Best Western Geneseo Inn

Checked in late to room 201, woke up Saturday to horrible smell. Water damaged ceiling chipping off. Water streaks down walls. Bathroom has black mold on ceiling running down to tub pooling black water. Complained, received another water damaged room. Asked for refund, none given. Sent pictures,answered survey, ask for a refund. if you're looking for a reasonably priced room in a clean up to date hotel, this will fill your needs. The staff was nice and I think the hotel was recently remodeled. Everything in the room was clean and in good working order.

Brought up Best Western Geneseo, Illinois website- hit the "call" button. Made a reservation for 8/20 & 21. Got a call that my brother had died the same day. Called the number on the confirmation email to change the date so I use the dates for the funeral. Turns out, Best Western site takes you to a 3rd party contractor! After a week's worth of calling (you are currently number 482 & holding for 5 minutes the phone disconnecting not once or twice but THREE TIMES) I resorted to email. 1st email response was "if you can produce proof of the death, we can take it to our business partner. 2nd email - please send proof in a pdf format 3rd email we took it to our business partners and they are refusing the refund. STILL trying to get refunded. The morale is don't ever use RESERVATION STAYS to book anything...EVER! They block out the actual hotel employees from canceling or charging the original reservation

The people are awesome and always remembers my name. Pool is clean the room is always spotless. comfortable beds . Always hot water and a lot of channels on the TV internet always works. Breakfast in the morning is good. I'm usually gone before they open . Overall I enjoy my stays here.

Overall good stay but the gentleman that checked me in was not friendly and needs to work on his people skills. Location is good. The room was very clean. Price was fair and would consider staying again.

Great place it met all my expectations from the best western chain. I have stayed there two or three times since my first time and will make it my place to stay when I'm in the area the staff is very friendly.

We were so impressed by nearly every aspect of this hotel. A super reasonable price for a clean, spacious room and yummy, hot breakfast. One improvement to be made is better quality pillows. We will most definitely be back!

The room was nice but needed a little bit of cleaning. The breakfast was decent, but the room was cold. The night staff wasn't the greatest but the morning staff was amazing. Please beware that if you book with the Geneseo Inn, it IS the Best Western and you do not have to drive down the road looking for it even if the staff tells you to.

Reservations were mixed up. Toilet broke and would not fix. Gave us plunger when it was mechanical issues. Would not then give us different room. Morning staff should not be in customer service of any kind very rude. We were going to use facility for big event coming up in July but looking elsewhere cause this place sucks. Don't ever stay here. Horrible Guest Service.

We frequent Best Westerns during the summer months. This is the 3rd one we stayed at in this area. It was dirtier than the others. (The others were pretty clean) The staff wasn't as friendly. The breakfast spread was poor. They were out of simple things like syrup. The bed was horrible. Very hard. We will go to the other local Best Westerns.

Clean, welcoming rooms and warm staff make this hotel a great choice when staying in Geneseo. The room did have a slight musty odor, especially in the closet. Nothing that would dissuade us from using this Best Western again.

One of my favorite places to stay seems to be falling in hard times. Not sure what happened but went from a top notch hotel to a hotel with hallways that haven't seen a vacuumed in weeks and bugs in rooms and no maintenance done in a long time. Sad to see went from making inlets to for breakfast to a just ok breakfast. Sad to see I think I will move west to Davenport or east towards lasalle for hotels in the future

Most disgusting dirtbag person I've ever met... Was stuck getting the last room cause they were booked out after they told us there'd be plenty of rooms when we got there got stuck with the $180 sweet that whatever is what it is but then AC didn't work in the 80% plus humidity and 80ﾟplus outside. Refused to give us any discount bigger than $10 And kept saying they couldn't give any more back because it's a sweet as if that makes any difference at all nobody wants to stay in a room even if it's a presidential suite if it's doesn't have a working AC in weather like that. Absolute garbage place.

This is a clean hotel. It's located near food options and right off the expressway. Even though I saw a group of teenagers running the hall it was a quiet and restful sleep. Nice towels and linens and the soaps and shampoos were of good quality. I'll stay there again. A good example of a good Best Western.

The staff was friendly and helpful and the rooms and facilities were super clean and comfortable. I appreciated that breakfast was included - standard fair, but clean and well kept dining room. An excellent affordable option when you are in the Quad Cities region.

Very pleasant staff, hot breakfast with good variety of options to choose, room very clean. Easy to book on line. I would stay again if I am in the area. Hotel is easy to access off I-80. Free parking.

VERY clean room, EXCELLENT shower. convenient location just off interstate, but very little traffic noise.. shopping and restaurants very close. hotel was very quiet at night. staff accommodating. will stay here again if in this area

Our room was clean and smelled great. Everything was in working order. Coffee from breakfast coffee machine was good. Friendly, helpful staff. Would stay here again if I am ever in Geneseo. Is close to historic steakhouse!

I have stayed at several hotels in Geneseo. This is the best. It is clean, modern, very comfortable, friendly staff, quiet, reasonably priced, and in a great location. It is everything one could want in a Best Western. Geneseo is a wonderful, friendly and safe small town with gorgeous Victorian homes and a terrific restaurant (The Cellar). Don't miss the Geneseo Brewing Co. downtown and the peanut butter stout!

