    « So welcoming! »

We stayed in a family room for two nights and cannot fault the motel experience. From Geoff's courtesy call prior to our arrival, right through to our checkout, we had a lovely stay. Our room was nicely refurbished and relatively spacious. The bonus was a microwave, china & cutlery which made it very easy to eat in the room if feeling exhausted after a long day. It was too cold to use the pool, but it was one of the best-looking motel pools we've seen ? with landscaping! Even though our room faced a main road, it was surprisingly quiet. The location is just a few blocks from the main shopping area and an easy downhill walk. There are also a few cafes/takeaway places close by and the Empire Grill restaurant is right next door, offering room service to guests. The restaurant is not owned by the hotel and our experience with Empire Grill room service was rather miserable. What we received was expensively priced with very small portions (we cancelled dinner reservations as a result). Whilst convenient, there are better options. Our dining experience in no way changes our high opinion of the motel. It is so worth a visit ? even if just to try the glorious rain head shower ? what a treat after a long day! The Admiralty met all of our accommodation requirements, and we will return when next in Geelong.

    « 3 night stay »

Geoff and Jane have only recently taken over the management of this delightful property within close proximity to the Geelong football ground and the Town Centre. The can do attitude demonstrated by Geoff should ensure that those who choose to stay at The Admiralty will have an enjoyable time. Although not run by the Motel, the Empire Restaurant would have to be one of the best quality dine out restaurants iSouth of Melbourne. Motel rooms were very clean and the only negative would be the squishy car parks as a number of guests rune 4 X 4 s. Overall a great stay and I would choose this motel again when next in Geelong

    « Modern Best Western »

It's been many years since I stayed in a Best Western Motel. My memories were of tired older motels. The Admiralty Motor Inn exceeded my expectations, friendly, quick check in and refurbished rooms. The shower had a large rain head and the room was fresh and clean. Close to the CBD, we took an Uber to a local Hotel for dinner $7.50 but you could easily walk (we were too tired) In summary, this is great value for an overnight stay and the Motel does have a restaurant on site. I would stay here again.

    « Very comfortable & Affordable »

Lovely and friendly owners and very accommodating to all your needs and advice for services within the area. Very clean room and the absolute best shower - great water pressure . Look forward to my next visit .

« Comfortable but nothing special »

Despite being located on a main road, my room was quiet being set well back from the road. The check in and check out processes were quick and efficient. My room had everything I needed - good wifi, microwave, comfortable bed, etc, but there was little to set it aside from every other motel. Having said this, I would probably stay there again.

« Good Quality in the Motor Inn Category »

I stayed here because it was attached to the Empire Grill where the training I was attending was being held. I was pleasantly surprised by the facilities in the room (I had a Standard Queen): microwave, toaster, iron and ironing board, in addition to the standard kettle etc. The room had plenty of space, a good bathroom with a fan, and a wardrobe for hanging clothes. The mattress was a bit firm, but comfortable. Although there was a slight smell of bleach when I first walked in, that disappeared once I had opened the door. The reception was helpful and pleasant, although I can see the potential for problems with keys being left in the outdoor key safe for arrivals after 9pm. I arrived just prior to 9pm, so reception had already put my key in the safe - they then couldn't open it when they tried - so I would definitely been in trouble trying to do it myself if i'd arrived 20mins later. Otherwise, convenient location, no concern with traffic noise (I was in the back units) and good value.

    « Left after 10 mins »

When I checked in I was given my room key and I proceeded to my room. I couldn't believe it when I entered the room only to find 2 people asleep in bed! I immediately requested a refund and I left. I sincerely hope the people who were disturbed got a refund too!Bad form.

    « Large Western »

This motel is on the main road but our room was at the back and the traffic noise wasn't an issue. Standard motel room. The room was clean except for the dirty bowl in the cupboard. Large shower head was nice once you worked out how to open the shower door. Tradies were in the next two rooms and we're partying till late which for a non restful night.

    « Good Value »

As Motels go, the Admiralty is good value for money, the grounds and rooms are very clean & tidy. There is a very nice breakfast room in the grounds too. Staff on check in and check out very friendly and pleasant. Overall a great experience would stay again.

    « Fantastic! »

We stayed for a week and couldn't have asked for more. Easy walking distance to Simonds Stadium, shops, restaurants, train station and pier. The room was clean and bathroom updated. All staff were friendly and always happy to help. Highly recommended and will stay here again if we come back to Geelong.

