"Loved it"

fraser001, Thunder Bay 19/10/2019

Great front desk staff. Close to the beach. Room was clean. Shuttle was organized well. Would return! This hotel is in walking distance to restaurants and a grocery store. Once we got there we regretted only booking for one night.

Bob H, Langley City, Canada 08/10/2019

This is a little gem 1 block from the beach. Very clean with out door eating areas which my wife and I took advantage of. The staff were great and extremely help full. We stayed there for 5 days while visiting Rome. They have a shuttle service to the airport and the City. well priced. There is a grocery market a few blocks away to get your wine and cheese. Down the block is a husband & wife food take out that we use 4 times. Great people. Good home made food.

"Good for beach holiday, with connection to Rome"

FinMati, Turku, Finland 02/10/2019

A nice holiday with beach activities ( 300 m from hotel) and cultural/historical sights in close Ostia Antica and offcours Rome. Our family enjoyed the top floor family room with huge terrace. Hoel is clean and have a very friendly staff. The reception speeks good English. We liked the breakfast (no bacon dough). The local public transport bus was wery late an unliable, but the hotel arrange precise shuttle bud to Rome and tho the airport. The hotel is situatied in a calm area with a couple of good restaurants and a supermarket on walking distance ( a few block away)

"Nice enough location to the airport"

Denise K, Henderson, United States 04/09/2019

Needed a hotel close to the airport and chose this location due to the pictures. Quite different than what it appeared in the pictures. But was ok. Close to the beach that looks like is just a local area. Not touristy. Decent restaurant near by. Don't think I would stay again. But staff where wonderful.

"Nice staff"

User 03/08/2019

It is the best hotel for the area but the streets are dirty and road traffic noise was terrible at night. Shower door is too small, you can barely get in and out of it or turn around inside of it. Front desk staff was Great !!

"Nice Staff Poor Amenities"

Linda O, Woodinville, Washington 16/07/2019

We were greeted warmly by Allesandro, who couldn't have been nicer. All went well for the first few hours, but then the AC stopped working (it was in the mid-80s outside), and the WiFi stopped working (we were very dependent on WiFi to keep up with our travel arrangements, etc. Whereas the staff came to the room immediately to address the issues, they found no resolution, and we had a very sweltering night, and no ability to get online to complete travel arrangements and other critical business. The hotel is nicely located (about a block from the beach), and we had a lovely lunch at a nice restaurant along the beach front. Be prepared for only a continental breakfast (buffet style), which we paid extra for, thinking we would have the usual breakfast options of most hotel buffets. We paid for the hotel's shuttle service to the airport; however, the driver dumped everyone off at Terminal 3, in one spot, and he refused to tell us where to go for our various airline checkins. He said he was not allowed to take us to any other terminal - he could only drop us off at the spot where he stopped. Having never been to the Rome airport before, we were totally lost. Turns out we had to lug all our luggage to Terminal 1. Terrible experience with the shuttle! If you opt to stay at this hotel and use the shuttle service to the airport, know that it costs extra and be sure to find out in advance which terminal your airline uses. Because of the failed AC and WiFi, and the terrible airport shuttle service (the hotel uses a third-party shuttle service), I cannot recommend this hotel.

"Clean and good service"

alis0n310, Lymington, United Kingdom 05/07/2019

we stayed here for three nights. It was adequate for our needs, clean and comfortable. Our only complaint, was that by time we had arrived for breakfast at 8.30 on the Saturday, there was not much left on the breakfast table in the way of croissants, fruit and other items. When I asked the waitress if she could get me some croisssants, she told me they were all finished. This is just bad planning.

"Wonderful Experience!!"

User 28/06/2019

Safe & Secure in a Foreign Country!!! Friendly, helpful Staff that went out of their way to make me feel at home. I couldn't have asked for more. This hotel may not be a luxury hotel but the service was.

"Geat for an overnight stay"

stones2125, Dayton, Ohio 17/06/2019

We wanted a place to stay close to the airport for our last night, but wanted someplace where we could go out for a "last night in Italy". We chose this place because it was close to the sea. It was very clean and the staff was very helpful. We walked to the beach and it was beautiful. Be careful though as the part close to the hotel and some glass and trash in the sand. Down the beach a little further was much nicer. Restaurants were definitely catered more to locals, but were good for a dinner. Go earlier as they fill up with locals after about 8. One complaint was the beds were very hard as were the pillows which were flat and hard. Made for a lot of tossing and turning.

"Friendly staff, clean room, close to the airport, good breakfast, not so good pillows"

User 11/06/2019

The hotel's location was good near the airport and the airport shuttle service was very convenient and easy and affordable (6e/person) and didn't require booking in advance. The drivers were extremely helpful and nice. The person at the front desk of the hotel was very friendly and recommended us a great local pizzeria near by. The breakfast was good, in addition to the sweet cakes that are typical for an Italian breakfast, there were also fresh fruit, boiled eggs, toast, hams, cheeses etc, which was great since we are not used to a sweet breakfast. The room was clean and simply but nicely furnished and the bathroom was lately renovated and very clean. The only thing that could have been better, was the bed and the pillows. One side of the matress was leaning down a little and the pillows were some weird foamy substance. It was alright for one night, but if we would have stayed for longer, the bed and pillows would have bothered us more.

"Good hotel. So-So beach."

TheSkyMaster, Milan, Italy 11/04/2019

it is a nice hotel. It is like 1 block from the beach. Nice restaurants in the area. I saw that there were bikes to borrow, from the hotel. I had a problem with the toilet in my room. They offered to change rooms. The beach is not so great. It has these piles of boulders, at the edge of the sea. I guess they are to stop the sea levels rising or the beach from eroding. I think they would block your view of the sea, if you laid or sat down on the beach.

"Nice place, very helpfull staff but the bed is hard as a rock"

BlueinGA, Athens, Georgia 19/03/2019

It is a nice little hotel close to Fiumicino airport (with an inexpensive 6 euros shuttle service). I checked into a small but super clean and updated room and a nice bathroom and had a nice dinner in a restaurant nearby, on the "lungomare". It would have made for a perfect place for an overnight stay before a flight to the US, but the bed was so hard (it had absolutely no give, stiff like a board) that it gave me a bad backache in the first 30 minutes I was lying down on it and trying to fall asleep. I have a sensitive back, but this was a completely unprecedented situation. The night receptionist was very helpful and understanding and gave me a key to a different room with a somewhat better mattress, so I could fall asleep and was OK enough in the morning to get on the long flight home.

"Great hotel for a good price"

User 24/01/2019

We have stayed here before and it met our expectations again. The value is very good and the hotel is very clean and comfortable. The staff are always very helpful and pleasant. We like the shuttle service to the airport and will stay here again.

