    « Position and price »

Located only less than ten minutes away from the city centre and the water, nice spacious and clean rooms, only problems the drainage in the shower was very slow... And very noisy neighbors, but this is not hotel's fault! Recommended!

    « Smart hotel »

Looks nothing like a hotel, it's a couple of town houses joined together, only 8 rooms available. However it is clean and comfortable with decent food. The area surrounding the hotel reflects recent history but is no problem and it is located close to the tourist harbour and old town area. The rooms reflect the building style, no square box. It is a definite go back to hotel.

« Good situation in city »

A very good place close to many attaractions. The best way from airport is bus 210 to central railway station and from there by minibus 100 to Targ Rybny , hotel Hilton stop. The bus departs from same side. There is only little walk from the final stop. And also in front of Hilton Hotel is departure point for boat cruises in harbour and river area, lasts 1 hour and costs 40 zloty. I recommend that and boat has good leather seats and big windows. Also on the other side of river you see a high Amber Wheel, where you see good view over the city and it is only 25 zloty. In hotel I recommend breakfast. You can not see on display my favourite scrampled eggs, but you get it, when you can ask it a girl. The kitchen made to me a very good ham omelette and that is included in breakfast. At the lobby you can take free cakes to room for coffee.

    « Good Hotel »

We arrived for a short stay 6 days , our room was on the first floor which was nice but quite noisy from the corridor, the beds were good ,the wifi didn't work too well in our room, apart from that we had free cakes everyday with our coffee you can help yourself at reception, the staff were all very pleasant .

« not the best "best western" »

Clearly, I am use to the arkon best western in Gdansk. This one has a totally different style. It is an old building an the rooms need to be renovated. You ca hear the neighboors even if they are not loud. The price are correct for the location (very close to the old town) but it is not a good place for business.

« All in all a very good hotel »

Stayed from Aug 11-Aug 14 The good: Nice room :: minibar :: nice bathroom :: safe in room :: nice and friendly staff :: very good breakfast :: Good beds (a bit on the firm side, still comfortable :: Wi-fi worked fine - there was also an output for wired internet (LAN) :: Within reasonable walking distance from restaurants, bars and the old town. The bad: Too much noise from corridor :: American Express card did not work (according to a waiter in a restaurant, this was a known problem in hotels and restaurants in Poland, so bring Visa or Master Card as a backup) :: Very small elevator Summary: All in all a very good hotel! Bardzo dobrze!

    « Great Hotel - very private »

This hotel is located very close to Old city of Gdan'sk. Close to all the attraction and the Summer Market that happens in Gdansk. We were able to book this hotel on a days notice. Great service as well. 4 of us had a nice big room with 2 beds.

    « Very good location »

The hotel is in a very walkable location to explore the city on foot. It is across the street from the Polish Post Office Museum. Walking in the same direction, you reach the pier with its many shops and restaurants. If you walk in the other direction, you reach the city centre, where many of the local population shop. My room does have a slight interior slope from the roof. I'm guessing this hotel was remodeled from an older building. Directly outside my room window, I can see a iron bird statue on the ledge. The room has an empty fridge which allows you to store eggs, bread butter for breakfast. I did not pay for the buffet and it looks good. At the reception, you can help yourself to a pastry, free of charge.

« Location and one more time - location »

Very good location, near the heart of the oldtown (5 minutes walk to the main atractions). Small, but nice, clean and cozy room. Mini fridge, few bottles of water always a nice touch. However might be abit hot during the sumer since has no AC

« Clean and simple and well located »

Does what it says on the tin. No frills, good location. Apart from a very persistent dog barking in one of the flats across the courtyard it was a lovely room in the centre of town. The rooms are slightly dated in style and amenities but clean and well looked after.

« Great value for money »

Great price and location, plus very welcoming staff. Old city hall is just around the corner. Basically, all the important spots are in a 15 min walking distance. The room was small but friendly and very clean. Comfortable double bed. All in all a very pleasent stay.

