Best Western Greentree Inn was quiet and clean--no bugs of any kind any where. Located close to the University of Oregon. The only thing I would criticize was that one person was expected to man the reception desk at both Best Westerns.
Friendly and warm reception and very comfortable, clean facility. We were given good recommendations for dining and directions to our destinations. We will definitely be back. This Best Western is also a good bargain to boot!
We arrived at the hotel to a welcoming desk clerk. Sign in process was very efficieng. We had forgotten toothpaste and she gave us several toothbrushes that had toothpaste on them in a a wrapper. Saved the night and morning. Our room was modern, clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent - cheese omelets, sausage, bacon, potatoes, cereals, eggs, bagels, yogurt, pastries, juices, coffee and tea and a pancake maker! Most hotel breakfasts are moderate to awful but this was a great breakfast, and if you are staying at this hotel don't walk down the street to find a breakfast place - stay here! I really have to give a shout out to the breakfast room staff. Everything was clean, and if a spill occurred, they immediately cleaned it up. The food dishes were replenished often so there was always what you wanted hot and fresh food. There is a pool that was filled with kids playing and splashing, so even though we were hot and a pool would have been a delight to get in, we opted not to because it was wall to wall kids. Fortunately, our desk clerk gave us a room far away from the pool so we were not distracted at ll by the noise. I expect she realized an older couple would not like to be by the pool so we believe that was very thoughtful of her. We will definitely stay here again. My computer would not allow me to rate the services below on service, sleep quality and rooms and I would rate all the highest rating
This hotel is located about 1/2 mile from the start of the Eugene marathon so location is excellent. Service was fast and room was nice. Hotel was very accommodating to runners and opened breakfast early on the day of the race (5am). Great breakfast options including oatmeal and pancakes. Would recommend and stay here again.
We needed a place to stay for the night and we like the BW brand hotels. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Breakfast was good but not hot. Could have used a microwave. Wished coffee served was not in another room.
Have stayed at this hotel twice and have very happy both times. The rooms are always clean and the staff are always cheerful and nothing is too much trouble for them. It's easy on and off the highway and there are restaurants and coffee shops close by. Will definitely stay here again
the staff was so friendly and helpful when trying to find things to do around the area. The room facing the river was so great! The bed was so comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Eugene.

Hi Peggie- Thank you so much for your kind words regarding our property and staff! I am glad to read that you enjoyed your stay! Although your review was positive it appears you gave us the lowest rating possible- if this was an error would you please consider editing or re-submitting your review? Thank you! We hope to see you again on your next trip to Eugene!
Our stay with the Best Western Greentree was pleasant and well priced for all of the great amenities. The checkin and checkout process was very efficient and the representative was extremely helpful and genuinely nice.
This is the best place to stay in Eugene! A few minutes walk gets you to downtown, Knight arena, Autzen Stadium, etc. Ciara at the front desk made it nice and easy to book a room last minute. I will definitely stay here again
Nice and Easy check-in. They had the roll-away that we asked for. Room was clean and quiet. The coffee maker could be a tad bigger, its a single use style. A 2 person one would be better. Biggest Praise hands goes to the breakfast. Scrambled eggs, pre-made omelettes, potatoes, and sausage, pancake machine, gravy with biscuits, along with all the other typical breakfast things. Best way to start the day.
The hotel was nice, clean and staff were friendly. The issue is at check in - Being Canadian I used by Debit/Visa which did not have my name on it for security purposes. This caused an embarrassing issue when checking in. It was resolved, but something to remember
Just one issue only. Neighboring Best Western only 1 block away has an indoor pool and was the one I wanted. Confusing me at booking, they're way too close. Will have to pay close attention next time. We stay at Best Westerns all the time. Never saw 2 dang near next door to each other.
I was in Eugene for a work-related trip. This hotel has friendly customer service, room was clean and comfortable, and my queen sized bed was really great. I had very restful sleep on it, which is exactly what I needed after a long day of work. I would stay here again if I come back to the area.
Very comfortable accommodation. Large well appointed rooms with a very comfortable bed. Very clean and well maintained. The hot breakfast was probably the best we have had at a BW hotel. The omelettes were filled with cheese and were delicious. Location was perfect if you are attending an event at the University of Oregon.
I arrived later than most people do, staff was delightful, helpful. My room was everything I needed and more. The dining area was inviting although I didn't stay for breakfast. I love glass glasses and real coffee cups in the room. I accidentally locked myself outside ( in my pj s!) when running to the car for that one thing I couldn't t do without. Night staff raced a new card to me and stayed to assure new card would work . My phone case is not where to keep my room keycard.
rain caused a large issie with my stay. somehow the rain gutter is missing a piece or broken and the water from the gutter falls onto the ac unit that is on the patio. glass patio door does not block the noise.
priced right great staff and Good Breakfast for the price.would recommend to any one traveling to that area. It's right across the street form the college. Also easy access from interstate 5. Would stay there again.
Rate is good for a downtown location near UO. Staff is always helpful and room was comfortable.Staff has always gone out of its way to be helpful and this trip helped me with a garlic intolerance issue at breakfast. It made out trip work out great.
This hotel is literally across the street from the Matthew Knight Arena, which was convenient. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff went out of their way to help me out, and the breakfast was even pretty good!
Great stay . We came down for the Oregon ducks game. We had a blast . The staff was very nice. The breakfast could have been better , but we are just spoiled since we are use to the best western in hood River or ! Still had a great trip !
We had a room in the back section of the hotel, creek view. Although there was a game going on across the street at U of O Knight arena we were not bother by noise at all. Felt secluded and was quiet, a nice surprise for being in town. Walked over to Track Town pizza (tops in the pizza world to me, so good). Very pleasant stay all around. Clean, quiet room.
We stayed on our way from Livermore, CA to Oak Harbor, WA from a visit with a sick friend. We were very tired and hungry! The lady at the front desk was extremely helpful in recommending a place to eat dinner that was close. The room was very clean, comfortable bed and quiet. We will definitely stay here again if the need arises.
We had a ground floor room with a dog. Lovely accommodations, (2 queen beds, non smoking room in excellent condition) friendly staff, and a nice in house breakfast. There was an area for pets to use to eliminate waste products.
