Best Western White Mountain Inn

Spent the night here while seeing the nearby Ice Castles. The place is right off the highway so it's easy to find and convenient for going to other places. Only stayed the one night so didn't get to do a whole lot there, but I did get to use the indoor swimming pool they had. The water wasn't super warm, but it wasn't too cold and once you're in for a bit it felt fine. It was actually a nice swim, which we deliberately got up there shortly after check in time to have time for a swim before going to the Ice Castles. The room itself wasn't anything special, but there wasn't anything wrong with it. They also offered a free breakfast in the morning, which is always a plus for me. Overall it's an average hotel in a convenient location, and if I needed a place to stay in the area I would stay there again.

I have stayed here in the past and loved it but ten years makes a difference I guess. The rooms smelled like smoke and dirty the ac unit didn't work. The staff seemed like you bothered them and could care less what was happening. I love best western but this particular one was not the best western standard.

Great location but we couldn't get past the awful smells. I'm unsure how to explain it, maybe someone was cooking something then they tried covering it up with chemicals or a deodorizer, mixed with bad body odor. Just pungent, throughout the hotel as soon as we walked in and it started seeping into our room. The beds/pillows are standard, not really comfortable. There was old nail glue and gum on the wall, the end of the toilet paper roll, and dirty bathroom floor so the cleaning crew is not very thorough. The rooms/bathrooms could use an update as the tubs in both bathrooms were beyond a good scrubbing and gross shower curtains and room curtains were moldy. Kids enjoyed the pool, nothing fancy but fine for a little playtime, towels are mini. Breakfast was so-so, no one really enjoyed the hot food, including waffles, they stuck with cereal -- again, the smells just ruined it for us. I chose it because it was right in the middle of Bretton Woods and Loon Mtn and close to our friend's Airbnb but will never stay there again.

This would be the 820th review of this hotel according to your stats. We say it is way better than some of your critics on Trip Advisor claim. We found the room and facilities to be quite adequate, and a 'good value' in what can be a high priced vacation area. The only reason for less than a 5 star rating was that carpet vacuuming could be improved (halls, entrance, less so in rooms) and some more staffing is needed. My impression is that the hotel is understaffed. The staff we encountered was courteous and helpful but the overall circumstance (cleanliness, carpets, breakfast area, trash removal, etc.) is just understaffed. Not atrocious -- just needs manpower. Now let's talk about the specific horror stories in other reviews that almost caused us to stay somewhere else: 1) Bugs: Bull crap. These beds were VERY clean no signs of any kind of vermin anywhere. 2) Stains and spills and blood on the walls = BULL CRAP. Our room and all the areas we saw in the building were devoid of any such issues. Clean, well maintained. 3) Non-Functioning devices: Nonsense. Our microwave and fridge and TV all worked well. I've seen much worse in higher priced places. 4) Odors: no nasty odors in our 4 nights there. NONE. 5) Heat: worked very well. Enjoyably simple to operate , responsive to our settings and reasonably quiet. Example: at very first arrival I had misinterpreted the labeling on the heat controls (label above versus label below a button). The front desk lady was there almost before I hung up the phone, showed me how to use the controls and made sure all was well before leaving. Finally, this is an older facility showing its' age in some ways, not the very latest flashy decor, but not at all substandard, not deficient, not 'run-down' by any stretch. Our room (2 queens) may be some kind of exception BUT it was clean, everything in it worked well, the shower and toilet facilities were great, nothing broken, nothing missing, nothing obnoxious in any way. I say it is a very good value. We were there 4 nights.

A place with a good location, cozy beds, very good air conditioning, good customer service, would only change the aroma of the rooms. Average breakfast. Easy access and parking spaces very close by. A good place for short stay.

Filthy room: toe mail clippings and food on carpet, pubic hair in sheets, poop on edge of toilet seat, urine all over base of toilet, room smelled terrible! And it was over 300 dollars a night!! Would never recommend

The room was extremely expensive for the condition. It smelled musty. The bathtub / shower had dark stains and a ring around the tub. The toilet needed a new flapper as it flushed on its own occasionally. The breakfast was fairly typical but the coffee was horrible.

1. Room Service - we stayed 4 nights. Only 1 day room service is done including bedding. Bathroom was very old. All other days it was just new towel. No vacuums, no bedding, no cleaning. 2. Electric outlet was not working. Had difficulty using microwave when we turn on microwave for 1 minute it gets tripped. 3. One of the front desk employee, No courtesy of saying good morning with smile or welcome. The same lady was taking care of breakfast area and when asked to fill Milk and Juice during breakfast timing, she didn't even said sure instead she gave unpleasant look and just filled it. We first thought that working overnight may be she is tired but we saw that she was working almost 48 hours straight on the front desk and her reaction was the same.

Very nice, clean and quiet. Breakfast was very goos. We were pleasantly pleases. Dront desk was courteous. Would stay again and recommend. Franconia, NH is a nice little town. We weew going through on vacation.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The breakfast was great, the location is good and convenient, the pool is great, we slept really well. Everything comfy. The employees very nice. All in all, would stay here again.

We had a very nice stay at this Best Western. Everyone was extremely helpful. The breakfast was very good with quite a variety. We had a two bed queen room with comfortable beds. It was very close to all the attractions we were looking for. I would stay here again.

The room was very clean and tidy the only problem I had was the low toilet and the exercise room most of equipment was broken other than the outdated bathroom everything else was great. The staff are very friendly.

No auto-opening front door into the hotel made it difficult to get in with a luggage cart. Then , the smell was not pleasant. Not just our room, I noticed an odor when I first walked in to the lobby. The breakfast was not good,

Easy walk to town. Very good hot breakfast with lots of choices and good quality of foods. Right beneath Mt. Washington! Staff understood our needs and was helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Looks good from the outside. We were there at end May 2023 and quite disappointed. Wifi useless, didn't work at all in room 205. Rooms need refurbishment. No USB ports. TV remote has CC disabled. Frayed carpet, hole in bathroom wall, grubby-looking grout around bath.

The interiors are in sad disrepair. A broken curtain rod dangled in the window which we reported. Mold around all the joints in tub, a warm refrigerator (turned off) and an A/C that blew hot air made the overnight impossible. We checked out two hours after we checked in. In addition, we received a password for WiFi, but realized it was not needed. Unsecured WiFi is also not acceptable for us. We received an apologetic email from the manager which was appreciated.

On my first night there was a drunk man banging on my door and trying to break into my room from 4am-7am. I repeatedly called the front desk and got no answer or response to my many voicemails. When I asked to move to a different floor the next day, they refused to accommodate me. They did not apologize but instead made a joke out of the party the guy must have been having. I was alone in my room and completely terrified.

My husband and I stayed at the Best Western White Mountain Inn, Franconia NH for two nights over Thanksgiving. After our visit we noticed small, itchy red bumps on our faces, necks, arms and legs. (See attached images.) I googled the images, and they appear to be bed bug bites. Checking the Trip Advisor web site, I found that there are numerous complaints about bedbugs in the reviews that people have left. Looking at the inn's responses, I saw they are adamant that they do not have a bed bug problem. But they absolutely do, and I think the Franconia Health Department needs to look into this. Rooms were not in good working order and My first room had a stain on the comforter that transferred all the way down on the sheets and mattress pad below making it clear that the sheets were not clean.

WOW!!! What a lovely Inn. We stayed here for 2 nights and found this our favorite resting place during our two week road trip. Staff were friendly and very helpful with all our questions and requests. The grounds and Inn itself was well maintained and clean. Rooms were spacious with all the amenities néeded for a comfortable, restful stay. Loved the heated pool!! Good job Best Western of White Mountain!!

This hotel has a very friendly front desk staff. They go above and beyond! The outside needs some maintenance. It's very dated and unkept. They need an automatic door. It's very hard to get a luggage cart in the door due to holding the door open on an incline. There is no covering for unloading either. The room was pretty clean. The carpet needed a good vacuuming. The tv had good channels and a guide which was nice! I didn't eat the breakfast due to dietary restrictions, but It looked like a decent variety. There is an indoor pool.

We've stayed at this Best Western a few times in the past few years. We were glad to find that the complimentary breakfast is back, and with a great selection. Rooms are slightly smaller than you'd expect, but not a deal-breaker. Convenient location just off I-93. My main reason for not staying here more often (I visit Franconia at least twice a year) is the ridiculously high room rates. More than $300 per night + tax for a Sunday night stay! If I did not have a free night voucher I would have booked elsewhere.

Everything was well appointed. The staff was genuinely happy for people to stay there. Both the night and morning shifts were busy working to make sure all things were in order. In the current climate of sky-rocketing room rates with average service, this was a nice change.

The staff was friendly but room was dirty. Mildew on bathroom fixtures and found a contact lens on the carpet . We were disappointed because it looked so nice from the outside.The rooms were very dated and could really use so updating.

We stayed in more than one Best Western during our week-long vacation through Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont. This BW was by far the best one we had the pleasure of staying in. We would definitely stay here again.

Bed spread was dirty, room smelled, carpet was in poor condition. Breakfast room was small and crowded, Ran out of food, but did resupply. Food selection was limited. Had stayed here 15 years ago and it was much cleaner and in better shaoe. The outside definitely looks nice and is in good shape, but not so much the inside.

Stayed for one night on the way back from out east. The whole hotel has a funny smell, the scent of overdone room deodorizer that it hurt my nostrils. It was the same for our room and the windows don't open that we had the fan blasting to air out our room. The breakfast was sufficient.

I took my sons hiking in the area and this hotel is in a great location, in Franconia and near Bethlehem & Littleton. The boys appreciated the pool & I appreciated that it was in the middle of the action and had all the expected hotel types of amenities including a continental breakfast.

To start…… This Place is a Joke. From the time you pull off the freeway, and start up the hill, into the parking lot, I thought I was going to need to take my car in for a front end alignment. The Outside looks like it could have been remodeled, if you like VINAL SIDING!! (Good Grief) Then I entered the establishment. The one desk person was hiding behind the COVID Plexiglas, and I checked in. This rundown, outdated shitbox of a Hotel is a complete joke and I am shocked that Best Western would even want to claim this property. The Entire place is as it was when it was built as far as the bathrooms are concerned. I've seen LOW SITTING TOILETS before, but I have not seen crappers these low in a LOOONNNGGG TIME!!! The Almond colored Tub/Shower is as clean as it can get from all the worn in discoloration over the past 60 years. Without getting into details about the entire bathroom, UPDATE THEM if you plan on charging the outrageous prices that you are for these rooms. Today is June 24th, 2022, C'mon, SUMMER IS HEAR…. BUT, there is NOTHING in the town of Franconia, NH. One Bar & Grill is all there is for anyone to eat at for the evening meal. We had to travel 7 miles to the town of Littleton, NH, just to find an assortment of establishments to get an evening meal. NO OTHER MOTELS in this town WERE OPEN! On Saturday, 6/25/22, there is supposed to be a Triathlon, A “Race the Cog” up White Mountain, and this is all that this town has to offer??? One Bar and Grill and an Overpriced Outdated Motel???? Seriously….. $185.52 including tax??? When I checked out, I asked for a receipt, and the person took forever to do that and looked at me like, Really?? SO IN SHORT BEST WESTERN!!! Get rid of this OUTDATED dump, or STOP CHARGING OUTRAGES PRICES FOR AN OVER RATED SHITBOX, NO PLACE TO GO LOCALLY FOR ANYTHING, MOTEL!!!

Hotel is clean. Staff is attentive and knowledgeable. Breakfast bar is good serving waffles and pancakes. Indoor pool is heated and clean. Fitness room is good. No issues. Good value. Good location. Bed are comfortable and clean. Hi speed Wi-FI

Our check in was a little strange, came in @ 5:30pm and no one at the front desk - we had to call for someone. We stayed on the 1st floor just around the corner from the front desk which was fine - very quiet, we weren't disturbed. Only ice machine is downstairs by gym/pool/vending which was a little inconvenient. The room was worn and needs a lot of updating- cleanliness was okay - refrigerator had been turned off and smelled really bad. Bathroom had some mold but towels were plentiful and clean. Beds were clean and comfortable. View from the room was pretty! We didn't use the indoor pool, but it looked really nice. Breakfast was also good! Pancake & waffle maker, scrambled eggs & hash browns. This hotel could really use a more welcoming lobby that reflects the style of the area, maybe a gas fire pit with chairs outside and updating the rooms.

Great place to stay for a White Mountains visit. Right up the road from Cannon Mountain with nice views from the hotel. Rooms are comfortable and clean, staff is great and friendly. Definitely a good place to stay for your White Mountains visit!

Hotel was clean, convenient, and staff was very friendly and helpful. Great location for a central base of operations in Franconia to explore the region. Some small elements of the hotel could use a little TLC such as noisy appliances and squeaky floors, but otherwise an extremely pleasant and comfortable stay.

Nice place to stay for a White Mountains visit. Right there for skiing at Cannon which you have views of from the hotel. The hotel is well maintained, clean and quiet. The staff is friendly, helpful and efficient.

Only needed to stay one night to wait out the weather and it was absolutely perfect! Definitely would stay here again. Made the reservation at 11am and went right over to see if we could check in and sure enough we could! The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great and the staff was super nice!

Over all it was a nice hotel. The only problem was that the hallway and elevator smelled really bad. Other than that I would definitely stay again. It is right off the Interstate so it is really easy to get around but i didn't hear any noise from the Interstate which was really nice

This hotel is right off the highway, but we didn't hear any car noise. The rooms were clean and comfortable, though nothing fancy. There were enough towels for the three of us to each use one for our two-night stay, which worked for our needs. There was plenty of hot water for showers after a long, cold hike in the Whites. No complaints & would stay here again if looking for something in Franconia.

We spent 2 nights here in a spacious, quiet and well appointed room: 2 luggage racks, fridge, safe, microwave, and comfortable beds, although there were not enough towels or amenities stocked for a 2-night stay. Eighteen months into the pandemic it is ridiculous to not have daily housekeeping. That and the fact that there was no way to cool the too-warm fitness center down were the only two negatives. Buffet breakfast was great, pool was one of the nicest I've encountered, grounds were meticulously groomed, parking and easy-on/off location, excellent HVAC unit all contributed to a really nice stay. Staff members were friendly, helpful and generous. The guest laundry was a nice amenity to have although we were charged $1 for a packet of soap. I would recommend this to everyone.

I give five stars for the location in proximity to the beautiful scenery. Only 5 minutes from the beautiful state park and pretty close to Vermont as well. The property itself was nice on the outside and surrounded by awesome greenery, self parking in abundance. Check-in was quick and seamless. The room itself was just okay, there are opportunities for improvement when it comes to cleanliness and the carpet should be replaced. I didn't take advantage of all the amenities but the breakfast was decent and check-out was quick. Overall a 4 star experience- the reason for giving 5 stars was the efficiency & trustworthiness of the staff. Shortly after check out, I got an email saying I left my laptop in the room. I sent them my address and they mailed it to me for a fee. I got all my belongings back including a $30,000 watch that was in my laptop bag. They have earned my trust and I will stay at this property everytime I come to New Hampshire which is once a year during the fall. Thank you Sara and team.

My husband and I stayed here for five days in early October and enjoyed everything about this establishment. The location is perfect, a minute from I-93, and so close to all the hiking and autumn tourist adventures we wanted to explore. Our room was spotlessly clean and large enough to spread out all our outdoor gear & clothes and really relax in the evenings. Coffee and breakfast were great—a lot of variety to choose from snd convenient hours. Finally, the staff included a lot of friendly hard-working young people, which is nice to see—very efficient and well-run organization, with a homey feel.

We haven't taken a vacation in 6 years so we could only hope for something close to good as far as a hotel. Our stay here was AMAZING! Everything you could ask for. The food is excellent. Breakfast buffet was so fresh and the service throughout the hotel was top notch. We highly recommend for a family especially. The fitness Center was nice & clean. We wouldn't stay anywhere else next time we come. It was perfect .

Spent a night here at the end of a week-long trip in Vermont. It seems either fairly new or very well- maintained. The room was spacious and well-equipped with fridge and microwave. Best of all it was spotlessly clean throughout, and after spending the previous night in a place we could only give one star to, it was welcome. Nicely done breakfast room, and they even had the waffle makers on - must be a sign the pandemic is coming to an end! We just ended up with one, but if you can, ask for a mountain view room. The view across to Cannon Mountain and Franconia Ride is excellent. Happy to recommend this place. We'll be back!

We just stopped here for a mid-afternoon snack at the bar. Had been here several years before and remembered it as a pleasant place. We had excellent seafood chowder. Very friendly, courteous service. Maple old fashioned cocktail absolutely terrific!

We changed destinations at the last minute for our family vacation and took a chance on the Best Western in Franconia, NH. Hotel was a good value, nice family managing the property, peaceful town close by to Littleton, Franconia State Park and beautiful Sugar Hill. The hotel has a nice indoor swimming pool, a small exercise room, an outdoor patio and an expansive front yard where our son practiced his golf one night and we sat at one of the patio tables playing Uno and watching the beautiful NH sunset! Because of Covid protocols the cleaning staff are still not cleaning your room every day but we didn't mind because we just went to the front desk to get towels, tp and whatever else we needed.

