Best Western Pier Point Inn

The graveyard shift front desk employee, Jennifer, was fantastic! I was in Oregon on business and had booked my room earlier in the day, I wasn't able to get to the hotel to check in until after 1am, most hotels would just cancel your reservation or give your room away after midnight. But I called ahead and Jennifer made sure that didn't happen, and after a very long work day she made sure I had a nice comfy bed to sleep in. Jennifer is the best! I would definitely stay here again if I'm ever in the area. All hotel staff that I had interactions with were kind and courteous, all were extremely helpful and went above and beyond wherever they could, Jennifer in particular. Also, the room was shockingly nice, it was a nice surprise because the hotel is a pretty old building.

Our family really liked this hotel. It's old but has nice views across the river to old town Florence. They have a pool and a couple of hot tubs (all indoors) and a decent included breakfast. The hotel is on Highway 101 and after you pass old town Florence, you cross a bridge and the hotel is on your left. If you're so inclined, a 10m walk across the bridge puts you in charming old town Florence. Service was excellent. Don't miss the dunes. If you drive another 3-5m south on Highway 101, you can access the park on the right. Climb up the dunes and you'll have a great view of the Pacific Ocean.

This place is amazing. It's tucked away at the end of the bridge in Florence and overlooks the Siuslaw River. The amenities are great like the indoor pool and hot tub which also overlooks the river! The breakfast is insane. It's continental and has an included made to order omelette bar!

Room was well worn. But also maintenance issues like light bulbs needing replacing and empty shampoo container. On the Plus side the staff at the front was friendly and the breakfast was well above average for this type of accomodation. I appreciate that they take pets but as usual with a pet you seem to get stuck with the poor room. Thankfully no stinky carpets.

super clean! fantastic staff! have stayed here before and will stay again. they helped us get rooms next to each other, very nice people here! the Oregon coast is just beautiful! this property looks over the Florence harbor and Old Town.

Poor customer service by staff. Domestic dispute in guest room next door that was handled horribly by hotel staff. Had to change rooms at 11pm because of potential threats to family including a 3 year old.

We loved it. Beautiful clean room, comfortable bed and pillows, spotless bathroom and a great view to top it off. Had a great swim in the pool after a long day in the car. Breakfast was very good with a lot of choices. I would highly recommend The Pier Point Inn.

We had an excellent time in this hotel. Great location, clean rooms and very helpful staff. We stayed with our puppies and everything was great. Very close of many attractions and Florence have a lot to offer in restaurants close to the hotel.

Very friendly staff. Wonderful view of river from most rooms and indoor pool. Sean makes an excellent yummy omelet to start your day! Rooms were clean and beds comfy. Teresa was very helpful at the front desk with updating room/stay data. Florence is a beautiful city. Hope to come again!!

This is a wonderful property. It has some age but we keep coming back because of the staff, the pool and hot tub, and the view of the river. They serve a made to order breakfast that was delicious! My grandkids live this hotel!

Paid $250 for a room that cost double what surrounding hotels were yet got a room much smaller than a normal BW room and with no view of the river. Never again this location. Just two people in the room yet we had a little trouble getting round each other. Cramped! For $250 low season on a week day I expect at least a normal hotel room if not one with a view.

Made a reservation- had confusion numbers, an email the day before stating “see you tomorrow” and showed up to have no room, and me no where in the system to be found. No accountability or responsibility taken by the hotel or it's admin office and I was given a list of hotels in the area and told “good luck” at 10pm on a Friday night.

We had a two queen balcony view room. The room had a nice view of the river, bridge, and Florence itself. It also had an extra sink outside of the bathroom which was nice, even though it was slow to drain. They had a good breakfast with omelets to order. Internet speed was 10.2 mbps download, 0.99 mbps upload, and 41 ms latency. It had a nice indoor pool area. However the bathroom was small. The toilet was very small, and featured an undersized seat. It was better suited for potty training a small child than for use by an adult. The shower head and valve were both worn out. The bathroom smelt bad. There is no elevator or AC. The two queen bedroom only had one nightstand. Our room key stopped working twice.

If you like stairs, this is the place to go. The hallways are designed in a maze with stairs, going up and stairs going down. It was a very strange floor plan. The omelette was good for breakfast. My husband liked the warm cookies.

Terrible! Our room was in the BASEMENT! (we were not told this when we booked). There is NO elevator and NO one to assist with luggage. When we inquired about this at the front desk, we got a shrug. I have emailed BW two times and messaged 2 times and have received no response. Best to avoid this property. Customer service at all levels is non existent.

We have just returned from a fantastic American road trip and stayed in lots of hotels throughout our trip - this hotel was, by far, the worst. It looks likes a prison and feels like a prison! We had booked a balcony room with 2 queen beds and had decided to stay for 2 nights to recharge our batteries. I had visions of sitting on the balcony with a book, soaking up the view -this was not to be. We were allocated a lower ground floor room (never a good sign!) by the curt and unhelpful receptionist. She was evidently less experienced than other staff, but had a superiority complex. She was vague as to where the room was so we had a lot of walking around the annexe to try and locate it. The lower ground floor external corridor was filthy with bins overflowing with rubbish. When we entered the room we were hit immediately with the smell of damp as well as the smell of a great many dogs. The room was so dark and gloomy with a grim concrete-style ceiling and prison grey walls. It was hugely dated. there was a big patch of damp over the bath. The balcony was filthy with leaves and dust and was, in my opinion, unusable as it was enveloped by large trees that blocked out light as well as any view whatsever. Complaining to the surly receptionist (she was not American and did not have the American 'eager to help' approach) got us nowhere. I tried contacted our UK agent but with the 8 hour time difference this was difficult. The room was so unpleasant I even contemplated sleeping in the car! The following morning I complained again and whilst the surly receptionist said no, we could not move, another sweet girl intervened and said there was another room we could move to after 16.00. This second receptionist we later noted, also cleaned the rooms and was very hardworking. The second room we were offered was also on the lower ground floor and smelt of damp, but there was not the smell of dogs and, even though the balcony was still grubby, it was not shrouded with trees so there was a bit of a view. This made the room somewhat lighter. I would avoid this hotel like the plague and, in fact, the town of Florence was one of the least attractive on this fantastic stretch of coast. It was too far from the sea and had an industrial air about it.

What a great hotel. We are just sorry we were passing through and couldn't stay longer. Check out the view from the breakfast dining room. Special made to order omelets for breakfast. Beautiful waterfall out front.

Great location on US 101 on the lake. Because it's on a hillside, you'll have to go up and down stairs to get to the room, pool, lobby, etc. Great view of the lake from the rooms, pool, and from the breakfast area. You can also look across the lake to old town Florence with shops, restaurants, a bakery, candy store, ice cream store, etc. Plenty of free parking and I saw that they have an overflow lot as well. If you're motivated, you can walk across the bridge to old town Florence. It's probably around half a mile. The rooms are older but they fit in with the Florence ambiance. They have nice hardwood floors and the countertops have been updated to granite. They also have a safe, microwave, and fridge. Service was great, the breakfast was very good and there was a lady that made omelettes to order. Only con was that the remote didn't quite work. We could not get the channel guide button to work so you had to flip through channels to find something.

We stayed for 1 night. It is an older hotel, however beautiful view of the river. Close driving distance to the town (just across the bridge and on the other side of the river). The room was clean. The pool and hot tub are indoors however it's a few flights of stairs down. There are no elevators, to our room or to the pool (if there were any, the staff did not tell us). Check-in and check-out were fast and easy. The breakfast was amazing! Made-to-order omelets and they were delicious. It was a great place to stay for 1 night on our road trip up the Oregon Coast.

Writing to compliment Sarah at the front desk who went out of her way for me when rooms were limited and I got a better location than we thought would be possible. Also, all stafff were great and breakfast yummy, rooms very clean. Thank you!

We screwed up and booked the wrong date but they still got us a room with no problem. Great stuff. Room was a little small but very clean. Good beds for a good night sleep. Bathroom clean with a rust stain in the tub but that was it. Breakfast had an omelet bar included with your stay. All in all, a good stay at a good price.

BEST Best Western we've stayed at yet! Beautiful location and beautiful hotel. Outside room access. Clean and comfy rooms. Our room hard wood, which I loved. The breakfast was so good and you could order omlets.

Firstly, I was not expecting Florence, OR to be as cute and romantic as it was so that elevated our enjoyment of our stay more. The parking sucks, but they can't do much for that since it's on a hill. Beds were comfy, staff and breakfast excellent, and views were SO good. You won't be disappointed with your future stay here. Just book it!

This Best Western has its own policies not the same as the other Best western Hotels. No room to work with customers. The staff here is rude. Untrustworthy management. Just don't do it. Driftwood shores is way better.

Our room had a great view…felt like we were in a treehouse unfortunately out little balcony was dirty with debris, dirt and spider webs so we didn't really sit out there. We had our dog so we liked the balcony for him regardless. Inside the room the baseboards were dirty and the chair and foot rest were ripped and stained.

We had a very nice stay. The staff was amazing and friendly. Our room was clean and very nice. We especially enjoyed Melissa, Siarra, and Shawn. Shawn made the best omelet's. The staff was very helpful in recommending restaurants for us to try. Everyone was friendly and we enjoyed laughing with them. We would definitely stay there again.

Located right on the highway, the rooms were quieter than expected. Our room with a balcony was spacious and comfortable with a nice view of the Siuslaw river. The included breakfast was okay if you just want food, nothing to write home about. Staff was courteous and friendly. If you want to be away from the center of town, this is it. If you prefer to be able to walk to the restaurants and shops (especially in the winter), recommend choosing a hotel across the river. Note that if you have an electric vehicle, there is no place to charge and you will need to find one in town, of which they are all very very slow.

Since Me and my husband live in Florence locally, they made us pay a $300 deposit which was really kind of insane since the rooms were only half of that. Stayed two nights and on the morning we were checking out, we got a call from the front desk at 9:30'am telling us that they needed to come in and check the Wi-Fi box on the back porch. Even though the wifi was working fine and we would be leaving in 2 hours. They proceeded to disturb us and knocked on the door stating that they needed to check on the room for our deposit even though we weren't even ready to leave yet. We felt rushed out of there and I would think the 300$ Deposit would be evidence enough that the room would be fine. Very rude and disrespectful! Also, the view sucked and it wasn't worth the price of the room let alone the deposit!

Stayed 2 nights and enjoyed it. Loved we could access our room from the outside. Loved the the hardwood floors. Clean and the breakfast with the made to order omelets and the well stocked other choices was really nice. The view was a nice plus. It was dark and I did miss the entrance the first time through.

We drove to the coast for a day trip and decided to stay the night. Room 355 is dog friendly with a great view. It was clean with a fridge and microwave. We were pleasantly surprised with made to order omelettes with their complimentary breakfast. The view in their lobby is very nice. Staff provided toothbrushes, toothpaste & mouthwash. Only criticism is the toilet seat is a bit small. Will stay again.

We come every year, and the service is always outstanding, which is why we choose this hotel. Normally we do Holiday Inn as we travel quite a bit. The beds were very uncomfortable and actually changed out, the pool/sauna obviously needs maintenance and I am really hoping a restaurant will come in and lease the space.

We missed the turn to the hotel in the day light, but found the way right away. If you are coming in the night, study the map first. We could see the rive and bridge from our room. The view is beautiful. The room was comfortable and clean, we had a good night sleep. The breakfast was good. We liked omelette, it's limited one per person. I also had some oatmeal .

Easy to miss turn into parking lot especially at night. Parking spaces are small due to limited area. Reception was very nice. Our room, luckily, was on the ground floor as there are no elevators. The beds were comfortable and room was clean. The internet buffered a lot then shut down so no streaming. Walls were very thin - so hope your neighbor doesn't get a phone call at 5:30 am of which you can hear the whole conversation.

So technically this hotel is across the river from Florence, in an unincorporated town called Glenada. But, it has great views from this side of the bridge of the old town area, though many of the balcony's do have limited views of the bridge itself, as the lobby breakfast area building sticks out blocking that part of the River. Regardless it's still very picturesque and quite enjoyed sitting out on balcony in morning and watching the river and the birds and the light come out even on a cloudy cool morning. Balcony was kept clean which is nice and the hotel itself is very nice. Lobby and breakfast area nice including a omelet person on this morning. The room was very updated and cleaned and comfortable with nice fridge and most of what one could need. I been saying this but like all hotels now they are a bit on the high side on cost, making up for last couple years i think, but still very nice stay and enjoyable.

We would stay here again. I reserved 3 rooms - 1 King with sofa bed (no balcony) and 2 double queens. I gave this hotel a 3 out of 5, because 3 means “average”. There was nothing WRONG, per say, and the staff and complimentary breakfast foods were GREAT, but I wanted to note a few things for other travelers. 1) STAIRS, STAIRS, EVERYWHERE! The lobby is up a half-flight of stairs from the breezeway (where you temporarily park while you check in). My parents are not in the best shape (both need knee surgeries) and their room (458) was down 2 flights of steep stairs and then when you got to their floor you had to go UP 4 stairs that were like the front porch to their room. My family and my sister's family stayed in rooms 129 and 125. Those are in the wing of the building to the right of the lobby breezeway, down one flight of stairs like you might see at an apartment building. 129's balcony view of the river was fully blocked by a bunch of trees. 125's room had a partial view of the beautiful historic bridge. My sister had 125. It looked like there were 2 wheelchair accessible rooms in the whole complex, and they were only accessible because of a long ramp system that led up to them. Tip: if you don't want to deal with a bunch of stairs ask for rooms with a balcony on the 2nd floor in that separate-from-the-lobby wing. There are still the 5-6 steps to the lobby, but it's only about 4 steps to your 2nd floor room. And they're probably with better views. 3rd floor would be better for views. If you don't mind stairs. 2) This is the only hotel in Florence that has an indoor pool. With a beautiful view. 2 tiny hot tubs and a dry sauna. So it books up early. And if you or your kids like to swim-it's fantastic! 3) This is an old hotel. They have remodeled, but some things need more attention than a coat of paint. Like how the time behind the toilet along the floor in room 129 is denting into the wall. Like the Sheetrock needs replaced. Or the door in the bathroom of 458 has white paint peeling off, revealing the original 80s brown door. 4) The king rooms with no balcony (400 rooms) are beautiful and spacious. They have a great view of river with big windows that open. No balcony needed! And you can get adjoining rooms. The bathroom has a little alcove with the sink/mirror accessible if someone is using the toilet or taking a shower. But the tub/toilet room has hardly any space. The KING bed was comfy. The pullout sofa bed was fine. 5) The queen beds were NOT comfy (129). And the bathroom is all-in-one with a fan that did a poor job of keeping the steam circulating. The entire countertop was wet with “dew” from the steam from the shower, and the whole room felt damp (even after leaving the sliding glass door open.) My swimsuit never dried and my denim jacket felt wet after hanging in the closet for 2 days. 6) Staff were helpful and friendly, made-to-order omelet on the weekend delish.

Our stay at the Pier Point Inn was my 15th hotel on a crazy 84-day around the country road trip. We have seen the entire range of hotels, the good, the bad, the ugly. The Pier Point Inn was by far the best experience out of 15 hotels so far. The hotel appears recently renovated and everything is well thought-out and nice/clean. The staff is just amazing, from check-in to the amazing breakfast experience with a view. I'd highly recommend the Pier Point Inn to anyone staying in Florence...and while I'm at it will put in a plug for the Waterfront Depot for dinner, great place.

We arrived at the hotel with no reservation. Cameron the young man behind the counter was very busy with other guests checking in. He acknowledged me and told me he would be right with me. Working me in with the other customer he looked for a room. Only one left and a possibility for another if the person wasn't coming to occupy the room. Cameron worked and got everyone to a room. He said our room had two queen beds but it was a king. Letting him know when we found out he found a rollaway for us. This was his first night on by himself and he handled it very well. At times he was overwhelmed but worked thru it very professionally. I was very impressed with his work ethic. For a 22 yo he was great. He's a keeper. A BIG Thank you to Cameron. If we ever pass thru again I will book in advance to ease your work load.

Hotel lobby is really nice and parking is plentiful. But like most hotels, the rooms are what need the attention and not the lobby. Who cares about the lobby unless you plan to sleep there? The rooms are very small, well worn and not in great shape. All the rooms seem to have a balcony with a view, but some would have less of a view than others. No air conditioner but you DO NOT need one as the temperature gets really cool in the summer and at night you run the heater. Breakfast was ok but not great. Typical free breakfast, but not really free since the room was $250 for the night. Best place to stay in Florence Oregon, but there are plenty of other options along the way that are nicer.

We went to Oregon for a couple days at the World Track & Field Championships in Eugene. With all rooms around Eugene booked for the entire week we opted to spend a couple nights here and make the 80 minute drive to/from Eugene both days. Turned out to be a very wise decision. The hotel overlooks the river/bay and our balcony offered us a lovely view of Old-town Florence. Breakfast was ample with freshly made eggs, biscuits/gravy, waffles, oatmeal/cereal, various breads, muffins, fruits, juices, coffee, tea, milk. Staff was very friendly as well so the whole experience was great at Pier Point Inn.

We had a wonderful room looking out on the river. Depending on the location of the room, there may be stairs to navigate, as it was for us. It was a most pleasant stay, and we would definitely choose this hotel if we ever need a place to stay in Florence.

Lovely property and wonderful view from our room. Spacious room and Comfortable bed! The Hotel staff is amazing and the breakfast was great. Nothing is perfect-one note, there is no elevator at this property. Definitely would stay here again.

Our room (don't know about others in the complex) had a multi-speed ceiling fan. With the door open (screen closed) to our balcony and the fan on low speed we lovely mornings overlooking Siuslaw Bay and the Florence Waterfront with coffee and biscotti. The rooms all have a northern exposure avoiding the heat of the day.

