If you are looking for a cheap, smoking allowed room, this is the place for you. But, if you are looking for a nice comfortable stay without worrying about your car being broke into, with soft towels and good pillows this is not it. I called the next day to cancel when I found it was a smoking hotel and they would not cancel. Spoke to manager and corporate office, everyone was nice but would not budge on the cancellation. I wrote corporate and have not heard back.
This location was the filthiest place that I have ever attempted to stay at. We were there 1 hour and I booked us at a Hilton Grand Inn. The stay at the Hilton was lovely it was clean! It was only $30 more than what I paid for this disgusting place. Never again. Best Western has lost my business and I will share my experience with everyone I speak to about the best western franchise
The staff members were welcoming. It's not a new hotel but the room was clean and the bed and pillows were comfortable. The water pressure was great. Breakfast was delicious! We didn't have the opportunity to use the pool but it looked very clean
The management is amazing. Pam is the best. I've been staying here for about 8 months off and on. She has always looked out for me. Made sure everything was to my approval. The rest of the staff is great too. I won't stay anywhere else when I come to Greenville but here at best western.
Nasty propery, would not bring family here again. Employees literally could care less that ice machines do not work. No shuttle before 8 am. Pool was nasty and vinal floors in rooms, yuck! Fridge did not work so they replaced it, how nice to bad it did`nt work. Sad, and I`m a Platnum member NEVER AGAIN.
The front desk staff was friendly. The room was clean and perfectly fine. I had a first-floor room; the second floor could only be reached using stairs. I did not have breakfast. The shuttle service to the airport was a half-hour late, and I only arrived after much prompting on my part. I will not stay here again due to this issue.
Wish they had a weekly rate to save off of there nightly price but over all the stay was good I can't complain would have stayed longer if they had a weekly rate
our room was clearly used when we came in and pamela refused to showed us the camera footage, do not recommend !
The staff is what sells this place! The cleanliness is great, and the rooms are nice but there is no better staff in the hotel industry if you ask me. They treat you just like family! I will use them every time over any place else.
As a Diamond Rewards Business Member, I expected a stay reflecting the high standards usually associated with the Best Western brand. Sadly, my experience was far from ideal. Customer Service: The front desk clerk lacked the welcoming attitude one would expect from a hotel of this caliber. I was neither greeted warmly nor offered standard welcome items, which are simple yet significant gestures that contribute to a pleasant stay. Room Booking & Billing: My reservation for a king non-smoking room was misconstrued as a double smoking room. This led to unnecessary confusion and delays in settling into my room. Additionally, I suspect billing discrepancies that resulted in higher charges than appropriate. Room Quality: The room had multiple issues ranging from a clogged shower to cleanliness concerns like waxy, blood-like substances on the floor and poorly cleaned sheets. The presence of roaches in the room was the last straw, raising serious questions about the hygiene standards of the property. I sincerely hope the management takes immediate actions to rectify these issues. This experience has been a significant setback in my relationship with the brand.
If the pool had been open the stay would of been great.but the pool was closed all weekend the staff keep me informed, because I had jumped the fence to the pool to just sit by it.but that was frown aponded.
Great place for good price. Extremely helpful staff. I would definitely stay here again. I forgot my toothbrush and they gave me a free toothbrush. I am traveling and did not have a car so this was a huge time saver for me.
Rooms were good, unable to swim with no notification upon check in. Breakfast staff talked about guest and made fun if my 10 year old daughter. Staffs underwear showing while cleaning tables as we were eating
Had a screaming lady for ours arguing outside of our room. We called front desk and they got her in her room where she still argued and yelled till 5/6 am. Didn't get any sleep. Won't stay again !!!!!
Staff very nice and helpful, breakfast was good as well. Make to ask for nonsmoking room because if not everything will smell like smoke when you leave! Overall it was ok and would probably stay there again
Sketchy sketchy location we felt very unsafe and were denied a refund when requested because we wanted to go somewhere else. Room was a non-smoking room that reeked of smoke. If I could give this place a zero, I would. Only plus is there's a Waffle House next door.
The price was very good. Breakfast was very good-eggs and sausages. Heating system was very fast, it became too hot and had to be turned down in 10 minutes. Our room was very clean. It seemed a little stale at first, perhaps not used recently
Room was clean. Breakfast looked great but we did not have time to eat, Couch was broken, making it impossible to sit on. Bathroom door would not close. The water from the shower would shoot over the curtain soaking anything on the towel rack or laying on the top of the toilet.
I would have left a better review but when I reached out management about the lights flashing like a strobe in my room she blew me off saying "a flashing light can't hurt anyone". For anyone with chronic migraines or seizures it sure can. Please do some research or at least treat people better.
In May, I came to the Greenville SC area and found BW Greenville Airport Inn. I have decided to relocate to the area. It's almost Thanksgiving and I have been here going on four weeks (with a 3 night gap for an out of state emergency). The front desk, maintenance and housekeeping have been phenomenal. They even permitted me to leave my vehicle in the parking lot as I had to catch a flight and return three days later.
Our stay was not as pleasant as we'd hoped. 1st room had construction materials in it still, 2nd room was very out of date and infested with pests, we killed several before we switched rooms for the 3rd time. The 3rd room the light in the bathroom room flickers, paint on ceiling was peeling, shower curtain was ripped, almost forgot had a roach and other pests come from under the floor moldings. I also had the misfortune of being placed near smokers both times so when they smoked outside it would get sucked up by the air conditioning unit. So the room would have the stench of cigarettes throughout the day. Only pleasant part of our stay was the lobby cleanliness. Wish I felt the same way while staying in our room. Just overall very dissatisfied with the whole stay.
Upon arrival we were greeted by a woman wearing her hat on backwards. Absolutely no sense of professionalism. We did not feel safe at all at this location. The building is old and in poor condition. The beds are also old and had the worst pillows I have ever slept on. We will never return to this location!
Great value, excellent staff. Clean room. The staff was professional and courteous. This hotel is conveniently located near I85 with plenty of attractions near by. The breakfast is outstanding and offers variety . I highly recommend.
I would not be leaving this review if the Best Western Customer Service Department had bothered to respond to me, as this should be extremely embarrassing to them. I have given them three weeks. The room was filthy. Flies, ants, and gnats. I bought bug spray instead of complaining. All the soap/shampoo etc. dispensers were empty so I bought those as well. And I am a fairly boring middle-class worker, so my favorite part of the visit was when the staff CALLED THE COPS ON ME. For sitting in my car after work. In front of my room. Charging my phone. Honestly the best thing I can say about the visit was that the officer who showed up was more annoyed than I was, and more apologetic than the Customer Service Department of this obviously very poorly-run company. Again, if they had bothered to respond to the fact they publicly embarrassed me, I would not be leaving this review.
I don't really recommend that you stay at this hotel, if you have other options. If I am ever back in the area, I will definitely stay somewhere a bit more expensive. It just wasn't clean. As soon as I got out of my vehicle, I see an orange cap for a hypodermic syringe. That was a huge red flag for me. I understand the hotel has really no control over people using drugs but it speaks for some of the type people who are more than likely staying there. If you do stay at this hotel for some reason, be careful and stay alert for used syringes. I didn't see any lights at all in the dog park area, it's at the back of the hotel and you don't want your wife or kids back there after dark. The room was not clean at all. I do not feel the sheet/blanket was washes, please see the pictures I took. I just really recommend you pay more and stay at a better, safer, cleaner hotel. As we was leaving, a man was spray painting his car in the back parking lot. I have never seen anyone spray painting their car in a hotel parking lot before. This is the type people that stay at this hotel.
If you have a pet don't let them put you in the back dog rooms. Drinking- Smoking and hanging out. Lots of noise and nobody cares. Plus my refrigerator was broken. Ladies at the front were nice but the “gentleman” when checking out did not care. I deserve better for 2 nights and 224$.
good service,Internet worked great,We enjoyed our stay and price helped too,Would recommend ,clean and easy in and out.Didnt use the pool but looked nice,Would stay again and also waffle house next door.Good service there also
I will be contacting corporate with photos and details. Would not recommend this hotel. I have stayed at other Best Western this past year and this hotel does not meet corporate standards. They need Berger management or owners that care.
We needed a place to stay to catch a 4AM flight out of GSP, The room was comfortable. They had 24 hour coffee, so we made 2 cups, and took it to the room, and heated it in the microwave to get us energy to get to the airport. The airport was a 10 minute drive. The staff was extremely nice. There was a charge on our bill from the internet booking that was wrong, and they fixed it no argument just a smile.
Liked · Staff was friendly and efficient. Good price for a weekend night on Easter Weekend. Room was dated, but clean. Appreciated the tabel and chairs so we could eat. Disliked · Dog park was not well kept. It was nice that they accomodated dogs, but the park and adjacent picninc area were full of dog poop. Dog owners fault, I know, but the hotel's responsibility to maintain. Central courtyard was used by dogs as well. Room was noisy from loud staircase outside the door. Parking area in back was active until past midnight by teenagers and noisy truckers
This is the best option in Greenville at this price point and definetely for pets. The fenced in area for dogs is amazing, the rooms are clean, well appointed and the staff is great. I'm not sure what happened to my last review from months ago but the place remains the best option.
We stayed 3 nights at the hotel. Very clean rooms and restaurant area. Nice front desk people and very helpful. Could use a few more options on breakfast but good overall! The hand soap dispenser was cool. The one in our bathroom didn't work for the shampoo, body wash, and conditioner that was ok.
Very professional and I am very happy to stay here for all my future stays in Greenville SC. The manager Mr. Willie is very helpful and I had no complains during my stay. I recommend this hotel for both leisure and business visits.
I prefer Best Western over all hotels ever. I'm glad I chose this hotel, shopping was made easy and ordering food and being able to receive the best customer service. The House Management Team was very helpful accommodating my stay. I appreciate your staff and my stay. Thank you
Appearance on website DOES NOT match reality. If it hadn't been so late when we arrived, we NEVER would have stayed. Although the lobby looked OK and the front of the hotel appeared to be nice, this BW was run down, dirty, and had people actually LIVING in these rooms, smoking pot in the parking lot by the 1st floor rooms, very sketchy people wandering the property. We felt very UNSAFE. Room was old and run down. Floor was FILTHY, probably hadn't been washed in years. While checking out the next morning I encountered another woman doing the same. She asked me what other hotel she could go to because this BW was so bad and she wasn't staying. Do Not Stay There!
I've stayed in Best Westerns all over the US and this was one of the worst, in terms of cleanliness, that I've seen. The room had not been swept nor mopped, the light in the bathroom didn't work, there was an open toothbrush container on the sink, and there was a strong perfume smell in the room. We were first told there were no other rooms available, but then the front desk manager (miraculously) found one and moved us to another room. That room was somewhat cleaner, but had holes in the walls where pictures should have been and there was a used towel hanging on the back of the bathroom door. The outside of the property was in very bad disrepair and needed to have trash picked up all around. When I checked out, there were other guests complaining about how their room wasn't clean, so this must be a problem all over the hotel. I definitely feel that we were ripped off with the price we paid, thinking this hotel would be up to Best Western standards. I will never stay at this property again!
The staff working here were extremely rude and I will never stay at this location again I had to reach out to corporate because it was so bad and because of how they treated us we were displaced all because we decided to walk next door to get breakfast at the Burger King next door. And because we did that we were told that we could Not stay there another night.
This room was adequate for the money the city was sold out during that weekend or I would probably stay somewhere else the overall cleanliness of the room was a three out of five there were gnats in the room but appreciated the fact that there were no cockroaches or the money I would stay again
The hotel is dingy and the lobby looks run down. I could not find someone to check us in at 10:15 PM. I thought bout just leaving and going somewhere else, even though I paid for the room. Finally someone came out. There were people hanging out in the parking lot, and the common area by the pool. MY wife did not feel safe.
The overall appearance was well below standards. The room next door had the plate glass window broken out. Makes you wonder if someone broke in or there was some dispute among guests. The property just looked uncared for. Not at all what we've come to expect from being a platinum BW customer.
Had a wonderful weekend and stay at the Best Western Greenville Airport Inn. Rooms were very nice and renovated. Front office area and staff were exceptional. Will definitely be back and highly recommend!!!!
DO NOT STAY HERE!!! This place was TERRIBLE!! I was awaken at 4am because I was itching on my neck arm and back, I literally wanted to rip my skin it was itching so bad I turned on the lights and pulled the covers and long and behold there was a red bug crawling on MY BED!!! I went to the front desk at about 6:30am and I showed the video of the bug and I showed them the places I was bit and the front desk clerk was very dismissive and didn't care AT ALL. All he said "well I can change your room if you want" I told him I did not want to stay there at all and said I needed to contact expedia for the refund even though my card was charged at the hotel and not expedia. I have bites all over and some are getting swollen and very red. I went back and was told that the general manager would contact me and have YET to hear from them!!!!!!!!
From checking in at the front desk, to an amazingly clean room, comfortable mattress and pillows (that I would love to take home with me), everything was great. This was not a pleasure trip, but rather a trip due to a death in the family, so having everything at the hotel run smoothly and comfortably sure made our trip better. It's the little things that help at a time like this. This is our hotel of choice when visiting Greenville. Keep up the superb work!!
Our room was nice and clean. Loved that I could smell the bleach on the towels and sheets! The beds were comfortable and the ac was nice and cool. Absolutely loved the water pressure in the shower!!! Would definitely stay here again.
I had a peaceful stay and the front desk staff was so nice and helpful. The house keeping cleaned my room everyday very well because I was hesitant to stay anywhere doing this Pandemic. The shuttle driver was the best!
My stay was simply the best! Thanks bestwestern for being so accommodating and reliable. For this you are my #1 go to hotel for business and pleasure. It's hard to believe I would get this treatment for such a value price..
Confusion with information about a late check-out request. Staff became confrontational and threating while saying I was told incorrectly. 3 staff members came to door in less than 15 minutes - one of which was the manager on duty.
This Best Western is good for minimal or a certain extended stay. The assistant manager is lively and gets the job done. It's not luxurious, but the staff is helpful and straightforward. Willie is the best assistant manager I have seen in a long time. Lupe does her job effectively when checking guestrooms for service cleaning.
The door to my room locked us out after 2 nights. The key worked but door would not open. We reported it and maintenance came and fixed the door. The following morning I walked out of the room and my family was locked IN the room and I was locked OUT. Once again I had to get maintenance to open this door for me. Thank God that nothing had happened during the night, because if this had happened in an emergency there is no telling what would have happened. Absolute depth trap.
I was very pleased and satisfied. I will be coming back to the same spot! I love my stay and was accommodated. Very clean and fresh sheets and towels. The best thing I like is that everything was smooth and the breakfast was amazing. Fresh and very satisfying
The hotel is quite dated in comparison to many hotels I've stayed before. It is only two levels though so that's nice. It has a Waffle House on one neighboring side and the other side is a Burger King. Not much else in the area.
A tree fell on our house which sent us to the Best Western we knew it was the only place that didn't have a lot of drug activity. And 1 of the few hotels that still have smoking rooms. Willie at the front desk was AMAZING.
Needs some work on the updating of the rooms. The tub was in terrible condition enough that we would not get in it even after 10 hours on the road just packed up and left for our next destination. Probably the not so best best western I have stayed at in 3 years of using Best Westerns
I wanted this stay to be better. We stayed out of need, traveling with our dog which limited our options. As a result we were put on the backside of the building, where it appeared at least one room might have been a long term resident, and another a suspicious group of young persons in and out of the room at all hours. The bed was much better than expected; the staff was very accommodating. If with a dog, head elsewhere.
My husband and I stayed here this past weekend. We have never before stayed at a Best Western and sadly I don't think we will be back. Certainly not this one. The staff and service was great and the location can't be beat since it's right off Interstate 85. The room we had claimed to be a non-smoking room and for the most part it was. However, the hotel is designed in a motel fashion where there are outside doors for every room. So even though we were in a non-smoking room, anyone who smoked outside our room, we smelled it through the HVAC unit. The rest of the time, the room had a moldy smell to it and a bathroom door that would not close without a fight it was warped so badly. Needless to say housekeeping did the best they could but it's hard to maintain a facility that is sorely outdated and in need of repairs. In the end, we had to deal with bugs the last night we were there and decided to just leave we were so disgusted. My husband also says he didn't feel physically safe staying there.
Very basic. Lumpy mattress. Empty shampoo soap dispensers. Needs security patrolling exterior rooms. Website states continental breakfast but only provide paper sack with one fruit and one muffin and coffee.