This hotel was clean, but could use some updates. Air conditioner a little loud, but the windows open and was cool at night. Bed was comfortable, with lots of pillow choices. Breakfast was excellent. Nice pool, clean, and towels provided, and has a nice view too. Near to Lincoln, NH, the flume, and not far from Omni Mt Washington Hotel ($400+ a night) but nice to walk around and cog railway.

The room itself was clean. The condition of the room was beautiful. It was nice to have a microwave and mini fridge in the room, too! The hotel is located in a safe area of the town and very convenient for travel… just minutes off 93. The views of the mountains from the room were breathtaking. We enjoyed watching the fog burn off and uncover the mountains! It is only a half hour away from Vermont.

Enjoyed a five-night stay at this Best Western White Mountain Inn during July. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Check-in and out was quick and easy. King room was large and clean with mini fridge and microwave and a beautiful view of the mountains. Bed was extremely comfortable, Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Coffee was some of the best I have ever had. I will definitely return with my family.

Stayed here 1 night while on a mini vacation through the NH mountains. Room was clean and contained everything we needed. Check-in was a breeze and we instantly felt welcomed. Even got recommendations for a number of restaurants in the area and were not disappointed. Everyone was pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was standard BW fare, but was well maintained. Would definitely stay here again.

Overall the experience at the Best Western White Mountain Inn was good. The hotel, however, could use an update. The carpet in the guest rooms is old and needs to be replaced. Also, the bathroom could be modernized a bit. The ice machine is all the way in the basement of the hotel, not very convenient. This is good hotel, and it was in a good location to the areas we were visiting, I just think an update would be good.

Great place to stay for a visit to the White Mountains in any season. Staff is great, rooms are comfortable and clean. Rooms can offer great panoramic views of the Mountains. No restaurant on the premises but plenty of dining and socializing options close by.

I liked this place a lot. Cricket is on the last channel. Reasonably close to a lot of places. Seems like hard working proprietors that are invested in the place. Sometimes it's hard to reach the 200 character minimum. It was covid and they were doing a grab and go breakfast. Within context they managed decent variety.

Found the hotel to be an exceptional value with great views of the ski mountain and its proximity to excellent dinning and adventure areas in the mountains of NH. The staff (James & Vin) were extremely friendly and anxious to help and the hotel ameneties large indoor pool had also great views of the ski mountain and the fitness center and breakfast area suitable for all basic needs. A great spot for a weekend getaway or short business trip.

Hotel is older and in need of upgrade. Rooms clean and fairly quiet. They allow pets which is nice. Staff was friendly. My biggest concern is very easy to access side doors with no key card. The one nearest me was unlocked all night. Yes, it's in the middle of nowhere and the White Mountains but still, better security! Didn't have breakfast. Coffee wasn't very good. Bed was comfy!

I absolutely love that this hotel is right of the highway. The hotel is clean and beds are comfortable everything we needed. Grab & go Breakfast had good selections. The Staff was always super friendly and quickly helped us with whatever we needed!

This hotel gets the basics right. Plenty of hot water, heat/AC work, good location, acceptable breakfast. The property is a bit worn- older rugs that are worn, chipped paint. It's nothing major but something to be aware of. The hotel is certainly due for a needed renovation. Weekend peak season rates are really high- approaching $250/night. At these prices, you might feel stronger about the worn nature of the hotel. We stayed during a non holiday midweek time and paid less than half of the weekend rate! For whatever reason, the Franconia area seems to have lots of these dated properties so you don't really have a more modern option in Franconia that I'm aware of.

We stayed here for 2 nights during the Mass/Vt/Maine vacation week. It went well. It was a family of 4 and a dog in a dog-friendly room on the first floor. The location is great - within walking distance of the Franconia village and right next to an I-93 exit. The room and the public areas of the hotel were clean. The COVID-19 compliant breakfast was a bit thin but understandable given the current restraints. There were apples, bananas, muffins, yogurt, juices, and coffee. We felt the price was a bit high, given the location and star rating, but we understood that the rates were a bit higher because of school vacation week. The staff was attentive and the only small issue was that the fridge seemed to run very cold and froze some of our food, even on the warmest setting. Also, the room could use a little bit more table surface area.

I have stayed here now multiple times and I couldn't say enough great things about the hotel staff. It feels like a Bed & Breakfast with extremely friendly staff available to help at anytime during the day and night. Everything is extremely clean and working properly which is often times difficult in a hotel that caters for the ski industry. I will stay here again, and again, and again.

Great place to stay to go ski the White Mountains. Right down the road to Cannon Mtn. Also great to sight see during all the seasons. The staff is great, friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and comfortable.

Our family of 5 booked two adjoining rooms for a long stay in December. We are avid Cannon Mountain skiers, and this hotel is perfectly situated for daily visits to Cannon Mountain. The rooms are immaculately clean and spacious. The beds and linens are very comfortable (let's face it, if you don't sleep well at a hotel, nothing else matters!). The desk staff was always friendly and helpful. The hotel offers a breakfast, which was grab-and-go (yogurts, fruits, sausage sandwich, breakfast bar, juices, etc.). Coffee available all day. Highly recommend.

If you are looking for a good place to stay in the quiet parts of upstate New Hampshire I'd recommend this Best Western. The place could use a face lift, it hasn't been remodeled in a long time, overall 8 out of 10 though. Very clean quiet and bug free.

Me and my girlfriend stayed at this hotel for just one night so that we could wake up early to take advantage of the great hiking in the area. Although our stay was brief, our night there very much met our expectations. The staff was kind and the room was clean and comfortable. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a reasonably priced and simple hotel in the area.

Staff was great. Beds were hard as rocks, but the room was clean and pillows comfortable. Even the Covid-19 breakfast bag wasn't bad. I wish I remembered the gentleman's name who checked me in, but he was great. Very personable and attentive.

I was extremely impressed with the beauty and cleanliness of this hotel. The staff were extremely kind and courteous. The rooms were neat and clean with perfect heating and cooling. Great value and very affordable!

Checked in on a Thursday afternoon, the fellow behind the desk was friendly and knowledgeable and helpful. The room was clean and up-to-date. Plenty of hot water in the shower. And so quiet during the night you could hear a pin drop. Highly recommended

During these Covid challenging times it was great to get away to a beautiful hotel, with clean rooms,a friendly and helpful staff,a covid adapted breakfast, indoor pool, exercise room, and laundry facilities if you needed them. Just wanted to say my wife and I had a wonderful time.

The Best Western is within a reasonable ride from most locations in the area. The hotel is dated and the rooms are sorely in need of a renovation. The mattress was too soft but I was able to sleep regardless. Due to Covid 19 a grab and go breakfast was served. It was inadequate. We stayed 3 nights. The last 2 mornings we skipped the hotel's offering and had good breakfasts in a local restaurant.

The location was fantastic. The Staff at front desk (Fuzil, Taylor, James??) was so friendly and you could actually joke with them. Tons of wildlife was enjoyable while these wild animals were visiting the property..lol. Two small things that was a little disappointing. (I get there are changes because of covid-19) We stayed for 4 nights, arriving on a Tuesday, leaving on Saturday morning. We asked during check in to have our room cleaned/fresh sheets, towels on a Thursday take out trash (middle of week) (not done) and the pool could have been cleaned daily (hairnet, rubber gloves, floating hair) at bottom of the pool Other than that we will diff go back and hope the same staff at front desk is still there.

For whatever reason humans enjoy going up and down big landscapes. My wife and I did just that. (Liberty Springs loop) After a full day of enjoying the climb up three different peaks and then resenting the high elevation while limping down, we had a 10 minute drive to Best Western White Mountain Inn where we were greeted by Vin. Tired and half conscious, Vin quickly checked us in and got us set up with a room. We entered the room to find a cool and clean space. The shower was clean and the water pressure had a firm warm stream - we were bound to get clean! (Also, no one ever seems to talk about the water pressure/temperature...extremely important). My forward thinking wife knew we would most likely be done with the day after the hike so she packed us dinner and snacks. We were excited to find a powerful 800 watt microwave oven and a cool clean dorm sized refrigerator in the room. Mighty fine machinery to use at our disposal. The best part was that the fridge had a little freezer for our ice packs. We hung a lip on some homemade meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and corn..mmm it was great. The bed was shockingly decent. The bed was nothing in comparison to our bed back home; however, we laid down and died. I arose the next morning, opened up the curtains, took a good stretch, and took in God's beautiful creation of the Franconia Notch. What a sight to see. We were looking forward to having the breakfast buffet, but COVID-19 restrictions still had the place on full lockdown. Nevertheless, we left the Best Western happy and well rested. We plan to come back and we would recommend a stay here to anyone looking simply to rest and recover for the next day to come. Thank you for your hospitality.

My daughter and I stayed at this property 2 separate times - 1 night each time - on the way to and on our return trip from our final destination in Nova Scotia. For a Best Western, I was disappointed, as my husband and I have stayed at many Best Western properties. While the room was sufficient both times, breakfast was disappointing. The breakfast area was extremely small ... cramped to the point it was difficult to move around whether trying to get your food or find a place to sit. Menu options seemed limited and were not hot; in fact the hot food was only lukewarm. It seemed the "overflow" breakfast area was in the lobby - just inside the front door - as there were tables and chairs there. However it doesn't seem like a good option in cold or inclement weather.

Our family of four stayed at this location for a very short trip to do some local winter sightseeing. The front desk staff were friendly and accommodating and check in was quick and easy. The room was small but adequate and seems like they recently have gotten new mattresses and sheets. The beds themselves were very clean and comfortable but I noticed something that looked like smeared jam on the bedside phone while laying in bed at night but I didn't investigate further. The room area that needs the most attention is the bathroom there were dirty or stained areas on the sink and the edges of the tub. There were many cracks that should be repaired because they catch grime. The pool was nice but I think there should be more seating and the lighting at night in this area could be improved. Again it was adequate but could easily be improved. Breakfast was delicious but crowded when we went however that's not different than many other hotels I have been to. It was an okay experience but it could have been a better. I would probably stay again in a pinch because the location is great and the hospitality was good as well. I would probably try out other hotels in this price range first if they were available.

Rooms were very clean and breakfast was good. Hotel was quiet and comfortable. It was very close to everything we had planned to do. We would return for future stays. Breakfast area could be a little bigger.

We stayed for one night but it was very good. The hotel was clean, staff pleasant, and the breakfast was fresh and excellent. The pool was clean and inviting. I recommend if you're staying in the area to stay here.

Our at the Best Western White Mountain Inn was great and is always great! my wife and I travel to Franconia area often throughout the winter and spring for skiing! The Inn is always clean and the staff is eager to help in any way they can! the Breakfast that is free with your stay is good there is always hot and cold choices and everything is always fresh! we have been able to get early check ins on a number of stays that we arrived early for! The flexability is great. Thanks Vin!!

Have stayed here one or twice each winter, usually during the week, for ski trips to Cannon and Bretton Woods over past 8 or so years. I've always liked it, but maybe it's time to consider other places. Pros: Right off I-93, good parking, good WiFi, breakfast is not bad (bacon & scrambled eggs, not sure if they're pre-made or what, but they also have make-your-own waffles, hard boiled eggs, yogurts, pastries), and good sized rooms. Rate is OK (~ $100/night). Cons: Kind of indifferent service - this time my room key card didn't open the door on 1st or even 2nd try. Worked on 3rd try - maybe the key mechanism needs work. My TV remote hardly worked - battery compartment cover was missing, I kept re-working the batteries, sometimes that worked, sometimes it didn't - had to turn TV on with controls on side of monitor. I stayed 2 nights - my room wasn't serviced after 1st night. Not a big deal, but kind of symptomatic of indifferent service. Have enjoyed my stays here over the years, but will consider other places in the future.

Easy on and off the highway- pretty nice views and well maintained property. I have been here 3 times on business trips and will always use this location when I am back in this area. I wish I had time for sightseeing as there are tons to do close to the hotel.

we stayed here for Christmas week and we where very pleased with hotel staff, Clean room and comfortable beds. very good location with plenty to do in area. There are two Restorant nearby.our Kidds loved the indoor pool and breakfast. Eggs, sausage, bacon, waffle, pancake, juice, milk, cereal lots of verity.

Large and clean indoor swimming pool. Clean and very comfortable living room. Very good Breackfast in fact best ever at any best western lots of fresh item. All the staff members where very polite and answered all the questions I asked about local ski area. Also this hotel has Discounted ski ticket to local ski mountains.

Nice location easy to get to Cannon and many local restaurants, galleries, and breweries. Staff was very nice. Breakfast was good, what we expected. The bed was comfortable and the room was bigger than we expected. Wish we got a 2nd floor room. We heard the people come in late above us, they weren't noisy., but it did wake us.

Would have liked a view of the mountains, but we were only sleeping there. The two men at the front desk were very nice & helpful. Room was fine, need to update the rooms though. Especially the bathrooms.

First I just want to headline that I sleep in 150 hotels a year for work and I never complain about anything. I am someone that rolls with the punches but this experience is by far the worst stay I ha e ever had. Bringing my wife and 4 kids to Santa's village so I tried to find a hotel that was reasonably close and the key feature I was looking for was a indoor pool. The website claims heated pool....:: it was not ... it was freezing.... the front desk guy told me that they turn the heat up when the suns goes down (which makes no sense at all), my wife was getting waters from the vending machine because that was the only option for water besides an old bubbler and while she was getting her waters for the family the same front desk guy asked her if she would follow him into the bathroom to see if she would mind smelling it to detect vommit. You can't make this stuff up .... apparently someone earlier that day must have thrown up and he was cleaning it and he thought he might have been immune to the smell at that point so he wanted a fresh nose to help him out. Gross, weird and completely inappropriate. Next day we leave for Santa's village and we are all outside for 7 hours that day and than we drive home (2 hours away) my wife wakes up the next morning with bed bug bites all over body. 80-100 bed bug bites (confirmed) on her legs, back and butt.......my wife is a clean freak and a little ocd when it comes to bugs so this was extra fun for us. I called and talked to vin the manager who agreed to refund me but guess what? The bed bugs didn't go away .... we had a dog detection company (specializes in sniffing for bed bugs) very reputable company....(300 bucks ) come out and sure enough the bed bugs found there way back to my house. We called corporate best western and have not heard a response yet. We had our local pest services company treat our bedroom which will cost a little under 2000. Of course my wife is making me throw away our mattress and all of our clothes and will need to get new carpet in our bedroom. The money stinks but it's no where near the trauma and the gross feeling my wife has every night of bugs crawling on her. She hasn't has a good night sleep since and she has cried most days. We have been educating ourselves on just how BAD bed bugs are and how difficult they are to get rid of. We have a journey ahead of us. Oddly enough the manager Vin gave me a call today while I'm on vacation and I asked why he was calling and he said he wanted to make sure that I got my refund and also wanted to tell me that they did an internal investigation and found no bed bugs ..... I found it very odd that he was making this call and quite frankly did not believe what he was saying. My wife could not have gotten them anywhere else. I told him that I prefer to deal with best western corporate. I'll keep all websites posted on how those gets handled . Only stay here if you want your family to go through the hell my family is going through right now ....assuming you don't want that ..... I'd rather sleep in my car

Great place to stay for a winter visit to the White Mountains. Quiet and picturesque. Staff is great. Rooms are nice and clean. No restaurant on premises but plenty are nearby. Is right down the road from Cannon Mountain for skiing and close to other areas.

Good location but hotel needs updating. It was difficult to control the temperature in our room, there were a couple outlets that did not work, and the toilet seat was broken. Also, it was very noisy during the night. You could here all your neighbors, noise in the hall, and noise in the room above was awful. The rooms were clean so we did appreciate that.

A lovely looking modern hotel set in hills but conveniently close to Interstate and easy to find. Large free car park to the rear and a side door for easy access to rooms. It is very modern and clean and reception very efficient and friendly with all required info provided. Room was very bright and clean and spacious with a huge comfortable bed, table and chairs and desk unit. Lots of modern lamps with plenty of charging points for phone etc. A very good en suite with an excellent shower over the bath. After long day in the car the heated indoor pool was very welcome and relaxing followed by a free coffee in reception which is available 24/7. A very good hot breakfast served in a nice room with a good selection of both hot and cold foods available. No in room safe otherwise a perfect place to relax and chill with a nice walk into local small town just a short distance away.

we have been here in late october 2019..we really enjoyed the room size and the bed, everything was very clean also. Bed was very confortable indeed. there is hot breakfast but with scramble eggs, bacon and potato but it is not at the level of a best western. gym was essentials and walls of the room was to thin that we heard the alarm of the others room close to us.price was a bit expensive for the place.

I always try to stay at a BW hotel wherever I travel as they are always of great quality and value for money. The White Mountain Best Western did not disappoint. Check in was easy and quick, the receptionist was friendly. (Great recommendation on places for dinner, thanks again) The room was spacious, clean, and had a very comfortable bed. I had a very good sleep. Breakfast was also good, usual choices. All in all a pleasant experience and would choose again.

