Best Western Driftwood Inn

We have stayed at this property before and returned because of its great value and service. This is Best Western at its best! The whole property is spotless and well appointed. The beds and bedding are top knotch. Lots of little extras like actual more than 1 coffee pod and tea bag I truly like that we didn't have paper cups and plastic glasses in the room

Customer service was wonderful, breakfast was great and the room was very comfortable with a superb mattress and high quality pillows. I would love to stay again. Even the price was great! I suspect it would be even lovelier in the spring or summer.

We always prefer unique family run lodging when we travel. This Inn was everything we were hoping for after a long day on the road. It shares a peaceful and beautiful location along the Snake River - take advantage of the river-walk trails and picnic areas across the street. Pet and family friendly. Our room had updated decor with a large shower. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the room was meticulously clean. All the staff we dealt with were friendly and helpful. Easy check in and out, with fresh baked cookies at the front desk. The provided breakfast was the best we have had at a Best Western - cook to order eggs/omelets, fresh baked banana bread, muffins & biscuits - along with all the usuals. The cook was engaging and full of local info. Our only regret was that we had only scheduled 1 day there!

This nicely refurbished Best Western is directly across from the Falls in a very convenient location close to restaurants. The Falls have a very nice walking path next to them with explanation boards and a path that goes lathe river and over to the gardens in the island. A great way to unwind after traveling. The staff at this BW is fabulous, very friendly to us and to each other which makes the entire business feel welcoming. The room may be a bit smaller than other newly built hotels but all the amenities are great right down to actual glassware for drinking and very comfortable beds and pillows. Then the breakfast! Wow, they have an omelette bar and they make omelette for you as you wait, a big bowl of fresh eggs and lots of toppings - just your way. Fresh bakery muffins, fresh banana bread, fruit, and nice ceramic mugs for that lingering cup of coffee. I very much recommend this Best Western if you are in Idaho Falls.

Its kind of the best of two worlds. Its a vintage motor court hotel, but with fully updated rooms and facilities. Everything spotless and well-cared for. The breakfast was perfect, especially the cooked to order omelettes. The location right on the snake river falls is the best of any hotel in Idaho Falls

We stop at this hotel every year, on our way to AZ from Canada. Just a great little place with nice rooms and an excellent staff. I would highly recommend this place to any snow bird heading to and from the States. We are planning a “summer” trip in order to explore the area.

Beautiful walking trail right across the street for walking dogs and humans! Perfect for everyone's travel needs. Hot breakfast in well organized accessible area. Very welcoming lobby area. Staff was very helpful and efficient.

We stayed here recently and were very impressed with the hotel. Looks like it was updated recently. Great value for the money. Will definitely stay here again and recommend to friends. Service at the front desk was attentive and friendly.

My daughter and I stayed here for two nights. Everything was great from check in to check out. The room was very clean. The location is beautiful across from the falls. Walking trail around the falls is so beautiful and accessible just across the street. The breakfast was great with made to order omelets and the breakfast area was spotless. Plenty of choices for breakfast.

Room had all the amenities including a very large shower. Fresh eggs served for breakfast to order which was a pleasant surprise..staff was very helpful and exceeded expectations. Thank you, will be back for sure.

Incredible service, amenities like cooked to order eggs, was like going to a restaurant. Each staff member took their job to heart, the manager was outstanding and could tell she led by example, great communication, friendly, accomodating. we were here for a week for a business transition and this will be my go to. Plus close to a great river walk across the street. rooms were spotless, staff friendly and the coffee was always hot and perfectly brewed throughout the day!

My friend and I stayed for a night before an early morning flight. We were very impressed with how clean and comfortable the room was. We were in the two - bedroom king suite which had a nice kitchen and plenty of space. Would definitely stay again!

We picked this Best Western due to reviews , Checkin was o so pleasant ,all personnel was helpful giving us info, our room was clean ,beds comfy ,pillows I don't think any hotel can please everyone ,my fav pillow had to stay home, the area is Beautiful and serene ,the only negative comment I can make is the Shower could use a water saver head the water comes out fast ( personal opinion).

This place is amazing, right on the Snake River with beautiful views. We rode the complimentary bikes along the river and had a great time. This hotel has the biggest spa I have seen and the pool was a perfect temperature. For breakfast staff will make eggs to your liking and everything was great, lovely hot breakfast. The garden is beautiful and local good food places within walking distance. Great beds and pillows, no noise and the air conditioning worked well and was quiet. Can't wait to come back one day. Well done guys!!

Loved this place. Drive up to the door motel. Rooms and furnishings fairly new. Also loved the omelette station. It was great having a freshly made egg. Also motel is right across the street from the river and falls. Nice walking area.

There are not enough stars to show how great this property is. The staff are exceptional. The Inn is super clean and very well maintained. The hot breakfast is restaurant quality. The immediate area is spectacularly beautiful and serene. We have stayed at this property several times, and wouldn't think of staying any place else.

Quite possibly the best motel we've stayed at. Courtesy and friendliness of the staff was the best. Their made to order omelets for breakfast were great. We appreciated the woman who checked us in. She suggested a great room that was quiet with easy access to the riverwalk. We couldn't be happier.

This was a great place to stay. In the morning, we walk the dog along the river and enjoyed delicious omelet for breakfast. The room is comfortable and clean. The staff was extremely friendly and pleasant. We will be starting here again!

We enjoyed staying here very much. They greeted you with cookies at the front desk. And the staff was very friendly and helpful. Take advantage of their military discount if you can. There is a workout room that is air conditioned. And has a basic amount of equipment. There are blackout curtains on the window which we enjoy very much. The park is very conveniently located across the street. So taking walks was a pleasure every morning. They are pet friendly and enjoy visiting your furry family. My only complaint was how they put in their toilet paper holder. Almost every time I sat down, I would knock the toilet paper into the trash can. The showers have two different heads you can use. That was very interesting. The room was comfortable and we really enjoyed our stay.

Stayed at the other BW in Idaho Falls, and accidentally ended up downtown. Best accident ever. The staff across the board was on track, on time and very helpful. No begging to get service done in the room. Room was spacious and clean. The facility is older so the bathrooms are a little small, but that was not a big deal. Breakfast options were great and they had a small egg bar (scrambled, omelettes) versus those premade egg things. The pool was nice and the hot tub excellent (open 24hr s). Plenty of restaurants in walking distance or 5 minute drive. (Try the Rib&Chop). And not to be forgotten the view, across the street from the Snake River and the falls. Walk paths (BW has bikes for guests as well). It really was a pleasure to be there.

This hotel was one of the best hotels that I have stayed at in the Best Western chain. The Staff is friendly and helpful. The property is immaculate. The made to order breakfast was a surprise. The rooms were spacious.

The Driftwood Inn is located across from the snake River. Great place to walk along the river, my pups loved it. The home made touches for breakfast with made to order omlettes and muffins set it above all the rest.

Great, clean, comfortable hotel! Awesome location too. Right next to the River, bike rentals, etc. Idaho Falls is a fun town with quite a lot to do with a family. I would definitely stay here again!

The landscaping at the hotel was beautiful with colorful plants and flowers. And the Snake River walking trail across the street was fantastic. Such a nice area to take a stroll. The Japanese garden park is worth the short walk.

Then you arrive and find that the photos are a few years old and the place is worn and maintenance isn't being performed for up keep, or some of the amenities advertised aren't available... This is not the case here! We had a spectacular experience. This hotel is beautiful. The pool was the ideal temperature, the bikes were newer, the Jacuzzi area is even more beautiful in persone, it was a very relaxing environment. Too boot, the staff truly seem proud to represent this establishment. Everyone we interacted with was pleasant and helpful! Breakfast offering we fresh and the food delicious. The location is ideal!

Hands down the best experience I have had at a Best Western. The workers - incredibly friendly and helpful. Our room - a view of the Snake River - was awesome. Enough space to sit outside and relax and we enjoyed the shower - rainfall shower head as well as shower heads in the wall. The room was very clean, and there are restaurants that are walking distance too. The breakfast- another super experience as there were workers to make our omelet to order and they too were incredibly friendly. Hot tub was separate from the pool and very nice and easy to use. These folks know how to do customer service - wish I could give more than 5 stars!

The people at this motel are very friendly. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. The breakfast had fresh omlets which was a nice feature. Also, they had fresh cookies at night. The parking is a little tight if you have a pick-up.

BW Driftwood that has been tastefully upgraded with 50-60's style. Our room was overlooking the Snake River and the Mormon temple. Outside had wonderful plantings and manicured lawn. Breakfast, had an Omelette bar. Asked what you wanted and you received. Wonderful and attentive staff. Pool area was vacuumed and scrubbed clean including the fence.

We traveled with a pet and this location made it easy. The beds were very comfy, room was clean and nicely furnished, fitness center was clean and in working order, pool was clean and had toys for kids, breakfast was great and staff was incredibly friendly. We have already booked another room for our drive back. This BW will be our top pick when traveling through Idaho Falls from now on! Highly recommend!

Our 3-night stay at Idaho Falls's Driftwood Inn was wonderful! The rooms in our group were spacious, clean, well annointed, quiet and very comfortable. The amenities included a superb breakfast, free use of bicycles, and a 24-hr hot tub! Such a scenic location, with porch seating in order to enjoy it!

The service and staff are so outstanding I can't give then a high enough rating!!! We loved every minute of our stay!! I think everyone we met must take happy pills in the AM The place is clean, well cared for, and everyone takes pride in their work! Our experience could not have been better. I could not find ONE thing to complain about!!!

Great, small hotel on the river near the falls, excellent staff, service & accommodations. Plus, a fresh, hot breakfast in the morning. Rental bikes availability and plenty of places near by to walk to for meals. Loved it and will be back!

Great place to stay. Location, cleanliness and service were top notch. Complementary Breakfast was wonderful. Very well served and with variety I wanted to tip house keeping but using the “system “ in place you have to pay a fee to tip. I did not like that. Make sure you have cash to leave tip if you desire to. I am guessing you can leave cash on the table. Rooms were more like suites. Room full kitchen and dining table. Definitely I will Come back

My wife and I had checked in and out very quickly of a local competitor, due to the hygiene issues. We pulled up at the Best Western and I asked if they had any rooms for the night. Jessica on reception was just delightful and very accommodating. She organised us a room for the night advise us of all the amenities, breakfast and offered us some home made cookies. The little things go along way. The room was very comfortable, clean and perfect for us. We had breakfast in the morning and the two ladies in there we're so helpful and kind too. 10/10 and thank you again.

This Best Western is one of the best. Very clean and well-taken-care-of. We loved the fireplace in the lobby and just generally welcoming atmosphere - including ice scrapers for visitors to use on their cars. We know they had worked hard to move snow out of the way so all the parking was still available. Lovely setting just steps away from the falls! Dining area was spotless and they have an omelette chef besides any other breakfast food you could want. All was tasty. Room was clean comfy, and the heat was on when we arrived. Good coffee too. We will visit again for sure.

This is our second visit to this hotel. The first time we stayed in a very nice room but this time we stayed in their two bedroom suite with a well appointed large kitchen. The decorating is bright and clean looking. The artwork is calming and subdued. There was a waterfall shower head in the shower too! The room was very relaxing. The people at the front desk are polite and helpful. The spa and pool look nice but it was winter so of course we didn't use the pool. The spa looked cozy but we didn't have time to use it. There is a yummy Mexican restaurant and Pizza place close by. We couldn't ask for more.

This place is super nice. Very clean, great location, wonderful breakfast and real nice employees. The hot tub room is fantastic, along with the exercise room. One of the best if not the best hotels I have stayed at in a long time.

The breakfast was absolutely astounding! What hotel chains similar to Best Western offer an omelet bar?!!! It was delicious! The room was clean and the entire staff was very friendly. I plan on staying here again in the future.

We truly enjoyed our stay. Pet friendly. Great customer service. Terrific spa and laundry facility. Great breakfast bar. The Staff provided weather and road reports, sites of local interest, and areas of interest in the surrounding area. We plan to stay here again and will adjust our travel plans so that we end our day at the Best Western Driftwood Inn at Idaho Falls.

We always stay here when traveling through. Staff is friendly and the rooms are clean and well-priced. The breakfast is good and they have an omelette bar. The location by the river, downtown and restaurants is great.

The Drftwood was very clean, with friendly staff, and a great breakfast! The omelet bar is such a great feature! Our room was clean, comfortable, and had a nice view of the falls. Unlike most hotels with poor water pressure and a sorry excuse for a shower, our shower was modern, high-pressured, and spacious!

We booked for two nights but had to book a third night after arriving. From the rooms, breakfast, hot tub and river walk and falls less than a minute away our stay became a vacation. We traveled with out two dogs also and the place was perfect for them also

The location is easily reached from the interstate and lies along the river with beautiful falls just outside your room. The staff couldn't be more friendly and accomodating! The breakfast is fantastic, made to order omletes and homemade banana bread plus all the traditional offerings in an extremely organized, clean and friendly environment. Rooms are clean and welcoming.

This hotel was very good! We were given a bag with 2 bottles of water and M and M s on check in. Staff were excellent. Breakfast in the morning was way more than we expected. Cook to order eggs. Make your own pancakes and waffles. Juice. Etc.

We have stayed at a number of BW hotels. So far, this was my favorite. Every staff member was helpful and smiling even at midnight. Breakfast included a made to order omelet bar. Very nice. Close to highway and on the river. Only needs a long handle to turn shower on so you don't get wet and cold.

This was a trip to see our grandson for the 1st time. On our way from a very long drive we stayed in room #40. Upon checking in the gentleman was so worked up over a call he had received from someone complaining and was so upset over that situation it made me very uncomfortable. Very unprofessional. And It was not the most cleanly of rooms, but we overlooked that as we were so tired from our drive. On our return home we stayed again at this hotel , hoping for a better experience, but in room #92. Omg! Beware ! This is an extremely narrow and dangerous walk of stairs. I truly say be careful!!! Upon getting to the top we had to maneuver best we could in a VERY tight space to open the door. The room across from us had food sitting on the floor waiting to be picked up by housekeeping, if we moved the wrong way we'd be stepping in the food. It was that tight. We open the room and it was freezing. We tried to get the heating working but it only was putting out minimal heat. It gets worse. The housekeepers closet is literally ajar and not a pretty sight directly outside our room to the left. If that's how they kept the linen/cleaning essentials closet it explains a whole lot! I did speak with Tanya who I believe to be the manager and my complaint was shrugged off with, I'm so sorry to hear that. No compensation. Now let's talk parking lol That's a joke. There is no where to park if you don't own a clown car. We had to park across the street. Overall I'd say not a great hotel. And I love animals as we have many ourselves. But letting the owner or managers dog run free around where food is served and in reception area is not good health standards or safety.

We've stayed at the Driftwood Hotel at least 8 times a year for the past few years. It's our halfway point between destinations. The breakfast service has always been first class with fresh omelettes made to order, delivered to your table. Friendly staff, clean comfortable rooms, beautiful location right beside the Snake River. And within walking distance of more than a few fabulous restaurants. Kinda checks all the boxes for us.