Peter B, Garching bei Munchen, Germany 14/10/2018

Rome is a big and beautiful city with enormous touristic sites with very modern and historical hotels. However, there is one place that I never visited and that is downtown Fiumicino; just 5 km away from the airport. Its a beautiful city within the City and drives down to the sea. I initially thought it was going to be some dull and empty Hotel. To my surprise, I met the most pleasant receptionist in my life. They were so kind that I almost spent half my time conversing with them. Its such a beautiful hotel with breakfast inclusive, the internet was perfect and 3-5 minutes walk away to the best set of Fish restaurants in the world. For those who love fresh fish and shrimps, here is the right place for you. The rooms are perfect and large with double Queen sized beds. Even though I had a very brief trip, I felt more at home than staying in the Centre of Rome with all the traffic jam. Will visit again. Great and kind people.

"Baggage stolen from car in front of hotel"

User 27/09/2018

My family stayed at the Hotel Riviera on Sunday September 2, 2018.We chose this hotel due to its proximity to the airport and its reasonable price. We arrived in 2 separate cars. My son and his fiance arrived with most of the luggage as their car was the largest. My husband and I and my daughter and son-in-law arrived about an hour later. The front desk clerk told my son that it was perfectly safe to park in front of the hotel. When we were almost there I called my son and he repeated this to me. So we also parked in front of the hotel. When they went out to get the luggage, the car window had been broken and the car stripped of its contents. The reaction of the desk clerk was unbelievable. He said he was sorry we were "inconvenienced" and not to blame him. The manager never came or called to speak with us. I never heard anything from Management. It happened before 9 PM. The desk clerk had to be convinced to call the police who would not come. They told us to come and file a report and when we arrived said it was too late to take it (9:30) and to return in the morning. DO NOT Stay there. And By the way, Best Western is of no help. They contacted the hotel which said they were not responsible. Best Western didn't do a thing.

"Very decent"

edf756, Shelby twp mi 26/09/2018

We stayed 4 daysand 3 nights. Quiet small hotel that is clean, comfortable and has good front desk staff. The breakfast could use more fresh fruit and more items containing less sugar. It's a great place if you rent a car. The hotel is small and has an enclosed small parking area adequate for the hotel guests. On street parking is also available most of the time. The biggest complaint was that the internet was out for 3 of the 4 days thus resulting in a lower rating...however this was said to be an exception. You are a very short walk to the beach and several good seafood eateries. Euros each way per person.

"Quiet location, reasonable price."

Hotel is a block from the ocean if you want to go to the beach, restaurants, stroll or see a sunset. Has an inside courtyard and is In a residential neighborhood. Provides breakfast and shuttle service to and from the Rome airport.on a regularly scheduled routine.

"Good value"

JimboCanucks, Langley City, Canada 24/08/2018

We had booked two rooms here for our last night in Europe before coming home. We figured it was close to the beach and what the heck. The hotel is kind of in the middle of a residential area. When we were there restaurants were few and far between as it wasn't high season. As soon as we arrived we found out that the airport would be on a slow down the next day. One of our party managed to arrange a flight out that night while we needed the rooms for two. Vicenzo was fantastic at the front desk and a great help. He was able to accommodate our request for the second night, provided us with some suggestions for food (a nice little grocery store was a few blocks away and good restaurants) and generally eased our concerns about staying the extra night. Rooms were great as were the patios. The neighbourhood is residential so its really quiet at night, especially in April! A great stay!

"Interesting neighbourhood"

manjusriKolkata, Kolkata 20/07/2018

We chose this hotel for its proximity to the airport. Not so close, but good enough. Having the sea close by was a bonus. Staff is extremely helpful, friendly and with good English. Rooms are small on an average, bathrooms are okay but both room and bathroom are adequately appointed. There are some stairs involved as the lift stops only half a floor above or below. Not sure if there are accessible rooms. Rooms are non smoking, but you can smoke on the sliver of balcony or in the courtyard downstairs. Laundry services are outsourced. Parking inside the gate is limited. Street parking available. Breakfast, for which you need to pay extra, was a little scanty, but the staff are ever helpful in replenishing supplies and you can use your creativity to make toasties and such. Fruits on the counter are not washed, but I was allowed to wash them in the sink behind the bar. As I said, the staff are always ready to help you with all requests. The neighbourhood is like a laid back seaside area totally residential. Siesta time is very important and no restaurant is open before 8pm for dinner. Made it a little difficult for us as some members had a flight to catch. Taxi hire if booked from the hotel is iffy, as the guy we got demanded more money than agreed upon. On telling the front desk they said they would look in to it and not use the driver in future. There is an excellent mytaxi app for europe. Works well and is a service for metered taxis.

"Great stay in Best Western!"

Alexei F, Toronto, Canada 16/07/2018

It was our first time in Italy. The hotel is well located close to the beach (about 3 mins). The hotel staff was welcoming and friendly. The room itself was cleaned well, but maybe a little small. The hotel is well maintained with free parking, free coffee, good wifi, and the breakfast was simple, but tasty (toast, croissant, muffins, etc.). Overall it was a excellent stay. I'll definitely stay here next time I come to Rome.

"Good Airport Hotel"

travelingbear2011, Kanazawa, Japan 12/07/2018

Stayed overnight before morning flights out of the country. The front desk staff were very helpful in getting us settled and opening the parking lot gate. There is free parking, but make sure you get there early enough to take advantage of the spaces. Part of the group also made us of the airport shuttle that services several area hotels and it went smoothly. Good night's sleep with a clean room and shower. If you have extra time, it's just a short walk to a basic beach with some shack style restaurants.

Our 1st time to Italy. We stayed at the BW Hotel Riveria. Great hotel, clean rooms and grounds. The friendliest hotel staff I ever met. All spoke English and all went out of their way eo help us in what way the could. I would definitely recommend this hotel. With in walking distance to the beach, about 1 1/2 blocks,, beach bars, and restaurants.I'll definitely stay here when I make a return trip to Italy.

"Worst hotel I have ever visited"

User 08/07/2018

Hot, AC does not work, staff unhelpful. Very dodgy neighborhood. Loud thudding from people above. Scratchy towels the size of paper napkins. Tacky finishes, no early morning ground transfer, no early morning breakfast. Terrible value for money. Think dusty Motel 6 on an interstate highway circa 1990. Add proximity to “the sea,” but actually not very close to airport at all. I recommend staying somewhere else.

"Great hotel for our one night stay"

User 28/06/2018

Hotel staff Vincenco Chiriaco was the one person who made our stay absolutely fantastic. He gave us restaurant recommendations, helped us with taxi service. He even took the time to write down some Italian phrases in Italian and English for us. We stayed in 7 hotels on our vacation and our service from Vincenco was perfect and better than every hotel we were in. Thank you!!