Comfortable room, good, scenic location - across the river from town, and helpful, friendly staff. Parking was a bit of an issue, but everything else was good. Second floor location requires stairs. Recommended

We were nervous about this hotel because two nights prior we had a horrible experience at a Best Western in California. Perhaps we had slightly depressed expectations, but we were dazzled by this BW's condition, view, and staff. The room was clean and had a great view of the nearby river. Staff was super helpful and friendly - the manager's office was central and visible - maybe that had something to do with it. At check-in we were given cookies and also an order form for breakfast omelets - organized! Breakfast was much better than expected - many hot breakfast options (including waffle maker, hard boiled eggs, fruit). Made-to-order omelets were delicious, though a tad slow because they're so popular (also, personally wish mushrooms were an option). Lady making the omelets was super duper nice, even went to the kitchen to help when she heard a pan drop. Small nitpicks about our stay (nothing that would keep us from staying again): * The toilet kept running after flushing - had to tweak it to make sure the flapper closed - but kids don't know that * Shower hot/cold hooked up backwards compared to label - no biggie * It was a bit of a maze to get to our room from the parking lot - and no elevator

The mattress in the hotel are terrible. You can see the impression of the many guest who have slept on the mattress. I came home with back ache that was so bad I had to go to my doctor. The breakfast was good!

My family and I enjoyed our stay at Best Western Pier Point Inn for my birthday. All the staff were welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was delicious and it included made to order omelets. We enjoyed the pool and hot tubs. Would definitely recommend and would come back if in the area!

Beautiful views and proximity to Old Town make this the best place to stay in Florence. You can walk across the bridge to shop and dine. The morning breakfast includes freshly made omelets made to order.

Nice view of the water but facilities are in need of refreshment. Price at over $200 is high for value received. Nice staff and breakfast omelette was excellent. Paint chipping on walls and doors. Heating registers dark in need of cleaning or painting. Deck and chairs need cleaning. TV small. No facilities for charging EV. Hotel nearby had free charging, even for non guests.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Good location for most activities. The breakfast was fresh, offered a good selection and there was someone there to make sure it stayed clean and filled. The room was spacious, clean and offered a beautiful view. Extremely satisfied with this hotel.

Nestled on a hillside with a great view across river and beautiful bridge. Old town Florence is just across bridge with good eateries, coffee and tea shops along with eclectic shops. The hot breakfast at hotel is fresh and good. Very clean rooms and comfortable.

This place is gorgeous! The room I was given had an exceptional view with a patio and seating. There were breakfast options! There was gluten free bread and other gluten free options, eggs, sausage, oat milk and even a selection of hot sauces. There was yogurt that wasn't Yoplait.They even had raw sugar, something I have to keep with me because so few places have it available. The dining area was gorgeous, with all the windows for that view. The pool was spectacular, again with all windows for a view of the water, 2 hot tubs along with a dry sauna. The room itself was spacious and fully accommodating. And the staff was exceptional. They were kind and accommodating and even helped me with a noise problem from upstairs.

The view of the river and the bridge from the room balcony was beautiful. Everything was clean, and the staff was really nice. The mattresses in our double queen room were really worn out, so we rolled into the middle all night. The pet area is a small Astroturfed section in the parking lot, and there is NO WHERE else for a dog to go. My dog thinks of Astroturf as a soccer field and wouldn't use it, so I had to drive her to a wayside each time (not safe to walk as there is no shoulder and fast traffic on the road).

From the time we checked in with Lorenzo, to check out staff was very friendly and accommodating. Qe ended up getting a 2nd room for our teenage daughter because the rooms were small and didn'toffer enough privacy. However, our view was wonderful and Lorenzo showed us several options and was so patient. We would definitely stay there again. Also, great location and within walking distance to historic Florence.

The room had a beautiful view! There was a mix up with our reservations and Lorenzo went above and beyond to make it right. The only thing I would recommend, bring a fan! The room got extremely hot at night. There is not AC unit (I'm assuming it has to do with being near a salt water river), just a ceiling fan which isn't enough. The hotel is just across the bridges from town which offers a lot of food options as well as grocery stores. The continental breakfast was great, a lot of options. All in all definitely would stay here again.

I've never had great experiences at Best Western, but it appears the brand has turned the corner on the quality and customer service side of things. We had two rooms for the night and we didn't have ANY problems during our stay. The rooms were nice and well appointed, the pool and hot tub were just right, and the great breakfast in the morning was a perfect ending. Thank you for being so kind and helpful during our stay. Can't wait to visit again!

We stayed here for the swimming pool. We brought out 7 and 8yr old overnight so we could spend the night and morning swimming. It's a great hotel to beat the winter blues in! The pool is perfect for younger kids, as it only gets to 4ft deep in the middle. The view of the river inlet can't be beat, plus there are 2 hot tubs and a dry sauna which is awesome for the adults.

The room was clean and looked remodeled at some point, though I noticed a musty smell as we walked in. Despite being on Hwy 101, the rooms are quiet and a nice view of the river and town. Beds are comfortable. Parking is decent. Breakfast was good with eggs to order or omelettes to order with options of sausage, ham, cheese, peppers, onions. Other breakfast options of sausage, breads and cereals. There was a fridge with a small freezer and a microwave also. Town is just across the bridge, so easy to drive to restaurants, but not so much for walking.

The room was large and very comfortable-the breakfast exceeded expectations with egg selections prepared right there-lots of options for breakfast-everyone was so pleasant-we were there for 2 nights-very quiet and enjoyed the view of the river

Pipes clank inside the walls all night and drunks fight in the parking lot at 3a.m. and nobody would do anything about it including front desk or police. They said they hope the situation defuse its self and won't send anyone to help.

This is a super nice place to lodge. They allow dogs and with permission, cats in designated pet rooms. The breakfast room is beyond belief. You name it, hot or cold, and they have it, plus the employees are very friendly.

The front desk staff and breakfast room staff are the best of any with whom I have had experience in the past and I have stayed at many Best Westerns over the years. The bed mattress is also exceptional.

We always enjoy staying at this location looking over the river and the lovely personally made omelet for breakfast. Only disappointment was the restraunt was closed this time, however it was middle of December and mid-week so was lower on occupancy.

Excellent. Especially for cook to order features. Personnel worked at the breakfast area were fantastic and cheerful. The varieties of food were exceeded expectation!!! The location was very convenient as well.

I highly recommend Pier Point Inn. The rooms are spacious and clean. The continental breakfast is outstanding. The highest praise I have is for staff. They are attentive and professional. One person stands out - Don! Thank you Don for your speedy check in and offer to help us with our luggage.

Great sleep, great location, great view, great breakfast, it was such a bonus. Awesome vacation! I've never had the stay be as good as the destination. A really nice hot shower and breakfast to start your day after a great sleep, it was pretty amazing.

This hotel was one of several we stayed in during a Mobile Covid vaccination clinic that travelled throughout Oregon. This was by far the best! Rooms were very clean and the view over the river was so nice. Staff could not have been better. Breakfast had so much to offer. They even had someone, usually Sam, making eggs to order. The hot tub was nice. Sarah was amazing and so helpful. Staff always greeted everyone as they entered. Pet friendly with little dog bisquits at the front desk. Would definitely stay there again.

We travel frequently and staying for three days at Best Western Pier Point Inn was the best lodging experience we've ever had in all of our travels. Our room was large and had an incredible view of the river, the bridge, and old town Florence across the way. Most enjoyable was the variety of the breakfast selections and the very friendly staff who prepared made-to-order eggs each morning. We will hopefully be returning for another stay sometime soon.

Located across the river from Florence with great views. Large comfortable room. Very nice breakfast with eggs cooked to order. Has a pool and a hot tub. Older facility renovated within the past five years but looking a little tired. Friendly staff

Room and hotel were nice. Manager was rude and accused of not being guest when using guest amenities. Had room key and proof of reservation and was still questioned and treated poorly for using hotel business center.

The Best Western in Florence is a fine property. The rooms are clean and well maintained. They have a good hot breakfast. My only complaint is that the Wi-Fi is horrible. It was not possible to stream to my laptop. I had no problem using a personal hotspot from my phone. Whats so hard about having a powerful Wi-Fi in the hotel. They make you jump through hoops with security and passwords. Who'd try to access in todays world. Seems a bit passé.

The staff made this trip amazing, the view was incredible. Breakfast was huge. I can't wait to take my family again. It felt good to swim! And it wasn't an expensive stay. We were able to pack food and cook there.

Had a great stay with our dog. Nice view of the river & close to Old Town. Nice staff, clean and comfortable room. Breakfast was nice and they had a room that you could have your pet with you while you had breakfast.

Booked someone else in our room after we had been in our room for 4 hours. Had been traveling and we were really tired. The guy about broke our door down trying to get in while we were sleeping. No apology from staff. Said their front desk person was new and that she had a bad day. For me to be understanding. I hadn't yelled or said anything rude. I just wanted to know how they were going to fix this from happening again. They said it only happens a few times a year!! I travel a lot and have never experienced anything like this. I have had poor service but not rude like I experienced here. I understand we all have bad days and we all make mistakes, but I want to hear, I am so sorry this happened and we will train and put some measures in to help this from happening to another guest. If I would have had my grandkids they would have been traumatized for a long time it was that intense. I thought the guy was going to break the door down coming in. I am still not sure this wasn't a scam to rob us. Seems weird that you would give a key out to a room you already rented and made the people wait an hour and half to check in. Then when the person opened the door was with such force it was deafening. It is about treating your guests with respect. I would maybe understand if I had been rude to you that you would get an attitude but to have an attitude with me when I called to let you know someone just tried to break our door down. You say oh you are in the wrong room but it is ok we will fix it??? WTH You put me in this room.... now it is the wrong room.... you give another individual a key to my room.... what if I was not in my room and my computer was there.... ??? What if I didn't have the safety lock on??? Just a weird incident that should not have happened and it definitely was not handled well. An apology of the mistake is where you should have started!! I have the right to complain about your service and lack of safety measures. You have a duty to have safety measures in place and treat your guests with respect and courtesy!

Just returned after a one night stay at this Best Western in Florence. Unfortunately, our flight into Eugene was late and due to wanting to get on the road while it was still light outside, didn't arrive until dark which was a disappointment since this property has outstanding views. We had a very nice king room, however, there is no elevator and you have to walk up two flights of stairs with your luggage. All staff members, especially on the front desk, were very friendly and helpful and seemed happy to be working there.

We enjoyed our stay at the Pier Point Inn of Best Western. It has great views and I could bird watch in the morning from my room. The only reason I give 4 stars is they didn't have any cleaning staff and wanted us to bag our own trash!

A great location for us, an environmentally welcoming experience and a room with an A Plus view. It was an Alpha-Omega experience complete with a staff so welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was wonderful, the staffing group paid amazing detail! We could not have asked for more. Highly recommend this lovely hotel....

The best western in Florence is very nice. This is where I typically stay when I visit Florence. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast is good. I like that they have 2 hot tubs and a pool. The rooms are always clean and well stocked.

The Best Western Pier Point Inn is well located, offering views from our balcony of the bridge, river and bay from area. It's private and quiet if a little hard to find the parking lot when you first arrive. It's outside of town but only takes 5 minutes to drive across the bridge to the bay front area. Also well located for exploring the dunes and beaches. The rooms seem to be recently redecorated. The bed was very comfortable. I was surprised to find a hot breakfast being served but they seemed to be observing COVID restrictions while doing so.

The room was clean (though potentially challenging to access if you have heavy luggage as there are no elevators) , breakfast and views were great. Unfortunately, as we were were being checked in by Lorenzo, another front desk person (whose name I did not catch - heavily tattooed older gentleman) was having a coughing fit. At its conclusion, he says "Guess I wont be going back to China", then looks at me. Highly unsure of what the look meant, whether to indicate being caught (I am Asian) or if pointed. No apologies or words were exchanged from either staffer regarding the racist joke. Either way, it was uncomfortable and not a great way to start a stay.

The room was large, very clean, and nicely furnished-king bed, sofa, desk & chair, refrigerator and microwave. plus-no carpet! I liked the laminate flooring so much better than carpet. Plenty of bathroom counter space. The room had a balcony, complete with two chairs and table, overlooking the river, with the old town of Florence on the opposite side. At night the lights reflected upon the water. It was so relaxing, my husband and I sat outside in the evening and watched the river flow by. Breakfast was provided and had many good choices: waffles, biscuits & gravy, two kinds of eggs, sausage, steel-cut oats, lots of fresh fruit, and various breads. The breakfast room overlooked the river so you could enjoy the amazing view while you ate. Newspapers were also free for those who like to read the local news. I am a Rewards member and so I stay at BW often, this is probably the best place of all that I have stayed in. One note: the room does not have any USB ports, however, there are multiple outlets in the lamps and throughout the room. I would definitely stay here again.

The staff was incredibly helpful during our entire stay. The hotel was clean and the rooms were beautiful. The view from the rooms we stayed in and from hotel breakfast area was absolutely gorgeous as it looked out onto the river.

Room was clean and comfortable. Great view from our balcony, good breakfast too. No elevator and several flights of stairs to get to pool , one flight to breakfast and out door walk... We're old and my husband is on oxygen so he couldn't get around the property very well. But it was beautiful.

Very nice view of the bay from the room which was great for morning coffee on the little terrace. Room coffee was terrible. Room was overpriced for what you got. Pillows on the bed were plentiful but very small. The breakfast crew was great and very helpful. The people in the room next door to us kept up with some noise like tapping on the wall or setting something against the wall which kept waking us up.

We were late in reserving and I guess we got what was left. The room was clean and comfortable. but on the small side. The bathroom was comical. We had what we called the Barbie Toilet. It was built for 4 year old and the toilet roll was in my left ear. There was a small bath tub with a shower which was probably fine if you are not claustrophobic. We had to schlep our luggage down a steep staircase so just as well I am fit. . Of course they also had to come back up. They had a good hot breakfast. All this for $246 all in.

Great room with a view of the river and old town. Large room, comfortable bed, lots of storage, plenty of electrical outlets. Good Wi-Fi, excellent breakfast, and helpful ,friendly staff. I will definitely stay here next time I come to town

We had a very nice time, great views of the river and the small town of Florence. The breakfast add a variety of foods and drinks and was very good. The staff was super friendly and quick check in. I would stay there again

The room was clean and definitely pet friendly. From the check in to check out I was treated with friendly, helpful and welcoming staff. I've never been in a hotel so welcoming and that accepted my fur baby too!

We arrive to the friendliest and kindest greeting from staff. The best experience I have ever had. The room offered great views. It is older but updated. Could use new walk way to rooms but it worked. The pool was down some stairs from the lobby and had a great view. The area was large and it offered 2 hot tubs. The water was great and hot tubs even better. The area was clean and taken care of. The room was clean and cozy. The beds were fine and breakfast was offered. Again the staff was friendly each encounter we had and the view amazing. I would say it was worth the value and I would stay again.

Beautiful area with a lot of activities available. The BW grounds are well maintained and is built to fit into the natural surroundings. The front desk was very helpful in taking my reservation over the phone to giving me a late check in. Would definitely want to go back to visit the area again.

First time guest at Best Western finding accomodations totally clean and inviting! Room costs definitely C19+ pricey as it's definitely a sellers market! Breakfast offerings were available with great coffee followed by sub-par lowest cost granola and cheapest sub-par yogurt an unexpected disappointment. Service gals quite friendly and helpful!

First time that my spouse and I stayed at any Best Western. We were warmly greeted by Front Desk clerks who also gave us great suggestions for an evening stroll/short hike. I had a restful night's sleep during my stay at this hotel. I enjoyed seeing the river and bridge from my room. I thought the room was small, and the floor was uneven. Otherwise, a great place to stay. I wish I could had stayed longer.

This is our third stay at this property. We love the location and the rooms with the river view. We were warmly welcomed when we arrived. The front desk clerks were very friendly. This time we were in a re-modeled room with a patio. We enjoyed sitting out on the patio, having a drink, watching the world go by. The beds were comfortable but I'm glad I brought my own pillow. Our floor was a little sticky, I'm not sure if someone who was staying in the room before us spilled something on it or if it just wasn't rinsed well enough but the floor could have been cleaned better. Breakfast the following morning had many options and there were plenty of spots to sit down and eat in the dining room. Since our room was re-modeled, I imagine they're working on updating the hotel. The covers on the outdoor walkways could use a refurbishing but other than that everything looked great. I would stay here again.

We have spent a number of nights here because it's convenient and pet friendly. However, $300.00 including a $20.00 pet fee is too much for this property. If you're going to charge premium prices, then give this property a long needed do over

We stayed just one night while traveling through. A good location; a clean, comfortable room; our dog was welcome; and there was a good place to walk her. They did a good job with breakfast, too. Our balcony faced the water; we slept with the door ajar for the breeze.

Be prepared to lug baggage up and down stairs, no elevator. Ask for a room with direct access without stairs. We paid double the price of what we paid the night before in a BW in another town. Balcony was dirty, stairs and exterior halls were too.. We needed to stay one more night, but were denied, thought they would honor our request being paying guests and reward members.

Appreciated the king bed was comfortable, view of the river lovely; other than that the room was rather blah. Bathroom sink leaked, cobwebs on the ceiling, bedroom floor was vinyl - felt cheap. Breakfast was very good.

Our room was small, dark, and musty. It was a huge disappointment, considering the relatively high price. Also, we were disappointed to find that the on-site restaurant, which had been highly rated, is now closed.

This Best Western is of above average but not great quality. The rooms are clean but feel somewhat crowded, the river view a definite plus. I appreciated the safety precautions taken for keeping people safe, but was disappointed with the minimalistic breakfast. Important to note that the motel is outside/ across the river from Florence, about ten minutes drive to the Old Town's shops and restaurants.

This is a nice hotel in a pretty setting on the central Oregon coast. The service was great, the hotel and room were clean and we had a very pleasant stay. I'd recommend this to anyone traveling the coast.

If you are at all physically challenged you might want to give this hotel a miss. The comodes in the rooms are very low and there are 3 very long flights of stairs to access the pool and fitness area. The hotel is more like a motel with rooms accessible from outside via stairs. The views are nice however and the hotel is away from the town so quiet.

I have stayed at many BW over the years and have usually been very satisfied with the value but this one in Florence Oregon was a disappointment. The location was awesome but the hotel is under-par, especially for the price. Lack of elevators, paper thin walls along with lumpy pillows made our overnight stay unpleasant.

