Best Western Fort Lauderdale Airport/Cruise Port

We arrived on September 23rd, after being in an airport all day. We were truly exhausted. The driver Paul was a very nice man. He went out of his way to help people he didn't "have" to help. The rooms were clean. However we had what seemed to be intoxicated neighbors or just very loud! We contacted the front desk I believe between 12 to 12:30 in the morning. We informed them that the room next to us was trying to get into our room by yanking and banging on the adjoining door. We also did not know what the noise was, baby screaming or some other person. We were told that can't be there is only one person there. The noise continued louder with what we realised was no baby but a male and female. Screaming, TV blaring and they were having a wild party. Then the sex began. At around 3:30 my husband called back to the front desk. The same gentleman said he would have to come up and investigate. He knocked on our door and told us, there is no noise next door and no baby. We were imagining. We must be crazy! We told him that there may not be a baby but they were very loud and it's the middle of the night and we just need sleep! The next day my husband spoke with the front desk clerk and explained everything to her, especially regarding how a hotel employee was rude to us and called us crazy! We slept 2 hours that night! She told us we could get a complimentary night stay. We informed her that wasn't possible. So, she said we could get a refund in 5 to 7 business days. She did say the manager was gone for a week. We continued onto our next destination and the funds never appeared back in our bank. When we arrived at the airport in Florida, I called and was told the Mgr was in a meeting and would call me back in an hour. 2 hours went by and no call. So, we called back, this time he was at lunch. The third time 5 hours later I called back and the front desk clerk asked why I needed to speak to the Mgr. I said well he was supposed to call me back hours ago, I'm sure he knows! She put me through to him. He said his employee never put down anyone trying to get into our room and that the first time the complaint came in was 9:30 and no one was in the adjoining room. That is untrue as we had just arrived at the hotel at that time and the front desk clerk told us a good place to eat, so we walked there and ate. It was almost 11 when we got back and we sat out by the pool for a bit enjoying the beautiful Florida night. The Mgr also stated that all that was put down was baby crying. And when I informed him that when we called back the second time that we let the front desk know there was NO baby just two very loud adults who wouldn't quit trying to get into our room and being very loud. He said well they can't get into your room. I said I knew that but they kept trying! The Mgr said he would have to do an investigation. I asked how long the investigation would take he said he could not give me a time frame. I then expressed that I felt he was trying to push my concerns under the rug. I explained I was calling corporate. He said that was fine but HE was the only one who could give money back. Very rude customer service, it is no wonder that the male front desk person at night treats people the way he does if his Mgr does the same. Breakfast was a joke with bananas that the stems were already opened and put back. The only one not opened felt liquified inside. Do not stay here if you want to sleep! Do not stay here if you want good customer service!

The hotel was clean and the clerk was friendly and professional. I was left at the airport for nearly an hour waiting for the hotel shuttle which was the only downfall really. You get what you pay for so I cannot complain about the hotel itself. It's certainly not a 3+ star hotel but the price was right for my needs.

We stayed here on our way to and from the Caribbean so it was one night on either side of the vacation. It's a easy Uber ride from the airport, the check-in was quick and easy. The rooms were quite adequate and well-appointed. Mattresses were comfortable and they do offer a free breakfast in the morning which was actually quite nice. I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here in our first night from long flight from Europe, previous to start a Florida trip. Perfect location, close to the airport with easy access. Best western standard good breakfast buffet I missed gluten free options in it. I would probably repeat if back in the area.

I stayed here for one night to catch an early flight the next day. Free shuttle to/from the airport. I called when I landed and the shuttle arrived within 20min (it does share with other hotels in the area). Check-in was quick - staff was pleasant and professional. It was clean, AC was strong - but not enough lighting - the room was a bit dim for my taste. Bed was very comfortable. Just off the highway but I did not hear any street noise the entire night. Food options available but mainly before midnight, after that you will be hard pressed to find something open. Breakfast in the morning was simple. Overall, pleased with the stay and would definitely book again for an overnight layover.

This hotel has never let me or my family down. It seems like every time we go the place gets better and better and the people always take amazing care of us. I'd like to give a special thank you to Ullia and Rose:)

Ok, so the place is nice, bed was great, but... The young women on staff was at least somewhat engaged with guests, but the man who seemed to be in charge treated us and others somewhere between annoyance and contempt. He's in the wrong business. Room phone doesn't work? ... Just a dismissive shrug. TV doesn't work? "They're all out, what do you want me to do?" Well, sir, I want you to act as though you value my patronage, that's what. You only have to pretend for a few minutes and you can go back to talking with your friends, which seems to be your first priority.

Let me say that this hotel is great for its proximity to the airport they have a free shuttle to (FLL) a 24 hour MacDonald's at the end of the parking lot, rooms are nice and come with fridge micro wave, they also have small internet area for accessing internet and printing, they serve a continental breakfast as well and they have a pool. this is a very solid place to stay. Can be a good value for the money, depending on what's going on!

This is our second time at this hotel and we were pleased as usual. This hotel is ideally located and offers good accommodation at a reasonable price. The staff at the hotel are very accommodating and on one occasion exceeded our expectations with the preparation of a separate breakfast item due to our dietary restrictions.

OK breakfast, AC in room went off an on all night so be smart about also turning on the fan so it is always running and drowns out the on and off. The room rates seem to be all over the place, depending on who you book through and when you book. Never experienced that before and didn't like it!

Although the rooms were no-smoking, there was a very strong smell of cigarettes in the room, specially the bathroom. Telephone didn't work. Breaksfast is included but keep in mind it is basic and very limited. There is a complimentary shuttle to/from airport, but it is not regular and you have to call the hotel and ask to be picked up at the terminal. I wasn't informed about that and waited for over 1 hour at the transfers spot until I gave up and called an Uber. Front desk was indifferent, not rude, but not at all friendly.

Needs major upgrade and cleaning. Carpets are dirty, toilet doesn't flush well. Poor Wifi, TV signal Poor, Sheets Stained, Coffee maker in Bathroom (gross). Rooms are poorly lit, smoke alarm kept beeping very noisy did not have a pleasant stay at all. I would not recommend at all. Location is not to be desired.

How bad could staying at a hotel for one night be, you ask? Bad enough to say please find another hotel in which to stay. Extremely dated, room was very musty and smelled of mildew, bed not comfortable at all, rug stained, curtains falling off the window, it just gave you a feeling of you just wanted to take a shower!! We could not wait till morning to leave............ If you are in FLL for one night there are plenty of much cleaner and nicer places to stay, just book you reservation enough in advance so you can stay at a quality hotel. Lesson learned !!

Flew into Fort Lauderdale and stayed there the night before a cruise (which departed from Miami). Upon landing, called the hotel for the shuttle and the person at the hotel desk was very helpful at giving instructions on where to find the rendezvous point from the terminal we landed in. It arrived in about 15 minutes. The hotel is near a shopping plaza that included a grocery store, fast food, and Big Lots. This was helpful for us for getting a bite to eat late in the evening (pizza) and picking up a few things we needed for the cruise.

stayed one night because we could park the car for 1 month while cruising, but expensive. The room was comfortable and clean, breakfast was good, like most Best Western, close to the highway, convenient.

Very low quality, poor staff treated bad, to expanse for nothing no view ac was horrid do your self a favor and sat away, unless your a crack head or need somewhere to bring a boomer etc.but other then that get yourself to the nearest clinic for a test if you slept in one of there beds he most certainly have crabs

Shanirea was excellent, she kept a smile on her face and addressed each guest by name. They took care of us for the stay as well as helping arrange transportation to the cruise port. Will certainly stay here again for the next trip to the area.

This hotel is economical compared the sky high rates all over Ft. Lauderdale now. The room was clean and comfortable with a mini frig. Staying here the night before the cruise. The breakfast offered here leaves a lot to be desired. Went to Embassy suites for breakfast with my cruising buddies then to the port. So keep in mind to maybe eat some where else. This is fine for juice and coffee and get going.

Great place! Friendly staff , clean, great tiki bar, great breakfast. Would go back in a hearbeat! Only thing is carpeting should be updated but great price. We went the night before our cruise and will go again.

Very good place to stay to get to our cruise line in a prompt manner. Location was ideal. Good breakfast, helpful staff, clean, comfortable rooms. Sometimes the TV reception was iffy but we didn't come from Seattle to watch TV. We would stay here the next time for the same reasons.

Terrible terrible service. After paying for a room for my sister (who had just gotten out of a hospital and didn't have her wallet) through expedia, they turned her away in the middle of the night, sick, because she did not have a credit card she could swipe, even though I had ALREADY paid and even though I offered over the phone to provide my credit card number. The front door clerk (I think his name was Teddy) was extremely rude, extremely unhelpful, and didn't seem to feel bad in the slightest that he was putting a sick woman out on the street. I've stayed in many hotels, including other Best Westerns, and have never seen service this bad.

The only thing nice about this place is airport shuttle. The room was MUSTY smelling you could hear noise all night long.They charge for bottled water most best western I stay in water is in the room. The staff is rude and act like you are bothering them.

Great free airport shuttle pick up. Even at almost midnight they were right there to pick us up. After a long overseas flight we were happy to have such prompt service. Nice room, clean, comfortable bed Easy check in, friendly service.

What did BW give them a + for? + seedy? + smarmy? + poor service? We flew in from our lovely European vacation late last night and couldn't get a flight home at that hour. So we figured we stay at the convenient airport Best Western on points. Big mistake. Big. The service sucked, the room sucked, the breakfast sucked. At one point I inquired about cream cheese and was told they'd find me some in a moment. Well, that moment never came. A few minutes later I saw 6 employees milling about chatting. Could none of them take a moment? This may be a small thing but it is endemic of our entire stay. Best Western is a crap shoot. The Harmonie in Vienna is one of the finest hotels I've ever enjoyed. This one was one of the worst.

We stayed here for one night because I had some airfare credit that I had to use and I have to say that this is a nice hotel. We got a deal through hotels.com and it was worth it. It's super nice and thw room we stayed in had a refrigerator and a microwave. It was a decent size room overall. My only 2 issue with the hotel are the breakfast area which is tiny so be prepared to wait in line and pass things to other guests. The other is the driver that picked us up from the airport was unprofessional. Upon arrival we were given what restaurants are in the area and we decided that Marina Mile Pizza in the shopping plaza next doir was the place to eat. Fair warning, the food portions can feed 2 people. I got a stromboli and that could have fed 4 people. Also, the front desk was able to hold our luggage for us since we got there super early. Overall the hotel was nice and the staff was friendly. I would definitely stay there again. I recommend it

The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. Breakfast was very well presented and yummy for a quick on the go breakfast. The reason the 4 stars is that it was raining the night we got there and the floor by the window was soaked. I mean so bad we couldn't step on that side of the room which in turn made the room smell funny. I should have asked for a discount or to be moved but they were full to my knowledge. I have stayed in BW that had much more comfortable beds and pillows as well for a less expensive rate. Overall it was ok. Again though, Staff was awesome!! They are the reason the other issues did not get less of a rating.

I stay here often, its really nice. Its not a BW Plus but its just as nice. The bathroom is nice because the door opens out into the room instead of opening in which is nice because the bathrooms are kinda small.

Short trip from the airport with free pick-up by the hotel staff. The trip to the cruise port was a short trip as well. We choose this location because it is close to places to eat as well as a place to shop for items to take with us on the cruise.

The front desk staff (girl from Honduras) was very helpful on the phone and in person. This young lady had the best customer service and a great personality. She exemplifies what a employees attributes shows for any establishment.

Stayed here on two separate nights while traveling out of the country. Biggest complaint, have very disappointing yester-years satellite TV with just a few stations. Was a bummer. On second stay, bathroom not cleaned - feces on toilet seat. Thank goodness I found it and not my partner, she would have freaked. Lobby too small when busy. Breakfast mediocre at best. Hard to get to hotel if you're traveling eastbound on SR 84. And, shuttle driver going to the airport was a class A jerk. Guy who picked us up upon return was great. Place was just kinda a pain. Will most likely stay somewhere next time.

We were allowed to check in early due to arrival of crusie ship. allowed to use the pool and facilities until our room was ready. Computer available to print out boarding passes. Super pool Great location by a strip mall with shopping and restaurantsl Free airport transport.

I stayed here one night just to be relatively close to the cruise port I would not recommend this hotel for long stays The good: - receptionists were very kind and were able to give me early check in - complimentary breakfast - good speed of internet - comfortable bed The bad: - the bad smell of the room

This hotel is in a great location. Close to the airport and the cruise ship port. There are restaurants within walking distance and the staff was very attentive even though their computer system was on the fritz.

Spent the night in the area in order to catch a flight the next morning. This hotel is an easy drive to the airport. They advertise a shuttle though I didn't have to use it. There are several restaurants within easy walking distance which was nice. The room was pretty standard fare and I had a comfortable night. And best of all the price was decent. I'd come back here if I were ever flying into Ft Lauderdale Airport and in a similar situation.

Stayed as a family of 4 for 1 night after a later flight in. - Decent motel for the price - Easy to find and ample free parking - Easy, friendly check in - Good size room, easily big enough for 4 of us - Nice breakfast. Not a wide choice, but enough considering it is free (cereal, pastries, yoghurts, some fruit, waffles, bread etc). Machine coffee - Clean & tidy. Not been refurbished recently, but it is still nice enough We would stay there again

Without doubt one of the favorite hotels I stayed during my time in Fort Lauderdale! Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the staff and general manager, our names were mentioned at the front desk. The staff was extremely friendly, the restaurants in the shopping plaza next door is perfect for a late night snack. We had two great evenings here, which obviously also added up to the experience. Note, this is not a 4/5-star hotel or so, but the atmosphere is so special that it really felt like home to me. All respect for the general manager who does a great job here; a true sample of excellent hospitality! Truly had a great stay and am excited to say at the hotel again.

Came back from a cruise and the lobby was full of guests departing to on their cruise. understandable. Left a camera bag with hotel staff for safekeeping, and when we went to check out, bag had been moved and was thought to be in Managers office which was locked. Couldn't get into office and had to fly home without camera with all the pictures of the cruise. Not happy. Sent a note and called the hotel about it, spoke to the manager who said he would look into it. Haven't heard back (supposed to call the same day, 3 days ago!!!) and email was sent to Customer Service, but got "We apologize for any inconvenience, but reservations are not made through this email address", with the title "Camera left at hotel" in Subject line.. Not impressed with this hotel in the least!! Service from management is the worst!!!. If you go here, dont expect much!!

We stayed here one night before our cruise and 2 after. Having stayed here before we knew how convenient it was. They offer a free airport shuttle (both ways). The hotel offers free breakfast so that was decent to. They are within walking distance to McDonalds, Big Lots, Dollar Tree, Winn Dixie, Dunkin Donut's and a variety of other places to eat or shop. They partner with All-Stars for shuttling to/from the ship. The elevator 'bonged' when it opened on the second floor, but was happy to find they fixed this by the time we stayed the second time (2 weeks later). The room we stayed in the second night had an a/c unit that worked well, unfortunately it was a little loud. When I mentioned it, they said they were in the process of replacing all the units so I'm guessing we had an older unit. Next time we sail out of Ft Lauderdale, we'll be staying here again.

Nice price, location and room. BUT too long a wait for room after arriving from cruise. Would suggest expansion of lobby to accommodate customers checking in and checking out as well as increased staff available to decrease frustration of customers. Popular because of price and location, but would probably look for another hotel if we return for a cruise. Shuttle service to airport reliable and free.

The facility was average and though the breakfast was good, the eating area was extremely small. Though I expected that our stay was paid for in Canadian Dollars during booking, I was surprised to be charged in US Dollars on my credit card with the several extra charges and fees.

This hotel is very convenient. Close to airport and port for cruising. Rooms are large and have fridge and microwave. Free WiFi. Walking distance to many restaurants. Outdoor pool. Usually booked up around spring break time. May need to wait a little while to check in if you get off your cruise early. Friendly staff.

Why rush to from your plane to your cruise ship. Come a day or two early and stay at the Best Western Fort Lauderdale Airport /Cruise Port. They'll arrange transportation to the port the next day for a small fee of $8.00 per person.

We stayed here in early April prior to going on a cruise. Our room had a microwave, a small fridge, king bed, desk, easy chair with ottoman, flat screen tv, dresser, and a closet with iron and ironing board. The bathroom had a tub/shower, toilet and sink as well as soap, shampoo and conditioner, and a hair dryer. The hair dryer has a built-in night light which makes it very easy to find the bathroom during the night. The shower was great - lots of hot water with good pressure. TV reception was not the greatest and there isn't a large choice of channels. My wife likes HGTV and that was not available. There is free wifi. A complimentary breakfast is served from 6 to 10am consisting of yoghurt, cereal, eggs, sausages, waffles, bagels, muffins, bread for toast, cinnamon rolls, fruit, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, and juice. The hotel has a decent sized pool. There is a free shuttle from the airport to the hotel that takes about 15 minutes. We had to wait for it at the airport for about 25 minutes. There is also a shuttle to the cruise port at a cost of $8 per person. There is a small strip mall next door with a grocery store, a few restaurants, liquor store, dollar store and a laundromat. McDonalds is right next door.

great place to stay prior to cruise. good breakfast and very helpful in getting from airport the night before and to the ship in the morning. convenient to eating places for the evening. Staff very helpful.

This BW is clean, friendly and ideally positioned close to airport and cruise port. Rooms are large and comfortable. Can be crowded on embarkation day. Shuttle available for both ports. Situated off I-95 with a plaza,restaurants and several other hotels nearby. Good breakfast. Parking. Usually reasonably priced except on holidays. Stayed here many times.

This hotel purported to have a complimentary shuttle to cruiseport. On arrival we were not informed of the upcoming charge--it was added to the bill without comment. On asking for a manager we were told at three different times that "none was available" or "he'll be in later." Our Single reason for booking this hotel was for the service of the shuttle. With this lack of integrity and false advertising never again!!!

They gave me a quiet room. The breakfast was pretty good. You had choice of eggs, pastries, cereal, yogurt and more. Free shuttle from the airport and only $8 for shuttle to cruise port. Kind of pricey but cheaper than many other hotels in the area.

I chose this hotel for those two reasons, plus the chance to sit around a pool with palms after a long winter. The pool area was disappointing, so we really didn't access it. Not very inviting. Breakfast promptly shut down at 9, so we had to get up to assure we had something to eat. Literally, the staff starting clearing things away on the dot. So, unsurprisingly, there was a massive influx of people into the breakfast area between 8:30am and 9am. Too many people for the available seating. Plus everyone was bumping elbows, attempting to get their food quickly. Needs improvement! The airport shuttle arrived close to the scheduled time and transported us there in about 15 minutes. There is a Cuban restaurant across the street, bus service nearby to go to Broward Central Terminal (bus #6). From there you can walk to the Riverwalk to catch the water taxi near the Briny Pub. Or, you can walk across the bus terminal to bus #40, eastbound, to go to the Bahia Mar, where the Jungle River Cruise boat is docked. The computer and printer was working well! Appreciated! Staff had room temperature set at 61 degrees and kept putting it to that. Had to go get a blanket from the front desk, as I got chilled being in there while it warmed up. TV was very blurry. No HD. This hotel is ok, does the job, but isn't one I would rank great. We've recently used this one and one in Palm Desert. Both were adequate, but I'm going to look for a different chain the next time we travel. Best Western needs to do more to improve their properties.