Hotel was in a nice location, was super clean, and all staff were extremely friendly and helpful. It's conveniently located near many attractions in that area of the White Mountains. I would definitely stay at this hotel again!

This hotel sits a bit off the beaten path but is convenient to attractions in Franconia Notch like The Flume. It is very quiet as it sits on a hill by itself with a view of the mountains and plenty of parking for large vehicles. Our room was spotless with comfortable beds and a nice shower. The buffet was a full breakfast and had a good selection of hot and cold items. They also had motorcycle towels for cleaning your bike.

The hotel is in a great location set back off the 93 with great views and handy for all the attractions. It was a 5 minute walk into Franconia. The room was clean and spacious with everything we needed but felt like it could do with decorating and we also had a problem with the key cards not working. Breakfast was ok. We didnt find the staff welcoming or helpful, apart from 1 nice lady, this is the only hotel on our trip round New England that I felt like this. But Ive stayed in worse!

rooms were good sized and clean good location right off the highway nice views had a indoor heated pool and full breakfast the breakfast was excellent cooked and prepared properly also everything in the hotel was functional ice machine coffee and iced tea beverages machines etc

The Motel was set back from the road, all rooms had a view of the mountains or at the very least a view of the forest behind the motel. The check in and the check out was easy . The small town of Franconia NH was very charming and was maybe 10 minute walk away. The room was large and beds were very comfortable, Skiing and or hiking is a mere 10 minute drive away. The price was very fair.

This hotel is right off highway 93. It is clean, the staff is friendly, the breakfast is excellent. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. We stayed here for one night and it is not far from The Basin, The Flume, Cannon Mountain, Franconia Notch State Park.

Our family stayed here for 2 nights to attend a wedding in the area. The hotel itself is a little dated but very east to find, nice big pool, free breakfast. We came in late on a Friday and entered our room to be immediately repelled by a strong chemical odor. We went down to the front desk to complain but since the hotel was full we were stuck; the desk clerk offered us an air freshener. Fortunately the windows open rather widely so we had traffic noise but fresh air. The bathroom door squeaked with every use, the beds were pretty firm, the showerhead needed descaling. We also asked for an extra key for our son upon arrival; only his key worked. Went back down to rekey the other 2 keys, then only those keys worked. Finally got all 3 Saturday. Breakfast was okay not great. As I mentioned we arrived after 10 and someone called to complain that we were noisy as we just got there-we weren't using the tv. Overall disappointed with this stay although the location was convenient.

This hotel is in a great location. Right off the highway and in a very quiet area. Hotel is warm and cozy. Great place to get away from normal life. Room was very clean, AC worked great, breakfast had everything I could ask for. Price was great compared to other hotels in the area. Would love to come back in the winter for the snow season.

Of course, this is the old Red Coach Inn. I will always love this place!! This Inn has seen many changes thru the years. I wish it could be restored to the way it was. It used to have a souvenir store, a restaurant, a recreation and a games room. Still, it is a nice place to stay. Good value for your money! There is a great breakfast with lots of variety. This location is absolutely incredible!! Beautiful surroundings. Please give it a try!!!!

I just stayed at this hotel for 2 days then moved to another. The hotel it self is quite nice but it's in the middle of nowhere so expect there aren't any restaurants around it. The bad....there's no desk or chair to sit in while doing business on the computer, no do not disturb sign for the door so dont expect to sleep in. The tv remote didn't work in my room so it was stuck on one channel. When I inquired about the amenities for business travelers > was told by the front desk clerk that this is a resort hotel. With that being said if you travel for business as I do then stay away from this place as you're not welcome here. My stay was booked by a travel agency and this hotel doesnt recognize my elite status nor will give any points. My advise for business travelers, dont stay here, go somewhere else....like the desk clerk told me, it's a resort and not for business people

A very comfortable hotel right off the interstate. Very convenient location to get to anywhere we wanted to go. The front desk staff was super-friendly and helpful. The breakfast room staff kept the tables nice and clean, and the food stocked and hot (or cold!) We didn't see our housekeeper, but she took great care of us. The room was always very clean. We always had fresh towels. And the coffee, cups, shampoo, etc was always restocked after we used them.

Better than average while still @ a modest price point..our stay of 4 nights was almost flawless.. breakfast was a bit above the usual Bw fair.. friendly desk personnel that appeared competent. Still could use a bit more polish to get 5 stars. Bed VG/ pillows decent size a bit soft.. towels a reasonable size.. decent sized bathroom in the double queen room. responsive housekeeping staff..

The rooms are clean but the noisy a/c unit is awful to try to sleep. The smell in the morning when breakfast is being cooked comes right into your room. We were on the second floor and every morning you could smell bacon first thing. Not what I want to wake up to. The breakfast area is very small and cramped. The breakfast is so-so and being vegan there wasn't much for me to choose from. We stayed there last year and the food was much better. It was in a decent location for our hiking trip so it was ok but it would not be my first choice for a vacation stay.

The room I stayed in looked dirty: I noticed a stain on my sheets and the base boards and walls looked like they could use a good scrub. The pool was way too cold to enjoy. I was also pretty disappointment to learn about the pet-fee after my arrival, which wasn't made clear to me in advance. I even searched the website after check-in and still couldn't find where the fee was listed.

While our stay was fine, there are definitely some places that need improvement. The bathrooms could use a deeper clean, the carpets and upholstery need mending and the bed pillows were small, puffy squares which made uninterrupted sleep difficult. It may have just been our room because last year the room was great and we had no complaints. This is a very quiet hotel and my girls enjoy the indoor pool which we usually have to ourselves. If we had stayed more than one night I would have said something to the desk sooner.

Hotel was very close to Franconia Notch. Plenty to do nearby and some great views. We decided to visit the area last minute and simply showed up hoping they had a room available. We got lucky and got a room. Hotel was neat and clean. Nothing fancy, but we were just looking for a place to stay for the night and we got what we paid for. Parking was adequate, we did not have a trailer but noted there was ample room for the few guests that had them.

We've been to Best Western exclusively on our trip of 12 days and this by far was the worst. It was outdated, dirty, and over priced for the condition of the place. I should of known when the entry doors were not clean, that this place was not going to be okay. The first room we were given smelled of cigarettes and when inspecting the bed, had stained sheets. The front desk guy gave us another room & said this was an upgrade due to my platinum status. The room was almost exactly the same. I did not want to stay, but didn't want to lose our money. We were supposed to stay 2 nights, but left after one. The bathroom had black hair all over the floor, which kept showing up after cleaning. So, the carpet was full of someone's hair?? Breakfast was marginal, with food all over the carpet/ floor. I have never stayed somewhere with so many things wrong...will never stay here again. Don't stay!!

Me and my family book a room here for one night, because the Holiday Inn was full. After hiking all day we got to the hotel around 5 pm check in left our stuff and when to explore other places and to eat, we got back around 8pm brought the kids to the pool for 15min. When upstairs 5min in the room stared to get complain of noise, which we were not making as soon as we all took a shower we went to bed we were so tire, once again we get a call about noise, one was making any noise the kids were bed as well as my husband. I was the only one up waiting for clothes to dry, then a member of the staff came to our room asking to keep down by this time we were all sleeping. I asked if they were shore it's us with an attitude they said yes the customer from down stairs keep complaining. I asked immediately for a refund and left the hotel almost 10pm had to get my kids up and leave. When going down there is people running up and down the stairs people in the lobby and we where the ones making noise. Really disappointed that the manager didn't try to do anything to accommodate us and the complaining party, as a manager my self you should always try your best to accommodate your guest they are the ones paying money to stay at your place. Never again will I book in this place, this has never happen to us in other hotel in the area as we visit often all year round.

Has a good check in, as was off season and slow. Motel was clean and was very quite. Had a good breakfast in the morning. Easy off the Highway to the Hotel. If had business in the area would stay here again.

Hotel is very convenient to the highway. Check-in was quick and easy and our room was clean. There is a pool and breakfast available. My husband has allergies and asthma and thought the stairwells smelled musty. The hotel does allow dogs. I should have thought to ask if there are rooms available that haven't had dogs in them. Overall a decent hotel to stay in.

Second time we stayed while visiting family. We were greeted with a sour faced employee. Obviously we were disturbing her. She checked us in including a pet fee and told us our room wasn't ready. It would be more than an hour before it was available. We were there for three nights. There were no restaurants or even a decent place to buy subs available. The grocery and sub shop were crowded and dingy. A woman had passed away and the whole town shut down. We checked out fast express and found we were recharged our $60 pet fee. I emailed the manager and received a condescending answer detailing the fees on the bill I sent him. I explained I understood the details however I emailed him the picture of the separate charge for the pet fee that was also included on the bill. We were traveling home. When I landed in Ft Myers there was a very curt message about how we weren't charged double and how they tried to call me and I was not available. I checked my credit card statement and found the original fee had been split and I was only billed for the room fee. The second pet fee had been deducted. I did not return the call as the problem had been solved. Tonight I received an alert my card had been charged again the total fee for the room and the pet fee. Of course I went to my on line statement at 09:30 pm (after working a 12 hour shift) thinking I had been double charged not only the pet fee but now the room fee as well. What I found was the original separate fees for room and pet had been removed and the total fee replaced. No I was not charged double but my take from this is the manager had to be right as well as condescending so he deducted the two separate charges and replaced them with the single charge that was listed on the final bill. I have no need to participate in these sorts of mind games. We have family in the area and thought we had found a gem. We were sadly mistaken and will not return.

Got room #114, right off the lobby and next to the breakfast area. Ugh, right? But guess what? It was quiet by 9 p.m. and there was no breakfast noise. A great night's sleep. Shocked when we left the room at 8 a.m. and found about 20 breakfasters so close and so quiet. Good bed, good shower and peace and quiet. Perfect place to stay for the White Mountain Triathlon at Cannon Mountain.

This hotel is very noisy. The people in the lobby were extremely loud and this is the only area at the hotel to socialize with your group. When the front desk staff were asked to close the doors between the room and the lobby they were not helpful at all. This noise was occurring after 10 pm. Unacceptable in my opinion.

I was immediately skeptical when I saw the Best Western as we pulled off the highway becase the front roof was badly faded and the entrance was cluttered and dirty. It was definitely NOT up to BW standards. I killed one small roach crawling on the wall above the headboard and another dead roach between the box spring and mattress of the second bed. The night Manager was most apologetic and gave us an other room. It was after 8 p.m. and we were only staying one night. He remained in the new room as I checked for any sign of bugs.

It was awesome at the white mountain inn!! Have nothing to complain about. Friendly staff and The pool was awesome and the Mountain View from our room and the pool breathtaking!! Will definitely be staying again soon!!

Stayed here for one night on 31st May. We are on a fly drive holiday around New England and have been pleasantly surprised by the standard of the hotels.....except this one. The bathroom was in a very poor state with a very wobbly toilet seat and a bath so badly stained that we both preferred to forego a shower rather than step in it. If you actually managed to sit on the toilet without the seat tipping you in, your eyes were met with the horrific vision of the dirt and grime along the bottom of the bath surround and in the seal between the floor and bath. I know Best Western include breakfast in the price but the dining room should at least appear clean and hygienic. Having one person covering reception and breakfast/dining room is not conducive to good hygiene. All in all a very bad experience. Will never visit again and doubly disappointing as our stay at the Bar Harbour Best Western was very good and the level of service/hygiene and cleanliness in Bar Harbour being so very good. As different as night and day. I left Best Western Bar Harbour feeling happy and relaxed. I left Best Western White Mountains feeling soiled! I must add that I do not blame the staff in any way for this they were polite and helpful. Management however need to take a long hard look at this hotel then renovate and improve staffing.

The beautiful snow-capped mountains of New Hampshire were within sight of this pretty and large Best Western Inn which sat on an impressive expanse of land. The splendor of the mountains naturally enhanced the location of this hotel. The hotel was easy to find. It was just off the interstate but it was quiet. The unique wooden stairways and bannisters in the lobby that curved gracefully were works of art from the past. They made a great impression on entrance. Super customer service. Mr. Vin at the front desk patiently straightened out my reservation. The clean room had two double beds, television, microwave oven, fridge, and coffee maker. The free WIFI worked well. The tub in the bathroom was recently installed, I think. It looked new. Breakfast was continually replenished by David. There was a big variety of food such as eggs, potatoes, sausages, pastries, breads, yogurt, waffles, and fruits. Hot coffee and ice-cold juices were also available with no limitations. There was a large swimming pool and a fitness room. The pool looked inviting. Perhaps, a deer or moose may peep in once in a while since the pool was surrounded by large glass windows that looked on to meadows. In my judgement, it should be a Best Western Plus. Definitely, a great value.

We decided on staying here when we were up in the area to do snow tubing on loon mountain in lincoln. The location was great. Nice indoor pool area, comfortable beds, and decent breakfast. All in all a great place to stay

I coordinated a group stay at this hotel for our youth ski race team. The feedback from our families who stayed here was all very positive. Rooms were clean, check-in was efficient and breakfast was always ready on time and had enough of a selection to satisfy the group. The kids also loved the pool. Plus it was convenient to Cannon, where our team was racing and very affordable. Vinkal, the Manager, was great to work with on the group coordination. Everything turned out as we had discussed/plan. If you're looking for a moderately priced hotel in the area, I highly recommend White Mountain Inn.

Outstanding views of Mt Washington and the ski runs at Cannon ski area. Superb location to explore all of central and northern New Hampshire from. Good breakfast but should have bacon every day. Used a free voucher for one night which required a second checkin to same room and slow checkout due in part to incoming guests at 8am.

Excellent location! Even if there are no restaurants in Franconia, a small 10 minute drive to Littleton where you can do some shopping and enjoy this nice town. Excellent hotel with nice staff. Would definitely go back !

Nice place for a visit to the White Mountains area. Comfortable, friendly, and close to a lot of the areas attractions. The staff is great and helpful. Nice quiet location withviews of the mountains even from the good size pool area. No restaurant on premisesbut plenty of them close by.

The Best Western White Mountain Inn provides a perfect spot for a rest while driving through New Hampshire . It is warm, inviting, and clean. The hotel's breakfast is wonderful, with options for the whole family. Their dog policy is great and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Be sure to reserve pet room if you are traveling with one

My wife and I visit Franconia several times a year. We only stay here because in our opinion, this hotel without a doubt is the best all around. A very friendly and courteous staff, from the front desk too housekeeping.

Room was awesome and so was the staff. It will be our choice from now on we we come to see the grand kids.Free breakfast was amazing, Lots of choice. indoor pool was amazing Staff went above and beyond. property also added elevator since our last stay in 2015 and did lots of upgrade.

The staff here is wonderful, helpful, super sweet. The breakfast area is tiny, the tv in the main lobby can only play the weather channel, and alcohol is banned is the main lobby. While the hotel is in a great location it is definitely showing it's age and in need of an update. This coupled with the fact that there's limited space for a group to gather, the rooms are basic two beds and a small table so no way to meet up there, make it low on my list of hotels to return to. We like to ski with friends, and hotels are prime since people can come for as many or as few days as they like versus a rental property when everyone has to be on pretty much the same time table. We've done vacations like this before with great success at other venues, this one just seems to be a bit less inviting.

Abby was great when making reservations, however it was all downhill from there. Room was dirty, (grapevines and dried grapes in the corner of the room from previous occupant never cleaned up. Wifi as an amenity only worked in certain spots at the hotel, and the pool was closed unless you went down to the service desk and asked for it to be opened. Breakfast buffet was cold unless you ate the waffles and they were warm because you made them on the spot yourself. Ive stayed many different places and everyone in the hotel business knows what a roll a way or cot is apparently at this best western they had never heard of one. We originally booked a stay of three weeks however after the first two nights we cancelled our stay for the coming weeks.

We skied at Brettonwoods and then drove back to 93 North and went two exits up and this hotel is literally off the highway and 1 minute drive to dinner so while it took 15 minutes to get there, was easier to get back on the highway and drive home the next morning. Hotel pool was nice for kids and pretty warm considering it was winter time. They offered a really nice buffet breakfast with eggs, bacon, home fries, waffles, yogurt, pastry selection and fruit cups which are popular with kids. Everything was very neat and clean and staff were super friendly and helpful. While we wish they had a hot tub after a long day of skiing, the prices were reasonable and we would stay there again. They also had vending machines, laundry machines and a small number of exercise machines although nothing opened until 8am and I usually get up at 6am to work out so I was not able to take advantage of it. Otherwise, it was an enjoyable stay.