This was a very poor experience. We checked in late after traveling. We found dirty clothes/undergarments in the bathroom of our room. The person who checked us in had no remedy for the situation other than to remove them. She did not offer an alternate room or refund. I was unfamiliar with the area, and traveling with my elderly mother, making the option to leave and find different accomodations in a small town very difficult. I was told the manager would be in in the morning and would work with me. Upon checking out the next morning, and explaining the situation to the manager I was met with stubbornness, rudeness and no offers. This was the worst guest experience Ive had in a very long time. I would not recommend this hotel.

A clean room and a comfortable bed are the two most important things about an overnight stay. And this hotel did just fine in those categories. But the coffee was a standout. The breakfast area has an "instant brew" machine and it produced some of the best coffee I've ever had at a hotel. My husband agreed. And it was hot! The breakfast area was well stocked and had a good selection of pastries. I especially liked the shower at this hotel as it had good pressure and the tub had a no-slip bottom. There was also an exhaust fan in the bathroom. The front desk clerk brought a footstool from the lobby up to my room, when I explained I had a back problem and needed to elevate my feet. All of the staff was polite and helpful, except the front desk guy the following morning. We didn't have to interact with him directly, but we observed him being rude to other employees and unfriendly with other guest.

Always enjoy staying at this facility. Close to highway, close to restaurants and shopping. This facility is very nice, always clean, and staff are welcoming, helpful, friendly and kind. The beds are very comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel to those visiting the area.

Stayed here with family. Pool had larvae, spiders and centipedes swimming around, which tells me lack of cleaning and pool cleaners. Stayed on first floor, and floor above us was very loud. Beds are older, sagging and not comfortable. Wouldn't recommend.

Found the property to be very clean and staff helpful. I greatly appreciated that the bedside tables (both sides of the bed) included 2 electric outlets and 2 USB ports. This more than handled all my chargers and CPAP needs as well as my spouse. The internet connectivity was excellent. The pool looked inviting, I wish I had brought my swim suit.

Stayed here 3 nights. Always a great experience. Breakfast has been modified because of Cvid but still very acceptable! Very quiet, no traffic noise. Hotel staff very nice. Several local restaurants very close by. Sweet Pea's, Culver's, SubWay, Hardee's. and several more within a quick walk.

We stay here often while visiting family. Rooms are clean, towels are thick and fluffy and beds are comfortable. Easy on and off the interstate. Friendly service. Nice pool are. Pre pandemic breakfast featured cooked to order omelets and we look forward to their return. Interim grab and go breakfast is great.

Felt very welcome from initial phone call to place reservation while still driving towards Geneseo. Arranged for room close to door on first floor. Check-in was easy and front desk staff further explained easy, handicapped parking close to back door. Everything in order within room.

Very clean hotel throughout. Rooms are.updated and spotless. Front desk gentleman was very professional. Glad we picked this hotel. This is the second time we've stayed at this hotel. Will stay here again.

Traveling during COVID has its challenges, but this property met all my expectations for a clean, comfortable and socially-distanced stay. Our room was super clean and the king size bed was great! (My husband and I are both over six-feet tall so we know a good king bed when we find it!) Our Grab 'n Go breakfast was the best I've had during COVID. Our bags contained a bottle of water, two kinds of sweet rolls and fresh fruit. There were three kinds of yogurt in the breakfast room refrigerator, along with Jimmy Dean sausage and cheese breakfast sandwiches on either a biscuit or croissant to microwave. Coffee and juice dispensers were also available, as was hot water and tea bags. The pool was also open at the motel, when many aren't during COVID, and after a long day on the road it was great to swim a few laps to work out the kinks.

We spent one night here on a cross country trip. The location is great being near the highway. The room was large, clean and in very good condition. The staff was friendly and helpful. Had a wonderful stay.

Stayed two nights to visit family. Great greeting, clean room, comfortable bed and easy access in an out. The only issue we had was with the AC - had to turn it as low as it would to get a cool room. We didn't ask for assistance with this since we got it cool enough. We'd stay here again,

Stayed for one evening while power was out. Room was large, clean, and appeared to be recently updated decor wise along with the rest of the hotel. Very efficient person working behind the desk that day. Even with COVID restrictions, I felt they offered an above-average "take and go" breakfast to include quality food selections that could be heated up on site. Did not use the indoor pool but it was available to those interested. Hotel is locate right off interstate and in a great little community if you drive further up Oakwood Avenue toward business district.

Very nice place myself and all my workers like your place and we will come back to stay everyone is very nice and friendly service. Booked room online in Nov. Called that day and was told pets were allowed. Arrived with family for Christmas and told no pets allowed in the room I booked. Forced to rent two rooms. Was told they would provide a comparable rate to online price so I canceled the online reservation. After checkout charge was significantly more. Called hotel. Desk clerk was terribly rude, offensive and unprofessional and would not make adjustments. Had to leave a day early and also not willing to make adjustments. Said cleaning staff had left. However, while there hotel was not busy and saw rooms sit uncleaned for days. Asked for manager but was told he/she was out of the country. Would not recommend.

