The Best Western Hotel Riviera is a three star hotel recently renovated and located only five kilometers from Rome Fiumicino Leonardo Da Vinci International Airport and the Fiumicino only a few meters from the sea. Our hotel is also approximately 10 kilometers away from the New Fair of Rome and the big shopping centers Parco Leonardo and Market Da Vinci where you can enjoy shopping in more than two hundred shops of all kinds. A shuttle bus service on charge, on request, is available seven days a week to and from the airport, Rome centre, two shopping centers and Ostia Antica where guests can visit the interesting Roman ruins. Among the other facilities offered to our guests are a free Internet access and free bikes available for pleasant rides along the seafront. The good food and friendly atmosphere of the typical Italian restaurants and pizzerias, located near the sea and only few meters from our hotel, are particularly worthy and with reasonable prices. Enjoy your stay.

    « Highly Recommended »

The 2 guys at the receptions-Vincenzo & Alessandro were most helful.Specially Vincenzo give us restaurant tips and what to see and do. The property is very pleasant and clean. Breakfast- if not included in you rate it is only 3 euros for buffet. Great value for you money.

« Conveniently located close to the airport »

Good and convenient location very close to the airport - excellent to rest before a 14 hour transatlantic flight with several stopovers of the day after. Room is clean, nice shower area. Very good breakfast in the morning. Quiet and comfortable. Parking area safe and easily accessible from the lobby.

« Nice place to stay before flight. »

We stayed here the night before a return flight. Facility was clean and staff, especially Alessandro at check in, was extremely pleasant. Breakfast may or may not be included with your stay but is pretty decent and only 3 Euro if not included. They have an airport shuttle and free, gated parking if needed. It is a short walk to the beach, but if you're looking for dinner before 8 please check. Many of the restaurant times listed on TA are wrong and several places are closed permanently or drinks only. We ended up going to Trattoria Le Romane (in nearby local neighborhood) and it was great, I would recommend.

« One night before flight »

Needed a place for one night before flying back to US. Prebooked online, and got good rate. Shuttle only €6 one way - inexpensive compared to taxi. Clean room and bathroom. Friendly at front desk. Got rate with breakfast not included, but was only €3. Recommend if need hotel near Fiumicino airport.

« Easy stay before am departure from Fiumicino »

This was a last Minute booking and after reading positive reviews , booked it ourselves . The room was clean , beds very comfortable ( we booked a triple ) we parked our car right out front ( free) but there is an attached parking lot ( not sure if free ) very nice bathroom with toiletries. Breakfast was not included in our price but our room bordered a cute courtyard with some tables and chairs and after getting some coffees from the breakfast area , sat in the sun and in our pjs having coffee - relaxing start to the day . Easy check in , check out and pleasant staff and my husband was thrilled because there is a very nice McDonald's down the road !

    « Excellent Staff »

We only stayed here for one night to be near the airport. The hotel itself is very good and has nice clean rooms. It is close to the beach, restaurants and a supermarket nearby. Breakfast is basic but good. There is an airport shuttle available for six euros each and takes about 15 minutes to arrive at the departures terminal number three. The front desk really helped us out when my wife's purse was accidentally dropped on the shuttle and the front desk was coordinating between us and the shuttle drivers to try and deliver the purse before time for our flight to leave. They were able to catch up with us and everything worked out fine. I am sorry that I did not get the gentleman?s name that was working the front desk but we are very grateful for his help. This is a very good hotel, with an excellent staff and I will definitely stay there again when visiting Rome. It will be good for families, couples and single individuals.

    « Friendly staff »

We stayed in this hotel for one night before our next morning flight. The hotel was nothing fancy, but pretty clean. We stayed at Room 501, which was spacious with a large balcony with a good ocean view. The beach was only 5 mins away so we strolled there in the evening. The one issue was the bathroom sink being clogged. The staff happily gave us a small discount for this inconvenience. We took the airport shuttle bus on the morning. It costs 6 EUR per person, including the kids. The bus driver was friendly and knowledgable. Our air tickets show Terminal 1, but the driver told us it should be Terminal 3. And he was right! It saved us some walking at the airport.

    « Tarek K »

Good hotel, nice room , good breakfast Evening reception person Gianluca was very personable and nice Shuttle was helpful, they had a garage for our rental car. A little far from nearest gas station and ATM machine

« Great staff coupled with great location make this a wise choice close to FCO airport »

There are properties closer to FCO but none with better staff I would say. The people who man the desk at this property make it special for sure. Jeanluca and the rest made our stay perfect and had great knowledge and advice about the area and Rome in general. Easy walk to the beach, with restaurants and even a grocery store make this a better idea than the places close to the airport with planes sounding like they may land in your room. We would definitely stay here again

    « Great little hotel »

Great little hotel close to the airport. Very comfortable bed. Great service. The guy at the reception when I arrived was super friendly. Nice buffet breakfast Italian style. Close to the beach, borrowed a bike (quite basic and old but OK) to check out the area. Not many restaurants in the area but there is one about 5 minutes walk away which was delicious, and open in winter. Airport shuttle worked out well. Would definitely stay again if I needed to be close to the airport.

    « Enjoyable Layover Stay »

We had a one night layover and with an early morning flight wanted something close to the airport. The Best Western Riviera turned out to be a great choice. We arrived mid day and were able to enjoy lovely winter sunshine on our walk along the seafront. Fuimincino the town is actually a resort town; although limited in attractions (other than nearby Ostia Antica) there are plenty of restaurants and it's a pleasant town for a stroll. As others have commented, the hotel could use an update in some of the common areas (halls particularly) but the rooms are clean, the staff friendly and helpful and it was a 15 minute walk from our favourite restaurant of the trip (hit "nearby restaurants " it's the number 2 rated in the area). We found the beds a bit firm for our liking, but other than that, we were very happy with our stay. As an aside, it is possible to use the metro/ bus system to get here; we came from Ciampino airport-bus 720 to the metro, metro to Lido Centro, and bus 4? ( blue bus) from Lido Centro to Fuimincino town gets you within walking distance.