This hotel is ideally located for the avid traveler. My family of 8 visited Fort Lauderdale and stayed at this hotel based on a recommendation of a good friend. We stayed for 10 nights and everyday it felt like home. The rooms were well attended and the breakfast was more than adequate. The shopping center within walking distance provided easy support for some quick meals as well as a supermarket and other shopping.

This is a very old looking hotel inside and out. Very expensive for what you receive to stay there. It also cost if you have to go to either airport/cruise port, the first time ever we had to pay for this service.

Room average for Best Western. Breakfast better than most. Don't try to check in early. Even if it is requested. Not very helpful, If you are going on a cruise the shuttle service is helpful but we were driving to port and the traffic is very busy in this area. May try other Best Western in you are driving , easier access.

Best Western 1221 State Road 84 We have stayed here a couple of times before getting on cruise boats leaving from Ft Lauderdale. The hotel is close to the airport and even closer to the cruise terminal. The staff is friendly and accommodating and the rooms are clean. However, the hotel is worn around the edges and would be in need of some renovations but as it seems to be full of cruisers it probably won't be seeing that. The breakfast (included) is basic; eggs, sausages, toast, bagel, cereal but with a surprisingly good coffee. The room has no in room safe, only 20 cable channels, and no non slip mat in the shower. But it does have lots of plugins (we travel with too many electronics) and relatively fast and reliable Wi-Fi internet connections. The bed was comfortable and since we were on the 2nd floor and quite a way from the elevator, very quiet.

I was booking pre and post cruise hotel. Due to the location, the hotels are in general higher priced than same class hotels in other areas. This hotel was sold out for my pre-cruise stay so I had to book the more expensive one right opposite the road. I managed to book this one for our 2-nights post-cruise stay and I am quite happy with it. I wouldn't say it was cheap but much more reasonable than the one opposite. This is an older hotel but everything works fine in our room. The beds were very comfortable. We asked for a room furthest away from the main road and so it was quiet. Even though there were only 2 floors, there was an elevator. Breakfast was not bad either. We arrived very early and there was no room fitting our requirement ready yet. The girl at the front desk was very nice and let us store all the luggage in a room and told us we can do our business and come back any time we like and she will get our room ready for us. That was exactly what happened. There was a shopping center with a bar and grill and some fast food restaurants. There was also a big supermarket, a Dollar shop and a Big Lot shop. Across the street was a German restaurant which was quite good. I understand that there was paid shuttle service to the cruise port, although I did not have the opportunity to use it.

An older property with adequate accommodations, the Best Western Fort Lauderdale Airport/CruisePort is very conveniently located between the airport and the cruise port. The furnishings are dated, but comfortable, and the room size is just right. The outdoor swimming pool is very nice and there are a few good restaurants (mostly fast food and casual) within very close walking distance. Breakfast was above average, although the breakfast room was not particularly appealing. Our group of two couples experienced a surprisingly unfortunate situation when we checked in, but I think this might have been an isolated incident. The desk clerk did her best to remedy the problem. This location was overbooked when we stayed here due to several flight cancellations that were weather related. I do believe this is why they decided to cancel my reservations that were made five months earlier, so they could accommodate the guests who were trying to get a room at the last minute.

We stayed here two nights and had two very different experiences on each night....Here's what's up with this hotel, it's going through a renovation. If like us you are put into one of the unrenovated rooms then you are in for an awful experience of disgustingly dirty rooms, the walls have mould, the carpets are filthy. Honestly I think even the cleaning staff have given up even trying to make them presentable. I had a hard time sleeping worrying about bedbugs or other creatures.. I have travelled a lot and these hands down were the nastiest rooms I've ever stayed in. I mentioned it to the receptionist where they offered to move us to a different room, ones on the 6th floor that had been renovated...these were nice clean rooms, like you would hope for when travelling. The old rooms are the same price as the renovated rooms. Honestly the hotel, for both their reputation and for comfort of the guest, should not rent out the unrenovated rooms. It's lowering your ratings significantly on what could be a decent hotel...the reception staff were lovely as were the staff running breakfast

In general, the room was very poorly maintained, with a huge brown stain near the door (see pic), light switches that I don't think have ever been washed (see pic), a used towel hanging on the back of the bathroom doors and generally dirty (see pics of yuck). We cancelled our second night there and rebooked at a different Hotel.

Stayed one night before a cruise. Their pick-up from the airport went fine, the room was ok in that the bed and bathroom were clean. Can't say the same for the condition of the carpet and upholstered furniture. Strip mall nearby was ok but I wouldn't want to go there alone at night. Had a take-out meal from a Mediterranean restaurant there which was good (not great). Next morning had a little to eat in the hotel (at best it was average). And all of this for $269 plus tax! So not worth it. Won't stay there again.

We stayed at the Best Western the night before our cruise. It is located near several restaurants and a strip mall so it made it easy to pick up a few last minute items or something to eat. UBER is always an option to get to locations a little further away. The hotel was clean and offers a limited breakfast selection. The double queen was large enough to accommodate our family of four and all out luggage. Good place the layover for the night but nothing special. For those going in a cruise there is transportation to the cruise port for about 18 dollars pp provided by All Star.

Stayed here the night before a cruise. Room was spacious, comfy bed, good AC and decent size bathroom. Shower head is low on the wall so be prepared to bend over to wash your hair. Counter is also lower than normal. Breakfast was good but limited choices and limited seating. We had an issue which could have been really bad. My credit card was compromised after I booked and I forgot to advise them of the change. I received an email the morning of our arrival date stating they could not pre authorize the charge and to "call them if I got the chance". I replied to the email stating I would be there by mid-afternoon and would provide a different card upon arrival. When we show up, we're advised that the room was cancelled after I replied to the email. They never advised that the room would be cancelled unless I provided a new card # that morning. Luckily, there were still rooms available but we were not impressed by how they handled the situation.

Pool was dirty. Breakfast area very small. Given wrong information from the front desk staff for shuttle arrangements to get to the cruise ship. Great pizza place within walking distance. Room clean, but curtains did not close completely tight at the window. We were in ground level.

We stayed here one night prior to our cruise and one night after our cruise. Perfect location between hotel and Port. Reasonably priced and includes breakfast (and if you need more than what is offered, you are right beside a McDonald's and a grocery store.) Friendly staff and clean, comfortable room.

The only positives I can point to this hotel was the pleasant female receptionist who answered our call about the shuttle from the airport and the fact that the shuttle came promptly (it was already on its way for other guests). The receptionist was polite and gave detailed instructions about the pick up area. When we got the hotel her colleague had poor English and a surly manner. Our room was by the reception and the lift on the ground floor with a window looking out at the hotel entrance and was consequently very noisy. The decor was 1970s, dark and worn. I was annoyed to find the TV barely worked, many channels not working at all and others with no sound or very poor picture. Looking at the set the arial cable had been repaired and was held together with tape and this was the cause of the problem. I tried to call reception but the phone didn't work either. I went there - it wasn't far! - but the male receptionist could not have cared less. He said he knew the tv was a problem in our room but that there were no other rooms. He said he would send a maintenance man to look at it but no one came and I gave up and went to bed. When I went for breakfast in the morning the key card no longer worked - I began to wonder if anything did. If Best Western wants to operate as a third rate motel they should not charge first rate prices. $200 a night (more at weekends) is ridiculous. Typical Fort Lauderdale hotel rip-off - overcharging for rubbish because they know the cruise passengers have to stay somewhere. I won't be back.

We chose this hotel because it was close to the Cruise Port and it had a free airport to hotel shuttle. We arrived at the airport and after getting our luggage we called the Hotel for a shuttle. It did take almost 45 minutes to get there but the driver was so friendly we didn't get upset. He did have to make a couple of passes through the airport to pick up other people also going to the hotel. When we arrived our room was not ready, but we did not expect it to be. The clerk told us about a restaurant right across the street (same side as the hotel) and informed us that we could keep our luggage there in a secure room while we went to eat. So we went and ate a nice lunch. When we got back our room was ready. We went up to our room and were pleasantly surprised with a nice cool, clean room. We explored Fort Lauderdale for a while and when we came back we had a wonderful nights sleep. The next morning before we headed to the cruise port, which Best Western provided a shuttle to for a minimal fee, we enjoyed a nice breakfast and some coffee. The breakfast was delicious and so convenient. I would highly recommend this hotel for it's convenience to the cruise port and also because it is in a nice part of town and close to the beach and plenty of other amenities.

We were very impressed with this hotel. The service from the airport to the hotel was seamless as was the shuttle to the cruise ship the following day. The complimentary breakfast is a plus and the Best Western brand never disappoints. We enjoyed our stay. It's nice and close to a small strip mall that features a few places to eat and the dollar store is great to pick up any items you may have forgotten.

We were looking for some place close to the cruise terminal. This filled the bill. We arrived late, it was raining. The MacDonslds across the parking lot provided dinner. The hotel provided a shuttle to the cruise ship for a nominal fee. Breakfast was the usual hotel fare, but adequate. Room was clean, WiFi worked. Help polite.

This was a late January, pre-cruise overnight visit and location was the only really positive thing I can say about this property. The property itself is a bit tired and is 1970's in decor and style and way overpriced ($253!!). The "free" breakfast was a joke, 100 guests packed into a tiny space for a self-serve operation designed for a couple of dozen. (We ate at the fast-food place next door). The clincher was the hotel's contracted shuttle service to the cruise port. Talk about a Chinese firedrill? We had signed up for the $8 shuttle and found ourselves with a hundred or so of our closest friends milling about in the parking lot listening to the shuttle contractor trying to figure out who was going where and in what bus or van (there were roughly seven cruise ships in port that day). Eleven of us rather mature types wound up getting jammed into a eight (?) seat van (with our luggage). Fortunately the ride was only about ten minutes long. "Chaos" would be an appropriate term for the transport evolution and BW needs to look closely at the vendor they have chosen to partner with.

The receptionists were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is obviously not brand new but in fair condition. The breakfast offerings were what we expected. The location was not bad at all. Overall a good few days spent there.

We stayed 2 nights before our cruise the first week of February 2018. Nice hotel with a good breakfast included. Entire Staff was nice. Room could use a little more attention to detail but was fine for our 2 night stay. Hotel Provided free pick up from airport to hotel and transportation to cruise ship was $8 / person. Their transportation process from signing up to getting on the van is a bit unorganized and confusing. We called to reserve our transportation the night before as instructed, however when we were waiting to board the van we realized our names weren't on the passenger list. Eventually we were added. There were no less than 50 people waiting inside, outside in front and some on the side of the bldg. Difficult hearing names or room numbers being called. People and luggage everywhere making it difficult to get through the lobby and difficult for those arriving to the hotel to check-in. Organizing this process would seem to work better by using Parking Spaces by the lobby entrance, and having people in specified space by cruise ship name, last name or Room number. I would stay again before a cruise, but would make sure I am on the transportation list to get to the cruise ship. Also if you are returning to the hotel after your cruise you are signed up for transportation from the cruise back to the hotel BEFORE YOU LEAVE FOR YOUR CRUISE and you get your receipt / paper work noting you have paid. That trip is $12.

This hotel looked like it hadn't been updated for 40 years, The lobby and breakfast area were small, and breakfast was a joke. The carpet and rooms were musty and dark. We lacked hot water for a departure morning shower, but they did give us a $30 discount. If we still had our rental car, we would've slept there! The Heidelberg Restaurant down the street was excellent, and we were lucky enough to have a decent shuttle experience from the rental car drop off to the hotel and back to the airport the next morning. I had a friend with me, so I felt bad for making the reservation, and wanted to cry. The bed was hard and the pillows were half the size of a normal queen/standard pillow. AWFUL!!! I don't consider $189/night a cheapo hotel.

The best thing about this hotel is the staff. That were all welcoming and helpful. There was a huge mob at breakfast, but the staff was helpful and SO cheerful. We especially enjoyed Elizabeth and Blanca. The airport shuttle was a bit slow in coming. The rooms are clean and comfortable but could use a refurbish. There are few restaurants in walking distance. The Cuban place across the perilous-to cross street was quite good with excellent service.

My friend and I stayed one night before our Royal Caribbean cruise on Independent of the Seas. We happened to get there the night of the Super Bowl game. Being from PA, we were big Eagle fans and ended up at a nearby sports bar having dinner with Eagle fans from Florida. The motel was very clean and quiet. The breakfast was good and even had bacon, my favorite. The big disappointment was NO JUICE because the machine was not working. Not just no juice, but specifically no orange juice... in Florida! There could have been some cartons of juice as a replacement for the machine not working. If I didn't drink coffee, I would have been even more disappointed. No orange juice in Florida!!!

Hotel is not a the best in the world, but it's good for a night before a cruise. The rooms are pretty clean, musty, a little old and the fixtures are rusting. The good news is that I wasn't afraid to touch anything because it's clean looking. Breakfast was typical, but good. Kids loved the waffles. Staff are fast and friendly and they sell adult drinks at a reasonable price in the lobby.

I am a BW Platinum member and was very disappointed. First we waited for 40 minutes to get the “free” shuttle from the airport. I called 4 times before someone finally showed. No apology no explanation. After dinner at Slackers bar and grill, we went to the room to enjoy some TV before bed. But, alas the cable system was not working. Again, no apology. The room was nice, clean, and comfortable. Just beware, this BW is poorly managed and apparently does not give a crap about customer service.

Not a good reception area, very dated and not at all welcoming. The hotel is not of the standard expected of a Best Western and we would have gone elsewhere if staying longer than one night. The whole place is in need of an update. There are plenty of other hotels in this area to choose from and certainly the Best Western is not worth the money we paid.

This hotel is conveniently located to the airport and cruise lines . They have shuttles to both venues. The rooms are very clean and nicely appointed. The staff was very accommodating. Also, there are a few very good restaurants nearby if you are without a car.

Our opinion on this BW do not book I booked this bw via internet on the BW website, 6 months in advance of our cruise . I am a BW rewards customer and have stayed at many BW hotels in the past. Received a confirmation email when I booked and then another the day before we were to arrived. Arriving into Fort Lauderdale, I contacted BW for shuttle picked up at airport, our driver was prompt, courteous and took us to the BW. Upon arrival I was told we did not have a room as my card was declined, and no rooms available. Showed them the confirmation email, well we have no rooms. I requested to speak to the manager, who stated he called me to tell me my credit card was declined, I asked what was the phone number as my cell phone has no call, he could not tell me and said well you are not a rewards customer. Yes I am and here is my rewards number. Manager did start calling around to find us a room, found us a more expensive room ( we would have to pay Hughes price )at the Crowne Plaza cruise port, told BW we will pay the rate I booked as I have a confirmation email, and we will need a ride. BW did talk Crowne Plaza, the rate was approved and our airport shuttle driver did take us to the new hotel. Spoke to two ladies in the lobby of the BW who stated we were lucky as their door did not lock well and the phone in their room did not work at all. This BW lobby was pretty run down , never saw a room, would not ever book this hotel.

Our king room was huge and very clean. Decent breakfast buffet. Nothing fancy. Love the free airport shuttle and it was expedient. Only complaint.... If you call the hotel directly, you are put on hold for quite a while. I called twice and was placed on hold for at least 10 minutes. Overall, a nice,clean reasonable place to stay near the airport and port.

I booked this hotel from @ reservation service's website, on the info that there was a 24 hour airport shuttle available. The shuttle and lower room cost were deciding factors. There are quite a few hotels to choose from that offer this service. My bad luck...the reservation website's info was wrong. I had sent sling a note with the reservation asking them to contact me at my email address if midnight was too late for shuttle. When we arrived, there was no shuttle because this hotel shuts down that service at 10 pm. I've heard it all...it's the reservation website's fault, that service says it's up to the hotel 5o keep their info current, yackity yak. So we caught a cab, no big deal. If the reservation fad t been prepaid, I would have cancelled and rebooked at a hotel with 24 hour shuttle. The hotel is pleasant enough, with snacks and wine for purchase at the front desk. The room was spacious, th3 bed comfortable and the staff cordial. I'd have given it 4 stars but for thatshuttle problem.

I had purchased one room did this through booking.com, I did this the day before. I have the confirmation in email, text message, in the app..yeah im glad we have a plan. So from the airport I called the hotel said I was there no problem we will send a shuttle right away. Shuttle gets there and the shuttle driver says to me there was a problem with my credit card. ???? (I didn't pay online as with booking you pay when you arrive) so.. red flag one. And You are the shuttle driver, why do you know anything about my business transactions? That's not your job and if there is an issue you are not the person to tell me. Anyways So shuttle driver calls hotel to confirm I'm even allowed to go to the hotel, hotel doesn't answer the first time so we wait and due to his lack of english which I'm surprised isn't a requirement for best western.. hes trying to commicate but can't seem to explain to me why he can't drive me to a hotel I resevered..finally gets a hold of lady and drives us to the hotel. I got there we were told our credit card was declined. the lady told myself and another couple that the manager gave away our rooms and he had called us, I had my phone and I had absolutely no missed calls. I'm really mad it's like 12am, I'm being told my room was given away. She calls a neighboring best western to see if they had rooms because this hotel is now filled with no more rooms. I'm mad I want to speak with the a manager, booking.com, and best westerns Corp office. A few minutes later lady is like oh okay yes we have one room you can have.. ??? You just told me you were fully booked, now there's a room that just magically opened up? What did you throw someone out the window? Whatever I'm tired, let's just do this so I can sleep. THE NEXT MORNING... We go down early thinking yeah we can get a start on the day, go down there and there's literary a corner of things. Three hot breakfast items.. eggs, sausage, and the make it yourself waffle machine. (Picture below) I see there's eggs that need to be replaced as there is nothing left, I ask girl working hey when will they more eggs..her response to me was oh she is not ready to cook... What the heck kind of response is that?! She's not ready ? Oh well if I knew we didn't have to be ready for paying customers going to a hotel and eat.. then people working at Wal-Mart don't have to help customers if they don't feel ready. Are you serious? YOU ARE WORKING AT BEST WESTERN... Fine we will go to the D&D down the road, I have never been more disappointed with a stay like I was now. BW you have some serious work to do..this is unacceptable. Whomever is the manager here needs to be replaced. My advice to anyone looking for a hotel, avoid this one like the plague. For ten dollars more get your self a better hotel.

The hotel location is ideal for cruising- close to both the airport and the Cruise Port. The desk clerks are friendly, polite and informative. Working with a transfer company, they have the shuttle process well organized. The hotel is clean and the complimentary breakfast is standard fare, but tasty and convenient. However, the lobby/breakfast area is small. There are several restaurants within walking distance in the adjacent strip mall, including a sports bar for those who like that atmosphere. The McDonald's next door is nothing special, but it will do "in a pinch". All in all, if you're looking for an affordable, clean basic hotel for the night before a cruise, this is a good choice.

This is the best place to stay. Staff are amazing. The place in clean and breakfast is hot. Good bang for you money and there is shopping in walking distance. Also have a McDonald's in the parking lot keeps people happy. We will stay there again.

Staff was helpful and nice. Room was nice and clean. Pool area was clean. Notified me when room was ready so we could check in a little early. Breakfast area was neat and clean. Waffles were good. Airport shuttle was right on time. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

From check-in to check-out there was never a moment where the service wasn't excellent. Sonia is a gift to the hospitality industry, as she went the extra mile every single step of the way. We asked for recommendations of places to eat nearby and we had a good number of children with us in the group, so they recommended Dave & Busters and gave us coupons for them. We received upgrades to our rooms when we checked in and there is not one negative thing to say about them. Other hotels could learn a lot from the people who work at this Best Western.