Have stayed at this hotel many times as it is the only available option where our kids live. This time the room was so hot that the door was propped wide open when we got there. We turned off the inroom heat and opened the window for awhile (it's winter here!) but sweltered through the night. In the AM we discovered there was no shower curtain! Knowing that there is minimal staff, we just let the whole bathroom get wet.

Our family often stays here. Three different groups of our family. This time we came to visit family at Christmas. There was no agent to great us and when they did they couldn't find the reservation and blamed their “new system.” Instead of offering to make us two new room reservations; they complained inappropriately about having to work on Christmas. We said, well we will see you Christmas morning. She snubbed us and we apologized and said we understood she would rather be with her family than us. She continued to complain. We had two other complains about the air in the room not moving/ aircon unresponsive and us needing an extra writing pad. Both times the agent made us uncomfortable threatening physical violence against the housekeeper for not replacing it and that someone didn't fix the aircon like they should have before she assigned us that room. We told her she made us feel unwelcome. Instead of just handing an extra pad of paper the agent would complain and cause massive scenes. We where also unsatisfied with the shower which was clogged with minerals and did not spray fully and the weird half pillows. I would not recommend this place to anyone. No one should threaten people with physical violence even jokingly. We seemed to be a massive inconvenience. It appeared only 6-10 cars were parked here overnight. They don't seem to want to keep or earn your business.

Upon check in, the front desk receptionist did not appear to be in a good mood. However, she was never rude to us and we had several conversations during our stay. The staff was very friendly, always saying “hello” when we passed them. The hotel was clean. The only complaint about our room is that my child found a squashed piece of candy that didn't belong to us behind the bed skirt. My child mentioned the pool was warm and had a great time swimming. Overall, it was a great experience

This is the perfect hotel for an overnighter or a couple of nights. The staff is super friendly and make sure you are taken care of. I was in town for a high school reunion and this hotel was super convenient. From the parking lot to the lobby, clean. Check-in was quick and painless. Room was exactly what i needed and clean. Will most definitely use them the next time in town.

We have a group of friends we travel with since we all met at WIU over 40 years ago. We select places we've never been to before and we selected Atkinson and Geneseo as new places to visit. We enjoyed how well we were all treated at the BW in Geneseo and we hope to return some day soon!

We were visiting family and normally stay here. The hotel is typically clean and the staff is friendly. The rooms while on the small size are comfortable. They have recently been painted and updated, they still to work on the beds they are not that comfortable but not to bad. Overall there are not many choices and this is not a bad place to stay. There breakfast is one on the better we have had with omelettes to order. I will stay here again.

There is no sign on the outside of this building. The woman behind the desk rolled her eyes when I told her of the difficulty picking which hotel was ours. She seemed irritated that we were there. She did later apologize. The ac unit had a lot of mold growing in the vents. I'm pretty sure it has never been cleaned. The morning staff was very nice, but I cannot recommend this hotel.

We liked the breakfast. The swiming pool. The front desk man Nick. The rooms were kleen and comfortanle. The hot water were great. There is planty of room for parking. The beds are big. The hotel located in a good place.

Great stay!! Wonderful location!! Omelets were AWESOME!!! Very easy check in and very easy check out! We were traveling on motorcycles and they let us park under the canopy!! Very clean in lobby, guest rooms, and the breakfast area!! Will definitely recommend to friends and family!!

Night staff super nice, owner seemed nice, breakfast was ... adequate but I paid about $20 more than expected so my issues are really more about value than quality per se. The only thing I would change, besides the price, is the window A/C heating units, which do not have a continuous fan option. Not particularly noisy hotel or location but it is nice to drown out the inevitable background noise. Not cool when the A/C keeps kicking on and off with a bang all night.

The hotel property is well-maintained, our room was comfortable, quiet, and nicely decorated, and the staff was efficient and friendly. We have family in the area and will choose to stay here again in the future.

Clean and comfortable, breakfast burritos with the tortilla and bacon. They have a pancake machine ( was not working that day) The people in the front desk were very nice. When we check out the front desk offered us bottles of water

Room was musty smelling. It was not a bad place but the room could have been fresher. It was convenient to get to places and quiet enough. The breakfast buffet could be better. The eggs were funny smelling and tasting. I tossed them. But they do offer (on weekends) fresh made omelets that very ok.

Stayed here 3 nights for a family visit for grand daughters HS graduation. Hotel is well maintained. Morning breakfasts are decent and nicely done. Each day was slightly different in the main offerings. Our last day was Monday/Memorial day and they were short staffed. Owner/Manager was in checking on everything to keep things running smoothly. Only downside was that it doesn't have a hot tub, but the pool is really nice. We will stay here again!!

We have always stayed here when visiting family. Stayed upstairs in suite room. Nice room but has a smell that we hadn't noticed before. The breakfast used to be great, had a lady making omelets, but that is gone. Not great breakfast anymore. Room was clean, except floor obviously had not been vacuumed since there was a earring back laying in middle of the floor.