    « ok hotel »

very outdated and old hotel . staff was nice. parking limited. prices good . breakfast was very small . quit a walk to a restraint. not as close to the airport as I was told it was. I would look around before staying there again

« Friendly and near the beach »

From the airport go right & walk down to stall/space #32/34. There you will find the shuttle bus to take you to the hotel. The hotel will charge you 6 euro/pp for the trip. Once inside you should find a very friendly & helpful staff that are ready with a map and to answer any of you questions ( & give directions ) about the area. They have different size rooms. So, best to take a look at the room first before accepting. Also, best to take a room in the back or around the courtyard rather than the front (a lot less noise). Breakfast has many choices from cheese to meat, bread to pastry, juice to coffee & more. There is a lift. Hotel is about a block from the beach. Many eateries around the area (check the prices first). There is great restaurant on the corner one block up & on the other side of the street and their prices are fair and the food is very good. You are also within walking distance of the harbor, banks, food market, & other shops. Would we stay there again - yes.

« Excellent option for Fiumicino »

This was our second one-night stay at the Hotel Riviera. Our impressions of a year ago were reinforced this time. Vincenzo does a first class job of welcoming guests and providing useful information on the area. The hotel itself isn't fancy but it's clean, well-appointed, comfortable and the area is very pleasant. It would make a great base for Rome itself if transportation wasn't so costly. Trains to Rome Termini are about the same price as those from Rome to Civitavecchia, which is twice the distance. Still, it's a perfect option for those with an early morning flight and the town itself is worth exploring. Our only complaint was with the shuttle. The driver was very unhelpful, borderline rude, insisting on stacking our bags in a compartment that was flooded even though we were the only passengers in a vehicle with space for about 30 and we had just two carry-on bags. Contents of one bag were soaked. Shuttle fare is 6 euros per person. In future we'd take a taxi for 20-25 total, but far better service.

    « Tight Quarters »

We stayed in Fiumicino because we were doing some family ancestry. This hotel was close to where we needed to visit with family. The hotel is in a residential neighborhood, so you need to drive or walk to where ever you need to go. Our room was on the second floor and were told there was an elevator.. you could just about get two people in it...not to mention luggage! Our room was tiny (just enough room to walk around bed), dark, with dirty drapes that were hanging in several spots! Why would that not be fixed? The breakfast was below par for an Italian who has spent four weeks traveling in Italy!

« Hotel Needs Updating, but staff and service more than makes up for that! »

We booked this online through a site, and I choose non-refundable option. Our plans changed slightly so communicated with the hotel directly. They were very accommodating. They provide a shuttle from/to airport for 6 Euro each person. We paid 14 Euro p/p each way to go into Roma Centre. They have a designated drop off/pickup point. Very convenient and affordable. They provide a typical European breakfast for 3 Euro to get your day started. The hotel is in need of updating -- showers are small, towels are older, but when you interact with the staff it's easy to overlook these minor these. Vincenzo, Guialuca, the very sweet lady (can't remember her name) that will make you a cappuccino and housekeeping staff are all very helpful, professional, and went you to have a nice stay at their hotel. The area surrounding the hotel might look a little sketchy, however we walked around, enjoyed the ocean, restaurants and there is a grocery store (Todis) within walking distance where you can buy wine, cheese, items to make a picnic lunch, etc. We truly enjoyed our time there and stated a total of 5 nights; first 3 nights in Rome, and 2 nights on our return to Rome. (Sorry, I was going to add a photo, but got msg that it was too large).

    « Value for money »

My husband and I stayed here for 1 night. Decent, clean room, good wifi and hot shower. Friendly front desk staff who help to take the luggage up ( and down). Special shoutout to Vincenzo who was helpful with shuttle services to the city, providing umbrellas to take to the city, and being flexible about our return shuttle timings ( due to heavy rain in Rome). Return shuttle timings from the city are 3.30 pm or 9 pm. There needs to be another one in between these 2 timings. Mattress was not that great, and a coffee maker in the room would have been helpful. Overall good stay, especially if you have an early morning flight ( 20-25 EU to the airport).

    « A Truly Italian Experience »

I really liked this small but efficiently run establishment. First of all, they provide transport to and from the airport for a charge of 6 Euros each way. The location was great, being a block away from the beach whichhas many seafood restaurants lining the main thoroughfare. (Restaurants don't open until 8 pm for dinner.). After staying in busy Florence, it was a relief staying in this small town with friendly people and the reception at this hotel was very welcoming. The hotel has an elevator, which is a factor not to be overlooked if you are traveling with a lot of luggage. We stayed on the second floor, which had a nice communal sitting area with a partial ocean view and overlook over the city. This was a nice feature, as the room itself was very small and dark so you had a comfortable place to hang out. The room was nicely furnished and the bathroom/shower looked was beautifully tiled and modern. It would have been nice to have a coffee maker in the room. Even though the room did not have a lot of natural light, the artificial lighting compensated nicely. We had their 3 Euro breakfast buffet consisting of pastries, toast, cold cuts and coffee--which was a bargain considering the cost of breakfast at most restaurants in the country. We found this motel to be a convient and moderately priced motel when departing or arriving into the main Rome airport. We would definitely stay here again, should we be traveling in the area.

« Clean and quiet not far from airport »

Booking for my daughter on her first solo trip to Europe - This gave her two nights when first arrived in Italy... good chance to relax and sleep while getting bearings and over any jet lab. Good service offered and she felt very comfortable and safe in the location.

« Nice secluded hotel near airport »

We stayed here the evening before our flight. It was a little difficult to find. We had a rental car so we were able to park it inside their lot for free. The beach was only a block away and there were some really nice seafood restaurants along the beach. I would stay here again.

