    « Beautiful place »

Booked this hotel for my daughters birthday. These are her views as I haven't been. On arrival, the reception acknowledged her birthday, nice touch. They also offered a free upgrade to a suite. Room was huge and very comfortable, bathroom was also large and very modern. Everything was clean and fresh. They didn't stay for lunch as they had other plans but said that the breakfast buffet was excellent, very fresh with lots of choice. Wish I'd gone with them now, sounded great. Staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. Did get a quick video tour via messenger on arrival, looked superb.

« Old Manor House in Quiet Part of Inverness »

This hotel is located in a very quiet suburb of Inverness. It is an old manor house which has had a residential wing added along with a glass breakfast room overlooking the gardens. We had a Jnr Suite on the first Floor of the new wing (there was no lift but only one flight of stairs). The room was large with plenty of space for the two seater lounge and two comfortable chairs and coffee table. The window overlooked the gardens. Bathroom was very large with separate bath and shower. Pressure and temperature were great. The breakfast buffet had a good range of choices, with additional hot options available to order. The breakfast room transforms to the restaurant in the evenings. It is an easy 10 min drive into restaurants in Inverness town centre, but we ate at the hotel several times and were never disappointed. The bar/lounge area in the manor house is great for a pre/post dinner drink - and also serves more casual meals. As is often the case the aspect that makes a hotel standout is the staff - and so it is with this hotel. All the staff were helpful and genuinely friendly. In particular I would commend Lesley at breakfast and in the restaurant - a real delight.

    « roy chubby brown »

we booked here for our stay to go see the above, room was fantastic, clean and toilet was large with bath and shower , The staff were fantastic , breakfast was cooked to order so nice and hot, Overall couldn't fault anything , The staff were very polite and helpful ,Would recommend paying the little extra for a suite , We were in the Duncan and it was large and comfortable ,

« Home from home perfect »

Excellent hotel lovely clean rooms with beautiful bathrooms perfect team of staff who will cater to your every need would highly recommend this place to everyone and will always be number one choice when in the area for business or pleasure The food is also second to none.

    « Enjoyable »

Stayed here for 2 nights in the Fraser Suite. As an Outlander fan this made me smile! A huge great room. Really nice. The hotel is lovely and the staff are kind and helpful. Dined one night in restaurant. Food was great however my husband would have liked larger portions. He does have a huge appetite. Breakfast was good too - buffet style so larger portions. I liked reading the history of the main sandstone building and looking at the tapestry room. I love Victorian history. Thank you for a lovely stay.

« Good accommodation and great breakfast »

We stayed 2 nights recently. Our room was in the accommodation block next to Victorian mansion that forms the rest of this nice hotel. Our accommodation was very good and the full Scottish breakfast was excellent. There is lots of parking on site and the hotel was nice gardens. The centre of Inverness can be reached by walking for 20-25 minutes (part of that walk is alongside the River Ness). There is the option of the No. 7 bus for the less active.

    « Very nice »

We stayed here for 2 nights on our trip through Scotland. The staff is very friendly, clean rooms, close enough to the city center and parking included. We had dinner and breakfast, both which were reasonably priced and very good.

« Best Western has a good standard »

This hotel is located in a nice area on the outskirts of Inverness. Lovely old building with excellent architecture. Nice rooms and garden area. The food both evening and breakfast is of an excellent quality.

    « Scotland cisit »

Boy did we get the Royal treatment at this hotel. Now only was it appointed beautifully but the staff was a out of the ballpark home run. Our room was good size with a large brand new bathroom. It was done in wine color and ivory. We had lunch and dinner at the conservatory which is all glassed in with lovely views of the gardens. Please don't pass up the mushroom crostini. Deliciousness.

« Warm welcome every time »

This hotel is hidden away in a quieter part of the city. I use it regularly for business trips and right from my first visit I received a warm welcome. The staff are attentive to your needs and look after guests extremely well. It's an ideal base for business trips, but also for touring the Highlands if you want to get away from the hotels jam-packed with coach trippers.