I was in town for a last minute visitation and funeral and had no idea as to what motels were available. Friends escorted me to this facility. I rarely stay at Best Westerns due to what seems to be the lack of quality all around. This unit was a pleasant surprise. I explained to the lady at the front desk that I had just come from a visitation and had a funeral to attend the next day. She supposedly gave me a preferential/bereavement rate. I felt that it could have been a bit lower based on their usual rates on the website.The room was of a nice size and everything was fresh and clean. It would have been nice if the bulbs in the lamps were of a bit higher wattage. I even turned on the lights over the sink - which were the brightest - to lighten up the room. My only other comment would be that the complimentary breakfast was not up to par with other chains.

Noise from 2nd floor rooms was unbearable. Not able to sleep. Complained to front desk. 45 minutes later it was quiet. Finally was able to get grandchildren to sleep. Rooms and staff were great. Facility overall is great. We would stay there again.

Easy access from interstate and near eating places. Not far from downtown shops and more eating places. Friendly, helpful staff. Clean room with pleasant aromatics and nice decor. Breakfast is the usual, however the eggs were delicious because Casey added onions and bacon to them!

The rooms are clean enough and comfortable enough. The free breakfast is awful. The staff is friendly and helpful. The price is far too high for the location which is evidenced by the motel being mostly empty.

The room was clean and it was quiet. Did not use the gym facility, but we did use the heated pool in the evening. Walking distance to some restaurants in the area and brew pubs. Staff was cordial and they did serve breakfast, which was okay. Might want to take advantage of downtown Geneseo's restaurants for a good breakfast. Security cameras around the building - so felt comfortable leaving the car overnight. I would stay there again. Very close access to the Interstate.

We were having a family gathering and they had a suite available, which we booked. However it is located above the swimming pool and because of the constant humidity, the room developed a horrible musty odor that still clings to all of our clothing. The complimentary breakfast was serviceable.

We stayed here one night during a cross-country drive. The hotel is close to the freeway, but a bit tucked away from the main road, making our stuff-full-of-stuff car feel very safe in the well-lit parking lot. The room was comfortable and clean. The sink is outside of the toilet/shower area, which could be a nice feature for those traveling with teens, or others who like to take time getting ready in the morning :) The hotel offered free breakfast, but we decided to stop at a cute coffee shop in the downtown area about a mile and a half away. We also noticed that the hotel was close to the sports fields (there seemed to be a tournament in town the morning we left).

I stopped here while traveling across country just because the location was on my route back. I'm glad I had a chance to stay. It doesn't look much from the outside, but the Lobby area was clean and very nice. It was the employees who made the visit enjoyable. They were extremely friendly end helpful. The room was quiet, clean, and comfortable. The WiFi was good enough to stream tv shows from home, always a treat. It's close to several restaurants as well. (Try Lionhouse Brewery) I nice surprise in Illinois. I'd recommend staying here if you are traveling through.

Decent rates, nice staff, clean room and location close to gas and food. All we needed for a travel stop. Signage was visble from the highway, and there are actually several options for food within walking distance. The pool at the hotel looked nice, although we did not have time to use it.

Best value in a long time. Feels like brand new. Stayed here for family 3 nights. Always quiet even when the hotel was more than half full. The room was sparkling clean. Staff were engaging and friendly. Breakfast was nice. Convenient to I-80 and short drive to Quad Cities.

In town for a family reunion. Our hotel room was clean the first night we stayed, but housekeeping somehow skipped our room the next morning. The breakfast service on Saturday morning, June 30th is supposed to end at 9:30 am. However, the lady in charge of making omelets that morning was already cleaning up at 9:10 am and coffee was gone. Not sure why they advertise breakfast until 9:30 am when they clearly have no intention of serving guests until that time. Took the family into Moline for a great breakfast at a family restaurant instead. Will just stay at a hotel in Moline next year and drive the 20 minutes to Geneseo for the family reunion.

We stayed one night on a nearly cross country drive. It was clean, quiet and very comfortable. Very nice amenities with clean clean grounds and common areas. The well maintained pool was nice for decompressing after a long day. The hotel is within a short walk to several food and drink establishments.

Very nice. .no problems at all.. Very clean and courteous employees ...NO complaints ...all the amenities were on par...the breakfast was excellent ! Only wish the pool was 24 hrs available ...but made it work!

Very clean and comfortable stay. Great location with several good quality restaurants near by. Very friendly staff. I recommend this hotel ! The rooms were laid out very well. The beds and pillows were very comfortable.

Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and welcoming and the bed was very comfortable. Connie that worked in the breakfast room was wonderful. Made the best omelets and was so friendly. A nice way to start the day. We definitely stay here again

The hotel was renovated but a few issues still remain, for instance our door wouldn't shut on its own. The room we had was quite small and hard to get around, and it didn't have a full desk to sit at. The breakfast in the morning was not great, standard fare but little variety, however it was out early even on the weekend. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Overall I would recommend staying here, just don't have too high of expectations.

Fast in and out overnighter, clean, helpful staff.Right off the interstate, close to dining, churches and stores. Heated pool was fun when it was 5 degrees outside. Small but accommodating fitness room. Great breakfast when it is cold outside, B&G, sausage, pancakes, muffins, bread, bagels, rolls, fruit, yogurt, coffee and juices.

