway home. When we came back, my Husband checked & both beds were made but you guessed it…the same PEE AND PUBIC HAIR sheets! We checked out & with another front desk girl helping, still no “sorry” or anything. She said we could try a different room but if they didn't even change those nasty sheets, there was no telling what else we may encounter. So we took a 5 hour trek the rest of the way to NC. DONT BE FOOLED BY THE REMODELING OF THIS PLACE! I'm sure you would rather sleep on clean sheets than have a glittery countertop!

The staff as a whole is very helpful. Front desk staff, kitchen, restaurant, bar, housekeeping, etc. Just excellent service and experience as a whole. I keep coming back because of the hospitality of the Jacksonville staff. It's like home away from home. I travel ~300 days a year and I always pick BW premier first. Keep up the great work guys, you're doing it right!!! Give these folks at Jacksonville a raise!!!

"The hotel was very very nive"
One of the nicest BW I've stayed at. Way beyond my expectations. Rooms were excellent. Roomy, very clean, comfortable. We ere not scheduled to stop but we're so tired that we needed to for safety reasons.

Clean beds. Stayed for 9 days, mostly quiet. Great value. Grab n go breakfast could have been better. Beds are REALLY comfortable and clean. Pool furniture needs to be replaced. Front desk employees were EXCELLENT AND HELPFUL.
"GREAT HOTEL"
Hotel staff was extremely friendly, rooms were very clean. Our room did have an order to it but it was more the smell you get when remodeling. Did get some noise from the halls and hallway smelled of urine on the final night there

"Excellent stay, great property with attentive customer service"
i staied twice at this property in the last couple of months. It is such a nice, clean and modern facility. The rooms are great but my favorite part is the location which is only 15 minutes from downtown and I feel safe at this hotel as it is situated in a safe part of town. The best part of the stay was the customer service. I was greeted with a smile, a thank you for being a good customer and given the room I requested. Debbie checked me out and she is amazing, so genuine and attentive. I had a great stay! The breakfast unfortunately has not been reinstated and is a grab and go but does not have a lot, just an apple and a granola bar so I went to Waffle HOuse very close by.

"Quiet and Comfortable Stay"
We were please to see there was not carpet on the floors. This gave us a feeling of a clean looking room. However, we were concerned because none of the staff were wearing mask or public area did not seem to be sanitized after guest used the area

"Price too high for what you get."
No early check-in breakfast was nothing more than an old Apple a little blueberry muffin and half a granola bar. Morning staff not very friendly but after staff was great nothing around the hotel except other hotels and a Dave and buster's.

"Needs improvement"
Advertised breakfast was no existent, restaurant was closed when we arrived and had to go find somewhere else to eat. Room furniture was new but nothing else. A/C popped loudly when turned on, closet and bathroom door got stuck constantly, tub was rusted. No insulation between rooms, women in the next room were talking and laughing until past 1:30 am and I could hear every word they were saying. I have stayed at other Best Westerns that were pretty nice, but this one I will definitely stay away from.

"Sad "Breakfast""
Hotel is OK nothing special. We got up for breakfast and looked in the dining room and it was empty. Asked staff where was breakfast. She pointed to a oatmeal cookie and orange juice. This hotel seems to be hiding behind Covid to save a few bucks. Florida has been open for months. We had to go out for breakfast

"Great Nights Stay For a Low Price"
My family and I stayed 3 nights at this hotel and had a great experience. The appearance of the room for the amount I paid was very good (4/5 stars). The room was clean and the staff was nice. If I'm in the area again, I will definitely stay at this hotel again.

"Helpful staff and clean rooms"
The overall experience at this hotel was great. We were in town for a conference and the hotel was extremely busy. They made check in a breeze. The hotel room was clean and pleasantly modern and the staff was super helpful when we needed something during our stay. The beds were a little harder than I like but you can't win them all! Overall a good choice for the area.

"Best Value For The Money"
Their online presentation of wht this hotel was and what they had to offer was extremely accurate. When we arrived we got just what we expected. We had no complaints. Check in was really fast and easy. Check out was really fast and easy too. We always use a third party app to find a hotel, but we may go back to this Best Wester Premier hotel again.

"Not a Good Premier Performance"
Well it took 3 room visits to find a clean room and even that room wasn't really clean, once we moved the foot stool and saw dirty socks, but my wife and I was just too tired and too disgusted to have them attempt to find a clean room at the hotel. I know what you're thinking these a neat freaks, nope I'm not a neat freak, I simply want a clean room, and bath room. I would describe what I observed but let's just say it wasn't clean.

Worst stay ever. Man who identified himself as housekeeping manager is the rudest person I've ever met. Knocked on my door from 11am sharp, which is checkout time, until I finally answered about 11:30am. Informed him that I had a late checkout, and the rudeness began!

I love BWP...the staff are very friendly...rooms are super clean...and it's in an excellent location...the water takes about 20 minutes to get hot and the internet wasn't connecting...other than that I would definitely recommend this hotel!!!

"The hotel was beautiful and the staff was great ... it's when we got into the room is where the problem was . DIRTY!!"
The room was dirty especially around the night stands and around the bed . The amount of crumbs was unbelievable and you can see where they have shoved the filth in between the bed and the table . The tv must have been dropped at some point because the leg was broken and didn't want to turn on .

"Clean but not great"
I first made reservations months in advance. My uncle passed away and I needed to cancel Friday of the trip but still arrive Saturday-Monday. Manager refused to refund me for Friday. The breakfast they offer didn't exist. Breakfast was a pre made brown paper sack on a cart that they handed out. It includes a fruit, muffin and granola bar every morning. My room key kept failing every day. So that was a run downstairs every afternoon to have it recharged. The restaurant was empty and even when you order it took an hour to get anything. Beds are not queen size as advertised. They are full size.

"Awful customer service and experience"
My name is Payton Carver, and I recently stayed at the Best Western Jacksonville on Salisbury Rd. I stayed from May 21st-24th with three of my friends for a girl trip. We had a very scary situation where after a night out our driver and a man I met at the club had dropped us off and proceed to follow us into the hotel after we were in our room. The front desk gave out our room number and these gentlemen were banging on our door and asking to go in. When I explained to them the dangers of this situation the hotel provided me with an apology and reimbursed one night. Today, however, I get a nasty message saying we lied and they will recharge us bc the “employee said he never did that and would never lie”. So here is my proof. I messaged the gentlemen that was in the car with us this morning on Snapchat to share how him and the driver found out our info. At no point did we ever give these men our room number. The worker lied. Check your surveillance footage on May 22nd at around 3am and I'm sure it will confirm that these men were given this information by the front desk. The fact that the hospitality industry stands by the guest word and the guest being right and this hotel would victim shame us and say we lied. We NEVER lied. This story is very seriously and I will never stay at this hotel after being treated this way. You're management seriously called me deceptive just based off the employees word which is wrong. The employee is obviously lying. Here is the story and check your cameras before ever calling me a liar. I don't want a refund. I want an apology for the way we were treated and accusing us of lying with no proof when I have proof and play the surveillance cameras. As young women this is awful treatment when we were scared and had men banging on our door at 3am. These men could have had guns or anything!

