"Average hotel"

A great hotel but the best part is the girl behind named Mariana who start her shift at 3 PM and makes everyone night an awesome night she helps u and she will sit and talk to u for hours she made me feel like I was home she an awesome person

"Way better than I was Expecting!"

Everyone was extremely nice and accommodating. The breakfast was a full breakfast and very tasty! The rooms were very clean and quiet. My sister and I enjoyed our stay and will definitely consider them next year.

"Wasn't Expecting This"

I've stayed at Best Western before but what I experience at this location was crazy. Our rooms had to be changed 3 times due to the 1st one being open when we walked up to it, 2nd had blood in it, 3rd ants in it and busted furniture.

Mary Lou B, General Manager at Best Western Plus Greensboro/Coliseum Area, responded to this review
I am sorry that your experience with us was not a pleasant one. I assure you that all the issues you encountered will be addressed. We appreciate your feedback. Thank You, Mary Lou

"Enjoyed our 2 night stay"

Room was large with two comfortable beds will definitely return breakfast both morning had several choices from scrambled eggs first morning to omelette and sausage biscuits and gravy the next pancake maker was really nice

""Before you go up""

We were attending a religious conference -The Gathering/Global United Fellowship, and we wanted a room not in the convention center, but, again not to far away. After scanning the area online we felt that this hotel was the best choice for our group of eight. It turned out to be one of the many good choices we had made during our week long stay.Besides having all of the necessary amenities along with the free breakfast every morning, the rooms were nicely functional, decorated, spacious and clean with extra sleeping space in the king room. The elevator jerks a lot on the ascend, so watch out for hot coffee carriers. The only challenge i had that annoyed me was that every time i tried to enter my room, my key did not work. this went on for several attempts, so i started having my keys re-keyed every time before i went up...problem solved . I have no problem with this hotel whatsoever, i recommend it highly, and compliment the staff for taking good care of us.

"Great stay"

Very nice place Great staff Everyone was very workable. Breakfast was good Room are very large GREAT WATER pressure. IN room fridge. Great experience. And 70$ cheaper then the conference hotel l. Room are just as great.

"CTE Conference"

I really enjoy staying at Best Western hotel, and always have very professional people working with me. I would highly recommend to anyone that is traveling for any reason to chose Best Western for a good stay away form home.

Thank You for your kind comments. We look forward to seeing you in the future.

"Nice little hotel near a lot"

I'm here today 7/8/18 on business. The hotel is not crowded at all, which I really like. It's about 5-10 minutes away from major shopping, and I just got back from the movies. The hotel itself is kind of dark, but the rooms are comfortable, they are clean and they have plenty of charging ports. I typically roll with a laptop, 2 phones and a tablet, and I didn't have to have a brick with me to charge the phones and tablet, which is a bonus. I would stay here again, especially if it continues to be this quiet.

"Great stay, comfortable beds"

Check in and check out was easy and quick. The room was very clean, the floor was very quiet. The bed was very comfortable. The two issues I had was there was no ice machine on my floor and the breakfast was all gone when I went down because of the soccer teams that were there. But overall a great stay and will stay again.

"Easy access!/Lättåtkomligt"

Good place, good location. The staff were very professional, recognized us as members. They recommended good sightseeing and good restaurants. There were a couple of good restaurants within walking distance from the hotel.Breakfast was ok./ Bra ställe, bra läge. Personalen var mycket professionell, välkomnade oss som medlemmar. De rekommenderade bra sightseeing och bra restauranger. Det fanns ett par bra restauranger inom gångavstånd från hotellet.Frukost var ok.

We had a wonderful stay at the Best Western Plus Coliseum/ Greensboro. It was clean, comfortable and convenient. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the breakfast every morning. A good variety of foods were available.

this was a 1 night getaway .. I love this hotel staff is always friendly.. can use a little rug shampooing or replacement but that is minor and an easy fix everything else was great. Close to good food shopping and highways

"Good value, good location"

Had an issue with the toilet running after a flush but otherwise the stay was good. Breakfast was decent and room was very comfortable with work space, refrigerator and microwave. Staff was very friendly.

"I tried!!!!!"

I was excited that I found a Best Western Plus on my app for the area because usually the plus hotels are very nice. The hotel looked fine on the outside. The staff was really nice. The young lady was very helpful and tried her best but I could not handle staying there. When I entered their elevator and it closed I started to feel sick instantly. I tried to look past that there was a smell. I went to my room (2nd floor) and when I walked in the bathroom, it smelled like it had been cleaned with a nasty mop. I could not get past that smell. I had the front desk lady come in and she verified the smell. She had me look at 3 other rooms. The room on the first floor looked clean and smelled OK but the housekeeping ladies were across the hall and were extremely loud and I needed to go to sleep. I checked out the third-floor and it smelled. She had me check out one other room and it smelled fine but as I was in the room my body started to itch really bad. I started looking around the room and the sheets were very dingy looking and then I started to feel really sick. I had to leave! I don't know if it's mold and mildew deep in the walls or if it's the combination of them not cleaning properly with the carpet and the upholstery and linens but my body was in panic attack mode. I have never had a reaction like that at a hotel but once. Honestly from smelling the bathrooms in a couple of the rooms and how they stunk and because of the dingy sheets and pillows, that I saw in the rooms and the smell in the elevator... I don't think it's a very clean hotel. I cannot stay at a hotel where they don't care about their guests. My room has to be completely spotless. I want things to be scrubbed and cleaned. I don't want to catch cooties from anything especially a room I'm paying for. Towels and sheets should be fresh and clean and white with no stains or dinginess. Floors should be cleaned properly with a fresh mop and a room should have either no smell or a light clean smell. People have severe allergies and all precautions should be taken, to take care of all guests!!!! I hope that this will help management realize the issues that's going on and that they can fix the things that need to be taken care of before something bad happens. The rooms are nice size and they're nice to have a bed with a sofa, chair, and microwave. The bathroom sink is nice and spacious. They just need a lot of TLC and/or possible renovation if mold, mildew, or bugs are found.

"Near highway"

Was convenient to the highway. Clean, comfortable room for the night. Breakfast was free with room and included fresh fruit, pastries, scrambled eggs, sausage, cereal and yogurt. They also had coffee and juice.