Excellent service. Provides shuttle service to and from airport and the cruise port. Breakfast included. 24/7 coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. Nice pool. McDonald's and bar and grill in walking distance.

My husband and I spent the night at Best Western Airport/cruise port for one night prior to our cruise. The facility was modern and clean. The beds were comfortable, but the pillows were pretty hard. The worst thing about our stay was that we were given an adjoining room. At 4:00 AM, I was awakened by the two women staying in the room next to us. It sounded like they were in the room with us. I could easily hear every word that they spoke. It was not pleasant and they continued talking loudly until they checked out. The shuttle was reliable for pick up from the airport and that was free. Drop off at the cruise port was not free. I think it cost us 16.00 for the two of us, one way. We didn't eat breakfast, so I can't comment on that. Check in and out went smoothy.

We waited 1 hour for the airport shuttle to take us from the Fort Lauderdale airport to the hotel and when it finally arrived the driver told us he was full and he couldn't take us. We then finally took a cab and the hotel manager did reimburse us for the ride. The only positive thing I can say about this place is that the staff was very pleasant. The hotel itself is very old and in need of major remodeling with outdated furniture and old carpeting. The lobby is virtually nonexistent. The breakfast area is tiny and overcrowded. We paid $179 a night for a really mediocre hotel. There is a Hampton Inn next door and a Holiday Inn Express very nearby and although we didn't visit them I can't imagine that they wouldn't be preferable to this place. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.

When I sat in a chair, I found a shoe next to it. Someone from the front desk came to get it, and we found another shoe under the chair. The tub did not have a shower curtain. The shower head was not fixed to the wall and the shower hose fell into the tub. This was a handicapped room, but the tub was high and there was no railing attached to hold onto. The price charged was considerably higher than the internet rate. I stayed there because it had 24 hour airport shuttle. Otherwise, I would have stayed elsewhere. Also, the rating was shown as 4 on trip advisor, so I chose this over other nearby motels. The breakfast was adequate, but the breakfast area was not large. However, we did get a table. I would have preferred biscuits and gravy, which they did not have, but that is just my own preference.

It was clean, well cared for property. The mall next door was very appreciated. Breakfast was adequate. Good value for the family...We had forgotten some toiletries, like toothbrush, shaving cream, toothpaste , which they were happy to provide.

Not a pleasant stay. Will not go back to this location. We called for two nights and then the next morning they said my reservation was for only one night. Each Best Western gives franchise to use their brand so each treat you differently. I really like most of the Best Western. We stayed in some in Europe that was nicer and more helpful.

Absolutely horrible. This room is literally IN the lobby! I woke up this morning to the shipment of water bottles beside my door! This room is also beside the kitchen. I booked a room since August and when asked, I was told that this was the only queen bed room available. For one night, this was bearable. Here are the pros and cons of this stay. Pros: - Room is in the lobby so it is noisy; the breakfast area is right outside the door. - AC was unplugged and the room was hot; thought it was not working. Have the room ready! - Peepholes not covered; this room is exposed to everyone walking by - No room safe - Restaurants and light shopping in walking distance Pro - Microwave & fridge in the room - Free Wi-Fi - Complimentary Breakfast - Airport shuttle - Shuttle to cruise port for $9 Would ensure I pick a double queen room to avoid this room if I come back.

I booked this about 5 months in advance. I gave them a credit card to hold it. About 2 month prior to the trip, we needed to switch card numbers because of a security breach. I called the night before to confirm the reservation and ask about airport pick up. I did not ask about the credit card. The next evening when we arrived - just before Christmas - I called for pick up and was told when they tried to use our card, the number did not work. We arrived at about 7 pm and they no longer had a room available. We had to scramble to find another hotel. Bad service!!!!!

The hotel has good shuttle service: 24-hr free airport to hotel, $8/p hotel to cruise port and $12/p cruise port to airport. The room is big with comfort bed and clean sheet. The shower functions well. The breakfast includes waffle, sausage, scramble egg, bagel, bread, yogurt, cereal package, coffee/tea/chocolate and fruits. The sausage is very tasty; but the fruit is not good as expected from sunny Florida. The reception is efficient with practical information. The lobby is combined with kitchen good for waiting, having coffee and breakfast. All the cup/bowls are made by paper, good for environment. The free internet desk is excellent for flight check-in. The hotel is next to a plaza with grocery, restaurants and interesting stores.

Great place to stay before you cruise vacation. Close to the airport and cruise ports. Nice little buffet breakfast, pool and wifi. Close to some shopping and restaurants. Clean rooms, friendly staff. Thanks.

check-in went very well, but was not acknowledged as elite member the hotel provides a comp. shuttle to/from the air port and a well priced shuttle to the cruise port and toe air port. breakfast was good. all went well and we will will return

We were very happy to return to the BW Airport/Cruise Port and we were not deceived. I called them at the airport and the complimentary shuttle arrived within half an hour. It was a busy Friday and for this reason the wait was a little longer. We checked in early and our room was ready. We made our reservation for the next day shuttle to Port Everglades and it was charged to our room. The cost is $8.00 per person and I think it's very convenient and reasonable.We had a short nap and then we went to the nearby little shopping center, easy walking distance across the street, and got a few things we needed. At night we had our lunch in the pool area. It was nice and quiet. The next morning we enjoyed a very good complimentary breakfast and we got ready to take the shuttle. All went fine and we were driven safely to our ship.

The evening clerk was absolutely wonderful. She pointed out a good near-by Thai restaurant to have dinner, booked us for a transfer to the cruise ship, and did it all with a smile. the Room was nice, and the breakfast was OK. the challenge was getting on the van to transfer to the cruise port. They had booked a body count to seat count, but some bodies took up more than one seat so they had to bring in another van to handle the extra-wide passengers.

When we checked in at 5 they upgraded us to a Jacuzzi suite which was lovely but had to wait in the lobby about an hour for room to be ready and when asked for a regular room they had none available either. The hotel is very clean and good location or the price.

We booked a couple of nights here between arriving Fort Lauderdale and taking a cruise out of Miami. Like a prior reviewer, I feel beds and soap are important. Liked the soap, hated the bed. We are used to sleeping on a Tempur-pedic and do not handle innerspring mattresses well. The hotel staff was helpful, attentive and friendly. We had a couple of maintenance issues that were handled with dispatch. The shopping center just east of the property was full of interesting and useful places. We actually ate at Mini Pita twice. The shuttle service from Fort Lauderdale airport was prompt and clean. The front desk helped arrange the transfer to the Miami cruise terminal.

The hotel staff were very nice, helpful and friendly. As far as the breakfast area goes, the food was Ok but it was too small of an area. The TV's in the room were nice. But the cable reception was horrible, some channels weren't even visible. At least the room was clean and comfortable.

We needed one nights accommodation between flight and cruise so we chose this hotel, We took a cab from Fort Lauderdale airport the hotel, approximately 10 minuets and we paid $26 including tip and extras, the front of house staff were very friendly and efficient. The room was clean and comfortable with two big beds and very compact, the bathroom was small but more than adequate. Breakfast was included, the room was not very big and I would imagine it must be a real rat race at busy times, the choice of food was very good, the quality was acceptable, but plastic plates and cutlery says a lot, one good point was they kept everything replenished. For $12 per person the hotel offered a shuttle to the cruise terminal. Bottom line would I go back, yes, this hotel fitted the bill perfectly

We arrived just after Noon, after our delayed flight from Toronto. Our room was ready so we dropped our bags and headed outside into the warmth and sunshine. The strip-mall just across the street provided all the shopping we needed. Small sizes of shampoo, deodorant, tooth paste, sun block, towel clips, etc., everything that we didn't bring from home ( this stuff has weight to it, so no need to lug it around ). Came back to the hotel and enjoyed a coffee in the lobby, after buying some snacks at the mall. Our room had 2 queen beds, that were very comfortable. We faced the building next door, but that was fine, we were there to sleep before getting up on Saturday and taking the shuttle to the Cruise Post. The complementary breakfast was doable, if you get there early enough to get a table. It had eggs and sausages, various toastable items and choices of cereals, as well as yogart and fruits. All in all, a great 1 night stay. We will do again, as soon as we can.

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. It is clean, well-maintained, within walking of restaurants and shopping. Great rates and transport to cruise terminal. Nice breakfast with good selection of foods.

We had a great experience at this hotel. The front desk clerk was very efficient and accommodating in getting us into our room early when we arrived from our cruise in Miami. The hotel is close to restaurants, airport and the cruise port.

Stayed at this hotel to be close to Port Everglades Cruise Terminal. Hotel staff made arrangements for us to get to the ship. Complimentary breakfast was convenient, and actually not bad. Desk staff very helpful and friendly.

The hotel was not bad but trying to get a hold of them before I arrived to ask question was impossible. I tried for 4 hours and no one picked up.. I had to call the main company and it took sometime for them to get through. And when I arrived in Florida I called the hotel for a pick up and they put me on hold for 20 minutes..That did not make me happy.

I usually choose Best western if I can because of the value and its rewards. We stayed here pre-cruise for just one night. I judge a hotel room by the bed and the soap! Both were great! The bed was comfy and the soap was soft and lathered well. The room was very clean and had two chairs at the desk for seating which is nice if you don't like sitting on the bed. Our room was quiet. We were on the second floor next to the elevator and we never heard it. The hotel is next door to a shopping center that has several restaurants which was perfect for us, as we did not have a car. The shuttle came to the airport quickly and the staff at the hotel arranged for the shuttle to the cruise terminal. There is a charge for the cruise terminal shuttle, but not too much as it is very close by.

My husband and I stayed at this Best Western prior to a cruise. I booked it because they advertised free airport shuttle and $8 shuttle to the cruise port. Unfortunately the port shuttle was for the Ft Lauderdale port not the Miami port that we were cruising out of but the hotel receptionist gave me the number for All Stars Transportation which I booked for $60 to our port. There is a strip mall next to the hotel which we walked to since we got there before our room was ready.

Situated close to Cruiseport and Fort Lauderdale airport and reasonably close to downtown Ft Lauderdale, this place is convenient and access is reasonable. On a busy road but not bothered by traffic noise and shops, places to eat next door. parking is easy.

Stayed at the Hotel pre cruise. Cruise was out of Miami, so we planned to rent a car. Arrived on a red eye flight at 1am, and wanted to stay close to the Fort Lauderdale airport as more family was arriving later in the morning that we would pick up. Awesome value for room. The Hotel offers FREE shuttle to/from Fort Lauderdale Airport and FREE parking. Also offers complimentary Wi-Fi, and Hot Breakfast. I believe they also offer shuttle to Fort Lauderdale cruise port. The Hotel is very convenient to the Fort Lauderdale Airport. I believe it took us about 10 minutes to get to and from the Hotel. We arrived at 1am and the Hotel Staff was very friendly and informative. The rooms are an inside corridor. There are several places to eat within walking distance. Our room was VERY clean, and comfortable. There is an iron, and ironing board. Also a hair dryer.

Best Western Fort Lauderdale. I called the hotel form the airport and within a short time their shuttle picked me up. Beware the shuttle does not say Best Western, but they told me what to look for when I spoke to them. The hotel has an outdoor pool, but I did not use it. The room had a fridge and microwave. The bed was very comfortable. I was able to print my boarding pass at the hotel business computer. I arranged for a pickup time in the morning with the front desk staff. In the morning I had breakfast before departing. The breakfast was quite nice for a small hotel. Sausage and eggs as well as the regular breakfast fare. The shuttle arrived within a reasonable time and it is included with the hotel charge ( I used my BW points for the stay). I would say the airport is only about 10 minutes away. The only fault was that the phone in the room was dead, but I forgot to report it to the front desk. Extremely convenient for people flying to or from Fort Lauderdale

Hotel looks a little dated, but is clean. Pleasant staff. Decent breakfast. McDonald's next door and strip mall with grocery store on other side of McDonald's (convenient if you need something last minute). Wouldn't recommend being out after dark in this neighborhood. Overall, would stay here again due to location with strip mall and closeness to airport and port. Hotel average, location gets the extra star.

Every time we reported somothing wrong we were told, we know about it, it will be fixed tomorrow. The handy man is run off his feet, AT&T cut off our internet by error will be fixed tomorrow. Computer in so called business center not working, we know about it and will fix it Were told by someone that it has been down for two weeks We stay in lot of hotel, but this was the worst ever Front desk staff (one lady) completly useless exept for taking payment.

Waited over an hour for shuttle that never showed up. Despite repeated calls could never get to our terminal. Had to pay for cab and hotel refused to reimburse. Once we checked in, we were accosted at the elevator by someone selling a cruise shuttle service. She promised that she would try to comp that service and would call us back. Never heard back and then our room was billed which was unacceptable. Complaining at checkout was met with indifference. Also within safe walking distance of anything other than the Cuban restaurant. Very unhappy and will ask Cruise Planners to put this place on their black list.

My cousin and I stayed here for 1 night prior to going home from vacation. We used the pool which could have used a good cleaning and we had breakfast the next morning. The breakfast was good and the girls at the front desk were very nice. .

It was my 4th business trip to FLL and as usual I stay in BW FLL. Hotel is close to airport with shuttle bus operation. It is well connected to main Florida roads. In neighborhood we have McDonalds, Wendys, DonkinDonuts American and Chinese restaurants and big grocery store. Inside are well maintained and equipped rooms and outside there is swimming pool .

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the location was very good to spend the night before leaving for a cruise. The breakfast selection was limited, but there is a McDonalds next to the hotel. And you are in walking distance to a few stores if you need to pick up last minute items before a cruise.

Thought the room (king) was nice and spacious, bathroom nice and well-stocked. A/C a bit noisy, good thing we carry a travel fan for white noise. Pretty large strip mall across the street and in walking distance.Vending machines wouldn't accept $ bills even though sodas are $2. HOWEVER... would give a better review but the airport shuttle situation was a mess. When we checked in I requested it for 5 am and they told me every hour on the hour. They only have a 6-7 seat passenger van and there was not enough room to take all who were waiting. Driver said he would come back, but 20-25 minutes later, no shuttle, and those of us waiting had one hour til boarding. Desk clerk couldn't raise the driver on the phone so I asked to call a taxi, luckily he was there within 5 minutes.

Our room smelled like there was recent water damage - very musty - but no sign of repairs. The hotel offers shuttle pick up from the airport if you call them. I asked days in advance if I could text instead of calling but received no response. I called more than once from the airport but no one answered the phone so we had to take a cab. $25. Front desk guy said lots of people said that because they are so busy. Ok, but that doesn't make it right. I chose the hotel in part because of the free shuttle. Tea was available in the breakfast room even in the evening, which I appreciated. Pool looked nice but we didn't use it. Wifi works fine. Free breakfast.

When I arrived at the airport I called the hotel for pickup service and the van arrived within 5 minutes. This was unexpected and very nice. They also provide hourly van service back to the airport. There aren't any rooms with spectacular views, but upon request I received a room facing towards the east - this also means not facing the busy road. The room was well set up for a business stay - the wireless was fast and reliable, the room was well lit, there was enough desk space to spread out my computer and papers, and there was a comfortable armchair and large foot stool. The only thing I would have changed, and this is very minor: there was no non caffeine tea in the hotel (in the room or at breakfast). I went down to the lobby and asked if there was any non caffeinated tea (herbal for example) and they said the hotel did not order any. Part way through my stay the room phone started beeping continuously; when I called the front desk someone came up immediately to check it out. After trying the usual things I had tried (plug, unplug, push various buttons) to no avail, they took away the phone and replaced it with another phone. Problem solved. The person staffing the front desk was friendly when I asked questions about how to get to several places in town I wanted to go. The hotel was packed with people taking cruises, and the lobby was at times very busy. Breakfast was in the lobby and on the day I showed up at the same time as all the cruise people, it was rather crowded, because people were also coming and going through the front entrance. The food for breakfast was pretty good - a modest selection of cereal, juice (which ran out by the time I arrived), eggs, coffee. All in all, this was a comfortable stay for a business trip, and I was able to get the work done I needed to do. I appreciate having breakfast available and the shuttles to and from the airport.

this location is conveniently located to restaurants, gas stations, shopping malls and places to site see. Also, hotel shuttle supports travel to airport, cruise port and some local spots. The rooms are well appointed with furniture, refrigerator,microwave and TV. The pool is also well maintained. There is no wash room for guests but there is a laundromat within walking distance.

We stayed here for one night when travelling from the UK to New Orleans. We had a wonderful experience. The free shuttle service from the airport was great. Sonja on the desk was super friendly when we checked in. The hotel and pool area was beautifully clean. Our bed in the hotel room was really comfortable. We just loved it there! And it was great to have a swim after such a long flight. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff working there. They were happy to help and answer any questions we had about the local area. We were sorry we couldn't stay longer and we would definitely come back again.

Stayed in October for 1 night in 2 double bed room. Rooms are clean, comfortable and newly renovated. Staff are friendly. Breakfast had a good spread of tea/coffee/juice, waffle, omlets, bacon, fruit, cereal and pastries. Plenty of parking and shops and supermarkets nearby

We came to Fort Lauderdale a few days after hurricane Irma. This motel was closed with an employee sitting in a van telling customers they were closed. They had never contacted us to tell us they were not open and the Best Western 1 -800 # had assured us that we would have a room. We were dropped off by an Uber driver only to find they were closed. We sat on the curb with all of our luggage trying to find us a place. Best Western did absolutely nothing for us. We were pretty much just pushed to the curb to fend for ourselves. I felt Best Western representatives were rude and unconcerned about us at all. Very disappointed!!

I recommend Best Western Plus if you are looking for a good night stay. The rooms are very spacious, the prices are affordable and the breakfast is good. We left our car at the Best Western Plus for a low price. The rates are great we caught a taxi to the cruise terminal. Upon returning home we stayed one more night in Savanah, Georgia at the Best Western Plus again off, of exit 104 on I-95. My wife and I were very pleased.

Day before checkout, we scheduled hotel free shuttle to the airport for 7AM. The driver never showed and we had to pay for taxi, caused me to almost run through check-in, security and almost missing my flight.

Good for overnight stay from airport. Shuttle bus from airport arrived within 15 minutes. Good simple breakfast and spacious clean comfortable rooms. Good sports bar close by for reasonably priced food and drink.

This is an older hotel but very nicely maintained. The king bed room was huge by current hotel standards. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Great bed and nice shower. Free shuttle from the airport, but call to let them know you're there and beware that there is another Best Western hotel that does airport pickups, so get on the one for State Avenue. Decent included breakfast which they kept well stocked, although the serving area is pretty cramped. The shuttle to the cruise port is $8 per person. Really well managed, but be sure to reserve at the front desk.

Located near to the airport, I95 and Tunpike. Mc Donald's is across the parking lot, other fast food and supermarket are 5 minutes walk away. They served a real breakfast, not just bagels and toast. This is a clean and comfortable place to stay on a budget. It is not a high end hotel, no entertainment or high end restaurants nearby.

Stayed here before a flight to Mexico ... great location with shuttle to airport (15 mins late) ... fare b'fast ... close to Slackers Sports Bar which has really good food ... if ya leave your car, expect to pay $10.80 a day ... same as the airport parking ... I'll stay there again

Nice place close to the airport. Several shops and dining options within reasonable walking distance. Tasha at the front desk was a pleasure. The breakfast nook was a bit cramped especially with people who couldn't figure out the waffle maker, coffee dispenser or sugar packets. OMG. I'll definitely stay here again when I have an early flight.