"This hotel was amazing"
The best hotel I have stayed in for a lo g time . The bed was so amazing . The room felt roomy . I felt like I was at home . Would come again . The only thing that I had skittle problem with was the power of the showers . Wasn't that high pressured but it does not matter because I finally remember my dreams sleeping in this hotel. I will come back again with my family next time. Ps the Carolina gold wings are sooo good.

The hotel staff was AWESOME! The room was perfect! I would definitely recommend staying here. From your walk into the lobby the staff greets you with a smile. It's conveniently located & very well kept. The internet was a little slow but everything else made this stay amazing.

I never leave feedback for any of the hotels that I stay in; however, I am compelled to do so based on this weekends experience. The staff at this hotel was OUTSTANDING!!! Everyone was extremely friendly, and ensured that we had everything needed to make our stay enjoyable. Any and everything within their control was taken care of immediately. I travel all the time, and I host events for our MC Club in Miami, and I have never seen a more dedicated staff. Several FB friends posted the same thing on FB. This was my first stay at a Best Western and this staff made sure that it wouldn't be my last.
"Great place to relax"
It was great. WiFi was horrible and hot water was limited. Other than that staff was great and friendly. Maxine and Debby really helped me a lot. Room was clean and presentable. Pool was clean and entertaining
"Disaster!"
No Employees working, restaurant closed all weekend, pool area dirty chairs broken. Coffee machine broken downstairs breakfast was in a bag, mushy muffin, soft apple and a granola bar handed to you in a brown bag.
"Nice Hotel overall"
Nice hotel overall but don't park under the trees! (Catalpa Worms and other critters in the Spanish moss). Hotel says they have full breakfast but they don't ( Stayed for nearly three weeks for work and they never served hot breakfast once while I was there)

Very surprising you guys was not servicing breakfast at your location.. Reason my family stays here is for the comfort of the rooms and most importantly your breakfast. I LOVE you guy breakfast. Maybe in the future breakfast can be served to each guest because of COVID-19. Overall my stay was wonderful. Great team everyone great job!!

"looking to relocate to jacksonville"
This is my second time visiting this property. The check in process was very quick and the rooms were very clean upon arrival. Debbie at the front desk was extremely welcoming and extremely nice. She wanted to make sure that I enjoyed my stay. The only thing that was a problem was, during my stay I couldn't connect to the internet at all.

"Nice resort "
My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for seven days, February into March. The hotel was very clean. They had hand sanitizer throughout the hotel. They did enforce masks upon entering, but many guests that we saw did not have masks on. The ice machine was not working on our floor. We had to go down three flights for a working one. The shower in the room was hanging from the wall a little but and the pressure was not great. Housekeeping service was available in our hallway every day to receive new towels, take out trash. Our housekeeper Debbie was amazing! Our room was large, had a microwave and a small fridge which was excellent because we were there for seven days. The room had hardwood floors, which I prefer instead of carpet. The pool area was nice. Plenty of lounge chairs and tables to sit at. Nila's, the bar/restaurant was great. The Bartender was very attentive and the food & drinks were delicious. We did have breakfast daily at the hotel. Due to Covid there was no hot breakfast, so you received a bagged breakfast each morning which consisted of fruit, a muffin and a granola bar.It was our first time staying in the Jacksonville area, the hotel was convenient to everything. I would definitely recommend this hotel to future travelers.

"Nice place close to everything"
The hotel was the perfect location because it was 10mins away from everything we planned for the weekend. My kids enjoyed themselves for the most part. The hotel was nice and clean, just wished we could've enjoyed the pool.

Hotel was adequate for price paid. Towels were dirty and had hair on them upon arrival. Were replaced with clean ones. Lots of noise and strong odor of marijuana. Otherwise, no problems. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Headed home from Orlando snd stopped over. Great staff, super friendly and helpful. The lady who checked us in was truly dedicated she was there at 9pm and back at 7am to check out us out. Room was very nice and clean. Definitely recommend this place.

"Amazing for Business and Family"
First, Debbie in the morning is amazing. We come in in the morning and she is super helpful. This is our second stay and she remembered us and the kids and our truck troubles. Pricing is super fair for those of us traveling for work. We do some work in Jacksonville and after an absolute nightmare at another hotel in the same price range ending in an er visit, we landed here. Super clean. The staff is very friendly. My husband recommends anyone that comes up here to go there. We have family in St. Augustine and we extended our first trip and brought our kids up for an impromptu mini vacation because of the quality and pricing. And the Dave & Busters nearby is just an added bonus! Also, the bartender in the restaurant downstairs is a sarcastic delight! Loved watching him interact with the customers.

"Fair hotel"
Located in an area we felt safe in,A bit dated in the rooms,but clean.pool outdoors pretty but not heated,so unable to use.the bag breakfast was poor apple ,apple muffin and a granola bar.no other options. I had a wonderful Stay. Greeting upon arrival from the staff was exceptional. Check-in was a breeze. Had a quiet, peaceful and relaxing stay. Definitely would recommend this Hotel. Improvements do need to be made with the cleanliness of the rooms. Bathroom toilet was not scrub and floors were not swept and mop. Dressers need and headboard also needs to be sanitize.

"EXCELLENT HOTEL!"
The Best Western Premier hotel was extremely clean. The location was perfect. The rooms are nice and spacious with beautiful decor. The pool area was very clean and well kept. The hotel was quiet. I like that a laundromat was available for use. Employees were extremely helpful, courteous and Professional. The CDC Guidelines were being followed by both employees and guests.

"Moving to another hotel"
We stay an average of 3 months in hotels. We have never experienced a hotel staff member to be so rude and obnoxious that we will no longer stay at this hotel and have moved out of the Best Western chain. Not only was the bartender there very rude, he complained about the hotel, staff, guests and his crappy life there. He engaged other customers and us into combative conversation and he used profound language. He was critical to others who forgot masks and told them to leave while he had his mask dropped down to his chin. Other staff members were cordial and considerate. His actions have affected our future stays not only at this location but all future locations of Best Western and any of there chains. We are Marriott Bonvoy Premium Elite patrons and BW matched our status. We are going back to Marriott.

"little things add up"
The rate was high for the condition of things. Could have paid much less for equal benefit. Water in shower needs pressure. Coffee maker didn't work but one was not sent after reporting. Bag breakfast should have been deleted and discount room. Internet would not stay connected.

The reason for the breakfast grab and go is due to the COVID-19. We too would love to have our buffet back. We actually do not have to have breakfast here at our hotel but just want to give a gesture to people. This does not factor in the price of the room for it is complimentary. We would love for you to give us another try in the future to make it right.

