Best Western Hotel Am Kastell

Best western Hotel Am Kastell is a nice place to stay. I was there due to work and the stay was comfortable. It was reasonable. Only one point to be noted that the AC switches off automatically every 2 hours which is not so comfortable during summer.

We were invited for a wedding in Neuenstadt and thought that this hotel would be a good choice. Reality can be different from expectations. The hotel is remotely located in a kind of business district. Our rooms were across the street in a seperate building. A tiny little shower and an airco that switches of in the night. For whatever reason. On a possitive note, the room was clean. The breakfast was very basic and very German. No rice for my wife! Conclusion: I would only stay here if you have business in Heilbronn and when efficiency is key.

Last week the Best Western was OK, this week it's not. This week's room was small and well warn but more to the point, when I got into bed, it felt “gritty.” When I pulled the sheet back, the bed was covered in someone else's pubic hair. It really looks like the sheet had just been straightened and not changed. When I complained in reception they gave a disinterested apology and new room key – I got the impression that they had heard similar complaints before. That alternative room stank of cigarette smoke although it was marked as No-smoking. If the hotel do not enforce this policy then that is their fault too. Finally, they gave me a room in the new block where I was last week. Like last week's, the room was a new one. The lighting is very poor but other wise its ok, unless it is just so dark you can't see if it is clean? In future I will not be using this hotel again, There is a redeeming feature - The waitress staff in the restaurant are really nice and friendly. The menu is very limited - burgers and a steak is about it, but everything I've had has been fine.

First night snow ouside and opened window of the room, but heating closed. So could night. Two days later same problem. The water of the heating system is never hot enough, you feel could accross the hotel. Disaster of breakfast. Shortage of everything, no body cares about food, or cups, or whaterver needs to be replaced. Food on the floor. Few years ago it whas a good place, Wat Went Wrong? Too young staff?

The hotel itself is okay and quite up to date. The rooms look okay as well and are quite spacious. But a problem are the very thin bed blankets and small pillows. There was only one set in the room so had to ask the reception for an extra blanket. That's not what you expect nowadays. Underground parking is okay if you are in time. Otherwise it might be full. Staff was very friendly en food good.

A family trip Common areas are necessary to clean them, There are dirty carts and trash through the corridors In the hall all weekend we could see the glasses and dirt through the windows The elevator is very dirty Being a separate building has no security, everything is open even at night and not needed to use the keycard The garage gate does not work, the gate is open all night, just like leaving the car in the street, Fortunately, after dealing they didn't charge it. Receptionist not very professional. Restaurant is private, the waitress very good, professional and with very good level of English. Only menu is in German, fortunately waitress explain us perfectly. The food in general is good and the service very fast. The room is ok and clean. Air conditioning was perfect. I recommend this hotel for a short time.

The hotel is located within an industrial area in Stuttgart. The rooms are equipped with very basic amenities, do not expect any frills. On the plus side, the rooms are clean and with very good water pressure. The staff were helpful and professional. For added convenience to the main lounge and breakfast area, you may want request for a room located in the main building. There are additional rooms available in a separate building.

Decent hotel. Not great. Not bad. Room decent size. Tea and coffee (well, 1 tea bag, 1 coffee and 1 decaf and enough milk for 1 drink) Free wifi. Room very warm. Radiator blasting even when set to 2. Actually struggle to say much good or bad. €10 taxi from station which is only 1.5 miles away. Seems to be quite an industrialised area and I could see into a plastic moulding factory from the stairs window. Lift had out of order sign on. Firstly the Restaurant (Juls Steak and Cocktail Bar) is not part of hotel so I guess it's maybe not fair to mention it, but I only realised when I came to pay. You have to pay separately. Cash or card. No charging to room. I reviewed his separately and was not impressed. Food ok but I didn't like the staff's friends (or may be off duty colleagues) hanging around the bar. And there was a cat wandering around behind the bar. Not a cool cat. A hairy cat with a tail. I didn't like it wandering under the table while I was eating.

The location is within a dirty industrial estate. The staff just do the minimum and not very engaging towards the guests. There are limited free parking spaces otherwise risk parking on the street or get charge 9 euro's to park in the garage. The room was clean and spacious, the bed was okay. The prices for food and drinks at the hotel are very high as you are captive. Overall a disappointing stay at an over priced Best Western.

I was in the hotel for 3 nights and the experience was a pleasant one. The staff was helpfull and professional. They're not very engaging towards the guests. the parking below the hotel is expensive but needed because there isn't much parking at the street. The room was clean and nicely decorated. The bed was okay. The shower was good. The prices for food and drinks at the hotel are abnormally high. I paid 12.50 for a bottle of Coca-Cola that was 1 liter. It was passed midnight so I didn't wanna go out to find something else. The area is kind of in the middle of nowhere. It's very quiet so that is good. I would stay there again if needed. It's a nice hotel but certainly for the price it's not worth it.

