"Nice hotel "

After 8 days on the island it was nice to see a smiling face at check in. TJ was smiling and funny as we checked in. Room was clean and spacious. We stay here every year and never been disappointed. Free airport shuttle is nice also.

"Missed flight"

Had some flight issues and needed to overnight. This property is close to the airport (IAH) and they have 24 hour complimentary shuttle. Just a few miles from airport so they get there pretty quick. Complimentary breakfast was good. Staff was friendly. Hotel rate was very reasonable. If I had a negative it would be they could do a better job when the vacum the rooms.

Fantastic Rooms Great Location But don't expect to be treated like anyone more than just another body showing up at their door The Front desk Agent Snickered over a bottle of water and some peanuts or my points knowing i arrived there famished at midnight due to a cancelled flight .The next morning i called the desk for a toothbrush and it was more like getting a tooth pulled when i asked if it could be taken to my room it never arrived and i had to retrieve it an hour later. Then came breakfast the item trays were nearly empty and i wasn't about to scrape the tray bottoms for a meal so i i asked the front desk agent to kindly have the trays replenished and was told whatever is there is all there is.. OH .SNAP THE STAFF IS INCOMPETENT AND UNACCEPTABLE . AND THIS REVIEW IS COMING FROM A DIAMOND MEMBER I USUALLY STAY ON MY BUSINESS TRIPS AT BW THIS WAS A STUNNER TO SAY THE LEAST

If you want to be treated with respect and by a courteous staff this is your stop. If you want luxury and a well maintained home away from home this is your stop. All of this without making a dent in your pocket book this is definitely your stop. Stop stay and feel the peace this place has to offer I did and I keep coming back over and over for 7 years now.

The staff is friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable to get a good nights rest for an early morning departure. The van was on time to shuttle to the airport and I appreciated the to go breakfast bag on the counter prior to leaving. Great stay! I will definitely stay again.

My husband and stayed here two nights for a business trip and we were extremely happy with our stay! The hotel from the minute you walk in is extremely nice. The staff was very helpful and polite. Our room was large and very clean. We had a microwave,minifridge, coffeemaker, a desk area and a sofa. The bed was a large King bed and was very comfortable.Housekeeping cleaned our room and gave us fresh towels both days. Breakfast was hot and fresh and had a nice variety to choose from. It is very close to the airport so you can see the planes take off over the hotel, They have a free airport shuttle every 30 mins (or sooner if you let them know) Overall it was an excellent place to stay and if we are ever in Houston again we will stay here!

Our family stayed here recently during a very long layover at IAH. It took us five minutes to get there from the airport. (They have a shuttle but we got a cheap car rental.) The rooms are spacious and clean, beds were comfortable, and the wi-fi was pretty good. Check in and check out were effortless and we will definitely return if we ever get stuck on a long layover again!

This is a great place to stay friendly staff, very nice rooms ,very clean ,breakfast is very good always hot and fresh.I will continue to stay each time I come to Houston. Easy check in and out never any problems and is a great location.

United Airlines delayed our plane 11 hours to make a one day trip into two day trip. It has happy before with other Airlines. Oh and United Airlines ran out of Hotel Vouchers too. So I had to pay for two Hotels that night. One in Houston and one in Canada. Got to the Best Western Plus JFK Inn at 1 am their time. I was one hour behind all the next day too. Breakfast over at 9 was just arriving, then checked out at 12 instead of 11. Almost missed my plane the next day at 4 pm their time. Finally caught up with the rest of the world at 3:30 pm. Thank you Houston for all the laughts.

"Airport Shuttle"

We needed a hotel near the airport for one night. We were pleasantly surprised that the airport shuttle picked us up within 15min of us calling them. Our room was clean and renovated. The hotel is located next to a little strip mall that has several restaurants and a liqueur store. We would return again.

We needed a hotel for one night near the airport. This one worked out great - it is very clean with great customer service. The complimentary breakfast offered standard items for this type of hotel, which gave plenty of options to start one's day. The hotel also has a shuttle service that operates on a schedule.

This hotel was perfect for a quick overnight stay for an early morning flight. Excellent location, great price, nice lobby area, clean/spacious room. (We left before breakfast was served so can't comment on that.) Best part was the shuttle/parking service. When checking in, I asked the front desk clerk about suggestions for airport parking, and she told me about the hotel's shuttle service. I was able to leave my car at the hotel and shuttle to/from the airport for less $ than any other airport parking. The shuttle runs every 30 minutes from the hotel to the airport. Then after my return flight, I called the front desk and they sent a van right away to bring us back to our car. VERY efficient! Overall, I will definitely be back and recommend this hotel to all friends and family traveling out of IAH!