« Went above and beyond »

My wife and I booked a last minute trip to this hotel. On arriving at the hotel they hadn't received the information. All they asked was I show them the email confirmation and they got us a room straight away. They ended up giving us an upgraded room which was more than we asked for. The bed was comfortable and the doors led onto the garden which was well maintained and also looked amazing. We went for dinner that evening and the staff were so attentive and polite. The food was fantastic. The atmosphere in the dinning area was just so peaceful and lovely really did make us feel relaxed and enjoying our time there. Would definitely go back to this hotel, even without the upgraded room.

    « Great find! »

We had a deluxe King room - (beware this is not an Australian/USA/NZ King but a queen sized bed). It was a comfortable chain hotel type of set up. A fine restaurant, good service, good parking, lovely setting in a quiet spot.

    « Lovely hotel! »

We really loved our 2 night stay at the Lochardil House Hotel. Our room was in the main building (there is another building close by) and was spacious with a lovely large bathroom. Bed was comfortable. Lots of tv channels. Tea and coffee station with shortbread. The hotel is located 2 miles outside of Inverness, and doesn't have good bus connections. You could walk but might take about a half hour. We had a car so drove and found it very easy to get parking in the city centre. Breakfast was in a glass conservatory and the staff were really nice. Great options for breakfast. I would absolutely stay here again!!

    « Nice place »

Nice hotel about 2,5km from the center of Inverness. Nice atmosphere and Nice and a little old fashioned rooms, but in a good way. Good breakfast and friendly staff. Only negative is that Wifi could be better.

« Excellent venue for a Celebration of Life »

Excellent hotel, wonderful staff. We felt right at home. They were extremely helpful and kind with all aspects of our stay, and the details of the Celebration of Life for my late mother-in-law. Beautiful grounds, picturesque setting.

« Lovely hotel, great location, fantastic food »

I have stayed here a few times now and the service is fantastic, lovely rooms clean and modern. The restaurant food is too die for really good quality and the staff can't do enough for you, a must stay if your in Inverness thank you Robert and your team ?? P.s the chocolate brownie is the best ever

« Amazing staff, tranquil location, fantastic food, brilliant experience »

This is what we would consider a perfect holiday. Right from the beginning the manager Robert was on the phone with us after we booked this hotel for 3 nights. The staff were even outside to receive us at the hotel and his staff was on standby to help us carry our big suitcase and show us our room. The restaurant was meant to close at 21:00 that night but since we were travelling over from Edinburgh, Robert already booked a table for us. The hospitality we have received here is just beyond written expression. With regards to the property itself, it deserves to be a 5 star hotel. The room we were given was picturescue, the toilets were spotless and the bar has a wide range of beverages. We wish this hotel the very best of success it deserves and it will be on our named list of places the next time we come up north. Superb food, terrific atmosphere and friendly staff. There is also a mini garden for children to play in just outside their restaurant. The only downside is that Tripadvisor does not let me give a business more than 5 stars because this establishment absolutely deserves more.

    « A very pleasant overnight stay. »

We stayed over for one night,22 July, and found the hotel to be a delight . We had a large bedroom in the annexe with very spacious bathroom. We had dinner and the food was of high standard and most enjoyable as was breakfast. The conseratory overlooks the lovely gardens. Ample car parking was available and the staff were excellent and friendly.

« Great Location and wonderful staff »

Don't be put off by the Best Western Brand, this is a lovely hotel in a great location less than 2 miles from Inverness. The standout feature of the hotel is the quality of all the staff that we encountered. Friendly, efficient and informative. The dining atrium for dinner and breakfast was light, airy and comfortable. The dinner menu was interesting and the food quality and presentation was excellent. Our room was comfortable. In brief, the overall feel of the hotel was excellent.

« Nice hotel but too pricey »

This hotel is nicely situated on the outskirts of Inverness and is an impressive Victorian building. The car park is nice and big and seems secure. We had a large room in the annexe on the groundfloor which had patio doors to a small area outside. The hotel was nice and peaceful and we had a good nights sleep. We ate in the restaurant and the food was good as was breakfast the next morning. So, overall the hotel was good but compared to other hotels on our travels across Scotland this was just way too pricey.

