« Very nice business hotel outside of city center »

The Best Western Arkon Park is a very nice hotel for a business stay. It is located in Oliwa, close to a newly forming business center and the Oliwa University Campus of Gdansk university. The surrounding is not really thrilling, if you would like to go for sightseeing, take a taxi into the city center. The hotel has a restaurant (polish dishes, crossover and burgers/pasta) with a kids corner. The restaurant also serves a very nice breakfast buffet. There is a small hotel bar as well, prices are reasonable and it is probably the only place to go there in the neighbourhood in the evenings. Rooms are very functional, modern, quiet and clean, TV with a significant number of German TV channels as well and there is complimentary water in the room as well. Pleasantly there was a sufficient number of hangers in the drawer, not a given nowadays. My bathroom had the shower in the bathtub, thus it was not really handicapped-friendly, but there might be special rooms available.

    « Didn't expected such a place »

Hotel is not in the city center, it's not even in a fancy area but it's great on the in side. I was suprised how spacious the room were. I had a corner room with two windows and a big bathroom. Something I didn't expected as usualy this kind of hotels I find super packed with rooms. Nothing like that in here. Everything clean and tidy and most important, big comfortable bed. The hotel restaurat had a poor selection of beers - oh well. The food on the other side... I had steak one night and a burger on the other. Great, solid portions of food.

    « Very comfortable hotel »

We have stayed there in August for 3 nights. We came to Gda?sk for our photo wedding session and we booked this hotel in a last minute. Room was spacious ,clean with very comfortable bed and the staff were extremely friendly. Breakfasts offer a good variety of quality foods & hot and cold beverages. Hotel itself is located in quiet area, however is in walking distance to train station where you can purchase tickets to the city center . We also used gym which was clean and well equipped. Overall very good place to stay!

« Great hotel for business »

Very quiet hotel not in a touristic area. The reception is working 24h and always with a smile. Restaurant menu is not that diverse but quality is good. Rooms are very modern and the gym is juts great with modern equipment. Possibility to do squash is also very good.

« Very comfortable and good hotel, ideal for Business »

I frequent the hotel regularly for business travel. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious. The rooms are very clean and housekeeping services are perfect. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. Staff are very helpful and polite and English fluent. The restaurant is very good but a bit expensive by Polish standards.

    « An ok Hotel »

overall hotel is okay, nice rooms. very clean. but breakfast is poor and service is medium. Hotel staff are nice but English language is a problem and tourist knowledge is poor. The area is very quiet and nothing is near it .

    « Nice hotel »

Nice hotel With Nice rooms and good breakfast. A bit to long for walking to see Gdansk or Sopot but taxi`s cheap so it didn`t matter. We got extra service With an "to go lunsjpack" since Our flight was leaving early in the morning and that lunsjpack was very good.

« Good value for the price »

We stayed here for 3 days and liked the hotel very much. The rooms are big and clean, furniture was new. Unfortunately it was rather noisy when someone opened the door in on of the rooms nearby. Train station is within 7-8 minutes on your 2 from the hotel. Important! There are no cafes or restraurants nearby, so better book a room with breakfast.

« Great time had by all »

I stayed at this hotel with a group of UK University Students whilst attending a conference at the University of Gdansk. The hotel wasn't in the best location for restaurants and bars etc but the fact it was clean, tidy and the staff were extremely friendly. It is close to the train station and is within walking distance of Oliwa Cathedral and one of the best dumpling restaurants in Gdansk. We had an excellent time and thanks to all staff who made our stay such a great one.

« Perfect for business trips »

I am a local at Arkon Park since 2013. The rooms are always clean and they are modern. The staff is really attentive and ensures the stay is enjoyable. The rates (especially outside Summer season) are really affordable, often around 200 PLN per night. The wifi is OK, but could be faster at peak hours. Biggest disadvantage is the food. The restaurant continues to serve low quality dishes at expensive rates (over 40 PLN for a pasta). Besides, this is my #1 destination in 3city area for business trip stays.

« Good for Business Trips »

I stayed here for 4 nights, 3 for work and 1 on holiday. The double room I got for myself was spacious, well maintained and functional. The bed might be a bit narrow for bigger people (my size being 185cm/ 80 kg). The bathroom was also satisfactory. WiFi worked well. Only one English channel (Euronews) is provided but German-speaking guests have a wider range of options. The hotel offers a salad-bar type of breakfast, where you can have enough food if you want to skip lunch. Some may find it funny to have Italian antipasti and desserts for tea time in the morning. Gdansk has only a poor public transport network for its airport. I got to the hotel with a suitcase in the trunk and paid about 61 Euro. Trains to Gdansk city center, beaches in Sopot and Gdynia are available in the nearby Oliwa train station. Next to it is the supermarket Alma, which is open for long hours. I walked for 7 minutes to a "Restauracja Czardasz", had great Hungarian food and beer for only PLZ 43. Those who have time are advised to cross the Oliwa station and visit the Oliwa cathedral. Regular sessions of organ play is available.

    « Good and clean »

A good hotel and very clean rooms, we had a seminar nearby so no time to sightseeing A car or taxi needed to go downtown or to the beach side. Not expensive, restaurant ok not so much choice prices ok. very good breakfast buffet a lot choices . Stayed in room 506 and when I kept the windows open at night a lot of noise from trains during the night so keep your window closed. Alway complimentary fruit at the reception desk.

