"Very friendly front desk staff though..."

Hate to only give 2 stars because the front desk ladies were exceptionally nice, professional and accommodating, but the hotel is just in severe need of upgrades. We were there 4 nights and not once did housekeeping come and clean our room or leave us clean towels. So maddening! We did have the do not disturb sign ONCE but that's it. The lobby is right next to the kitchen which is being renovated. Breakfast is granola bars, or packaged muffins, juice and a Keurig machine for coffee. Looks like a big chunk of the hotel is being renovated. HUGE inconvenience to travelers. Had I known the renovations were that invasive I wouldn't have booked here. Only upside is it was very cheap. Now I know why.

We stayed here with a few friends before leaving to Galveston for a cruise. It was average. First off, our shuttle driver picked us up in very quickly after we called the hotel. He even made a stop for us at a restaurant that my friends really wanted to visit before he took us to the hotel. Upon getting to the hotel, we were surpirsed to learn that the whole bottom floor was under construction, so there would be no hot breakfast offered, but there were granola bars, packaged muffins, packaged danishes, and some fruit offered as a "grab and go". This is ok if you are able to eat wheat products, but otherwise it is very lacking. It would've been nice to have a voucher or something to the waffle house next door instead of a 15% discount. The room was just ok. The floor was really uneven between the two beds in our room, and it seemed very dated. The bathroom seemed a little dingy. The bed was comfortable at least. The lady at the front desk that we dealt with the following morning didn't ask how the stay was or anything, didn't really seem to care. There was nowhere for us to wait for our shuttle once we had checked out of our room, so we just sort of stood awkwardly in the main entrance. Overall, it was an ok stay, but I am not impressed with the price I paid for the room compared to what was offered.

The room was clean and comfortable but I have never experienced such rude shuttle staff. We had two different drivers, one from the airport and one to the airport, and both acted like we were greatly inconveniencing them by asking to be driven. First guy didn't say a word to us the whole time, just slammed doors and drove like he was pissed off. Second guy was just a jerk, was angry that we didn't know what terminal we had to go to and was cranky because we were waiting at the back of the van for him to open the door. Why are these employees so angry and why are they taking it out on customers?

We arrived very late for our brief overnight stay to head out of the airport early the next morning. Kelly, the staff at the front desk was there upon both arrival and departure since we had to leave very early. She accommodated us with parking for our car during our week long trip as well as a shuttle to the airport. I didn't even know this was available when I reserved the room. It was way cheaper than paying for parking at the airport. Since we had to leave before the continental breakfast was ready, she even provided us with a small snack and drink. She went out of her way to help us out and we really appreciate it. My husband spends at least 150 days on the road every year and stays in plenty of places. He said that Kelly was by far the most genuine staff person he's ever come across. Thank you Kelly.

Our experience with this location was generally excellent. Great friendly and approachable staff. While recovery efforts are still happening, there was nothing really available for services on the first floor. The biggest downfall was there was no hot breakfast due to the area being redone from the hurricane. I suggested in the hotel feedback to put a notice on the booking site when booking. Otherwise, our room was great, a/c worked great, TV great, fridge and microwave. Gas stations, Waffle House, Sonic and Jack in the Box all close! Would stay here again once renovations/recovery complete!

Badly in need of an update. Work is being done on the common spaces. Hopefully they will then move on to the rooms. Staff was friendly. Room was clean, but shabby. The only nearby food was a Waffle House (also shabby) and a Sonic. Glad it was just one night.

The moment we stepped into the lobby we knew this would be our home away from home; our stay lasted four months. The entire staff, and I mean everyone (Kasey, Ms. Martha, Martha-Tita, Ashley, Kelley, Arielle, and Ms.Sylvia and her awesome housekeeping team) were very accommodating, friendly, and service oriented. We even celebrated Christmas with the staff! (That's how caring this staff is)! Our suite was very nice, large, clean and well-kept. Everyone helped us get through a very difficult time and made the transition much easier for my husband (disabled) and me. Even though the hotel was undergoing first floor renovations after Harvey destruction, service and accommodations were FIVE STAR!,

The hotel is still dealing with repairs after hurricane Harvey which totally ruined everything on the first floor. The hotel management is doing a good job of keeping the hotel running during the repair work.

My family and I got stranded in Houston, TX. We had the option of staying at the airport until the next morning. Yet with a quick call to this hotel they accomedated 6 adults with in 5 min.s and gave us a great rate. Rooms are perfect and cozy. Staff was beyond gracious and friendly. They took our trip from one of chaos and made it a vacation again. If I'm ever back in Houston will definitely stay again. Now on my way to Florida. Thanks for saving the day!

Sadly, the entire 1st floor of the hotel was under repair due to Hurricane Harvey which I was told at the time of reservation. Limited breakfast, which I knew and was fine with. Staff was very nice. Room was nice overall but the bathroom was not clean like most Best Westerns and the air conditioner didn't work well. Worst issue was the shuttle driver drove 75 on service roads around the airport and didn't offer to help with luggage.

The counter employees at this hotel were courteous, helpful and went out of their way to make my experience bearable. The hotel is under going a renovation; floors taken up, bear cement exposed; walls knocked out and taped with tape; distinct moldy order in corridor and room; pool area closed (green water in pool), super dusty A/C vent in room. Felt cheated, I know I could have stayed at another hotel with better accommodations. Since I was only there for one night, I just dealt with it. However, I will not book a room at this property again.

