Very nice place and very clean. Check-in was easy and staff was friendly. Guests around us were quite loud but not hotel's fault. Only thing I didn't like was the bathroom door - didn't really close, not much privacy and very cheap. Room seemed a bit overpriced too.

We had a great time at this property. Loved the jacuzzi in the room. Close to good food and has a very friendly staff! The food could have been better, but no hotel breakfast is truly great. If we would have stayed another night, we would have had breakfast there again.

Very clean room, loved the decor! One of few hotels that offer adult-sized TV of over 40 inches. That was the bonus for me. Didn't have breakfast or use pool, etc. Front desk person was very helpful. I had to wait around 10 minutes to check in because no one was at the desk. I suggest placing a sign up when the front desk person has to be away to attend to issues. Other than that, everything was good. I would stay again and would recommend to others.

"Great customer service and an excellent breakfast"

Check in was a breeze by a courteous lady at the front desk. The property looked very sharp at first glance of the lobby. The room was very clean and looked renovated very recently. The only throw off for me was the restroom doors, which is why I give a 4 rating. The have a sliding door for the restroom similar to the ones you find for walk in closets. It is probably the weirdest door I have ever come across for a toilet! We had a toilet clog first thing in the morning with water dripping all over the floor. Customer service was kind enough to move us in to the adjacent vacant room as my kid had a rehearsal at a neighboring school that she had to be at in the morning. The breakfast is excellent. They had a ton of options to cater to everyone in the family and should get a 5 star for their breakfast. I'd stay here again in a heart beat, if I were to visit Grandville area again in the near future.

Clean, updated, and very accommodating. The breakfast was good and the staff were friendly. The location is convenient and right off the highway. Parking was easy. There is a little convenience pantry for snacks and forgotten items.

We have stayed here on 3 occasions. Clean well appointed rooms. Have had 1 maintenance issue with shower. But it was taken care of without a disruption. Pool tends to be cold. Breakfast is usually very good. Good place to spend a night.

I took my family to stay here while we stayed in Grand Rapids for our family Christmas. We were very pleased with our stay. The hotel is nicely appointed and was an excellent value for the number of amenities. The room had recently been updated and my children were comfortable on the sleeper sofa. The breakfast provided a lot of variety and it was evident that they took care in ensuring that the offerings were quality. We were most impressed with the staff. Very friendly. The manager on duty in the morning was so kind to my children. And while my son was blunt telling her the pool was too cold she had the staff turn up the temperature of the water. We were impressed with everything and would consider staying here again. Would also recommend to friends looking to stay in the area.

Check in was fast and convenient. Casey was nice, kind and veary helpful. Recommended places to eat, told me times of the breakfast and pool without me asking. As well he recognized my Best western Rewards status. The place is sparkling clean.The rooms are veary high end. Wifi is fast and the bed was beyond comfortable. Will definitely be returning for future business. Especially being less then 15 minutes from down town.

We had never stayed in a Best Western before. Since this was only a two star hotel, we were a bit apprehensive. However, the hotel was beautiful, the staff was great, and everything was nice and clean! We would definitely recommend this hotel

My boyfriend and I stayed here a lot before the renovations because we love a weekend getaway with a jacuzzi, it was exciting to see the upgrades that were done, VERY NICE!! Room was clean and well stocked and the breakfast was very impressive. Next time we go we will take advantage of the pool as well.

Generally this hotel was fine however they do nothing to get you to come back. We were in town for the Grand Rapids Marathon. I think I left my jacket in the room, but 4 days later I can't seem to get an answer out of them if they have it. Called the day after checking out and was told the room hadn't been cleaned yet so they will call me back. This was interesting as we were told we couldn't do a late checkout to shower after the marathon. Obviously they needed the room. Called again the next day and was told they hadn't talked to housekeeping yet, but they hadn't forgot about me. Here it is two days after that and no one has called. How hard is it to figure this out?! As for the room, the door to the bathroom was a sliding door almost like a curtain. It provided minimal privacy to do your business.

One of the best breakfast buffets I've experienced. Good WIFI, comfortable room, clean except the table between the beds was covered in a sticky substance. However, the manager had it cleaned for us immediately. We also had a problem with the lights in the same area, but she fixed it right away. We also enjoyed the hot tub. The bathroom was very clean.

No Bible in room. A lot of dust on several items Bathroom is dangerous as the shower curtain does not close good enough and water gets on the floor i slipped on it and got hurt! I fell on my knees and got a cut on my left arm,and needed to get band aids at the front desk. I was asked if I wanted to change rooms. I said my wife cleaned up the water on the floor so why change rooms at 7 pm!! I was not happy to say the least.

I loved the hotel. It was easy to get to and had a lot around it for fun. I used it for my wedding and had no real issue with any of it. The breakfast was so good with a lot of options to choose from.