    « Poor communication »

I booked this motel 2 nights; it was walking distance to the football stadium. I arrived Thursday at 10:30 pm after a train trip from Melbourne, but I found the front desk closed for the night. That caught me off guard; I assumed every major hotel chain (or smaller) was manned 24 hours. I had to walk through town in the rain and fortunately found another hotel to stay that night. I found my credit card had been charged for two nights. The next day after 11 am I went to the motel and told the clerk about my situation and requested a refund for the previous night, but she told me there had been a spot where I could pick up my key (I was not aware) and I would need to talk to the owners later that day. There was nothing in any correspondence I received by e-mail, nor on the web site, that the front desk would be closed late at night and I expected a refund for the first night. I checked into the room and went back into town for the day. When I got back, the owners had gotten wind that I told the day clerk, and the male was unreasonable and told me I should have known to pick up my key that night and he would not refund me. Fortunately, Linda did refund me for the first night and I appreciate her doing that. As for the room, it was more similar to a Motel 6 in the states than the Best Westerns I have stayed at; basic. The bathroom was a bit tight and TV a bit slow to change channels. I did have a similar situation in Melbourne where the front desk at the hotel I stayed closed at 6 pm but I was made aware of that in advance. But I wasn't aware when I got to this motel in Geelong and it could have been very dangerous had I not found another hotel. In the future, I will always stay at hotels that I know have 24-hour reception.

« Hidden Gem and so Close to the Footy!! »

The close proximity to Simonds Stadium was my reason for choosing the Best Western Admiralty. Lucky for me, it was a terrific choice. The friendly reception was very welcoming. The room was, well, roomy, had everything I could have needed. I went for an afternoon walk and was entertained by the historical architecture in the neighbourhood as well as assortment of interesting shops. As quite a few of the guests went to the footy as I did I was worried about security and noise after the game. The room was so quiet I didn't hear a noise until my alarm woke me in the morning. It is the quietest hotel I have ever stayed at, without a doubt. They next morning I took advantage of the Breakfast Room, another pleasant surprise. Yummy breakfast at a very reasonable price. Decent coffee - no instant. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. I want to stay again.

« Fantastic, very quiet and comfortable »

King size bed, very clean, the hosts were magnificent even when we arrived late they offered to cook us a meal, right on the edge of the city shops. The hosts even put the heater on for us as they knew we would arrive late.

    « stay here »

Excellence in every service and convenience at a very reasonable price. Also offer seniors and aged over 55 special rates. best place we have stayed in Geelong to date. We will definitely here book again.

« Good value for money »

Stay here at least 2 times a month and always find these rooms to be beautifully appointed with some of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on. Bathrooms are some of the best designed and functioning ones I have seen.

    « Great stay »

We stayed at the Best Western for a overnighter for our recent trip to Australia. As we landed late at night and wanted to cover the Great Ocean Rd the next day, the motor inn was a great place to stop in. The motor inn is based about 1.5hrs drive from the Melbourne International Airport by car. It is easy to find and offers parking for your rental car. The rooms are nice and spacious. The only thing during winter is it does cold in Geelong so it would have been great if the heat pump in the room was turned on by the time we got in at 11pm. The bed is comfortable and there is good lighting in the room. The bathroom facilities are great as well. At the reception the staff are warm and friendly. They certainly look after you and checking in after hours is certainly no issue at all either. I would certainly stay here again.

« Excellent and a great restaurant too »

Our reception was efficient and friendly. The room was comfortable, quiet and clean. The restaurant was excellent and has a good menu spread. My wife needs gluten free and they had no trouble catering. I recommend this motel without any hesitation.

    « Wow »

Awesome amazing accomodating service. We have a big truck and trailer and the staff here were more than happy to put some witches hats out to secure some parking for us. Price is incredible when so close to the city ! Room is so clean, fresh and comfortable, the shower with its awesome shower head and the bed is fantastically comfy! 10/10 in my books! Will be returning!

« Better than it looks »

We stayed here when dining at Igni restaurant. As mentioned elsewhere the Motel is old and size/layout is dated, but they have been renovated and are clean and comfortable with good lights (a rarity). Bed was great, bathroom and shower were very good and there has been a lot of care taken. I wondered whether it would be noisy as there was a wedding reception in the restaurant, but we didn't hear a peep. Reception was friendly and helpful and the location was excellent for Igni. Would stay here again.

