« Well priced for easy access to DC »

Recently stayed at the hotel for several days. It's conveniently located close to DC using the metro - East Falls Church. Hotel has a shuttle bus that drops off at Metro from 7 am and picks up from metro until 9 pm. Very convenient. Metro is silver/orange line and 20 minutes to metro center. Daily breakfast was okay but monotonous, same scrambled eggs everyday etc.. Shares a fence with CVS - which is convenient. In the same shopping complex as the CVS is one Chinese and one American restaurant. Hotel is dated like other reviewers said with faded/worn carpets but for the price is cheaper than most... so.. No elevator in a 2 storey building so luggages are a problem, though I found out they have an elevator which is reserved for staff use only - for freight? Miguel's restaurant serves great food and Shay and other lady - do an awesome job!! Kudos to the Chef and team at Miguel's. Jessica at the front desk was also most helpful. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would be back if necessary.

« Great service. Shay in the attached restaurant is great. »

You are staying in a budget hotel so expect budget characteristics. If you're cool with that then you'll have a great time at this Best Western. I had dinner at the restaurant. Food was nothing to write home about, but my spaghetti dinner got the job done. Shay was great and got all my requests right. One tip if you stay here... don't forget to pick up some free cookies at the front desk!

    « Stay OK - Needs Renovation »

We were here apartment hunting for my son. While I felt that the hotel was clean, the decor was very outdated. This hotel needs renovating. Staff was friendly and courteous. Breakfast was pretty good.

    « Dated facility »

Hotel was clean, but very dated. Poor quality sheets and towels. Carpet in the lobby and rooms looks very worn. There was not an elevator to the second floor. The staff cleaning room was very pleasant.Front desk staff member was rude.

    « Relaxed stay »

Enjoyed the stay; staff very friendly. Wish breakfast food options were varied....we were there for 12 nights and I ended up unable to eat after a few mornings.....selection got boring. Rooms were clean, comfy and hotel staff were always ready to assist. The free shuttle service to the metro station really added value, but wish they could have an airport transfer service too.

    « Bartender @ Miguel's »

Shay was really awesome doing the time of our stay when we came in from work it was nice to talk to a friendly person reminds me of back home the bar itself is ok alil quiet but nice. Looking forward to seeing you guys in January

« Old but cheap and close to attractions »

Check-in good, complementary breakfast the usual typical buffet, good coffee in the bedroom, older bedroom in terms of furnishings and carpet, quiet, cheaper than other Best Westerns because it's a bit farther out. You get a shuttle to Est Falls Church metro which you can take to go see the attractions. It is a safe, busy area-restaurants nearby, grocery store. Short drive to downtown Washington DC if not in traffic hours. Room had a microwave and small fridge. It served our purpose well and I would recommend it to people. No elevator so if you're dragging luggage, ask for main floor room.

« Good hotel & fairly close to DC. »

Good, well kept hotel. Check-in was quick, checkout even quicker) Room was clean overall. TV didn't work, but it didn't bother me - i wasn't there to watch TV. Breakfast could use a little more choices. There is a pharmacy right next door if you want a quick snack.

« Very nice hotel for travelers! »

Stayed here with my family of 5 on the second level. The only reason this hotel doesn't get a 5 is because there is no elevator. Great breakfast and only a 5 minute drive from the West Falls Church Metro Station. We took the metro train into DC everyday to look at the museum's and to get to the white house.

    « hotel rating »

great place, fair price, close to restaurants, major highways, gas stations, major city. Staff very helpful ,pleasant , courteous. Rooms very quiet, good lighting, clean tv remote. Comfortable beds and pillows. Parking close to rooms

    « Bartender @ Miguels »

Stayed at the Best Western in Falls church for my little brothers wedding. Shay was the bartender at Miguels (the restaurant attached to the hotel) she was friendly and personable. Exactly the type of service me and my partner needed after crazy family time!

« Best Western - Falls Church Review »

We had a lovely stay and our visit was brightened by Shay in Miguel's Restaurant - excellent and friendly service. She made us feel welcome and at home. The rest of the staff were warm, welcoming and all around great. Thank you!!!

    « Average Hotel »

Overall, the hotel was average and the rooms were of good size. Location: was great as you are very close to downtown by driving and the hotel has a shuttle service to nearest subway station stop. They also had restaurant at walking distance and stores like target, Ross and Burlington Factory were few minutes of driving. Room: The room was quite big and clean. Their were the basics like TV, coffee maker, fridge, microwave, safe etc...The draw back was that the carpet needs changing as its at a stage where you can feel the moist smell. Breakfast: was included and they did serve eggs but the overall breakfast was average. The sitting space was of good size. Service: was quite good the check in and check out were simple. The staff was friendly, they also had courtesy cookies and tea & coffee in evenings. WiFi: free wifi is included. Parking: was available on site.

    « Program Manager »

This was a good trip. They accommodated me to all my needs. The restaurant/bar was awesome, Shay, Carlos and Badam at the front desk were awesome. They made this business trip a good one. I'll definitely come back here again. Thank you guys for all your help.