Cute hotel with friendly staff. Came here for a concert. Everything was well kept and rather worth the value. Easy check in and check out. Usually cant seem to sleep in hotels but I managed. Best of all? They had animal planet on tv!

A little off the beaten path, but nice rooms and very affordable. We were on our way North and the normal hotel we used was booked up. This was our second choice, but it worked our very well. We had a good evening and woke up ready to travel.

The hotel is new and clean. The rooms are suites with two TVs. I did not care for the sliding barn door for the bathroom. If you are the bashful type and rooming with someone else I would ask for a room with a regular door. The staff was great and the location is near a mall and restaurants.

"Reunion Stay gone wrong-Will never stay at a BW again"

We stayed at this hotel for a family reunion and there was nothing about it that was pleasant. Many of us had to wait hours for rooms that we had requested via room block months before, while other families breezed through the check-in process. Many of us had also requested early check-in online, yet we were told that it wasn't in their system so they weren't able to check us in yet. That was only the beginning of our troubles. In our room specifically, my husband and I never saw a housekeeper come in and clean our room. Upon entering our room, I went to the restroom. This was not a #2. The toilet clogged up. We called down to the front desk to ask for plumbing. Not long after, a housekeeper came to plunge the toilet. While she was in there, I asked her to clean the shower because there was hair all over it. What happened next was astonishing! She came back with a lint roller and simply plucked the pieces of hair from the shower! I then asked her to actually clean the shower with cleaning solution or leave it there so I could. She finally cleaned the shower and that was the last time we had any form of cleaning during our stay, even though we had the sign on the door flipped to welcome them to clean the room. The staff was helpful, at first. Granted we had a lot of family at this hotel. They were not prepared to host an event of this magnitude. We rented the conference room for the whole weekend last fall, however, we were asked to leave one night because they had double booked, or so the employee said. She was rude and disrespectful to my elders. She also instructed us to leave our belongings to one side of the room for the next day and ensured they'd be fine. So wrong! We came back the next morning to find that our table cloths and the signage we had designed had been thrown away. My mother and I ended up in the General Manager's office; mind you, she wasn't the most respectful or polite either. She said she would speak to the Owner about how to accommodate us. No accommodations were ever made. In fact, it got worse. Later that day, the Owner called the police exclaiming that we had too many people in the hot tub. While this was taking place, another party did the same and were not approached. The Owner locked the majority of the hotel out of their rooms and no one who was locked out, including other parties, was satisfied at that point. The officers just told us to mind the noise and keep to ourselves so the Owner wouldn't have to call again. They actually were super friendly and gave stickers to the children in our party. The breakfast was okay. That is before their terrible front desk employee came and told us that breakfast was over and that area wasn't a social area. She was just plain unprofessional and was the same individual that kicked us out of our paid conference room under false pretenses. Also, the woman working in the breakfast location kept squeezing through the line to warm up the frozen food they were serving in the microwave and then dumping it in the serving pans. Most of the food prep was done right there in front of our eyes. Bottomline, this hotel is run by one family. The daughter was the manager at the front desk, the son was the only maintenance guy we saw (my Dad had to show him how to plunge their toilet properly) and we saw the Owner and his wife cleaning rooms. This hotel did not run on efficiency. Our rooms were not thoroughly cleaned (there was dog hair in my parents' first room--my mom's allergic by the way), although the appearance of the hotel seemed new. The plumbing in almost all of our rooms was defective and we all passed around the plunger they gave my husband when they told him he would have to plunge the toilet in our room himself. Needless to say, this was mine and my husband's second stay at a Best Western and it will be our very last stay in a Best Western Hotel.

Great hotel for a great price! Stayed two nights and was very pleased with this place. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly. Pool and exercise rooms were nice. Also is very close to downtown. Would highly recommend

Took almost 15 minutes to check in. Busy with only one person there. Showed a 15% discount email and was told it was no good since I booked online. No welcome getting as a preferred rewards member. No acknowledgement of such. Faucet leaked in room. Bed and such fine. A family reunion was there and as such noisy and crowded. Breakfast was okay. One person working and a small area food area. Trash over flowing, limited choices. To express check out offered. Oh well.

Free Parking, Wifi & Breakfast. Recently renovated/built. Guest laundry facilities. Very nice pool & spa area looking outside with natural light (closes @ 10p). Good wifi speeds. Location easy to find on 28th Street west of U.S. 131, or just east of I-196. Breakfast (scrambled eggs, bacon, oatmeal, fruit, yogurt, waffles, bagels, cereal) and juice/coffee offered 6a-10. Check in was slow, despite no one in front of us. Staff encountered was very friendly and accommodating. This hotel provided excellent value for the money paid. We were very impressed. It is a little further out from downtown than we prefer. However, the hotels we would normally stay at for a concert were sold out (also cost more btw). That being said, you had U.S. 131 around 5 miles away, and I-196 just around the corner. So it really was not much of a hassle to get back and forth all things considered. Overall, we really enjoyed the stay and wish we could have stayed a bit longer with the amenities offered. Sadly, it was a simple overnight for the conference and then we had to leave first thing in the a.m. for work. That being said, we will consider this property in the future as we attend many concerts at Van Andel over the course of a year. Recommended!