« Flying visit with ease.. »

Flew in late at night and amazingly, the reception was still staffed, a seamless check in and I was in my room. In the morning, I asked about a possible extension and by later in the afternoon my room was made available with again no fuss. Location a little out of the way but I walked 5mins to several pizza shop and a corner pub!! The rooms are spacious and really good value for a business trip..

    « Disappointed »

The room was old and tired. Beds uncomfortable, the bathroom was a shower over bath and not clean. Chairs in the room were really hard. Overall for what we paid it was unacceptable and wouldn't recommend or return.

    « Second Time Around »

I rate this place a 4/5 for what should have been a 3/5 establishment. Second time visitor and for good reason, primarily location. An abundance of eateries within an easy 15 min walk at most and the hospital an even easier 8 minutes away, so close I even managed to walk back from the hospital post surgery with heavy G.A. after effects no problem. Very neat and tidy well stocked rooms. Especially loved the large squeezable shower and hand basin soaps, much better than the small tubes or soap most places have. Whilst on showers, they have those large overhead rain type nozzles, I loved them but some people wouldn't if they want to keep their hair dry. They have an on site restaurant which was full when we walked past and at night it was very quiet. They even have my favourite brand of instant coffee (moccona) heaps better than the normal blend 43 flavoured dust. Second visit and won't be the last.

    « Good overnight stay »

Motel is old but has been renovated in recent years. Rooms are large and have everything you would expect. Good location close to the middle of town. Seemed to be a lot of tradies sharing rooms but no problems there. Would definitely use it again when Geelong.

    « Nice comfy stay »

Check in was nice and friendly always a good start, We stayed here over the March long weekend and despite being basically booked out we barely heard a peep from anyone beside us or above which is great!! Room was of a good size, very well renovated, so fresh and inviting and things matched so well. Especially enjoyed the large shower head!!!! Plenty of hot water available lol.. Location isn't bad, about a 10-15 min walk to shopping centres and little further to beach which was handy for us. Nice little pool area we used to cool off for the brief time geelong was warm :p It is clearly a well run and looked after motel, happily recommend!

    « Very good motel »

We stayed here for 1 night and paid $154, with an additional $28 for continental breakfast (for 2). Pro: good location, friendly staff, large room, very quiet, good sized bathroom, very good shower, good wifi, excellent restaurant next door Con: breakfast disappointing

« Everything you need and really fabulous people »

This accommodation is predictably standard for this type of place, but it is neat and clean and comfortable to stay in and I had a very positive experience here. I encountered a couple of non accommodation related issues with my visit to Victoria this trip, but the staff here (from cleaners to management) were just SO great. They helped me out so much and really bent over backwards to ensure I was ok and that I had what I needed. I really appreciate that a lot and Id definitely stay again.

« Very friendly and comfortable »

Stayed a night at short notice. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and the queen bed very comfortable. For a motel the shower was surprisingly good. Bathroom exhaust game worked very well so mirror didn't fog up. Walking distance to the town centre which was great Recommended !

    « Always great »

Stayed here again while in town for work. Room was nice and modern and very comfortable. An easy walk into town for shopping and also lots of food options nearby. Only a short walk down to Eastern Beach as well.

    « Everything is close »

On a main road so easy to find and with easy walk to the shops and somewhere to eat. Large room with toaster, coffee and tea making facilities. It is two stories high. Well priced and very accomadating staff.

« Great hotel and great service! »

We were down from Melbourne staying one night over the weekend. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the shower was great. The cooked breakfast was delicious and great value! But most of all the service was fantastic. Everyone was very friendly. Would definitely stay again :)

« Walking distance to shops and main Geelong centre »

One night stay was a great stop. Since everything was booked thanks to information centre found this place for us. Room clean fresh , no noise and bathroom renovation was excellent only had trouble with shower water had trouble regulating the hot & cold to get a nice shower but was ok. Wasn't far to walk to main Geelong area either definitely recommend this place and will book again when in Geelong!!

« Friendly staff, spacious, clean and comfortable »

We spent a night here on our way through Geelong. Friendly staff and very reasonably priced. The room was fairly spacious, very clean and comfortable. Loved the big shower as often hotels have awful showers with no water pressure, not the case here!!! Definitely recommend!

