« very nice people and very helpful »

I cant say enough about the nice people at this motel. They are VERY friendly and helpful and care about my well being. They engage in conversations and really care about their customers. They are always smiling and aren't afraid to ask if you are alright

    « Par for a Best Western »

The gentleman at the front desk that checked me in on October 26 was top notch. The room was in the updated style currently found at most Best Westerns. The scrambled eggs were from powdered eggs. My daughter was disappointed.

« Older Hotel but Comfortable & Clean »

Overnighted at this hotel on our way south - yes, it is a bit older than some of the Best Westerns, but it was very clean and the check in was fast and efficient. We had a third floor suite which was very spacious with all the usual amenities...we were able to walk to a decent diner right next door for dinner.....Our King bed was extremely comfortable as were the pillows so we both had a great sleep and a better than average breakfast which included eggs and sausages and French toast. We would stay here again.

« Pleasant stay, clean and good appearance »

Room was clean, easy access from highway, hospitable host at counter checkin and check out. Got there late and the check in was easy and quick. Parking was easy, parking lot well late, important who you have a late arrival time.

« Stay of the service only »

We stayed at this hotel thinking it was closer to the airport. Our error. It's about a 20 minute drive from the airport to the hotel. The lobby area is very dated and the couches in the sitting area are pretty dingy and not very clean (aged and a little stained). I traveled with a co-worker and we had similar experiences, so it wasn't just my room. First of all did I say it was dated? Well it is very dated. The room was very clean and the bedding was in good shape. There was nice fuzzy blanket on the bed but the mattress was pretty darn hard. I had so much trouble falling asleep as the temperature on the a/c didn't really work so the fan was off and on all night. I couldn't get it to stay on so unfortunately due to the paper thin walls, I could hear 3 conversations going on in different rooms until at least 1 a.m. It was terrible. Breakfast in the morning was continental and I have to say that I have never seen a more attentive staff ever. From suggestions of sights to see before our conference to keeping the food stocked, they are customer minded. They can't help thin walls. I wouldn't stay here again because I need my sleep.

    « Good for a Short Stay »

Purchased room online and got a good rate. When I arrived I realized the rate was so good because I was given a room modified for the disabled. This was not an issue for me but realize closet space is reduced and there is a shower instead of bath tub. Breakfast was included that was filling and well supplied. Staff was attentive. Room was clean.

    « Average but clean »

Room was clean but had a horrible smell. We had the king whirlpool room. Breakfast was good. Friendly staff. Could not turn left out of parking lot and had to go down the road and find place to turn to go back. Close to Hershey Park. Would recommend other than the nasty smell in our room.

« Good location for visiting Hershey »

We recently stayed at this hotel for one night. Check in was quick and pleasant. Staff was helpful. Our room looked like it was newly renovated - the furniture was appealing and modern looking. The bathroom was clean, large and well appointed. The hotel was well kept and clean. Breakfast was fine and included hot and cold dishes. Our only negative comment would be the poor soundproofing in the room. We had asked for a room in a quiet area and this did mitigate somewhat the outside noise. However we could hear the people in the room next to ours quite clearly even though they weren't being loud. We could also hear the upstairs people. Apart from this we would recommend this hotel for its proximity to Hershey, its ease of access and its recent looking renovations. Ask for a room on the highest floor away from the traffic noise - that should help.

    « Refurbished Rooms Comfortable »

We were greeted and made to feel as our stay was important to management. Lobby could use a bit of update but I wasn't planning to spend any time there. The room was completely updated including a completely new bathroom. Very well done. Had a problem with remote on TV (operator error) manager came up and got us going in short order. Breakfast was standard fare. Location was convent to Hershey. Good value for the money. If we are ever in the area again we will stay here!

« The location for touring Hershey was great and very reasonable compared to others. »

The rooms were very comfortable and quiet///staff very hepful///and the breakfast offerings were great...the automatic doors for entry and the luggage carts were a big assist,,,we always pick best western,as we know what to expect...

    « Fall Hershey Visit »

Met up with another couple to go to Hershey Park. Our family always has a nice time at Hershey. Stood here at the recommendation of family members who stood here in July. Breakfast not too bad for the kids. Not a very large assortment, but for the price of the stay, no complaints. Overall good place to stay.

    « I would stay here again. »

Friendly staff, clean rooms and hotel. Breakfast was good. The eggs were made in a way I was not familiar with, but they were good. The hotel was close to Hershey Park, where we also had a wonderful time.

    « Annual Hershey trip!!! »

We have been coming to Hershey park for the last 5 years and have stayed here and I have never been disappointed with our stay. The breakfast is great and the staff is friendly. We ordered papa johns pizza last time and they delivered it right to our room and that was great. I would highly recommend you staying here is you are heading to Hershey park.

    « Comfortable and Affordable »

My stay in Harrisburg, PA was most comfortable and affordable. While other local services [e.g. restaurants, pharmacy, gas stations, etc.] were not immediately nearby, they were accessible a few miles up the road. The staff were most pleasant, ready with a smile, and the room was always refreshed when I returned to it. I highly recommend Best Western.