We booked this as a "last resort" and it turned out to be a gem we could continue to use. We planned to ski Bretton Woods for 2 days and just needed a place to crash for the night. AirBNB were booked and the rooms at the Mt. Washington Resort were 5x the price, not worth it if not using the amenities. This Best Western is about 25 minutes from Bretton Woods skiing (and still on the way if coming from Boston). It was clean, welcoming, and very easy off the highway. I worried there would not be any food/amenities around, but just 10 minutes further up the road is Littleton NH which has a large commercial stretch (Walgreens, Applebees, The 99, Walmart) --this came in very handy when my daughter was sick and we had to go get supplies. We've stayed a couple of times at the Lodge at Bretton Woods to ski and we think this Best Western is better than The Lodge -- tho it is 25 minutes away whereas the Lodge is next door to the ski mountain and offers use of the Mt Washington Resort amenities. This Best Western also offers breakfast which seemed to be on par with a Residence Inn offering: self service scrambled eggs, waffle maker, bagels, & may cereals --fantastic for those hitting the slopes early. There were 2 luggage carts in the lobby which made lugging our ski gear so much easier. We didn't plan to use it, but it sure came in handy when we needed it: There's a pay for use washer & dryer down near the indoor pool & fitness room. The staff was super nice, gave many food, hike & directional suggestions and were helpful to our needs. We'd definitely stay here again.

Sadly this hotel did not meet my expectations at a cost of close to $200 per night. The room was worn, incredibly small and not clean. The toilet had waste stain in and on the underside of the seat. I also spotted a disguising stain on the shower curtain as well as visible hairs in the shower. The wall next to the bed needed a good wipe down too. Since we spent very little time in the room and were tired from traveling, I did not voice a complaint. Our luggage was unpacked and I'm certain another room would have been in the same condition. I was not surprised about the cleanliness of the hotel because I did read other reviews but there are not many choice for accommodations on this area. I picked up a few disinfectant wipes in the fitness room to wipe down handles and cleaned some of the mess myself. My concern is if I can see this much, what else is lingering that is not visible?

Overall stay was good. Lobby was nice and the breakfast was good. The room was in need of more detail cleaning. Bathroom included. Exterior of the building looked to be in decent shape and well kept. The wifi worked well, fast enough to meet my needs. TV had an extensive package of channels to choose from.

We were only there for one night. The staff on the desk were very welcoming and friendly. The room was clean and spacious and the bed comfortable. Nice view from the room too. The breakfast was very good and included .

Strong overpowering chemical odor forced us to leave the room and go elsewhere. Fortunately we were able to get a refund; there was no way anyone could safely sleep in the room. The desk clerk said not true, but we suspect the rugs had been disinfected, or perhaps the room had been fumigated. This room should have been fully aired about before allowing customers to stay. We stay often at Best Westerns but won't stay in this one again.

My 2nd time here in a year. Nice clean spacious room. Close to most attractions. Hotel has swimming pool and gym room. Breakfast was ok but could be better. Staffs were nice and helpful. I have booked for my next year foliage trip. Highly recommended!

My family and I stayed at the Best Western White Mountain Inn for one night. We checked in and were surprised how run down, old, and was a bit dirty. After checking in we were all hungry and rushed out for dinner, upon our return I left my family in the car so I could talk to the reception about getting our money back for the room. I explained to him our room not only did not look very clean but it had a funny smell. He let me know there were no rooms available + he could not refund me my money without a 3 day notice. Also housekeeping was not available to clean the room better:(. I called booking.com and they talked to the front desk and the same message was given. I can't understand why after checking being unhappy with the hotel I could not get a refund.

Best little gem. Clean, quiet and clean. Great spot and location. Friendly staff......we always enjoy our stay here. Been coming here for years. Love the pool and hot tub as well. We will be returning every year.

The hotel sits far enough off the N 93 that you don't hear the traffic. Checked in at 3:00 p.m. - only 1 staff member on duty - took about 20 minutes. The hotel was clean, room was nice. Breakfast had a good variety. The hotel was packed/crowded.

We arrive at the beginning of autumn when the foliage was just on the brink an explosion of yellows, orange and reds. The scenery was gorgeous as we drove into the Best Western White Mountain Inn but the scenery turned into a quaint looking Inn from the outside to really bland reception. Our room was clean but would not win any design awards. What truly disappointed me about this place was their hospitality—or lack thereof. It started with breakfast (included in the price). The breakfast hours were from 6:30-9:30 AM. We came in just at 9:25 AM and the dining room was have many guests strolling and taking their time as the hotel staff frantically removed food as guests were serving themselves. I got the last of the scrambled eggs. But the gentleman who was waiting after me saw a full pan of scrambled eggs whisked away with only the explanation that "breakfast was over." It was a scene right out of the Grinch Who Stole Christmas, "He took the Whos' feast! He took the Who-pudding! He took the roast beast! He cleaned out that icebox as quick as a flash. Why that Grinch even took their last can of Who-hash!" The Best Western White Mountain was the opposite of welcoming. It was the hotel that wanted guests to leave and when we checked out there were no pleasantries bidding us farewell, asking us if we had a nice stay or even hospitality 101, a genuine smile.

Franconia was not our first choice but we were very glad in retrospect we did not find an opening in Lincoln. This hotel is tucked back on a small slope near a highway exit [very convenient]. The view of the mountain & woodlands is very nice. There was no traffic sounds at all. The rooms though dated in decor were clean. The staff was VERY helpful, welcoming, polite, & gracious. There were guests here from around the world English speaking, Asian, French, all received the same excellent service. The breakfast buffet was very varied & though the food was just fair you good see how hard the staff tried to please. We would definitely stay here again, away from all the tourist hubbub in Lincoln.

Nice motel just off Interstate 93 North. Well kept and clean. Did not use the pool or eat breakfast there. Room was adequate for our needs. Check in was fast and courteous. Not too many TV stations but this is Northern New Hampshire, hills, mountains etc. yes it was cable TV but selection was not great. Parking lot was a bit bumpy (frost heaves in September, I think not). A nice change from the other hotels in the area. I believe I will stay here again! Located in Franconia, close to many attractions and Littleton, N.H

There isn't much around the Mount Washington area. We arrived very late after a long drive, and had an early morning departure to catch the cog railway up Mount Washington. The room was clean, the two beds were comfortable, and the room A/C worked well. It's nice to have breakfast included, but the A/C in the breakfast area wasn't up to the task, and it was so oppressively hot that we couldn't enjoy our free breakfast. That said, the food was ok and if we weren't so tired and if we had gotten two more hours of sleep, we might have been happier. This is a typical BW, and provides just what was expected.

I was traveling with my family, I reserved two rooms. Upon check in we checked both rooms that were next to each other. My mother's room was good so we then checked on my room. I walked in, and the smell of smoke immediately overwhelmed me. I went to the young girl at the front desk to complain. She said all rooms are smoke free so I must be mistaken. I then told her to come with me, and as we entered the room I let her know, the window was open to air out the room. When I told her I didn't want this room, and since I'm an Elite member, maybe I should get an upgrade. She looked at her computer and said, we only have a room with two queen beds. I told her I had a king and I would prefer that, she commented and said that's all we have now. I looked at the parking lot and there were about 15 cars only and it was late! I took the room, and it had a slight smell, but I was only going to be there for 2 days. What really infuriated me was I had a package sent to the hotel, I'd called ahead to make sure this was ok, they said absolutely, when I got back to the room and looked at the package I noticed the security tape was cut, and the package was opened. I called Best Western to complain, I later learned the the GM, Mr. Patel had lied, and said I was upgraded with a mountain view and everything was fine. I told customer service that I never got a room upgrade, and absolutely not with a mountain view. The GM never reached out to me by either calling me, knocking on my door, leaving a message under my door, etc.! The GM said he was waiting for me to come talk to him... It's not my obligation as a paying customer to hunt this manager down and argue with him. I'm on vacation and looking for something stress free! There are many other hotels around that you should stay at. This location is dirty, mgmt (family run) are liars, and considering what you pay for a room, I would pass this property up! If all the Best Western hotels I stayed at, former Diamond member, now platnium, I can honestly say with any hesitation....this was the WORST hotel ever.

We stayed here this weekend for 2 nights. Staff at check in was super nice and helpful. The room was clean but very cramped with 2 queen beds. The ac/heater unit was noisey and hard to get a happy medium on the temp, the bed is way to close to the unit so the person sleeping closest to it is freezing while the person on the other side of the bed is hot. The bathroom was ok, toilet flushed funny and it ran for a long time after flushing. The pool area was clean however t he water was freezing, our daughter enjoyed it, us not so much. The breakfast was typical for a hotel and the food was what you would expect, however the seating area is extremely cramped and small . The hot coco machine was broke- no big deal, but the staff was trying to fix it while it was super hectic in there which only added to chaos. We were constantly having to stand up while eating to let people go by or get to their seats. The beds are awful as well as the pillows. The pillows are odd they are small and wat to soft and way to lumpy. Overall it was an ok stay it served its purpose. The town however is very limited on entertainment and dining. We had to travel 9 miles to the next town to get dinner, not the hotels fault just a heads up for future travelers. I have to say all the staff that we encountered were very friendly and very helpful with directions etc. The hotel itself was clean. Not sure if I would stay here again

Context: we recently lost my grandmother (mom's side), and for mom's 60th birthday we planned a trip to Santa's Village as a family (my parents, my wife and I, and our 2 kids). Things have been rough for our family lately but we've looked forward to this opportunity to just enjoy some time together. My father reserved 2 rooms at the Best Western White Mountain Inn for Saturday, 8/25 (tomorrow), and all was thought to be set. I called today to confirm that we were set to bring a dog to the room for my wife and I, and was unaware I had to book a specific room way ahead of time. Our dog is an 8 lb Havanese (does not shed) who is potty trained and is in training to be a therapy dog for my wife. I was told we could bring him, but it would be an extra 100 dollars "cleaning fee" (must be an expensive vacuum!) instead of 20. I explained that in a similar situation at a different hotel, the staff was understanding and waived the additional fee, and explained my story. The staff member on the phone was entirely unsympathetic and very rude and snarky. After becoming frustrated with the attitude, I said I felt like this was BS (except I used the word), and the staff member hung up on me. I admittedly should not have used that word, but as I said, we are under circumstances that have me on edge, and this was just the final straw in terms of stuff that could go wrong. At no point did I raise my voice, use any other language, attack the staff member personally, or say anything else that could be perceived as offensive. I indicated I would not be recommending the hotel to anyone I know and that I felt the treatment I was receiving was unacceptable (referring more to the customer service than the actual issue with the pet room). Upon calling back, the staff member answered the phone, told me she would not talk to me, that she was cancelling both reservations, and hung up on me again. After this, she would not answer any additional calls. I called Best Western corporate, who called the hotel and found out that the manager had ordered her to cancel both reservations (despite the fact my parents were not involved and had nothing to do with this, and the reservations were under their name not mine), as well as add all of our names to their "Do Not Reserve" list so that we may never again stay at their property. The corporate folks apologized profusely, and indicated they could do nothing as this is an independent franchise. They read me the statement from the staff member at the hotel, who had overstated my words and approach tremendously, and ensured that my side was accurately captures as well, which I appreciated. At the end of the day, I just wanted to cancel the 2nd room, stay home with my wife and dog, and let my parents enjoy my kids for the night before heading to Santa's Village the next day. While I shouldn't have said BS, the immediate move to cancel our reservations and ban us from ever staying there again (especially my parents, who did nothing wrong) was just so incredibly uncalled for, and showed a total lack of humanity on the part of the hotel staff member and manager. If I was truly rude or made the call personal, I would be all for banning me. I can be a jerk sometimes. But at no point did I reach that point on this call. I called back to apologize and was told the manager would call me at 3 when he got in. He did not call me, and when I called to speak to him, I was told "he comes and goes as he pleases, there's no saying exactly when he'll be here". Completely unhelpful. I am trying to get this to a resolution and handle the issue professionally, but continue to encounter the opposite. Despite not staying there, based on this experience I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone. It sounds like this is not an isolated customer service approach or incident, judging by other reviews, so I feel completely justified in leaving this review. I travel extensively for business and stay at hotels of all shapes and sizes all over the country, and while I've encountered less-than-optimal customer service before, this experience has ruined the weekend for my entire family, put a cloud over my mom's birthday, and added one more negative experience to what's been a challenging couple of months for our family. A little bit of empathy and understanding in their approach could have gone a long way.

Hotel is well-sited in Franconia, in beautiful White Mountains of New Hampshire. Rooms were clean and nicely furnished. The handicap-accessible room had a tub with a portable shower seat, not a wheelchair-accessible shower, however. Our rooms were immediately off the Lobby area, but noise was only a problem early morning with guests going to breakfast room. Desk and breakfast attendants were prompt and friendly. Minor problem with room door bolt was fixed promptly. Breakfast room was small, but very well stocked with a variety of items, including eggs and bacon, hot and cold cereals, pastries and waffles. Gluten Free items were available upon request, needed and much appreciated! A washer and dryer are downstairs, soap and dryer sheets are available at the front desk. All were very reasonably priced. A small workout room had 3 machines in good working condition. I did not use the indoor pool, but it seemed popular with families. Our stay was for two nights, wish it had been longer! So much to see and do in the area.

We spent a night. Hotel correct. Too much of a queue for breakfast. Nice and comfortable bed. Old style that needs upgrading. Reasonably quite. Easy access. Ideal for a stop along the way but would not return if not necessary

This hotel is very secluded and very nice. The rooms are very old it seems, my AC kept me up most nights but kept me cool. Staff was okay, breakfast was better than average, a lot of information in the lobby, spiral staircase is neat. Not very crowded at all.

Although this hotel is right off the interstate which allows easy access, there is not much around. We had to drive to Littleton to eat. The room was clean and a good size and the breakfast was typical. What we did not like was the chlorine smell throughout the hotel. They need a better filtration system.

staff worked well with our needs. Breakfast was normal with fruit and yogurt and normal breakfast fare. Summer in a winter resort. Quiet!!! Shower worked well for us. Wallace Rd Hill is a long road, don't give up..

The hotel is very conveniently located right off the interstate and has a really nice staff. The views aren't half bad either... the only downside is that we had to drive to Littleton to find a place to eat and a quick Walgreens/Walmart stop.

This hotel is up to the Best Western Plus standards of comfort, cleanliness and staff. Room was spacious and clean. Staff were most pleasant and helpful..... one even ran out to the parking lot as we were checking out after finding a phone charger that we had left behind! We did think that the breakfast area could have used one or two less tables as it was rather crowded. The breakfast was quite good however with many choices.

A far cry from the rush & noise of southern New England. In turn one has to realize the activities are somewhat limited unless of course you like the mountains. It does limited one's activities when one reaches 80. But one knows that. The town of Franconia goes to bed @ 9 pm. It appears that the hotel was fairly old but has had some remodeling done to it. Rental rates were reasonable. My phone (T Mobile) was unable to reach anyone in Pennsylvania.

This is a beautiful hotel, boththe hotel and the location. The rooms are VERY clean. It's fairly close to Mount Washington. If you go to exit 42, there are a lot of restaurants. The continental breakfast had something for everyone. bacon and eggs one day, sausage and eggs the other (we stayed two days)...and my favorite thing of all, they had a coffeemaker where you could specify the strength of the coffee that you wanted, and three different kinds of syrup to add to it (hazelnut, french vanilla, and caramel).

We stayed here for two nights in July 2018. The hotel is clean and pleasantly appointed, close to mt. Washington and other sites. Breakfast included was good. Check on not so good. One person on the front desk to serve 8 people checking in. Just over 45 min., at other times no one on the desk and you had to pick up the phone and wait.

We stayed here for 3 nights while vacationing in the White Mountains. It is clean and newly constructed with freshly paved driveway. It is conveniently located off 93 near all the tourist spots. The breakfast was hearty with eggs and sausage as well as continental offerings. I wished they had GF bread options for us with allergies. The pool was cold but indoors and refreshing. They have a workout center in the basement. The staff was helpful and friendly. We had a good stay!

We stayed only one night. The room was clean and the staff are amazing! We had breakfast before we left, and it was serve yourself. Lots of food option and very clean. We are definatley going to rebook at a best western!

The hospitality we experienced at the Best Western White Mountain in Franconia, NH, was everything we expected plus more. Beyond the comfortable, the staff care and breakfast were above and beyond. We were offered a haven from an approaching mid-afternoon severe thunderstorm that was long after our check out. I had hoped to be able to sit in the lobby but was offered the pool and recreation area at no additional cost for the couple of hours that we were in danger. What kindness!!! We also appreciated the array of breakfast options with perfectly done scrambled eggs and bacon to fuel a very busy day in addition to a variety of oatmeals and many toppings for the oatmeal, cereals, and waffles. The fresh fruit and yogurt were my granddaughters favorite. Thank you BW White Mountain Inn.

This hotel can easily be accessed from the freeway. Adjoining rooms are available and the hotel is fairly quiet. We didn't want an adjoining room, but we got one and asked if they could make sure no one was placed in that room if possible - and they were able to accommodate our wishes as they did not have a full hotel that evening. We appreciated the quiet as adjoining room walls are rather thin. Great breakfast included in the morning. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

A beautiful hotel tucked away in Franconia. Right off the I-93. Very well maintained. Rooms are very clean. Water pressure and temp in the showers was great. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Has a great breakfast. Down the road from restaurants and shopping. Recommend eating at The Dutch Treat. Two minutes down the road. Pool is very clean and refreshing. Second year staying here. Will defiantly be back.

its nothing great, indoor pool water not heated ,breakfast was ok ,but no resturant on promises ,not muck in area ,gas station market place ,place for breackfast that is it in area ,closest attration is 40 minutes away ,not sure why they built motel there ,builging is not that old but not kept in good shape ,lot help dont speack inglish

It wasn't the best place we've stayed, but it filled a need. Clean & quiet with a very decent buffet breakfast. We were very comfortable & the hotel is conveniently located. The only complaint I can think of--slow drains & some employees lacked that friendly quality you hope to see.