This was a last minute reservation. I was checked in and given a room key within less than 5 minutes. I'm already booked again for next month. The location wasn't too far from the Mayo Clinic. It's also in a safe location.

"Good choice during COVID"
The room was clean, everyone was wearing masks. Everything looked clean in the room. I was traveling with a baby and teenager and during this time of COVID I felt safe with this hotel. I would stay here again. This room is 20 min from Jacksonville Beach if you're looking for a nice option.

"Nice hotel great location"
Hotel is nice and clean I stay here quite a bit because Dave and Buster's is right across the street. The rooms are real clean with a nice big screen TV. And the staff is always friendly and very helpful

"Best Choice I Could Have Ever Made!"
First reservation done on Priceline for one night. I had other arrangements that fell through so I was just looking for one night. I have a service dog that accompanies me everywhere I go. The hotel made me feel very welcome and also placed me in a handicap room. I knew that first night that I would just make Best Western Premier my only stay while in Jacksonville which turned out to be a total of 8 nights. On the 6th night the A/C fan motor in my room burned up. At 4:00am, I had to change rooms which went very smoothly. They also made sure I was compensated for my inconvenience. Debbie at the front desk was awesome and made the stay feel like home. Her smile every morning and great personality was priceless. Hotel Manager Regina Morgan was also very accommodating and made my stay superb. I would recommend this location to anyone and I will be back myself.

"Horrible rooms"
The service was ok. But the rooms were garbage. We had to be moved to 3 different rooms. The sinks were stopped up in the bathroom and the air wasn't working in the rooms plus the air wasn't working in the hall. It was a terrible stay and I wouldn't be visiting anymore.

"worst hotel ever"
no room service for 12 days we spent there the tub clogged up when we got there the sink and bathroom was dirty, no breakfast and if you asked for your sheets to be changed they just threw you your sheets and towels and you had to take the trash out and ask for coffee and cups because if not nothing was provided for. mold on the walls in the bathroom also

We are deeply sorry, due to the covid-19 we are not allowed to give service but they should have told you a few of the days we can go in as long as you were not in the room and service it. All the hotels are mandatory for this. We ask the guest to place the trash outside the room and we will pick it up. I hope when this is all over you will give us another chance to show our great hospitality.
"Worst hotel we've ever stayed at"
This hotel has decent reviews, i figured id just book it, it was cheap and convenient. Holy crap, maybe this was just my experience and we were just unlucky but this was THE worst hotel we've ever stayed at. I swear we were not just being pain in the butts. We arrived at the hotel, around check in time. We got checked in quickly and went into our room on the fourth floor. The room thermostat read 75 degrees, but we had to leave, so i lowered it to 70 and we came back to the room 5 hours later, and it was still at 75. I called the front desk and asked for it to be checked because at this point it was late and we wanted to go to bed. A few minutes later a maintenance worker came and checked it and said this room gets hot and it might take a while to cool down, but he said hed make sure we got a new room so we didnt have to wait. Que the second room. We walk in and immediately get smacked in the face with the smell of cigarettes. We call down to the front desk again, and they send us to another room. Que the third room. We walk in and there is a huge puddle of water on the floor from the fridge. We call down again and they send us to another room. At this point were thinking this is a joke. Que the fourth room, smells fine, temperature is so so, so we immediately turn the thermostat down. And as we head in to shower, we turn it on, and try to unplug the drain and the whole drain head pops off and as the shower is filling the tub, its not draining. The tub is filling up and foaming and leaving a brown foaming residue. So disgusting. Not to mention the huge spots of black mold and mildew all around the shower heads. The bathroom had white marks sprayed all over the vanity. And the cherry on the cake was the big fingernail we found on the floor near the bed. Will never stay at a best western again, so dissatisfied.

"nice hotel"
located on a road with many other hotels. Building and grounds were clean as was the lobby area. hallway to room was like new. our room was clean and comfortable with frig, microwave, coffee maker. Breakfast was very good. Outdoor pool not useable on stormy days. could use more treadmills in workout room. this is a very large hotel. We would stay here again if in area.

"Dirty room / poor customer service"
Was not happy with my stay here. The toilet was clearly not cleaned (feces in the crack of the toilet seat and when you lifted the seat). The shower was disgusting and the water kept plugging up and not draining. Dried toothpaste on the facet. I also woke up one morning to a overwhelming Marijuana smell coming from the vents. I called the front desk and they said there was no other available rooms but would send housekeeping up. Housekeeping never showed and I never heard back from the front desk. My daughter has asthma and started to have an asthma attack from the overwhelming smell. We left the room and went down to breakfast and when we came back it was even worse. I went down to the front desk and they again did nothing about it. We ended up having to leave that day because my daughter could not breathe in that room.

"Nice Place to Stay"
The cost was $109 per night. It was a nice place to stay with clean room and a great hotel breakfast. The Breakfast is in the hotel charge and sometimes these can be a little light. Not here...a full breakfast with eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy and a lot more.

"Nothing Premier about This Property"
This hotel felt very dirty. It had a foul odor in the lobby area as well as a pervasive foul odor in our room the entire time. Our first room assignment had a filthy bathtub, and when I reported it as soon as we checked in, to their credit, they moved us immediately. The second room had a cleaner bathtub, but there was mildew all over the grout on the shower wall tiles. There was no carpet in our room, and the floors were sticky and felt dirty; there was a weird plastic clip on the mattress pad that had a dark yellowish brown stain spreading out from it; the laminate flooring was separating in several places. The noise between rooms and coming from the hallways was very noticeable. We stayed in room 527; we could clearly hear a conversation coming from room 529; we were awakened from a dead sleep between 11 pm and midnight when our headboard and wall sconce lights were literally vibrating from what seemed to be kids jumping on the bed in room 525. Breakfast was adequate, but not impressive. I wouldn't consider this a "premier" hotel by any stretch. It's an older property that's been renovated, but sometimes you just can't put lipstick on a pig and make it better. We've stayed in much nicer properties for the nightly rate we paid. The nicest thing I can say about this property is that the employees were friendly and helpful. After checking in and scratching our heads over the “great” online reviews we read before booking, we saw that this was a former Red Lion Inn. The only way, in my opinion, to make any hotel that was once a Red Lion Inn into a premier property, would be to burn it down and start over.

Fully satisfied with my overall stay in general. Dave and Buster's literally across the street. That was very convenient when it was rainy or cold. Beaches are less than 30 minutes. Would be returning with the family!