« Not Sure Why People Stay Here. You Have To Work Hard To Get There! »

The hotel is passable. It was okay for a night. There is a definite smell that is noticeable when one walks in. Smells musty/bleachy. Our room was clean. Interesting décor with a picture hung right below a smoke detector and red fire signal, etc. Never have seen that before! Breakfast was adequate. The hotel was virtually empty on the Monday night we stayed there. The biggest problem with the hotel is that it is quite a distance from the freeway. The street that the hotel is on is a divided street with a barrier. You can only exit the parking lot by going right. If you need to go left, you have to go right and drive quite a distance before making a U turn or go through a residential area to get back to the freeway. While there is a restaurant right next to the hotel, there are no other food options for quite a distance. There seem to be better choices elsewhere.

    « Only so, so »

The hotel has very tired furnishings and decor. I'm not sure it was professionally done in the first place. However, the staff was courteous and the hotel is in a decent location and clean. Breakfast and lobby area is very crowded when breakfast is. Our room had a background smell as if a room freshener had been used to cover something.

    « Mediocre at Best »

We travel often, and have stayed at BWs across the US. We booked this property because it was close to the annual Hersey RV show and also close to Harrisburg and its many attractions. We stayed for two nights. First, the good: staff members were courteous and helpful, without exception. Now the bad: this property needs updates. Carpets and other decor in the common areas are badly out of date. Our room also needed renovation. Carpet was old. Bedding was a bit old. The beds themselves were a bit soft, but comfortable. Housekeeping needs to be more thorough. When we arrived in our room, there was a dead fly near the toilet. We decided to leave it there to see if housekeeping would notice. They didn't. It's still there. In the fitness room, some of the equipment is outdated, the TV was impossible to use, and there were no disinfectant wipes. The breakfast area was very small and crowded, and the food was nothing to write home about. The ice machine on the first floor requires a room key to use ("child safety lock"). The hotel directory declares how many $$ guests will be charged for missing towels, etc. Not very welcoming. In short, this is a very mediocre BW proptery. Not horrible, but it has significant problems.

    « Always welcoming! »

We stay here a fair amount. The desk clerks are always friendly and accomodating. Rooms clean and the breakfast is more than enough with eggs, sausage, waffles, cereal, pastries, juice and coffee. Actually there's even more than that. The beds were a bit firm, but that's just an opinion. All in all it is a good place to stay and will go out if their way to serve you.

    « great »

the hotel was amazing. I would recommend a lot of people to come stay at this hotel. I felt welcomed food was amazing. i would come and stay again when I make my next visit. I loved everything about the hotel good customer service.

« Best Western hotels are great hotels to stay at »

We have used Best Western many times and have always been pleased. We have used the hotel in Harrisburg Hershey many times for family reasons and are always pleased with it. We uses the Best Western in Cooperstown, NY and were very pleased with the cost and the hotel itself. There used to be one in Essex VA that we used every year and it is no longer a Best Western and we miss it and have to stay elsewhere and liked the Best Western better.

« Good but hard bed »

It was an okay experience had better but had worse. The bed was hard and connecting to the internet was confusing on a mobile devices. Breakfast had a variety of items. Very good for driving to HersheyPark! Not far at all.

« threadbare just about covers it »

We stayed at this hotel a week ago. We had a suite and paid a pretty penny for it. the bed was too soft, the linens were threadbare (some had holes), the "wood" veneer on the furniture was peeling off - I'm surprised no one got hurt. The microwave was older than me! The ceilings must be just as thin as the towels because the folks on the 3rd floor kept us up all night - try to stay on the top floor! The plumbing made the loudest sound when the water was running and there was a weird smell in the room. Don't be fooled by the pictures online - the lobby is extremely small and everything (breakfast, the small set of chairs and the front desk) were all in the same extremely tiny room. The pool is also minuscule. As a pro - everything seemed kind of clean. Breakfast is acceptable, just low on seating and the refrigerator in the room was nice and roomy. Access the hershey park is quick as well. The next night we stayed at a courtyard marriot and i felt like i was staying at a 5 star hotel in comparison!!!

« excellent for the price »

Very friendly staff, good breakfast, and the room was very clean both days. the pool though small was very clean. i will use them when we return next child loved that she could make her own waffles.

    « Near Hershey »

Stayed here for two nights. Check in was a breeze. Room was spacious and clean. The furniture is dated and worn and some basic amenities were missing. The breakfast leaves a lot to be desired. They warn you when a check in that it gets crowded so try to come down by 830. The eating area is small and does get crowded. The food was your basic hotel breakfast. Waffles, pastries, eggs, and cereal. I wanted a cheap get away so I was fine with the clean room. If you like being catered to, I would look elsewhere.

    « Hershey attractions »

Great location for all the Hershey attractions, about 10-15 mins. away. Hotel is nice and clean. Breakfast area is small, so if you want a table...go early. Otherwise you wait or take food back to room.