The beautiful setting, the meticulously kept property inside and out, the comfortable rooms, the yummy and plentiful breakfast, and probably most of all the fantastic staff ... we love coming here! We will be back!

close to many food places, close to the river, clean room, had chose of upstairs or ground floor rooms, have stayed here a couple different times and will come back, had a pool but we checked in too late to enjoy it

This place is the perfect base for trips. Yellowstone, Craters of the Moon, Bear World etc. The hotel itself is cosy and always clean, all staff members are very friendly and helpul. Great value for money, too!

Based on the pictures and the price, I expected a roomy king room inside a hotel. But in fact they have a bunch of motel rooms you drive up to like a little 70s motel with the basic rectangle small room and very small bath and this is what we got. Parking right in front of the room, like you see in all these little motels, but if someone parks their big super size truck next to your site, good luck. They did update the rooms but it felt like a $60 room, not a $130 room as we were charged.

Location, location! This Best Western is in a beautiful location facing the river and convenient to good restaurants and other Idaho Falls activity. Topping off our stay was the upgrade we were given! The Driftwood has been our go to place for lodging in Idaho Falls since we started visiting there. Probably our 6th time there. It is always consistent. Add a wonderful breakfast furnished in the morning and it is everything you need.

From the phone call making last minute reservations to the front desk to the extremely clean room, all was amazing. My room was so perfect. Breakfast was great. Most of all all the staff from cleaning ladies to front desk had big smiles and so helpful.

Had a second floor room with a balconey overlooking the falls. Hotel was very clean and the staff was very helpful. Breakfast was great with made to order eggs. Parking is a little tight because I have a big truck. Walking distance to several great restaurants.

The Best Western Driftwood is perfectly comfortable, perfectly located near plenty of restaurants on the river. They provide a delicious breakfast. It is clean, has a lovely jacuzzi and the staff is so very kind and helpful. We will stay here anytime we are in Idaho Falls.

Good quality, well located comfortable accommodation at the riverside overlooking Idaho Falls (the waterfalls which give the city its name). Good value, lovely open air pool with fitness studio, breakfast is included and staff are friendly. A great stopover on the way to Yellowstone Park.

We were pleasantly surprised by this motel! Right across from the falls, we loved that we could walk to dinner while enjoying the falls along the way. The price was great! Cute, clean and breakfast was perfect. Highly recommend!!!

Great motel next to river, great breakfast, pool, and fitness room. Very friendly staff helped with where to eat, shop for sundries. Tonya got us close to everything because my wife had a bad knee(broke cap 3 months ago)

This hotel looks aesthetically pleasing from the outside but the rooms are dated. The carpet was gross and the room had a smell. Some of the other clientele when we arrived made our family a little uncomfortable. There were a group on the balcony drinking and watching everyone that was in the pool. We were on the bottom, so there was no "river view" it was just of the cars in the parking lot. The breakfast was the best part. There was an omelet station and plenty of other options for the family. The staff was super friendly and helpful as well.

we have been sightseeing thru Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, Glacier and up into Canada to Waterton Lakes Lodge, but I always love coming home to my Best Western hotels in The US. Great service, super Clean and the friendliest staff

Great place to overnight while travelling. Check-in and check-out was very quick. Clean and comfortable and somewhat dated but that's all good when it is clean and it was. The main parking lot is a little tight for larger vehicles. Nothing stands out as far as amenities. Parking lot was secure and camera protected.

We stayed here passing thru Idaho Falls on a road trip to Montana. The location can't be beat traveling with pets. Right across the street from an expansive river walk park. The hotel itself is also lovely with beautiful flowers and landscaping. And the furnishings of the rooms and bathrooms were of nice quality. Good location for restaurants as well. We ate dinner at Copper Rill down the street (highly recommend the black & bleu filet)

The staff here were friendly and helpful during our stay. It was nice to have a little balcony overlooking Snake river. It was quiet at night and we had two good nights of sleep. The location is brilliant, it is within easy walking distance of the town we would recommend a stay here to anyone visiting Idaho Falls.

We were in Idaho Falls for a concert and made the right choice to stay at this hotel! The grounds were SO PRETTY and you are located literally across the street from the falls. Our suite was huge with full size appliances. Very clean.

My husband and I had a short weekend trip to Idaho Falls. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. The Driftwood is in a great location, central to town, with lovely views of the river, and Idaho Falls temple. We spent one night strolling down the river walkway to the Japanese Friendship Garden. They even have bikes you can use if you would like. The breakfast was one of the better free ones I have had at a hotel. The omelet bar is a nice touch, and the banana bread was yummy. Overall it was a really good experience. The only issues I had was the room was a little dated, small bathroom, and one of the mattresses (there were 2 queens) wasn't great. Also when we checked in our room the cleaner scent was pretty overwhelming. We almost requested a different room, but decided it wasn't worth the bother. Also, the pictures make the pool look bigger than it is, and are a little misleading... the pool is in the parking lot on the front of the building, by the street. The AC was a little loud, but I like the white noise to sleep with, esp at a hotel. I accidentally left a clothing item, and the staff was very helpful about shipping it to me (for a charge of course). Like I said, overall pretty good.

Everything about this place was done properly. Super staff, no imperfections anywhere, very impressive. One of Best Westerns top run locations. Views and city access top rated, can walk to restaurants, greenbelt steps away, we loved it

Very Nice Motel. I felt it was a little bit expensive. Otherwise it was excellent. Nice view and we enjoyed the outdoor swimming pool. Easy to park in and easy access to your room. We did not try the breakfast this time, but intend to try it the next time we stay.

We stayed here one night on our way home from vacation. We needed a pet friendly hotel. We stayed upstairs above the pool area in a king suite with a balcony. We are elite members and they had a goodie bag ready for us when we checked in. This is the older Best Western in Idaho Falls but it is by the river. Good: -Pet friendly. -Next to the river and great walking paths for your dog. -Great view of the river! -Restaurants and an ice cream shop within walking distance. -Comfortable mattress and soft sheets! -Bathroom fan works really well. -Clean room. -Front desk very friendly and helpful. -Room looked updated with the decor and furniture. -Neat clear see though fridge. -Large bathtub and not shallow like the newer hotels have now days. Different/Suggestions: —The room layout is kind of weird. It's an older hotel and we had a corner sink with two mirrors. -Paint is peeling on the bathroom wall. The room needs some paint touch up on the walls. -There is NO elevator if you have a room upstairs. You will need to carry your luggage up 2 flights of stairs. -The screen sliding door to the balcony does not open easily. It falls off the track. -The parking lot can we difficult to get in and out of the hotel has a lot of guests. Overall, we just needed a room for one night. Next time we might look for a newer hotel. We do like Best Western hotels for their comfortable mattresses, soft sheets, dog friendly and their rooms are always very clean.

The hotel is an older property but completely updated. Right in the river and within walking distance of a variety of restaurants. Immaculate grounds, spotless room, wonderful breakfast. Best pet relief area we've ever encountered. Both indoor and outdoor pools. Great value in comparison to other hotels in the area, all of which seem $50-75 a night overpriced for similar accommodations.

Had planned our stay here on the way back home from wintering in Arizona... ended up with mechanical issues and had to stay 3 days longer.. The hotel staff was so accommodating and helpful....our room was perfect...

Rooms were clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Parking was limited so we had to park along the street but it was still close to our room. The breakfast was good especially the made to order omlettes.

Convenient hotel just across street from Idaho Falls and Riverrwalk. Best breakfast - they have a staff member making made to order omelets or eggs. Nice selection of other items too. Definitely would repeat our stay.

Stayed 1 night here on my way through Idaho. A very enjoyable experience. The hotel looks to have been remodeled in the recent past and they did a very nice job. Rooms are large, well decorated and very well maintained. The staff was fantastic, friendly, helpful and engaging. The location across the street from the river was great. Probably in the top 10 of all Bestwestern hotels I have stayed in and I stay in a lot of them every year. I would recommend this place for sure.

What a clean, friendly, and relaxing place to stay, and in such a GREAT location! The motel grounds were clean, I felt safe, the staff all very friendly and welcoming, my room was very clean, quiet, and had nice amenities, and the full breakfast was another happy surprise! It is very well located right across from the falls and river, and the Greenbelt for nice walks along the river, and to the restaurants. I'll definitely stay here again, and will look forward to it, when I return sometime to Idaho Falls!

Clean, convenient, affordable and employees go out of their way to make the stay perfect. This is a great place, hot delicious breakfast, close to the falls, rooms have great views, right on the river walk and close to good food options within walking distance. Highly recommend.

Great location and room was very clean! Very friendly staff and delicious breakfast. Omelet bar was great. We walked along the riverfront and enjoyed the balcony on our room. Will definitely stay here again!

We are always a little nervous about what kind of room we will get, when requesting a pet friendly room for us and our 2 cats. Our room at the Best Western Driftwood was immaculate and the beds were so so comfortable. I did give an average rating for the room. only because we thought it was a little smaller than what we are used to. Without our pets, we stay at luxury hotels, so this was a very nice experience.

My husband and I stayed here on a business trip recently. We absolutely loved it and are planning to return for a quick stay just for fun. The staff was so friendly, something we have found is becoming rare these days. After having a bad experience at another Best Western we were so pleasantly surprised with this hotel staff. The breakfast was good. Above the normal complementary breakfast, they have made to order eggs and omelettes. The shower in our room had both a normal shower head and a rain fall one. That was very nice. We had no issues at all with our stay. We loved everything about this place.

Passing thru for one night, was a great place to stay! Walking distance to restaurants and breweries, plus a wonder view of the river and falls. Room and bed were comfortable and clean, breakfast was fantastic, and staff were polite and professional. Would definitely stay here again if the need arises.

This is a great place to stay and the breakfast is outstanding! Anytime we head up to Yellowstone we always plan to stay at the Driftwood. There is also a great walking trail along the Snake River. I highly recommend the Driftwood.

Stayed here for one night. The room was clean, large and very comfortable. Great location near downtown, the river and close to the interstate. Wonderful river walking trail nearby and lots of choices for restaurants. The breakfast was as good as it gets. Most importantly, the staff were extremely kind and provided top notch service. Highly recommend staying there. Also, pet friendly.

We really enjoyed our comfortable room; but the friendly staff really made the stay memorable. Everyone was so friendly and attentive. Our room was ready when we arrived and fully equipped for our stay.

Love the location along the river walk. Quiet spot for good nights sleep, easy to get to downtown for good dinners. Service at breakfast was wonderful. Wish there were an indoor pool, as it was still very chilly out, but we made use of the hot tub.

We had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel that was over looking the waterfall of Idaho Falls. But the best part was the wonderful friendly staff. So very nice-all of them. From the cleaning staff, to the front desk, to the ladies cooking you a hot breakfast (yes an included hot breakfast!!) and to Emily the manager. We have travelled a fair bit and sadly you don't get the pleasure of seeing this all that much. Fresh baked cookies in the lobby for you at 4:00. The rates are good also. Very comfortable and clean room. My husband and I were saying-we think the staff are all happy because they enjoy where they work. Testament to the management. If you are passing through or vacationing in Idaho Falls-consider booking here. Will not disappoint.

Twice a year we look forward to staying at the Driftwood Inn as we go through Idaho Falls. The view of the falls and snake river from the upper floor is fabulous and the rooms are so cozy and welcoming. The staff is friendly and efficient. A great place to stay with your dog.

Nice location, next to the river and walking paths, far enough off the I15 for a relaxing night stay. Staff were friendly and very helpful with local knowledge and suggestions. The Room itself was clean, beds were comfortable with an overall great experience

Fantastic location for a walk along the river without even having to start the car after a long day driving. This hotel is definitely one of the very best Best Westerns we've ever stayed at. The omelette bar is the greatest and the staff were all fantastic.

Emily, the Manager is amazing. She greets guests at breakfast and takes note of any issues you might have and deals with them very quickly. The location within Idaho Falls is great - right by the river and centrally located to just about everything. Only about 6 blocks off the freeway and easy to find. A variety restaurants in the area, many within walking distance. The breakfast has choices for everyone and if you like homemade banana bread, you are in for a treat. Check-in and out was quick and easy and the fresh cookies in the evening are a nice touch. The beds are very comfortable. I never have a problem getting to a good nights sleep and stay here 30+ nights a year. The rooms are neat and clean and have been updated regularly.

What a gem! This hotel was terrific! The check in process was easy and Dawson at the front desk was so friendly and helpful. The room was clean with a comfortable bed. The breakfast really sealed the deal for us! Made to order eggs by a super friendly attendant. It was so nice to interact with people who seemed to enjoy their job and appreciate your choice to stay with them. We even appreciated that the manager brings her dog to the office! It felt like we were staying at a relatives house.

This is the 2nd time we've stayed at this Inn. The 'River View' rooms are the best and the view of the Snake river and Idaho Falls Temple are breathtaking. The greenbelt walkway located just across the street is a bonus. The selection for breakfast is great and yummy and includes a made-to-order egg/omlet bar with a very friendly staff. The room was clean and comfortable.

For the last several years we have stopped at the Driftwood Inn on our way south. After our first stay we knew this is where we would attempt to make in a days driving because of its location on the river and because of what we get at the Driftwood.

The room was nice. The chair was comfortable. There were plenty of plugs available - which is rare these days. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast staff were very friendly and proactive. Plenty of parking.

We were welcomed by the manager (owner?) with freshly baked chocolate chip cookies!! The room was very clean, lots of space, and many restaurants within walking distance. The breakfast the next morning was outstanding…catered!! Omelettes cooked in front of us, friendly and welcoming staff all around. We wish these new managers the very best and by their reception and service they will succeed for sure. Thank you for making our stay a pleasure.

This was a great place to stay before leaving from the Idaho Falls airport the next day. We had and awesome little kitchenette room directly across from the riverwalk. Although it was winter and rather frigid it was an easy walk and seeing the falls, some were frozen over was beautiful. Location is convenient to food and just minutes from the airport.

We spent a month here while looking for housing. Stayed in Rm 98, a one bedroom with studio and kitchen. A great hot breakfast complete with waffles and made to order omelettes is served from 6 to 10 a.m. daily. We had a great view of the Snake River and ( frozen) Idaho Falls with the LDS Temple gleaming across the river from us. Beds were very comfy and the hotel offers a choice of pillows! The linens were clean and cases odor free, for those with sensitive noses. The pool is open seasonally. There is a very nice spa/ hot tub with decadent features in a separate windowed space. All the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the google hotel star rating with google is way off base; If they had an elevator they would RANK 5 STARS, according to their own guidelines! However, reading the reviews I reserved here and it was a great choice. The BW Driftwood Inn is convenient to the picturesque downtown, the highways and close by shopping. We will refer any guests to the Driftwood Inn - we were sorry to move into our housing after the stay.

We had a massive room on the second floor over looking the river and the falls…perfect! While checking in we were invited to partake in the Super Bowl festivities later on the lobby…appies and beverages provided! We walked across the street to the walkway along the river and the falls…so pretty. Location is close to many restaurants and has quick access to the highway. This was our second stay and will definitely stay again when in Idaho Falls!

Having stayed in many hotels in the last few years all over the Western US, I would say Driftwood Inn in Idaho Falls is one of the Best! Friendly, helpful staff (especially the breakfast hosts) make the stay delightful. Spacious, clean comfortable rooms and a great Idaho Falls location make the best Western Driftwood Inn a great place to stay when in Idaho Falls.