Nice hotel rooms were very comfortable and clean. Bed was good with excellent lighting. Used to be the Radisson and very good upgrade from it. I would stay there agin for sure and cook to order breakfast.
"Amazing Staff, Great Room, Fast Wi-Fi, Free Breakfast (with Waffles)"
I was here for two weeks travelling for business. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and QUICK when I checked it. My room was large, with a comfortable king sized bed, and plenty of pillows. The room, linens, towels and everything else was immaculate. Housekeeping is quick and made sure I had more shampoo, soap and sundries before I knew I needed them. They cleaned up, but also made sure never to disturb my ever-growing pile of receipts. There are a good amount of drawers, a mini fridge, microwave, comfortable easy chair with a reading light, desk with plenty of space to work and a huge TV. There was a separate device that offered 4 or 5 different ways to hook my phone or laptop directly to it to watch my own Netflix/Hulu/etc, so I wound up not watching much on the Direct TV offered. (One minor bad point, but it's with DTV overall - about 20% of the channels were various shopping networks.) The hotel staff is amazing, and honestly needs a raise. After two weeks, you see the same faces and get to know them. There were a few days where the person at the front desk I saw coming in at 10pm was also at the desk at 10 the next morning.
"Lovely property"
Best Western Premier Jacksonville was wonderful, an in the perfect location for my business travels. The on-site restaurant and lounge was great! From check in to check out, the experience was great. I will definitely be back.
"Horrible....Just Horrible"
We stayed one evening over at this hotel on a long car trip. The first clue of trouble were the numerous security cameras mounted on the roof watching the parking lot. Should have left then. Anyway, we were given a nice sized room but the tub was dirty and shower curtain was torn and had not been replaced. The vanity lights were also partially out and not replaced. Just shabby. Some elderly, drunken woman in the lobby kept approaching me and asking me questions about her room location as if I worked there. I had to tell her 3 times I was NOT a hotel employee. You can't make this stuff up!! At breakfast, I was told I was not allowed to carry a plate of food from the dining room to my room because they were experiencing theft of the plates by patrons! They did not offer to give me a paper plate and I did not want to eat in the filthy dining area so I went without food. If the plates are not safe, I am SURE my expensive luggage is not safe in the lobby either!! Despite this there was presence of any security personnel. In sum, the place is a zero and I advise others to pick somewhere that does not cater to plate thieves! I ONLY give this 1 star because I cannot give zero stars. We will never go back.
"Excellent Hotel"
Excellent hotel. Employees were friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and professional. Hotel was extremely clean and well kept with nice decor. The rooms were spacious with nice decor and furniture. The bed was super comfortable. There was a microwave and refrigerator in each room which is always a plus. Plenty of closet space which contained a safe for valuables. The outdoor pool was clean and well kept. The included breakfast was sufficient. Great location with plenty of free parking.

The hotel exceeded my expectations. I booked through Best Western and received a fair price for our rooms. Most of the staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and roomy. If needed we would use this hotel again.

There was a horrible smell in the room that lingered the whole visit. Was told hotel was booked so we couldnt switch rooms . Will not be booking this hotel again. Customer service was below the standards I expected .

"Missing bed sheets"
One of our beds was missing a fitted sheet while the other bed was missing the top sheet. In the other room both beds had complete bedding. It was late and I was tired so I didn't request more sheets.

What can I say? I am a Best Western Rewards member. This location was just perfect. The service was wonderful. Dina was amazing! I got a gift bag, a room in the top floor with a wonderful view. The beds were very comfortable. The room was very comfortable. The buffet at the restaurant, Nila was outstanding. Hot food every morning complete with eggs, bacon, sausage, and home fried potatoes. Delicious!! If I could give this hotel 7 stars; I certainly would!!! Yes, when I'm back in Jacksonville. I WILL be coming back here again; without a doubt!!

"It's nice looking, BUT....."
Floor is very sticky, and not clean accoring to my socks. Housekeeping staff tokd me she was NOT coming back to ckean my room, even though she was on my floor, and only a few doors down. Breakfast is NOT allowed to be taken out of eating area. Meaning you can not take the breakfast upstairs. Which probably contributed to 70% of mt complaints for the stay.

1st stay a Best Western Premier. Rec'd a great rate for the Thanksgiving holiday. Very clean, staff was courteous and helpful in all areas of the hotel! Breakfast & breakfast staff EXCELLENT! Only negative was the wifi Internet kept having to be reset by maintenance staff. They have ATT with direct tv. I got rid of it in my home due to same issues.When it was working it had very strong signal.

"Dirty rooms and friendly staff"
I would not stay here again. The floors were dirty in my room and my room key would not work for several days (same problem in much of hotel). Guests who left their room had to wait in line at the front desk to be escorted to their room by hotel staff with a master key. No id was asked for from me, just a room number. Hmmm

"Very relaxing"
This is my first stay at a Best Western Premier and a regular Best Western will no longer do. The rooms are clean with modern amenities and the rate is affordable. Our room came equipped with a Keurig, a huge flat-screen TV, and a very soft mattress. It was a lovely stay.

"Nice room, lacking in customer service"
Beds were very comfortable. Chair was broken, and room temperature wouldn't go down past 73. When I spoke with the front desk they advised me that the rooms simply don't get cooler than that. If I had known this, I would have stayed elsewhere. was unable to rest due to the temperature. And they never replaced the broken chair in the room.

Hello Jennifferjean: We do apologize for the Air conditioning not being what you expected. Our hotel does not have the below window units, we have a water cooled chiller that maintains the entire building and much like a centralized unit it has a thermostat in each room. However the units are set for a low of 72 degrees and heat has a high of 80 degrees. I will use your comments about the chair being broken and the staff replacing it in a training atmosphere. There is no excuse for them not doing so and I am very sorry. This is not what is expected and I do apologize. We value you and all of our guests and we dropped the ball. Please accept our apologies. "Awesome hotel, worth every penny"
Hotel was amazing, staff is very friendly, rooms are big and have amazing beds. TV was big and had lots of channels. Bar was amazing with nightly specials. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying near this area.

"Very nice."
We stayed in a suite which was huge! They had taken two regular hotel rooms and made a suite out of them which is larger than most one bedroom apartments. If it had a full kitchen you could call it an apartment. The staff was very friendly, the breakfast buffet was decent. We would stay here again.

"Great upgrade from previous 2 owners!"
This hotel is a former Red Lion (HORRIBLE!), which was a former Radisson. I like the BW brand, especially the upgrade branches of the brand like the Premier. They did a great job renovating and remodeling this hotel. I have stayed in this hotel when it was Red Lion and it was bad! It was a busy football weekend and the front desk did a great job of getting us checked in. Breakfast is a full hot buffet, excellent! The poolside and patio area is great and relaxing. Rooms were great as well. Make sure you check the toilets though, pressure is a little low and may cause a problem.