    « Sub par hotel. »

The included breakfast is not bad (except for the frozen hard boiled eggs and frozen yogurt), but don't expect to be able to sit down in the small eating area unless you go back to your room. Many guests lucky enough to grab a seat stay eating and talking while they watch the other guests stand around and head back to their rooms. I mean, how long does it take to eat breakfast really? I hate when people feel like shooting the breeze without any consideration for others. Don't be afraid to ask for more food, if it runs out when you are next in line. The workers there, when you can track them down will get more food. Our room was small, but expected for the price. The air conditioner does not have a continuous fan option to keep air moving, but I guess this is accepted in a low budget place. The bathroom ceiling had some mold and the toilet seat was broken and loose. The toilet paper holder is inset just under the front of the sink and gets saturated with normal sink use. Silly placement. Shower had very low water pressure. Our hair dryer started to smoke, then blew (It wasn't the hair dryer's own circuit breaker... the thing just stopped working) and we had to borrow one from the front desk. The pool water was okay, but the pool area was very, very humid (I though I saw clouds forming) and uncomfortable. A plus was the small clean gym with a separate A.C.. Cleaning crew was good, but when we asked for an extra cup from the cart, we were told to get one from the breakfast area. One cup! We took it from the cart, when they weren't looking. If looking for cheap, you can do worse so it was not bad. Good close location to Hershey ...Park, gardens, outlets etc. and Indian Echo caverns.

    « fine stay »

clean hotel, nice rooms, friendly staff, breakfast area small so it can be tough to enjoy breakfast with your family. Close to Hershey Park. easy to get in and out of the parking lot. Would stay again

    « Needs complete overhaul. »

Front desk clerk was eating pizza while checking us in. Stains on lobby furniture. Carpet stains in room. Poor quality towels. Poor quality breakfast; worst we have had at any hotel. This hotel does not deserve to have the Best Western name.

    « Good Stay »

On the whole we were very pleased with this hotel. Easy to get to.We were staying to go to Hershey Park and the drive from the hotel to Hershey was not far and easy to get to. There were plenty of places to eat near by.The kids enjoyed the pool.

    « never again »

I was very disappointed in this hotel. The room had a bad odor, shabby furniture and our hair dryer burnt out. Staff did not have another hair dryer which was an inconvenience, I had to buy my own. Breakfast would have been good but the two days we stayed there we could not get near a table, For a decent size hotel there should be more tables. Would not recommend this hotel

    « Great hotel!!! »

We stayed here for 2 nights while we went to Hershey Park. The hotel room was great size and the beds were extremely comfortable. Plenty of hot water, towels and very clean!!!! We enjoyed the breakfast (the waffles were great), used the pool and I took advantage of the treadmill every morning. Location wise-it is very convenient to the Park, Giant Center and Chocolate World. Best Westerns are not my 'go-to' hotels, but I would definitely stay here again.

    « excellent »

great service clean rooms I would tell my friends to go to a best western over any other hotel.i have stayed in them before any time we go on vacation we always stay at a best western have not found any thing better yet.

« Good place to stay »

Stayed here overnight during a family vacation to Hershey Park. Rooms were great, service was good and even checked in late (9 pm). The rooms were ready and checking in was simple. Wil be staying here again since it is close to the park and near different restaurants.

    « Smokey smell »

The hotel smelled of smoke, and it was a nonsmoking hotel. Our room especially smelled. When I reported it to front desk upon walking in the room, he said there was nothing he could do. I was very disappointed.

« Family trip to Hershey »

Room was big enough to accommodate our family of 5 and close to Hershey park. Beds were very comfortable other than that.... Hotel could definitely have been cleaner, toilet seat in our bathroom needs to be replaced so old it looked like urine stains were on it, water wouldn't drain from the tub, and shower curtain had mold on it. We had to switch rooms because the air conditioner broke and the front desk clerk was very rude wouldn't speak to me only my husband and had wise remarks for him. Pool was small and the pool area was too hot as were the hallways and lobby area, none of the A/C's seemed to work. The complimentary breakfast was disgusting and the space to get breakfast and sit was WAY too small. Although I have stayed in worse places this isn't somewhere I would ever stay again. One more thing since we had to move to the second floor because of air conditioning issues we got to be kept awake by the inconsiderate people in the room above us.

    « Great stay! »

Super friendly and helpful upon check in. Room clean, nice, quiet. Beds and pillows were comfy. Breakfast in the morning was great. Didn't get to use the pool due to some very rowdy kids and the lack of their parents caring, but in no way the hotel's fault. Great place to stay!

    « Stay at hotel »

Overall, it was ok. I had approached maintenance about an air conditioning issue, but it was never resolved. Breakfast was not appetizing at all and the presentation showed food that wasn't fully cooked.

    « great location »

I would recommend this Motel to anyone who is traveling East. Next to a great restaurant and close to Hersey park .The Breakfast they have is nice and the seating is efficient. They have a nice indoor pool and exercise room. I never used them but they look nice.