"Extremely poor customer service"

I am a Best Western Platinum member. There is a review about this hotel by CanadianCT a few days before mine. I was one of the parties mentioned in that review - the one with the family. I already had a booking for 2 nights through the Best Western website - that particular night (Sat night) and the night before (Fri night). My reservation was for 2 queen beds room. My plans had changed the previous day (ie for Fri) and I was not able to make it. I called up the hotel and informed them of my updated plans. I was told that I *may* have to pay anyway to which I agreed to as long as I was assured of accomodation on Saturday. The lady confirmed this - even indicated that she will do the best she can to cancel for that day altogether if possible to avoid a charge. I showed up at the hotel at around 11:30 PM Saturday night to check in which is when the trouble really began. Although the hotel's IT system was down, phone lines were down (I wonder how the lady at the desk was talking to IT support on the phone) and CanadianCT was already being denied her room when I arrived. I was asked about my reservation details and then was told that I had no reservation in my name at all. I presented my reservation number and it still did not show up on the computer which had started working by that time. The lady at the desk then offered me a King Bed room which was available as long as I paid in cash. I was able to scramble my and my wife's purses to cough up the cash and was checked in. I explained my situation with the 2 nights booking and the lady double checked her system and confirmed I would not be charged at all as the reservation was completely canceled as per the system. When the IT systems came up, the pilot showed up and was processed ahead of me and CanadianCT, ie reverse order of our arrivals. Checkout was also problematic with unexplained charges against my name which were waived off. All throughout the conversation the manager kept telling me her version of the story which was different from the actual sequence of events and I had to keep correcting her facts. I wonder how much of that she really understood as she kept telling me I called up the 1-800 number to make changes and shifted the blame to them. The problem is : I never ever called up the 1-800 number! The feeling I got when I spoke with the manager was that she was only truly interested in keeping her profits, not genuinely interested in rectifying the concern.

Due to that outage we were unable to give you the proper room type and/or to verify reservations causing inconvenience not only to you but a few of our guests. We hope that the compensation given to you by management after clearing the confusion was satisfactory.

This Best Western is a convenient choice for anyone traveling through IAH. The 24 hour shuttle ran flawlessly and both my friend and I (whose flight left at 5AM) made our flights with ease. Susana handled our check in and was very kind and courteous. Room was immaculate and modern. The free breakfast was amazing, I loved the Texas shaped waffles!

"Worst experience I have ever encountered"

I had high expectations- a 24 hour shuttle - awesome and much appreciated with a 11:30 pm arrival. Problem....the phone lines for this particular hotel were down. Called the main reservation number - they couldn't get through. Called another Best Western in the area - she too couldn't get through. Suggested that I call a cab as i would likely be reimbursed. Show up at hotel with taxi receipt - no - sorry - it's not our fault - the phones were out because of weather (but yet I was able to contact other hotels in the area).....hmmmmm....20$ out. Fine - I'll check in - well unless you have cash our credit card doesn't work (it/s now 12:00 pm). With limited cash that wasn't an option. After speaking to the manager who confirmed I would not be reimbursed for the cab, the manager (Sanjay) offered the only solution - we will cancel your reservation for no charge and get a shuttle to take you back to the airport. Are you KIDDING?!?!?!?! Another customer came in - same story. We asked if we could stay the night and run the credit card the next morning - No - not possible. I pitied the young woman at the desk who was basically having to turn away customers at midnight. She tried running the card again - now a family of 4, myself, a pilot and another woman are in the lobby. Thank goodness the system ran our cards. I am truly astounded as to the horrible service offered by the manager Sanjay - the woman at the desk did her best to relay the information as nicely as she could - but we are all basically being told our solution was to cancel the room (for which there would be no fee - I guess we were to be thankful we wouldn't be charged for the cancellation since none of us had sufficient cash to pay for the room). They would even be kind enough to drive us back to the airport - so I guess we could sleep on the floors by the checked luggage carrousel. I am flabbergasted as well that I was not reimbursed the 20$ for the taxi - if you're phone doesn't work and you're expecting customers, I would think it would be a safe bet to drive your 24-hour shuttle to the airport to see if people are gathering. Thankfully the credit card machine started to work so we can check in. At this point, I'm not exactly filled with trust that they will fulfill their shutltle services tomorrow, so we shall see. I will NEVER EVER again step foot in a Best Western - especially this one. I have travelled extensively, and have never encountered a manager who seems to care so little about customer service.

"Nice, quiet, close to George Bush Airport"

This was a very quiet place, with attractive rooms. Clean, and close to the airport. The a.c. unit was a little older, and the controls weren't very precise. The fan didn't run like it was supposed to. There are free airport shuttles that run every 20 minutes or so, making this a convenient location if you're flying into George Bush airport. Lots of restaurants close by.

Staff was very good. Friendly and pleasant and helpful. The room was nice, clean and very roomy. Even had a comfortable chair to sit in! Definitely would stay again. Breakfast was a good combination of cereal, fruit, beverages and hot dishes. Overall a good place that compares well against much higher priced motels.

when i arrived at the hotel the clerk was very friendly and checked us in and directed us to our room,the room was very clean and well supplied with coffee make and the bathroom was nice and clean we had to go to the airport and get our granddaughtrer , the hotel had a shuttle bus to take us there and come pick us up which was very convient

We stayed one night because of its proximity to the airport. The staff were super friendly and helpful and the complimentary shuttle was brilliant - runs every half hour and they dropped us at the car rental when we left. Room was spacious and very good breakfast. Some aircraft noise but it's extremrly well situated for the airport! Would definitely stay there again

My family and I spent a couple of nights here before our cruise and we had a great time. The shuttle came and picked us up at the airport very quickly and check in was a breeze. Breakfast was great and the staff was wonderful. Our room was clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

"Close to the Airport"

This is a very modern hotel and looks like it caters to the business traveler. The lobby and rooms are very stylish and look brand new. The front desk staff were all friendly and helpful when we asked about places to eat close by. Of course because of its' location, it is noisy from the planes, but that is not unexpected. The breakfast room offered lots of choices and you could even make a breakfast burrito if you wish. Because of the location, there are not lots of things around but they offer free shuttle to the airport and it was clean and fresh. Great stay.