So convenient to the Lupine Festival in Sugar Hill. Convenient also to Rt. 93 to go sight seeing up north. Hotel has everything we needed and didn't need. We didn't use the indoor pool, but it looked lovely. Neat, clean, comfortable, and front desk was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a typical serve yourself breakfast. Nothing fancy, bit good. All was a good fit for us!

Was glad to have a comfortable stay. Did not make reservations ahead of time but felt comfortable stopping as Best Western has served us well in our travels. staff was very helpful with recommendations for restaurants, etc in the area.

As I sit here by the ice cold freezing pool I have a maintenance worker standing over me working on something? Looking into what I was told was a heated pool. As you can see no one is in the pool. We saw a couple come and stick their toes in and leave. The temperature is 78 degrees. A pool should be at least into the 80s if it is considered heated. I was told I could leave if I didn't like it! Lesson learned, ask what is their pool temperature next time. At least we are enjoying the White Mountains!

Staff was not helpful at desk. We had mutliple bags and they watched us and did not offer assistance at all. Did not even offer to hold the front door with a baby. Nothing special.. Nothing to do near by.. Quiet no view of mountains at all wood area

We Hf as such a wonderful experience with the the nice girl at check in! She was helpful and informative. She directed us to a great place to eat and gave us lots of info about the area! I only wish I could remember her name! Room was clean and breakfast was fine. Best western is my choice when traveling!

The Best Western White Mountain Inn is located by the town of Franconia in New Hampshire. Its location is near all the attractions and scenery along I-93 and rt. 3. It is a very quiet, comfortable hotel with a clean room, internet, etc. Breakfast in the morning is available and has a variety of foods to choose from. Hotel staff are courteous and friendly. This hotel is also pet-friendly.

We arrived as walk ins and were quickly booked into a room, they even gave us a room with a view as I requested. The room was clean and neatly appointed. The staff was all very pleasant, even the housekeeping staff acknowledged us in the hallway. When we extended a 2ND night, the HK quickly got us towels as we did not need our room serviced. The continental breakfast they presented neatly in a bright breakfast room. There were choices for all of us and it was a great start to the day. My son enjoyed the pool, which was also very clean in a pleasant room.

If you want to be away from the hustle and bustle but still close enough to the fun this is the place to go in the White Mountains. The surrounding area is beautiful. There is a a market down the street and a great local bar- restaurant if you do not want to go to the next town over,. Littleton

I reserved a pet friendly room months in advance for Monday, April 2nd. When I arrived, the check in process was going smoothly enough until I was asked for my ID and credit card. We had already established that I had a dog and that the $20 pet fee was fine and would be added to the rate. I was digging in my purse for my license and reading the Pet Friendly rules while the manager was entering credit card information on the computer. I said sotto voice "Pet friendly, my (mild expletive deleted)". Simply my opinion that there should be no extra charge if a hotel was truly pet friendly. Apparently, the manager thought I said it to him. A discussion ensued that was neither disrespectful nor volatile by either of us. I was asked if there were other hotels that did not charge for pets and I mentioned two that I knew about. At that point I was told that I should go stay at one of them as he was refusing service. There were no other pet friendly rooms available in the area. I was shocked. I had a 5 hour drive home; I'm 65 years old, a female traveling alone with a diabetic dog that needed her dinner and insulin and this guy won't give me a room? Customer care was no help either as they "empower" their front desk people to do whatever they feel best. In this case, the "punishment" does not fit the "crime". I will continue to review this hotel on other sites until a high standard of customer service is created and enforced. No way should I have been refused a room based on a simple comment and discussion.

This hotel has made big improvements over the past 2 years. A lot of upgraded renovations. Staff is very friendly and professional. The breakfast could still use some improvement, but certainly acceptable.

Great hotel staff and very clean. The views were incredible and I would stay again definitely. I wish there was room service or some type of food though. We had to drive on the highway to get food and then come back. A little cafe or restaurant would have been great ! I would recommend for the views and solitude and the cleanliness .

VINNEY the “manager” at the front desk was very unprofessional, impatient and rude. my boyfriends mother booked our room for us and she specifically said that she is booking for her son and that was not a problem. They did not mention that she needed to be there with her card or fill out paperwork for us to check in. Vinney asked “where we have been all these years” and “what millennium we were in”. He told us he suspected fraud and canceled our reservation and sold our room before we could try to transfer our money back over to our accountant . We drove three hours after working a full eight hour day in Maine to get there just after 8:00 at night. Tip for vinny: at least recommend to your valued customers who have no idea where they are going in a state they are not from get to a place that that will possibly accept them! We will NEVER stay at a best western and will not recommend anyone to a best western.

First time staying here and went with my wife for my bday and everything about this place was great. The beds are so comfy you just want to stay in it all day. The pool is nice and the fitness room was ok too. I went down one day for breakfast and it was fine but they could use better eggs

We arrived on a Saturday afternoon and stayed until Sunday morning. The view from the room was very nice and the breakfast was very good. I had no problems with the wifi as I do in most hotels. The hotel was clean and the staff seemed to be friendly. I would give 5 stars but there was No Bible in the night stand.

Nice hotel, stayed after visiting the ice castles. It was very clean and the staff was very nice. Breakfast the next day was surprisingly good. There was a good selection of food. They eggs were light and fluffy and warm. Would definitely stay there on our next visit.

This place is filthy. The comforters are stained with disgusting who knows what. The bathroom had someone else's hair everywhere. Our daughter came home with bed bug bites. They charged us a mysterious 31$ upon leaving we will never ever ever ever bring our family here again. Gross place and food.

Our room was nice and clean, beds comfortable. Breakfast was pretty good. We had stayed before & went back because of the hot tub (which was listed on the website). Very dismayed to be told when we went to get in it that it had been removed weeks before. Did use the pool, which was nice - but water and room cold (below zero outside - but that is expected in the White Mountains). Our room key would not work one evening - they did get us into our room within 20 minutes - but then spend another 25 working on the lock.....Didn't really feel like that. While the front desk people were pleasant and somewhat helpful, the prevailing attitude was " I just work here, I am not responsible. We asked for a small discount because of lack of hot tub - manager did not respond that day or to an email. And, he was not helpful or apologetic re door issue. We had a few other small issues I won't even bother to mention. Guess I am old school but feel customer satisfaction should be No. 1 priority - especially when everyone wants you to write a review and fill out surveys. Don't think we'd go back.

Great hotel about 25 min from Bretton Woods with clean rooms and very comfortable bed. Breakfast was great and staff was helpful & friendly. Pool is a decent size but they got rid of the hot tub which was great after a day of skiing. Last year they offered discount lift tickets to area ski resorts, but this year they only had them for Cannon Mountain. This is the second year in a row we've stayed here with friends and would do it again!

When we first arrived, the receptionist was very nice and warm, and was truly a pleasure. She was lovely. However, she quoted the rate of our room incorrectly, and when I showed her our confirmation email with the rate on it, she called her manager. My family and I ended up waiting 20+ minutes in the lobby while she clearly was not getting the support that she needed from the manager. I said that we were certainly not going to pay above what the rate that we had on our confirmation was, and I then asked to speak to the manager. This was the most horrendous part. When I got on the phone, he immediately started to scold me saying that we are not allowed to give him directions, and that he was going to cancel our reservation. It was 3:30pm, and -5 degrees out, and when I reminded him of this, and that we have 2 small children, he replied that "he didn't care", and that he was frustrated with the whole thing. I had to plead with him which was unacceptable, and the only reason he came to his senses was because I put my husband on the phone, and he seemed to have felt better talking to a man. We will NEVER stay at this place again. The rest of the staff was lovely, but the pool is freezing, the pool area was freezing, and the manager was disturbingly rude. I have never given a place a negative review, as we normally have wonderful stays at hotels, so this should tell you something.

I have stayed at the Best Western Franconia several times. We stay yearly when we go to Santa's Village. The hotel may be half an hour from the Village but it is worth the trip. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is nice. I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to the area.

Quiet spot, great service, very comfortable rooms and beds. It was our son's 31th birthday and we decided to be overflow. We got a great nights sleep and would recommend to everyone. Very close to Cannon Mt. too

Everything was old and crappy. Nothing around this hotel for food options. It is in the middle of no where. Mattress on the bed was paper thin. Limited channel option on TV. Don't stay here. I have nothing else to add

Enjoyed our 2 night stay. Was very clean and quiet, breakfast was nice, had plenty of hot water, pool water was cold so we used the hot tub instead. Will definitely stay there again as very close to shopping districts and rates are so much better that other hotels in the area for what the hotel has to offer.

Arrived here after a lovely sightseeing drive from Montpelier, Vermont. The grounds are lovely and the rooms are large, well appointed, and clean. We had enough room and chairs to invite our travel companions in for wine. Altho the breakfast room is small, it was well supervised and tables were not a problem. Having the coffee station outside the food room was helpful.

Have stayed at this specific Best Western for just about all of our trips to New Hampshire. It has always been clean and well maintained and we always look forward to staying here. It is central to many fun things to do.

This hotel was just off the freeway and not far from Littleton. It seemed quite a reasonable hotel. We had a twin bedded room right next to the reception where there was a constant supply of coffee and hot water. We had free WiFi. Our stay also included a continental style breakfast. The hotel pool was lovely and had a lovely view of a church. It was any a 10 min drive to Littleton which had restaurants. We only stayed on night here. It was fine.

Stayed at the Best Western White Mountain Inn for one night. Room was comfortable and clean and quiet. They had a nice selection for breakfast. 3 juices, eggs, sausage and potatoes. Friendly employees.

We arrived early Saturday and check in right away, we assume they will give us room with the view when there no one in the parking lot. Wrong! Please make sure to ask for room with the view upon check in. The first room we were in was a bit dingy, view was the parking lot.The second room was cleaner and smells a lot better, view was of the mountains. We were able to enjoy the cold pool water and waited our time for the small 4 people hot tubs. The hot tubs was occupied by kids even though the sign said no one under 16 year old, no one ever listen to the rule. The pool has a divider making sure the kids doesn't go over above 3 feet, after the 3feet, the bottom of the pool is a dipped quickly into 6feet, be careful! Now for the small breakfast areas, small but plenty of hot foods, today we had eggs, bacon and hush puppies side with waffles, hot chocolate was hit with my Kids. Coffee/tea is available 24/7. Overall this inn was a great place to stay, quiet and peaceful. Walmart/Shaw/shopping is just up 93 North exit 42 only 8-10 mins drive.

This hotel was adequate for an overnight stay but not any longer. It is conveniently located near the highway for easy on and off. The room was comfortable but the hotel could use some updating. The breakfast at a was also too small and crowded to accommodate guests and the breakfast choices were limited.

Stayed here for one night during our tour of NewEngland. We arrived at night, and it didn't give s very good first impression, however when we woke in the morning it all looked much better. The rooms were large, very clean, and had an enormous bed! Staff all very helpful. The buffet breakfast was excellent, however having to use paper plates and plastic knives and forks did spoil it s little! Overall a nice place to stay.

The hotel was comfortable and clean. Our only issue was the width of the room. The distance between the bottom of the bed and the wall with the chest of drawers and table and chairs was narrow. In an otherwise great room, it seems the designers sacrificed width in order to save money or get more rooms out of the length of the building. Other than that we were happy with the staff, location, and appearance of the hotel.

We really liked the location of this hotel, especially since there is so much to see in the area. The room was really nice and comfortable too. I'd definitely stay here again. The breakfast area was a bit cramped, but the choice of items was good.

We spent one night at this hotel last night. As soon as we entered the first stairwell that lead to our room the smell of damp was overpowering. Then when we entered our corridor outside the room, it smelt better. But that damp was worrying. The hotel should fix that. The room was nice. Standard BW stuff, with extremely comfortable beds, and a lovely view out of the window. Reception on arrival was friendly and efficient. However the next morning, the girl manning Reception and the breakfast was offhand and bordering on rude. Might I suggest to Management that she has a little extra training in Customer Service?? Breakfast was adequate and plentiful with quite good coffee. All things considered it was a good night's stay, and if we were in the area again, we would probably return to this hotel.

I don't usually write reviews but i know I look at the reviews as I travel. This hotel was the only option and it was late so we stayed at this location. We were told it was the last room available. Although the parking lot was empty. The guy at the Desk was friendly when we checked in. The room was ok but it was dirty and not worth what we paid. The breakfast was lacking ( I could handle that) but the worst part was how unkept the serving area was. Very dirty! Trash overflowing, dirty tables and I even saw a rat trap with droppings where the food was being stored. Clean it up and this wouldn't be a bad stay.

This Best Western provided what we wanted - a good sized clean room, plenty of parking, nice outlook and position, quite a good breakfast with various options. A solid Best Western standard hotel located very close to some very pretty towns and scenic drives. Some nice food options nearby as well.

We chose this hotel as a place to stay before visiting White Mountain National Forest. Overall, it's a bit outdated and could benefit from some renovation. Our room was clean and big enough for us. The bathroom counter was a bit too small. Although we had a ground floor room, we didn't hear much noise from the upstairs room. There is some noticeable traffic noise from the nearby highway. They seem to be using scented candles (or perhaps some kind of spray) to give the place an autumn scent. The smell wasn't unpleasant, but perhaps a bit too strong. Allergy sufferers, be aware. There doesn't seem to be much in terms of restaurants or services in the town of Franconia, but this place is a reasonable drive from other towns, such as Littleton, where there are plenty of places to eat and shop. As always, we appreciate the included breakfast and Wifi.

Stayed for 2 nights 28th and 29th sept 2017. Could not believe we had to eat breakfast on paper plates and had to use plastic cutlery, this is a first and hopefully a last. We had to ask about changing facilities for pool, none available? Expected to go back to room to change and shower! Did not use. Did not think it value for money, no bar/food or communal area. On the plus side, it's based in a good location and the room was a decent size and clean.

Great vibe from the front desk. Arrived in the evening with no reservation. No problem getting a checked in. I wouldn't try this during leaf season. What is better than making your own waffles for breakfast? Their maker churns out four mini waffles. Yummy.

I'm not going to lie, I was a bit concerned about this place upon booking and travelling to this small town, but when we got there I was pleasantly surprised. The check in register asked us if we wanted to see the room to make sure it was ok before we committed to it...I have never had a hotel do this before. We stayed on the first floor and I was worried we would hear alot of noise, but we didn't at all. The staff was very friendly, the room was huge and clean and pretty up to date

Rating lowered because of bad breakfast experience -- cold "hot" food -- and breakfast room is crowded. Not major problems, but easily fixable. Staff very helpful. Location convenient for touring area.

The hotel was located in a convenient location, rooms were clean, and food and coffee were good. But unfortunately the walls were thin and we could hear everything from the room next door even though they didn't talk loud. Also, the beds were squeaky and not too comfortable. Lastly, I feel attention to detail is important. After the first night room service did not replace coffee for the next 2 days.

I usually stay at the Hampton Inns and thought I'd try Best Western. Disappointed except the location was wonderful.

would NOT. Never have we been treated so rudely, we had the misfortune of viewing 3 rooms-dirty pillows, stained sheets, filthy coffee makers, dirty carpets, stains on microwave, in all 3 rooms.rude argumentative front desk associate (John) insinuating we we're lying, having entered our room without permission whilst we weren't their. In the morning when the manager(vinkal Patel) was on, he refused despite many requests to come and view our room and bedding and was extremely ignorant and arrogant insinuating we had "premeditated" this so as not to pay and telling us that reward membership meant nothing to him,before telling us to leave, before we had breakfast of which was included In the price. This was extremely bad service and zero value for money, we will be filing a complaint with best western and the New Hampshire better business bureau as we feel that guests should not be treated this way and accept these conditions.the exterior of the hotel belies the low quality of the inside rooms.

So so hotel. Poor signage. Driveway was like a washboard. What happens when it snows? Guest in room upstairs squeeked the floor often. Lobby was non-welcoming. A poor layout for incoming guests. Breakfast room was tiny. No way you could get more than 15 people in there.

Was skeptical about going to this hotel. Pet friendly hotels are FAR and FEW in between and although some say "Pet Friendly" they ARE NOT! We arrived Friday night and stayed until Sunday. There were many other fury pets there and not one caused a ruckus! Needless to say we were VERY impressed and will be back again.

I and my boyfriend are from the UK and were visiting family in the US, and they chose this hotel for us to stay over night while we visited the white mountains. Rooms were very spacious, and beds were so comfy and big. We had a great view from our room. Ok pool and hot tub. Weirdest thing I found was the hotel had no bar, and where you are there isn't much entertainment nearby. I'd probably say one night it's enough here. Pleasant stay

A lovely, clean Best Western...elevators, pleasant staff...good breakfast...comfortable, clean, quiet rooms at a great value...one of our most pleasant BW on this trip in a very convenient location for travelers.