"Friendly staff, comfortable stay"

I have reviewed this hotel in the past, and rated it 5 stars, because for what you pay for you get a comfortable bed, clean room, cozy stay, and the help of a friendly staff. I just wanted to write this review to thank the man at the front desk, I believe his name was Norman (worked the midnight shift Friday 2/23/18). After a long drive in which I was delayed by much traffic, unlike other hotels I've been in, he was a pleasure to deal with for a 2 AM check in. He had a great personality, and was able to start my stay off on the right foot. He was helpful, and I hope others have given him recognition. Thanks for another quality stay at your hotel. My only comment this time besides giving Norman 2 thumbs way up, is to make sure all rooms have a “do not disturb” hanger. Ours was missing, so we had to make one out of paper haha.

"Nice stay, good price"

Checked in on a rainy night. Little did we know our favorite restaurant, Darryls was next to our hotel. It could not have been 300 feet away and after driving all day, the last thing we wanted to do was get back in the car to go out to eat. The beds were comfortable, the room a large size and the hotel was quiet and clean. The sofa was a little tired, but it was a great price and good location, Breakfast was tasty, I had never seen a pancake maker before. Different but good. Will stay here again when we come through this area.

"Will never stay here again....."

Upon check-in, they had 3 female, 1 male in a KING size bed! Went downstairs to request a different room - they told us they had one with 2 full size beds but we could only have it for Friday night - fine - Get moved to that room - NO hot water and the tub doesn't drain - maintenance guy comes walking in WITHOUT knocking - we hadn't even report the problem yet!! Get hot water by Saturday evening and end up being able to stay in the room for the weekend, which was great. Room and hotel were clean otherwise - staff a little snarky - this is not the first time we have had problems with a Best Western.

Mary Lou B, General Manager at Best Western Plus Greensboro/Coliseum Area, responded to this review
I am so sorry that your experience was not what it should have been. We do take all feedback very seriously and I can assure you all concerns will be addressed. We value your business and hope you will return so we can show you that what you experienced is certainly not our norm.. Thank You, Mary Lou B.

"Really nice room, especially for the price."

The room itself was a little narrow but the space was well utilized. Nice couch with good view of the TV. Large dest to work from. All in all I would stay again. And food nearby. My favorite part was that it was quiet.

Guest room was clean and had all the items we needed except the facial tissues - only a few in the box. THE HOTEL was quiet and we were able to rest comfortably. We enjoyed our stay and plan to go back in the future.i

"Free Night Stay!!!"

I would definitely recommend this location, very clean, great location and easy to get to.The gentleman that checked me in was very friendly and engaging.the beds were very comfortable, the room was set up very well. The book in the room supplied all the questions I had and more.

"Corporate lodging friendly"

If you appreciate a hassle free check in with a host that knows what they're doing then look no further, This place is A+ with a breakfast bar that serves pancakes that are unbelievably good, lol. very clean and convenient to everything Greensboro

"Great Place to Stay"

Overall great experience. The winter weather event was a challenge for traveling. The staff made our stay a great experience. The facility is well kept, clean and comfortable. The free breakfast is a very nice treat. Hot coffee and tea in the lobby area with comfy seating --- nice touch!

"Spacious Rooms"

Convenient location to the Greensboro Coliseum Complex and Four Seasons Town Center. Easy navigation from I-40 with ample parking. Smooth and pleasant Check-in. Crisp, clean lobby area and the rooms are very spacious with comfortable furnishings.

great hotel value. best breakfast of any chain hands down. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. the company I work for now uses this hotel exclusively for all employees traveling. stay here 3 nights every week and would not stay anywhere else. save your self the searching. this is the best hotel for the money hands down in Greensboro nc

"Nice budget hotel"

My family stayed two nights when we were in town for a swim meet. The hotel is in a convenient location, is very clean, and the rooms are quite large. We liked that we could walk to places to eat and the local mall is not far away.

"Pleasantly Surprised!"

I was in town for a conference at the Koury Convention Center and Sheraton Hotel. I go to the same convention each year and usually stay at the Sheraton but this year opted for a cheaper hotel. The only thing cheaper about our stay was the price. The Best Western in Greensboro was hands down better than any standard room I have stayed in at the Sheraton for many years. At the Best Western, the rooms were bigger cleaner and more accommodating with amenities like microwave, refrigerator and small sofa in the room. The inconvenience of not staying in the convention Hotel went totally unnoticed by me due to the quality of the stay at the Best Western. And the best part ... IT WAS STILL LESS MONEY! I would definitely use their facility in the future.

"Family obligation"

I really enjoyed my stay at a clean, quiet, and well appointed hotel after a very stressful day. I checked in quick and went to my clean and comfortable room. The room was just what I needed to recharge and get ready for the next day. A very nice quiet and comfortable stay.

Mary Lou B, General Manager at Best Western Plus Greensboro/Coliseum Area, responded to this review
Thank you so much for your kind words. It is always such a pleasure to know that we have made someone happy. Hope to see you in the future. Safe travels :) Mary Lou B.

Great hotel. Great service. I enjoy staying at this hotel as it is clean and customer service is excellent. It is a great location just off the interstate and there are many local places to eat and many within walking distance.

"overnigt stop"

It was easy access to and from highway. Clean and quiet. Friendly staff. Breakfast was good and dinning room was clean. Would stop here again on our next trip south. Had a restful night. good location.

"Very poor guess service"

Had no water in the whole hotel, when finally got fixed water was dirty, we tried to fill our Jacuzzi but started to get moody so we went to from desk and ask if someone could clean it for us because we wanted to use it after dinner, and the guy told us he can only give us some towels to clean it our selfs, we paid $300 for a suite that we could not use the Jacuzzi, very disappointed

Mary Lou B, General Manager at Best Western Plus Greensboro/Coliseum Area, responded to this review
I am so sorry that you had a bad experience while staying with us. I understand that the water being turned off was a huge inconvenience for you. Unfortunately the City of Greensboro was working on a line and hit the Main line causing it to shoot several feet in the air and thus the water line had to be repaired which is of course why the water was turned off for a few hours. I do understand that your tub was dirty once the water was turned back on but as I am sure you know when you returned from dinner your tub(s) were both clean. I did go up to your room personally and made sure that happened for you. Again, I do apologize. Thank You for your review. Feedback is very important to us. Mary Lou

"Good and okay"

The rooms are nice, the breakfast and internet access is good, the staff is ok. The lady that checked me out was nice, the one that checked me in was good, but the very early morning lady seemed very grumpy. Plus being at a the highest tier with BW Membership, there was no acknowledgement of my membership.