"Great rooms"

The hotel is very clean with modern decoration. They offer free WiFi and breakfast from 6am - 9am. I would have left a 5 star review and I had decided the Header would read "Above and beyond expected". One employee ruined it for us. We had misunderstood the breakfast time, so we were at the breakfast bar at 8:55 and there was no eggs. We waited a few minutes until the attendant lady showed up and we asked if more eggs were coming. She said breakfast is over and started taking stuff away without giving us the chance to at least get what was available. I wanted to leave a very low rating just because of that, but it wouldn't have been fair to others. They also have a free airport shuttle. With what I saw the breakfast had good selections too. I believe if they are so strict for the breakfast time, they should make sure everything is available right to the end then. The room was large and beds were very comfortable.

Very close to the airport. Got in late past midnight . Had no issues at all during stay. Room clean, internet worked. Breakfast had hot items such as make it yourself waffles, eggs and bacon. Other cold items as well

I thought there must be something wrong with this hotel because of the price. Read the good reviews on TripAdvisor and booked it. Definitely a decent stay for the price, Our only complaint was that most of the breakfast room tables were dirty and no one around.

Very convient hotel, located very neAr airport and rental cars. Restaurants were just 1 minute walk from hotel. Staff friendly, rooms big, liked the fitness room, only complaint did not get major network channels on tv.

Good room and comfy bed but thin walls to hallway where I hear people talking as they walk by. Short walk to restaurants and bar next door to hotel. Very close to airport and plenty of parking. Would stay here again.

Nice hotel very convenient to IAH. They offer 24 hour shuttle to and from airport that was nice.The only down side to this area is not many choices for eating, found 3 fast food places and a local diner close by was it.

The hotel was comfortable, clean and very well maintained, it served a very good buffet breakfast, and provided airport shuttle service. There were a couple of restaurants down the street. Some of which were not open over the weekend. One thing that they did not have in the rooms or at the front desk was a cork screw to open a bottle of wine. We went to the liquor store near by and bought one which we left at the front desk for other guests to use. We could not have taken it with us on our flight that day.

"Better Than Expected"

It's been awhile since I stayed at a Best Western. My budget for work trips allows me to stay at "nicer" properties. But since this was such a quick overnight (9 pm - 5 am,) I decided to go with something that was close to the airport. I was pleasantly surprised with the clean and modern decor at this Best Western. It certainly did not remind me of my mid-90's experiences with this hotel chain, where you might find dilapidated rooms and grungy pools. The only difference between this property and somewhere like a Hampton Inn or Hilton was the lack of an on-site restaurant and bar/room service. However, there is a strip mall right behind the hotel with plenty of options (and a liquor store.) I'll have to reconsider my snobbish preconceptions of Best Western from now on!

Shopped for Brest price for one night stay and this was it. Nothing fancy but didn't want that anyway. Clean with adequate service and complimentary breakfast. Easy to,get in and out of Houston airport from here

Nice clean hotel with free breakfast. Booked my room with a Costco discount and paid under $80 total. There is a free shuttle and free breakfast from 6-9am. Would stay there again. It's newer and that shows.

"Nicest hotel for best price"

My husband and I needed somewhere to stay for just one night after our Western Caribbean cruise. Best Western has always been a good choice with us but this one exceeded our expectations. The staff were super friendly and helpful. When our room door wouldn't lock, the receptionist was completely apologetic (even though it wasn't her fault) and gave us a new room right away. The breakfast buffet was very nice... Everything was fresh and there was even a hot selection of scrambled eggs, sausage and bacon and wraps to make burittos, along with muffins, bagels, bread for toast, waffles, fruit, cereal, tea, coffee, juice, etc. The price for one night was very reasonable. The room was extremely comfortable and the bed was even nicer than the one on our cruise. There Was a little bit of air traffic noise being so close to Houston IAH airport but nothing major. There Was also a free shuttle service to the airport which ran every half an hour 24/7. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Good job Best Western!!!

"Under Renovation, but Still a Good Stay"

Because the entire first floor of the hotel was being reconstructed after the last hurricane/flood, there was a bit of downstairs chaos. But the staff was highly attentive and the upper floors were surprisingly quiet, so we had a very good rest and the next day used their shuttle service to the airport. The shuttle service was excellent.

Excellent airport hotel with nice rooms and satisfying breakfast. There is a small strip mall next door where we ate at an Italian restaurant. Very casual place but food was outstanding. I think it was called Tony's Patio.

I've stayed at Best Westerns across the country and this one is as good as it gets. Very accommodating the shuttle is always available. I would guess the only item I would like changed would be to have an indoor pool. But that is only needed three to four months out of the year in Houston. Other than that I would highly recommend this hotel.

Perfect for an overnight stay. I don't have anything negative to say about the hotel, except that if you are a really light sleeper, (I am not), then airplane noise from above MAY bother you. On the plus side, it is super close to IAH and cheap. Front desk personnel was very nice and accommodating. Room was very clean and comfortable. A/c worked great and quietly. Hotel grounds, lobby, and common places were very clean. Hotel is next to shopping center offering varying dining options. Shuttle was very prompt and driver friendly. Would definitely stay again when flying out of IAH and recommend to others.

We phoned for the shuttle bus twice and had to wait for over an hour. Check in and check out worked well. The room was a good size and clean. The heat/a.c. worked well. Noise was an issue as we could hear vehicle traffic, air planes and especially other guests who talked in the hallways. People in our area were knocking on doors and letting their doors slam shut well after midnight. The shower was difficult to use as the shower head would not stay in a stable position. Breakfast was okay and appreciated.