"Good choice"

Barbara S, Houston, United States 19/06/2018

We chose this hotel as it is close to the airport but also was near the beach. We needed a place to stay for an early flight but wanted other options instead of staying in the room. There was 20 minute walk to find a place to enjoy a drink and about 10 minute walk to dinner. The rooms are basic but comfortable. We struggled with the air conditioning until our friend showed us what to do. Then, it was perfect! Breakfast was very good and reasonable. The men at reception helped us with travel arrangements, parking our van, and tips on the area and restaurants. I would definitely recommend.

"Good hotel, great value"

N C, Deptford, New Jersey 18/06/2018

I spent most of my time in Italy in Salerno but wanted to stay closer to the airport the night before my flight home and selected this hotel. It turned out to be a great choice. The only difficult part was finding the hotel shuttle for two reasons:(1) the airport doesn't make the pick up location for hotels all that clear and (2) the hotel shuttle isn't labeled so in the area where hotel shuttles were picking up, I had to ask drivers if they were who was looking for. To do so, it helps to have a copy of your hotel reservation --one shuttle driver was able to tell me where on the lane of pick-ups I should wait. Once at the hotel, things were much calmer. The front desk attendant was super nice and spoke fluent English. The room was adorable, what you'd expect for a European hotel--small but comfortable. The location of the hotel was better than I could have expected. There is a balcony on the second or third floor of the hotel with tables and chairs, you can sit there and enjoy a great view of the beach. The hotel is two blocks from the beach. There are many restaurants along the beach, most with an abundant seafood menu. I wasn't in the mood for seafood but found several restaurants with non-seafood options. The area felt safe (I walked back along the beach by myself after sunset). If I need to stay near the airport again, I would absolutely stay at this hotel and maybe arrive before dinner time so that I can check out more of the area.

"Good for a quick stay"

Lauren S, New York, New York, United States 18/06/2018

We had an overnight layover and stayed at the Riviera. The hotel offers a very inexpensive shuttle service to and from the airport, and we utilized this offering round trip. The shuttle buses were large, comfortable and new. I emailed the hotel before we arrived, and they gave me all of the details for the shuttle pickup and drop off. We were given a very large room that had 3 beds and a massive wrap around terrace. We had an ocean view. A complaint though was the AC unit didn't cool the room. It was quite hot all in the room night long, and it was not hot outside. The hotel really doesn't have any amenities, so I don't recommend an extended stay. The location of the hotel is a plus. It is only 10 minutes to the airport, but you do get a small town feel. It is also a only few minutes walk to the beach. The Riviera met our needs. I would recommend if needing a quick night near the Rome Airport.

"Clean but Small Room, Good Value and Service"

DREW C, Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania 16/06/2018

Pro's: - Room was very clean - even behind the furniture and around the edges - Full size bed with firm mattress and firm pillows for a good night's sleep - Great staff - Vincenzo, GianLuca and the other gentleman went out of their way to make sure all of your needs were met. Also spoke English well. - Beach for swimming just a short walk down the street - Free WiFi which worked well - Good quality HDTV with a decent selection of cable TV channels, but only 1 in English - BBC - Refrigerator in the room(HUGE plus for Europe) - Breakfast was 3-Euro's and well worth it. Besides pastries and cereal, they had ham, salami, cheese and turkey(very rare for Europe) cold cuts and a toaster oven to make your own panini. Cons: - I had the single-bed room and it was really small - about 18ft x 10ft and the bathroom took up a quarter of that - tight! The only furniture was a clothes closet and desk - no drawers to place any belongings. - The bathroom was also very small and there was no shelf space to speak of. I had to keep my toiletries outside on the desk. - For transportation, you had to rely on the shuttle van to Fiumicino Airport which was 6-Euro's each way. Once there, you can connect to the FL1 train into Rome. The van runs about every half hour during the daytime, but then every 50 minutes later on, and also provides service to other hotels in the area, so you can wait extra time for the other passengers. - There are a few restaurants and a supermarket walking distance, but not many places for a quick meal.

The 2 guys at the receptions-Vincenzo & Alessandro were most helful.Specially Vincenzo give us restaurant tips and what to see and do. The property is very pleasant and clean. Breakfast- if not included in you rate it is only 3 euros for buffet. Great value for you money.

"Conveniently located close to the airport"

Ehecatl Q, Montreal 21/05/2018

Good and convenient location very close to the airport - excellent to rest before a 14 hour transatlantic flight with several stopovers of the day after. Room is clean, nice shower area. Very good breakfast in the morning. Quiet and comfortable. Parking area safe and easily accessible from the lobby.

"Nice place to stay before flight."

Rhrose0, Lexington, Kentucky 20/05/2018

We stayed here the night before a return flight. Facility was clean and staff, especially Alessandro at check in, was extremely pleasant. Breakfast may or may not be included with your stay but is pretty decent and only 3 Euro if not included. They have an airport shuttle and free, gated parking if needed. It is a short walk to the beach, but if you're looking for dinner before 8 please check. Many of the restaurant times listed on TA are wrong and several places are closed permanently or drinks only. We ended up going to Trattoria Le Romane (in nearby local neighborhood) and it was great, I would recommend.

"One night before flight"

Ann M, Kansas 10/05/2018

Needed a place for one night before flying back to US. Prebooked online, and got good rate. Shuttle only €6 one way - inexpensive compared to taxi. Clean room and bathroom. Friendly at front desk. Got rate with breakfast not included, but was only €3. Recommend if need hotel near Fiumicino airport.

"Easy stay before am departure from Fiumicino"

luctheoutdoors, New Jersey 30/04/2018

This was a last Minute booking and after reading positive reviews , booked it ourselves . The room was clean , beds very comfortable ( we booked a triple ) we parked our car right out front ( free) but there is an attached parking lot ( not sure if free ) very nice bathroom with toiletries. Breakfast was not included in our price but our room bordered a cute courtyard with some tables and chairs and after getting some coffees from the breakfast area , sat in the sun and in our pjs having coffee - relaxing start to the day . Easy check in , check out and pleasant staff and my husband was thrilled because there is a very nice McDonald's down the road !

"Excellent Staff"

john j, Winder, Georgia 29/04/2018

We only stayed here for one night to be near the airport. The hotel itself is very good and has nice clean rooms. It is close to the beach, restaurants and a supermarket nearby. Breakfast is basic but good. There is an airport shuttle available for six euros each and takes about 15 minutes to arrive at the departures terminal number three. The front desk really helped us out when my wife's purse was accidentally dropped on the shuttle and the front desk was coordinating between us and the shuttle drivers to try and deliver the purse before time for our flight to leave. They were able to catch up with us and everything worked out fine. I am sorry that I did not get the gentleman‘s name that was working the front desk but we are very grateful for his help. This is a very good hotel, with an excellent staff and I will definitely stay there again when visiting Rome. It will be good for families, couples and single individuals.

