"Reasonable airport hotel"

It is an airport convinently close to the airport, a few minutes by car with several petrol stations nearby which is also useful. What else to expect in a airport hotel? Good wifi and good breakfast. The breakfast was good no luxuries but adequate. The wifi connection in my room was terrible, I had to get close to the door to get a proper signal! I find this very annoying well into the 21 century! I dinned at the hotel and the food was very good. The room was confortable, clean and large.

Convenience was the key word to find a hotel near the airport for just 1 night. Yes, its close to the airport and a 7 € bus ticket which can be purchased in the hotel brings you in about 10 minutes to the airport... the rooms are very basic... no mini bar no fridge and my room 222 didn't even have glass curtains....all this for a price close to 160€ makes it not a great value for your money...I arrived a bit early and the blond lady behind the desk said the room was not ready... ok I ordered a beer and sat in front of the desk to wait until it was ready... no sign so after 1,5 hour asked her at 15.00 how about the room? She grabbed a key card and it was already ready long before... now if there was a throng of people waiting I can imagine... but this was not the case... I checked my room which was not the one I booked.... the restaurant is not bad though and its a good idea to make a reservation! Very average... and not like the usual BW standard....

Dorm room with extremely expensive pathetic food in the restaurant. No air conditioning, no fan, can't leave a window open to let fresh air in without leaving the drapes wide open. The beds were merely cots with a pad on them.

Best Western seemed to be the cheapest option to stay near Oslo airport during my recent business trip to Norway. It offers accomodation in fairly clean and well maintained rooms. The breakfast is good, while the frequent shuttle service ensures good connection with the airport.

This week we have stayed almost 3 times at same place and we really enjoyed location, small but clean room and good bed. The most memorable part is excellent breakfast which you will find very rare in Europe. Some of the front staff is very good and some I found quite moody and not helpful at all.

Rooms are modern, small but efficient. The hotel is some distance from the airport which requires using Bus 33 and a fee of about 140 NOK or $17 pe rcouple one way. There is nothing near the airport so you must relay on the hotel restaurant. Dinner was nicely presented and the food well cooked. I have no complaints with the food or the extensive Norwegian breakfast. Having the fire alarm go off at 1:00 am is not conducive to a good nights sleep, especially after a long flight. Complaints to the hotel produce no answer or apology and competing their review generated a pan response which was not satisfactory. Check in and out is slow as only one person man's the front desk. I would suggest using a different hotel.

"Disappointed "

I tried to call by phone this hotel for more than 1 hour without any answer. My flight was delayed and I wanted to be sure to check in. When I arrived they told me just 1 person was working in the front desk and he was really busy because he was in charge of the bar as well. We are speaking about a big airport hotel! Anyway in addition I think it's surreal also to not have any shuttle connection with the airport during the night. I had to pay 300 kr (over 30€) for a 5 min taxi. I don't think I will be back again in a Best Western.

Stayed at at the Oslo Best Western Airport Hotel when I landed in Oslo and again before I left to fly home. Very pleased with the food and the friendliness of the hotel staff. Definitely a great place to stay, lots of parking in the back and close to the airport.

"Avoid this 1-star hotel"

No air conditioning. No refrigerator. Broken window hinges. No nearby public transit. Expensive shuttle to airport with limited hours. No restaurant alternatives. There were bugs on the food in the breakfast buffet. Flies on the cold cuts, cheese, fruit and breads, I have pictures. No AC in the hotel kitchen area and the doors were wide open. This is a 1-star property, only suitable for an overnight from the airport. Very dissatisfied.

Just checked in. Took a little while as there was only one representive to take bar orders and to check guest in, we arrived at 5:45pm. The hotel is clean and simple. It does have A.C but you cannot control it in the room. It is a central system through the hotel. We did not take the shuttle to the hotel as I read that you could take a free shuttle to the furthest parking lot then walk to the hotel. We took the platform 9 bus shuttle to parking lot P5 then it was a 20 minutes walk on a bike path to the hotel. We backpack so it wasn't too bad, might not be a good idea for the elderly or families with small children. We will be taking the hotel shuttle tomorrow to catch our flight for 70Nok each to avoid walking in the heat before our flight home. Expect everything in Norway to be expensive. At some point people needs to stop complaining about the shuttle charge or how pricy the restaurant is, this is Norway one of the most expensive country in the world. All hotels have the same charge for airport shuttle. The only thing I can think of to shuts guest up is to bury the 70 nok into the booking price and give a ticket for the bus. They're still paying for it but out of sit out of mind I guess. What disappointed us was the room did not have everything that the website said it would have. It a little like a bait and switch. Room said it was supposed to have a mini bar and kettle station but it did not. We were on the first floor room 145; fairly close to the complimentary tea and coffee station at least. The hotel could use a new coat of paint as there were marks on the walls and the window did not close all the way. The staff were ok. Not welcoming and friendly as I expected from a Best Western. Will thing about other hotel chains before I come back to this best western or others as there are soo many out there.

"Good choice for airport hotel"

I stayed here one night after arriving late from the USA in June. The staff were pleasant and spoke good English. The room was larger than many hotels i have stayed in Norway and was very quiet. Be aware that many hotels don't have AC so if it's hot the room will be warm also. The shower was small but quite adequate. Great selection of food at breakfast--far better than many hotels i have stayed at even in the USA. There is a frequent shuttle opposite the main entrance for the airport terminal and costs about $10. A taxi is very expensive (mine was $65)--I took one because it was late and I was very tired but took the shuttle in the morning. You can buy tickets on board or at the hotel.

"Good, but cab be better."

Stayed for a day in a hotel and the first impression was OKish. Location - Is good if you have an early morning flight and if you are planning to spend an afternoon near the hotel then its horrible, nothing to do.Can't complain after all its an Airport hotel. From the Airport you get a shuttle to the hotel and you have to lose 70Kr per trip. I think its S33 shuttle and it goes to the hotel directly so it's fairly simple. Staff: - Friendly, its enough for me not. I didn't the passion towards what they are doing. Rooms - Dark, Temperature controls were not working also I didn't like the taste of water for some reason. Mat its just me. :), but for a night it was OK. Overall - I might look for other options and if only I am getting super cheap deals I will book this hotel again. No harm in staying here but no fun also.

The outer sweet not as convenient to use but shuttle to airport was 5 min which came every 20 min starting at 4:18 am in the morning which was great for early morning flight. 70 kroner per person was reasonable considering the currency conversion in this country. Some might disagree but considering what a taxi would cost which was about $30 for the same trip for two people, it was still reasonable.

Had an overnight stay at this hotel on my way back to London from Svalbard. The place is functional, very good for people who are in transit. The hotel is a 5-6 minute drive from Oslo Airport. In the morning and until late there's a shuttle bus every 20 minutes and it stops right outside the hotel. That is only 75 NOK. However, if you come really late at night (past midnight), there's no shuttle bus and the taxi fare is about 330 NOK.

This is a Budget hotel, newly renovated. As they changed everything they should remember that a good Nights sleep is VERY INPORTANT for hotel guests, on these mattresses that was not easy. I will not come back here

"Would highly recommend staying at this hotel"

Situated close to the airport, one needs to take the airport shuttle for which each passenger has to pay separately. Room was comfortable, cosy and very quiet with adequate space. Breakfast items were more than elaborate. Service was outstanding and the hotel staff went out of their way to treat us as special guests during our difficult time in Oslo. I would very highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay near the airport while in Oslo.

Hotel is located close to the airport. Shuttle is available but extra, 70krn. Room was clean, well equipped and quiet. Staff a bit young and not well trained. Restaurant was pricey but food quality was fine.

"Clean, but expensive hotel shuttle service"

Clean rooms, nice staff. Just by the runway, but the windows are very well isolated. You will hear airplanes close by if you open the window. It costs NOK 70 to get from the airport to the hotel (!). But since this is the only way to get there, I assume it's easy to make us pay a fortune. Sparse fitness facilities.