Very friendly, clean and tidy. Ideal for a 3 night stay in Fort Lauderdale, shops/restaurants are about a 15 minute walk, beach within 5 minutes, Marina for the Jungle Queen or water Taxi 5 minute walk. Only downside I could really say is the lift is very slow.

We stayed 1 night as we had an early flight out of FFL next day. It is close to the airport. It does offer a shuttle but you have to sign up for it. It leaves the hotel every hour on the hour. Breakfast is offered 6-10am. There is a "business center" (1 computer and printer). It does have a pool and it says open from dawn till dusk. Wi-if is offered free. Once you sign in sometimes you're connected automatically next time; sometimes you have to sign in again. The room is spacious with a bed and a chair. It has a micro, a fridge, and the coffee maker (1 cup at a time) is located in the bathroom. There is plenty of parking available. There is a strip center within walking distance with several stores and small restaurants. We stayed on the 1st floor and it had vending machine, ice, and drinks. It is handicapped accessible.

They cancelled our room because of the card I had on file. First of all since when do you try to process a payment before I even get there!? Then you call me only a few hours to me checking in, but since I was on a flight I didn't get the call! No one was any help. There were no hotels close because of the hurricane and we finally found somewhere else to stay but damn near double the price and the room wasn't even worth the price we had to pay! I cant really say too much about the property because umm..WE WERN'T THERE!! but the customer service SUCKS and I will NEVER book with this hotel chain again!

I saw one negative review here for the BW. One hotel I was planning to stay at this weekend was cancelled by the hotel's management because of issues from the hurricane, so at the last minute we had to find another one. We found this hotel. The reception clerk was very friendly and checked us in quickly. Everything about the guest room was wonderful. The location near the cruise port was ideal. It is next to a shopping center, and there are food choices nearby. I would be happy to stay there again if going on a cruise out of Port Everglades.

Spent 4 nights with my Son and had a great time. I wasn't sure about visiting after the recent storm, but there was no damage at the Hotel. The beach had sand dunes from the storm on the streets, but they are bringing back on the beach. There were trees down in other visible damage in the area, but I am sure that it was be back to normal shortly. The room was small, but very clean and the beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the pool area and it included a great hot breakfast. We also ate several times at the restaurant and it was very good. Their staff was very accomadating and friendly, especially Ullia Ffelicien, Front Desk Agent. I am coming back for a few days at the end of February before our cruise with my wife and can't wait.

Great place to stay when in town or leaving for a cruise. Close to airport and cruise port. Airport shuttle is free and a small charge for the shuttle to the cruise port. Very clean and friendly place. Will definitely stay again.

Myself and my wife have stayed in many Best Western hotels in the USA, Europe and the U.K. and I have to say that this is by far the worst we have ever stayed in except for 2 members of staff that worked the night shift and the late shift the customer service was terrible. Whilst the hotel is not responsible for Mother Nature (Hurricane Irma) and the Power going out there was no back up generator which meant guest were left without lighting for over 30 hours. There was nothing offered by staff in fact the day after the Hurricane the Hotel was closing at 3pm if there was no power however we were not told this directly by the staff we actually over heard 2 staff members talking about it. When we asked at the front desk we were advised that this was correct when we asked what we could do we were told that they would have to try and find another hotel for us this did not happen in fact instead of trying to find hotels for guest they members of staff all sat down to McDonalds knowing that guest had not had a proper meal for nearly 24 hours we ended up arranging our own hotel separate review will be written. Upon check out we were told that we would not be charged for th night that the hotel was being closed. There was no mention of a discounted rate for the night that we had no power I thought that a hotel that uses the Best Western name would have a back up generator if I ever come back to Florida I will avoid this hotel like the plague. I also believe that the prices were put up to take advantage of the Hurricane.

Everything was excellent with 1 exception of the breakfast area being too small. Room was clean, the bed was comfortable. Convenient to strip Mall stores next door. Close to several fast food chains made it easy to grab a bite to eat. Also a grocery story in strip to go to.

Nicely located with nice and comfortable rooms. With experience I found the management are nice and caring. They had a nice coffee machine in the lobby. The breakfast was nice with quite a few different choices

We stayed at this hotel the night before we left on a Caribbean Cruise. It is located in a location near the port with a few good restaurant within walking distance. All of the staff that we encountered were very friendly and helpful.

If you are a midwesterner who is used to average hotels being higher quality, do not anticipate this in Florida. A "deal" on TripAdvisor won't give the bag for your buck you're expecting. If you want an average hotel with low expectations, this is the hotel for you. Outdated and uncomfortable beds, but fine.

IT was wonderful, close to somewhere to eat and also provided transportation to and from the airport. Will stay there again. Price was good and we have never had a problem with Best Westerns where ever we go. Set up pick ups to and from the ship. Staying for one night each way. IF you stay longer would probably want to rent a car.

The hotel is not the worst but is not the best. Me and mu husband went because he was going to take a test at the Prometric and in the map this was the closest place (thinking he could've walked) but it is not that near, he ended up taking and uber and they are a bit expensive there (like $5 and above every ride). There was a shopping in walking distance but is so warm outside that walking seems forever. Anyways things are close but not that close. It does have a shuttle to the airport which is great and service is amazing. The rooms, not so pretty and they need upgrade. The breakfast was great. In conclusion, for a $9 ypu could stay at the hotels that are next to the shopping so you can go walking to eat or shop.

We stayed at this 3 days before our cruise and all was fine. Staff was helpful. We waited a long time for shuttle from airport to hotel...in fact the bus wasn't even labeled Best Western. On our last night after cruise, a Sunday....the floors were being cleaned for 3 hours straight. I even went out to ask the guy to please just let us have a few hours of non vacuuming ...he was very rude and was yelling. The front desk apologized but did nothing. I was very disappointed.

Deceiving advertisement, this hotel was just ok, the staff maybe was having a bad day when my family arrived. Our check in was ok, however when you walk pass the staff you speak to them and say hello first they do not speak back, they advertise a restaurant bar and grill as well as being close to the beach, none of that is true, they have a sign in the lobby saying that they can Drop you off at another hotel and come back and pick you up, then the shuttle experience was another awkward experience, as I mentioned the staff is not friendly at all. You have to wait for the shuttle service outside in the heat can't wait in the lobby. The hotel altogether just was unfriendly.

I stayed here for one night with my husband and grand children prior to joining our cruise. Rooms were a good size clean and comfortable. We had a ground floor room very near the poo, whihc was great for the kids after a long flight They had the pool to themselves in the morning whihc they thought was great. The hotel was near a couple of shops and Mcdonalds. The breakfast was served in the lobby which was a bit crowded but there was a good choice and we did not mind the crowd as they were nearly all joining the ship so made for a fun atmosphere especially as I think we were the only ones from the UK and everyone wanted to meet the boys with thier welsh accents so they felt like VIPS We took a taxi to the cruise port which was cheaper than the shuttle and would stay here again if cruising from Fort Lauderdale

We stayed here the night before our cruise. Got the airport shuttle from the airport. It was there within 20 minutes of us calling. Room was nice and clean. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast area is a bit small and congested but was nice. Service at front desk was great. Only con would be the shower head was to low and we all had to crouch in the shower. Would stay here again before our next cruise.

This was our hotel of choice for its proximity to the airport. They offer a free shuttle to/from airport. The front desk staff was cheerful and welcoming. They reviewed our plans and offered information on local dining. Spent a restful night, to continue our travels.

This is where we usually stay when we are leaving the area. It is a clean professionally run facility. There are several good restaurants in the area. You will be given a directory when you check in. They are conveniently located with the airport and port close bye. It makes early morning departures a lot easier.

We needed a place to park the car plus get to the Fort Lauderdale airport so picked this hotel. It had a clean room, decent Grab 'n Go breakfast & the shuttle was on time. It went to several other hotels in the area not just from this hotel but we got there in time. If you're looking for a big lobby with lots of perks, this isn't the hotel for you. If you need a clean room & a decent price with a shuttle to the airport, this hotel will work.

Stayed in this hotel with my family of 5, in transit to Orlando USA. Hotel met with all our needs for a 1-night stay. Hotel was very close to the airport and appropriate for the late night arrival that we had. Hotel was quiet on arrival and check-in was fast.

Rooms were out dated. Furniture was old and broken. Carpet was just plain gross. We did not sleep at all. Got in very late. We just changed clothes watched a little tv and then went and set outside until McDonald's open and we waited there for our transportation to cruise ship

We stayed here one night and could not be happier with the quality of the property versus cost. The airport pick up was efficient in spite of our arrival at rush hour. The front desk reception (Tasha) was positive and the room was comfortable and clean. The hotel is located near a shopping center and close to fast food restaurants. They also provide shuttle to and from Kiki's restaurant which is located in a sister hotel. The only negative as far as we were concerned is the room door locks which cause a slamming sound when doors are closed.

We stayed here the night we landed and the night before we left a three week stay in Florida. First night's stay was fine comfortable room good breakfast ect.the second night our room smelt so bad of damp.i spoke to reception and they gave me some air freshner but it didn't really do anything to take the smell away.Wouldnt stay here again.I just don't like paying for a room and getting something substandard. As it happens this time I didn't get asked to move as we were all so tired and needed a early night before our long flight home.Although my husband got it in the ear all night about the smell and how unhygienic it was to sleep in it.

We booked this hotel for 1 night as we were going on a cruise the next day. We had a great stay, room was clean and comfortable, location was perfect for a short hop to the cruise port. We will be cruising again next year so I hope there will be rooms available.

Fabulous location for Fort Lauderdale Airport. Great shopping and restaurants all close by. Not far from the Beaches, Rooms are very nicely decorated, they are clean and comfortable. The staff is outstanding.

On our way to London we had to stay overnight while waiting for our next day flight and it was wonderful! The staff was helpful, the hotel was clean and well run. It's always a sign of great management. There's a hotel shuttle free of charge running between the airport and hotel. Simply call the hotel upon arrival and the shuttle will be there to pick you up and vice versa. Ample parking. Complimentary breakfast was delicious. The pool area is well layed out, rooms clean, service great, there's even a shopping area walking distance from the hotel. I mean I can only enhance what's already been said about this location. I would most definitely stay here again if returning to Fort Lauderdale. As a side note on why I was so impressed, we stayed at the Dania Beach Best Western returning from London and it was the complete opposite of this location. So again, well done team and managers you are running a fantastic and successful hotel!

I give this hotel high ranks because the room was very clean and the location was within walking distance of a good sports bar (Slackers). The price ($71) was very good for the area, and the front desk staff was helpful.

Spent 5 days in this hotel on my family vacation, hotel is nice and well maintained, rooms are clean and in good shape, pool is really great and my kids had great time there... problem here is the staff, we had problem on our second day with our room and they changed room for us but during that process staff was really rude, first on reception they all speak english and when three of them talked about me and my problem in front of me they talked spanish so i cant understand and after few minutes they again speak english... most of them look angry most of the time, from reception stuff to cleaners and maintain guy... no smile, no "hello" nothing !!, youngest cleaner lady (thing she is also cleaning supervisor) and maintain guy lead in this attitude problem... and reception desk is 90% of time empty, they are chatting in some room behind and you always wait few minutes for them to come...

Stayed here one night before our cruise. Quick to pick us up from the airport. Check in was very easy. Room was clean and comfortable. Right next door to a shopping center for last minute shopping and a couple restaurants nearby. Breakfast the next morning was great. We would definitely stay here again in the future.

After a long day of traveling with flight delays, my family and I finally made it to the hotel at 11:00pm. I gave my name to the guy behind the desk to check-in for the one night. He informed me that I no longer had a reservation and that it was canceled. Apparently, they had run the credit card the day before and it was declined, so they canceled the reservation. Meanwhile, I received NO notice about the cancelation!! The guy continued and said that they had no rooms left at the hotel. Maybe they could call around to other hotels. And there was NO manager on duty either. As he went to check-in my other family members into their rooms, I checked my reservation made through Booking.com and the website and app still showed that we had a reservation for the night!! I had booked the room back in February for our trip! I had gotten a replacement credit card that had the chip in it so the CC # was the same, but it had an updated expiration date and CCV #. My husband and I were left thinking we were stranded while the guy continued to check-in others. After a little while he turns to us and says he has one room available and the person never checked-in for the room. He offered NOTHING to us for our trouble and anxiety-ridden wait while we tried to figure out what happened and where we could stay. We had to stand there in the lobby looking like idiots in front of our family. He couldn't offer us anything for the trouble, only we "might" get the shuttle comped the next day to the cruise port. He let us know he'd relay the message to the next front desk person and she'd relay it to the manager in the morning. I will be surprised if he remembers to the next morning though to do any of it, since he reeked of weed. Horrible customer service all around.

The room was clean and neat. The breakfast was great. The staff was great. The location was near where we wanted to be. Parking was great and free. This hotel swwms to be very well run and i recommend it.

We chose this hotel because they had a free shuttle from the Ft. Lauderdale airport. We called as we were getting our luggage, and only had to wait a few minutes outside. We arrived late in the evening. They have a McDonald's a few steps out their front door that was open all night. The room was clean and the breakfast was great in the morning.

I stayed in this hotel to drop my daughter off for a late night flight. The shuttle service was clean, the driver made sure I got where I needed to go and was a safe driver. I did have to wait a while for one leg of my shuttle trips but it was a peak travel time and I wasn't on a schedule myself. The hotel was very clean, the bed was very comfortable and the staff was extraordinarily helpful. It felt like staying at 3 star business hotel. My only complaint was the walls were not well-soundproofed so noise in the hallways and of other guests TVs was audible in the room.

Family was going on a cruise and wanted to get in town a night early to ease the travels. We booked a suite here months in advance , when we went to check in the couple in front of us were upgraded to a suite and then we checked in and they told us they were out of suites do to over booking even though that's what we originally booked .ok well were here just give us a room , as we get to our room we realize the door was hard to close we actually had to lift it to close it , I went to the front desk to let them aware of it and also get menus for delivery which they gave me and sent a repair up with in minutes while he worked on the door I noticed scuff marks all over the walls a musky smell in the bathroom and a worn outdated carpet but thought it's just for the night . the repair man leaves with out a word and I go to check the door and it's worse then before it wouldn't even latch meaning u could just push it open from the hall , the front desk called to let me know our food arrived. We took our luggage with us to the lobby got our food and loaded our car and left to find right down the street a brand new Hyatt that was 5 star and same price as what we paid at the worst western ....don't stay there.....

I stayed here last week for about 5 days and my experience was good.the hotel was nice and clean the rooms was awesome and nice and the hotel was near alot of fast food so if you are not in the mood to drive you can walk there and they also serve complementary breakfast. Overall the hotel is good and clean.

If you want a relaxing quiet evening, this is not the place! Noisy hallway, people slamming doors all night long, talking loudly and TV did not have major network channels. Girl at front desk said they had a problem a week ago, and it still wasn't fixed! What?!? And not one guest had a problem with this?

Nice basic hotel, convenient to airport and cruiseport. Has airport pickup and cruiseport shuttle. rooms were large and beds quite comfortable. The breakfast was not gourmet, but serviceable and abundant. It is also adjacent to a mcDonalds, if you need later food, and close to a number of good restaurants. We had no complaints at all. Staff was excellent.

The rooms are of an acceptable standard, the beds are comfortable and breakfast was fairly standard. The lounge/foyer/reception/breakfast area is a very small dark dingy looking room and could do with a serious facelift. The staff are friendly and helpful but not very compassionate when attempting to fix booking errors. Considering its a Airport/Cruise-ship meeting place for travellers it doesn't cater very well for a waiting area for people with luggage waiting for shuttles. It does cater for shuttles at a small fee. There is a shopping centre close by which among other things has a restaurant, a bar and other food outlets. Its a transit hotel and probably ok for an overnight stop, only

Avoid this hotel at all costs. My problems started before I even got there. I waited outside the desolate Fort Lauderdale airport for over an hour at 1AM for a shuttle that did not arrive. It didn't matter how many times I called, no one showed up. So I took a taxi to the hotel. Did the hotel pay for the taxi? No, they refused. Did they lower my room rate to accommodate for the cost of the taxi? No, they refused. Would they call the manager when I asked them to? No, they refused. I told them the manager better be available to speak with in the morning and of course he wasn't. So I've taken my complaint to Best Western corporate with no response. There are other hotels in the area with a similar price point that offer shuttles. If I could go back in time and chose one of them to save myself a headache I would.

A little dated and dark but worked for a night before a cruise. Grocery store nearby for last minute items and a restaurant. We just pizza take out and they delivered quickly. Breakfast was pretty standard for this type of hotel, waffles, cereal, yogurt, toast etc. Flight arrived late so we didn't check out pool. It has a shuttle to cruise port $8 pp you can also book a return trip to airport for $12 per person. Only a few minute ride to cruise port. There is also a free airport shuttle, just call the hotel once you have your bags and they will come pick you up.

We stayed here a couple of nights at the end of our vacation. Room was as expected, bed was very comfortable. Traffic noise was a bit annoying, especially as we had requested a quiet room. On the first night we were disturbed by someone trying to get into our room. When I challenged the male at the door he said he had a keycard for our room - and the same room number was indeed marked on his card pouch. I spoke to reception the next morning - they did apologise and said that the problem was due to a computer glitch. I guess that I should be thankful that we were actually in the room at the time so at least our belongings were untouched. My view is that any hotel should be able to guarantee their client's safety and security - which was sadly lacking in this instance. Be warned.

My husband and I booked to stay here for the night before our Princess Cruise. They were extremely helpful. We had driven down from Orlando and needed to drop our hire car off at the Airport. The lady at the reception couldn't have been more helpful. They then provided a free shuttle from the Airport back to the hotel for us. We booked our hotel shuttle to take us to the cruise port to board our Princess Cruise. Unfortunately I can't recall the name of the young lady doing the bookings but she was so pleasant. It literally couldn't have been more convenient! There was a fee ($8 I think) per person for this shuttle, but oh what a blessing! It was on time, took us right to the ship as well. Regarding the accommodation - the bed was OH SO COMFY! The room very clean and had everything you could possibly need. The breakfast was more than adequate. Should we ever take another cruise sailing from Fort Lauderdale, we know where we will be sleeping the night before :)

We stayed at this hotel for one night before our cruise the next day. Check in was fast and easy. There is a free shuttle to/from the airport. There is a cruise shuttle for $8pp. Rooms are clean, but could use some updates. Carpet has a little odor and furniture could use a little updating, but for only one night no complaints on my end. Breakfast was your typical hotel breakfast-Waffles, fruit, eggs, sausage, bagels, danish and juice/coffee. Located beside a McDonalds and a small shopping area is next door.

It's excellent if you only need it for sleeping. It is not a pretty location, nor is a quiet night due to the train in the back, but it isn't that bad either. Breakfast is excellent, and Dora (the lady who cooks) is quite a human being.

We stayed at this hotel the night before we left for our cruise. The room was very clean and comfortable and the FREE Breakfast was very good. Check-in and Check-out went smoothly and we would not hesitate to stay here again.

Even though I had a short stay at this Best Western after flying in to FLL, it was easy to find, clean, and comfortable. Check in staff was friendly, and the room was perfect, and was provided with a roll away with no fuss. Would stay again whenever in Fort Lauderdale area.