My son and I stayed there for a baseball tournament. It was a beautiful hotel everything was nice and new. Our second day there we were out of the room for the whole day. Upon our return late in the evening on our door was the Do Not Disturt sign. I never put it there. We were nervous going into our room not knowing what to expect. Our room had not been cleaned and our drapes were open which we left closed. There was also a note put under the door that they didn't enter because of the sign on the door. Who was in my room and what were they doing. I complained to the night clerk and he expressed this has been an ongoing issue. My son and I did not get a wink of sleep all night. Not sure if someone was going to return to our room. We had intended on staying an extra night, however we didn't feel safe so we left in the morning. Spoke with assistant GM and denied knowing anything about it. Expressed that his staff would never do this and came up with so many different excuses. Offered a 10% discount for not cleaning my room. I have stayed in many many hotels and I have never seen someone do this. What were they doing in my room. Sleeping? Stealing? And no one did anything to ease our fears. It was a beautiful hotel but poorly ran. Very unprofessional and I felt unsafe staying there.

This was easily one of the best hotels I have stayed at recently. It was clean and beautiful both in the lobby and the room. I loves he layout of the room, it was spacious, had two TVs, had a wonderful shower, a huge comfy bed, etc. The pool was really nice as well. The staff was very friendly and always made sure to make us feel welcome. I was unable to hear anyone in the rooms next to us or across the hall, which isn't always the case at hotels. I would 100% recommend this hotel and I would definitely stay there again!

It's brand new, that says it all. Excellent stay. Clean, quiet and comfortable. Beds and pillows are great, goid shower pressure, huge flat screen, room was spacious and put together well. I drive truck so parking works for that. Right off the highway, convenient and easy to find. Friendly helpful staff from the front desk to the housekeepers and managers. Definitely my new go to in the area. I was working, great for business. But it looks like a great place for families too, with swimming pool and hot tub. A good breakfast capped off a great stay.

My husband and I arrived looking forward to some much needed time away. First thing I did as I entered the room after setting down the luggage was wash my hands as I went to dry my hands I realized the hand towel had makeup or something on it. As I looked around the sink the coffee pot still had the used filter on it. We called the front desk and the put us in a new room. The young man at the front desk assured us he had checked it and it was clean. The first thing I noticed as he left was the old used coffee filter in the coffee pot, then the grape juice spilled in the fridge , the carpet had not been vacuumed and the bed looked like someone had made it then sat on it over and over. We called the front desk and they moved us to the third floor instead of the second. This room was clean. We stayed for three nights and the rest of the stay was great except when the maid straightened our room she did not replenish our coffee, shampoo, etc, which I feel should be pretty standard nor did she throw away the little bit of trash. They did give us 10% off I just feel it was still taken a little too lightly. The staff was friendly and the pool area was very clean and nice.

Had a late night last minute check in, and Alex at the front desk was amazing! Super polite and accommodating. We are modest no-frills people, so the room completely surprised me with how new and contemporary it was considering the extremely affordable price. Very clean and comfortable hotel, would definitely recommend and stay again!

The morning staff on 5/29 was fabulous. So helpful. The rep in the evening was new to the job & area. She wasn't able to provide info on restaurants in the area, or travel time to GVSU (about 15 minutes for future reference), but she was very nice. Management may want to have a "Nearby Ammenities" reference sheet for new staff & guests. The room was clean & the beds were comfortable. The sliding barn door for the bathroom didn't provide a feeling of privacy, but had great toiletries. The bathroom was also spotless - Kudos to the housekeeping team. Overall, I would stay again.

Loved having the extra room to move around. Room was clean and quiet just like we like it. Close to interstate and easy to get into Grand Rapids. We will stay again when in the area. Nice pool and work out area. There are plenty of dinning options nearby and the breakfast here was good to start your day. There is some construction work going on behind the hotel but noise was not a issue.

The hotel is a newer hotel ... the rooms are very well done and very quiet which was a HUGE plus. I will say the bed was ... not so great ... but I'm used to a wonderful foam mattress. The fridge was nice ... kept everything nice and cold, the extra room with the couch and second TV was fantastic. Breakfast is average ... nothing to write home about and if it doesn't strike your fancy there are a couple places right down the road to have a good breakfast. Staff are polite and helpful. Pool area was very nice, restroom in the pool area, foot and body showers ... nice. Pool was very cold though and most people gravitated to the hot tub. Relaxing pool once you were able to get in LOL. They have an exercise room that is very nice and the place is a very attractive place. Worth the money.