Clean hotel. Easy to get to off of I-80. Next to Culver's restaurant. Geneseo a great small town with a good number of unique stores in the old fashioned downtown area. The hotel is well maintained. We will stay there again when we next visit.

Traveling across the states by car can be tiring on the body! Here we found quiet respite and great service. Easy on and off the highway, clean, and comfortable. Staff were friendly and breakfast was diverse. Good coffee too!

Excellent night stay. Clean rooms, quiet hallways, delicious breakfast omelets made by a real person with real ingredients. Pancake machine fascinated my nephew. Felt like home away from home. Highly recommend this location versus large city hotels up the road.

Stayed here while doing the Hennipin 100. it was central to the start and finish. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was very good with a person making omelettes (weekend) there is lost of parking and restaurants near by. I would stay here again

my wife owns a cleaning service, so for her to approve a place is huge! she was floored at the cleanliness, and was very impressed. we would definitely stay there again. staff was great, hallways, parking lot everything was well maintained. excellent!

Geneseo Inn is a great hometown hotel. Come back here once a year or so and enjoy the stay here very much. Clean, updated and comfortable rooms, indoor pool area and breakfast bar in the morning. Deb and the rest of the staff make it a great place to to call home during your stay here. Close to everything in town and the area. A real pleasure to come back and stay here.

Returning to our hometown for the 50 year high school reunion was great fun in part to the comfortable beds and clean atmosphere here at BW. Three or four eateries are within walking distance. Fresh fruit always available to guests with iced water. Complimentary breakfast had lots of options including fresh custom made omlets !!

Great place to stay. Clean , modern, fully renovated, great breakfast, first class operation. The staff was professional and attentive. A very welcome suprise. i thought it was going to be a run of the mill place to stay. ....rather a great suprise.

Great value for the price and location. Clean room, free breakfast, internet. Nice rooms and decor. Close to Quad Cities without the price tag. Hotel has been updated. Staff is friendly and more than happy to help and accommodate any request.

Very pleasant stay. Small "farming" community which is also where born and raised. Returning for visit with family and friends after a wedding event in another city. Not many choices to stay but that doesn't keep this inn and staff from welcoming you and providing a very clean room, breakfast, and friendly/head working staff.

Quality room and amenities at a fair price. The staff is attentive, the breakfast is above average and offers personally prepared options. Rooms are clean and comfortable and the fitness center is adequate.

We stayed overnight on a trip and this place was really nice. We were greeted with a cheery smile and efficient check-in and the room was clean and very comfortable. Breakfast wasn't just the predictable selection - they had a made to order omelette station! Great place!

The wonderful staff at the hotel "rescued" us when we needed a room last minute after we had problems with another hotel. Everyone was friendly and welcoming and made a point to make sure we had everything we needed. You know they care when they greet you by name. Awesome breakfast with omlets made to order on the weekend. Nice pool area for the kids. Very clean!!

this hotel is right off the exit and is always clean and presentable..... also loved the updates that were done since our last visit.... the town is also quite charming and offers some nice options for dinner.

This motel looks new, is clean, and delivers on what should be expected (where many others fail). The room we had was spacious, nicely decorated, and clean. Breakfast was the usual selection for BW which is plenty and fine.

Paul was most helpful in meeting my special requests for room needs. He was friendly and helpful and enjoyable to visit with as well. The hotel was bright, clean, and appealing. We did not use the pool but it was most inviting. The breakfast was very good and the breakfast area was kept neat and tidy. The food was replenished and a staff member was around to help if needed. One thing I did like about the Geneseo Inn was the halls were well lit and bright paint made it very inviting rather than some places that the halls are so dark and blah.

This is a great place to stay. Very comfortable beds and very friendly staff. Great breakfast. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling through the Geneseo area. We usually seek out a Best Western. This one was convenient as we visited relatives in Geneseo. However, the exhaust fan didn't work in the bathroom and the entry light had a "dangerous" buzzing sound when turned on.

Best Western - you have yourself a GEM in Casey! It is a seldom event to find someone with such a glowing personality who appears to be dedicated to her job. She greeted us warmly and checked us in when we arrived. Then the next morning, there she was making omelettes for everyone. She is absolutely wonderful and you must take good care of her! She made this stay a 5 star for sure! Thank you, Casey, for being a wonderful hostess!!!

About 1/2 an hour out of Moline, Illinois, is a small rural town called Geneseo. Located on Interstate 80 two and a half hours west of Chicago, this city boasts a big-city restaurant. Also located there is the Best Western Motel, only a stone's throw from the interstate. What does this motel have to offer. Exceptional cleanliness, like-new facilities, a complimentary hot breakfast and a indoor pool next to the lobby. Have you ever had a complimentary breakfast where they cook eggs or omelets to order? All of this and a very reasonable price. Think about this, you have been driving all day, you're tired and you want something better than fast food 'stuff'. You get to the motel, clean up and drive a little over a mile downtown to the "Cellar" supper club offering fine foods and great steaks. The next morning you have an early breakfast and on the road with a full belly.

Great breakfast. Omelets made to order. Had an accessible room. The walk in shower was large, but the curtain didn't keep the water in. Lighting in bathroom left much to be desired. Very comfortable bed. Grandkids enjoyed the pool.