    « Curate's egg - some good ..... (3.5 to 4 stars overall) »

difficult to assess this motel. In throes of being renovated. Disappointed in basics like uncovered staircase to upper level - it was raining!!! Some parts of the motel complex looked pretty basic. The room we had was very well appointed - presumably one of the renovated ones - nice clean bathroom, comfortable queen bed, good pillows. No complaints indeed very good facilities - big tick. When booking asked for a quiet room but got one overlooking busy McKillop street so heard traffic late into the night. So - some good and some not so good. Suggest need to confirm exactly which room - renovated or not and the location before taking the room.

    « Ok, it's a Motor Inn »

Quick one night stay in a basic and I mean basic Motor Inn on "busy -ish" road. Was hoping for a quiet room and received room facing the "highway", oh well, it was only for one night. Room was you basic motel one, slept ok, in Geelong nothing is that busy until the tradies start travelling to work about 5am and the fire station opposite right to motel, sends it's fire trucks screaming for their first job/excersise or what ever... Has tv, wi-if, kettle, instant coffee, shampoo/body wash in pumps, bed, wardrobe and fridge, voila there's what you need for one-nighter... And one night is enough, although Peninsula Highway was not that busy after all. Friendly and helpful people in front desk.

    « Great value stay »

We stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms. Very nice upgrades, especially the shower. The motel is within walking distance of downtown Geelong with its shops, places to eat and lovely walks along the sea. They have a great deal with the Empire Grill next door, and you can even have dinner delivered to your room...very relaxing after a long journey. Linda and Mark are very welcoming and go above and beyond to make sure you have everything to make your stay comfortable. Would definitely stay there again.

    « Great value accomodation »

My mother and I recently traveled to Geelong for a family event and stayed at the Best Western Admiralty Motor Inn. The motel is close to downtown Geelong and the bus station. The rooms were recently renovated and very clean and tidy. We took up the option of the cooked breakfast in the Breakfast Room and we can highly recommend the omelet. All in all very good value accommodation. I will definitely stay there again.

We have stayed at the Admiralty Inn on numerous occasions but not for approximately 2 years and glad to see that Linda & Mark are still there. They would be the best hosts that we have come across and we have toured around Australia many times. Nothing is to hard for them they cater for your every whim always a cheery smile and can not do enough for you. The rooms are very spacious and spotlessly clean, the shower brilliant. Value for the money. Some of the rooms are being upgraded across the courtyard and when we were there the workmen went about their trade and with hardly any noise at all. Linda and Mark congratulations once again and we shall be back. Regards Ian & Wendy.

« Stop over back to Sydney »

A lovely cozy motel. Room has recently been renovated and management professional and friendly . Good local eateries. Avoid the big hotels in Geelong you will be dissapointed. Two great places to eat within walking distan5. With a little boutique wine shop a block away sellin local peninsula wines

    « overnight stopover »

Top place to stay nice and handy to CBD and close to a lot of eateries as well as it's own dine in steak house. Stayed in a deluxe queen suite #43 the room had lots of space, great comfy bed, very clean and a great shower, large TV with movie & sports channels, Mark at reception was very helpful & polite upon arrival & was happy to help us with directions.

« Great stay (again and again) »

This is the second time I've stayed at the Admiralty. My husband has stated numerous times. The primary reason we choose this hotel is its location - it's only a short walk to the football ground. It's also easy walking distance to cafes and restaurants and not too far from the waterfront (few mins in car). The price is also very reasonable and the service always good. This time we booked a deal that included continental breakfast - only simple but sufficient. Whilst simple, the rooms are well equipped and very clean. No complaints! Highly recommended.

    « Nice »

Spent two nights here. Football game was on and a huge number of footy fans were also staying here. It was surprisingly quiet, despite this. Nice breakfast in a small room overlooking the pool. Very friendly management and staff. Everything in the room was spotlessly clean and the bathroom seemed to be recently renovated. Close to restaurants and short walk to shops. Wifi in room worked well.

    « Clean and comfortable »

Stayed one night on our way down the Great Ocean Road. The room was clean, bed comfortable and plenty of hot water for morning showers. The front office is only open until 9pm, however the managers are on site. They were very nice and ready for us when we arrived at 9:30. Would stay again if we're thru Geelong.