« great location- unbelievably beautiful beach »

our family of 11 stayed there in 5 rooms the night before flying out of FCO. Vincenzo was soooo helpful! He recommended at a superb reasonable priced restaurant Gastone a Mare. He helped us get a second crib, and really went out of his way. the beach is beautiful: sandy, and rocks make a spectacular place to watch the surf and the sun set. would go back and stay longer. and do day trips into Rome.

« Nice Hotel with Rip-off Taxi Service »

Spent the last two nights of a month-long European trip at this nice hotel. The Best Western Riviera was very clean, had comfortable beds and a fantastic air conditioning system. It is two blocks from a nasty little beach. Taxi service is incredibly over priced in Fiumicino. There are no taxis in the area. The hotel called a taxi for us to get to the mall. She charged me 18 euro for just showing up. The round trip ride cost 60 euro. If I had known about the taxi fees, I would have spent those nights in Rome. It's a shame.

    « Airport hotel »

Hotel was nice, clean, friendly and close to airport. Small charge for shuttle to airport in morning. Wish we had gotten there earlier to enjoy the beach. 1 block walk to beach then 2 blocks down to excellent seafood restaurant. Everything worked out perfectly, would definitely stay here again.

« Very nice place conveniently located »

Very friendly and helpful staff. Conveniently located just minutes drive from the airport. Spacious rooms, some have private balcony. Free parking and rental bikes. My only complain is the beds could have better quality mattresses.

« Best Western Hotel Riviera Rocks! »

We stay at this hotel EVERY TIME we travel to Italy because (1) it's clean (2) there's onsite secure parking (3) the check-in process is always efficient and (4) we love walking to the beach down at the end of the road and there are restaurants nearby. I would highly recommend this property to anyone who needs a hotel close to the airport.

    « Surprisingly good! »

You can stay at the Hilton right next to Fiumicino airport and pay around €200 a night... or you can take a thrilling taxi ride (our driver really gave us some thrills!) for around €25 each way - approx. 5 minutes or so - and spend about 1/3 that rate per night. Plus enjoy a decent complimentary breakfast, inexpensive drinks from the hotel bar, cheap and very good wine from the nearby Todis supermarket, great seafood at any of a number of restaurants along the lungomare (I recommend Rosso Corallo), and a splendid sunset view of the ocean as well as the planes coming and going from the third (fourth?) story terrace. I love this hotel and look forward to my next stay here.

    « Hidden Gem »

We stayed at this hotel for one night before our flight home. It is convenient to the airport. It was quite clean, the staff was very nice, and our room had a very large balcony overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. Just lovely. There are nice restaurants within walking distance.

    « Clean and comfortable. »

I booked this hotel for it's location near the airport. Travel with a companion did not work out and I had to make last minute accommodations online without a lot of time to investigate. Reliable shuttle service to and from airport was extra but clear instructions were emailed to me on accessing the pick up point from the airport which was greatly appreciated as I am an inexperienced European traveler. Hotel room was clean although bed was too firm and pillow flat. Short walk to beach area, however many restaurants to choose from so bring your walking shoes and Italian dictionary as most staff and guests in this area of Rome did not speak English so made for a lonely 2 day visit. Staff were friendly and communication was not a problem at the hotel. Breakfast was dismal. Wifi worked great.

« Clean rooms and helpful staff. Breakfast a bit lacklustre »

A recommended night stop if arriving at Fiumicino late in the evening. The taxi from the airport was €20, though driver a bit grumpy as had clearly been hoping for a fare into Rome. The room was clean and spacious. The breakfast was nothing to get excited about but barrista-made coffee was good. Vincenzo on reception couldn't have been more helpful in advising and helping to fix up transit into Rome at a decent price. Much appreciated.

« Great stop over hotel! »

Had a lay over in Rome for a day and a night so we decided to stay here. They were very helpful. Gave us clear instructions on how to get to the hotel. They had a shuttle bus to and from the airport. Once arriving the staff were very nice and helpful. They allowed early check in and asked us if we wanted to see anything while we were there for the day. We wanted to see Ostia Anticia and they gave us detailed directions on how to get to and from the ruins. The bus service is a little confusing but the staff helped as much as they could. Also they have information about nearby restaurants. And the breakfast for 3 euro was well worth it. We would definitely stay there for another stop over.

    « location very poor »

Unless you are planning to take an early morning flight out of Rome this could be a poor choice. Rooms are clean and roomy. The staff is helpful and courteous. WiFi is free. They have a lift and breakfast is offered. Not sure on parking as we came without a car. The problem is location. In a semi-residential site. 3 restaurants within an easy walk. Definitely not family or for business meetings.

« Great value for the money »

This is a great place to stay for a quick stop before or after an international flight. The room was clean and comfortable (ours had a huge balcony that was a nice surprise and a quiet place to unwind). It is a short walk to the beach with lots of places to eat. We highly enjoyed borrowing the hotel's bikes...there is a wide and very long boardwalk that was fun to explore. It was a perfect place to be while recovering from jet lag before starting our cruise. Beds were comfortable and breakfast was also good. We highly recommend staying here.

« A great option if you want to be near Rome's main airport ['FCO'] »

We returned from a cruise into the port near Rome [Civitavecchia], and decided to stay overnite before flying out of Rome [FCO] the next day. The Hotel Riviera offers clean, comfortable rooms at an affordable price a block from nice beaches, and just a few miles from the airport. The staff is kind, patient and helpful. They offer a typical European breakfast that provides plenty of options to get the day started. A ride to the airport is 6 Euros/person.

« Best Western Hotel Riviera »

It's a good hotel to end your trip to Italy as it's only 15-20 minutes from the Da Vinci airport. We stayed here a year ago and liked it so much that we came back again this time. The room on the first floor has a huge wrap-around loggia where you can have a bottle of wine while watching sunset.