"Clean and convenient property. Good value."

Conveniently located 10 minutes from the airport. Property was clean and nicely maintained. Staff was courteous and helpful with directions and suggestions on area restaurants. Room was clean and spacious. Bed very comfortable. Complimentary breakfast available.

"Comfortable and friendly"

As we arrived for check in, the phones were ringing off the hook and the lobby was quiet of traffic. We didn't use any amenities during this trip but know that the pool as well as the gym was available. The pool seemed well kept and safe. When we arrived in our room it was clean and smelled fresh. It was stocked and easy enough to adapt to. The only issue was with Rest room vent fan. I have a teen that goes regularly. To evacuate the room every time he uses the restroom is inconvenient to say the least. The air conditioner was great and late check out was offered due to our late selves. A good clean average hotel that has a lot of friendly people on staff to help.

"Love the property"

This property is great. Staff always helping especially the young man that work at night. Rooms are clean and pool area is good. I will stay at this property again. Very nice and very good service. Check

"Very good overall"

Enjoyed my stay here. Nothing fancy, but good location and good service. good hot breakfast too. I would stay here again but would definitely request for an upper floor not on the ground hearing everyone going to the pool or to breakfast.

"Best hotel"

Every time I stay it is always the best, from the door to the room. Very clean and great food. I come there because my son is a an A &T student. I will continue to use this hotel. It is also located near great restaurants and other activities

"Great Week at YMCA Nationals!"

We're here for a week at a swimming completion and cannot say enough good things about this hotel! Perfect location. Excellent amenities. Helpful staff. We have travelled the country for our kids' events and would return here in a heartbeat!

"Enjoyed our stay!"

We stayed 2 nights here. The staff was professional in both appearance and how they conducted themselves. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We liked the USB ports so easily accessible on the bedside table. We will stay again when in the area!

"average room"

clean and comfy room for the price. It is not fancy, but it's clean. We needed a clean room, and that is what we got. It was the cheapest room we could find without going to a flea bag motel. We did not want to spend over $200 for one night, so this was fine.

I have stay in this motel the last four years that I have attend this conference and really like it. This was the first time I have had and problems. Example: the microwave was missing and when I told someone they place one back the room but did not plug it in.

"Nice stay"

Nice stay. Weekday rates are good but weekends are pricey. Breakfast buffet is just average and could use a better pastry and fresh fruit selection. Room was clean and nice beds and staff was great. We had our dog with us and they hit us for $20 a night for her which seems pricey also. Other places don't charge at all.

"Hotel to stay at while attending area concerts."

I don't get to Greensboro very often, I come to see shows at the Greensboro Coliseum. When I first started coming I stayed at several different hotels, but none I booked again. When I came across the this Best Western I saved it to my favorites and I stay here every time I'm in town.

"great service"

very good service and very good staff.very helpful and very nice rooms.I will recommend this place to all my family and friends.Very good service and keep it up.Thanks to all the front desk staff, security staff , house keeping staff and breakfast attendant for their great service..

"Best Western Greensboro NC"

This hotel was beautiful and clean... Location near the event... Fully stocked room... However if you like taking selfies... The lightning is horrible... Mood lighting made the room sorta dark... My only complaint I was impressed... Thanks Best Western

"Nice hotel great location within walking distance to a few restaurants"

A nice hotel that is conveniently located off I-40 and within walking distance to a few restaurants. My wife and I were in town for a family reunion. We like the decor of the lobby as well as the room.

We stayed there two nights June 19 (room 103)and June 24th( room 105). The staff was nice and the location is really good. Nice places to eat close by. The place is being run into the ground. Someone had put a lot of money into. The carpet in the room 103 was so dirty. That when I walked across the floor three times while getting dressed and my socks bottoms were black! Our stay on June 24 was worst. The floors were just as dirty, in the bathroom, the shower wall is cracked, the curtain rod is coming down, the tub needs to be caulked, and the toilet seat ready to fall off.

Mary Lou B, General Manager at Best Western Plus Greensboro/Coliseum Area, responded to this review
I am so sorry that your stay was an unpleasant one. We do try very hard to please all of our guests and unfortunately we did not do so this time. I appreciate your comments as they will help us do better going forward. I assure you the issues you describe have been addressed and certainly are not the norm. Again, I am very sorry that your experience with us was not what it should have been. Thank you, Mary Lou

"Staff was great"

I have never stayed in a Best Western and was very skeptical because we "had" to stay in team hotel. The staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. Room was clean and more spacious than I anticipated. We are in hotels weekly and I am very picky about where I stay. This hotel did not disappoint me at all. In fact, it exceeded my expectations.

"Enjoyable visit"

This is a convenient location. The breakfast room has enough space to be comfortable; nice variety for breakfast, including pancakes instead of waffles one morning. The room was clean and comfortable. We would stay there again.

"College visit"

Fit the bill. Room was comfortable, breakfast was what expected. Visited 2 nearby colleges if end up attending either will definitely stay again. Did a week of similar types of hotel and one of the best of the week

"Dead spiders, bloody sheets, flooded bathroom."

The worst place I have stayed. First night had dead spider in bed and fresh blood on sheets, drunks hanging around front entrance drinking beer and smoking, partying at end of hall, air conditioning was the pits.

"Great place to stay, will stay again!!!"

Hotel was very clean, the check in and check out was very easy and quick. the room was spacious and very clean. The front desk staff was very friendly, especially Cameron. He was very helpful with directions and had the warmest smile. He made us feel very comfortable. I like that there were great restaurants within walking distance. Definitely will stay again. It also was right down road from the Greensboro coliseum, which where we were going.

"uncomfortable bed"

Poor quality sheets and pillows. Had to have key card reformatted first thing in the morning. Had to reconnect to the internet with a passcode several times in 2 days. Staff was very nice. Good location.