Wonderful views (see photos) from huge room. We had room 454. It could easily have had 3 queen beds instead of 2. One bed had a ceiling fan over it. Has a lovely balcony with 2 chairs overlooking the river and downtown area (which has cute shops). Sliding screened door, as well as glass door. You could walk across the bridge from downtown (although it's a 2 minute drive). AC unit is old, and it was cool enough to open the balcony door, which was great because AC didn't seem to work well. Tons of space to lay out your suitcases, which is very nice. No elevator and long staircases to our room (other rooms looked easier to get to). Very quiet area. Small bathroom, but with 2 sink areas- one in the bathroom and one outside. Plenty of towels. Multiple plug-ins available right next to the bed.

We were traveling up the coast and decided at the last minute to get a motel. We needed pet friendly and have always had good luck with BW. Unfortunately the only pet room they had was down a flight of stairs. We are not able to pick up our dog and he had never used stairs before. If it wasn't for the help of other guests we wouldn't have been able to stay as our dog refused to move.

We really enjoyed our short stay here. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. We were in room 452, and couldn't see or hear our neighbors. Loved sitting on the balcony watching the river go by. The bed was quite comfortable (and I'm achy/picky about beds) and the linens soft. Best of all: no light coming in the sliding glass door, just lovely darkness. Breakfast was fine under the circumstances. Would stay here again.

The room was okay. The stairs going down to the room smelled. The breakfast was just okay. Very small portions and not hot. What is really annoying is they charge $30.00 per pet. Next time we are in the area we will probably stay somewhere else. Sorry Best Western I just don't feel that the value is there.

I interacted with Melissa and Candy several times and they always took care of my needs. They went above and beyond to help me out. great team!!! I Highly recommend this hotel and the rates are very affordable.

We chose this because it was pet-friendly (for a fee). It's a nice motel and staffed by service-oriented people. The walls a thin (I heard more about the relationship issues of our neighbors than I wanted to) but otherwise it was all good.

It's difficult to enjoy the balcony overlooking the river (if this is the reason you chose this hotel) when other guests are out on their balcony smoking. I know I had to sign something when checking in to say smoking wasn't allowed, but not everyone got the message. I did mention it when checking out and after some palaver the receptionist offered to add 5,000 points to my awards program. Unfortunately that doesn't make up for the fact that we chose this hotel (and paid accordingly) specifically for the opportunity to sit on a private balcony and view the river, but weren't able to. Other than that, the breakfast was OK, but extremely portion controlled. And the canned peaches masquerading a a fruit cup was disappointing. But, if you're just looking for a clean, comfortable place to spend the night, it's fine....

This visit went from potential disaster to our bliss in a matter of a minute. Long story short, he booked us a beautiful room and we all had a good laugh. Great stay! We will be staying here again!!!!

View of harbor from room was beautiful and the complimentary breakfast options were great due to COVID. The staff was pleasant. The parking lot and spaces were small. It was hard to park when it was a full parking lot. The room was too small of space.

Rooms have been remodeled over the past few years. Beds are comfortable. Rooms are nice. Good decor. There are a lot of river view rooms, we got one of those and the view of the river and old town is very nice.

We have stayed here multiple times and every time it is amazing! The front desk staff is super friendly and helpful. It was really nice to have a hot to go breakfast during Covid. There were plenty of options for breakfast and the woman serving us was so nice and polite. The morning staff was very helpful in helping me spend the rest of my gift card before it expired! The rooms were very clean and fresh. Beds are super comfy and rooms are inviting with a nice balcony! Overall, very good hotel!

After reserving a pet friendly room online and proceeding with my reservation based on PRICE, when I get there, after a long drive there were fees that they were not upfront about. Totally unacceptable.

Exceeded my expectations in every aspect for a hotel stay. The staff, the room, the view, even the complimentary breakfast was outstanding. They had the little details down as well. It was nice during these Covid times to have a prepared list of restaurants that were open for takeout as well as their hours.

We had seen this hotel, while previously visiting the town, and this time we decided to stay overnight. We got a large room, on the fourth floor, overlooking the river and Old Town Florence. The room was quiet and the bed was comfy. To our surprise this is one of the few hotels that still serve hot food for breakfast during Covid-19. They give you a choice if four breakfast s that they serve to you and you take back to your room. It was awesome, kudos to the hotel and staff for making it work while still keeping us safe.

I have a unique review, as I did not lodge the night here. I actually stayed at an Airbnb while in the Oregon coast, but unfortunately the Airbnb did not have stable Wifi for my work purposes. The Pier Point Inn was the third hotel in the area that I consulted with to see if I could rent a space for the day to use internet. Both Candy and Steven were so incredibly warm and helpful to me. Candy, upon hearing my dilemma offered their business center, but then upon hearing that I was a psychologist who needed to see patients, she offered to speak with her manager about getting me a more private space due to my needs for confidentiality. She and Steve were able to offer me to work in their large conference room with a beautiful water view for me to be able to attend to my patients privately. They expressed concern about the coldness of the conference room and even provided a little space heater to keep me warm. I am so very grateful for their hospitality and support, so that I was able to attend to my patients in a private and professional manner. I imagine my patients would also express that gratitude, if they knew the details of my situation. In my eyes, Candy and Steven went above and beyond customer service, and really offered me some personal and human kindness and grace. Thank you so much!

We stayed for two nights because we lost power at our residence. The room was clean and very comfortable with a great view of the city and river. Even though breakcast was carry out it was very tasty and filling.The hotel crew was nice and professional.

We stayed there one night in late October. Very easy access to sand dunes. Our room had limited river view. Room could have been cleaner. Sandy floors but somewhat understandable this close to sand dune recreation. Staff was nice. Room had no usb charging ports and limited outlets. If we didn't have adapters with us would have been unable to charge phones and tablets. For the money, they could do better.

We enjoyed our stay here, the breakfast option was a hot breakfast, not a brown bag grab and go. Because of Covid-19 regulations, we had to eat in the guest room but is was decent. The layout of the building is a bit interesting, and it is an older property. It has been updated and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast team was very helpful and they helped make our stay pleasant.

We received a room exactly as requested: River view with two beds. The view is lovely along with a balcony for enjoying the fresh air. The balcony is a nice place to eat since the breakfast room is now closed. They are now serving breakfast as very generous To- Go meals (four choices) of scrambled eggs, sausage, pancakes, potatoes, apples, coffee, tea, etc. Every employee we encountered, front desk clerks, breakfast server, and maintenance man were warm and friendly. The beds aren't particularly comfortable, but we've noticed that's always overlooked in most hotels.

My room had no ventilation or air conditioning. This resulted in a damp smell and moisture in the room. I got a fan to put in the window, but at over $165 a night, this shouldn't be necessary. Especially for a Best Western. The furnishing was nice, and I could tell that it has been recently remodeled. But nice furniture doesn't make up for stale air and not being able to breath comfortably. The staff were very warm and friendly. And, to be fair, it isn't their fault that the room was not built with a ventilation system or air conditioning installed.

Overall great stay here! The staff were so friendly and welcoming and super helpful! Turning into the parking lot is a little weird...it's a sharp turn and once you're in, it's hard to tell if it's supposed to be one-way traffic btwn the two entrances...but it all worked out ok lol. They've updated their breakfast procedures and now you get a menu to choose from of hot food finally yay! So much better than the cold grab-and-go Covid options ugh! We had eggs and potatoes and sausage and pancakes to take up to the room!! It was awesome! Our room was large and spotless and even had a wet bar sink area with the coffee maker so that was lovely! It had a fridge and microwave. The bathroom sink area had plenty of room for toiletries but the shower was lacking in surfaces for soaps and such. The patio had comfortable seating, was clean and had a killer view of the river and of Florence and the nice bridge! Was great at night too! Their pool was open with reservations but we were too tired to swim so I can't speak to the pool area. My only complaint is that our room was down some sets of stairs and there didn't seem to be any elevators? So that was weird. Otherwise, a great stay!

Entrances are form outside. Needs paint, chipped wood, etc. inside of room was fairly large and clean. Nice spacious shower. Caulking in bathroom needs update. Hot breakfast options during Covid. Overall nice stay but is a bit dated and could benefit from updates.

We spent three nights at the Pier Point Inn in July and our room had great views of the river and old Town at night.Our room was very clean and roomy,we got a discount for not needing room service.They provided a graband go breakfast which was ok considering the circumstances [Covid].We would definitely stay there again.

We had an excellent experience here. The room was extremely clean and well kept. The view from the balcony was absolutely amazing and the hotel was conveniently located near a lot of nice restaurants. The staff and hotel manager were SUPER kind, helpful, and friendly. When I opened the door to my room at the Pier Point Inn, I was surprised to find an employee inside. She said that she was there for quality control. Her presence was less of a surprise, however, than was the fact that she was not wearing a mask. This worried me because exhaled COVID droplets can remain in the air for up to three hours. I opened the door to the balcony immediately to get some fresh air circulating, but I still felt wary being inside the room. When I checked out, I mentioned my concern to the staff member at the reception desk. She said that this employee cannot wear a mask due to a medical condition. While I respect that, I feel that she should not be in guests' rooms if she is unable to protect them from potential disease transmission. This seemed particularly ironic, since her job appeared to involve inspecting rooms to be sure they have been cleaned properly. Best Western has some of the most stringent protocols to protect guests during this time of pandemic; this was the main reason I chose this hotel. So it was very disappointing to realize that my room might not have been as safe as I'd anticipated. That (big) concern aside, the room did appear very clean. It was spacious, and the view of the river from the balcony was lovely. But it's hard for me to recommend this hotel at this time. Safety is so critical right now, and if a key employee can't wear a mask, she should either perform another job or inspect rooms several hours before they are occupied.

Pleasantly surprised, despite this being only a 3 star. Hotel was clean, offered shampoo/soap in dispenser in shower. Breakfast was great despite being limited by COVID19. Close to bridge and old waterfront area of town. Would highly recommend staying here.

Shout out to CANDY! She was so knowledgeable about the area and her recommendations were spot on! Our room was a bit small but phenomenally cleaned! Pool was super clean and refreshing as well! The guy working the graveyard shift was awesome always asking how we were doing. We will definitely be a repeat customer! I can't say the same for the best western in Reedsport....steer clear of that one! Glad to know that Best Westerns are INDEPENDENTLY owned.......

OK.....The positives first....located on the river, the views were nice. And it was nice to have a small balcony overlooking the river for morning coffee time. The room appeared to be clean upon arrival. Pre-Covid, I was not the type of person to wipe down the "high touch areas" of a hotel room. During Covid, I am now. And I will say, I did not see a lot (or any) grime come off onto my Clorox sanitizing wipes. So that was a good start. A couple more positives....staff was friendly upon arrival. Housekeeping was proactive each morning in checking in, to see if we needed anything replenished. And their "grab and go" breakfast alternative to their typical offering included a hot offering with protein, which was appreciated. The only negative to comment on: the place is old and a bit tired. Yeah, you could tell that they partially refreshed things a couple years back. New carpet in some common areas, new laminate flooring in the rooms. But if you looked deeper, you could also tell where they didn't refresh....old school tile and grout for the bathroom floors. Old school "round" toilet, not elongated, located about 12 inches off the floor. Little things like that....nothing horrible. But yes, noticeable. If your normal hotel stay is a Best Western, or equivalent, you'll look past these quibbles and genuinely like the place. If your typical overnight stay is more on the lines of a Hilton property, or a Marriott property, you'll quickly see the quibbles.

We called before making the reservation and asked if the pool and hot tub were open, we were told that they were. After checking in we settled in the room and then headed for the pool, only to find the pool doors locked. Apparently the pool is by reservation only and both hot tubs were closed completely. We only chose this hotel based on the pool and hot tub being open.

Had view of river and old town which was really nice. Balcony to sit outside and enjoy view a plus. Room updated and comfortable and breakfast a plus. My only complaint is they should have replaced toilet in bathrooms. A child it works for however adults will struggle. It's very low to ground and no space.

Our family had an excellent stay at the Pier Point Inn! Room was as expected. The view of the river and old town was great! The girls had a great time playing in the pool. Most importantly though, the staff was excellent and very accommodating. Melissa at the front desk was a huge help! Her recommendations of places to go with the girls were wonderful. Ray was very helpful at breakfast time, helping us get organized and making sure the girls had a great breakfast experience. We will be back! Thank you!

This hotel is perfectly located with beautiful views of the river. The staff is very helpful and kind. Rooms are clean with awesome balcony's. We appreciate the ability to check in late. We will be back.

I had a bay view room on the 2nd floor (room 240) and it probably had the best view for the 2nd floor. The trees and brush pretty much block the view of the bay. When I made the reservation, i asked for extra coffee packets but only ended up with 2 for a double room. The flooring is the "fake wood" look so you can see everything they didn't vacuum. I stepped on a small piece of glass walking to the bathroom so I would recommend bringing slippers. The bed was comfy but only had 2 tiny pillows, glad I brought mine. For the "grab and go" breakfast, it was pretty good. The parking spaces seem like they were made for small electric cars. If you have a Caddy, good luck! Overall, it was ok but I have stayed at much better Best Westerns.

I made reservations days in advance in securing a pet friendly room with a view option and 2 beds at a price at $140. However, when I arrived the price was $198 and the view was completely blocked by a huge tree. When I inquired about the price, they blamed the sales lady even through she itemized the pet fees and takes around $140. I swallowed my pride and paid for the room only to discover that there was a huge tree that completely blocked the waterfront view. I returned to the desk to request moving to a different location if I was gonna pay condo pricing. A few clicks on the computer to say nothing was available even though it was very early in the day and I had someone call to inquire about their vacancies. Sorry BW, this may be the last time I ever get f*ked by you.

Great location, friendly and professional staff. The room was updated, very clean and comfortable. Due to Coronavirus we were unable to eat at the hotel but they did offer bagged breakfast to go which was thoughtful.

Arrived just as Coronavirus travel & hospitality restrictions began. Still had a superior experience due to how helpful the staff were. Candy and Dave (front desk clerks) handled check in efficiently; made sure I got the Travel Awards credited; and clearly explained changes due to new safety requirements to help reduce virus infection spread.

Checked in and was given fresh warm cookies, had made to order omelets for their complementary breakfast and was able to soak in a hot tub after a long day of driving. I didn't have any issues it was a great stay.

great view and breakfast, comfortable beds, great value, the place is a gem, we will definitely stay there again. I don't like the fact that you have to drone on and on to make a review because it has to be at least 200 characters.

Room was clean. Staff was very friendly and courteous, Beds are very comfortable and had a very good nights sleep. The omeletts for breakfast are very good. Outside could you some updating and fixing up but not going to ding for that.

First time staying and I will go back. From the check-in staff to the breakfast crew to all the housekeeping people, all were so friendly. The hotel, while a little dated, is very clean with comfortable beds, great pool and work-out area and the food is amazing. Bay View Bistro inside offered some of the best chowder and crab cakes I have had in the area. The coconut shrimp with jalapeño-pineapple chutney is highly recommended! Staff Crystalina and Shanna as well as chef Danny made our dining (and drinking) experience all the better with their friendly service and accommodating personalities. Breakfast was always great - especially the smoked salmon omelet! Only a couple of things to offer for improvement, our door cards were not working properly so we needed to trade them out and we were looking for homes in the area so researching on line a great deal...however, the wi-fi was down about 90% of our 3-day visit. We were told it was a software "change" issue, but it was bothersome. Hope they get that fixed before I go back!

The service was outstanding, the restaurant was, surprisingly, really good. We enjoyed the breakfast. The rooms were clean and we liked sitting on deck as the sun went down and the lights from the town across the water got brighter. Pet friendly is a huge plus. The only con that I had was that it was a teeny-tiny bit far from the town for most people, not bad though, it's just under a 1/2 mile walk to restaurants and cute shops and galleries. However, because of the location, we enjoyed the view of the town at night. If you have a car, no need to worry about that 1/2 mile.

I have come to not expect a high standard from Best Western but this one was different. it was very good in every way, particularly the extremely comfotable bed. The staff at check in could not have been more helpful and we had dinner in the restaurant which has a lovely setting.

We have stayed at the Pier Point on numerous occasions and it is always a supreme pleasure. The property is one of the older ones we stay in however it has been meticulously maintained. it is a classic PLUS. The staff are as wonderful as the property, and even if your not a breakfast fan, don't pass this one by. Not only is it a culinary delight the view will just KNOCK YOUR SOCKS OFF. Oh yeah the pool is wonderful with TWO seperate hot tubs.

Melissa helping assist us to our room and with the crib, Dave saw me struggle with stairs and went to get me ice, Tim saw us having a hard time with young children and went out of his way to help us!

I checked in for 4 days after having yet another knock down with my husband.He just cannot be true.But the sight of my tear stained face was just too much for the manager who called me into his office like a bad child on the 3rd night.He asked me to leave.Said "they" couldn't afford the liability.I was a very quiet guest I could not get why he wanted me gone.I left early, that night & they never refunded the 4th day .Women heed my warning.These hotel people at Pier Point DO NOT CARE if you live or die.I've never been so humiliated.What is the world coming to if you cannot stay at a motel & feel safe?Don't go here they for sure could care less.Yes, I'm angry, rightfully.Where did he want me to go? Home??

They have a complimentary breakfast with made to order omelettes or scrambles, in addition to the standard continental fare. The restaurant in the hotel is also wonderful. Try the bacon blue cheese burger. Our room was comfortable and cozy, we would definitely stay here again. Friendly staff that makes your stay feel worthwhile. My only complaint is that it is not a non-smoking property. Our room happened to be near the smoking area which is located on the sidewalk off to the right of the main entrance. There were often large groups of employees gathered there, and when it rained the ashtrays smelled like wet stale cigarettes.

My husband and I both agree this was a great stay. The view from our room was gorgeous. Our dinner was fantastic, my prime rib was the best. George loved his halibut stuffed with crab. Excellent meal. The made to order omelettes in the morning were perfection, even better than Salem's best omelettes at Sybil's. The omlettes were so good my husband was inspired to give the chefs a "napkin art" thank you( see attached photo). We will definitely stay again the next time we are in Florence.

Pier Point Inn is one of our destinations as we visit from the Portland area up and down the Oreogn coast on a near monthly basis. The views are wonderful looking across the river to the town of Florence. The pool, sauna, and hot tubs are clean and well equipped and the breakfast with made to order omelettes is equal to the very best of any Best Western Hotel. For a few dollars more ask for an oversized room in the main building - the rooms and views are well worth the cost. The staff couldn't be more accomodating. This hotel is a keeper! My only caution is that there are no elevators so staying in the main building requires going down some 20 steps to the rooms and another 20 some steps to the pool and sauna. That said we'll be staying here until my knees give out!