« Over Priced, Not Worth the Money »

Looking for a convenient location on our trip to New England. Desk clerk was very helpful and pleasant. The room is over stuffed with furniture. Couldn't get off the side of the bed closest to the window because of an upholstered chair and ottoman. The carpet was stained Bed and pillows were comfortable. Breakfast area is very small for the size of the hotel and the selection is limited. There are NO newspapers available free or otherwise. For the same rate for a hotel in SC, they offered free USA Today and the WSJ. For a rate of $124, something should offered. Will go elsewhere if in the area again.

« Nice hotel. Breakfast is..... Well you'd wish there was a McDonald's nearby »

We stayed 3 nights in a suite. No complaints on the rooms or staff, other than our suite having the stagnant smell of curry in it. All on that front was ok. However the morning breakfast, which is important to us since we pack light and are on the road most of the day was horrid. Selection wasn't too bad. However most of it was cold, and if you could handle eating the cold food good luck finding a place to sit. I have seen the back of sports cars with more seating than this hotels breakfast area. Out of the 3 days we had to take food to our room or the car just to eat due to no seating. Very poor in that department. We also had an issue of someone smoking pot in a room on our floor. It was so bad there were people complaining that was in the elevator with me. They had called the front desk and said that they would get it taken care of. Not long after the smell had dissipated.

    « Not worth $140.... Or even $100 »

Bed hard, neighbor room noisey till midnight, pool TINY!! N water freezing but room pool in is warm hot tub.... Tv wont change channels n the channel thats on is fuzzy.... Air conditioning is about 10 degrees off...Breakfast ok depending on what u get.... Waffles fresh made by u n good but apple was rotten completley thru center but looked good outside... Bagle hard as a rock n just not much selection.... Good points... Clean, friendly staff, close to hershey park n world n lots of shopping n food places. Bottom line, not near worth half what we paid n wont stay here ever again

« Right place for a Hershey park trip! »

Couldn't ask for anything better for staying for one night! Very easy get to! Very clean appearance. Lobby was clean, staff was great, no hassle check in! Room, beds! Just like home! They referred us to the restaurant (Skyline), which was right next door for dinner! Good eating, very reasonable too! So over all, we'd definitely stay there again!

« Best Value for your Hershey Park Trip »

I don't mind driving a few miles away for lodging that is 1) reasonable 2)well appointed and 3)clean and has great amenities. This location suited us perfectly and I'd come back next summer for our next trip to the park & brewery. The staff is wonderful, the room was clean, the location was perfect. I can't say enough. I do suggest you call them in advance to make them turn on/up the fridge, or you'll be in for a warm surprise.

    « Great for price »

Lobby was well presented as well as rooms. Very clean and very abundant breakfast spread. Water pressure wasn't so great on third floor, but it got the job done:) location was perfect, near enough to Hershey Park and stadium.

« Great hotel for a family stay. »

We stayed 3 nights at this hotel and we could not have been more pleased. Pedro checked us in and was so helpful with dinner plans. He was friendly and just perfect for a front desk position. One morning was raining and another man helped us find things to do in the rain, he was also great. Breakfast was always well stocked and there was a woman there to help with things and keep it clean. Pool was clean and nice. Rooms were clean and nice. Slight smell maybe because we were near the pool. I would stay here again.

    « food in fridge »

when i opened the refrigerator in the room there was someone else left overs. That was a little gross. Other than that place was okay. the property was well maintained. the lobby area was small but clean. was a quiet hotel. front desk people were nice. oh the air conditioner was not that great

    « Nice, friendly place »

Stayed here for two nights for a Hersheypark trip. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Great price. Breakfast was good with hot food and make your own waffles. Only downside was the location,. Was on a divided highway and had to go in the opposite direction to get on the other side of the road. Would stay here again but the price has to be right like it was this time.

« Great and close to Hershey. »

nice hotel, clean and comfortable. Affordably priced and located within 10 minutes of Hershey Park. would consider staying there again in the future. good value for the price. helpful and considerate staff.

« Trip to see Luke Bryan »

Clean hotel, nice rooms, not to far from Hershey Park. Close to restaurants to go get food. We even enjoyed the Pool for a little bit. Thought the staff wasn't the friendliest, but that was okay only interacted with them once. I would stay here again.

    « Disappointed »

Our family of 4 stayed here one night. When we checked in there were no cars in the lot. So being placed in a room with poorly patched holes in the wall & door was disappointing, but it doesn't end here. Our double bed room was much more cramped and in poor repair. The AC wouldn't stay on, and not able to keep our room cool. Our room was just above the main entrance so opening the window for cooler outdoor air meant security lights and singing birds. The hair dryer didn't work. When I mentioned these points at the front desk I was to "I'm sorry, I'll write it down". Breakfast was blah. The kids enjoyed the build your own waffles. What I can say good: the room was clean & we did feel safe. I'd recommend avoiding Room 205. And take it from us. Just speak up when you first walk in a disappointing room rather than settling!