We stayed here for one night due to arrival of ice storm in Houston. It was very close to the airport, just a couple of miles away. There are several restaurants in a small strip mall right next door and we were able to eat lunch and dinner without using the car during the storm. The front desk was pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was very good. The bed and room was fine but I wish the pillows had been larger. Overall, a nice choice.

Our one night stay at your hotel gave us the rest we were seeking and the best service we have had in a long time, my kids truly enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was delicious, your beds are beyond soft and comfortable. The new modern look and style makes the stay even more enjoyable.

"Shuttle service has limited hours!"

Overall ok for one night, but when we booked we did it cause it was close to the airport and had a complimentary shuttle. Well, they conveniently forgot to mention it doesn't run at all hours. So when we called from the airport it was disappointing to hear that they were not picking us up. This should be clear on the hotel amenities/descriptions. Rooms are spacious. Breakfast lady and the shuttle driver next day made the difference, very nice and polite. Next time I will look for other options.

Dear Jorge, I would like to apologize for the inconvenience and misunderstanding with the shuttle, unfortunately I don't have enough information to find out when the incident happened. Our shuttle service runs 24 hrs a day 7 days a week and I don't see why we were not able to pick you up at the airport. Please accept my apologies and if you have time, I would like to know your departure date so I can do some research and find out what happened.

Rooms are good with comfortable beds and pillows. I like that the a/c heater unit has a fan only mode to help mask the airport departures which are very nearby. Clean hotel. Continental breakfast plus standard hot items. Peeve: cant have light in the bathroom without a loud vent fan running. Staff is very accomodating and knowledgable about area options. Several food choices within walking distance.

Stayed one night passing through Houston for a layover after flying for over 13 hrs. Only 5 mins from airport and they had a shuttle to take you to and from airport.The room was very clean and the bed was very nice.

Coming in at night, this was the perfect hotel location to spend the night after arriving. Breakfast was good, staff was super helpful and friendly, restaurants just next door. Rooms were clean and spotless and beds super comfortable. No back issues in the morning

Asked in advance for a room with a tub, arrived on a night when the hotel was not busy, and was told the only one available was a room right behind the reception desk, so passed on that to get a quiet room on higher floor not by the elevator and was given a room right next to the freeway. Some people just don't get it. Won't stay here again.

This hotel has a convenient complimentary shuttle to the nearly airport. It is clean and attractive. I appreciated the room which was close to the front desk as I have trouble walking long distances when I am tired. Although we stayed here one week apart (at the beginning and end of vacation), we were assigned the same room which was great.

Looks like everything is new inside and the room was a great size. Its the best grade B property I have staid at. Its not a Sheraton but great for its price. It is also the only hotel that had a free shuttle from the Airport at 12am in the morning. The hotel felt reallt clean amd I appreciated that! I would highly recommend this hotel and woukd stay there again.

This hotel is not only situated not far from the airport, but it is in walking distance to some good places to eat. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend anyone stay there. Plus the shower was hot!

It's no Hilton, but it was decent, rooms were a little dark and felt old, but bed was comfortable, shower had good pressure, had to wait for a while for the airport shuttle, I did not stay around for breakfast.

This is a very clean, fairly new, BW Plus within a couple miles of IAH. Rooms are nicely appointed with good mattresses, etc. Staff members were friendly. Breakfast is OK but not up to Hampton or HIE offerings. I'd definitely stay here again, and the rates mean you get good value.

Great hotel and ladies at the desk during evening check in were the best. Refreshing to actually deal with someone who doesn't seem to hate their job and what they do. Rooms were very clean and quiet even being close to airport. Shuttle was on time and worked out very well for early morning flight.

Stayed one night for a layover. Things went wrong with the shuttle and I ended up waiting for it for more then an hour after giving them a second call and finding out the staff had had a misunderstanding about my pickup due to a shift change. Not a good start, however I was very pleasantly surprised by the spacious room with the incredibly comfortable, big bed. Next to the room having a desk with chair, there was even a couch with a table. Nice touch. Bathroom was fine, clean and big enough. There was a fridge and a coffee machine, and even a microwave if I remember correctly! Checkin and checkout was easy and fast. Friendly staff. It is very close to a few restaurants which is convenient. Cons; The pool is not inviting since it is surrounded by the parking lot and right next to the busy road. I informed about the approximate price of a taxi to the willowbrook mall and was told it would be about $22. They ordered a taxi for me and I stupidly ignored there not being a meter in it and never asked for the price until we got there. It was $50. So a total of $100 instead of $44. Big difference, disappointing and so not a good taxi service to be used by the hotel. At breakfast I found out all cutlery, plates and bowls were disposable. This not only looks cheap, but considering they probably do this in all their hotels this provides a huge, unnecessary burden to the environment. Disappointing. Overall though, I was happy with my choice and I would return for sure.

We always stay at this particular Best Western when we travel. Rooms are always clean and staff is very friendly and accommodating. Prices are fair for what you get. We are there only for one night to catch flights the next day, so it works perfect for us.

Convent location. Only 10 minute shuttle ride. Scrumptious Breakfast, good coffee. Nearby to bars, Chinese, Mediterranean and Mexican food. Handy to city bus stop. Comfortable bed and well appointed room. Rose the receptionist was delightful.

Clean and comfortable rooms. I was upgraded to a suite and it was on the first floor. Very little airport noise, even though it's very close to the airport. Helpful and courteous staff. Efficient and prompt shuttle service to and from airport. I've been pleased with my Best Western reservations so far and glad that I became a rewards member.