    « Good Location »

The hotel was reached easily. Easy 10 minute walk to central area. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent for myself, but a few of the males in the group would have liked to see some bacon, beans and a different type of sausage. A great touch by offering complimentary cakes in reception. Would definitely stay here again.

    « Weekend away »

Stayed here for 3 nights and I was very happy with the hotel. Never heard any noise and our room was very clean. I was really surprised on arrival how nice our room was, and I especially liked the exposed brick work. It's about 10 mins walk from old town, but it doesn't feel far. It was great value for our short break.

    « Nice stay »

It was a nice and quiet hotel, I really enjoyed it. However you can hear everything that's happening outside of your door.. But the hotel is in a 18th building so I guess it could be tolerated. At first, when I arrived, I thought the neighborhood was a bit shady, but that was probably because of the dark! I give it a 4 because the price was a bit stiff for a superior room.

    « Lovely hotel »

Located in a quiet street near the old town (about 10 minute walk from the old town centre). Rooms were quite small but plenty enough to sleep your nights. Bathroom was spacious. Everything was neat and tidy. Staff was really helpful. Breakfast was good and had lots to choose on. Free wifi which worked well.

    « Quiet location »

Hotel was 10-15 walk to old town on a quiet street, as previously noted in other reviews no air con in rooms and not much tea/coffee left in rooms, used in morning then not replenished when room cleaned. Rooms are nice and beds are comfortable, wifi was good on 3rd floor although had to log back in every time left the hotel. Breakfast was ok, lots to choose from but not replenished enough, breakfast advertised in room as exceptional Buffett breakfast show in pictures fried egg and bacon, however not available on 2 mornings l was there only hot food was sausages everything else a cold option.

    « Alex G »

Be aware that hotel doesn't have AC. Booked 2 nights and prepaid. After first night checked out. Lost 1 night which is $80 but could not stay with 80 degrees outside. I thing that 3 star hotel should warned people that they don't have AC. I would rather pay $10 more and stay somewhere else.

    « Overpriced hostel »

I would not recommend this hotel. Very expensive, yet there is no A/C. For the 3 of us we got 1 coffee packet and when I asked for more and left couple extra ones in the room, it was taken. I guess you have to share 1 coffee. The floor was swept in the middle and there were someone's fingernail trimmings everywhere around edges. Gross. The sink in the bathroom didn't drain. It's not really close to anywhere. It's in the middle of residential section. For the money they want, this is not the place to stay.

« Nice little quaint hotel »

Very nice, quaint hotel. Located 10/15 min walk from the centre. In summer months the rooms can be very hot even with the windows wide open which makes it difficult to sleep. Also, no chance of a lie in at this hotel as the courtyard part at the back was very noisy with people banging around. Breakfast was really nice and cheap but there are complimentary muffins in the reception which is a nice added touch.

    « Lovely hotel »

A very lovely small hotel near the Old Town. The room was quiet, clean and comfortable as well as the bathroom. The hotel is located a bit off the main roads but not far from the mall, the Old Town and station. I think probably I may stay here next time.

« Too bad, it's not so great anymore! »

I insisted to stay again at this hotel after a very good experience i had last year when I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanness of the room and hospitality. Unfortunately this year it seems that the management is changed and / or there are many new personnel who is not well trained. In one morning for instance, even though we had the " do not disturb" sign hanged on the door, we still got the maid bumping into the room. In other day, we found the room not cleaned, towels not changed, just the beds made (without having the bed sheets changed) , even though we have left on the door the sign saying " please make the room". Apart from that, on 3 out of 5 days of staying the internet was down or the router was not working. Also one of the ladies from the reception was very expediting with us, from day 1 (e.g. even when we asked for a map of the city when we arrived, she seemed to be disturbed upon this request). In addition, even though we had the request for a quiet room (we got the room indeed in the quiet side of the building), we were awaken since 7-8 AM by the vacuum cleaning machines or doors slapping. The hotel should pay more attention in maintaining the quiet especially for the guests who requested for this.