"Fine hotel"

We stayed two nights over Memorial Day weekend. We booked online and requested an upper floor room away from the elevator, which we did receive; however, we also booked a King room with a sofa bed but received a room with two double beds. This was mostly fine; the double bed was a bit small for my husband and me but my son appreciated sleeping in a bed rather than a sofa bed. The hotel seems to have been updated fairly recently. The lobby area is small but was fairly clean. Only one elevator, but that was not an issue. The hotel does allow pets, which we did not know when we booked it, but all the pets we saw were very well behaved. The breakfast was standard chain fare, but there was fresh fruit, greek yogurt, oatmeal, and healthy (-ish) toppings (raisins and walnuts), which was much better than some other chains/locations. Overall the place was fairly clean - rugs could have been better vacuumed, and there was some trash in an odd cut-out next to the sink (easy to miss location) in the room, as well as some large gashes on the wall near the window (?). The room A/C was not too loud and we slept reasonably well. At checkout I was asked if I wanted a receipt; I asked if one would be emailed and was told that it would, so I declined. However, I did not receive an emailed receipt. Overall, the hotel was very solid but the administrative side needs a little work.

"Weekend at the Best Western in Greensboro"

We were in Greensboro for a family wedding. We normally stay at the Drury Inn, which is across the street, but the wedding party had booked a block of rooms at the Best Western for their guests, so we stayed there, and were comfortable for the most part. We had reserved a king room, were told when we arrived that there were none available and were given two double beds. We had a mini-suite, with an archway dividing the sleeping area from a small sitting area, which also included a small microwave and refrigerator. It was very clean and spacious, with a nice bathroom that was well stocked with towels and toiletries. I used the fitness room, also very clean, with all equipment in good working order. We also used the business center and had no trouble using the computer. Breakfast was okay, typical motel food, and the attendant was working hard to keep everything stocked. The breakfast area was quite crowded, as the hotel was sold-out, with it being graduation weekend at Elon College. Some suggestions I would make: the room needs more light, especially near the full length mirror (had a dickens of a time seeing to put on makeup); there were no blankets in the room, and the room got quite chilly at night, as my husband likes the room cooler than I do, and we had to sleep in separate beds since we didn't get the room we reserved; there needs to be a fan or some type of ventilation in the bathroom so that the room does not get so steamy when we showered; and there also needs to be a rubber mat or rubber strips in the tub, which got very slippery. We travel to Greensboro periodically to visit family, and will probably return to the Drury Inn, since for the same price as the Best Western, we get breakfast and dinner, and they have an indoor pool. But we basically enjoyed our stay at the Best Western, and I would recommend it as a good place to stay.

"so wonderful! helpful, too!"

amazing service, wonderful staff! we traveled here for a gymnastics championship and had an incredible stay! very thankful for the amenities as well as the helpful staff! we will definitely return upon visiting Greensboro again! Thank you!

"Great value!"

The lobby and rooms were very careful. The hotel staff were friendly and efficient. The breakfast was okay. The waffles went quick that morning and took some time before it was refilled. I appreciated the additional hot items at breakfast.

"UNCG Parents' Haven"

The staff at the Veasley Street location and the quality of the room and hotel itself, NEVER disappointed me once in over four years. When we went to SOAR, all of the other parents I spoke with, had nothing but horror stories about the places they were staying, but I couldn't have been happier. I guess they had shopped by price and got what they paid for. They should have a UNCG banner hanging over the front door.

"Horrendous conditions"

We booked 2 rooms back in I believe February, 2017, to accommodate us in MAY, 2017 for our daughter's graduation from UNCG. NEVER IN THE TIME BETWEEN RESERVATION MADE, AND ARRIVAL, WERE WE NOTIFIED OF RENOVATIONS BEING DONE. WHAT A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE TO BE HOUSED IN A FILTHY HOTEL- An Absolute disgrace and amazing you can charge customers to stay in conditions like we experienced.

"Greensboro stay"

Very nice stay, great value for what was given... The bathroom however could use a fan; Breakfast OK -better than some. Room was nice. sink however was rather tall and air conditioner somewhat obstructed by bed area Would recommend and stay in again....

"My Experience at the Greensboro Best Western"

I had a pleasant stay at the Best Western. The staff was very professional and knowledgeable. The Breakfast buffet was a great feature; very delicious with a wonderful variety and very convenient when I didn't want to go out.

This Hotel is a great place to stay while in Greensboro NC. The staff is extremely helpful and the amenities are good. Bring your own pillows cause theirs suck. The breakfast was good for the value charged. If you do not partake then there a plenty of local restaurants close by.

"Best Best Western Ever"

We stay at lots of Best Western Hotels across the states, this one was hands down the best I've seen in a while. I was impressed. Very clean you could eat off the bathroom floor, staff went out of their way, and the food was great.

"Outstanding Accomodations at Affordable Price"

My positive first impression was influenced by the "upscale" lobby and the professional staff person at the check in desk. The room was tastefully decorated including high quality linens and a very comfortable bed. Our stay was very enjoyable.

"No hair dryer"

Staff is friendly and hotel is fine, just bring your own hair dryer as the one in your room may be missing and this hotel will not provide one for you and you will have to go out and buy one. Great location.

"Unexpected hotel location"

I registered on website for location on Market street near Greensboro college. I wanted to be able to walk to my college reunion and places near it. I drove around and around looking for hotel only to find it did not exist. I finally realized even though I used Google maps to locate hotel and clicked on it to go to website to reserve a room at that location, my reservation was transferred to a hotel over 5 miles away from the hotel I chose to stay. I had to change my plans and my schedule. I asked the desk clerk why this happened and told him I was upset. He did not provide an answer and was very indifferent to my concern. I use best Western at least twice a year. I will no longer be choosing best Western for my stays.

"Great but ask not to be on highway side"

***Good price. Clean. Friendly staff. Close to restaurants and shopping mall. Upgraded to Suite by friendly office staff. Breakfast was nice and with all types of goodies. I would recommend to anyone.

"Clean and Reasonably Priced"

This is our 3rd time staying at this hotel and each time the staff has been friendly and the rooms are clean. The suite is large and reasonably priced. They offer a complementary continental breakfast and it is close to restaurants and the mall. The hotel is also a short drive to downtown Greensboro.

"Not a good night's sleep"

We booked two double beds for three adults, but were given one king bed and told no other rooms were available. To make matters worse, there is a parking lot next to the hotel where a tractor trailer idled loudly all night right outside our window.