    « Reliable and consistent »

We always stay here the night before our departure from Rome. Clean safe and close to many restaurants. Friendly staff with good English. Nice breakfast. Shuttle service to airport. Definitely recommend

    « Gem of a hotel »

We stayed here 7 nights on our trip to Rome May 22-28 2017. The hotel was clean, pleasant, the staff very helpful. We fell in love with the Barista Lara, and our favorite conceriege Vincenzo we give the highest scores for their kindness. We loved the close location to the beach , what a great way to end the day after hectic sightseeing.

« A good place from which to stage your departure from Italy. »

The hotel was in an out-of-the-way location and close to the beach, in a residential area. The room was clean, quiet and a nice place to sleep the night prior to our departure from Italy. The staff was very helpful as they directed us to a fantastic seafood restaurant (Gastone A Mare Ristorante) on the beach, which opened at 8PM.

« Great hotel - Close to the Airport and the water »

We stayed at this hotel for an early morning flight out of FCO. The hotel was decent and had on site parking which we needed as well. No complaints at all and the breakfast was fine for us. We had one of the upper floor rooms for our family of 2 Adults and 3 children

    « Good value »

The reason we chose this hotel was because it was approx 5km from the airport and we required an overnight stay before flying home the following morning. The room was big enough and the bathroom looked like it had been recently renovated, plenty of space. Breakfast was basic but adequate, it cost us 3 euro per person. Short stroll to the beach which was lovely. A few cafes and restaurants close by but the diners don't start arriving until after 8pm. There is a shuttle to and from the airport at a cost of 6 euro per person. Highly recommend this hotel for a short stay

    « BW Hotel »

Great hotel , walking distance to sea , nice walking area a lot of Restaurants around the hotel in walking distance , about 10 minutes driving to Airport . Reasonable price , but some of the rooms are very small .

    « Beautiful hotel »

We only stayed here one night because of the time of our flight. We stayed in the family room and it was high with a wrap around balcony. The bathroom was clean and the room so very well laid out. The breakfast in the morning was nice and a lovely start to the day as we traveled in to the centre of Rome for our city break. It is within a stone throw to the beach and nice and quite. I am glad we decided to book in for the night as it was a lovely start to a 5 day adventure in Rome. Staff were friendly and very helpful.

« Quiet hotel, reasonable price »

The Hotel Riviera wasn't far from the airport, though the shuttle driver said that the closest bridge was out, so that made the drive a little longer than usual. The hotel is located in a quiet, mostly residential neighborhood a short walk to the beach. We stayed here one night before a cruise. As for nearby dining, there are a few restaurants in walking distance. We were unfortunately on Stomach Standard Time after flying from the US, and we had a hard time finding anybody serving dinner before 7:30. There was a small pizza place a block away with 2 tables that did mostly carryout business. The owner couldn't have been nicer, the pizza was just what we wanted, so all good. The hotel staff is pleasant and helpful. I would definitely recommend the Riviera, especially before a cruise.

    « Great hotel »

We had a couple of nights before joining a cruise so wanted a reasonably priced hotel with easy access to Fiumicino Airport. We didn't want to be in Central Rome as we didn't fancy too much walking. Everything in the hotel was excellent till the earthquake on the Saturday morning played a little havoc with the power!! Breakfasts were very good. The room clean and tidy if a little jaded. Front and dining staff were good considering the slight language barrier. The only down was that the area was really scruffy and the road/footpath to the beach quite difficult to traverse. The beach was great and a good way to spend the 'spare' day we had. Some great cafes on the beach road.

« Nice location to the beach »

Hotel is quiet, good location to the beach, just about a block away. Not to many eateries around. Hotel has shuttle service to the airport, but they can make multiple stops, so allow the extra time. Decent hotel if you want to be close to the Rome airport and the beach.

« Happy with Hotel Riviera »

Our group stayed at the Hotel Riviera Best Western in Fiumicino Italy prior to our flight from Leonardo De Vinci Airport and were very happy with out choice. It was one of the bet experiences of our trip to Rome. It was very clean, friendly and helpful compared to most of the places in Rome.

« Bad option to the airport »

We decided to stay close to the airport as we had a early flight, for that, this Hotel is not a good option! It is at 20min of the airport and you have to pay the hotel shuttle €6 per person per way or ask for a taxi €25 each way. Besides the hotel is old and not that clean. Next time we'll stay in Rome close to train station and get the 32min direct train.

    « A good choice for Fiumicino »

We stayed one night here and would have been happy to stay longer. Our room was excellent with a spacious balcony. Vincenzo on the desk was very helpful with his recommendations and assistance with our flight arrangements. We were a bit sceptical about his pizza recommendation, the take-out counter of nearby Todis supermarket, but it turned out to be one of the best pizzas we've had in nearly a dozen vacations all over Italy. Fiumicino has far more to offer than most people give it credit for, a nice town with a bustling fishing port. Our only issue during this visit was the airport shuttle service. Staff at the airport were their usual unhelpful, couldn't-care-less selves and we were unable to find shuttle times and location either from information desks or from a survey of the long line of bus stations. A taxi to or from the hotel will cost you around 20 Euros, the usual rate for most of Fiumicino.

« Helpful staff and very good value. »

Third time at this hotel. Post Med,.cruise. Spotlessly clean, staff friendly and helpful. Excellent shuttle service. Need to contact hotel for easy directions to get shuttle at airport. On time to the minute courteous driver and only 6 euro each way. Breakfast more than adequate and 3 euro per person. A couple of hundred yards to coffee/sandwich/gelato place. Very good restaurant 10 minutes walk. Small supermarket nearby. In this location, and for this price, this hotel is a star, no complaints at all. ,

« It was okay as a stop over for (1) night to catch flight home »

The place is what you would expect for a 2 - 3 star hotel. No frills but clean. The parking was included - but I would skip the breakfast if it's not included with the room (ours was not). We had breakfast included all over Italy with cheeses, cereals and fresh fruit. We paid 8 euro's for a coffee and a croissant. We had pre-paid for the breakfast assuming there would be healthy choices - your better off waiting to get to the airport and getting a decent meal it would be less expensive and more satisfying. Nothing special - not bad for the price.