This is one of the worst Best Western Plus hotels we have been to across the USA. I just read the responses to the reviews using the excuse of flooding from Harvey....this is way more than that. All the windows on the 3rd floor were open as well as the unoccupied room doors. The woman at the front desk said that they ALWAYS open their windows and doors and air out the rooms that way everyday....that sounds like a lie....they open windows when it is hot and humid?? I called after hurricane harvey to make sure the hotel was still in good shape and was assured that all was great but that also is not true....the third floor hallway smells like cigarettes and she also said that they have smoking rooms only on third floor??? Take my advice....stay somewhere else!! There are many hotels nearby and ANY of them would be better than this one.

"Overpriced dump"

Don't waste your money not worth it, dumpy and overpriced , they advertised breakfast, but there was just coffee and couple cereal bars. The bedroom door was loose in the frame I could see through it and it did not lock securely so I slept with furniture stacked against the door

This hotel wasn't my first choice however, all the hotels in the area were booked. I was in town for my grandmother's funeral. Elevator broken. I had to lug my suitcase up 3 flights of stairs. No staff assistance. Came back to my room one say and my window was stuck open. Finally got it closed but the entire window panel came out. The shower faucet never shut off completely. The pillows felt lumpy like they had been washed and dried and they fell apart. The ice machine was out of ice. And I paid over $100 per night.

The staff was helpful, when I arrived to Houston airport I called the hotel for shuttle service and they had a shuttle pick me up within 10 minutes. I was not sure about the hotel as I have never traveled to Houston, TX, nor was I familiar with the area. When I arrived at the hotel I was surprised to see that most of the first floor was under construction. Granted, they just had a hurricane and it appears they were hit. I asked about a gym, but no gym exists on this property. My room was okay, but overall I think the hotel needs a renovation. It seems a bit outdated. On my way out the next day, they had a small continental to go breakfast. I would say for the price it's okay.

Walked in and the place was covered with visqueen and under repair and it smells or mold and dust. NO OPERATING ELEVATOR and the only rooms are on the upper floors. They would not refund my reservation since I arrived after 4pm, even though I was never told they had no operating elevator and no breakfast facility. I did not even stay and went down the street to a Choice Hotel that did not flood. They should notify customers of the repairs BEFORE they reserve a room. BEST WESTERN SHOULD CLOSE THIS FRANCHISE DOWN UNTIL IT IS REPAIRED AND THOROUGHLY CLEANED> I will never go back to this one...

The staff here were great, but we found the room tired and dated, the entire ground floor is under repair after flooding, this meant no breakfast was available, and there was a musty smell. We probably would not stay here again.

I'm a regular customer and was unable to stay at the BW before due to Hurricane Harvey, but they are striving to 'return' as they regain their computers and Internet. The first floor is being completely renovated because of the flood damage they encountered, thus there was no coffee or ANY kitchen amenities and the elevator was out of commission. I usually park there, so my car was 'drowned' but I want to throw my business back to them - as I consider myself their friend. They are trying to get things 'back', which is no small feat with what they've experienced. The rooms are still amazing, everything works and it is very comfortable. Well kept, clean - what you might hope Best Western should be like. I will be returning, because we have a relationship, as long as I can. Park my car there? Not during hurricane season.

I am a Japanese person, who was helped by this hotel during the flooding that occurred in Houston. I was deeply moved by the way Martha and her daughter did their jobs and took care of everyone. I will definitely stay here if I travel to Houston again!

May I start by saying after the horrific floods that Texas encountered recently the people are still full of cheer, when we arrived it was very obvious the devastating effect it took upon this hotel plastic sheets around the reception area with air blowers constantly going butt the greeting we received was very professional and with kindness we were 2 hours early for our room and told there was a $20 charge for early check in this was wavered due to the construction which was appreciated, the rooms are basic but very conftable. In the evening we as a family wanted to go out for supper we enquired about a cab to a local bar as was told they would take use for a $20 fee yet again this was waved as a courtesy due to the building repair and one last thing is breakfast was canceled due to having no kitchens or service areas again because of the water damage.Over all I have no complaints.

We stayed here one night after our United flight connection was missed due to a Mechanical problem on a incoming flight to Costa Rica. United who promised to give us a room, was unable most likely due to many locals staying in the area hotels post Hurricane Harvey. In the United Club we met a United Employee who stated she was staying there due to the fact that she lost het home due to the storm. She gave us the number of the hotel and was the only kind United Employee we encountered in Houston. We called the hotel and were told that they had a room for us. A special thank you to the front desk, the driver, and particularly Ashley, who gave us a ride to the airport prior to the first shuttle at 5:00 am. All the employees there should be commended on their kindness particularly after going through what they just went through. You all give Houston a great name. The room was clean and adequate for the few hours we were there. Thanks again for helping through what could have been a long night on the airport floor as United had suggested.

Our connecting flights via Houston had been canceled due to the flooding from hurricane Harvey. To our surprise this hotel was up and running despite the difficulties of circumstance (including first floor suffered flooding and short on staff). We had originally embarked from Japan and had yet to make our way to Costa Rica so we really appreciated the opportunity to stay that night in a bed and be able to take a shower and rest after 24 hours of travel (and almost another day yet to go). We arrived late at night and Ms. Marta was the only personnel on staff that evening. She was on top of everything.. front desk, chofer, meals , you name it. And most extraordinarily extremely friendly and attentive despite the horrific circumstance of the aftermath of the hurricane. A few canceled flights is nothing at all in compared to what Texans had suffered this past week. However we would like to thank Ms. Marta and the rest of the staff for providing us a place to stay that evening. Obviously not all of the usual amenities could be available (nor did we expect them to or for that matter even cared due to circumstance) and yet they still provided us with a filling breakfast in the morning. We sincerely thank you and hold in our thoughts and prayers the people affected by hurricane Harvey and wish them safety and strength throughout the recovery.