We arranged a last minute trip to Santa's Village in Jefferon NH and were unable to find a hotel close by. This one was only 35 min away so I figured it won't be too bad. After walking into the hotel to check in I realized it needed some updating and cleaning. After getting into the room I found it to be a little tight compared to other hotels we have stayed in. There was no real counter space for makeup, toiletries etc...very small space for possibly toothbrushes. The shower/tub space was small as well. I always check the bedding in every hotel I stay in and when I checked the bedding I noticed hair on the cover of the mattress which means they never changed the mattress pad they just put the sheets right over it. After taking off the pad to check the mattress on the other bed I noticed a large pee stain on the mattress. It was obviously never noticed and cleaned. This would be noticed when changing the pad, if they ever did. I took all the bedding off both beds and called down to the front desk. The gentleman was but when he explainedsomeokne will be right up to take care of it and flip the mattress, I stated but the stain will still be there just on the other side. Needless to say they never cleaned it not did they turn the mattress. Yuk!! The pool looked old and it looked like an outdoor pool that was covered for indoors. The water was freezing and the hot tub looked dirty!!! We won't be staying here ever again, 180.00 a room!!!

This is an average hotel with a good location off the highway (Interstate 93). Room was pleasant, nothing special. It provided us with what we needed for our 2 night stay. We would recommend it for pricing during the week, weekend the rates go up approximately $70 for a Friday (with our senior rate), don't know about Saturday or Sunday. There is an indoor pool & jacuzzi which our grandson thoroughly enjoyed. Breakfast included was abundant & fresh throughout the morning (6:30-9:30).

On a recent trip to the White Mountains we spent a night at The Best Western in Franconia, NH. This hotel was right off of interstate 93 so very convenient to being close to the town of Franconia or Sugar Hill as well as other parts of NH. This hotel had great value for an indoor pool, breakfast room, very clean room and common areas. The rooms also have mini fridges and microwaves and was quiet also the view from the hotel property was beautiful overlooking Franconia Notch NH. I would recommend a stay at this hotel. If you are skier the closer resort would be Cannon Mtn., Loon Mtn. & Bretton Woods.

We wanted to be near Franconia Notch, and this hotel is only minutes away. Our room was fine and the bed and pillows very VERY comfortable. Breakfast was nothing special but good enough. There was a nice pool and a little terrace where we could sit outside and watch the sun set. I'd definitely stay there again.

Overall, thought it was very nice. Breakfast excellent. Hotel In a very beautiful location. If you like being in the woods this is the place. Bring a book if it rains Wintertime you can go skiing. Summertime lots to do, hiking, boating in other areas would need a car. sight seeing. Lot to do with the kids. But remember you will need a car.

I would guess that the only reason they could charge $179 per night for this place was that it is situated amidst the wonderful White Mountains. It certainly would not be for the grandeur of the place. The hotel is old and showing its age. There were some worn carpets and other signs of age. The staff was attentive and trying hard to serve the full house. The breakfast was the typical fare, imitation eggs and lots of bread and waffles. The breakfast area was poorly designed and forced everyone to crowd each other. Totally unappetizing.

We stayed here for one night while touring Vermont and New Hampshire. We usually stay at BW, and this one didn't disappoint. Great Pool and a much better than average breakfast. There are restaurants in the area if you don't mind going for a short drive.

A modest looking place from the outside. However, on the inside awaits a clean comfortable experience you would have to see to believe. Large Bannister Stairway, An indoor pool with a hot tub. And best of all, Coffee 24/7/365. Don't love it till you try it!

My wife and I have stayed here a few times over the years and have found it to have improved. The location is good, the view exquisite and the rooms are quite nice. The recent addition of an elevator is very useful.

We stayed two nights at the BW White Mountain. The staff was very friendly and overall it was a nice stay. The hotel was quiet (even though it is just off the freeway) and we got a good nights sleep. The breakfast was typical hotel fare, however the seating area was quite small and got rather crowded. The hotel is close to Franconia Notch State Park, which is a must see. One nice "extra" were the rags located at the front entrance to clean motorcycle windshields. I used a couple to clean my car windshield after a day of collecting bugs! I would stay here again.

Room were neat and clean. Rooms could use some updating. Breakfast good with plenty of choices. Staff friendly and courteous. Hot tub needs minor repairs. Nice view of mountains. Good location to near by attractions. Parking good.

There was no waiting to get served at counter but to get checked in ,even with rooms reserved 2 weeks in advance. The shower had good pressure but was luke warm,to late to complain I was already in the shower when the water turned cold. Went to eat breakfast and could not get to the breakfast bar,one seating areaa i have of the smallest breakfast areas I ever seen. Large Hotel No excuse!!!! The grounds are very pretty,and there is a dog walk.

The one great advantage of this place is it's the perfect location for bikers or people who like outdoor activities. It's close to Mnt Washington, Conway, Kancamagus Hwy and Franconia to name a few. The Motel itself is missing some ambiance but the staff are nice and polite. The downside, you've got to have patience as the breakfast room is a little small for the amount of rooms. Bottom line, this is my second stay and I would go back.

We stayed here for a couple of nights while going to Santa's Village (which is about 45 minutes away). The room was clean and the staff was very nice and helpful. They were doing renovations while we were there, so there was random drywall up, but it did not affect our stay. The breakfast area was the standard fare for a Best Western, but it was nice not to have to worry about finding a breakfast place. The pool was clean, but the water was a bit warm for my personal liking. They also had wifi in the room.

This hotel, room, and common area were very clean. The best thing about this hotel are the beautiful mountain views and the value of the hotel was also exceptional. The staff was also helpful and courteous

I totally recommend staying here. I booked this for our family as an overnight while spending time at Santa Village. Quiet, clean, very friendly staff plus helpful with dining options. The pool was clean and delightful after a long hot day! Convenient to highway and restaurants. Breakfast was perfect for our grandchildren and us.

This is the second time we have stayed here and it was good once again. They have a great pool & hot tub that has longer hours than most (8am-10pm). It is very kid friendly. Easy access of of highway and about 25 minutes to Santa's Village. Plenty of seating for the morning breakfast. Convenient parking.

We hotel it over 100 days a year and Best Western is one of our main providers. True to Best Western's Customer Service standards, this location didn't disappoint. As a matter of fact, due to a series of unfortunate circumstances, we really needed to lean on Best Western to provide additional lodging days since our vehicle broke down. The staff was incredible. Especially since it was over the 4th of July Holiday. They were able to put us up for an additional few nights. The staff at this BW is top notch.

Clean, quiet, safe. Great location for touring Franconia area. Breakfast was the usual Best Western good. Only drawback was that it was hard to find a place for supper. Only saw one resturant nearby that didn't interest me.

Super convenient location right off the interstate. The front desk staff was very courteous and even made us a sack breakfast when we told them we were leaving very early for a hike! The rooms were clean and comfortable. It's not state of the art or super fancy but a great, clean and spacious room with a refrigerator and microwave! I'm more than thrilled with this place, especially for the price!

Great price, breakfast is a bonus, and location is ideal for access to the White Mtns. I would highly recommend staying here and look forward to spending time here in the future. Indoor pool makes it a great place to stay in the winter and keep the kids occupied.

So easy to get off and back on the interstate. We were just traveling through and it was a great place to rest and they had a great continental breakfast. Beds were very comfortable and the price was very affordable for that location.

Stayed here twice now for a yearly work conference nearby. Booking is always easy and they have good rates. Front desk staff is always friendly and helpful. Room was great- comfortable bed, and appreciated that aside from a tv the room had a fridge and microwave- you don't always find that! Would definitely reccomend this hotel to others.

We spent one night here while exploring the White Mountains. It had all the basic essentials we needed and was very quiet during our stay. The ice machine was broken, but there was a store up the road. Continental breakfast was served the next morning and had the typical yogurt/bagel type food generally offered. Convenient location for access to Franconia Notch State Park.

Only 15 minutes from the entrance of Lafayette mountain, this hotel provides large rooms, good price, a pool, picnic tables and free hot breakfast. There is also a fridge in the room, but no safe-deposit box. There is a grocery store nearby, where you can buy sandwiches and everything you need for your trek, and beer for after. The nice city of Littlelton with its good restaurants is less than 30 minutes away.

Pros: Located just north of Lincoln in a quiet area. Check-in was quick, efficient and pleasant. Room was very clean. Air conditioner worked with minimum of noise. Refrigerator was cold and little freezer was cold enough to freeze my water bottle for the next day. Cons: Heated pool was NOT heated! Hot tub was tiny - and a group of people hogged it the whole time we were down there. We asked if we could have a turn and they simply moved aside, so our relaxing hot tub experience was NOT relaxing! Breakfast was your typical, boring, yucky free hotel breakfast. The breakfast room and adjacent tables in the lobby were very crowded.

I stayed with my husband for two nights and found the rooms in poor condition, heater didn't work and fridge not turned on( lost our food). Pool not open at scheduled time. Staff inappropriate and with poor social skills. Manager did call at my request following departure, but I was in a poor service area and unable to take the call. Sent an email with no response. Very unprofessional! Recommend another location... disappointing overall.

Came for a Saturday night trip. Great hotel. Nice and quiet with a very nice view. Located conveniently next to the highway. Hotel has a great pool, hot tub, very good breakfast and a great staff. Overall great hotel with a great price. Will be back again.

We used this hotel for a 3 night ski trip to Cannon Mountain. The location was excellent, 5 minutes to the mountain. The hotel was nice, neat and clean. The room was spacious and modern. The included breakfast was a nice touch, basic but nice. If we are back in the area the Best Western White Mountains will be our choice again.

We stayed here for a week for a family wedding. We got to see a bear in the parking lot ! Pool and jacuzzi had a ton of chlorine .... too much. My wet bathing suit bleached a shirt in my suitcase. Staff was friendly, it was quiet and clean. We did stay out late some nights and the desk staff does go away but are accessible by phone. ( I think they live at the property). Small quiet town but lots to do and see around the area

Just a nice, clean, well located hotel. Very good heated pool. Friendly staff, good breakfast. Room was impeccable. Kids loved. TV, fast internet, all included. Would definitely stay there again and/or recommend it to anyone.

Stayed here with family for one night. Decided on the place because we were going to Santa's village and wanted a place with a pool. Staff was friendly and they sell Santa's village tickets here. The room wasn't to bad. Didn't have an elevator though. Rooms weren't bad. Average. Place was clean. Soft beds, lumpy pillows. Breakfast was average serving different warm and cold foods. Pool wasn't to bad with a small hot tub. About 1/2 hour from Santa's village. Would recommend staying here. Not much around but easy access to I-93 and there were places to eat and shop about 6 miles north.

This Best Western is an excellent place to stay in this beautiful area. The staff is very friendly and can give advice on seeing the area. The rooms are quiet, comfortable and clean. Breakfast is very good. The only problem we had was with large tour groups in the morning taking over the breakfast room. This happened three out of four mornings we were there.

Good basic room, clean; nice computer desk; enough electrical outlets around the room for operating/charging a variety of devices. The breakfast buffet is a nice perk but the food is very much oriented around the Standard American Diet: lots of processed foods, no real multigrain options for baked products. Hard to create a healthy choice; oatmeal consists of packaged instant. Floors creak when walking on them. Person upstairs walking back and forth in morning makes noise.

Our room was very clean and had a great view. The view was a pleasant surprise when we woke up the next morning. The staff was very friendly, he helped us with dinner suggestions and ideas. He also offered to take our luggage to our room for us.

Spent 3 nights with our 2 girls. Staff was very helpful. Room was basic (no closet/safe) clean place. Restaurant is nice. Coffee maker was in the shower...we found it strange. Food recommendations weren't that great. Find your restaurant rating on TripAdvisor.

This is our third visit here and the staff is always friendly and helpful. We are there when a few events are going on so the hotel is active. The breakfast is always busy, but is always good and kept well stocked by the staff.

Was looking for a nicer place to stay during Columbus day weekend, but found no other hotels available anywhere in the area. Chose the Best Western in out of lack of any other options, and it was a fine place to stay, served the purpose, and was in a good location for what we had planned.

Enjoyed my stay at the Best Western so much that I booked another Best Western stay in Maine the following day. The hotel gave me a 1-800 number to call for reservations. It was very convenient and easy to book another room for our stay in the state of Maine.

Off the beaten path in Franconia, this BW is a very basic hotel. Rooms on the second floor were clean, quiet, well appointed (fridge, microwave, plenty of outlets), and king size bed was very comfortable. Heat/AC was easy to operate and fairly quiet. Breakfast was very simple - tasteless eggs and home fries, bread, bagels, oatmeal, cereal, yogurt. Coffee from the vending machine was weak. Staff was friendly. Easy on/off Rt 93. Flume Gorge 15 minutes south.

Located in Franconia NH......not exactly a commercial hub. Be forewarned......NO cell service for T-Mobile nor AT&T customers. Wi-Fi supplied by the Hotel is spotty. Lower floor rooms hear all the noises from above. Toilet in our room was like sitting on the ground. Staff was efficient but not overly friendly. Very UN-Best Western 72 hour cancellation policy. Indoor pool claims to be heated......but. Breakfast has a nice selection but the quality of items could be better. VERY small breakfast room. Wondering how long BW will keep this as one of their properties. If I could have, I would given this property a 3 minus on the scale. C.......C minus.

The room was very basic but the location was perfect and the rate was reasonable. The breakfast was very good as was the wi-fi. The TV picture was poor quality on a flat panel HDTV. It was clean and the bed was comfortable.

We booked the hotel months before, we arrived at 4pm. When we got to the hotel and asked for a quiet room, they gave us a room ten feet from the lobby and three feet from the ice and vending machine. The room was stinking from cheetos snacs and the chairs were broken and glued up.we complain that we can't stay in that particular noisy and smelly room, the guy. In the reception was rude and told us that we are the only one with problems like that. He refused to let us talk to menager. After we got angry and refused to accept that room another guy came and canceled our reservation.we ended up in hampton inn littleton and for almost the same price got a giant clean and quite suit. Don't get near that hotel

A wonderful place to stay when hiking in the White Mountains. The hot tub is soothing for sore muscles and boasts an incredible view. Ask for a mountain view room. Clean, comfortable and relaxing. The front desk staff are friendly, professional, and helpful in answering questions and making suggestions. I ran into our housekeeper as I was going to breakfast and returned to find our room already made up!

Stayed here on our way to the cape. Good stop over location for the night. Rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. Close enough when you exit the highway. Nice front desk staff. Did not try the breakfast.

Spent the night on our travels through Vermont and New Hampshire. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was great. Indoor pool with hot tub. They are working on putting a elevator in the building. Very comfortable beds.

Place was clean and staff very friendly. The pool and hot tube need was updating but they both work as plan. The view out our window was phenomenal just get the backside of the hotel our your looking at the parking instead.

This hotel is most conveniently situated to allow exploring the White Mountain National Forest. Its low-lying architecture with cheerful red roofs fits nicely with the surrounding environment, and the interior is surprisingly clean, pleasant, comfortable, and pleasing. Even with a busy crowd of visiting patrons, the staff was extraordinarily attentive, thoughtful and cheerful -- in particular the young man behind the counter, and the lovely young woman who set up the breakfast foodstuff each morning, as well as the older couple that cleaned our room each day. Our four-night stay here was perfectly jolly.

Nice hotel with friendly staff. Close to a lot of local attractions with easy access from a main highway. Nice view of the mountains from the front of the hotel. Breakfast is OK, could use a few more items to choose from, but that is just my opinion. ENJOY.

Located a short drive from Mount Washington, this Best Western was satisfactory for a one-night stay. Though basic and small, the hotel provided standard amenities, including complimentary breakfast (with hot and cold items), an indoor swimming pool and hot tub, and a small workout room. The hotel is easily accessible from the interstate and Franconia town was just a few minutes away via car. Parking was ample. The room was small but comfortable enough for two people. The in-room refrigerator and microwave were convenient.

The staff at the White Mountain Inn was so helpful and friendly. The person at the front desk was going out of his way for a traveler that did not have reservations to help the couple find a place to stay because this Inn was full. That was so nice of him to do this for this senior couple. The breakfast that they offered was more than we expected and the entire place was clean and cheerful. The pool and the Hot Tub were clean and beautiful. We would definitely stay here again.

I day hiked with a friend on a Monday. We decided to stay overnight and hike more the next day. Best Western had the best price on expedia so we drove there. They had a room for us. It was clean and comfortable. The hot tub was great after our hike. The breakfast in the morning was great. We saw a black bear near the dumpster on the property which was really cool (we were in the car).

Due to a medical condition I was using a cane...the young lady at the check in desk saw this and offered to move us to the first floor...this was much appreciated! The people who worked there seemed friendly, respectful, and polite. We will recommend this hotel to our friends who are traveling in the Franconia area.