"Friendly staff"

feifeidad, Wellesley, Massachusetts 22/04/2018

We stayed in this hotel for one night before our next morning flight. The hotel was nothing fancy, but pretty clean. We stayed at Room 501, which was spacious with a large balcony with a good ocean view. The beach was only 5 mins away so we strolled there in the evening. The one issue was the bathroom sink being clogged. The staff happily gave us a small discount for this inconvenience. We took the airport shuttle bus on the morning. It costs 6 EUR per person, including the kids. The bus driver was friendly and knowledgable. Our air tickets show Terminal 1, but the driver told us it should be Terminal 3. And he was right! It saved us some walking at the airport.

"Great staff coupled with great location make this a wise choice close to FCO airport"

kenm323, Portland, OR 15/04/2018

There are properties closer to FCO but none with better staff I would say. The people who man the desk at this property make it special for sure. Jeanluca and the rest made our stay perfect and had great knowledge and advice about the area and Rome in general. Easy walk to the beach, with restaurants and even a grocery store make this a better idea than the places close to the airport with planes sounding like they may land in your room. We would definitely stay here again

Great little hotel close to the airport. Very comfortable bed. Great service. The guy at the reception when I arrived was super friendly. Nice buffet breakfast Italian style. Close to the beach, borrowed a bike (quite basic and old but OK) to check out the area. Not many restaurants in the area but there is one about 5 minutes walk away which was delicious, and open in winter. Airport shuttle worked out well. Would definitely stay again if I needed to be close to the airport.

"Enjoyable Layover Stay"

Cannuckk, Vancouver, BC 13/01/2018

We had a one night layover and with an early morning flight wanted something close to the airport. The Best Western Riviera turned out to be a great choice. We arrived mid day and were able to enjoy lovely winter sunshine on our walk along the seafront. Fuimincino the town is actually a resort town; although limited in attractions (other than nearby Ostia Antica) there are plenty of restaurants and it's a pleasant town for a stroll. As others have commented, the hotel could use an update in some of the common areas (halls particularly) but the rooms are clean, the staff friendly and helpful and it was a 15 minute walk from our favourite restaurant of the trip (hit "nearby restaurants " it's the number 2 rated in the area). We found the beds a bit firm for our liking, but other than that, we were very happy with our stay. As an aside, it is possible to use the metro/ bus system to get here; we came from Ciampino airport-bus 720 to the metro, metro to Lido Centro, and bus 4? ( blue bus) from Lido Centro to Fuimincino town gets you within walking distance.

very outdated and old hotel . staff was nice. parking limited. prices good . breakfast was very small . quit a walk to a restraint. not as close to the airport as I was told it was. I would look around before staying there again

"Friendly and near the beach"

mike r, Tucson, Arizona 19/12/2017

From the airport go right & walk down to stall/space #32/34. There you will find the shuttle bus to take you to the hotel. The hotel will charge you 6 euro/pp for the trip. Once inside you should find a very friendly & helpful staff that are ready with a map and to answer any of you questions ( & give directions ) about the area. They have different size rooms. So, best to take a look at the room first before accepting. Also, best to take a room in the back or around the courtyard rather than the front (a lot less noise). Breakfast has many choices from cheese to meat, bread to pastry, juice to coffee & more. There is a lift. Hotel is about a block from the beach. Many eateries around the area (check the prices first). There is great restaurant on the corner one block up & on the other side of the street and their prices are fair and the food is very good. You are also within walking distance of the harbor, banks, food market, & other shops. Would we stay there again - yes.

"Excellent option for Fiumicino"

Vecchio John S, Vancouver, Canada 19/11/2017

This was our second one-night stay at the Hotel Riviera. Our impressions of a year ago were reinforced this time. Vincenzo does a first class job of welcoming guests and providing useful information on the area. The hotel itself isn't fancy but it's clean, well-appointed, comfortable and the area is very pleasant. It would make a great base for Rome itself if transportation wasn't so costly. Trains to Rome Termini are about the same price as those from Rome to Civitavecchia, which is twice the distance. Still, it's a perfect option for those with an early morning flight and the town itself is worth exploring. Our only complaint was with the shuttle. The driver was very unhelpful, borderline rude, insisting on stacking our bags in a compartment that was flooded even though we were the only passengers in a vehicle with space for about 30 and we had just two carry-on bags. Contents of one bag were soaked. Shuttle fare is 6 euros per person. In future we'd take a taxi for 20-25 total, but far better service.

"Tight Quarters"

Smhd2020, United States 15/11/2017

We stayed in Fiumicino because we were doing some family ancestry. This hotel was close to where we needed to visit with family. The hotel is in a residential neighborhood, so you need to drive or walk to where ever you need to go. Our room was on the second floor and were told there was an elevator.. you could just about get two people in it...not to mention luggage! Our room was tiny (just enough room to walk around bed), dark, with dirty drapes that were hanging in several spots! Why would that not be fixed? The breakfast was below par for an Italian who has spent four weeks traveling in Italy!

"Hotel Needs Updating, but staff and service more than makes up for that!"

User 12/11/2017

We booked this online through a site, and I choose non-refundable option. Our plans changed slightly so communicated with the hotel directly. They were very accommodating. They provide a shuttle from/to airport for 6 Euro each person. We paid 14 Euro p/p each way to go into Roma Centre. They have a designated drop off/pickup point. Very convenient and affordable. They provide a typical European breakfast for 3 Euro to get your day started. The hotel is in need of updating -- showers are small, towels are older, but when you interact with the staff it's easy to overlook these minor these. Vincenzo, Guialuca, the very sweet lady (can't remember her name) that will make you a cappuccino and housekeeping staff are all very helpful, professional, and went you to have a nice stay at their hotel. The area surrounding the hotel might look a little sketchy, however we walked around, enjoyed the ocean, restaurants and there is a grocery store (Todis) within walking distance where you can buy wine, cheese, items to make a picnic lunch, etc. We truly enjoyed our time there and stated a total of 5 nights; first 3 nights in Rome, and 2 nights on our return to Rome. (Sorry, I was going to add a photo, but got msg that it was too large).