We understand that hurricane Harvey caused a huge disaster for all the surrounding area! We were very fortunate to be able to still have running water, warm dry beds, and limited breakfast for our guests still in house due to Hurricane Harvey. Due to the fact that we were flooded our other staff were unable to make it due to all the high water. No complaint. Everything went well. Staff was friendly. Booking on the internet was easy. Check-in process was super easy. Check-out was smooth. Room was fairly clean though a bit old. Location was excellent (close to the airport).

Excellent snd and fast service. Phoned from Airport to find out about availability of a room. Was assisted immediately and picked up at the airport within 10 minutes. Prices are very good and the hotel is in an excellent condition. The personnel was friendly and helpful and went out of their way to assist and to provide advice. Will definitely use this hotel again.

Check in was easy, smooth, and friendly. Explained all the amenities and asked if I had any questions. Room was clean, clean nice pool area, lounge was nice. Breakfast as usual. Not far from nice dining in town. Great place for the price.

We had a very nice room that was super clean and everything in working order. The staff is excellent and the breakfast is typical of what you get in these types of hotels. There is a Waffle House next to the hotel that we used as we had a very early morning flight and had to leave before breakfast was ready. Can't say enough about the staff.

We reserved 2 rooms for one night to catch an early morning flight to the Caribbean. We left after 2 hours. The front desk lady was very nice and very accommodating but the whole hotel smelled and both rooms were musky and smelled wet. Mold on ceiling and we weren't on the top floor. The bathroom door wouldn't close. They were very nice and offered to change the rooms but it's obvious that none of the rooms would be much better. We were told the shuttle would take us to the mall and restaurants but that wasn't the case. Thankfully they allowed us to cancel the rooms without paying. I wish it weren't so terrible because the desk lady was sooo nice but it just stank. Literally !

This Best Western has a very competent Staff and easy Access. Bed was Excellent, Wake Up Call was functional and Room Cost was Very Reasonable. Close to many good Restaurants. I ate at Pappa's Seafood about two miles North of the Best Western. Superb!!

The hot water was non existent. The ceiling was leaking in the bathroom. Housekeeping didn't come until 5, I had to go to the front desk to get new towels. Stayed 3 nights. It was very noisy. The maintenance guys starting hammering early in the morning.

"Convenient location"

Stopped in for a quick Houston trip. This hotel was located near everything. 20 mins to downtown and the museum district. We got the king suite which sleet comfortably for my elder father. Rooms were clean and no old smells. Linens were clean as well as bed pillows. Restroom was huge and sufficient for my family. Free breakfast was great. The staff stocked plenty of food. Coffee was delish. The night staff checked me in quickly and we had a good night's rest. Thank you BW.

Since two years we stay at this hotel when arriving and leaving Texas because its situation is close to the airport but not only. We receive every time a very nice welcome and the staff at the reception desk is always ready to help. The rooms are claan and quiet. I posted last year nice comments about this hotel and I confirm this feeling.

nice people and room; self-serve breakfast so-so. Got in to IAH after 12:00 a.m. and found shuttle didn't run after that hour, though not specified on website. Then in a.m. signed up for 7:30 a.m. shuttle; the sheet said be there ten minutes early. Hotel called room at 7:20 and we got to lobby at 7:22 and shuttle had left- sheesh, come on now....

After an awful flight home from Italy with cancelled flights and numerous other issues we found ourselves with a 12 hour layover in Houston. This hotel was Fantastic and we could not of asked for anything better. They staff was fabulous. Our flight the next morning was super early and the staff made sure to prepare us a sack breakfast. Great touch. The room was comfortable. We weren't there for very long but the staff made it a great experience.

Good clean and close to amenities. Room was comfortable with two TV's, one in bedroom and another in a sitting area which we found very nice. Needs a variety of pillows as all provided where very FULL which not everyone can sleep on. Will stay again

Located near Houston Intercontinental Airport, this Best Western is very close to a major mall and other shopping areas. it's also only about 25 north of Houston, so getting to a game to watch the Astros is an easy drive. The hotel is very nice, the beds are wonderful, and the price is right. The towels are wonderful, but the toilet paper is on the cheap side. Overall, this is an excellent hotel, and I will stay here again.

room was noisy could hear upstairs and hallway traffic, other than that the place was very good, close to all needs I had at that time , very polite staff and clean. food around the corner, quick on and off highway and short drive to airport. shuttle service to airport was on time and no nonsense

Spacious room, tidy and clean. Ideal location close to the airport, but no airplane noise. Friendly staff Good free wifi Bed was good too, firm mattress.. Can really recommend this one. For this money you won't find better in my experience

Excellent breakfast and service. Strongly recommend...! Room was always clean and front desk very helpful. Free shuttle to the airport is another good thing to have if you need. They really know how to treat well their guests. Very happy with BW.

Hotel is conveniently located near George Bush airport with excellent shuttle service and very friendly and accommodating staff, but the room we were given was...well....brutal. We were located right behind the front desk, the room had a very strong, damp odour, and the AC was very noisy. In retrospect, we should have complained and requested another room, but we were so tired after a long flight. Sorry, Best Western, would never recommend this hotel....only giving it a 2 as the staff were so nice.

