"An Excellent Rest@BW!"

FastFredA1, B.C. 21/03/2020

Drove 14.5 hours from Claremont, CA to Eugene and needed a break! BW provided that! Front Desk Person, Allison, exuded Customer Service skills and personality plus! Every BW needs an Allison! Give he a raise! All was excellent: perfect room, quiet, awesome shower, great breakfast, perfect internet, tasty coffee, comfortable bed, clean/tidy bed & room! Would gladly recommend to others which we always do when we experience Quality Service!

BestWesternEugene, Front Office Manager at Best Western Hayward Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for staying at BW Greentree Inn. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your time with us and that you were met with the level of customer service you have come to expect when staying at BW properties.

User 05/02/2020

Everything was clean, service was great and friendly, We always like to stay at BW. The bed was comfortable, shower was great with lots of towels which is good. Breakfast was one of the better ones. The room smelled really fresh, not musty or filled with deoderizer.

greentreeinn, Front Office Manager at Best Western Hayward Inn, responded to this review
Thank you so much for taking the time to complete our survey and for giving such a wonderful review! We are so glad you enjoyed your time with us and hope that you will consider staying with us again the next time you are in Eugene.

"Two to Choose"

Ken H, Victoria, Canada 30/01/2020

There are two BW on the same block. A promotion was offered for the one we hadn't stayed at before and found it very nice. The room is a good size with lovely bedding. There is construction next door but being a weekend, it was quiet. A good breakfast offered.

greentreeinn, Front Office Manager at Best Western Hayward Inn, responded to this review
Hi Ken, Thank you for taking the time to complete our survey and leave a review. We are so happy you enjoyed breakfast with us. We are confused a bit by your rating... while you gave us all 5 out of 5 and 4 out of 5 scores your over all stay was the lowest rating available a 1. If there was an issue that took place during your stay to warrant such a low score I would very much like to know so we can resolve it for you as well as other future guests. If the poor rating of 1 was an error would you please consider correcting it? Thank you, we hope to see you again on your next trip to Eugene.

"Convenient location"

User 27/01/2020

Hotel was reasonably priced and the location was perfect as we were going to see a Ducks basketball game. Breakfast was good and Jennifer at the front desk was outstanding! They are building a new hotel check in/out center on the property so parking was a bit tight but not unmanageable. The Wifi could have used a bit more bandwidth.

greentreeinn, Front Office Manager at Best Western Hayward Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for staying with us and for your kind words! We work hard to ensure that all of our guests enjoy their stay and we appreciate your feedback very much. We have just switched over our internet today and hope the fiber optic will speed things up! We look forward to having you stay with us again in the future!

"Noisy roof when it rains"

integrityaandh, Santa Maria, California 27/01/2020

The staff is wonderful and the location is right across from the stadium. Expect traffic. We were towards the front and when it rained it sounded like someone beating a drum. It disturbed our sleep. Coffee is good.

greentreeinn, Front Office Manager at Best Western Hayward Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for staying with us! We work hard to ensure that all of our guests enjoy their stay, I am sorry to hear this was not the case. I apologize the rain was loud on the roof causing you to not get a good nights sleep, I understand how frustrating that can be. We do appreciate you taking the time to complete our survey and leave your honest feedback.

"Excellent one night stay!"

doudyjd99, Anacortes, Washington 17/01/2020

This location was a great stopping point for our trip from Arizona to the PNW!! Walking distance to a few restaurants and convenience stores. Also, close to the freeway entrance. We had two small dogs with us too. Staff was very nice and accommodating. The bed and room were really nice and comfi!! Highly recommend!

"Nice for the Price"

317dianaw, Salem, Oregon 01/01/2020

We didn't pay to much for this place and that is about what we got. Nothing fancy the room is a bit worn and the idea of the room having a view is kind of comical really. The breakfast bar was okay nothing fancy and kind of small but we ate super early to it was not crowded or nosy. The office staff both at check in and check out were very welcoming and friendly. The area on the back and sides of the hotel were not the best but hopefully new businesses will go in and make the place seem nicer.

greentreeinn, Front Office Manager at Best Western Greentree Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for taking the time to complete our survey and leave a review. We appreciate your kind words regarding our staff and your honest feedback. We hope that you will consider staying with us again, I think you will enjoy all the renovations and the expansion that will be taking place in 2020/2021.

"Great stay"

janholt2018, Vancouver, Canada 17/12/2019

The staff are very friendly, the rooms are clean and the bed is good, only issue is the small pillows need to go, regular size pillows are better. Will stay again on our way back from California to British Columbia.

"Great location for Duck football!!"

rhondal123, Redmond 19/11/2019

Comfortable beds and lots of things within walking distance. Public transit is across the street and Knight Arena is also across the street. We didn't bring our dog but they are very pet friendly. I felt it was a little expensive for one night but I knew it was gonna be more than usual because of the game.

"My stay at the Best Western Greentree Inn in Eugene"

patpppph, Medford, OR 12/11/2019

We were in Eugene to watch my 7 year old great grandson play football at Autzen Stadium. Several of his team members nd their families stayed there also. We were given a very good rate. The kids used the pool and hot tub, and had a great time. We enjoyed our stay there, and will stay there again.

"Last minute"

User 25/10/2019

For a last minute reservation, this was great, in the heart of the University district. The bathroom and sink area were tight, and we would have preferred a larger bathroom area. Nice to have desk space.

Best Western Greentree Inn is a very good hotel in the University area of Eugene, OR. I had a very good and quiet room with a small balcony and a view on a creek. The bed was very comfortable, and I had a perfect sleep. Breakfast was good, and staff were helpful and friendly.

Best Western Greentree Inn Eugene Ice Cold Jacuzzi and Broken Promises 718291104 BW Rep offered a rate for my stay 2 weeks in advance. BW reneged on the offer at checkout (I would have stayed somewhere else.) I have a bad back and BW assured me they had a functioning hot tub OOps wrong again! Night clerks need to find another job as they are like a bunch of argumentative gang members!

greentreeinn, Front Office Manager at Best Western Greentree Inn, responded to this review
Hello again Mr. French, When I responded to your review on a separate site I thought you might have your stay with us confused with a stay at another hotel- after reading this review I am quite certain you do. I have thoroughly reviewed our records of your stay with us and will gladly forward you copies of the confirmation you were emailed at the time of your booking quoting your rate, the reg card you completed at check in where you initialed the room rate you would be charged, and the receipt of your final bill showing your charges. The rate has never changed, nor was it reneged upon your check out. I apologize if the hotel you are reviewing had issues with their hot tub during your stay. Our spa is and has been up and running and is check numerous times a day to maintain chemicals as well as the temperature guidelines set by the Lane County Health Department.

"Great Value"

User 10/10/2019

Make sure u know how to get in and out off Franklin If you want to leave the same way you came in, it is quite difficult since you cant turn left onto franklin. Trying to make the u turn requires about an eight block navigation. .

greentreeinn, Front Office Manager at Best Western Greentree Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for taking the time to complete our survey and leave a review! Yes, Franklin Blvd is a one way street so you must turn right, however if you turn right at the first traffic light just a few yards up you can do a U-turn which will enable you to turn left. We hope you enjoyed your stay with us and that you will consider staying with us again on your next trip to Eugene!

"Convenient to Campus"

Daverasta, Federal Way, Washington 30/09/2019

We were in Eugene taking a freshman to college. This property is conveniently right across the street from Mathew Knight Arena and an easy walk to all other campus locations. A full breakfast is included, they currently have an inadequate breakfast area but we are told they are expanding within the next year. The staff was very friendly and helpful. All in all, our stay was comfortable, the room rate was fair and the location cannot be beat. One complaint, our bed was way too soft, needs replacement.

greentreeinn, Front Office Manager at Best Western Greentree Inn, responded to this review

"Huge Rooms!"

rekneebeanie, Missouri 29/09/2019

We stayed here for three nights. The rooms are huge! The bed was comfy! The breakfast was kept well-stocked. We would absolutely stay here again when we return to town for another visit. We had a problem with the battery going dead in our door so the keys didn't work, but the front desk fixed it immediately. Great service!

"Too cold"

jeffbY3881ZP, Huntington Beach, United States 21/09/2019

Nice clean place with very friendly and helpful staff. Unfortunately, the air conditioner would not turn off and there were no spare blankets in the room so I didn't sleep well due to being cold all night.

greentreeinn, Front Office Manager at Best Western Greentree Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for taking the time to complete our survey and leave feedback. I am sorry you were cold during your stay and did not sleep well. We do have extra blankets in the bottom drawer of each room, I apologize that our staff did not make you aware of this at check in. Please note, if you ever have an issue with your heater or ac unit during your stay please do not hesitate to call the front desk, our staff is available 24 hours to assist you with whatever you may need. We do hope you will come back to stay with us again on your next trip to Eugene.

Such an amazing hotel. The house keepers went above and beyond. They even brought little toys to our little ones as well as made sure we were always comfortable. We traveled with 4 month old twins, a 2 year old and 10 year old. They made sure the girls had an amazing stay. Love these girl scout!

"Great location and staff"

fanningm2019, Morgantown, West Virginia 03/09/2019

Excellent BW hotel when visiting University of Oregon. Highly recommend due to location and quality of staff. There is an outdoor pool and semi-enclosed hot tub which are very relaxing. Location is very private yet close enough to walk to UO activities. Highly recommend.

"Do not stay here if you are scent sensitive!!"

Christine L, British Columbia, Canada 18/08/2019

They have mounted scent machines in the hallways and it is thick and offensive!!. I have stayed at a few other BW properties with this manufactured scent and will not go again to these locations. It is overwhelming and will make you sick!! The location was great and convenient and the rooms were clean and pleasant aside from the smell. There is another BW a few doors down, not sure if they have the same scent. Parking is tight due to long stays with large trucks, so parking can be tight.

greentreeinn, Front Office Manager at Best Western Greentree Inn, responded to this review
Hi Christine, I apologize you found the fragrance in our hallways offensive. I am glad to hear you liked the rest of our hotel and enjoyed your stay with us. Thank you for your taking the time to complete our review and for your honest feedback!