"A nice budget hotel with a good breakfast"

A nice place if you need to stay over near the Oslo Airport. We got a family room with 3 beds. The room was perhaps a bit too small for this, but we were happy anyways because of the good price we got. A nice and simple breakfast, and we also enjoyed the couches in the reception area where we releaxed while waiting for our flight the next day. Definitivly a place I will use again the next time I need a budget hotel near the airport.

"Alright for a night in transit."

Modern and slightly minimalist. Rather typical for many of the chain hotels in Norway. Rooms are adequately equipped, though neither particularly charming nor especially spacious. Wifi is fine, though a limited number of TV channels. The training room is basically equipped. Nothing really memorable about the place. The Gardermoen airport shuttle buss to the airport has its pick-up point right outside the hotel, takes about 10-15 minutes and costs 75 NOK.

"Functional."

The hotel is located according to Satnav just 4kms from the terminal or less than 10 mins drive.However the transfer by non Norwegian costs are pricey.3 adults at approx £7 $9 each.This is far better than taxi which I timed at 7 mins £36 $45. So the hotel is clean and functional .Checkin was quick.Room was clean but dated.No minibar.bathroom had under floor heating.The location is next to a car showroom (which isnt an issue).we ate at the restaurant.Note that this is Norway and reflected in the pricing.Room in breakfast was 1130Krone or £105. Breakfast had a decent offering.So 1 coke 2 "small" glasses of red , fish soup , burger and a pasta dish 885krone £85.food was of decent quality and staff were polite . No options for local eating so back to the terminal for alternative options.

"Good place to stay before early flight"

Although it's a bit away from the airport itself, and there is nothing to do in the area, the shuttle service is good to the airport and you can get on an early flight more easily than from central Oslo. The room. restaurant, and service are all fine..

"Smaller people in Norway?"

Everyone is different and everyone can have different experiences, this is just my opinion and my opinion alone. Since 214 I have essentially lived in hotels all across the world, around 500 different hotels, ranging from 5 star luxury to downright disgusting. As I am an avid user of TA, I hope this review helps. 5 = Excellent, exceptional in every aspect 4 = Very good 3 = OK, standard against most hotels 2 = Not very good, needs to be better than this 1 = Disgraceful Location: 4 5 minutes from OSL Transportation: 3 Shuttle service but you will pay a hefty price for what is only a 5-minute ride Hotel Appearance: 4 Typical Best Western fare with a Nordic touch Reception / check-in staff: 4 Very friendly, accommodating, very helpful Room type: 2 Booked standard room with twin beds Room size: 2 Very small Overall cleanliness: 4 Bed quality: 2 2 single beds, rock hard Bed Linen: 2 Dooner on bed quite thin, not good Pillow comfort: 2 only 1 thin small pillow on each bed Bathroom size: 2 Small, pokey Hotel provided toiletries: 1 Only a liquid soap vending machine on the wall, nothing else Water pressure: 5 Came pouring out, was amazing Hot / Cold water: 5 Glorious hot water, steaming hot, fantastic Shower / Bath size: 2 Tiny Slip-over rating: 3 Bathroom linens: 2 The towels were the size of hand towels, just awful Room cupboards / storage: 2 2 very tiny alcoves, couldn't really store anything Room heating / Air-conditioning: 4 Needed heating this stay, -5c outside, also able to open window if you like fresh air, nice Coffee & tea: 3 Did provide long-life milk which I prefer over powder Refrigerator: 2 They don't have them TV: 3 15 channels I think it was, ok Wi-Fi: 4 Fast, reliable Room security: 4 The safe: 1 They don't have safes In room Dining: N/A Restaurant Service: 3 One waiter only, big crowd of Americans to serve so she did quite well considering Restaurant quality of food: 3 Average quality, nothing to write home about, expensive, wow! Breakfast: 5 Buffet style, amazing Breakfast quality of food offered: 5 Not sure what happens between dinner and breakfast, but it's a whole new world. Such variety and very fresh, best of all, no additional cost, it's in the room rate. Bar Service: N/A Gym size: N/A Gym equipment: N/A Check out: 4 Again, exceptionally friendly and helpful Value for money: 3 I purchased at a good rate, it fitted the bill for a Best Western. Would I stay again: Yes Would I recommend: Depends on who Total out of 5: 3.06 Summary: Overall fairly average, but you get what you pay for. Aspects of it were great, like wi-fi, the water pressure and the hot water, incredible! and the breakfast service, amazing. But let down by pokey rooms, very ordinary beds and linens and the cost of F&B is astronomical, especially when you have no nearby outside choices.

I stayed here for one night to be closer to the airport on my last day. The facility was nice and clean. The staff were very helpful. I recommend staying here if you want to stay in a little bit more prior to your flight and be closer to the airport at a reasonable price.

"Functional choice"

I stayed here just for one night. The hotel can be reached easily by shuttle (70 NOK) from the airport. The room was clean, but the blanket was missing. At 10 am, the food in the breakfast buffet was not so fresh and scarce.

"Pathetic selection of breakfast. "

I'm sure this hotel aims to provide the best for travelers as it is located near to the airport. I'm glad that breakfast starts at 4am however the selection is pathetic as the choices are so limited. I do not see a point for having such early breakfast buffet operation when you can't provide that much food at wee hours.

Great location from the airport and easy access by public transit. No stores around for buying food, but their breakfast has the best selection I've ever seen in a hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. They have free tea and coffee.

"Beware! Extremely overpriced!"

First of all, the shuttle (the distance is only 2km) costs 70 NOK per person. This is insane. The hotel claims they can't do anything about this, as the company servicing the shuttle buses is private and not related to Best Western. So they can't have their own shuttle, available by a quick call to the hotel for example? I've never in my life had to pay for a hotel shuttle when the hotel is located just by the airport. Absurd. Second, the restaurant is really extremely overpriced, and the food barely has any taste. I ordered meat with hash browns, and the hash browns were definitely not hash browns. Maybe you should employ a chef that knows what he/she is actually cooking? Just a suggestion. And a small bottle of water (400ml) was 50 NOK (that's over 5 euros, for a bottle of water!). Third, the bed was dirty. Hairs and fabric residue all over the sheets. I'd suggest doing white laundry separately. Never Best Western again.

We stayed here just for 1 night as we're flying tomorrow.. It's a good location if you are finding a hotel which are near to Gardermoen Airport. - Room was big, clean and well equipped. - Gym room was also available. - Delicious breakfast served by the hotel.

"Easy stay"

Had a work related get-together at a nearby hotel and needed a place to stay. Did a quick search on a hotel site and ended up booking a night at Best Western at Gardermoen. Most people who stay here I presume are in transit at the Oslo Airport where this hotel is located next to. Big benefit of this area is the fact that most hotels etc are of a newer date and hence standards are good. Checked in at the reception, handled by a polite receptionist and was given the key-card to my room. Room was clean and tidy and had the amenities that I needed. Had breakfast in the morning which consisted of the usual continental stuff, something for all. Coffee was good! Id stay here again.

Yes you are required to pay NOK70 per trip for the shuttle, but still there is a good saving when comparing with the hotel that is within walking distance. Best breakfast for airport hotels. Fresh juices, even the fry eggs are decorated with bacon.

I found my room, the bed nicely made. But when sleeping in the bed I found the hairs. The trash was still in the room and the bed smelled like someone else his aftershave. In my opionion the cleaning lady just made the bed and put a new bathrope on the bed. Choose another hotel where they take you a bit more serieus.

Everything good about this hotel. No hassle of any kind. For night sleep this was as good as gets. The management deserves compliment of simplicity for guests that in airport hotel like this we are looking for rest and nothing more than that and they have it in order.