"Mediocre Service"
I am a platinum member and stay at Best Western at least once a month. This facility probably has the poorest service of all. I was never greeted by the front desk.. even when they had no customer in front of them. There were no luggage carts and I was told I would have to wait for one.. the person knowing very well the carts were sitting empty on various floors. I conveyed that point and the host said I was welcome to go find one. I did. Nila, the hotel's restaurant.. disastrous. We were weary from a whole day of travel and chose to eat “in” the first night of our five night stay. The waitress could not answer any of my questions about the menu. After ordering our appetizers and an entree to share, a full hour passed. I saw our entree placed under the hot light and another waiter picked up the plate and started moving toward our table. He turned around after realizing we had not yet received our appetizers, but placed the entree back under the light while waiting for the appetizers. Not acceptable when you're paying $30/head for dinner. Another waiter.. wearing an untucked & oversized uniformed polo that came to his knees.. delivered entrees to a table over the banister, forcing the patron to stand and take their food from the waiter. We ended up turning down the entree.. as we wanted it fresh. They offered to remake the dish, but we did not want to wait any longer. Not only was there no compensation.. we were billed more for one of the appetizers than the menu price. The waitress made no effort to correct it. The only positive from this experience which kept this from being a one-star rating.. the wings were some of the best we've ever had. The mango sauce was delicious and the wings were cooked perfectly with crisp edges and a tender center. We are in Jacksonville fifteen days a year. It is not likely we will stay at this establishment, again. We stayed six months prior and ate at Nila during that stay as well. I did not review because I try to give every place two shots before giving a negative review. Almost the same experience both times. First time at Nila, we were the only table and waited an hour for undercooked food. Do better Jacksonville! It's a beautiful hotel. Fill it with beautiful people.

"Unprofessional"
Young black male sat at the desk all weekend. He checked me in Friday sitting on his behind. Every time I walk past the desk he was sitting. The ladies at the desk wasn't sitting down not once. Then he was sitting and on the phone the whole dang time. I didn't see him get up and greet one guest. I guess the standard of this hotel is very low. Disappointed in the management and stuffing there. Who sits at the front desk! Will not be back. Very unprofessional! And will pass along to other team members

"Great Hotel"
Best Western has never disappointed us. The facilities are clean and updated, the staff are always great. The location of the hotel was just off of the freeway and which made finding it easy and the ability to get back on in the morning simple. Even though it was by the freeway, it was very quite. As a Best Western member, we have found the 800 number to be very helpful.

"Premium Premier"
This was a last second decision but it proved to be a good one. I don't know when I will be back this way but would gladly stay again. The hotel staff were friendly, the room nicely designed and furnished and the beds extremely comfortable. The hotel left little to be desired as it certainly seemed to have it all. The breakfast was a notch up from what is often served in these types of venues. It was clean and well cared for.

"Excellent value"
I found this hotel room to be comfortable, clean, modern, and cleverly decorated. I was in Jacksonville for a one night stay to bring my granddaughter to a conference. The hotel was an especially good financial value while not sacrificing any comfort or lack of amenities. I highly recommend this hotel!!

We were pleasantly surprised by this Best Western. Grew up in era of BW being OK at best. We selected hotel due to evacuation for a hurricane. Wasn't expecting much but turned out to be wonderful experience. Modern rooms, clean, friendly staff, breakfast included, etc.

"Lazy Unconcerned Staff"
We stayed here August 25, 2019... first time at premier so we thought it would be pure heaven. Walked in and say streaks in the toilet. When taking a shower we discovered there was only one wash cloth. Looked in shower, used wash cloth hanging on shower curtain bar. Open door to locate maids. Found them and they refused to give us bath cloth. After practically begging one of them gave us 1 cloth. We tried to call front desk but phone was not working, got them on our cell phone. "Wonderful And caring Staff!"
My Girlfriend and I flew from California to Florida to help a family member who was terminally ill. We had booked an Air BNB for 12 days. Upon arrival the Air BnB turned out to be uninhabitable (within 15 minutes of being there we found multiple roaches IMO get other issues). It was around 3am local time when we met Angela at the front desk and she checked us in with a great rate and did all she could to make sure we were comfortable. For the remaining 11 days of our stay through all that we had to deal with in the loss of our family member the entire staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly, caring and professional. No matter your reason for visiting Jacksonville I'd recommend staying here anytime. Truly wonderful people and the hotel itself is very nice and very comfortable. Great breakfast and dinner restaurant as well!

"I would have given it 5 stars except for Kim and checkout and no printer"
When we arrived in Jacksonville it was about 11:30 but I called anyway to see if our room was ready. No I was told but I asked if I could come by anyway and change and was told ok. When we arrived we were greeted by Michelle and she said they had a full house the night before so my room wasn't ready. We used the public restroom to change and Michelle asked me to call about 1:30 to see if the room was ready. Everything she and I spoke about, Kim had a opinion about. We had a horrible winter, she's seen worse. Michelle gave us directions to the beach and said it shouldn't be crowded for a Thursday and Kim it would be. Get the picture? Anyway we went to the beach and called about 2:00 and Michelle said our room was ready. We got there about 40 minutes later and Kim told us our room was not ready. I asked to speak to Michelle and Kim said she was gone for the day. Kim told me she never should have told me it was ready in the first place. So she checked around and said she found me a room. Anyhow, the room was clean and everything worked. When I saw Michelle two days later and told her what happened she said that was not true because there were 20 rooms available when I called! The hotel has a bar/restaurant. We only ate breakfast there ( typical BW fare) but we did sit at the bar in the evenings which was better than drinking out somewhere and then driving back. We met Matt and Brian, who like Michelle was awesome. They were very pleasant and gave us tips on what to visit in the area. They were very personably and we enjoyed their company. We did opt of housekeeping one day so we could get the extra 500 a night bonus points that was offered but they were not added to my rewards. As someone who is in the platinum level working on my diamond status, my points are important to me. The day before we left we had to check in for our flight. We found the business center but can you believe that they do not have a printer in there! When I asked at the desk I was told I had to email to them and then they could print it out. Since that didn't work, I ended up logging into their computer so it could get a copy printed of my boarding pass. My only complaint was check out. Yes I know it was 330 am but the lady said she couldn't print a receipt for me and said she would email it me. I still haven't received it! The hotel was nice overall but without Michele, Matt and Brian I would have focus on the hiccups Oh yeah, some of the other guests were quite loud especially late at night

"Bes' keep lookin'"
Upon arrival, I have to say that I was impressed by the exterior appearance of the hotel and grounds but something told me that this property was at one time, a different hotel and that Best Western was trying to be something different than the norm. Well...I was hoping I was wrong, but that was not the case. The front desk Receptionist - Kim, was very pleasant and professional and made sure that anything and everything was going to be to our liking and if not - I was to give her a call (the welcome bag of goodies was a treat...thank you Kim). Kim was the highlight of our stay! Our request for a room away from vending machines and elevator doors was granted but the "fun" of having other guests arriving started around 9:00pm. At that hour - we would normally still be up but having started our day at 4:00am got the best of us so it was lights out...sort of. And so begins - the slamming of the doors and the very vocal talking/yelling back and forth in the hallway (seems to happen everywhere, doesn't it?) After 30 minutes of that disregard (disregard is a more proper word than what I really want to say) for other guests, my wife got up from bed, opened our door and yelled herself - "will you people shut up!!" And guess what - it worked! My wife also placed a call to the front desk and explained the hallway noise - not sure if anything downstairs rectified the scene upstairs but, for what it's worth after that - we managed to sleep pretty well on their firm bed. There was, what appeared to be a room disturbance/argument taking place down the hall (couldn't tell you what hour of that night that was) but that disagreement which spilled into the hallway fizzled-out quickly. We headed downstairs around 8am for breakfast (buffet). Let's just say - their breakfast is nothing special - typical pan of fake eggs, over-baked potatoes, fatty bacon and hockey puck sausage patties along with little poppyseed muffins, yogurt cups, bagels, fresh fruit, waffle machine, etc, etc, etc...get the picture? Woo-pee!! Sorry Best Western - I have been to many BW properties around the country and for a hotel that calls itself "Premier" - I simply did not see it here and will look elsewhere the next time I am in the Jacksonville area.