Lalitha V, Cupertino, California 07/11/2017

My husband and I stayed here for 1 night. Decent, clean room, good wifi and hot shower. Friendly front desk staff who help to take the luggage up ( and down). Special shoutout to Vincenzo who was helpful with shuttle services to the city, providing umbrellas to take to the city, and being flexible about our return shuttle timings ( due to heavy rain in Rome). Return shuttle timings from the city are 3.30 pm or 9 pm. There needs to be another one in between these 2 timings. Mattress was not that great, and a coffee maker in the room would have been helpful. Overall good stay, especially if you have an early morning flight ( 20-25 EU to the airport).

"A Truly Italian Experience"

AlamedaYankeegal, Alameda 29/10/2017

I really liked this small but efficiently run establishment. First of all, they provide transport to and from the airport for a charge of 6 Euros each way. The location was great, being a block away from the beach whichhas many seafood restaurants lining the main thoroughfare. (Restaurants don't open until 8 pm for dinner.). After staying in busy Florence, it was a relief staying in this small town with friendly people and the reception at this hotel was very welcoming. The hotel has an elevator, which is a factor not to be overlooked if you are traveling with a lot of luggage. We stayed on the second floor, which had a nice communal sitting area with a partial ocean view and overlook over the city. This was a nice feature, as the room itself was very small and dark so you had a comfortable place to hang out. The room was nicely furnished and the bathroom/shower looked was beautifully tiled and modern. It would have been nice to have a coffee maker in the room. Even though the room did not have a lot of natural light, the artificial lighting compensated nicely. We had their 3 Euro breakfast buffet consisting of pastries, toast, cold cuts and coffee--which was a bargain considering the cost of breakfast at most restaurants in the country. We found this motel to be a convient and moderately priced motel when departing or arriving into the main Rome airport. We would definitely stay here again, should we be traveling in the area.

our family of 11 stayed there in 5 rooms the night before flying out of FCO. Vincenzo was soooo helpful! He recommended at a superb reasonable priced restaurant Gastone a Mare. He helped us get a second crib, and really went out of his way. the beach is beautiful: sandy, and rocks make a spectacular place to watch the surf and the sun set. would go back and stay longer. and do day trips into Rome.

"Nice Hotel with Rip-off Taxi Service"

Melinda F, Houston, Texas 06/10/2017

Spent the last two nights of a month-long European trip at this nice hotel. The Best Western Riviera was very clean, had comfortable beds and a fantastic air conditioning system. It is two blocks from a nasty little beach. Taxi service is incredibly over priced in Fiumicino. There are no taxis in the area. The hotel called a taxi for us to get to the mall. She charged me 18 euro for just showing up. The round trip ride cost 60 euro. If I had known about the taxi fees, I would have spent those nights in Rome. It's a shame.

firenze_italia, Italy 09/09/2017

You can stay at the Hilton right next to Fiumicino airport and pay around €200 a night... or you can take a thrilling taxi ride (our driver really gave us some thrills!) for around €25 each way - approx. 5 minutes or so - and spend about 1/3 that rate per night. Plus enjoy a decent complimentary breakfast, inexpensive drinks from the hotel bar, cheap and very good wine from the nearby Todis supermarket, great seafood at any of a number of restaurants along the lungomare (I recommend Rosso Corallo), and a splendid sunset view of the ocean as well as the planes coming and going from the third (fourth?) story terrace. I love this hotel and look forward to my next stay here.

CLR9902, Niagara Falls, Canada 02/08/2017

I booked this hotel for it's location near the airport. Travel with a companion did not work out and I had to make last minute accommodations online without a lot of time to investigate. Reliable shuttle service to and from airport was extra but clear instructions were emailed to me on accessing the pick up point from the airport which was greatly appreciated as I am an inexperienced European traveler. Hotel room was clean although bed was too firm and pillow flat. Short walk to beach area, however many restaurants to choose from so bring your walking shoes and Italian dictionary as most staff and guests in this area of Rome did not speak English so made for a lonely 2 day visit. Staff were friendly and communication was not a problem at the hotel. Breakfast was dismal. Wifi worked great.

User 31/07/2017

A recommended night stop if arriving at Fiumicino late in the evening. The taxi from the airport was €20, though driver a bit grumpy as had clearly been hoping for a fare into Rome. The room was clean and spacious. The breakfast was nothing to get excited about but barrista-made coffee was good. Vincenzo on reception couldn't have been more helpful in advising and helping to fix up transit into Rome at a decent price. Much appreciated.

"Great stop over hotel!"

User 31/07/2017

Had a lay over in Rome for a day and a night so we decided to stay here. They were very helpful. Gave us clear instructions on how to get to the hotel. They had a shuttle bus to and from the airport. Once arriving the staff were very nice and helpful. They allowed early check in and asked us if we wanted to see anything while we were there for the day. We wanted to see Ostia Anticia and they gave us detailed directions on how to get to and from the ruins. The bus service is a little confusing but the staff helped as much as they could. Also they have information about nearby restaurants. And the breakfast for 3 euro was well worth it. We would definitely stay there for another stop over.

Unless you are planning to take an early morning flight out of Rome this could be a poor choice. Rooms are clean and roomy. The staff is helpful and courteous. WiFi is free. They have a lift and breakfast is offered. Not sure on parking as we came without a car. The problem is location. In a semi-residential site. 3 restaurants within an easy walk. Definitely not family or for business meetings.

This is a great place to stay for a quick stop before or after an international flight. The room was clean and comfortable (ours had a huge balcony that was a nice surprise and a quiet place to unwind). It is a short walk to the beach with lots of places to eat. We highly enjoyed borrowing the hotel's bikes...there is a wide and very long boardwalk that was fun to explore. It was a perfect place to be while recovering from jet lag before starting our cruise. Beds were comfortable and breakfast was also good. We highly recommend staying here.

Artsnob021, Westerville, Ohio 22/02/2017

The Hotel Riviera wasn't far from the airport, though the shuttle driver said that the closest bridge was out, so that made the drive a little longer than usual. The hotel is located in a quiet, mostly residential neighborhood a short walk to the beach. We stayed here one night before a cruise. As for nearby dining, there are a few restaurants in walking distance. We were unfortunately on Stomach Standard Time after flying from the US, and we had a hard time finding anybody serving dinner before 7:30. There was a small pizza place a block away with 2 tables that did mostly carryout business. The owner couldn't have been nicer, the pizza was just what we wanted, so all good. The hotel staff is pleasant and helpful. I would definitely recommend the Riviera, especially before a cruise.

We had a couple of nights before joining a cruise so wanted a reasonably priced hotel with easy access to Fiumicino Airport. We didn't want to be in Central Rome as we didn't fancy too much walking. Everything in the hotel was excellent till the earthquake on the Saturday morning played a little havoc with the power!! Breakfasts were very good. The room clean and tidy if a little jaded. Front and dining staff were good considering the slight language barrier. The only down was that the area was really scruffy and the road/footpath to the beach quite difficult to traverse. The beach was great and a good way to spend the 'spare' day we had. Some great cafes on the beach road.