We liked this hotel very much. Short distance from airport and shuttle is reliable and comes at late and early hours. We stayed here twice and would do so again. Be prepared, the cost of the shuttle is surprisingly high, and is not free as it would be in the States.

Conveniently located hotel near Gardermoen airport. Excellent service, very quiet and comfortable rooms. Nice menu in the restaurant which opens rather late. Very nice choice at breakfast buffet, try the home made special drinks.

Oslo was full so we ended up sleeping in an airport hoitel the night before our meeting. You get there by bus from the airport and its the S33 from platform 39 (beware other information on the hotel website) A bit old fashioned but good for a single night, Un-exciting room , good breakfast

"Convenient to airport, but that's about it"

We stayed here for one night when we were flying out early the next day. First we were surprised by the "nominal" charge for the bus to the hotel -- pricier than we expected though I don't remember exactly how much now. (Though to be fair, everything in Norway seemed expensive.) Our family room was so small it was almost comical. It looked like a barracks with three twin beds lined up and barely enough room for us to manuever around them. There was really no room to put luggage for three people. Beds weren't particuarly comfortable and the bedding seemed like that of a cheap motel. We had dinner at the hotel and were extremely disappointed. One person's shrimp came undercooked (after a long wait when we were really tired) and then it took them so long to bring it back everyone else was finished. Food was overpriced and not that good. Breakfast on the other hand was great. Even though we had to get the more limited breakfast available at 4 am there was somethng for everyone in our group. We took a cab to the airport in the am and it was only slightly more expensive than getting the bus for four people, and more convenient for us.

Great hotel with breakfast from 4 am, which is nice when you're travelling. Clean room and bathroom. Good bed. Right across the road from Gardermoen Parking, which also is very convenient. Shuttle bus to and from the airport.

If you're looking for a hotel near Oslo Airport to stay for 1 night, you may consider this hotel. Transportation between airport and this hotel is convenience. An airport bus stop is just in front of the hotel and the bus runs every 20 minutes. Bus from/to airport takes about 5 minutes. I reserved a twin bed room and was surprised with the small size of the bed. It's about 30 inches wide (later on I found other hotel in Norway also provided twin bed in this small size, not sure if this is the standard setting in Norway). I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast provided by the hotel. Food was tasty and several types of fresh fruits were provided.

Stayed there twice. The first time not by choice. We had not make any reservations anywhere before arriving in Oslo, and were surprised that almost everything was full (this was a 'fly by the seat of our pants' trip, which didn't work too well). We paid a lot of money the first time for this room (more than for a luxury hotel back in California). But it was very clean and staff members were friendly. Beds were OK but smallish (twin size beds and a sleeper sofa). Bathroom had heated floors, which was nice, even for August and September. They offer free water, tea and coffee by the restaurant (not in the restaurant, which is printed in their booklet, but in a little hallway by the restaurant). Hotel was fairly quiet, considering it is near the airport. Breakfast was very good - they even had a waffle maker, which made great fresh waffles (you make these yourself, and some of the foreign guests didn't know what the batter was for so they put it in a cup and brought back to their tables. Eww). For another foreign guest, I showed her how to use a fork to flip the waffle out of the waffle maker and onto her plate). They have yogurt, fresh fruit, all types of cheeses, meats and jambs. Cereal, juices and eggs, too. The shuttle is quick and comes often. It is not free, but we asked about that when we called. It is fairly pricey, but it's a bus that goes a loop around and stops at a couple of stops in addition to the hotel. You can pay for your bus/shuttle tickets in a small machine at the airport, or on the bus itself (the buss does take credit cards also).

Clean, close to the airport. Nice staff. Breakfast starts at 4am, which was very helpful for us. Shuttle bus to and from the airport, starts 4am to 11pm. However, keep in mind that rooms are very small.

The rooms were small but sufficient, the location was great (3km from the airport) and the breakfast had everything your heart desires and more. The restaurant was also delicious. The cost of the shuttle was a bit expensive - 70 NOK per person

My family and i stayed for one night on way home from our holiday to Tenerife. After an expensive short bus transfer from the airport we got to the hotel, reception staff where friendly and helpful and check in was easy. We had a nice suite for the 5 of us and felt like walking into an IKEA showroom. Plus sides: hotel looks nice on the inside. Beds very comfortable, all slept very well. Free coffee 24hr Free WiFi, kept children entertained while here. Down sides: Food and drink very expensive (£11 pint of beer!) Tv in room only had 1 English channel. Breakfast not the greatest. Fried eggs were like rubber. All the hot food was only warm, not hot. Hotel in the middle of nowhere so nothing to do outside of the hotel. Would we stay again: No probably not as we won't return to Norway. Far too expensive country

We (three) spent one night in this hotel before taking the flight back to Italy. Comfortable hotel near the (far from Oslo) Gardemoen airport. Beautiful and minimalist exterior appearance. Staff ok. Great breakfast for variety and choice. The room we were given was too small for three people and Wi-fi was very, very poor. The shuttle bus from and to the airport costs 70 Nok (each, one way). Not cheap. After all not an unforgettable experience

Very decent hotel, everything you need to relax and get your energy back before heading to work. Room was nice and comfortable, not carpeted which personally I very much appreciate, the overall ambiance is nice. Breakfast was amazing with so many different options a real pleasure, the staff was well to the attention to its guests. On our last trip we arrived at Oslo at 02:00 am. The receptionist was very helpful and also provided information (at 2:00am) about transportation. The room was good and the bed was comfortable. As for the breakfast, there was a good variety.

The hotel itself was very nice and clean. The only problem was the expensive transfer to get there. But that's the standard of living in Norway, I guess... I was glad I booked it though, because we had an early flight, so at least could have some sleep. And, although not too fancy at that hour, breakfast starts at 04:00.

The main consideration in choosing this hotel was its proximity to the airport since there were six of us having to catch early morning flights. The rooms were quite small and badly ventilated due to us not being able to open the window on the first floor because of a lack of security with this window. he room phone also was out of order, so we had to walk to the front desk to ask questions about the room. We would probably not stay at this airport hotel again, but we have been quite pleased with other Best Western hotels in Europe, and thought that this one would also be quite above par, but it was not.

There were numerous reasons why you should avoid BW. Airport Shuttle was overpriced. Food in restaurant was tasteless and absolutely a ripoff. Sofa bed very uncomfortable to sleep in. View outside from windows were of a construction site. Gave us a really bad impression of Oslo.

I had a excellent stay at this hotel. The room was extremely comfortable and clean. I came in really late at night and the manager was very kind to let me stay past the standard check out time so that I could get some rest. The breakfast was outstanding, it was fit for a king! If you are in the Oslo airport area I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel!

The hotel was at an excellent location, close to the airport. The rooms were basic and very small, not much space to move around. Average size bathroom. Breakfast was very good, a variety of food. No coffee maker in the room but there is one in the lobby. Staff was professional and friendly.

Friendly staff, with a fairly good selection for breakfast. The airport bus doesn't stop for long (about 5 seconds), so make sure you out in front of the hotel.... and don't get caught out. We ended up getting a taxi. Not the hotel's fault of course. The hotel is fine if you are stoping over one night. On the way back, we stayed at a different airport hotel....

I know that Norwegian breakfasts are awesome having worked at a Mountain lodge in Norway for a summer in my 20s. But for a complimentary breakfast in a very expensive country the breakfast at budget friendly Best Western Norway at Gardemoen Oslo airport is overwhelming. I wish all Best Westerns could have this huge of a breakfast selection. I stayed here one night to make a connecting flight home from Europe. Never a fan of Oslo I just wanted to stay near the airport. It is an easy bus ride to the hotel on an airport bus (700 kr) which runs every 20 minutes. The hotel is neat and clean and surprising quiet considering it is adjacent to the runway and with construction going on next door. Also the staff is very friendly and helpful. There are several hotels surrounding this one but no real town within walking distance since this new modern airport was built far from the city of Oslo in a rural farming area. There is a restaurant at the hotel but I walked around to the other hotels and decided to try the one at the Clarion / Comfort conference center complex just for variety. I would stay here again.