Mary Lou B, General Manager at BEST WESTERN PLUS Windsor Suites, responded to this review
I am so sorry that your stay with us was not a pleasant one. We do try very hard to accommodate all of our guests needs. "Nice place to stay "

This hotel is very nice, bed was very comfortable, although the one side of the bed was too close to the heat/air conditioning unit to be able to walk on that side. The staff did a wonderful job at check in/out. The drawback, NOISY, lots of door slamming and hallway noise.

"Not the best at all"

The heating a air didn't work right in the room, it was either super hot or cold.NO pull out couch like the website said. The best seemed old. The bathroom needed some work. I will not stay here again. Breakfast was ok.

I am so sorry that you did not have a good experience while staying with us. We do try very hard to please our guests and I am so sorry that we fell short during your stay. I want you to know that we do address all concerns and take all feedback very seriously. Thank You, Mary Lou

"Great Place"

Clean and updated staff was so friendly and helpful. Nice lobby and room. Would definitely stay again and recommend. Breakfast was well presented much better then the other Best Western in Greensboro.

"Convenient, clean and helpful"

This Best Western Plus is convenient right off I 40. The staff is helpful and attentive. My stay was quiet and the room was very spacious and clean. There was several restaurants and gas near by. I would recommend it to anyone.

"Horribly Unprofessional"

I had made reservations at this hotel in July. I then cancelled those reservations as my boss informed me that we would be selecting a different hotel. Just last week the AGM at this property called me and asked me if I wanted to cancel my reservations. I explained that I didn't know what he was talking about (the reservation had been made 3 months prior). I went back through some notes and realized that this was one of the bookings I had cancelled. I called back and this ignorant AGM told me he was going to charge me for the rooms anyway because he didn't have a record of the cancellation number. Not my fault he didn't have it and not my fault he never gave it to me. I know the booking was cancelled because I had cancelled bookings at several other hotels in the area as well.

"Worst Assistant Gm ever"

I stayed here during the evacuation of Hurricane Matthew from Savannah. After checking in, he pulled me to the front desk to tell me that because of the"vicious" nature of my dogs, he was suppose to ask us to leave. He then told us we had to use the stairs when taking them in and out, mind you we were on the third floor, and he did this in front of other guests!!! He stated this was policy which as you can see, the policy says nothing of this!!! When we got ready to leave, the housekeeper stated that she didn't know we had dogs because they were so well behaved. I called to speak to the GM and was told she was unavailable to help me, I was called rude, and among other things he hung up the phone in my face!!! The hotel is really wonderful, but staff like this will always leave a bitter taste in one's mouth.

Mary Lou B, General Manager at BEST WESTERN PLUS Windsor Suites, responded to this review
I m so sorry that your experience with us was not what it should have been I have addressed all the issues you speak of to make sure that this will not happen in the future. I truly do appreciate the feed back. Thank You, Mary Lou B.

"Exactly what we expected"

Great room, looked just like the pictures online. Wonderful location with very nice restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. Had the Jacuzzi room and it was great for our weekend get away. Very comfy bed.

"Did not deserve 3 AAA stars !"

Although location for this Hotel was good , it disappointed me : the in room coffee was yuk;some of the so-called 'breakfast items' tasted terrible ( the bagels and some of the muffins smelled and tasted like they had been stored next to cleaning chemicals !) The bathroom vent was not working. The room smelled of strong cleaning chemicals and urine when I first walked in - I nearly gagged.... All in all, it was NOT WORTH the $100 per night that I paid...

"nice but not comfortable"

Friendly staff but room left a lot to be desired. Bed uncomfortable and was too close to wall and window unit. Breakfast was okay but not diabetic friendly: items were "hidden" so you didn't see the microwavable sausage biscuits, and that was the only meat offered.

"Great Stay and Staff"

The hotel was a nice place. The internet was a little slow and the staff was very nice especially James he showed great hospitality and Front desk Manager was nice as well. I encourage the hotel to get better internet and I hope the next time I come the breakfast area will be a hot buffet breakfast

"Clean and Quiet but bring your own water"

Overall great hotel for the price paid. Hotel looked good inside and out, plenty of parking. Breakfast was just above average with extra items for the microwave, choice of pancake or waffle, room was quiet and clean with nice decorations and everything worked. Internet was very bad and kept losing connection. Location of hotel is good and several restaurants next to hotel. The main problem for me is they do not sell water in the hotel vending machines and you have to drive if you want water. Otherwise very nice hotel.

"Excellent accommodation"

The staff was exceptional. We stayed at 5 different Best Western's over the course of a little over a week, with 4 children from 16-5 years of age. This was the best hotel of them all. Outstanding service & well run comfort.

"Great Place To Stay"

Great staff, very nice hotel. Breakfast bar was set up nice and the fitness center has a wide range of equipment. I stay at this hotel everytime I go to Greensboro to see my daughter at UNCG. Convenient to many attractions and right across the street from a very nice mall.

"messed up reservation"

total mix up on my reservation never was resolved, had a suite reserved upon arrival had only one room. hotel full, had 18 year old grandson, an hour later called and had room. Visit cost twice as much as my reservation called for,.

"Best Western"

This is a very nice hotel. Not too expensive and walking distance to nearby restaurants. This may be my go to hotel whenever I visit. Hotel staff, from the greeters to the great room servants was superb. Excellent place to stay and highly recommended.

"Home away from home"

I've stayed in Five Star hotels that did not make me feel as welcome as the caring and wonderful staff here at the Best Western Veasley Street! They helped me get thru the very emotional freshman year of my son's college career at UNC Greensboro, and I know I will shed tears of gratitude and affection for them when we say good bye in May 2017 after our graduation stay.

"weekend college move"

Great hotel, right in the middle of everything you'd want to do. Friendly staff, clean, comfortable. Breakfast was better than most continental breakfasts I've had at other hotels. Don't expect a Shoney's buffet.

"One Night Stay"

This was a one night stay - very comfortable. We went to Winston-Salem for an event. Girls trip. Bad storm so had to leave event early. We were very tired when we reached Best Western and settled down quickly.

"It's the Staff that made it a Great Stay"

The rooms were comfortable and with a King / sofa pull-out, there was a lot of space for our three adults that shared the room. Breakfast had a good variety of food items and we really liked the options of eggs/sausage that we could heat for ourselves in addition to the hot & cold selections. What prompted me to write a review was the staff. When I called to make the reservation, which was quite complicated because of the total amount of people in my group, nights that they were staying, & different people staying together, etc. the front desk person (KerryAnn(?) took my requests, wrote them down, then called me back with ALL my requests fulfilled. Later, we had some problems on our end with departure plans. Again the front desk (James) understood our position and went above and beyond his post to assist us. Wow!