Staff was very friendly, room was clean and comfortable, good walking space right across the street and breakfast was good. New management is getting the place updated and we'd certainly be interested in seeing the results if/when we pass through this region again.

We stay here almost exclusively now because of the consistently good service, the comfy beds, the location, and they are a pet friendly hotel. The room amenities are fairly standard - bar fridge, microwave, etc. but they have switched to a keurig type coffee system which in my books is top notch. I love my coffee in the morning and this is fantastic. Breakfast offered is delightful with individually prepared omelets stuffed with your choice of bacon, ham, mushroom, tomato and lots of merry cheese. Fresh fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, best banana bread ever. The location is easy in/easy out if you're travelling I15. And the walk along the river pathway is spectacular, with the falls right outside your door. Beautiful views in summer and winter.

This is a great little hotel for $100-ish. The rooms are clean, the linens nice, the in room coffee tasty and the carpets are clean. In the evenings they have coffee and cookies and soup. For breakfast they have homemade banana bread, sausage and biscuits and make fresh omelettes to order. And fresh fruit. A real breakfast and pretty darn good coffee. It's great if you have pets as it's right along the river and there is a great loop you can walk on a path. I love this little hotel have been staying there at least once a year at the same time for 10 years. In my travels A $100 room gets you sketchy carpets that smell like sweaty ski boots and questionable bedspreads. Not this place. The people rock and the place is a little gem.

This hotel is very nice with a big bonus of being right on the river walkway, which is so gorgeous! I picked this hotel so my little dog could come along and the hotel was very accommodating with this. The included breakfast bar with omelettes made for you was excellent and the hotel staff was so friendly. Very homey atmosphere!

Our stay at BW was great. People were very nice. Check-in and check-out was quick. Breakfast was good and the people running it were courteous and helpful. Location is close to good restaurants. I will definitely stay here again in the future.

Stayed here twice last week; both times the pet-friendly room, in wing just behind office, was spacious, very quiet (except for mildly noisy heating unit) impeccably clean and provided a very comfortable queen bed. The breakfast omelette station was worthy of a Grand Hyatt, Location adjacent to the Snake River is appealing and offers a sweet walking opportunity.

I love staying here. The rooms are always clean and nice. I prefer the “River View” side, but that's my preference. I love seeing my name on their Elite Welcome Board. It makes me feel important. They have a wonderful breakfast. (Try the omelettes with everything…). The rooms are always clean and comfortable. If you get a chance, ask for the KG suite. You won't be disappointed. All in all, I look forward to the next time I get to stay here.

The hotel is located next to the Idaho Falls river walk. Lots of things to do within walking distance. We stayed in what looked like an older part of the hotel. The good: The price was more reasonable that others in the same area, the room was clean, the staff was friendly, breakfast was good, and we had a view of the falls. The not-as-good: The room décor needed a refresh/remodel and the parking area was small. The rooms and parking might be better in the other buildings that are part of this hotel. We had no problems during our stay and I would stay here again.

We love this place and have stayed there for years. Great breakfasts, comfy beds, nice amenities and a great shower. Highly recommend if you are in Idaho Falls for any reason. Location is nice too. Close to the Interstate and overlooking the river. Also like all the restaurants in the area you can walk to.

We stay often at this hotel. Beautiful location right across from a serene river walk. While this is an older property (two previous properties combined into one), it is extremely well maintained. Breakfast is cooked to order! Friendly, competent staff result in many returning travelers. Comfy beds, good TV options, eateries fairly close. We walk a block to a complex with several unique restaurants. We like it!

We booked this through Hotels.com for $248/night for a one queen bedroom. When we pulled up, we were rather shocked to see a really dumpy place right next door- I mean REALLY dumpy. Our place was really a one floor motel which wasn't very appealing. We checked in and when we got to our rooms, the musty, mildew odor could have knocked us over. I felt like I was back in the 50's at a $25/night place. We paid $248/night! I complained to the front desk and they promptly moved us to the two-story motel on the hidden side of the office. It was much better but still not worth the price. The breakfast is really good, though. It's right across from the Falls, but not very nice area.

When we are in the area we always choose the Driftwood Inn. Located across the street from the falls and park it is also within walking distance of many good restaurants and is also quiet. The staff is always friendly and professional and the breakfast has nice choices including an omelet bar.

I did not feel that the location of the hotel was worth the price we paid. The room we received was outdated. The area around the hotel was not the safest as well and the parking was very limited. It was nice to be near Idaho falls but not for the price. Our sink did not work in our room and the room all together was old. The shower was dirty as well. We were placed near a laundry room which people used all night and morning with a door slamming, so that was inconsiderate of the staff. The breakfast bar was nice with the omelette bar. I wouldn't stay at this hotel again if we visit Idaho falls, stay somewhere with nicer rooms and staff that is more considerate when we are first responders and given a discount for the room but given the grossest room of the place.

We stayed at the Best Western Driftwood during our trip to Oregon, just before heading off to Craters of the Moon National Monument. It's located right along the Snake River on the Idaho Falls Riverwalk, which is a beautiful location. Check-in was super easy. Very helpful staff greeted us and pointed out the wi-fi password and breakfast area just off the lobby. They said the breakfast was not to be missed -- we would enjoy it. The motel offers park at your door, plus a second floor. We stayed on the first floor near the outdoor pool. Too cool to swim, though its heated they say. Our room was bright and cheerful, 2 Queen sized beds. It all looked recently remodeled. Fresh and modern. My wife loved the bed and said she had a great night's sleep. They offer a "pillow bar" in the lobby in case your pillow isn't the right firmness for you (ours was fine, but I've never come across this feature before so I thought I'd mention it). The room also had a refrigerator and a microwave. Both worked well. The AC worked well, though at night it was in the 50s, so not much to cool. Breakfast is highly recommended. On our stay they had a made-to-order omlette bar. Options included ham, cheese, onions, spinach, and mushrooms. The ladies making them were great personalities, too :-) Coffee was excellent and freshly made. Even my decaf was great -- its hard to find good decaf coffee. They also had fruit, toast, donuts, cereal, and cranberry and orange juice. Seating is a premium during busy times. So a very nice stay. After breakfast we took a walk along the riverwalk right across the street. I highly recommend it. A good view of the falls, nicely maintained grass and plantings, statuary, and even a swing. The motel offers bicycles to use, as well, though we didn't use them.

Hotel was very good. Could work on the breakfast experience. Bed was comfortable. Need to update gym equipment. Location and view was excellent. Close to food and a beautiful walk and bike ride around the river.

We traveled to Idaho Falls from Oregon to meet up with some good friends who live in Wyoming. The Driftwood Inn is situated along the Idaho Falls greenway, and in the heart of the city. Our suite had two beds (one private bedroom) and a river view, but the best part was being so close to so many great restaurants and shops. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful, and I will be back again some day!

This hotel sits across the street from the river and has wonderful views if you get a second floor room. There is a bike/walking path along the river that was perfect for an after dinner stroll. The staff was very friendly, we used the outdoor heated pool and the hot tub and the complimentary continental breakfast was very nice. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Very friendly staff, included made to order breakfast, we had a room with an excellent view of the waterfall and a beautiful spot to get out and walk the river. At the reasonable price we paid, it was an ideal setup!

We stayed here one night on our way to Northern Idaho and a night on our return trip to Arizona. The Driftwood Inn is right across the street from the falls and it is a beautiful area. The staff were very nice but there was a small glitch when we checked in on the way home. They told me at check in that my reservation was for the following night, turned out to be their mistake and gave us a bonus room that looked right out at the falls. Parking at this hotel is a little tight but it can be done. Best breakfast at a Best Western that we've had (eggs cooked to order) and brought to you table. We would definitely stay here again.

I did not have high expectations, as I know it is just a motel. But there were so many problems: toilet wouldn't flush; sink got drainage problem; AC was extremely noisy; there was no Wi-Fi signal; room got cigarette small, etc. What's more, we paid $250 a night, which was akin to highway robbery!

With all the lodging choices near downtown Idaho Falls, I choose the BW Driftwood Inn every time! Location, breakfast, river, greenbelt, and views...clean rooms, comfortable beds, outdoor pool, indoor hot tub, fitness room, and friendly staff makes it the BEST DAY EVER! :) <3

This room was disgusting. The smell was atrocious. Moldy smell throughout room. Sink leaked. Door knob broken. Paid for a view of the river instead got a view of a little bunky pool full of obnoxious kids. Only bright spot was lovely ladies cooking omelets for breakfast.

Great clean hotel, nice pool, great location. We've stayed in a lot of Best Westerns with our family and had great luck. Unfortunately, this time we were called two times with the last time threatening to kick us out for our children walking around and watching cartoons at a low volume. We really wanted to love this place and recommend to friends but will not be returning nor recommend to anyone with kids. With how family friendly Idaho Falls is I would have expected the same in this hotel. If you have kids that are normal and walk around and want to watch cartoons at a low volume look elsewhere.

Stayed in room with balcony. The view was beautiful and location perfect. Staff was helpful and friendly. Room updated. The AC unit a bit loud but during our second night, turned it off and opened the slider. Fell asleep to the breeze and sound of the water. Delicious breakfast as well.

Likes; the air conditioning worked, staff was pleasant and friendly and the hotel was located next to the river-walk. Swimming pool and workout rooms were good. Dislikes, the maid skipped cleaning our room. bathroom door wouldn't close, toilet seat wouldn't stay up (yes, I'm a guy). A/C was very noisy and kept the air dampish. The decor needs a major update. The place looks like they've made no improvement to the room since the 1990's.

Nice room that was quiet and clean. The hotel is just across the street from the falls. Enjoyed birding and watching people as I sat at a picnic table next to the falls. There are good restaurants just down the street. There is a paved walkway along the river that is level and good for walkers and wheelchairs.

My husband and I booked a few nights here on our road trip . This hotel is well kept and the rooms are clean. The price was also decent. It sits right across from the falls and is within walking distance to many restaurants. Perfect for what we were looking for during our stay. Staff was very friendly. We will definitely stay here again the next time we visit.

My wife and I were on a Mountain West driving tour of the National Parks and since Jackson and everything around Yellowstone was so darned expensive chose to drive a bit further after our visit and stay in Idaho Falls - we're glad we did. The Cotton Tree Inn was so incredibly cute on the outside and the interior decor matched. We loved that we were given a room in the courtyard (which I'm assuming was a bit older) which gave us the feel of traveling from a period some time ago. Loved all the flowers in the planters around the property. They also had bikes to use to take on the great trail along the snake river in town. The only reason I'm giving this a 4 is because the internet needs fixing (very spotty) and the toilets need to be Comfort Height. Other than that the hotel is located to several good eateries, right across the river from the Falls and great walking trail. Just a nice place to stay. Staff was incredibly nice as well.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Driftwood Inn Best Western in Idaho Falls. Wonderful staff, great breakfast, nice extras like bikes available to ride up and down the river. Beautiful part of town and close to lots of restaurants and historic downtown. Outdoor pool is nice and the indoor hot tub and fitness center were great!

Room had a funny smell, like mildew. Could still smell it on our bedclothes the next day after leaving. There were hairs in the tub. The room was dated and grungy looking. Some furniture was broken. Breakfast was good.

Stayed at this property one night and I do recommend this location. It is ideally located near the falls and a quick drive/somewhat walkable to downtown or chain stores such as Wal-Mart. There are some restaurants nearby too. The room was clean, though it did smell a bit moldy, but it wasn't a bother. The shower was great with the rainfall shower head. The parking lot was a bit tight, but we had no problem. The clientele at the property was great the weekend we stayed. Breakfast was pretty good too, with a little omelette bar, which was nice. The staff were all very friendly too! So, yes I recommend this hotel. It is an older property, but a good stay.

Incredible return to the pleasant days of staying in a motor lodge and being able to park right outside your door. Wonderful clean and comfortable room, fabulous bath products and great shower and tv. Also had desk space and a chair to relax in. Putting this stay over the top was a fresh omelet bar for breakfast made with real eggs (cracked right in front of us... yes, no bagged eggs here!) and a location that was right across from the spectacular falls and walking paths. We didn't get to use the outdoor pool, however it looked amazing too!

Great location right next to the river walk and waterfalls. Easy walking distance to a number of great restaurants. Rooms were super clean, somewhat small but updated and have everything you need. Wifi was fast and the area is quiet. Beds were very comfortable. Check in and check out was very quick. We will definitely return, Had a great stay.

This place is a real jem. First it's located across the street from the beautiful river waterfalls. Next, the staff are very friendly, and the rooms a quite comfortable. But the real surprise, is that in the morning they have a wonderfully cheerful lady making you fresh omelets for breakfast. The omelets are not huge, but she makes them right in front of you at the omelet bar. What a great place.

This is an older two story hotel. However, we found the rooms to be clean, tastefully decorated and very comfortable! Our room also looked out over the in-town Idaho Falls river framed with beautiful grassy park and pedestrian/bike pathway. Also convenient to the Snow Eagle Brewing and Grill restaurant.

Old, and it smells like that. Rooms on ground floor smells musty and overwhelming when you walk in. For the cost- very disappointing Front desk help isn't too sure which way is North Nice access to the river and falls, not a bad location

We thought this was a plus Best Western. It isn't…. The bed linens were dirty on one of the beds. Bed was terrible for comfort. The bathroom in general needs work. Shower door didn't close without a lot of effort and fear of breaking it! Not a very nice hotel stay even for one night! Don't bother to upgrade to a river view. You could get a view of a huge pine tree.

This property is old but rejuvenated, spotlessly clean, easy to find. We particularly enjoy the made-to-order breakfast served by creative, enthusiastic, personable kitchen staff. Comfortable bed, great location.

This is a beautifully maintained classic motel along the Riverwalk at Idaho Falls. Stroll the greenbelt walkway along the the river shoreline or cross the bridge and meander through the historic old Town area.

One night stay but it was rewarding. Excellent walking area, friendly service, clean rooms and excellent hot breakfast. Would recommend to others. Unfortunately due to Colvid19 we did not eat out at the many wonderful choices of restaurants within walking distance.

Beds were comfy, but we were a little too close to the road for complete quiet. It wasn't too bad though since we were able to keep the fan running to drown out some of the noise. We were also too close to the stairs going to the 2nd floor. Room was clean and well maintained.

I stay at this location when iam in town for work because they offer great prices and the rooms are very nice and the staff is Awesome. Love the breakfast omelet bar. This location is right across from the falls which is Beautiful and there is a walking path around the falls plus its walking distance to alot of restaurants.

I was upgraded to a suite as I asked for a room on the second floor. The room was clean and very quiet and looked out over the Snake River. All of the staff I encountered were very nice. I was please with the hot breakfast. You can order custom omelets. The breakfast room is set up for social distance and has sanitizer available. I was happy to have this little bit of normality come back to travel.

My go to place to stay in Idaho Falls ..not far from decent places to eat including the # 1 place in the Falls currently...right across the street from the Snake River which has a pretty cool Riverwalk with ducks and geese if you have any questions ask T at the front desk

This property is amazing.. beautiful area with lots of restaurants nearby. Fabulous huge hottub. They love dogs here and great them with a treat and cute letter also only 10$ pet fee . Great hot .. made to order breakfast. They have a pillow bar where you can pick out your perfect pillow and beautiful room decor.. Welcoming staff.