Needed to stay in Florence for a last minute work trip. Staff quickly made my reservation that morning, check in was so smooth and the staff were SO FRIENDLY. Walking to the room I was a little put off by outdoors entries (especially since it was raining/cold and I wanted to stay inside) but the walkways were covered and the property is small enough that no walk is really that far. Once inside, the room decor, space, and overall quality honestly made up for the exterior set-up. The rooms are well furnished, good space for me to spread out and do work, bed was comfy, LOTS OF PILLOWS (I didn't even have to ask for extras!), water pressure good, everything I wanted to be hot was hot - wonderful trip, thank you!

I like Best Western's overall and this one is a nice place to stay. The lights from the Siuslaw Bridge are pretty at night as is the lights on the river shoreline. The rooms are clean and comfortable. We did have trouble with the water being shut off this trip due to local road construction but management upgraded us to the 3 bedroom cabin on site at no additional fee, which was really nice. The only things that I found inconvenient were, 1, The television remote does not have usable guide selection, which is a problem when you are unaccustomed to the local stations and even the printed guide does not tell you that there are two HBO channels available. My second issue is that you are charged $30 a night for your dogs. I can understand a fee but $30 a night? Why? I'll most likely stay there again as like I said, I like Best Western's overall but I will be looking into other options at this point.

I don't know why but I still kind of associate Best Western with those discount hotels that have a 6 and an 8 in the name, but they are always pretty nice when I stay. This particular one had comfy beds, nice pillows, modern and clean rooms, and a great breakfast all for a super reasonable price. This was my first time staying in Florence and if I ever stayed there again I would totally go back to this place.

The BW staff is amazing and added greatly to our stay. Melissa at check-in, Stephanie in housekeeping, Andrea at dinner, Tim and Sara at breakfast and Dave at checkout made our stay wonderful- plus the views are fantastic especially for dinner in the evening. Speaking of dinner, Andrea is a perfect hostess and server, she made our evening wonderful!

Great 3 night stay over New Year's. Beautiful view, clean and comfortable room, staff is friendly and helpful. Complimentary fresh custom made Omelette and good selection of breakfast foods in the clean Breakfast Room with expansive view of Siuslaw Bay and bridge. Their on-site Dinner restaurant, the Bay View Bistro, served us delicious New Year's Eve and New Years Day dinners. Good menu selection with friendly accommodating service in a cozy comfortable setting with yet another expansive view of Old Town waterfront, bridge and bay. Was a perfect place to have lovely dinner experiences without even leaving the Inn's property. Very convenient with no driving.

What a great location to begin a quiet December coastal trip up the North Oregon coast! Room was immaculate with a view of the bridge. The staff, specifically Andrea in the restaurant and Don at the front desk, were great. Don was able to direct us over to the restaurant where we enjoyed a wonderful meal and cocktails that seemed underpriced. Don't tell Best Western that though. The rooms and property are very well kept – the staff make the experience though. I have stayed at this hotel several times and have not ever had a bad experience, nor not been greeted with a smile and hello. The staff at this hotel are amazing and helpful.

From the moment we came in to the lobby, we were treated amazingly! The person at the front desk was super nice and constantly smiling. Very polite and made sure we had all the info needed. Breakfast was also amazing with made to order eggs and polite breakfast employees. Overall just an amazing experience!

Customer service, room and restaurant were very cozy and comfortable. The pool area was worth the trip all by itself. Everyone I met was friendly and helpful. The mourning breakfast was the best I've ever had at any hotel. Customized hand made omelettes were exceptional.

Tidy rooms good breakfast and lovely staff. Across the river from old town Florence where there are a large number of interesting stores, cafes and restaurants. Dog surcharge doesn't break the bank, limited area with artificial turf(which my dogs refuse to recognize as "grass") for dog walking but otherwise a nice place to stay.

The structure shows its age, but the hotel is kept very clean with all amenities in good working order. Its location affords gorgeous views of the river and the city of Florence. The staff are most accomodating and the included breakfast was quite nice.

I was skeptical since I stayed here over 20 years ago but the motel has been renovated and i was very impressed! The entire hotel staff were attentive and friendly. Our room was clean and loved the view of the river. We ate at the restaurant and everything was delicious and staff again were all great. Greg was about server and bartender and made the best cocktails! They even had a happy hour which made us quite happy!!! After dinner we enjoyed the indoor pool and jacuzzis! Luckily they have 2 jacuzzis so able to have one to ourselves. Slept great and the breakfast in the am with made to order eggs. I had the smoked salmon omelet with capers spinach and tomatoes. Plus tried some of their fruit and other hot items and what a deal. This was by far the best motel package I have had in a long time. Food, amenities, service and location! I will return!

The front desk was incredibly helpful, the made to order omelettes, the view and very clean rooms and comfortable beds made this an excellent stay. Parking was easy, great place for an overnight stay. I would stay there again.

The somewhat tired looking building, location away from downtown, and cramped access and parking made us wonder. But our top floor room was very clean and comfortable and had a wonderful view of the river and bridge. The staff, in particular, was excellent –friendly and helpful and always, it seemed, in a good mood. Breakfast was also excellent with eggs made to order. Recommended.

This is a great hotel....The room was clean and comfortable, front desk people were very pleasant and helpful, Bay View Bistro was amazing...great food, and Shanna was the perfect hostess and wait person....Breakfast was made to order...That was a first time experience....We would stay there again....If just passing through around 4pm, stop and have something to eat....You will not be disappointed....

Needed an assessible room and Florence was full...but we found one at BW. Everything was great and had the best dinner!! Each of us chose 2 appetizer and the large bowl of clam chowder..(I had a martini) all was super good. Recommend to all!!

the entire process was uncomplicated and pleasant. The check in clerk and staff were all excellent. The room was clean and the bed was conformable. The breakfast omelet was delicious, on a scale of 1-10 was a 10+ . The whole experience perfect. Thank you BW!

Wonderful room with a view. Very well kept and comfortable and very friendly staff. The highlight of our stay was the excellent dinner right at the onsite restaurant. I highly recommend Greg as our server and Josh the chef. The food was mouthwatering and Greg was able to recommend a few items that may have been skipped otherwise. Kuddos to them!!!!!

Loved this Best Western room with its balcony and view of the river. We arrived early and they still checked us in so that we could go sight seeing and took a drive up the coast, and then followed the river inland. Beautiful area and great drive.

Our stay at the Best Western Pier Point Inn was totally awesome! Our beautiful room overlooked the river with a balcony. When we arrived, Don, at the front desk was so helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. I can't do steps and Don was able to find a room for us with just 2 steps. He is a wonderful asset to this hotel. Our dinner in the restaurant was top notch from beginning to end. Our waiter, Gregg, was wonderful. His knowledge of the menu, wine list, and dessert was so very helpful. The chef, Scott, is another asset to this hotel and restaurant. Our food was absolutely delicious, cooked perfectly, and mouthwatering!! Thank you for a great stay!!

We had to carry our luggage down a long flight of stairs. This building needs repairs and updating. The bathroom floor needed deep cleaning...grout was black...with dirt. Room smelled ..maybe dog urine? They need regular bed pillows not little square pillows.

It was a very nice room with a nice view of the river. The beds were great the bathroom ..the toilet paper was in a weird area and the towels were across the room..I would most certainly stay here again

This was one of the best “Best Western “ stays in my history. The staff and the food was what made it that way. Everyone from check in to check out was happy and sincere- the food was fresh and tasty. Congratulations on creating a happy and engaged team and providing fresh food for your customers( best breakfast.....better to do little with excellence than big in an average way). Stay at the Best Western Hotel in Florence for a great Florence experience. Overlooks the Suislaw River into downtown Florence. Close to all the restaurants, museums.walkable all over the city. Fun for the whole family.

Motel was very accommodating during our stay & our two small dogs were also welcomed. Had great female server in lounge when having drinks & dinner. She did not rush us, exercised great patience as we asked questions about drinks & food. All staff we encountered were friendly & professional, room was clean & welcoming. I would recommend this motel to all travelers. Our room had balcony looking out on harbor & was very quiet during our stay.

BW Pier Point Inn location is conveniently located to Sandland Adventures where we were planning to go to experience the Dunes and enjoy their their recreation facilities. The staff could concentrate a little more on cleaning the rooms and making sure the kitchen units are ready for guests to utilize. The breakfast is great with good variety and helpfule staff.

This hotel has a wonderful friendly staff which made it a pleasure to be there. The breakfast was exceptionally good - one of the best hotel breakfasts I have had. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to any friends and family.

The breakfast is cooked to order, real eggs over easy! Omelette your way etc. That is free with your room. The dinner is fabulous, the chef is top notch, we ate there three times, I highly recommend the scallops and risotto, Patrick loved the chicken, great Cesar salad. The hotel is nice, the food makes it special.

Yes, nearly all the rooms have great view. It's very clean, and the staff was very accommodating. When I made the reservations, I requested a main level room because my husband has breathing problems. Come to find out, the main level is a hike down 20+ stairs and no elevator. Impossible for both of us. So, they gave us a handicapped room, and did not get a balcony or a decent view. The room was incredibly hot, over 80 degrees, and no air conditioning, no fan, and no way to create a cross breeze. They do not tell you in advance that there is no elevator or no air conditioning. Very good restaurant for dinner. And very good free breakfast. The parking lot is very small and inconvenient. We will stay there again, and will be much better informed, based on this experience.

The view from window and food are both better than the other Best Western Plus in Eureka. Should try ATV and horse riding to the beach. Seals are not in cave. Can watch from outside. Weather is not predictable.

We reserved a king room with a view, but our view was mostly obstructed by trees. We did get to eat in the on-site restaurant which was decent, but very pricey. The hotel is laid out that you have to walk outdoors in the elements to get to your room. The walk ways are not connected so if it's raining you're getting wet. There was also limited parking near our room and someone was taking up two spots, and I let the front desk know but they did nothing about it apparently. Overall, decent stay, but felt it was overpriced.

The rooms in this hotel have beautiful views and it's very close to Old Town so the location is superb. However, it's horribly overpriced....we paid over $240 a room! The rooms were dark and damp, and our feet were brown with dirt after walking on the room floors after our showers. Breakfast was good (as per other reviews) but the space is poorly laid out and it's very cramped, so it's hard to even get to the food. Additionally, staff at breakfast were shockingly rude....we were trying to find a table to sit down at breakfast and saw a staff member cleaning a table so we started to walk over toward it. The woman cleaning saw us and just put out her hand as we were approaching and shouted “NO!” Highly unprofessional!! Overall we were extremely disappointed in this place and won't stay here again.

The issues are stairs, parking, and some inconvenient amenities. The views from the rooms are terrific but there is inadequate parking close to the entrance. Rooms are reached by two stair towers which might be difficult for some. Tthe ice machines are poorly located and inconvenient. I could not recommend this hotel without qualifications.

Each room has a balcony with a view and breakfast is extra special with omelets made to order! Nice place to stay for business or pleasure. Next time I will be staying longer and venturing into the town.

I was in Florence and stayed for a week here. Something went wrong with the reservation on my end, and a few days into my stay I had to move to another room. Candy at the front desk was helpful and efficient at finding the best way to accommodate me in a matter of minutes. Dave was generous and helpful with assisting me to move all of my things to the other room, up and down a couple flights of stairs many times. Britani was very kind and hospitable, working diligently to clean and prepare my previous room for the next guests on short notice. These three made the whole situation so much less stressful!

There were so many wonderful things about this experience: beautiful view, accommodating staff, delicious food, great venue for a class reunion (at a very affordable cost, which was about $35/plate). There is a bar right near the room and Heather offered great service as bar tender. The server for food at the reunion was June, and she addressed all my questions and offered quick and helpful service. The chef and sous chef, Scott and Josh, prepared delicious prime rib and chicken piccata for our classmates and I heard many wonderful comments about the food. Lastly, Lisa, the manager, was available by phone, email, or text to answer all of our questions and help us pull off a great reunion. We ran into a few snags as well that should be mentioned: it was a bit more challenging to meet food accommodations (ie. gluten free) so I just brought salad dressing and dessert from a local store and it worked perfectly. There is no a/c in the Glenada Room, which probably works most of the year, and the windows to open for cross breeze are small. But this was a warm August night with a big crowd, so we ended up running out to buy fans to offer more circulation. We were also charged twice for the room rental fee ($225) so we are in the process of getting that fixed. And there wasn't a lot of tech support for microphone and slideshow, so it was good we had someone with us to offer support. It might be good for the whole staff to be trained on how to use the equipment. Lastly, we were a group who knew exactly how we wanted tables to be set up and how we wanted the room to look, and the staff helped us execute that goal...but we had to take the lead (which was fine with us). Overall, it was an amazing event with delicious food, and many of our guests said they want to do the next reunion there too! Many people who had been drinking and could not drive enjoyed the walk across the bridge to Old Town and continued the festivities there. Thank you for a great event, Pier Point!

It was a great place to stay! Just too expensive for less than 24 hour stay Breakfast was great! Rooms are nice View of the river in Florence is awesome! I'd recommend staying here. Staff went out of their way to accommodate us.

Can't say enough to praise the Best Western Pier Point in Florence. They have a great location and have perfected stellar service. The room with the river view was quiet and well maintained. Beds are comfy. We really enjoyed the view of the river and the lights of old town Florence in the evening and early morning just b4 sunrise. We Love, Love, Love this place.

We stayed here one night during a road trip. Every staff member was great, but the server in the restaurant was especially friendly and impressive. The room was clean, pretty, and comfy, the food in the restaurant was good, and the views were stunning. We would recommend this hotel to other travelers.

This hotel is in a prime location on the river overlooking Florence. The views are spectacular. The hotel is older but it has been renovated several times. Our room was clean and comfortable. The pool was a great feature. We ate at the restaurant and it was quite good. It exceeded our expectations.

I have stayed in many Best Westerns over the years. This hotel is ok, but if you go when the temperatures are up, be sure to get a room with AC or at least a full window that you can open. We were in a room below grade in a corner and our window was very small and would only open a couple inches. This did not provide adequate ventilation during the day and the only way to keep the room comfortable was to keep the door open which is less than ideal. We were able to get a fan for the night, but no extension cords available so we had to improvise and use a lamp as an extension cord so we could position the fan near the window. The omelette bar was a nice touch and good, but other food such as the gravy for the biscuits and gravy was not quite right.

I can't say enough good things about this hotel. The room was, clean, comfortable and quiet. I really appreciated the lack of carpet. The view of the river is beautiful, especially at sunset. The breakfast makes the cost of the hotel worth it. There are the traditional BW breakfast fare, but also an omelet bar! The dining room is a nice size and overlooks the river as well. We only stayed one night, but thoroughly enjoyed it.

Despite the notation that this location is dog-friendly, they make it very difficult to bring your dog(s). The situation on a cliff above the Siuslaw River makes for difficult entrance and exit; access from the parking lot is not ADA-friendly. And it is one of the most expensive on the Coast. The view is great, though.

We were slightly nervous about staying here on our drive down the coast, but we were pleasantly surprised. It proved to be a great stopping point before our day at the Dunes near by. We were happy that the hotel had non-carpet floors and a great view of the river. If you stay here, be sure to check out the restaurants and coffee shop in the old part of the town (back across the river, off of the highway).

Very overpriced for the amenities received. Room was very dated and not at all comfortable for the price. Not dog-friendly considering it was the highest pet fee I have ever paid for a motel room. As we turned in for the night, we found no bottom sheet on the bed, and slept on the mattress pad. So disgusting. Would not recommend.

Loved the Location, right by the Beach and in very close walking distant from lots of Restaurants. But were not too happy that it did not have Breakfast included, like most of the Hotels have nowadays.

Cons: 1. Leaving the hotel's parking lot. Holy Cow, it's a sharp right turn and a 45 degree angle. We had to gun it in our minivan. I can't imagine some of the other vehicles in the lot making that exit. 2. Some rooms have an the hotel entrance and other have outside doors. There is no convenient way to get back to the lobby. Thankfully, it wasn't raining during our stay or it would have been a real pain to get to the breakfast area. 3. Temperature control was non-existent.Having said that, when we checked out the desk clerk asked about our stay and I mentioned the broken thermostat. She made a note of what I said.

The website does not clearly mention that the hotel does not have any elevators. It's hidden as a small mention under room amenities. The mention that the pool is not accessible by a elevator actually gives the impression that the hotel has a elevator, just that the pool cannot be reached using one. I had to carry 4 big bags down a flight of stairs. The room did not have an ac and we were not told at checkin. When we later asked in the morning, we were told that we could have asked for portable fans. How the hell am I supposed to know that the front desk has fans when we were not told anything about it ??. The shower gel was not enough and the restaurant service fell short as well. It was not worth my $250.

I stopped here during a road trip with my family and stopped here as it's convenient to Oregon dunes tour. The hotel is in a nice quiet location, a 10 minute walk across the bridge to riverfront Florence where there are nice shops, restaurants and coffee shop. The hotel is well appointed, clean and professional. There is a breakfast buffet with a server who can make an omelette to your taste. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

We originally booked a 2 night stay via Priceline which chose a 'two queen' room for our reservation (just my wife and I). I asked if we could change to a king room when we checked in. The clerk was helpful and found a king room (204 I think) with a view and balcony! The room also had good access (only two steps up to get to the door). The room seemed pretty clean except I noticed about a 6" light colored hair right in the middle of the floor. I also noticed my feet must have gotten pretty dirty when I got in the shower and they turned the water black! Probably from the bathroom floor. I suspect that 'Pet Friendly' hotels like this are harder to keep clean, and this room needed a good deep cleaning. Two other minor annoyances: 1) Noisy frig This is not the first time that a small frig has kept me up at night in a hotel room. 2) TV remote intermittent I first thought it may be batteries. Night clerk gave me a fresh pair, and no difference. Later I discovered that the Cable box had fallen behind the TV stand/frig cabinet. I was able to pull it out of the tangled cables and put it on a shelf. After that it worked normally. The staff was helpful and provided glass wine glasses (from the bar) upon request. As noted by many others, the breakfast was WAY better than expected. Better than some B&B's! Omelettes and scrambles to order with about 12 fillings to choose from, and a special salmon omelette! Other options include gluten-free bread, sugarless syrup, and all of the usual options (2 Waffle makers, bagels, muffins, juice...), plus hot french toast, sausages, scrambled egg...). The staff really seemed to pride themselves in their service and quality food.