I've stayed here twice in the past. Decided to stay here again 11/12/17 on our November roadtrip down to Southern California. Office staff was very friendly, and check in was quick and easy. The room was a “King waterview room” with a balcony overlooking a small waterway (creek) that follows along part of the extended campus of the University of Oregon. Many ducks floating in the water, and even got to see a huge Heron pearched on a branch above the water. The room was a nice big room, with a sitting area with nice cushy armchairs. Included a microwave and small fridge. The bed was VERY comfortable with a plush mattress top. It was VERY quiet, couldn't hear ANYONE else in the adjacent rooms. Slept sound all night. There was a sink with a long countertop inside the bathroom, and another sink and almost as long countertop outside of the bathroom. LOTS of room for toiletries and such. Taking a very long shower in the morning: the showerhead appeared to be a VERY new “WaterPik” showerhead with a couple different massage settings. Water stayed hot the entire time, and water pressure was awesome. One of the first things we did after arriving was taking a nice soak in the hot tub (located in a room off to the side of the outdoor pool). The water was nice and hot, but not too hot – we were able to soak for about 25 minutes with no problems. The room being about 1/3 surrounded by glass windows – and the weather outside kind of chilly – the entire hot tub room was filled with a steamy haze like being in a steam room. Very nice! They serve a morning breakfast including cheese-filled omlettes, chunky potatoes with herbs, bacon, biscuits with sausage gravy, and various cold cereals. Better than your average motel breakfast. Only complaint – need to bump up the ‘keeping heat' on the warmed foods. Decently priced at $107. for the night, I would definitely stay here again.
Very clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Breakfast included a good selection (eggs, sausage, pancakes, etc.); could have been a little higher quality, but was filling and satisfactory.
We were in room 218 which is at the far end of the buildings and on the 2nd floor. This is a very good location as it is as far away from Franklin Blvd as you can get. 2nd floor was also good as cars coming down to the end of the parking lot end up turning around as parking is somewhat limited and head lights are pointed directly at the 1st floor units. Room was fine, fairly spacious and in good condition. Breakfast was better than expected but the office is as far away from the room as you could get and rather small. We would stay there again.
We would recommend this Hotel for those looking for a Good deal and a Warm place to eat and stay. Friendly staff, clean rooms and Restaurants near by as well as a multiple of other stores like Wal-Mart just in case you forgot to bring something on your trip.
Obviously an older motel that has been updated - clean, bed was very comfortable, across the street from the University of Oregon. As others have noted, the lack of an elevator could be an issue. Pet friendly, so if you have a pet that is fine but if you have allergies make sure you ask for a pet-free room. It is a bit off the interstate, so not the place to stay if you want/need quick access that way. Great hot breakfast, with three kinds of eggs, two meats, pancakes, and the usual cereals and yogurts. Outdoor pool. Fitness center.
Had a perfectly fine experience. Would stay here again. Staff was friendly. They allow pets. Location couldn't be beat as its right across the street to the Matthew Knight arena. There are also a couple of restaurant pubs within walking distance.
Clean bright rooms and great front desk staff! This hotel is right across from the Ducks Stadium! Has a pool and hot tub and is 2 doors down from a great little sports bar. The rooms have a peculiar shape, but are very spacious and comfortable. And quiet too. When in Eugene, this will be my pick!
I had a king room that is a bit dated but clean, large, and comfortable. Parking was adequate but the vending machine and ice machine were outside which I didn't locate until I was leaving. The rooms are a garden-style arrangement with no elevator. Really in 2017? Must have missed it in the description. Will not stay again.
Such a great place to stay. Beds were comfortable and staff is so kind and helpful. We enjoyed the buffet style breakfast each morning, a great addition to the experience! I would highly recommend this Best Western
My wife and I found the Best Western Greentree Inn to by a very nice hotel. The staff was very cordial and friendly. We would definitely stay at this hotel should we ever return to Eugene. Good location!
We often stay in the area, but this was our first experience with this property. The room was quiet and comfortably away from the busy, yet convenient main thoroughfare. Breakfast was tasty with sufficient choices to satisfy our party. We'll be back.
Great hotel/motel when visiting University of Oregon. Friendly, helpful staff. Easy walking distance to UO. Morning breakfast and coffee to go available. Workout room could be enlarged with more equipment. Only enough room for two people to workout comfortably. Overall nice place to stay when in Eugene.
Stayed here for the football game against Nebraska and that game tripled the room prices! Still, location was very convenient to walk to Autzen Stadium and right across the street from the Matthew Knight arena. Also within walking distance is Market of Choice (market), Hiron's (store with lots of knick knacks, gift items) and Wild Duck Cafe. Our 2nd floor room (no elevators) was spacious and I like that the bathroom is separated by a wall so you can't see the bathroom light from the bed. However, we could hear the A/C cycling on and off. The loud A/C is the only reason I didn't give this hotel 5 stars. The placement of the TV was also a little odd. It is to the right of the bed, so you can't lay in bed and look straight on to the TV. Jennifer at the front desk was so friendly and helpful! I also liked that they offer cut fruit and whole fruit (apples, bananas, oranges). Would recommend staying here if you are not a light sleeper like me.
We just spent one night here. Its on the main drag leading into town opposite the Uni of Oregon. Sports is obviously a big thing in the town. Greentree Inn is a typical motel; two storey, no elevator. Clean spacious room. Friendly staff. Good breakfast selection. Next door to Sam's diner.
Enjoyed our stay at BW Greentree in Eugene. Across the street from the University of Oregon. Breakfast included, omlettes, sausage, yogurt, toast, coffee, cereals etc. Hot tub open late. Super nice staff
Our checkin was pleasant, the room was clean and spacious, bed was comfortable, the breakfast was excellent and the town was pleasant. Great experience! Breakfast included eggs, sausage, potatoes, yogurt and more
location is suitable for our current needs . They cater to a lot of UO families who are dropping off or visiting their student and it would be nice if they offered a UO discount for family and students.
We stayed here for 2 nights as we were in town for a U of O football game. The proximity of this hotel to the stadium as well as the rest of campus is great. We were able to easily walk everywhere. To go 'downtown' Eugene is a longer walk, or, a short car ride from this spot as well. The hotel itself is slightly older, but I heard they have planned updates happening soon which would be nice. The balconies are nice, however, there aren't any chairs to sit on out there which I found a little odd. We did utilize the pool & hot tub. It was pretty standard, but was nice to take a refreshing dip after a long day. The breakfast was good as well, decent variety of hot options as well as the standard continental menu. We never had an issue with parking although the hotel was sold out. I've seen that it is sometimes an issue, but there were always plenty of spaces every time we went in & out. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again in the future if we returned to be close to the stadium & campus.
We booked 2 nights through booking.com for $163 and $212 (US dollars). To our surprise we got charged for $183 (less a discount of $40 because of a broken light switch) and $279 instead. Asked the front desk about this and was told that the regular prices have kicked in because both bookings have been cancelled. We never cancel the reservations! All we did was asking the front desk (upon check-in) whether it's possible for us to stay in the same room for 2 nights. They said okay but never told us that such request would affect the prices. We asked for a refund to no avail. It's not worth our time to pursue this further but it did leave a bad taste in our mouths. We booked 2 other hotels for this trip and both of them honoured their booking.com prices.
I have become very fond of Best Westerns. As a kid we stayed in them all the time. I am a corporate traveler as well and while Best Western is not one of our list of hotels - I think it should be. The service at this location is wonderful. The staff actually act like they care - because I think they do! The rooms were very clean, well appointed and all around great - especially for the money. The hot breakfast is a bonus. The only thing to watch out for is that there is no elevator. If you are on the 3rd floor you will need to be able to carry your bag. The back of the hotel is very nice and is located along a nice creek with trees. Really great experience.