"It was okay"
We had to change rooms because our first smelt like wet mold and it was dirty with shoe prints everywhere and handprints on the bed frame and a smeared mirror. Dirty overall. Our second room was clean but just very damp air. Then found out our shower or sink wasn't draining. It was frustrating. Staff and location of the hotel was great though.

"Very nice hotel"
Spaces are clean and bright. Remodelling work did great for the building, AC is effective and quiet. Room noise insulation is excellent. Cheerful staff and prompt service. Free breakfast is very well-appointed, with wide choice of food, better than at other hotels that offer free breakfast.

"Nice hotel"
This property is nice. But tubs had rust in them. Had to guve my 1 year old a shower. They need to update them . Breakfast was great and they have a very nice lounge/bar. Very happy with the best western.

"Exceptional service"
Shay, the manager, and Michelle were great! Michelle was very friendly and gave me all the information I asked about over the phone before our arrival. And after we arrived, they handled our problem quickly, making the rest of our stay very comfortable. Their customer service is exceptional! And the interior decor and exterior landscape of this hotel is gorgeous!

"Best Hotel Ever."

"BW Stay"
My husband and I have stayed at lots of hotels and the Best Western is the best. From numbers 1-10 we rate 10 in every area from rooms, staff, and breakfast. Our stay was just like home if not better. The beds and pillows was soft fresh clean and comfortable. The breakfast was hot good and a variety of everything. The staff was friendly, approachable, and helpful. Other guest was expressing their appreciation to other guest as well. I will refer family and friends to any Best Western Hotels. I will return next year.

My experience was a lot of fun and much laughter with the staff! When you have a great line of employees, you will have a really good experience, because they will see to it that you do. It was peaceful, and parking is pretty good as well. The breakfast and restaurant was very nice also. The majority of the staff was so kind and that includes: Shaila, Angela, Michelle, Kim- front desk clerks. Samantha, front desk Supervisor, Lynette, Assistant G.M. Eric, Server. Housekeepers, Shar, Ebony provided excellent services to my family to ensure that we had a clean room. Thank you ladies. "Good place for a nights rest"
Stayed here while son was attending MEPS. Would stay here again if I was in the area. Not much within walking distance; however, there is a multitude of things to do and places to go if you want re willing to drive.

"Dirty"
Was really disgusted with the whole experience. The air conditioner was horribly noisy and kept me awake all night. For the name brand, sorely disappointed. Will never stay again or recommend. Sad sad sad.

"Great option close to UNF"
We came to Jacksonville for our daughter orientation at UNF and a Volleyball tournament for our son, this hotel is right out of I-95 and is within 10-15 mins range from each. Staff is very professional, attentive and welcoming. Rooms are in very good shape, no signs of wear in most of the furniture. Breakfast provided is good, pretty much standard for similar hotels. The coffee I would say is the best from any other hotel chains. General grounds around the hotel are well kept, it has a pool we did not use but was very nice. Would recommend and use for future visits to UNF in the future.

Hotel very clean and modern . Hotel has excellent happy hour specials which was great to see. One of the nice things able this location is it is walking distance to Dave and Buster's which was fun for the whole family. Rooms are very nice and huge TV in the room.

"Jacksonville for the weekend"
Staff was awesome. Breakfast was good! Kids enjoyed pool. Bed was better than most hotels! Great stay for an overnight. It's so close to D&B we walked there for dinner! Close to major road as well! Easily got to beach and IKEA and shopping!!

"Try another hotel along the road"
So you must be thinking 3/5 stars isn't totally bad... and that's exactly what my husband and I thought of this hotel. Location: we were here for a wedding so didn't venture out and can't comment on location in regards to the beach etc... but their is a Dave & Busters across the street which if you have a family is a bonus. Their wasn't a waking distance restaurant or store to buy essentials like water etc so you will need a car, use Uber, or rent a taxi Amenities: Clean and modern room but our AC wound just not keep the room cool and it always felt musty which is a pretty gross feeling since outside of the hotel is hot and humid with an added bonus of extra moisture. The shower sometimes took a while to get hot in the afternoon which we found strange mid day. Theirs a safe. Ironing board. TV w clear channels. The included breakfast downstairs isn't bad but definitely NOT continental style. The pool is nice to keep cool but no view and basic. Service: this is where two almost 3 stars fell off. Front desk upon check in was not friendly nor rude. Just someone that did their job and appeared to hate it. We requested towels AFTER our room had been serviced since they didn't replenish it correctly no one EVER cane after two separate phone calls. In addition, we came back and they “serviced” our room let me just say 1) I don't think they even swept 2) they never straightened out the sheets just placed the comforter back over the bed —- see our included picture 3) did I mention they never replenished the towels. We were pretty disappointed and disgusted after thinking they truly don't clean this place. Save yourself some time and disappointment and look elsewhere on the street since their are probably better options.

"Horrible experience!"
When we checked in we were given zero info, The lady at the desk had zero personality and acted as though we were a bother. It was 2 AM so we thought she was tired and went to find where the elevators were located and figure out where we should park since she ws no help with any of that. The next morning we called the front desk to ask about when breakfast was being served and Ashley gave us the info and was pretty nice but we had to call back to ask about the guest password for WiFi and she was obviously annoyed. Guess she didn't realize none of that info was in the room or had been given to us when we checked in. The room had a broken phone you could only use as a speaker phone. That was aggravating. We had one caffeinated coffee in the room and three decafs for 4 people. Not a good start to the day. We went down to breakfast and there were no coffee cups down there. They ran out of silverware. The serving area was chaotic and the tables were dirty and sticky with syrup. Some staff spoke no English so they couldn't understand what we needed. We left for the day and returned around 9 PM. Our room key wouldn't unlock the door so we went down to the lobby to get another one. When we entered our room there had been no services at all. No clean towels. No coffee for the next morning. NOTHING had been done. We called the front desk and got the lady who fixed our key. She was very nice and accommodating and even refunded one night's stay. If we hadn't met her it would have been a lost cause! This morning we went down for breakfast and again no coffee cups. Two forks were available and it was utter chaos again! Sorry to go on and on but I'll bet I have left something out. There was a lot to be unhappy about. Like I said the second shift front desk lady was awesome! If all their staff were like her we would have been thrilled. The beds were comfortable but the second night it was so loud it didn't matter. Sometime after 2 AM it got quiet and the party people quit slamming their doors so we got a couple hours sleep. Glad to be checked out and headed to our next destination. NEVER will we stay at Best Western again!