« Good stay for early morning flight! »

The hotel was close to the airport and it had a reasonable shuttle service to the airport. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean, our only complaint was that the bed did not have a blanket or comforter, the blankets in the closet were not clean. The breakfast was satisfactory.

« Neither 'Best' nor very 'western' »

Stayed here for business near the airport...inexpensive but definitely not up to par with other European best westerns - I suspect this is a recent acquisition for BW and due for major upgrade. A 25 minute walk from the pleasant center of Fiumicino (some good restaurants) - this is deep in the neighborhood, which can have its own 'authentic' charm. Some neighborhood restaurants nearby. Good gated parking (though plenty of street parking). On the negative side, poor sound proofing, worn rooms, undesirable breakfast.

« Ideal for an early flight »

The location is good - not far from the airport but also a short walk only to the Tirennian Sea. The staff is friendly, the rooms are plain but comfortable. A pleasant balcony for everybody with a great view of the sea.

    « It worked »

Our flight was cancelled along with many others so rooms near the airport were booking up quickly. After reading the reviews on Trip Advisor we chose this hotel. It was nicely situated close enough to the airport and we had always wondered what the town of Fumincino was like. The hotel is a solid 2-3 star. It was in a residential area with a short walk to the sea. There were several very good seafood restaurants seaside but other than that not much to do. Being off season beach vendors closed and there were not any shops. Room was basic, met our needs but not someplace you would want to spend a lot of time in. No decor. Not even a bedspread. Flat screen TV. Bathroom and shower small. Hallways, especially carpet, in great need of replacement. Downstairs nice area for coffee all day and breakfast in the morning. Overall satisfied for the price but would not be our choice if in area again. We are use to a higher end hotel.

« Great little hotel near beach and airport »

We just needed a place near the airport for one night and this hotel was more than we expected. The hotel was spotlessly clean Vincenzo at the front desk was helpful and friendly Quiet residential neighborhood a few blocks from the beach The included breakfast offered breads, cheese, meats, yogurt, cereal, pastries, hard boiled eggs The shower, although small, had good pressure and hot water The shuttle from the airport cost 6 Euros which you pay at the hotel. It runs every half hour stopping at several hotels. We would definitely stay here again.

« Comfortable Hotel Close to Rome Airport »

We booked this hotel purely as a place to rest after a 23 hour trip from Australia to Europe. The hotel website states that they operate a shuttle bus from Rome airport to the hotel but we were unable to find it once we cleared customs. Unfortunately, due to the heat and extreme tiredness, we caught a cab and of course we got jibbed big time and paid more than double of what it should have cost. Staff at the hotel spoke English and the room was spacious and comfortable. Modern ensuite, air con in room and even a bar fridge to cool some water in what was a stifling hot day. The town of Fiumicino is nothing special. In fact it was quite dirty, decrepit with lots of stray dogs sniffing around. We did find a wonderful place for dinner along the esplanade called - MIAMI. We visited both nights and had a delicious pasta meal each time. Breakfast was adequate- nothing special as the Italians dont eat much for breakfast. We booked the hotel shuttle for the trip back to the airport which was good. Allow plenty of time though as the shuttle stops off at other hotels and picks up people.

« More than just a one night stand »

I stayed here from Sept.6,16 to Sept 13,16 and enjoyed every minute. The directions given were excellent . Supermarket with great deli. is 6 minute walk away, beach with at least a mile of promenade is 4 min. away. Promenade has many beach bars and good reasonable restaurants (Queen Mary Restaurant) and a lot of high end restaurants that open at 7 pm. , bus stop for Ostia and the ruins of the ancient port of Rome or subway to Rome is 4 min. away. I found the staff to be friendly and down to earth.

« Seaside location near Fiumicino Airport »

After our five days in Rome, we needed a reasonably priced hotel near the airport for the night before our early flight. This hotel was ideal in many ways: It is located just a short distance from the sea with over a mile of scenic walkway. There were dozens of restaurants along the seafront, featuring fresh seafood as well as beach bars and less expensive meal options. (We found a Trip Advisor "The Fork" special for 20% off at Il Restorante which was outstanding.) Hint: There is a shuttle service from central Rome to the hotel for 14 Euros/person. You can schedule a pick-up by phoning the hotel, saving either an expensive taxi fare or hauling luggage on the train to the airport and then taking a shuttle or taxi. The shuttle to the airport in the morning was punctual and cost 6 Euros/person. The room was adequate and clean, although the hallway was in need of refurbishing. The receptionist was welcoming and helpful.

    « Below average service »

We were a party of five. Four adults and one child. We were told there was a mix up in the reservation. It took about 45 minutes to work things out, while the receptionist had to register the passeports in detail. Then the rooms were not ready. While the cleaning lady had fun with a colleague in front of us. Only to be told by the same housemade that she was not aware that we were waiting for the rooms. What a mess!

« Basic hotel, too many steps and stairs. »

Warm welcome from reception, offered to store our extra luggage on main floor as our room was on the top floor with limited elevator access and more steps to climb. Room was clean, balcony view of beach but area is a bit questionable. Had a great meal at the Queen Mary on the beach. My biggest complaint is with the shuttle service from airport, when the van arrived he did not pull into the designated space, I had to approach the driver to ask if this shuttle was for the Best Western Riviera, unfriendly, loaded luggage into van but did not help with offloading once we reached the hotel.

    « Disappointing »

A warm welcome from the helpful and friendly receptionist, able to check in early. Family room of a good size, clean and comfortable but no windows so very oppressive. We were out most of the afternoon returning after being on the nearby beach to discover the shower was broken. Unable to provide an alternative room or shower facility we had to fix the shower ourselves. We went out for dinner returning to look forward to a good night sleep before our morning flight home. Regrettably the neighbouring rooms air conditioning unit was on all night and made a horrendous noise and together with the road traffic, despite not being a busy road or a roadside room was surprisingly loud. Very little sleep. Glad to get up and find good coffee and croissants!