Staff was SUPER great. The area is in a great location, the owner was awesome. He went out of his way to pick us up at the airport when our flight arrived way late... the hotel is nice and clean. Breakfast was great too. The people at this hotel made our stay in Texas great.

"Clean hotel, close to airport"

Nice hotel, friendly staff and great shuttle bus driver. Didn't use the pool due to weather but it was clean and warm. Rooms were clean but hall ways smelled of smoke. Breakfast was fresh and warm, lots of choices, fruit, waffles, biscuits an gravy, eggs, bagels, cereal. Not much to do in the area but when available, they will use the shuttle to drive you and guests into town, we went to the mall, $20 round trip.

My friends and I booked a reí to a few cities in Texas. After staying at a best western and then an econo lodge, we decided to ditch the cheap "hotels" which were disgusting with horrible staff and head back to our nice best western. The last minute changes were worth it. Best westerns are great hotels and have great prices.

Hotel staff was great especially Tiffney at front desk. Room could use a good cleaning. Need to clean tile in bathroom especially at corners around the tub. Hole in bedspread. Breakfast food was just ok.

Excellent stay. We had a suite on the 3rd floor. It was clean, quiet, & very comfortable. Check in & out went smoothly. Breakfast was adequate but not our finest at a BW. A good location to rest up before you continue your travels. Very accommodating staff.

Excellent value for the price, pleasant staff and close to restaurants and amenities. This older hotel is well maintained, so no worry to book this property. We stayed for one night after our cruise vacation, and would consider going earlier next time for a pre-cruise holiday...hope the exchange rate from Canadian dollar to U.S. dollar improves. Check rates often as they seem to fluctuate.

Due to weather complications and our cruise ship docking so late, we missed our flight out of Houston and had to stay overnight. We were only looking for a place to lay our heads and chose to stay here because of the price, its close proximity to IAH airport, and the free airport shuttle. Our shuttle driver was really nice. The lobby and check-in area were clean and impressively modern. The dining area was clean and the hot breakfast was good. Check-in personnel were very friendly and helpful. The third floor however, was very disappointing and ancient; and the stench of cigarette smoke in the hallway was awful. While our room was large and contained many creature comforts (microwave, fridge, glasses, iron/board, 2 coffee makers, etc.), it was very dark and uncomfortable. The pillow top mattress sagged in the middle, and I found a 7-8 inch black hair lying between the sheets. I found a matching hair on the bathroom floor in front of the toilet. The floor looked like it hadn't been mopped in months and the tile on the wall next to the tub came crashing down, scaring the dickens out of me! The sitting room furniture was old, dusty and dirty.

The Best Western Plus is close to the Intercontinental airport in Houston, has a shuttle service and the ability to park you car while you are gone on your trip. There is a hot breakfast option which included eggs, sausage, gravy, waffle maker, hot and cold cereal, juice, coffe and tea,and bread selection. The room has a sitting area separate from the bedroom area with small refrigerator and microwave. The bathroom has a nice shower head. There is a tv in the sitting area and one in the bedroom area. Very spacious.

Staff friendly and attentive. Check in very easy and room very clean. Hardworking staff, exceptionally friendly and accomodating. Large breakfast selection and coffee was great. Coffee all day is a big PLUS for me. Stayed here twice and will be back. Room clean, bathroom clean, pool is nice but didn't use. Easy free parking, easy on and off hwy 59/69. Lots of restaurants close by, recommend Pappasitos and Saltgrass Steakhouse.

Our incoming flight was cancelled so we were 24 hours late and the whole reservation was cancelled. Staff could not have been more helpful getting our vacation back on track - Can only give hotel 10 out of 10 across the board

Very warm welcome by staff. Nice clean lobby and breakfast area. Staff starts breakfast early for early flight guest . Quite and peaceful night sleep and nice bountiful new towels. Room was very clean. Will stay there again.

Rooms are out of date, in poor condition, and not clean. Leaking roof on the second floor in a 3 floor hotel. Front counter was rude and if I could of I would of switched hotels. Location is great and close to the airport. They have a shuttle that only runs between certain hours.

Great place to stay if you are flying out of or into Houston International. Staff is helpful and friendly with questions asked about the area and airport. Shuttle gets to airport quickly and picks you up on return.

No A/C - moved to a new room and got no TV, no internet, blood stain on the shower curtain, boogers on the bathroom wall, long black hairs in the bed, stinky elevator, poorly lit parking lot, clerk had no idea how to give me airline miles instead of hotel points for the stay. I won't be returning to this Best Western.

Nice clean hotel!! Comfortable bed, nice sitting area in room. Breakfast is advertised as continental, but it was more than that. On the day we were there it had the usual waffles, bagels, muffins, cereal, but also included sausage patties, scrambled eggs, and biscuits and gravy. Breakfast was good. Very convenient to the airport. Hotel was awesome especially for the price!! Would definitely return!

The shuttle pickup from the hotel was very prompt. Warning: early morning shuttle to airport is shared with other hotels so make sure you sign up when you check in since there are limited seats. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast is fairly typical for this type of hotel. There are limited options for dinner. Fast food and Waffle House are only options within walking distance. A few restaurants will deliver to hotel. Menus are at front desk.