Best Western is located in a business district close to Michelin. The shopping area is over across the overpass on I-85 which is a great location, but the Hotel need to address the trash outside on side of building, almost look like a homeless person is living there. Also, I think it is an extended stay, plus they are pet friend. Dogs and cats have it better then humans now.
I called in advance they said I had room to park the truck with the trailer. Extremely extremely difficult to get it in there he had to go around the building to get lined up to back in and you were still in the middle of the road to do it I wouldn't recommend it for truckers. Room was clean bed was nice comfortable pillows were way too small the service was good pool was closed due to Covid no breakfast due to Covid and less you wanted the bag so overall it's just not worth $70
This hotel is near the airport and is an older model but clean. Comfortable rooms. Next door is a Waffle House and just a few steps in the opposite direction is a Burger King that you can walk to. Stayed here because they offered a shuttle to and from the airport. Drivers were very courteous. Breakfast actually had a number of choices and the food was hot.
Clean and efficient. Great and helpful staff always keep us laughing. For the money, you cant find better amenities. Quiet. Waffle house is right there if you hungry. Breakfast has nice variety. All and all its an excellent experience.
This is where I stay whenever I am in town. I love the staff (especially Willie), they are always so nice and accomidating. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. Up to date rooms. The internet is great! I have accidentally left items in the room and they always make sure they get back to me! They really go out of their way to accomidate their customers
Great for the price always clean. Feel a little rushed out at check out time. Other than that never had any problems. Staff for the most part is respectful and helpful. I don't have anything else to say but this is requiring more characters. So there!
I chose this Best Western for the location, it's close to the airport and right off the interstate. The hotel could use a little update but it was clean with friendly, helpful staff. I would stay here again for these reasons.
Clean and courteous. Mr. brown helped us locate and return item we had left behind. Convenient to places east of Greenville.. Better than most places we stay that are just off an interstate. Rating is relative to other chain motels.
We stayed there for a football game weekend (Clemson). The price was just what we needed. The rooms weren't anything fancy, but I do not care about fancy. The room was clean and quite large. Everything worked just fine (bathroom, TV, door locks). The bed was very comfortable. I did not like the pillows which were square shaped. Put they were soft. I will stay there again for sure
We have stayed in many best western hotels all over the country and by far this 1 was the worst to the point we called Rewards about this situation because the location offered nothing to accommodate us
Hotel does NOT look like the pictures on here. Our room was a nice size. However it wasnt the cleanest in the world. The floors were laminate which is nice, but they were so dirty you couldn't walk on them barefooted without having black feet. I ended up taking a towel and wetting it to mop the floor. We asked for a 5am wake up call on our last night which we never got. The breakfast was decent. Would not stay here again because of the wake up call.
The shuttles to and from the airport were great. We parked our car and flew out, then returned one week later to spend the night. Both times we had a quick shuttle ride. The room was very nice and quiet.
The room was clean, but the hard floors couldn't stay clean with two dogs and rainy weather. Had to wear socks to keep feet from getting filthy. (The only reason to miss carpet!) The dog park is convenient, but our dogs didn't like the long grass, so it didn't help them much. But for the price, we would stay again.
I had to evacuate for Dorian I have several pets (more than 2) and I was permitted to keep them all with me in hotel and they provide and fenced area for potty and play this extra mile really relieved my mind while worrying about my home every thing was very nice room, service, staff and service thank you BW
The room was nice, but the noise was ridiculous. It is 1115 at night, and there are kids screaming outside our door. Called the office, and was hung up on. No thank you! Our last stay here! I wouldn't recommend this hotel at all!
Arrived with the front desk person sitting in a chair in another office and finally say what do you want, and when told he said is would be about 10 minutes. Got to front desk to check in and never welcome us but said driver license and credit card. Rude!!!!! Told him was a reward member never offered to help us. Get to room and had to call 3 times to have a old sheet replaced. Only person to help was morning front desk. Found out also that they tried to charge a extra 10 a day still have not seen my credit
Great atmosphere, amenities, front desk staff. Nice spread for breakfast. Large room. Nice room amenities. I didn't have a handicap accessible room, but I got around very well. Sausage could use some seasoning.
I enjoyed where I stayed at. The location was very convenient to expressway. It was convenient to eating places as well. The hotel staff was nice. The hotel cleaning person for our room was nice also.
Hotel stay for local dog show. The hotel was clean and quiet for the mpst part. The pool is lovely, unfortunately because there are construction workers and their families living there during the week and three baseball teams were there during the weekend, it was far too busy. My room was not cleaned the first day and the in room coffee was never replaced. All in all, my stay was nice for both my show dogs and me.
This was one of the worst stays I've had in a long time! The only area of this motel that was nice was the pool area & that's only if you don't mind sitting with smokers & it wasn't just tobacco products that were being used. Our room was adequate but the dead bolt on the door was broken & one of the beds leaned to the side making sleeping a challenge. A maintenance person can to fix the door bolt, he was clearly not happy about it He put in screws that were stripped & so the bolt could easily be pushed in I definitely didn't feel safe there. They did once again try to fix the bed & bolt but neither wasn't much better. The last day we were there there were a bunch of male guests hanging around the rooms making remarks when we walked by. The staff didn't seem concerned but I was very unhappy about the whole situation. The last night we were there someone came pounding on the door about 200AM I called the desk & the attendant came very quickly as well as the police which tells me that we weren't the only room disturbed. No one explain why this happened or even asked if we were ok. They also seemed to know the person pounding on our door. This is a motel not hotel with room doors on the outside of the building. You can smell pot being smoked most of the night disgusting!!!!! I will never stay there again even if the room was free!!!!!
This is a great place to stay for airport travelers, shopping and food near by. We always use this Best Western when traveling through Greenville, SC. I love their friendly and helpful staff,. Always a treat.
We arrived about 9:30pm. The desk clerk and all the staff was great. The room was clean and bed was fine but the ceiling needed repairing. Looks like they were doing some renovations and that lots of workmen were staying at the hotel. Very quiet. Breakfast was average but good. This is was a great stop for a few hours sleep at a great price
We booked this hotel because of the proximity to the airport, and because of the affordable price since we were only going to be there overnight for an early flight. The room was overall good, with wood like floors which was a bit dirty, bed was comfortable and bathroom was extremely clean. The room also had a microwave which I am grateful for. The attendants were friendly and helpful. If I had not gone out of my room, my experience would have been totally different. I saw questionable guests or people that I assume were guests on thr lobby, outside the courtyard the smell of weed was very strong and I am glad my room was not facing the pool because of the constant noise. At some point there were people lighting up fireworks on the parking lot. I am glad that we only stayed for one night but definitely will look for other options if flying through this airport again.
This hotel is so conveniently located....whether you are flying in or out of Greenville/Spartanburg airport or just on a vacation in South Carolina....The room was immaculate and had all the conveniences you would want. Breakfast was terrific...
It very quite and very clean which is a plus to me. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The Front desk clerk Willie is very polite and funny. Check in was also fast and courteous and I like that I don't have to go to the front desk to check out just leave your keys in the room.
I'm not a hotel snob by any means, but come on. Two bath towels were dirty (one had actual dirt, the other one had long brown hair on it). Do they even wash the towels here? Garbage dumpsters near guest rooms with dirty concrete around them. Questionable guests (Maybe long-term residents?).
My plans changed at the last minute and I picked this property based on reviews. Located just off the interstate, I was concerned about traffic noise, I had a room in the second building on the ground floor and didn't have any problems. The room was clean and everything worked as it should. A small flat screen TV, with limited channels. Decent water pressure and plenty of hot water. Breakfast was the usual, a selection of hot and cold choices. It was kept stocked and clean by staff. There's a courtyard pool, it was very popular with the other guests. I only saw it from a distance, so I won't comment on the cleanness. A couple of restaurants next door offer food options within walking distance. I would stay here again.
We stopped here on our way to Atlanta and I am so glad we did. The room was clean and the perfect size. I know some people don't like the old style hotels but I do. It's nice to be able to open your hotel room door and be outside. It's nice to be able to park in front of your hotel room and have accesd to your car. It makes it easy to bring your luggage back and forth. I loved the hardwood floors. What a great idea. Our room also had a table with two chairs set up which is great if you wanted to sit down for a meal. The staff was great, especially Willie. He has the perfect personality for what he does. He is a great asset to your company. So overall, we had a fantastic stay here at this hotel and next time I am in the area, you can guarantee I will staying here. Thank you for such a great stay.
Always very helpful staff. Clean and very soft beds. I stop here 2 or 3 times a year on my business trips to Atlanta and Orlando and Saint Petersburg, Florida. I travel all over the world on business but drive for East Coast Meetings and always try to stop here because you know everything will be easy and friendly.
Good location. Average breakfast. Rooms dated and old motel style with exterior entry. Staff not real friendly and seemed overwhelmed at check in. Liked the hard flooring in room but it was not clean; floor was gritty and sticky.
We stayed here 1 night. Outside facing room (113, 2 standard beds), parked right outside our door. Was here with my 2 daughters (22 &17). felt safe, well lit parking and location. Our room was clean and quite basic. No frills. I know they are remodeling rooms, however, we heard no construction racket during the evening or morning, nor did we feel like the place was overrun by work crew. We saw folks with dogs (up to 60 lbs +/-), and owners had them on leashes. Very easy to access from I85 coming from the N or S; it is just East off the exit. There are grocery stores and plenty of food options on the west side of I85 (other side of the interstate from the hotel). We ate at CA Dreaming and it was great! BW had an INCREDIBLE breakfast! Eggs, bacon, biscuits, delicious make your own waffles and juice. Enjoy!
I wasn't expecting miracles for the cost to be honest but I chose this hotel as it was the second cheapest. It turned out really well, the location was pretty quiet, it was peaceful at night with no drama and I had a pool facing room to look out on! The king bed was big and comfy and there was also a sofabed. An iron, ironing board and hairdryer were also provided and there was fast, free wifi. Would definitely stay again!
We were scheduled to stay here after a flight from Dallas. Unfortunately, our flight was canceled at the last minute. We called the hotel and tried to cancel, but they insisted on charging the entire nights fee. No consideration for weather delays. The person I talked to was very rude even began shouting. Cannot be a very good place to stay!
This was our first ever stay at a best western. I knew I should of steered clear right from the beginning when the receptionist answered the phone abruptly and with out identifying where I was calling or who I was speaking too. And when I asked if this was in fact the best western ? He asked,”did you not hear the recorded intro to this call?” How rude! It never got any better! I had no idea beautiful Greenville had such an ugly side of town ! Lobby- if that's what you call it was cramped, dark, and dingy. Very uncomfortable waiting the 15 minutes to check in. But we did get to listen to housekeeping complain while we were waiting! Should I go on?? Just don't do it!! Oh yeah, the door to your room at a rate of 135/night is on the outside !!
The room was clean. Type of place you would bring a one night stand. Very basic and way overpriced for the quality. Booked through Priceline paid almost $200 for 2 nights. Upon arrival, gentleman at front desk gave the impression he really did not want to be bothered - what he did well was give me the room key and take the method of payment. Not friendly or welcoming at all. My son said he seemed like someone who does not like his job. I was very disappointed in the quality of this hotel - just didnt feel like a true Best Western. I would not stay here again. If you want to pay $100 per night for a "basic" facility - this is your place. If I had paid $49.99 per night - I would have expected what I received.
Got there at 5:30. Front desk lady obviously on something, sends us to a room. The room not ready. Rooms outside, smelled like weed. Didn't stay. Left 2 vm for GM, never called back until I called Corp, still Charged
I was looking for a better facility that was dog friendly, on my return north, from a winter in Florida, and I always stay at the Best Western Clermont, outside of Cincinnati with immense satisfaction,so I thought I would try this Best Western on the first night of my travels. First of all,if you're coming from the south on I-385,be sure you use a GPS unit, because this facility is hard to find for the first time visitor. And, if you're headed north the next morning on I-85 to get to I-26 west,be sure to get gas before you check in at this hotel. That's because the next morning when you leave, and turn right out of the hotel parking lot,you are almost immediately at the entrance ramp to I-85. ...A nice way to get back on the expressway, just be prepared the night before! Check-in was somewhat of a hassle, and it didn't need to be. When I made the reservation two weeks earlier, I had read the reviews like you're reading now,and among pet owners the advice was to stay on the backside of the hotel because it was quieter, and it was closer to the dog park,at the rear of the hotel. I made this request with "Willie",but when I checked in,I was given a room on the side of the hotel, not the backside as I had earlier requested.I went back in to the check in desk a bit irritated, and told the counter person I wanted a similar room on the backside, which is then what I got. Not only is finding this place a challenge, but finding the room can be as well. The room numbers aren't on the door, they're on the outside wall next to the door, and that's a minor problem because they can't be easily read from inside a vehicle. The room numbers need to be significantly larger,on the door, and in brighter contrasting colors! The room itself was fine, but there were a few deficiencies worth noting. The coffee maker was on the vanity to the left of the sink, but there wasn't any plug in outlet nearby,so I had to move it to another location on the nightstand. On the desk to the right of the TV,there was only one plug in outlet for the laptop, under the lamp. The shower/tub combination was well done however because it was slightly oval shaped,as was the shower curtain,a much appreciated feature that provided more room in the shower.Adding to that, the bottom of the tub had a nice non slip surface, and there was safety bar on the side for added stability in the shower. A minor detraction from that was that both the shampoo and body gel dispensers were empty. At night, the king size bed was a pillow top,and very comfortable. Outside, the grounds were reasonably clean, but the dog park and adjacent picnic area were filthy with dog poop everywhere. You have to watch your dog very carefully, as well as where you put your feet! ...The good news is that this area is well illuminated at night with floodlights. Breakfast the next morning was pretty good, although it was very busy with workers filling up before they headed off to work.Food was pretty good, and the staff was kept busy refilling the food servers. After that, it was out the driveway, and onto I-85,and then I-26,heading back to northern Michigan. I'll stay there again next fall because it's a little better than the place I used to stay at in Spartanburg, but mainly because of the breakfast. Other than that,it's a little better, but just a little.
When I go to a best western I have high expectations. The rooms need to be clean. Everything working. Staff friendly and then a great breakfast in the morning. I got almost that but all the problems were quickly corrected so I won't conplain. Our room was awesome. When our door key wouldn't work out maintance guy Cosme right up to fix it. The only unenjoyable experience was our ditzy clerk. I just think our check in took unnecessarily long...but that's just a personal opinion. I would definitely stay here again when back in town.
Visited Greenville, had previous good experiences with Best western hotels before.so chose this one..I can say the best of best western hotels i stayed before..The bed was comfortable. Shower and bathroom are modern and well equipped.Complimentary breakfast was very good. The coffee was tasty in particular..can choose for my next visits too.
I chose this hotel because it had the best reviews for a hotel in the lowest price bracket. I had very low expectations, but was so relieved and very happy to find it was a great deal better than what I hoped for! The first thing I do in a room is check out the beds. They were spotless - very clean, crisp sheets. And the 2nd thing I do is check out the bathroom, and here I was amazed! It was so clean that I actually felt sad we did not have time to take baths (very quick trip)! I can say I got exactly what I wanted. For the price I paid, this was way above expectations - felt 100% safe, it was very clean, the beds were very comfortable, and the staff was excellent! It even had a personal, unique feel to it. It's an older property, but *very* well run and maintained. *Very* clean!!
This motel is a little difficult to access this motel, particularly during rush hour. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good. The staff was very helpful when I had a dead battery the next morning.
excellent hotel for airport parking, Close to many restaurants and has frequent shuttle service to the airport. Breakfast was good, and all the staff were really helpful. Located far enough off the freeway that the sounds did not bother our sleep.
This Best Western was clean, well kept, and comfortable. It is close to the Greenville-Spartanburg airport. The room we stayed in was very nice. King size bed, with a little couch and coffee table. Mini fridge too.
Hotel is ok. Rooms are clean and it's located close to restaurants. It is close to Airport, so is convenient if you are taking an early flight. If you are trying to get in or out of the hotel during rush hours is almost impossible, which is a big problem.
