    « Aurora Chasing »

Close to Aurora watching spots. Clean and comfortable, actually felt brand new. Out the front has a view over the water to Mt Wellington. Wifi wasn't the greatest and food in the hotel although it was good was expensive. But there is a bakery and IGA Express nearby. The Sand Bar down the road made awesome burgers to either eat in or take away.

« Overnight stay at Best Western Motel »

Don't be fooled by the outwards appearance of the Motel! It is set back from the roadway and adjacent to a hotel. The rooms are set back away from the hotel with parking set aside in front of the rooms. The rooms are modern and spacious with comfortable beds with all the amenities you would expect from a higher rated hotel. Bathroom with immaculate and modern.

« A Very Comfortable and Value for Money Motel »

Stayed there while exploring the area. Very comfortable room and a great meal at the adjacent hotel. The room was excellent value for money and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Will certainly stay there again.

    « Recommended! »

Don'e let the photos fool you, this is a great place and a great location. Rooms had a lot of space and were quite comfortable. There is an onsite restaurant and tavern which make things convenient. The location made it easy to tour and avoid the hustle and bustle of Hobart, yet close enough to drive in if you choose. Staff was very welcoming, answered many questions, and made the stay enjoyable. I would highly recommend this property, and the price is very reasonable.

« Ideal base for Footy, City and Attractions »

The Foreshore is the ideal location for any one visiting Hobart for the Footy at Blundstone Arena, Short drive from the Airport and Bus stop opposite motel with direct transport to and from the ground, Located on the right side of the city for tours to Richmond or Port Arthur, short walk to great beach. Tavern great for a drink and meal, sports bar could be upgraded poles block view of TV's. Join loyalty program for extra discounts.

« Well presented and priced »

Located close to many Tasmanian attractions and scenic drives. Has all the needs of a traveler catered without paying hotel prices. The Bar and Bistro has good food and there is lots of space. A good choice for a overnight stay whilst on the road.

    « New & Modern Accommodation »

Nice, modern and spacious rooms. Nice quiet area. The tavern on-site has great meals and the staff are attentive and friendly. Very clean new rooms that are very well equipped. The area is a very good base to explore Hobart and the beautiful regions.

    « Life saver! »

Our Hobart accommodation plans fell through so had to urgently look for another place. We were lucky to find a room at Best Western and which was reasonably priced for a last minute booking during easter. We stayed in a queen plus single room and it was perfect for 2 adults and a toddler. The room was tidy and clean with a nice bathroom. The staff was nice and helpful. We also had a couple of meals at the restaurant and the little one loved the playground. The only down side is that the restaurant wasn't open for breakfast and there weren't any options for a hot breakfast. Otherwise enjoyed our stay. Would definitely stay again.

    « Tasmania Holiday »

Over all a wonderful experience. A suitable location as a base for both Hobart City and the Port Arthur areas. Close to the Airport. Quiet at night. Plenty of parking. Well sign posted. Very large units, clean tidy, great bathroom. Lots of storage. Air con. Private terraces for each unit. Tidy pleasant gardens. Wonderful guest laundry. On site restaurant, reasonable prices. Self closing front door a problem when unloading luggage.

« Quite Surprising For A Suburban Motel »

We stayed here as an alternative to driving back into Hobart from Opossum Bay after an evening function, so for us the location was very convenient, and worked perfectly. I wouldn't normally stay in motels, so was pleasantly surprised with how new and clean the room was. It was also spacious, with a (very comfortable) double and single bed and decent sized bathroom. The room was very quiet and I couldn't hear any traffic noise. Parking was at the door, and there was plenty of it, although the rooms were situated amongst a sea of car parking, so lacked an intimate and personal feel. Its not a bad base for road tripping and seeing the region, but not ideal if you intend to spend a lot of time on the other side of the river in and around the city. My only criticism was that it was a little expensive for what it is, however our stay was over a long weekend and CBD accommodation prices were astronomical so I don't think that the (booked-well-in-advance) price of $180 a night was probably typical. All in all, a pleasant stay.

    « quiet little getaway »

clean, neat. 20 Mins from Airport, 20 Mins from Hobart. Great hotel/entertainment area at front. Bus Services at close by. Golf course 10 mins away. across the road an ocean view, quiet and peaceful, but entertaining and lovely bistro and pub meals as well

    « Comfortable »

The room was Clean and comfy. The Staff were friendly and helpful. I felt the room was over priced. Very scenic location, the tavern is right on the waterfront, but alas none of the rooms have a view.

« Great place to stay »

Great staff . Great room . Great food . Would recommend it highly. Close to beaches . Can't beat the view from the street . Close to Hobart .Had a great system for late arrivals. If I was going over again I would stay there

    « Welcome to Tasmania! »

We flew from Tamworth to Hobart and chose to stay close to the airport after a very early start. The greeting from staff was genuine in welcome, immediately giving us comfort. Despite being two hours before checkin, we were given our key, provided an overview of services and staff contact. The room (#5) is immaculately clean. It is quite roomy, including the bathroom and a private patio off the lounge space. The motel accommodation is behind the tavern, where we had dinner. While I think it was a little pricey, compared to home, we both really enjoyed the flathead fillets @ $18 with chips and salad/veg. Can't go wrong with this place fellow travellers!