Best Western is a great hotel to stay in. The name has a good reputation for being clean, safe, economical, friendly, and restful. The location we stayed at was just off a main thoroughfare so it was convenient and easy to get to. The lobby was always cool and very quiet and calm. The staff were very pleasant to make small talk with.

The staff was so friendly and went outbid their way to make our stay enjoyable! We had four people in our group and there was no suite available so they generously gave us an adjoining room which was so nice!!!

This is the fourth time my wife and I have stayed here when visiting family. The staff is friendly and goes out of there way to take care of your every need. The hotel is comfortable and very clean. They are always doing maintenance to maintain it. The location is good and close to interstate. There are several places to eat near by Sweet Peas and Culver both very good. Plus if you need it Wal-mart is across street. This is only hotel I have been to of this class that on the complementary breakfast does omelettes to order

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We liked the personnel at the check in, as well as the lady who made a tasty omelet for each of us according to our wishes. Nice people, nice room, updated with new carpet and other appointments. There is an indoor pool that looked inviting, but we were too tired, and slept like a baby in the comfortable beds.

We enjoyed the homemade omelets and other breakfast items. The hotel was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The location to restaurants and shopping was great also. We could walk to at least 4 restaurants. It was easy to get back onto I-80 to continue our trip.

We rented three rooms for a family event near Geneseo. Staff was very kind and helpful in accommodating our larger group and was kind to let us use the breakfast area that evening to eat our pizza in as a family. The breakfast in the morning had great variety. Casey making made to order omelets was an added bonus. Don't have to stay in Geneseo very often but if I needed to I would return to this hotel!

We always stay here when in the town and have never been disappointed. They are refurbishing the rooms with fresh furniture, paint and carpet and looks great. Staff is helpful and pleasant. Breakfast this time included omelette made to order. Was a pleasant surprise.

This hotel is really great - and the staff are exceptional. The breakfast is also very good and is an actual hot breakfast and not just donuts and coffee. The employees at the front desk are always very nice and courteous and seem to go out of their way to make the experience a good one. I definitely tell people about this hotel who are going to the area.

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Hotel was very quite. Staff was great and accommodating. Breakfast was not desirable. Overall stay was comfortable and I would consider this property again when in the area.

I had to make a last minute reservation for this hotel. When I arrived at almost midnight there was no night manager at the desk and the house phone did not ring through. After waiting about 10 minutes the night manager finally arrived to check me in. The rooms were recently updated and they did a good job. The bed and pillows rival Hampton/Holiday Inn Express but the complimentary breakfast leaves a bit to be desired.

Messy inside carpets tracked up do to construction. Tv didn't work but fron desk lady came up amd fixed it. Breakfast was average. Noise from room next door was loud, it was when they turned water on.

upon arrival was treated great. quick check in. place is almost upon completion of renovation. great wi-Fi. everything you need for a great stay. But ... As a corporate account guess. I was told they could not upgrade via management. Even thought im a diamond select member... Greed of mgmt will keep me from returning.

Excelent restraunts and hotel is right off the interstate.quaint little shops on main street.beautiful park in center of town. Something for everyone in this little historical town. I would recommend a weekend getaway to this town.

Stopped here on I 80 journey from Denver to NY. Clean and friendly, but my DH and I both woke up with backaches from too soft beds. I would give it one more star if price wasn't so high- not a $98 hotel- more like $78. Room on the small side and a bit dated. We did not try breakfast. Staff very hesitant to give us extra 30 minutes in room- but they did. Literature says 11 am checkout is strictly enforced. Never ran into that before.

Found room clean, as reviewers had said. Nice desk help and restaurant next door. Would stay there again. Quiet and close to highway access. Breakfast offered eggs, omelets, pancakes, sausage, rolls, cereal, yogurt, toast, and drinks. Would cost $12 at any restaurant.

Great stay. Came here to attend wedding. Room was clean. Air conditioner maintained temperature and kept room comfortable. Comfortable clean bed. Daily room service was above average. No problem with noise or parking. Would stay here again.

My family and I stayed at Geneseo BW and it was wonderful. The staff is kind, helpful, and welcoming. All the times I've stayed at this hotel my room has been nice, clean, and comfortable. I've never had any major issues and the one minor issue I had was rectified immediately by the staff. My family and I will definitely stay at the Geneseo BW again in the future. My two night stay at this hotel was made exceptional by the staff employees at this hotel...I was here to support a runner that raced on the Hennepin Canal all weekend and the staff at this hotel could not have been more supportive and caring...whatever I needed, asked how the race went, told me where to get a local newspaper that had info about the race in it...all of this just from knowing the purpose of my stay...I cannot say enough good things about this hotel...I travel 8-10 times per year and this experience was beyond exceptional!

Very quiet rooms. Nicely furnished and updated. Pretty typical room for this type of lodging and price point. Beds very comfortable. Several eating places within walking distance which was handy for our needs. Breakfast slightly different than other places we have stayed as they had a person cooking made to order omelette so they were fresh, not and with the ingredients you chose. Also new to us was a pancake machine. So many times you don't want an entire waffle but just a little so this machine was great as it made pancakes 2 per serving. Wish more p,aces had this. Friendly staff but maybe s little understaffed as at check out the same people are replenishing the breakfast room and manning the front desk...they did a good job in spite of being really busy!