    « Ok for 1 night »

We spent 1 night after arriving to wa at night and this was the only bw that had a room for us. Location is far from the mall and the center. Room was vlean and had space for the 5 of us but a bit smell of old. Breakfast was nice like any other BW . Across the street there is a laundry 24 hours that was great to me. CVS also atthached to the hotel. Nice for 1 night

« Good value, terrible sound abatement »

Nice accommodations, but the walls are "paper thin". People running in the hallway, doors slamming, and we were in room 108 where there is a traffic convergence. Service is mostly friendly. Shuttle service to Metro station very convenient. CVS right next door if you need anything. Not good for wheel chairs. No elevator and there are about 6 steps to get up the split level to the rooms.

    « Lots of problems »

Doesn't have an elevator for 2nd floor Card locks don't work well Ice machines don't work No ramp from lobby to 1st floor. Very difficult to move luggage. Computer and printer for guests didn't work. Wireless for the rooms did not work well. We stayed four days and had problems each day. Very frustrating

    « Great Staff ! »

The staff went over & above to help us when our rental car died. This is what you want when traveling away from home. Good to see people who Care. Good to have the shuttle to bring guests to the Metro, to visit DC. Watch for limited hours. We took uber back when late.

    « Just ok »

Stayed here because they have free shuttle to metro station. Took about 15 minutes to get to all museums downtown D.C. The rooms were clean just an old place. No elevator so request a first floor room or be prepared to carry your luggage up stairs. Breakfast was ok, coffee tasted weird ! There is a pool but didn't use it. Hotel had Mexican restaurant and the food was good!

    « Good meal »

Great meal!! and Carlos was awsome! food was great!! room was cool too!! the hotel was a good place for shopping and food. Staff was always helpful. Close to DC and metro station. CVs next door and they have a good breakfast all included

    « Great meal »

Good food en great service by Carlos en Thuy!! Nice room and a very nice welkom at the reception. The shuttle bus front the hotel too the metro is great. We had alleen great experion at the best western falls church inn!

« Best western falls church inn »

Very nice reception by staff and a nice room with more than enough space for the two of us. Even got a complimentary meal from employees Carlos&Thuy. Shuttle service is available to the metro station that takes you right into Washington D.C.

    « Outdated »

Four nights here with my family. Bad choice. Breakfast was terrible. Waffle machines always broken, Orange juice warm from the dispenser, just muffins and coffee. Room not bad (clean) but the floor carpet is old as it's old in the alley as well.Tv remote controller disappeared one day replaced with another not working (Olympic games on tv during our stay....) In the fitness room was impossible to have a session of run just because it was 83 fahrenheit and the air conditioned display didn't work.....). The room key always demagnetized. Location it's not bad to reach Washington, but too few Restaurant nearby. Definetely not a good choice.

« The Best Customer Service »

During check in I experienced royal treatment from a free upgrade to assistance in my 7 day touring the DC area. That evening I enjoyed a dinner and a drink from the bar. I was served by 2 great folks Carlos and Thuy. What a great team and it was also an outstanding dinner. This is my first day and evening with 6 more to go.

    « Dirty »

The front desk staff were as helpful and nice. The hallway smelled of mold. The room was dirty. The bathtub had a soft floor and you could hear water underneath the tub as you moved. Everything was dusty with caked on dirt. Needs serious updating and a serious or better trained cleaning staff.

    « Choose Another Hotel!! »

Poor room conditions and availability, poor breakfast food, no handicap accessibility with no elevator for 2nd floor so you have to drag your luggage up a huge flight of stairs, mold/mildew smell throughout first floor.

    « Bugs, Mold, Feces. »

This is one of the most disgusting places I have ever stayed. As soon I walked into my room, I was greeted with a very unpleasant aroma coming from the bathroom. When I walked in to investigate, I saw feces smeared all over the inside of the toilet. Repulsed, I turned to run out, and saw two water bugs running along the floor. Outraged, I went to management, where they offered me nothing more than free breakfast to compensate. Never stay here.

    « TERRIBLE »

I am outraged. I stayed at this hotel about two weeks ago and I got calls from the other rooms pretending to be the front desk and harassing me and I got no compensation. In fact, the manager laughed. Never stay at this hotel ever because they are rude there. Also there was rat feces in the beds.

    « a 2 day stop in Washington DC »

our warming receptionist turned out to be 'in training' but in fact she could have taught another member of staff a thing or two?? We had a few requests/questions but nothing was too much trouble, she even bought the map to our room. Room was ok, not the best we had stayed in, and we were surprised to be charged for a pull out bed that we had requested prior to our arrival? Breakfast was ok, and we liked the yogurt machine. This hotel had a lovely pool but unless you were in one of the rooms at ground level, pool side, you could get out to it but had to return to your room through reception!! I think it would be better used if access was addressed? Now, to that stroppy receptionist..........I am a visitor to your country, and I am a paying guest. I only had ONE request, that we did not want our towels changed for the 2 day stay. when I came to reception to ask for more towels as the maids obviously never got that message and only left 2, rather than arguing with me where I had left them, you should has listened (carefully, as English is a really hard language to understand!) to what I was saying ???

    « Hotel »

The room was very clean. For some reason it was very humid even with AC running. Breakfast was good but not enough staff to stock plates, silverware, juice, etc. Shuttle to and from Metro was efficient. Very friendly helpful driver. He even drove us to where we wanted to dine so we could get there ourselves. Great place to stay when touring Washington DC.