"Pick another hotel"

Passenger192201, El Paso, Texas 21/07/2019

Blood stained sheets! Musty mold smell in entire hotel. When notified of blood explained some customers may make the bed thinking they are helping. So does that mean they don't clean the bedding on every bed after someone stays?

greentreeinn, Front Office Manager at Best Western Greentree Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for completing the survey regarding your recent stay at our property. Please know that concerns of this nature are highly unusual and certainly something we take very seriously. Because you occupied that room for three days prior to reporting any issues, it was necessary to share your concerns with our housekeeping staff to determine any error and make any corrections. Thank you for letting us immediately correct the situation and offer compensation. Regardless of how the sheet became dirty it is always our goal to handle any situation efficiently and respectfully with our guests. I hope you will not allow this isolated incident to reflect poorly on Best Western overall. On behalf of our entire team, I would like to apologize for not exceeding your expectations. If I can provide any assistance, please don't hesitate to contact me directly

"Nice but a tad outdated"

User 16/07/2019

The hotel was decent. It smells like an old hotel but the breakfast was decent and had gluten free options. the hot tub and pool were maintained nicely. parking is a bit cramped since it was a busy weekend in town. Overall it was a decent stay the beds are terrible. but best to bring your own pillow as they are like the size of a throw pillow.

All very clean and well kept. The breakfast is very good and varied and the staff super friendly.

"Great Stay"

User 01/07/2019

We stayed for one night for a concern. Comfy bed, great shower pressure! Room smelled a little musty but we did have a pet friendly room. The pillows are on the smaller side but they were still comfortable.

"Visiting son at U of O"

Daydream23538522303, Thousand Oaks, California 23/06/2019

I went to visit my son at the University of Oregon and am every happy I chose this hotel. I am gluten free because of allergies and was offered hot and cold gluten free food options at breakfast. The room was quiet, clean, and the beds was very comfortable. My mom is very picky about beds and she also thought the beds were comfortable. All the employees were friendly, helpful, and professional. I will stay in this hotel next time I am in Eugene.

"Desk clerk at checkout called me an a-hole."

Kevin S, Monroe, Washington 02/06/2019

Didn't realize until my morning shower that the trash had not been emptied from the previous occupants. Reported the discrepancy at checkout and the desk clerk flipped his lid that I he had to handle it. When I commented on his defeatist attitude he called me an a-hole. Great bed, no USB ports.

BestWesternEugene, General Manager at Best Western Greentree Inn, responded to this review
Kevin, I am sorry that my staff missed changing out the garbage that was left behind by a previous guest. It behooves me to learn that my night audit person who has been with us for over 31 years directed profanity toward you when you were checking out and letting him know what you had encountered during your stay. This behavior is 100% not acceptable nor indicative of the normal guest services we provide. I will certainly address this incident with him along with the breakfast attendant who was present during your interaction with our front desk agent. Thank you for bringing this to our attention so we can address this matter properly.

"Come for the potatoes"

User 30/05/2019

My stay here was in all ways comfortable . The room was nice, the staff was totally pleasant. The price was resealable. The potatoes at breakfast were over the top. I am not even normally a potato person, but these were totally delicious with perfect seasoning. Next time I am in Eugene you know where to find me!

BestWesternEugene, Front Office Manager at Best Western Greentree Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for staying at BW Greentree Inn. We know that the little details are what keep our guests coming back, so we are delighted to hear you will be staying with us again to join us for our complimentary hot breakfast -- more importantly, those delicious potatoes.

Best Western Greentree Inn is well organized and well maintained. The motel is easily accessible, centrally located in the city of Eugene, and right across the street from U of O. Room cleanliness was excellent. Room was easy to access and quiet. There was a variety well-prepared food for Breakfast. I've stayed there more than once and will again when I get back to Eugene.

"No clue on hospitality"

User 12/05/2019

On Friday night I had a prepaid confirmed reservation at the BW in Eugene. When I arrived, there was a family waiting at the front desk who were having problems checking in, I thought it was because they didn't have a reservation. The young man at the front desk kept telling them what he could not do. In a gap in their conversation, I asked that, because I had a prepaid confirmed reservation, could I have a key for a room. The reservation clerk said there was nothing he could do because his system was down. After a couple of questions for him, I asked what he was doing about it. He said he had called 'IT'. I asked the family in front of me how long they had been waiting, and they said about 25 minutes. I asked the clerk if he had an ETA. No idea was the answer. I said I would like a note or something from him saying he was unable to check me in, so I could go get a room someplace else and get a refund. He said he could not do that, that prepaid rooms were not refundable. I asked that he call his manager, and he said he was the manager. With that I left because there was no room in site and no solution their 'manager' could help with.

BestWesternEugene, Front Office Manager at Best Western Greentree Inn, responded to this review
I am sorry that our systems crashed during your intended time of check-in. We understand that this was a stressful situation for our guests as well as our staff, and apologize for the burden it caused you. Please call the hotel directly if you would like to discuss the matter further.

"Do not stay"

User 12/05/2019

We had bugs in our room, the room was dirty, the hot tub had a dirt ring around it. When confronting staff they were defensive and rude. This was not a comfortable experience whatsoever. DO NOT STAY HERE.

BestWesternEugene, Front Office Manager at Best Western Greentree Inn, responded to this review
Please contact the hotel directly to discuss this matter further.

"Good Overnight Stop"

RoadTrippersWA, Bonney Lake, Washington 05/05/2019

Needed an overnight stop in Eugene that wasn't going to break the bank. This place met the criteria. Not a new place, but clean and comfortable. We had a 3rd floor room, and there are no elevators - not a big problem for us, but could be for others, so if you can't lug your stuff up stairs, request a ground-floor room. Breakfast was outstanding, fresh, hot food tended regularly. The building is right across the street from UofO's sports arena and is convenient to those who are visiting the school's campus. If you are an Oregon sports fan (I am not) this is a good spot. The only real downside to this BW (other than the stairs) is that it is a long and narrow property; parking spaces are extremely narrow and fill quickly. It is a long walk from the back tower (where we were) to the lobby for breakfast, thankfully the weather was good. Not a deal-breaker, just something to be aware of. We would stay here again.

BestWesternEugene, Front Office Manager at Best Western Greentree Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for taking the time to review our property thoroughly. We appreciate you having stayed with us, and look forward to seeing you again at BW New Oregon soon.

"Barking dogs not conducive to a good nights sleep."

sharpinvesments, Spokane, Washington 14/04/2019

Two night stay. No elevators, multi story facility, so be forewarned. Stairs and walkways are narrow. Parking lot spaces are very tight. If you have a larger vehicle, parking will be difficult if the hotel is fully booked. The hotel is also "pet friendly"... unfortunately for me, someones "buddy" really liked to bark at odd hours. It made for a sleepless night the first day. The room was clean and comfortable... firm bed, big screen w/ full channel package, fridge & microwave. HVAC unit worked well. Fan could be left on continuously too. Excellent breakfast had omelettes, real eggs, sausage, real diced potatoes, biscuits & gravy, pastries, cold cereal, pastries and an automatic pancake maker (looks like a copy machine... too funny to watch people try to figure it out). Dining area is actually too small for facility. This would have been a 4 star stay if the dog had not ruined my nights sleep. . .

BestWesternEugene, General Manager at Best Western Greentree Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for staying with us and providing all the positive feedback, clean and comfortable rooms, excellent breakfast, well running HVAC unit along with other nice compliments. We do apologize for "buddy" barking and disrupting your sleep. I don't know if you called the front desk to let us know of the problem during your stay but we may have been able to help you out so you could have received some well deserved rest. We will be adding an elevator in the near future which we are all excited about. Currently our parking can be challenging at times but for larger vehicles or people having trailers we do own the lot next door and we provide complimentary parking to help alleviate the busy nights. We hope you look at the positive things you mentioned and decide to stay with us again the next time you visit Eugene. If you ask the front desk at check in many times they could put you in an area away from any pet rooms so that is not a problem during your stay. Thank you again for staying with us and we do appreciate your feedback.

"Friendly Staff, but hotel needs a refresh."

scrow, San Jose, CA 14/04/2019

My son and I stayed here in early April for Duck Days. The proximity to Knight arena is great (just across the street). The hotel is old - popcorn ceilings and bad hallway decor. There is no elevator, so we had to carry our bags up three flights of stairs. The room smelled a bit musty - and the curtain had holes that I could see daylight through in the morning. That being said, the room was clean, the front desk people were SUPER nice, and the breakfast was good.

BestWesternEugene, Manager at Best Western Greentree Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for staying with us and providing your feedback on TripAdvisor. Yes, we are foot steps away from the University of Oregon and we have many guests who stay with us either attending events or visiting their son or daughter while they attend the UofO. We are currently in the planning process to remodel all our rooms which we are really excited about. During the remodel we will be adding an elevator as well which will be a great addition to the property. We hope you decide to with us again while your son attends the University.

"Great Location by University of Oregon"

Andy H, Gabriola Island, Canada 29/03/2019

A very clean and stylish member of the Best Western chain. Not a new hotel, but the rooms and public areas are very well maintained. Rooms have a very pleasant lay-out and some offer views of a woodland creek. Great breakfast and friendly staff. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip.

Thank you for staying with us during you recent visit to the University of Oregon. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed each aspect of your stay, and hope to see you again the next time you're visiting Eugene.

"Room 130 ROCKS!!!!"

User 09/03/2019

We had been displaced owing to the Oakridge/Westfir Snowmaggedon that left us with no heat and no electricity. We were traveling with two cats and our choices were incredibly limited, as 9,000 other people had lost their power as well. BWGI had one room left and it was spectacular. Two storey, three queen size beds, a full-on lounge downstairs, two large TVs, two large full bathrooms. Fridge and microwave. Fantastic accomodations. We hated to leave!!

BestWesternEugene, Front Office Manager at Best Western Greentree Inn, responded to this review

Good in that you are close to the Matthew Knight Arena, and the campus. Otherwise this place is showing its age and there are many better places to stay. It is fine, and room was clean, but that is about the extent of it.

"They took care of us during a bad snow storm"

Joel R, Eugene, Oregon 28/02/2019

When our power went out at home, the Greentree was a great port in a storm. The rooms were moderately priced, but very comfortable and a full breakfast we could enjoy with gluten-free options. rooms were large and the beds were comfortable.