The staff were friendly, the hotel was clean, the view was not an ocean view but it was beautiful and the breakfast that was included in the room price was fantastic. The pool was a bonus for the kids.

The front desk clerk Asa was very professional and made sure I knew what all the amenities were and where they were located, as well as, time of operation. Our room had a beautiful view of the river and was spacious. The beds were comfortable and it looks modern. It's in close proximity to a variety of things in Florence. I heard good things about their restaurant, but I had eaten elsewhere before arriving, but their breakfast is over the top excellent. They have an omelette bar and it helped solve some problems I have with my families odd dietary issues.

The river view was fantastic. We ate dinner at the restaurant and it was great. The breakfast had so many yummy options. Our family was able to get what they each wanted. We loved the indoor pool and hot tub.

We have stayed here before and it has a lovely view if you reserve early enough and ask for a view room. The included breakfast rivals any morning meal I've had and I would be happy to stay there again. Oftentimes the coast has rooms that are very well used and seem a bit off. The rooms here are well serviced, clean, and have good river views. If you have any mobility problems, ask for rooms that are mobility friendly..

Unexpected suprise...Some of the best food we have ever had...flavor off the charts. Rooms are clean and modern...being a BW Rewards member i have stayed in alot of BW hotels and this rates my fav so far.

The Pier Point Inn is located across the river from the Florence "downtown" area of Bay street. It is a short walk across the bridge to Bay Street and the location of shops and restaurants. The Inn is clean and the staff are friendly. The included breakfast has made to order eggs which is a real treat.

Nothing terrible, just overpriced for what it is. They have no elevators, hot tub is the size of a bathtub, they won't let you use water on the sauna etc.. The real reason for the low score is that there is a second wing of the hotel with no balconies or bay views. I wanted to pay for an upgrade to the nicer wing that you see in the pictures. I was told no because I booked with a third party service and it was "too hard" for the desk person to do an upgrade. Your experience may vary, but make sure you know where your room is!

Spent a day at the beach with my dog and stayed over night. Happy to find a clean, nicely appointed, viewpoint location like this hotel that accepts my furry friend. Room was nice, scenic view of bay, full breakfast exceeded expectations in quality and preparation.

I was very impressed with this hotel. It is right on the river and we had an amazing view from our room. The room was large, clean, and nicely decorated. We didn't hear a peep from guests in surrounding rooms, which was fantastic. We enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub very much. The free breakfast was a nice bonus and I was excited to find out that they even served made to order omelets. I highly recommend this hotel in beautiful Florence, Oregon. I hope to return soon and will definitely stay at Best Western Pier Point Inn again.

Best view, very clean and awesome deck to enjoy a view of downtown Florence, the bridge and Siuslaw river. Delicious hot breakfast with out of the world omeletes made with what must be love by Laura! And breakfast is included with your room at no additional cost. Yum..waffles, banana bread, juice, coffee, potatos... Travis at front was so gracious and accommodating..

This hotel has a very beautiful view of the river and great friendly and kind staff. My kids enjoyed the pool that also had a great view of the river. Pool was a nice size pool and they also had a jacuzzi which was both indoor. We only had time in the morning to enjoy the pool so it was great the water was warm. The breakfast was made to order custom eggs. My husband had delicious scrambled with veggies and my son and I had omelet. Both delicious as well. My other son had French toast and potatoes which were yummy. The lobby had a piano and my son who is taking lessons enjoyed playing a bit of tune. Overall, this was a ultimate favorite hotel during our road trip. We will be stopping by when we travel that way again!

Hotel was clean, staff were very nice, breakfast was awesome with alot of fresh options. We were able to have a room with a view and a balcony. If you are unable to use stairs for pool access, you will not be able to swim, use hottub or sauna, there is no elevator or ramp access for wheelchair.

The location is convenient and the view of the bridge and the bay are excellent from the dining room. The individually prepared omelet by Donna at the courtesy full breakfast was excellent. The two downsides were no elevator, which meant lugging bags up and down stairs and the lighting in the rooms was very, very dim. The courtesy and helpfulness of the staff made up for the hard work with the bags.

We really didn't want to spend $183 but we loved the view of the river and the bridge from our balcony. Being elderly, I was concerned about being on the top floor. I just can't carry our luggage up and down stairs that easily anymore. But, the management assured us that because they knew that not having an elevator can be a problem, that they would help us with our luggage. And they certainly did. Promptly and with a smile. The room itself was lovely, although my cousin found that the uneven floor was a problem. The real disappointment was with the dog walk area. Just way too small. Fantastic restaurant. Yes, I was surprised too. A great restaurant at the hotel. But I highly recommend the coconut shrimp. Overall, very nice.

Room is brilliant, overlooking the river, balcony for a glass of wine or morning coffee. The decor is first class. Very comfortable. Very, very quiet. Amazing view. We travel continuously all over the US. pier Point Inn is by far and away the best value. Their restaurant is excellent, very reasonably priced and excellent choices.

Have lived in Florence for 5 years and just discovered Bay View Bistro! A casual but intimate setting with fabulous food prepared by Chef Scott and served by Greg! We loved bringing our out of town family and friends and the view was extraordinary and we didn't feel like 'the herd' dining in Old Towne.

We have went to the buffet dinners and to the restaurant at the Best Western a few times on the 4th of July to see the fireworks. The resturant was ok except my husbands pasta dinner was really watery but when he complained they didn't charge us for his meal (that he didn't eat). But the buffets we had were great, they had a great selection and the mac and cheese was so good I got the chefs recipe, he was so nice and e-mailed his cut-down recipe to me so I wouldn't have to make a huge batch. One year the fog moved in and we couldn't see the fireworks but that was out of their control. My only complaint is the dinner starts around seven but the fireworks don't start until ten, I wish they had the dinner a little later. The table next to us brought cards and games to keep their kids busy so I'm sure they had been there before. We never stayed in the rooms but I'm pretty sure they would have a great view too.

Restaurant is a gem overlooking river and the service is friendly and attentive. Our room was very clean with modern touches. We enjoyed the chairs on the patio overlooking the river too. The omelette bar in the morning was another big plus!! Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Great stay.

My husband and I had a wonderful weekend. Beds were very comfortable, and rooms looked recently updated. Our room had a beautiful view of the river. The staff were wonderful! Everyone we encountered was nice, and welcoming. Front desk was very knowledgeable on must see, and do things in the area. The free breakfast offered was AMAZING! We slept in a little and thought we would be too late for breakfast, since it was close to closing time, but we were impressed to find the food was still fresh and well stocked. We had plenty of options to choose from, and they even make omelets to order. My husband loved his salmon omelet. My personal favorite was the banana bread that they make from scratch! They should sell that by the loaf! It was so good! Thank you to the breakfast staff Laura, Sara, Donna, Toni, and Tim for providing us with the best breakfast we have had on our entire trip!

My Hubby surprised me and my pup with a quick Mother's Day trip to Florence and we stayed at this beautiful hotel on the river. The front desk customer service provided by Candy and Travis was absolutely superb! I am all about great customer service. Our pet friendly king room with a balcony of the beautiful river looking towards the bridge was great. The breakfast provided was one of the best offered at any hotel during our travels, but since we had to take turns to eat, due to bringing our pup, when I showed up at 930am they were starting to put items away and I felt like my options were limited compared to my hubby's. Other than that....the stay was very nice and would definitely return again soon.

A small Best Western but very nice. It us my fault no names appear I lost the card. Now front desk lady was very nice. Held our luggage while we roamed Florence we were really early. Flabby is big and bright. Clean and cookies were warm.. A ramp to our room avoided stairs nice touch for my old knees. Even got help out main front door w/my luggage. Very nice young smiling man. Room was nice clean bright and great view of bay all rooms had bay viewing. There was a nice balcony with chairs and a small table. I enjoyed that porch. It was very quite place. Now the pool was a jaunt down 4 flights of stairs no clue as you head down and no elevator. Yet it to had a great bay view and 2 fuzziness, and a sauna. We used them all Would stay there again

I took my mom to dinner at the on site restaurant. The food was just fantastic, thank you Chef Scott!! Our host and server was Greg, very friendly and helpful, made the whole evening fun. To top it off, the ambiance was wonderful and the view so beautiful. I cannot say enough good thing about the experience, this little place is a GEM.

I have stayed 3 nights in BW in Florence, Oregon (Pier Point Inn) in the past several years. Overall, I rank the motel as the best I've stayed in during the past 20 years or more, with the best breakfasts I have eaten, as far as I recall. Superb.

One of the nicer hotels we stayed at on a recent trip out west. Rooms are comfortable, though smallish. Lovely view of the Siuslaw River from our 2nd floor balcony. Nice breakfast with made-to-order omelets and scrambles. We ate at the on-site restaurant for supper both nights. Fresh seafood entrees were particularly good. Nice amenities, pleasant staff and location convenient to attractions, shops and other restaurants. The only downside to this property is the fact that there is no elevator.

Totally enjoyed our stay but on our last morning the power in our room went out so no power in the bathroom. Hence no blow dryer for the hair. otherwise it was a nice stay. Don't stay in room 344. Power is very unstable. Also some drunk lady kept trying to use her card key on our door the first night so that was kind of annoying. Even after we told her this wasn't her room she kept trying.

My family and I had 2 rooms. My brother had a baby and a dog and my mom and I shared a room with my 2 year old. Everyone was extremely accommodating and understanding with our kids. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back, thank you!

We take many road trips and this was the best of the best. We need pet friendly and they have a nice little grass area for dogs. The view is is incredible and the breakfast is wonderful...they even have an omelette station. We wish we could have stayed longer.

This is a great stop on the Oregon Coast with great views of the river. Our room was very spacious with a comfortable king bed. The breakfast the next morning was made to order for both my wife and I. Will stay again .

Stayed overnight. Stopped about 7 PM. Queen room overlooking river. Had a drink and crabcakes appetizer in restaurant. Great service great food. Breakfast the best free breakfast on whole trip. Driven 3500 miles. Smoked salmon made to order omelette to die for. Will recommend to anyone driving up 101. Glad we stopped.

This hotel is in a great location and the staff friendly. We had an enjoyable meal in the restaurant but rather surprised to discover we could not charge this back to our room as it was a separate entity. This is not unusual in hotels, but was a first for me in 30 years of staying in hotels up to 200 nights a year to not be able to recharge to my room. Breakfast was basic, our room was clean but did not smell fresh which was disappointing, even keeping the window open did not help. The location of the hotel was terrific, staff welcoming and with a fresh smelling room would have been a better experience.

Fairly new or recently renovated property right overlooking the bay in Florence. Very nice area plus fairly quiet even though is in very near Highway 101. Cozy restaurant right on the property offers a view of the bay. Reasonable prices combined with excellent service.

Wow! Fantastic views of the river and historic bridge. Rooms a little dated but still comfortable and clean. Delicious in house restaurant with take out available, and nice bar while waiting for food. Delicious breakfast!! Wow. Made to order and GF bread options. That was a huge surprise. Kiddos enjoyed the pool and hot tub too. Hotel dog friendly too. What a great surprise!

This BW was at the top of our list. Ordinarily we would dine out of the hotel, but being late and tired, we opted for onsite dining. What a great decision that was. Excellent menu and excellent chef. In addition, breakfast had the best choices of any BW we've stayed in, including made to order omelettes.

We came to Florence on the spur of the moment after learning that the Vietnam Veterans' War Memorial replica was being displayed at the local middle school. We had no concept of this property and certainly had no high expectations. This property is well located, with river views and within walking distance of downtown. The rooms are nicely decorated, clean and appear recently renovated. The staff is friendly, helpful and professional. This hotel appears to have superior management and training. We highly recommend the morning breakfast. It, like the rest of the hotel, is of high standards and quality

Great Motel for a family. Pool and hot tub are great for kids. The breakfast is great and the restaurant is also have a great selction and descent price. The motel is minutes away from the Oregon dunes. The ocean and other activities.

Arrived at night, had time for a bite and dog walk. Comfy room and bed. Daytime walk for dog is nice with a view. View from our room balcony was great. Friendly staff and great breakfast! This was a little oasis in midst of a long rainy drive up the coast.

As you enter Florence you are able to see the hotel sitting on the edge of the river. We pulled in and from the moment we had spoke with reception we had nothing short of an amazing time. The restaurant in the hotel is amazing, there were fresh cookies during check in (thank you - long drive and we were starving), every staff member had always had a smile on at all times. I can find a hotel anywhere but customer service just seems to be the biggest challenge but that was not the case here. I wish we couldv'e stayed longer. Such a great team!

Good breakfast, clean room but nothing worth $200 for a night. Pool was not supervised and drunk people were putting their babies with dirty diapers in the pool & hot tub. Didn't supply towels or monitor the pool area. The heating system in the room was really loud and made it hard to sleep. The floors were a vinyl laminate style, no carpet and cold. Didn't feel very warm and inviting. I've stayed in Best Western hotels in the Willamette Valley and they were way better than this. This was a typical coast hotel with a way over priced tag. Only good things were the breakfast and the location. We won't be staying there again.

Highly disappointed in the service. Check in isn't until 4pm which is out of the normal in the first place, but we came at 4 and no dice. Came back at 6pm and room not ready still. Finally ready after 9pm. If kids in strollers do not go as they have no elevator for all the stairs you have to take to get to your room. Place is otherwise nice for being on the coast. Breakfast is ok. The gal making omelettes and eggs is good, otherwise it's just like any other continental breakfast.

This is a real find. Our room was huge, with a balcony overlooking the Siuslaw River, and the town of Florence and historic bridge across the way. Room had 2 sinks, large fridge, microwave, and high-quality Sony HDTV. Great sofa and table with 3 chairs, and multiple mirrors. Closet came with safe for valuables. Towels were substantial, very thick. And the hotel provided 4 sets of towels! We would have liked feather pillows, but we didn't ask for them- we had 5 pillows! Staff was very friendly. Breakfast even came with made-to-order waffles and the creamiest/richest yogurt.

Overall while the room was a bit tight and dark it was still very good. The staff, especially reception upon arrival, was simply GREAT!!! The food OUTSTANDING, especially the hot breakfast where the omelettes are made to order, was a tremendous touch.. The outside was a bit dingy and dirty, especially on the north end. We would absolutely give this establishment another stay in the future.

Ray at the front desk made sure are stay was excellent. Also the Breakfast Ladies did a great job with hot fresh breakfast and service. Staff here are very customer service savvy! I will stay here again

Spent one night here and were pleasantly surprised with the property. There was plenty of room for parking and the rooms and common areas have all been updated. Our room was spacious and in wonderful condition with a view of the river. Our room was also quiet and comfortable. The towels were thick and the shower gel in the shower was appreciated. The exercise room was small but worked for us. The breakfast exceeded our expectations: egg and omelette station, breakfast potatoes, sausage, biscuits and gravy. The breakfast room had been updated and had views of the river. We found staff to be friendly and helpful. A wonderful stay.

1) She is GENEROUS. She took the time out of her night to transport 8 of us teenagers in her personal van back to our hotel across town last weekend. 2) She is an excellent conversationalist. We all had such an amazing time talking to Lisa on the trip and beforehand as well. 3) She has a very cute dog that we saw before getting in the van. 4) She is funny. She was telling lots of jokes and making us all very happy despite us being upset earlier that the taxi service would take almost an hour to pick us up after our event, we were standing outside in heels, dresses, and slacks in the cold/rain, and our event was cut short due to a lack of an AUX cable. 5) She is understanding. She understood our dilemma and immediately offered her time and gas, no questions asked.

My party stayed in another hotel Driftwood Shores and we had an event in the Best Western conference center and when we left the taxi service was going to take more than 50 mins to get there. So Lisa took it apon herself to drive my 6 person group back to our hotel in her own car. A saint.

This hotel and it's staff is wonderful. The restaurants food and staff were great. I felt like I got good value for my money. The hotel is located on the river and if you have a river view it is beautiful no matter what time of year. The hotel is close to old town Florence. There is also sand dunes close by.

Crusty stinky dog pee and hair pooled on sheets, deep into the mattress. We had to sleep in one bed. Managers refused to give a refund. Heater also got super hot in the night, much higher than it was set, waking everyone up. Cleaning crew gave massive knock and immediately barged into the room at 9 am. Completely unacceptable. Very overpriced. Lowest recommendation.

We enjoyed our stay in Florence at the Best Western. Rooms were updated and clean. We requested a pet room and it's one of the nicest pet rooms we've stayed in. We didn't try the restaurant but the breakfast was very good. All of the staff we encountered were pleasant and helpful.

This is a great and friendly place to stay if you have pets, kids, and a hungry stomach. Friendly staff very accommodating, good breakfast that's included in the price of your stay as well as an awesome Bistro. Fantastic View as well. Thanks staff.

What a gem the Bay view bistro is. We stumbled upon it because we stayed at the hotel. The food was outstanding the butternut squash soup was the best we've ever had, the wait staff was friendly welcoming and helpful.

Beautiful property, excellent view, friendly staff, great variety for breakfast included waffles, hot cereal and eggs cooked to order for you was a wonderful perk, plenty of parking, enjoyed our stay.

Best westerns are the BEST! Always able to find one on the road and always clean! Breakfasts are the best there and make it so easy to eat and then get back on the road! And the pools and hot tubs are always a nice treat! We will return!

Hello! Very happy with our stay here. We are staying in a pet friendly room overlooking the Siuslaw River with "The City LIghts" on the other side. Very happy. The floors are pergo and a little uneven due to settling of the hotel but who cares. The room is clean and well appointed. You can actually take a bath in the bathtub. Good shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. Microwave/frig. Room quiet, private. The on site restaurant is very good, with nice ambiance. ALL of the hotel staff is wonderful! Truly very service oriented. You get a made to order eggs with breakfast, included in the price. Upscale breakfast. My only complaint!~ INCONSIDERATE pet owners. They have a pet owner, with bags and a depository right next to it. My schnauzer stepped in someone else's business. PLEASE. Why people can't do the right thing and clean up after their pets is beyond my comprehension. This of course is not the hotel's fault, rather a plea to fellow pet owners to do the right thing!