"Bad option to the airport"

FlaviaGalan, Panama City, Panama 13/11/2016

We decided to stay close to the airport as we had a early flight, for that, this Hotel is not a good option! It is at 20min of the airport and you have to pay the hotel shuttle €6 per person per way or ask for a taxi €25 each way. Besides the hotel is old and not that clean. Next time we'll stay in Rome close to train station and get the 32min direct train.

"A good choice for Fiumicino"

Vecchio John S, Vancouver, Canada 07/11/2016

We stayed one night here and would have been happy to stay longer. Our room was excellent with a spacious balcony. Vincenzo on the desk was very helpful with his recommendations and assistance with our flight arrangements. We were a bit sceptical about his pizza recommendation, the take-out counter of nearby Todis supermarket, but it turned out to be one of the best pizzas we've had in nearly a dozen vacations all over Italy. Fiumicino has far more to offer than most people give it credit for, a nice town with a bustling fishing port. Our only issue during this visit was the airport shuttle service. Staff at the airport were their usual unhelpful, couldn't-care-less selves and we were unable to find shuttle times and location either from information desks or from a survey of the long line of bus stations. A taxi to or from the hotel will cost you around 20 Euros, the usual rate for most of Fiumicino.

The place is what you would expect for a 2 - 3 star hotel. No frills but clean. The parking was included - but I would skip the breakfast if it's not included with the room (ours was not). We had breakfast included all over Italy with cheeses, cereals and fresh fruit. We paid 8 euro's for a coffee and a croissant. We had pre-paid for the breakfast assuming there would be healthy choices - your better off waiting to get to the airport and getting a decent meal it would be less expensive and more satisfying. Nothing special - not bad for the price.

"Neither 'Best' nor very 'western'"

User 27/10/2016

Stayed here for business near the airport...inexpensive but definitely not up to par with other European best westerns - I suspect this is a recent acquisition for BW and due for major upgrade. A 25 minute walk from the pleasant center of Fiumicino (some good restaurants) - this is deep in the neighborhood, which can have its own 'authentic' charm. Some neighborhood restaurants nearby. Good gated parking (though plenty of street parking). On the negative side, poor sound proofing, worn rooms, undesirable breakfast.

Our flight was cancelled along with many others so rooms near the airport were booking up quickly. After reading the reviews on Trip Advisor we chose this hotel. It was nicely situated close enough to the airport and we had always wondered what the town of Fumincino was like. The hotel is a solid 2-3 star. It was in a residential area with a short walk to the sea. There were several very good seafood restaurants seaside but other than that not much to do. Being off season beach vendors closed and there were not any shops. Room was basic, met our needs but not someplace you would want to spend a lot of time in. No decor. Not even a bedspread. Flat screen TV. Bathroom and shower small. Hallways, especially carpet, in great need of replacement. Downstairs nice area for coffee all day and breakfast in the morning. Overall satisfied for the price but would not be our choice if in area again. We are use to a higher end hotel.

"Comfortable Hotel Close to Rome Airport"

fiat957, Melbourne, Australia 21/09/2016

We booked this hotel purely as a place to rest after a 23 hour trip from Australia to Europe. The hotel website states that they operate a shuttle bus from Rome airport to the hotel but we were unable to find it once we cleared customs. Unfortunately, due to the heat and extreme tiredness, we caught a cab and of course we got jibbed big time and paid more than double of what it should have cost. Staff at the hotel spoke English and the room was spacious and comfortable. Modern ensuite, air con in room and even a bar fridge to cool some water in what was a stifling hot day. The town of Fiumicino is nothing special. In fact it was quite dirty, decrepit with lots of stray dogs sniffing around. We did find a wonderful place for dinner along the esplanade called - MIAMI. We visited both nights and had a delicious pasta meal each time. Breakfast was adequate- nothing special as the Italians dont eat much for breakfast. We booked the hotel shuttle for the trip back to the airport which was good. Allow plenty of time though as the shuttle stops off at other hotels and picks up people.

Promenade has many beach bars and good reasonable restaurants (Queen Mary Restaurant) and a lot of high end restaurants that open at 7 pm. , bus stop for Ostia and the ruins of the ancient port of Rome or subway to Rome is 4 min. away. I found the staff to be friendly and down to earth.

"Seaside location near Fiumicino Airport"

Escambian, North Carolina 15/09/2016

After our five days in Rome, we needed a reasonably priced hotel near the airport for the night before our early flight. This hotel was ideal in many ways: It is located just a short distance from the sea with over a mile of scenic walkway. There were dozens of restaurants along the seafront, featuring fresh seafood as well as beach bars and less expensive meal options. (We found a Trip Advisor "The Fork" special for 20% off at Il Restorante which was outstanding.) Hint: There is a shuttle service from central Rome to the hotel for 14 Euros/person. You can schedule a pick-up by phoning the hotel, saving either an expensive taxi fare or hauling luggage on the train to the airport and then taking a shuttle or taxi. The shuttle to the airport in the morning was punctual and cost 6 Euros/person. The room was adequate and clean, although the hallway was in need of refurbishing. The receptionist was welcoming and helpful.

"Below average service"

Armand C, Montreal, Canada 15/09/2016

We were a party of five. Four adults and one child. We were told there was a mix up in the reservation. It took about 45 minutes to work things out, while the receptionist had to register the passeports in detail. Then the rooms were not ready. While the cleaning lady had fun with a colleague in front of us. Only to be told by the same housemade that she was not aware that we were waiting for the rooms. What a mess!

"Basic hotel, too many steps and stairs."

marymcgimsie, Guelph, Canada 09/09/2016

Warm welcome from reception, offered to store our extra luggage on main floor as our room was on the top floor with limited elevator access and more steps to climb. Room was clean, balcony view of beach but area is a bit questionable. Had a great meal at the Queen Mary on the beach. My biggest complaint is with the shuttle service from airport, when the van arrived he did not pull into the designated space, I had to approach the driver to ask if this shuttle was for the Best Western Riviera, unfriendly, loaded luggage into van but did not help with offloading once we reached the hotel.

"Disappointing "

User 02/09/2016

A warm welcome from the helpful and friendly receptionist, able to check in early. Family room of a good size, clean and comfortable but no windows so very oppressive. We were out most of the afternoon returning after being on the nearby beach to discover the shower was broken. Unable to provide an alternative room or shower facility we had to fix the shower ourselves. We went out for dinner returning to look forward to a good night sleep before our morning flight home. Regrettably the neighbouring rooms air conditioning unit was on all night and made a horrendous noise and together with the road traffic, despite not being a busy road or a roadside room was surprisingly loud. Very little sleep. Glad to get up and find good coffee and croissants!