« Restaurant staff need a place to gossip »

Great service and accommodation this time. However the efficient restaurant staff have to congregate at the door to gossip. They should not stare at guests even though it is after 9pm as if they are desperate for them to leave.

« Luxury at Lochardil House Hotel »

Had an unscheduled overnight stay at this hotel as I was too tired to complete my long journey home from Durness. What a find - we were in one of the garden rooms which was excellent with French doors opening on to beautiful gardens. We chose not to dine in the restaurant and ordered room service which was excellent. Breakfast was served in the conservatory and consisted of an excellent selection of cooked food as well as continental fare. There were plenty of staff of duty and everyone was extremely efficient as well as friendly. I would definately stay here again.

    « Extremely Good »

This is a lovely small hotel within easy reach of Inverness and the road network for travel, yet tucked away in a quiet area. Our ground floor room (24) in the "Garden" area was spacious and clean, well furnished with a comfortable bed and a substantial bathroom. All the staff, and in particular Robert, went out of their way to make us welcome. Whilst we had intended to eat both in the hotel and elsewhere during our stay, the choice and quality of the food in the Conservatory restaurant decided us to stay at the hotel for dinner each night as, after a full days travelling and sightseeing, there seemed no point going out anywhere else. Everything you needed was here.

    « Great over all »

Very nice building. Lovely surroundings. Quiet. Friendly people. Very good breakfast with a great view to the garden. Good free parking. Top WiFi. Nice, a little bit old rooms. Very good toilets/shower. We come back for sure...

    « Lovely hotel »

Had an overnight stay B&B at this hotel and it ticked all the boxes for what I was looking for. Clean comfortable room with en suite, Lovely cooked buffet breakfast with a lot of choices. Friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely recommend

    « A credit to Scotland »

Had an overnight stay at the Hotel as we were attending a function there. Everything was absolutely first class, the only disappointment was not having the ground floor room I thought I had booked on line, not the Hotels fault, perhaps next time as I would most certainly stay there again.

« Most definitely the best hotel in the Inverness area!!!! »

After staying in and around Inverness I stumbled upon what can only be described as a hidden gem. I could not find a single fault with the place or the staff who went out of their way to ensure we had a fantastic stay. They have a vast array of meals on their menu which could easily cater for the most picky of people. I truly can't express how impressed I am with this family run hotel and would more than recommended it to anyone.

    « Faultless »

My company booked me to stay here for 4 nights and I cannot fault this place. Much to my delighted I was booked into a spacious family room which was lovely. The young manager was very polite and offered to get someone to carry my case to my room and explained where everything was. He was great with the staff and the atmosphere was good. Nothing was a bother. Food was excellent and good variety. It was also very prompt which is great when it's a meal for 1. I would definitely recommend this hotel for business or leisure.

« Best hotel visit I've ever had, amazing staff »

I stayed in the Lochardil for 4 nights due to work, I've stayed in quite a few hotels but never have I received such better service and quality. The food was delicious and the room was lovely but mainly, The staff were extremely friendly and went out of their way to ensure I had a pleasant stay. The hotel manager Robert especially who very kindly drove me to the local tesco as he knew I'm not familiar with Inverness and I told him I have no sense of direction! Michelle on reception was lovely too! Overall, I had an amazing stay and would recommend to anyone who's looking for a top quality hotel in Inverness to stay in.

    « Lovely hotel »

Hotel is in a quiet area of Inverness just over a mile or so from the city centre pubs, restaurants etc approx 5 mins in a car and another 5-10 mins finding a space. I didn't use the hotel much but my room in the new wing was immaculate with a garden view. Trip advisor also got me a free upgrade which was great. There is also plenty of free parking at the hotel. Would stay there again and it is great if u want a quiet break.

« Detail to service first class »

Hotel was booked through my company and honestly this place is faultless. The young lad Robert has the place running like clockwork and all staff were extremely pleasant. The food was very tasty at evening time and breakfast . The room I was allocated was very spacious and clean and a large tv as well for the football. Big well done to all the young staff for their politeness and professionalism.