Highly recommend Pier point. Nice rooms with good view and excellent breakfast. The staff were very nice and helpful too. Overall it was a good experience and definitely would stay at this place again.

This is our third Best Western in that many nights. Just automatically look for BW now. I know that it will be good service and a good room. No more guessing. Had one bad experience in choosing a "no name brand" hotel on this trip. Already booked BW for tomorrow night. Room is great, clean, comfortable, quiet.

I am very impressed with this Best Western. Very clean with friendly service. Great morning breakfast omelets. Custom-made. Great views and a decent exercise room. We will stay here again. One of the nicest hotels if not the best on the coast.

Beautiful river location near Florence's Old Town. Rooms are comfortable and have a view of the river. Friendly and efficient staff. We had dinner and drinks in the attached restaurant/bar (happy hour available) and were extremely happy with the well prepared food and beautiful presentation. In addition to a bigger than usual selection of fresh fruit, cereal, pastries, meats, waffles, etc. for the free breakfast they also have a wonderful made-to-order omelet bar. Overall, an A+ Best Western.

The hotel was very quiet,cute, clean I love the view and the breakfast bar is great, I love way this place is decorated. I would come recommend it and come back!!!! I would highly recommend it!! The front desk staff was nice. the only thing I would change it the breakfast staff could be more pleasant. That is my only suggestion.

I've stayed here numerous times and it's my first choice in Florence. The rooms are super clean and comfortable. The view day or night is excellent and I've found the room very relaxing for reading on the couch and looking out at the impressive view. Super breakfast that is fresh with eggs cooked as you choose. Excellent restaurant and lounge. Staff were friendly, helpful and make you feel welcome.

Really enjoyed our say. The deck off the room was great and view of the city amazing. The lounge was very nice as we had a nice New Years Eve dinner and cocktails, then able to take a shuttle to the Casino.

I knew I'd probably like this property from all the good reviews but I was a little concerned by the exterior, frankly it looks quiet dated and a little rundown but the lobby was really nice and our room was really nice! We were on the second floor and had a balcony with great view of the river. Our room looked like it was recently renovated, I loved having laminate flooring instead of carpet. The bathroom was unusually large as well. Another great aspect of the hotel is it's location, walk ten minutes across the bridge and you're in Old Town, we really enjoyed walking around after dinner. Best of all was the absolutely amazing breakfast! They do eggs to order and my smoked salmon omelette was delicious! The breakfast room overlooks the river and had amazing views. We loved this property and would definitely return.

Unfortunately, this wasn't a good stay for a few reasons. Our check-in process was rushed and I was being multi-tasked with other guests. I had questions about the cost (which was higher than when I made the reservation), the front desk employee accepted the charges on the card reader on my behalf before I could get my questions out and then tried to give my room key to someone else because they assumed we were together. The parking spaces were very tight and most of the vehicles in the parking lot were SUVs and trucks, which don't fit well in those tight spots. Our dog hated the pet area so it was a struggle and we had to take the dog on a long walk away from the property for potty times. The room had hard floors, which I initially thought was a good idea to make cleaning easier, but in reality with rainy coast weather, the floors ended up to be a mess! There was nowhere to really wipe off our shoes so the wet, muddy stuff ended up all over the place in the room. The floors were sort of sticky (maybe residue of cleaning products) so definitely not comfortable walking around in socks or bare feet. The room was in good condition and we had a nice view of the water. The complimentary breakfast and employees working in the breakfast area were great. It was definitely a bonus to have real eggs made to order instead of the usual powdered eggs that come with a complimentary breakfast. Overall, I really couldn't wait for our stay to be over though.

We had a family celebration in Florence and chose to book a hotel to have our own space. A great value to use Best Western points for our two night stay. Our river view King with hardwood floors and a private balcony was spacious, bed was comfortable too. Our room had beautiful night view of the lights of “town” across the river. We were booked in a lower category but Sean was very gracious in giving us an upgrade as property wasn't very full. Free breakfast included an omelet station; my smoked salmon, capers and cheese omelet was delicious. Non guests can pay $12 for breakfast buffet too. There is an indoor pool with sauna and jacuzzi. My only word of caution is that second floor rooms involve walking up outside stairs. I look forward to future visits when family's home is full. We are told that the hotel has the best views of 4th of July fireworks. We will return!

Super impressed! Quality, cleanliness, friendliness of staff, exceptional view! And the included breakfast just topped it off! Smoked salmon omelet with additional ingredients of your choice, made to order choices, great selection of breakfast items, With a spectacular view to dine by! My teenagers were as impressed as I! The fact that the hotel is pet friendly made it possible for us to join our Florence family for a family Christmas! I can remember when the Pier Point Inn was built, been around for all its up's and downs over the years. I was so impressed with this remodel and it is now the best version of itself! The Christmas decorations are beautiful as well. Can't say enough good things. Will stay again next time!

Quirky maze-like layout of rooms w/lots of stairs to traverse, particularly in the section where we stayed. Our room had large picture window facing towards river and bridge. Good bed, adequate lighting for reading & vanity, though there were several dark areas. Reasonably spacious, quiet room. Excellent full breakfast w/to-order omelet bar, juices, cereals, yogurt & good coffee. Eating area faced onto water (it appeared that all rooms had river views). The Inn feels a bit dated & could stand a freshening of decoration, paint, etc. However everything in the room seemed functional.

Staff went above and beyond to accommodate my illness. The bed was to die for, I wanted to take it home with me. The selection of hot breakfast items was spectacular with several gluten free options!! Finally the view of the river and the bridge was awesome.

I am sitting on the bed looking out the sliding glass door of our room. I see the architecture of the bridge we were on to get here, beautiful. The water way the flows under it is amazing. I can see homes and buildings on the other side that exemplify what Oregon water towns are. Pine trees fill in the gaps. I highly recommend this Best Western. We just ate at the restaurant and the omelettes were amazing, as good as any in higher priced restaurants.

This place has amazing views of the river and the town of Florence! Room are big and very clean. The hotel staff, Shawn, Ray and Laura were the best! I HIGHLY recommend this place! Price was also great! Breakfast was delicious, they even make you your own omelettes!

Beautiful view. One morning 2 bald eagles flew by at eye level- what a thrill! It was close to everything and the staff was helpful and cheerful. We will be back. Breakfast was served til 10AM which was so nice.

Room was quiet but down a lot of stairs with no lifts – beware if you have heavy luggage like us. The room floor was very dirty when we arrived. It was hard floor that hadn't been vacuumed, so loads of bits of mud and stuff, but rest of room and bathroom was cleaner. Bit dark and dingy but we slept OK. Beware if you have prepaid – we had, but were charged again when we handed over our card and ID, no apology, and we still haven't received a refund yet (now 2 weeks later). Breakfast was fine, omelettes made to order and tasty pastries, helpful serving staff and nice views over the water.

We decided to find hotels as we traveled down the Oregon Coast and this property was a gem! Ray our front desk attendant also fixed our car on his day off when we checked out. Now that far exceeds normal customer service. Everything was wonderful to check-in, the pool and hot tub, wonderful comfy beds and internet. The huge bathroom was awesome too! We are already planning our trip for next year so I am sure we will see you again.

Everyone working there was very extremely nice. Our room was super clean with a balcony with a beautiful view of the river. It was also very quiet/well insulated. We brought our dog and there was a special place to take him for "bathroom visits". We ate from the restaurant inside the hotel that was good. The free continental breakfast was over the top. They made omelets to order and had a variety of breakfast foods, both hot and cold, too numerous to be able to mention. I look forward to getting to stay there again!

We had a 2 night stop at this delightful hotel which is prettily situated on the river bank. The welcome at reception was warm and friendly. The room was nicely furnished and the bathroom a reasonable size. The beds were comfortable. The dinner choices were good and the plates were attractively presented by charming waitresses. The bar is rather small with only 6 or 7 chairs but with a good selection of drinks. The cooked to order breakfast was very tasty and there was an excellent choice of dishes. What more could we ask?

We had driven from Portland on family roadtrip without reservations anywhere. From the time we checked in til we checked out we enjoyed our stay. they gave us a room in the main building so we only had to go downstairs to the indoor pool and hot tubs and upstairs for the great breakfast options. Cooked to order omelets and more. We had a chirping smoke detector during the night, and informed the front desk they may need to change the battery?. Great views and only a few minutes drive to the Dunes...loved it. Downtown Florence had great shopping and restaurant options too. We would stay here again if in Florence.

this was a great hotel our room was clean and we had a view of the river with a balcony it was a wonderful place to stay and when we come back to Florence we will stay here. Food in main dinning room was excellent Crab cakes are excellent! Ray at front desk was wonderful and fun to talk to. All the employees were wonderful and so very helpful

From the time we checked in with Shawn it was easy to see this place was special. Shawn was an awesome host and offered suggestions that were spot on. The restaurant was fantastic with service by Lisa that made our evening so much fun. The food was as amazing as well. The room has been updated and was super comfortable and nicely decorated. The breakfast was made to order and fantastic. I'd definitely stay here again!

I called best western reservations to book two, king balcony water view rooms on the third floor. We checked in around 5pm and we received two king rooms with no balcony, bottom floor and no water view (our view was a retaining wall). When I called the front desk they couldn't give us the rooms we were guaranteed and we paid a lot of money for those rooms. Apparently, when booking it went through reservations.com. I feel no matter who the third party booking is, the hotel is taking the money and should make this right. We paid for something we did not get. For this reason I will never stay at this hotel or recommend it to anyone. We were done wrong.

We love this restaurant! The food is always delicious. We have tried the steaks, fish, pastas, appetizers, desserts. The meal is always amazing. The head chef there could win awards for his creations! And Lisa and her staff always make you feel welcome. The extra bonus to a great meal and great service is the view of Florence! Thank you Bay view for always making it a wonderful night out for us!

Had placed my reservation months in advance. Arrived at 3:15 pm. Room not ready. 4 PM, room not ready. Finally got into our room after we went into town for dinner. The toilet in our room was just the right size - FOR MY CAT! Small, round and low. Rooms are on the small size compared to most other Best Westerns. Stayed for two days. House keeping never made it to our room the second day due to personnel shortage. Ending on a positive note, nice view of the river. Breakfast was very good with made to order eggs. Two hot tubs, but the pool is small, 10m by 5m. Not big enough or deep enough for swimming laps. Parking kind of cramped, especially if you have to park next to a full size truck or SUV.

Every aspect of our experience was terrific from arrival through to our leaving. Everyone was eager and prepared to make us feel welcome. I'm sure anyone wishing to visit the Florence area would be well served to stay here.

I couldn't have been more pleased! My partner and I live in Florence and im sad to say had never ate here. When I decided to propose I needed a place that could accommodate our family, friends, our time frame, and would look nice in pictures. I had heard some good things about the food so seemed like a good fit. The staff went so far above and beyond anything I would have expected. Lisa and the amazing waitress in the pink top (I think her name was Shanna) met our every need! Because the proposal was a surprise, my gf ended up being over an hour late (she thought we were just getting food lol). The staff made sure that my family and our friends stayed comfortable, kept their drinks fresh, let them rearange the room, provided speakers for music... The waitress checked on us constantly, and were so supportive. Now for the food! WOW! We are a pretty picky bunch. My Oscar Beef was to die for! The appetizers were on point, try the pork empanadas! Everyone of my guests raved about their dinner and dessert. We will now be regulars here for sure. I wish I would have taken pictures but we were too busy enjoying.

We usually fly to most distane sites but we have friends and relatives in Oregon and we find it better to spend about ten hours to drive from Santa Rosa, CA to Florence, OR. Its always nicer to have your own car to get around.The Best Western Pier Point hotel provides breakfast for hotel stays. This hotel also has a restaurant. We enjoyed one dinner there. The menu has a nice variety of appetizers, salads, seafood, steaks, deserts and a bar.The hotel is nice and clean. There are NO elevators. The rooms are large enough to accommodate us and a king sized bed without giving up much space. The TV was good but for some reason they did not get the Eugene Ducks game, which was a big boo, but my wife did get to see some tennis. It was quiet and we had a good view of Florence from our balcony that looked across the Suslaw River. The air conditioner/heater worked great. The bathroom roomy and it was furnished with a hair dryer and an adequate supply of bathroom produts. We had no problem with any of the staff.For entertanment we mostly did a lot of talking but our cousin did bring over a boat and he and his family went out and got some crab which were outrageously good. We also watched him and a member of his family use a canoe to kind of be an escort to his daughter who was learning to use a paddle board. As far as eating in Florence is concerned I would recommend MO's. Be sure you get the clam chowder.

My husband and I spent the long Labor Day weekend at the Best Western Pier Point Inn. Each evening we opted to eat at the Bay View Bistro which is at the hotel. Our service was exceptional each evening and the food was delicious. Lisa I. was our server each time. She was attentive, personable, and we really enjoyed chatting with her during our service. We will definitely be visiting again.

This was a wonderful hotel! When we arrived there were warm cookies waiting. My boys went and played a piano while I checked in. There was a neat fountain outside the building. Our top floor room has a great view of the bay. I think the site said all rooms have bay views, but there was quite a bit of shrub growth that I was really glad I asked for the top floor. Hardwood type flooring. Beds were super comfortable and a variety of pillow options so hopefully you'll find something you like. LOVED that there was a screen on the slider. As you may know rooms along the coast don't usually have air conditioning so no fan. This was the first night of our road trip where the room didn't feel stuffy. We felt very comfortable leaving the slider open with the screen door. Bedroom was a little small but it worked for my family of 4. Bathroom was large. Only thing I can think to mention was there was just a bit of pink on the bathroom mat and there was a significant slope in the transition from the bathroom to the bedroom. Breakfast was the BEST! Made to order eggs. My husband had an omelet and I had a scramble with fresh veggies and meat. Good coffee and homemade breakfast pastries. Had fresh cut fruit and then the usual extras. Staff was so wonderful all throughout our stay. Next time we are in Florence we will certainly stay here.

Room floor was vinyl and it was dirty, yes it was a pet friendly room but should be cleaned between guest. The heat did not work the first night however, when we reported it the next morning they took care of it immediately.

This is one place that the pictures does not do it justice. We booked it on line and upon arrival we pleasantly pleased at what we saw. A gorgeous hotel sitting on the bay...the views are to die for..

Although this hotel is a bit more spendy than some others we did enjoy our stay there. The location is good, view great. Breakfast was better than most with made to order omelets and other fresh foods. Staff is friendly. Couple small issues with the room but we worked around them. Hot tub could be hotter for my liking. Dry sauna was nice after it warmed up from having been off.Overall a nice place to stay.

This is a beautiful hotel and the upgrades are amazing. The Staff is friendly, helpful, kind, and courteous. Really great customer service. Someone is training them well and holding them accountable. The breakfast was great and the cooks and servers were so awesome! It got a little crazy for a while because of the number of people with families that were going through coincidentally at the same time as us, but that's not your fault. It appeared the hotel was full. I want to give a shout out to Ray, Shanna (restaurant), Rae Rae, and Shawn. Great employees. Now unfortunately some minor problems we had. I will list them to make it easy. 1. Old used to go coffee cup on the balcony when we checked in. 2. Post it note on the inside of the door over the peep hole, from of all places as Westin. Weird. Both issues a housekeeping thing. 3. The shower dispenser for conditioner was either broken or clogged to the point that it wasn't worth trying. 4. Our card keys failed on the first day and we had to walk back to the front desk to have them re-programmed. Long walk by the way. 5. Our card keys failed on the second day again and we had to walk back to the front desk to have them re-programmed. 6. This is just a suggestion – There is no way a customer will the work out room without assistance. No guiding signs or recognizable signs on the door. Your staff was helpful in taking us there personally.

This is my second visit. For the price my room was quite small, but the view as always was marvelous.People with dogs don't always get the primo rooms :-) The grounds need a bit of tending. People have thrown things over their balconies and it hasn't been picked up. The outdoor matting is not clean and the yellow lines to show stairs is worn away. The breakfast is quite good and the personnel extremely helpful. As were the front dest personnel.

We were let down on the view. We got to town early, but couldn't check in until 4:00. By the time we got back to the hotel later, they had no "view" rooms left. We had a view of the garden. For what we paid, it wasn't worth it. The breakfast was outstanding with made to order omelettes. Room was clean, but the beds weren't the most comfortable. Will look into another Hotel next time.

The hotel is in a great area to enjoy the views and quiet. The breakfast was amazing with made to order eggs. Room was extremely clean and having the balcony was great to sit on. A little expensive, but hey it's the beach in summer. Would highly recommend.

This review will tell you the good and the bad. We've stayed here many times and always had a good night's sleep... until now. They have remodeled the rooms and now have a new kind of mattress. I'm leaving my review here at Trip Advisor for you, the traveler, and also directly with the hotel in hopes that they will go with a different kind of mattress the next time they buy. Also, unfortunately the rooms are not hypoallergenic. There was a chemical odor I could not place; maybe a cleaner or maybe the fresh paint. Either way, I had to keep the glass door open to air out the room. That got a bit cold at night. Overall a very disappointing night's sleep. The view is always special, with river facing balconies off every room. The room was clean and linens were fine but the quality of the mattress is really quite bad. The side of the bed closest to the bathroom was more broken down as people typically choose that side to sleep in so it has obviously seen more use. Both too firm and too hard (no pillow top) these mattresses will put them out of business so I do hope they switch them out soon. It was a huge disappointment as this hotel was previously our go-to in the Florence area. I won't be staying there again until I learn they have new and different mattresses. FYI, A simple breakfast comes with your stay and the friendly person there makes your eggs to order while you watch. The food was clean and fresh so that was a plus. Let's all check back in a few months and see if the manager notes a new mattress purchase... one can hope!

Our stay was booked last-minute and I'm very happy with our choice! Our room was quiet and comfortable. They did a nice job with the recent renovation. My favorite part was the included breakfast. It was standard continental breakfast fare but there were two things that set the experience apart. First, they made really delicious omelettes to order. Second, the breakfast room staff was friendly and attentive. The ladies were so nice when my boyfriend, who was so excited to make his own waffle, really messed up with his technique and created a stuck-on-batter disaster. The breakfast room staff laughed it off and calmly worked their magic on the waffle iron, returning it to a useable condition. They made my boyfriend feel better with a few funny anecdotes about far more disasterous waffle iron mishaps. Definitely would stay here again if we are in Florence!