Quick shuttle to airport, but there wasn't a shuttle between 11pm and 4am. Luckily airport info desk helped us find a shuttle that went to the hotel across the way, and the driver wasn't busy so he still drove us over. Walking would have required walking on side of street with no sidewalk. Hotel was sleek and very modern. Bar looked great even though we didn't use it. Rooms were also very modern....and clean. Great staff as well. Beds were a bit narrow by American twin standards, but we easily moved them together to make more comfort for my family of 3. My only disappointment was the free wifi. It worked for about 5 minutes on my phone, then didn't work the rest of the stay. I should have brought this up to the front desk but it was close to midnight and I was super tired. Would have been very useful after lots of travel, and it could be something people would really rely on. Anyway, the wifi worked the next morning but only on my laptop, not my phone. Breakfast really made my wife happy. It was a full on buffet with a great focus on healthy, quality food....not just eggs, bacon, danishes and sugary cereals. There was ALOT of great food choices that made us ooh and ahh just by looking at it, then meeting that expectation when it was consumed. Great job, we were very pleased with our overall stay and I'd give out 10 stars if it weren't for the wifi issues and lack of a full 24 hour shuttle service, both of which made me rate 9's on many of the survey questions.

Hotel has what you need, nothing extraordinary or special, close to airport would be the only reason to stay here. Breakfast buffet is very good having lots of choices including some fresh smoothies that were a nice change. But...if you aren't first in line for the waffle maker, you might as well forget it as you'll be standing in line forever. One waffle maker for a hotel that serves a lot of people is pretty weak. The shuttle is what really disappointed me and almost made us late to the airport. Reception told us it left ever 20 minutes so we allowed almost an hour before we actually needed to be at the airport. We went outside, waited and waited, went inside to see where the shuttle was and were told because the shuttle was running late, the driver probably decided to skip that particular run and will come by soon. It skipped 2 rotations! If we hadn't allowed an hour, we would have definitely been late. So DON'T assume the shuttle is on time! Plus its rather expensive....70 kroner, driver does not help you with your luggage.

Very good rooms for families of 4 with 2 large children, and great breakfast and fast and efficient shuttle to airport. Clea and good internet connection and great lobby to sit, but overall location is like in an industrial area, so no great views or environment which is sad for Norway

"Airport Hotel. New. Modern."

Nice, new, fully stocked with all amenities, hotel near - ya well, the airport. Helpful staff. Breakfast. Restaurant. Internet. Parking. And of course shuttle bus(es) Two actually. The many Airport Parking parking lots' bus and a regular traffic bus. Hotel is in transition. Is being expanded (July 2017) with an even never wing. There will not be less amenities after the completion I am sure. Nearby attractions: The Norwegian Armed Forces Aircraft Collection (open weekends only) and the Ullensaker Museum (Limited opening hours) Train to Oslo Centre from the airport. Takers about one hour.

Hi Folks, Like all Best Westerns everywhere, they offer early light breakfasts 4:00 AM to 6:00 AM and full breakfasts from 6:00 AM to 10:00(?) AM. "Accommodations were fine but the restaurant was not"

We used the Best Western Oslo Airport at Gardermoen for an overnight before a very early flight to London the following morning to connect to our flight home. Our room was fine, and to its credit, the hotel provided a very early but simple breakfast for those of us who had early flights. The hotel uses public buses for the transfers from/to the airport, and tickets are expensive for 3 kilometers each way and a 10-minute ride; however, the buses do run on schedule. Taxis, we were told, "are far more expensive with surcharges". The hotel is in the middle of nowhere, so to speak, so we were forced to have dinner at its restaurant. Now remember, this is a hotel affiliated with Best Western, not a Michelin 1-star or even an upscale restaurant. First, after arriving very early in the evening for dinner, our server asked if we had reservations; the restaurant was about one-third full so I have no idea what she was thinking. Second, after ordering a light dinner, she neglected to bring our order of pear ciders so we had to ask twice. Third, we ordered soup because the food was all ridiculously expensive, and there were not that many selections for vegetarians. The waitress told us the soup included bread.....after a very long wait, she finally brought us two tiny pieces of bread to share and a half bowl of soup each. Fourth, we stay at Best Westerns in the western U.S. when we are on road trips and are camping and need a break from our tent and sleeping bags, so I consequently have Platinum status with BW. At checkin, because the front desk did not have any platinum coupons to reward my "status" with BW, the front desk gave me a blue coupon and a gold coupon (blue and gold equaled platinum in this case). When I showed them to the server, she argued that she could not take two coupons to apply to our dinner; she then relented saying that since there were two of us, she could use them after all. After all these hassles, we paid cash because we did not want to spend any more time at this restaurant or deal again with a server who was not only ungracious and unwelcoming but incompetent. Further, this very light meal cost more than US$50. Best Westerns are typically a great deal if you're staying one night and want a clean and basic room. This hotel met those expectations but the restaurant and server were not only disappointing, but very annoying.

the hotel is not one of the cheapest and the airport hotel, so you could expect the stuff to speak at least English fluently. the rooms are small, but clean and well-equipped and quiet. The breakfast is nice, but if you are not the first, you might lack the choice, because the buffet is not refilled frequently.

I had a long layover in Oslo and chose to stay at Best Western Oslo Airport Hotell, and I'm glad I did. Staff is helpful and friendly, complimentary breakfast made my morning easier, and the contemporary rooms and lobby made my stay cozy and welcoming. Great stay!

The only downside is the small rooms. You will need to put your suitcase on your bed to use your things, then put it on the floor to sleep. BUT, the beds are good. Good pillows, good mattresses, good linens. The water pressure is excellent, and the wifi signal very strong. Breakfast is excellent. Lots of variety and of good quality.

A nice hotel near the airport. Maybe 10 minute drive to the terminal. Easy to find when driving and free parking in front of the hotel. Nice rooms, clean, quiet. Typical Norwegian hotel room, modern and comfortable.

I highly recommend this hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful. A shuttle comes to and from the airport every 20 minutes so it is very convenient. The breakfast is the best I have ever experienced and comes included in the room price.

If you happen to arrive at 23.45, as I did, the shuttle bus has ceased for the day and it will cost you 260NOK for a 4 minute taxi ride to the hotel. Then, even though you are disabled, as I am, other people will be allowed to jump the queue to the reception, leaving you standing in pain.

: Good cost/benefit ratio. We stayed just one night, while in transit (arrived at 10:20 PM and left at 8:00 A.M. next morning). The room had a good size, with a sofa bed included and a good size bathroom. The hotel looks very nice,( the hall and the restaurant). The breakfast was buffet type and it was really really good, and is included in the price of the room. The staff was friendly. If you arrive late, consider that the restaurant closes at 10:30 PM, so try to grab something at the airport before arriving to the hotel. You will need to pay for the shuttle bus around 10 dollars per person each way. Problem: The single beds were very narrow. (May 2017)

My principle complaint about this place is I chose it to save money and to have a convenient hotel close to the airport. The shuttle tacked on an additional 16$ and added 30 minutes to my trip (roundtrip).

We stayed for a night when taking an early flight next day. The hotel is conveniently located close to the G-parkering. When parked there, you can use complimentary shuttle bus to and from the airport. The room we got was clean, bed comfortable. Simple breakfast from 4 am was good too. All in all good stay and we will stay in this hotel again.

Room decor and functionality was terrible and the common areas where worn and dirty. There was only one plug in the room for charging devices; the desk was small, the couch uncomfortable and worn out, the shower was small and one of the doors was broken. There was no air conditioning. The business centre printer was out of ink. The location is close to the airport, but there are several other hotels close by which would likely be better.