    « Found a gem in Inverness »

This hotel gets my highest rating. Everything about it was exceptional from the rooms to breakfast to meals in the restaurant. Even their King size beds are real American sized beds. Robert and his entire staff went above and beyond to satisfy even the smallest request. Robert defines world class customer service. If you are planning a trip to Inverness, you must stay here.

    « Upgrade »

Rob at reception was exceptional. Hotel was full with only a suite left which was too pricey for us He later phoned us and said as it was only room left we could be upgraded at same price as normal room Our stay was exceptional

« good place to be! »

We loved to stay at this B&B for one night. With a very personal and friendly "touch" from Sheila! However we think it's. bit overpriced for what you get. Bathroom is much to small. But we were overwhelmed with all the little details in the house. For the rest no complaints, we will go back if we're in the neighbourhood.

    « woah experience »

the facade of this victorian looking structure is so mesmerising, it takes you back in time. Overall a great experience with good ambience and food. Would surely recommend to anyone. NB: kind of a hotel you can book for a typical full moon romantic night

« Very comfortable rooms and very friendly and helpful staff »

I have stayed here a number of times when passing through Inverness. The staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms are very comfortable. I asked for a late check out a couple of times and this was provided at no extra charge. The hotel is in easy walking distance from the river.

« A great start to a few days away »

Our stay was only short but a very enjoyable one. A lovely hotel in more ways than one, full of character. Spotless throughout, Bedroom well decorated, with the greatest asset, very comfy bed. Friendly and helpful staff. Food of an exceptional standard. No hesitation in recommending Lochardil House Hotel to anyone. Certainly would stay there again ourselves.

    « Exceptional hotel »

Cannot fault this hotel. We only stayed one night during a mini trip round the Highlands but have been a few times previously and we are never disappointed. Amazing staff, lovely room, fantastic food. In fact the only negative was that we only had time to stay there for the one night!

    « Fantastic service »

Really lovely welcome, homely feel, great big suite. Has to be the best in Inverness! Breakfast selection great. Owner is amazing guy- passionate, friendly and clearly really cares about his guest. Special mention too to Michelle on reception....

    « Fantastic »

Had a really fantastic stay here last weekend with friends. The room was quiet, comfortable and spotless with a huge spacious bathroom. We enjoyed room service dinner which was very prompt and a delicious breakfast in the lovely bright and sunny conservatory the following morning. The staff were very friendly and accommodating at all times. Would definitely return and recommend. Thank you!

    « Lovely hotel »

Stayed for 3 nights, the staff couldn't of been more helpful and friendly, stayed in room 35 in the Garden annexe, room was really comfortable and clean, good wifi signal, breakfast was excellent lots of choice, would definitely recommend this hotel.

    « Inverness »

This hotel is located in a lovely area of Inverness. The accommodation is excellent, as is the food in the restaurant. Friendly staff as well. I travel a couple of times a year to Inverness on business and also like to combine some leisure at the same time. A perfect place to relax.

« Good hotel, friendly and helpful »

A group of us stayed at Lochardil as we were taking part in a local cycling event. Very friendly welcome, and no bother to store bikes securely in the garage. Nice room, recently refurbished. No big, but big enough. Early breakfast was arranged for the cyclists, which was much appreciated, often a problem area in Scottish hotels ! Overall, a good choice and would go back if in the area again.

    « Nice rooms »

Arrived and found the rooms to be lovely, the suite we were staying in had a fantastic bathroom. The staff were very friendly and helpful, we were part of a cycling event and they put an early breakfast on for us.I would recommend the place and would come back anytime

    « Nice place »

We stayed one night here out of a week around Scotland, Room wasn't very spacious for two but we were only sleeping there so it's fine, lovely castle like house thingy... Looks old inside, defo would say it's probably haunted ??... But the lady at reception was really nice and helpful, we walked into the city which wasn't far and a really nice walk down the river, breakfast was great, really good full English breakfast buffet and huge fresh fruit and the staff were good too! Overall was happy with the stay! Although bed was abit soft for me but you can't please everyone 100%!!