« Great location to stay for football »

Have stayed at the Admiralty previously. Had friends coming down for Cats v Swans football game so we booked 2 rooms. Rooms are in great condition having been recently refurbished. The bathroom has been fully redone with new shower, hand basin and tiling. Room is all freshly painted and has split system a/c which is very quiet. Had drinks in the Empire Bar and Grill both evenings and the staff were very welcoming. Great spot too.

    « Comfortable »

This is an old style motel but is comfortable and clean. The bed was comfortable. We could not get wifi in our room. Tea & coffee facilities were available in our room. A car park is available but is a tight squeeze in places. Staff were friendly.

    « Great service »

Stay at this motel often. I come to geelong every couple of weeks for business and i find the best western admiralty inn is on the top of my list. Friendly staff and the rooms are always clean. The service and food in the breakfast facility is great.

« Great service, comfortable and clean. »

We had a one night stop over before a Great Ocean Road trip. Very welcoming, friendly and helpful reception. Great recommendation for dinner (pub within walking distance which was fabulous). Rooms were modern, very clean and tidy. Bed was comfortable. Will stay again.

    « So so »

Given the reviews of this place, I expected more. It's clearly an old motel which has been touched up, rather than renovated. We were three adults in a rather small room. They claim to offer Foxtel but there are only about 5 Foxtel channels, and no Foxtel remote control which makes finding the channels difficult. The location is good, a short drive to the waterfront and some good eateries. The concrete walls in the bathroom were in poor shape, with patches merely painted over. The third bed was placed up against the door shared with the next room, which meant every sound from that room was heard through the door. It's an ok place for a hot shower and a warm bed (electric blankets supplied in cold weather) but it's not somewhere I would return to nor recommend to anyone, certainly not for the price compared to what else is available.

    « "Admiralty"Service... »

It is a while ago now that we stayed. But a girlfriend of mine whom I hadn't seen for 2 years, we decided to have an "Ocean Road" travel break catch up. We came down from Southern Cross Station in Melbourne, caught the train to Geelong and booked into the Admiralty Best Western Motor Inn. As we had lots to talk about, the staff meanwhile was very helpful in settling us into our rooms and telling us about local eateries. The breakfast in their small but very cozy dining room was excellent along with a great service all round. Will go back and stay again when in Geelong!

    « Very comfortable »

This motel was very comfortable with everything available to make your stay great. Some items had to be requested from reception, but they were still available. After a long drive it was a very pleasing place to relax and undwind

    « Very pleasant »

Room was very well looked after. The staff both coming and going were very good. The breakfast room is also very nice. Very good quality. My room was road facing but there were no issues with noise at all. Close to town and would be very happy to go back there.

« Freindly staff and comfortable rooms »

I stayed here for work for 2 nights. From arrival on the Tuesday night i found the staff to be wonderful and helpful and very knowledgeable of the area. The rooms were comfortable and even though i had a room facing the road i found the room itself to be very quiet. Will most definitely be staying again and will reccomend to others to stay here. Well worth the price each night.

    « Overpriced »

Overpriced at $175 per night. It's an old style motel where the rooms surround the car park. It's close to the city centre but on a busy main road with the Fire and ambulance stations opposite. The rooms, which have been nicely refurbished, were promoted as ?deluxe suites' yet they're really today's ?standard'. No toiletries like hair conditioner or hair dryer. In the last 7 weeks we stayed at a very nice motel complex in Canberra 10 mins from Manuka for $150 per night for a very nice, modern one bedroom suite with toiletries, hair drier etc. a fitness centre and a nicely landscaped pool area with a water feature, several table and chair settings and lots of sun lounges off a nice bar area. Also a couple of weeks ago we were in a Melbourne city hotel on Queens Road, overlooking Albert Park in a very large, well-appointed room for $123 per night, including toiletries, hair drier etc.

    « Good location »

We stayed in one of the smaller rooms. Found the bed to be quite uncomfortable. Very small bathroom/toilet. Free WiFi but it was painfully slow. Great location- plenty of things to do within a short distance. Seemed a little expensive for what we got compared to other places in the area. Probably wouldn't stay again.

« Third stay here and will go back again »

This is my third stay here and I had a thoroughly enjoyable stay this time. The first time I stayed here I loved it but the second time was not as enjoyable. This time however was again as enjoyable as the first stay. Great service, comfortable bed, really quiet and spotlessly clean. The only thing that would have made this perfect would have been to have a desk in the room to use my laptop on. Everything was great and this room appears to have been recently refurbished so it was really nice. Great water pressure in the shower. I will stay again.