We ate dinner there while laying over between a g-expedition cruise and an Icelandic Airlines flight home. I ordered the hamburger. It was $25 and the top of the bun had been toasted into an inedible brick. It came with a small handful of French fries. I asked for some mayonnaise. They brought two thimble sized portions and when the bill came I was horrified to learn that I was being charged $2.50 for each of the two tiny little cups of mayo. Everybody knows that everything in Norway is outrageously expensive but this was ridiculous. Albert R

This airport hotels, i had to change key 2 times and when the key worked someone already had the room so down again and get a new room... standard in room are pretty boring with a worn down interior, breakfast Ok but the restaurant in generell not very impressing

"Good choice for overnight airport stay"

If you find yourself with a stopover in Bergen with early morning flight out, this hotel is a good choice. Modern, well appointed rooms, nice restaurant and bar. Breakfast buffett wasn't much to write about. Bus shuttle S33 gets to this place within 5 minutes from the trrminal, and bus stops are well marked with times and destinations. The only thing is it will cost you 70.- nok each way per person (~ $8) - ripoff for such a short bus ride.

"Inaccurate order"

We did order for 4 persons, incl. one 1-year old and one 5-year old. Room was not prepared with extra beds. Had to put tables on each other to get space on the floor for kids beds. Not very helpful at front desk either. Did give us wrong information about food aviable at Hotel when we called from the airport, kids had to go to sleep hungry.

"Clean and stylish but average service"

Clean and average sized room. Perfectly located near oslo gardermoen airport. Go for a walk and watch the departing aircrafts. No special amenities or friendly service. Fresh and tasty breakfast. Perfect for a one night stay before departure. Overall the best choice near gardermoen airport, any other hotel around is either more expensive or under construction

Booked family room for 4 people. Room was extremely small with two twin beds and a small sofa bed for two. Terrible service, no internet working, no business center to print boarding passes, have to pay 70 Kr per person for shuttle to airport but breakfast is wonderful!

We choose this hotel to spent one night before going to the airport. It is very well comunicated, you have a bus to the airport about every 15' and you can take it at the frontdoor. From 4 to 6 am you have a light breakfast and from 6 to 10 you have a buffet. The staff are helpful and nice.

We were booked in for three night in order to catch up with family in the surrounding area. After a very tiring flight from Manchester to Oslo via Stavanger, it felt very relaxing and calm. The shuttle bus leaves stop 39 outside the Arrivals every 20 minutes and stops right outside the hotel (70kr pp per trip). We had dinner in the restaurant the first night which was ok and served by a very chirpy and informative young lady. The following night, we had a much cheaper Mini burger from their lounge menu, which was perfectly adequate. The beds were good, walk in shower, tea & coffee and kettle in the room. There was also free coffee/tea downstairs in the right hand corridor leading to the playroom. Good breakfast included in the price with a huge variety of warm and cold dishes, crispbread and waffles. Nothing to complain about from us.

Standard double room. It is convenient to get there from airport. Take the shuttle bus S33 from oslo airport, platfrom 39/40. But need to pay 70 Nok/ person. I thought shuttle from and to airport will be free for guest who stay airport hotel indeed. Other than the shuttle service, everything is fine. Some more the breakfast served is extremely nice. Staffs are helpful and kind.

OK hotel. It's cheap but you'll pay through the nose for the shuttle out there... There's also no option to eating in their dining room and it's really expensive for ordinary food. Pay a few bucks more and stay close to the airport itself.

This hotel is 5km from the terminal building by road. After walking there with bags I decided to take the shuttle bus back next day at a cost of 70NoK.- a better option. The hotel was well presented and the staff friendly and helpful. I liked my room with TV, tea and coffee making, and a comfortable bed and sofa. Having just completed the 54km Birkebeiner ski race, it was great to relax in style. I used the fitness room which had free weights and a treadmill together with other weight stations. This was a great additional feature. As I was catching an early flight back to Edinburgh, I had breakfast at 5 a.m. A "light breakfast" was available at this time and included in the cost (730NoK). I loved the food and had porridge, yoghurt, and a variety of fruit, together with coffee. There was a wide choice although cooked breakfasts are not served until 6 a.m. and cost extra.

When we got to the hotel, they said we hadn't paid, but we had. We had to pay again. 6 months later they continue to say they don't have records that far back. We prepaid and then paid again for three rooms for our party of 11. Nothing like paying twice for a so-so hotel. Ben

If you're getting a late flight forget about this place. I was left stranded at the airport and had to take a taxi to the Best Western hotel, that's some 3.5km's away from the terminal. The hotel itself is a bit shabby and the staff were totally disengaged when I arrived. They probably weren't expecting anyone past 11pm. I had to leave plenty of time in the morning to get the slow moving, overpriced shuttle to the airport again. An extra 30 mins I could have had in my totally charmless bedroom. I can report that with the extra hassle and cost of transfers, it's not worth the saving you get for staying at this clearly off-site budget chain hotel. Next time I'll try the Raddison that's walking distance from the terminal.

I got a fantastic rate of 80euro for bed and breakfast. Room is small but clean, excellent breakfast and friendly staff. Nice bar area in the evening but 10euros for a beer is typical for Norway. Regular shuttle bus for 70kroner. This hotel is at leat 100euro per night cheaper than Radisson or Park Inn and well worth the saving. Highly recommended by me as TA senior contributor

"Good Choice for Overnight Stay"

I was traveling from Norway to Canada and I had 12 hrs layover in Oslo airport. I decided to book a room for one night and I found the most reasonable price in this Hotel. The room wasn't excellent but very good for short-term stay. Very quiet and comfortable. The bathroom could be cleaner but I didn't care too much. I had to leave the Hotel in 4:30 (because I had a flight on 6:30) but fortunately they start serving breakfast on 4:00 am which means you can eat before leaving even if you have to check out too early. The Staff were all very friendly and they spoke English well. There is a shuttle bus every 30 mins from airport to Hotel (and opposite direction) which costs 70 NOK each direction.

I arrived for a signel night stopover in Oslo late in the evening. The hotel is located near the airport, but still so far away that you need a shuttle bus to get there - at a Norwegian price, which is high even for a Dane. The hotel seems slightly outdated - not worn, just not new and not in any way elegant or luxurious (which I guess is ok, considering the price). The breakfast was ok - DYI waffles and Norwegian mysost (brown cheese) was good, coffee and sausages not very memorable.

This was my third stay in this hotel and this will be the first review I write about my stays. Generally the hotel is a bit worn and the rooms are amongst the smallest I have experienced around Gardermoen with one exception. My stays have generally been average and below average and this time my room was not ready when I arrived...at 10PM(!!). The receptionist was friendly and helpful and I finally got a new room with Ok standard. Small and fairly clean with an OK bed. Not good, not bad but OK. The morning experience, however, ended up like most of my stays : The breakfast hall was so dark that it was nearly impossible to see the food and when I asked the waitress if we could turn up the lights she nodded, smiled and disappeared and the lights never changed. There were no info on what jams and yoghurt flavors there were, the waitress came in to the dining area carrying the bread with her bare hands placing it in the bread basket. Hygiene? The tables were a mess with no-one cleaning and when I tried to ask the waiter for cutlery and plates she did not understand what I was talking about. When I was checking out from the hotel, the girl in the reception did not arrive until after a few minutes waiting. She was not helpful with info regarding the bus and after payment she "could not" print the receipt I needed. After some complaining she finally printet my bill and suddenly, reluctantly, she was able to help me with info regarding the bus. I stay in this hotel because of work but I never choose this hotel for private travel. Price is amongst the lowest but the standard is too. I rather pay $20 extra for a better hotel with good beds, good breakfast and a service that is focused on the customer.

I was in late and out early from this hotel so I didn't have a lot of time in the hotel. The bus transfer from the airport was quick . It cost 70NOK which seemed reasonable. The hotel also had an early bird breakfast which was very useful. The room was well equipped and the bed was comfy. The room heating was also good. I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for a quick stop over.