Great place rooms are clean and comfortable . They have free breakfast bar and it's really well done. The interior pool is great and the hot tub perfect after a day of hiking at mount Lafayette . Only thing the town around it is quiet so if you wanna go out for late diner get ready earlier as a lot of restaurant are closed by 9 pm

My sister and I recently spent two nights at the Best Western White Mountain Inn. The inn was easily accessed from the highway, nestled in a lovely setting. The room was very clean and comfortable with updated furnishings and a good-sized refrigerator. The staff was efficient and courteous and supplied a wealth of information concerning the sights of the area. The complimentary breakfast had a variety of options from which to choose, and provided outstanding coffee.

The room was a nice size. We had a fridge and microwave which were really nice. The room had a good number of outlets for plugging in electronics. Though, our bed was REALLY squeaky. Every time you moved it squeaked, which made for a very bad nights sleep for both of us. The bathroom was average, but it had good water pressure. It also got hot water very quickly. Their webpage did not mention that they were doing renovations when booking. It would've been nice to know. They also do not mention that they do not have an elevator. In the rooms, it would be nice to have a packet with information about the hotel (breakfast and pool times, as well as map/location of pool and fitness). It would also be helpful to have a list of local dining/attractions to review. The majority of dining options are several exits away the freeway. We saw the fitness center, but did not use it. It was rather small, dark and old looking. They have a hot breakfast with eggs, bacon/sausage. They have two waffle irons, and it was nice that they also had two different flavors of batter. They have the standard pastries, breads, bagels and instant oatmeal. The OJ was not really OJ. It was more like water with an orange flavor. Very bad. I would be concerned about security also, since we left our "Do Not Disturb" sign on our door and found housekeeping had let themselves into the room anyway. It was rather unnerving, since we had left our laptop and things out, since we did not expect anyone to go in our room. (We have never had this happen before in all our years of travel.) Very disappointing.

There is no elevator. Our room was on the second floor with no one to help with luggage. Near necessary highways but very little else nearby. Level of breakfast choices poor.Nobody to assist. Bus your own tables. This is a minimalist hotel and not so cheap for what it had to offer.

Room was good. Clean well appointed. No issues, other than the building of the elevator. Stayed two nights and did not know our room was opposite of where they are building an elevator shaft. Yes they only worked from 10 - 5, but when we wanted to take a break from our touring, stayed only about 5 minutes because of the noisy. Would have been nice to know ahead of time.

I always stay at this hotel when I want to stay in the White Mountains. I camp for a few nights then stay in a hotel for 1-2 nights to relax. It has always been a nice stay every time I've stayed. The pool and Jacuzzi are great and breakfast is good too. I will be back next year!

We stayed here for a few days in the second week of August 2016. Our stay was very comfortable with a good breakfast spread and clean rooms/ linens. The hotel is located just off I-93, minutes away from Franconia Notch State Park, Echo lake, Flume gorge etc.

Stopped at this hotel on our way home from Maine. The staff was friendly and helpful. Room was nice and appeared to be recently updated. We used the pool and hot tub, although the hot tub was rather small. Good value for the price.

Forgeting lights on my motorcycle for all night Zina and his father helped me and gave me more than owner service in next morning and gave me chance to go to see Washington Mount as wanted. Really good guys and exceptional service from them. Just for that I'll recommend and go again to this hotel. Many thanks again for behavior...

Great place to stay when visiting the Mount Washington Cog Railroad! The hotel was a bit more expensive but the room was clean and the complimentary breakfast was nice. I would stay here again if traveling in the area.

It was just basic. No friendly service, the rooms were not clean, but it's what I expected from best western. The pool was very scary looking and we did not go in. The breakfast was not fresh at all. Didn't bother touching it. We just stayed here for one night on the way to our destination. Would not return.

Nothing fancy here except the breakfast. This hotel appeared to be getting some well needed renovations. The location is not the best as there is nothing in immediate area. The rooms were pretty basic compared to other hotels.

My wife and I only stayed here one night but everyone was very friendly and treated us very politely. The room was very clean and neat and the bed was great. Breakfast in the morning more than I expected and very, very enjoyable.

This hotel is located in franconia white mountains. Pefect if you have a car and want to discover different places in the white mountains. There are a lot of spots within a 15 minutes drive reachable. The rooms and hotel were clean and the beds were good. We had a good night sleep. Breakfast was good enough for us.

We tend to like Best Westerns but this unit just wasn't quite up to snuff. Actually the room was fine, large enough, clean and neat, beds were good and plenty of handy outlets for electronics. The issues had to do with remodeling that made it difficult to get our luggage to the room, the sounds of every move made by the people in the room above us late into the night and early in the morning and an undersized and under equipped breakfast area. Handicapped parking was also not convenient to the entry or the rooms. In addition all of the decent dining establishments were two exits away on the interstate highway.

Last minute overnight-er , its right off the main highway and I have no complaints about the price or room. There was a big dumpster that look like an eye sore, next to the in door pool, but other than that it was great.

On Sun July 3 rd we drove up to Northern New England on our way to Maine.We found the Best Western White Mtn INN a good stop for an overnight stay and a great place to Stay and even better it's pet friendly,allowing us to bring our four legged family member making it an even better vac. for all.From check in to the hot breakfast the next AM everything about our stay was great.Easy off and on the Interstate with great views. it was a good choice all around.We will good back there the next time we travel to Northern New England.

The owners of this hotel were always present and they were friendly but a little shy, the overall hotel was welcoming and the breakfast was a welcome amenity and selection was sufficient. The lobby was a little over sized and could use a little more décor.

This hotel was great, and very close to the wedding we were attending. Our room was neat and clean. The bed was comfortable with lots of pillows and the bathroom was nice and clean. We had a great view of the mountains which was a nice bonus Breakfast included hot and cold food items like waffles, bacon, scrambled eggs, yogurts, breads, oatmeal, and fresh fruits. The staff was very polite and the front desk staff was courteous and helpful. The staff went above and beyond to help me out when my husband left his suit in the room by having it over nighted to us.

We stayed here 2 nights, was pleasantry surprised. Booked off Go Seek several months earlier for $80 night King bed. The views any where in that area are beautiful , but they have 2 areas to sit outside an enjoy the fabulous views. Room spotless , an breakfast was way above average. Rooms all updated , an beautiful. Excepts dogs for a fee , an that is hard to find in the area. When we opened door to go into room , my husband said , NICE ROOM! He enjoyed Jacuzzi one evening after day hiking. Said pool to cold for him.

Where do I begin .. I expected a whole lot more from this hotel . It was one of the more expensive hotels I've stayed in . The lobby was very plain. The rooms were well a room. The smell annoyed me, I'm not sure how to describe it. The bathroom was very outdated, rust in a spot, def needed an upgrade. The hot tub was like the outdoor kind but inside. I tried to use it and the water was nasty. I couldn't even use the hot tub. The first floor smelled like smoke. I will never stay there again. I'm not sure I dare eat the continental breakfast. When I confronted the front desk man, he stared blankly at me, and said "what do you want me to do" Stay somewhere else.

This facility is beautiful and probably the nicest Best Western I've ever experienced. Everything was lovely and they even had a self-service, coffee machine so you could make your own brew 24/7. I was slightly disappointed by the lack of a restaurant on the premises but this was off-season so I can understand it being closed. It was there, but just not open. Although we were a little early for normal check-in, "Kristy" at the front desk found a room for us and she was also helpful in suggesting local eateries within walking distance. Thanks Kristy!

When I entered the lobby, I was immediately met with an overwhelming musty smell. The lobby lacked any character and was in desperate need of updating. I originally asked for a higher floor but was quickly dissuaded when I was I told there was no elevator. The room was a good size but the bathroom was small. It was comfortable but lacked any luxury. I thought the breakfast offered a nice selection and I appreciated the flavored syrups for the coffee.

I was a little hesitant as we were walking thru the hotel to our room that it was going to be noisy.(nothing against dogs but we had heard several barking as we were in the hallway.) But much to our surprise is was perfectly quiet .This hotel was great, and very close to the wedding we were attending. Our room was neat and clean. The bed was comfortable with lots of pillows and the bathroom was nice and clean. This was a last minute booking and the only available room in that location. Room has two queen beds which is good when you travel with a kid. Bed was too springy . Room was clean and had everything to make a descent stay. They provide breakfast as well. There is an old iron furnace- I think the only remaining one in NH- next to the hotel. It is situated on the bank of a river.There are walkways leading to the beach . Overall the stay was ok.

This hotel was clean, the room was nice, the pool area was clean, and the breakfast was wonderful. Great price. Only two small complaints: the pool water was quite cold, even for my kids, who love pool water at any temperature. Second, there was no elevator and we were told we could not transfer to a first floor room. With two small children- a baby and a toddler- plus a week's worth of luggage and road trip essentials, it was anything but easy to get up and down the stairs. I wish we could have been better accommodated or warned about the lack of an elevator.

Great ratio quality-price, staff members very diligent and helpful! Pool could be warmer and the big dumpster blocking the view of the mountains should be moved away although it could be temporary as the hotel was under renovation... Would recommend it to anyone visiting the White Mountains!

There are not a lot of places to stay in Franconia. We chose the Best Western and were pleased with the result. The hotel seems new. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and spacious. The free breakfast was what one expects from Best Western. We would stay here again.

We recently attended a wedding at the Mount Washington Inn. Even though rooms at the Inn were blocked off for family with "discounted rates", the price was ridiculous. I was pleased to find a Best Western about 1/2 hour away at an affordable price. And I was given a senior discount to boot even though I am only 58! Very convenient to get to off of Route 93. We hopped on Rt. 302 and were at the Inn in no time. The hotel itself was so-so. Cleanliness was lacking as evidenced by a clogged sink, filmy tub and rugs that need a good vacuum. It was bearable though as we were only there for about 10 hours. Staff was friendly and helpful. Very accommodating too as they allowed us to check in early. I was pleased to have paid 150 per night at Best Western rather than the "discounted" Inn rate of 360!

This hotel is great: quiet, clean, with the bells and whistles if you want them. The hotel is close to the interstate, close to Littleton, and close to ski slopes too. Our room was spotless and well-appointed. The bed was super comfortable with plenty of pillows and sheets that felt, looked, and smelled clean. The bathroom was immaculate, the towels were thick, soft, and absorbent. Everything worked beautifully too. We had a lovely view on mountains, and appreciated that we could open the window at night for cool, refreshing mountain air. Breakfast choices included hot and cold food items like waffles, meat, eggs, yogurts, breads, oatmeal, and fruits. The front desk staff was helpful and polite, both at check-in and when we left. If we find ourselves here again, we will definitely stay at this hotel again.

Me and my husband made a spur of the moment trip to New Hampshire and landed in Franconia. We stayed here and had a fabulous time. Since we had been driving all night and hadn't seen the mountains at midnight, when we went to the breakfast room, I gasped at the gorgeous view. The breakfast was delicious with eggs and sausage. The room was amazing. Clean, beautiful, up to date. I was so happy there! Planning to go there again which is why I am on here tonight finding this hotel again.

We stayed here after a trip to Quebec City and found the mountainous location pleasant and charming albeit a bit deserted for late June. (Many of the area restaurants were closed.) Hotel exterior itself was large and attractive and the large, six feet deep pool was refreshing for my family and me. Water was quite cool! Aside from being placed on the ground floor near the ice machine and the noisy elevator repairs that awakened us in the morning, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel. Price is reasonable for the value, and the full buffet breakfast is a welcome touch.

Very well situated in Franconia, in the midst of the white mountains national forest, and a reasonable distance from Mt Washington, North Conway and their outlets. Amenities and breakfast were very good and items well presented. The only drawback is the lack of good restaurants in town; we had to go to neighboring Littleton, very nice little town about 5 miles away.

The hotel room and facilities were very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Room had quick access to go outside so it was easy for pets. i would stay here again. My kids loved the pool and the fact that its open until 10pm.

Stayed here for two nights. Very clean well kept older hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. Check in quick and efficient. Small fitness centre with adjacent small indoor pool and hot tub. Enjoyed the beautiful view of the mountains while in the pool. Breakfast was satisfactory with hot iitems such as scrambled eggs,home fries etc.along with muffins, bagels and bread assorted cereals, yoghurt. The area has many attractions but it was still off season when we were there. If I were to visit again I would stay at this hotel.

We stayed at the Best Western to see the Lupines. We were excited for a long time about this trip. We were pleased with the room. The Best western was clean, quiet. The building looked very well taken care of. Also, certain rooms allow dogs, so you can include Fido on your trip!!

An older Best Western property, it is situated in a glorious setting with mountains all around it. The lupins were in bloom when we arrived in late May which added to the setting. The reception desk staff, and those on site, were friendly, efficient and accommodating. A real bonus was the the outdoor patio----a splendid spot place to sit in the sunshine and enjoy a deli lunch from the local market. The large indoor pool offered spectacular views of the nearby mountains. And, the little fitness room was open early. Our room was large and clean with easy access to parking at the back of the property. The small lounge (with free coffee and hot chocolate) was great for watching the ball game in the evening with our friends. The breakfast fare was just okay. The usual "free breakfast" stuff. Would book there again. Good value.

Overall the hotel was a nice place to stay at. The rooms were clean and they had a decent breakfast. The breakfast was the same for the 4 nights we stayed. For the most part the hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The 24 hour free coffee was a nice perk and was very good. The view from the hot tub is excellent.

Nice looking interior with very friendly and helpful staff. I left very early so did not partake of the included hot breakfast that has been upgraded from the normal. Coffee available 24/7 with a machine in the lobby that made good coffee. The only issue was the dark brown carpet in the room does not show how dirty it was, which I found out when I stepped into the shower and saw the dirty water off my feet.

The room was pretty nice, only missing an extra comfortable chair. The bed was really comfortable and I'm the goldie locks of beds so that's really saying a lot, although it did creak as did the floor.. There should have been an extra pillow ( non pillowcased ), the kleenex box had 2 tissues in it,so I brought my own in from the car. The remote controls are "clean" but one button was very obviously broken, you could move the channels one way but not another, something that can be dealt with. I brought my husband a cup of apple juice from the breakfast room to take his pills. He was adamant that I put this in the review, the juice was very watered down, so no thank you on the rest of the breakfast. We have stayed in 4 other Best Western's durning this vacation, these towels were really so much rougher than the others. The staff is very helpful and polite, the hotel is quite large, we got a ground floor room and the floors creaked as there was a rec room underneath. Parking is nice and the hotel is quiet if your neighbors are.

Very friendly and helpful staff, decent breakfast, clean, comfortable room with spacious bathroom, fast internet, beautiful scenery and close to attractions, right off Rt93, great little restaurant within walking distance (Dutch Treat), my only complaint about all BW hotels is they do not have their own restaurant/bar so you have to travel to eat/have a drink.

Hotel was very clean and employees were friendly. Good service, even after hours service staff brought extra sheets when called. Breakfast buffet was surprisingly good - I was expecting stale bagels but got cooked sausages, bacon and various other fresh breakfast foods.

The hotel was nice, we enjoyed the pool. Breakfast there was helpful. It served it's purpose. We were close to the event we were attending that weekend. wish I didn't have to type a minimum of 200 characters for this review.

the Hotel was larger than expected, very clean and staff was friendly, great value. lot's of upgrades in room and bathroom and shower were renovated and modern, Breakfast was good, staff was very friendly and willing to help. The pool area was clean with chairs and tables.

Beautiful location with easy access to the highway. The staff, especially Kristy at the front desk was wonderful! She was very knowledgeable about the area and provided excellent customer service. Beautiful location with gorgeous views of Canon Mountain, Mount Liberty, Lincoln, and Lafayette. EXCELLENT, clean facility that is well maintained with a helpful, friendly staff. This location has become my second home in New Hampshire. I highly recommend this location.

The employees are nice, the room are well above acceptable for what you will find in the white mountains. My kids love the pool and the breakfast that is included is really a good value. There was plenty of parking and the mngt does a good job.

We chose this Best Western because it is close to Cannon Mountain. It is very convenient to get to from the highway. The front side of hotel has a mountain view. The back side overlooks the parking lot; which is really no big deal to us as we've been there several times. We were visiting Franconia to watch our granddaughters ski. They enjoyed sleeping in the big King Bed with Nanny and Cap, as well as the pool ! We all enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place to stay in the area.

The hotel was clean and most of the staff was helpful. However, the breakfast was second or third rate, and the employee by the breakfast room did not speak English and was not at all friendly. If not for her, I would have been very happy with my stay! The front desk clerk gave me a first floor room as I requested, which was good!

The staff is extremely polite, welcoming and helpful to make our stay even better by making sure our King size room would be ready a few hours early for our last-minute change in arrival. The housekeeper was great checking every morning if there were anything that she could do to make our stay better. I've had the best experience of all my life. Rate was very reasonable. I got the AAA rate, which brought the cost to the same or less than other chains in the area. The room was fabulous, nice and clean, the decoration were attractive. It had it all we needed. It was nicely furnished with a beautiful view of mountain. Big parking lot. Very large and clean pool and hot tub. Public bathroom had a nice fresh smell and super clean. There is also free high speed internet and local calls. The free breakfast was more than adequate. Delicious hot cocoa was available for us after along day of ski.

Very nice hotel. Very friendly staff. Just off highway (convenient) but no traffic noise. Nice amenities and great value - e.g., pool, hot tub, free high speed internet, free and plentiful breakfast, small workout room, clean comfy rooms with mini fridge and microwave. We stayed in a room with 2 queens; family of 4. I would definitely stay here again.