They say it was remodeled about 3 years ago but it looks like it is brand new everywhere, Nice clean modern rooms, good beds, free Wi-fi, a nice free full breakfast, a pool and a business center. Friendly employees and a shuttle driver that will accommodate reasonable requests. If all this doesn't meet your requirements then you must take pleasure in just being difficult.

This was a very nice hotel in a slightly seedy part of town, but it IS conveniently on the way to the airport (IAH) and Houston is not the cleanest city. The rooms were great, comfortable and conveniently located next to several park and fly locations.

not worth the money. spend a little more and get a nicer room, the price is a little higher than the lower tier hotels but the quality is about the same or worse. quality of everything they offer is sub par. I haven't tried bw premier but the quality of the plus tier makes me doubt there will be anything premier about it.

This hotel was very accommodating for a last minute booking and provided a reasonable price. Our flight was delayed due to the weather and it was hard to find a hotel with a room & transportation, but this hotel offered us just that.

The hotel itself is nice. The beds were very comfortable and the room was rather good sized. My issue was with the customer service. I called for a shuttle when I was at baggage claim to see how it works - is it every hour or by request. She told me to call back when I was waiting outside. I called back 10 minutes later and she then told me he goes out every half hour. She them told me where to meet the shuttle driver. I then had to wait another 45 minutes for the shuttle to make his rounds again. If she would have answered my question the first time and tell me where the shuttle stops - I could have been there. When the shuttle driver did arrive - he was very, very nice and apologized saying there was a great deal of traffic outside the airport. When we got to the hotel I asked her to look up my reward number. She said no because I had booked through a third party. Expedia had advertised a $10 BW gift card back on their site. She said they wouldn't honor that either. I wanted to email Expedia Customer Service to ask why they were advertising it if BW didn't honor it but she still wouldn't look up my BW rewards number so I could refer to it in my email to Expedia. Check in line was rather long with more people coming in behind me. It was 10pm. I am not sure if it was normal to have lots of people checking in late but there was only one front desk person. But, other than my Expedia issue - she was efficient and the process was smooth. Breakfast is supposed to open at 6am. I was there right at 6am while waiting for my morning shuttle back to the airport. The lady who was still in the process of bringing stuff out rather loudly said "excuse me" so I would back up away from the coffee bar. I was not in her way as she was putting out something no where near the coffee area but she insisted that I move away the counter. If I had been in her way I could understand but I wasn't and it was several minutes past 6am at this point. So overall, I really liked the hotel, location and its price. I would stay here again and use more of their amenities. Maybe it was a fluke with the employees. Once I straighten out my

Our flights were not supposed to take us anywhere near Houston, but due to severe weather we missed a connecting flight and ended up spending the night in Houston prior to an international flight the following day. The Best Western JFK was able to accommodate our very late 4 am arrival. The free airport shuttle was much appreciated. Staff was courteous and friendly. Breakfast was well stocked and fresh. The room was clean with nice decor and a comfortable bed. I would not hesitate to recommend this property if you are looking for a great value IAH area hotel.

Our stay was pleasant; room and bathroom were clean and neat with plenty of towels and hot water. Bed was very comfortable. Nice breakfast presentation and selection. The staff was friendly, courteous, and helpful. We appreciated the shuttle service to and from the airport. My only complaint is the noise of the planes taking off, but then we were just minutes from airport, so it was only a mild annoyance. We would certainly stay again and highly recommend Best Western.

"Uneeded 3AM Wakeup Call"

The rooms are fairly basic - bed and seating area. My wife and daughter had a 7AM flight to catch so we decided to spend the night close to the airport and thought that this hotel would be perfect for that. It went well until the phone rang at 3AM for a wakeup call. I did not ask for a wakeup call. No one had asked for a wake up call. The front desk attendant should have noticed this when we checked in but she did not. Instead, all of us were awakened rudely at 3AM. As expected, no one really slept much between 3 and 5:30AM which was when we were planning to get up. I called the front desk to complain about this and was told that it was probably left over from the previous guest. What? I literally stay in dozens of different hotels each year for work and have never had this happen. This is weak operational management and I will not stay here again. I was here to get a good night's sleep prior to my flight and completely failed to do so.

Beautiful hotel that is decorated in modern colors and patterns. Front desk was very helpful and understanding of an error reservation at another hotel that Expedia had made that couldn't make good on. I gave 5 stars for their ultimate hospitality! Eating area and lobby are huge! I will stay here again for sure!

This BW is a very nice hotel close to George Bush International Airport. The hotel staff is very pleasant and there is a Subway, Message shop, Tavern, and package store with in a 150' walking distance.

We used this hotel for a pre-cruise stopover night. It's very convenient to eating establishments and stores if you need basic travelling supplies. Keep checking for a more affordable price as they do change the rates frequently if you monitor them. Highly recommend this one.

Hotel appears to be in like new condition. Ground floor room was spacious. Staff provided sewing kit when wife discovered hole in her sweater. Good quality towels. Nice pressure in shower. Convenient next door strip mall had 4 places for lunch, dinner. Breakfast offered eggs and bacon, breads, fruit, yogurt, cereal, juices, coffee & tea. Only negatives were see through toilet paper and slight mildew odor in shower that can be remedied by weekly washing.