I love this hotel. It is close to the highway, the airport, and downtown. The ambience is very modern. Great beds and I love the fact that the floors in the room are laminate and not carpet. It is so clean. And the staff is so accommodating and the check ins and outs are quick. If you are looking for a clean, secure, easy in and easy out hotel that sleeps great- This is your place. Make sure you bring your own shampoo and conditioner though. They do have it in bulk in the showers but I prefer a better quality. I stay here every time I get to Greenville!!!
this is a very clean appealing motel if you like "sterile". Seems very odd not to have carpet, rugs, etc although I'm sure it's cleaner that way. Minimum number of towels & cloths or any other supplies. Worst tasting coffee in room, better in breakfast room. Just did not feel any comforts in this room and prefer to walk on carpet in my bare feet!\\\\a little pricey for what you get
Nice hotel, good hot breakfast and a good fenced-in dog park, although it would be better if owners cleaned up after their dogs. Conveniently located right off Route 85, and across the street from a gas station with good prices. I would stay there again.
Room was perfect...immaculately clean ...great TV except it did not offer New York's ABC programs....breakfast was perfect with a very diligent caring woman at the helm...great location even though we were just passing through but is great for airport people.....
A great, friendly staff could not make up for beds that sagged in the middle because they had clearly never been turned. Or a room toilet that was at least 3-4 inches closer to the floor than the one in the entry way. Or eggs that had clearly been reheated and were inedible. We decided not to stay at this brand anymore since we cannot count on uniform quality.
As a mature woman I felt safe and comfortable in the room they selected for me. I had n early flight the next morning and appreciated the free shuttle to the airport. i did not have time for the free breakfast although it looked very good.
I'm torn on this review. On one hand - the room was large and appeared quite clean. Everything was functional. No real complaints. The heater worked well, the hot water hot and the pressure was good in the shower. But overall the property was pretty lackluster. Probably made worse by the proximity to a main drag. I wouldn't want to pay full price to stay here. The bed had some visible sagging. The floors were cold. It had the feel of a mediocre AirBnb somehow. But discounted, the price was right.
An ok motel right beside the Interstate. Depending on which side of the hotel you are on, it can be pretty noisy. The biggest problem is that you are on the wrong side of the highway if you want to go to the local shopping center or any of the good restaurants close by - you either need to drive or take an Uber. Rooms were clean - but it feels a bit like you are paying $100 a night for a $70 a night hotel room.
The hotel was very clean and fresh looking. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The shuttle service to and from the airport made check in easy and the hotel provided out front parking for leaving the car while we traveled. Breakfast was welcoming and had many delicious choices. The only thing that was a little hard was the bed.
Very clean place to stay The room was very large and well kept Thee lobby area well kept and plenty of ameneties to please anyone The breakfast was well done with a large variety Checkout was easy and quick
We stayed here for a week. The room was spotless, cleaned every day. Nice pool but we didn't use it due to the weather being a bit chilly. Good breakfast hot and cold budget style. English tea available as well as all the American delicacies, waffles grits etc. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Free shuttle to local airport. Not much to do in the area but ideal for as as a base having travelled to a wedding.
Stayed at this Best Western while in town for a concert. Not too bad a drive to and from Bon Secours Arena in downtown Greenville. Would definitely consider staying here again the next time we are in town.
I give them a 10 they were so thoughtful, we cane from Lake City SC to avoid hurricane and my mom ended up in hospital for 4 days they were so nice to me and my fiancé and moms cat. It was also close to everything Thank you again Best Western
The staff acts like they dont care. Breakfast was gross mu clothes and items was removed from my room which was a simple mistake. But it took them 2 days and the police to get my stuff back. Never coming coming back.
I just started overnight on a Friday. The room was clean. Priced well, for the amenities. I really didn't need a fridge or microwave but may in the future. Breakfast was very good. Staff was friendly. Since my daughter is moving to the area I'm sure I'll be back. Just a note pool was quite small and shower needed some sort of shelf or ledge for personnel items. There were body soap and shampoo dispensers in the shower but I prefer to use my own products.
I spent the night with an elderly relative and we had a difficult time using room 125. The shower has bars but it was difficult to get into a tub situation. If you are having trouble with legs, stepping over the side of tub doesn't work. It really needs a shower that a person could be wheeled in or walk right into. The sink is located in the shower room so another person cannot really use that part while someone else is showering. The bed is so high my relative could barely get up on it. There were really no chairs that would work for her situation. The desk chair rolls and kitchen table by room door has chairs with no arms to push up with. The lighting is very low with very few lamps, etc. There is not really much room to get around in there if you have a walker or wheelchair. The ironing board is in an awkward place and I was afraid it was going to fall on us - no closet - just sitting next to section for hangers. The pillows were so big I could not get comfortable on them. It was a clean room. That is about all I can say positive about it. They just really need to rethink that room altogether. And...it is is so far from the front lobby that a person would have to travel very far to get to breakfast/checkout. It really needs to be closer to lobby. Also beware if you arrive when all the trucker mentor people show up. The lobby was very crowded on a Wednesday at 4PM when we arrived. It took forever because all of these people were arriving to check in for some sort of conference thing...and there was only one person on the desk. I really felt sorry for her, but they really need more staff for those times/situations. Our second stay a few days later was a little better experience but not much. We were in another handicapped room - 115 - The bed was still too high, shower/tub was not any better and room was still too dark. This one has a small sofa and a coffee table by outside door. There really wasn't much more room to move around except near the outside door. Both rooms have a microwave, tv and fridge. Breakfast was pretty good on second morning. We had to leave so early on the first night that we did not get any. Luckily there is coffee available 24/7 so we could make do for an early departure. An exit or two before Pellham Road is Woodruff Road. It has lots of restaurants if you need food while in the area. We picked up dinner at a Chick-fit-a. There is a Panera and lots of other places...
Hubby and I stayed one night here on our way home from a rafting trip. I had made a reservation earlier in the day at a very, very good rate. When I arrived I was greeted right away and offered several rooms I had a choice of. I chose a very well appointed king room on the ground floor. This hotel is newly remodeled and the grounds are kept well. The pool and surrounding area is very nice and inviting and it goes to eight feet deep which was a bit surprising to me for a motel pool. What I like most of all about this place are the memories it brought back to me of my childhood when I vacationed with my family and we stayed at motor lodges. Thank you Best Western!
Obviously an older hotel, but it's been recently remodeled. Rooms are nice and clean. Great outside pool area with a large pool that goes to 8ft. Doors to the rooms open to the outside, and a lot face the pool area. Lobby and breakfast area have also been remodeled. Standard hotel breakfast fare (waffles, eggs; sausage, etc), but good and filling. Only downsides to their location is it's difficult to get in and out of the hotel due to traffic. He exit is right next to the interstate on ramp, so there is always traffic. In addition, there seemed to be a lot of men just standing around near the back of the hotel for no reason. Stay by your room or pool and things are good.
Pleasant surprise. Appeared to be newly renovated. Clean, comfortable. Didn't have time, but outdoor pool looked inviting. Breakfast well presented with ample food even though we arrived 15 minutes before closing at 9AM.
This was a good hotel to stay in for one night after flying into the Greenville airport. They offer a shuttle from the hotel to airport and back, which I appreciated since I was meeting someone the next day and did not want to rent a car or take a taxi if I didn't have to. The room was basic and clean. The king bed was comfortable and I liked the laminate floors rather than carpeting. I didn't hear too much noise outside the room. The heat/AC worked fine, and it was one of those days where both were needed. It wasn't warm enough for the outdoor pool to be open. Light from the outside does leak in around the drapes, so it's pretty light inside the room at night. There was a good variety of breakfast items available. It was a small seating area, so it could get crowded. This was more of a motel style with exterior entrances to all the rooms. The corridors were well-lit. I did have to walk quite a ways to find the ice machine. I was on the second floor and there was no elevator, so lugging my bags around was a hassle.
Our regular hotel was booked out in this city so it was very hard to find any hotel available. Not our usual level of hotels but it was what was available. Great price considering the cost of others around there. Newly renovated the lobby and eating area were lovely as were the rooms. An older hotel with with exterior entrances but lovely room. There was no carpet but vinyl floors. All of the modern items were in the room and it was fairly clean (floor had some dirt but bathroom spotless). Noisy guest was our biggest complaint with the upstairs guest walking on the floors. Our sink leaked water under it on the floor (front desk offered to fix but we were on our way out of hotel). Breakfast was hot and variety like most places. So what would I say? If you are used to this level of hotel, go for it. I think you will be very happy with this one. It really was a good deal for the price. I would stay with them again but perhaps use one of the same brands but higher on the chain of services.
The staff at this property always assist me to find a room where I will feel safest as a female traveling alone. Additionally, I had a large suitcase and a member of the staff helped me get it to my room.
My wife and I visited family in Greer SC over the weekend and stayed at Best Western on Pelham Road outside Greenville SC. It was a great stay! The Best Western was clean and neat and our room was spotless (even for a doggie room!) Hats off to the house keeping staff for a job well done! When a facility tells you they are pet friendly one assumes that they will be tolerate of your pet. Well, this motel not only welcomes your pooch but has constructed a fenced pet area to exercise your dog. (this is first for me as I have stayed in several pet friendly motels but none with a special area for your pet!) I'm sold. We will stay here whenever we return to Greer or the Greenville SC area. The breakfast was well stocked also with two waffle irons and plenty of variety of breakfast foods. The value for the dollar here is really good. And for those of you who will be flying out of Greenville Spartenburg Airport this motel offers parking and a free shuttle to the airport. Check it out!!
I enjoyed the stay. The stuff that work here or very nice. The manager Willie Brown is out standing. As all the staff. The place is clean and the beds sleep outstanding. The place is quite and they out cleaning side walks and moping very min. You will enjoy the stay.
The room was clean, The staff was friendly. The breakfast was decent - with hot selections. Breakfast area was clean and well maintained. Check in and out process was relatively easy. The wireless connection is UNsecured!
If you ask for a non-smoking made sure you demand one and . The location was excellent and its about one mile from the highways and the foods places was far away where you have to drive a distance to get a good meals
I plan to stay at this hotel again and have recommended it to my friends. The front desk staff were all friendly and helpful, check in was efficient. My room was clean and comfortable. When I went in the breakfast area to get coffee in the morning, the front desk person insisted I'd better take a piece of fresh fruit, too! LOL I chose this hotel because I am traveling with 2 dogs, they gave me a room next to their fenced-in "dog park" - a nice little area where I could let my dogs off leash for a bit and they'd be safe. The dog area was clean, and more important as a woman traveling alone - the parking lot and dog area are VERY well-lit. I felt quite safe outside after dark. They do have a pet fee, but not as high as some hotels. The hotel is right next to I-85 but honestly the road noise did not bother me or keep me from sleeping. There are fast food places nearby.
Accommodations mediocre. Vinyl floors, outdated fixtures and tv. Terrible pillows. Everything felt outdated. Towels were scratchy. Toilet had to be jiggled to stop running sometimes. Computer wouldn't print my boarding passes.
The staff were so helpful & flexible. My wife was sick, so they offered to let us stay later without a charge. We ended up staying an extra day because of the illness, & hotel personnel were tops. Thanks.
The staff, room quality and breakfast were perfect - unparalleled! This hotel was conveniently located within 30 seconds of I-85; however, rooms were very quiet and offered a great night's rest. I certainly plan to stay in this fine hotel in the future.
Great Hotel, Great Breakfast, clean rooms, great location. Near a good mall plus lots of great places to eat. Maids did an awesome job on rooms. No complaints at all! Definitely would stay here again.
This was a good hotel in a location surrounded by many restaurants and grocery stores. It was nice that a room was available immediately. The bed and pillows were comfortable. I was glad to have breakfast on site the next morning because it was convenient. I look forward to my next visit.
If you have an early morning or late night flight (outside their normal shuttle hours), try Yellow Cab instead of using the "private airport shuttle" through the hotel - we were told it was available before booking, but then were told the driver couldn't make it. Mattresses are acceptable, pillows are trash. Reliable wi-fi, clean, nice front desk staff, close to airport and has free airport shuttle during the day and evening.
We stayed at Best Western Greenville Airport Inn, Greenville South Carolina on the last day of our trip, Nov 28th. Front desk clerk was friendly and efficient. She gave us a gift bag for participatipating with BW Rewards program. Hotel was recently remodeled and it was nicely done. Slept well. We got up early to catch flight at airport so did not take advantage of breakfast. The only negative was a tour bus starting up their engine at 4:45 am and waking me up. But had to get up anyway at 5:00 am so not really an issue.
I was very impressed with the quality of the hotel room and it was nicely priced. The value of the room was nicely priced and affordable. It is located in a convenient area and near a vast amount of restaurants. Definitely a must do for a family on a budget with high expectations!
Guest rooms do not have rugs, they only have bare floors, so beware if you are on the 1st floor because you will hear every single footstep of every person in the room above you, and if you happen to be in a room by the stairwell (119, for example), ask for another one because every time someone goes up and down those stairs you will hear it, especially when there are two groups of kids staying there who could care less about showing respect for the other guests, running around upstairs and up and down the stairs yelling. My daughter and I didn't get much sleep because of the excessive noise throughout the night. I tried to call the front desk to complain about the noise (and the fact that there was no TV remote in the room) but kept getting a busy signal. I was in my pajamas and would have had to put my coat and boots on over my pajamas to go to the front desk and complain since all the rooms are motel style and only have outdoor access; there are no indoor hallways. The room was clean but the pillows were tiny and too firm. Breakfast was nothing special and the line was very long due to the two groups of kids. I would not recommend this hotel at all.
First off they messed up our reservations even though I had a conformation. They did give us a small discount for another room. Before we went to our room, I wanted to get some decaf coffee, and the front desk clerk said the decaf was regular because the regular was not working. He gave me some extra decaf for the room which made two cups. The room wasn't anything special. Even with the lights on it was dreary. The noise was horrible. The refrigerator hummed constantly, the heater sounded like a jet engine, and the noise from the road was non-stop. I constantly had to adjust the TV volume because of the noise. I could even hear when another room ran water. There was a street light that shown in our window and it seemed like daylight even at 2 a.m. The bathroom light would not stay on very long. there was a lot of dirt around the door handles, especially the bathroom. The one positive note was the bed was very clean. The real kicker was the morning breakfast bar. There was NO coffee. The lady working the breakfast bar had to keep telling guests that there wouldn't be any coffee until maintenance got there, but never said when that would be. We would not recommend and would never go back.
We stayed here Nov 9-11 while visiting our eldest who is college locally. As we will be making this trip often now, I think we ha e found our hotel. Check in was quick and friendly, the room was clean and spacious, there was very little noise from the nearby airport as well as the interstate, breakfast had many good options, staff was friendly. We were a bit disappointed our room wasn't cleaned between nights but we found that our door hanger that requested cleaning was torn and lying on the floor outside our room so I don't think that is at all the fault of the hotel. I was able to request clean towels from the desk so we were good. The dog park is a nice touch and I can't wait until the warmer months when we can try out the beautiful pool area. HIGHLY recommend!
Beware!!!!! Credit card compromised by hotel! Staff EXTREMELY rude!!!! Hotel gave someone permission to stay extra days with no authorization on our credit card. Had to file dispute with credit card company to resolve. We will never use Best Western again!!!!
The staff is very rude at this establishment and make it seem like you are ruining their day by them having to help you. I understand if you are having a bad day I get that but you should never let your customers know that. You are never supposed to be rude to your customers because of that.
Best Western. For the price range is was a good choice. The room... Maintenance, very good. Housekeeping, very good. Front desk check-in, fast, friendly, accurate. I always check the room thoroughly for any issues, everything was very good. Have stay here several times while traveling, always good.
I had to stay three nights in Greenville over a 10 day period. I found this hotel on Hotels.com and thought the reviews were promising. The hotel is in a GREAT location for restaurants and to get to the airport, but parking was challenging the first night due to large vehicles taking multiple spots.
We pulled up, surprised to see it was motel-style (doors outside the building). The rooms have vinyl flooring instead of carpet, which would be fine if they were clean. Ours looked like it hadn't been cleaned. My children's feet were black on the bottom. We asked for a rollaway bed and it took an hour to get it. We were initially told it would take 20 minutes, which is unacceptable to begin with. We wouldn't stay here again.
*Truck parking is behind the Burger King, plenty of room for 4 trucks & is right next door to the hotel.Had a great nights sleep on very nice beds & very clean linens. Everything is clean here right down to the parking lot. Employees seem to go above & beyond & couldn't be kinder. Most definitely would stay here again.
We stayed one night at this hotel and it was very good. The room was clean and it was big. The bed was very comfortable. The decoration at this hotel is modern and new. The staff was friendly and serving. We had a good price for our room Overall, very good!