« Good hotel near the beach »

We spent our last night before the flight at Fiumicino in order not to have to wake up so early. The hotel is perfect for this purpose. The rooms are nice (some with balcony) and clean, the reception clerk was very friendly (gave us information where to fill up the rented car) and the wifi was working very well. The breakfast however was quite poor and not tasty - this should be improved! The beach at Fiumicino is not very attractive and the restaurants are mainly expensive fish restaurants, but we managed to find a beach bar/restaurant where we could have good pasta (Neri). The drive until the airport takes 15 minutes. For returning the rental car you need to follow the signs 'comfort car park B, C or E'.

« Basic hotel 15 mins from Fiumicino but not a very nice setting »

Stayed here as had reasonably early flight from Fiumicino Airport. Hotel receptionists very helpful and spoke English well. As a 4 person family we had the very top floor room which was large and clean with 1 double and 1 single beds. Room was hot and air conditioning was pretty poor. Blows slightly cold air but when curtains are drawn is ineffective. Found room to be dusty as air con blows through curtains. Room had large balcony with chairs and a couple of plastic sun loungers. Quite nice to see the sun go down. Hotel is set in a residential area, didn't feel dangerous, but had weeds and broken signposts around the place and lots of graffiti etc. Beach is 2 mins walk and OK. Some debris in the sea but OK for an hour or so. Depends what you're used to or prepared to cope with. There are bars blasting music and families around the place...but there was also a chap with two hookers. Live and let live I guess! -nothing to do the hotel obviously! Quite a few fish restaurants around the place...but about 1 mile into the harbour area. Receptionist guided up to a good little Pizza place - "Pinzimonio" - would recommend and only 3 streets away. Breakfast was 2 types or cereal (Meusli with choc in)...some fruit cordial, bit of bread and some pastries. Lady serving coffee was pleasant enough. Shuttle bus is 6E so for 4 people we took a cab for 25E. Hotel arranged this - no problem. Summary - hotel is fine for somewhere to stay before airport - but not in a very desireable neighbourhood

    « Ok for a crash place »

Booked this hotel for one night before our flight back home from Rome. It's an ok place to crash for one night with the convenience of an inexpensive airport shuttle service, good breakfast buffet and excellent customer service. As a bonus, add proximity to the beach for that last swim in the sea before a long flight. However, the room was tiny and cleanliness could be improved both in the rooms and especially on the hallway. Bathroom was nice and spiffy, though. The hotel certainly doesn't live up to the Best Western standard from back in the U.S. but it's ok.

    « Trip to Rome »

We booked months ago and finally got here. We arrived from airport using the hotels shuttle from the bus parking area #24 outside terminal 3. We were checked in quickly even though it was 800am. Room #204 is quite small but just what we need. We walked around town for awhile and stopped at the town grocery store a few blocks from hotel. Brought some fruit a couple slices of pizza and Sat on veranda. Took a nap and now having a cappuccino in the lobby bar. Life is great.

    « Home ward bound »

Heading home and flying out of Rome airport in the morning. Wanted some ware close. This is great. Newly renovated room, clean, very quiet and efficient aircon, comfortable bed, soft towels. Great restaurants just down the road along the beach front. Great price and free off street parking. Im very happy

    « Best Hotel. »

The room was spacious, and close to restaurants. Vincenzo was great and very helpful. He spoke English, and gave us ideas for getting around the town. This hotel provides shuttle service to the airport, and was on time. It was clean and comfortable.

« Good hotel and location »

We usually like to stay at hotels connected to airport so we can turn in rental car and save a day renting and hectic airport traffic. Hotel shuttle was good. Room was nice for 3 stars. A/C Breakfast was basic. Had a nice swim and excellent meal watching sunset for last day in Italy. Would stay there again. Ostia Antica is fantastic site nearby airport. No crowds and as good as the forum. Mosaics worth seeing.

    « Airport hotel »

We stayed here because it was close to the airport for a morning departure. The room was average. It was clean and the AC worked really well. The wifi was rather weak and we had to go to the lobby if we wanted good service. The staff was helpful and welcoming. There was a shuttle to the airport for a fee. There is secure parking. Nothing fancy. The beach is just steps away though and we did enjoy a lovely dinner on the water the night before we left Italy.

    « Perfect Weekend break »

Flied for a weekend in Rome and staying close to the airport looked like a good idea.We found this place a few minute walk from the beach which was great given the high temperature.Warm reception, affordable shuttle , a yummy breakfast buffet and in the evening we could chill out on the stunning terrace.Staff was great in particular this guy(Vincenzo)who showed us around, clean towels the whole staying and thanks to him Rome has no secrets for us anymore! We will definitely be back!

« Comfy and good size for European standard »

I thought it was not that close to the airport but not far neither. The rooms are decent size and clean. Our triple room was enough size. The beach is really close and we were genuinenly surprised by the calm and warm water. The sunset is one of the best I've seen if you have time. A bit walk to restaurants but they are authentic local cuisine. I even thought I've eaten the most authentic here. We ate @ Rosacorral ( I'm not sure if I spelled it right) and our compliments to the chef. The front desk is very helpful. The only drawback is we cannot log in to wifi in the room, only in the lobby. The airport shuttle is convenient and the driver is very nice. The breakfast I think is pretty good. It will cost about 19 euros by uber, 28 euros for taxi and 6 euros each for shuttle.