BestWesternEugene, Front Office Manager at Best Western Greentree Inn, responded to this review
We are happy to hear that we were able to provide you with creature comforts during the recent snow storm. We hope that life has returned to normal for you, and that you had a memorable stay at Best Western Greentree Inn.

"Great customer service but wont book again"

User 18/02/2019

NO guest laundry, horrible free breakfast, bathroom was small and room was over priced, and there is NO ELEVATOR. I stay in hotels often traveling for work and pleasure, I will not be staying here again. The nly good thing here is your staff is incredible. I feel bad that they have to deal with the company problems.

"Very nice stay!"

Steven J, Monroe, United States 22/01/2019

Nice property near the U of Oregon. Close to Springfield also. Great hot breakfast plus all the other choices you could possibly want. Clean room, double sink but separate from the bath so two people can be getting ready at the same time. Very nice staff. Did I mention a GREAT breakfast? :)

"Great Stay"

User 15/01/2019

Once again had a great stay at this Best Western. It is located right across the street from the University of Oregon and near restaurants. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable. It is especially nice that they have dog-friendly rooms if you request it at the time you book your room. We try to stay here whenever we visit Eugene.

Greentree is a great location. It is right across from the Matt Knight Center, which makes it great for college basketball games or concerts. The Greentree Inn is not far from downtown area and shopping areas, and great restaurants!

"Great location"

User 07/01/2019

BW Greentree is conveniently located directly across from Matt Knight Arena. The hotel could use a bit of a decor update but is conviently located and always clean. The Staff are always professional and helpful. The breakfast is fresh, tasty and plentiful. We did have an issue with a squeaky floor above us, this trip - just a sign of age I guess.

BestWesternEugene, Front Office Manager at Best Western Greentree Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for staying with us! We can place you on the top floor for your next visit to our hotel upon request, and are happy to hear you enjoyed every other aspect of your recent visit.

I would have loved to stay at this location for more than one night. It is a great location right on the main street through this area. I was able to walk to a store and a restaurant for dinner. I loved having a balcony overlooking the river. I could not hear the traffic from my room.

"Convenient location."

John K, Sisters, Oregon 29/09/2018

The motel uses a booking agent even when you call them directly so it adds an additional fee to what you think you are paying. I might as well have booked through a web based ap. Even though I am a Rewards member.

BestWesternEugene, Front Office Manager at Best Western Greentree Inn, responded to this review
If you would like speak to a hotel representative in the future, please wait on the line instead of dialing zero. When you select this option, you are transferred to our call center. I hope this helps and sorry for the confusion!

Go ahead and stay here if your stupid enough, Breakfast sucks, they don't hold food at the proper temperature, sausage looks like it needs life support , bread staleness, only one candy vending machine on the whole property, I could go on and on.

We stayed here for one night to rest up on our way home to Seattle from a wonderful Rogue River rafting trip. The hotel was just what we wanted - clean, convenient, very comfortable bed, good little fridge, very friendly service, and good breakfast included with room. Also the price of our stay was very reasonable

"Good Location But No Elevator"

JohnFromSantaClara, Santa Clara, CA 21/08/2018

The family stopped in Eugene on our vacation to visit some local friend. We chose this Best Western due to the location. When we pulled in there was no parking. We found our room on the 3rd floor with no elevator. The room itself was clean but a bit small. The AC was on very strongly making the room cold. That was kinda nice as it was very hot that day. The breakfast was fine but did not have as many options as most other Best Westerns. The building itself is older concrete without a lot to look at.`

BestWesternNewOregon, Front Office Manager at Best Western Greentree Inn, responded to this review
Dear JohnFromSantaClara, I would first like to thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback about your recent stay. "Great Place to Stay"

User 14/08/2018

Of the many hotels I have stayed at in Eugene, we will return to this one due to great price, clean rooms, comfortable beds, decent amount of parking, nice pool and super friendly staff. Also a fun location across the street from U of O.

"Decent place but not modern"

TonyaB6, Belfair, Washington 25/07/2018

We stayed here on a road trip to/from WA - CA. There are two Best Westerns on this block pretty close to each other. We stayed at this one because the day was hot as all get out and it has an outdoor pool. The room was clean but a little dated. The front desk clerk was super friendly and pleasant. She made check-in quick and easy. The breakfast was fine. They offer more than just pastries and muffins.

"Business Stay"

kevine776, Bellingham, Washington 22/07/2018

The Hotel was clean, in a great location. The breakfast was good with convenience. The bed and temperature of the room was comfortable. The cleaning staff did a great job. The checkout service was quick and painless. I will stay here again.

"Met all our needs!"

jimmW3397LK, Half Moon Bay, California 22/07/2018

Met all our needs. The staff was friendly and professional. Everything you could want in a great location. A great night sleep the hotel was surprisingly quiet. Comfortable bed. The microwave and refrigerator were a plus as well.

"Good place to stay!"

Linda B, RENO 05/07/2018

Best Western Greentree Inn was quiet and clean--no bugs of any kind any where. Located close to the University of Oregon. The only thing I would criticize was that one person was expected to man the reception desk at both Best Westerns.

"Comfortable and Clean!"

patrizia214, West Linn 03/07/2018

Friendly and warm reception and very comfortable, clean facility. We were given good recommendations for dining and directions to our destinations. We will definitely be back. This Best Western is also a good bargain to boot!

"Excellent place to stay in Eugene"

lovescats6, Eureka, California 30/06/2018

We arrived at the hotel to a welcoming desk clerk. Sign in process was very efficieng. We had forgotten toothpaste and she gave us several toothbrushes that had toothpaste on them in a a wrapper. Saved the night and morning. Our room was modern, clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent - cheese omelets, sausage, bacon, potatoes, cereals, eggs, bagels, yogurt, pastries, juices, coffee and tea and a pancake maker! Most hotel breakfasts are moderate to awful but this was a great breakfast, and if you are staying at this hotel don't walk down the street to find a breakfast place - stay here! I really have to give a shout out to the breakfast room staff. Everything was clean, and if a spill occurred, they immediately cleaned it up. The food dishes were replenished often so there was always what you wanted hot and fresh food. There is a pool that was filled with kids playing and splashing, so even though we were hot and a pool would have been a delight to get in, we opted not to because it was wall to wall kids. Fortunately, our desk clerk gave us a room far away from the pool so we were not distracted at ll by the noise. I expect she realized an older couple would not like to be by the pool so we believe that was very thoughtful of her. We will definitely stay here again. My computer would not allow me to rate the services below on service, sleep quality and rooms and I would rate all the highest rating

"Excellent choice for Eugene Marathon"

cheesehead44, Bend, Oregon 02/06/2018

This hotel is located about 1/2 mile from the start of the Eugene marathon so location is excellent. Service was fast and room was nice. Hotel was very accommodating to runners and opened breakfast early on the day of the race (5am). Great breakfast options including oatmeal and pancakes. Would recommend and stay here again.

"May 27th Stay"

Angelina D, lakeview, United States 29/05/2018

We needed a place to stay for the night and we like the BW brand hotels. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Breakfast was good but not hot. Could have used a microwave. Wished coffee served was not in another room.

"Easy night"

Susan M, North vancouver 29/04/2018

Have stayed at this hotel twice and have very happy both times. The rooms are always clean and the staff are always cheerful and nothing is too much trouble for them. It's easy on and off the highway and there are restaurants and coffee shops close by. Will definitely stay here again

Our stay with the Best Western Greentree was pleasant and well priced for all of the great amenities. The checkin and checkout process was very efficient and the representative was extremely helpful and genuinely nice.

"Close to Everything"

Jl J, Grants Pass, Oregon 09/04/2018

This is the best place to stay in Eugene! A few minutes walk gets you to downtown, Knight arena, Autzen Stadium, etc. Ciara at the front desk made it nice and easy to book a room last minute. I will definitely stay here again

"Great Location to the College."

ClineFam, Seattle, Washington 04/04/2018

Nice and Easy check-in. They had the roll-away that we asked for. Room was clean and quiet. The coffee maker could be a tad bigger, its a single use style. A 2 person one would be better. Biggest Praise hands goes to the breakfast. Scrambled eggs, pre-made omelettes, potatoes, and sausage, pancake machine, gravy with biscuits, along with all the other typical breakfast things. Best way to start the day.

"Check issues for Canadians"

User 18/03/2018

The hotel was nice, clean and staff were friendly. The issue is at check in - Being Canadian I used by Debit/Visa which did not have my name on it for security purposes. This caused an embarrassing issue when checking in. It was resolved, but something to remember

"Love that they are pet friendly and good breakfasts."

teia2018, Gold Beach, Oregon 12/03/2018

Just one issue only. Neighboring Best Western only 1 block away has an indoor pool and was the one I wanted. Confusing me at booking, they're way too close. Will have to pay close attention next time. We stay at Best Westerns all the time. Never saw 2 dang near next door to each other.

"Super comfortable beds! "

User 05/02/2018

I was in Eugene for a work-related trip. This hotel has friendly customer service, room was clean and comfortable, and my queen sized bed was really great. I had very restful sleep on it, which is exactly what I needed after a long day of work. I would stay here again if I come back to the area.

"Excellent accommodation. Large rooms with a very comfortable bed."

Russell L, Gabriola Island, Canada 04/02/2018

Very comfortable accommodation. Large well appointed rooms with a very comfortable bed. Very clean and well maintained. The hot breakfast was probably the best we have had at a BW hotel. The omelettes were filled with cheese and were delicious. Location was perfect if you are attending an event at the University of Oregon.

"Clean and comfortable."

Christine S, Neahkanie 30/01/2018

I arrived later than most people do, staff was delightful, helpful. My room was everything I needed and more. The dining area was inviting although I didn't stay for breakfast. I love glass glasses and real coffee cups in the room. I accidentally locked myself outside ( in my pj s!) when running to the car for that one thing I couldn't t do without. Night staff raced a new card to me and stayed to assure new card would work . My phone case is not where to keep my room keycard.

"too much noise"

braintp, Boise, Idaho 12/01/2018

rain caused a large issie with my stay. somehow the rain gutter is missing a piece or broken and the water from the gutter falls onto the ac unit that is on the patio. glass patio door does not block the noise.