« easy on easy off.. minutes to hershey park and yet away from the hustle and bustle with shopping malls down the road »

easy on easy off.. minutes to hershey park and yet away from the hustle and bustle with some major shopping malls down the road. This place is easy to pass. Beds were comfortable, quiet, room has a flat screen, refrig, microwave etc....I would return again.

« Good price for the area. Could do with sprucing up. »

We wanted somewhere close to Hershey Park, which seems to lift prices. Our first choices were booked and this seemed like a reasonable deal. I used AAA to get a discount. The staff were on the more relaxed side. The room was small for two adults and two tweens. Everything in the room worked, but was on the verge of ageing quickly. Our kids enjoyed the swimming pool. There wasn't a lot of noise and the location suited our needs. Wifi was average. It wasn't bad but wasn't great either.

    « Great experience »

Really good price, the indoor pool was nice and warm (which seems to be rare!) and the breakfast offerings were excellent - waffles, cereals, fruit, eggs, sausage. Not a lot of seating, but it always worked out. This is not a very big hotel, but you get a lot for a very reasonable price! Very convenient to Hershey, too! We spent two nights here, and ventured to Hershey Chocolate World, Hersheypark (if you buy your tickets online in advance, you can go the night before your visit in the final two hours before the park closes for no extra charge! They call it a "preview" and you also don't have to repay for parking the next day!). Also we journeyed to Lancaster. All of this over spring break in 4 inches of snow! Quite an adventure for this Southern family of four, but it was beautiful in the snow, I must say!

« Nice place to stay »

We were pleased with the location as well as the room and appearance of this property. We liked the breakfast (except the egg things they had, you should go back to scrambled) but overall, ok. The location of our room was good and the lobby was average size but comfortable.

    « Enjoyed our stay »

We use Best Western when we travel because we have never had a bad experience and find the service consistent across the brand. The free breakfast is a plus and when taken into consideration on room rates , it is just good value.

    « Once again, dependable. »

I've stayed at this hotel three times over the past few years and it is always clean, well kept and affordable. Friendly staff and a clean, well kept property make it a safe-feeling place to stay. Just far enough out of town to be quiet yet just a mile or two from shopping and restaurants.

    « Comfortable Stay »

The staff was so friendly and helpful at this hotel. We were heading out to Philadelphia the next morning. The staff gave us directions to bypass the tolls and saved us $18.00! Awesome and the view was much nicer. The rooms were very clean as usual. We love that about BW. The beds were comfortable so we slept well. Bathrooms were clean with good water pressure in shower. Good lighting woman. Complimentary breakfast was included. It was very sufficient and good. We would definitely stop here again. It was at a great location off the freeway and close to town.

    « Good value »

We were able to use a hotel voucher and got a very good price for the room. It was nothing fancy but it was clean and the bed was comfortable. The young man at the desk was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast could have been better -- the french toast was dried out and hard. There wasn't much of a selection.

« Everything You Need Except One Big Thing.... »

The map and Tripadvisor both pointed to this spot as a great location to explore the Gettysburg to Lancaster area for a weekend. Newer modern rooms with minimal signs of wear, a heated indoor pool, reasonable rates and a nice breakfast to boot! Within an hour of the hotel were all of the tourist spots that we wanted to see in two days. The city and National Park of Gettysburg is a remarkable place to see as is the Indian Echo Cavern, the amusements of Hershey and the Amish experience of Lancaster and many more attractions in that area are an easy destination from this centrally located hotel. The service was friendly and efficient and the maids keep everything clean enough for any realistic inspection. The one big thing that was missing for us....was a safe in the room! That's right, there are no safes in the rooms. Maybe the bulk of their guests are one night and done, but we were there for two nights and just took our valuables, medications, etc with us for the stay. We worked around it, but I just wanted the TA community to know. Overall, a very positive stay.

    « A last minute trip »

We found this hotel during a last minute search for a place to stay that same evening. Staff was very helpful. The hotel was clean the rooms nice size and clean. Breakfast was typical of hotel breakfasts, but served our needs.

    « excellent service »

the girl at the reception was nice and take the time to help us and give us good recommandation, she give us map to visit and give us place to eat she had a very nice smile food was good room was clean and all the carpet was cleaning the place was perfect to visit savannah

« Everything we expected and more! »

The staff made our stay very comfortable and relaxing! The breakfast smelled and tasted wonderful. Pedro was both professional and fun. The hotel and room were extremely clean and we didn't need to ask for anything!

    « Very nice hotel »

The room and service were very good as was the breakfast in the morning. The bed was comfortable and the room very clean. The internet worked very well There didn't seem to be many restaurants within walking distance. That would be my only complaint.