Great location right off the highway. Only a few miles from Franconia Notch state park and Canon Mt. Great full breakfast. Convenient parking. Large pool and hot tub. Staff very friendly. Beautiful view from room.

We've stayed here several times when we've been in the area for skiing. The staff is always very pleasant and helpful. They sell discounted lift tickets to the local ski areas. Great breakfast! The pool is nice, although a bit chilly, however the kids don't mind.

I was completely disgusted, saw a bug crawling around and picked it up to inspect it and was shocked when it was an actual bed bug. I like to look around at every hotel I stay at to make sure there aren't any bed bugs because they are extremely hard to get rid of and hotels are breeding grounds for them. After looking around some more we found another one and we bolted for the front desk. Put the bug in a cup and showed them and the man at the desk said he was fairly new and did not if they've ever had a problem with them. After speaking to the manager they gave us no problem and fully refunded us. This confirms my suspicion that they have had problems with bed bugs in the past. The couple we went with staying in a different room didn't want to stay there either so they got refunded but they hotel would not give them a refund unless they agreed to sign something that said they would not write about this on the internet/social media. I will never be going back to this hotel, room 120 definitely has bed bugs and who knows where else they have spread to. Hopefully the get the right exterminator. TRAVELER BEWARE!

We arrived late after a grueling drive through a snow storm. Staff helped us get bags to the room and check in quickly. Breakfast was good and plentiful. We appreciated the clean and comfortable room and service.

We had a great experience with staff they were friendly and helpful. We were really pleased with the quality of the hotel for the price. My daughter really enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Rooms were very clean.

Stayed here for one night and was very disappointed with the condition of the hotel. Room was dirty and it did not looked like it had been cleaned in days. Sheets and towels were like sandpaper, water pressure in the shower was terrible, and the toilet did not flush properly. We tried to go in the pool but it was way too cold. Very disappointed overall.

Not a bad hotel, although the pool and fitness center weren't the best. Overall Hotel had comfortable beds and accomodations. I would stay here again if in the area, but would also look for other locations.

The staff was very friendly, rooms were clean and comfortable. Only complaint was that the hot tub was gross. Water looked brown and when you put your hand in you could feel the slime. My guess is this is due to the rude parents who let their children in we even saw a few toddlers go in with diaper. We would never let our children in as for one it's not healthy and two should be for adults to enjoy.

I have stayed at this hotel before, but this was the first time I saw cockroaches in my hotel room. The bed sheets were also dirty. Do not stay here. The breakfast was also sub par, and the quality of service has declined. The place needs an exterminator.

Pretty good stay, the room was clean and the beds were comfy. When we got into the room the heater was blasting and it was really hot in the room, so the heater works! The bathroom was ok, not a lot too it and the sink was a little small. There is no elevator but only two floors so not too many stairs to go up. Breakfast was a lot better than I expected inclusive of Belgium Waffles, bacon, sausage, eggs and all sorts of parties and breads. The coffee had four different flavor syrups!! Not much around the hotel but it's right off the highway so you can easily get to the ski resorts, state parks and attractions within 15-20 minutes.

Good value for a decent hotel. It was a nice chain in the white mountains where there are not many option. Good free breakfast, helpful front desk and good value. Also a pool. For a brand name hotel, this is a good deal at a fair price.

The two workers at the front desk were very helpful when we asked where to hike in the local area. They gave us directions to some beautiful hikes. The rooms were worth the price and we had fast wifi. The breakfast was good, warm eggs and bacon which was a delightful surprise.

this hotel was located directly off Exit 38 on Rt 93 N in N.H. Rooms were great and breakfast was included. Its a perfect location ! The only problem we had was that the jets on the Jacuzzi were not working. I would recommend it. Its 20 minutes from Lincoln/Woodstock area of N.H

We stayed here for one night so we can do some hiking and visit area attractions for the weekend. Only minutes north of Franconia Notch and easy to find right off the exit it was a great location. The hotel appeared very clean and well kept. The room was small but considering we camp all summer the three of us has plenty of room. I loved that the room had a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Only complaint regarding the rooms is the walls are very thin and our neighbors TV was on the same wall as our beds so we could hear everything they were watching. Bring ear plugs. The pool was nice, could have been a bit warmer but the fact they had a pool was awesome. The hot tub too was colder than expected and some of the jets appeared broken but again, appreciated that the hotel had it. Breakfast was nice. Waffles, eggs, bacon, sausage, pasties and cereal. The breakfast room was small and cramped. All in all it was a great place to spend a night. We will book again.

recently stayed here, while its a little outdated it was still relatively clean and the staff was friendly. were on the second floor and the veiw was actually really beautiful so id ask to face mountains and be on second floor. we were the only people staying there i think besides one other couple so it was very quiet. really close to all the activities up there, stayed here to go to the ice castles, was about a 20 minute drive to lincoln and you have littleton about 10 minutes north. very satisfied for the price!

Decent value in Northern NH. Room was clean and modern, on the smaller side. Indoor Pool was large and in good condition. Breakfast Buffet was what you would expect-nothing special but well stocked. Great discount on lift tickets to Bretton Woods. Staff was friendly. Ask for a second floor room. Walls were well soundproofed but not the ceiling, heard every movement made in the room upstairs. Would recommend if price is right, and top floor room can be obtained.

1st Stay- * Room with heater broken during a winter ski stay & was almost warmer outdoors ,No extra rooms to stay in & too late to locate to another hotel after long day of skiing & dinner. Very cold room and did get a portable heater after we were in bed at midnight. 2nd and Last stay Upon arrival: ** hairs in bed- not acceptable, room was intoxicated with fresh toxic paint on front door of room- think you would paint in the summer with open windows, * Cold shower- apparently No hot water due broken pipe, too much chlorine in pool to burn eyes ,day before was closed. Friendly staff, manager not available to make decisions & to make any compensation for stay.

Nice folks made us feel welcome. The hotel is clean and new. Franconia is a small town-- just one blinking yellow light in town. But it is close to all the ski areas. The hotel was filled with families enjoying a clean and comfortable stay. The pool is very big, but the jacuzzi is small.

The staff--front desk was great. Accommodating and friendly. The best part was the dog friendly room. Awesome trail for walks out back was great too. Breakfast was good with various hot and cold choices. Would definitely stay here again.

I really liked this hotel. Especially after staying at some not so great hotels on my road trip. The beds were super comfortable, the staff friendly and attentive, and there was an excellent hot breakfast! I love those waffle makers.

This is a fairly typical Best Western. I know I'm going to be in a comfortable room and that there will be breakfast food. The breakfast here was a bit better than most Best Westerns I've been at. It was very busy and the family that owns this Inn did a great job of keeping food supplied. The best part of this stay was that we were here for the lunar eclipse and many of the guests came out to view it. The young man working the front desk was willing to turn off the outside lights to make viewing the eclipse even better. There were a lot of Europeans and Israelis staying here and if felt "continental". We stayed here two nights while we toured the White Mountains. I'd stay here again. This is not a place to stay for a romantic get away, or a deluxe experience. This is more a place for a budget traveler who wants a reliably clean and friendly place to stay.

... if you wish to exfoliate. Rough! Kids only in the hot tub, it seems. There were about 8 of them at one time every night we were here. I guess there's not much else to do in the winter when it fails to snow. The hubby could have used a soak, but it would have been creepy if he had gotten in with that many kids. He made do with a soak in the tub. The rooms and breakfast are adequate. We stayed in a pet friendly room which was conveniently located near an exit door.

From the street Hotel looks new and well maintained. Once inside you can see where the hotel has become run down. The doors were held together with dozens of screws around the edges, doors did not close behind you and if you were not careful you could leave without the door locking. TV's were not clear and rooms were not cleaned well. Breakfast was below average and kitchen staff was overheard telling folks cleaning up to save old eggs and mix with new ones the next day.

Took the grandkids to Santa's Village and stayed here for two nights. The pool was a lot of fun and the room was very clean. The breakfast was 100% we had a great stay and will not hesitate to do it again next year.

Pool water was cold; and hot tub was dirty. Although they "changed the water" when I complained ... they didn't "clean" it. In addition, the room bathtub was not clean. I commend the staff for trying to make things right, however, this was the one reason we chose the hotel for the pool and hot tub since it was Thanksgiving and nothing else in the area was open, with very little else to do. I was very disappointed as was our son.

Was extremely disappointed with room asked for pet friendly and the carpet fresh was over-bearing to the point of discomfort. Mentioned to staff and they had absolutely no response whatsoever, The decor in the room was horrific old outdated and did not go together so disappointed

Beautiful, quiet, expansive property. The room was small. The queen bed was a bit uncomfortable, leaning towards the center. Upon arrival, difficult to understand receptionist. Breakfast was okay, nothing fancy: scrambled eggs (reconstituted? no yolks?), yogurt, fruit cups, waffles, sausage patties, cold cereals, assorted breads and pastries, coffee and tea. Breakfast area not that cheerful and small.

4.5 out of 5 (5 being the best). All was very good to excellent, but the walls were thin. If the next-door guest is loud, you hear the conversation, coughing, and/or snoring. Nevertheless, the breaskfast, hotel staff, and amenities were well desig ned and well organized.

I work in the hotel industry, so one of the first things I do is inspect the room. Check to see how clean everything is. At a quick glance everything looks okay. But then when you start checking the lamps, headboards and bathroom you find things that are rather disgusting. The picture of dust on my finger was of one part of the lamp. I ended up dusting the WHOLE room with a washcloth. The floor was not vacuumed well. And the bathroom shower still had soap scum and left over soap from previous guest on the shower walls. There was some mystery stain on one of the comforters. Luckily we had two beds to choose from. I did like the two extra spare blankets in the room. We paid $100 bucks a night and would have gladly paid more for something that was clean. Also be ware the doors to the rooms SLAM shut and are extremely loud. I was woken up multiple times from that. Also the best are extremely hard to anyone looking for a good night sleep, avoid at all cost!!! I got maybe 5 hours and ended up having an asthma attack. The hot tub and swimming pool were a joke. Pool was FREEZING. And the hot tub had NO jets. It feels like something is crawling on you where the jets should be. It was hot though. Staff was okay. Upon check out was never asked about our stay or anything. Breakfast was okay. Avoid the egg they are very gross and slimy. Waffle maker was nice since that was pretty much all we ate. Everything else was mediocre or stale. I would not stay here again or recommend to others. The rooms did have a microwave and fridge however fridge was not cold when we got there we had to turn it on ourself so it wasn't cold for hours. We didn't really shop around for hotels or read reviews because it was a spur of the moment trip, nor did we have e a reservation but boy do I regret that now. Stayed 10/30/15 in a room with two queens. Location was okay. 20 mins from Lisbon, 10 from Littleton. 1hr 30mins from JOHNSON VT.

Excellent value for the dollar. Very nice hotel in the White mountain area. I have stayed here before and I was impressed with the quality of the recent remodel. Close to the Lincoln area attractions, but, just far enough away to be insulated from all the tourist traffic.

The Best Western White Mountain Inn in Franconia, NH is a beautiful place to stay for a visit to this spectacular part of the country. The mountain view rooms look out on the valley and toward the west. With the foggy morning, it was truly a special view. The facilities are clean and conveniently organized. We found the location very functional for our morning trip up Mt. Washington on the Cog Railroad system. We could have had more time there and this BW was very convenient to other sites to enjoy.

Room was clean on the surface, but very dirty with lint and dust behind bed table and under bed. The room air conditioner sounded like a compressor was going bad. It made rumbling noise all night. One of the lights above the bathroom sink was making arcing / sparking noise continuously while switch was on. The orange juice tasted like it was highly watered down. Not very appetizing.

Stopped here overnight while visiting Mount Washington Cog Railroad. Hotel had a cold, odd vibe to it. Room was fine but hotel didn't have an elevator. We had to drag our luggage up a huge "Brady bunch" staircase. Breakfast was awful. Eggs tasted off and juice was watered down.

Fitness room was clean and all the equipment where in excellent condition. Very good break fast it was the best one i had at best western Eggs,sausages,bacon lots to verity of choice. Pool was heated and clean well maintained water was very clear. Rooms where very clean housekeeping does outstanding job. Front desk staff, Break fast person,Housekeeping every one had smile on their face. I will definitely come back to this best western.

This summer, my family and I took a trip to New Hampshire to go to Santa's Village and Storyland. I like the Best Western brand and I know what I am getting. Travelling with young children, I needed to think budget, but also value and convenience, yet comfort as well. This is why I chose this hotel. The price was right, it had a breakfast included along with an indoor pool. It was about 40 km away from the attractions we wanted to see, but the drive was beautiful. The hotel is situated in the mountains, a beautiful area of New Hamphsire. The staff was friendly, and acccess to the hotel was easy, right next to the hwy. The hotel from the outside looks great, the inside however you could tell it was a bit dated. We got a 2 queen bedroom, plus a crib for our smallest child. The room was adequate, but maybe a bit cramped for us, but for our needs, did just fine. The bathroom, however needed to be better upgraded. It was showing its age, and I almost asked for a different room. You could tell that they did not take very good care of it, but with the amount of time we spent there, it was not worth the hassle to ask for another room, it was borderline. The pool was fine, my kids enjoyed it in the evening. The breakfast was good, and there was something for the adults and the kids. The only drawback was that the breakfast room itself was a bit small. One nice thing was the you could buy your Storyland or Santa's Village passes at the hotel in advance for a bit of a discount. Taking everything into consideration, the hotle was fine for what we needed it for in a prime location.

Ideal place to stay as a base to visit the surrounding areas. Stayed here to visit the upper White Mountains and the areas to the west. Great leave viewing and many attractions to see in this area. Several nice local restaurants in the immediate area to try. Nice little market in town for what you need.

All was good the room interior decor is somewhat dated and could use an overhaul. Bathrooms are small and could use updating as well. But as far as location it was spot on for what we wanted. View and small town atmosphere.

This BW hotel is on a huge property of its own, more like a grand hotel. The surrounding is very clean and peaceful. Very convenient to access - right off highway 93. Room is decent, matress is way too soft.

The staff were very welcoming and helpful the room was a good size and comfortable, the breakfast was sufficient it could have been a bit better having a microwave and fridge in the room is a great help. I would definitely stay again although having an elevator would be a huge advantage. The WiFi wasn't working all weekend.

Great place to stay. They take pets. Staff is very helpful, rooms are clean and updated. They also have a pool and serve continental l breakfast. Will stay again. Been staying their on and off for about 10 years. Hotel is right off the highway. It is a little out of the way but then you don't have to deal with the traffic in Woodstock and Lincoln.

The rooms at the hotel are about what you would expect for an older Best Western. The room was clean, small, a bit dark even though I had a large window. There is a refrigerator and a microwave. It is conveniently located right off the freeway. There is a grocery store very close. The small town of Franconia is cute and close to other small towns and of course the White Mountains. If you are just staying a night or two and don't need more then the very basics, it is adequate.

Paid over $225/night for a 2 queen bedroom on the second floor/no elevator. The breakfast was substandard at best. The only positive was it was fairly close to Flume Gorge area. I would not recommend this hotel.

Very disappointed with our 3 day stay at this hotel. Very much let down by the management, who obviously employ minimum staff who do not have time to do their jobs properly. Expecting one reception staff in the morning to check-out, answer the phone AND replenish the breakfast bar will not work! We have seen more staff at a BW which is a lot smaller than this one and we missed the uniforms, (Jeans and T shirts at this one). Oh, one last thing the orange juice was awful! (cheap or watered down).

I am not one to stay in the big tourist towns. I like to stay away from the crowds. The room was quiet, clean and well furnished. The hot breakfast included was great... Lots of variety. Loved the waffles., very light and crspy.I ate one every day!

This looks like a very nice hotel from the outside, conveniently located but there is no elevator to the second floor rooms! The staff were polite but not particularly friendly and seemed too busy even though it was certainly not busy when we checked in.

Adequate. But it was obvious that everything was done on the cheap. Squeaky floors, same old same old for breakfast every day, watery fruit juices. Overcrowded furniture in the lobby, NO Elevator so it was hard to get luggage beyond the 1st floor. However staff was friendly and helpful.

Lovely property, right off the Interstate. Convenient to White Mountains and Littleton at a reasonable rate. Check in was a snap THANKS to Kristi who upgraded our room to a beautiful mountain view on the 2nd floor. Breakfast and coffee were adequate and well stocked. Why a 4 rating? There is no elevator, room a little small, and shower did not get hot enough.

This venue is breathtaking and would probably be so at any time of the year. The only negative is no elevator so if you have heavy luggage (as we did for a two-week trip), you have to lug it by yourself unless the staff is willing to carry it for you, which he did on the evening we checked in. We had to carry our luggage out in the morning.

We drove up from Philadelphia to visit Mount Washington and found this to be a good location for an overnight before taking the Cog Railroad to the mountain top. The hotel is a little old but has many updates. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. They have a free breakfast but the dining area is a little small for the size of the hotel. Overall I would stay here again if in the area.