« Great for Early Flights from FCO »

This is a great place to stay if you have an early flight. The hotel is very comfortable, the staff was nice, and the air conditioning works well (a big plus in Europe.) There's not much to do in the area as far as I could tell, but I was only staying for one night. I had a 9:30am flight to New York and the front desk advised me to take the 6am shuttle so I was glad I decided not to stay in Rome proper my last night. My parents and I stayed in the Classic Triple Room. It was small, but the beds were comfortable and the single bed is a real bed, not a pull out couch. The bathroom was nice, but I will note the opening to the shower is quite small. I could see it potentially being a problem for a larger person. I was able to connect to the wifi, but couldn't really get it to work. This may have just been my problem, but it was late and I was leaving in the morning so it wasn't important. They do have a computer in the lobby where you can print your boarding pass which is helpful. The beach is just at the end of the block, so it's a cute area to walk around. The dining options are very limited. There is no restaurant at the hotel but the attendant at the front desk gave us a recommendation. Unfortunately it was closed. We ended up at the only restaurant we could find that was open, which was sort of a fancy seafood place. It was very nice, but not something I would've chosen given other options. In the morning, I took the 6am shuttle. My parents were able to take a later one. The shuttle cost €6 and took about 20min. We did stop at two other hotels on the way to pick up guests. I was at the airport in plenty of time. Overall, I was quite happy with the experience and would stay here again before a flight.

« Great place for our last night in Italy. »

Pickup and return to airport was easy and convenient. Room and bathroom were fine, we were right off the patio, which was nice. We were within walking distance to the beach, and numerous restaurants, so was able to stick feet in sea, and enjoy a wonderful sunset evening. Hotel had a decent breakfast buffet.

« First stop after arriving at FCO in the evening »

The place is not close to airport - it is hard to find even with GPS. Staff very nice but rooms are small and with a quad it was cramped. Old hotel and surprised carries a Best Westen logo. Very clean but beds were hard and low to floor. Location is a short walk to the beach, in a residential area. Increased to 3 stars because breakfast was lovely- but didn't k ow unroll check out it wasn't included in cost of stay. Wouldn't stay here again.

« Nice and friendly place »

Clean, quiet with a very helpful staff excellent for airport connections. Plenty of restaurants nearby and a good albeit a little slow Wi-Fi signal. I will probably use this place again very satisfied.

« Nice beach location for an close-to-the-airport stay »

Comfortable and clean, this charming hotel is a 2 min stroll to the beach. A nice breakfast awaits you in the morning, which you can enjoy in the breakfast room or the outdoor patio. The staff is friendly and very helpful! We enjoyed our one night on a late arrival into Rome and ended up booking the last night in Rome at the same place for close by access for an early morning flight. There are a few restaurants within walking distance down the seaside road.

« Good choice for airport hotel »

Stayed here recently as we had an early flight. The hotel is basic, but clean and comfortable, and the staff is very friendly. Shuttle was reasonable and on time. The only drawback is a small number of restaurants in walking distance. Mostly seafood.

« Good place to stay after a cruise and before flying back home. »

Room was clean and staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was basic continental and free WiFi good signal. The shuttle to airport was a reasonable rate but ride from the port to hotel was 130 Euros about 50 minutes. The room was basic and the shower door was difficult to move and no face cloths are available so bring your own.

« Great place to stay near Leonardo da Vinci - Fiumicino Airport »

I stayed here one night after arriving at the airport. The shuttle was very reasonable although I would suggest putting a "Best Western Riviera" sign on it to help tired flyers figure out what shuttle to get on. My room was huge with a great balcony. I found it to be very clean and the bathroom was a good size. This hotel is situated in a residential area near the sea but there are restaurants nearby. The front desk staff was very friendly and both people that I dealt with were fluent in English. I took the shuttle to Rome which was a very good deal compared to taking a taxi. This is a great place to stay before or after flying in to Rome and the rates are very reasonable.

« Rather tired hotel that has seen better days »

Convenient to the airport, but located in a slightly run down area. The rooms had an unpleasant smell due to the cleaning product used. However staff were friendly and helpful and room was clean. Rather expensive.

    « God hotel »

The hotel is unpretentious. The room was basic, facing a quiet street, clean, good Wi-Fi signal. Nice helpful staff. They have a guarded parking lot adjacent to the hotel. The breakfast was standard and they provide it starting at 5 am. The location is great. It's close to the airport, saves you the hassle of driving in Rome, and is in walking distance from the beach if it's of any interest. It's very easy to find it from anywhere in Fiumicino, just go in the direction of Lungomare until you get to it, then turn left as it's a one way street and proceed practically to the end of it until you see signs for Rome/Ostia/airport - turn left, it's your street.

« Two overnights - one arriving from airport, one departing at airport »

My husband, adult daughter and I stayed at this hotel traveling to Rome arriving at the airport at 11pm. The last shuttle to the hotel is 10pm so we had to take a 25 E taxi. The hotel is about 15-20 from the airport. It's clean and staff are friendly however the room for three was very, very small. Also, the shower faucet came off in that room. The second night just hubby and I stayed in the ocean view double (daughter traveling elsewhere) - this was a much nicer and we enjoyed our overnight there. We walked along the ocean to a nearby restaurant. Breakfast was fine but we were not used to canned fruit, sweet juice, and lunch meat for a morning meal. The *wonderful* woman who maintained the dining area offered us espresso or cappuccino. She had great customer service skills. The gentleman at the front desk was also friendly and helpful. We took the 6 E shuttle back to the airport on the second stay. I didn't realize there was a fee until after the non-refundable booking. I think the hotel should include the shuttle.

    « No hassle »

Arrived very late because of delayed flight. Not that easy to find by car and the location seemed to confuse the satellite navigation system. Staff member on desk very helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and adequate with selection of cold items and toast. Reasonable value for money.

« Nice for a late flight in »

Close to the airport, stayed here after arriving at the airport close to midnight. Beware of the cab charge from the airport. She said it was a "fixed" charge of 30 euro for what was about a 4 minute ride. Other than that the room was great and shower and bathroom were very nice.

    « Wonderful! »

Great staff, clean rooms, modern, close to airport, and pleasant breakfast. Also enjoyed being close to the beach for walks along the seashore. Staff was very helpful arranging transportation and providing advice for my 5 weeks in Italy.