We stayed overnight in Houston before catching a flight the next day and picked the Best Western near the airport..The hotel was neat and clean and it was great value for the $$$ we spent.. We enjoyed our stay and would defn recommend this place to others

This place is visually very nice and very restful for an airport hotel. Rooms and public areas are tastefully done and it is next door to a bunch of food places. Definitely a notch above your average Best Western. No complaints.

Good choice. Reasonable priced for the stay and accomadations. Nice helpful staff. Good location that is close to the airport. Offers everything you need for a comfortable stay. Food options near by. Clean rooms but do need more outlets for rooms for those doing business with multiple electronic devices.

Very impressed with this Hotel... Large clean room, quiet as best a hotel can be. Took the shuttle, worked out great. Close to airport. Regular quick breakfast items nothing special special. There are other travelers coming and going all night. It did wake me up several times. Overall was a great hotel.

Very quiet and clean hotel. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Allowed early check in which was great since our flight was in early. Airport shuttle was timely. The driver who pick us up at the airport was very friendly and helpful but the one who brought us back was awful. Don't think he liked his job! Not a lot of restaurants or things to do close by.

The Best Western Plus was a great place to stay during a travel stopover in Houston. The rooms are a suite design, very nice and a complete breakfast is included. The first of two negatives was that the shuttle from the airport was very slow to arrive at the airport gate (approximately an hour) and my group was frustrated with the long wait after a tiring travel day and late hour. Their shuttle could only hold half my group so two trips were required. The second item for major improvement was the extremely slow check-in of the group. The hotel manager really needs to train the desk staff to expedite arrival check-in. The price of this hotel was much better than others in the area and included as much or more in services.

Rooms were very clean.....beds are very comfortable......Frenchy at the front desk was 3 steps ahead of my arrival on all levels of customers service which helped diminish my travel fatigue...... my only complaint is not having openable windows for fresh air......makes the room smell musty...... This location is clean and comfortable. The room seems to be just redo or fairly new. The bed was comfy and sheets clean. My only issue was the rug. It's clean and fine. But the pattern just made it look like there are little crumbs in it. There isn't! Trust me I check. It's just an odd design. It's very close to the airport. You can hear the plans coming and going overhead. I thought it was pretty cool and was not bothered by it. It's in a low key area, so we ventured back into the car for dinner. But had the breakfast in the morning and it was delish!

no one wants to do much on this day, fear still is in many We got married on this day in 1994--so although it has been "spoiled" in essents from what happened, to us it is still our day--- probably the only thing we would have loved more was a restaurant in the hotel I guess we sort of expected it. Then none of the little stores were open being a sunday We couldn't get a bottle of wine for our room ! haha We did eat across the street at Sheraton and the meal was lovely and so was the staff there, even though we were not staying there

Very nice hotel! Night shift staff "Frenchy" was fantastic. We had issues with the booking from our company. No surprise, it happens almost every roadtrip. Room was nicely appointed and clean. We felt welcome, facilities were clean and there is a good pool for some final sunbathing outside. Decent breakfast and okay gym. Altogether a good stay. Unfortunately the air conditioning reeks a little bit which made the stay a little unnerving. It serves its purpose for a final stay though and is recommendable.

Excellent. We decided to move the medical center to closer to the airport for an early morning flight home. This hotel was great. Staff was friendly. Free breakfast that was very good. Within walking distance of evening food. Exercise and pool available. Free Shuttle to airport 24 hours every 309 minutes. Got to the airport with plenty of time and without the worry of the Houston traffic.

The room was a suite with comfy king bed, bath, and separate "living" area equipped with microwave and mini-refrigerator. The pool is small, but clean; the business center was also a smaller area. The fitness center was equipped with cardio and free weights. The location is less than ten minutes from the airport, but the on and off from the road isn't the easiest (the highway dept is to blame, not the hotel). The hotel is neatly designed and offered free parking and a good, but not extravagant, breakfast.

There is no free parking! False advertisement...they charge! Told me they would charge my American Express that's in the computer...I don't even have an American Express card! Room chairs were stained, I'm not picky, I'll sit in anything, it was disgusting. This place should be sued for false advertisement on parking. Talked to 3 different people about where I could park and charges, all said no charge and to park in front. Never again!

Drove in early from Baton Rouge to catch a flight to Venice. Usually stay at Hilton chains but decided to give the Best Western another go. Good choice. Love the nice comfy rooms, customer service was pretty good. We drove in from BTR right after they closed all the interstates so a usual 4 hour drive was 8. So we were tired when we got it. Many restaurants near parking lot to choose from for dinner, so nice options without having to drive. The hotel looked new to me so they must keep it in pretty good shape. Great choice for those leaving out of IAH the next day as it is close to the airport and many great parking garages for longer trips.

Everyone was courteous and professional. Veola was very friendly. So was the other lady but I forgot her name (form Philadelphia originally). The hotel is very clean as was the room. The hotel is literally on the same street as Houston International Airport, so it is convenient for travel. The lobby has a large, open space which I like because some places make you feel crowded. There's a small pool in back.

All was clean and new and solid. Make sure you call the hotel to order a shuttle to come an pick you up at the airport; being European, we were convinced they would simply circle through. This does not happen. The reception desk was efficient. The room was spacious and inviting. The amenities are standard but solidly made. The breakfast was standard fare you get at hotels. The elevator is noisy and it hisses through the night. Try to ask for a room far away from it.

This hotel is the quintessential airport one-nighter. No frills but all the essentials. Gym and pool were unexpected but nice touches. Really good breakfast, especially the Do-it-yourself waffles and it's complimentary. Some "very American" restaurants and take-away shops in the centre next to the hotel. The airport shuttle works well too.