    « OK »

Stayed for four nights in Feb on business. The rooms are recently renovated and are very comfortable. Staff are great. Only complaint is the cost of meals here. Location is good, only 10 minute walk to shopping area. Overall, good value for money.

« The perfect place to stay when visiting Geelong »

My wife and I stayed here Valentines day. The room (45)has been upgraded with all new furniture and flat screen tv on the wall. New fridge and aircon. New bathroom. Really good value for a nights accomodation

« Great location, Loverly staff »

Stayed here on 13 and 14th Feb. '16. Room was great in terms of size and cleanliness. The lady on Saturdat night (13th) was just so nice and accommodating. Far too often I go to motels and you are made to feel that you are lucky they gave you a room as opposed to appreciaing your business. This place was totally different. It is attached to one of, if not the best fine dining restaurents in Geelong, The Empire Grill. Acomodation and dinning here...I challemge anyone to conclue anything other than an awesome expeience

« nice , clean, good location, great customer service »

We stayed in January 2016 for two nights, my husband, youngest son and myself. The room was clean and quiet, although a "larger" person would find it difficult to comfortably use the toilet due to the lack of space around the toilet in the bathroom. During the night the fridge was continuously making a higher than normal pitched noise which meant we had to turn up the television and it made it difficult to sleep. The next day I mentioned it to the owner Linda and then we went out for the day. When we came back we noticed our rooms fridge had been removed and placed outside on the nature strip to be picked up and when we got into our room we had a brand new fridge. Now I call that good customer service. I spoke to Linda about it later who was very down to earth and happy to help.. And I slept very well that night too.......nice and quiet. I would suggest that the car parks have room numbers painted on them, it was annoying that we had to park a distance away from our room, particularly when carrying luggage and dealing with others car noises. Overall, a good hotel, I would recommend it.

    « Great for a weekend getaway »

We recently stayed here for a weekend away in Geelong. We arrived a bit later and were greeted by the friendly staff who checked us in no fuss and offered information about what to do in Geelong and maps and locations. The room was quite large - we had one on the bottom floor near the restaurant and there was no issued with noise from the restaurant at all. The room has been refurbished and was neat and tidy. Bathroom also had been redone and was clean and new. It was close to walking distance to all the restaurants and the water front as well and easy for us to jump on the highway home. Overall a great stay at a great little motor inn. Would happily recommend..

« Gem that's close to the city »

Check in was helpful, friendly and quick, mini bar products available at office. Found it cheaper to book thru Expedia rather than direct. Steak house and bar located on site with room service available, breakfast available in room or continental in breakfast room, extra charges apply. Rooms are clean spacious and modern, shower has a large head with great pressure, tight turn to access toilet. Slight step into bathroom is well marked out making it easy to see. Bed was comfortable with fluffy pillows. As close to the road as this motel is I had little to no traffic noise. Reverse cycle heating and air conditioning, large window, dark block out curtains, foxtel and green tea are some of the room features. Outdoor pool area was lovely and inviting after a drive. Staff was helpful with special requests..

    « Cool clean comfortable . »

Great air conditioning with nice firm bed and all amenities.together with parking a most enjoyable stay.Breakfast room had all u could want with together with friendly staff and helpful owners.Highly recommend.

    « It's a BW »

We read the reviews in advance and noticed recent ones were a lot better than older ones so we decided to "risk it". We were not disappointed. It's a typical motel style accommodation with parking in front of the room. Our room was clean and modern with enough space for three. We had a friendly welcome at reception and got some extra information for walking to the city center. No complaints at all.

    « Clean and comfortable »

I would describe the Best Western Admiralty as a value for money quality motel. The spacious rooms appear to have been recently renovated and the furnishings are clean and comfortable. Tea and coffee making facilities and microwave are provided. There are no alcoholic beverages in the bar refrigerator. The bathroom is modern and clean. Breakfast is served in a dedicated breakfast room and is one of the better value and quality motel breakfasts I have had in quite some time. $14 for a continental breakfast or $18 for a cooked English breakfast including cereals, fruit etc. The motel is within walking distance of Cardinia Park. A very nice restaurant/grill is next door to the motel or alternatively, try the Centra (Carrington) Hotel, a five or six minute walk. I dined at the Centra and highly recommend it for an outstanding pub meal.