    « Not that impressed. »

OK, so I booked a single room and what I got was a small room which, realistically, was only just large enough. The bathroom helped to compensate for this as it had a decent bath with shower over and it was quite spacious. Not sure about the meal, the starter was fine but I had the trout which was about as tasteless as a piece of wet cardboard. It must have been on offer as I was presented with a soup type bowl with five totally boneless pieces all piled on top of each other! Luckily I got a good night's sleep even though there was a wedding party with "thump thump" music although it all seemed to calm down soon after 10:30. I could also hear the bed creaking in the next door room but assume it was a single like mine as the creaking didn't amount to much!

    « Lovely hotel »

Lovely hotel in a great location. We only stayed one night but found the staff friendly and helpful. Room was a good size, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom had a great shower. Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice. Would recommend this hotel.

    « Birthday Party »

Held my 40th here and was very impressed with the staff and facilities. Robert in particular was very helpful, friendly and laid-back. Last minute changes were no problem. Some guests thought the drinks were too expensive but they were pretty compatible to other hotels. A great night was had by all and I'd thoroughly recommend this for a function.

« Great place to lay your head »

Fine accommodations with plenty of parking and a small town charm. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was very large in the family size rooms. The restaurant has a great breakfast featuring local cuisine, and the dinner was also enjoyable. A little outside the downtown area, but not far from anything you want to get to.

    « Wonderful stay »

We only stayed for one night and were impressed by the size of room and great layout. The breakfast the following morning was excellent. The staff were very friendly. It was a great experience for us and one we will do again.

« Lovely hotel (if you stay on the new block) »

I have mixed things to say about the place. I think the place is lovely, a bit far off from the centre (2 miles approx) but it's so beautiful. However my experience would not have been the same had I to stay in the old block. The rooms are much smaller and old. New block was great, well appointed and with a large bathroom. The hotel has a large restaurant and a private garden. A recommended property as long as you are driving or have access to a car. Not very convenient if you want to walk.

    « Home from home! »

I use The Lochardil Hotel often for work trips. Lovely hotel, great surroundings, nice rooms, comfy beds, great showers and good food. No complaints at all. However what has to be highlighted is the staff - nothing is ever a problem, each and every one go above and beyond to ensure myself and/or my colleagues are welcome and well looked after. A real pleasure.

« Good food, great service. »

Always an excellent stay at the Lochardil. Good food and great service have made for a positive experience every time I have stayed there. I have tried many hotels in Inverness and, unless a gym is high on your priority list, in my opinion you won't find a better one.

    « Quiet location »

The staff are very helpful, the breakfast buffet is good and the rooms are large and clean. Used hotel as a highlands tour base for a five day stay. There is a nice garden area to the rear of the main hotel which is great for sitting with a book and a glass of wine during the brief sunny spells during the Inverness summer. The location is south of the main dining and shopping area of Inverness so you will need a taxi or be willing to take a longish stroll ( watch out for the "hill" on the last leg back).

    « One night stay. »

It's some years since I've stayed here and was pleased to see not much has changed as far as the welcome is concerned. The accommodation has certainly upgraded and the food is as good as ever. Stayed in the annexe, which didn't exist on my previous visit, in a large well appointed room. Friendly staff who were attentive without being intrusive. Will look forward to another visit.

    « Anniversary stay »

Had our wedding dinner in this hotel 30 year ago ,so went their on 19th Dec 2015 , had dinner and stayed there, lovely dinner, lovely accomodation, lovely staff ,nothing is any bother ,would highly recommend .

    « Very nice stay »

Had an excellent stay after a late arrival. Since stay was unplanned i was happy hotel supplied me some needed extra amenities. Very nice location and a good breakfast buffet. Good service, will stay again.

    « Fine but 4.5 stars! »

First visit to Inverness & somehow booked the wrong Best Western as this one is a 5min taxi from city centre & as only going for a couple of days not ideal, if you are driving fine but that was my stupid fault. The hotel was friendly throughout staff helpful and nice, we were given a free room upgrade which was a spacious, clean suit situated in the annex opposite main building unfortunately there was an awful stench in the large bathroom which was probably due to the amount of rain causing the drains to struggle so made no issue. We have no complaints but feel 4.5 starts should be an exceptional hotel where as this is better than average. The negatives for us were, room not in main building in & out for breakfast, diner & felt detached, diner roast beef was overdone but not charged for still a shame as should be nice & rare, and breakfast had a buffet choice which if hotel is busy ok but much prefer cooked fresh to order. All in all a nice friendly hotel but lacked a bit of buzz but in truth so did Inverness mid week in winter.