Home away from Home, Very Clean and Up to Date, Staff is Great, Grounds are Nice , Parking can be a issue with all of the construction workers staying there Overall good value Surveys are a Pain in the But
Had to stay here 3 nights in a room that was dirty and many of the amenities like the TV did not work well. Worst was the sofa bed that had a stain worthy of a CSI episode. We were placed in an area with questionable patrons, loud noises and in general the room was dirty and in need of many repairs. This is my first review of a hotel and we have had excellent stays at Best Wester in New York. We did not complain as this would just be more disruption to our routine etc.
Room was very clean and bed was super comfortable. Rooom was very quiet. Check in was great and fast. Everyone was friendly and nice. Breakfast was good and somone was constantly bringing out fresh hot food.
Stayed at this venue on our way home from a very quick 1800+ mile 4 day roadtrip. We only stayed one night but were able to sleep well, take a fantastic shower and be on our way. Staff was very friendly and the breakfast was good.(need some fresh fruit though) Housekeeping behind the bed could have been better but the rest of the room was clean.
The customer service was very good. Room was clean. Happy to see hardwood flooring instead of carpeting. Breakfast was good although the gravy and oatmeal wasn't hot enough, just slightly warm. Grits would have been a nice addition to the buffet.
This is a family hotel. Don't be put off by the outside. It looks old but it is very clean, and family friendly. The outside lighting provides the safe and security neded. It was very quiet at night. Its a come back experience.
When we made this reservation, it was only 3 days in advance and There were several home football games that weekend. We were surprised by the low rate of about $75. When we got there we were further surprised at what a nie facility it was.
The hotel was very clean and updated, bed was comfy, breakfast was good. I had no issues at all. The only thing I did not like was that it wasn't a typical hotel, all room doors were outside the hotel and you had to go outside the hotel to get to the front office, fitness room, etc. The hotel also had a lot of out of town workers staying so as a woman traveling alone I wasn't comfortable.
We stopped here late at night while traveling. Great service at front desk. It was busy but the clerk handled everyone quickly. Room was nice, cleam an comfortable. Breakfast was the usual hotel for which was fine.
Stopped at the Best Western to get some shuteye and we're sure glad we did. The rooms were clean and tidy. We also enjoyed a great breakfast! The fitness center wasn't the best but I was still able to get the heart pumping to start the day.
Room was ok could have been cleaner. Check in took a while booked using Hotels.com app paid on the app. When checking in was advised I would need to provide a card where a $100 hold could be placed per new hotel policy. Sign noted it would be taken off the card at checkout. This hotel does get a lot of construction workers so I assume issues in the past caused the need for the deposit. But the clerk did mention if we would have booked directly with best western it would not have been needed.
Would be best if they leveled the building and started from scratch. Not an attractive or comfortable place to stay. Rooms are dull and dank. Noisy. Decor from the 1960's. Room had empty shampoo and soap dispensers. Lack of attention to detail.
Not spectacular, not disappointing. Absolutely average: price, quality, access, cleanliness, comfort. Service: very personable and professional, even during evening check-in rush. Would recommend based on service alone.
When fleeing from Hurricane Irma, I contacted this hotel several times. I talked with 4-5 different people it seems. Everyone of them were so helpful and accommodating. I felt bad calling so often but that storm was constantly changing. I booked early to ensure a room. Several of my friends and family also booked. The story was the same. Their staff was amazing. Eventually, the hurricane changed course and is missing us. I canceled my room so others needing lodging could have it. That process, too, was handled with ease. I will definitely use this hotel again and I highly recommend it. These staff members I know were swamped with people calling during this storm and yet they were all polite and kind with each of my many calls. They should be commended by their employer!!
We aee just moving into the area and people at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was located in decent area. Right next to a waffle house which my fiance loves. Getting in and out of the hotel parking lot is a little difficult. The price was reasonable.
This Best Western was terrific -- all facilities top notch...breakfast, pool, and the room...from the time we checked in with professional staff members until the departure, everything was perfect...breakfast had everything you would want ....the room was super clean and up to date...
I recently came to this hotel because I was attending a dinner party in the area. I booked my room online on the same day that I stayed. When I arrived, Kim immediately greeted me and checked me in. She was very knowledgable and the information easily flowed from her lips. I got to my room and the temperature was pleasant. I chose a room with double beds so I could have a fridge and microwave. From the website, it seemed like rooms with a king bed didn't have the fridge/microwave. You may want to call and ask. Nothing was broken or seemed to be in bad condition. The air worked perfectly which added to my excellent rest. I only stayed overnight, but my experience made me a happy camper.
The room was dirty and had cobwebs in the corners, and mold or mildew in the bathroom. Also after walking on the floor my feet were dirty. The water in the shower kept changing temperature, from hot to freezing cold, and no amount of adjusting made it better. The other guests were extremely loud and noisy, smoking outside, so much that the smoke entered our non-smoking room. Also other guests would stay outside until 2-3 am, which made it difficult to sleep and stay asleep.
This hotel was very clean and offered an outdoor pet area, though it was very small. The room was a great value and the amenities were a plus. I don't feel that we would have paid full price to stay here. Without the discount we received for this stay the regular price is a bit high for the quality of the hotel.
Low-life looking guests in adjacent room came out several times during the night and sat on the sidewalk between our two rooms to smoke. The air conditioner in the wall sucked the smoke right into our room. I paid for a smoke-free room for nothing. I know you can't prevent guests from smoking outside, but you could post a sign about the air conditioners being right there in the wall and ask smokers to be courteous and cross to other side of parking lot.
This motel is in a convenient location. The outside corridors seemed to attract guests that were just hanging out outside. The room itself was nice...hardwood floors added a nice touch. It was very hot outside and the AC unit performed well and was quiet.
Staff not daunted by the surge of visitors migrating to a viewing site for the 2017 Solar Eclipse. Handled all needs with friendly service and gave guidance on local roads and traffic patterns. Best place to view was around the pool in the courtyard.
Best Western is very consistent in appearance and quality for a reasonable cost. I prefer BW when traveling. Room was comfortable and breakfast was good. This BW was convenient to the highway but I did not notice any traffic noise.
Very beautiful hotel near Interstate 85. The room is large and well equipped. Nice swimming pool and breakfast are excellent. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Will stay there again. Quiet if you choose a room not close to the swimming pool.
We were visiting our grand daughter and family. The location right off I-85 was easy to find. Willie at the front desk shared some coupons for a couple of local restaurants when I mentioned that we would probably be eating there. Nice. We were in an ADA room w/king bed. The laminate floors are great for wheelchair use and the love seat which could have been folded out for sleeping, was good for just sitting and relaxing. Much better than regular chairs, giving hubby a change from his wheelchair or having to sit on the bed. The bed was comfortable and the whole room was clean. Breakfast was the expected waffles, sausage, eggs, biscuits & gravy, etc. It was kept replenished throughout the breakfast time. All in all, yes, we would stay there again and recommend it.
Hotel is showing some age in appearance, hallway and in room. The location was close to the interstate entrance, was some- distance from any type of a restaurant. The hotel did not have many guest at this location. Would not stay there again.
I stayed just one night due to very early morning plane departure. The room has been renovated/rehabbed. The beds were comfortable; the room was clean and quiet. I was directly across from the swimming pool and still felt private and quiet. There is a nice TV; table and chairs; microwave and coffee maker. The flooring is laminated which is great for those of us who suffer from dust allergies!
Staff is professional and very friendly. Love the proximity to the airport and the ability to leave a vehicle at no expense for several days when booking a room. Rooms are clean. Several restaurants within walking distance.
It is not the newest Hotel anymore but price and offer is very good. I can just recommend it :) Good Breakfast Quite a big pool. Also very good for children and pets. Very close to the highway which I like very much.
Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Room was comfortable. Exercise room was accessible and well equipped. Pool was enjoyable. Breakfast was very good and offered a nice selection to choose from. Check in and check out were quick and efficient.
The room was clean and comfortable. The TV was lacking in its picture quality. AC ran loudly and toilet constantly ran. Grounds were clean and quiet. We were in town for the dog show. Dog yard was a bit of a walk from our room and the sprinklers seem to come on mid morning. Front desk personnel weren't of the friendliest demeanor.
Great Beds and Pillows: Very Clean and modern: I love the fact that it is like hardwood floors- much cleaner: Great Staff: Great location: close to major restaurants and stores: Fairly priced: I bring my own soap and shampoo, it is furnished but----- It is modern like coming out of an Ikea store. I love this hotel and stay here regularly. I wish I could find more like it on the road.
I've been here for a job and it's a real good place. Staff are friendly and those girls really clean the room. Better than most hotels we've stayed at. I would recommend them. I liked the breakfast. They had eggs and sausage
This hotel is a lovely surprise. It is very cleaned and well maintained, with friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was a nice surprise too. We will stay there from now on when we are in that area.
I have stayed at this property many times, and I have always been satisfied. The staff makes one feel at home, and they are always improving the hotel. The park and fly program is the best I've encountered, and even though you can stay at a reasonable cost, nothing is diminished.
Booked this hotel for the weekend to watch my granddaughters play in a softball tournament. We enjoyed the location of the hotel along with the stay. The pool was nice to cool off and splash around in. Bed was comfy. Coffee maker was clean. Could have used a couple more towels but our choice to not ask. Would stay again.
This makes 4 or 5 trips for me to this Best Western while on business in Greenville SC. I am most impressed with the happy staff who greet me each time I arrive. You always feel like family here. This trip there were some naughty boys- I learned it was a couple of basketball teams but as soon as I called them at the desk, they took care of it right away. Really- any little problem I've ever had they send someone right away. Just great service. Good job Best Western! I give you an A++
Great value for an airport hotel. Clean rooms well maintained with friendly staff. Good breakfast in a large room, nice and comfortable. Ample and convenient parking. About 10 min to airport and rental car pickup and return.
When I made reservations I was under the impression that this was a recently remodeled hotel. Upon arrival I found out it was a motel. Because I already made reservations we decided to stay. For the most part the rooms were ok. Except the bed my husband and I slept on was broken, the toilet looked like it had poop on the seat, the a.c. wasn't working so great AND my teenage son was approached by a man asking about marjuanna. One positive note: the breakfast was good.
Excellent location, friendly staff, and vet clean rooms. This hotel is a great value compared to others I looked into in the Greenville area. I highly recommend to anyone traveling to this area. I'll be coming back!
I was on a rather long road trip and travelling as a pregnant mother with her 2 year old child. The hotel staff was very friendly and helped me with some of my heavier items. I felt very safe at this hotel and was very pleased with the continental breakfast they offered. Everyone in the lobby was very friendly and it was very clean. The only issue with the whole stay was the size of the pillows. We had a kind size bed, so I expected regular sized pillows. They were quite small. Besides that I was very pleased with the room.
Pleased overall with motel. Recommend reservations on line or motel direct. Phone in reservations are thru some travel outfit and room costs more plus they don't pass thru special requests such as "ground floor only" .
Not much to look at on outside but very pleased inside. Staff friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast. Easy on and off highway. Room very clean and comfortable beds. If you have a very large vehicle ...it could get tricky to find parking. Pool nice and clean and very nice fitness center.
Not expensive. Great location and staff was helpful and engaging. Pool was big hit. Room clean and plenty of space. Breakfast good and great selection. Will use again for out of town guests. Maybe some transient guests but never felt threatened.
The hotel is nice and the location is great. Close to a lot of restaurants and shopping strips and also close to the highway. The hotel staff was nice and friendly and very courtesy. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family.
The hotel meets the expectations of the customer. It is neatly maintained and the staff are so polite and very helpful. The management steps in whenever is needed. I have been staying in this hotel since 2014 Jan and I never had any issue or problem with any of the amenities. I do remember the Hotel owner staying with customers during the storm where there was a power outrage throughout the town. Over all my experience was good with the hotel stay.
It was OK but not what we were expecting especially for the price we paid in comparison to an actual Hotel. Cleanliness was OK. Suggestion: The AC works better if you move the table away from the front of the unit.
Highly recommend. Very relaxing Stay! The pool was excellent and vary clean. Resturants very close. Walking Distance!!! Great location for shopping as well. Walgreens close by. Parking lot clean and well lit.
Nice, clean hotel.Would stay at this hotel again when in the area. Staff was friendly. The breakfast buffet was good. The pool area and grounds around the hotel was well cleaned and kept. Rooms have been updated recently. Over all, a good , smaller hotel for the price.
Went to visit friends for a few days. Stayed here because of the convenience to the airport and freeway. Rooms were very clean and place was kept up. Night time is a different story. Shady people come out at night around there so be careful.
We were here last July when I reviewed and mentioned Willie at the front desk. I was so excited to find him there again this trip. He's still top-notch with customer service. Our room was perfect. The updates to the property continue to impress. They have added eggs and sausage links to breakfast. Rooms still extra clean and used the laundry facilities again - still in great working order. The night desk rep was extremely nice and professional too, although I did not get her name. She stopped eating her supper and came over to check me in so I would not have to wait - very much appreciated. Pool was being used by many and was clean and clear. Plenty of ice in the ice machine, even with the property full. We'll be back in July!
My experience was fantastic and much better than I had expected. I was very pleased with the cleanliness of the rooms. I felt safe, and it was quiet making for a relaxing stay. Breakfast was fresh, hot, and delicious! This was a great experience overall and surpassed all of my expectations.
Hotel was in good location, nearby shopping and plenty of restaurants. Staff was very nice. Breakfast was okay, could be better. Room was clean. Older hotel with updated rooms. Would stay there again while traveling to that area.
My family and I stopped at this hotel for a few nights. We had 5 adults, one handicapped, and a newborn infant. They were very accommodating and friendly. The prices were great! Our rooms joined and we couldn't hear each other once the doors were shut. The receptionist had wonderful personality and ensured we had everything we needed. Court yard was nice and pool amazing. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends!
Fairly good choice just minutes drive away from airport. Overall clean, presentable, comfortable beds and room. Very nice swimming pool. Good value if you want to be near the airport. Free wifi. Very convenient to interstate.
This property was reasonably priced and definitely first rate. The courtyard and pool area were a pleasant surprise for a basic 2-storey motel - well-maintained and a nice area to relax. Get a courtyard room if you can. This property does not have an elevator but does offer ADA rooms on the first floor.
lower cost than hilton's and marriott but not as nice AAA was same rate AARP. overall not a bad stay i don't like being forced to lengthen the text seriously agitated now with it wow, i just want to finish and move on
Spent June 2nd & 3rd at the Best Western Greenville Airport Inn and it was a very nice stay. The check in was very quick and the staff were very courteous. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel is very convenient to reach after exiting #54 off Interstate 85. We will be back there again for the 4th of July weekend.
Needing a place to stay in Greenville for a lacrosse tournament, I booked this with a low rate on triple A.. For what I paid, I was not expecting much.. And my expectations were more than exceeded! The room was clean (re-done wood-like floors) added to that.. Had plenty of towels and well working AC, microwave and refridg/freezer. Also the pool is good sized (plenty of room for about 25 kids). My son liked the breakfast which was included.. All in all a good stay at a great price! Not to mention, Willie did a great job checking us in!
Room was average but the cleanliness was terrible. Greasy hand prints all over the head board of the bed as well as dust on top of it that appears it hasn't been wiped down in quite some time. Cleaned it all myself. 3 large finger/toenail clippings on sink vanity behind the water faucet. Absolutely visible to anyone who washed their hands, not sure how house keeping missed them. Definitely suggest better house keeping as well as better upkeep of so the called "dog park"! Other than that, it was an average room.
Hotel is average for the price. Not a fan of the rooms being outside, you can hear everything and everyone talking and walking. Hotel is by an interstate and a busy road, which you hear all day and night. Pool was okay, the area around the pool is painted slick and a real slip hazard. Breakfast is very basic. A/C in the room was extremely loud when kicking on, it woke me several times in the night. Rooms were decent, the laminate flooring was very loud as you can hear your neighbors, it also didn't seem clean. I wiped up some spilt water and the napkin was black. I noticed the house keepers cleaning and only saw them sweeping out the rooms, I did not observe them mopping. The room served it's purpose and is adequate for a one night stay. I wouldn't recommend it if you wanted a quiet, restful weekend getaway.
This hotel was fine for sleep accommodations while I attended an event. I really don't like hotels without an inner corridor due to safety concerns but this is what the group chose. Other than that, the hotel was really nice.
We reserved a block of rooms for our wedding guests in November 2016. Our guests were very pleased with the service they received at this convenient location. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms, lobby, and breakfast area were all very clean and well kept.
Newly updated, clean, quiet, good breakfast, great staff. Spent 2 nights here and was totally satisfied with my stay. All the staff were friendly, helpful and professional. I would definitely stay here again.