"Fantastic Place to Stay"

I along with 7 other of our coaches stayed at this property during our coaching clinic. The place is fantastic. Location, service, housekeeping, everything. Most of all, is the courtesy and respect shown by the outstanding front desk personnel. We made several changes and request and all were handled expediently and efficient. That group is exceptional, Best Western, you better keep those guys. My man James was the smoothest, the young lady who I'm sorry I didn't get her name, and the entire group are what all hospitality units should hope for. Job well done folks. Maiden High School will continue to use your property anytime we are in Maiden.

Good. The location was within close proximity to my conference and the price was much lower than the conference hotel so I was satisfied not having to pay a higher hotel cost for a little less class and everything else. In addition, having free breakfast (although I did not part of it) was a plus.

"very nice"

We did not know what to expect having never been to Greensboro, but my wife was pleasantly surprised that the stay was very nice and the price for the service we receive was very good. clean and even my kids had positive comments on the room and stay.

"Great place to stay"

I stay at this hotel every summer while I'm attending a conference. All of the staff are very friendly, great variety of breakfast foods, the rooms and hallways are quiet, rooms are clean, have a refrigerator and microwave, internet service is included. This is within walking distance of several restaurants and a mall.

"Great Place to Stay"

Best Western is a great place to stay. Price is great. Staff is very courteous and helpful. Best Western provides a great Breakfast. This hotel is located conveniently across from the Mall and the Koury Convention Center.

"Not Impressed"

Check in staff was non-communicative and very impersonal. Requested a rollaway bed to be delivered the following day. It did not come. Requested again the next day for a rollaway bed to be delivered, again it did not come. Requested on the third day for a bed and was led by staff to the linen room where we had to push it out and up to our room ourselves. Final bill reflected a charge for the bed on the 2nd night when we didn't get it until the 3rd night. Room service did not replenish toilet paper when rolls were almost empty. We ran out and called front desk to ask for more. Was told we had to come get it ourselves.

"Clean, Safe, and Convenient"

We had AAU basketball Nationals so we were there for a week. It was so close to the coliseum within just a few minutes. ( so this would be excellent for a concert stay) Close to restaurants and mall. Clean comfy beds and a small couch. ( mini fridge and microwave) Great outside pool, nice small breakfast, and great little workout room. Not fancy but a very nice decent play to stay.

"Great Stay"

My girlfriend and I visit to this hotel was great. Had a few issues checking in but the problem was resolved. We stayed in the whirlpool suite. Nice room with plenty of space. Although the hot tub jets did not have enough power as i thought it should. Overall we both was satisfied and had a great time.

Mary Lou B, Manager at BEST WESTERN PLUS Windsor Suites, responded to this review
Thank You for your kind words. I am so happy you had a good experience. We look forward to seeing you in the future. :)

"A nice place to stay"

We were down to visit relatives and ended up staying here. The workout room was nice and the equipment was is great shape. The room was average, it looked like the room may have been recently updated. The staff were professional and helpful. It was a good value.

"Overnight Family Stay"

This was our second stay at Best Western, but it had been 3 years since our first stay. It's decent for a one night stay; staff are extremely nice and helpful but we won't revisit here. The draw back was the cleanliness of our room and the hotel over all is a little out dated. The bathroom, on the towels, on the iron and throughout the room was long strans of blonde hair. The room seemed to be cleaned but with all the hair it couldn't have been cleaned thoroughly, hair every where is just gross! My children enjoyed the pool and the breakfast in the morning. Over all it's not a terrible hotel by any means but for a more comfy, cozy, updated chic feel this isn't the place.

"Overall okay. Needs some work. Nice people though."

My son and I stayed here - he for only one night, and me for 2 while he stayed on the UNCG campus for orientation. We had a 2-double beds suite (with a small sofa). H-wire messed up my reservations and we arrived to learn the hotel had no reservation for us. After a very long and frustrating call with H-wire, it got straightened out. Check in was fast once we got things worked out. We went out for some food at the Cook-Out down the road and then went to the room. The room was okay, clean, but definitely needs some updating, as it just seems a little worn out. The beds were comfortable though, and it was nice to have a small fridge and microwave. The A/C worked well, which was a relief, since it was pretty hot while we were there. We tried to turn on the TV but the remote didn't seem to work. I learned why when I opened it and there were no batteries. I called the front desk and the night clerk (working alone) said he'd send some up. He came himself with two AA batteries about 15 mins later. I was grateful, because I knew he had to leave the desk to bring them up. The only problem was, the remote took AAA batteries. Ugh. So I took the AAs down to the front desk and he had to go searching for a pair of AAA batteries. It took a long time, although I was grateful for his help. It's just too bad there was no one else on the property to help. Got the AAA batteries back to the room and they worked for about 10 mins and then stopped. I gave up and we went to bed. The next day I asked another clerk for a new remote and he got me one. It worked well and for the rest of my stay. We didn't use much in the hotel since we were so busy with UNCG orientation, but I did hear the night clerk saying to a customer that their pool was out of service until the next week. I was glad I hadn't planned to use the pool. Breakfast was marginal but it was good to have some basic food and coffee in the morning. I also made coffee in my room, which was good, but housekeeping failed to leave me more coffee when they cleaned up, so I wasn't able to make any in my room the next day. I liked the proximity of the hotel to UNCG - it is about 8 minutes away from campus. There were other hotels right nearby too, so there are choices. Also, I learned the Drury Inn & Suites (right next door) has a UNCG family rate which includes dinner, drinks and a hot breakfast, so I'll probably check that out next time I'm staying. Overall it was okay and I can't complain too much, but the few issues and the worn out condition of the hotel would make me look elsewhere next time unless I was able to get a really good deal.

"Competes with the big dogs!"

This is a very nice hotel. Beautifully decorated, large suites, comfy beds and pillows. Only drawback was the breakfast wasn't as good as some of the other BW's we've stayed at....not sure why? But, they had microwavable breakfast sandwiches instead of the fresh eggs, sausage, bacon and biscuits and gravy. Other than that, the place is great! Super friendly staff and great location.