Enjoyed our stay here. Since we were traveling at night, they let us check in in the late morning so we could sleep through the day and leave late that evening. Great looking room with a view, plenty of parking, and very clean and bright. Staff was very helpful - even gave our car a jump! Would recommend and stay here again.

We were traveling through and I called about 10-15 hotels. Some did not accept pets and others were charging $75-$100 in pet fee only. Best Western was awesome to deal with and all were so nice. Only negative was found a used Copenhagen pouch on our floor. Otherwise outstanding!

This is my 2nd stay at this property, and it didn't disappoint. It is within walking distance of downtown shopping and restaurants, and situated with a beatiful view of the river. It is extremely clean and quiet, iwth a comfy bed. Top notch staff. I missed breakfast this time, but it was great on my previous visit

COVID-19 precautions not followed. Very nice location and hotel for the price. However, I was very upset to see two housekeepers in my area not wearing face coverings. This was very upsetting. What other COVID-19 precautions are they not following.

Beautiful view of the waterfall. Extremely nice staff. Very clean! Very quiet and accessible. Even though I was there on business... I prefer to have a home like experience at my stays when I am away from home... this fits the bill!

Beautiful hotel, well kept up in a central location. Amazing views of the river walk and temple right from the window. Hot breakfast was good. Updated shower with a rainfall shower head! Heater warmed us right up when it was snowing outside. If we make our way through Idaho Falls again, we'll definitely be staying here.

A great location along the river in Idaho Falls. Nice clean room, comfortable bed and pillows, good size tv. A pretty good breakfast considering the chalenges of covid-19. I would stay here again next time.

Never had a problem here decent places to eat close by RIGHT on the river with a walkway so a person can go for a stroll for quite a way during this COVID crap every place I know has had to make all kinds of adjustments but you can still get a hot breakfast here

Unfortunately it was too late to cancel my reservation when one of my co-workers talked to a less then helpful person when trying to make their reservation. The only thing this hotel has going for it it the location, the parking lot is tiny, and good luck if you've got any type of oversized vehicle or if your pulling a trailer. Very loud ac unit in my room. The fitness center is still closed (I guess putting sanitizer is there is too complicated for management) The laundry room is disgusting, lots of dead bugs in there (wiping the machines is too complicated for housekeeping) Room 83 has a very bad smell, when one of my other co-workers (it was too late for him to cancel as well) complained he was told "oh well" Lots of other little things make it highly unlikely that I'll return here in the future.

The Inn, although I hesitate to call it that because I usually associate inns with beautiful experiences, was ok. The room was kinda clean with pealing paint and dirt in the corners and a spider residing in the bathroom. Overall I give it 3 stars. The breakfast and I pause at calling what I was served breakfast, was horrible. Not ok, not passable, not adequate, but horrible. My ten yr old in comparison cooks a better egg. 0 stars. I seriously cannot figure out all the positive reviews. Are people used to eating cardboard and living in dirty houses??

Don't let the back of the hotel turn you away. We turned down a street too soon and found the hotel from the back side. I was a bit distressed until we approached the front end. They are next door to a hotel that is run down and closed which does not make a good first impression. The hotel is very nice with a beautiful front entry and the view is to die for! The staff at check in really made me feel special as an elite member (first time for that, guess I finally earned enough points to reach that level) The location is PRIME, right next to the river. There is a really nice river walk you can enjoy and close to dining and a pub. It is also close to the Friendship garden (beautiful Japanese garden along the river front). Honestly this is one of the nicest hotels I have ever been in. Our room was upstairs and we had a river view. The room had a small peekaboo balcony which we enjoyed the view of the river. The mattress was very comfortable and we had lots of pillows. The shower was tiled very nice and the bathroom had nice little nooks to put items in. Lots of space to put stuff. It also had a nice little butler counter with microwave, fridge and coffeemaker. The breakfast was good with an omelette option and lots of side options to choose from . Unfortunately, my low carb diet only allowed me to have the omelet. My only complaint was a little noisy room cooler. The staff was great at check in and same person at check out. (That does not happen often) I highly recommend this hotel option. Can't go wrong with a ground floor either. Just one note, they do not have an elevator so if you don't like stairs or have lots to lug ask for a ground floor room.

I have no idea why this hotel receives such good reviews. I spent a night here during the pandemic when my dog was hospitalized nearby. I paid top dollar for this room based on glowing reviews. My room smelled strongly of mildew and mold. The front window was on the parking lot and the back window on a brick wall. The furniture looked to be about 30 years old. I kept the windows open because of Covid, and there was noise from the train tracks all night long. The front desk staff person was wearing her mask around her neck rather than over her nose and mouth. The lobby was crowded with unmasked non-distancing clients at breakfast and no precautions were being taken, so I left. Very disappointing, especially for the price.

We had stayed here before when we came thru Idaho Falls. It is an excellent location and the staff are very friendly and competent. The rooms are clean and nice. I would stay here again if I come back to town.

Love the location; right across a small street from the Snake River. Great view of the river; quiet part of town. I would stay at this hotel again should I visit Idaho Falls in the future. By the way, the bed was great. Best hotel bed I have ever slept in.

This hotel is located right on the riverfront parkway with restaurants in walking distance. They offer complimentary bikes which are super fun to ride. This area has spectacular sunsets! The hotel is cozy and the breakfast is great. Even with the Covid restrictions of having to make a reservation and having the attendants serve you the items, it works well. We accidentally left behind a cell phone and I have to commend the integrity of the staff who notified us that it was found before we even realized it! Great location with easy access on and off the freeway. Our only issue was the bed was small in the one bedroom unit and the A/C wasn't working. The staff brought in a portable fan to help but it was extremely loud. But it had a full kitchen which was HUGE and great for playing games and having snacks.

This place is wonderfully located directly across the street from the Snake River and the Idaho Falls. They are very well maintained and the staff seems to always be friends. The draw backs are beds that like sleep on concrete. Very hard mattresses. The lack of shutting out light from outside needs help. The noise between floors is not good. There was obviously a family with young children tromping all over that sounded like a stampede. Even on calling that room the guests didn't care. Would have reported to the managers, but didn't feel it was worth it. The to go breakfast could use some help. Last year the breakfast was a highlight for us, and this one left a lot to be desired. Very small portions.

This place was easy to find & location is great if you have a dog. It's a typical no frill hotel & clean. However, the BEST part is that it's literally across the street from a grassy park. It's a wonderful place to walk. The river & waterfall is right there & the whole loop is about 4 miles (if you don't cross the main street to where the Japanese friendship garden is). They are also the only hotel I've encountered so far during Covid that takes RSVP when you check in & let you sit inside to eat a warm typical American breakfast. They space you out & there's only about 4 tables at a time. Best free & only breakfast provided on our whole trip (stayed at 7 hotels). The town also has a snow cone & Mexican corn truck!

Due to Covid, the gym and hot tub are closed. Breakfast is reservation only. Server brings food to you. No room servicing during your stay. No liners in trash cans. Average bed comfort. 7 out of 10 for cleanliness. Crumbs in bed sheets and hair in bathroom.

The BW Driftwood Inn was a trip back in time. This motor inn right on the river reminded me of my youth. You pull up to your door and walk right in. The room was clean and easily accessible. We traveled with our dog and there was plenty of room for all of us. The bathroom was a little small where the toilet and shower were located, but the room itself was spacious. The front desk personnel were absolutely the best!

This was one of our favorite hotels of our cross country road trip. When I booked the property I was concerned it would be in a "downtown" location--difficult to get to and noisy. In fact, the hotel was in a perfect location. It was easy to get to, very quiet, and in an absolutely beautiful spot. Everything in the room was perfect. The room was spacious, as was the bathroom. Bedding was great as well. It had obviously been updated recently. I typically hate hotels with exterior corridors but this one worked out great. The views of the river were lovely--even a nice view of the LDS Temple. It was nice to walk along the river and stretch our legs after a long day of driving. Very nice parks along the water. Several nice restaurants within walking distance. The hotel did offer a hot breakfast but we did not avail ourselves of it. To enforce social distancing you had to make a reservation for breakfast. We did not want to eat inside and were told we could not take breakfast to go. We would recommend this property to anyone traveling through the area.

This is an older hotel in a nice location right next to the river, where there is a pleasant walkway. The place needs some upgrading. The room was fairly large and well lit with a small, noisy mini-fridge with freezer, a small microwave, and a table and two chairs. The bed was comfortable. The heater worked well but woke me up at night. The bathroom was very small but well lit. There was little counter space in the bathroom, but more lighted counter space outside of the bathroom. The shower head was good. The staff delivered a hot breakfast with eggs to our room; we had ordered it in advance. Except for the fruit, the food was very good.

The staff here is wonderful! Made me feel like part of the family! My coffeemaker was broke and they immediately offered to grab another for me and gave me coffee from the lobby as well. The room was clean and you can't beat the view of the falls right across the street! I will definitely stay again!

Don't get me wrong... this motels holds a monopoly card being next to the snake river... as well as another brand name motel.... but that doesn't mean customer service should be crappy.... booked thru AAA and was charge an hour before arrival to the motel... was charge a second time upon check-in... I was told this is normal.... no it's not normal!! A authorization is still pending on my credit card almost a week later!! I've stayed at many motels and have never been charged twice like this.... rooms were extremely small... but nice.... parking lot is a nightmare... extremely Small and dangerous... a complete clutter.... breakfast was a complete disaster as well... upon arrival I reserved a time for breakfast in which I went down there at my time and asked if I could take a plate back to my room.... they said no but that they had to go bags to take... thinking it was the complete breakfast which was being served I was surprised to find a old muffin, apple and a water bottle for my to go breakfast... reallly?? Next time I will choose the other brand name motel in the immediate area.... one of my worst experiences with a best western in my many travels...

Staff were great at this hotel very friendly and go above and beyond to keep you happy..also rooms were clean..breakfast was very nice had resturant style service and the ladys were very on top of getting you your items......overall just a awesome place and great views

Not ADA accessible, no elevator, and all of this not advertised on their own website. Parking is horrible. If you don't care about accessibility then the hotel is very nice and the staff is accommodating.

My husband and I spent 2 nights while we were visiting friends. I loved being near the falls and the walking paths. The room was clean and the bed really comfortable. We will definitely come back next time we are in town.

The hotel is in a great location right across from the river. The surrounding building are not that nice but they are working on them. Close to many restaurants. The breakfast was very good we only wish the pool and hot tub were open.

The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Loved the river view. I will be staying here again. There is a path along the river that I wished I had been able to walk but due to time was not able to.

Outstanding motorhotel with wonderful views and services. Rooms and building were of a vintage age but meticulously maintained which all added to the wonderful experience. The location is amazing, being right beside the Snake River, with parks and walkways. Regretted not having a little more time, and opportunity to take a couple of their available guest bicycles for a spin. Would definitely like to return there some day. Highly recommend this accommodation!

We had to help my 90 year old mom moved out of her house to Arizona with us. The staff was excellent and very helpful . They always asked if they could be of assistance. The room was very clean and fully stocked with everything we could possibly need.

We drove up to Idaho Falls to attend a friend's wedding. It was during the onset of the covid-19 shut down and we were concerned about going anywhere public including staying at a hotel. When we arrived we were greeted buy a friendly young man give us our keys and also let us know when they would be serving a light dinner! We were not aware that that was available and we're very pleased about having that as well as a full breakfast the next morning. The views were great the room was clean the breakfast was great and and that evening they close down the dining room due to the worry of exposing their guests to the virus. However they provided a wrapped breakfast tray to be taken to a room the next morning. We enjoyed our stay very much and would stay there again.

First, I must admit that I am extremely picky and couldn't find one opportunity for improvement. Second, all staff members were welcoming, polite, cheerful, and accommodating. Third, we expected the standard BW breakfast options, which were already better than average , but to discover a made-to-order omelette bar where a most pleasant lady crafts eggs however one wants? Wow! Fourth, especially for an older facility, amazing job on the renovations, blending modern amenities with a retro environment (not to mention, spotless!). Kudos to the owners, managers, and all the staff for going above and beyond to welcome weary travelers. We will be back!

From the time of arrival, to the time we checked out, the staff took pride in their jobs, were courteous, helpful. The room was clean, up to date and pleasant. The staff had turned the lights on and the temperature to a warm but not hot temperature in the 5 rooms we booked. Very welcoming. The gym and hot tub was lit up and welcoming (although we were late checking in and did not use those facilities). In the morning, the breakfast was excellent, the staff happy and were great cooks. There was a wide variety of foods for everyone in our group, from home made oatmeal to toasts, to pancakes and waffles...not to mention the egg area where we were cooked omlettes and scrambled eggs. I would highly recommend this location to anyone.

Every time we have stayed here it has been a very enjoyable stay. The made to order omelets always are top notch. Hat's off to the ladies that make the omelets. The homemade banana bread is also always fantastic. Your stay here will always be enjoyable.

We stayed in thr whirl pool suite. It was beautiful! Had yht cozy can feel, with beautiful wood finishings. This is my new favorite Best Western Room. Our room overlooked the Snake River, and the Falls with a stunning view of the Temple!

This hotel is a rare gem! Comfortable beds and quiet rooms. They have an amazing breakfast which includes an omelette bar!!! Another bonus is that they serve soup in the evenings! The staff was very accommodating! Can't wait to stay here the next time I am in town! Thank you!

Best hotel that we stayed in this year.We have traveled extensively throughout the last year. Most of the hotels are Best Western , when they're available. This was by far one of the nicest room, definitely the best breakfast, and the staff was extremely friendly.

The room was comfortable as is usually the case at Best Western. The location by the Snake River is a plus but the omelette bar at breakfast was the icing on the cake. Excellent stay. I would stay there again.

This property has been renovated. Very friendly staff! Eggs-cellent breakfast!! An omelette bar! Goodies for the kids! A pool in the summer. Right by the Snake river and Idaho Falls- water falls. Beautiful! Walking distance to down town during summer months.

I travel quite a bit and I like to stay at Best Western because I feel, that for the most part, it's a good value for the dollar. I have stayed here previously without any issues however, this time, it was not the case. We rented two rooms for one night and both had heater/air conditioning units that should replaced. They made so much noise each time the unit turned on that it was impossible to sleep and turning it off wasn't an option because it was 9 degrees outside at night. Also, this Best Western has terrible pillows-lumpy and so thick that the average size person cannot use them without waking up with neck problems. I do want to say that the room was clean and the front desk personnel were friendly.

Wonderful facilities. Just the two of us and our canine companion. Best ever- rooms are very spacious, shower was fantastic. Breakfast features an omelet bar and fresh home made banana bread. Soup bar and cookies every evening. Very nice location in the river. This be a regular stop for us in the future.

What a pleasant and friendly place to take a rest. Excellent location, friendly staff felt totally at home. The rooms are in great shape , beautiful near the river, you can hear the water tumbling over the rapids. Breakfeast was prepared by a friendly staff member.

We had never stayed at the Driftwood Inn previously, but decided to stay for a night during a recent stopover in Idaho Falls and we're happy that we did. Though the property in general is decidedly showing some age, we found our stay quite pleasant. On arrival, our check-in was completed professionally and pleasantly (by Jesse). Our assigned room was clean and equipped with modern furnishings, but it could definitely benefit from some updating to replace outdated features like wood paneling, etc. The hotel is quite spread out and is nicely located across from the river, so access is easy, as a result. Parking is adequate, though could be a little constricted depending upon your room assignment. The provided breakfast was among the best we've had. Many hotel chains provide breakfast nowadays, but the breakfast provided by the Driftwood Inn was notable for its variety and fresh made omelettes. A negative is the limited amount of breakfast seating area which would likely be insufficient on busy mornings. We'd consider staying again at the Driftwood Inn on future stopovers in Idaho Falls.