Wonderful staff at my check in and check out and very clean rooms! The receptionist was very helpful in getting to the airport. It's an excellent place to stay. We spent 4 nights here. Free internet, large clean room with all features functioning well (A/C, TV, exercise room equipment etc.). Free shuttle service from and to the airport was flawless and quick. Staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was pretty standard fare so this wasn't too exciting but was OK. A strip mall next door has an excellent no-frills seafood diner (closed on Saturday & Sunday though) and there are a couple of very good bar/bistros at the bigger more expensive hotels nearby. Having been to Houston many times over the years, it seemed that renting a car or taking expensive cabs (or now UBER) were the only means to get around in this far flung city. An OUTSTANDING discovery on this trip was the Houston Metro Bus #102 that runs into and back from the downtown core. It is a limited stop bus that takes ~45 minutes to make a one way journey, runs frequently and costs $1.25 per ride if paying cash (rather than a Q-card). Both the going and coming bus stops are less than a 5 minute walk from the hotel.

This was a good place to stay, good food, "mostly" quiet rooms, and plenty of parking. The "mostly" part comes from airplane noise, if you do not mind the aircraft, the room is quiet. If the owners could calm down the front desk staff, this place would rate even higher. These girls were loud and flirting with whoever walked in the door. There are also plenty of places to eat nearby, including a few in walking distance. They also provide a shuttle to the airport,

The staff were all great; from the shuttle drivers to the hotel reception folks, everybody I met was friendly and warm. Sadly, the hotel isn't. It is a boxy, sterile property with a hint of "corrections" about it; the rooms are fine, if a touch worn, the a/c functional if rather loud, the breakfast ample, if a little institutional and on one goes. A good location by the airport, but this is an attribute shared by a lot of other hotels; next time I shall try one of the others.

Upon entrance you can tell the hotel was recently renovated and kept up to date. They have a friendly staff, guest shop, free breakfast, 24/7 free shuttle service and HDTV. The rooms were clean and were well maintained. Few noises from the planes flying by but that's at any hotel at this location.

We stayed here the night before our next morning's flight. It's very clean and efficient. Parking is convenient; and the staff is friendly, courteous and helpful. Breakfast is the typical hotel continental fare...nothing to brag about, but holds body and soul together. The rooms are large. A noisy group was in the lobby when we checked in so we requested a room on an upper floor, and it was very quiet there. Only the first floor rooms have tubs.There's a strip center right next to the hotel where we walked for supper and found a good variety. There's a Subway, pizza, Asian, bar/grill, and a convenience store. If you want fine dining, go elsewhere; but if you just want to have something to eat and call it a day to prepare for your flight, this works really well. We got Subways and a bottle of wine from the store and took it to the room! We didn't use their airport shuttle, but it was available and the driver seemed on-the-ready.

Call to the hotel for the shuttle resulted in a 20 minute wait outside Terminal E - Door 101. 8 minutes to hotel in the shuttle van. Excellent front desk staff at night and in the a.m.! Hotel is quiet and well appointed. Beds, sheets and pillows are all great. Complimentary breakfast is better than most - sausage, eggs, bacon et al. Shuttle runs every 30 minutes and is very efficient. After two stays this month this hotel is now our goto airport hotel in Houston. Good job Best Western.

We stayed at this hotel during a layover, very close to the airport. They have a conveniente shuttle from the airport, which took us to and from the airport. I am not sure if the shuttle runs all the time because we had to call them from the airport, make sure to check this when you make your reservation. The hotel was recently renovated I believe, because everything looked new, the rooms were comfortable and clean. It is also located next to a small strip mall, where you can find a bar and several fast food restaurants (Pizza and Chinese food). The sleep quality was great, no complains. Free in-room wifi. Breakfast was included, we didn't have any because we had an early flight.

On February 19,, 2016 I was taking a group of 12 people on a cruise out of Bayport TX and decided to stay at this hotel due to location and my liking of Best Western's. Our flights got changed and I had to cancel. Thanks to Mr. Patel for personally helping me cancel these rooms without penalties. He was the best. So just think, if he was so helping in cancelling these reservations how great he would be if you actually stayed there. The next time I bring a group to Houston, I will definitely stay at the Best Western at 15615 JFK.

To get to the free shuttle is quite tricky if you are not familiar with the procedure (need to call the hotel, quite different from Europe), and I expected if I call I would be picked up personally. But no, make sure you wait at the bus stop outside the terminal when you call. Otherwise a nice stay and a reasonably priced place for 1 night!

We came in late 1 am after a change by our flight. The shuttle picked us up from the airport (about 20 min wait). The rooms are very nice. We were staying pre-cruise. We stayed here 1 night after cruise. Rosie was an absolute sweetheart and made sure we had everything we needed for a great stay. She arranged for an early wake-up call as we had a 5am flight. The room was clean and spacious. In the morning the front desk clerk handed us a bag each with water, yogurt and a banana, knowing we had to miss breakfast with them. Free shuttle to the airport was excellent. Would definitely stay here again.

As I have found at other BW Plus facilities, the upgrade is substantial and not that much more than at the standard Best / Westerns. The facility appeared to be recently upgraded in terms of carpets, furniture, decor. My room had a queen bed (maybe king?), fridge, coffee maker, microwave sofa, desk, iron and ironing board. Furnishings modern, appeared rather new, unscuffed, room was large. Triple A rate was $103.49 (single), with tax $121.08. Shuttle service to the nearby airport responsive on pickup, leaves hotel evert 30 minutes for the airport. On the other side of the hotel parking lot is a convenient small strip[ mall with four restaurants, with enough variety to satisfy most. Front desk staff very friendly and accommodating. There is a self-serve laundry and packaged snack station on the first floor.