"Good hotel near the beach"

MarieL67, Tel Aviv 28/08/2016

We spent our last night before the flight at Fiumicino in order not to have to wake up so early. The hotel is perfect for this purpose. The rooms are nice (some with balcony) and clean, the reception clerk was very friendly (gave us information where to fill up the rented car) and the wifi was working very well. The breakfast however was quite poor and not tasty - this should be improved! The beach at Fiumicino is not very attractive and the restaurants are mainly expensive fish restaurants, but we managed to find a beach bar/restaurant where we could have good pasta (Neri). The drive until the airport takes 15 minutes. For returning the rental car you need to follow the signs 'comfort car park B, C or E'.

"Basic hotel 15 mins from Fiumicino but not a very nice setting"

Adam L, Sutton Coldfield, England, United Kingdom 25/08/2016

Stayed here as had reasonably early flight from Fiumicino Airport. Hotel receptionists very helpful and spoke English well. As a 4 person family we had the very top floor room which was large and clean with 1 double and 1 single beds. Room was hot and air conditioning was pretty poor. Blows slightly cold air but when curtains are drawn is ineffective. Found room to be dusty as air con blows through curtains. Room had large balcony with chairs and a couple of plastic sun loungers. Quite nice to see the sun go down. Hotel is set in a residential area, didn't feel dangerous, but had weeds and broken signposts around the place and lots of graffiti etc. Beach is 2 mins walk and OK. Some debris in the sea but OK for an hour or so. Depends what you're used to or prepared to cope with. There are bars blasting music and families around the place...but there was also a chap with two hookers. Live and let live I guess! -nothing to do the hotel obviously! Quite a few fish restaurants around the place...but about 1 mile into the harbour area. Receptionist guided up to a good little Pizza place - "Pinzimonio" - would recommend and only 3 streets away. Breakfast was 2 types or cereal (Meusli with choc in)...some fruit cordial, bit of bread and some pastries. Lady serving coffee was pleasant enough. Shuttle bus is 6E so for 4 people we took a cab for 25E. Hotel arranged this - no problem. Summary - hotel is fine for somewhere to stay before airport - but not in a very desireable neighbourhood

"Ok for a crash place"

HopTzop, Santa Cruz 22/08/2016

Booked this hotel for one night before our flight back home from Rome. It's an ok place to crash for one night with the convenience of an inexpensive airport shuttle service, good breakfast buffet and excellent customer service. As a bonus, add proximity to the beach for that last swim in the sea before a long flight. However, the room was tiny and cleanliness could be improved both in the rooms and especially on the hallway. Bathroom was nice and spiffy, though. The hotel certainly doesn't live up to the Best Western standard from back in the U.S. but it's ok.

"Trip to Rome"

trooper198, Lincoln, Nebraska 18/08/2016

We booked months ago and finally got here. We arrived from airport using the hotels shuttle from the bus parking area #24 outside terminal 3. We were checked in quickly even though it was 800am. Room #204 is quite small but just what we need. We walked around town for awhile and stopped at the town grocery store a few blocks from hotel. Brought some fruit a couple slices of pizza and Sat on veranda. Took a nap and now having a cappuccino in the lobby bar. Life is great.

Kim H, Springfield, Missouri 15/07/2016

We stayed here because it was close to the airport for a morning departure. The room was average. It was clean and the AC worked really well. The wifi was rather weak and we had to go to the lobby if we wanted good service. The staff was helpful and welcoming. There was a shuttle to the airport for a fee. There is secure parking. Nothing fancy. The beach is just steps away though and we did enjoy a lovely dinner on the water the night before we left Italy.

marion93722, Fresno, California 05/07/2016

I thought it was not that close to the airport but not far neither. The rooms are decent size and clean. Our triple room was enough size. The beach is really close and we were genuinenly surprised by the calm and warm water. The sunset is one of the best I've seen if you have time. A bit walk to restaurants but they are authentic local cuisine. I even thought I've eaten the most authentic here. We ate @ Rosacorral ( I'm not sure if I spelled it right) and our compliments to the chef. The front desk is very helpful. The only drawback is we cannot log in to wifi in the room, only in the lobby. The airport shuttle is convenient and the driver is very nice. The breakfast I think is pretty good. It will cost about 19 euros by uber, 28 euros for taxi and 6 euros each for shuttle.

"Great for Early Flights from FCO"

Andrea L, New York 05/07/2016

This is a great place to stay if you have an early flight. The hotel is very comfortable, the staff was nice, and the air conditioning works well (a big plus in Europe.) There's not much to do in the area as far as I could tell, but I was only staying for one night. I had a 9:30am flight to New York and the front desk advised me to take the 6am shuttle so I was glad I decided not to stay in Rome proper my last night. My parents and I stayed in the Classic Triple Room. It was small, but the beds were comfortable and the single bed is a real bed, not a pull out couch. The bathroom was nice, but I will note the opening to the shower is quite small. I could see it potentially being a problem for a larger person. I was able to connect to the wifi, but couldn't really get it to work. This may have just been my problem, but it was late and I was leaving in the morning so it wasn't important. They do have a computer in the lobby where you can print your boarding pass which is helpful. The beach is just at the end of the block, so it's a cute area to walk around. The dining options are very limited. There is no restaurant at the hotel but the attendant at the front desk gave us a recommendation. Unfortunately it was closed. We ended up at the only restaurant we could find that was open, which was sort of a fancy seafood place. It was very nice, but not something I would've chosen given other options. In the morning, I took the 6am shuttle. My parents were able to take a later one. The shuttle cost €6 and took about 20min. We did stop at two other hotels on the way to pick up guests. I was at the airport in plenty of time. Overall, I was quite happy with the experience and would stay here again before a flight.

The place is not close to airport - it is hard to find even with GPS. Staff very nice but rooms are small and with a quad it was cramped. Old hotel and surprised carries a Best Westen logo. Very clean but beds were hard and low to floor. Location is a short walk to the beach, in a residential area. Increased to 3 stars because breakfast was lovely- but didn't k ow unroll check out it wasn't included in cost of stay. Wouldn't stay here again.

"Great place to stay near Leonardo da Vinci - Fiumicino Airport"

HRK1963, Windsor, Canada 18/05/2016

I stayed here one night after arriving at the airport. The shuttle was very reasonable although I would suggest putting a "Best Western Riviera" sign on it to help tired flyers figure out what shuttle to get on. My room was huge with a great balcony. I found it to be very clean and the bathroom was a good size. This hotel is situated in a residential area near the sea but there are restaurants nearby. The front desk staff was very friendly and both people that I dealt with were fluent in English. I took the shuttle to Rome which was a very good deal compared to taking a taxi. This is a great place to stay before or after flying in to Rome and the rates are very reasonable.