It doesn't matter where you go in the world as long as you as stay in a BW you know what you're going to get. I am not sure why I bother going elsewhere, and think that I'm going to find a better set of hotels. Anyway - this one as per expectations is exactly what you want. With a twist. I arrived late on a Sunday night... 2300. Fruit in my room, plus a little card wishing me sweet dreams when I pulled back the covers! It's not much but it made the difference after a long journey. Clean, comfortable, good staff, nice food, great breakfast. AIRCON!!! and that's a bonus in this part of Germany! Wish I could have stayed here again but fully booked!

Stayed at Hotel Am Kastell when on a business trip with a couple of colleagues to Heilbronn in June 2016. It was a fairly modern and fresh hotel and my 'Comfort Double' room was comfortable and clean, even though it had twin rather than the double bed I wanted! The view from my room was 'industrial'. My room cost GB£81.00 a night which didn't include parking or breakfast and so the value could have been better. But breakfast was pretty good. At check-out the front desk staff took ages to get the three of us checked out and seemed to make a right mess of it, they couldn't even get receipts printed and had to send them on later!! All in all it's a clean and comfortable hotel offering a good breakfast, but I think value and service could be improved.

I was assigned this hotel for a work trip and it was very disappointing. The room was clean and the AC and WiFi seemed to work OK. The wait staff at the bar/restaurant were great but the front desk staff was rude and seemed to be annoyed when helping us. They have strict limitations about checking in after 4 pm but my room wasn't even ready when I arrived at 3! The location is also extremely poor. It's a 25 minute walk into anything interesting in town. I would recommend checking out other places in Heilbronn before settling on this one.

I have spend quite a long time in the hotel on my business assignment. Staff is very fixedly, rooms always clean and tidy. The only minus was the sauna - it has been broken, but I received sorry letter from manager.

We booked two rooms on our way from France to Hungary in March and had 4 dogs travelling with us. The staff were excellent, freindly (English spoken), the rooms were clean and airy, restaurant (inc dogs on leads) had a good menu. We were pretty tired so it was rather nice to have coffee/tea facilities in the bedroom.

I stayed here for 2 weeks while in Heilbronn. The rooms are nice and clean with good beds and good shower. The first week I had a double for single use and the second week a single room. The latter being smaller but still was ok. Good value for money. Good food, great breakfast buffet. Location is a bit of a downer... For the one night no problem but if you are staying longer like myself you get fed up with having to get into your car every night into town for dinner and/or drinks. In the rooms the only thing I missed was an electronic safe. It's not very 2016 to have to drag your belongings with you whenever you leave the hotel. Would gladly have traded the minibar for a safe since the bar is always open anyway! On booking.com they advertise with free parking but during my stay the streets were full and you had to park 2 blocks away. They offer covered parking however at €9 per night, not too bad. Staff is very helpful and friendly. All in all a good place to stay when in this area!

Hotel and its rooms wasn't any better or worse than expected. It was just fine. Nice, clean rooms and quite delicious breakfast. Perfect for one night. The only problem we got was with finding the building in the middle of the night. But it could have been our fault ;-)

This hotel is in an industrial area, which is a bit off-putting at first sight. However the hotel is great, friendly staff, a good value restaurant (steak was fab!) with an outdoor area. On-site garage parking was ok from price. My only criticism is that there was no air-conditioning and the room was quite warm. However you can open the windows (but it can be noisy). Free wifi was good!

Being from the US I know most Best Westerns as cheaper hotels with one being in most towns. I was blown away how nice this one was. The location is a bit of a walk from the city center but easily walk able. My wife and I were both very pleased with the hotel. The bar area was quite nice with friendly staff. Breakfast was good too. Would definitely go back!

The hotel is situated in a slightly industrial part of Heilbronn, maybe 3km to the centre. It is a very clean and well equipped hotel. The design of the rooms is up-to-date and very nice. The restaurant serves meals that are quite OK, but the service of the hotel and restaurant isn't very attentive. The hotel crew can serve you with many things, but you always have to ask for it including the menu and separatey the beverage list again or a refill of the milk/cheese/sauces in the buffet... It might be lack of experience but it seemed to be joined by a lack of commitment. The people who have planned the hotel have done a good job which makes the hotel a worthwhile stay but the people who run it don't seem to take much care of the guests. The wine list contains a fine selection of regional wines combines with several international wines at fair prices. Gladly the vintages on the wine list aren't accurate. +free WLAN

Location and rooms quite good for a shorter stay in Heilbronn and pretty quiet on week ends. Service was attentive, helpful, friendly and quick. Wifi for free and quick, bath and shower could not be much better. Maintenance staff might be some lazy as we found some tools and cans with glue in our room including a terrible smell of solvents - obviously not finished and ready for customers!

A perfect Hotel for traveling with high level Service from Staff and a nice enviroment to stay in. The Hotel offers good working conditioning with High Speed Internet. Very helpful Staff with good knowledge of the area.