This was a very nice looking place. I loved my rooms aesthetics and setup!! Everything was very clean and staff was polite. But, I must add there was a smell to the entire place, but especially my room. At first I thought maybe it was industrial glue as the carpet looked at though it was new, but it sure smelled like mold. It has been 22 hours since I was there and I washed and conditioned my hair, and it still holds that musty moldy smell. Otherwise great place!!

the staff (1 gal) i had to ring the bell, than heard her yell, one minute, i'll be right there. to expensive for plastic bath and shabby carpet. also the closet doors where off their tracts. really cool little town

Talk about caring service. When you check in (even very late at night), you'll be met with a smile before heading into a clean room and very comfortable bed. Expect to wake up to an awesome breakfast with various options hot and cold. You may even find a super friendly omelet chef biting at the bit to make you one heckuva breakfast scrambler. You'll enjoy the clean pool to round out your day. No hot tub, but the pool is soothing enough, as it is heated and the room is spacious.

Very clean, friendly staff. Easy access to interstate 80. About 1 mile from downtown and The Cellar restaurant which is rated as one of the best places to have a steak dinner in Illinois. Also the local historical museum and close to Bishop Hill, historical site.

overpriced, dangerous, stench filled, without decent personnel. NEVER again staying at a Best Western after this place. Absolutely disgusting, hostile, and the smell in the room of ???cleaning fluid? to cover up the stink was nauseating.

Had it not been for Ms. Casey and her concern for our well being during our stay, This may have been a poor experience. You can be assured that this lady had our best interest to heart and it is obvious she is like this with each customer. I recommend you give Ms. Casey a raise, she deserves it.

While driving in a horrible rainstorm we lucked into finding this oasis. Everything was top notch: good value, clean comfortable, modern, and convenient. All the mentioned would merit a superb review, but what set this place apart were the caring people, from Casey's humor and most excellent omelettes to Deb's setting us up for the rest of our day at departure. The next time we travel in this direction there is no doubt where we'll stay. Thank you BW.

The hotel and staff was the best, kindest people I have ever come across. Rooms were very clean, Breakfast was superior to any hotel. I know as I stay weekly for 13 years in differant hotels. This one was truly thee BEST!!

We stopped here during a long road trip and found it to be just perfect! They got us 2 rooms next to each other for our family of 5. The pool was nice. We had a great meal at Sweet Peas which is right next door. The rooms were clean and hotel was well maintained. Breakfast in the morning was great- Casey makes a great omelette!! Thanks!!

We stayed here at the last minute to break up a car ride to Chicago. I am very happy with our selection. We were able to get a room with 3 Queen beds, which was perfect for our family of 5. The room seemed recently remodeled and was very clean. The breakfast area was also very clean and my young children were able to enjoy the food! Very nice hotel for a small interstate town!

Overall everything was exceptional. If your hungry, food is within walking distance. My favorite was the work out room! The pool is indoor and is nice. The hotel looks fantastic. The room was very clean and smelled clean as well. staff is very friendly! Excellent customer service!

We enjoyed our stay. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. 5 stars to them! The pool was nice and clean. Our kids loved swimming in there. 4 stars for the inn itself because the queen beds seems very small in width. We were surprised by how small they felt. One of the mattresses in our room was too firm, but it seemed maybe the others were softer. To improve they could offer true queen width mattresses to better fit families.

This hotel exceeded our expectations. The room offered to our family was amazing and clean. The breakfast was great, the pool was well kept, the staff members were very helpful and I would stay there again. We chose this hotel because it was right off the exit and near restaurants as well as WalMart.

The staff at this location are very friendly. The hotel is clean and nice. Geneseo is a great city to visit. Easy access from off I-80 and close to several locations to eat and shop. Downtown is only minutes away with great small town shopping and parks to relax in.

We did not use the pool, so I cannot comment on that. Loved having the sink area outside of the bathroom. If we are ever in this area again, this is the hotel we will stay in.

This hotel is very clean, well run, and managed. They have nice, newly carpeted, super clean rooms. It was nice not to worry about the cleanliness. The receptionist Casey is a doll. Friendly, fun, and helpful. And she cooks a great omelet in the morning for breakfast. She is awesome. The owner leaves his cell phone number to call him with any complaints or problems. I have never found that happen before. AAA+ rating.

I was very surprised the first time I stayed at BW because everything including the customer service was so pleasant. This time around it was just as nice. The continental breakfast was really good, the hotel was clean and welcoming, and the employees were helpful and attentive. I enjoyed the relaxing and peaceful stay at this hotel. I would definitely recommend and stay at this BW again. I had an overall excellent experience.

We enjoyed our stay here very much. The hotel was very quiet, and there were restaurants nearby, so we did not have to go far for dinner. Breakfast was also very good. The staff person upon check in was extremely helpful and courteous.

After a twelve hour trip, we called and asked if it was possibly to get a room and check in early since it was 10 in the morning on a Saturday. They had no issues and we got to check in early. The hotel and room was nice and clean. Beds were super comfy. The staff was incredibly nice, friendly, and helpful! Would stay at again!!