"Good price, good location, good staff"

Michael L, Florence, OR, United States 23/12/2017

Rate is good for a downtown location near UO. Staff is always helpful and room was comfortable.Staff has always gone out of its way to be helpful and this trip helped me with a garlic intolerance issue at breakfast. It made out trip work out great.

"Friendly staff, great location"

clayholio, Battle Ground, Washington 07/12/2017

This hotel is literally across the street from the Matthew Knight Arena, which was convenient. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff went out of their way to help me out, and the breakfast was even pretty good!

dominicb907, Hood River, Oregon 20/11/2017

Great stay . We came down for the Oregon ducks game. We had a blast . The staff was very nice. The breakfast could have been better , but we are just spoiled since we are use to the best western in hood River or ! Still had a great trip !

"Perfect Stay"

Darlene H, Portland. OR, United States 19/11/2017

We had a room in the back section of the hotel, creek view. Although there was a game going on across the street at U of O Knight arena we were not bother by noise at all. Felt secluded and was quiet, a nice surprise for being in town. Walked over to Track Town pizza (tops in the pizza world to me, so good). Very pleasant stay all around. Clean, quiet room.

"Very nice hotel!"

rmcl322, Oak Harbor, Washington 19/11/2017

We stayed on our way from Livermore, CA to Oak Harbor, WA from a visit with a sick friend. We were very tired and hungry! The lady at the front desk was extremely helpful in recommending a place to eat dinner that was close. The room was very clean, comfortable bed and quiet. We will definitely stay here again if the need arises.

"A Man & His Dog"

User 15/11/2017

We had a ground floor room with a dog. Lovely accommodations, (2 queen beds, non smoking room in excellent condition) friendly staff, and a nice in house breakfast. There was an area for pets to use to eliminate waste products.

"Comfortable and Quiuet"

Jeff C, Elma, Washington 14/11/2017

I've stayed here twice in the past. Decided to stay here again 11/12/17 on our November roadtrip down to Southern California. Office staff was very friendly, and check in was quick and easy. The room was a “King waterview room” with a balcony overlooking a small waterway (creek) that follows along part of the extended campus of the University of Oregon. Many ducks floating in the water, and even got to see a huge Heron pearched on a branch above the water. The room was a nice big room, with a sitting area with nice cushy armchairs. Included a microwave and small fridge. The bed was VERY comfortable with a plush mattress top. It was VERY quiet, couldn't hear ANYONE else in the adjacent rooms. Slept sound all night. There was a sink with a long countertop inside the bathroom, and another sink and almost as long countertop outside of the bathroom. LOTS of room for toiletries and such. Taking a very long shower in the morning: the showerhead appeared to be a VERY new “WaterPik” showerhead with a couple different massage settings. Water stayed hot the entire time, and water pressure was awesome. One of the first things we did after arriving was taking a nice soak in the hot tub (located in a room off to the side of the outdoor pool). The water was nice and hot, but not too hot – we were able to soak for about 25 minutes with no problems. The room being about 1/3 surrounded by glass windows – and the weather outside kind of chilly – the entire hot tub room was filled with a steamy haze like being in a steam room. Very nice! They serve a morning breakfast including cheese-filled omlettes, chunky potatoes with herbs, bacon, biscuits with sausage gravy, and various cold cereals. Better than your average motel breakfast. Only complaint – need to bump up the ‘keeping heat' on the warmed foods. Decently priced at $107. for the night, I would definitely stay here again.

"Clean and comfortable"

User 14/11/2017

Very clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Breakfast included a good selection (eggs, sausage, pancakes, etc.); could have been a little higher quality, but was filling and satisfactory.

"Nice hotel, good price!"

rkatao, Seattle, Washington 13/11/2017

We were in room 218 which is at the far end of the buildings and on the 2nd floor. This is a very good location as it is as far away from Franklin Blvd as you can get. 2nd floor was also good as cars coming down to the end of the parking lot end up turning around as parking is somewhat limited and head lights are pointed directly at the 1st floor units. Room was fine, fairly spacious and in good condition. Breakfast was better than expected but the office is as far away from the room as you could get and rather small. We would stay there again.

"t Best Westen Greentree Inn,Euguene,Oregon"

teresawC269MT, Anacortes, United States 05/11/2017

We would recommend this Hotel for those looking for a Good deal and a Warm place to eat and stay. Friendly staff, clean rooms and Restaurants near by as well as a multiple of other stores like Wal-Mart just in case you forgot to bring something on your trip.

"Nice hotel - clean, comfortable, close to U of O."

Dave B, Portland, Oregon 19/10/2017

Obviously an older motel that has been updated - clean, bed was very comfortable, across the street from the University of Oregon. As others have noted, the lack of an elevator could be an issue. Pet friendly, so if you have a pet that is fine but if you have allergies make sure you ask for a pet-free room. It is a bit off the interstate, so not the place to stay if you want/need quick access that way. Great hot breakfast, with three kinds of eggs, two meats, pancakes, and the usual cereals and yogurts. Outdoor pool. Fitness center.

"Convenient to Matthew Knight Arena"

User 17/10/2017

Had a perfectly fine experience. Would stay here again. Staff was friendly. They allow pets. Location couldn't be beat as its right across the street to the Matthew Knight arena. There are also a couple of restaurant pubs within walking distance.

"Everything you need at one place!"

User 14/10/2017

Clean bright rooms and great front desk staff! This hotel is right across from the Ducks Stadium! Has a pool and hot tub and is 2 doors down from a great little sports bar. The rooms have a peculiar shape, but are very spacious and comfortable. And quiet too. When in Eugene, this will be my pick!

"Garden-style Hotel with no elevator"

amiddl2016, Texas 12/10/2017

I had a king room that is a bit dated but clean, large, and comfortable. Parking was adequate but the vending machine and ice machine were outside which I didn't locate until I was leaving. The rooms are a garden-style arrangement with no elevator. Really in 2017? Must have missed it in the description. Will not stay again.

"Great Place To Stay"

"Clean, Convenient Place to Stay"

shawnsU7910MS, Livermore, California 05/10/2017

We often stay in the area, but this was our first experience with this property. The room was quiet and comfortably away from the busy, yet convenient main thoroughfare. Breakfast was tasty with sufficient choices to satisfy our party. We'll be back.

"Great for UO Visitors"

User 03/10/2017

Great hotel/motel when visiting University of Oregon. Friendly, helpful staff. Easy walking distance to UO. Morning breakfast and coffee to go available. Workout room could be enlarged with more equipment. Only enough room for two people to workout comfortably. Overall nice place to stay when in Eugene.

"Convenient location but loud A/C"

HiSunshine_10, Honolulu 29/09/2017

Stayed here for the football game against Nebraska and that game tripled the room prices! Still, location was very convenient to walk to Autzen Stadium and right across the street from the Matthew Knight arena. Also within walking distance is Market of Choice (market), Hiron's (store with lots of knick knacks, gift items) and Wild Duck Cafe. Our 2nd floor room (no elevators) was spacious and I like that the bathroom is separated by a wall so you can't see the bathroom light from the bed. However, we could hear the A/C cycling on and off. The loud A/C is the only reason I didn't give this hotel 5 stars. The placement of the TV was also a little odd. It is to the right of the bed, so you can't lay in bed and look straight on to the TV. Jennifer at the front desk was so friendly and helpful! I also liked that they offer cut fruit and whole fruit (apples, bananas, oranges). Would recommend staying here if you are not a light sleeper like me.

"Pleasant motel well located"

mcharan, Ireland 27/09/2017

We just spent one night here. Its on the main drag leading into town opposite the Uni of Oregon. Sports is obviously a big thing in the town. Greentree Inn is a typical motel; two storey, no elevator. Clean spacious room. Friendly staff. Good breakfast selection. Next door to Sam's diner.

"Convenient and Very Clean"

Enjoyed our stay at BW Greentree in Eugene. Across the street from the University of Oregon. Breakfast included, omlettes, sausage, yogurt, toast, coffee, cereals etc. Hot tub open late. Super nice staff

"Good hotel in a great location"

aimee s, Granite Bay, California 19/09/2017

"convenient location"

lauratX1509AP, San Anselmo, United States 17/09/2017

location is suitable for our current needs . They cater to a lot of UO families who are dropping off or visiting their student and it would be nice if they offered a UO discount for family and students.

"Quaint hotel close to University of Oregon"

Kelly H, Royal Oak, Michigan 13/09/2017

We stayed here for 2 nights as we were in town for a U of O football game. The proximity of this hotel to the stadium as well as the rest of campus is great. We were able to easily walk everywhere. To go 'downtown' Eugene is a longer walk, or, a short car ride from this spot as well. The hotel itself is slightly older, but I heard they have planned updates happening soon which would be nice. The balconies are nice, however, there aren't any chairs to sit on out there which I found a little odd. We did utilize the pool & hot tub. It was pretty standard, but was nice to take a refreshing dip after a long day. The breakfast was good as well, decent variety of hot options as well as the standard continental menu. We never had an issue with parking although the hotel was sold out. I've seen that it is sometimes an issue, but there were always plenty of spaces every time we went in & out. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again in the future if we returned to be close to the stadium & campus.

"Wouldn't consider this place again due to price discrepancy"

User 06/09/2017

We booked 2 nights through for $163 and $212 (US dollars). To our surprise we got charged for $183 (less a discount of $40 because of a broken light switch) and $279 instead. Asked the front desk about this and was told that the regular prices have kicked in because both bookings have been cancelled. We never cancel the reservations! All we did was asking the front desk (upon check-in) whether it's possible for us to stay in the same room for 2 nights. They said okay but never told us that such request would affect the prices. We asked for a refund to no avail. It's not worth our time to pursue this further but it did leave a bad taste in our mouths. We booked 2 other hotels for this trip and both of them honoured their prices.

"A welcome surprise..."

PrincessWildhair, Vista 05/09/2017

I have become very fond of Best Westerns. As a kid we stayed in them all the time. I am a corporate traveler as well and while Best Western is not one of our list of hotels - I think it should be. The service at this location is wonderful. The staff actually act like they care - because I think they do! The rooms were very clean, well appointed and all around great - especially for the money. The hot breakfast is a bonus. The only thing to watch out for is that there is no elevator. If you are on the 3rd floor you will need to be able to carry your bag. The back of the hotel is very nice and is located along a nice creek with trees. Really great experience.