« Lovely warm comfy place but isolated »

Was greeted very well. Some room lights weren't working but that wasn't a major issue. I loved the bed and pillows. Awesome stuff. Fire alarm did go off a couple of times but again, it wasn't a major thing. The important thing is it was comfy and friendly. The rooms have a small patio in the back, couch, mini bar, and tea and coffee stuff. It also has a toaster which is good for those who rather a piece of toast for breaky. I must say that if you haven't got a car you shouldn't really stay here as it's very isolated and far away from everything. However, there is a bus service but it takes about an hour to get to Hobart. All in all, a great stop over place.

« Decent motel, value for money »

We stayed there during early Dec in room 3 on our last day of the trip. It is near the Hobart airport and there is a petrol station nearby which is very convenient. The motel has basic amenities like wifi and there is a restaurant and a playground for kids. The food in the restaurant was good and the staff were friendly and efficient. However, please be careful of the balcony door as you might get locked out. Read instructions on the door to make sure you can re-enter the room. My kid was locked out and we had to approach the reception!

    « Disappointed house keeping »

Room was good but the lack of house keeping. Stayed 5 nights & only got clean towels on last day & the room wasn't vaccum at all over that period this would probably be ok if staying for 1 or 2 nights. Meal in bristro was ok & staff friendly

    « Lovely stay »

We recently stayed here for 3 nights, although it was out of the way we were pleased we stayed here. The rooms were spacious & clean & it had all the amenities. We dined at the tavern & it was a very nice meal. the room was over priced but i believe that it was a very busy time of year for hobart. We would stay there again

    « Suitable »

A reasonable motel for access to the airport, and not far from the city by car. On a bus route. Could do with trees and more garden to relieve the large parking area. Didn't try the dining as we have relatives nearby, and the room has a fridge.

« Out of the way but very good »

Traveling back from Port Arthur we didn't want to go back into Hobart for the evening so decided to look for something out of town and read some of the reviews and decided to try it. It was extremely well priced and a good standard with the room being both new and very clean. We didn't eat at the hotel but at the cafe down the road which was a lot quieter and the food excellent. Great location if you are happy to be out of town.

« Poor WIFI Connection but Room condition is very good »

Poor WIFI Connection throughout my 3 nights stay in Best Western Foreshore Motel. The room condition is rather new and spacious. I give a overall rating good. The Food at the Restaurant is very good and is a must try for your dinner. Overall experience is good. The hotel reception is at the same place as the restaurant. Prefer hotel reception and restaurant to be separated.

    « Quiet location »

We used this location simply because for the 3 day time period we needed it was the first we found--it included a weekend. It was pleasant, quiet, and had good access for the trips we planned. Access to airport was good and as with all of Tasmania, nothing is too difficult to access. A good .laundry was also available and the tavern facility had good meals.

« Great place to stay »

This Best Western Hotel/motel is great value with clean rooms. The rooms are a few minutes walk from the tavern which offers great meals at a reasonable price, a childs play area, gaming, etc. it is a nice place to unwind after your days activities. if you belong to the HOG you can register for additional discounts. The room has a good size TV, queen size comfortable bed and a good shower. as with a lot of Tasmania, the wifi is not reliable. This accommodation is an easy drive to Hobart and surrounds and although lengthy, it is also an easy drive to Port Arthur. We stayed three nights and would be very happy to stay there again the staff for check in and check out were fantastic.

    « Prabin »

Good clean quiet place . Cheap n best. I went with my wife and it was very nice room with clean toilets. Just one drawback it is 20 min drive to the city.Highly recomemded for family looking for cheap but good place.

    « Quiet and friendly »

A very quiet and friendly place to stay. Normal motel accommodation with a handy bar and bistro. Gaming venue. Continental breakfast. Clean and enough room to stay there for several days. Close enough to Hobart for a visit and on the way to Port Arthur or Richmond.

    « Good stay »

Convenient location great food at bistro and clise to airport very clean room and nice and quiet location close to water and beaches. Friendly staff at motel and bistro helpful in directing up yo correct locations

    « Amazing! »

Rooms were amazing and modern, and were extremely good value. The food from the bar was incredibly delicious - best chicken cesar salad I've had! Thank you so much! It was much needed, and I loved staying there. The only annoying thing was that the wifi didn't work, and after many efforts of trying we eventually gave up.

    « Great stay »

Hotel was great! Restaurant had great food & very friendly staff! Room was great, very clean plenty of luggage space, good appliances that worked great.Fantastic view from the front of the hotel.great place to stay.

« Another road side hotel »

A very standard hotel room, slightly miserly coffee and milk supply. Good shower, clean well lit bathroom, weird fat person toilet. Mattresses ok. all powerpoints etc on the key circuit so clock needs reset on entry every time. Although free and using a repeater Wifi was barely functional in the second block of rooms where we were. Restaurant was good RSL/pub quality meals.

    « Value for money »

Very clean modern place. We arrived late at night about midnight. Reception obviously closed but checkin was still a breze with an after hours service. Pleasantly surprised considering what we payed. Only about 20 min from hobart.