"Above Average : A Fine Place To Chill "
Nice room with microwave, really fine flat screen TV. Refrigerator with small freezer. And the king bed was excellent, with lower perimeter ambient lighting, a feature I've never seen before. Very cool with practical as well as artistic implications. Lots of charging receptacles. There were two comfortable chairs. One was a high quality, nicely padded, high back office chair, the other was very nice upholstered occasional chair. Nice bathroom. The one problem with the bathroom was the tub did not drain properly. So you were left with standing water in the tub the whole time you showered. Didn't do breakfast here, but I'm told it's very good. All in all a fine room and a nice place to chill.

"Annual Training"
Check-in and check-out was quick and uncomplicated. The breakfast was very filling. And the lights under the bed was totally cool. Conference room was spacious for the training needs. The only negative was my room was on the "interstate" side and the continuous noise of the cars during the night made it hard for me to get unbroken hours of sleep. I live in a rural area so the "city" sounds were very noticeable to me.

"Beautiful & conveniently located"
Being Best Western Gold Rewards members we always stayer BW hotels. Last March through June we did an almost 8,000 mi. cross country trip & stayed at BW exclusively. We only had one bad experience since we have been using BW. Their motels are conveniently located, attractive, comfortable & clean. Not to mention their appreciated & delicios complimentary breakfasts. Being seasoned travelers at age 78, we plan on continuing to use BW for as long as we are able to travel!

"Staying on business or pleasure JAX BW Premier should be your choice"
I typical travel to JAX for business at least once a year and I've stayed at numerous hotels to try them out, but I always come back to Premier suits my needs. I traveled for 6 days to BW Premier a week ago and the service was incredible. The hotel has a modern theme throughout with tile floors in the lobby and rooms. There's no carpet in the rooms, which is a plus for me. The hotel is conveniently located of Butler Blvd (202), with a Dave and Busters directly across the street and access to JAX Beach in about 15 minutes. They served a variety of breakfast items daily, not just your typical eggs, bacon and toast. They have a restaurant and full bar, my favorite place. Michael was nightly bartender and he was very attentive and remember my drink of choice whenever I arrived. The only con, is I prefer to stay in the last room opposite the elevator, so I'm not disturbed, but the last room also had the loudest air condition unit. I'm sure had I asked I would have been moved, but I didn't mentioned this to the hotel. My husband accompanied me on my trip and brought his 19 foot bass boat, parking was accommodating for this boat and he actually found an outlet for electricity.

"Business trip"
Stayed a week on business trip. Room was very nice and hotel was clean and modern. Good breakfast, coffee machine wasn't the greatest. My card key was programmed incorrectly making it very frustrating to go all the way up to my room carrying multiple things then have to turn around and go back to the lobby.

"Excellent Customer Service & Amenities"
My daughter was one of the students in a welding competition at Tulsa College and her welding instructor booked several rooms ahead of time for the students. We drove from Birmingham AL and when I walked into the busy lobby of the BWP and said "My name is Sarah Jackson and..." the woman at the front desk smiled and said, "You are with LeCroy and your room is #216" The staff asked us if we needed help getting to our room and offered to help us load the luggage cart. Our room was dramatic - we entered to find a dark room illuminate by beds that appeared to be hovering because of the light glowing underneath! The hardwood floors were nice and the mattresses were super comfy. Everything was clean. The TV remote was sterilized and in a bag. The breakfast bar was amazing - a large choice of hot foods and a make your own waffle bar. The coffee was ok. The staff were friendly and truly ready to help with anything. I would stay here again.

"Great hotel"
The hotel was very clean. The bed was extremely comfortable. They offered a free full breakfast with a wide variety of food. The staff was friendly and helpful. We will definitely be staying here again the next time we come to Jacksonville.

"What we needed"
This hotel was what we needed: clean and comfortable. We were driving long distance and needed a rest after midnight. I chose best western because they had the best reward points for my travel credit card, and it was comparably priced to other hotels. The check in was fast, beds were comfortable. There was a lady in a skirt on a cell phone at the edge of the driveway... at 1:30 in the morning in 60 degree weather... pretty sure she was working. But despite that, the area wasn't sketchy. It's in a complex of various hotels like Marriott, etc.

"Great hotel!"
We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The room was clean - the remote even came in a sterilized bag. It was well decorated and the pool was nice. The staff were also very helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

"Night before cruise"
Very nice room. Good breakfast. Very good value. Would recommend for sure. Was a little tough to get to the waffle maker but no big deal. We only stayed one night but overall it was a good experience.

Our stay was comfortable, the hotel has been newly re-modeled, except for the tubs which they left the same, the staff was very helpful, the breakfast was good, go early, a lot of people, some pretty long lines.we would stay again...

"Fancy, quiet, and close to freeway"
This was a very nice, clean, quiet, and relaxing hotel to stay at. We were only there one night, but we found it was perfect for our one night stay. The morning breakfast was great. Lots of variety in both healthy and yummy options. The staff is very helpful and friendly.

"Best Sest Western I have ever stayed at"
We stayed here on a journey through Florida. Hotel was absolutely delightful and looked and felt like brand new. I thought I was at a high level luxury hotel. Staff was super friendly and helpful and breakfast was first class with freshly made hot items. Will definitely stay here again and look for other Best Western Premiere properties. Excellent value for the money.

"Wow!"
These hotel rooms are gorgeous! The staff is awesome and the location is great (right across the street from Dave and Busters). The breakfast they offer is delicious (waffles, eggs, bacon, etc.). I was pleasantly surprised with the size of the TV. My wife and I were able to Netflix and chill using our Firestick. Overall, a great place to stay for the price you pay.

"Disappointed"
The check in process was painfully slow. The room decor felt like a bad redo. The bath tub did not drain and the sink was slow to drain and I ran out of shampoo. The eggs at breakfast were cold. And I am now having trouble submitting this review. It needs to be at least 200 characters.

"A MUST STAY!!!!!"
From the time i checked in to the time I checked out, it was a very pleasant, friendly, & very clean enviroment! The room was very clean & the staff were very nice and welcoming, ALL OF THEM! It is defintiely one of the BEST hotels there are in Jacksonville! I highly recommend it & would be glad to stay there again anytime!!!!

"Awesome"
A great stay and not very expensive. 5 Star quality at 3 Star Prices. Warm and Welcoming, Family/Friendly. For the Hotel to be a military prep hotel it was very family friendly and well maintained, the outside pool and fire features are very nice.