"Good value and clean room"

canmarto, Portland, Oregon 05/09/2017

This seems to be an older style hotel and it is maintained reasonably well. Some aspects are a bit tired. It is a great location for U of O events and is easy to get to. It is a good property for families with a nice pool area and work out room. The breakfast was quite adequate.

"Three story building with no elevators."

Rick D, Walnut Creek, CA 28/08/2017

Shower drain not working well and then started backing up "gunk." Reported problem to front desk but no one responded. Ask for a first floor room if you have a problem with stairs. Otherwise, it was average place to stay.

"A good place if you are in transit"

Jim M, Mountain View, California 28/08/2017

It is a chain hotel that can provide a clean, convenient place to sleep if you en route somewhere. Not good if you are looking for a memorable experience. The breakfast is basically inedible but there are college coffee-shops nearby.

"Very good hotel in Eugene"

PeterWxf, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada 28/08/2017

if you need a hotel in Eugene, this is the one I will recommend: A very quiet and convenient location, a high quality home-made breakfast, a friendly helpful stuff and good quality bed with a reasonable price

"Nice Hotel"

JMTSean, Rocklin, California 26/08/2017

I have stayed in this location several times, mostly rated to U of O events. The location is ideal ( across the street from the Matt and a short walk to Autzen), the rooms are nice, and the staff are consistently professional and helpful.

"Clean and comfortable "

theresa J, San Francisco, California 24/08/2017

We had a one night stay here. Pros: Breakfast was great. They had sausages and gravy for breakfast. Bed sheets were crisp and clean Bed was comfortable Front desk was nice Priced lower compared to other best westerns Cons: Parking is limited. Breakfast area is small No elevators but we needed to use the stairs anyway Would stay again

"Close to Campus"

karlw981, paso robles, United States 23/08/2017

Directly across the street from U of O and the building where our campus tour was located. Also directly across the street from university arena. Plenty of eateries close by and within walking distance. The breakfast is perfect and substantial.

"A very pleasant stay"

Alan M, Lichfield, United Kingdom 18/08/2017

We didn't pre-book this BW which we normally do as we only stayed one night instead of two at our previous BW (that's for another review). The hotel exceeded our expectation, we could not fault our overnight stay in anyway and the price of the room was excellent. Yes the vehicle parking is tight but not impossible we found a space almost right outside our room. We are UK Rewards BW Diamond Select members and have used mostly BW's on our USA 54 day road trip, Greentree Inn rates highly on our list for comfort and value for money.

"Clean facility, amazing staff"

User 16/08/2017

I was traveling with my 3 young children, and we decided we needed a rest in our extra long journey. After securing a great rate for a last minute booking, we arrived at nearly 10 o clock at night. The desk attendant was friendly, quick, and helpful. I grabbed my keys, and was off to find our room. There were 8-10 parking spots available, which would have been amazing had any of them NOT been blocked by someone double parking. So here I am, 10 o clock, 3 small kids out of their minds, and no parking anywhere near our room. I returned to the desk and asked if he had any secret clues or tricks about parking, as there weren't any spots available. I explained the double parking situation, and he apologized for the inconvenience. He moved us to a room that was closer to the available parking, and we were in our room in 2 minutes. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone!

"Comfortable and convenient"

Kelly S, Palmdale, California 14/08/2017

We were here for a quick overnight stay. I would've liked to stay a little longer to be honest. The location was perfect and directly across from the University of Oregon. We have a family of 5 so we reserved a 2 queen suite which accommodated us perfectly. We were pleasantly surprised to see it was a 2 story "room". The entry leads to a living room with a pull out sofa bed that my daughter said was comfortable. There is a full bathroom downstairs. The upstairs has a bedroom with a full size closet with 2 queen beds. There is a door to allow for privacy. Just outside the bedroom in the open area upstairs is a third queen bed. Another full sized bathroom is upstairs as well. A very comfortable and spacious stay. We loved the pool and wish we could've been there longer. It was the perfect temperature. The breakfast options were nice which included hot items such as eggs, potatoes and meat. My only reasons for not giving it a 5 out of 5, was due to the morning front desk person being rude. My husband asked for a clean ice bucket and she seemed irritated by the question and told him he could've just used the plastic bag that was provided. Yes, we will use the plastic bag, but with a clean ice bucket please. We will still use this location again in the future if we need to.

"Best Western, Eugene"

A5694FCmichaell, salem, United States 11/08/2017

Motel was comfortable and breakfast was good. bed good, shower good, clean staff adequate but not wonderful. keycards failed 5 days into stay and it was a pain in the neck to get to room then have to trudge back to office. parking not great and many spaces were too small when place was full.stayed 6 nights so experienced all the goods and bads. Another BW was 1 block away and I was told it had better parking and was comparably priced.

"Staff was uncaring"

839janicef, Eugene, United States 10/08/2017

I was stranded at the airport and when I called the hotel I was redirected to a prepaid service and later discovered they charged me $50 more then if I had just drove to the hotel and stopped in. When I talked to the front desk they could have cared less. On stayed at another hotel on the my return trip and will avoid this one when I go back.

"Great price for nice stay"

mjaenke, Portland, Oregon 03/08/2017

Free breakfast and internet, nice rooms, small balcony even. This a good price for a nice hotel room. Nothing fancy, but not low budget in any way. Great for families for the amenities and free breakfast choices!

"No customer service?"

Dwayne And Yuki D, SeaTac, Washington 03/08/2017

The check in took a long time because the front desk lady was on the phone. She saw me came in, just kept talking on the phone... In the morning of check out, I called if it's possible to do late departure, I was told they can't do it. (The first hotel ever late check out was not allowed) Another problem was on the website, it says laundry facility is abailable. But there's no laundry room on this site, you have to walk to a block or two to go to another best western hotel! Be able to do laundry was so important durning our stay because we were there for baseball tournament! Durning check out, we had same issue - there's only 1 front desk agent and she just kept answering the phone 1 after another even couple of their customers waiting to check out. She didn't even ask us "how was your stay?" She just asked "what's your room number?" And printed out the bill and handed to me without saying thank you for your stay. I understand it was busy but customer service shouldn't be like this... very disappointed stay here...

"River side with private deck"

Y2180DDmaryb, Renton, United States 03/08/2017

Private decks overlooking greenery and a river/stream are the best rooms in the hotel! Shade all day and total privacy. But bring your own lawn chairs as the hotel doesn't provide them for the decks. The bed was super comfortable and the room was very clean. The air conditioning worked great and we could control all settings to adjust to our comfort level.

"Wonderful stay in Eugene"

Karen J, Kalispell, United States 01/08/2017

Our stay here was too short but the accommodation was excellent. Quiet, comfortable, relaxing.\\ Staff was helpful and cheery. Great beds and pillows as always and a good hot breakfast. What more could you want.

"Comfy and Well Appointed"

Sandy E, Puyallup 29/07/2017

Excellent place to stay and the breakfast is one of the best! The staff is extremely helpful and efficient. We would definitely stay here again. There is a pool and a hot tub as well as a fitness center for those so inclined.

"Wont stay here again"

Chara H, Burlington, Washington 23/07/2017

This place was so dirty. The room smelled of mildew and the countertops in the bath room were filthy gross. Hair on the bath floor and in the sink. Parking is super tight and not much of it. The bed was comfortable though but thats about it. I would not recommend this hotel. Its old with an updated smelly twist.

L L, Oakland, Oregon 23/07/2017

We went up for one night, and our stay was pleasant; room quite comfortable. The young gentleman at the front desk was friendly and helpful. He welcomed us with a bright smile and gave us directions to the local market for dessert!

"Good Value"

Kaseyport236, Portland, Oregon 22/07/2017

Pros: I think you get a little better quality of products & serices at this place than other similarly priced motels around the area. It is right across the street from University of Oregon and close to everything. Friendly staffs. Good breakfast. Cons: The building is kind of old. Some rooms have bad mattress. No elevators. If you have a lot of luggage, it can be challenging. Parking slots are too tight for mid-size or larger SUVs & vans. The rooms with waterview on North side of the property get a little train noise at night.

"Nice stay for the price"

cr0ssc0untryb0und, Renton, Washington 21/07/2017

We love best western because the price of the hotel plus the complementary hot breakfast. The woman at the front desk was very welcoming and wished me a happy birthday. The rooms were clean including the bed linens which is my biggest worry when I travel. The rooms could be updated, they appeared dark looking. Nice place to stay for 1 night on the

"Good Sleep"

User 21/07/2017

We were looking for a stop to rest, have a good breakfast and get back on the road. This was exactly what we were looking for. I would suppose it would be a great spot to stay when taking a child to the University of Oregon, or in town for a football game.

"Good spot for a rest and workout"

TeknoBear, San Francisco, California 17/07/2017

Had a good nights rest in a ver spacious and quiet room. Our room overlooked the small creek in the back. We slept well and enjoyed the breakfast. The only negatives I have about the place is the limited parking and the fact they do not have elevators which makes it difficult when you have luggage and are on the 3rd floor.

"Quiet retreat"

TerryGator, Tallahassee 16/07/2017

Easy check-in, convenient to the university, quiet property. Room was comfortable and spacious. Small balcony somewhat spoiled by smokers in the area. Room had coffee station, fridge and microwave. Two bathroom sinks, one outside the actual bathroom which came in handy. Did not get to try the breakfast due to 4:00 am checkout. Was disappointed there was no fresh coffee available- pot was lukewarm at best. Really needed that perk at that time of the morning :(

"Amazing family suite!"

920aaronk, Eureka, California 13/07/2017

We are always looking for a great, comfortable place to stay with our 4 kids. This family suite was absolutely perfect for us with 2 floor levels, 2 bathrooms and 3 queen beds, including another sofa bed. Right next to the pool and away from all the other rooms. It was very quiet and private. Probably one of the top 3 places we have ever stayed as a family. Incredible, wish every motel offered a room like this one.

"Clean, comfy and quiet"

jessicamJ4170YY, Gresham, United States 13/07/2017

We stayed here for one night when we were attending the Oregon Country Fair. It was clean, comfortable and quiet. The free breakfast buffet was average/typical but still helped us out so we didn't have to go elsewhere to eat before heading to the fair. Wish we'd had time to hit the pool. Beware - parking is limited and the spaces are very narrow so people often take up more than one space. Would stay here again.