    « Hidden treasure »

First impression of the hotel was nice. Not to close to the noisy city center, but still a very good location in a quiet area. I had booked a regular double room for our 6 days stay in Gdansk, but was told upon arrival that we had been upgraded to a better room. And what a room; spacious and with a private alcove where the bed was located. Light coming in from the big roof windows, separate sitting area and a fantastic balcony outside. Think this must be one of the few hotels in Gdansk with a balcony like this! The room was nice and clean, and was cleaned every day during our stay. Good food at the hotel, and a very friendly staff, but I could easily have stayed another week just for the room:)

« Best western Bonum Hotel »

Fabulous hotel that is five minutes walk away from the centre of the old town. Fantastic service from all of the staff who were polite and extremely helpful at all times. Smallish toom, but plenty big enough for four nights, given the fact that Gdansk is so beautiful, you do not want to waste time in your room. Good sized bathroom and all of the hotel was kept spotlessly clean. Plenty of great restaurants nearby, and the area was buzzing and alive. Free fast Wi-Fi was available throughout the hotel free of charge. I would go back again without a doubt, as the price was also fantastic.

    « Staff attentive,helpful and friendly »

Room was on the small side, but the shower room big. Plenty of space for clothes etc. Very clean and warm. We had the window open the whole time we were there in April and no heating was needed! If there was any problem it was dealt with immediately!

    « Liked very much »

Everything was good, staff very polite and friendly. Room nice and clean (enough place for 3 Person upgrade ). Compliments> every day free water bottles in room. This was our first visit in Gdansk and have to say not the last. We liked very much.

« Hotel for a very relax stay and delicious BF »

It's not a big hotel. The rooms are very good and complete. Even the bathroom. It's a quite place, so good place to relax. The hotel is on a 5-minut walk from the old town and not far from a main street and the trainstation. Special mention for the great and delicious breakfast with a great variety of all kinds of foods. A suprise in the morning!

« Great place to stay in Gdansk! »

Very decent hotel, located walking distance away from the central square in Gdansk. I stayed there for 2 days, while on holiday. Decent quality rooms and very cheap. Perfect place to stay in Gdansk if you are on a short trip.

« Does Best Western Proud »

I've returned from a two night stay in Gdansk at the Bodum hotel. We stayed as part of a 'stag do' and it was pleasing to see they allowed such groups, often uncommon. We arrived following a taxi from the airport at 11am; we weren't able to check in but the hotel took our passports and completed all the administration work so upon our return at 3pm, collecting our bags and room key was a very simple process. The room was a good size and importantly clean. I was on the 3rd floor, accessible by stairs and lift. I had a double bed all to myself tucked away in the corner which was very comfortable. The view from the room was a car park of the nearby houses so nothing of note. The hotel is situated a 10 minute walk from the main square and you pass the fantastic Bunkier Bar which is one of the best nightclubs I've ever visited. There is a great choice of bars and eateries around Gdansk; the welcome addition of a new Hard Rock Cafe certainly cured two morning hangovers!! The hotel is in a mainly residential area, typically Eastern Europe with grim looking buildings but is very relaxed and comfortable to walk around (or stumble!!!) at any time of the day (or night!). The hotel reception is very welcoming. The bathroom in the hotel was spacious, like the room, stocked with plenty of towels and the pleasing addition of a bath and a shower!...The latter was one of the best I've ever had. There was even free cakes in reception when returning at 3am, rather drunk!!! A very good choice and certainly does the Best Western hotel brand proud. Recommended and would have no hesitation in booking again.