Love this motel nice and friendly people and clean breakfast was great pool clean grounds clean dog park grills tables beds comfortable good room service a lot of construction workers at the time yet still clean and peaceful
The worst thing about this hotel was the noisy air conditioner. It wasn't a problem with the unit being broken, these kinds of a/c units are just noisy and the only solution is to replacement. Until the hotel does that, I don't recommend staying here if you want to get a good night's sleep. Also, the room wasn't particularly clean and the sink was stopped up.
We called at 1pm to ask for a room with two beds (and were told no problem). Upon our midnight arrival, we were very rudely told by Kim that there was only one room left with one bed. Not only did she not give any sort of apology, she had a crappy attitude, talked over us, didn't listen and said, well you can always cancel your reservation. At midnight!! So, needless to say, horrible night's sleep plus planes started flying overhead at 6am and lots of traffic noise. If you can avoid staying here, do so!
run away...do not stay here...go someplace else. Traffic around the place is very bad and the other residents are scary. There are too many other places to stay in Greenville. I made a mistake by not looking at the bad reviews before I booked. Wont make that mistake again.
I wouldn't say it was a bad experience, but it wasn't an amazing one. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was goo. Room was okay, though. You could tell they have updated a bit. Beds were comfy and clean, but wood floors made my feet dirty so I definitely had to make sure to wear socks. Hot water in the shower was on and off and the toilet kept making sounds. I'm not much of a complainer so I felt and it was fine. It's a reasonable price and a reasonable stay.
I requested a non-smoking room, but the smell of cigarettes was terrible. They sprayed some Febreeze after I told them, but it really didn't help. Even the door open for a while didn't help. They had no other available rooms. There were also cockroaches in the room. Cockroaches may be unavoidable, but I was also disappointed with the lack of caring to make my stay more pleasant, although the staff were very nice.
This is a great budget-friendly, conveniently-located Greenville hotel! We flew into GSP at midnight and loved how close this hotel was to the airport. The rooms open up to the outside, which surprised us, but didn't end up being a problem -- the walls were thick and we slept soundly throughout the night. The rooms were clean, but instead of typical hotel toiletries, they offered pump-dispensers for soap, lotion, and a shampoo-conditioner combo. The hotel also offered a free airport shuttle, which is awesome and we would've used if we didn't have family in the area! The breakfast was a nice continental spread, and our room was adequately stacked with caffeinated and decaf coffee, but not hot tea. We were in Greenville for a wedding so this was one of the only options on Clemson's graduation weekend, but I would stay here again if the price was right!
Be sure the room is actually stocked with soap, coffee and shampoo, I had to go back to the check in desk and get what I needed. Same thing the next morning after the room was cleaned. I would not stay here again.
We reserved 5 rooms for a family function and had a wonderful time here. Willie accommodated our requests to be close to one another. Breakfast offered an assortment of options and was perfect. Close proximity to where we had to travel and be. I rated value very good because prices during these dates were high everywhere but BW was the lowest available.
This was the best option for me. It is very clean and conveniently located. It seemed to be a "working man' motel which is fine but it seemed to be somewhat noisy at night. Definitely not a romantic getaway but a good place to stay at a good rate.
Nice and clean hotel updated nicely, staff was timely and courteous. Stayed 14 days and no complaints with the business, maids come around daily even if there is a do not disturb sign which I did work days till early morning but they were doing their job which I won't complain about because they were nice about it.
I was booked at another hotel nearby, but had to book this Best Western at the last minute. It was clean, and I was provided outstanding customer service. The rooms are clean and spacious. The beds are comfy.
I've been using this hotel for a few months maybe once a month for business. I never noticed the hot breakfast before so that must be new. The rooms have also been improved. They're doing a good job and the business rate was real good too.
Was a little skeptical of quality, given the price, but it was a great stay. Comfortable beds with white bedspread and linens. Clean room with engineered floor that helps with cleanliness. Great breakfast with many choices and great coffee. Great shower with thick towels.
Good value for the money , Beds really comfortable . Good breakfast . Friendly staff and location is close to alot of things to do . easy on and off the highway. local to shopping and food. pool in season
Was there to attend a family wedding. Hotel has had some nice upgrades. And it is nice. The issue I had weren't the fault of mangement. Room are nice but need at least a rug on the floor. The floor was cheap lanoliunm. The toliet in bathroom felt like it was sitting on the floor. Breakfast was all processed food. Not good at all. But for those who like it it is okay. I just prefer real eggs & sausage. The stuff they had was all processed and tasted imitation. Alot alot alot of traffic and noise around this hotel. Ppl talking very loud outside room door. Walked out and a man in wheelchair was just sitting in front of our room on the phone. Why he wasn't in front of his room idk. Also, we were there 2nites and after the first nite there, housekeepers came to door with their cart. The music she was playing on her cart was very inappropriate. It was gansta rap. Alot of cursing and use of the N word, she and the other housekeeper with her understood limited English. Which I thought was strange because they seem to understand rap music. But all in all the rooms were decent and clean. Bed was comfortable. I did like that they have the soap, lotion and shampoo mounted on the wall of shower and vanity area. Staff at front desk was very nice. If given the opportunity I don't know if I would stay here again. Mainly for noises/traffic around the premises.
On a recent trip with family, we passed through Greenville and decided to stay at Best Western Greenville Airport Inn right off the interstate. Overall, the hotel met our needs for our brief stay. The rooms were clean, there was adequate space in the room, and the breakfast buffet was standard yet satisfying. My disappointment came when we checked out of the hotel and set out for the remainder of our trip. Later that night, my daughter realized that she left her Jordan shoes in the room near the safe. My hope was that the Housekeeper found them and kindly turned them in to Lost & Found. By this time, we had arrived in Georgia. Before panicking and calling the hotel, I instead checked our rental vehicle early the next morning. No Jordan's. I called Best Western and spoke with Willie. Willie said that he would check and give me a call back. Several hours passed and I received no phone call. I called back and Willie took even more of my information down: room number, date of departure, and the description of shoes. Again, he assured me that he would check with the housekeeper. I still received no call. The next morning, I called the front desk to speak with the manager, in which I was transferred to Pamela. Right away Pamela informed me that Erica, the Assistant Manager handles Lost & Found inquiries. Pamela provided Erica's cell phone number and insisted that I give her a call. I left Erica a voicemail and she called back momentarily. I explained our dilemma, and once again provided the same information to Erica that I previously provided to Willie. I immediately fell under the impression that my lost item was not discussed in a shift report, or morning huddle. Each person was oblivious. Erica said that she would check with the housekeeper and get back to me and she did. As expected, the housekeeper supposedly did not find any shoes. Erica made it a point to tell me that this particular housekeeper had been with them for 8 or 9 years. I understand that and it isn't my intention to call anyone a thief, but the shoes are no longer near the safe in the room. Where did they walk off to??? I asked Erica if I could send her pictures of the shoes and she agreed and asked me to text them to her phone. I offered a reward for their discovery and informed Erica that I would happily pay shipping costs. To date, I have received no text reply or update on the matter. I used to work at a 4-Diamond hotel. I know what good procedures are… While I was greatly disappointed in my 13-year old for forgetting to put them back in her suitcase, I was equally disappointed in Best Western. I did not feel valued at all. This experience tainted my views of Best Western. In working in hospitality in the past, we had a “Make it Right” philosophy. Every incident would be recorded in a book and shared in huddles each day. Everyone was aware. Taking action steps to collectively make it right was second nature. Best Western did nothing to make it right! I was met with “she's been with us for such and such years” and that was it. I would have been able to take this as a loss much better if I felt that their best effort was put forth to make it right. Just a few ideas: launch an investigation, interview staff, monitor break rooms…then go back and share with the customer the efforts you put forth to show them that you've done everything you could. Customers respect and honor things like that! Someone is really happy to have a nice pair of Jordan's and is walking around with them on right now. This could have been handled MUCH better. Very disappointed in Best Western.
Exceptional place to stay. Great staff, services, and amenities for the cost. Room was very clean, bathroom was sparkling, and I felt very rested. I couldn't ask more than that for an overnight stay. The breakfast area is good as well!
My husband & I needed to stay one night last minute in Greenville, SC while vacationing. My in-laws typically stay at BW when they travel various places. So we chose BW. Very nice stay. Clean room, handy mini fridge, good rates, very nice people, and nice breakfast. Would stay again.
We stayed in rm 126. It was great. It looked as if it had been recently updated. Laminate flooring instead of carpet, and that was great! Beds were comfy. Room was very clean. Good breakfast spread . Not just the usual continental. Would definitely stay again.
Room and service was great checking in and checking out. Breakfast was a little to de desired. At 7 am there was no fruit both days I stayed, no bisquits first day with the gravy they had. The usual pastries, a pot of oatmeal that you fix up with toppings. No meat or eggs 2nd day except boiled. My room faced the pool so it was nice and quiet, no issues. They did spray the room with something scented that didn't agree with me, as I have asthma. Overall pretty good not counting the breakfast.
Cold hear everything, esp when people are parting, Here is a key. Dont stick someone that is traveling by themselves next to a room full of people. Esp if there is a door separating them and upstairs neighbors that have 2 kids running all over the place you ca hear everything. Put them near someone that is quiet where they can RELAX!
The amount of talking, yelling, arguing going on outside my room all night long would lead me to believe this hotel is encouraging a bad element of characters to roam around. Also the bed was not comfortable - it was lumpy.
Every employee that I encountered at Best Western Airport Inn in Greenville, SChelped to make my business in Greenville a complete success. They were very friendly, helpful, and professional. Way to go Best Western!!!
Convenient to airport with free airport shuttle from 5am-midnight. Parking is also available while you are on your trip so stay here and avoid parking fees at the airport. Not a lot of extras but breakfast was nice.
We were looking for a nice, affordable stay as we traveled north. Hotels seemed so expensive in this area for a quick stay. This Best Western was a good economy hotel choice. The building is older but seems to be well maintained. Our room was comfortable and clean. It was quiet considering the rooms are open to the outdoors.
Nicely maintained Best Western, with an attractive pool, personable staff, and a good full breakfast. Only complaint is a slow-draining sick, which the desk clerk noted for attention. If the price is right, grab it.
We stayed here two nights while leaving and returning on a trip. The hotel is comfortable and clean. We only ate breakfast the second stay due to an early departure. Breakfast offered many choices and the room was clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again since they have updated the place in recent years.
We stayed at this hotel for 5 days. The breakfast is pretty standard for hotels. The water pressure in the shower was middling but usable. The staff was friendly and professional. The one problem that we had was as we were packing up we noticed that the sheets that my kids slept on had a menstrual blood stain. Not very big, and the sheets had been washed, but still, kinda gross.
Staff was very friendly and efficient. Breakfast was fresh and good selection. Rooms were clean and well stocked, pillows were great! The only complaint was a small note posted in the lobby that they charged $2.00 per night for an in room safe. You could request a refund if you did not use it upon checkout. The safe was as old as the hotel and was paid for many times over. I think it is just a very poor way to raise the room rate for something that should be included.
If your looking for a hotel to stay with excellent staff and a wonderful experiences try this hotel. I really enjoy my stay. I will recommend to all my friends if they are traveling and need a place to stay.
We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. The bed was comfortable, the shower had good pressure and temperature, and the breakfast was great. Everyone was friendly and helpful we would definitely stay there again!
This hotel was average at best! We were catching a flight out of GSP and needed a place to crash as our flight was leaving at 5:30am and we live 1.5 hours away. It was clean and the lady at the check in desk was very personable.
It looks like they're working on upgrading things. No construction noise but people painting and paving the parking lot. Beautiful courtyard, big pool, and great staff. The gym is small but has all the basics. The wifi really is free and great signal. It was clean but you could tell it was an older building being upgraded. For the price it was pretty good. I'd stay there again later on to see the upgrades.
I stay at Hotels often enough for work to know a well trained and hospitable staff when I come across one. it is not often I take the time to praise a hotel for doing their jobs. but this hotel staff went above and beyond at every opportunity.
The redeeming quality of this hotel was its staff; friendly and attentive. The check-in process was seamless and the room was comfortably sized. The breakfast was better than many offerings at other hotels we'd stayed at. Were liked that they'd replaced the wall to wall carpeting with what appeared to be composite flooring; until that night. There was an area rug between the beds that wasn't secured to the flooring and readily became a trip hazard in the dark. It shifted, bunched up and the edges would flip up. I opened the folding luggage stand and a large false eyelash fell out of it; which was actually kind of humorous, because we first thought it was an insect. For all the effort put into upgrading the rooms, the bathroom was a major disappointment. The toilet was slow to flush and would sometimes fail to fully drain on the first flush. The shower had very low water pressure, and loss of hot water was prevalent. Our experience was exasperated by someone calling himself Lucas telephoning our room twice in the early morning to discuss the party we'd had the night before. There was no party and although I told him he'd called the wrong room, he persisted until I hung up on him. I called the front desk to report the calls and to ask if there was any way to identify if the calls were coming from inside the hotel. The woman said there wasn't, so I thanked her and went to take my cold water shower. I came out of the shower and learned we'd received another call which my wife answered. This time the caller asked "Is this Joe?"; to which my wife replied "Do I sound like Joe?" Not to be deterred, the caller said he needed to pick up the guitar he'd left the night before. My wife told him if he showed up at our room he was in for a bad day, and then hung up. I called the front desk and a male employee answered. I started to explain the situation and he said the call had come through the front desk, and that he wouldn't forward anymore of the calls. On the whole, I believe the next time we are in Greenville we will opt for a different hotel.
Even though it's off a busy street and kind of tricky to get into coming off the highway, this BW is clean and a convenient 10 minute ride to downtown. Didnt have the chance to try out the breakfast, but it looked like a decent spread. Room was clean and quiet
This was a very nice hotel. I was checked in by a desk clerk that said due to me paying with a hotel coupon that I would have to pay 5$ extra dollars to get a downstairs room, but checked my business associate in with the same coupon and was given a downstairs room at no extra charge. We were told that the motel was having part of the parking lot paved the next morning and our cars would be towed to a different area of parking lot if we were to park there. At 8am on Wednesday my room phone rang woke me up, front desk asking me to give them all my information for check in over again. Seems as though there system had kicked out the info. Why would you disturb someone with your system failure when you know they will come down to checkout or call the front desk to check out. Never again will I or my company use this hotel.
We were not expecting to stay at any hotel this trip but unforeseen circumstances happened. We were quite pleased with the hardwood floors and the overall cleanliness of the establishment. We had our dog with us this time and had a room at the back of the hotel near the dog park. We had a hot continental breakfast and what I noticed in reading the reviews was you are truly taking some of the suggestions and incorporating them in your business.Such as meat on the breakfast bar and I believe I saw toppings for the oatmeal. In speaking to some of your employees it is evident they take pride in their work and the hotel as a whole .You are very fortunate to have found such wonderful people. When we are in the area again we will not hesitate to come and stay again .
I wasn't thrilled to find there was no comforter on the bed but when I called and asked for additional blankets - they came right away. That's not usually the case. Breakfast was good. Was surprised to find hot breakfast in a Best Western. Staff were most accommodating. I will go back.
There was a mix-up with the reservation. The room smelled like a public bathroom. There was blood on one of the pillow cases. The fridge made a clicking noise all night long. The tv volume kept going in and out. The bathroom was dirty and the bathroom tile was damaged.
Yep, I liked it. The rooms have new furniture. The breakfast was excellent. I had waffles, eggs and sausage. Eggs scrambled fresh. I got a call back to ask if my room was OK at check in and that was nice too. Thanks Best Western. I'll see you next time. A+
The hotel is very clean. All of the staff that I came in contact with were very friendly and helpful. This was my 1st time staying at this hotel, but I will definitely stay again. Location is very convenient to interstate.
Clean room . The hotel staff was very nice and helpful. The breakfast was very good. The weekend staff in the breakfast area was nice. There was a new employee she was very nice and helpful the woman that was training her was rude,to her and to people getting there breakfast. I am sure she did not like her job. The pool was nice . To bad it closed so early.
The Best Western is a nice hotel for a short stay when traveling with a pet. The rooms have been renovated and are well equipped with microwaves and refrigerators. The beds are comfortable and the area is quiet and safe. The free breakfast is nothing exceptional and the coffee is mild but it is adequate.
I didn't have high expectation for the Best Western but I didn't expect mold in the room either. Good location off the interstate but it seems the other side of the exit has all the fun. The only thing close the this hotel was a waffle house, and for a reason: their breakfast.