"Great hotel"
We stayed here for the night with our son who is a Recruit for the Marines and this is where they put him up. What a great clean hotel. Beds were comfortable! Room was cleaned and remodeled! We are at the hotel restaurant and food was good and they have a nice bar! Breakfast was great! If this place had 10 stars I would give it. Another plus was Dave and Busters is in walking distance.

"I did not get what I paid for."
The hotel and rooms are beautiful but we had to be moved because it was so noisy next door. We set the heat and went down to Dave and Busters when we returned the room was still cold. I changed the thermostat to 80 degrees it never moved off 71 degrees. We were given blankets.

"Came to Jacksonville to look for a new home"
Hotel is clean and staff is very nice. Beds are very comfortable and tv is huge!!! Wifi was better than expected. Would come back again. Speedy check in. Hallways were a bit noisy at night. Bathrooms could be a little bit cleaner.

"Excellent Experience"
Very nice staff. The rooms were very clean and roomy. Very close to where we had to go the following day. Check in and out were extremely fast. Breakfast was a buffet and had plenty of choices, and freshly cooked

"Great place to stay"
I was pleasantly surprised when i walked into the hotel. it more than met any expectations i had of a Best Western. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Loved the Keurig coffee maker in the room.

"Great place to stay"
Stayed at this hotel for one night because I had a reservation at another hotel nearby that was so disgusting, I had to check right out! The BW has great, updated, modern rooms with one of the most comfortable king beds ive ever slept in! The complimentary hot breakfast in the morning was very well stocked, and tasted great - eggs, bacon, hash browns, etc. well worth the money spent. Staff was incredibly friendly as well.

"Celebration"
We chose this hotel being a Best Western Premier Plus and it was the best hotel that we have been too in a long time. Freshly renovated & fantastic breakfast (people who worked it was also great). We were close enough to go to the beach, St. Augustine and much more. We will definitely go back.

"Great place"
Beautiful hotel, large rooms, full breakfast included. Samantha at the front desk was a wonderful asset to this place. You can tell it is newly renovated. Bedding was that if a 4 start hotel. I would highly recommend this place.

"Multi rooms "
The hotel was beautiful and the staff nice. However upon getting our room it was hot we turned up air and went to dinner. Came back still not cool. Went to bed and was so hot by 130 am went down to complain. They gave us another room only to have keys not open door and had to go back down again to get a third room ! All this at 1:30-2am ! Go to bed get up to take a shower NO shower curtain! Called waited 30 mins for that to occur. She comes to door and hands it to me to hang! Really??? She attempts to hang it and cant and has to go get someone else. The front desk tried to make it right by giving me points on my rewards account. But one who don't travel as much not sure that was the best way to handle. Disappointed with a premium brand.

"Annual Church Convention"

"Great staff"
This staff was by far friendliest I've seen in a very long time. All employers were very friendly, but I would like to shout out Laura and Ashley for being extremely accommodating and helpful! Restaurant had great food and drinks also.

"Very Nice Hotel"
Extremely clean and looks newly renovated. Location is right off I-95. There was a minor issue with Sunday morning breakfast. The food was good but the service was slow. The items kept running out. Such as the milk, eggs, bacon. The staff seemed to be overwhelmed. Plates and silverware kept running out. I must admit, there seem to have been an extremely large number of guests coming for breakfast. Other than that, the hotel was very nice and comfortable for our one day stay.

This is an absolutely great hotel. It's clean the rooms or better than marriot. i would absolutely stay here again. the only downside was when i went to eat at the bar. the bartender's service was horrible. wont eat in the restaurant again

"Great hospitality! "
Very fair price. Pool closes at dark but I like the large rooms and no carpet! Coffee in lobby and breakfast with oatmeal, muffins , cereals, donuts etc . There is a 50 dollar deposit required to keep out smokers. I found room clean and comfortable as well as the bed .
"Trip of misery!"
From the moment I pulled up, I thought I was at a cheap hooker motel! I am so disgusted I was forced to sleep in this place. They refused to refund my money and they don't even have a licensed elevator
"Red Lion Hotel now called ICON Hotel... Wow! How can they legally be open?"
I'm not sure how this place can legally be open... the construction going on at the former Red Lion Hotel, now called ICON Hotel is unsafe in my opinion. First, I made a reservation online and paid for two rooms... when I got there, there were no rooms available, and several guests (6+ waiting to check in behind us). After about a half hour, a gentleman came out from the backroom and gave the poor, overwhelmed desk clerk a few room keys. They found us a room, but it was on a floor with major construction going on... including walls completely out and exposed pipes. Secondly, the room was a mess! I don't mean the bed wasn't made, but there was food or something on the lamp, a torn and disgustingly dirty chair, water still in the tub (not draining) and hair and dirt on the phone. I was almost ready to report to the Health Department... yep, that bad! This, and the fact that around 7am the halls filled up with workers yelling, banging and ripping out drywall and carpeting right outside my door! I was also completely floored when I went to the elevator to leave and two workers, who arrived after I had been waiting for the elevator at least 3-5 minutes, pushed a cart full of torn out drywall in front of me and took ALL the space in the elevator. I ended up waiting for another 5 minutes! I know this all sounds like petty complaining, but if you are going to charge the rates you do, then the guest comes first... not the drywall removal. Until they get all of their construction and renovations completed, I would not recommend this location!
"Misleading information"
I booked this hotel in late January for a 5 night stay March 22. After reading numerous reviews, I called the hotel directly for information regarding their renovations. I was assured that all interior renovations would be complete by March 1. After reading more (very recent) reviews that indicated the renovations were not complete, I called again. I was told that all renovations would be fine by March 15. Now we arrive on March 22 to a lobby under MAJOR construction with workers painting, sawhorses etc. I asked to use the "Business Center" computer and printer and was told it is "under construction." No computers or printers available. The pool is emptied too. I was assured our room was "completely redone." Does this look new?
"Absolutely beautiful with only a small issue"
We stayed One Night in this hotel and from the outside it is absolutely beautiful and on the inside it is as well. This is probably the most luxurious Hotel I've ever stayed at for the price of a one-star Hotel. The bed is a Sleep Number bed which we were under the impression didn't work so for about 6 hours we slept on a hard bed until calling the front desk and finding out how to work the Sleep Number adjustment. After that the bed was amazing. The breakfast in the morning was the best breakfast I've ever seen at a hotel. The only small downfall was upon arrival we found out there was no air conditioning in the entire building. That wasn't too big of a problem because it happened to be 40 degrees outside but it still got warm in the middle of the night in our room. Besides this issue with the bed and the air conditioning our visit to this hotel was amazing. Also if you're in this area and are looking for some really good seafood or crawfish go check out Boiling Crawfish in the Jacksonville area. Honestly, the only reason we even stayed in this hotel or was in Jacksonville at all was because of Boiling Crawfish.