« Not safe at all! »

Hotel itself very nice with a good location. Decent price for what you get. The attitude of the staff a bit disappointing. At the second night of our stay they checked in a group of young males staying for bachelor party. One of the sudden a whole hotel became to be a football stadium with all banging and screaming. Situation behind the wall made me even scared to go to the reception in order to ask what was going on. Reception absolutely clueless and restless, ignoring totally what was going on. When I asked these guests to stay quiet, they kept knocking our door making a terrible argue with all shouting and even ready to start a fight with my partner. Made us feel completely intimidated. Staff did not even bothered to come upstairs to solve the issue. We ended up moved two floors higher (only because we demanded) into half sized room like it was our fault that the hotel is not able to solve the problem. Not even single apology later on. Everybody acted like nothing happened. No comment

« Really nice hotel for reasonable price »

Fast check-in and check- out, tasty breakfast. Walking distance to Old City. I stayed at Lux Room and it was quite big, divided on bedroom, living room and a large bathroom with the shower. From the living room was door to the terrace which in the summer could be a delectable addition.

    « Not happy campers »

Hotel wasn't bad, you got what you paid for, however the location was not in the best part of town. A little unnerving at night. The bar was an integral part of the restaurant, fortunately the night we used it we were the only customers in there. In fact we didn't see any other guests in the hotel. We checked out and moved further into town.

« A short stay at this Charming hotel »

Had a fabulous stay recently at this friendly hotel five minutes walk from the centre. We were upgraded to the attic room on arrival which my daughter absolutely loved with views into the old town. The staff are very friendly with big smiles which we find very important. I would recommend anyone to this hotel if visiting the beautiful city of Gdansk.

« Small hotel, good for business »

Small hotel conveniently located to only 5 minutes walking distance from Gdansk old town. Room was small but clean, as well as the bathroom. Breakfast sufficient even extra paid. Very good for short business trips.

« Good place to stay! »

The hotel is really close to the city center, takes about 5 minutes to get to the river bank. The rooms are really nice, I had one that was really big, right over the reception, it was absolutely amazing and comfortable! It looks as the hotel is made of two connected houses and it can be seen in the corridors, as there are stairs between the two, just in the middle of the floor. As the lift is only in one of them, older people may have some problems with getting their luggage to the further rooms. Breakfast is very good, incredible choice of food and very polite ladies, though it took them about 40 minutes to warm the coffee machine, so it was a problem for part of my group.

    « Comfortable »

I had a great time. Very comfortable, cheap and nice hotel with friendly staff. It it located relatively close to the old city, but still in a quiet zone. Free WIFI. The bathroom can be ordered with bathtub.

    « Excellent hotel »

We stayed for a long weekend. The rooms are comfortable. The location is excellent being 300 metres from both the old town and train station. Breakfast was included in the price. This was very good. All staff were very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone on a romantic break.

« Very clean and quiet. Staff very friendly. »

Roughly a half mile walk to Gdansk old town - very easy if you like walking. Trains, trams and buses within a 15 minute walk. Rooms are quite warm in the Summer but are supplied with a fan and a small aircon unit if in an apartment as we were. Very clean and tidy hotel. Breakfast was a very good buffet and very tasty. Taxi from the airport was roughly 20 minutes and cost us 70zl (approximately £12)

    « Good location »

The hotel is few minutes walk from the Gdansk center so it was very quiet. Our room was on the top floor was small, but clean. The staff was friendly. It was very hot in Poland when we stayed in the hotel, and it was boiling hot in our room as well. There was no air conditioning in the room, juts a fan. Unfortunately the fan had a very short cord and the only plug was quite far away from the bed so the fan was quite useless. There was no fridge in the room either, which was quite uncomfortable in such a hot weather.

« Quiet yet close to major attractions »

We were pleased with the hotel and friendly staff. The hotel is located off the beaten track, but just a few minutes walk to the river, restaurants, and shops. Additionally, it is close to the old town and all that has to offer. The rooms were pleasant, clean, and quiet. Breakfast is served downstairs on a lower level and contained many choices that were more than adequate. We would not hesitate to stay there again.