This seems to be an older style hotel and it is maintained reasonably well. Some aspects are a bit tired. It is a great location for U of O events and is easy to get to. It is a good property for families with a nice pool area and work out room. The breakfast was quite adequate.
Shower drain not working well and then started backing up "gunk." Reported problem to front desk but no one responded. Ask for a first floor room if you have a problem with stairs. Otherwise, it was average place to stay.
It is a chain hotel that can provide a clean, convenient place to sleep if you en route somewhere. Not good if you are looking for a memorable experience. The breakfast is basically inedible but there are college coffee-shops nearby.
if you need a hotel in Eugene, this is the one I will recommend: A very quiet and convenient location, a high quality home-made breakfast, a friendly helpful stuff and good quality bed with a reasonable price
I have stayed in this location several times, mostly rated to U of O events. The location is ideal ( across the street from the Matt and a short walk to Autzen), the rooms are nice, and the staff are consistently professional and helpful.
We had a one night stay here. Pros: Breakfast was great. They had sausages and gravy for breakfast. Bed sheets were crisp and clean Bed was comfortable Front desk was nice Priced lower compared to other best westerns Cons: Parking is limited. Breakfast area is small No elevators but we needed to use the stairs anyway Would stay again
Directly across the street from U of O and the building where our campus tour was located. Also directly across the street from university arena. Plenty of eateries close by and within walking distance. The breakfast is perfect and substantial.
We didn't pre-book this BW which we normally do as we only stayed one night instead of two at our previous BW (that's for another review). The hotel exceeded our expectation, we could not fault our overnight stay in anyway and the price of the room was excellent. Yes the vehicle parking is tight but not impossible we found a space almost right outside our room. We are UK Rewards BW Diamond Select members and have used mostly BW's on our USA 54 day road trip, Greentree Inn rates highly on our list for comfort and value for money.
I was traveling with my 3 young children, and we decided we needed a rest in our extra long journey. After securing a great rate for a last minute booking, we arrived at nearly 10 o clock at night. The desk attendant was friendly, quick, and helpful. I grabbed my keys, and was off to find our room. There were 8-10 parking spots available, which would have been amazing had any of them NOT been blocked by someone double parking. So here I am, 10 o clock, 3 small kids out of their minds, and no parking anywhere near our room. I returned to the desk and asked if he had any secret clues or tricks about parking, as there weren't any spots available. I explained the double parking situation, and he apologized for the inconvenience. He moved us to a room that was closer to the available parking, and we were in our room in 2 minutes. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone!
We were here for a quick overnight stay. I would've liked to stay a little longer to be honest. The location was perfect and directly across from the University of Oregon. We have a family of 5 so we reserved a 2 queen suite which accommodated us perfectly. We were pleasantly surprised to see it was a 2 story "room". The entry leads to a living room with a pull out sofa bed that my daughter said was comfortable. There is a full bathroom downstairs. The upstairs has a bedroom with a full size closet with 2 queen beds. There is a door to allow for privacy. Just outside the bedroom in the open area upstairs is a third queen bed. Another full sized bathroom is upstairs as well. A very comfortable and spacious stay. We loved the pool and wish we could've been there longer. It was the perfect temperature. The breakfast options were nice which included hot items such as eggs, potatoes and meat. My only reasons for not giving it a 5 out of 5, was due to the morning front desk person being rude. My husband asked for a clean ice bucket and she seemed irritated by the question and told him he could've just used the plastic bag that was provided. Yes, we will use the plastic bag, but with a clean ice bucket please. We will still use this location again in the future if we need to.
Motel was comfortable and breakfast was good. bed good, shower good, clean staff adequate but not wonderful. keycards failed 5 days into stay and it was a pain in the neck to get to room then have to trudge back to office. parking not great and many spaces were too small when place was full.stayed 6 nights so experienced all the goods and bads. Another BW was 1 block away and I was told it had better parking and was comparably priced.
I was stranded at the airport and when I called the hotel I was redirected to a prepaid service and later discovered they charged me $50 more then if I had just drove to the hotel and stopped in. When I talked to the front desk they could have cared less. On stayed at another hotel on the my return trip and will avoid this one when I go back.
Free breakfast and internet, nice rooms, small balcony even. This a good price for a nice hotel room. Nothing fancy, but not low budget in any way. Great for families for the amenities and free breakfast choices!
The check in took a long time because the front desk lady was on the phone. She saw me came in, just kept talking on the phone... In the morning of check out, I called if it's possible to do late departure, I was told they can't do it. (The first hotel ever late check out was not allowed) Another problem was on the website, it says laundry facility is abailable. But there's no laundry room on this site, you have to walk to a block or two to go to another best western hotel! Be able to do laundry was so important durning our stay because we were there for baseball tournament! Durning check out, we had same issue - there's only 1 front desk agent and she just kept answering the phone 1 after another even couple of their customers waiting to check out. She didn't even ask us "how was your stay?" She just asked "what's your room number?" And printed out the bill and handed to me without saying thank you for your stay. I understand it was busy but customer service shouldn't be like this... very disappointed stay here...
Private decks overlooking greenery and a river/stream are the best rooms in the hotel! Shade all day and total privacy. But bring your own lawn chairs as the hotel doesn't provide them for the decks. The bed was super comfortable and the room was very clean. The air conditioning worked great and we could control all settings to adjust to our comfort level.
Our stay here was too short but the accommodation was excellent. Quiet, comfortable, relaxing.\\ Staff was helpful and cheery. Great beds and pillows as always and a good hot breakfast. What more could you want.
Excellent place to stay and the breakfast is one of the best! The staff is extremely helpful and efficient. We would definitely stay here again. There is a pool and a hot tub as well as a fitness center for those so inclined.
This place was so dirty. The room smelled of mildew and the countertops in the bath room were filthy gross. Hair on the bath floor and in the sink. Parking is super tight and not much of it. The bed was comfortable though but thats about it. I would not recommend this hotel. Its old with an updated smelly twist.
We went up for one night, and our stay was pleasant; room quite comfortable. The young gentleman at the front desk was friendly and helpful. He welcomed us with a bright smile and gave us directions to the local market for dessert!
Pros: I think you get a little better quality of products & serices at this place than other similarly priced motels around the area. It is right across the street from University of Oregon and close to everything. Friendly staffs. Good breakfast. Cons: The building is kind of old. Some rooms have bad mattress. No elevators. If you have a lot of luggage, it can be challenging. Parking slots are too tight for mid-size or larger SUVs & vans. The rooms with waterview on North side of the property get a little train noise at night.