« Most accommodating group visit »

Our group stayed at the Best Western for 2 nights. Everyone from the front desk to housekeeping was incredibly accommodating, warm and kind. We had a catered pizza party and everything was on point, and our group was well taken care of. The rooms were incredibly clean and up to date. Thank you for a great stay. We will definitely be back!

« Convenient Location Attentive Staff »

From the minute my group arrived until the moment we left the staff was wonderful. Attentive to all of our needs, and a pleasure to work with. Affordable and convenient. My groups stays here EVERY time we travel to the DC area.

    « Wet Dump With a Bug »

This place was the worst!!! Hotel clerk pleasant enough but charged us for most expensive room with 2 double beds without asking us what type of room we wanted. We had both AAA & . senior citizen discounts , but room was over$100 I told her on phone it said $61 , she said that 's just on Internet & it was too late to change it . When we walked in room it was freezing & had a weird smell . I turned down the AC. After we settled in, a water bug/ large cockroach ran across the floor between the beds - my husband caught it & brought it to the desk clerk , she said she would give us a discount. The room should have been comped for that. When we later went to adjust the temperature again ,this time with our shoes off , the carpeting in front of the AC was soaking wet , and we realized the funny smell was mildew . This room was disgusting!!! DO NOT STAY HERE! I don' t understand it, we chose Best Western because we stayed at one in Savannah , it was clean, modern , beautiful, & cost $74 with a cat. The Savannah hotel was like a 4 star -We are not going to Best Western again, except in Savannah. It is better to sleep n your car unless you want to be on bug watch all night.

    « vacation »

The employees were very friendly and helpful. The hotel offers transportation to the metro station 4 hours in the morning and 4 hours at night. Both drivers are knowledgeable about the area. We ate all breakfasts and suppers in the restaurant. Carlos in the restaurant makes you feel very welcome. Each week the facility has a cookout free of charge for all the guests. Will stay here again.

    « Friendly Hotel »

We just recently stayed at Best Western Falls Church. The front desk was very polite and there was a complimentary shuttle service to the East Falls Church Metro Station. The room was spacious, very clean in fact. Breakfast was hot and nice too. Overall, the hotel was very cozy even though it is a bit old. Location is very good, right off US 50. You have to go into the service road beside US 50 to get into the hotel though. If you are coming westwards, you need to turn at Annandale and make a left turn at the U.S. 50 service road. If you are visiting Washington DC, I recommend using the metro to get into and out of town during weekday peak hours. U.S. 50 during that time is usually jammed.

    « Excellent restaraunt experience »

Restaurant dinner. The all you can eat prime dinner was excellent. The server Carlos provided flawless service. The prime rib was ovet 16 oz. and was cooked to perfection. I would recommend this restaraunt to anyone looking for a great meal and flawless service.

    « Miguel's »

Had a good meal at Miguel's, the restaurant right there in the hotel. Food was good and my waiter Carlos was great Their taco Tuesday meal is a good deal. I enjoyed my time there. There seemed to be lots of options on the menu along with a daily special. The hotel itself is what you'd expect for the rates. Not bad at all.

« family trip arlington buriel for husband »

this was a horrible experience for my family and we will always remember how badly we were treated at the hotel I was embarrassed and made to look like a criminal after being escorted from said property by police and then told to forward to a room at another Best Western property for the remainder of my stay. It looks like my money was still acceptable so I was at least worth that. What a slap in the face that felt like. Good by Best Western.

    « Loved it!!! »

Rooms were clean, pool area was great! Hotel has poolside rooms with access to pool area and courtyard. Free hamburgers and hotdogs poolside. Staff and lifeguard were very friendly. $16 Uber ride to DC. Lot of restaurants in the surrounding area. Will definitely stay again.

    « Enjoyed my stay »

I had a good experience at this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was good. The first time I have been to a placed that had a variety of breakfast food. Scrambled eggs instead of boiled eggs every meal (smile). The lady working the breakfast bar was really nice and on her job.

« Our stay in Virginia »

Me and my family stayed here for a few days while visiting my husband family It was our first time coming to Virginia. The hotel was ok not what I expected, wish the beds were alittle bigger. The free breakfast was simple but just enough to get by in the morning. There is a 24hr CVS next door that came handy if you needed something. We went sight seeing in DC took us 15-20 minutes to get there which was great. One good thing was that they offered a free shuttle to and from the station to go to DC. Overall my family and I have a wonderful time in Virginia

« Good Rate, Terrible Stay »

The rate was good. Breakfast was offered. I'd stayed at Best Westerns before and had a great experience. This was not the case for this stay. The location was decent, kind of difficult to get in and out of. Metro station is about 5mins away. Breakfast was terrible. The eating area was filthy. Constantly ran out of plates and utensils. The rooms had a musty smell to them and were very humid. Hair in the beds and bathrooms. Overall bad attitude from the front desk workers as well. I would not recommend staying here. There's a Hampton Inn about a half mile closer to the metro station that I wish I had known about.