We love this particular hotel but on our recent stay left behind 2 dress shirts. It took awhile to locate them as they had been improperly tagged under a different room. Besides that I was the one repeatedly calling them after no follow up. Anyways yes, they will send it through their third party return service for $30! We only live an hour away! Needless to say we will be driving back out to claim our shirts.

This is a beautiful place to stay. Right along the river. The staff was super friendly and went out of their way to help us. They gave us information everytime we asked them something. We knew nothing of the area. In the morning one of the staff was cooking omelettes fresh and asked us how we wanted ours done. A total surprise. Beautiful spot.

First of all I want to say "thank you" for the Best Stay Ever! I have used many hotel brands in my career and I truly have to say my stay at this Best Western was OUTSTANDING! The staff was accommodating to no end, the room was super clean and fully stocked. We plan another trip the end of February and we will certainly use this facility in our final travels to our new home.

This hotel was nice stop from Montana to Yuma Arizona. The warm soup/potato bar and warm baked cookies was a pleasant treat after a long day of traveling.The breakfast especially made to order omelettes was a great send off in the morning.

When a hotel's ownership and management cares, it shows clearly. Best Western Driftwood is a perfect example of this. Despite the property being a bit older and surrounded by brand-new chain hotel options, the care and upkeep of the property is evident. Guest rooms feel homey yet modern. The gym has free weights, cardio equipment, and a weight machine. And the staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. However, the best part might be the breakfast area. Who would guess that a Best Western would offer made-to-order omelettes in addition to an egg dish of the day, waffles, oatmeal bar, etc. The care in the appearance of the breakfast area is evident too. Our 1-night stay was perfect respite, and there as no doubt where we would stay during our next time through Idaho Falls.

We often stop at this hotel. There have been recent renovations and our room had new tile and furniture. I like the makeup counter outside the bathroom and the full length mirror on the bathroom door. Breakfast is included but I don't think it's very good. Maybe stick with cereal or yogurt. Coffee was not good either in my opinion.

We drove 900 miles that day and came in late. We found a nice, quiet, warm, clean, cozy room with a very comfortable bed. In the morning we enjoyed a fresh breakfast. The omelet bar was a wonderful addition to it. Thanks Best Western for helping make our trip enjoyable.

We stayed here on our way home. Wonderful place, rooms clean and staff very friendly. There was complimentary hot soup and baked potatoes on after 5 and some warm cookies also. Breakfast was a feast with breakfast burritos or any other kind of eggs you wanted along with hot sausages with gravy, cereals, oatmeal, pancakes waffles. Oh, it was way to much. The hotel was a little older but it was 1 night and the staff were very nice. Would stay here again if we are ever driving through. I beleive there is a Tesla charging station in Idaho Falls too if that helps to change your mind. The pool was closed because it was winter but the view out front over the falls was fantastic.

Very friendly staff and comfortable, well-appointed room made this a most pleasant stay. Breakfast was great with a lady overseeing who was very nice. We stay here any time we are in the area and have never been disappointed.

I absolutely love this Best Western! Besides allowing pets they have a Breakfast Buffet with made to order eggs, bake potatoes, soup and cookies in the evening all included in the price. Also on the River Walk with rooms facing the Walk!!!

Really nice location near the falls. Quiet, scenic, dead end street. Lovely to walk the trails on a nice day. All the rooms we have had over the years have been excellent. Staff is very welcoming and helpful. At 5pm they bring out soup, baked potatoes and cookies. No need to go to a restaurant unless you want too. Love the Omelette station at breakfast. One of the best hotel breakfasts ever.

Enjoyed our stay here, the staff was wonderful especially the breakfast staff. Room was good, view of the falls was nice. Overall a nice stop for the price, and right off of the falls downtown. I would stay here again.

I loved the location. I loved seeing the temple right out my window. The waterfalls across the street with the frozen water.. I loved the walk in shower. Wish I could of taken it home. I liked the walk way along the river that was across from the hotel. The location was easy to get to and getting around was easy.

Overall very good rooms, quite and very clean. I liked the fact that the TV remote was cleaned or sanitized. Rooms are old and dated, need some updating. However, a great place to stay. Location is great.

What a nice surprise after a long day driving, to discover there was food in the lobby. Since we were in Idaho, there was baked potato, soup, and cookies. After we had checked in, we got a call in our room, asking if everything was alright. A nice touch, and everything was just fine

Room was clean and had reasonable amenities. The one important thing is that in my books this is not a hotel - this is a motel. Nothing wrong with that but all the suites are individually accessible from outside and away from the check in building. Good value and good breakfast included.

We stayed here recently while traveling through with our puppy. We had a lovely room that looked out onto the river and just a short walk to an outside space for puppy pit stops. The room was neat and tidy. The bathroom was very clean. I did get to utilize the huge tub and that was an awesome treat. I wish I could have beautiful eyes. The shower but I did not have a hair dryer with me and I didn't see one in the room which was a negative. Kind surprising because most hotels have hair dryers in the room. A few of the lights ( floor lamp and desk lamp) could have used some TLC and the bathroom vanity was a little shabby looking. Not a deal-breaker but really should be taken care of the near future. However the luxurious bedding and very very comfortable king-size bed certainly made up for those other minor things. I do think the breakfast and omelet bar would have been delightful however the 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. was a little inconvenient for us. It would have good nice to have a 10 a.m. cut off time. I was greeted warmly both times I entered the lobby and we would stay here again. The location is great.

Pet friendly, clean room, great little park to walk the dog right across the street with room door direct to outside! Hot soup and cookies available when we arrived as an unexpected bonus....but even better was the made to order fresh eggs and fresh omelette bar along with a large variety of other breakfast choices. The staff were exceptionally friendly and made us feel welcome. We will add this hotel to our list of places to stay!

We'll go the extra mile to stay at this Best Western again. From check in with the offer of soup &/or baked potato to comfy room with all the amenities to delicious breakfast with fresh omelettes made to order, this hotel has it all.

This is our favorite motel. The location is beautiful, across from the river and falls. We like that it is pet friendly, as we travel with cats when we head south for the winter. The room has a microwave and a fridge, and comfortable chairs and a large table. The rooms are much larger than other properties that we have stayed. The staff is very friendly, and seem to genuinely enjoy working there. As a bonus, the included breakfast is the best we have found, even including a fresh omelet station.

Amazing staff, extras like home cooked omelets in the morning and hot soup and baked potatoes along with the regular cookies at night. Bikes available in the summer to ride along the River. An older best western that has been refurbished. Rooms are smaller than the new hotels, but very nicely done. Highly recommend this motel.

My parents used to make reservations at this type of hotel 55 years ago, but I've NEVER seen a facility as well- remodeled as this one! Completely remodeled -- new furniture, upholstery, carpet, quartz/marble/granite, windows, caulk. some caulk/grout is aged, but not crumbling or peeling. I am just AMAZED! Windows, shades, door & locks, drywall compound, paint -- all completely new. I've never seen an older facility so nicely restored as this one. My only "complaint" would be that there is no blow dryer in the room.

One of best places to stay when traveling with my dog. Was not given a second class room because of pet. Very clean! Staff was excellent! View was terrific, right on walking path. Will definitely make this my go to place to stay when in area.

On our first time here we weren't very happy when we drove up to this hotel. But this is now our third stay here on our way through. This is an older place but they have done a great job updating it. It is immaculate and smells so clean. When you come into the lobby the front desk staff stand up To greet you and are so welcoming. Because we had stayed before they upgraded us to a beautiful suite. The room was wonderful and the view amazing. We went across the street and walked along the river just to stretch. It was cool so the walk was quick but and extra provided by the hotel is bike that are available. It is a was off the highway into the town but it is on a quiet street and makes the extra few minutes worth it. For supper they had soup and baked potatoes available along with cookies. The breakfast is the best included breakfast we have experienced. Besides the cereal and waffles you might find at others, there is hot porridge, pancakes with several syrups, home made banana bread, but the best thing is staff make omelettes to your specifications or scrambled eggs. There is an outdoor swimming pool but an indoor hot tub and an exercise room. They offer you pillow options!

Even being in the heart of townb this place was comfortable and quiet. The breakfast here was the best free one I have had. Excellent staff. Only negative was that the cleaning chemicals were far too strong which affected allergies.

What a beautiful setting across from the falls! Staff was very friendly and sincere, decor is very pleasant and the breakfast was just super. We will stay there again if we make it back to Idaho Falls!

When you walk into the lobby of this hotel and then into your room, you won't smell harsh chemical smells from chemical cleansers. They clean without harsh chemicals and the products that they place in the rooms are natural, without harsh chemicals. I am very sensitive to chemicals and their smells and sometimes can't tolerate them, but this hotel is sensitive to my needs and to yours!

I travel for business weekly. This week I found myself in Idaho Falls...again. I was so happy with my first stay a year ago I booked again, this time specifically requesting a river view King room. I WAS NOT disappointed. The view was beautiful. Local trees kept me from a better view, but it did not take away from the beauty. The room was spacious enough for 1 with room to move around quite freely. The shower gave me ideas for my own remodel. Best shower I have had in a hotel. With it's large main shower head, 2 extra shower jets to hit your back and a shower wand if you have hard to reach bits. ;-) I very much hope I get sent to this area again for work, next time I may request the room at the northern most part of the hotel. It looks like single story room and dang close to the river, not the falls. But that's so close anyways. You CAN NOT GO WRONG! The prices are GREAT!!! Don't be dumb! Just book here!!

I stay here whenever I'm in the area for work and have never had a bad experience. Staff is always friendly, the rooms are always clean and the breakfast bar is one of the best ones I've had at any Best Western I've stayed at.

Our stay was one of the best we have ever had- Nice people, good food, clean facility- The employees gave an overall team feeling and were anxious to help. Wasn't just a job to them. No complaints at all.

I visit Idaho Falls several times a year on business. I have tried several others of the local hotels. Always come back to the Driftwood. My room was large, and faced the Snake River. I didn't need that much space - but it felt luxurious. I'm a morning person, and love my breakfast. This breakfast satisfies my soul.

We stayed at BW Driftwood on our way from Yellowstone to Jackson. This hotel is beautifully landscaped and decorated and overlooks the Idaho Falls Riverwalk. Our room was clean and newly decorated with new carpet, paint and tile in the bathroom. Great shower pressure, toiletries provided along with coffee pot, hair dryer, fridge and microwave. Very friendly staff!!! Coffee, tea and cider station. Dinner of baked potatoes and split pea soup was included as well as full breakfast with Hillary cooking eggs and omelettes to order. Beautiful Outdoor pool also overlooks the river. Separate building with hot tub, dressing room and fitness center outfitted with stationary bike, treadmill, elliptical, free weights and weight machine. With bicycles available, Pet friendly, low rates and Walking distance to downtown there is no reason not to spend your nights and days here

This was our overnight stop on the drive from Salt Lake City to West Yellowstone. From the check in at the front desk with I believe Priscilla very friendly and helpful to opening the door to a very clean and well appointed room And ending our visit with the cooked to order breakfast and very smooth check out complete with a complimentary road trip bag of banana water and granola bar it was just a great visit. Breakfast was outstanding. Great location! Directly across the road from the river where there is a wonderful walking path. Also, you can easily walk to a brewery restaurant it was a great place to have dinner. Only suggestion would be that when you make your reservation if you have any issue with staircase sure to request a first floor room.

Our room was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The room was updated and attractive. The breakfast was very enjoyable and delicious. There were plenty of options to choose from, but the "Egg Chef" was a great addition.

We have traveled very year for nearly forty years and have found that Best Western is by far the most dependable in their service and professionalism. We have stayed at the Driftwood Inn for a number of those years and always found them to be honestly concerned for our well being and experience. I would recommend this location highly.

We were on an extensive road trip and had spent several nights in different hotels. The Driftwood Driftwood Inn exceeded all others. Friendly staff, very clean and comfortable rooms, good location and an awesome breakfast with made to order eggs and omelettes, and homemade banana bread and cinnamon rolls! I recommend this hotel highly.

The hotel is conveniently located across the street from the Snake river. It has a nice walking trail along the river with benches and picnic tables. We actually bought dinner to go from a Mexican restaurant down the street and ate it on one of the picnic tables. The hotel was pet friendly ($10 extra) and it included breakfast.

Very pleasant experience. Check in was quick and easy. Room is right across from falls. It is a motel. the outside was being updated on the second floor. Room was a King with kitchenette. Great space. Bed was good. Shower was great. Breakfast had a made to order option. Slightly overpriced but was still an overall great experience.

Excellent location right across the street from the Greenbelt and River. Very nice to walk and view the falls. We paid a little extra for a Riverview room which was totally worthwhile, had a sliding glass door a with little balcony to hear the falls and view the river. Convenient for walking to restaurants. The service was excellent, they emailed prior to our arrival to welcome us and after, thanking us for our stay. They have a made to order omelet bar for breakfast, we didn't have time to indulge but did take a piece of their homemade banana bread with coffee to go. Yum!

Outstanding staff; excellent bed/shower, clean, comfortable rooms. Breakfast in the cozy breakfast room includes a made-to-order omelette bar as well as fresh banana bread staffed by friendly, cheerful food managers making guests feel welcome and cared about. Parking is a little problematic since the hotel is consistently full but it's manageable. Located right across from the river walk, the area is absolutely beautiful. A significant number of guests are frequent users which speaks to the quality of the Driftwood.

The hotel was clean,great location and all staff was friendly. The room were large and clean. Beds and pillows were fresh and comfortable. The weight room and spa were open 24 hours which was great since the majority of the time we could use them were late at night. Breakfast in the morning was hot and always lots to choose from.

This hotel offers a beautiful view of Snake River. Right across the street from the Greenbelt, if you like a scenic walk. We really enjoyed the breakfast selection: make your own pancakes and waffles, made-to-order eggs.

Hotel need to remodel their bathrooms, very 50's-60's feeling. Price was high for the accommodations. The area is beautiful but best western needs to keep up with the times.The best thing about the stay was the omelette bar.

The bed sucked. You rolled to the middle. The AC sounded like an airplane taking off ALL NIGHT LONG! The shower still ran out of the faucet so I was ankle deep in water. Breakfast wasn't bad. Friendly staff. Definitely not worth the high price. We've stayed in places that cost less than half of what this cost and were nicer.

We only stayed one night due to a busy schedule, but had wanted at least one more day. The room was very nice and clean and the breakfast was overwhelming with individual egg menu. Surroundings were next to Snake river with several short walking trails.

We stayed here on our way to a wedding in Montana. They room was spacious, clean and had a great view of the river. There is a make to order omelette station for breakfast, which was an added bonus. They have bikes you can use to ride along the trail if you'd like! I would definitely stay here again.