We stayed in this hotel when arriving in Texas and received a warm welcoming. When we left we said to the attendant that we were not sure about the date we would come back four weeks later and she said she booked the room so that we would have to contact her only if we wanted to cancel or change this date. When we came back, she had the room ready for us, no need to wait for the checkin' hour usually at 3pm. This was our second stay in this hotel and we'll sure come back again in the future

Don't forget to confirm your shuttle in advance or via cell. E-mail is not enough. They don't have a regular service, so otherwise you'll wait until hell is frozen. Hotel is close to the airport, rooms are not bad and the staff is friendly.

Had a great stay. It was next to a Waffle House and Sonic, both within walking distance. Did not go to the Waffle House due to the breakfast was great at the hotel and free. The room was great and I slept good.

This hotel is wonderfully close to Bush IAH; however, I never heard any airplane noise. It's also close to U.S. 59/I-69 with easy access north to Humble and Kingwood and south to Houston. The hotel itself is lovely, and the rooms are very spacious and clean. The beds are great, too, and the towels are the big, fluffy ones. I've stayed here several times, and the staff is always friendly and ready to help. Great hotel! Great location!

Great little hotel very close to the airport. Gabby at the reception was super friendly , knowledgable and helpful, suggesting restaurant options in the area and even offering to arrange for taxis and providing menus. The room is comfortable (average), clean and all we needed. They have a nice looking outside pool area and a great breakfast area. Our bathroom door would not close properly, which was not a big deal but.... One thing to note, they do offer a free shuttle service from the airport but unlike many of the other hotels you do have to call and arrange this as they do not have a scheduled shuttle. We were not told this by Expedia when we booked and there were no signs at the airport to tell you which hotels have a scheduled pick up and which don't so had a long wait until we figured this out, but once we did all was well. Lots of fast food style food options in the area, we ended up ordering in Chinese food as suggested by Gabby at reception and it was fantastic. Overall nice hotel, I'd stay here again.

I had the pleasure of staying here several different times during the month of August cause my Company was doing work at the new Dicks Sports store at the Mall, Martha M. always made you feel at home and would go out of her way to accommodate us when we would arrive before the normal check in time so we could drop our stuff off before heading to the job site. The rooms are clean, comfy and quiet and the rates are very reasonable.

If a volunteer at the airport offers to phone your Best Western hotel to say you are ready to be collected do make sure they have called the correct BW. We didn't, nor did we see the incorrect address on the outside of the minibus. We had just flown in from the UK, but that was no excuse. Check in was quick and easy. Nice young lady on reception. She was also very efficient, as when I phoned from the room to say we had a dirty toilet and dead cockroach in the bathroom she was up to us like a shot to move us to a different room. The room was typical BW with a comfortable bed. Breakfast was again standard BW. Shame about the bathroom as I would have rated higher otherwise. We have received an apology from the Manager for which I am grateful.

The hotels is very clean and the staff is so helpful , they also have a shuttle service to the from the airport. We also had a 22 hour lay over and they help us with our luggage by keeping it in the office so we could go site seeing.

"Smelly hotel"

This place looks good from far but it is far from good. Out front it smells like backed up plumbing and mildew. In the reception are the smell seemed to go away. Got out of the elevator and figured I was on the wrong floor it smelled like cigarette smoke. Nope that's my floor. Apparently the smoking floors ventilate to the non smoking floors!! My room smelled like it had been smoked in right before I went into the room. I literally looked for the ashtray.

This hotel was very clean, they had a very nice breakfast selection. Each area of the hotel was very nicely kept. And the staff was exceptional. We stayed there for 6 days and they all became our friends by the end of our stay. I would highly recommend this location and will definitely come back!

We travelled to Houston for cancer treatment and surgery. We were out of our element surrounding and it was nice to be in an environment where the staff took care of our needs at a high level and the accommodations were perfect and s well maintained as any place we've ever stayed while traveling. This hotel was awesome, the staff treated us just like family. They held our luggage as we arrived way too early (9:00am) to check in. After returning from a day at the Houston Space museum ($45.00 Uber ride) the room was exactly what we were looking for... large, clean, cable tv, microwave, mini fridge, iron with board, in-room coffee, cold a/c and dark when the curtains were pulled. Our room was just steps from the pool and hot tub. Breakfast in the morning was plentiful including but not limited to a selection of yogurts, cereals, fruit, bagels, juices, coffee, sausage, waffles, and biscuits with gravy. The next morning the staff helped with our arrangements down to Galveston for our cruise which was great. Walking distance from the hotel is a waffle house, convenience store, pizza (Fox den) and more. I recommend this hotel to anyone.

Great experience, the staff was very kind and helpful. The shuttle takes you to the airport which is very close. The wifi works perfectly well and the breakfast is complete. It is comfortable and has all it says.

Hotel is clean, the room large and comfortable. Pool/Patio area very nice. Breakfast very good. The staff was absolutely great. I travel to the IAH area often for business and have stayed at many of the hotels nearby. This trip I brought my 13 year old grand-daughter with me and she really enjoyed the pool and breakfast. Will definitely choose this property again.

Corridors smelled of Cigarette smoke and Must. Must sign a Non smoking agreement on check in. Obviously the rule is not enforced in the corridors. Rooms are of a good BW standard. Breakfast is standard BW. Shuttle service to from the airport was a little slow but adequate. Front desk attendant was very pleasant and helpful both on check in and check out

"Bit old and drab but comfortable bed."