Was in Greenville overnight this week and stayed at Best Western near the airport. The hotel is older exterior type so I was nervous going in. When I got to the front desk I found it totally remodeled and nice. Staff were nice. Got to the room and I was really surprised. Looked like a Hampton room- really. Don't let the old outside look fool you. This was a good hotel.
I have stayed here several times. It is up to date, very clean and reasonably priced. They have a nice pool and courtyard and a fitness room. The staff has always been professional and very friendly. If you have the opportunity give it a try.
I got a cheap trip for business reasons. This is a design with doors open to the outside. However, it's so popular with bargain hunters that the high occupancy made it a safer environment. The room, which was very large renovated, and clean, was very quiet, not like most modern hotels. I would consider this hotel if it was only for one night but not an extended stay.
hotel has large parking area and lots of rooms and I hope the other rooms are in better shape than the one I had. Drywall damage in bathroom and hair in shower makes for poor cleaning and lacking maintenance. bed was comfortable but the pillows were not. If you just need a place to sleep and dont mind the hair this place is fine. Did not eat breakfast here and the internet was spotty. Not much choice for food close by but waffle house in same lot. Good luck
Usually, it's hard to go wrong with a Best Western, but this one was a nice surprise. The hotel staff was very friendly, and there was a manager's reception in the dining area that consisted of chips/salsa, cheese/crackers, and a selection of beer for free. The hotel has an upscale homey feel, nothing out of this world contemporary or fancy. The rooms expand on this feel, with furnishings I would expect to find in my favorite relative's guest room. The rooms have ceiling fans and overhead lighting, a pleasant minor detail that you don't find in a lot of rooms. The beds are comfortable with plenty of pillows, and the HVAC is more than adequate. For a hotel right off of the interstate, noise was non-existent. The bathrooms are brightly lit and clean. If you're looking to stay in Greenville, you won't go wrong here.
The hotel staff were extremely professional, caring, and made sure that my stay was as comfortable as possible. I had absolutely no issues and would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a fairly priced, comfortable hotel in the Greenville area.
Usually in a hotel breakfast if you see something running out you are just out of luck but these ladies were right on top of it. I wanted an apple and an apple did appear. It was honestly a real nice breakfast with sausage eggs and biscuits and gravy. So many choices. I've paid for breakfasts less appealing than this one for sure. It's worth it. Give it a try.
It was a pleasant stay. The people there are nice as can be. Very southern charming. Breakfast lady helped me with my waffle. I had a light bulb out- they came right away to resolve it. I would stray here again for sure. Rate was ok, Room was nicely furnished and the flooring was very modern looking and clean.
Exterior property ok. It's going to have outside aging. The upkeep on this property and shine above and beyond other hotels in this area. I have spent the at the Marriott next door and thought to myself wow you can tell they are all about the money and not customer service. Where as in at the Best Western the clerk took the time to tell me important information about the area even offering a map and Greenville guide at the desk without having to ask. What other hotel in Greenville offers that? None! Why? Don't believe me? Book 1 Stay at Best Western Greenville Airport Inn and see for yourself. Have a voice let it be heard. Management is standing at the desk every morning greeting everyone with pleasant smile along with morning staff. There's never a problem she's not willing to address. Free full breakfast and staff willing to assist in any way they can. Can you pay 200.00 and get that at the Marriott? NO!
We were in Greenville for an event and decided to stay the night instead of driving home. We were very pleased with the helpfulness of the staff at such a late hour, the clean, comfy room and bed. We would stay there again.
Clean room, polite staff, good breakfast. Good accessibility to the surrounding area. The grounds and parking areas were a little dirty and not kept up regularly. Pet area was a nice feature but it needed to be mowed, as it would help clean up after pets.
Some reviews made me wonder but this was a great choice. Those desk clerks were great. The eggs and sausages and dozens of other things at breakfast will certainly bring me back. The rooms look brand new. Really.
I was lucky to get a great deal using priceline. I would NEVER pay full rack rate at this property. It's really not a good value. The staff is friendly, however housekeeping leaves much to be desired. When I checked in, there was dirty underwear and socks from a previous guest beside the bed. The rooms appear to be nicely remodeled, they just aren't clean. During the remodel, the property should have focused more on the exterior of the building. It is an eye sore and needs much improvement! Unless I get another bid accepted on priceline, I will not be back. Do yourself a favor and skip this one!
As others have said, the outside is a bit deceiving. Lobby and staff were very nice. Breakfast was okay; there is variety and hot choices but nothing great. The room was nicely remodeled and updated. It was clean, and worth the value. Very convenient lots of restaurants in the area and close to the airport.
When we drove in I was feeling like it might be sketchy but once you walk in this place- it is nothing short of fantastic! Everything new top to bottom. Staff nice and hot breakfast excellent. The hotel rooms open to the outside but really- don't let that stop you. Its a great location.
The staff was wonderful. They shuttled me to a very early flight; my car was safe during my trip; and worked with me when my return flight was delayed. The newly renovated room was clean and comfortable. I would recommend this hotel for anyone flying into or out of the Greenville/Spartanburg Airport.
This hotel is outdated and dirty. The beds are horrible and the room was hot. We only stayed because it was 4 am and we couldn't drive any further and we have beat western points. Major disappointment. However the front desk lady was amazing and helped me find a parking area near the road due to a full lot.
Loved it... Great breakfast, awesome place.. Comfortable beds.. nice and friendly front desk and also the breakfast attendant..... I can't wait yo come back again... Nice hotel, stay here if every in green ville
dated looking building, but excellent staff and very clean room. Van service to airport only once an hour, but pickup on return was very quick. All employees we contacted were very polite and helpful.
The rooms have laminate flooring - no carpet, which gives a much cleaner feel to the rooms. Refillable shampoo and body wash pumps attached to wall make sense. Hot breakfast included with scrambled eggs, breakfast sausage etc. Tea, coffee, juice, cereal, milk - the usual fare. Outdoor pool was nice. If planning to use the pool, room facing pool on first floor works well.
We had our "other" family member, a Pug, and were camping during a heat wave (105*). He was NOT a happy camper. We were delighted to find an affordable hotel near Greenville that was pet friendly with drive-up assessable rooms. We were very pleased to have all the comforts of home during this time of travel.
As a female traveling alone, I am somewhat hesitant to stay in a hotel with exterior doors, however I wanted to check out the Best Western as the reviews were good and the price is affordable. I travel to the airport area the night before early flights and was impressed with the new lobby and renovated rooms at this property. I noticed that there seem to be a number of people outside in the pool/courtyard area, but everyone was friendly and not at all intrusive. The room was well appointed and the bed comfortable. I was given a room on the pool side, near the lobby door, which made me feel safe. In the morning, the dining room was serving breakfast prior to the posted 6:00am time, I assume to accommodate the construction or electric workers gathering for their day. I thought this was wonderful and welcoming. The breakfast selection was good and I had a small bite before leaving for the airport. I will definitely consider this location the next time I have to travel from GSP early in the morning.
You could throw a stone from this hotel to the interstate on-ramp, which is convenient. The amenities were everything I expected, the hardwood floors a nice touch, if not as cozy. This is a big place, apparently designed for long-haul truckers (I suspect that's why no carpeting) and it's busy. The front desk is along a side hallway making it awkward to handle a high volume of customers: you have to wait in the foyer and take your turn at the desk. The desk itself is scattered with papers like they're too harrassed to file anything. I didn't try going down to breakfast - the eating area had long counters with high, hard chairs obviously designed for large crowds to eat & leave - I didn't feel like facing the diner atmosphere. Don't get me wrong, the stay was fine and I'll probably stay here again if I'm in Greenville, but it didn't have the same serenity I've come to expect from other BW properties.
Photos on the website looks nicer but the hotel in person is a disappointment. The room is clean overall. Railings on the 2nd floor are flimsy and unsafe. Feels unsafe walking around the hotel grounds. I should have pay the $5-10 extra per night to get a better hotel.
Great staff, very accommodating, clean rooms, good breakfast, comfortable beds. Desk staff was extremely helpful and courteous. Able to accommodate a large group and tried to keep us together as we were traveling with a group of teenagers.
I stayed at this property 2 years ago, and our family of 4 stayed again this week. It provides a cost effective accommodation whether traveling as an individual or family. The pool was busy with families enjoying a refreshing break from the day. The breakfast provided the essentials you would expect from a budget hotel. If you don't like what's on the menu, then go to the restaurant next door. If you don't like the hotel room offerings then you have other hotel choices just around the corner. The staff was friendly and the check in and check out was easy. It's located near a busy shopping area, conveniently located just off the interstate.
It's Saturday night, 10:30. While I was checking in, my husband watched a drug deal in the parking lot. There are people hanging out drinking and smoking all over the parking lot and along the outside rooms. There are two men and a hooker in the corner room. I see the GM has responded to other posts stating the reviewers must have been at the wrong hotel. Nope. They were definitely here with the smoky, stinky rooms with wood floors on Pelham Road in Greenville. I would suggest that along with the room renovations, they need to hire security and stop the loitering.
We've enjoyed our stay here. The property is neat, clean and newly renovated. The is wood laminate in the rooms. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. Everything worked at it should and they have a nice pool. Good breakfast and work out room. I'd stay on the pool side . The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. We would stay here again.
We had a room in the second floor (best than ground floor to keep noise from arriving vehicles at a minimum). The staff was very helpful and the complimentary breakfast was very good, with warm items (eggs, grits, etc), waffles, cereals, breads, etc.
I was already at another hotel and needed to find a property along my route of travel (I-85) that would put me in close proximity to home. This Best Western property was chosen because of location and the affordable rate offered. Arriving, I noticed that the access was immediately to the outside as opposed a hallway. The facility appeared to need exterior care (could use sweeping along the stairwell, room furniture propped up along the wall instead of stored). All things considered the room was comfortable, it was quiet and everything was working properly. The morning clerks at the front desk were not as cordial as those I've experienced at other Best Western properties.
We stayed 3 nights. Really nice rooms. Great Breakfast with a big selection of foods. We enjoyed our stay. We were there for a get together called the Traveling picnic. We at a park close by. Then on two of the evenings we gathered by the pool to visit and to swim.
The hotel was perfect for our needs. I loved the wood floors in the room and the size of the room was great. We didn't feel cramped at all. Very spacious! Breakfast had lots of choices from hot to cold. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating to our needs.
Nice and clean but NO particular parking if you are towing a vehicle. We were in a pickup, pulling a small trailer. We parked across 3 spaces, on the outside edge of the parking lot away from the building and got a call from the front desk about an hour later (midnight!), telling us we needed to move (though the place was mostly vacant). We had to park along the curb quite a distance away from our room, near the street. We were concerned about many of the things that we had on our open trailer. The only other option suggested was parking in a lot way in the back away from the building. The hotel is also advertised as pet friendly and on bringfido.com it said $20 per night per room. Upon arrival we were told that it was $20 per pet! Since we were traveling with two dogs we were not very happy with this but given the hour we just paid the fee. Despite being pet-friendly there were signs everywhere saying "Do not walk your dog here". We never were able to find where dogs were "authorized" to do their business. Rate advertised on their website was $110 per night. We got a discount booking through TripAdvisor and AAA. This was fortunate as this was definitely not a $110 per night place! Breakfast was the same as any other mid-priced Hotel chain (cereal, muffins, waffles) but also included eggs and sausage. Breakfast room was rather small but kept quite clean. Since we normally travel with a large vehicle we will likely not stay here again due to the parking restrictions and the pet policy.
One of the few hotels that still offer smoking rooms, and it was very clean and did not smell of smoke. I was very happy with my stay at this hotel. Will for sure stay at this hotel next time we work in the area.
I stayed here because of price--very reasonable. But, due to traffic, it was not convenient to the downtown venue for my evening business meeting. Staff was friendly and attentive. Room was a bit noisy. Compressor on the refrigerator may have been going out. Finally unplugged it and room was quieter. Continental breakfast was well stocked.
Funny smell in lobby. Rooms do not have an inviting feeling. Motel area very unsettling & did not feel safe. Had pool view while four men had at least 35 beer cans empty and 2 coolers full. People hanging out everywhere, very creepy in the way they stare and follow others around, even staff. Felt SHADY! My family asked to leave within the hour and I gladly paid the check out early fee. 4 days turned into 1 hour!! DO NOT STAY. I've been to several Best Westerns and never had this experience.
We had a room with two double beds. The sweet woman at the front desk recommended the second floor to avoid overhead noise. We appreciated the suggestion. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. Good pillows, but brought our own. Pretty quiet most of the time. Seemed to be an equal mix of travelers and construction workers. The crowd that was out after dark was a bit sketchy but kept to themselves. Most didn't speak English as a primary language. Staff was friendly. Cable was fuzzy on a lot of the channels. The waffle house in across the parking lot was horrible.
Read all the reviews here on Trip advisor and decided to give this place a shot. It is a no frills Best Western. The room was clean, but the picture makes the room look MUCH nicer than it is. The floors are hardwood looking laminate. I thought this was odd, but looked very nice in the picture, then I realized that they are done this way as it is easier to clean than carpet. Makes the room very echoey. The TV remote did not work, and the in room safe was falling out of the wall. The bed was comfortable I did rest well. But by having a room facing the outdoor pool you cant get to sleep until after the pool closes at 9pm. There were as many people outside their rooms as their was inside their rooms. The area of town is not the most Glamorous, and the WAFFLE HOUSE in the hotel parking lot makes it even less appealing. It appeared there were many people actually living there more than just staying the night. The morning Breakfast was above average having hot food (grits, sausage, eggs) in addition to just the waffle and cereal. As my title says, it is a cheap place to stay however I will probably stay elsewhere next time.
I rate this hotel very high. Beds very comfortable, Pool very nice, Breakfast nourishing. The stafff are always very helpful and friendly. Good location with airport shuttle available. Coffee available in room but also available in lobby area, Hotel close to several restaurants and stores to shop in. Right off the highway so easy access.
Uncaring hotel staff unresponsive to your needs. I have stayed at this property 3 different times over the last year and each stay presented a new set of issues/problems. I like Best Western and stay there when I can. I made a mistake this last time, won't happen again...I promise.
Best Western is our go to hotel. This one has been renovated and they did a great job. Beds were very comfortable, the room was very clean and thank you, thank you for getting rid of carpeting. I think almost everyone hates carpet in a hotel room because they always look dirty or stained. The staff were very nice and accommodating. Breakfast was fine. Coffee was good. The pool was sparkling clean. The price was right. We only had to drive a few miles to get to downtown Greenville. Actually, we were glad to get out of the traffic downtown and back to the hotel for peace and quiet. We would definitely recommend this hotel.
This is a great hotel to stay at! The staff are friendly and very helpful. They go out of their way to make sure you are happy!! It's a great location easy access and the breakfast is good too!! They always go the extra mile to make sure you are satisfied with your room and everything is just like you want it. I love staying here when I come to the Greenville/Spartanburg area for business. I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else.
This hotel was excellent - super clean and so convenient to the GSP airport. Willy at the front desk was most accommodating and aswered all our questions. The ladies in the breakfast room - Miss Vicky and Miss Georgia could not have been more attentive and helpful. The new hardwood flooring contributed to the neat appearance of the room...the bed was super comfortable. Would definitely stay here on our next visit.
My room was clean and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was good. I just wished that they offer Turkey Sausage instead of Pork. The hotel was selected by the host for the event that I was attending but I would stay at this hotel again if in the area.
I stayed for just one night since I had a flight leaving out early the next morning. Didn't really get to talk to the front desk to much (being it was so late). Check in was easy even with one person. Quite and clean????
Spent a quick quick overnight before flying out of GSP . This is a very clean hotel with newly remodeled rooms right off I-85 within 3 miles of the airport. They also offer a shuttle, and also long term airport parking for an additional fee. Great choice, would recommend
I stayed here and want to just say how helpful the staff were as well as the cleanliness of the hotel. The overall hotel was clean, but the rooms were spotless and the beds very comfortable. I travel alone a lot and was not at all uncomfortable with staying here by myself. The front desk staff showed what southern hospitality is all about. I will return.