    « Weekend for a wedding »

Stayed here for a wedding. It booked up quickly so we ended up with the smallest room in the place. It was compact, but still enough space for two people to get ready without stepping on each other. Decor throughout the hotel was a bit dated and tired, could do with a bit of a facelift. The place was clean and tidy and the facilities were good. We ate in the conservatory restaurant the first night and it was lovely. The wedding venue was good too, but again, felt a bit tired. Bit of a trek from the city centre, but we didn't have to leave the grounds.

    « Weekend overnight stay »

This was our third stay at the hotel in two years. As on our previous visits the standards of service are excellent, the rooms are very clean and well presented. Our evening meal and breakfast were also to a high standard. We look forward to another visit. Many thanks

« Excellent as always! Home from home. »

Have stayed here several times for last couple of years & one of the most warm, welcoming & comfortable hotels you could stay in. The team whether it be the owner, manager, reception, bar or restaurant are extremely helpful, friendly & attentive without being intrusive - we love the place! Rooms are very clean & decor in keeping with the building. New building has bigger & more modern rooms, however I've had no reason to complain regardless of what room I've been allocated! If you want a warm, welcoming, charming hotel to stay in in Inverness with a great & customer focused team, Lochardil is the place for you! Good has always been lovely from breakfast, lunch or dinner. A real home from home!

    « Tracy and Michael's Wedding »

Attended sisters wedding on 29th August and had a really great day. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Stayed the night in the hotel and found the room very clean and spacious. Good breakfast next morning. Function rooms were well laid out and the setting was ideal for the wedding photographs.

We have just spent three most enjoyable nights at Lochardil House. The warm welcome from the manager on our arrival was matched by every single member of staff during our stay. The Fraser suite was palatial, clean, warm and comfortable. The restaurant was so good that we abandoned plans to sample other eateries in Inverness and stayed at the hotel each night. This was a good decision as every meal, dinner and breakfast was delicious. No pictures on plates - just delicious food pleasantly served. My partner had a big birthday on the Thursday and we returned to our suite mid afternoon to find complimentary Prosecco and card from the staff. Lochardil deserves is ratings, deserves to continue to thrive and should we come back to Inverness, guess where we will be staying. Thank you to all of you.

« Old world charm and most comfortable »

There is grandeur here, large open rooms, tapestries, lounging chairs. Our room was most comfortable. We found the food marvelous on one night and passable on the other. Staff are polite, subtle and helpful. I'd recommend this hotel to all

« Friendly and professional wedding venue »

I had the pleasure of staying at Lochardil while attending a friend's wedding which was held in the hotel function suite. I was given a very friendly welcome on my arrival and this was a theme echoed throughout my three day stay. The staff were attentive but unobtrusive, nothing was too much bother, and they went out of their way to ensure my stay was pleasurable. The meals were outstanding, the table service excellent, the accommodation and housekeeping first class. I can honestly describe my stay as one of the most homely and relaxing experiences. The wedding and reception were outstanding, the details of which I will leave for the happy couple to post... I cannot praise the hotel and the staff highly enough, I would recommend Lochardil House Hotel for both hospitality and professionalism..whether it's for a short break or an important function, this hotel is top notch... When I return to Inverness I will definitely return to Lochardil...

    « Wedding »

Our daughter married at the Lochardil hotel last weekend and it was amazing, exceeding all our expectations. Throughout all the planning Robert was calmly efficient, knowledgeable, helpful and accommodating, nothing was a bother. The day before and the day of the wedding it was like they had just opened the door of their lovely building to us and said "Make yourselves at home." Many of the wedding guests booked rooms at the hotel, some for 4 nights, others just for day of wedding and not only was there absolutely no complaints, they went out of their way to say to us how lovely all the staff were both throughout their stay and during the wedding. The serving of the wedding meal itself was extremely slick and overseen by Robert and served extremely efficiently by the lovely staff. Whilst they can't take credit for the beautiful weather, they can take pride in the lovely grounds which we used for photographs. I cannot recommend The Lochardil Hotel highly enough with their lovely rooms, extremely efficient, friendly staff and superb catering both in the hotel restaurant and on day of wedding itself. Many thanks.