    « Hershey hair show 2016 »

Very nice Large room Breakfast was very good also well stocked we also used the pool every thing was clean and well maintained it is only a short drive to the Hershey park area and the price was a lot more affordable we were able to stay two nights instead of just one at a closer hotel

« Long weekend in Hershey. »

Grandma, Grandpa, Mom, Dad, 8 and 6 year old. Two rooms. Indoor pool big hit with kids. Decent free breakfast hit with everyone. 15 min. drive to Hershey and close to other dining. Just a little improvement could be used. Shelf in room 216 B/R was about fall off wall. Wife not nuts about soaps. A bit more dusting maybe but overall a nice place to stay at a reasonable price. A little better sound insulation(may be too late for that). Everyone(especially Pedro,Desk guy)very nice and friendly. I would recommend.

    « Comfortable and Clean »

Stayed for one night. Bed was clean and comfortable. Bathroom was clean and water was hot. TV worked well and so did fridge. Front desk was helpful with wifi sign-in and suggesting food in the area. Business center didn't work, so that was a bit of a let down. Didn't used the fitness center or pool. Breakfast was laid out well and food was warm. Would stay here again.

    « Clean, friendly »

First, several pictures on the photo page of reviews, is NOT this hotel. The one that shows an elaborate front and the huge lobby is not this hotel! This hotel is clean, great location, easy drive to hershey park and restaurants. No hot tub which would have been nice but pool is ok. We stayed three days and saw same staff every morning and every night. Pedro at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. We would stay again.

« Better late than never »

Good morning: I am very late with this review; I just came across a business card and realized I did not provide feedback for Austin; Front Desk employee. My wife and I stayed at this Hotel in Feb. 2015. When preparing for our next stop; I went to Expedia to book a reservation with Best Western in North Carolina (We were on our way to Fla.); well, I messed up badly with the date; Austin offered to assist me in making the reservation directly. Then he offered to assist in cancelling the Expedia mistake which the Expedia rep would not permit me to change. With about an hour of phone calls; supervisors; foreign language issues; Austin fixed the problem. I was and am very grateful to him for the support. Best Western is lucky to have employees such as him. Thanks Austin! George and Maura Scollin

    « Comfortable and friendly! »

Our family gathered here and had a wonderful time. The staff was very nice, especially Pedro at the front desk! He made us feel right at home. The breakfast was fine, and handy to have right there, and complimentary. I love having a fridge in the room. This was a good place for us.

« Great Value - Clean Hotel - Great Staff »

This hotel was a very clean hotel with great staff. Everyone was very helpful. Great value for the size of the hotel room. Beds were very comfortable and the pillows were excellent. We will look forward to coming back soon.

« Nice Location with Friendly Staff But a Bit of a Letdown »

The first room that we were given had a toilet which wouldn't stop running after flushing it. The second room had a broken drain plug/stopper in the bathtub. Had I known, we would have tried for another room. This shows a lack of quality assurance on the part of the maintenance staff and we expected more from a not-quite-bargain brand hotel. The breakfast was very good and the front desk staff were very quick to put the items mentioned above right or at least took careful note of the second issue, so kudos to them for that. The property was overall neat and clean and we were made to feel welcome. The room was clean and well laid out and despite the noted issues was of overall high quality. The AC unit was very noisy. The cable TV had many channels to choose from and was of the large flat screen variety.

    « Clean »

One of the cleanest hotels I've ever stayed in. Staff does an excellent job maintaining the cleanliness of not only the rooms, but the entire property. The temperature of the indoor pool was very comfortable. A very relaxing stay.

    « Europe in Harrisburg »

The decor and presentation was very European. The lobby and suite remind me of hotels in Europe as they were colourful with clean lines. The suite was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was satisfying with two hot dishes that were replenished frequently.

    « Clean, convenient to I 95, good value »

We have stopped at the Best Western Harrisburg Hershey Hotel on the way to and from Florida. It is clean and very convenient to I 95. You have to make a U-turn to cross the medium when heading north or returning from restaurants in town but it is not a problem. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is decent with boiled eggs as well as the regular waffles, cereal, yogurt, etc. Overall very reasonably priced and great value for a travel through.

    « Great customer service »

I'm judging this hotel based on the outstanding customer service I received when I needed to cancel the trip. We were driving in for a volleyball tournament and hit some really bad weather and ended up going home. When I called the next morning to cancel our hotel for the previous night and that night. The reservations person refunded all of our money. I was so delightfully surprised. When we do go back, I'll be sure to stay here.

    « Improvement needed »

The place could be very good. The price is right, the location ok, the room is large and confortable but the small items are defective and it makes it to appreciate the big picture. The details are what make it pleasant.

    « I »

Will not be back :) Your building is cheap, you can hear everything, so in other words you can't do anything. Cant play with my pet mouse or bang my wife. We had friends below us and an elevator next to us, and got noise complaints. I suspect the elevator called the front office.