Exceeded expectations because I normally have a poor view of low cost and outside entrance places. Not normally someplace I would stay, but I needed someplace in a pinch that took corporate lodging which my company requires. Website said newly renovated and the pics looked good so I went for it. Sitting right next to 85 it is convenient to many places. From the outside it looks like a typical motel, nothing special. When I checked in they said I would have a room with an inside corridor, was not sure what that mean. It mean a room facing inside and with a view of the pool..This was a nice surprise because the alternative was a room facing outside and probably highway 85. Rooms were nice with hardwood floors, all new furniture and comfortable beds. Room also had a microwave and refrigerator. Even the cable was better than expected. Most hotels cable is pretty basic, but here you get 8 or 9 HBO channels plus many others you would not expect. The internet was slightly better than average but not great. Breakfast too was your typical free breakfast, nothing special. Service was good at the desk, no complaints. The area also has many restaurant choices although fighting traffic late in the afternoon can be a challenge. Overall better than expected and in a pinch I would stay there again.
I had a very early flight out of Greenville, so spent the night prior at the Best Western Greenville Airport Inn. The price was reasonable, the room comfortable, and the staff friendly and helpful. And very important, being a woman traveling alone, I felt safe.
I had a problem with the TV remote. Reggie came running to take care of it. I liked that kind of service. The rooms really surprise you. It's like Hampton Inn quality inside the room at a Best Western price I guess. All the people I came in contact with were friendly. The housekeepers don't speak a lot of English but they did understand a request I made which was good. Breakfast was also surprisingly good. Hotel has had a complete renovation looks like.
We were on our way down to Columbus, GA, and Greenville, SC was a logical stopping point. It's definitely an older property, but it was newly renovated, and the wood flooring gave it a very clean feeling. The room size was very comfortable, loved having the small refrigerator and microwave, and the location was quite convenient. I was very grateful for the reasonableness of their pet fees. I know my dogs, and they don't have long hair, nor do they make messes since they are older. I wouldn't bring them with me if I didn't know they would travel well, so the higher pet fees make no sense to me. Lots of places to eat nearby, and very convenient location. Staff did a good job keeping the breakfast area stocked. The only complaint I would have is that the coffee at breakfast was very weak!
Upon arrival we were greeted with big smiles and all week while we were there- Just excellent service. Housekeepers really make the room shine. The pool water is still a little on the cool side for me but the pool area is very nice. They have a picnic area in the back. Very nice. There's even a grill if you choose to grill a burger. Loads of restaurants nearby. Manager was greeting at Breakfast with her assistant. Excellent service.
I was only here for one night, but everything was wonderful! From checking-in to the cleanness of the room, and breakfast was wonderful! Every employee was top notch that I dealt with. Any time I travel through Greenville, I will be staying here again!
I really enjoyed my stay at this property. The rooms were clean and the décor was really nice. The hotel had a good breakfast and I thought the breakfast area looked very modern. Randy checked me in and was very polite and helpful. Our room was on the backside near the dog park which was a very nice bonus. We will definitely stay here the next time we come to Greenville.
The hotel is so clean and covenant to everything. Close to the GSP airport , great shopping and great restaurants. Just 15 minutes from downtown. Where you will find a beautifully renovated city with even more great shops and restaurants. you will also find Falls Park. A lovely park with biking and walking trails. I was truly surprised at how nice it was. Then Kim at the front desk was so helpful and always had a smile to greet us with. I will be definitely stay here again.
My husband and I have stayed at this Best Western several times over the last few years. We love all of the improvements. The floors will always be my favorite though. The staff is great, especially Randy and Helena whom we have had the pleasure of dealing with each trip. Our room has always been clean and well maintained. We have never had any major problems. The only issue we've dealt with was our TV not working and it was fixed quickly. The location is great and there are several places to eat across the bridge. I would definitely recommend this property. We look forward to our next visit.
You will not be disappointed with this Best Western. The price, the efficiency of the staff and the comfort of the motel, as well as, the location will meet your high expectations. It is near many quality restaurants and excellent shopping. The interstate is right there making the city easily accessible.
It was very good and pleasant experience to stay at Best Western Airport Inn. Very convenient location and right price for service. When I will be in town I definably will chose Best Western. Everyone was very nice and professional.
I second the review that said it was not clean enough for them. Didn't like that A/C could not be run "fan on," for noise and circulation. First floor noisy and at the end of the building, there seemed to be a bit of a "smoking hang out." Morning one person front desk was frazzled & not particularly friendly. Breakfast staff was "ready to shut it down," as soon as she could. Even though we got there in plenty of time, all the waffle mixture had been taken away (or gone.) I came home with biting sensation on skin and many angry red spots on arms & legs. Very itchy and painful for several days. "Not say-in', but just say-in'." Maybe it would have been better to have the "clorox" smell (as one visitor said) rather than bug bites?
Had problems with first room, finally moved to another room. More problems but a surly tech fixed them, Loud parking lot party that no one handled till 10:00 PM. The staff did nothing to make you feel welcome.
Just stayed for one night , when i got in to the room i had a strong clorox smell that was very uncomfortable , i cant remember what i paid for the stay but I'm pretty sure it was not worth the price !! Got some work to do around the place !! Parking lot was a little crowded but manage to park the 3 or 4 times i went out !
We were only in town for one night, and it fit our budget.....all of the hotels in the area had raised their rates for the weekend because of a concert. I was immediately put off by the smell in the lobby bathroom; reminded me of a porta-potty. We booked two rooms; Our reservations were messed up, and they only had one room for six of us. The staff, however quickly rectified this. Five stars for them! The rooms seemed fine, but my eagle eyes quickly noticed that there was a layer of dust and grime on the dresser around the mini fridge and microwave, and on the baseboards. The beds were super comfy, but I was awakened at 6 am by the overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke coming from the adjoining room.....strange, these were all non smoking rooms.......I am also a smoker, but never smoke inside......so if it was able to wake me up? Won't stay again
I was impressed with the recent renovation to this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable and the laminate flooring was nice. The water pressure seemed a little low, and the heater seemed to struggle to keep the room warm (managed to visit during an unusual cold spell), but neither issue was worth complaining about. In all, I'd stay here again. Stayed April 2016, traveled solo
Brief but very pleasant stay; good location. Rooms were spacious. There was a good selection of restaurants nearby. The breakfast was better than some others. It was a very convenient location for the airport. The shuttle took us to the airport with no problem, and dropped us off exactly where we needed to be.
I was impressed with the upgrades to this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable and the laminate flooring was a nice touch. The only issues: (they were not major issues and certainly didn't warrant a complaint) the toilet handle was a little loose and the water pressure in the shower wasn't quite up to what I prefer. Neither were deal breakers at all. The toilet flushed and I could still shower. :)The staff was friendly and allowed me to check in my room an hour prior to check-in time. Considering the location (close to the airport and on a high traffic road) it was relatively quiet. It isn't a 4-star hotel but for the comfort, convenience, and price it was perfect for what I wanted; a couple of days of quiet, relaxation. I will definitely stay here again in the future.
My husband likes to stay at Best Western whenever we travel because of their point system. The room looks like it has been recently renovated. Instead of carpet there are laminate floors. Very nice and clean. The location was good for my husband's meeting. It is not far from the airport off I-85. My only complaint is the noise. The airport traffic is over the hotel and there is a fire department across the street.
Very comfortable bed, nice large room - friendly staff, CLEAN Hotel.. - quiet considering outside corridor hotel - convenient to all facilities in the Greenville area - courteous staff. Fast internet, love the soap, lotion, shampoo dispensers.
Room is clean-n-basic with a laminated wood floor in a simple no-frills way. Despite the relatively low price, bedroom is equipped with a microwave oven, small refrigerator, and a 40" LCD TV with cable and remote-control. Beds are clean and comfortable. I woke up rested every day during our 4 day stay. Shower-head is inferior and should be replaced with a head providing a concentrated spray-pattern with more water volume. Not a deal breaker. Liquid bath-soap and shampoo are available through a shower wall-mounted dispenser. It's convenient. Vent in bathroom amplifies conversations in adjacent room's bath. Caution, if you don't want strangers knowing your incriminating secrets, be careful what you say in your bath. Swimming-pool is clean, pleasant, and attractive. Courtyard garden is a relaxing addition to the inn's property. A 24hr Waffle House shares the inn's parking lot so food is available 'round the clock. Parking is sufficient, but slots fill up quickly at night. Wi-Fi is available so bring your devices. I would return. Thanks, Best Western!
This Best Western is very convenient to I 85 with many eating establishments nearby. The room was recently remodeled and was very convenient. The hotel has 4 buildings facing one another with a pool in the center of the quad. Regrettably, my room faced the pool and was very noisy until midnight. If you want a quiet room, I suggest the outside. The breakfast was meager at best. Go to the Waffle House next door.
The experience was more motel or YMCA-like than a hotel. It was an overall very stingy vibe, from the 1 tiny bar soap to the sad continental breakfast. The room fridge froze the raw veggies I had carefully prepared, and guess what else was in there to be ruined? My insulin for type 1 diabetes that I need to survive. Check out time was supposedly 11:00am but at 10:20 a housekeeper appeared at the door saying “let's go! Let's go!” So we rushed, and my teen daughter started acting out because she hates to be rushed. Stress! At check out, the bill appeared to be wrong after we paid and we had to get back in line, and I was grumbling to my husband about how I had a feeling we'd get screwed considering what happened so far. The agent at the desk overheard and loudly chastised me, one because I'd misunderstood the charges (the bill was correct), and two because he was “offended.” And even though I said I was sorry 3 times, he still implied I was a “miserable person” while we left and my back was turned. Great. Just great. On my 38th birthday too. Lots of tears shed. As the family breadwinner, I will not be spending my hard earned money here or probably any Best Western in the future.
I love Best Western. Great value, service, location and staff. BW is always my first choice. I especially like that I can park my car there while I'm out of town and take the shuttle for free! All around best choice for hotel stay!
The wife and I like to get away from Home once in awhile and Greenville is the perfect place. Always stay at Best western airport inn. Laura and Willie always professional at front desk and always go the extra mile
It was great for a one night stay. Great prices for a getaway for Volley Ball tournament for my daughter. Simple to find and close to where she was playing. Nice location, very clean stay, Beds were smaller than an usual double bed but we made due. Next time would ask for 2 Queen beds. Several restaurants to take advantage of nearby and very short distance from the PAVILLION where my daughter was playing in a volleyball tournament. Very reasonable and nice for what we needed. We would stay there again.
From check-in to check-out, we were treated very well by the friendly staff. The location was very convenient to restaurants and the highway. The only reason I gave sleep quality a "very good" is that we are not use to the fan in the room coming on and off all night. It is nothing against the quality of the hotel. We would stay at Best Western Greenville Airport Inn if we are in the area again.
This motel is conveniently located near the freeway and nearby restaurants. The staff was friendly and professional. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the shower was excellent. We did not sample the breakfast. Overall, a good value for the money. I would stay there again.
If the shower pressure would have been even adequate I would have rated it a 5, but because the shower pressure wasn't strong enough to even get the soap off my body I gave it a 4. The room was great and newly renovated, the bed was excellent, and staff were great! I didn't get to have breakfast, but I believe they had grits, sausage gravy and biscuits, eggs, waffles, yogurt, fresh fruit, and juice. When checking out I told them about the shower head and she said if I would have let them know they would have changed it out for me, but I was working 12 hr shifts so I probably wouldn't have wanted them in my room any way, but at least she wrote the room number down and was going to have them check it out. I do beleive they care about your experience and try to make it great for you.
This hotel is plagued by less than average staff and below average services. Although the location is desirable to Greenville, if you are looking for any kinda ruffles and flourishes from your lodging ... this is NOT the place to look. Poor Breakfast and a worse staff ... I advise select another. My wife have indicated we WILL NOT be staying at this property again.
I have chosen this as my go-to motel when I visit family in Greenville. Close to the airport and lots of great restaurants!! Laura and Willie are great at their jobs. They make you feel welcome and remember your face. Love the room, heater, floors and bed all made me feel warm and cozy. I rested well knowing was at a clean and germ-free guestroom. Good breakfast if your an earlier riser. The pool area is so inviting, temperatures have yet to cooperate! I am looking forward to my next visit.
Laura welcomed us with a smile and friendly service. The room was clean and comfortable. Bed was comfortable. In room amenities were nice. The room provided ample space to relax. Laura provided us with a room with easy access to the main room for quick access to coffee and breakfast.
For the price, I felt like the value was not great (for only $20 more I could've been in a 3-star "express" hotel) but overall it was clean enough and had the basic amenities. Issues with my room upon arrival (missing remote, broken telephone) were repaired quickly when I called the front desk. Lots of highway noise from my room - I ended up blasting the heat all night to for white noise but other than that it was not a big deal. As a solo traveler just needing a place to put my head down for the night (10 pm check in, 9 am check out), it was fine, but for more than a one night short stay, I would select a better hotel. I felt like the price was too high for the overall value.
Hotel has great location, right off the interstate so very easy to find. Only stayed for one night so it was the perfect place for this trip. Check in & out was very simple, quick, and front desk agents were very friendly. Room was spacious but bathroom was a little small and outdated. The AC fan was a little loud but nothing I couldn't handle. Wifi was quick and all other amenities worked great.
Nice new upgrades to an older motel. Good location, nice staff. Waffle House just steps away. Very close to the airport and interstate 85. Easy access to other restaurants across the interstate like California Dreaming.
My wife and I stayed at this hotel for a single day when visiting our daughter. Being close to the GSP airport we reached it in a short time. The room was neat and clean. Everything was in working order. Our room was facing inside to the pool. There was no freeway or road noise. The staff was friendly. The breakfast was satisfactory with many selections. I have no complaints.
Nice location ...near many restaurants...quiet, clean rooms with friendly , helpful staff....breakfast typical of many hotels but only cold hard boiled eggs ..would have been nice to have scrambled eggs,
My initial response to this hotel was of low expectations due to the unpleasant smell in the lobby area. However despite the unpleasant smells and rundown appearance of the outside area of the hotel my room was clean and well maintained and my stay was pleasant.
Depending of the place of your room you will spend the night counting the trucks running out...and if you finish to sleep try to awake early because at 9am breakfast is finish ! Exept that the room is nice ...but the wifi very slow.
Last weekend I took a Group of 24 (8 Rooms) Hiking & Skiing. On our way we overnighted in Greenville, SC at the Best Western Greenville Airport Inn. When we arrived the Front Desk was ready for us and got us into our Rooms quickly. The Rooms were great and the Continental Breakfast was very good. We look forward to staying there again.
Very nice place to stay. Room clean. Internet was amazing. Some hotel internets are so slow they could hardly call it "wifi", but not here. So convenient to GSP - only 5 minutes. WAs surprised to see a "tip jar" in the breakfast area. Do we tip now when we totally serve ourselves - isn't the staff paid at least minimum wage.
This is an old BW hotel, with outside entrances and (2) quite large 2 storey buildings. The room looked like it had been somewhat updated, but still very old overall. TV and WiFi were OK, room could have been a bit cleaner, the heating control was terrible, although it seemed like a reasonably new unit. I finally shut it off, even though it was cold out. It seemed kind of sketchy outside, but ultimately, there were no problems that I experienced. (My car was intact in the morning!). Surprisingly to me, it was very quiet, both from road noise (it was right next to I-85, although my room faced away) and people noise. I had an early flight, so didn't catch breakfast, but check in and check out were both quick and pleasant. The approval and star rating were far higher on the site that I booked, than I would have given it.
Another site had this as a highly rated motel. Not so much. First, this is an OLD motel; exterior entrance to each room, very noisy old AC/heating systems, drafty doors and windows, thin walls that you can hear your neighbors through, rusty bathroom fixtures. They room was recently refurnished and the beds were very good. There is none of that nasty smelling motel carpeting; hardwood floors - smart. The free breakfast was like most others; free and not really that good. The price was right and given all the things that could be improved, a good value for 1 night stay before departing the airport.
lovely hotel very close to the airport, efficient shuttle from and to the airport, amazing staff specially the guys at the front desk. nice pool coffee and refreshments are available at the dining area.
The hotel room was fairly clean and I felt safe in the room. The room was in need of repairs, especially in the vanity/bathroom area, and the curtains were very dirty. My biggest complaint is the billing. I had to make a long-distance call to get an email of my bill (booked two rooms for 5 nights each). The bills automatically include a $2/day safe charge whether you use the safe or not. The charge was credited back to my card. You get what you pay for at this hotel.
The staff is particularly friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Very nice facility. Clean. Comfortable. And, there's a very good restaurant both on-site and next door. It's only a short ride to downtown Charlotte, if you want to mix in some nightlife in with your plans at the local attractions.