    « Spacious Room / Great Bar »

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Granted we stayed in a suit, it was an amazing room. Huge bathroom. Large parking area. A bit far from downtown, but about 6 GBP for a taxi or a nice 25 minute walk along the river. Nice seating area outside for drinks or food. Large dining area. Breakfast was pretty good, not outstanding. Beds were super comfortable. I wish we would have stayed here longer, and did day trips out of this hotel rather than going to some smaller B & Bs that were tiny and had old worn out beds.

« Great service, food and a fantastic nights sleep. »

This is a really good hotel in a convienient location. I use this hotel regularly when i am working in the inverness area. It is always very clean and comfortable. The staff are very welcoming and attentive and the food is very good quality and great value for money. I have stayed in several hotels in the area and Lochardil House would always be my first choice.

This ia a great Hotel, in a great place, with great rooms and a great dining experience. The Best Western Lochardil House Hotel sits South of the River Ness in a slightly elevated position in the Inverness suburb of Lochardil. lochardil, is approx. 1.5 miles West of the centre of Inverness - approx £6-£7 taxi ride from Inverness Railway Station. It is straightforward to walk to the Hotel but I imagine it would take you half and hour. The Hotel is like a large Scottish Country House - built in the style of a small Castle with occasional turrets. In the past ten years, a Garden Annex has been added to generate additional rooms to the rooms that sit within the old house. I have stayed at this Hotel on two occasions and on each have had a room in the Annex - I cannot comment on the condition, size and decor of the room in the main house but certainly in the Annex, rooms are spacious, tastefully decorated and furnished with matching hard and soft furnishings. The Hotel has a well ordered and well maintained Garden area to the front with well established shrubs and tree's including some uncommon tree's I've not seen before. A good place on a sunny / dry day for an outside gathering of Friends and Family. Breakfast - is Buffet Style with the option to order a small number of items to be cooked to order. The buffet is comprehensive and regardless of the time we were able to eat breakfast (for us this varied) the buffet was never tired, dry or past it's sell by date. Everything seemed fresh and appealing. The Black-pudding was a particular favourite and is sourced fairly locally from Stornaway. The Hotel supports the local market and tries to source all fresh goods from Inverness and surrounding area. Dinner is generally a set menu with good and varied choices. The menu didnt change whilst we were there over three days but each day, there were specials. Again the quality of the locally sourced food was superb. No faults at all. Service - great. It seemed to us that the two main staff serving in the Restaurant were Brother and Sister probably from Eastern Europe - both speak good English and were very pleasant and attentive. We go to Inverness frequently and in the past have use the Palace Hotel - another Best Western. It was only when they couldnt accommodate us on one occassion that we sourced and found the Lochardil House Hotel. I'm glad we did. This will certainly be our Hotel of choice in future.

« Best hotel so far! »

This is our first time to Scotland and we have so far stayed in Glasgow, Drymen, Edinburgh and now Inverness. We have enjoyed our holiday much to see and do! However, I must say the loveliest hotel so far has been at The Lochardil House (Best Western Plus) in Inverness. The hotel is beautifully maintained and elegant. Our rooms in the Garden Wing are truly beautiful. The staff has been exceptionally helpful in the care of an injured member of our party and a missing wallet from a cab. Extremely professional and friendly staff and guests alike. We have enjoyed our stay and almost regret having to move on to the next leg of our journey.

    « Convenient location »

This hotel is in a very convenient location for those wanting to visit Urquhart Castle or any other nearby attractions. We stayed here for one night at their top most rooms. We found the service/staff very friendly. The rooms are clean but nothing special. This is supposed to be one of the top hotels in the region but it is really average.