Loved the location right across from the Greenbelt. Hotel offered bikes so we did a ride around the Greenbelt. Such a cool. area & downtown was close by. The free breakfast included an omelet station was delicious. The clerks were friendly & helpful plus there were free chocolate chip cookies at check in. Wish I had brought my swim suit to try out the hot tub. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Rooms were very small. Barely had room for my suitcases. The main problem was the shower. It only came out at 1/2 and The tub filled with water. I paid a huge price for this substandard room and was very disappointed.

My family and I recently stayed at the Best Western Driftwood Inn in Idaho Falls as a stopping point between Yellowstone and Salt Lake City. We choose the suite with the kitchenette and extra bedroom. The room was extremely dated and worn. There were stains on the carpets and kitchen floor. There was a 10" by 14" hole cutout in the closet wall for the bathroom whirlpool tub electrical connection. The kitchen area had sticky counters and I would not even consider preparing food there. There were scrapes and marks on the walls. The lighting was dim. Although every staff member we met was extremely polite and helpful, they did not make up for the condition of room and the facilities overall. The breakfast was good with a custom egg station and the pool was nice. The location is directly across from the Falls and river walk. With the abundance of other hotels in the area, this hotel needs to improve their facilities or get out of the game before they become a seedy operation. I WOULD NOT STAY HERE AGAIN.

This hotel is opposite the river. We had a suite with a complete kitchen.There is an outside access to the breakfast room and the swimming pool and exercise room, which was fine in summertime. Breakfast was in a bright sunny room with large windows. At breakfast, there were made to order eggs which were very good. Our bed was comfortable and had choices of pillows. With our BW discount this room cost us $155 USD.

I can't say enough about the staff at the Best Western Driftwood Inn. I travel all over the NW and this place is by far the best. I walked into the front office and both of the people working greeted me with smiles. Answered all of my questions, give me some good advice on dining, and shared a aaa battery with me. My mouse for my laptop died. And the room was very comfortable. Then i woke up and had the best free breakfast. Made to order omelettes and eggs! So if you are travelling through Idaho Falls I highly recommend the Best Western Driftwood Inn.

Great value. It isn't fancy, it's comfortable. Great view of the river. Walking distance to lots of restaurants. Bed was super comfortable. Kitchenette was really convenient. Breakfast was great-homemade banana bread and an egg station!

In a historic building located riverside we had to park on the street. Guests parked on both sides of the driveway making maneuvering very difficult. Pick up trucks didn't fit in the car spaces. No luggage racks in the room. Great beds as always in a BW property, but too many inconveniences for another stay at this location for us.

We stayed here this week. Our room was large and had very nice furnishings. Plus our room was on the second floor and looked out onto the Snake River. In the morning I grabbed a cup of coffee from the breakfast area and sat outside our room watching the river and the people walking along it. Really nice. This is a very nice area and the Riverwalk is just across from the motel. You couldn't be much closer. Breakfast was excellent. They have someone that cooks an omlete to your specs and brings it to your table. Plus they have all the other breakfast items you would expect. And they have bicycles that you can use to ride along the Riverwalk. This is a great place. Don't forget to give the breakfast cook a tip.

We asked for a room overlooking the falls and river. It was perfect. I think the price is higher for the room, but worth it for us. However, no elevator, so you need to lug your luggage up the stairs. Room roomy, fantastic shower, comfy bed, fridge and microwave. The staff at desk were very friendly and helpful. We we able to use the bikes they had available as a courtesy. We loved riding around the falls and river as well as enjoying the large pathway for walking and running. Breakfast was "made to order" by a very cheery, helpful girl. Homemade banana bread, lots of variety. They even offered homemade cinnamon rolls! This is an older place, but updated. The location and walk out balcony were perfect. They allow dogs, which is a negative for us, but they were in the rooms that were near the parking spaces on lower level. We didn't hear a lot of barking and noise from below. We recommend this place and plan to stay here again in the future.

We really were only here overnight so didn't get to see much of the hotel. Our room was small but clean and comfortable. The river walk just across the street was very pretty. The staff was kind and considerate. The breakfast was good with made to order eggs. The parking however is very tight and limited. I would stay here again.

We loved staying the BW on the river. The location was so pretty. The room was large and the staff was friendly. The breakfast was very good, but the room was tight and hard to move around the food. Our only complaint was that we had no table, chairs and coffee table. We had to bring in our coolers to use them to eat on.

The hotel is located right across from the falls and the park alongside the river. Great for a walk or running. The indoor pool is rather small, but there is an outdoor pool too. There is a live cook preparing eggs to your liking.

I have no complaints and my standards are very high when it comes to lodging accommodations. I highly recommend this property and would stay here again and again. It's one of the best hotels we've ever stayed in. Most of all and most importantly, the staff is very, very nice, helpful, and accommodating.

Good solid property, nice outdoor pool, and all right across the street from the Idaho Falls river walk. Gorgeous falls and scenery, and makes the location a fabulous choice. Would definitely stay here again.

We were passing through and this turned out to be a favorite stop. They have bikes to borrow and it is across the street to the river walk at the Falls. We also enjoyed a great breakfast w eggs made to order. Definately a refreshing spot.

They thought of every details to make our stay so special! The breakfast was wonderful, the pool was clean, they provided bikes to use on the greenbelt located steps from our room, and warm cookies each day. It was a business trip turned into a wonderful vacation!

Stayed at this hotel on recent vacation. Location along the river is beautiful and would recommend a walk in the evening. Rooms are spacious and clean with comfortable beds. Breakfast is very good with omelette bar. Outdoor pool is nice on a hot day.

Great BW and easy to find. Very welcoming when we arrived. Clean, spacious room and quiet. Liked our walk out room to where our bikes were parked. Easy to make sure they were safe through the night. Great team running the breakfast area making fresh egg however desired. Great experience!

Very comfortable and well-equipped room. Friendly and accommodating staff. Loved the location, across the road from the Snake River greenway and falls and easy walking distance to restaurants. One caution—if stairs are a problem, request a ground floor room. There are no elevators. We would definitely stay there again.

The room I had was an upgrade in their newer wing. It was both very large and comfortable with refrigerator, stove, and a jacuzzi. It was very nice and comfortable with an excellent king size bed. However, on prior visits I have had a room in the older section which was very small and had older features. It was adequate, but less desirable than I would like.

I was allowed to check in quite early. Penelope at the front desk was so helpful and friendly. After a poop experience earlier at a different hotel, this was a breath of fresh air. The accommodations were perfect. My room had a great view and was perfectly cleaned and prepared. They even had the television remote in a sanitized slip. Amazing hospitality. Their made to order breakfast was delicious. Their outdoor swimming pool and patio was to die for. Their indoor Jacuzzi is open 24 hours and is beautiful. I recommend this place to everyone. The price is very reasonable for all that they offer. I loved my experience here. Thank you so much for making my second day/night in Idaho falls perfect. I will see you again soon.

This is a completely charming facility built in the 1960s in the classic motor hotel style. The location on the bank of the Snake River next to the falls is a prime location. Super friendly staff and breakfast omelettes made to order. We could have stayed longer.

I had been to Idaho Falls around 3 years back and had a terrible experience at the hotel we stayed. So, needless to say, I was very hesitant about booking a different hotel in the same city. Boy, was I wrong. This hotel was exceptional from beginning to end. I was greeted at the reception desk with a huge smile and welcome by both people at the reception. They were very clear in explaining everything the hotel had to offer and assured me that they would be available anytime. I walked to our room and was fortunate enough to get a first story room that had a huge window facing the Greentrail. This allowed for some interesting people-watching experiences. The hotel is located directly across the street from Snake River and the Greentrail. There are a few restaurants (Try Lucy's Pizzeria for some great tasting New York style pizza) and bars within walking distance that make the location desirable. Although the hotel may be a little bit older, they did an excellent job in remodeling and updating the entire location. The hotel offers FREE bike rentals to use along the Greentrail, they have a nice fitness room with a very large indoor jacuzzi that is adjacent to it. Although the pool is outdoors, they have the water set to a very comfortable temperature. The breakfast is one of the best we've had from our very many road trip experiences. The homemade banana nut bread was delicious, as well as the made-to-order daily special of scrambled eggs over diced potatoes. The beds were comfortable and the towels soft. Overall, this was an exceptional hotel experience, and the price was great! You have to stay here when in the area.

After a long day of driving, Priscilla greeted us with a smile. She was very helpful with our room, details about the falls, breakfast info and her picks for dinner spots.The room was great, very clean, comfortable bed (with pillow choices) and quiet. We walked along the falls on the green belt to unwind from the drive. We walked to a very nice dinner just down the street. We were very surprised at all the choices for breakfast plus cooked to order omelettes. The two ladies in the breakfast area were so friendly and upbeat! It was a fun start to the day. We headed out to Yellowstone after breakfast but would come back and stay a few days to explore the area.

Although overpriced this hotel is great. The location right by the falls is a wonderful place, and lots of walking areas around there. The staff is great and the breakfast was absolutely tasteful.I would recommend this hotel, but again, it is a little overpriced.

The BW Driftwood Inn is perhaps the best hotel/motel for travelers in Idaho Falls. Close to downtown, close to the river, great rooms, great staff, and a made-to-order omelette/egg station for breakfast (homemade banana bread too). Love this place and stay their regularly when I am in IF.

It's never nice to write a negative comment, but in this case I feel I have to. We chose this hotel because of the great rating (#2) on TripAdvisor, but our experience was not top-nodge. The hotel is getting too old and is worne out. Dirty carpeting, a bathroom that's not fully clean (I found hair and a wrapper of some kind), the whole place is not up to standard anymore unfortunately. The location however is fantastic: right across the waterfall. And the personnel in the hotel is very friendly.

Location, Location, Location. Perfect, right across the street from the falls and the Greenway. We only stayed one night, but the staff was terrific. They even had a selection of pillows in the office to pick from if the ones in the room were too hard, soft, or just not what you were used to. They were helpful in pointing our possible restaurants of interest in the area. Breakfast was definitely several steps above what you normally find in similar hotels. Our room was not particularly large, and the bathroom was downright small, but both were clean and the bed was comfortable. We would stay here again.

Found this gem on the way to Jackson Hole. We loved the location. Everyone at the front desk was outstanding. We enjoyed a walk down by the river and swimming in the pool. It was amazing how quiet the hotel was. My grandson loved the pancake maker at breakfast. If going through Idaho Falls make sure you stay at the Driftwood.

Disclaimer: this review is focused primarily on the policy this location has towards elite members. We like best westerns-we are elite members-have been for a few years now-and one of the incredible benefits of being an elite member is the room upgrade policy that best western endorses. We completely understand that if a hotel is full they cannot offer a room upgrade-however, our story unfolds as such. At the time of booking I had requested that if a room upgrade was available, we would be most appreciative (I do this at all locations). We arrived later in the evening and I checked online and many rooms were available-instead we were granted one of the smallest rooms on the location. We had a rough night due to an exceptionally loud ventilation/cooling unit and numerous other interruptions caused by other guests. (car panic alarm outside our room at 3am, alarm clock at 5:30am set by previous guest in our room, a seemingly lost guest that kept coming to our room lol). We realize that guest noise is beyond the hotels control at times, and do not fault the hotel for these incidents. However, here is where it gets interesting. At check out, I mention the loud ventilation unit to the front desk, and they apologize and offer us 1,000 points for the problem-that's great! Then they offer that if we had informed them about it they could have moved us to another room. Absolutely-makes sense-and we understand it was on us to let them know. Then I inquire about the elite member room upgrade policy - and I am informed that they were completely full and could not accommodate any room upgrades. How is it possible to offer to have moved us to another room, and then immediately say you had no rooms available? I was somewhat speechless. I inquired about how come I could have booked several different rooms at this location on the best western website in the evening, and at night, as the website showed several rooms available? The answer I received was that they were full-and there was nothing available, and that they were doing the best that they could do. It is unfortunate to say the least that this hotels policy is to not honour the room upgrade policy for elite members set forth by best western. We have not run into this issue ever before at a best western. Fortunately, best western hotels are independently owned and operated and thus this may be an isolated incident. It is also unfortunate and shameful how the front desk handled this situation. Truly embarrassing to the best western brand :( In conclusion-this is a beautiful almost resort level hotel-location, breakfast, exterior-all aces. The bed was exceptional! It is an excellent hotel-and for anyone not an elite member, I expect you will have a perfect stay, and I recommend it. However, if you are an elite member and expect integrity when it comes to the room upgrade policy...you may be somewhat disappointed as we were. The greatest disappointment of all was in how the front desk at check out handled my inquiries-to offer a different room and then immediately say you had no rooms is almost laughable. Oh well lol

We called before arriving because our credit card got stolen before we left on trip and was able to change card and also was able to pre check in. We're were given a wonderful room with a great view of the river. It was quiet, clean and comfortable. We will stay again.

I just want to say from the very get-go your midnight guy Jesse was amazing all the way through day shift and the breakfast was phenomenal the day shift help was wonderful I just want to thank you very much it was one of my best experiences at a hotel and I stay all over the United States thanks again you got great staff

When I booked this room, I did not know how close I would be to the Falls. What a nice surprise. My wife thought it was a great place and when my wife is happy, I'm happy. Thank you to the clerk that I talked with on the phone after I checked out because of leaving part of my C-Pap machine in the room. He was nice enough to mail it back to my home. The only problem I saw was the spa should have been drained and refilled or the chemicals needed to be rechecked. Everything else was A+.

The hotel staff (Priscilla, I believe) was extremely friendly and helpful upon check-in. I'm pretty certain we were upgraded from a double queen room, as our room (93) was massive with a full kitchen, 2 queens and a pull out sofa. The beds were very comfortable. Our view of the falls (with balcony) was incredible and the kids enjoyed the pool and spa in spite of the windy conditions that day. Breakfast (and the breakfast staff) was amazing and we sadly missed the chocolate chip cookies at 5 the previous evening (our fault). The property was within walking distance to a wonderful Mexican restaurant (Jalisco's). We were all extremely pleased. Wonderful hotel.

I have enjoyed the Driftwood Inn before and this time was equally as nice. Its location is across from the Snake river and the river walk is a plus for a relaxing walk. The employees are very helpful and a plus is the early breakfast for the early risers and those that want to get on the road early. They provide an omelette bar that cooks your eggs to order if you like. This is a feature that BW has in some of their locations. If you are in the Idaho Falls I would recommend the Driftwood Inn.

Two couples all in our late 60's were on our way from SLC to the Tetons and stayed here for one night. Check-in/check-out was friendly and quick. Rooms were large and very nice. Breakfast was delicious having both gluten-free and non gluten-free food. A good selection of gluten-free items. Everybody was so freindly. We would stay again. In the morning I took a walk along the river/falls. What a great walk ending in the Friendship Garden. What a great setting in Idaho Falls, we never expected this. What a peaceful place!

The hotel was a very nice place to stay and it was located on the river with such a beautful view of the falls You were received with such a wonderful staff that was willing to help you and the breakfuse was great they would meed you and fix what ever you wanted on the stove

Love the BW Hotel (Driftwood Inn) and the location. The scenery at the Falls is spectacular and well worth the visit. There is a view of the Temple across the river - photo opportunities are endless. The hotel itself is top drawer with every ammenity you could ask for. The hotel is kid and pet friendly - a bonus for one and all. I always try to stay at this Inn when I travel down I-15!