We had made reservations a year in advance held by credit card. Checked all year, no problem with reservation. Day before check-in we get an e-mail telling us we look forward to seeing you tomorrow. Logged into BW website and printed out my confirmation. We had a scheduled late arrival time around 11PM, when we went to check in, they said they had no more rooms available and that they gave our reservation away. If you are going to be a late arrival, don't stay here.

Hotel is located near airport cruise port and business area. Many restaurants within walking distance . Quite clean comfortable friendly place to stay. House keeping is excellent. Bed and linens are very comfortable and clean.

We stayed here for one night prior to a cruise. Our flight landed at 9:30 am. I made the mistake of assuming all the hotel shuttles go to the same general pick up spot. Don't make this mistake. As soon as you have your luggage call the hotel. They will tell you where to meet your driver. Our poor driver looked all over the place for us. Thanks Fritz. When we got to the hotel the lobby was packed with people I assume were waiting for a shuttle to the airport or the cruise port. The young woman behind the desk showed us where we could put our suitcases and said I could call or stop by after 2 to check in. We went to the McDonalds just across the parking lot for a soda and to get changed and then used the Uber app for a ride to the beach. Unfortunately it started raining about 11:30 so we had lunch in a deli and hung around for while, then got a ride back to the hotel. I think it was a little after 2 and we were able to check in and chill out. The uber ride to the beach was just under $10. We went for a walk and ate a quick, cheap supper at Wendys then went to the Winn Dixie for sodas for the cruise. The room itself was nice, clean and comfortable. While it wasn't go in the pool weather we looked at it and it looked clean. It's not a huge resort type pool that you would want to hang out by for the day but it would take the heat off and entertain kids for a while. We are early risers so we were able to sit and eat in the lobby. Breakfast was very good, good selection of different foods. When we checked in we signed up for the 10:30 shuttle to the cruise port, which they charged to the room. The lobby and outside area was very busy with people going to the airport and cruise port but they managed to keep everyone moving. I had thought about using Uber to go to the cruise port, but our shuttle driver said that with the traffic and sitting and waiting involved in getting in and out of there an Uber driver might not want to do it. I don't know. Anyway, overall it was a good hotel for an overnight. Everyone we came in contact with was friendly and helpful.

We stayed the night before a cruise and love this location! It isn't huge or fancy but wonderful for one night. The breakfast was better than expected and we were all full and ready for the shuttle to the cruise port which you can book through the hotel. Also, on the same side of the street is a strip mall with grocery store, liquor store, Big Lots (for the things you forgot) and a fun sports bar. There is a nice pool to take a dip and visit with friends over drinks and snacks.

We were having many travel difficulties prior to checking into this Best Western. The clerks at the front desk did all they could to help us, especially Rosemary and Francis. Thank you for all you did to assist us on our way. Good location with McDonalds right next door. Good free WIFI. Free and prompt transportation to the airport. Our room was clean and comfortable. We left before the free breakfast was served. We would gladly stay here again.

This hotel was a fantastic all round experience!! We arrived early from a cruise and the hotel staff were more than happy to store our bags for the day whilst we went into Miami. On return we checked in- again being greeted with a warm welcome- and asked if we preferred a room on the first or second floor. Once in our room, we received a telephone call to ask if everything was to our standard and it was. A spacious, air conditioned room with fridge, iron and ironing board and even a microwave for your convenience. Admittedly, the hotel is a little dated but you get more than enough value for money to make up for this. The following morning we were needing to check out early and the staff made sure we could access the free breakfast earlier than usual. They were more than happy to book us a place on the free airport shuttle at 6am ready for our flight. The hotel offers free wifi and a list of recommended restaurants and bars nearby. It is more than clear that the hotel puts the needs of the guests first. I would definitely recommend. Thank you for such a great experience!

My son found a dirty pair of panties next to the bed while looking for his fidget spiner that he had dropped. I spoke with the manager about this problem and he apologized and said he would look into it. Also upon arrival to the airport the hotels phone system was down due to a storm they had the night before. I felt they should have been more proactive and had a representative at the airport to help us with shuttle service since we couldn't call and notify them we had arrived and were ready for our shuttle.

Pros: 1. Location - close to the airport and strip mall with eateries 2. Hotel was clean and smelled nice and fresh 3. Rooms were bigger than you usually get for the price 4. Housekeeping was fantastic ! Made sure rooms were cleaned early in the day 5. Free shuttle to and from the airport was great Cons: 1. Breakfast was the same offering every day 2. No guest laundry facilities - but there is a laundromat close by I stayed here for 8 nights with my two 'young adult ' children and they enjoyed it......so I guess it passed the test! Will definitely stay here again!

We stayed at this Best Western for one night after a late arriving flight into Fort Lauderdale airport. The free shuttle from the airport was a plus! The driver was courteous and helped with our bags. The room was clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was free as well.

We were very satisfied with the location, service and amenities of this hotel. The staff especially were extremely friendly and helpful with all our requests. Some type of power strip with a few more outlets near the work table for electronic equipment would be most helpful.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel on May 18, prior to a departing flight the following morning. I would honestly say I was initially a bit hesitant because of the price but I was very greatly pleased with our stay. The room was incredibly clean and adequately furnished with a king size bed, armchair and ottoman as well as a chest for our luggage, desk and chair. Did I mention how clean the room was?! They even provide a "clean remote" for the tv. The woman at the check in desk did not introduce herself by name but was generally friendly overall and very efficient. They even provide a printout with general info, free wifi password, a list of local restaurants and attractions with distance in minutes to airport and cruise terminal. The hotel is also right beside some fast food restaurants that are a minutes walk from the lobby- so convenient after a late night car ride. The free breakfast provided in the lobby was very good as far as hotel breakfast options go. We were able to make a bacon, egg and cheese bagel to go with our coffee and juice but passed on the muffins, waffles and other yummy options available. We were so highly impressed with the level of commitment to customer service and satisfaction. This hotel will definitely be our Ft. Lauderdale go-to whenever we are in town. We recommend this hotel to anyone considering a stay. Thank you for the awesome experience!

This is a fine overnight stop or for a pre cruise stay. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance, a liquor store and grocery. The lobby is crampt and breakfast you will need to eat in your room. Other than that, a nice clean stay. Was ultra quiet for sleeping!

This is an ok place to stay if you want an easy location near the airport. The area really isn't very nice, and the hotel isn't anything special. The price was a little high for the quality but better than comparable hotels in the area. I typically don't mind free breakfast at hotels, but this was not very good. The eggs were pretty awful and the pastries were stale. I would never recommend this hotel for a vacation, but it was clean and comfortable enough for a quick stay.

We have stayed at this Best Western before prior to a cruise. The price is reasonable, but has gone up in recent years (I guess due to the shortage of hotel rooms caused by the BIG ships) . Usually very nice room, OK breakfast, convenient to shopping if you have any last minute needs. Staff is always great!

Stayed here 1 night pre-cruise. My requirements to make me happy are competitive rates, a clean and quiet room, comfortable bed, good water pressure and free Wi-Fi. I don't care about business centres, gyms etc. The BW Cruise Port hotel met all of my requirements. Staff were friendly and helpful and the room met my needs. Would stay again if the price was competitive. The location was easy to get around from and there is a supermarket just across the street. When compared to other Best Westerns and other chain hotels in the price range that I have stayed at this hotel was at or near the top.

Overall the stay was good but they redecorated tour room and the stain on the refinished furniture was still wet and the dark brown stain ruined the clothes we were wearing before we determined where it was coming from. They didn't reassign a room but deducted the $8.50 shuttle fee to the cruise ship. I think I paid more than that for my socks!!! inadequate compensation for damage to our clothes.

was sat outside waiting for my $8 cruise transfer writing my review using the free Wifi. Arrived about 8pm last night and was greeted by a friendly and very helpful receptionist. Room very spacious, exceptionally clean. TV, fridge, microwave, bathroom toiletries, enough clean towels and very good zircon. Sleep ... good blackout curtains, comfy huge bed and better pillows that at home! Complimentary breakfast which was unexpected and very nice. Had a little sunbathe at the pool before we checked out and again the receptionist was polite and friendly. Great place for a stopover near to airport and cruise terminal, food and stores nearby too, overall very pleased.

We stayed here in April 2017 for one night before a cruise. It was clean and very close to a small shopping centre (grocery store/dollar store and liquor store). There is also a McDonald right next door. The outdoor pool was also very nice. The breakfast was standard hotel free breakfast My kids loved it. I enjoyed my over night more than I thought I would. It was a great start to our vacation. If you are going to the cruise port do yourself a favour and take a cab. That way you can leave whenever you want rather than when the shuttle arrives. The cab cost us $17 including tip for 6 ppl.

Shuttle to cruise ship cost. After signing up for their shuttle to cruise port we realized we could have used Uber for less money and not had to wait for everyone else to load and unload.

Good location to airport for business trip. You can get in and out quickly in the early morning. If you are on a leisure trip and want time at the hotel, don't expect to get a dip in the pool early in the morning. They didn't open up until you ask, in this case at 10 am. Also, they don't leave the breakfast available until 10 am. Breakfast help starts putting food away at 9:45. So, if you are catching a late bite before you leave, you better get there early. The food is good and the sleep was peaceful.

It's usually a good idea to arrive in the port city a day early for a cruise - in case of airplane delays or lost baggage. In Fort Lauderdale, the Best Western Fort Lauderdale Airport/ cruise Port is a clean, comfortable and reasonable choice. The breakfast is better than usual.

We found the hotel easy to access from the cruise ship and the shuttle to the airport was a positive.The rooms were spacious and very clean..The breakfast was good as was the coffee. We enjoyed our meal at the local pub called Slackers.

I have frequently used the Best Western chain and have a certain level of expectation from the brand name. That being said, when I arrived and walked into the small lobby area, I was a bit surprised at how dark and dreary it looked. There were 4 upholstered chairs to sit in which looked uninviting and worn. I did arrive earlier than the 3pm check in time and was told the room was not ready yet. I wound up waiting 2 hours for a room, I guess the 3pm check in is written in stone! As a rewards member I thought I would have been offered coffee or something while I had to wait....how about offering a different room that may have been available? If there was actually a brighter, more inviting place to wait, I probably would not have minded as much. The room was huge though, almost too huge for the king bed and furniture. It was clean and had the usual amenities you'd expect from any chain. The TV was okay, direct TV with limited stations and HBO...if the weather was good. There was no listing of what channel you were suppose to get so had to keep surfing up and down and everytime what appeared was different, sometimes I'd get channel 4 whatever that channel was, sometimes I didn't. I attributed it to the satellite not being adjusted correctly....so that was a bit annoying. A channel guide would have helped. The house phone rang at midnight unexpectedly...don't know why, a miscall I hope, but then at 8am, the alarm clock that I did not set went off on it own! We did have a late checkout but on queue at 11am the housekeeping staff was at the door! We sent them away. The front desk should notify the housekeeping staff of that type of situation. Oh did I mention the do not disturb sign was on the door when the knock came as well? On the positive, the bed was comfy, and the water pressure was good in the shower. Breakfast did have a choice of hot...eggs? and sausage, and breads and pastries and cereal. The usual again. Bravo though to the person who makes the coffee! It was very nice! Needless to say I was disappointed in the hotel and probably will think twice about booking a Best Western in the future.

Wonderful hotel staff very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again and I would recommend it to others.The rooms were really large and the fact that there was a refrigerator and microwave in room,The beds are very comfortable.

As a economical option you want to like this hotel. I guess it's a case of be careful what you wish for. My wife had her money stolen in the lobby of this hotel. Thankfully she wasn't hurt and it was a traveler's wallet with only cash and not her passport or credit cards. The most frustrating part is that neither hotel management nor Best Western corporate seemed to care. Not even an apology. Obviously, we'll never stay here or at another Best Western again.

we don't recommend staying at this hotel prior to going on a cruise , they raise the prices too much . the hotel is fine we just felt that you take advantage of travellers who stay prior to going on a cruise . The hotel did take off $15 because we had stayed there previously however that brought the price down to $261 plus taxes for one night . I doubt that you will give us a refund so we will look elsewhere next time we are in florida

Nothing fancy, but, clean rooms and excellent shuttle service to the port. Breakfast area was a little crowded, but, manageable. Good selection of basic breakfast. Pool area was nice, but, not hot tub. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful.

I needed to find a room closer to the airport last minute and was able to book a room here with ease. When I arrived the lobby was opened, clean, and I was greeted by a friendly hotel clerk. The room was good but I could hear a lot of noise from other rooms (like the adjacent room's TV, etc.). I was still able to sleep soundly that evening and get up for my very early flight from FLL. It was very quick to get to the airport and car rental agency in the morning-this hotel offers free shuttle service 24 hours just book it with the clerk!

The hotel was clean, the a/c thermostats was broke so had to unplug the unit after it reached 58 Rather upset they charged me double for friday night just so they can abuse the cruise goers leaving from Fort Lauderdale. I stayed friday and saturday to cruise out of Miami Other then the price it was a good place to stay with a lot around.

Had a cruise scheduled the next day and needed a place for an overnight. Glad we found this Best Western. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Check-in was easy and quick and the staff was friendly and engaging. Price was less than the hotels that surround it, so the value was great. Breakfast was delicious and offered a variety of items. The hotel offers an airport shuttle, and we took advantage of it. However, be sure and ask when you request a shuttle what vehicle they will send. My wife and I expected to see a Best Western branded van to pick us up. But the shuttle that was sent did not have the hotel's name on it. Thank goodness for the patience and hard work of our driver Fritz. He circled the airport three times and eventually called us to find out where we were. It took a bit longer, but we eventually made it. Hotel's location is good for folks heading out for a cruise as there is a shopping center with a grocery store within walking distance. We will definitely stay here again when we take our next cruise out of Fort Lauderdale or Miami.

We did not have to wait long for the shuttle at the airport. The driver worked hard lifting all those suitcases. He picked up a full load. Hotel was clean, room was nice. We walked to Ole Heidelberg Restaurant near by, that was convenient and great food and atmosphere. There is a store next store and a shopping center next to that. The pool area was nice. Our only complaint was the pool is where everyone goes to smoke and they had no ashtrays except for the one on the garbage can. They could put some cheap ones out there for guests. Breakfast was good, with many options. The shuttle to the Cruise Port was also efficient. It was FULL too. But the trailer behind the shuttle carried all the luggage efficiently. The price was a little more than we usually spend for Best Western, however, the convenience is what you are paying for. I would definitey recommend this Best Western to anyone flying in and cruising out of Fort Lauderdale.

When I booked this hotel, for whatever reason I thought I was booking the Dania Beach Best Western, where we normally stay when in FLL. The hotel staff was very kind and helpful. The room was lacking in décor and could certainly use an update. The bathroom had a "repaired" ceiling that they had not painted, which looked pretty awful. Don't believe I'll make the mistake of booking the wrong Best Western in the future.

I tried to reach the General Manager about a charge on my credit card via phone and email for over a month and he (Alejandro) would not take my calls or respond. However, Ana (who finally got me through to him because I asked for "whoever was in charge of him"), she was a delight. Ana was always polite on the phone to me, she seemed concerned but she could not reverse the charges. No one from my company will stay at this Best Western.

Had a late airline arrival and when I called for shuttle service was told I didn't have a reservation and person wasn't interested in my confirmation number then told me he had found a person with my name already checked in, told him that couldn't be because I had just landed and was standing in the airport, he said he could find me a room with 1 bed and I said that was not satisfactory that I don't share my bed, finally said he'd sent shuttle, upon arrival which was way after midnight the desk clerk said someone had checked another person into our room in error under my name but had corrected the problem and my card on file would not be charged for that person. Was given the type of room we had requested finally. The end of a very long day was finally over. Am I a happy customer, the jury is still out on this one!

The hotel is not that charming inside but offers all of your basic needs prior to or after a cruise. The room was a little dated and could use a little lightning up but did appear clean and maintained. There was a fair amount of noise from the ac unit and the walls are not that insulated so the chance of hearing things in the hallway or another room are fairly certain. The breakfast was a little more than some places and a little less than others but for a quick bite to eat it has ample variety. The bonus to the hotel is location. Easy access to the cruise port/airport either thru a local taxi or hotel arranged transfer. There is a strip mall within walking distance for last minute necessities before the cruise such as Dollar Tree, Big Lots ...food wise there is Winn Dixie, McDonalds, and Wendys, along with a few local eateries. For the money is not's a bad deal.

My husband and I booked this hotel because of the shuttle from the airport and to the cruise port after our stay. It took 2 phone calls, 3 hotel personnel and an hour to be picked up from the airport by the hotel shuttle. The room was large and comfortable. ESPN and ESPN2 channels were not available on the TV - much to my husband's chagrin. We dined at Slacker's in the plaza next door - a sports bar with varied menu. There is a McDonald's next door. The eating area for continental breakfast is very small. The coffee was weak. We had breakfast at the middle eastern restaurant in the plaza next door. We did not expect the extra charge for the shuttle to the cruise port which runs twice a day - at 10:30am and 11:30am. There is an elevator so this hotel would be comfortable for those with accessibility issues.

This Best Western is rather time worn but is still a fairly good place to stay. I say fairly because it's such a busy place with all of the in and out occupancy from people taking cruises that the personnel have a difficult time trying to meet all of the the customers needs.The check in desk is rather small, about the size of a tellers window, so that if there is any crowd it is difficult to form any sort of organized line for arriving or departing guests. The rooms were clean and for the amount of people staying, it was quite quiet. They will store your luggage if you arrive early and cannot check in. If you don't have a car and arrive around 10:00Am you will probably have sit in a small lobby for about 3 or 4 hours waiting for a room. This mainly occurs on Saturday or Sunday, as that are the days the cruise ships usually arrive or depart. The is a shopping mall adjacent to the property as well as a McDonald's.

We were pleasantly surprised with our stay. Nice breakfast buffet, nice room, and the girl at desk very friendly and helpful(believe her name was Rosemary). Only problem was with poor TV reception/service(world series station was not available at time) and the AC system worked but was confusing on how to adjust. Shuttle to airport also went smoothly.

Arrived around midnight and promptly had our driver from Hotel pick us up from airport. We were also given great service when checking in. Since we arrived so late, we were given a room closer to the entrance. This was nice so we didn't have to walk down the hotel hall being already tired. The breakfast had a variety of items to choose from. Also, the hotel had a cruise port shuttle available and we used it. We will definitely stay here again.

We had a large clean room. Friendly staff at the front desk. It has a shuttle to the airport which is less than 10 min away. The pool was well kept and not crowded. There are several resaurants lose by as well as 2mf a st food ones.

Rosemary at check in was helpful and very nice young lady??room very clean. Shuttle service convenient and on time. Good bargain for overnight stay. Had Italian food delivered to room that night due to not a lot of restaurants within walking distance.

I'm glad I stayed here before my cruise, very nice and clean hotel with breakfast included, staff was nice and friendly, they offer a free shuttle from the airport and then they will take you to the cruise port only for $8 per person which is great because we didn't have a vehicle. I would definitely recommend this to my friends and family.

Hotel itself is close to Port Hollywood so convenient and is typical, busy Best Western. Be aware that there is zero chance of early check in around and on weekends due to heavy cruise traffic so don't count on getting early check. They will store your luggage but not the greatest area to explore. McDonalds right next door as is WinDixie and a Dollar Tree. Room was clean and suited needs.