The staff was very friendly, The room was clean and well kept. Sunday morning one of the ladies from the front desk was making omelets to order in the breakfast room. Nice touch. Even the towels were changed during our two day stay -- we had hung them up and expected them to be used again on the second day. Good service.

I don't usually stay at Best Western in general but this time I thought I'd give it a try. No other good options in the area so I went with the best reviews on where else but TripAdvisor. Staff were all very friendly. Hotel is clean and up to date. Really clean and tidy breakfast bar (normally I don't even mess with continental breakfast but this time the staff were honest about theirs being very good. The pool looked very nice although I didn't use it. Internet is really speedy which is a big plus for business travel.

We looked in nearby cities for hotels, but all were booked due to college graduations that weekend. We drove to Geneseo, with hopes of finding a nice quite place....and we did! Casey at the front desk was soooo nice. She offered to make us reservations at the Cellar while we got checked in to our room. I highly suggest eating there! It was a great suggestion. The rooms were nice and the breakfast we great. The pool was not heated, so make sure you are ready for the shock :)

My husband, our son, and I loved our stay. The pool was clean and great, and the breakfast cook made to order omelettes(outstanding). Our room was clean and quiet.. They allowed us a late check out due to it be rainy outside, and our local appointments did not start until 2:00pm. Both young ladies who checked us in, and checked us out were friendly and polite. This was the most expensive hotel I stayed at on my road trip, the lady at the front desk wasn't friendly. the curtains in my room were broken and the curtain rod was just laying on the desk. The coffee machine was filthy, my coffee came out with a film on top.

Stayed here on a business trip, front desk people are very friendly and helpful. Room was clean upon arrival. Fridge, microwave, iron, hairdryer all in room. Changed sheets for the second day of my stay.

I am not normally a BEST WESTRN HOTEL person. I try to stay at 2-3 other brands in most cases. In the case of the Geneseo IL Best Western I booked this hotel mostly due the proximity of the hotel to where I needed to do business in Geneseo. I was WONDERFULLY SURPRISED by the Great Service, the CLEAN ROOM, the fantastic swiming pool area and the hot breakfast. This stay has completely changed my view of what a Best Western Brand Hotel can be and I will continue to look at Best Western Hotels during future stays, with the hope that they are as GOOD as the GENESEO Best Western Hotel. We stopped for the night at the Best Western Geneseo Inn and were pleasantly surprised with the courtesy and helpful people working there. They got us right in to a clean, nice room. Breakfast in the morning was good, but you may have to request additional food, some of it was gone when we went through. The staff made us what we wanted as soon as we asked. Again, the staff was right there helping us if we needed anything. It is a great place to stop for the night.

We were in town for the night, taking kids around the states for a choir concert. The kids stayed with members of the church and us as the drivers stayed in hotels. This was the best hotel in the five (5) day trip we stayed at. The Rooms were clean, modern and well kept. You can tell the hotel was recently remodeled. Great breakfast selection, made to order pancakes, how cool was that!!! Over all this hotel was just awesome. Thank You and Keep up the great work!!

This hotel was a welcome sight. The accommodations were acceptable and the staff were pleasant and helpful. Though I did not luck to the dining room in the morning, this location offers breakfast with the room rate.

The Best Western in Geneseo, IL was a Jewell of a Best Western. Great location, exceptionally clean, quite, great breakfast, very friendly associates. I will look to stay there again when I am in the area.

We recently held my daughters Birthday party at this hotel. We booked the 3 bed suite which gave us plenty of room for an air mattress also. The girls used the pool, and had a blast in the room. Room was clean and comfortable, the pool was perfect for the girls to enjoy. They might consider putting in a hot tub :)

NIce hotel, great location. We were at a softball tournament. Pool area was nice. Liked how the sink was in the room not in the bathroom, with staying with a family of four. Room was nice and clean...

I've stayed here many times and have always had a clean room, enjoyed a full breakfast, experienced a seamless check-in , enjoyed the fresh fruit at all hours and well, I can't imagine staying anywhere else. Geneseo is great town and you can enjoy all it has to offer!

Room was clean quiet and near a nice small town that had some interesting eateries and breakfast places. The Hotel itself offered a free breakfast but I like to do a little exploring. I would recommend this hotel for travelers along I-80 it has easy on and off access to freeway.

We enjoyed our stay here - sometimes Best Westerns can be hit or miss, this was a hit. Genuinely friendly greeting upon our arrival, easy check-in. Our room was clean, well furnished, fridge and microwave, wifi, very comfortable bed and pillows. Breakfast was the average assortment one would expect, plenty of options to choose from. Coffee was meh - the kind made by some machine, not freshly brewed. But certainly fine. Didn't use the the pool, but it looked nice. We would definitely go back if we were ever in the area again. Right off the highway and easy to find, with several dining options within walking distance or short drive.

The really is a beautiful place to stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We arrived latter in the evening but the kids still enjoyed the pool for a while. The room was nice and quiet, the beds were great better than all the other places we stayed on our 3 week trip. The breakfast was wonderful and they had a nice selection of hot and cold items. The motel was nice and clean.