We went to enjoy the provided continental breakfast that offered an array of options and, most excitingly, an omelet bar! The food was all fresh and reflected the cleanliness and quality that the room and the property had already presented. However, upon bringing my omelet to me, the woman mispronounced my name (not unusual with its spelling -not an issue and totally understandable!). However, the other attendant made a remark using an Asian dialect commenting about how the worker couldn't see. It was offensive, rude, and unnecessary. It's a shame that these comments are still allowed, and disgusting that it happened in an establishment like this. I was appalled.

We've stayed at Best Western Premiere Hotals. The Driftwood Inn was equal if not better quality for the cost. The homemade banana bread is a don't miss as well as the omelet bar for breakfast. Great!!

This is my second visit to the Best Western Driftwood. The staff is nice, and helpful. The rooms are beautiful and clean. It is downtown on the river in walking distance to wonderful restaurants, the gorgeous Snake River walking trail, and shopping. And, last but not least, it has The Best free, hotel breakfast, including an omelet bar!! Don't stay anywhere else, if you are staying Idaho Falls!

This hotel was a very pleasant surprise! We stayed here with our three dogs on the way to Arizona, after an 8 hour drive, were given a great river view room with a lovely view! It was quiet, spacious, clean, and the beds were very, very comfortable. I definitely recommend this place!

Idaho Falls is a hidden gem and we are glad we spent some time here. The hotel is very clean and quiet. The staff goes out of their way to be friendly and helpful. Breakfast is the best we have gotten on our month of travels.

Very common for the grumpiest staff of any hotel chain be the breakfast crew. I cant blame them - who likes to get up and feed the masses at 5AM. Best Western Driftwood Inn breaks that common thread. Staff is awake, friendly, genuine, and helpful. Love the omelet serving station - you place your order and 5 mins later you have an omelet and a smile brought to your table. Keep up the good work! Thank you - you have made hotel breakfast happy again.

Very clean, nicely decorated, and extremely reasonably-priced room. The staff is super friendly, and I loved walking the dogs on the river trail! Plus, the old downtown is within a few blocks. I would totally come back.

Every time I stay here the service is excellent. I've been staying here on work trips for close to four years, it never disappoints! I typically request one of the balcony king bed rooms, they have a excellent view of the falls and river.

We truly enjoyed staying at this hotel! We had a room with a view of the falls and it was amazing! The room itself was very nicely decorated (modern), with a shower to beat all showers--4 shower heads! Our only complaint was that we only stayed for one night!

We have stayed here multiple times and it's always a great stay. We love the location. It's always nice to walk along the river after a day of travel, and we also like having great restaurants within walking distance, as well. The rooms we've stayed in have been wonderful,... clean, comfortable, nice decor, and amazing views. The employees have always been super friendly and efficient. This hotel continues to be our 1st choice when staying in Idaho Falls.

Breakfast exceeded my expectations, and soup in the evening was very good as well. I will stay here every time I visit Idaho Falls!

Staff, accommodations, breakfast and overall decor is first class. It's a pleasure staying at this establishment. They go above and beyond what is offered at many hotel/motels that I have stayed at in my travels.I would highly recommend this place to any traveler.

Wonderful place for a peaceful night's sleep! Very comfortable and clean room. Very friendly staff (from Tanya, Manning the desk/phone, to Carla in the breakfast room). A great shower! Option for overhead ‘rainhead' or traditional wall mount shower head..... or run both at same time w no loss of pressure! The Snake River is just across the street. There is a 2 story wing with balconies that look out over the river. Our room was part of a single story wing..... had the feel of a bungalow. Parking right in front made for easy in and out (never heard any cars). Breakfast bar was excellent: made to order real eggs; self serve pancakes and waffles, etc. We'll be back!!!

We always stay at the Driftwood Inn Best Western Plus. The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. The rooms are lovely, the view of the falls is spectacular as is the walk along the falls. They are dog friendly and there is lots of parking for larger vehicles

Stayed for one night, had an interesting experience but all was taken care of by the friendly and accommodating staff. The area was quiet and peaceful. The morning breakfast was better than usual. Parking was abundant. The location is on the river, so a nice view is available, and very suitable for a peaceful walk. The site has a fairly good fitness center too, and laundry facilities.0

The Best Western Driftwood Inn has an excellent location right on the green belt across from the Snake River. It's very peaceful and provides excellent walkways. Super close to many restaurants, in fact we walked along the river to go to dinner and then walked back. It was very relaxing and just so pleasant. Our room was really nice (we had a river view suite). The only thing I think could be improved was that the beds were really overly firm. My husband who likes a firm mattress said they were too firm for him.

We are very particular about the hotels and motels we stay in. When traveling I rely heavily on reviews from Trip Advisor. For me, cleanliness and price are key. We have stayed at some high-end resorts (Grand America, SLC; Broadmoor, Colorado; Grand Wailea, Hawaii to name a few) and love the opportunity for that kind of experience. However, we are quite content with something simple and clean. The location of the Driftwood is ideal. Open the door to your room to hear the falls and see the temple. Walk across the street and stroll the trail along the snake river and falls. The rooms are very clean. Beds comfy. Hot tub and exercise room extremely nice. Breakfast offerings are the usual with cereal, oatmeal, yogurts, pastries, fruits (pears, too!), waffles plus a personal touch with an omelet bar—a sweet lady to cook eggs any way you like. Service with a smile. Fantastic choice. We will definitely stay here again when passing through.

Best Western Driftwood Inn, Idaho Falls, Idaho was an amazing location. Our upgraded room, not even asked for, was a pleasant surprise. Huge, beautiful suite, great river view. If you are in Idaho Falls, stay at this Best Western

Our favorite place to stay in Idaho Falls. (We stay there to attend performances at BYU Idaho a couple of times per year.) There is a beautiful view of the falls from our balcony. Great hot tub. Love the breakfast--we don't get biscuits and gravy in California. There is even homemade banana bread. Hot soup and warm cookies are served at 5pm. Everyone is very nice.

Right across from the Snake River! We traveled with two kids and two dogs and everyone was happy. The room was clean. They gave us dog treats. They have complimentary breakfast which included omelets, sausage, biscuits, gravy, and all the usual cold breakfast fare. Nice place, thumbs up.

Wonderful experience from the time we stepped foot in the door until we left. Every employee went out of their way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Wonderful breakfast and soup and baked potato in the evening was a pleasant surprise. Nice spa area. Comfortable beds and clean rooms beautiful views.

This is right by the Falls and convieniently located next to a walking path. They have free breakfast which is really helpful for when you need to get on the road. We have stayed in this location several times now on our way to visit family and it hasn't disappointed. This location has a throwback feel, in a good way. They have remodeled their entire hotel and it has that old feel with modern amenities. There is a fitness room, pool, and they allow dogs. The pillows and beds could be better, but for what you pay I believe this place is a great deal for its location.

Older facility well kept up and squeaky clean. Beautiful location across from the falls and green area. Excellant value, friendly professional staff. They do everything right to make your stay enjoyable. I stay in motels/hotels 80 nights a year and it never gets better than this location.

This motel has certainly seen better days and could use some updating. The rooms are small which is okay as long as you remember this was originally designed many, many years ago. So if you are expecting a large room with a roomy bathroom, go somewhere else. And parking is very limited and tight. That said, the place was clean. Almost too clean as the room clearly smelled of disinfectant/cleaner. The front desk staff was friendly and very helpful. And the made-to-order eggs for the included breakfast was a nice touch.

The pool was "frozen". Nowhere on the website does it state that its seasonal. Don't be fooled by the aesthetics of the online pictures, the rooms are nothing like that and entirely disappointing. RUDE staff. Hot tub was across the street!!!?? Too hot to even utilize.

The rooms are similar to others in the area but the asset here is being across from the river walk and basically just across from the falls. It is a short walk to restaurants in the area. We tend to walk the riverwalk both prior to and after supper. The lit Temple across the river casts quite a site as one walks along the river.

During our twice yearly trips down I-15 travelling to/from Arizona, we have tried a lot of different hotels and this one stood out as having very friendly staff, clean modern rooms, a great breakfast and a very good location. The staff went out of their way to help us find shopping and restaurants. We will definitely stop here again.

We have stayed at a lot of Best Westerns and this breakfast here is the best by far. Made to order omelet's are fantastic. The room was comfortable, once I got the temp figured out. All the employee's were fantastic, very enjoyable stay for sure.

This is such a special little hotel. Great rooms, feels like home, very clean, the rooms have everything you need. It is right across from the river, which is lovely. They are pet friendly and very reasonable, but the very best thing about this place is the staff!!! They are WONDERFUL!!!! very friendly, kind, helpful and professional. They also always have complimentary soup available and complimentary full breakfast, in the continental style. They offer eggs made to order and a do it yourself waffle station! And GREAT banana bread! We LOVE this Best Western!!! 10 STARS!

The owners have recently invested heavily in their hotel to enhance the guest experience. Our double queen room was big and totally renovated. The location of the hotel beside the river is fabulous - we had a very pleasant walk along the pathways. The gym was good, with a higher standard of equipment than at most hotels. And the rock and tile hot tub is gorgeous (really). The breakfast was the best of any hotel that I have stayed at that offers ‘free' breakfasts. Plus all the staff were friendly and accommodating. Really, what more can you ask for from a moderately priced hotel?

Good truck parking ...it's located right on the Snake River with plenty of restaurants within walking distance and the Riverwalk pretty much starts here ....really good full hot breakfast with omelets down to yogurt

All the staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was yummy with homemade banana bread and they make the eggs to your order. They had soup and baked potatoes in the evening. The view of the Idaho Falls temple, along with the sound of the falls was breathtaking.

Upgraded older motel being sold as a moderate hotel. Listed as having an indoor pool/hot tub but forgets to include loooooong walk in well below freezing weather in the snow to get there and back. Room small and cramped for the price. Toilet clogged, unclogged, clogged, etc. Surprised staff did not offer compensation. Breakfast was really good. Eggs/omelette made to order.

This is a the best place -especially in the warmer months when you can walk across the street to the river side park and take a long stroll or hit the downtown. The winter is still pretty if you want to leave the room, but overall, it is reliably clean, welcoming, fresh fruit in the lobby, and well appointed.

Traveling into the area with a very seasoned traveling cat . This is a great hotel . It is a little different in the lay out and could be confusing if you get there in the dark and are used to standard hotel builds I can't say enough about how clean the room was . I had a pet room and my cat was very relaxed throughout the night . The hot tub is 24 hours which is wonderful and they have a cooked to order breakfast . I am also nervous about accommodations when staying on the road with my cat . This place was outstanding ! The other great Best Western with good pet rooms was the BW Coral in St George Utah if your traveling that way Safe travels

From the first walk in to the desk, front-end personnel were very good and helpful. We have stopped at this Motel for a number of years and will continue doing so. We got through Idaho Falls at least 4 times per year and almost every time, we stop in Idaho Falls and stay at the BW (Driftwood Inn). The breakfast is as good as we have seen during out trips.

We didn't have a chance to celebrate Thanksgiving this year, and were super grateful to find a place to stay with such friendly service. The desk clerk made sure to let us know we could eat as much of the soup, potatoes, & cookies offered for free in the lobby, and also called around to find an open restaurant for us. The room was clean & pleasant, and the hotel staff were very welcoming to our dog, including pointing out the nearby river trail where we could walk him.

Unavoidably we four arrived after 10 p.m., but had a long-standing reservation for two double rooms. The night clerk, a young man, could not have been nicer or more accommodating--even offering to carry our luggage up the stairs because there is no elevator. Apparently this property is an amalgamation of two separate motels, so there is an older two-story northern building (with no elevator) and a newer building. The place was full, and our rooms were in the older, original Driftwood Motel "wing." I hardly know where to start to explain just how awful our room was! First off, it was extremely small and there was literally no room for luggage. The room had apparently been a one-bedded room, but now held two. The "desk" was a rather triangular table totally affixed to the wall on the larger end, and the table tapered to a less-wide end with a single fixed leg. That "desk" and a vertical dresser with a small TV on top filled the entire wall, save where the entry door opened against the wall. One had to move the desk chair in order to get the door all the way open! The entryway to the bathroom was an obvious do-over of an older sink-and-counter arrangement, sacrificed in order to accommodate the obligatory BW microwave and tiny fridge. The closet was blocked off by the structure just described so that only upper access was possible. Then came the disastrous bathroom! We made a list of observations as we drove away after our stay. Here are the comments we wrote down: -sink very slow to drain -toilet had to be flushed 2-3 times for full flush -toilet leaked water onto floor from under the toilet base -bathroom floor was dirty--very dirty -one light over basin burned out -sink faucet hard to pull to on position -sink spigot extremely short, so hands always hit basin -the sink is overly small -there is literally no horizontal working space at the sink -bathroom door squeaked and creaked -no soap, shampoo, or conditioner -plastic waste bags in receptacles, unopened -fan ineffective against steam -no plastic tumblers--just a single glass one -no screen on bathroom window--just spider webs -shower door opens against the clean towel rack The TV listings were all outdated and did not relate well to actual channels. The best thing about our stay here was the excellent breakfast food, including omelets prepared to order by very pleasant young ladies. But, the experience was considerably impacted by the fact that only the cheapest possible plastic utensils were provided and the coffee cups were thin paper cups. Too hot to hold! We brought all our complaints to the attention of the morning desk attendant and she profusely apologized and gave us the impression that she hears these things a lot but that the owners/managers are unwilling to make things right. We stay at Best Western properties very, very frequently, and have never encountered anything like this place!

Had the room above the drive out passage , no problems , good breakfast - And , The Had Salsa for the eggs & potatoes , but no gravy! Oh well , good stay good night - Nothing weird at all , just a good room

Just stopped here overnight on a road trip, but we were really satisfied. The free breakfast had a great selection of options, including omelette's made to order and the location was perfect. The hotel is just feet from the falls and the walk along the river.

This hotel was reasonably priced and had a professional, but friendly staff. This was one of the best places we have stayed at in a while. The breakfast options were awesome. We really enjoyed the pancake maker.

We had a great experience at the BW Driftwood Inn after moving from a terrible hotel. The staff was so friendly. Tanya helped us book the room when we walked in and she was so nice. When we checked in, Melissa greeted us and offered us an upgrade to a river view room along with fresh baked cookies and soup. It was such a pleasant surprise! The room was cozy and clean and the hot tub was really enjoyable. Breakfast was delicious and all staff was accommodating and friendly. We will definitely be back if we stay in IF again.

The hotel was lovely. The outside was beautifully landscaped. Our room was very clean. The entire place looked new. We were very pleased with their breakfast. They even had made-to-order eggs! Would highly recommend. Would love to go back!

Our stay was so memorable - for all the right reasons! We arrived early, but were greeted warmly nonetheless, and given a sincere welcome though it was truly too early to check in. We got the ideal room we'd requested, and appreciated the great view from the balcony. Our toilet was a mite sluggish, but a clerk immediately came up and fixed it without grumbling or making a mess. The location is superb, and just as nice are the amenities. The omelets cooked-to-order were a standout, and my husband thought the breakfast coffee was as good as his favorite coffee shop. I had a random information request, and though the clerk did not have that info, she found it for me. The bed and bedding were comfortable, the climate controls easy to manage, even the bedside lighting was handier than I've found elsewhere. Would love to stay here again.