This was the last hotel I could find when a rain storm mucked up lots of flights that night, so just after midnight managed to get through on one of those pick up phones at Houston Int. Airport and supposedly get their last bed. Airport pickup van duly arrived (friendly driver) and got to hotel. Hotel seemed somewhat old and a bit smelly, room showing its age a bit, but comfortable bed. Because accommodation was tight, price seemed very high for this standard of hotel, but the hotel outside swimming pool was very clean. No restaurant or bar on site, except for a somewhat average free breakfast. Probably lucky to find a room close to the airport that night but it wouldn't be my first pick if wanting a room near the airport. Staff were reasonably friendly.

Nice room for the price. bed was a little hard for me. The staff was knowledgeable of the area and friendly. Hall way on third floor had a hint of smoke. The room smelled smoke free. The location was close to airport and to shopping and eating areas. Over all good value for the money.

Our group was stuck in Mexico for half the day and Houston until midnight, and Cassey, the owner of the hotel, came and picked us up, got us a room, and allowed us to stay until our afternoon flight. Extremely accomidating to our issue at the airport, personally picked us up at 1am to get a shuttle! Great breakfast and a great room with amazing water pressure. The room was comfortably air conditioned and had fresh towels and an fresh linens for everyday. The shuttle was great to bring us to the airport the next day. The 24 hour Waffle House next door was also a plus!

My stay at best western was the truly the "best" . They provided me with quality service and a clean room by far one of the best hotels around. The staff was very helpful throughout my entire stay. I enjoyed how friendly the staff was especially the manager Martha. She was very well spoken and well mannered. Throughout my stay they were very busy due to bad weather in the area but no matter what they all had smiles on their faces and were prepared to help even with the smallest of thing. Whenever i come back i will make sure to stay at this hotel!

Excellent service! The rooms were impeccable. The breakfast was delicious, couldn't have asked for anything more. Definitely would stay here, again, and recommend it 100% The rooms are beautiful, and the pool is spacious. This location is open 24/7 we got here around 3am when our flight landed and were scared no hotel was going to be open, but we were wrong. Amazing overall.

"Good place to sleep after long haul flight."

After a 14 hour flight we just wanted an affordable hotel close to Houston airport that we could easily drive to, have a sleep and leave the next morning. This hotel meets all of these criteria, assuming you get the navigation correct this hotel should be about 5 minutes from the rental car center at the airport. With our deprived sleep and GPS still thinking it was in another country (Houston rental car center is a large covered multi-story car park - need to make a direction decision within minutes of leaving rental center) we got the navigation wrong. We were able to get to sleep at a very early time and had a good night's sleep despite the hotel being surrounded by many busy freeways and also being directly under the flight path to the airport. The buffet breakfast had a good selection of food and is in a good sized room. There is a very limited number of restaurants within easy walking distance, a Sonic is next to the hotel, a Red Box is fairly close but there is not a sidewalk for the entire walk.

Stayed here prior to a cruise with my parents, and really wanted to praise the staff! My parents flew in a day earlier than me, and Martha, Casey, and Mr.Montoyo took such good care of them! Turns out, my parents had to spend another night after the cruise as well, because of the storms/floods, and, again, they took care of them like family! Great hotel to stay.....they will take you to restaurants, or the mall......very clean and safe. I would stay there again! Thanks for taking care of my parents!!!

We stayed for a night before flying out the next morning. The area was experiencing flooding and storms. Staff at the hotel especially Hulia was wonderful. Always a smile in her voice. Room was clean. Morning buffet was out by 5:30. We used the shuttle to the aurport and left our car parked at the hotel during our absence. Return pick up without lengthy wait for the shuttle. Recommend this hotel.

I had the privilege of staying this BW during the historic floods in Houston, TX. My stay began with the excellent customer service and while I was not able to sleep due to the storms and loss of electricity, the next morning the desk clerk, Martha, asked if she should hold my room knowing the storms would cause maximum occupancy. Martha exemplifies what other hotels strive for. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

We were only supposed to stay here one night at the end of our cruise before flying home. Houston is currently experiencing a historic severe storm which caused flash flooding and roads & airports closed everywhere. The owner has personally driven us to nearby restaurants and airport. The staff has been extremely friendly and even though were stranded here for an extra two days, we are all happy to be here at this hotel. The best customer service and hospitality. Highly recommended.

"Great service close to the airport "

This is a very good hotel option for an overnight stopover. The hotel is a brief five minute drive from IAH on the efficient and timely shuttle. Staff are friendly and go out of their way to help out - our flight wasn't until five pm and they stored our bags and arranged for a shuttle outside of the regular schedule. Rooms are clean, comfortable and functional, with both a fridge and a microwave should you want them. There's a free breakfast included with a range of hot and cold items, juices and coffee. The breakfast room itself could use being somewhat larger as we found it very busy and couldn't get a place to sit. Also worth mentioning, compared to other hotels we've stayed at near to IAH, there was at least a couple of dining options close by. Nothing special; a waffle house, a couple of burger joints and a surprisingly good pizza place, however that's four times as much as the last place we stayed. Overall, definitely recommend this as a great option for that airport stopover.

Shuttle came and picked us up in a reasonable time and returned us in the early am to the airport. Hotel seems in need of an update but was quite suitable for the closeness to the airport and the cost. Staff was all pleasant and good coffee in the am even though it was too early for breakfast, We were only doing a quick stay for a long overnight layover.