"Good value one night stay in OSL"

The hotel is close to the airport as you would expect. The staff are really friendly, and the lobby/bar/restaurant are quite welcoming. I was a bit surprised that I had to pay for the shuttle (140 NOK return) to use an airport hotel. The rooms are compact, but clean, quiet and functional. I had a twin and found the bed a bit small. I had a bar snack instead of dinner, and it was a quality product, and despite being in Norway (often accused of being expensive) was very reasonably priced. Breakfast is good, but almost feels like you sit in an oversized meeting room to eat it. Hot and cold food, as you would expect, plus Norweigen specialities. A good experience, but for one night.

Quite pricey for the standard of amenities, but very clean, with pleasant staff. A hot room with no air conditioning and tiny pillows. It seemed quite a struggle to get an extra pillow, and we had to open a window to bring the temperature down and therefore suffered from plane noise. Breakfast was good though, but it was again expensive to catch the shuttle to the airport.

"A sensible choice for early fliers"

When we realized that Oslo's airport was a good hour from downtown, we decided to book a room here for our last night in Norway. It was a wise decision. We caught a shuttle from downtown (200 kroner) and spent an hour getting out to airport, where we had to catch another shuttle to the hotel (140 kroner). It was relatively early in the afternoon, so we had to wait until a room was ready. Fortunately, the hotel's lobby wifi was excellent and the room turned out to be quiet (despite the occasional jet takeoff), clean and comfortable. The hotel's restaurant had a limited but adequate dinner menu, and very friendly service. In the morning, breakfast was very good—the usual Scandinavian menu, enhanced with roasted potatoes. We checked out and caught the shuttle back to the airport with no fuss. The experience was good, and taught us something: if you're booked on an early-morning flight (especially when you're already sleep-deprived from jet lag), make sure to book yourself into an airport hotel the night before you leave.

"One night in Oslo ££££££"

Booked in to hotel eventually although the lovely lady on reception was very good ! Came down to eat later apparently one chef so no room for us ? Ended up paying for the shuttle and ate at the airport !!!!! Breakfast was good waffles very nice !! Could do with bath and shower not just shower surely can't be a water shortage there ? Few niggles but all in all staff good chamber maids polite and friendly !

"God price close to the Airport"

The room was big and clean. Had good Internet. Large working desk. The breakfast was OK. Some noise from the Airport, but since there is no night flying at Gardermoen this was not a problem. Tip: Consider taxi from the airport if traveling in a group. Shuttle bus is 70 NOK per person. I found good prices on Amoma.

"Great for a stop-over!"

I spent one night at this property in September of 2016 while flying between Copenhagen and Nurnberg. There is a frequent shuttle connecting the Hotel with the Airport and you are able to pay on-board via Credit Card. Check-in was quick and very professional, and the room is exactly what you would expect; clean, spacious and fully stocked! I left VERY early so am not able to comment on the breakfast. WIFI was steady and strong, (as well as free). Would definitely recommend.

It is very good hotel. Clean. The breakfast is nice - salmon, shrimp salad, etc. The nearest bus stop is within walking distance and the public transit matches the first class reputation of Norway. I would have given this hotel almost a full mark if a nasty problem had not occurred. There was a single dead fly on the floor when I opened my door (I have a photo to prove that if you request it.) The location was so conspicuous. How could that have been missed? My only conclusion is that my room was not vacuumed before I arrived. By the way, the pillows are not soft.

I allways stay here before a businesstripp storting With an early flight. Wake up to a Nice breakfast. leave the car at the hotell and get on the Shuttle bus to the airport. when you get back i nthe afternoon i can have dinner before i drive home. allways friendly and helping staff.

This is the BEST hotel I stayed one night among the other 3 I stayed around the airport hotel. It was quiet and elegant, the breakfast had abundant food with delicate taste and the service was perfect. Every staff seemed to be well trained and ready to help you with your questions. I was very satisfied. The extra bed for the third person is from a sofa bed, so it is not as good as the normal bed but it is alright.

Check in was good, the room was clean. However, customer service in the restaurant is HORRIBLE. Apparently asking for a single refill of water is an major inconvenience even with a grand total of 5 tables occupied. When leaving, there is a shuttle bus which takes all of 5 minutes. However, the charge is ~$10 per person. Most people who stay here (as opposed to the city of Oslo where there is much more to do) are catching flights, a shuttle bus should be standard. Nickel and diming is a bit much

This Hotel is very close to Oslo Gardemoen Airport, which makes this location ideal for those who are travelling and need a stop in Oslo. The hotel has a nice cosy atmosphere, as if in a much smaller hotel. The personnel at the reception is very friendly and professional. Rooms are clean and quiet. The hotel offer an excellent breakfast, with lots of warm dishes even at 6 in the morning.

This hotel is lovely. Everything is very clean and well-kept. The room was perfect for me. When I couldn't figure out how to connect to the wifi, the concierge was very gracious and showed me how to do it. I was able to take a long, hot shower and enjoy a good sleep during my 16 hour layover. The shuttle to and from the airport was very convenient, but you should know you have to buy a ticket - it's $8 one-way.

It does not look or act as a hotel that wants returning visitors. Poor beds, poor and expensive food and a lousy breakfast that we could not eat. After three reminders that we needed a gluten free alternative (upon ordering the room, arriving in the evening and when arriving for breakfast) they did not deliver. Despite the cardboard hostess that promised a great and healthy breakfast. Stay away.

We stayed at this hotel for one night as we were arriving in Oslo late at night. The hotel is standard Best Western with modern and clean rooms, though on the small side. The beds are comfortable and we had a great night's sleep. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was OK. The only issue if you're sensitive to smell (which I am) is the smell of fried breakfast that impregnates the lobby and corridors.

The facilities in it self was not that bad and the service from the personnel was good. But the hotel room had a strong centralized air conditioning that could not be turned off or adjusted from the room. Not only did it keep me from sleeping most of the night, but I was sick for days afterwards. The dinner I had was quite poor, but it was just before the kitchen closed. Breakfast was ok.

terrible value for money, terrible transportation to the hotel which is unreasonably expensive, and ran by a guy who is extremely rude; extremely old furniture in the rooms, not well taken care of hotel, very poor breakfast materials (the lower limits were stretched to prove that there could not be any worse breakfast given that the items to put there on breakfast table are so cheap).

We booked this place last minute on booking.com and got a great rate. The beds were comfy and the rooms were clean and normal sized for Norway (smallish, but ok). The bathroom was modern and nice. The breakfast buffet was complimentary and very good, though it was not well stocked when we were there.

The hotel gives the usual good comfort of all Best Western Hotels in the world. Good breakfast, nice room, good wi-fi. Just 10 minutes from the airport by a dedicated bus. The inside restaurant does not propose a long list of plates, but they are well prepared. I will use it again if again in transit in Oslo.

It was all we needed for a night before our flight. Clean room Comfortable bed, cozy comforters and pillows Adequate space, even in the shower Adequately equipped (good TV, kettle, 2 kinds of tea, coffee, soap/shampoo dispensers, enough towels) Quiet Very friendly personnel WIFI in the room We loved the breakfast buffet. So many options! On the negative side : there isn't much choice in terms of dinner menu.

Been ther. For a night, cost me 150euros for a little room with the basic things inside, as well the breakfast was terrible and really limited. And a last thing was the personal, I think the manager of this place should really trained them ! They were really not polite and bored..... Also , if you want to take the bus to drop you to the airport it will cost you about 10euros for 5 min.....ridiculous !

The charm of bestwestern and oslo was defentely not reflected in that hotel. However price was good value for money and location pretty quiet considering being next to airport. Simple room but with minimum required. Negative: no hotel shuttle or airport shuttle. Only private company running every 20 min. 70 nok for 3 min drive for 4 km is a real ripp off. Only credit cards or local currency nok. First time ever i have to pay shuttle to hotel.! No food service after 21:44. Little snack available but not much choice and again at oslo price€€€€€€. Good fast internet.