We love best western because the price of the hotel plus the complementary hot breakfast. The woman at the front desk was very welcoming and wished me a happy birthday. The rooms were clean including the bed linens which is my biggest worry when I travel. The rooms could be updated, they appeared dark looking. Nice place to stay for 1 night on the
We were looking for a stop to rest, have a good breakfast and get back on the road. This was exactly what we were looking for. I would suppose it would be a great spot to stay when taking a child to the University of Oregon, or in town for a football game.
Had a good nights rest in a ver spacious and quiet room. Our room overlooked the small creek in the back. We slept well and enjoyed the breakfast. The only negatives I have about the place is the limited parking and the fact they do not have elevators which makes it difficult when you have luggage and are on the 3rd floor.
Easy check-in, convenient to the university, quiet property. Room was comfortable and spacious. Small balcony somewhat spoiled by smokers in the area. Room had coffee station, fridge and microwave. Two bathroom sinks, one outside the actual bathroom which came in handy. Did not get to try the breakfast due to 4:00 am checkout. Was disappointed there was no fresh coffee available- pot was lukewarm at best. Really needed that perk at that time of the morning :(
We are always looking for a great, comfortable place to stay with our 4 kids. This family suite was absolutely perfect for us with 2 floor levels, 2 bathrooms and 3 queen beds, including another sofa bed. Right next to the pool and away from all the other rooms. It was very quiet and private. Probably one of the top 3 places we have ever stayed as a family. Incredible, wish every motel offered a room like this one.
We stayed here for one night when we were attending the Oregon Country Fair. It was clean, comfortable and quiet. The free breakfast buffet was average/typical but still helped us out so we didn't have to go elsewhere to eat before heading to the fair. Wish we'd had time to hit the pool. Beware - parking is limited and the spaces are very narrow so people often take up more than one space. Would stay here again.
This Best Western was very clean, nice large size rooms with a fridge and Microwave. The Breakfast was superb, with a nice variety including scrambled eggs, meat selections, a pancake machine, and various other items. Very nice overall.
This is a very nice place! Indoor pool and Jacuzzi, adults only after 10 pm... Easy check in and check out. We will definitely stay here again when driving through the area! The staff was very pleasant. Good coffee in the lobby, and the room!
Guest rooms as nice as 4-star hotel and the breakfast bar is huge; staff is friendly and a few guest rooms' patios overlook a creek and some trees--great bonus. Mere blocks from freeway at edge of U. of O. campus across from arena and good Chinese food.
Great place to stay! Quiet location for the rear building rooms with privacy. Rooms were very clean and comfortable for an older motel. Wonderful breakfast with great variety of hot foods. Caring and friendly staff. Pool was closed temporarily due to families who apparently allowed their children to trash the pool. Great hot tub! Work out room. Close to the university and we enjoyed the walking/biking trail and the pedestrian bridges across the Willamette River. Great leisurely walk to unwind after being on the road all day. Restaurants and a grocery store close by within walking distance. This will be our choice to stay in Eugene for all our future trips that route.
One of the better Best Westerns, particularly for friendly and attentive service. Rooms were clean and air conditioned, breakfast was fresh and hot. Parking is a little tight and awkward -- but plenty of it, if you're prepared to walk.
We were on the second floor and the stairwell to our room was filthy. We complained but nothing changed. Worse than that, we returned to our room to find the door was open and no staff person was in sight. Anyone could have walked in! The garbage bag had been replaced but then the full one was left on the desk.
Our room was described as an "efficiency suite". Okay, we know that "efficiency" is jargon for "small". But this wasn't really a small suite, because it wasn't really a suite, it was just an extra-large room. There is nothing wrong with an extra-large room! We liked the room for what it was, but it should have been described realistically. Although it was a nice room, the building seemed to be poorly constructed. I've been in cheap hotels before where I could hear footsteps from the person upstairs. But this was beyond anything I had experienced before. In addition to the loud sound of footsteps, the floorboards (ceiling boards from our point of view) would squeak, creak, and occasionally pop, and were astonishingly loud. It sounded like the whole thing was in danger of collapsing. Of course, the person upstairs would get up early in the morning and wake us up with all that dreadful noise. The noise of the plumbing was also problematic. Every time the person upstairs flushed the toilet, used the sink, or took a shower, we could hear it all, as loudly as if it were right in our room. Of course, through the thin walls we could also hear other people's TVs, conversations, and phone calls. There is also a railroad track nearby, with freight trains running through during the night. Most of this (except for the ceiling noise, which was hopeless) could have been alleviated by running the fan for white noise. But the AC unit in this room did not have a constant fan setting, so we couldn't do that. The fan just turned on and off automatically all night. A smaller thing was that we stayed in our room until about 11:00 am. When we opened the door we found a note from housekeeping saying that because of our do not disturb sign we didn't get housekeeping services, but could request towels from the front desk. I've known this to happen, but typically only when you stay in the room all day. At other hotels, the note will appear around 3 or 4 pm. 11:00 seems a little soon to give up. Be aware - This is a 3-story building with no elevator.
The room was very clean.,with a Great bed, the wifi was good. The hotel's location is very good if you need to be at the U of Oregon. The value here was very good, when in Eugene again I will stay here.
This hotel is located right across the street from University of Oregon. They have a friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast is decent for this type of hotel. The room is clean but kind of outdated. I had trouble with the key card. Hope they fix that soon. Otherwise, it was a good stay.
We were dismayed at the cigarette smell in the room and halls although they currently have a rule against smoking. The curtain fell down in my hand. The room was dark and stinky. There is no elevator so suitcases have to be carried up stairs. The parking spaces were cramped and tight. The check-in lady was perfectly lovely and probably the best thing about the place.
Stayed there on a busy day at the university and the price was inflated. I would stay at a property farther away when there are events at the university. That is why I rated the value as fair. Good place if you are attending events there.
With the Knight Center across the street, Hayward Field a short walk and a pleasant walk to the football stadium this is a great place to stay for UO sports events. If you like to run/walk you are real close to Pre's Trial Clean and quiet the BW Greentree is a great place to stay. Free breakfast, free wireless (speed is greatly improved from a few years ago) can't beat this place Also love that each room has a small balcony
Great staff, clean, decent food. I would definitely stay here again if I was in Eugene. This hotel is literally right across the street from U of O, near food places, right down the street from Market of Choice.
This worked out great for us. It was clean and convenient. Directly across from the arena and the campus. We were there for Track & Field PAC 12 Championship. It was in walking distance to Hayward Field (track stadium) Would recommend and would for sure stay again if in the area.
Excellent value for cost especially with inclusion of hot breakfast daily and local newspaper. Ample free parking and free internet. Hotel has a nice swimming pool and fitness center. Excellent mattresses. Book a room with water view for a green wooded view from the room and balcony. Very friendly and helpful staff.
We were up graded to a creekside room. The staff was very nice and accommodating. Very quiet and relaxing room. They had a good breakfast and we could bring it back to our room to enjoy. We plan to stay here on all of our trips north now.