We booked an overnight here before we flew out for a 12 day cruise back to Houston from San Juan. It worked out perfectly! DJ took us to the airport, Martha took good care of us during our stay, and Eleazar picked us up all done professionally and in a timely manner. Drop off and pick up at the airport couldn't have been more efficiently done. And my car was right there under their camera the whole time we were gone. Bonus! It was cheaper than the parking we were going to do nearby! Thanks to all three of you!

"Excellent Hotel"

We got stuck in Houston an extra day due to an airline mistake. Despite the last minute changes, Julia and Martha were both very helpful and did everything possible to make the stay comfortable. The service was excellent, the rooms were comfortable, and the shuttle took us to the airport even on very little notice. Next time we're in Houston, we will be returning to this hotel.

This is a great place to stay when you are near the Houston Airport. The customer service is exceptional! For comfort, get the king bed with living room. The pool was inviting and the breakfast is a plus for busy travelers. It has a shuttle service to the airport and that is included with your stay.

"Convenient"

The hotel is great, actually. Perfect when stopping over while traveling with free and timely airport shuttle and free breakfast. The issue is that there is nothing else to do. We ended up walking to a little fast food drive through (Sonic) for burgers, picked up some beer at the gas station and went back to the hotel room and watched TV! Not exotic, but it's not supposed to be. Served the purpose.

"freeway close"

Quiet hotel. Next to freeway so easy to get around. Waffle House next to hotel but didn't eat there and gas station very close, not much else directly around hotel. Plenty of parking even for big trucks. Rooms very clean and everything worked. Hot breakfast good internet. The only problem was the satellite tv was very bad and didn't get fixed for two days otherwise was a good stay.

The fan in the bathroom sounded like 747 on takeoff very irritating woke everybody up if bathroom lite turned on likely woke up neighbours also the tv satellite was acting up but outside of the fan (a big irritant)the place was on a bar with other BW plus hotels

"It´s okey"

We had to book new hotel in hurry within minutes before coming to Houston and this seemed okey enough. And it was. It was close to airport, had shuttle (we only used it to get back to IAH) and didn´t seem too shady. Hotel is ok for money, nothing too fancy and would benefit from little up do but after long flight, we had good night sleep before traveling on next morning. Now few notes for families traveling with infants: - they don´t have any highchairs - they don´t have any babybeds Breakfest is so and so, very similar to other it´s kind - gives you something before getting out but I wouldn´t advertise it. I must say about these eco-policys: they are cool and something we all should think when traveling, but when you are at the airporthotel where you would think most guests stay one / two nights, I´d think it would matter more weather you use styrofoam / paper plates, cutlery and cups than it does on towels. That is why I have said they don´t have eco-policy.

We had to continue our travel and needed a place to stay close to the airport. The Best Western PLUS Intercontinental Airport Inn was just what we needed. The rooms were comfortable, the price was right, we had free WiFi, an early free breakfast and shuttle service to the airport. Very pleased!

"Do not stay here"

Stop over stay en-route to Costa Rica. Do not recommend this hotel. We flew in at 1145 I called ahead twice left a message to pick us up at this time. Nobody took the message and we were stranded at the airport. The HIlton man drove us out of kindness and a big tip! The front desk was not helpful. No apologies argued with me about it. The rate I paid was higher than what reservations had quoted. The rooms smelled of mildew. Bathrooms were not clean. For the price that we paid it was terrible.

"Stuck in Houston"

Our flight from Belize was delayed In Houston due to bad weather. We were stuck in the airport the first night which was a nightmare. Luckily we were able to find this hotel during the night and were picked up by the shuttle around 7:00 am. Even thought check in time is 3:00 pm, we thought sitting in the lobby would be better that staying at the airport. When we arrived at the hotel the staff was wonderful, Our room was ready by the time we finished breakfast. The room was wonderful, lots of hot water, comfortable beds and great amenities. You made our unexpected stay in Houston bearable. Thank you Best Western staff.

"fitness center needs updating"

I always ask about the fitness center before I book a hotel this time I didn't. If the fitness center is not a big deal its ok. I was very disappointed the machines were out of date. the hotel itself and the staff were good. the price was good and its really close to IAH.

Hotel was okay, not a lot of food options nearby. Biggest issue was that a taxi was requested for a early morning pick up and a private car service was sent in lieu. Cost was almost double what a metered taxi cost. NOT an acceptable option! Arrange your own transportation if outside of shuttle hours.

"Stuck in Texas"

Our flight from Central America was delayed in Houston for an unknown length of time. We found this hotel in the early morning hours and arrived around 7:00 am. Check-in is 3:00 pm, but we decided sitting in a hotel lobby is better than sitting in an airport. The folks here could not have been nicer or more thoughtful. Our rooms were ready for us before breakfast was over. Lots of hot water, wonderfully comfortable beds, and really soft towels. Thank you Best Western.

"Bright spot in a delayed trip home"

Traveling back from Mexico and caught s horrible snowstorm stopping air travel to Chicago Ohare. After being treated horribly by United and standing in lines forever only to be told we'd need to be in Houston, we made reservations here from the airport courtesy phone. The hotel shuttle is efficient, the rooms reasonable and clean, staff friendly and helpful. I'd recommend staying if your in need of an airport hotel! United take note!!!

"Close, but not too close to airport"

The hotel is close to the airport, but not so close as to hear jet engines all night long. The room was spacious and comfortable. The price was reasonable, but circumstances did not permit us to take advantage of all the amenities that they provided. The staff was friendly and helpful when bad weather forced an unplanned overnight stay. The only drawback is lack of nearby eating facilities when stranded without a vehicle and forced to walk to restaurant under rainy conditions.