"Clean and super friendly!"

This hotel has it all! It is convenient and easy to get to. The staff is outstanding. I can't say enough about how friendly and welcoming they were. The hotel was very clean and so was the pool area. The pool and the pool deck were very nice. We really enjoyed our stay.

"Great for an overnight stay"

My family, (husband and 2 teenage children) stayed Sunday May 29. It was close to the interstate. It was affordable and included breakfast, which was pretty tasty and typical choices you'd find at continental breakfast spots. The only thing about the hotel is double beds vs. queen beds. My daughter and i were pretty comfortable, however, my husband and son, not so much. A roll away bed might be the answer and there was plenty of space in the room for one. We would definitely stay here again.

"Not The Best"

Checked in to the hotel at 5:15 pm, while standing there another guest who had spent the night already came up and inquired about why his room hadn't been cleaned while they were gone. after a back and forth about the do not disturb sign, which was taken down by the guest around 8 am, he was told there was nothing they could do for him. i felt that was an unusual response and figured all the maids must have left for the day. i was given my key and went to my room to find it was not finished being cleaned, when the maid saw me she an another rapidly finished my room. my point of all this is that the front desk should have called house cleaning and had that other guests room cleaned, since house cleaning was still there. very poor customer relations.

"Race 13.1 Weekend"

The hotel was recommended on the Race 13.1 website and was in close proximity to the start/finish line for race day, so my pace partner and I decided to stay here. One GREAT draw, besides the proximity behind our stay, was the breakfast provided from 6:30-9:30 am (A great variety for all)! The room was quite, spacious, and the bed comfortable, pillows however are something to be desired! Overall a great stay for any length of stay!

The room was spacious. Mini-Suite. The king bed was very comfortable. I was not too thrilled about the air condition unit being so close to the bed because I am cold nature. The staff was friendly and the hotel was clean. I did not get to eat breakfast, awoke too late. The coffee, however, is wonderful. I am picky about coffee and like a good cup. Not too many hotels have coffee that tastes good, but this one did. Convenient location near lots of shopping and restaurants. I will stay here again.

"Nice overnight stop"

Nice overnight stop on our road trip. Location is near convention center, easy access to major roads. Room was large and comfortabvle. The AC unit was next to the bed, leaving insufficient room for middle of the night trips to the bathroom (which was BTW handicap acceccible). Clean, wifi, nice breakfast included, Free parking

"Great Service"

When we stayed at this hotel for the second time we were very pleased. We had outstanding service even before we arrived at the hotel Amanda Amick was friendly and helpful when making our reservation and promptly told us about the current promotion through Best Western. The rooms were spacious and we had plenty of room to feel comfortable and at home. This is my daughters second year in college and I have stayed in several hotels in the area and this is by far the safest and cleanest hotel yet. Their wifi connection has been excellent when away from school, and she is able to work while also being with family. Last but not least the student discount is much appreciated and I will continue to stay at the Best Western. Thank You

"Reviewing Best Western Hotels"

This hotel was definitely a "plus" offering free chips and fruit (available in the lobby) ll the staff were very polite and helpful; the sort of hotel I look for as I will be traveling more on business.

"One Night Stay"

Hotel very clean and friendly staff. There was a furniture convention in the area and Best Western was able to accommodate us for one night stay and offered a reduce rate. We are always travelling to Greensboro for my daughter attends the best University - North Carolina A&T State University.

Mary Lou B, Manager at BEST WESTERN PLUS Windsor Suites, responded to this review
Thank you so much for your kind words. We look forward to seeing you in the future. :)

"terrible service"

The "hot" breakfast consists of make your own waffles and an assortment of refrigerated items that can be microwaved. The shower water changed temp dramatically and often. Least impressive was the staff. When my ceiling sprung a leak in the middle of the night, it took forever for them to answer the phone. The next day, the asst manager argued extensively with me before reluctantly agreeing to compensate me adequately for the inconvenience of being awakened in the middle of the night by the leak. NOT impressive!

"My Experience"

Staying here was very convenient. The beds were very comfortable. The environment was family and business friendly. The breakfast was good. They rates were reasonable . The staff did not mind helping, they were very friendly, and ready to assist at any time. I enjoyed my stay. I will be using this hotel again in the future. I wish they would have snacks or a lite dinner for guest (like they used to). Overall, it was the stay was good!

"Weekend visit"

The hotel is clean and convenient. I don't know why people have left negative reviews. We were satisfied. The staff was nice and friendly. Our dog enjoyed it too! Just be aware that the neighborhood is a little sketchy.

"This room smells bad. No hot water."

We were booked into a room with known moisture issues. The room smelled damp and musty. My wife described it to smell like a cat litter box. I ask the front desk to move us; but they were booked solid. The gentleman at the desk toward me that was a leak in that room, the Sunday before we arrived. We moved into another room the next day. It was much better. We did not have hot water the first night and first morning we stayed there.

"Excellent hotel every time!"

I am a frequent traveler in the Carolinas and always hit this spot when in Greensboro area. It has updated décor, flat screens, granite. Comfy sheets. The leader here has trained the staff well, they are very down to earth cordial. Amanda at front desk made an impression with her sweet, southern style. Would highly recommend and just to let you know, it is a preferred hotel by PGA golfers when coming to local events. Have fun!

"Worst night of our lives"

This was my wife and I first weekend get away in about a couple of years. We checked in to our room. He had a room with a spa tub. As soon as we got into the tub. The ceiling above us started leaking into our tub. We called the front desk immediately. We got switched to another room which was way smaller than the room we originally had with the same amenities. Once we got settled the switch to the tub didn't not work. 2 and 1/2 hours of our romantic weekend wasted moving from room to room. Called the district manager. She basically told us if we didn't like it their to please leave her hotel. I do not recommend this place. We will NEVER come here again.

"3 C's"

Clean, Comfortable, Convenient Very clean facility with comfortable accommodations and conveniently close to conference, dining and shopping during my stay. I would recommend this Best Western to anyone staying in this area for business or pleasure.

"Nice room"

Room was good. Be aware 2 check if fridge is plugged in. Bed was comfy and pillows ok. Room was clean. Breakfast was lacking in choices, could have more but tge breakfast area was well taken care of and clean. Did not use pool or gym so can't review.