Ron S, New York City, New York 03/05/2016

The hotel is unpretentious. The room was basic, facing a quiet street, clean, good Wi-Fi signal. Nice helpful staff. They have a guarded parking lot adjacent to the hotel. The breakfast was standard and they provide it starting at 5 am. The location is great. It's close to the airport, saves you the hassle of driving in Rome, and is in walking distance from the beach if it's of any interest. It's very easy to find it from anywhere in Fiumicino, just go in the direction of Lungomare until you get to it, then turn left as it's a one way street and proceed practically to the end of it until you see signs for Rome/Ostia/airport - turn left, it's your street.

"Two overnights - one arriving from airport, one departing at airport"

wizontheroad, Baltimore, Maryland 11/04/2016

My husband, adult daughter and I stayed at this hotel traveling to Rome arriving at the airport at 11pm. The last shuttle to the hotel is 10pm so we had to take a 25 E taxi. The hotel is about 15-20 from the airport. It's clean and staff are friendly however the room for three was very, very small. Also, the shower faucet came off in that room. The second night just hubby and I stayed in the ocean view double (daughter traveling elsewhere) - this was a much nicer and we enjoyed our overnight there. We walked along the ocean to a nearby restaurant. Breakfast was fine but we were not used to canned fruit, sweet juice, and lunch meat for a morning meal. The *wonderful* woman who maintained the dining area offered us espresso or cappuccino. She had great customer service skills. The gentleman at the front desk was also friendly and helpful. We took the 6 E shuttle back to the airport on the second stay. I didn't realize there was a fee until after the non-refundable booking. I think the hotel should include the shuttle.

"Easy access to Fiumicino"

Aeroguard, Sydney Australia 07/02/2016

WE booked this hotel as we were arriving late into Rome from the provinces and leaving the next morning for Ireland. It was reasonably priced and reasonably close to the airport. Except for the drop off shuttle, doing the drop offs before they reach this hotel. But we didn't find that a problem. This is a tourist hotel. So nothing salubrious but it suited our needs. Even in winter, theres some nice restaurants not he waterfront, walking distance from the hotel. We found the 'inclusive' brekkie a bit hit and miss. Tables not cleaned (hard to find a clean one when we arrived). But being inclusive, it was basic. Still, it was food and it done us for the morning. Other than that, it was suitable for our needs, being a bed before flying out. The shuttle is a very handy service, with the cost NOT included in your hotel rate. Still reasonable though

"Clean and Tidy, but Horrible Beds"

bubbsietubbsie, Abbotsford. 14/12/2015

We recently finished off a 3 week stay in Italy with 2 nights at this hotel. While the rooms were certainly clean, both the beds and the pillows were the worst I have ever encountered. Frankly they felt like slabs of leather, and I just could not get comfortable on them, which is a real drag when a long flight home is to follow. There were also issues with the shuttle service, which having spent a week in Sicily where this service was an integrated part of what the hotel provided, we were surprised to find was not included in the room cost. Cleaning staff were particularly friendly.

"Nice Experince."

"Airport hotel near the sea"

CannSanDiego, San Diego 22/10/2015

After a cruise, we spent one night at this hotel because it is close to the airport. We were pleasantly surprised to find that is a few blocks from the sea and restaurants. The hotel is small, quiet. Our room was basic, but impeccably clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Everyone we encountered spoke English. A surprisingly bountiful breakfast was available very early - nice because we had an early shuttle to the airport. We will stay here again when we return to Rome.

"Fast, Friendly Service a Boon after a day of Driving."

Roy B, Vancouver, Canada 17/10/2015

We arrived around 7 pm on our last day in Italy before heading home, after a long drive and from Tuscany with stops in Montepulciano and Ovierto. The six of us were loaded down with baggage from our three week trip, and tired and had to prepare for our return flight. (baggage weight was an issue, as usual!!) The service was fast and efficient, (Gianluca was the clerk on duty) and restaurant recommendations provided immediately within walking distance. A bonus that we were unaware of is that this hotel is a block away from a beautiful white-sand beach which would have been welcome had we arrived earlier in the day. There are two restaurants about a ten minute walk. One, a seafood restaurant, was completely full and unable to accommodate us, but the second restaurant (a pizzeria, which is more than just pizza in Italy) was excellent and great value. We had pre-booked this hotel for its proximity to the airport (5 km from Leonardo da Vinci terminal), but away from the high priced airport hotels. At around $150.00 Canadian, it was reasonably priced, offers a shutter to the airport (6 euros per person) and was very comfortable. It was a great decision to stop here for the night rather than rushing to a flight after our long day. It helped make the long flight home (12 hours) bearable.

The staff was very pleasant and spoke english well. The hotel was clean and looked good. It was a couple of blocks from the sea. Our room had a balcony. The shower stall was very small though. The shuttle to and from the airport and the center of Rome was reliable. It cost a lot though 14 euro per person each way to the center of Rome. If you have more than 2 people in your group use a cab.

"Nice hotel, near the airport but still quiet."

User 07/10/2015

As I write this report I'm sitting on the balcony (as big as the room) listening to the waves crash on the shore only a couple of blocks a way. Were staying here only 2 days but we have no complaints. Staff is friendly and helpful, speak English which is good as I speak no Italian. Room is clean and fairly modern, with all necessitys. A couple of small complaints, a super small shower, a fairly hard bed with tiny pillows and there was no eggs at breakfast. I will admit that these are common issues for Europe so I don't fault them. Overall a good reasonably priced Hotel, only €6 shuttle from airport.

Ok, firstly this is a 3 star Hotel. Dont expect 5 star decor and rooms. However the reception Staff are very friendly and have good local knowledge. Rooms are clean and appear well maintained. Breakfast was an adequate Continental buffet which fully accomodated my 250lb needs ! Unfortunately the weather wasnt too good on our visit but there is a perfectly good beach for sunbathing about 200yds away. We would/will return as good VFM.

We booked this hotel because of its proximity to the airport. We wanted a hotel close to the hotel where we can sleep overnight after traveling 19+ hours from Los Angeles, en route to Barcelona the next day. The room we got had 4 beds, very spacious, clean and well let perfect for my wife and I and our daughters 4 and 7. Beds were quite comfortable, easy to fall asleep in after the long haul. Bathroom complete with tub, shower and bidet. Breakfast the next day was OK, not bad coming from BW continental. Yogurt, hard boiled eggs, ham, salami, and pastries.