We had 9 people staying one night before a cruise. We did not have a car so we were looking for a place that had restaurants and a grocery nearby. The hotel has a nice pool area also. There were a few restaurants and a grocery within walking distance. There is a sports bar very close. The food there was very good. They also provided shuttle service from the airport and provided shuttle service to a restaurant at a nearby hotel. We did not use the shuttle to the pier as we were trying to ensure we all traveled together. I would definitely consider staying here again if we cruise out of Fort Lauderdale.

We stayed for a night before our cruise and Rosemary was terrific. She made sure our shuttle was there and was very friendly. The hotel was near the airport. Having breakfast there made it easier. Great place for a night before a cruise.

This place was a little older and outdated. The rooms were clean and breakfast was good. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Close to the cruise port and the shuttle was great! The mall was close by and there were places to eat within walking distance. We would stay here again.

Hurricane Matthew forced us to arrive early, so we needed a place to stay with the family for one night. We made the reservations while enroute on the plane, without my ususal online research. This worked out well. The staff was exceptional and very helpful. The location was very convenient for arrival at the airport. I would stay again.

I don't understand about curtains. All you had was sheers between you and the place next door. The curtains don't close, so if you don't want peep in tom you have to use a clip to hold together. The a/c didn't get that cold and the breakfast was regular fare. They had painted the chairs in the dining area so had taped off where there was only a few places to sit. We stayed there the night before a cruise and they were sold out so was crowded in small area trying to get food. The room was quite.

The hotel is dated with red carpet in my room. Smell pretty bad when you walk into the room. Service is fine. Breakfast is OK Internet is very slow. Close to grocery store and next to McDonald. Free shuttle to airport and cruise port is a plus.

We stay at this Best Western everytime we go on a cruise from Fort Lauderdale or Miami. Usually a few days before and a few after. The staff are outstanding and are always so happy to see us return. They take pride in remembering their returning guests and it is appreciated and makes us feel like we are coming home. The rooms and property are exceptionally clean and the hot breakfast is fabulous. It saddens us that we will not be staying at this Best Western next year as our cruise is leaving from Port Canaveral. We will miss seeing everyone at Best Western Fort Lauderdale next year however you never know. We just might be booking a few days there just for the heck of it. We've never had an issue with the hotel or the shuttle service, always top notch! However, I'm hoping the heater in the swimming pool has been fixed. Pool to cold without it! Hotel includes airport pickup and drop off. We waited for a hour but still no shuffle and it turned out that we need to call the hotel for pickup which we didn't know ahead of time. After we called, we waited 20 minutes for the shuffle to show up. Room was clean. Hotel was next to a small mall and a few fast food restaurants. We arrived very late at night but we were able to pick up something to eat from Wendy. Checkout time is 11:00 a.m. Breakfast was included.

Bad beginning to a perfect cruise! Refer to "10travel" (Calgary) comments on this hotel, it's exactly what happened to us (so much so that it might have been our very own bad experience and description about what we called our misfortune booking at this hotel because of this "free" shuttle service). It's word for word what happened to us, beginning with the call a week before to book the shuttle before getting to the airport and the answer that we have to call only once arrived at the airport. Which we did, and what happened after Unfortunately we didn't read 10travel comments before booking at this hotel. And what happened to him once he arrived at the airport is the very exact replica of what happened to us with this (very bad) shuttle experience. 10travel said he was "fuming" but we were "boiling" and overflowing, not to mention waiting in the heat and humidity for nothing! The shuttle would have been a "comfort" to first time visitors to Florida and reassuring but unfortunately this Best Western was very careless about this service. We saw, during our 1 hour wait for nothing, many other shuttles with their names and logo coming to pick up their clients but not a single shuttle from this Best Western. We were tricked into believing that the shuttle was on its way to the airport but was never there. Finally we had to take a taxi, not that this was expensive but it's all about the unreliability of this hotel's shuttle service and a very frustrating start to a much looked for vacation. We would have much preferred to be told that, for the moment, the shuttle wasn't available and if we were willing to wait - and this honesty would have been much more appreciated. We would have known not to wait for it, instead of baking in the heat and humidity for an hour! To be fair though, at least we had a good room for the price paid and the breakfast was the usual Best Western fare. The frustration comes from this shuttle misadventure, and the receptionist's unreliability. If we have to go to Florida again, not this Best Western ever.

I booked this hotel because we needed to stay in town overnight, and it was close to the airport and they offered free shuttle service to/from the airport. I have to say, we were pleasantly surprised, as everything was beyond our expectations (based on what we paid). The room was really big and clean, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was updated and spacious. I also have to say we were very pleasantly surprised with the variety and choices available for breakfast. Great bang for your buck!

We used this hotel for our pre-cruise and were very happy with it. The breakfast room could be bigger, but overall it is a very good place to rest your head! There are restaurants and a supermarket practically next door. We'd recommend this hotel.

Arrived early, they gave my early checkin, went to decent sized pool and enjoyed the sun. Walked 5 minutes to a strip mall ( dollar tree,odd lots,grocery store, bar with burgers, Greek restaurant) hotel will shuttle you to the Crowne Plaza for dinner at KiKi's,though I didn't take advantage, McDonald's next door to hotel. My room was very pleasant with a king size bed with fridge and microwave. It was very quiet. A decent size bathroom with the usual shampoo,conditioner and lotion, the tub was clean and the housekeepers I spoke to in hallway were friendly. The shuttle to cruise port was $ 8.00 and was well organized. Breakfast included was sausages, scrambled eggs,waffles, bagels,Danish yogurt,coffee and juice. They had most of the breakfast seating area closed off during my visit due to painting,but a countertop with 8-10 chairs was available. There is no lobby per se so there is no place to sit and wait except for 2 benches out front where most smokers sit. My only complaint was the unfriendliness with the morning checkin employee,the woman in the evening was much nicer. Would stay here again.

The hotel was very clean,rooms are nice and breakfast was good. The best part is if you live in southwest Florida and you are taking a flight out of Fort Lauderdale, to say the Dominican Republic, they have a free airport shuttle and you can leave your car parked in their lot for free! Saved us over $125-$150 in airport parking fees. They also will take you to any restaurant with one of their shuttle buses, again free. Next time I go to the D.R I will be staying here!

The rooms is all comfortable and roomy. Got in on a rainy day, so slept like a baby. The girls, Ana and rosemary at the front desk were friendly and helpful. Pretty decent breakfast area and a strip mall just a walking distance away. The beach is about fifteen minutes so we had fun. Overall. Was pleased with my stay.

The only reason I booked this hotel is because it is close to the cruise port. I called the hotel a week ago letting them know that I required a shuttle from the airport. They told me to call them from the airport which I did. I was told by a female voice that it will take 20 mins and to wait where the hotel shuttle bus sign was which I did. We waited for 1 hour and did not see a shuttle bus with Best Western sign on it. It was very hot that day! I called the hotel again and was told by a male voice that we should get on the shuttle bus which had the sign for Candlewood Suites...we waited another 20 mins for this shuttle to arrive. By this time I was fuming and very hot!! We got to the hotel and checked in. Once I had the room key, I asked the female at reception if she was the one who answered the phone and she didn't acknowledge so I assume she was the one. I told her that this was our first time in Fort Lauderdale and how were we supposed to know that the shuttle bus would not have Best Western sign on it? She saw that I was angry and tried to compensate by giving us a free shuttle to the cruise port which I declined! I was not about to take another shuttle from them! The room is outdated, dark and ugly. I was shocked that this was actual a Best Western hotel. I have stayed in many Best Western hotels and this property is the worst I have seen. The breakfast area is very small for the amount of guests they have. I would not recommend staying at this hotel.

the hotel is very clean, beds were very comfortable and place was quiet. has free wifi and breakfast. bathroom is very clean and has nice thirsty towels. good pillows too. breakfast area is small and there are not many tables to sit and eat. standard hotel free breakfast, scrambled eggs, waffles, bagels, toast, coffee and such. there is a strip mall next door where you can eat at a thai place, greek place, sports bar, (green bay fans), mcdonalds, mexican take out and a dunkin donuts. always choose this hotel when going on a cruise and stay here the night before so i don't get stuck in traffic and miss the sailing.

The one complaint was the late night noise in the hallway. As we mentioned when we checked out, we aren't sure, but it sounded like a staff member talking very loudly. I also didn't give it the top score because we didn't remember the breakfast area being so small and crowded. Did they remodel, or is our memory going? The bottom line is we would recommend this motel and stay here again when we are in the area. Very friendly and helpful staff. It seems we find that in most Best Western.

We had a very quick overnight stay due to a late arrival at Fort Lauderdale airport and a morning departure. Shuttle bus was very convenient but we were told only ran hourly from hotel so had to leave early to ensure check in at airport. Room was spacious, clean and breakfast was limited but good. It was all about convenience.

This hotel was very affordable, and I was surprised at the immaculate rooms, great staff and excellent hot breakfast. The beds were comfortable, and I slept like a log. There were many restaurants and shops within walking distance. Very good experience!

My husband and I stayed here the day before our cruise and are so glad we did! Free shuttle from the airport to the hotel. Very convenient location and they offer a shuttle to the pier for $8 per person (half the charge of Carnival). The company we used was called All Stars, they also asked each of us if we needed a ride when we returned from the cruise back to the airport or hotel so we went ahead and booked it. Was very nice not to have to worry about that when we got back ($12 per person). The hotel front desk staff was very friendly and pointed out some fun places to go and eat during our stay. They even gave us a code for Uber so our ride to Hollywood Beach was free! It is about a 10-15 minute ride, highly recommend it! There are several places to eat and drink including a Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville. The rooms were clean and spacious. Would definitely stay here again if I cruise in the future. They are also located within walking distance of a small strip mall.

First, the outside looked fine and the lobby area was nicely decorated, some the chair were a little stained , but overall it looked decent. Check process was easy. We were assigned room 124, so we walk into the room and the first thing we smell is the damp mildew type smell, the bathroom smelled of cigarette smoke( this a smoke free property), so we asked for a room change . We were next give room 125, the smell was better. Being that we were on the first floor we could not open the curtain to let sunlight because their is an apartment complex less then 10 feet between the two properties ,and occupant can look right into your hotel room. But the most damming thing about property is IT HAS ROACHES!!!! Yes, ROACHES CRAWLING THROUGH THE ROOM . I spent the rest of the evening not being able to sleep . I shook out all of my belonging and put everything back in to the suitcase ,and anything that could be held up by the hanger what hung there, hope that the roaches could or would not get in there. I were leaving that the next day , so I could not sleep knowing that bugs were in the room and panic that one might crawl us , so at 2:00am, we just got and left for the airport. The only plus for this place is it is close to the airport, but not worth it with bug and mildew .

We stayed here for two nights pre-cruise. Definitely worth it! We used the free shuttle from the airport and the moderately priced shuttle to the port. Both were very, very convenient and there are fast food and moderately priced restaurants close by; no need for a rental car. The staff were very helpful with all of our questions and made it very easy on us. I was not a fan of the free breakfast, but hey, it was free. Not sure about the air dryers in the hallway; other reviewers have commented on it and we certainly experienced it as well. They were not annoying, just not sure what the purpose was. We would definitely stay here again.

While I didn't end up staying at the hotel due to a bad 3rd part website, I had a fantastic customer experience. Even though it was 1-3 am, Edwin was able to calm me down while I was crying, and while I worked with the 3rd party, he also helped me look for a hotel, made sure I had water, and offered me food, and was as considerate as could be in this type of situation. He also spoke with the 3rd party website, to help me out and overall really helped in a very bad situation

My boyfriend and I had a cancelled flight and I called this hotel and the lady over the phone was so sweet to me and helped me out a lot. She was able to get us a room for the night and sent a complimentary shuttle for us to be picked up in. When we got there, she was just as great and helped us get all settled into our room. Our room was beautiful and the bed was super comfy!! I loved my stay here and if I ever have another lay over or if I just come to visit the area, I definitely know where I am booking!!!

Hotel offers hotel shuttle pick up service from the Ft. Lauderdale airport to the hotel. The rooms are nice, clean and quiet and they offer your standard Best Western complimentary breakfast in the lobby. Upon checking in we arranged to have a shuttle service pick us up from the hotel and take us directly to the port the next morning to our cruise ship for a very low price. The shuttle service (All Star Shuttle) arranged to pick us up upon our cruise ship return and they took us directly to the airport from the port for our return flight home, it was very fast and convenient and the driver was very nice and personable. The only irritation is after travelling across the country from the West Coast for the entire day, we just wanted to get to the hotel and enjoy a late nice dinner down town. However; upon arriving at the airport and calling the hotel for a shuttle to pick us up to take us to the hotel, it took 3 phone calls and 55 minutes.They told us originally it would only take 10 minutes to be picked up. If we knew it would have taken so long, we would have just paid for a taxi service, as it was late. The shuttle driver gave us no reason for his tardiness and the need to call him 3 times.

After leaving the Quality Inn across the street because of substandard rooms, I tried two other hotels that were full because of it being Fourth of July weekend. I finally found the Best Western. Daniel at the front desk was so welcoming. He gave me a clean room at the best rate available. He made me feel welcomed.

Near by the airport. The hotel is convenient and nearby the Hollywood area. Good staff. Clean room. The TV channels and cables are not good. Internet is repeated interrupted. Nearby food and shopping area. Shuttle to the airport, but you need to call them and arrange it. Breakfast is Ok

We only stayed at the Best Western for one night before our cruise and were pleased with the hotel and service. The hotel is close to the airport and the port. Both are just a short cab ride away. McDonalds is 100 ft away good for a quick drink or bite to eat, especially when arriving after midnight.

Pros - not far from FLL airport , decent rates, luxury bed and amenities, good breakfast. Great staff and service, neat and clean and well maintained. Nearby - lot of food joints and almost 20+ shops and a attached 24x7 McDonalds ( in case you are a burger fan)

Clean Quiet and comfortable. Internet VERY slow. One of the quietest under window AC I ever met. Accurate thermostat. Mildew free AC, a rarity in Florida. Would stay again. Breakfast acceptable for free. Waffle maker, carbs, eggs, side meat and very good coffee.

We stayed here pre and post cruise. The price was right, and it fitted our needs. Soft pillow to rest your head, filling breakfast in the morning, and friendly staff. It won't knock your socks off, but that wasn't what we were looking for! We would stay here again.

I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel during a business trip after a long hard day work in a Boatyard I arrived at the hotel to be greeted by a very happy bubbly friendly stuff who were gracious and helpful the hotel room was very very clean and very pleasant the breakfast was awesome and the service was tremendous I can't right this hotel any higher if I could I would I am thrilled to have found this place and we'll use that time again

My family and I stayed here one night pre-cruise. I was only looking for a decent place to lay our heads for the night and I guess this fit the bill. I should've known what I was getting for the price but I was being optimistic. Cons: The room smelled musty and damp but I guess we got used to it. Carpet was a bit worn and dingy looking. Room was also very dark and a little depressing. This may have been due to our location and not being able to open our curtains. We were on the first floor and constantly had people outside our window. Had to keep the curtains closed with a clip because the thick ones didn't draw shut, only the sheers. The noise from outside our room was unbelievably loud. I should've requested another room but decided to suck it up for just one night. I felt like we were in the middle of the lobby. Come to think of it, I think there was a room directly in the lobby. I can't imagine anyone would get rest in that room. Beds were hard, but okay for one night. Shower curtain was too short and barely covered the tub. I don't think it was waterproof either. Bathroom seemed clean, however. There are a few quick options for food within walking distance. We tried the Greek restaurant which was decent. Nice people. Also made a quick trip to the dollar store and Winn Dixie for a few last minute items. Arranged port transfer through hotel which was $8/person. I've read that a taxi is cheaper. They had a 10:30 and 11:30 pickup. Everything went smoothly with that process. They will arrange your post cruise transportation at that time, if needed. We took advantage of the free breakfast, which was limited, but okay. The breakfast area is very small so I made sure to get up very early and avoid the congestion. Pros: Airport shuttle arrived very quickly and driver was very nice. Front desk was friendly. Rate was cheap. Free breakfast. Convenient port transfer. I had reserved a room for one night post-cruise but I canceled it and booked somewhere else. This was just a personal preference as I found the hotel to be a little on the dark and depressing side. It would've been nice to save a few bucks and have the free airport shuttle on the way back, but I just didn't want to stay here again. Just a personal preference.

The hotel is a bit hard to get to as I had to make a u turn based on how the streets are, but once I got settled it was a nice comfy bed, clean room, and friendly staff. Breakfast was nothing special (keep in mind though, it is free) the burrito / egg filler wasn't very tasty (to me) but a good bagel and cream cheese cleansed my pallet and got me ready for the day. ***If you're here for dinner, look up catfish Dewey's. It's a few blocks away and amazing!! No restaurant on site at this hotel, so I'm not deterring you; just offering an incredible suggestion

Decent place next the airport Clean rooms wish there was smoking allowed walking distance to shopping center with a decent bar 200 hundred character minimum is junk, this required minimum needs to be fixed.

We spend 2 nights in this hotel and used it as a transit to the Fort Lauderdale airport. They offer free shuttle service to/from the airport. I had problems to be picked up from the airport once I returned the rental car. The hotel receptionist did not give me clear instruction concerning the place to be picked up. The room is fairly comfortable (we had a king size bed) with frig and microwavw as well as lcd TV. However it smell moisture as carpet is on the floor. Also the bathroom fan is very noisy.

I was satisfied for choosing Best Western. I try to always choose a Best Western because of there cost/ benefits of stay comparison. I feel that I get what I pay for and it is reasonable. I didn't expect a pool, so that was a surprise that I was grateful for, as well as my son.

The staff were efficient and offered a shuttle to the Airport. There was a shopping center within a short walking distance where we went to a Thai Restaurant for dinner. The hotel was new and the rooms were comfortable with nice pillows which seems to be hard to find recently. Rooms were large. The reception area was small but since we took an early flight, we don't know if the eating area was big enough. It was a good price considering the shuttle, etc.

Reception was very helpful in suggesting nearby places to eat as I got in late. It was a great and comfortable overnight stay. My room was clean, and loved having ice available down the hall. I enjoyed the wide variety of their free breakfast and free airport shuttle is a plus!

This was a top tier Best Western Hotel. It is close to the airport and cruise terminal and offer free shuttle to and form the aid port and for a nominal fee to and from the Cruise terminal. Every thing was in working order and their free breakfast was as good as any free breakfast I have had at any other hotel. The entire Hotel staff were professional, friendly and very helpful. Will be back again next time we Cruise out of Fort Lauderdale. It was well worth the money.

I have become a very loyal customer of Best Western in the last 2 years. This stay before and after my cruise @ the hotel just proved that I have not wasted my loyalty. Everything was clean, staff was friendly, pool was wonderful, etc... This is why I stay Best Western. They haven't let me down yet.

Shuttle drivers to and from FLL airport are dependable and professional. Very convenient and does not take long. Quoted reservation amount was less than actual charge and card was charged 3 times. Take with you breakfast was nice feature for early flight. McDonalds next door and shopping center a short walk.

This is a great hotel to overnight pre- or post-cruise! The staff were upbeat, personable and helpful. Check-in was prompt and our invoice was slipped under the door pre-departure. The hotel is small (54 rooms) and was clean. A shuttle to the pier was available for $8 per person one-way. The guest room was comfortable with ample amenities, e.g., iron/ironing board, hair dryer, coffeemaker, mini refrigerator, microwave oven, complimentary breakfast, free internet access, etc. I would not hesitate to book this property again as the room rates were reasonable and the stay was comfortable. Note, this is a three-star property, not a deluxe resort, i.e., basic, clean accommodations at a good price.