« Easy access to Fiumicino »

WE booked this hotel as we were arriving late into Rome from the provinces and leaving the next morning for Ireland. It was reasonably priced and reasonably close to the airport. Except for the drop off shuttle, doing the drop offs before they reach this hotel. But we didn't find that a problem. This is a tourist hotel. So nothing salubrious but it suited our needs. Even in winter, theres some nice restaurants not he waterfront, walking distance from the hotel. We found the 'inclusive' brekkie a bit hit and miss. Tables not cleaned (hard to find a clean one when we arrived). But being inclusive, it was basic. Still, it was food and it done us for the morning. Other than that, it was suitable for our needs, being a bed before flying out. The shuttle is a very handy service, with the cost NOT included in your hotel rate. Still reasonable though

« Clean and Tidy, but Horrible Beds »

We recently finished off a 3 week stay in Italy with 2 nights at this hotel. While the rooms were certainly clean, both the beds and the pillows were the worst I have ever encountered. Frankly they felt like slabs of leather, and I just could not get comfortable on them, which is a real drag when a long flight home is to follow. There were also issues with the shuttle service, which having spent a week in Sicily where this service was an integrated part of what the hotel provided, we were surprised to find was not included in the room cost. Cleaning staff were particularly friendly.

    « Nice Experince. »

I stayed in a sea-view suite room with a terrace and it was probably one of biggest rooms I have ever stayed at in Europe. The staff was friendly, both the gentlemen, the evening shift as well as the morning shift. Overall the experience was good and I wont mind staying here again while transiting through Fumiciano.

    « wonderful staff »

All the team was very friendly and helpful. They organized my taxi bookings and I could use the hotel bicycle. They speak English and Spanish very well. The clients can have pastry for free during stay.

« Airport hotel near the sea »

After a cruise, we spent one night at this hotel because it is close to the airport. We were pleasantly surprised to find that is a few blocks from the sea and restaurants. The hotel is small, quiet. Our room was basic, but impeccably clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Everyone we encountered spoke English. A surprisingly bountiful breakfast was available very early - nice because we had an early shuttle to the airport. We will stay here again when we return to Rome.

« Fast, Friendly Service a Boon after a day of Driving. »

We arrived around 7 pm on our last day in Italy before heading home, after a long drive and from Tuscany with stops in Montepulciano and Ovierto. The six of us were loaded down with baggage from our three week trip, and tired and had to prepare for our return flight. (baggage weight was an issue, as usual!!) The service was fast and efficient, (Gianluca was the clerk on duty) and restaurant recommendations provided immediately within walking distance. A bonus that we were unaware of is that this hotel is a block away from a beautiful white-sand beach which would have been welcome had we arrived earlier in the day. There are two restaurants about a ten minute walk. One, a seafood restaurant, was completely full and unable to accommodate us, but the second restaurant (a pizzeria, which is more than just pizza in Italy) was excellent and great value. We had pre-booked this hotel for its proximity to the airport (5 km from Leonardo da Vinci terminal), but away from the high priced airport hotels. At around $150.00 Canadian, it was reasonably priced, offers a shutter to the airport (6 euros per person) and was very comfortable. It was a great decision to stop here for the night rather than rushing to a flight after our long day. It helped make the long flight home (12 hours) bearable.

« Nice area near the sea and airport. »

The staff was very pleasant and spoke english well. The hotel was clean and looked good. It was a couple of blocks from the sea. Our room had a balcony. The shower stall was very small though. The shuttle to and from the airport and the center of Rome was reliable. It cost a lot though 14 euro per person each way to the center of Rome. If you have more than 2 people in your group use a cab.

« Nice hotel, near the airport but still quiet. »

As I write this report I'm sitting on the balcony (as big as the room) listening to the waves crash on the shore only a couple of blocks a way. Were staying here only 2 days but we have no complaints. Staff is friendly and helpful, speak English which is good as I speak no Italian. Room is clean and fairly modern, with all necessitys. A couple of small complaints, a super small shower, a fairly hard bed with tiny pillows and there was no eggs at breakfast. I will admit that these are common issues for Europe so I don't fault them. Overall a good reasonably priced Hotel, only €6 shuttle from airport.

    « Greatwood1 »

Ok, firstly this is a 3 star Hotel. Dont expect 5 star decor and rooms. However the reception Staff are very friendly and have good local knowledge. Rooms are clean and appear well maintained. Breakfast was an adequate Continental buffet which fully accomodated my 250lb needs ! Unfortunately the weather wasnt too good on our visit but there is a perfectly good beach for sunbathing about 200yds away. We would/will return as good VFM.

« Pit stop at FCO »

We booked this hotel because of its proximity to the airport. We wanted a hotel close to the hotel where we can sleep overnight after traveling 19+ hours from Los Angeles, en route to Barcelona the next day. The room we got had 4 beds, very spacious, clean and well let perfect for my wife and I and our daughters 4 and 7. Beds were quite comfortable, easy to fall asleep in after the long haul. Bathroom complete with tub, shower and bidet. Breakfast the next day was OK, not bad coming from BW continental. Yogurt, hard boiled eggs, ham, salami, and pastries. Staff was courteous, even arranged for our airport transfer and wake up call the next day.

    « good location »

the hotel is 20 min drive from the airport, we used the hotel shuttle and it was very good. the hotel is 2-3 min walk to the beach the room is not big, the shower is realy small and inconvient, the air condition was not very good but it was ok, the WIFI was very bad in the rooms, in the reception it was a lot better. the breakfast was very nice. to conculde, it is a nice hotel for 1 night.

    « Nice hotel »

We stayed for one night pre-cruise and were very comfortable. We took the shuttle from the airport to the hotel for 6 euro per person. The room was quite warm when we got in but cooled down quickly once we got the A/C on. The room was small but clean. We slept well in the bed and enjoyed the fresh cappuccino at breakfast. It was also nice to be able to walk to the beach in the morning for a while before catching our shuttle to the port. We would stay here again!