"Will be my go to place in Greensboro"

Clean updated rooms, with comfortable beds and a great shower. Staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast is nothing to write home about but it has your standard bagels and muffins to grab and go. very convenient Greensboro location.

"Not a bad place to stay"

I stayed here for 2 nights with my family during the holiday season. First room had minor issue with the toilet so they moved me right away. The staff that I encountered were all very friendly. I didn't sleep well, but I prefer a softer mattress. My children slept perfectly. The breakfast area was small but not crowded. Didn't make it to breakfast the second day.

"Great Stay! Very Clean, and friendly staff."

I was very impressed by how clean the rooms were. For the price I think it was well worth it to stay here. My husband and I also really liked that the room had a jetted tub in it. The staff was also very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family.

"Great Value"

The check-in staff was exceptional! I had the opportunity to enjoy dinner on Wednesday night and the staff was great!!!!! When I visit Greensboro I will be staying at the Best Western, your staff made the experience an enjoyable stay. In fact, I always was under the impression that the Best Western was below my standards, but after my stay at Greensboro, Best Western, I am evaluating my choices. When I travel to other conferences, I will consider the Best Western. The check-in staff was exceptional and set the tone for a great stay.

"Awesome Visit"

The hotel was extremely clean. The room was nice and spacious. The bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows. The linens were clean and amenities were helpful. Although it was just off a main street, it was very quiet. The parking lot was well lit and I felt safe when I needed to go back to my car. The breakfast choices were not varied enough for me but the hotel was close to restaurants. I did enjoy the available fruit and juice. The staff was very friendly and helpful on both check-in and check-out.

"Extended Stay"

I have been staying at this hotel for the past (5) months because of business. The staff has been very courteous and attentive. I would suggest this hotel to any short or long term traveler. Price & Amenities are very good.

"Wonderful stay"

The hotel is very clean and the room is very large. Bathroom is very comfortable to use. The bed is firm and nice. Breakfast has a lot of selections, and staff are very friendly and helpful. We will be back next time we are in the area.

"Going home"

Stayed here on our way to Fort Benning for our grandson's graduation from tank school and booked the same hotel going home. We were very satisfied with all of the service we received. We knew we would be back very late for our stay on the 20th so requested a late arrival notice be placed on our reservation. They were very responsive and we were surprised when we checked in on the 20th to be in the same room!

"Great place to stay"

The hotel was very accommodating to its guests. The amenities were great. One of our party commented on how much nicer our rooms were compared to those he had previously stayed in this year. The rate was very good to other hotels in the area. The staff was excellent. Very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Hotel is close to restaurants and shopping. Overall a very pleasant experience. I would hose the site first if returning to the area..

"A Comfortable & Convenient Place to Stay"

The Best Western Windsor Suites was a great place to stay for our family get together in Greensboro where we gathered to attend a play at Triad Stage. Our rooms were spacious enough, very clean & the bed was most comfortable. All the staff were so friendly & personable & made us feel welcome from check-in to check-out. We enjoyed sitting in the cozy lobby for awhile after the play. It was very conducive to relaxing, spending time together & making one have an "at home" feeling. The Security staff were exceptional! They were very professional & most helpful when one in our party lost some personal items. We would definitely return to this hotel in the future.

"Good value, comfort, and cleanliness"

This hotel is easy to find, immediately off Route 40. It's very clean, comfortable, and offers a good, basic breakfast. Our room had plenty of space for a couch, king-sized bed, and a desk, so we could spread out a little. It was also quiet all night long.

"Great Stay"

The Employee's where Very Friendley , They also Helped by letting us Check in alittle Early , Because of having a Sick Child . So I must say , My Stay was so great we Decided to stay another Day . I would recommend This Hotel to Friends & Family . It was Nice , Clean & again all the Workers where very Nice & Helpful .

"Concert for Taylor"

Went to see Taylor Swift Concert. Stayed two nights at hotel. Hotel was very nice in a good location. The price included breakfast, which was good. The room was very nice, just had one problem, but was fixed. The front desk staff was good not great. Yes if I was returning I would go back to this hotel. A special thanks to sales, Penny, who was very nice. EG, from Cary, NC

"Impressed with Hotel"

From checking in, to room quality and size, comfortable bed, nice desk set up for computer work, extremely helpful and friendly staff. Did not use breakfast, but coffee/tea in room was enough for me. Conveniently located to restaurants and shopping.

"Best place I have stayed at for the price"

I looked at the online reviews before booking. They were all true! The hotel is updated, clean, the staff was great and the variety at breakfast was really good. It was quiet. I will stay her again when passing thru!

"great stay for price"

Traveled with my cross country team and they provided 6 rooms for us at a great rate for the safety and quiet stay with a breakfast for our team. Perfect place to stay in a location close to the mall and nice places to eat.

"Very nice Rooms and Service"

We reviewed Hotels in this area on our way to TN from the east coast. The reviews were very favorable and we were not let down. We enjoyed our stay in route to TN and actually stayed at Windsor Suites on our way home as well. In short, these are really great suites and the price was well within our budget. We recommend Windsor Suites if you're in the Greensboro area.

"Great Hotel"

This hotel was very clean, comfortable, with nice amenities. Breakfast was not good. There were no options for me- as I cannot eat gluten or preservatives. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Internet access was great. There was a great deal of outside noise at night from the roadway- but I still slept ok.

"4 days stay was not so great"

This hotel does not meet the same standards as other best westerns I have stayed at the lobby bathrooms are in need of much repair and not cleaned very well. You can tell the hotel is being neglected as you walk the halls. The rooms are also in need of upgrades. I like the best western chain however I would not stay at this one again.

I stayed approximately eight weeks at this location working 3rd shift for a construction company. My whole experience was excellent. I appreciate the consideration they specifically showed me working the 3rd shift. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

"Overnight Stop"

We stayed one night at this property while on our way to the beach. Our room was clean and comfortable and the staff was very courteous. The room was quiet and well appointed. Our king room had a small couch and coffee table. My only suggestion is that they need a light by the couch. The lighting in the rest of the room did not provide proper light to read by while seated at the couch. I would not let this stop me from staying here again, though. It is a good value.

"no problems"

clean room, lobby, bathroom, nice exterior comfy bed odor free, good breakfast / nice selection perfect location good price helpful friendly staff easy to navigate website easy checkout good price for quality