The room was too small and poorly lit, the floor was gritty. The room was not serviced for the 2nd night and the parking was inadequate. While the lobby and breakfast were good that did not make up for the room. I expected much more for what I paid.

Our room was on the third floor with a lovely river view of Florence Old Town. The staff was especially accommodating. Our room was clean and quiet. The complimentary breakfast was exceptional. We also liked having a restaurant located in the Inn. Note: there are many stairs to climb.

Great renovation of the inn in progress and our room was great. Everything is new and the view is phenomenal. However, the stay was dampened by the on site bistro which had a great menu and we were really looking forward to eating there. Unfortunately, reservations were necessary and we had to wait an hour and a half to get a table. Once in, we waited another 40 minutes for our drinks and food was just okay. Probably would have been better if there were adequate service staff. Our waiter tried very hard to address everyone's needs but there was clearly too much to do. The Inn should ensure there are enough servers to take care of everyone.

As a Diamond Select member of the Best Western rewards. I have stayed many nights in lots of Best Western hotels. The Pier Point Inn is in my opinion one of the very best that I have experienced. The ambiance was great and the place was decorated very nicely. Our room was VERY clean, quiet and comfortable. The river view from our deck was Spectacular. The complimentary Breakfast was a very nice event with a large selection including made to order eggs or omelets. The dining area also had a view of Florence and the river. The servers were fantastic, friendly and attentive. The desk staff was also a friendly bunch, very knowable and efficient. We want to thank everyone at the Pier Point Inn for making our weekend special and my wife and I feel welcomed.

A very nicely situated hotel with views of the river, just not from our room. it was sold as a river view room but you had to sit to the right of the window and crank your neck to see it. From most of the bedroom it was a view of a beige wall. However, the room was super clean, good linens and towels and there was nothing to complain about. We had come from a terrible place in Crescent City because all the good rooms were booked by evacuees from the fire so we lay down thankfully on a comfortable bed. The breakfast was very good indeed. Cooked to order, lots of choice and again only high praise. The staff were efficient and helpful.

Breakfast is outstanding. The views of the bay from the room and eating area are wonderful. The rooms have no carpet, which is nice, and are kept clean, and feel new. The allowance of pets is a huge perk, especially since it's the coast and no one enjoys leaving fur friends behind.

Last minute stay here got us a room with a view of the river. Very pretty. Room and beds were nice, clean but I've never had such a dark room!! Even with full shades open and both (only 2) lamps on, you could barely see what you were doing. Maybe this was due to the dark walls, linens, that seems fairly new. They could fix this with some brighter lightbulbs or more lamps. Breakfast was typical for a chain but had a fresh omelette station that we didn't try - probably was good.

Our favorite part was the breakfast staff! They were awesome and efficient. The room was just okay, it had laminate flooring which is nice instead of carpet, but it was very dirty. My biggest disappointment was the fact that we all had to walk outside through the parking lot and maneuver outside stairs to get back and forth to the pool area. That made the whole experience not so pleasant and cold. Best western is usually a reliable 4 stars, but not this time.

We only stayed one night on a road trip, and it was just ok. Our favorite part was the staff. They were all so kind and willing to help. It really was nice to have such wonderful people working there. The floors in the room were laminate, and they were actually quite dirty. Plus the worst part was that our room was a ways from the pool. Most rooms are detached from the main lobby, breakfast area, and pool. Meaning that you must walk in the cold with only a swim suit and a towel. Not to mention that you must walk up and down four flights of stairs just to get to the pool. Next time we stay in Florence, this hotel will not be our first choice.

Room 525 has a nice view of the River and Florence across the river. While the room has no access it was cool on the day we were there. WiFi was fast. Breakfast was way beyond the normal breakfast ,omlette bar was a total surprise. Smoked salmon omlette with spinach,capers(!),tomato. This was truly exceptional

Would stay here again. Rooms completely updated. Awesome fine dining and complimentary breakfast bar, eggs made to order. Super bed and bath! View of inlet bay with deck! They did this hotel right! The staff was amazing and Lisa our server in the restaurant was the best! The chefs there go over the top with homemade dressings and the seafood was amazing! Thank you for a great visit!

Since we made a quick getaway to escape the heat of the Willamette Valley, we wanted to have a comfortable place to stay while we enjoyed the Florence area. The Hotel Room was quite unique and spacious, with an extremely comfortable bed.

This was a great choice of a room with a view of Florence and the bridge. Room a bit small but the view was worth it. Clean and comfortable. No matter where we were in the hotel, if there was a hotel employee, they would have a friendly word. Always like having a restaurant in the hotel for dinner and dinner here included the view and VERY good food. The breakfast that came with our room price included fresh cooked eggs in various forms in addition to the usual pancakes, pastries, fruit, etc. The only drawback was that, being on the highway, and across the bridge from downtown Florence, it wasn't really convenient to walk between the 2, However, even being on the highway (101), we found it to be a quiet hotel. All in all, we were very happy with our choice and highly recommend it .

Staying at the Best Western Pier Point Inn was a great experience. The staff and faculty are very helpful and friendly. The room was spacious and very comfortable with a great bed and pillows and nice and clean. Beautiful grounds also. The breakfast in the morning was awesome with excellent made-to-order omelettes or eggs with sausage and ham and the other usual continental breakfast items.

Rooms were very comfortable and spacious. Older motel but very well kept. We ate dinner at their restaurant, it was very good and reasonably priced. Breakfast was wonderful. Did not expect to have a made to order meal. Will definitely add this to my stay list.

Steven Shrewsbury went way beyond what most hotel managers would to help remedy problems related to staffing shortage caused by employee illness. When our room was not ready at check-in time he did everything he could to make us comfortable and made it up to us by assigning us a quality room, reserving us our choice of restaurant tables for dinner, giving us a management discount and guarantying us the same room for our return trip a couple of days later. The desk staff were great and accommodating. The breakfast chef was super and the breakfast food was very good. Dinner at the restaurant was exquisite and the views of Florence and the bay were spectacular.

This is a great hotel with gorgeous river views from the upper level balcony as well as the restaurant and lounge. Clean and quiet and very pet-friendly with a small green area for dogs and a short walking trail behind the hotel. Shawn checked us in at the front desk and genuinely cared about making our stay a great experience and went the extra mile to make sure we were happy. The breakfast staff and all staff we encountered were also very friendly and helpful. The breakfast and make your own waffle station was a big hit with us and biscuits and gravy and perfectly cooked eggs oh my!! Great place to stay and close to Old Town.

This place was clean but dated (popcorn ceilings), our room had been renovated but cheaply (freshly painted bathroom walls over peeling wallpaper, cheap wood flooring that you can feel bumps under). The breakfast was free but I would have rather paid for something nicer. The restaurant on the property was fantastic, but not associated with the breakfast. Had a non-pet room but heard dogs barking through the walls at night. I wouldn't stay here again but I'm also kind of picky.

Front desk personnel were very friendly and very helpful. Room was clean and good, the only thing is that it had no A/C. Breakfast was great, they make omelets for you!!!! Nice view from the dining room too!! Good place to go to.

We had a lovely view of the river and the door had a screen so we could leave it open for fresh air. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. There is no elevator or laundry facilities. All walkways are outdoors. Breakfast was great. They had a good system and made eggs to order.

This hotel was the best Best Western we stayed at. They are the only ones on hwy 101 that have special breakfast made in front of you however you prefer. We stayed there twice and enjoyed it every time. Their pool has warm water and very nice ambiance.

Great location and all rooms appeared to have a waterfront view. The staff was fantastic and there were even fresh cookies when you stopped by the front desk. The breakfast was one of the best that I have had at a hotel. Made to order omelets without having to wait in a huge line. Just drop off your order and they will call your name when ready.

This is a wonderful restaurant. The last 2 times we had dinner, the food was delicious and well seasoned. The Chicken Parmesan was incredible. The empanadas were some of the best we have ever had. Plus the views of Old Town and the River is tremendous.

This was one of the best, Best Western hotel we have stayed in. The staff was outstanding and we felt like we were welcomed guests. The rooms were very clean and quiet with a great view of the river. A great breakfast with many items to choose from.

My friends and I arrived at 1am with no reservations and needed 3 rooms. Two of us had dogs and we were all able to get rooms. Breakfasts were really good. Lots to choose from and there was an great omelette station where you can place your order. The staff were all great and friendly. The room was really comfortable and my dog loved it. There's an area to walk pets in and it's a nice view. I would definitely stay here again. We dined in the restaurant for dinner and we were really happy we did.

Travelling on our Harley-Davidson,we try to stay with Best Western.They are very motorcycle friendly! We happened to stop at this hotel,and very happy we did!Great room,very clean,great views of the river from the room.Excellent breakfast and staff! So friendly and very helpful.Walking distance (or cab) to downtown pubs.Or a bar/restaurant on site! Large pool,spa and hot tub.We ended up staying three nights!Only thing missing was Guest Laundry. Oh well.One of the very best hotels we`ve stayed at.

There are 8 of us traveling from Texas ages 51, 49, 40, 39, 21, 18, 18 & 16. Normally I'd rate this place a 3, but giving it a 4 because we had access to the deck with a beautiful view of the bay, the staff has been super friendly & helpful & the breakfast has been the best by far!! There isn't a gym & the rooms are pretty small. Check in: Very easy, I would suggest you let them know when you book if you have allergies & can't be in a pet friendly room. We booked 2 rooms & when we arrived one of the rooms we were given was a pet friendly room, even though we didn't have a pet. They kindly removed the pet fee & gave a $10 discount for 1 night. My husband is severely allergic so had we been given that room we wouldn't have been able to stay. The pool has a beautiful view of the bay & is a good size. Rooms: Clean, small, 2 Queen beds, mini fridge desk & chair. Breakfast: Awesome options. You can have omelets made how you like them, waffles, pancakes, English muffins, bagels, cereal, oatmeal...healthy & unhealthy options. The view from the breakfast room is beautiful! We would absolutely stay here again!!

The room was clean and comfortable. They had a microwave, mini fridge, hair dryer. Staff was very pleasant and professional. They offer a dry sauna in addition to the pool and hot tub. Breakfast was plentiful with an omelet station. The location is across the river from old town Florence with a great view of the river. We would stay here again.

This place is great! The breakfast was amazing! We will be staying there again in the future. We travel the coast lots and this place has been in the top 8 of our preferences along the Oregon Coast. They treat Motorcycle riders super special!

Totally loved our stay here. The view was amazing as was the breakfast. Even had a cook to order egg bar ?? Room was quite comfortable & plenty of room in the bathroom for both of our “Stuff” .. Hands down, Best hotel we stayed in while visiting the Oregon Coast. Perfect location as just across the river from old town Florence

I made a reservation a month in advance during a baseball tournament weekend, because we have to prepare to be at the field sun up to sundown, and having a good hotel room to clean up and rest is crucial. I chose the Best Western because they were the only hotel in town that had a 2 room kitchen suite, which would make our stay easier so we could fix a meal in room and avoid spending time and money in restaurants. I spent extra time at home the day before to prepare food, it was all planned out! Earlier in the afternoon of my arrival, I called the front desk to let them know that our games were running behind schedule and we would be checking in at around 8pm. They assured me that they would hold my room. Great! Imagine my horror, when I showed up, all of us filthy, ravenous, exhausted and sunburned at 8:15pm, to be informed that there is no reservation for us. In addition, they don't have any available rooms at all. Positive that it must be a mistake, I told them that I had in fact spoken to a desk agent a few days prior, to adjust my reservation from a Fri and Sat night, to only Saturday night - and she not only assured me that I could keep my Saturday night room, but I would be able to get an even better rate. Turns out - she had changed my reservation to Sunday and Monday night, instead. Somehow, they can scrounge up a smaller room for us, but the charge would be more than the original price for the 2 room suite - did I want it? No. I'd rather make the 2 hour drive home for the night. I am furious with the mistake, and the lack of effort to make it right. Do Not expect to be treated well at the Florence Best Western, unless you can score a last minute room at a ridiculous price. They win, the customer loses.

We had a great time, the best part of the stay was the Breakfast. We used the pool, which was very cold, but they have a hot tub and sauna available. The views from the breakfast area was beautiful. Fun to see the river/bay. I didn't love having an entrance from the exterior of the building, but nice place over all. a little pricy, but enjoyable.

Traveling down the Oregon Coast with my "extremely fussy" sister, we happened upon this Best Western Inn on the other side of the bridge in Florence, Oregon. The lady at the front desk was so nice in her interaction with my sister, that we decided to stay. It was a GREAT decision! The food in the restaurant was amazing! The views from there and from our room were breathtaking and the complimentary breakfast had more choices than you could possibly want!....including 3 chefs cooking eggs to order. (I had a spinach and cheese omelet !) I travel a lot and this was the best breakfast I have experienced! I recommend this Inn to everyone who is looking for a memorable experience on the Oregon Coast!

We made our way down from Seattle to San Francisco and this was our first Best Western stop. Nice restaurant experience. The stuffed halibut was recommended by the front desk attendant and it did not disappoint. Also the next morning, the complimentary breakfast with omelette station was very good. Only detractor, no elevator. Overall a great value and experience. Head and shoulders over our BW experience in Eureka, CA.

Good view from our top-floor room, relaxing to sit on the balcony and watch the sunset reflected on the river. Staff was kind and helpful. Not the quietest hotel - the design is such that room doors open to the outside (not a hall) and if you aren't attentive (our next-door neighbours weren't), the pressure differential causes the door to slam loudly. Decor, room size, and ensuite are average, nothing special. However the staff and the complimentary breakfast make up for it. The breakfast is the usual (make your own waffle, etc) except for the made-to-order eggs station, which is super. The housekeeping staff (Terry, Acacia) cleaned up the sandy mess I made by tracking in half the sand from the Oregon Dunes - they must have to do this a lot! You know, you remove your shoes and socks and a litre of sand spills out. If you need to avoid stairs, this is not the hotel for you, again, due to design.

Traveling with my sister down the Oregon Coast we happened upon this Best Western and because the lady working the front desk was so nice, we decided to stay. It was a great decision as the food in the restaurant was amazing, the view from our room and the restaurant was breathtaking and their complimentary breakfast had everything you could possibly want including 3 chefs making omelets to order.. I was totally impressed and recommend this Inn to every one who is looking for a memorable experience on the Oregon Coast!

Their giant reader board advertises that they have "Amazing Views".....not from our room. We stayed in room 120 on May 14, 2018. I took several pictures to document the total lack of a view. We complained to "Candy", who stated they cannot control vegetation growth of the adjoining properties. Our pictures show total out of control vegetation growth on their own property, not the adjoining properties. Also, the stuffed chair smelled SO BAD of wet dog butt we had to put it out on the balcony. All "Candy" would say is that she would let housekeeping know about the problem. I will not be recommending this hotel to anyone.

Asked for a room with no stairs due to back problem. given two room on bottom which required lugging bags down three levels and up three when we left. Booked reservations in restaurant on site which they said was excellent, but found just average. Breakfast was best part of stay with omelets and fresh fruit.

Was sitting on the 3rd floor balcony enjoying a lovely view when I picked up my iPhone only to have it slide out of my hand, hit the deck and bounce perfectly thru the railing with ease onto the concrete and grass landing below. My husband ran down to attempt retrieval when Patti met him and came to our rescue, climbing out and around in flip flops no less! Just to retrieve my phone. WOW, talk about above and beyond! We so recommend this hotel for view, for comfort and for an exceptional staff. Thank you so much for a great stay!

We were treated with a careful attention to detail, respect an excellent care for our motorcycles. Any and every challenge that we might have had was was handled swiftly without any hassles. This property was much quieter than most of the other properties in near Old Town.

A very pleasant surprise! The rooms are clean, the bed comfortable and the view was beautiful of the bay and Old Town. The restaurant and breakfast area has the same great view. Breakfast was included, made to order egg station, homemade banana bread, coffee cake, steel cut oatmeal and sausage gravy. There was also fresh fruit and the usual breakfast items. We ate dinner in the restaurant, they have a happy hour from 4 to 6. Dinner was wonderful, lots of Gluten Free options and fresh seafood. Great service, and the creme brule was tasty!

I got in a little late, and I was warmly received. Check-in was quick, and o found my room with little effort. The room was clean and quiet. I will stay again should I visit the Oregon Coast. The hotel is near an historic bridge over the Suislow River. It's is a good point between many fo the national and State parks along the Oregon Coast.

Great stay at this hotel. Friendly check-in by staff. River view room that was spacious and comfortable. Had a nice balcony with chairs, refrigerator and microwave, full length mirror, lots of outlets, nice size bathroom with full size bathtub, pretty wood vinyl plank floors, and it was freshly painted and very clean. Other bonuses were the restaurant and bar inside the hotel so that when we were ready for dinner we didn't have to drive. They have an awesome breakfast in the morning too with made to order omelets and frittatas and great French roast coffee. They have fresh baked cookies in the afternoon. This is the place to stay if you're in the area! All staff were awesome!

Our stay at the Best Western Pier Point Inn was wonderful. The room was clean, well appointed with nice decor, love there was no carpet. Best of all was the view of the Siuslaw River, Beautiful Siuslaw Bridge and old town both night and day. The Resturant was really, very good, with excellent service. The Breakfast was also good with a nice variety of food to choose from, and the price was just right!

We checked in early to our pet friendly room... The balcony is incredible providing a spectacular view of the river and the quaint downtown. The room is very clean and spacious. The refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker are terribly convenient. We were not aware of the restaurant on the premises. They offered a happy hour. The menu is hands above the standard fair in town. The atmosphere, view and food are all above and beyond. They went out of their way to make everything incredibly delicious... Fresh, clean flavors. A MUST for dinner when in Florence. Maria at the front desk was friendly and informative. Lisa in the restaurant "Bay View" is extremely helpful and fun. Chef Scott is a refreshing food artist... You will not be disappointed by this establishment

I don't think I can say enough good things about the people who work at this Best Western. Lisa in the restaurant; Donna at the breakfast nook; Sean at the check-in desk... all provided outstanding service to us. Above & beyond the norm... each of them made us feel like family. Our room was over-looking the river (which is peaceful, calm, & beautiful) and although a bit small, the bed is comfortable and the room was spotless. We will 100% come back to stay at this Best Western location again. The food at the restaurant was fabulous; the breakfast provided was great; and the location is convenient to Florence, Reedsport, North Bend, and Coos Bay. Only "down" side - the a/c - heat unit as a bit noisy. That's about it. The rest was top of the line good. Truly can't say enough good about the staff at this location - they are the best of the best. Thank you to you all even the ones I didn't get the names of... you all made our stay so pleasant.