Heading north from the Sacramento area I had two issue arise. First was a head on collision on the Interstate which put me about an hour or more from my arrival time in Eugene. Next was a flat tire in the evening, about an hour from Eugene. I did not arrive until around 10pm, dead tired from the drive and stress from the incidents. I was checked in quickly. Problem was my room was on the second floor. I had to haul all my gear up the stairs, (no elevator). Luckily my room was at the top of the stairs and I parked at the bottom of the stairs so it really was not so bad. My room was a huge surprise. It was a very large room and even had a little balcony. Made me wish I had more time to relax but I only had the room for one night and needed to get home to the Seattle area. Oh yeah, the price was a surprise too. The room, out the door was $67.50 and included breakfast. The breakfast was very good. Would stay again if the need arises.
The motel was OK - the room was clean - there were no little bottles of shampoo or lotion in the room - this was a first for me at BW. The staff were very nice - the housekeeping staff were very nice as well.
Jennifer at the Best Western Greentree Inn is fantastic! (there are two Best Westerns right near each other in Eugene) The room was clean clean clean, and safe safe safe! Don't forget to eat at Sams a couple of doors down - the food is great and the prices are great too... and they will give you a discount if you mention you stayed at Best Western! Visit Hendricks Park - it's amazing!
Stayed 3 nights and would stay again. The large 2nd floor room was reasonably clean and well maintained and had a little balcony. The bed was comfortable. TV, microwave, refrigerator, and heating were in working order. WiFi worked okay. The bathroom was rather tiny, but there was a separate vanity area outside of the bathroom. Bathroom area lighting could have been a little brighter. Shower curtain had an off-smell, but it was replaced promptly on request. We did not experience any noise problems. The breakfast room was small, but there was a large variety of breakfast items (both hot & cold), which were kept well stocked and were okay for a chain hotel breakfast. The staff (desk clerks, breakfast room attendants) were very friendly & helpful. The hotel has a pool, hot tub, and exercise room, but we did not use them. For the price (less than $90/per night), this was a good place to stay.
Becca at the front desk was helpful in letting me check in early and I was able to use the internet and find the business which I had to contact. Then gave me a map and showed me where to go in the city
Stayed here for two nights on a recent business trip to Eugene. Booked a room with a water view, which basically overlooks a small creek at the back of the property. The room was a decent size, on the second floor of a three floor building. No elevator. The rooms have a very small triangular-shaped balcony at the rear, enough to step out on, but no chairs or anything. Due to its shape, the thru-wall heat/AC unit from the room next door sticks into your balcony, so whenever it comes on, you hear it on your balcony. Worse yet, yours sticks out on the balcony next door, so what goes on on that balcony filters straight into your room. The guy in the room next door came out and was talking loudly on his cell phone - why is everyone LOUD on cell phones - and I literally heard his entire conversation in our room. You also hear noise from the corridors outside, and from people walking around in the room above. The room was clean. Two queen beds, micro, small fridge that froze everything we put in it. Beds were very soft. Bathroom was basic, the door stuck, it looked like it had been painted about 15 times. Shampoo but no conditioner. Coffee pot with regular coffee but no decaf. Everything looked a little tired and worn around the edges. Small breakfast room with a continental breakfast, including scrambled eggs, potatoes, and sausages. They have an automatic pancake machine that's fun but the pancakes aren't very good. The woman working the breakfast area was super friendly, and really trying hard to keep everything clean and stocked. Location is great for UofO, and convenient to restaurants and downtown. All the staff we dealt with were really friendly. Our rate with AAA discount was under $80 per night, including breakfast for two, so it's really a bargain. It's a place I can recommend for people on a budget, with friendly service and a clean room, but don't expect super luxury.
This hotel was pretty great! The staff was friendly and the room was clean. There was a decent amount of options for breakfast including biscuits and gravy, potatoes, and fruit. Best Westerns rarely disappoint!
The location was great and just a short walk to the Riverfront Trail along the Willamette River. Pleasant, helpful staff and a comfortable room made this hotel s great option for us.. The internet worked well. We would stay again!
The hotel is very nice. It is in a great location. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the river, very quiet and peaceful. It is across fro U of O so close to downtown but really very centrally located.
They are the "Denny's" of Hotels - you can always expect a good nights sleep in a good room for a good price. Also being a Rewards Member, I get free upgrades & I signed up for the $10 gift card...all-in-all, it was a win-win stay!
We've stayed here a number of times in past years. This spring--twice. Overall, the room is large, comfortable, and well-equipped. There are a little frig, microwave, coffee-maker. Two easy chairs with a lamp & table in between, a desk & chair. Comfortable king bed & lots of pillows. It's relatively quiet in the back away from the busy street. There's an effective heater for cool nights and a slider if it's too warm. They allow dogs. The breakfast has been improved since we were last here--hot items as well as continental. There was an attentive staff person in the breakfast area. Desk staff are pleasant and courteous.
No issues with my stay here at all. We were coming in from Corvallis and we arrived early in the morning, and they had a room ready for us - I was thrilled. Hotel is right across the street from UofO campus, so walking around is not an issue. Breakfast was decent - loved the pancake machine!
Stayed here after out 14 hour drive from the south, so appreciated the late check-in (10pm), and late hot tub hours! Pretty decent continental brekky, providing cereal, pancakes, muffins, coffee. Room was okay, nothing special. Bathroom is very tiny! Free wifi. Friendly staff. Right across from the University of Oregon, a nice area to walk around from the hotel.
We ended up going on a last minute vacation and stayed here, It was a very nice stay. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was clean. We also received a free upgrade that was awesome! We've stayed her twice nice!
We stopped by our usual first choice pet friendly hotel, were quoted a $75 pet deposit plus a room rate twice what was shown on line. Never mind! 2 miles up the road, we found this hotel. Great price, perfectly appointed for road weary travellers. Front desk fellow was great
We selected the wrong phone number while traveling and booked a night in the wrong town. By the time we discovered our error, it was very late and we had to pay a small premium. The facilities were clean and the staff was helpful and understanding. The only problem was that rain collected under our car and I got my feet wet loading the next morning.
The Best Western Greentree Inn was a very positive experience on the last night on the road for vacation. We arrived in Eugene at one in the afternoon for a four pm check in. The front desk clerk graciously found us a clean room so we could unload the car and take my wife shopping at the mall which she greatly appreciated. The room was very quiet and the bed was extremely comfortable. We were both happy campers!
This motel is right across the street from the U of O and the basketball arena. It is also convenient to many places in Eugene. This is our second visit. The motel does not have an elevator, but there are rooms on the ground floor if this is an issue. The breakfast at this Best Western is very good. It may sound strange, but we like oatmeal and this was scratch made oatmeal (NOT microwave stuff) that was excellent--hard to find in any motel. The eggs and sausages were also good. This is one of the few BW breakfasts that we like. The rooms are very nice--we like the ones by the Mill Race--quiet
Convenient to the university and a good pizza place, this hotel has what you need at a good price. Rooms are clean and the bed is comfortable. I also enjoyed being able to use the walking trails by the river.