    « Funeral-Arlington/Family time »

Upon arrival to Best Western it was a pleasant surprise how welcoming staff was. Amazing. The rooms were clean, pool fun (life guard nice , yes yes a life guard at hotel pool), complimentary breakfast was good, shuttle was awesome to bring us to the metro, printer available to print off boarding passes. Also nice to have a restaurant with food and beverages. We were considered about rough neighborhood NOT one time did we feel worried. Ages of travelers 40-72. The front desk administrator contacted us a taxi for the next morning 5 a.m. to get to the airport approx.15 minute drive. Nice to have our taxi show up on time. Shuttle from hotel was pleasant and not too long of waiting (to from metro). Would definitely recommend! Thank u for the worry free hospitality.

« Nice place for the night. »

We stayed here for one night so we could do a quick visit to DC. The free shuttle to the metro was very convenient and it was great that we could leave our car for the day even though we checked out. Easy to find from the highway and a safe area. The room was clean, some features seemed a little old or worn but nothing major. Good value for the location.

    « Breakfast was wonderful! »

We were planning a four day trip to Washington, D. C. for our grandchildren when I booked this motel. I wanted adjoining rooms for us and our daughters' family, which we did get. I received a quote for a certain amount for each room and asked that a confirmation be sent to me via email. And it is a good thing I did because when we got there, they were charging us $15.00 more each night for each room. When my husband pulled out the confirmation sheet, they did give us the rooms for that rate. The rooms were okay but the mattresses were very old and the first night, I got the 'Fred and Ethel' bed as I kept rolling into our granddaughter who slept with me, so my husband changed with us the second night. The motel is a little older than most but the rooms were quiet. The really bright spot in staying, was the breakfast. It was a full breakfast and we all ate our fill. The lady who was there serving every morning, was so nice and was very accommodating to anything we asked of her. I don't know her name but she appeared to be oriental. I thanked her for all her hard work in keeping up with all the guests which included large bus loads of people that were there each morning. I never saw her stop moving the whole time we were there for breakfast. I would like to 'thank' her again for her hospitality during our visit and taking care of my family. The motel location is a little further out than we would have liked but after hearing how much my friend and her family paid for their motel in down-town Washington (this same week) which did not include a free breakfast and they charged for parking, we didn't mind the little extra drive to the Metro station. The motel does have service to and from the Metro but we chose to drive our own car. Yes, I would recommend this motel for working people who can't afford the 'Ritz' and - we would stay there again.

    « Unusually poor »

I will not stay there again. The room was tacky and breakfast marginal. The pillows were small and lumpy, The lighting was poor, and there was mold on the shower curtain. For a BW so near the capitol it did not represent the company well.

    « Nice Place »

Met up here with my son and his family. Nice clean hotel, very close to Arlington National Cemetery, also all the sites in DC. Outdoor pool that was fairly warm ( they kept it covered at night, and had a full time lifeguard). Nice breakfast and lounge room. Limited menu in the restaurant but the bar tender was very nice. Fifi working the front desk was amazing. Close to the mall and had some good restaurants in the mall complex. Price was okay at $120. Only downside was no elevator so you had to haul your luggage up the 1 flight of stairs, if you were on the second floor.

    « Washington DC Vacation »

My son and I took a week to visit the sites and museums of Washington, DC. This hotel had a nice complementary breakfast. Although most days we didn't get a doughnut or Danish as they were out or didn't have any. We used the hotel's shuttle service to and from the East Falls Church Metro station. We found this very useful and convenient. We never waited more than 20 minutes.

    « They keep improving... »

This is my second stay within seven months...even in that short time I encountered improvement with the general appearance of the property. I stayed in the same room as last October. I found updated, new bedding and linen items. When in the room I found the TV remote missing, I called the front desk and within minutes someone brought one to the room. The staff was attentive, while I have read some negative reviews I have never had an issue that wasn't addressed quickly. I will stay again and recommend to my friends visiting the DC area.

« Price and experience were pretty well matched »

This is a nice place to stay. Hard to find something else with clean rooms at these prices. I don't ever have much in the way of expectations at this motel, but the manager is a caring individual and the staff was a bit mixed. I will be back again next year.

« Basic hotel at reasonable rates »

I've stayed several times at this hotel mainly because of its location. It's an older hotel and it is reasonably priced for the area. It's not fancy but it does provide basic accommodations with a clean and friendly atmosphere. It does get a lot of tour and weekend school athletic groups but was surprisingly quiet in the evening afterhours.

« No concern for guests »

This hotel apparently only cares about tour buses. They block off multiple parking spaces for tour buses at the expense of other guests. This includes the handicapped spaces. The hotel is not ADA compliant and this compounds the problem if you have mobility issues. The staff seems totally indifferent to all the noise caused by the occupants of the tour buses. Housekeeping did not replenish all used items daily such as cups, washcloths, etc.

« Trip to Kennedy Center »

The Check in was excellent. We were an hour early and they found a room that was cleaned. The room was clean and big certainly worth the money. Only tip I would I would make is for a handicap person, request the first floor as they do not have an elevator to the second floor. The hot breakfast was good and the had a nice selection.

    « Great place »

This was a great stay. The staff greeted us as soon as we entered the lobby and made sure we had questions answered. Breakfast is the standard and free cookies at night are nice touch. Restaurant was okay with not much of a choice of items. Plenty of food options in the area

« Worst hotel night ever »

I travel on business and was looking forward to a break from my day and a change to work and recuperate. The lady at the front desk did not even look away from her phone call as she attempted to check me in. I had to climb stairs to get to my room, and she did not tell me there was a back door I could drive to without stairs. The television did not work and there was no one there who could fix it. There were scads of families with children going in and out of rooms, slamming doors, and with no TV to block out the noise it was a horrendous night. This is an old hotel and the walls are thin. The breakfast offered nothing that I would choose to eat. Overall a terrible choice.