This hotel is older, but pretty well maintained. It has a second floor, but no elevator. Our room was quiet, except for the pleasing sound of the falls just across the street if our patio door was open. Beds were soft but sagged just a bit to the middle. Staff was very courteous. A very kind lady made breakfast omelets to order. For the price we weren't disappointed.

One of the best Best Western hotels we have stayed at. They serve a limited evening snack, the breakfast includes an omelet station with eggs cooked to order. River parkway is across the street which make it very convenient. Clean pet friendly rooms.

My husband and I stayed here for one night recently. Staff was very nice. Hotel is clean and comfortable. Location is great across from the river with nice river walk. Breakfast very good with made to order eggs if desired. Only negative is the laundry room which I needed to use. The machines should be updated....small...$2 wash and $2 dry. Our car broke down at the door. They feed us soup because we had no way to go get dinner plus it was raining. While waiting for a tow they gave us a deck of cards to play with. Rebecca kept checking to see if we were ok. She made the experience pleasant instead of depressing. Thank you Rebecca.

Our stay at this Best Western was quaint and a pleasant surprise. The exterior Was beautifully landscaped. It was across the street with minimal traffic that runs parallel to the river and falls. Walking paths took us all over town. Our 2nd floor suite was very nice. There was a full service kitchen, a separate bedroom, and a nice bathroom with a combo shower and jacuzzi soak tub which my husband said felt good after a long day of site seeing. I took a morning shower with my only issue being the step up to get in the tub. Thankfully there was a rail on the wall...at 5'2" I needed it. Both rooms had their own heat/cool controls and flat screen TVs.. We took advantage of the full service breakfast bar that was included with the room. The property was clean,safe, and well maintained. Amenities include hot tub, work out room, and outdoor pool. We both said it reminded us of family vacations 50 years ago except everything was modernized. Two things to keep in mind...no elevators and all rooms are outside access.

I booked a room that showed a balcony however when we checked in, I was told they were fully booked and only had a regular room. I asked for a refund for the price difference but was declined. THE GOOD-The room was nicely decorated. Location was great, right by the falls and Snake River. The breakfast was wonderful!

I had a lovely night here. What initially appeared to be crowded parking was NOT crowded--I ended up parked one space from my door. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the SHOWER--YAY! There were two shower heads--the standard you find everywhere, plus an additional "rain" shower head right in the top center of the oversized shower stall. It was lovely! I don't know if all the rooms have that feature, but I loved it. Note that the shower door does pull open so that you can get to the shower controls.My check-in experience was a delight as well. I was running very late, and the woman who checked me in said "I was just about to call you--I wanted to be sure you were ok!" Even if she was just checking to see if I was still coming, her presentation was very warm and friendly.NOTE: This is a motel. That is, rooms open directly to the outside, even on the ground level. I didn't worry about that in this location, but there are other places where I wouldn't want to be in a room that opened directly to a parking lot.

This hotel goes above and beyond any best western experience I have ever had. The breakfast omlett bar is awesome, and when we arrived, they even offered soup. It is also within walking distance of all the fun things to do in Idaho Falls.

We chose this place because we are Best Western frequent flyers. What a happy surprise to find that it is located on the River Parkway, with strolling paths to look at the falls. It is an older property, very nicely maintained. Nice rooms, with fridge and microwave and good WiFi. Friendly front desk.

I called in and reserved a 2 person jetted tub room, at least that is what the lady told me. It could not even fit my wife who is 64". The breakfast though is outstanding, made to order eggs! Scrambled, omelette, any style at all. But the room was bad, at least in my case it was. A 2 person jetted tub like I was told would have been much better.

Booked riverview room with balcony as on hotel website, recieved ground room and told last room avail, only view was of parking lot cars. No cookies on checkin as advertised. Inside room awesome, so was breakfast.

We stayed at this hotel based on previous reviews. It was a very nice and quiet night. We booked a room on the second floor with a view of the river. The view was awesome. The staff was very friendly from the phone call to book the room up through checkout. The room was nice. Shower had been remodeled and was nice. We walked along the river up to a restaurant for dinner then walked completely around the river. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

We liked the location right beside the river. It's quiet and just a few minutes walk from downtown. Rebecca was very helpful and welcoming when we checked in. The room was a good size and clean. We also enjoyed the tasty breakfast!

After 8 hours of driving this was like a oasis. The hotel is opposite the river and falls, what makes for a lovely site after hours of desert an interstate. The check in was quick, nice pool, hot tub and gym. Room was fantastic and clean with mini fridge freezer and TV. Food and shops near by / could walk. Free breakfast with a cook making omelette to order what was a nice touch. All the staff are very nice.

Been staying at the Driftwood several times a year for the past 7 years, journeying from SoCal to Montana. Have never been disappoiinted, and is the reason I keep coming back, time after time. Clean, comfortablet, with a fantastic breakfast and attentive, friendly staff. High recommend!!

Stayed at BW Driftwood on first night (our anniversary) of our Yellowstone/Jackson Hole vacation. BW staff was welcoming and helpful. Room was very nice, clean, comfortable and right on the river. Train whistles made sleeping a little difficult. River walk was great. Short walk to Copper Rill restaurant for wonderful dinner.

Establishment is clean, maintained and obviously well run. Beds were reasonably comfortable, bathroom was newer with large shower. Ac worked well. Across the street from falls and nice area to walk. Didn't stay for breakfast to get early start.

We really enjoy most of the best westerns that we have stayed in. This one was no exception. Bed was comfortable, room was clean, Rebecca, the lady who checked us in was very kind and even called to make sure we were still on our way when we had travel delays. We were able to get late checkout and a bonus is the room is close enough to hear the waterfall. We have a toddler who is very ready to get out of the car after being on the road for hours so having the hotel put us on the ground floor was awesome! Much appreciated! Didn't wake up early enough to have breakfast.

The room was very clean and quiet. Leo at the front desk was very welcoming and pleasant. i work at a resort and like to comment on especially good employees when I experience it. We thoroughly enjoyed the complimentary hot breakfast in the morning.

We have stayed here several times during our road trips to California. Unfortunately this time the hotel was full. We arrived around 6:20 on a Monday night & the rooms were all booked. But - thanks to the fabulous staff at the desk they were able to book us a room at the BW sister hotel just down the street. Appreciate the help! We will be back!

Beautiful Hotel with beautiful water fall on the side of the building as well as a neat lake across the street with a view of the Morman Temple. Laundry facility was hard to reach for "short" people. Ate my quarters but front desk reimbursed me.

We stayed here whilst on a road trip. The room was large with two king beds. It was comfortable and warm. The staff were helpful assisting with recommendations of local restaurants. There was a good selection for breakfast - we had the fresh made omelettes which were really tasty. The staff in the breakfast area were very friendly and recommended some sights to see in the local area. It was possible to get fresh tea and coffee in the reception area as well as fruit and they also provided us with water. There was a pool but we didn't have the opportunity to avail of this as we arrived late. The hotel is located in a lovely setting near the river - there is a lovely walk just across the road from the hotel. The waterfall is pretty impressive and there is also a lovely garden section on the other side of the road. The town was very well kept.

The hotel is situated right on the river with beautiful views of the LDS temple and falls. Wonderful river walk right next to the location makes for great evening and morning walks. The facility is an older hotel remodeled in newer decor which is adequate and clean. The rooms are clean and comfortable with good beds which are soft and welcoming. All in all a good place to stay. The staff is what makes this place a wonderful place. Very helpful and friendly as we arrived with a great recommendation for dinner. The staff during the included breakfast was outstanding. Very attentive and quick to replace used plates and eggs to order as well! Thank you for a great stop over in IF.

Where do I start? My husband and I decided to travel to Idaho Falls for a 2 night getaway. I had never been to this city although my husband had been there for business years ago. I researched hotels and I picked this Best Western after reading the great reviews. This hotel is in a perfect location - across from the Greenbelt that runs along the Snake River. Also close to restaurants and the historic downtown, all within walking distance. Upon arrival I noticed how pretty the outside of the hotel and pool looked with the beautiful flowers, shrubs and greenery. A lot of thought and work went into this. There was a really nice wall type waterfall (if you will) in the front of the hotel. Nice touch. Next inside the lobby we were greeted by two friendly front desk clerks. I asked if it was possible to get an upstairs room (riverview) and the two staff members were very accommodating. Room 44 was suggested. This turned out to be one of the best rooms for a great view of the Snake River and Temple. The room was so nice - immaculately clean. The bed was very comfortable. Everything worked great. No problem at all. The pool was inviting. I only wished my bathing suit fit me so I could swim in the pool. In the morning in addition to the usual continental type breakfast you could have a made to order omelette or egg scramble or breakfast burrito. I had an omelette and my husband had a burrito. Delicious! I will end this by saying that if you are in the Idaho Falls area and need a room for a night or even longer this is the place to stay in. Clean hotel, nice and friendly staff. You will not be disappointed. If my husband and I are ever in Idaho Falls again we will be staying at this hotel and asking for Room 44 again.

We stayed here one night on our way to Yellowstone and it exceeded our expectations! The location is perfect. It's right across the street from the river walk. The room was spacious and probably more than we needed but I'm not complaining. They have a small gym. The breakfast offering is more than most hotels and it's actually good. The staff was exceptionally friendly and more than helpful. I would stay here if I'm ever in the area again.

Our family stayed at the Best Western Driftwood Inn on the way from the SLC Airport to the Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. It is a motel that has undergone an extensive renovation. The rooms are clean, modern and quiet. You can't beat the location either-right across the street from the Idaho Falls. While we did not use the pool, the small fitness center was great. Their complimentary breakfast was well above the average Best Western breakfast. They had oatmeal, waffles and cooked to order omelets. I do wish they had more fresh fruit however. This is great place to stay in a very nice city.

Although I know TripAdvisor manipulate the reviews and don't show the negative ones, I'm gonna write this! This motel is not clean. There was hair all over the sheets! First I thought it's only the pillows, and we asked for extra towels to cover the pillows, not there was hair also on the mattress cover, and duvet cover. The bed, should be the number one priority for every hotel! The fact that they didn't bother to change the bedding is disgusting!

By far the nicest Best Western experience we've had. Location, friendliness of staff, quiet room, and proximity to walking path along the river were all factors in making this an outstanding hotel to stay at!

Reservations made and confirmed with concern for my needs. I wanted a Ground Floor 2 Queen beds and a waterfront view and it was waiting for me. Yes water front view ! There is a park across the street that is long and slender next to the Snake River- Excellent paths for walking and unique park benches - shaped like animals but comfortable. The river is also a water fall/electrical plant but does not look like a commercial area it is a long thin beautiful park . Quite along parts of the river and very active water in other parts and all photo worthy! Best of all I can watch from my room. Breakfast was included in the room rate and it was not just cereal - you can have eggs cooked for you your way, do it yourself waffles - biscuits and gravy, fresh fruit, juice, yogurt, etc etc. Served early for the early risers and for 2- 3 hours. I have stayed here before and make it a point to return when I am any where near. They have new card keys that open the locks quickly and without having to fit it in a slot.. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioner/heater had a dial with heat degrees so you don't have to guess what the little lines mean. Yes on small refrigerator + hair dryer and other comforts needs. If you forget your toothbrush, or need a sewing kit.. it is there just ask the front desk. Exercise room and more. Wish I could move it closer to my home - perhaps down on the Oregon Coast - Then I could visit more often. Enjoy it I did and will again. and again if the opportunity arrives.

This is the place to stay in Idaho Falls. It was our first time in this town. A great room - front row and center to the falls. Clean, comfortable and restful sleep! The staff was extremely friendly and went out of their way to make sure this was an excellent stay. Thank you! The bicycles - to ride around the lake - were the icing on the cake. They are available for the asking.

The staff here made us want to stay on and on. They were very helpful and kind with big smiles under computer upgrade problems. The lobby has fresh fruit and at other times had cinnamon rolls. The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was exceptional with homemade eggs and omelets. Hot tub was nice and while in there met the owner and he was extremely nice. I highly recommend this hotel, the river setting is so nice and peaceful.

One night stay at this wonderful Best Western. I had a beautiful room overlooking the falls with a small balcony. How great at the end of a travel day to sit on the balcony and read a bit. Leo at the desk was great, friendly, easy check in. Sorry I missed the cookies. Room was great, updated, with a nice Keurig coffee maker. Very comfy king bed. Had a wonderful night's sleep. We stayed here in Aug 2018 for a two-night visit in Idaho Falls. The front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating at check-in. The room was clean, large and up-to-date, with a fridge and coffee maker among the other predictable amenities. The pool was great-clean and a good size. I was impressed with breakfast. There were the standard offerings (cold cereal, yogurt, fruit, pastries including home-made banana bread, bagels & toast, waffles, oatmeal, meat, juices, coffee) as well as a made-to-order egg station. The folks manning the station worked their butts off and were so friendly-they even delivered your eggs to you at your table! When we checked out, I was again impressed with the happy, pleasant, professional demeanor of front desk staff. They're doing it right at this property! The location is great - across the street from the river and falls, which has a very pretty paved walking trail alongside, with picnic tables and benches. Perfect view of the Mormon temple across the river. Very lovely! Also a short walk to a great Mexican restaurant (Jalisco's). I highly recommend this hotel for a visit to Idaho Falls.

Love this place. From the time I checked in, to the time I checked out, the staff was phenomenal. They took care of getting my dress for my Son's Wedding to & from the cleaners. Perfect location! I will definitely be coming back and staying here again.

Driftwood was a nice place with great staff, great continental breakfast nice pool close to eating establishment and a great view of the Falls and also a beautiful of the Mormon LDS Temple breathtaking,enjoyed the weekend definitely will return.

We have choosed this hotel just because of it is located right nest to the falls , park , restaurants etc...Best western is always a great choice in budget range hotels. Staff was so good and they even helped to plan our visit to national parks.

Great place to stay, wonderful staff. He roomes are nice, extremely clean and tge staff is wonderful. The work out facilities and hot tub are better than most all hotels I stay at. The breakfast is probably the best of any hotel.

Pros: Friendly professional staff. We had a ground floor room. It had a view of Idaho Falls on the Snake River. Restaurants were within walking distance. Breakfast was made to order eggs. Cons: The room was in the older part of the property and could use some remodeling. You could hear noise from upstairs. The desk chair was not adjustable anymore and could not be used. Talked to Leo at front desk and he tried to find us another chair but didn't have one. The second night someone with a dog was across the hall and you could hear the dog barking. The hotel was just slightly nicer than the Quality Inn and Rodeway Inn adjacent to the BW - but is priced like a BW Plus. There are a lot of people in the river park across the street. This area is not in a very good part of Idaho Falls. The hot tub/spa is convenient for the old part of the hotel and the pool is convenient for the new part of the hotel. This property is a motor inn.

I booked this hotel based on the photos of the pool, which make it appear quite large. The photos are quite deceptive. The pool is actually rather small. The room was clean but the decor was a bit dated.

We are retired and we travel a lot. Last night, we stayed at the Best Western Driftwood and it is AWESOME. It is adjacent to the River Walk and great restaurants. Right across the river is a gorgeous Mormon Temple/Church. The breakfast at the hotel was great - omelets, eggs etc TO ORDER. Home made banana bread and all of the other goodies. Employees are very knowledgeable and friendly. Would I stay here again - heck yes.