We stayed at this hotel for three nights during a recent visit in the Grand Rapids area. It was a great experience. The hotel is lovely with large rooms that accommodated a sofa bed and two large TVS. Our king bed was very comfortable - better than home! Noteworthy is the staff - what wonderful young folks they were. In spite of an elevator that was out of order when we checked in, the desk person who was on his own that day, made certain we didn't have to drag luggage to the second floor - did the honors himself. And, it was that way our entire stay - they were always friendly and went out of their way to ensure our comfort. Breakfasts were terrific - everything one could ever ask for and we greatly appreciated starting our long days with good food. We would love to return to this Best Western.

I was quoted a low price when I booked a room. Got there and the price had doubled. Luckily I had printed out the email confirmation with the original price quoted and the manager honored it. Bathroom could of been cleaner. Staff was very friendly.

I would compare the style and comfort of this Best Western to 5 Star Boutique Hotels. I stayed in a King Suite with my husband for two nights. The bed and pillows were unbelievably comfortable. The suite was stylish, clean and smelled good. I would also write the say for the lobby. The lobby was also stylish, clean and smelled fresh every time we walked in. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Definitely will be staying at Best Westerns in the future.

The rooms are great - very quiet. The breakfast is not good. Be sure to eat out. Pillows are difficult to sleep on (hard). Room is decorated nicely and the hotel was very quiet. Close to the freeway, so easy on, easy off.

Room was extremely clean - entire hotel was clean and safe - the front desk assistant was so much help / friendly - it's exactly what you would want when staying somewhere! Can't wait to go back next year

Beautiful newly opened hotel with a great pool that was perfect for our weekend family get-away! Lots of different choices for breakfast to satisfy picky eaters. Everyone from the front desk to the housekeeping staff was beyond friendly and helpful. Will be planning another weekend trip soon!

"Incidentals cost will kill you"

This hotel requires you pay the price of the room over again for incidentals coverage. Look out if you don't want $150 from your credit card frozen for a week! Holiday Inn doesn't charge anything. Go somewhere else.

This is a new hotel in grandville mi. Very very nice hotel. Great pool. A little cool the kids said. They really enjoyed it. Only 4' deep witch was good for us. 6 yr. old. And a 5 yr old. Good. Breakfast. I asked for a. Hcp. Room. Had a roll in shower with a lot of hcp. Rails. I loved it. Just what I wanted. Very happy with every thing.

"Great new hotel!"

We were very pleased with our stay. The hotel has only been open since December 2017. The king suite was extremely spacious with two large televisions. The staff was very accommodating, attentive and kind. Breakfast was good with eggs, bacon, cereal juice. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Quick visit as I just needed a place to crash close to the highway (I-196). I was traveling for business and decided to stop here. I was welcomed by a clean, modern, and warm environment - much appreciated during the winter storm! The employees were great, and told me that the hotel was recently opened. Everything in the hotel was in fantastic condition! I'll be there again next time I'm in the area!

Stayed here while visiting clients in Grand Rapids. Staff was very kind and helpful. Breakfast was very good. The King Suite ( I guess all the kings are two room suites) was beautiful. Large televisions and good internet. This hotel is a good value

"Brand New Hotel"

This was a brand new hotel when we stayed there. I wasn't blown away by the staff service but it wasn't bad either. Since it is new, I hope they take some traveler feedback. The hottub wasn't working when I stayed which was unfortunate but not a deal breaker. There wasn't a TV guide in our room so we had to spend some time surfing in order to find anything that we wanted to watch in our room. In the pool, a hook for towels by the shower area would have been nice. The pool was a bit chilly as well. On the positive side, the hotel is new and nice looking. The rooms were spacious. The Tazo tea that was offered in the room was a good thing. The breakfast contained great options and looked good. Overall an average experience but small ways to improve and make it great.

"I think it is new"

This is a beautiful hotel just outside of downtown Grand Rapids. My room was huge with a living room and a separate bedroom. Stand up showers so no yuckie tubs. It is either a new hotel or a hotel that was just completely renovated. The women at the desk was very helpful and the room was spotless. I normally do not stay at Best Westerns but I would stay at this one again if I come back to Grand Rapids

I stayed at this Best Western last night after discovering it while driving down the expressway. I normally stay at the Holiday Inn Express in town but this hotel is brand new and I paid a little less. Being new I was told it has new beds, all the king rooms are suites, and large tvs in the room. Breakfast was good and the lady at the front desk was very helpful. I will be staying here when coming to Grand Rapids going forward