« Good Option for the Night (minus the motorcoaches) »

The location of the hotel was convenient based on my activities in the area. Check in was smooth once the clerk was no longer overwhelmed with finding parking for two busses. Maybe it was a bad night, but two motorcoaches blocking access to a majority of the available spaces forced me to find creative options of my own for parking. Rooms were nice and clean. WiFi access info is provided with my room key. There are several options for breakfast in the restaurant. A shuttle is available for transportation to East Falls Church Metro Station.

« Motel in Need of Upgrade »

The tub had cracks and was spongy; you got the feeling that things weren't clean. The internet was virtually nonexistent. We were constantly out in the hallway in order to get a signal. Breakfast buffet was the same every day: no fruit, lots of carbs, hard, dry scrambled eggs, and tasteless bacon/fatty sausage.

    « The best hotel »

Evelyn is wonderful a great waitress, bartender very kind and caring to us customers. She is doing a very good job at the best western. Evelyn is a great worker, she checked on us every 5 minutes an made sure are drinks stayed Full she's on top of her job she is a very good person.

    « Service was awful »

Used this hotel for visit to Washington, DC. The service at this hotel was awful, the room was not very clean and had water stains on the ceiling, breakfast items were not replenished timely nor tables wiped clean.

    « Very professional staff »

The staff went out of their way to provide a very pleasant stay. The lady in the restaurant took very good care of me and made me feel like I was a priority. I have made it a habit to check for BW hotels when I do monthly traveling because of the consistently good service.

  • 4
« Older but not bad »

This is a nice hotel in a decent, accessible area of DC that's on the older side but comfortable. There isn't much choice in food, around it -- the hotel's restaurant, an FRD, and Macdonald's down the road -- and the internet service is very slow. I kept getting kicked off it so it was hard to do business, I talked to the tech people and they pretty much fixed it, but that was an irritation. On the plus side, it has a limited-hours shuttle to the metro station so you can get to DC without driving, which is a big plus. And the rate was okay.

« School Group Very Happy with Hotel Choice »

We traveled as a school group with 4 adult chaperones and 35 Eighth Grade Students. Our experience was excellent. We had a separate breakfast room with hot breakfast each morning. The staff allowed our kids to sit in the corner of the restaurant to play cards for a short bit of time before lights out each night. The rooms were clean and new looking. Getting to and from Washington D.C. was very easy. Overall, it was the best experience I ever had with a hotel for the 6 school trips that I have been part of

« Lack of attention to guests »

Upon arrival outside was not bad and check in went well. Walked into our room that smelled. Turned on the TV had limited service so I called the front desk and was told will be there in an hour. Came back to our room a few hours later will still no TV service called front desk who said would be here at 12 the next day to fix after I leave the hotel. Shower head sprayed everywhere and beds you could use as a trampoline.

« Average, but Clean Hotel »

We stayed here one night while traveling around the East Coast. The room was bigger than most motel/hotel rooms. Plenty of towels, electric plug outlets, etc. Bed was comfortable. Wifi was adequate. Breakfast was scrambled eggs, sausage, cereal, make-your-own waffles, juice, milk, etc. TV was high def. Our one complaint was the room was noisy. We heard the people in the adjacent rooms talking and using the bathrooms. People walking in the hallway made the most noise. Not sure if we would stay here again.

    « Awesome food »

The restaurant food is the best in the area. If you like stake you will love the way it's prepared here. The team at this location is friendly and will make you feel at home. Unfortunately the kitchen closes at 8:30 so get there early. Pete.

    « Slightly disappointed »

The rooms are old and worn out looking. The two rooms we reserved weren't very clean, mirrors were dirty. Had to wipe down things, no toilet paper roll holder. TP was just sitting on counter. Housekeeping did a nice job when we left daily tips. They made sure we had what we needed. However, we only got conditioner, no shampoo. Extra coffee when we asked. I stay exclusively at BW's, have been a Gold Crown member for over 15 years, this was not one of the better ones I've stayed in. I was very disappointed when I arrived. Got used to it after a 7 day stay.

« Great hotel and price! »

This hotel is absolutely a great find for the price. While it's an older hotel, it was very clean, great price and the Metro ride in to D.C. was very convenient. The breakfast was decent, they had eggs, bacon or sausage, etc. along with your regular breakfast items so that was a nice plus. The staff was very friendly and helpful whenever we needed to ask questions. The shuttle runs to the Metro during the morning and evening hours, the driver was very friendly and courteous as well. The beds weren't the most comfortable but for the price it was great. I have never been to Falls Church so when traveling some place for the first time I always worry about the neighborhood I'm staying in. I felt very safe, lot of dining options nearby, pharmacies, etc.