Everything was wonderful at the hotel and I highly recommend it. From the clean rooms, to just the right amount of amenities, to an outstanding continental breakfast to the great Staff. You will enjoy your stay at Greentree Best Western.
On our way to Sacramento, and decided to stop here on the first night. We were both exhausted after only getting 5 hours' sleep in the last 36, so I asked the desk clerk, Becca for the quietest room in the place. Boy did she come through! The only thing we heard were the frogs in the river when we had the door open. Thank you, Becca!! Now, on to the room: Basically, the room was as good as we could have possibly asked for. It was clean, and smelled clean. Chairs were comfortable, Wi-Fi was great, you get the idea. Slept like logs for 10 hours, and woke up feeling human again. Had a good breakfast, and hit the road. Next time we're in Eugene, this is where we'll be staying.
I stay at the Greentree every year and I like it very much. Cleanliness needs a bit of improvement but I feel safe and cared for. Great Staff!! Plenty of parking but not enough for handicapped. All in all, I recommend this hotel and be sure to ask for Jennifer at the front desk: she's great.
Convenient and economical. Many motel/hotels on Franklin and this Best Western was fine choice. Walking distance to many restaurants and across the street for campus. Rooms clean and some amenities available although I did not use pool, jacuzzi or small gym.
It is right across the street from u of O so I wasn't to sure of the neighborhood but felt very safe at the hotel and staff was very nice. Bed was great. Be sure to ask about the disposable swim suits. I will definetly recommend this to others.
Yep, that's right. Per three calls to the HQ; they don't care. Watch for high rates as the manager will close rooms to Expedia and others and raise the rates. Everyone sent to New Oregon Motel. General manager is unprofessional, will lie to you so get everything in writing regarding price or refunds. Not sure if he is saving rooms for his buddies and making you pay the difference but be they don't care and it shows. So go be a sucker if you don't want them to go above or beyond and you line being manipulated.
A room overlooking the creek is quiet. We stay here often and have never been bothered by other guest noise. Great location for walking on the trail, getting on campus or accessing downtown. Good breakfast buffet. Room was not what I had reserved and they immediately corrected the error
We were traveling from San Fran to Seattle and needed a great place to stop along our way and we picked the city of Eugene, Oregon. This motel was very accommodating and right along our passage along Interstate 5. We would highly recommend this place and the breakfast was free and plentiful.
I booked this hotel the same day we needed the room through Southwest Airlines and it was the right choice. I was traveling with my son and 2yr old grandson who was stuck in a car for 2 hours, when we arrived the lady at the desk was very friendly and quick to check us in. The breakfast was good and had many items to choose from. My Grandson is a yogurt & fruit fan and there was good choices. I would stay here again.
Drove to Eugene from Southern California to move daughter into NCU. Hotel was super close and convenient to everything. Drug store which sold everything you need for the dorm was right there. The actual hotel was dark and a bit old. But clean and friendly staff. Beds were fine. I wanted to sit on balcony after dropping her off but no furniture outside. Inexpensive spot to stay if visiting the university district of Eugene.
We stayed for one night, and wanted to buy an extra half day so we could check out at 3 pm because of a sports event we were participating in. The manager Jen told us that she would sell us an extra half a day but we had to check out at 2 pm. There were only a few guests in the hotel - very very slow as the night manager said. I travel a lot for work. Any other hotel would have just given us the extra check out, but charging for half a day till 2 pm in an empty hotel. Not only were they stingy, but the complete lack of empathy and friendliness in that process lead us to cancel a second reservation that we had made there for later in the week. We won't stay there again.
Staying at the Best Western Greentree was certainly a pleasant experience. Checking in was easy and the staff was very helpful and personable. Our room was spotless and updated and we had a lovely balcony overlooking the creek. Looking out the window, all we could see were trees. So nice. The room was very quiet and my son and I both enjoyed a peaceful sleep. Breakfast was good too...love the biscuits and gravy.
Surprised that I had a veranda and brook with happy geese. Large room. The bed was great. I slept like a top. Everything was close by if you want to go out, Staff was helpful with maps and directions which was great. Got two rooms. Security question when entering my room could be viewed from outside - suggest covering hall windows.
I enjoyed the Green Tree Inn. It was very convenient to the Oregon Arena, Hayward Field, restaurants and campus and bus stop to downtown, very walkable to all. I only paid $21 total (after $100 in gift cards). I had a secluded room on the 2nd floor on the first Tuesday in August. I had trouble at first getting into the room and building because my keys kept flashing red instead of green. After a while the receptionist Casey re-programmed and she/he (sorry but I honestly couldn't tell) said it probably was because I put my key cards in my pocket with my phone and it distorted. Parking was not a problem because I kept the car parked all night. Pool and hot tub were open until midnight and you can see the arena from the pool, and there was no crowd there. It is right next to the Track Town Pizza. If I get to Eugene again I will stay at the Green Tree.
When doing anything in Eugene, this Best Western is across from the Matt Knight Arena and close to downtown. Very easy to get to and to get around. It was also very quiet considering it's on a main street. In the morning (Sunday), I couldn't see a moving vehicle for quite some time.
Had selected this particular hotel for convenience. My wife and I were traveling from the Sacramento, CA area to Seattle, Washington. Eugene, Oregon was decided as a rest point during our drive - wish we had either stopped earlier or traveled further after spending a whole week in this hotel in just over 6 hours! Exterior appearance should have been a "Red Flag" but having made the reservation it was decided that one night couldn't be all that bad. We were wrong! Entering the guest room we immediately noticed a musty odor and found some the the lights were not working. Opening the sliding door to the outside was not an option due to road noise. Avoid this property unless it is your only option!
Clean, comfortable beds. Enjoyed the pool. Friendly staff. Close proximity to U of O and good food. Recommend the Elk Horn Brewery and Sweet Life for desserts. Parking is tight but the lot is well monitored.
There are two negative aspects to note about some of the stuff and about room quality. We tried to check in early since we have a long-term reward membership but the receptionist said the rooms were not ready and to come back at 4 PM but we checked with the cleaning stuff and found that our room was indeed ready long before 4 PM. What we feel as most distasteful is that Jen, the receptionist, dismissed us with a smirk. We stressed we were members that could check in early. The general manager, Adam Nunez, very rudely shut us off and reiterated that our room was not ready (which as just said was not true). Adam was even more arrogant than Jen. We were appalled at such rude behavior. We left and came back after 4 PM. What a way to treat good clients. For the price, the hotel is decent. The room we had had a balcony with a view to a creek. Soon after we were in our room we found that the air conditioning unit of the next door room was on our balcony blowing hot air all the afternoon and all night long! We will never go to this hotel again!
Every staff member that I had conversation with was outstanding from the General Manager to housekeeping. Check-in was very smooth. The hotel is kind of old school (no elevator or luggage carts) but the rooms are great. Balcony overlooking a creek. Right across the street from the University of Oregon.