"Green tree inn"

I3638LZjimk, Placerville, California 12/07/2017

This Best Western was very clean, nice large size rooms with a fridge and Microwave. The Breakfast was superb, with a nice variety including scrambled eggs, meat selections, a pancake machine, and various other items. Very nice overall.

"Very nice"

User 12/07/2017

This is a very nice place! Indoor pool and Jacuzzi, adults only after 10 pm... Easy check in and check out. We will definitely stay here again when driving through the area! The staff was very pleasant. Good coffee in the lobby, and the room!

"Comparable to 4-star hotel"

User 07/07/2017

Guest rooms as nice as 4-star hotel and the breakfast bar is huge; staff is friendly and a few guest rooms' patios overlook a creek and some trees--great bonus. Mere blocks from freeway at edge of U. of O. campus across from arena and good Chinese food.

"Great place to stay!"

K2318FZbarbaraf, Cle Elum WA, United States 06/07/2017

Great place to stay! Quiet location for the rear building rooms with privacy. Rooms were very clean and comfortable for an older motel. Wonderful breakfast with great variety of hot foods. Caring and friendly staff. Pool was closed temporarily due to families who apparently allowed their children to trash the pool. Great hot tub! Work out room. Close to the university and we enjoyed the walking/biking trail and the pedestrian bridges across the Willamette River. Great leisurely walk to unwind after being on the road all day. Restaurants and a grocery store close by within walking distance. This will be our choice to stay in Eugene for all our future trips that route.

"Good place to rest up on the road home ..."

Harry B, Medford, Oregon 06/07/2017

One of the better Best Westerns, particularly for friendly and attentive service. Rooms were clean and air conditioned, breakfast was fresh and hot. Parking is a little tight and awkward -- but plenty of it, if you're prepared to walk.

"Too many errors"

Kathleen L, New Westminster BC, Canada 02/07/2017

We were on the second floor and the stairwell to our room was filthy. We complained but nothing changed. Worse than that, we returned to our room to find the door was open and no staff person was in sight. Anyone could have walked in! The garbage bag had been replaced but then the full one was left on the desk.

User 28/06/2017

Our room was described as an "efficiency suite". Okay, we know that "efficiency" is jargon for "small". But this wasn't really a small suite, because it wasn't really a suite, it was just an extra-large room. There is nothing wrong with an extra-large room! We liked the room for what it was, but it should have been described realistically. Although it was a nice room, the building seemed to be poorly constructed. I've been in cheap hotels before where I could hear footsteps from the person upstairs. But this was beyond anything I had experienced before. In addition to the loud sound of footsteps, the floorboards (ceiling boards from our point of view) would squeak, creak, and occasionally pop, and were astonishingly loud. It sounded like the whole thing was in danger of collapsing. Of course, the person upstairs would get up early in the morning and wake us up with all that dreadful noise. The noise of the plumbing was also problematic. Every time the person upstairs flushed the toilet, used the sink, or took a shower, we could hear it all, as loudly as if it were right in our room. Of course, through the thin walls we could also hear other people's TVs, conversations, and phone calls. There is also a railroad track nearby, with freight trains running through during the night. Most of this (except for the ceiling noise, which was hopeless) could have been alleviated by running the fan for white noise. But the AC unit in this room did not have a constant fan setting, so we couldn't do that. The fan just turned on and off automatically all night. A smaller thing was that we stayed in our room until about 11:00 am. When we opened the door we found a note from housekeeping saying that because of our do not disturb sign we didn't get housekeeping services, but could request towels from the front desk. I've known this to happen, but typically only when you stay in the room all day. At other hotels, the note will appear around 3 or 4 pm. 11:00 seems a little soon to give up. Be aware - This is a 3-story building with no elevator.

"Worth the money"

Jay B, Dillon, United States 24/06/2017

The room was very clean.,with a Great bed, the wifi was good. The hotel's location is very good if you need to be at the U of Oregon. The value here was very good, when in Eugene again I will stay here.

"Great location - near U of O"

DeeGrif57, Portland, Oregon 23/06/2017

This hotel is located right across the street from University of Oregon. They have a friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast is decent for this type of hotel. The room is clean but kind of outdated. I had trouble with the key card. Hope they fix that soon. Otherwise, it was a good stay.

"Smells bad"

155joyceb, Monterey, United States 20/06/2017

We were dismayed at the cigarette smell in the room and halls although they currently have a rule against smoking. The curtain fell down in my hand. The room was dark and stinky. There is no elevator so suitcases have to be carried up stairs. The parking spaces were cramped and tight. The check-in lady was perfectly lovely and probably the best thing about the place.

"Nice place to stay"

SunriseTraveler, Gig Harbor, Washington 11/06/2017

Stayed there on a busy day at the university and the price was inflated. I would stay at a property farther away when there are events at the university. That is why I rated the value as fair. Good place if you are attending events there.

"Perfect place to stay for UO sports events"

John N, New York 27/05/2017

With the Knight Center across the street, Hayward Field a short walk and a pleasant walk to the football stadium this is a great place to stay for UO sports events. If you like to run/walk you are real close to Pre's Trial Clean and quiet the BW Greentree is a great place to stay. Free breakfast, free wireless (speed is greatly improved from a few years ago) can't beat this place Also love that each room has a small balcony

"Great staff, clean"

Linda R, Bend, Oregon 22/05/2017

Great staff, clean, decent food. I would definitely stay here again if I was in Eugene. This hotel is literally right across the street from U of O, near food places, right down the street from Market of Choice.

"Great little hotel"

georgiap378, Santa Rosa 22/05/2017

This worked out great for us. It was clean and convenient. Directly across from the arena and the campus. We were there for Track & Field PAC 12 Championship. It was in walking distance to Hayward Field (track stadium) Would recommend and would for sure stay again if in the area.

"Close to UO and Downtown"

HB_Diva, Huntington Beach, California 20/05/2017

Excellent value for cost especially with inclusion of hot breakfast daily and local newspaper. Ample free parking and free internet. Hotel has a nice swimming pool and fitness center. Excellent mattresses. Book a room with water view for a green wooded view from the room and balcony. Very friendly and helpful staff.

"very nice"

Karon T, medford, United States 17/05/2017

We were up graded to a creekside room. The staff was very nice and accommodating. Very quiet and relaxing room. They had a good breakfast and we could bring it back to our room to enjoy. We plan to stay here on all of our trips north now.

"One Night stay"

Glen W, Port Orchard, Washington 13/05/2017

Heading north from the Sacramento area I had two issue arise. First was a head on collision on the Interstate which put me about an hour or more from my arrival time in Eugene. Next was a flat tire in the evening, about an hour from Eugene. I did not arrive until around 10pm, dead tired from the drive and stress from the incidents. I was checked in quickly. Problem was my room was on the second floor. I had to haul all my gear up the stairs, (no elevator). Luckily my room was at the top of the stairs and I parked at the bottom of the stairs so it really was not so bad. My room was a huge surprise. It was a very large room and even had a little balcony. Made me wish I had more time to relax but I only had the room for one night and needed to get home to the Seattle area. Oh yeah, the price was a surprise too. The room, out the door was $67.50 and included breakfast. The breakfast was very good. Would stay again if the need arises.

"Greentree Best Western"

marilynf629, Rancho Cordova, United States 04/05/2017

The motel was OK - the room was clean - there were no little bottles of shampoo or lotion in the room - this was a first for me at BW. The staff were very nice - the housekeeping staff were very nice as well.

"Greentree Best Western is Fabulous!"

H8510AYdeborahg, West Hollywood, California 03/05/2017

Jennifer at the Best Western Greentree Inn is fantastic! (there are two Best Westerns right near each other in Eugene) The room was clean clean clean, and safe safe safe! Don't forget to eat at Sams a couple of doors down - the food is great and the prices are great too... and they will give you a discount if you mention you stayed at Best Western! Visit Hendricks Park - it's amazing!

"Good hotel near university"

strawberry1948, Alameda, California 01/05/2017

Stayed 3 nights and would stay again. The large 2nd floor room was reasonably clean and well maintained and had a little balcony. The bed was comfortable. TV, microwave, refrigerator, and heating were in working order. WiFi worked okay. The bathroom was rather tiny, but there was a separate vanity area outside of the bathroom. Bathroom area lighting could have been a little brighter. Shower curtain had an off-smell, but it was replaced promptly on request. We did not experience any noise problems. The breakfast room was small, but there was a large variety of breakfast items (both hot & cold), which were kept well stocked and were okay for a chain hotel breakfast. The staff (desk clerks, breakfast room attendants) were very friendly & helpful. The hotel has a pool, hot tub, and exercise room, but we did not use them. For the price (less than $90/per night), this was a good place to stay.

"Early bird gets the worm"

John W, Kelowna, British Columbia 28/04/2017

Becca at the front desk was helpful in letting me check in early and I was able to use the internet and find the business which I had to contact. Then gave me a map and showed me where to go in the city

"Decent but showing its age"

bendwriter, Bend, Oregon 27/04/2017

Stayed here for two nights on a recent business trip to Eugene. Booked a room with a water view, which basically overlooks a small creek at the back of the property. The room was a decent size, on the second floor of a three floor building. No elevator. The rooms have a very small triangular-shaped balcony at the rear, enough to step out on, but no chairs or anything. Due to its shape, the thru-wall heat/AC unit from the room next door sticks into your balcony, so whenever it comes on, you hear it on your balcony. Worse yet, yours sticks out on the balcony next door, so what goes on on that balcony filters straight into your room. The guy in the room next door came out and was talking loudly on his cell phone - why is everyone LOUD on cell phones - and I literally heard his entire conversation in our room. You also hear noise from the corridors outside, and from people walking around in the room above. The room was clean. Two queen beds, micro, small fridge that froze everything we put in it. Beds were very soft. Bathroom was basic, the door stuck, it looked like it had been painted about 15 times. Shampoo but no conditioner. Coffee pot with regular coffee but no decaf. Everything looked a little tired and worn around the edges. Small breakfast room with a continental breakfast, including scrambled eggs, potatoes, and sausages. They have an automatic pancake machine that's fun but the pancakes aren't very good. The woman working the breakfast area was super friendly, and really trying hard to keep everything clean and stocked. Location is great for UofO, and convenient to restaurants and downtown. All the staff we dealt with were really friendly. Our rate with AAA discount was under $80 per night, including breakfast for two, so it's really a bargain. It's a place I can recommend for people on a budget, with friendly service and a clean room, but don't expect super luxury.