« Nice hotel, friendly staff and service »

I searched online prior to our trip for 6 adults so we needed two rooms. I booked directly with the hotel and was given the AAA + rate since we were getting two rooms for 2 nights. I reserved two cots in advance and was quoted a good price. Upon arrival, nothing had changed and the cots were delivered shortly after we arrived so we did not have to wait long and could go to dinner. A free shuttle was provided to the Metro in the morning and when we returned from visiting DC, we just had to call and the shuttle picked us up quickly. Check with the hotel for last pick up times. The breakfast was a full breakfast and staff routinely checked and restocked the food as needed. The dinning room was large and roomy for a big hotel. The rooms were clean and the wifi worked well. Staff were very friendly and helpful, even offering some suggestions to save us time and money.

    « The flip trip »

I had a Geat room . The staff was great when I got there at almost midnight . Those red eye flights almost kill a person. The room I had was stocked with plenty of towels and a king size bed that was so soft to sleep in. My bathroom was very clean and so was the room. The family will be staying there for four days in October for the Army 10 mile run .

« Disappointing stay, all around. »

I reserved two rooms online. When I arrived at the hotel, I checked in to my room and told the desk clerk I would be picking my parents up from the airport and checking them in later in the day. The clerk said she would set aside another room near mine for my parents and gave me the room number. When I returned a few hours later with my parents, that room had been given away. My parents were given a room with only one bed, instead of the two-bed room I had reserved. And then there was a problem with room keys for my parents room-- they didn't work. There must be an issue with the card key reader, because even the desk clerk had trouble opening the door with the emergency key card. My parents spent a considerable amount of time standing around in the hallway or in my room, because they couldn't get access to their own room because of the faulty door. The restaurant attached to the hotel is poorly management. When my father and I went to the restaurant for lunch, no one was in the restaurant-- not one employee. My father and I stood at the host desk for five minutes, but no one appeared. I had to go to the front desk and ask if the restaurant was open. The clerk said she would go and get the employee. That employee showed up a few minutes later and finally took our order. The menu was quite limited. The food was a huge disappointment. I ordered potato skins, which were thin "shells" with a ton of greasy melted cheese in the center, and very little potato. I also ordered a crab cake sandwich, which was utterly tasteless. The only thing that was even remotely palatable were the french fries, but I didn't want to fill up on them. I decided not to give the restaurant another chance to underwhelm me, and sought out food at other locations. The final issue is that I made the reservation with my debit card, but gave the clerk my credit card for processing when I checked in. I was sharing the room with my sister, and I ended up leaving a day earlier than the expiration of the stay. Before I left, however, I went to the desk to request that the total bill be applied to my credit card after my sister checked out. I was surprised to see that my credit card wasn't billed-- the debit card I originally used to make the reservation was. As a consequence, my checking account was overdrawn and I incurred $30 fee. This was the worst stay at a hotel I have had in a very long time. Avoid staying here if you expect a good value for your money and excellent customer service.

« Great room, poor handicap access »

I was in a 2nd floor room ~ it was a Great room. It was quiet! No outside noise. Very clean, great water pressure in bathroom. Comfortable bed. NOTE: You will climb stairs! From the lobby, there are stairs to get to the 1st floor rooms, and another staircase to 2nd floor. NO guest elevator. Banquet room could use improvements ~ it smells musty, bathroom lacked paper towels & a garbage can, but the staff brought them when asked. The property exterior is very nice. Beautiful lobby & restaurant/bar/lounge, which are all in the same room.

« Excellent hotel in falls church »

Very quiet , cleaning rooms , friendly staff . Good location , surrounded by many markets and close to CVS , 7 eleven ..... I suggest this hotel for any family or solo visitors For any further inquiry , you can check website if bestwestern falls church in

    « Mr.Abbot »

Smooth check in front person"Monica" was wonderful help with my needs felt at home great place to stay close to DC and conference center. Room was well kept I asked for extra towels and supplies with no issues . Will plan on using hotel again in the future for family trip

« An unfortunately bad stay. »

The good: Right on Highway 50 in Falls Church near several strip malls with food and other services within walking distance. Price per night was OK. The so-so: Traffic can be very heavy in this area, making getting in & out a hassle during commute times. Since the stop lights are all on timers (vs. sensors out on the West Coast) the wait to make a u-turn at peak traffic hours can be 6 minutes or more. The bad: Our room (#130) was not very nice. It smelled poorly, had peeling wallpaper, the door lock took 4-8 tries with the key before it would jiggle open, the toilet would intermittently run, the bathtub did not drain much at all, there was visible water damage in the ceiling corners with mold, the bathroom door would not close properly, and the bathroom door looked like it had been in a bar fight. I should point out that I have stayed at a number of Best Western hotels and this is not normal. Also, the front desk was concerned with the quality of our stay, which was nice. Breakfast was not good. No meat whatsoever. Eggs were crusty & gross by 7:30 a.m. Juice machine was broken and the orange juice was sitting out in an old beer pitcher with a matching pitcher of milk. The waffle maker salvaged our breakfast but we did not go back on our only other morning at the hotel. Also, the hallway smelled of cigarettes which was probably from some numskull stepping out a butt and tracking the remnants into the building. If the smoking area were farther away from the building this might be avoided.