This place is amazing, first thing you see when you drive in is the small waterfall to the left of the entrance. You walk through the door and onto your right is the check in/out counter. If you looks straight ahead that's the area where they serve the free continental breakfast. Let me tell you the food was excellent! You grab a paper with a list of the choices on how you want your eggs cooked and they'll cook it for you. They had a good selection of food. Cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, sausages, and way more stuff than I can remember. The best part was the make your own waffles which had a heart in the middle with a BW on it which I thought was a cute touch. I put some marionberry syrup with whip cream on mine. SO GOOD! As far as drinks they have coffee, orange and apple juice, milk, water. To the left of the check in is the Bay View Bistro. Man is their food amazing and the view. The waiter was nice. The only thing I'd say is the seating area is a little small for both places. So if your a big group hopefully you don't have to wait long. The room we booked was a two queen bedroom. The shower head is great for those who like it gentle or a little harder. The room was spacious. The whole hotel was very quiet felt like we were the only ones there. I don't know if it was because we went in the spring rather than summer? They have a sauna, pool and hot tub. Great for relaxing. It looks like they were adding another hot tub but I am not certain. Location is great, if you want to go see old town. It is across the river, you could even walk there if you wanted. The overall experience was greater than I had anticipated and we only stayed there one night! I would definitely recommend this place if you are staying in Florence. I will defiantly be back.

Heading North the BW is located on the South end of the bridge on the Siuslaw River, across the river from the old town of Florence. We had a great King room, watched the few boats on the river (not so busy in April!) and the twinkling lights of old town located across the bridge and on the North side of the river. The hotel was quite busy, reception friendly and efficient however no breakfast service. Plenty parking. The room was clean and quiet and the king bed comfortable. We had dinner at the hotel. A new restaurant opened . It is quite small with tables and a small bar & was busy. Staff attentive and helpful in filling our order, Moderate prices. Convenient yet quiet. A place we would return to, we would try the pool and sauna next time.

Wonderful breakfast included and a great dinner at the restaurant. Nice rooms with a fantastic view of the bay. Relatively small quiet hotel with very helpful and friendly staff. This is not a luxury hotel but a very clean comfortable hotel that we would visit again.

Like most Best Western Plus; very clean, friendly, & great staff. Our room was very nice & larger than we expected. We had a great view of the river & the city of Florence. Very convenient location; right on HWY 101, & set up so it's very quiet. The best surprise was the restaurant. The dinner menu is huge, and the cooks do a super great job! I had a crab cake dinner (with a bowl of clam chowder), my wife had one of their huge burgers. Everything was perfect. The breakfast spread was also great, with make to order eggs or omelets. We'll definitely stay here again!

It was quite lovely, when we checked in, Candy and Shawn at the front desk were friendly, and helpful. My husband is a diamond member with Best Western and he was impressed. The room was comfortable, with a beautiful view of the bay. They have an indoor pool, hot tub, and dry sauna we found relaxing. In the morning the breakfast is wonderful and Jennifer impressed my husband buy making him a smoked salmon omelette. Sarah kept our table clear of used plates with a cheerful smile. The whole breakfast crew was very helpful. We dined at the Bay View restaurant on Saturday evening, and had a charming waitress named Mary. She kept our tea glasses full, and checked on us often. She was delightful, even suggesting the halibut dinner for my husband...it was very tasty. Later on we had a very nice chat with a congenial maintenance man Ray, who talked about changes coming to the hotel and plans for an elevator next year. Employees with pride in their place of work always make a difference. All in all. I would recommend this Best Western to anyone looking for a comfortable, friendly place to stay in Florence, Oregon Sincerely, Virginia Scoggins

At first glance the hotel looks great, however the rooms are old and tiny, as well as the hot tub. The hot tub can only fit 3 adults comfortably, which posed a problem with the hotel being family friendly, having two or three families in the pool area at one time. The complimentary breakfast was amazing, made to order eggs and the best salmon omelet. Maria at the front desk was extremely nice and personable! Heather at the restraunt bar was also very nice and her cucumber martini is delicious! Overall I would consider staying here again.

Good breakfast. Omelettes made to order and full breakfast. Pool was nice and basic hot tub did the job/old. Nice view from our balcony overlooking the water and bridge. Great location for the dunes. Were told the dunes 20 min away had the better dunes- Spinreel- They were amazing.

I have to agree this Best Western is perfectly located across the river from old town with excellent views especially at night. Nice restaurant and bar and breakfast room overlooking the river. Great breakfast had many choices with an omelette bar made to order. Rooms were large and comfortable. We had 4 ladies sharing two queen beds and our room worked out surprisingly well without us getting in each other's way. BUT the best part of this Best Western is the customer service we received from Shawn at check-in. The four of us were doing a girls coast trip and showed up without reservations. Shawn was exceptionally friendly and accommodating in helping us get a slightly larger room than most to accomadate a pull-out bed if we felt we needed but didn't end up using. He was very helpful in giving us advice about the hotel itself and where to go in town. We enjoyed chatting with him and appreciate all that he did to make our stay a most comfortable one. People like Shawn make us want to come back and stay at the hotel again. Thank you Best Western and thank you Shawn!

Great view of river bridge and downtown Florence especially at sunset and sunrise. We ate the best breakfast: freshly made to order veg scramble at sunrise and the view was unbeatable. Enjoyed not having to listen to blaring TV. Room was modern and comfortable but there is an odor to this place. I think it is musty because of damp wood due to buildings' age. Constant upkeep is always needed where exposed to wet and rain.

Not only is this hotel super dog friendly, but the complimentary breakfast is amazing including gluten free options, and the views from the room are spectacular. There us a gorgeous pool/spa area. Restaurant also good.

We have stayed at many many Best Western this trip. Probably close to ten places. THIS Best Western has an indoor pool, a hot tub and a sauna! The gym is pretty good for a Best Western. As is common, a free breakfast in the Breakfast room. The difference HERE is real China plates, real China cups! An awesome Omelette Bar, cooking custom omelette made to order. The room is pretty good, as expected.

Shawn and Candy were very helpful when I arrived and realized my reservation had been made for 1 month later than needed, by a coworker. The error was no fault of Best Western! They made us feel welcome and eased a stressful situation.

Enjoyed our stay in a king river view room. We used the hot tub in the pool spa area- it was clean and a very nice area. Happy hour specials in lounge was a bonus. Had a very good snack in restaurant.

The room was clean, looked right on to the river, and the omelets staff made for your free breakfast were excellent. Good walking distance to old downtown Florence. The room had a couch which made it more comfortable to sit.

Several thing I don't usually find in a BW , holes in the outdoor carpet from the towers to rooms , ice machine out of order , big chipped corner on the toilet cover , bathtub mad a weird noise when toilet was flushed and finally , horrible vinyl fake wood floors that stuck to your feet when walking! Breakfast was good , price was good , bed was good .. SO kind of a eh Best Western stay ...

Cozy place to stay. Right on the water. Very friendly staff. Rooms very clean and quiet. Restaurant on site open in the evening. Food and drinks were excellent. In the morning, there is also complimentary breakfast. The driveway to the hotel is the only issue. Kind of difficult to find/see from Highway 101. Will definitely stay here again.

This was our 3rd time staying here and this will be the last. The room we paid way too much for smelled like chemicals or paint....we opened the patio door through the night and could still smell it. The room was not cleaned well, dirt and grime on the floor, corners of bathtub and bathroom floor corners were nasty!!! Rubber mat in tub/shower had hairs under it! YUCK! When telling staff at checkout about the smell & cleanliness there was no reaction other than, "they did touchup paint work in that room". Breakfast was mediocre....hot food was dry and barely warm. This is the last time we stay here.

We were in town for the annual Winter Music Festival & I had made reservations a few months in advance for 2 nites, Fri & Sat. However, a few ago, our plans changed & we decided to only stay over Sat nite, so I called the hotel & cancelled Fri nite but kept Sat nite's reservation. We only live about 90 minutes away, but we always like to stay overnite & hang out at the coast with friends who attend the festival. After spending the day listening to great music, we head to hotel to check in & get ready for dinner, we find out that we don't have a reservation & they are completely booked, due to the Festival!! After some digging, we find our reservation is for the NEXT weekend! Now, we don't know whose error it is at this point--mine or theirs. It could go either way. But the front desk staff, Shawn (who we find out is the one who handled my phone call when I called to make the changes) & the young lady (whose name I can't recall, but will update when I do!), who were on duty, were so helpful. First, they called several other hotels in town, but there was no availability. We actually just decided to drive home after the final musical act, as that was the easiest answer. They extended discount coupons for dinner in their restaurant, which we accepted & enjoyed. We also accepted a few of their warm cookies, which were delicious!! I'm sure if we were farther from home, the weather were an issue or we had pushed harder, they would have been able to have found a solution. We were impressed by the customer service & all involved went above & beyond to try to solve a problem that may not have even been their error. Kudos!! We will be back!!

Perched right above the Suislaw river -- as everyone says -- you have great views of charming Old Town Florence from this BW gem. We were traveling with our toddler and the staff warmly welcomed us and other guests that were checking in (with pets!) at the same time. Our room was spotless and the body lotion amenity smells heavenly. We headed straight for their Bistro and had a super yummy dinner (Salmon, steak and pasta for the little one) and their wines by the glass were quite nice. The next morning we very much enjoyed the breakfast that was all included -- we made waffles and got made-to-order omelettes that were all great. Afterwards, we enjoyed wandering around Old Town and seeing some of the shops. We'll be back for sure!! Next time we're going to hit the dunes nearby :)

The included breakfast was phenomenal! Lisa, who served our dinner in the restaurant and who also cooked our made to order eggs in the morning was fantastic. She made the stay extra special!! The staff were all very friendly and the room was clean, the bed comfortable and the river view pleasing.

Walked in on Saturday afternoon Dec 23 2017 before Christmas and felt very welcomed by Shaun and Candy. Happy that our room was on parking level as hubby really can't do stairs and have a small Yorkie "Cujo". Room was on the far end so not much noise if any that we could tell. Room was clean and well equipped. Could have used a doggy stair for the bed as had to lift Cujo up and down all of the time. Possibly something you could offer in the future? Also a covered walkway from the furthest rooms to the front door would be nice. Had dinner the first and second nights at this hotels restaurant and both were very good and well worth the money. Wait staff was great, Shana made our experience even better. Prime Rib for hubs and Chicken Alfredo for me first night. Second night hubs had the Deep fried fish/prawns/salmon&chips and I had NY strip steak. All meals including breakfast were great and would recommend coming here over say going to the Local Casino for dinner. We were saddened that we had to eat at the casino on Christmas day but appreciate you giving the restaurant staff the day off. We didn't get to meet any of the kitchen staff save for the manager and neither of us got her name (though she did come talk with us about the cute peppers on our plates). You have a beautiful Lobby and dining area both for breakfast and fine dining. The woodwork was well done and in good taste, hope you keep up the great ambiance. Maria signed us out on the 26th and we were sad to go. We do hope to come back for Christmas 2018. Too bad Lincoln city, we have found a better place to visit for Xmas!!

Great Hotel overlooking Florence Oregon and the Suislaw river. Rooms and restaurant had great views. At the time we stayed, they were offering Breakfast omelets which was included in the Price. Omelets included salmon. Clean Comfortable, and Quiet Facility, just south of town. Don't under stand why this Best Western is not a BW Plus.

Pierpoint Inn is the best hotel in Florence--one of the best on the coast. Very friendly staff, all details and appointments high quality. The views from all rooms are great. Price is a good value. We will be back.

This is the most wonderful spot. My home away from home when I come to Florence to visit family. All of the staff and kind, and super helpful. Most recently SHAWN at the front desk took such great care of me when checking in. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Florence for a relaxed and lovely visit. You will feel, welcome, cared for and safe. Always a beautiful experience when I stay here.

Since moving to Florence I've had my "annual girlfriend party" in my home. 2016 we had 66 women in our living room. So for 2017 we expected around 100, so we went out to another venue in town but the closer we got to the event the more disorganized the venue became. We were in a serious crisis. We reached out to Steve and Lisa at the Best Western Pier Point Inn and in less than a week they made it happen. We had a blast all the women loved the views and the beautiful room. The servers were great and the event was a huge success for our local Domestic Violence Shelter. Many thanks to Steve and Lisa for their community support and they're willingness to help us in such short notice.

Beautiful hotel with wonderful views of the river, bridge and Florence. Shawn greeted me with professionalism and friendliness that every hotel should mirror after. Dinner at the Bay View Bistro was top notch! The smoked Coho Salmon was excellent; the best I have ever had! The homemade clam chowder and garlic bread completed the meal. The view from the restaurant was very nice. Breakfast was wonderful with a panoramic view of the surrounding river and surrounding areas. The room was very clean and updated making it feel like a 5 star motel. The only downfall was the shower head was barely pushing out water. One suggestion I would recommend is to have a shower head with an extension.

We were greeted by Shawn, the front desk person. He was efficient and very personable and we felt very welcomed. And we got free warm cookies! Our room had a gorgeous view of the river and bridge. The room was large and very comfortable for my husband & I and our dog. Very clean. I went to the restaurant the first night and was served by Andrea who was a great server & I appreciated her honest guidance on menu items. I was privileged to meet Chef Scott and we discussed the special menu items for New Years Eve dinner the next night. Based on that, we decided to eat dinner our second night there. We were served by Lisa, a wonderful southern lady, who was both attentive and fun. The food was superior; kudos to Chef Scott. Breakfast here is REAL eggs cooked to order, among other breakfast buffet items. Sara cooked our eggs exactly as we ordered them and we enjoyed our first breakfast here. Every room and restaurant has a view that is lovely. My husband used the pool & spa and was very impressed by the facilities. Looking forward to our final breakfast tomorrow and we are sad to leave. We will definitely be back. This motel has been here a long time but has been updated and is well managed. It provided a much-needed getaway for me as well as being convenient for my husband's music gigs this weekend. We are very impressed.

The staff that assisted us was terrific! Shawn and Meghan were very friendly and helpful. They genuinely cared about our comfort and enjoyment. The breakfast staff was also wonderful. They, too, were friendly and very attentive. We will be back!

After a very long day of driving we arrived at Best Western and were immediately very impressed. We only had one night to stay here and would love to return. Lovely room with great views. Fabulous free breakfast including fresh made omelette to order- excellent. The restaurant offered great choices for dinner and their seafood chowder was fantastic. My husband wasn't feeling well, and one of the waitresses took it upon herself to offer him a small hot toddy to see if it helped...great staff. The indoor pool, spa and sauna would be great to use if we'd had more time. Would love to return.

Full complementary breakfast available. It has been along time since we stayed at a hotel that offered made to order eggs. Swimming pool very kid friendly, although it is cold down there so take a coat if you aren't in the water.

If you are looking for a motel that has a great view of the river and Old Town, this Best Western is perfect. We visited over the Christmas holidays and really enjoyed both the lights and the scenery.

Great breakfast, Super friendly staff. Very helpful. Very close to the state park, the dunes et al. Great view of the bay. Room was very clean. Very relaxing area of Oregon. Next time we'll try the dinner Resturant that's in the hotel.

Do you really need a reason to get away from the grind and everyday life especially during the Holiday rush of shoppers. These are some of the reasons we use to just get out of town and enjoy life. The change of scenery, weather, people and shopping.

We arrived late after a hard day of driving in pouring rain. Shaun - our check in clerk was extremely helpful and enthusiastic about the property. However, to get to our room we had to be out in the rain and got soaked. the room hvac was from a distant century and didn't help a lot. In the morning the rain had subsided and, turns out, we had quite a nice view. Who knew the breakfast (included) had an omelette station which was unexpected and excellent

When coming to Florence I try to come to PierPoint. Services are great...nice hot tub/pool/exercise room. The special order breakfast omelettes/scrambles/fried egg breakfasts are not bad. Great service people. Maria helped me out...kind, courteous, friendly, knowledgeable! Enjoyed my stay here once again.

We love stopping here after a long trip back to Canada from Southern California. It's great to have such a wonderful restaurant on the property so you don't have to leave once you park the car for the night!

Stayed for 1 night at the Best Western in Oregon, very friendly, helpful staff. Toni & Sara from the breakfast team when out of their way to accommodate my requests on food. Impressed that they even have a "dog" area which is quite convenient when traveling with pets. Rooms, clean, comfortable and spacious. Will stay again.

We came here to enjoy the restarunt we heard they had on site. May I say Andrea was wonderful. Our food was amazing. Shawn at the front desk was extremally helpful in telling us about local attractions. Although I was not a guest I soon will be. Spot on best western, spot on.

I usually stay at a Best Western when I travel and this one is one of the best. It is best situated to the conferences and restaurants in Florence. Plus the view of the river is awesome boats are great.

We chose to stay at this property in a change of traditions from our regular Thanksgiving traditions. We booked online and that site did not give me the options of entering mobility and the fact that our little dog travels with us. My print-out actually stated preferences will be addressed at check-in. Well I have to say I have never had a smoother experience at check in the with Shawn. He took care of us in an instant and all with a full house. The property has issues for those of us that are impaired but when it is obvious the staff is in the guests corner...that makes all the difference in the world. Super clean and roomy, a great view of the bay and the storm that presented itself. We enjoyed our stay and will stay agtain even knowing the hurdles. It was that good!

Loved this property, but they don't have elevators! We were told it is to expensive to retrofit elevators, but maybe they could put in chair lifts so guests with mobility issues could use the wonderful pool and hot tub area. Shawn & Chrystalina were super helpful.

This is a really nice hotel for an older facility. It has a good breakfast buffet and restaurant/lounge. Rooms and restaurant have good views of the Siuslaw River, and it is located close to downtown.