We stayed here prior to leaving on an early flight the next morning. This location/venue fit our criteria for having a free shuttle (by 5 AM), along with the option to leave our car in their lot while traveling. No charge for the parking unless you go over 14 days. They had just started a remodeling project, so there was minimal noise until 7 PM. Otherwise our innner corridor, first floor room was quiet. My only complaint was a strong odor from either cleaning products or air freshener which hit us as soon as we entered the room. I did not mention in to the staff as I didn't expect it to cause problems, in the future I might choose to change rooms. Staff was helpful, courteous and our shuttle driver to and from the airport was great.
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of my stay. I have always had an opinion that Best Western's were "motel-ish." I felt very comfortable and the rooms are updated and attractive. Good quality for the price.
Stayed here for 3 nights on vacation. Excellent value. Some employees pleasant, others rude!! The rooms were renovated, Bedding clean, chairs brand new, but very disappointed with the dirty floors. They were wood laminate which is great, but awful cleaning job. We kept our tiny poodle on the bed most of time, as she was too clean to walk around on the floor! They allow up to 2 small dogs for $15.00 each per night, which is cheaper than a kennel! Breakfast bar was the worst of all BW's due to the grumpy woman who worked the buffet constantly yelling that it closes at 9:15am and never replenishing items unless you asked. Also no sausages or bacon or scrambled eggs, only hard boiled. Biscuits and bagels were dry. Must ask for fruit which goes real fast and does not get replenished. Pool was nice but was closed the whole time, I guess do to time of year. There is a dog park but beware of lazy people not bagging and disposing of the poo!! We always stay at BW's, but this was not one of the better ones. Having said that though, the price was great and the beds were comfortable and TV was big enough.
We usually stay at a Best Western, as we know we will get good value for our money. It is always clean and comfortable, with coffee and wi-fi in the room. The breakfast is included also. This one also has a fitness room, with very updated equipment.
We stopped here on Christmas night on our way somewhere else. The staff was helpful, cheerful and friendly. Rooms were nice and clean. There were a few repairs needed that we mentioned to staff. They made a report to make repairs. Breakfast was good with typical variety.
Clean and the decor is very pleasant, plus the Waffle House is next door with the ability to easily walk to it; no need to get back in the car and go elsewhere if one chooses not to. It is a good Waffle House. Easy-on and easy-off to Route. 85. Wonderful restaurants, shops close by if you want more choices than Waffle House.
I booked online through priceline for two nights. I was checked in by front desk lady around 6:00pm. At 1:00 AM some other guest was given keys to the same room by mistake. I got woken up by this big bang and I found out later that the other guest tried to open my room from outside and since I had it bolted from inside and he couldn't open and left. And then the worst part is I got a call from this rude front desk person at 1:45 AM and the front desk person was asking me very RUDELY who I am and why I am staying in this room as he couldn't find my details in his system. This front desk person had no clue and he tried to book the same room to another guest and he was mad at me and hung up on me at 1:30 AM . He is so rude and he didn't even apologize after finding out it was the Hotel's mistake. I ended up calling Best Western's Customer service at 2:00 AM and raised a complaint and I found that they had made a mistake. In spite of knowing it was a mistake on the part of the hotel, this guy Randy didn't call me back to explain the situation or apologize. He is so RUDE. I found out this guy has been working there in the same hotel for three years. I would never go back to this hotel again even if they offer me free stay. I never felt safe here. I still have not received apologies from either this Front desk person or Best Western.
The bed was very comfortable. Room was very clean. Breakfast was the worst I have experienced. Grits were very watery and lukewarm, oatmeal was very watery and cold. Waffles didn't really have any taste at all. The room & staff were wonderful though.
This best Western holds up to the chains standards they have clean and roomy rooms a outdoor pool so you can enjoy the sun gym and the free breakfast is more than some chains toast fruit and coffee I will defendantly stay there again
The dog manure around the pet area was so bad I didn't walk my dog there, I took her out by the road then I cleaned it up, then I told the lady at the front desk about the pet area she said it will be cleaned up now, well it is still there two days later.
Whenever visiting Greenville, my husband and I stay at this Best Western. You can find more expensive and fancier hotels. But, clean, quiet accommodations, a comfortable bed with enough pillows and hot showers are at the top of our list; and we have never been disappointed. The breakfast items are good and the staff is friendly and accommodating. I noticed someone complained about the hardwood floors . . . really? They're easier to keep clean than carpeting and were nicely done.
The room was very nice, clean and the bed was comfortable. We arrived after midnight, and had no problems checking in. The staff was very prompt and we were in our room fairly quickly. Only had 2 minor issues: a few of the HD channels didn't want to work and the shower pressure was weak, but those are minor issues that really didn't effect us or the trip. For the price, it was a great deal and I would definitely stay here again.
Room wasn't so clean, Hair on the bed and bathroom floor. Breakfast just OK. Not a bad place to stay for a budget hotel. Did notice some hookers around the property. My great experience was the kindness and helpfulness of Laura at the front desk.
I booked this hotel and my reservation was for a non smoking room, got there and they only have smoking rooms which I got it because I've been driving all day. Well, I deal with drunk people in the parking lot right in front of my door, and room that smell disgusting .I'll never, ever will stay here again! !!!!!!!!!
We stopped at the Best Western in Greenville on our way north. We were traveling with a small dog (a Westie). The motel was clean and they had a fenced area for dogs in the back which was a nice feature. The room was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast bar was adequate.
Nice people, clean room {never stayed in a room with no carpet}. Breakfast pastries were frozen/thawed and tasted it. A bit difficult getting into parking lot. Overall not bad for an overnight respite - no noise and we were close to the front and lobby.
This is a very good place to stay. One of my friends had their wedding there. The staff was very friendly and helpful with the wedding. Comfortable beds and good Wi-Fi. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.
Overall the stay was good. The only complaint I had was low water pressure and bad water temperature in shower. It was in great locations close to shops and restaurants and highway access. The staff were all friendly. Free breakfast & Wifi but no meat on breakfast bar.
Room was clean, bed comfortable and shower good. Hotel was quiet. Everything worked, but it is an airport hotel. Breakfast room was large and light but seats was very soft, so you sat really low.No complaints
VERY dated. Very small. Room smelled of urine when a/c was turned on. CERTAINLY DID NOT appreciate the skateboarders VERY early, EVERY morning, considering we traveled all night, arriving at 2:30-3 am. Coffee served at breakfast room was very fresh and very good. Glad there was a Waffle House next door! Need some serious, detailed attention on this property. CHARGED $2.00/day. we were NOT advised of, for a safe in room we did not even use! Good thing?? The staff was very pleasant, from the front desk to housekeeping. SERIOUSLY recommend influence and training from the Stuart, FL, Best Western on US-1. They have it right! So sorry to have to provide a less than positive review, but it is what it is....just facts.
Had an early flight out of GSP. This hotel is an old style but is very clean, and reasonable. It is located right beside I 85 and you can be at the airport in 5 minutes. If you have an early morning flight this place is perfect. They also have a shuttle so you can leave your car for a week.
The woman that checked us in was very friendly with a great sense of humor. Our room was very clean, and the bed was comfortable. Unfortunately our heat was not working, but as soon as we informed the front desk they sent a maintenance man immediately. He worked diligently and had our room toasty warm. Very friendly, hard working staff.
My daughter and I traveled a lot last weekend and were happy to return to Best Western. We have stayed here before and we have never been disappointed. The rooms are exceptionally clean and comfortable. The staff friendly and courteous. We slept too late to get breakfast, but I'm sure it was as good as the rest of the Inn. I highly recommend this Inn for your stay.
Great night life Bars for all to enjoy horse draw carriage rides good valve good food piano bar craft beer bars great shops sport arena anything you like to do you can find it downtown Greenville SC nice little shops next time in greenville i will check out downtown in the day time
I found the room to be very clean and comfortable and was grateful for a place that allowed my canine travelling buddy. However, the room was on the Interstate side and it sounded as if the traffic was coming through the room. And it continued throughout most of the night. Additionally, because the rooms are so reasonable, the hotel attracts a lot of "working folks", many of whom drive noisy trucks out at 5am. So I didn't get good sleep. I might stay again if a courtyard room was available, butI would not opt to stay on the freeway side again.
Full of Swift Trucking Co. want-to-be driver trainees. All kinds of people. Almost full every night. Nice remodeled room. Big eating area. Close to airport, so some airplane noise, especially outside.
I wanted to take my kids to see some fall color but did not want to break the bank. I had made a reservation at another hotel and then saw the reviews on this one and changed plans but was a little worried based on the price and some comment. The hotel was very easy to find, convenient to a walmart, gas station and popular restaurants. Check in went quickly and the gentleman at the desk was polite. When I walked in it was clean and not only that it smelled clean. This is a huge thing for me, it didn't smell like cleaner or anything else it just smelled clean. With it being a pet friendly hotel someone made very wise decisions to use laminate floors, faux leather bed skirts and couch. Nothing that attracts hair or holds pet scent. They got bedding to us right away for the fold out. For the price it really couldn't be beat. We also appreciated the dog park with doggy bags. It is an older building, it's been repainted who knows how many times and it isn't fancy. But when your going to be out and about all day all that matters is a hot shower, a clean bed and AC that works (and it did work great with no musty smells!). Someone else mentioned workers. Yes, they were there and I was a solo Mom with her kids and they did not bother us in the slightest. We could hear some traffic noise but the room faced away from the freeway and didn't keep us up. Had neighbors every night for our 3 night stay and didn't hear a peep. Breakfast wasn't over the moon but it was way better then some and filled us up before hiking.
I booked our 1 night stay through a website and apparently was not given all the details about this hotel. You should know this hotel is sold out almost every night, when you check in don't be surprised if you have to wait. The staff can "seem" unhappy when they wait on you, trust me they do care but are just stressed out. I found this to be the case when the staff told me I booked a smoking non king room. I certainly would never have done that seeing that I quit smoking a year ago, I now find the odor repulsive but it also makes me want to pick up a cigarette, giving into my inner struggle to remain smoke free. The staff flat out told me all the rooms were booked and unfortunately I was stuck with a room I couldn't stay in for more than 10 minutes. The front desk employees said they would come in and help reduce the odor with a special cleaning agent. We agreed and left for downtown to eat. My husband was trying to find another hotel when the front staff who I had assumed thought I was a demanding and spoiled brat, who had to get her way. But I had underestimated how much they cared, they were able to switch my room to a non smoking King Bed room. Thank you for fixing my mistake online and helping me stick to my healthy life goals. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again, but I will call the hotel to book next time!
While older, the hotel was well maintained and clean. There were obvious efforts to make it aesthetically pleasing. The room was comfortable and decent sized, at least for two people. The breakfast was basic, but with a decent selection. We would stay here again, even with our two kids. By the way, we stayed here to visit the Biltmore to conserve funds and it worked well. It was an easy 1 hour 15 minute drive to the Estate.
this Best Western is in a great location. It is in easy driving distance to a wide variety of restaurants and a few shops plus it is right off the freeway. The best part of the room is that they have replaced the carpet with laminate "hardwood" flooring. The bed was comfortable and the room, especially the bathroom, was spotless. It was more than we expected from an economy hotel.
This is the 2nd time I have stayed here. The room was better this time. The chair and couch were so dirty I would never sit down in or on them. They always seem to have every dirty worker in the area staying there. I'm taking about their uniforms and persons. They all sit in the walk ways and smoke and talk very loud. It was fine for me till I wanted to sleep. Lucky they went in a 11pm.
Hotel is old and needs renovation. Price is in line with this, so overall this is a good value. No specific problems; everything worked properly. The breakfast and the eating area are better than the rest of the hotel.
Staff excellent and extremly helpfull. An older inn but kept up nicely. Price was fair and I thought it to be a good value. I look forward to staying their again. Several places to eat withing walking distance and location is convenient to I-85 and only a few exits from the Greenville - Spartenburg Airport
The hotel was clean, friendly, perfect location for a stop off the freeway with lots of restaurants nearby. Breakfast was good and nice area. The price was great and worth every penny. The outside looks a little dated but the rooms were comfortable.
Stayed here while enjoying NGU Family Weekend and it was very nice. I love Best western hotels and this one had the faux wood floors as an extra touch. The hotel is right off of the Interstate so its easy access to the area. I can say that I did not hear too much traffic from the freeway or the airport. The only thing that could have made it better was if I could have experienced the pool. It looked so beautiful. The breakfast wasn't the best but it was edible. A Waffle House is right next door so that is helpful. I think this is a great place for families or couples. We had a King room which included a sleeper couch. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone who needs a place to stay in the area.
We were staying for three nights and wanted to stay in downtown Greenville, but forgot about the Clemson_ND game and couldnt find a reasonable hotel any closer. So we knew were not getting the Taj Mahal, but it was typical outward facing room door sketchy type motel. We came back one night to a strange woman just hanging out on the steps, room A/C was not working, and the maid tried to come into the room at 830AM and when we were still in bed told her not yet. She never came back. That night when I went to the front desk he was less than concerned. NOT a place I would recommend, even on the cheap.
Wanted to stay in a clean budget hotel for one night and found this based on recommendations on Tripadvisor. We reached the hotel close to 1.30 am at night. The customer assistant at the desk was curt to say the least. We had to carry our luggage through stairs as there was no elevator. The room door was completely broken and had to be kicked open. There was a very bright florescent light right outside our room ,with no shade on it ,and no matter what we did we could not keep the light off of the room.It was almost like sleeping under bright sunshine. The hot water in the shower was at best lukewarm. The only good thing was we had free breakfast in the morning.I did mention the draw backs to the clerk at the front desk next morning while checking out.Hope they fix at least the door. Until then ...say no if they assign room 258.
Clean, super comfortable beds. Remote came in a "fresh remote" bag that was super cute. Bathrooms were very clean, water pressure was amazing after having stayed at a different hotel for a few nights that was lacking pressure. Equipped with a safe for valuables, and breakfast was delicious. Was a wonderful overall stay!
It was a nice stay with my family for two nights. We enjoyed and I will consider taking Best Western again. The staff on the reception and departure was very cordial. Value wise it was very good. It is around 9 miles from downtown.
This Motel is located near by I85 (200 ft away) - very busy interstate in the night. My room was facing the interstate and I had the feeling that I85 is going through my room. Didn't get any sleep in the night. 2 starts because the room itself and the breakfast were Ok. Will never book this motel again - sorry, but in the night I like to sleep. Cannot understand all other very positive reviews. P.S.: Go to the google maps street view - you will see the motel from the interstate (Waffle House sign)
Excellent hotel, bad location. The room was very large, clean & pet friendly. The outside pet area was a nice surprise, however very noisy being right next to the interstate, especially for a timid dog. We could here the interstate noise in our room. We had a minor issue with the bathroom, called the desk and within 5 minutes maintenance & housekeeping were there and had the issue resolved & cleaned up!!!
Hotel was extremely clean and stay couldn't be nicer. The only one complaint I had was how thin the walls were. We could hear the neighbors tv and exactly what he/she was watching. Other than that couldn't ask for anything else! Willie at the front desk super nice and helpful. We had to check out early due to flooding for our drive home, and he was nice enough to work with us and be professional and courteous to help out! If in the are will definitely be back!
We chose this hotel primarily for the price point and proximity to the airport. We were arriving after midnight and called both the car rental as it says they close at midnight and the hotel to let them know to not release our room. It was nice that the hotel was near the airport as we were exhausted when we came in. You can see the sign from the road and it is next to the Waffle House. The property is open air two story buildings and we were on the second floor. We had lots of rain so I appreciated being by the stairs as the rain and wind were in a different direction. The weather made me hunker down so I missed the free breakfast each day. The rooms offered the microwave and refrigerator so we went to a grocery store and purchased frozen meals and salads. The room was clean and looked just like the photos. Free wifi and cable made it feel like home. The room was noisy when guests came back to their rooms. Hotels can't control the language of guests so guys be careful as children and teens can hear your conversation as you pass by and its difficult for parents to explain what is being said on the other side of the wall. The majority of guests were quiet and at no time did I (a woman) feel unsafe. If you are on a budget and visiting the area this is a good option.
It had a clean bed for me to sleep in, free breakfast, and free wifi. That's about all I needed. Wasn't impressed by anything, but that's to be expected considering the price I paid. Getting onto Pelham Rd in the mornings is a bit of a trick though. Greenville is a training center for one of my employer's vendors, so I will probably be staying here again.
We stayed the weekend. The room was nice and clean staff was friendly. The room was very noisy you could hear your neighbors water running, people outside talking, so I know they could hear us. It was a very nice area to stay just don't except quit