    « Good location-reasonable price- excellent service »

We arrived at the Inn and upon learning that I had a physical condition, (COPD) they helped us with our luggage as if they had a regular "bell service". After checking in, we were able to have a nice meal at "Miguel's" restaurant with a nice cocktail from the bar. They provided a shuttle service to and from the East Falls Church Metro station. The normal hotel qualities were very good, including the free breakfast. When we checked out, we again were given a "bell service" treatment which was much appreciated. All in all, I would recommend this as a good hotel with premium service.

« Great location. Great staff. Great accommodations. »

Ask for what you need and you will receive. This hotel is older but the rooms are very clean and the lobby and restaurant very very nice. Breakfast excellent. Monica, manager, very kind and helpful. All staff is as well. Some rooms have entrance to hallway and outside, so if you have service animal or pet, it is easy for potty breaks.

« Large clean room with friendly service »

The check in was very easy a friendly which made things great since I arrived late. The rooms are large with flat screen TV, small fridge, microwave and complementary coffee with coffee maker in room. The room that I stayed in had one door leading to hallway and another leading to front of hotel, which was good to be able to walk directly to parking lot and not have to go through lobby. The restaurant was nice and clean and food was good, they have a Mexican restaurant in hotel, the quesadillas were great. The room also had ironing board/iron and hair dryer and a safe. The pillows were nice a soft bed a little firm but this is just me. The location was less than 10 miles from White House so it is close to DC and there is a Metro station only a few miles away which is great. Military/veteran friendly hotel if one is a vet or active duty this would be the best place while doing business in DC.

    « DC trip »

Old and outdated property....very dismal, dark and depressing.. Overpriced for the quality of the room. The staff were all great, but the property was not enjoyable to stay at. The location was good to be able to get to the Metro by the hotel's shuttle. Taking the Metro to visit Washington DC was the only way to go.

    « STAY HERE! »

Great service! Great amenities! Clean rooms! Good location. And they have a computer for use in the lobby. Which is why when I attend a concert at The Birchmere in Alexandria, VA I ALWAYS stay over at this Best Western. They always make you feel welcome.

    « Not so great »

This facility appears to be in the midst of renovation... and in NEED of it! Shower curtain rod was coming loose from the walls, towels were in need of replacement, lighting was lower than needed. Front desk assistance was variable. Shuttle to/from Metro was excellent but needs to be available mid-day as well as morning/evening.

    « Another great stay! »

This is my second stay, in 2015, at the Best Western Falls Church in. The staff is very professional and willing to do whatever is needed to make your stay, perfect. I have to give a shout out to the restaurant staff. The food we had for dinner on Saturday 10/10/15 was top of the line.

« "Great Place to Stay" »

The staff was very polite, courteous and professional . The manager on duty Mr. Dave Crance went above and beyond the call of duty making us feel at home . The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. Two thumbs up on the continental breakfast . The parking is very well lit and spacious . It is a great place to stay if your planning to go Washington DC for sight seeing or on a road trip. The free Wi-Fi worked very well .

« Awesome stay great staff and price »

Had a chance to meet the ownership and staff. Incredible people and focused on caring for your needs and makes sure they are taken care of. Dave Crance made sure we were well taken care of. Each staff member took time to have a welcome experience.

    « GROSS! »

This hotel is in major need of renovation and TLC. I came with a large school group and witnessed a rat (not a mouse) in the 2nd floor hallway that ran at my feet then into another room. A roach in the room as well. The carpet is dingy, the rooms need painting and updating, the beds are AWFUL. Stains on the ceiling...bathroom door wouldn't shut or lock. I asked twice for towels and wash clothes only to be told each time they ran out of wash clothes and would only give me two to three towels and I all but had to give my blood type to receive them. I did notify the staff of the rat issue in a very discreet manner but that is just inexcusable. If the hotel was cleaner you might not see these issues. I had no choice but to stay in this hotel because this is where the whole group was staying. I honestly have never felt so dirty in a hotel before. Continental breakfast? I was scared to eat the food there actually. The day shift staff at the front desk was much more courteous than night shift. Upon checkout I was asked would I like to join the Best Western rewards program?!?! ....ummm NO. I hope I NEVER have to stay at any Best Western again. My vehicle was cleaner than this hotel.

    « Dirty, unmanaged hotel »

This was the worst hotel. I am not a picky person, and I don't usually write reviews, but I had a booger on my bed sheets and was made to make it up myself with clean ones. The gas exhaust in my room, didn't seem to bother the staff. Any time there was a complaint, they seemed like you were bothering them. From the Shuttle running time to the orange soda that came out of the water button in the vending machine was bad. I was extremely dissatisfied with my stay - and it cost me over $500 to be there. I was there for a funeral at Arlington, which is hard to begin with and to deal with the problems at the hotel made it worse.

« Shuttle arrangements from hotel to Metro totally inadequate. »

The Metro is inaccessible except by shuttle operated by Best Western. However it is totally unreliable. We were left stranded one evening despite assurances from the staff at the desk that the shuttle was on the way. After an hour, we paid for a cab. Another night we waited for half an hour for a second trip. Use another hotel!

« Great weekend in Falls Church. »

Met up with a few of my old military buddies there. The hotel was clean and the food in the adjoining restaurant was great. The rooms were spacious, the staff was very accommodating. The hotel is about 15 minutes to the National Cemetery and then you're right in the middle of DC. I plan to stay here every year that we meet up.