« Excellent choice if in the area »

This is a wonderful hotel to stop into when traveling through this area. The gentleman at the front desk was friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. There is a small indoor pool to enjoy after a long drive. Next door is a restaurant called Skyline Family Restaurant so you don't have to jump in your car to get something to eat. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

    « Enjoyed the stay! »

Hotel was very clean and neatly arranged. Lobby and breakfast areas were well organized for a small hotel. Our room was very clean with comfortable beds and satellite/cable TV with music channels (that's not something you get at every hotel!). Staff was very personable and professional. They were very accommodating to my disabled husband, which many hotels are not. We would gladly stay here again if the occasion arises!

    « Horrible »

Hotel is nice but employees are not professional and rude I book the hotel from Priceline and paid right away. At the moment of check it - reception ppl asked for a credit card (because they thought I didn't pay - just reserved a spot) 30 mins later they agreed that it was a mistake and gave me key. Next morning I got a bill that I had been charged $51.51, and another 30 mins later and a phone call to Priceline get things cleared (not really). So I gave them my card so they can make a refund and went to work, but that 1d10t instead of refund charged me another $51.51 (that's $103.02 on top of paid room) What the **** Best Western, can you train your ppl Had to call them / waited who knows how long..... Long story short - they refunded me first $51.51, waiting for second It's ridiculous!!! Never again

« Nice quiet stay with some details that could use improvement. »

Good location and good room size for the price. Breakfast was decent and maid service good. Our room door didn't shut completely on its own, we had to push\\pull it hard to ensure the lock latched. King room with a pull out couch, fridge, microwave, and hutch, room was a great size. Bathroom was clean, but shower head could use cleaned \\replaced and shower curtain needed replaced. Overall a nice room and stay for the money!

    « Peacefull Night »

From the check in staff to the check out staff our stay was great. Very comfortable quiet hotel with indoor pool and gym. Will definitely stay here again if in the area. Nice restaurant next door, so you do not have far to travel after a long day on the road.

« Great stay, great bargain »

Everything was clean, staff was excellent! Pool area nice and very clean. Breakfast was good and well presented. All in all a very nice hotel with great staff. Very friendly and helpful. Diner next door has great take-out too.

    « Great stay »

Excellent rooms with great beds and pillows. Great breakfast with eggs, sausage, and waffles plus cold food. CLEAN and food well presented. We work at the PA Farm Show and have changeable hours so the cleaning people work around work day. Cannot say enough about the staff of this hotel. Thank you for a great week :) Pristen was GREAT and very helpful.

    « OK »

Our family stayed here for a Hershey Park trip. The hotel was a bit outdated, but clean. The staff was very accommodating and always greeted us and asked about our stay. The pool was clean, but had other guests rooms balconies peering over it, so not very private. At the time, the hotel's restaurant offered a special of children eat for free -regardless if the Adults ate there - this was a plus.

    « Farm Show Vacation »

Good value for the price, close to venue and other entertainment(Harrisburg, Hershey Park, Hollywood Casino and other venues). Heated swimming pool, exercise equipment, selection of restaurants nearby. Have been staying here for 3 years now.

« Great Hotel for the price »

First I always disclose whether I paid rack price or used a discounted vender such as hotwire no name ect which was the case here so my review is based on what I paid. The hotel is very nice for the money, the staff was great especially the night shift folks, as I am usually an early riser I usually go down and have an early coffee and read and usually get a chance to talk with them. The property itself was very clean, rooms were good size, convenient to Hershey Park. The breakfast was adequate but not what you get at some hotels and eatting area is on the small side so if it gets busy you may have to wait a bit to sit down, the water pressure in the shower is ok, our room had an adjustable head but really couldn't use the other settings such as massage as the pressure just wasn't there. The only complaint I would have was the hot water was not the greatest early in the morning, again about a 4 am shower, it was much warmer later in the morning. The indoor pool was well maintained and the temperature was excellent! Would recommend this hotel

    « Excellent Customer Service »

Nice hotel - great price. I originally booked for two nights - had to cancel due to snow coming in and needed to get home. YOGI was amazing - super helpful (as was the check in @ night.) Highly recommend

« We are big BW fans! »

Each hotel has its own flavor, and so we have seen interesting owner themed international art, western motifs, mountain wildlife motifs and a wide variety of other but the quality, safety, price and service are 100% reliable as advertised! That is why we search for BW hotels whenever we need an overnight hotel! Thanks!

    « Nice place for a stay »

Stayed here after show in Hershey and was nice. Close to the Giant Center, quiet rooms, breakfast was very good and room was clean. Shower was a bit slow but bathrooms were clean. Only problem we had was our keys were deactivated 1 hour before checkout. Pool was warm and very well kept for the off season. Overall it was a good stay.

« Ok but off the beaten track! »

Stayed one night. Place was pretty deserted but it was a week night and the hotel is a little off the highway. Room was ok...basic hotel offerings. Included breakfast which I skipped. Given a choice next time I will stay closer to the highway and Harrisburg centre.

    « Comfortable and pleasent »

Mostly very good..nice warm pool in December, TV remotes did not work in Fitness center and one in our suite...breakfast generally good but ran out of eggs and had to wait for more to be filled..quiet and nice room. Good place to stay if going to Hershey park only 10 minute drive and much cheaper than Hotel Hershey.