Our room was on the third floor (2 Queen beds with balcony). PROS: The beds were comfortable, AC worked well, room was quiet, WIFI worked. CONS: No elevators, the third floor hallway was extremely hot (because the security doors at either end had to remain closed because they led directly to outside stairwell), and the breakfast was the most limited of our entire two week trip. We ended up going down the street to McDonald's for breakfast. I would stay again as long as the price was right as the most important thing is the quality and comfort of the room.
So I'll start with the good. Beds extremely comfortable, pillows very nice and room clean. Directly across the street from college. Bad NO ELEVATORS OR ASSISTANCE! If you are traveling with a ton of stuff think twice about this hotel. Second problem great parking if they monitored it. 40% compact, no trailer or uhaul spaces, balance regular spaces, problem regular spaces filled with compact cars, then regular cars taking multiple spaces to fit in compact space. Biggest issue it has that old smell??
We had a James Taylor concert at the Matthew Knight arena. This hotel was almost right across the street! The staff was very courteous and the room was very clean and comfortable. There are 3 floors so just be aware there is no elevator. It wasn't a problem for us.
If you are looking to go to Hayward field or the arena this location can't be beat! Nice staff ,clean rooms, and best location. Breakfast did not have a big selection but what was there was good. Price was high due to the Olympic trials and forced to pay for 10 days other than that very good,
Cons: ° 2nd & 3rd floor rooms have stairs to access (NO elevator!) ° Housekeeping started knocking on door at 8am wanting to clean room when we were still asleep. Pros: ° Good location for UofO across the street. ° Rooms have been updated & remodeled since our last visit a few years back. Comfy bed & chairs in room ° Desk & ergo chair, too. ° Coffee maker & fridge in room. ° Helpful staff
We came across this hotel when we were looking for a place to stop overnight on our long journey from Seattle to Yosemite. Thankfully they had a vacancy. We were allocated a large king size bedroom and had a fridge, microwave and all usual amenities that we neede. It was more than adequate and clean. It was good value and the staff were professional and friendly.
The location is perfect for U of O graduation, could walk to ceremony. The rooms were clean and employees professional and friendly. But, I think it is time for a overhaul on room decor. We didn't spend much time in the room, but found the room a bit small for two queen sized beds. Shower-head had an ample water flow pressure, but needs to be changed to change the actual water spray.
Stayed at this Best Western during extremely busy graduation season. It is a motel, not luxurious but clean and comfortable. It is very convenient to the University of Oregon and waling distance to anything on campus. The staff, however, is excellent. Very helpful, particularly when we had a problem late in the evening with the plumbing, and unfailing cheerful.
Room was very clean and beds were quite comfortable. The hotel is literally across the street from the University. Adequate breakfast included with the room rate. We were on the 3rd floor, so no elevator and we had to carry our luggage up three flights of stairs. Covered parking available.
Nice comfy motel property. Great beds with a quiet back off the road location. Good restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast is a good selection of light food. walking distance of U of O Campus and most of the athletic facilities.
I've stayed here a few times and it is always clean, the staff is wonderful, there is a variety of restaurants within walking distance, and the price is very reasonable. If you are going to an event at Autzen stadium there is a lighted path directly there. It is just across the street from Matthew Knight Arena also. Very convenient location.
A nice hotel to stay at while visiting the university. Clean and met all my needs. It was easy to get out and about from this location. There were many choices of restaurants and activities in the area.
If you are visiting someone in the UofO dorms, this is a great location. There are also several restaurants in walking distance, so again very convenient. The rooms are standard motel-type rooms, nothing fancy, but very clean and comfortable. Note that access to 2nd and 3rd floor rooms is by stairs only. Both front desk agents that I interacted with were professional, friendly and helpful. The pool looked clean and inviting and the indoor hot tub also looked nice-- I did not think to bring a bathing suit, but will next time!
Great location in Eugene if you're here for. U.of O. events. Room is clean. Bed very comfortable. Breakfast is free but nothing special. The usual continental faire. Odd placement of toilet holder of all things. It would be out of reach for children or someone with very short arms. Staff is pleasant and helpful. Be sure to check out the local Voodoo Donut shop and The Fish Market!
I stayed at this hotel for the Eugene Marathon. All other hotels were offering late checkout, except for this hotel. I asked a couple of times if I could have late checkout prior to checking in and at check in. I was told by the front desk that I would need to call in the morning to arrange late checkout. When I called at 5am, the morning of the race, I was told that there was a policy to have no late checkouts due to the marathon. I have never received that kind of treatment from a hotel the day of a marathon. I will certainly never stay here again, nor will I recommend any of my fellow runners to stay here.
Nice place, VERY convenient to the University of Oregon, reasonably priced. Walking distance to food, to the University, to the football stadium, to Autzen stadium, the baseball field. All around a perfect place to stay in Eugene.
Nice room. Strange location for toilet paper dispenser; would be difficult for a child to reach. The usual breakfast faire. Clean and adequate. Pool and spa available but pool was not heated. Not a good thing in Eugene. Was here for U. of Oregan business. Great location for that. Amtrak runs close by.
Top notch accommodation and, even though the inn is located on a busy street across from UO, nearby I found nice walking areas. There are several restaurants nearby and the grocery store across the street has an extensive deli and eating area for casual meals.
Clean and quiet rooms. The king bed was REALLY comfortable and the morning sun on the balcony was a plus. Small outdoor pool and hot tub too. Continental breakfast was just right and included biscuits and gravy (my favorite). Sam's sports bar is right next door for a night cap if you want. Will be returning on our next trip to Eugene.
The room was large, good amount of towels, was nice and cool and got warm quickly at night. Breakfast was really good, many options, wish the pancakes were available when we came down to eat and the biscuits had been warm. But overall great layout and they used real utensils and plates both at breakfast and in the room. Used to paper everything. The staff was nice, and quick for check in and at breakfast.
The room was very clean and welcoming. Staff was kind and friendly and also very helpful with directions for places around town. I would highly recommend this hotel have stay several times and my family have always had a great stay. To anyone on a budget and looking for a safe clean hotel this is it.
Very good value. Friendly and helpful staff. Close to major interstate highway and a variety of restaurants.. I would recommend staying at this motel for anyone traveling through or staying in Eugene, Oregon.
Heads up. There are two Best Westerns on the same street only half a block or so from one another. To be honest, we ended up here by accident as we had read about the other online but pulled into the first Best Western we saw. Clean rooms, the building is a little dated but the interior is nice. Mediocre coffee. The highlight of the breakfast buffet was that there was gluten free oatmeal options. We have not encountered that much in the past and appreciate the effort to accommodate the food limitations by some in our family.
I have been to several Best Western hotels this week and this one meets my expectations. Hotel is across from the Oregon University. Rooms are clean, staff was polite and helpful. I would stay here again for sure. And to top it off the price is right.