    « Veterans Reunion. »

This place is a pro Veteran establishment. Thank you for that! Another year and more great times in a great hotel. My room was extremely clean and very comfortable. Ordered from the restaurant and had great food. Hamburger and fries, good food. Staff is always more than accommodating. I will be back again.

    « Namastay! »

I spent five completely restful nights at what I considered to be a very well-maintained hotel. The building is a little older but the price and amenities more than make up for the extremely minor issues that ALL older buildings tend to harbor. An excellent and professional staff seemed absolutely committed to insuring that my stay at the Best Western, Falls Church Inn was a pleasant one ... and they were quite successful. The rooms were clean and my shower had excellent water pressure and control features. The breakfast buffet was superb. The selection was generous and the food was excellent. Sausage and eggs and waffles were plentiful. If you want to be close to the monuments and museums of D.C. but would like to have some money left over to spend ... THIS IS YOUR PLACE!

    « Reunion »

The room was great plus the room service was great, love the hotel and everyone was so nice and friendly, plus the hotel has a bar and restaurant downstairs great bartenders and drinks plus the food was good too, we would definitely stay here again

    « Mouse! »

PJust saw a mouse in our room! Gross! I told them at the front desk about the mouse! and they said, "Sorry". Really!!!! I guess they aren't going to do anything about it. The place is pretty run down and old. Not very clean.

« Great Atomsphere Great Place to Stay! »

I felt the staff was very nice and polite and helpful at all times. I would recommend this place to stay and is very family friendly. The food in the restaurant was very good and the staff did a great job and were very nice and friendly in the restaurant.

« Best Western Falls Church »

The staff was very cheerful, rooms were clean and very quite. The breakfast each morning was open before the house and was hot the entire time. Had coffee in lobby all day and night loved that. It was a great place to stay will I was in the DC area

    « Beyond expectations!! »

Without a doubt this property will be mine and my families go to place when up north. The staff, every last one of them, were extremely polite, helpful and professional, the owner himself made it a point to genuinely greet individuals and make them feel at home. The on properry restaraunt also far exceeded our expectations...good service and great food!!! On this rare occasion I feel as if my dollar stretched further and gave in return much more then I paid for. Thank you for your grand hospitality folks.

    « Excellent stay! »

I travel a lot around this great nation staying at a wide range of lodging locations. I admit I seldom stay at chain hotels because of the impersonal treatment I have experienced at many of them. This Best Western is head and shoulders above so many. Checking in was easy, the room much better than I expected. The entire staff from the maintenance man to the owner were friendly and gave great attention to all parts of my stay. Food at the restaurant was well prepared and quickly brought to my table.

« Good budget place to stay near Washington DC »

Rooms spacious, clean, big and comfortable beds, breakfasts from poor to average - depending on a day. Helpful staff. Hotel needs refreshing. It offers limited shuttle service to Falls Church metro station which is a great asset as there is only one public bus form hotel to Ballston metro and it takes half an hour to get there.

« B/W Falls Church Inn not ADA »

This is a charming brick building, with outdoor pool. It's September at 79 degrees and the pool is CLOSED. We chose this location for the brand. This hotel is NOT ADA Compliant. Curbs from parking lot not ADA. Access to hallways and rooms have at least a 4" lip. Lists free shuttle to METRO, this is LIMITED we came on the metro at 1PM and no shuttle till 5PM. 2A bus from metro leaves you a mile and a half walk away.

    « Trip to Washington D.C. »

Although this hotel is in Arlington they have transportation to the Metro. (the only way to get around D.C.). From Dulles Airport take the 5A bus to the Wiehle-Renton East Station and take the subway to the East Falls Church Station. The hotel has pickup service on a limited schedule. The service was great, the breakfast was well laid out and we found the restaurant to be reasonably priced the good portions on the food. Staff is very friendly and helpful..

« Old and worn. Dark and depressing. »

While a good location, the experience was very disappointing. Pros: good size king room on ground floor. Bed was comfortable. Employees mostly friendly and helpful. The bath was small but had a very good shower head, plus separated sinks. The shuttle was good but limited hours . Our trip on the Metro to DC required paying for a cab since we returned before 5pm. Cab fare was $8. + tip from Metro station. Alexandria is only eight miles but constant traffic patterns makes it a minimum half hour trip. Cons: the carpet is very dark and old, circa 1950s indoor-outdoor. The walls need painting, obvious signs of dirt and wear. Same for furniture. Obvious signs of wear left visible, could easily be restained or painted. The window AC is loud and inefficient. But without, the room has no circulation, the air is dank and damp. When we arrived, there was exactly one towel. The cleaning crew the next day took the dirty towels but did not replace and did the same the next. Had to ask for towels each time. The first and second day, obvious dirt on bathroom floor was missed. The second day, the towel rack broke off. The free breakfast was abysmal. The coffee was horrendous. The eating area doubled as a restaurant-bar. While well lit, appeared unwelcoming and the tables needed cleaning. I chose this BW because I recently joined the points program and the previous stay in Napa, CA was good. The price was reasonable for the area but clearly not worth it overall.

    « Very friendly service! »

This is a nice place to stay. It could use a little TLC in the rooms. The room we had was clean. Cleaning staff did a good job everyday cleaning. Overall I would stay here again. The staff at the front desk were very helpful. Had a good free breakfast in the morning.