    « Great Stay »

This is our second year in a row that we have stayed at this Best Western Hotel. We love how nice and warm the pool is (if it isn't all we had to do is ask). The rooms were very clean and our maid was very helpful in extra supplies. Yogi was so helpful with anything extra we needed.

« Close to Hershey and Harrisburg »

Reasonably priced alternative to hotels nearer to either Harrisburg or Hershey, and only a few minutes away from each. Hot breakfast is good with waffles, French toast, and sausage in addition to other good stuff.

    « Was ok for 1 night »

There's nothing around the area. The lobby area is extremely small and our room the carpet and tv was up dated and a few mirrors and the sink in the bathroom other than that run down looking. Maybe fix the peeling wallpaper and pain the rooms. Bed was comfortable but the sheets smelled of bleach and the towel was so small it didn't cover anything. Breakfast was terrible and the coffe sucked. The pool was extremely small and overlooked the front parking lot and highway. Staff was friendly. Not worth the money I paid.

    « Do NOT recommend !!! »

We wanted a hot breakfast and "HEATED" pool. Called ahead to verify both. Upon arrival after driving 8 hours, all we wanted was a warm heated pool. Asked at check in at front desk with Pritish if the pool was heated....Yes it is. Checked in, unpacked and went to relax in the "heated" pool. ICE COLD......and unable to swim. Pritish turned on the heat full blast and told us to wait half hour to heat up. So we did....never warmed up so we were unable to swim. He informed us we could come back at 11:00 pm and swim. Really?? Next morning, pool was nice and hot. Breakfast was total disappointment and I could not eat eggs, hashbrowns or sausage. With all the hotels in the area we chose this one for those two reasons and both were not acceptable. Morning Manager, Yogi Patel, DID NOT CARE about our visit or complaints....he said we got a good rate and hid out from us. Please choose any other location since there are SO many other places to stay and spend your money.

    « Clean and comfortable »

Rooms were very nice. Beds were comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Fitness room was small, not the best I've seen, but useful none the less. Breakfast was included and had waffles, fresh fruit, yogurt, etc. A nice value for the money.

    « Late night conference »

Descent hotel. Have stayed there before for conferences in the Hershey area, usually only for the purpose of sleeping. Left too early in the morning so we did not have the breakfast; the conference ran late, so we did not use the pool.

    « Excellent value »

well appointed hotel and room. Comfortable bed. Easy access to Internet and OK breakfast. Perfect for an overnight stop en route. The hotel was 5 minutes drive from the Interstate which was a minor inconvenience, but next to an excellent diner where we had a very good supper. Used a coupon picked up at a PA Welcome Centre to get a reduced price.

    « OK at best »

Stayed here for the AACA fall show for a total of 4 nights. It used to be a Super 8 and it shows. Have stayed in a bunch of area hotels over the years and this ranks at the bottom. Rate for show was in line with premiums charged at better places in the area. Pool reeked of chemicals the entire stay all through the first floor. Breakfast area and rooms both small. Breakfast items showed evidence of low budget choices on provisions and hot items the same all days and looked to be straight from the microwave, same grey sausage patties all 4 days. Stayed an extra night as next stop on trip was booked for Saturday, rate still at premium compared to better properties in area, Also a major communication issue as most staff, and weekend guests non English speaking.

    « Nice stay »

Rooms were large and clean. Soft sheets and comforter. Nicely decorated. Just a quick stay and on our way next mornimg. Breakfast area nice. Waffles biscuits and gravy eggs and sausage. Would stay again.

« If you thought that all best westerns would be the same »

I stay at best western most of the time and only have had 2 bad experiences in my life this makes 3. Upon arrival the outside looks like a new hotel but thats where it stopped dirty carpets, dingy sheets and towels and beds that were hard and squeezed all night. Then the people running and signing up and down the halls. overnight staff and day staff could care less about assisting clients. Granted when I got my cc statement best western wasn't listed but red roof inn maybe that is why

    « Very Disappointed »

the rooms were not the cleanest nor was the bed linen--the breakfast if you could find any food was poorly prepared & very limited--had to ask for coffee 7 other items that ran out--the employees werre not very friendly--poor location

    « Overnight Stay »

We attended a wedding in Carlisle. Although this hotel was a distance from the venue, it was located on a not so busy highway. In fact, there really was no traffic noise. Also, there was a diner right next door that you can walk to... The room was clean and the customer service was great. I would definitely stay here again. The one con was the breakfast area was tiny but we just had coffee and a Danish in our room.

    « pleasantly surprised »

Everything was greand hotel from start to finish! Check-in went very smoothly. The front desk staff couldn't have been more helpful and they even had little treats for our new puppy we had JUST gotten. The rooms and hotel was quiet despite appearing to be nearly if not fully booked. Breakfast was a good deal. Couldn't do better for the price.