We arrived late and staff was very friendly on the night shift. Our room was very roomy and comfortable. Everything was clean but carpet a bit dated. No biggie. Next morning a bit hectic and noisy in the lobby as everyone getting to their shuttles for the cruise. Surprisingly they got us all where we needed to be. Very professional. every time we cruise from ft. laud. we stay here. great german rest. one block away. we'll be back again and again. they have transfers to and from ft. laud. airport and the cruise port as well. thereis a large shoppinf center also a block away

Adjacent to fast food spots and strip mall featuring a Dollar Store and Winn-Dixie, open until 11pm. Handy for buying things you didn't remember to pack, but can't live without for a week or so. Complimentary breakfast is surprisingly good.

Stayed at the Ft Lauderdale Best Western in April. Very close to both the airport and cruise port. It's a busy place, so be sure to reserve. Rooms were clean and the morning (free) breakfast was pretty good, with hot meal choices. Staff were friendly, and helped us with the procedure to book the cruise port shuttle. The hotel has a shuttle that is free from the airport, but if you need a ride to the cruise port you will have to make a reservation, and pay for the service (no free cruise shuttle). Next door to the hotel are a couple of fast food joints, and next to that is an outside mall, with a pub that serves really good food. It's only a one block walk away.

My wife and I booked a 10 day Caribbean cruise on Celebrity Equinox in January 2015 for March 25th - April 4th, 2016. A bit of poor planning on our part as it was March Break and Easter weekend. I booked 3 non-smoking rooms at the Best Western Fort Lauderdale Airport/Cruiseport for our group. The rate I booked was CAA/AAA for $135.15 US/night. Closer to the cruise the same room was $210.00 US when I checked. I also monitored Priceline, Hotwire, Expedia and a number of other hotel sites and no last minute bargains to be had. Lesson learned no more cruises during March Break especially if Easter is tied into it. On the website it indicated that they provided free shuttle service from the airport. They also offered transportation to Port Everglades for $8.00/person which needed to be reserved at check-in. Make sure to book it as soon as you get there for a better chance of getting the time you require. I called a week before our arrival date to confirm our reservation. At that time I asked if there was a courtesy phone to call the hotel or a desk at the airport to go to upon arrival. I was informed that we would have to call the hotel and they would send the shuttle which would take 15-20 minutes. Upon arriving at the Fort Lauderdale airport my wife called the hotel while we were waiting for our luggage. The hotel patched her directly to the driver. He informed her to walk outside to hotel pick up area. We received our luggage, made our way outside and walked down to to the sign that indicated hotel pick up. It was about 15 minutes when we seen a van with the Best Western logo. We waived and he pulled over. When he met us at the back of the van he confirmed which Best Western we were going to as there are a number of them. He confirmed he was the driver for our hotel. He welcomed us to Fort Lauderdale and loaded our luggage for us. He advised that we would be stopping at a few other pick up points to see if there are any guests. There was no-one else waiting so we had the van to ourselves. It was about a 15 minute ride. When we pulled in one of our group was standing at the entrance waiting for us. It was about 11:30 a.m. so when we checked in we were told our room would not be ready until at least 1:00 p.m. The female reception employee said they could store our luggage until our room was ready. Our friend said we could just leave it in their room. The female reception employee said she would put all of our rooms in the same area. After taking the luggage up to our friends room, we made our way out to the pool area. It was really quite nice with lounge chairs and tables and chairs. There was some shady areas. There is a McDonald's restaurant right next door. The Southland Shopping Center was just on the other side of the McDonald"s. There is a Winn Dixie, Bealls Outlet, Biglots, Dollar Tree, Barber Shop, Liqour Store, a Latin Cafe, Slackers Bar and Grill, Wendy's, Thai restaurant and other stores. It was very convenient to pick up last minute needs. Winn Dixie had the best deals on liqour. Across from the mall is the Old Heidelberg restaurant which we experienced our first night. It was excellent. We were able to get into our room around 2:00 p.m. I had gone to the Shopping Center and picked up some refreshments, snacks, a couple of travel mugs for the cruise, and a few other items. We continued to enjoy the beautiful weather around the pool while we waited for our third couple to arrive. We were in room 212. The room was clean, it was a good size and had a fridge. Our view was of the McDonald's. The bed was comfortable. There plenty of towels. The room rate included a breakfast. On the main floor across from the reception was the breakfast area. The selection of hot items changed daily. There was eggs, bacon, pancakes, waffles, boiled eggs, toast, bagels, cold cereal, pastries, fruit, juice, oatmeal, coffee and tea. A decent assortment. Close to the elevators was a single desk with a computer and printer for use of the guests. There was free WiFi for guests, the quality was pretty good. All of the staff acknowledge you in passing. They are extremely friendly and hard working. I apologize for not remembering the names but the female on reception was there every day during our stay and was very accommodating and helpful. She provided advice on the Water Taxi and had a coupon for us. Her information was very helpful. I observed our driver cleaning garbage cans, washing windows and doing some other tasks. They all work hard to keep this hotel in good repair. It is a very busy hotel. If we are back in the area I would definitely stay here again.

Great location to airport and cruise port. Beautiful pool area and comfy spacious rooms. Breakfast was typical continental breakfast but we knew that going in. Service was excellent. I would definitely stay here again! A little pricy but included airport shuttle and was comparable to other hotels in the area price wise.

Great place to stay, we were there just overnight but it was very good. the staff were very friendly and helpful with our continuing trip. They picked us up at the fort. Lauderdale airport for free and were able to help us to find transportation to Port of Miami with a affordable fee.

Zero problem stay. I got picked up from the airport within 10 minutes - during a thunderstorm that had the airport at a stand still. Checked in in less than 5 minutes. There are places to eat next door and a plentiful free breakfast. Nice pool too. Hotel and rooms are clean. All good.

I enjoyed my stay at this Best Western the first time I stayed there in March so in May when I needed to be at Ft Lauderdale I went back to the same Best Western. The breakfast was appetizing with a great variety of items such as scramble eggs, sausages, toast, bagels, pancakes, waffles and yogurt. To drink there were choices of juices, coffee, hot chocolate, and tea. All the employees were very attentive and pleasant.

I checked out around 12 noon, the hotel is very busy during this time. In the lobby at the front desk and throughout the lobby the maintenance man was mopping the floor. It was very wet and soapy and extremely slippery. Why is this being done during a very busy time of the day. I almost slipped and broke my head open on the floor. My friend had to catch me. I even saw other people slipping and almost falling down. This mopping needs to be done at a slower time of the day or night, not during the busiest time of the morning.

We have stayed at many BW and always find the staff and hotel to our liking. They may not all be new and beautiful but they sure are nice and clean and just what the average person needs for a great place to stay when they are traveling.

front desk people are very rude and not willing to help at all,also we stayed 4 nights and 3 nights of that we didnt have a room service,wash room wasnt work properly and when i ask they said all rooms has the same,also the most uncomfortable bed we had because we could feel the springs on the bed and i ask more blanckets to cover it,they gave my 3 but still not coomfotable at all so if i have a bed like that i probebly give it to dump, i ask them about it and they said they are from china and all room has th same, when i got back to vancouver and call them about all the problems they said i had to leave and go to another hotel(such a good customer service) by the way it was my first time in miami and i didnt know anything about that place and no time to look for other place soooooooooo bad experiance,never back there

I was very pleased with this hotel. it was clean and near the airport which is where me and my husband for a flight our of Ft. Lauderdale the next morning. The front desk was helpful. Parking was very easy. And it was not far from the main attraction, Ft Lauderdale Beach. We would definitely stay again :)

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very nice and they have a great pool use as well. The location of the facility is great it is next to a little plaza with food and shopping, making your stay even nicer.

Stayed at Best Western Fort Lauderdale Airport / Cruise Port from Sunday 24th April until Friday 29th April. I must say I was pleased with room very clean and tidy. Complimentary breakfast and the convenience of stores nearby was a plus. Also like to highlight ERICA she was really helpful, made me and my friends feel at home "Package!". All in all it was time well spent. Thank You ERICA!

WE are currently staying at the Best Western Fort Lauderdale Airport/Cruise Port and have had an excellent experience, with one exception: the complimentary shuttle from the airport. We called the hotel twice, and twice we were told that the shuttle would arrive in 10-15 minutes. Neither time did the shuttle appear. We finally had an airport employee assist us. The total wait time in rather warm and humid Fort Lauderdale: nearly an hour. Once we arrived at the hotel: smooth sailing! Beautiful room, comfortable king bed and very good breakfast with fellow pre-cruisers.

This hotel was a really good selection for our late night flight arrival before a transatlantic cruise beginning the next day. Warm welcome, room was perfect, and rapid confirmation onto the separate cruise port shuttle the next day. Although extremely crowded, the staff was wonderful and handled the large volume of guests expertly. Morning free breakfast was quite good and even though we were only on the property 11 hours, everything we needed was fulfilled.

I am not inclined to fill these reviews with negatives, but management needs to do some better work to improve the service provided. For a BW, I found it disappointing. From the Airport, where we were unable to find a way to call the hotel [curse the lack of pay phones/hot line call ins] to arrange for a shuttle to pick us up. So we paid the $20 for a cab... The clerk on duty could not have cared if we checked in or walked out...he was not surly, but just didn't show any life or concern to welcome me as a guest. The room was adequate [this is our third - and probably last] visit to this BW. The breakfast the next morning was also fine, nothing wrong with it...my concern is the attitude which seemed pervasive through all the staff in the place...it was an odd feeling I don't often get in motels - especially one like this which caters to the pre-cruise crowd.

Used this Hotel for a two night pre cruise layover, having travelled from the UK, England. Check in swift and smooth after using the complimentary shuttle service from the airport. The room had a King sized bed, en-suite facilities, with nice seating area with fridge, microwave, Breakfast was complimentary and excellent, once again the staff were very friendly and happy to offer any help and assistance. The hotel had a small pool which had high quality pool side seating provided. Near to the hotel is a 24/7 McDonald's and a small shopping complex. which has a number of outlets selling clothing, a supermarket and a number of eating options, Wendy's, Asian Restaurants, Dunkin Donuts and a great bar called Slackers Bar. Hotel also arranged for transportation to the Cruise port for $8 per person. All in all well worth visiting, we will use again.

On Saturday, March 26, 2016, my wife and I flew from San Francisco to Fort Lauderdale for a three-week cruise to Spain, arriving at the Fort Lauderdale airport about 11 PM. It took about 45 minutes to wait for the shuttle and get to the Best Western Fort Lauderdale Airport/Cruise Port. When we arrived, we gave our name to the night clerk, and he looked up our reservation. Then he told us that our reservation was cancelled by the hotel because of a credit card problem. We knew nothing about the cancellation or credit card problem, since we were not telephoned, emailed, or otherwise notified. He also told us that the motel was full that night, and no rooms are available. Tired and hungry (we are both diabetics and had no meal since breakfast that morning), we could hardly believe what he was saying. We assumed this must be a mistake. We made the reservation months ago, we had a reservation confirmation number (670344572), and we received an email titled "We Look Forward to Your Arrival" a few days before we left home. The credit card we used while making the reservation was, ironically, a Best Western MasterCharge from First Bankcard, with less than $500 in active charges and a $15,500 credit limit. We have used it dozens of times to stay at Best Western motels, Before we left home, we contacted First Bankcard to give them the locations where we might be using the card during our cruise. By the way, we also possess a Best Western travel rewards card at the Diamond level, with over 50,000 points currently on the account, and we have a FICO score of almost 800. At this time, our only alternative appeared to be to go back to the airport with our luggage and find some chairs to sleep on in the terminal. The night clerk then started to make some phone calls and after about 15 minutes, he found a vacant room at another motel across the street. We took that room and stayed there the rest of the night. What a fustrating experience! Actually, we were giving the Fort Lauderdale Airport/Cruise Port motel a second chance. On a previous stay last year, we waited outside the airport terminal for almost two hours for a shuttle at the hotel pickup location, making at least five phone calls to the front desk (each more angry), and finally had to take a taxi to the hotel. The motel manager reimbursed us the $25 taxi fare the next morning, but he did not seem concerned about the poor customer service. One other recent incident with Best Western. While checking into a Best Western motel in Fernley, Nevada, we used points for the room, and the clerk pointed to a rubber-stamped notice on our receipt. The notice said the motel only received $30 reimbursement and requested an additional amount from us to make up the difference. Of course, I put a zero down, but the whole thing seemed very unprofessional. Obviously, we will never stay again at the Best Western Fort Lauderdale Airport/Cruise Port. Our long waits at the airport hotel shuttle landing showed us the many different motel brands (Sheraton, Courtyard, Holiday Inn Express, Hampton Inn, etc.) that serve the Fort Lauderdale airport and how much better they provide shuttle service, a key reason to stay at a local motel near the airport and cruise port. We have had many enjoyable stays at Best Western properties, but these incidents greatly diminish our trust in the Best Western brand. They have lost a good customer: we will spend our money for lodging elsewhere in the future.

This was better than what I expected considering it was a last minute plan. The room was nice and clean and the bathroom was very nice. They had complimentary breakfast and shuttle service that was available 24 hours. Exceeded my expectations for Best Western. I would stay at this particular hotel again.

I stayed here so we'd be close to the airport for our departure the next day. We were just looking for a place to crash and this was fine. I liked their breakfast sausages. There is also a German restaurant about 3 blocks away.

Close to port and airport. Next door is a McDonalds. Rooms are clean. Not recommended for a vacation place. You can drive to the restaurants, beach and shops . They cater to the pre and post cruisers and flyers. We had to catch a plane at 7am. and it was great for that. Thats about it.

We visited Florida from Ca for our first time so had no clue about area or your hotel. We trusted the pictures online to decide to rent your hotel room but to our astonishment, we were disappointed and surprised that the pictures of where hotel was located was not what showed on the website! We were told by our car rental agency that the pics were of your hotel on the beach mins away from your 84 state st location. But reason we still gave 7-8 rating for this location was for the money we spent around $94 for one night then going rate for hotels in the area; the room and service was great but do suggest you guys use different pics for your different locations so people like us who are new to the area don't get misrepresented! If you are looking for a basic, reasonably priced hotel that is very clean, with comfortable beds and well appointed rooms, nicely kept grounds, this is the hotel for you. Well positioned from the Airport and Cruise Port and next to a fairly good shopping mall in case you have forgotten any thing. This is for you. The only complaint we could had for our 4 night stay, but not really a complaint; at breakfast the waffle machine was not working.

Best Western is the best place to stay when you are going on a cruise. They make sure you get to the port on time and back to the hotel after the cruise. They also provide transportation to the airport which is a major plus for me and my family.

Erica from the front desk went above and beyond for device. She offered to see what she had from the continental breakfast because we just arrived to the hotel and missed breakfast. Answered all our questions and was very helpful. Our shuttle drive Jamie was very helpful as well and went above and beyond to help us with our luggage. Jamie helped get our lock off the luggage because I forgot the key at home. The staff was ver kind. The hotel and rooms very clean including the pool. Excellent location for shopping next door with restaurants. We will definitely be staying there again.

Hotel was very clean, nice amenities, friendly staff. However, the transportation company they partner with are less than honest. They sell you a round trip transportation to cruise port for $60, and then the hotel tries to charge an additional $32 to go to the port.

We had two cruises booked so stayed here pre, mid and post cruises. The first night we were told that the thermostat control was on the wall. It wasn't. Instead you controlled via the air conditioner itself. The second time we just assumed that even though there was a sign that we would control the air conditioner at the site instead of looking all over for one on the wall. The third time we were greeted at our Diamond status, nor were we offered a "goodie bag" but we did get the largest room available. I just wish there were more pillow options than feathers. They do cover part of the cost for a shuttle to the port ($8 per person for the shuttle) but you have to pay the full $15 per person for the return trip. We also used their free airport shuttle. They provide a map of the local area with several restaurants identified that are within walking distance.

I checked places near the airport and this was priced most decently. I was nicely surprised at the appearance and cleanliness of the rooms. Pool area was average. Breakfast was average but eggs and sausage were offered beyond cold options. Free airport shuttle service made it lovely!

Rooms are clean with basic amenities, but very dated. Beds are comfortable, rooms are fairly quiet, but can definitely hear through the walls. Breakfast is very basic, but fresh. While it is not very close to an amenities, it is good for pre or post cruise stay. Hotel charges $8 per person for ride to cruise ship terminal

Nothing too remarkable about this location - it was good value, a good location (close to the cruise port) and had an adequate breakfast (although the breakfast room was overflowing with cruisers on the morning we were there...on Dec. 20, 2015...no surprise there!) We were even given a goody bag with chips and bottles of water when we arrived late in the evening - that was really appreciated! The shuttle service to the port was efficient and staff (of the hotel and the shuttle service) were friendly and helpful.

Not to bad for the location and the pricing. The night before my flight I always look for the convenience of a hotel near the airport. This hotel was for convenience only. Easy hotel parking but no free breakfast.

When first walking in the room had a very strong smell of cleaners! We were told that all the rooms had just been cleaned and would smell the same. We got woke up at 1:40am by prank calls. Maybe they need a makeover!

On recent trip to the Florida Keys, stayed at this hotel for the one night before a mid morning flight home. Our basis for staying was free airport shuttle. Surprised by a well decorated room and very comfortable beds. Friendly staff, free breakfast and of course free shuttle to airport. Please note it appears that cruiseport shuttle is not free. The location is great. Short walk to a small strip center with several restaurants, a good german restaurant across the highway (easy cross at traffic light), and two fast food establishments. We would stay here again for a night before or after a flight.

Outrageous Price Gouging. First of all this hotel is an $89 a night at best. My rate went from $149 on the first night to $199 on for night 2 to $269 on night 3. You be the judge. I am a platinum member that obviously means nothing. Room are not bad but need updates.

This is a very good small hotel. They seem to do everything right. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. We were only there overnight so didn't have time to check out the pool. We had to leave early to catch a flight but the free breakfast was ready for us at 6:00am as advertised. The little buffet had scrambled eggs, sausage, make your own waffles(?), a few cereals, oranges, yogurt, toast, bagels and commercial muffins & danish.

We were very pleased with this hotel. The staff was very helpful and welcoming. It was in a very good location and we felt very safe. The pool was nice and the room was clean and well kept. Would definitely come back.

Hotel staff was extremely pleasant and accommodating. They were well informed on the procedures for getting to/from the port which made the process less stressful for passengers cruising for the first time. Breakfast included hot and cold items, however, the seating was limited. Outstanding location - very close to both the airport and port for cruises.

Great place to stay the evening before our cruise. Complimentary shuttle from the airport and a shuttle readily available to the cruise port which we used for after the cruise too. Lower priced than most in the area. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

Truth be told, we chose this hotel based on price, as it was the least expensive, that appeared clean, that wasn't too far from Port Everglades. Lobby is small, but very clean and the staff is friendly. Breakfast was better than expected! We thought it was going to be cold cereal and danish, but they also had eggs, waffles and breakfast sausage. Our room was on the 2nd floor, very clean and fresh, bathroom appeared to be newly renovated. Air conditioning worked great! Close walk to restaurants and stores for any last minute necessities. Shuttle drivers very friendly, not too long of a wait at the airport when we arrived. Very organized shuttle service to the pier.

We stayed one night in this Best Western, to be closer to the airport for any early morning flight. It was a great location with easy access to places we were going, in particular easy travel access to the BB&T Center in Sunrise for a concert.