This was booked to stay the day we arrived and the night before we left via IAH. It was about a 12 minute cab ride from the airport. We were told they would send the shuttle, but they didn't tell us where we needed to be to catch it! So we waited in the wrong spot for forty minutes. Take a cab, save having to walk all over the airport and stuff. Upon arrival, we were given a room, and the door once opened wouldn't even close because the latch plate the door was to close in was broken, called the front desk, said she would be right up, but she never showed. So we went to the front desk and got a new room. When we checked in for the stay before flying out, same person working tried to put us in the same room with a broken door latch. Won't stay again. I expected better from the Best Western name.

Basic hotel. Friendly, helpful staff. Great for overnight close to IAH. Not a place where I would aim to stay for a long vacation, since it was fairly dated. The price was very good considering the alternatives, so value for money was great.

"Affordable, clean and quiet + close to the airport"

Like the Best Western's for their loyalty program when we aren't looking for fancy getaways. This property is a little dated but has good bones. We were on the second floor right over the lobby and didn't hear a peep all night. Our room was a generously sized suite with a king and separate sitting room. Easy access from the freeway and super easy to get to the airport. Pappas' seafood was just 10 minutes away to the north and was a great find for dinner.

"Comfortable for a Short Term Stay"

The lobby is small and very outdated. Breakfast starts early which is nice and the driver for shuttle is super funny and endearing. We told him we were going to Guayabitos, Mexico and he told us all about his last trip there. The rooms are comfortable, but bathtubs very dated and heavy on the silicone, but nonetheless clean. It was good for an overnight stay on a long layover.

"Horrible"

How can anyone stay here? The overwhelming stench of mold and fungus in the room gave me a migraine within 15 minutes. Even the smell in the hallway wasn't much better. Wet foot fungus and mold is not something you should spend hours inhaling. I'm surprised the health department hasn't shut them down. Excellent reviews? What are you used to: barracks? Horrible. If I'd have had a car, I'd have preferred to sleep in the parking lot. I left. No matter th cost- it can't compare with your health.

I really like Best Western....right off 59....close to IAH and North Houston. Basically affordable, decent cable and internet. Breakfast...not fancy but includes eggs and meat products...plenty of decent coffee and creamers. Internet is fine but not exceptions. Staff is very nice and helpful and efficient when necessary. Definitely my affordable choice in the Houston area!

After an 14 hr trip from Fiji, I really loved the comfort and quiet of this facility. Right inside the airport grounds, next to major hiway and close to restaurants ans shopping this BW has it all.There are several other options close by, but I strongly recommend this one..

Spent the night at this hotel on our way to Costa Rica. Shuttle service was prompt, front desk staff very efficient and friendly. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice and it started early enough that we could eat before our 6:30 shuttle

Very clean; organized; always someone to answer questions, great check out. A/C was perfect - beds were great. This hotel is easily accessible in walking distance to The Waffle House, and several other eateries. Also, there were pharmacy items along with snack items for purchase at the hotel.

Excellent hotel and the staff is wonderful. Not much around the hotel but they will take you anywhere within reason and come back and pick you up. Breakfast is good and the sun is on the pool every afternoon.

Very friendly front desk and shuttle drivers. Hotel is a bit dated and hallways smelled like smoke, but room was clean with nice features. Good location, close to the airport and mall. Would stay again.

We are happy to hear that you were pleased with our staff and our guest rooms. I do, however, apologize for the smoke smell in the hallway. Being next to an International airport we do still keep some smoking rooms and try not to rent the non-smoking rooms on that level unless they're really needed. I hope this doesn't stop you from returning to our hotel as we truly would like to leave you with a better experience of our hotel. Hotel always met expectations clean comfortable close to airport and the ease of getting to hotel and leaving very easy making trips to airport nice experience employees helpful and friendly . if this comment is going to keep me from posting then I will get off because I can't think of anything else hotel very good and will continue to make my reservations there

"Enjoyed my night stay!"

We chose this hotel obviously for the location to Bush airport. We didn't spend much time here as we arrived late in the evening & had an early flight out. But it was a nice, clean, & large room! They have a good continental breakfast with ample seating room & a nice range of options. Overall we enjoyed our stay & plan to make this our hotel for future travels out of Bush!

"Let's go see the family"

Hotel was clean. Staff was very friendly. Very close to George Bush Airport. We were visiting family in Porter, TX and were knotted 10 minutes away. Close to many things which was great since we were entertaining 3 kids from ages 2-7 years. Only 2 cons, the hallways smell like cigarette smoke, could definitely use air fresheners and the pool was a little small. They use what use to be a hot tub as a "kiddie pool". All in all I would go back for another stay.

"Enjoyed my stay"

I would recommend this hotel for short stays and/or business trips in the Houston airport area. There are not a lot of restaurants or bars within walking distance of the hotel but the rooms were large, clean and the staff was excellent. I would stay here again.

As there is not many places to eat within walking distance to our hotel, we do offer shuttle to the nearby mall/bars/restaurant for a roundtrip of $15 (shuttle runs til midnight) so maybe that could be something you can take advantage of next time. WAKE-UP CALL DID NOT HAPPEN. This can be a disaster for meeting deadlines. Driver of transport - seems not too happy. Although I paid total US$5.00 to/fro. Close proximity to airport. Everything else was alright.