The noise that woke me up, which I'm certain was hotel staff, and the wifi going down. Reliable Wifi should be as standard as toilet paper in 2016. This is also the first time I was made aware that I had to submit my Best Western rewards number in order to receive the rewards. Totally inconvenient. I now realize I haven't received rewards for multiple stays at Best Western, which is one of the primary reasons I was staying there. I would assume the account would pull by name or number when I checked it. This is totally inefficient.
Although the structure itself is an older property, the rooms are spacious and tastefully appointed, with comfortable beds and pillows, and quiet. Close to the University of Oregon. Comes with a continental breakfast plus pancake assembly-line machine. Overall, a solid value. The only two issues were that the exterior door seemed to have problems with card keys, and steam from the shower sometimes made the fire alarm chirp. A great stay in all other respects.
Our stays at the Best Western hotels on our business trip were all clean and friendly. We were not disappointed. We would use Best Western Hotels again! Each one was a little different experience. We don't travel very often but if we would choose another venture, we would use Best Western again.
Another wonderful stay at Best Western. Quiet and comfortable, love the bed. We try to always stay with Best Western when we travel they welcome our pups! This hotel is close to restaurants within walking distance and University of Oregon is right across the street.
Can count on Best Western for a good place to stay, and the Greentree is no exception. Room (206) was good size, very clean and well appointed. Bed was comfortable. Tub shower. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Good location for getting to many places. Plenty of parking but can be a little tough when Inn is sold out. Breakfast was good. Have to use stairs to get to room on upper floors.
From beginning to end the experience was excellent. The staff were warm and hospitable, The room was lovely, every thing worked. The bed was comfortable. I dont think I have ever had a bad sleep in a Best Western Hotel!!! Consistency !!!! Thank you
Stayed for the MLK long weekend. Daughter had a volleyball tournament at Univ of Oregon. The facilities are what you would expect from a mid range hotel. Comfortable but not luxurious. But the location is perfect. It's across the street from The Knight Arena, Prefontaine's running trail is just behind it, and next to a great Korean BBQ restaurant.
Very, very clean, entire hotel. Friendly staff and updated rooms with upscale granite. Comfortable bed. Right across from the Ducks stadium and good walking distance to the River trails and restaurants.
We have been going up to Eugene, OR to watch the Ducks, GO DUCKS! play basketball for the past 10 years and each time we try (unless booked already) to stay at the Green Tree Inn. The Customer Service and amenities are always Superior there and would recommend them highly. Rooms are clean suit us perfectly. One of the best points of the Greentree is the easy access to the Ducks game and to food after the game. No place like Greentree Inn for us!
when you enter the hotel on the ground floor where room 109 was there was this horrible smell of dirt and mold, the same was in the room and bathroom and the closet. We had the balcony door open all the time.
Awesome place to stay! The customer service wasreally good. We stayed in the one and only suite and it was just perfect for my family. We all had plenty of room to spread out. The breakfast was very nice with plenty to choose from. Just wish there was srambled eggs and bacon or sausage to choose from. Over all great value.
We had not traveled this area before and the staff The rain had made all the surrounding plants and grass very green and great to see; as our desert is mostly brown. The trees were also a wonder and we took lots of photos for our friends and family. The experience was especially great. Staff also recommended a great restaurant the night before, that served much from area grown vegetables and fruits. The service station that was recommended also had great service.
Stayed at the Greentree, across the street for the University of Oregon and walking distance to the famous Autzen Stadium. A perfect stay! Quiet, clean and close to everything we needed. Will go back again for certain.
We enjoyed staying at the Greentree Inn in Eugene, OR. It was centrally located to the Stadium and the University of Oregon which was the reason for the visit. We were with friends from Chicago and Orange County, CA and we all enjoyed our visit.
I have stayed at the Greentree Inn for many years. I always get a Mill Race view unit and have always been very satisfied. Quiet and comfortable. We stay in a pet room with our small dog. The room is order free and in perfect condition.
Wished we had known about this when we went to see Elton John and the Eagles. Right across the street from the Matthew Knight Area. Makes it very convenient. No parking problem, decent food nearby. Just right.
Hotel staff was nice and location was great. The hotel room was clean, but it smelled stuffy and like mildew and then disinfectant to cover it up. It was a lower level room below ground and I believe that had something to do with it. But, on the plus side the bed was very comfortable.
Very conveniently located right across from the U of O campus. Very easy to find and the rooms are very clean. Nothing over-the-top special but if you are looking for an inexpensive, clean room this is for you!
Dogs barked in the hallways all night as their owners came in and out. Could not get the internet to work at all even though my computer internet connection worked just fine at a best western in Hillsboro Or. the following night.
This hotel is ideal when visiting the University of Oregon. It is near the campus and is safe to walk around. The restaurants and grocery stores are great. It is easy to find of the freeway. I recommend it to my fellow Guamanians.
This is about the minimum of what I expect from a Best Western. There were no surprises and no problems. The Pizza place (almost next door) is very good. There is another Best Western within 100 yards (next door?). I've also stayed at that other property and I like it better. It's a little more expensive so if your trying to save a buck this property is fine. This property has nice balconies and people do use them. People were well behaved but it does create SOME noise (not bad at all for a University campus).
It's a typical Best Western. Right across the street from the University of Oregon, it's clean, but dated. Nothing bad to report, but nothing extraordinary. Free breakfast was adequate. Rooms clean. Fitness center pedestrian. Location works and getting 15% discount at Sam's on Franklin sports bar was probably the best thing. If you're looking for upscale, this isn't it. If you're looking for decent with good location, it will work.
This hotel was in the perfect location for the purpose of our trip, which was to settle my daughter into her dorm for her freshman year of college at the University of Oregon. Walking distance to the university, and a really awesome restaurant next door. Lots of free parking. Free breakfast. Microwave and refrigerator in the room. Very convenient.
This establishment was a clean, standard, and conveniently located hotel but what makes it stand out is the exceptional service. Although I could not check in early they were very gracious to let me park in the lot anyway so I could make my meeting with no problems.
This hotel is OK to stay at, especially if you are staying for the purpose of visiting the University of Oregon. It is directly across the street from the school, literally 50 feet away from the Mathew Knight Arena. That being said, the hotel is dated in appearance which is not in line with the pricing. I suspect its location is what allows them to charge this much. The staff is friendly and the lady in charge of breakfast is wonderful.
After traveling for 7hrs and beginning to feel a sinus problem coming on, it was nice to be treated by Macy(?). She was friendly and professional. Our room was small and according to my travel mates "we can smell mold". The room needed to be updated. It was quite and our check out was easy. Jen at the front desk made it easy and friendly.
This place smelled so badly my family and I could hardly stand it. The smell was a mixture of mold and mildew, animal, smoke and stinky air freshener. I had advised I wanted to pay cash instead of charge my credit card but they went a head and charged the room. Staff was not friendly and welcoming. The air conditioner did not work and we were extremely hot all night.