We stayed at this location one night pre cruise. The air port shuttle was free and arrived fairly quickly. The check in was fast and the staff friendly. The room was clean and quiet. Breakfast was good with some hot foods. They provided a shuttle to the cruise port for a nominal fee. And we were able to get a ticket on the same service to be picked up after the cruise for a ride to the airport.

Flew into FLL. The free shuttle stop is to the right when exiting the terminal and down toward a sign on an island. We called for the shuttle and told it would be about 20 mins. but it must have been on its way from another trip because it showed up as we hung up. The front desk (night) was not very energetic or enthusiastic and we were advised that we could not have the king bed room we reserved since BW does not "reserve particular rooms"(?) The two queen beds worked out. Anyway, the day desk was very pleasant and informed. The complimentary breakfast was surprisingly good. The location is not very good - there is not much to do in the area. A strip mall is next door and other chain hotels are in the area. You can walk to the Secret Woods Nature Center up 84 which is a little hard to spot but anything else and you'll need a ride. We took a bus everywhere. We were there for two nights and had no complaints. Agree with other reviewers that as a place to crash waiting for the next leg of your journey, it's okay.

I booked this stay using my points, however when i checked out i was charged for the nights stay as well. When i noticed the charge on my credit card i contacted the Hotel directly and i was told to speak with Alejandro and that he would contact me the following day as he was not in. 4 days went by with no phone call so I called Alejandro and he advised a refund was sent to my credit card and i should see the reversal in about 5 days. Unfortunately, it has been 2 weeks since and the charge has not been reversed and i have left several messages with Alejandro of which he has yet to return a phone call. Also, upon checking in we had requested early check in after our cruise, i understand that it is a very busy day for hotels, and when a room was not available for immediate check in i put my name on a "list" for a phone call when one was ready. We left our bags and spent the day In Fort Lauderdale finally returning at 6PM to check in. During that time we did not receive a call to let us know a room was ready and all the bags that had previously been stored away were all gone. Overall, poor experience with this hotel. It is unfortunate that i now have to advise my credit card company of a disputed transaction. I certainly will not be staying at this hotel again.

We stayed here last night. We took the complimentary shuttle from the hotel (we called when we got our bags). We were checked in by 1 pm. The king rooms weren't ready, so we took queen. We walked to a nearby strip mall for lunch and walked 1/4 mile to dinner. Not a lot of restaurant selections nearby, but we were fine and enjoyed both restaurants. The room was clean, but it could use some updating. The shower was amazing, with lots of hot water. The front desk staff, Cesar, was informative and helpful with checking us in and booking our shuttle to the port ($8 per person)

We were looking forward to staying at this property, having made a reservation 5 months in advance. When we arrived at the airport I called to find out what time their shuttle would pick us up, they said they "overbooked" and cancelled our reservation claiming they had the wrong credit card on file. Not only that, the rude front desk person refused to try and re-book us at an area BW. They claimed to have tried to reach me by phone. Yet, once we landed there was no message asking me to call them back. Hmmm. I'm a Platinum BW member and yet this is the service I received from this property?! Folks, you have a choice where you stay in the Fort Lauderdale area. Take my advice and stay down the road at the BW airport south for a few bucks more. You get the very same services, without the chance of the property "overbooking" the day you arrive and arbitrarily canceling your reservation made months in advance.

It's not like I need my butt kissed, but at least smile. The front desk lady was disinterested in courtesy. She said she can't look up my rewards number by email. Every other Best Western can. She just didn't want to. The wifi doesn't work. She said she reset it, but it is still down. It comments, but no internet. Sorry, but that is enough to make me never want to return these days. Room is clean. Close to airport and cruise port ($8 shuttle per person for a two mile ride. She said cabs were $20 which I doubt.) Good strip mall across the street with good shopping, a sports bar and some nice restaurant choices, as well ad department stores, etc.

It is very handy to stay there when going on a cruise as it is quite close to the airport and cruise lines. the hotel is very clean and the beds are very comfortable and the rooms are kept very tidy. We will stay again before flying home at the end of our vacation.

The staff was friendly, helpful and courteous. Decor is a bit odd (red walls?) and the location doesn't seem to be central to anything. But we arrived quite late so didn't get to look around much. They had a nice shuttle (nominal fee) service and offered a courtesy place to hang out waiting for your flights or cruise. Breakfast was pretty good. Did not use the pool or anything. Price was reasonable.

Great location before going on a cruise. Great restaurants close by to walk to: Old Heidelberg & Slackers. Also to stock up before our cruise is a grocery store and liquor store. We enjoyed the pool too.

Very nice breakfast. Good price for the night, quick shuttle from FLL airport and it was clean and taken care of. Would not hesitate for an instant to stay there again. We ended up cruising out of Miami and flew into FLL since it was cheaper. It was very convenient and easy to do that and I am currently planning a similar trip in the future.

Overpriced for the age of the hotel. It was okay otherwise. Not many movies to watch. Breakfast was average. Shuttle from the airport wasn't clearly marked from the luggage arrivals check with hotel prior to your arrival.

Not bad good, for a one night stay to go to port. Plus they provide complimentary breakfast, free airport shuttle and $8 port trip per person to port and from port back to airport on day of return. I would recommend this hotel to others close to port

I have stayed there a number of time and found the staff professional, helpful and friendly. It's very convenient if staying over between flights and cruises. The shuttle service is an asset. Internet service is available for printing those boarding passes. The breakfast offers an good assortment of different breakfast for all customers.

Stayed here before our cruise. The rooms were large and clean. Hotel shuttle bus from airport very unreliable though. We were given 4 differing times that we would be picked up and waited over an hour. Had we known we would have taken a taxi. There is only one restaurant within walking distance and no where to eat dinner in the hotel although there was a complimentary breakfast.

Wonderfully maintained property, with Ms Erica at the front desk, ALWAYS, having a smile on her face, and doing whatever to make our/your stay the most pleasant. Most certainly going to stay there again next year Nice little bar and grill (SLACKERS) situated in the strip mall just next to the property. Great food, and very well managed.

Stay at the BW in January for 1 night before boarding our cruise ship. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. No Starbucks close by, but we found a great Cuban coffeehouse next door. Good stay. Reasonable rates. Would stay there again.

I have stayed at this hotel a few times and each time the staff has helped to make my trip a memorable one. Special thanks to Edwin, the over night Manager. Warm, friendly and helpful. Hotel is neat, clean, offers many amenities from a great free breakfast to the pick-up and delivery to both airports and the cruise ships .

This is the worst Best Western at which I've stayed. On days on which the cruise ships leave the port, they raise their rates outrageously. Shuttle to cruise ship was not as promised (could not accomodate our group) and late.

Close to Airport. Staff was great very polite and professional. Rooms are Clean and tidy. Breakfast had a nice assortment and fresh. i would defiantly recommend this hotel. Best western is a great place for the Value. comparison to the competition.

Hotel has a great location very close to the port. Friendly, helpful staff. We have been staying here for years when cruising out of Ft Lauderdale. Have tried other hotels in the area, they were not as nice.

Location, location, location. This hotel is next to two fast food restaurants and a great bar/restaurant where we ate. It was great food and a good atmosphere. There is a strip mall with a spa where you can get a pedicure/manicure if you did not have time at home and a grocery store to pick up anything you forgot or water for the trip. The breakfast at the hotel was very good but a little crowded. Check out how much a taxi is from the pier because the shuttle they use charges double what the hotel does to take you to the port.

This is the second time we have stayed at this property the night before embarking on a cruise out of Port Everglades. The property hasn't changed any in the three years since we were last here, as far as I can tell. The hotel shuttle, which is complimentary, picked us up at the airport and we were at the hotel by 11:15 am, due to our early morning flight from Canada. The small lobby was jammed with guests who had checked out and were presumably waiting for their transfer to either the Cruiseport ($8.00) or the airport. When we finally squeezed our way to the front desk, we were told we would have to wait until 1 pm for a room to be available. Not good news since we had been up since 2 am Florida time. We went out by the pool and used the free WiFi to pass the time. We were able to check in as promised at 1 pm. The room was the same as three years ago - dark and tired looking but everything worked and the bed was comfortable. Had a fairly good night and enjoyed the free hot breakfast in the morning. The staff seem anxious to please and make the best of what they have to work with. In summary, this is an acceptable location for a one night pre-cruise stay, and is more reasonably priced than some of the competition.

We stay at this hotel every time we cruise out of Fort Lauderdale. The rooms are large and clean. The staff is great. The plaza next door has everything you need, groceries, restaurant/bar, etc. There is a great German Restaurant across the street from the plaza too.

Other than the numerous phone calls to get my Air Conditioning fixed, it was a very pleasant stay. The front desk employees (Erica, Ana & Teddy) were all very pleasant & helpful. The location is very convenient to the FLL airport & other places.

Very helpful, clean roomy rooms, next to shopping and cruise ship ports. access to shuttles and taxi, near car rental lots and highways. Would recommend this hotel, plan to return, on our next Florida trip.

If you are in need of a short stay hotel near the airport or cruise port in the Ft. Lauderdale area, this is a good choice. Rooms are generous in size, they have reliable wifi with a computer plus printer, and the breakfast was above average for hotel breakfasts.

Stayed at this hotel on Jan 22d prior to a cruise the next day. Hotel was very clean, had good wifi, and Erika at the front desk was great. Bubbly personality and answered all your questions. Is next to a strip mall where you can have a meal and purchase last items for your cruise. Offered free shuttle from the airport and arranged shuttle service to the port for $8.00 per person. Had a continental breakfast so you wouldn't starve. I will be staying at this facility my next time for a cruise at Port Lauderdale.

very nice hotel and the woman working the front desk when i checked out is the best. i really like this hotel, its clean and the area is ok. the breakfast is ok, good coffee and food selection. its great if your in a hurry and just want to fill up quick and get out side to do whatever or rush to the airport for your flight.

We had a cruise flights, private transfers, and hotel, ( Best Western Fort Lauderdale,1221 W State Road 84 Fort Lauderdale, Florida, 33315-2349, US) booked through our travel agent After flight problems which meant a lot more travelling we arrived at Miami airport 08 Jan, and was met by our transfer, handed him the documentation and he took us to the hotel, around 6pm, the two of us been awake for 48 hours. We went to check in to be told no reservation had been made, after confirming it was the correct hotel we were forced to pay again for a night's stay as we needed to sleep. On our return I contacted them who later got back to us, saying ''Unfortunately, we did not find a reservation under your name in our system; some third party bookings do not link to our system to be viewed''. I may add we had a very enjoyable stay but this caused unnecessary stress after a long journey. very nice breakfast after a badly needed rest

Overall, a very nice stay. We stayed one night before our cruise and one night after. Both times were satisfactory. First floor is considerably noisier than the second floor. Staff is very pleasant. Our second floor room on the second stay was HUGE! Room was clean as was the bathroom. We will stay here in the future when we are in Ft Lauderdale. Stayed across the highway last year at the Holiday Inn and it was $50 more per night than the Best Western, so it's also a good value.

Clean and comfortable,hasn't changed in a decade.Considering this hotel was fully booked,it badly needs updating. Are for Free breakfast is far too small when hotel is full. Short staffed at night,service desk was harassed and unpleasant

The rooms are clean but the hotel is older which means it wasn't built with the forethought of noise from the halls or outside as heard inside the room. The coffee is awful, but there is a Dunkin Donuts and McDonald's next door.

We arrived at this hotel late in the evening and were greeted courteously and checked in efficiently. The room were were assigned to was attractive and well appointed but had a musty smell to it. We thought this was due to the local high humidity and heat. We asked the housekeeper (Rosa) the next morning to spray some Febreeze to alleviate some of the smell. She immediately went to Erica at the front desk and told her about the smell in the room. Erica urged us to move to the room next to ours and explained that they had had a malfunction with the sprinklers in the room we were in and thought it had been all dried out, but apparently needed more attention. The room the staff helped us move to was identical to the first one, but had no musty smell. The staff were very apologetic and checked back with us later to make sure everything was good with the new room. We would happily stay at this hotel again. The (included) breakfast was very nice and was plentiful. The shuttle to the cruiseport (arranged by the front desk) was only $8.00 per person.

My wife and I arrived late Friday night, we were leaving on a cruise the next morning, after checking in we went back to our room (#120), it smelled like mold and urine, I understand an older hotel in the humid Florida climate would probably have some smell to it but this was ridiculous, after the first 60 seconds we decided there was no way we were sleeping in this room, the desk clerk told us there were no rooms available and said he would talk to the manager in the morning about a refund, then started calling other hotels to find a room (surprise, surprise every hotel in Fort Lauderdale was completely booked), thank God for Dennis the taxi driver who called in a favor and got us a great deal at the Hyatt. The next morning Alejondro from Best Western called to tell us the room smelled fine and would not refund any money. to make a long story short do not stay at Best Western Fort Lauderdale airport....

I stayed here for only one night, but the excellent service I received has caused me to keep their business card handy for my next trip back through Fort Lauderdale. The room was clean and the staff was very helpful. They provided prompt shuttle service from the airport as well as to and from a local restaurant. Erica, Shonda and Mr Kemoy made me feel very comfortable as well as safe. I look forward to staying here again.

we waited at the airport for over 1 hour for complimentary shuttle service after calling three times. the room was fine, but we had booked for early checkin if possible, and even though I believe there was a room available, we did not get in until exactly the 3;00 checkin time, when surprisingly there was more than one room that we could choose from. we were promised a discount for our inconveniences, but did not receive what we were promised.

I have used this same motel three times and have not been disappointed once. They take the stress of being in a strange environment and its location has a large choice of food establishments and product stores within walking distance.

Hi, I stayed at this hotel one night prior to a cruise. The hotel was clean and in a great location. Walking distance to grocery store, McDonalds, and gas station. Free shuttle from the airport and the breakfast served the next Moring was good. Staff was friendly and informative. I would definitely stay at this hotel again

Upgraded since we last stayed here, finally quiet air conditioning! Clean, quiet room. Pool was small and cold, towels were very small and thin, had to ask at the desk. Shuttle to and from airport services several hotels, delays to be expected. The wake up call was 1/2 hour early. Breakfast not bad, eggs and sausage as well as standard light continental fare. Ten minutes to airport, so this is a good option for an early morning flight. Old Heidelberg Restaurant 1/2 mile away worth the trip. We would stay here again.

Clean, breakfast included, non smoking, pool area is good. Staff is awesome. Hubby and I stayed there for two nights and it was a really good experience. The price was good and the rooms where clean and a good size. The wifi is free. A great stay for a good price.

Stayed here one night prior to boarding a cruise. Arrived 11pm no problem with airport shuttle. Room was spacious, clean and quiet the bed was one of the most comfortable I have come across quite a surprise as I am used to finding concrete like beds in hotels now. Breakfast was adequate and shuttle arrangements to cruise terminal were efficient and reasonable priced.(don't think of walking its too far) If you need a brewed coffee in the morning there is a Mcdonalds next door.

This was the most expensive rate for a low quality, dirty place. Customer Service was absent. A repair person was promised to fix the air conditioner. The person never showed up. The night was spent in 80+ degree room temperature. When the front desk was notified, we were bombarded with comments from the clerk. He commented that he had no life and other depressing sad things. I would never recommend this place. I have been in many Best Westerns, but this one took the cake. I can overlook many things, but bad customer service gets no out-of-jail free card. This reflects poorly on all the employees. The morning breakfast was absolutely disgusting. We threw all of our food in the garbage where it belonged. I urgently plead that all future customers avoid this dump! Upon our arrival, our room had the odour of cigarette smoke. We had to wait 2 hours for check in. So, not only was our first room smelling of smoke, our second had no air conditioning. The clerk told us that our second room was the best they had. If that was the best they had, then I cannot imagine what the others rooms looked like.

We booked this hotel for the trip advisor ratings and were not disappointed. The shuttle pick up from the airport was timely (about 10 minutes) the directions to meet the shuttle were perfect. Nice room, efficient check-in and check-out. McDonald's next door. Erica, Watson and Cesar were very helpful. We appreciated the shuttle service, helpful information and breakfast. Stayed prior to a cruise.

We booked in here for the day as our flight wasn't till 11 pm room was large clean and comfortable with a good tv. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Microwave and fridge in the room and free shuttle to the airport. We would definitely stay again .

My stay was extremely unsatisfactory, room was never cleaned during stay, never received fresh towels, ac never worked, checked out at 4 am on check out day because we could not tolerate the sweating and uncomfortable heat. The staff was rude and the manger was even more rude. The manager did nothing to resolve any of the issues

This is the second time staying here before a cruise.The staff was friendly and helpful. Check in was easy, after check in the staff gave a paper to place on our dashboard and informed where to park for our 10 day cruise. They have some changes from our last stay, changes to the good. They upgraded the breakfast area and bar .We arrived about 4:00pm, after getting settled in, we to the sports bar for a drink before dinner. We stayed in the bar for dinner, good choice. I had a great hamburger, my wife had a Philly steak and loved it. Kudos to the chef. The free shuttle arrived at 9:30 the next morning and we were at the cruise port before 10:00. At check-in, the front desk gave us a phone number to call to be picked up after the cruise. The shuttle arrived in 15 mins. From the time we left the ship, unloaded our luggage and loaded our car, we were on our way home in 30 mins. When we sail out of Ft. Lauderdale again, we will be staying at the Best Western for sure.

I read the hotel description and it said it was a new hotel, if that's so then someone better check because that's not what it is ! Arrived today to 2 large buckets in the lobby catching dripping water from the ceiling, waited half an hour to check in because there was only 1 person at reception. Got off the elevator to carpets that were filthy, the room is outdated with beaten up furniture that has been touched up with a marker countless times. Carpets in room are also filthy, won't take my shoes off. Worst thing for me is the smell of dampness in the room. Spent 45 minutes on the phone with Best Western Customer Service, even they couldn't do anything. Looking for another hotel to move to, don't care that I will lose the money spent on this "Hotel" If you are ok with a 1 star rating for a hotel then this will be fine, otherwise steer clear !

Stayed here for two days before leaving for a cruise. People were very friendly, hotel itself was In a great spot, minutes from cruise port and walking distance to a supermarket, Dunkin Donuts(if that's your thing) and several places to eat, and the free breakfast was not bad. There was an issue with the shuttle from the airport to the hotel, it never showed and I was told to take a cab by the front desk. The price of the shuttle was deducted from the room cost, and the woman I spoke with at check in could not have been nicer about what happened. I didn't need the shuttle back to the airport but there is one available if you need it. They also have a shuttle to the cruise port for $8.00. The times are 10:30 and 11:30 am and you just need to sign up at the front desk. The hotel is on the main drag /highway but there are sidewalks if you feel the need to walk/wander. The pool area was clean and inviting and the room I had was very clean with a small dorm size fridge and microwave. There are also a few restaurants that deliver so you won't need to go out if you don't feel like it. All in all I had a nice stay and will definitely go back again next time I sail out of Ft. Lauderdale.

This hotel was our overnight before getting on a cruise ship. The hotel staff were friendly, the hotel was decent and the breakfast was expected continental fair. No problems with the hotel, but the neighborhood was sketchy. Walked to the grocery store when it opened at 7:00 only to encounter a man on the pool deck with his hand in his pants. The staff called the police promptly, but there were plenty of strange people hanging about. I wouldn't walk this area again.

very nice hotel, clean a good location. shopping center adjacent to property with good restaurants and some shopping. hotel staff were great and internet was really good and free. beds were very comfortable and bathroom was clean and up to date.