"Pretty good!"

veggienugget, Gig Harbor, Washington 13/04/2017

This hotel was pretty great! The staff was friendly and the room was clean. There was a decent amount of options for breakfast including biscuits and gravy, potatoes, and fruit. Best Westerns rarely disappoint!

"Economical and comfortable"

User 12/04/2017

The location was great and just a short walk to the Riverfront Trail along the Willamette River. Pleasant, helpful staff and a comfortable room made this hotel s great option for us.. The internet worked well. We would stay again!

"Great room"

Lucygucy545, Klamath Falls, Oregon 08/04/2017

The hotel is very nice. It is in a great location. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the river, very quiet and peaceful. It is across fro U of O so close to downtown but really very centrally located.

"Can't go wrong with BW"

User 04/04/2017

They are the "Denny's" of Hotels - you can always expect a good nights sleep in a good room for a good price. Also being a Rewards Member, I get free upgrades & I signed up for the $10 gift card...all-in-all, it was a win-win stay!

"A refresher view--still a good choice"

TriRidge, Issaquah, Washington 30/03/2017

We've stayed here a number of times in past years. This spring--twice. Overall, the room is large, comfortable, and well-equipped. There are a little frig, microwave, coffee-maker. Two easy chairs with a lamp & table in between, a desk & chair. Comfortable king bed & lots of pillows. It's relatively quiet in the back away from the busy street. There's an effective heater for cool nights and a slider if it's too warm. They allow dogs. The breakfast has been improved since we were last here--hot items as well as continental. There was an attentive staff person in the breakfast area. Desk staff are pleasant and courteous.

"Perfect Stay"

SoCalC8, Ontario, California 21/03/2017

No issues with my stay here at all. We were coming in from Corvallis and we arrived early in the morning, and they had a room ready for us - I was thrilled. Hotel is right across the street from UofO campus, so walking around is not an issue. Breakfast was decent - loved the pancake machine!

"What we needed for the night"

Katie O, Vancouver, Canada 27/11/2016

Stayed here after out 14 hour drive from the south, so appreciated the late check-in (10pm), and late hot tub hours! Pretty decent continental brekky, providing cereal, pancakes, muffins, coffee. Room was okay, nothing special. Bathroom is very tiny! Free wifi. Friendly staff. Right across from the University of Oregon, a nice area to walk around from the hotel.

"Nice getaway!"

Brittany P, grants pass, United States 21/11/2016

We ended up going on a last minute vacation and stayed here, It was a very nice stay. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was clean. We also received a free upgrade that was awesome! We've stayed her twice nice!

"Thank heavens"

User 15/11/2016

We stopped by our usual first choice pet friendly hotel, were quoted a $75 pet deposit plus a room rate twice what was shown on line. Never mind! 2 miles up the road, we found this hotel. Great price, perfectly appointed for road weary travellers. Front desk fellow was great

"Central Oregon stay"

Charles V, Yelm, United States 28/10/2016

We selected the wrong phone number while traveling and booked a night in the wrong town. By the time we discovered our error, it was very late and we had to pay a small premium. The facilities were clean and the staff was helpful and understanding. The only problem was that rain collected under our car and I got my feet wet loading the next morning.

"We will stay there again!"

Candy M, airway heights, United States 26/10/2016

The Best Western Greentree Inn was a very positive experience on the last night on the road for vacation. We arrived in Eugene at one in the afternoon for a four pm check in. The front desk clerk graciously found us a clean room so we could unload the car and take my wife shopping at the mall which she greatly appreciated. The room was very quiet and the bed was extremely comfortable. We were both happy campers!

"Very convenient to U of O"

dkudu, Jackson Hole, WY 19/10/2016

This motel is right across the street from the U of O and the basketball arena. It is also convenient to many places in Eugene. This is our second visit. The motel does not have an elevator, but there are rooms on the ground floor if this is an issue. The breakfast at this Best Western is very good. It may sound strange, but we like oatmeal and this was scratch made oatmeal (NOT microwave stuff) that was excellent--hard to find in any motel. The eggs and sausages were also good. This is one of the few BW breakfasts that we like. The rooms are very nice--we like the ones by the Mill Race--quiet

"Gets the job done"

User 16/10/2016

Convenient to the university and a good pizza place, this hotel has what you need at a good price. Rooms are clean and the bed is comfortable. I also enjoyed being able to use the walking trails by the river.

"Eugene Greentree Getaway"

Jacqsouza, Calabasas, California 28/09/2016

Everything was wonderful at the hotel and I highly recommend it. From the clean rooms, to just the right amount of amenities, to an outstanding continental breakfast to the great Staff. You will enjoy your stay at Greentree Best Western.

"Perfect choice"

shop99er, Tacoma, Washington 27/09/2016

On our way to Sacramento, and decided to stop here on the first night. We were both exhausted after only getting 5 hours' sleep in the last 36, so I asked the desk clerk, Becca for the quietest room in the place. Boy did she come through! The only thing we heard were the frogs in the river when we had the door open. Thank you, Becca!! Now, on to the room: Basically, the room was as good as we could have possibly asked for. It was clean, and smelled clean. Chairs were comfortable, Wi-Fi was great, you get the idea. Slept like logs for 10 hours, and woke up feeling human again. Had a good breakfast, and hit the road. Next time we're in Eugene, this is where we'll be staying.

"Great place for the price with great staff"

LorrieJones, Steilacoom, WA USA 24/09/2016

I stay at the Greentree every year and I like it very much. Cleanliness needs a bit of improvement but I feel safe and cared for. Great Staff!! Plenty of parking but not enough for handicapped. All in all, I recommend this hotel and be sure to ask for Jennifer at the front desk: she's great.

"Very convenient to U of O"

Charlotte D, Los Angeles, United States 22/09/2016

Convenient and economical. Many motel/hotels on Franklin and this Best Western was fine choice. Walking distance to many restaurants and across the street for campus. Rooms clean and some amenities available although I did not use pool, jacuzzi or small gym.

Kathy L, Sparks, United States 18/09/2016

It is right across the street from u of O so I wasn't to sure of the neighborhood but felt very safe at the hotel and staff was very nice. Bed was great. Be sure to ask about the disposable swim suits. I will definetly recommend this to others.

""They can raise the rates and do what they want""

Teubie, Eugene, Oregon 14/09/2016

Yep, that's right. Per three calls to the HQ; they don't care. Watch for high rates as the manager will close rooms to Expedia and others and raise the rates. Everyone sent to New Oregon Motel. General manager is unprofessional, will lie to you so get everything in writing regarding price or refunds. Not sure if he is saving rooms for his buddies and making you pay the difference but be they don't care and it shows. So go be a sucker if you don't want them to go above or beyond and you line being manipulated.

"perfect location"

dmc52, San Francisco, California 13/09/2016

A room overlooking the creek is quiet. We stay here often and have never been bothered by other guest noise. Great location for walking on the trail, getting on campus or accessing downtown. Good breakfast buffet. Room was not what I had reserved and they immediately corrected the error

"Great Hotel"

DannyWasserman, Virginia Beach, Virginia 09/09/2016

We were traveling from San Fran to Seattle and needed a great place to stop along our way and we picked the city of Eugene, Oregon. This motel was very accommodating and right along our passage along Interstate 5. We would highly recommend this place and the breakfast was free and plentiful.

"Last Minute Stay"

Cheryl T, Ruidoso, United States 05/09/2016

I booked this hotel the same day we needed the room through Southwest Airlines and it was the right choice. I was traveling with my son and 2yr old grandson who was stuck in a car for 2 hours, when we arrived the lady at the desk was very friendly and quick to check us in. The breakfast was good and had many items to choose from. My Grandson is a yogurt & fruit fan and there was good choices. I would stay here again.

"College move in "

User 29/08/2016

Drove to Eugene from Southern California to move daughter into NCU. Hotel was super close and convenient to everything. Drug store which sold everything you need for the dorm was right there. The actual hotel was dark and a bit old. But clean and friendly staff. Beds were fine. I wanted to sit on balcony after dropping her off but no furniture outside. Inexpensive spot to stay if visiting the university district of Eugene.

"stingy management"

portlandmaxandco, Portland 18/08/2016

We stayed for one night, and wanted to buy an extra half day so we could check out at 3 pm because of a sports event we were participating in. The manager Jen told us that she would sell us an extra half a day but we had to check out at 2 pm. There were only a few guests in the hotel - very very slow as the night manager said. I travel a lot for work. Any other hotel would have just given us the extra check out, but charging for half a day till 2 pm in an empty hotel. Not only were they stingy, but the complete lack of empathy and friendliness in that process lead us to cancel a second reservation that we had made there for later in the week. We won't stay there again.

"Great hotel!"

User 18/08/2016

Staying at the Best Western Greentree was certainly a pleasant experience. Checking in was easy and the staff was very helpful and personable. Our room was spotless and updated and we had a lovely balcony overlooking the creek. Looking out the window, all we could see were trees. So nice. The room was very quiet and my son and I both enjoyed a peaceful sleep. Breakfast was good the biscuits and gravy.

"dream on"

Rosa B, Oakland, California 15/08/2016

Surprised that I had a veranda and brook with happy geese. Large room. The bed was great. I slept like a top. Everything was close by if you want to go out, Staff was helpful with maps and directions which was great. Got two rooms. Security question when entering my room could be viewed from outside - suggest covering hall windows.

"Very nice"

gottaregatta, Indianapolis, Indiana 10/08/2016

I enjoyed the Green Tree Inn. It was very convenient to the Oregon Arena, Hayward Field, restaurants and campus and bus stop to downtown, very walkable to all. I only paid $21 total (after $100 in gift cards). I had a secluded room on the 2nd floor on the first Tuesday in August. I had trouble at first getting into the room and building because my keys kept flashing red instead of green. After a while the receptionist Casey re-programmed and she/he (sorry but I honestly couldn't tell) said it probably was because I put my key cards in my pocket with my phone and it distorted. Parking was not a problem because I kept the car parked all night. Pool and hot tub were open until midnight and you can see the arena from the pool, and there was no crowd there. It is right next to the Track Town Pizza. If I get to Eugene again I will stay at the Green Tree.