70 Norwegian krohn for a shuttle each way to/from the airport. The room was great although the single room was a double bed with a single duvet which was a little odd. There was a kettle in the room which has been rare to find in most of Europe. Such a pleasant surprise but some milk would've been a great addition too - especially since the dairy industry is booming in Norway, it seems like it would be readily available. Overall, a pleasant stay and the breakfast buffet was amazing. Loved the muesli/cereal bar too!

We just needed somewhere to stay for the night before flying out and this place fitted the bill. It was clean and the staff were polite. The room service menu was very limited with a 70 kroner room service fee (!) but there were snacks for purchase in the lobby. Breakfast was nice enough. Room was fine, pillows terrible but the bed was comfy. Taxi to airport was still around 260 kroner, but there is an airport shuttle leaving every twenty minutes run by hotel for 70kroner per person. All in all, an acceptable stay for what we were looking for, but relatively sterile in atmosphere.

Efficient check in with Hotels.com, a bit weird receptionist who had problems to explain both me and the guest before me how thw busses and internet worked. + for open restaurant with small diches until 2230. Okay food, good service. Good location and transfer to airport, value for the money but a bit dirty, not the room but reception and restaurant.

Best Western Oslo Airport has an excellent location, and great staff. The rooms are clean. Included is a very good breakfast which helps get you on your way when leaving in the morning. Also a good location to work out of.

We got very big room for 5 people and it was very convenient for us in order to spend a night before an early flight breakfast served from 4:00AM , which is helpful. 3 min drive from the terminal and a gas station nearby for the rental car return.

I've been accommodated in this hotel with two other friends for one night due to the long connection between our flights. We had a problem from the first minute; when we tried to check in and pay because we had dollars and euros cash not on a card and that represented a huge problem. With our money cash in our wallets we couldn't pay for our accommodation because they accepted just norwegian krone or card. After a dispute about how they should have specified this thing somewhere and how they are an airport hotel and more currencies should be accepted, we were told that in the morning someone else will come and they will see what they can do. We also have been told that we can go back to the airport to exchange the money - that meant around 70€ for the taxi again. We decided to see if we could solve it in the morning. The room was very disappointing also ! Inside was pretty cold, extremely small for 3 people with luggage and just two towels for 3 guests. In the morning we woke up early for the breakfast and for paying for our accommodation. The buffets were almost empty at 8:30 - and it was supposed to be closed at 10 - so we expected a lot of food to be there, at least in the early morning. No one did the refill for the buffets so we went back to our rooms as hungry as we came. I went to the reception to try to pay for our staying but the receptionist was not even listening! She was very rude explaining us that "things do not work this way" and if we have card, ok, if not we can't pay and that's all. I had to call back home, to put some more money on my credit card , so I could pay for our stay without losing another 70 € just to go to airport and to come back and pay. At the check out we asked for a taxi, with the mention that we have 5 luggage and we need something a bit bigger. We had a big surprise when a minivan for 14 people arrived ! I think that was kind of a bad joke, otherwise I can't explain what was she thinking about when she ordered such a car! The driver was really surprised too and asked us "where is the rest of the family?" Of course, this type of car had higher prices too. As a conclusion I do not recommend such a hotel! I noticed just minuses, but if u still decide to go make sure you have norwegian krone or money on your credit card; cash doesn't count! ??

I am not happy with the Best Western Oslo Airport Hotell. My husband, Travis Hoy, and I booked a room for the night of April 29th. We booked on hotels.com and we could either book a cheaper room with two twin beds (not even actually the size of a twin) or a more expensive room that had one King bed. We opted for the more expensive room with one King bed. When we arrived to the hotel we were given room keys to a room with two twin beds. We went back to the receptionist and told her we actually booked a king room and even showed her our confirmation email that clearly said one King bed. She told us all of their king bedrooms are full but then offered to show us a room with a single bed that's a lot smaller than a king. Then she proceeded (this is after midnight, mind you) to take us to a room to show it to us and she grabbed the keys for a room that somebody was already sleeping in. Awkward. So that obviously didn't work out either. We told her we wanted to be refunded at least the price difference from the two twins to the king room. She said she couldn't do that for us but that her colleague who was coming in at 7am could and that she would definitely tell her colleague about our situation so we could get it resolved. When we we to talk to the colleague in the morning she said she had no idea what we were talking about, hadn't heard about our situation, and that she also could not give us a refund but to write our name and number and email down and she would have the NEXT person do it who was coming in at 3:00. Do you think we ever heard from the 3:00 person after getting the run around from the two before? Of course not. They did not deal with this situation in a professional manner. It was so frustrating. They told us that since we already paid the full price for a king room it was harder for them to refund us the difference. Of course it is, they already have our money, they don't want to give it back! We have yet to hear from anyone to resolve this issue.

This is a pure airport hotel, it's ok for a night or two. Rooms are good, beds are so nice and soft. The staff is friendly. From the airport there's a shuffle bus that takes you to the place. The hotel is about 4,5 km from the airport close to a parking place. Taxi from this place doesn't really allow you the permanent rates from airport to wherever. Again, absolutely ok!

"Poor room"

The entrance and restaurant is nice enough, reception a bit slow because of problems with the computer. The room was simple naff, poor decor with a empty feel to it, the bed is rubbish, no support with naff cheap pillow make for poor nights sleep, along with no aircon in the room. Wouldn't stay again.

OK hotel for staying transit / layover stays. Also good for organizations and smaller business meetings. Located near Oslo Airport Gardermoen (OSL). Not within walking distance from OSL. 10 min. shuttle bus ride, needed. OK if you need the bare essentials; good shower, clean bed and something to eat.

We booked a Junior Suite because we have 3 lilttle kids. The room was spacious but unappeling, because of the colors and illumination we felt more like in a hospital room than in a hotel. I completely agree with the review that equals the Junior Suite to a Wheel Chair room. Breakfast had enough options to choose from, but taste was just adequate. What really bothered us was the low level of cleanliness, we found huge amounts of dust under the sofa that doubled as bed, we found recent shampoo stains on the wall, and the air filter on the ceiling was covered with lots of dust too. We travel a lot, and understand that is hard to keep room 100% clean and immaculate, but this time we had to complain. Normally one wants to return to the hotel room after a tiring day and relax, this was not our case. What we really liked from this property was the kindness and courtesy from the staff at the reception and the restaurant, they were very nice and helpful.

"Junior suite = wheel chair room?"

I booked a Junior suite but got a room specially made for wheel chair users. The interior was very simple, not what you would expect in a "suite". No curtain in the shower so a lot of splashing. Not a very cozy lighting in the room unless you turn off the light in the celing, but then it gets very dark. Curtains lets too much light in. Not much to hear from the aircrafts flying nearby, but you can hear people talk in the room next door. A big flat screen TV but no good reception. Working desk, free internet and a clean spacious room is all fine, but no "suite" feeling. Only one pillow per person. Change the desription to "family room"! On the day of departure it had been snowing one foot (30 cm) of snow and the guy clearing snow outside also helped us getting in to our car, very Nice thank you! OK breakfast buffet. Welcoming staff. A bit pricy it is on this location.

One night stopover for a short business trip. First experience of Norway, prices in general are high, not the hotels fault! Otherwise, hotel was fairly busy, but all staff were friendly, room clean and warm. Food was good, breakfast was not Tommy personal liking, but that doesn't say there was anything actually wrong with it!