I booked a room for my girlfriend and 2 kids on a layover. When I called I was very pleasantly greeted by Auriel. She was absolutely fantastic in her politeness, pleasantness, knowledge, and getting everything arranged for me. My girlfriend said that everything at the hotel was setup for her as to what I asked for from Auriel. I recommend this hotel 100% to stay at. And do try to deal with Auriel as she is fantastic!! Rooms very clean- bed top of the line-amenities and grounds very nice for being at the airport-Breakfast did not have any wheat or gluten free items, therefore I di not eat. THE EGGS WERE FAKE EGGS. therefore I did not eat It is easy to care for the needs of guests with allergies. Educate employees and have products that can be frozen and served upon request. No waste that way. Thanks for listening

I should start by saying that we had a very nice encounter with the woman who staffed the desk overnight. We came in late and last minute and she was fantastic, friendly and got us squared away ASAP. However, the morning crew didn't measure up. The employee manning the breakfast buffet (which BTW is a bunch of cheap food... nothing healthy or wholesome or real: fake eggs, rubbery bacon, etc) didn't even respond when we asked her for a highchair. Thinking she didn't understand, we repeated our request and she simply walked away without acknowledging us. It was like talking to a wall. Ten minutes later, when we were getting up to leave, she brought us a high chair without a word or eye contact. The worst of it though was the morning front desk staff: we were in the lobby at 6:45 am to catch the 7:00 free shuttle to the airport. The shuttle never came. When we asked (at 7:05) why the shuttle didn't come, Frenchy (one of the three front desk staff at the time) snottily told us that we weren't there on time, that we were in the dining area when the shuttle came. We corrected her saying that we had been waiting in the lobby/out front for 20 minutes. She was argumentative, again saying we had been in the dining area when the shuttle came at 6:45. Geesh?!!?? Really?!!? I couldn't believe she wanted to argue with us rather than jump into action to help us get to the airport for our flight. You'd think the front desk staff would be customer-service oriented!

Hotel staff very helpful. Walking distance to a few restaurants and a bar. Convenient for airport departures. Nice small pool area outside. Would recommend this property. Hotel also has airport shuttle.

The good: the hotel is in good condition and not falling apart. The rooms are clean and include a mini refrigerator and microwave. There is remote control with a clean sanitary feature for the TV. The bad: We called the hotel in advance to let them know that we needed a shuttle. When even called upon landing. We waited outside in the humid heat for 45 minutes. While waiting we had to place several phone calls to let the front desk know we were still waiting. The shuttle driver didn't apologize and didn't care. The hotel was 2 minutes away from the airport. The hotel shuttle service isn't reliable. If you want to stay here just call a cab especially if you're exhausted. The staff member assisting with the buffet breakfast was grumpy and yelled at me when my oatmeal spilled. The breakfast is not good.

This was an outstanding, albeit short, stay. Facilities were great and the staff was very professional. Excellent location, close to airport and places to eat. Fitness room was better than expected in a motel/hotel. I would definitely recommend and would stay there again.

nice to have free shuttle every 30 minutes, clean rooms good staff. would stay there again....need to get their internet fixed though. would love to see more than a single laundry set up and an indoor pool or hot tub area ultimate improvements good stay over all

We stayed here for one night on our way to Austin. Close to car rental. Friendly staff and great room with very comfortable beds. All necessary amenities in the room and a small gym. Shuttle from/to airport was smooth and quick. Good breakfast with a good basic selection. Complimentary Wi-Fi. There was a small strip mall close to the hotel with a few dining options where we had an early dinner.

Hotel has a great location, the rooms are clean and very comfortable. Service was very good, over all no problems at all. Free airport shuttle is a bonus! Would definitely recommend if you have to overnight in Houston.

Free airport shuttle 24/7 it leaves at the top of every hour. Our room is very clean and nice. Great Chinese restaurant with in walking distance. Most of the restaurants that are close are closed on Sunday's. We stayed in a king suite with a sofa bed. We book the option with a bathtub because we have two children. If you are flying out of IAH I recommend the hotel on of the nicest affordable options near the hotel. I was also pretty excited that there was a large HD TV to watch the 49ers get beat by the Packers on... well its on while I am typing this review. Go Packers!

Evening clerk was new, so checkin took a little longer than usual. They were very pleasant though. Room 309 stunk, literally. Like they had a bad water leak that mildewed, then tried to cover it up with industrial cleaners and air freshener. If I didn't think it would brain freeze the front desk, I would have asked for another room. Breakfast was just okay.

Like I've found with most Best Western Hotel's, I found this one to also be very humid inside the rooms. This was not terrible, just noticeable. However, despite that, I loved the location. The hotel inside and out was very clean. Staff was very friendly and nice, and when I needed to extend my checkout time, I was able to do so without difficulty. Price was great! It was a great stay for a single female just doing some exploring. Will stay here again!

I was in Houston for an overnight trip, and decided to stay here because a friend had given me a gift card. The hotel was very clean and the staff was wonderful! My only complaint would be that the bed could be more comfortable, but being that I was only in town for the night it wasn't a huge issue. I would definitely stay at this location again and try other locations if needed.