« Great for business stay »

The service was very nice and helpful. Rooms are very spacious and stylish, bathroom was really kept clean. The beds are very comfortable, offered a good night's sleep. Breakfasts offer a good variety of quality foods, there was nothing to complain about.

« An ok place to stay, not luxury »

Stayed here on a business trip and the location was perfect, literally about 20 steps from my office. The only problem with the location was that there wasn't much else around other than offices. We had to travel into the center of Gdansk or Sopot for dinner. I found the room to be cold so used the duvets from both single beds. The heating system didn't seem to make sense. The bed itself was very comfortable and the pillows were fantastic! I slept very well once I warmed up. The room had everything you needed, even a kettle with tea and coffee which I appreciated. The walls however were very thin. I could here my colleague on the phone with a customer in the opposite room, he wasn't even next to me. This made me feel a little uncomfortable. Other than that the hotel was good, the design was nice and the breakfast had a good variety and standard. Would recommend for business travel but not a trip of any other kind.

    « Nice hotel »

I stayed at this hotel for a week and it was a very nice experience. Big, clean rooms, tastefully arranged. Breakfast was diverse with plenty to chose from. Staff was ok. The prices are really good. The only disadvantage is the distance to the center of Gdansk.

« Brand new, basic business hotel »

The hotel has been built recently, so everything is new and nice looking. It is a rather basic hotel, but has everything you need. It is perfect if you are on a business trip and visiting one of the near office parks. I spent only one day, so can't say much. The breakfast is nice, with wide variety. The beds are firm and sleep quality is ok. The room temperature is too high, but you can open windows. The AC didn't work, as it was winter. WiFI worked very well.

« Good price but not in the center »

Very helpful staff, especially at the restaurant. Located not in the center of Gdansk but close to railway station Gdansk-Oliwa and amazing garden - Park Oliwski. Free wi-fi, very good fitness center.

« Average stay, descent location, good price »

The hotel is structurally nice, rooms are small. Climate control did not work and room was hot. I left windows opened at night which made it noisy. Front desk is nice, but their understanding of English is moderate at best. I asked for directions to multiple places over my 4-night stay and ended up using google maps. The restaurant was out of items, and the staff did not understand when I told them I have an allergy. Every night, no one was at the bar. We waited every night and only tracked down someone one of those four nights. There were football (American soccer) teams there, and parties were going on both outside and inside. I finally called the front desk at 2 AM asking them to do something about the noise, which was all in common areas. The restaurant staff management was the most helpful at breakfast. The hotel is approximately 600 meters from the train station. If you stay here, plan on going to Sopot, Gdynia, or the old city for things to do and eat. Fitness center was very good, except the tv's on the machine did not work so I watched polish new in polish. Don't get me wrong, people at the hotel were trying to be helpful, but they just didn't understand. Next time I am considering staying in the city centre.

« Average place disoppoint us »

While in gdansk I got to stay first in oliwski and then in best western. I had great feeling about this but found it just a average item packed in nice wrapper. Looks good but the major disoppointment comes from house keeping. Food is also average. Only the reception staff us the plus point rest all just to show.

    « It's very nice and a reasonable price »

I stayed here with my mate Keith ( Mel couldn't make it ) in March 2015, the Hotel is near a place called Oliwa which is canny. From the outside of the Hotel it looks dead smart and modern and when you walk in you will not be disappointed. The staff on reception were all very helpful and never laughed at us when we tried to speak foreign, their was a small bowl of fruit on the desk but we're weren't sure if it was free and weren't up on Polish fruit prices so never indulged. Our room was on the third floor and overlooked the outside, it was clean and spacious with a nice big door for easy access , it had a one of those flat screen televisions like you can get at Brighthouse and two comfy beds for sleeping/ relaxing. The room also boasted a safe where you could store such valuables like passports, money, tights or cameras. We did eat in the Hotel but only things we bought from the nearby shop. As mentioned the Hotel is near a shop which has a battery operated frog that croaks when you walk through the door, it's sort of lighthearted security, the shop stocks everything you will need and some things you don't need depending on your needs. The location of the Hotel is great as you can easily walk to the train station and travel to Gdansk,Gdynia or the beautiful coastal City of Sopot all for a fair price. The facilities at Arkon Park are spot on, the Gym is first class with great equipment and a lovely sauna and steam room, please note if you use the sauna or steam room the Poles are quite liberal so watch where you look. Not far from the Hotel you can visit a huge zoo which costs about £3 to get in, it's packed full of animals that you don't usually see such as Giraffes, Meerkats and Snakes, watch out for the Monkeys I found them a bit snide and at one point felt bullied by one particular fellow. The Hotel bar in the lobby was champion and me and Keith enjoyed a few too many Potent Polish pints . This Hotel is superb in every aspect and no matter how many times we broke the safe in our room the staff never complained once, would that happen in England?. Many thanks to all the staff at Arkon Park for a cracking few nights away, a will be back soon with Mel. Almost forgot they have a Squash court for those who enjoy a Squash. Anyway ta very much.xx

    « Nice hotel »

Great bed, space room. Breakfast is good. Restaurant is okay, but not visited much. Location is good for business trip, but not near the center. But the train station is close, 800 meters... Helpful staff.