« Great place to stay in Geelong »

Stayed overnight here with a friend. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Room was big, nicely furnished and very clean. A little noisy close to the road but didn't affect our nights sleep. Much nicer than the big chain hotel I have stayed at previously in Geelong and at a fraction of the price. Definitely recommend. The restaurant was also excellent.

    « Comfortable and spacious »

Stayed here while in town for work. The room was really big actually and there was a small semi-private deck off the bedroom. The bathroom was generous and had a spa bath but the surrounding grout was a bit unclean. The lighting throughout the suite was quite garish; if you don't like fluorescent lights you may struggle. Softer bulbs and the addition of a lamp or two would really help. Sadly there was no microwave - I had read other reviews suggesting that these were provided so this was a bit of a let down. First coffee cup I grabbed was not clean - looked like someone had just had a drink and put it back! I would stay here again if I had to as it was a pleasant and peaceful stay, but my natural curiosity would probably see me try somewhere new next time.

    « Comfortable and Affordable »

Fleetwood Mac were in town and we needed somewhere handy to our pre-arranged bus route and this place fits the bill perfectly. I wish I could talk about the concert but oh well I'll say a few words about the Admiralty Inn instead. With a name like the Admiralty you would expect a nautical theme and they try to do this with the blue/white exterior colours and guardrail like upper floor balcony railings but that's where the similarities end. We were greeted on check on by a very knowledgable and friendly lady and our rooms, although basic, were very comfortable and had everything we needed. Only here for one night so didn't delve into my trip advisor notebook like I would normally do. Affordable and comfortable at its' average best!

« Very friendly, nice location but a little noisy »

Staff here were very friendly and helpful. Easy to find and parking is simple. Rooms are well appointed and spacious. Only reason I am not giving it more than 4 stars is I had a room at the front and it was a bit noisy through the night with traffic.

    « Friendly and convenient »

Had a great stay on a visit to Geelong for a concert in November 2015. The staff were extremely friendly and even called a taxi for us, and helpful in every way. Room was clean and well equipped with everything we could need. Will definitely stay again.

« Lovely hosts, renovated rooms »

The hosts are the loveliest people! Took an interest in why we were staying in geelong and remembered when we arrived. Felt like we were at home in the country! The rooms are spacious and super clean as they have been renovated tastefully. Plenty of parking space available. Extra blanket supplied which was good for a warm night instead of the doona. I accidentally left half my clothes in the cupboard as I was a scatter brain before sky diving and received a call not long after we left to let us know. Cannot fault this place! We will be back when we stay in geelong! Thank you Linda and Mark!

« Best value for money! »

We stayed here for one night before heading to great ocean room. The staff at reception are extremely friendly and helpful! We enjoyed talking with them! The rooms are renovated, clean and have everything you need. The bathroom is excellent! The bed is comfortable. We are very happy with our stay!

« Really great service and excellent location »

Had a great time here, the room was clean and quite big. The location is great, with just a short ten minute walk to the beach, restaurants and shops. The service is outstanding with really friendly staff who actually want you to enjoy your stay. I would definitely stay here again the next time I visit Geelong.

    « Good location n comfortable room. »

We stay only a nite the hotel n for three of us there were one double bed n one single...provided with coffee making n iron.Free parking in front of the room if downstairs...super easy cek in n out.We wish we stay is just 70 plus km to Melbourne airport. The hotel is situated along side a complaints of noise or whatever...One question though...we stayed in Spring..temp between 15 to 6 degrees celcius..not sure whether fans are provided during hot days or the heater could be switch to an aircon...anyway we will stay here again in Geelong n skip staying in Melbourne for a quite n serene environment...btw it is just less than an hour to the city centre.

« Nice people, hard beds »

Great service when booking, although we were told that no money would have came out of our account untill we got there and the receptionist took it out the day before anyway, rooms were a nice size and very clean! Bed was very hard, and impossible to have a shower either freezing cold or boiling hot nothing in between! But was very central and reasonably priced for the location, so for that reason we will more then likely consider staying again

« Great location, excellent value »

This motel has been renovated to provide modern comfortable accomodation. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed, with good free wifi. Walking distance to football and Geelong CBD. There are good eating options within walking distance. We would certainly stay here again.
