Best Western Plus Fuzhou Fortune Hotel

This is a very good hotel with large rooms. In January 2018 we stayed 2 nights including breakfast in a non-smoking room with king bed. Front desk staff spoke limited but adequate English. Breakfast buffet had a variety of choices including omelet made to order. Restaurant menu offered expected choices and food was tasty. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was very modern. WiFi worked fine. Excellent value.

There was some limitation on non smoking rooms so we could only get one non smoking room. We did have the sense that even on the non smoking floors that smoking occurred due to the smell in rooms and ashtrays in the hallways. The staff however were helpful and efficient.

No A/C they brought me a fan, cold Coffee,warm milk and under cooked meat. After a 12 day stay with no clean sheets, no floors or carpet cleaned and refrigerator turned off each day I would reccomend changes. I was charged over a $100.00 for tips and gratuities at check out still scratching my head on that.

We had the opportunity to visit Fuzhou recently during the Lunar New Year period. We stayed at the Best Western Fuzhou Fortune Hotel. The hotel is clean and well maintained. The beds are comfortable. Toiletries and drinking water are replenished daily. It came with complimentary breakfast which serves buffet which cater to local and foreign visitors. If you are adventurous enough to try the local cuisines, do venture out to nearby eateries which the locals frequent. Fast food eateries are also available within walking distance. To visit the popular tourist attraction, you may opt for bicycle rental or the affordable taxi rides. Taxi are usually metered. Ensure that you check before you get in the cab. Otherwise do get the concierge to get you a taxi if you are unsure. I highly recommend this hotel for leisure and business.

Of all the Best Western chain hotel in china, this hotel offers the best service in terms of staff helpfulness and room confort. Buffet Breakfast spread one of the best, amount the group the variety is extensive.Price charged is reasonable. However if on a business trip, Their wifi and internet connection is relatively slow. Nice large confortable bed with functionaly bath room.

I stayed 2 nights at the Best Western Fuzhou Fortune Hotel. Since it was my first trip to Fuzhou, I can't compare it with other hotels in the city, but the rooms were clean, functional and fairly large, and even came with a computer. There was free wi-fi but my room had blind spots and the signal was intermittently weak - but that's a common problem everywhere. For your notebook, there's a LAN cable. For some reason during both nights I stayed there, the room became rather stuffy and warm in the middle of the night, and my attempts to adjust the air-conditioner didn't help. I suspect the air-conditioning was cut off, because the room felt cool when I first came back after dinner. Like the room, the hotel was clean and functional, as a business hotel should be. The buffet breakfast was like your average hotel breakfast. The staff were polite, but I did not test their English proficiency.

We stayed here whilst visiting our son in Fuzhou. It is centrally situated but I would say more suited to business than tourism. After arriving late we checked in with the help of our son as the staff did not speak English. The first room we had smelt of smoke. There was no problem in changing rooms to the non smoking floor the next day. Breakfast is extensive. The hotel is on a busy main road so no problems getting taxis. Bed was reasonably comfortable and not too hard. The lack of English does make things difficult, but that's the same everywhere in Fuzhou. Fuzhou is a lovely city with many parks. The people are very friendly and intrigued by westerners, you have to be prepared to be stared at and photographed regularly. The service was excellent and staff very friendly, just with communication difficulties.

The hotel is conveniently located a short distance from train and bus station. The airport is anyway far from the city. We arrived at the hotel in late evening & the check in was smooth. The room was average, but then considering what you were paying, it was still good value for money. Everything about this hotel is average and nothing stands out as very good or very bad. The hotel has a Korean restaurant adjacent to it and the food is OK. It was funny when we asked to go to Sauna. Everyone gave us some strange looks and then I realized that it was not really the Sauna Sauna. LOLz. We were told that it is only for single men. The sleep was good and the staff is very nice and always eager to help.

Stayed at both Best Westerns in Fuzhou, both are very nice, but the Fortune is the better choice. Rooms are much larger, very comfortable bed, AC worked well, wi-fi free and fast, good western choices for breakfast and the price can't be beat, paid about $65 a night including 2 breakfasts. Staff is always smiling with a very polite, Good Morning, or Hello. I was traveling with my Chinese business partner so it is pretty easy for me as she can as any questions I can not. This hotel has quite a few staff that speak english, called room service to ask for ice in Chinese-about the only thing I know how to say and they answered me in English. I did not notice anyone in the Best Western Premiere that could speak english so if you need a hotel that you can communicate with the Best Western Fortune is the choice for you. Excellent service, great room, comfy bed at an amazing price!