This hotel is located off the airport area and as such you will need a shuttle. The shuttle is 70 NOK per way so that will increase the price by 140 of the otherwise reasonably priced hotel. The rooms has what a room needs - clean and tidy but do not expect excelsior standards - though that's not a problem since you most likely are in need of a place to sleep. Since there is not much else there you will not have problems with noise etc. The restaurant is actually very decent and has nice service and, considering the place, very nice food at OK prices. The breakfast is there, but hopefully you will not need to go a full day since it works mostly for topping off before moving on. All in all it is a nice place, the price is ok but the location is rather poor - if you are flying out.

Stayed ovrnight before our flight back home. Nothing special about the hotel, it is close enought to the airport, shuttle rund every 20 mins, it's abit expensive to be honest, but handy. Restaurant and bar available, did not have dinner as prices were ridiculous. Service at the bar was nice, wine not so much :) As we travelled with children, the playroom was great, as rooms were relatively small. Also, we did not get all our rooms on time, had to wait over 30 min for cleaning to be done. Rooms itself were clean and nice, but all in all -- it 's good for a stopover and not meant for vacation :)

"Very expensive shuttle bus to the hotel"

Very disappointed. We booked this hotel so we would be close to the airport. We had to pay 70kr each to get to the hotel with the hotel's shuttle bus. Then, we were told, in order to go to Oslo's city centre, we had to take the shuttle and pay 70kr again to get to the airport and take another bus/train. Same thing when we came back to the hotel. The next day, when we were flying out, we paid another 70kr. We would of been better off paying a little extra for the Radisson Blue Hotel which is literally at the airport and is a much nicer hotel. Total for the shuttle bus: 280kr per person = 90$ Canadian for 2 persons... When you think it almost cost us the same price as the hotel room!

Stayed just for 1 night (1 adult +1 kid 3 yo), close to the airport (about 5-7 min by bus). Simple and cosy, very nice room, it's not spacious, but has all nessesary, extremely clean, very god breakfast. Thanks a lot for nice staying!

"Transferred to another hotel upon arrival "

I had read on here that someone had been transferred to another hotel because of overbooking. However, I decided to still book this hotel for a night because Best Western answered that this was not standard procedure. Well guess what? I was transferred to a lower quality hotel upon arrival because of "technical issues". I was vaguely shown where the other hotel was and found myself walking around roads with no sidewalks by 0C weather at midnight... Two other people had been transferred that night. I checked the price of the new hotel (Gardermoen airport hotel) and the price of a room is a lot lower than the price of a room at Best Western. I'm disappointed to have paid for something that I didn't get. Do not book rooms in this hotel, overbooking seems to be standard procedure after all.

Hello, we are deeply sorry that you were transferred to another hotel, even this have happened before, it is absolutely NOT something we spekulate in! And if we transfer guests to another hotel, it is usually a very good neighbor hotel, with the same standard and the same rate as ours, but there is very seldom we need to move our guest to other hotels in general! However this particular night, all of the hotels in this area were fully booked, and we got an error with one of our third party booking channels, and even if we had closed for bookings, guest could still book rooms. Unfortunately this is a problem that ones in a while occurs for hotels in general. Anyway this happend and we then got overbooked and had to fix the problem. And that is why we had to tranfer a few guests to this other hotel. Again, I am glad you got the difference regarding the price transferred back to you. And please do not hesitate to get in touch with me if you have any questions. If you want to book a room with us another time, we will give you the room for free!

"Amazingly brilliant"

We stayed for three nights on our way to USA. From the moment that we arrived in reception, at one in the morning we were made to feel at home. The huge reception hall was sparkling with a multitude of flickering candles. The reception staff were warm and welcoming. The room was beautifully furnished with everything that travellers need. Luxurious cotton sheets duvets and soft pillows ..we had four each, and a wonderful soft mattress.The breakfast was five star plus. Cereals and yogurt fruits cheeses smoked salmon and herring fried eggs and bacon potatoes ham and much more. The food is freshly cooked and exquisitely presented. Restaurant open until 10.00am,11.00 am on Sunday..nice touch.The hotel is immacutely clean and the staff in all departments can not do enough to help and always with a smile. Thank you Best Western, let the competition try and match that!

"Room Reservation not honoured,moved to substandard hotel"

Arrived at 10.30pm last night after 34 hour trip from Australia to find the hotel saying they were overbooked and that they had transferred my fully prepaid reservation to another property.Another guest checked in just after me and was given a room so I presume that the hotel was walking guests who had booked lower rates /oversold as they could get higher last minute rates The hotel I was transferred to was basically a 32 room guest house with no fitness facility,a room less than half the size of the standard rooms at the BW and a single bed about two-thirds the size of a regular single bed -it reminded me of a bed in a hostel from my younger days. If a hotel is going to overbook and walk a customer who has already paid for a room of a particular size and standard at a hotel with particular amenities then it is very poor service to move that customer to a lower quality hotel without standard amenities. Find an alternate hotel of equal or higher standard for the guest that you are inconveniencing. Compare the photos of the hotel they transferred me to those of the room I actually paid for on the BW website Not at all impressed with this property and very much doubt that the two reservations that I have prepaid for this hotel in the next two months will remain at this hotel.

After 18 hours in the air I was hungry and tired. The food was surprisingly good and a good Italian wine suggested by a sweet Swedish waiter made my night! I slept like a dog on a good, but narrow bed, and was ready for my meeting the next day.

Nice, clean rom, quiet athmosphere. Orderen a bottle of wine in the bar with two glasses. The wine was way too warm, and one of the glasses really dirty. Told the barkeeeper, who said he doubted that the wine was as warm as I said... No excuse or sorry for either the wine or the glass! We had dinner in the restaurant, two different courses, one meat and one fish, served with exactly the same kind of vegetables and not according to the menu. And the Chocolate fondant for dessert was served with cheap, vanilla ice cream instead of fruity sorbet as it said in the menu! When we asked the waiter he just said We don't have sorbet. No sorrrys, no excuses, no nothing! Sendt an email to the hotel almost a week ago about this, no response. My advise; stay away! Wining, dining and sleeping is expensive in Norway, a minimum of service should be provided for the money!!

"Convenient if transitting"

I stayed at the Best Western for 2 nights while transitting in and out of Oslo. Firstly I remember getting a good rate. Secondly it was a blessing since Lufthansa lost my luggage, and I was close enough to the airport to get there very early next morning to get it. As hotels go - it was good. Very friendly front desk staff. A comfortable room. And a good breakfast. Not over the top, but good enough when travelling. The coffee/ tea counter in the dining area was helpful as they dont have coffee makers in the rooms.As I got in late I didnt get to use wifi or any of the amenities.If you get in very late - eat at the airport & then get to the hotel. If you are leaving very early, its a partial breakker.Thats ok. Getting to and from the hotel too, was easy...bus No 33 from stop No 37...almost at arrivals exit. And the bus stops bang in front of the hotel. From the hotel it is every 20 mins from 4 am on.Thats the good news. The bad news is for those who want to make use of their half day in Oslo during the midnight sun days. You would have to go back to the airport and catch transport into the city & back the same way - via the airport. A bit tedious after a long flight. If there is an underground station close by, i wasnt told about it when I asked. i was told to take the bus. all in all, it is a good deal for transit passengers.

"Good Price for Norway, Close to Airport"

Good price for a hotel in Norway. The full breakfast buffet (4:00 am partial, 6:00 am full) was good but not great. Lobby of the hotel was pleasant. Friendly and easy evening Check-in but morning receptionist did not speak English during Check-out so I couldn't get an answer about my bill until after 8am. (I had to leave at 7am) They charged me correctly though. Room was very clean but poor lighting in the bedroom area. However large bathroom had excellent lighting. Solo room had a small couch. Hotel located near the airport. Take Shuttle S33 at Platform B37 right outside Arrivals door. Pay 70NOK cash/credit on the bus. Purchase Shuttle ticket to Airport at the Hotel Desk to save time. Bus runs on time. From Airport to Hotel about 15 minutes - from hotel to airport about 7 minutes due to the order of the other hotel stops.