JustGoForItPals, Glide, Or 08/08/2016

When doing anything in Eugene, this Best Western is across from the Matt Knight Arena and close to downtown. Very easy to get to and to get around. It was also very quiet considering it's on a main street. In the morning (Sunday), I couldn't see a moving vehicle for quite some time.

"Wouldn't Recommend to My Worst Enemy"

LuvToCruise4001, El Dorado Hills, California 05/08/2016

Had selected this particular hotel for convenience. My wife and I were traveling from the Sacramento, CA area to Seattle, Washington. Eugene, Oregon was decided as a rest point during our drive - wish we had either stopped earlier or traveled further after spending a whole week in this hotel in just over 6 hours! Exterior appearance should have been a "Red Flag" but having made the reservation it was decided that one night couldn't be all that bad. We were wrong! Entering the guest room we immediately noticed a musty odor and found some the the lights were not working. Opening the sliding door to the outside was not an option due to road noise. Avoid this property unless it is your only option!

"Great location"

User 30/07/2016

Clean, comfortable beds. Enjoyed the pool. Friendly staff. Close proximity to U of O and good food. Recommend the Elk Horn Brewery and Sweet Life for desserts. Parking is tight but the lot is well monitored.

"Unpleasant experience"

Sergio M, Padua, Italy 29/07/2016

There are two negative aspects to note about some of the stuff and about room quality. We tried to check in early since we have a long-term reward membership but the receptionist said the rooms were not ready and to come back at 4 PM but we checked with the cleaning stuff and found that our room was indeed ready long before 4 PM. What we feel as most distasteful is that Jen, the receptionist, dismissed us with a smirk. We stressed we were members that could check in early. The general manager, Adam Nunez, very rudely shut us off and reiterated that our room was not ready (which as just said was not true). Adam was even more arrogant than Jen. We were appalled at such rude behavior. We left and came back after 4 PM. What a way to treat good clients. For the price, the hotel is decent. The room we had had a balcony with a view to a creek. Soon after we were in our room we found that the air conditioning unit of the next door room was on our balcony blowing hot air all the afternoon and all night long! We will never go to this hotel again!

"Outstanding staff"

cschindler2016, Lynnwood, Washington 29/07/2016

Every staff member that I had conversation with was outstanding from the General Manager to housekeeping. Check-in was very smooth. The hotel is kind of old school (no elevator or luggage carts) but the rooms are great. Balcony overlooking a creek. Right across the street from the University of Oregon.

"Good Room, Hot Hallway, Limited Breakfast"

R5525MLmikel, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 25/07/2016

Our room was on the third floor (2 Queen beds with balcony). PROS: The beds were comfortable, AC worked well, room was quiet, WIFI worked. CONS: No elevators, the third floor hallway was extremely hot (because the security doors at either end had to remain closed because they led directly to outside stairwell), and the breakfast was the most limited of our entire two week trip. We ended up going down the street to McDonald's for breakfast. I would stay again as long as the price was right as the most important thing is the quality and comfort of the room.

"3 Floors no elevators!"

dancingsoccermom, Mountain Home, Idaho 21/07/2016

So I'll start with the good. Beds extremely comfortable, pillows very nice and room clean. Directly across the street from college. Bad NO ELEVATORS OR ASSISTANCE! If you are traveling with a ton of stuff think twice about this hotel. Second problem great parking if they monitored it. 40% compact, no trailer or uhaul spaces, balance regular spaces, problem regular spaces filled with compact cars, then regular cars taking multiple spaces to fit in compact space. Biggest issue it has that old smell??

"Stayed for a Concert"

moorea4411, Bend, Oregon 17/07/2016

We had a James Taylor concert at the Matthew Knight arena. This hotel was almost right across the street! The staff was very courteous and the room was very clean and comfortable. There are 3 floors so just be aware there is no elevator. It wasn't a problem for us.

"Great stay and clean rooms."

Joseph M, Old Bridge, United States 12/07/2016

If you are looking to go to Hayward field or the arena this location can't be beat! Nice staff ,clean rooms, and best location. Breakfast did not have a big selection but what was there was good. Price was high due to the Olympic trials and forced to pay for 10 days other than that very good,

"Good room stay "

KarinH5, Oakland, California 06/07/2016

Cons: ° 2nd & 3rd floor rooms have stairs to access (NO elevator!) ° Housekeeping started knocking on door at 8am wanting to clean room when we were still asleep. Pros: ° Good location for UofO across the street. ° Rooms have been updated & remodeled since our last visit a few years back. Comfy bed & chairs in room ° Desk & ergo chair, too. ° Coffee maker & fridge in room. ° Helpful staff

"Great place to stay"

Katebw, Tadley, United Kingdom 28/06/2016

We came across this hotel when we were looking for a place to stop overnight on our long journey from Seattle to Yosemite. Thankfully they had a vacancy. We were allocated a large king size bedroom and had a fridge, microwave and all usual amenities that we neede. It was more than adequate and clean. It was good value and the staff were professional and friendly.

"Perfectly located for U of O graduation!"

Ann M, SAN FRANCISCO 17/06/2016

The location is perfect for U of O graduation, could walk to ceremony. The rooms were clean and employees professional and friendly. But, I think it is time for a overhaul on room decor. We didn't spend much time in the room, but found the room a bit small for two queen sized beds. Shower-head had an ample water flow pressure, but needs to be changed to change the actual water spray.

"Great staff"

Linda M, San Francisco, United States 16/06/2016

Stayed at this Best Western during extremely busy graduation season. It is a motel, not luxurious but clean and comfortable. It is very convenient to the University of Oregon and waling distance to anything on campus. The staff, however, is excellent. Very helpful, particularly when we had a problem late in the evening with the plumbing, and unfailing cheerful.

"Good value convenient to the University"

User 01/06/2016

Room was very clean and beds were quite comfortable. The hotel is literally across the street from the University. Adequate breakfast included with the room rate. We were on the 3rd floor, so no elevator and we had to carry our luggage up three flights of stairs. Covered parking available.

"lodging by U of O"

Lyle D, Gold Beach, United States 22/05/2016

Nice comfy motel property. Great beds with a quiet back off the road location. Good restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast is a good selection of light food. walking distance of U of O Campus and most of the athletic facilities.

User 14/05/2016

I've stayed here a few times and it is always clean, the staff is wonderful, there is a variety of restaurants within walking distance, and the price is very reasonable. If you are going to an event at Autzen stadium there is a lighted path directly there. It is just across the street from Matthew Knight Arena also. Very convenient location.

"Convenient Location to UO"

Patricia B, medford, United States 10/05/2016

A nice hotel to stay at while visiting the university. Clean and met all my needs. It was easy to get out and about from this location. There were many choices of restaurants and activities in the area.

"Convenient to campus"

User 09/05/2016

If you are visiting someone in the UofO dorms, this is a great location. There are also several restaurants in walking distance, so again very convenient. The rooms are standard motel-type rooms, nothing fancy, but very clean and comfortable. Note that access to 2nd and 3rd floor rooms is by stairs only. Both front desk agents that I interacted with were professional, friendly and helpful. The pool looked clean and inviting and the indoor hot tub also looked nice-- I did not think to bring a bathing suit, but will next time!

"Nice stay."

David H, Yorba Linda, California 06/05/2016

Great location in Eugene if you're here for. U.of O. events. Room is clean. Bed very comfortable. Breakfast is free but nothing special. The usual continental faire. Odd placement of toilet holder of all things. It would be out of reach for children or someone with very short arms. Staff is pleasant and helpful. Be sure to check out the local Voodoo Donut shop and The Fish Market!

"Eugene Marathon stay"

User 02/05/2016

I stayed at this hotel for the Eugene Marathon. All other hotels were offering late checkout, except for this hotel. I asked a couple of times if I could have late checkout prior to checking in and at check in. I was told by the front desk that I would need to call in the morning to arrange late checkout. When I called at 5am, the morning of the race, I was told that there was a policy to have no late checkouts due to the marathon. I have never received that kind of treatment from a hotel the day of a marathon. I will certainly never stay here again, nor will I recommend any of my fellow runners to stay here.

"Great Ducks Location"

Bruce B, Klamath Falls, Oregon 01/05/2016

Nice place, VERY convenient to the University of Oregon, reasonably priced. Walking distance to food, to the University, to the football stadium, to Autzen stadium, the baseball field. All around a perfect place to stay in Eugene.

"Nice accommodations."

David H, Yorba Linda, California 25/04/2016

Nice room. Strange location for toilet paper dispenser; would be difficult for a child to reach. The usual breakfast faire. Clean and adequate. Pool and spa available but pool was not heated. Not a good thing in Eugene. Was here for U. of Oregan business. Great location for that. Amtrak runs close by.

"Clean, quiet, and convenient and nearby dog walking."

daurelc, Jacksonville, Oregon, USA 11/04/2016

Top notch accommodation and, even though the inn is located on a busy street across from UO, nearby I found nice walking areas. There are several restaurants nearby and the grocery store across the street has an extensive deli and eating area for casual meals.

"Tracktown hotel with it all"

Robert C, Minneapolis, Minnesota 05/04/2016

Clean and quiet rooms. The king bed was REALLY comfortable and the morning sun on the balcony was a plus. Small outdoor pool and hot tub too. Continental breakfast was just right and included biscuits and gravy (my favorite). Sam's sports bar is right next door for a night cap if you want. Will be returning on our next trip to Eugene.

"This was a great stay"

Cassandra S, corona, United States 27/03/2016

The room was large, good amount of towels, was nice and cool and got warm quickly at night. Breakfast was really good, many options, wish the pancakes were available when we came down to eat and the biscuits had been warm. But overall great layout and they used real utensils and plates both at breakfast and in the room. Used to paper everything. The staff was nice, and quick for check in and at breakfast.

"Awesome stay"

Tim M, United States 27/03/2016

The room was very clean and welcoming. Staff was kind and friendly and also very helpful with directions for places around town. I would highly recommend this hotel have stay several times and my family have always had a great stay. To anyone on a budget and looking for a safe clean hotel this is it.

Eugene B, Sunnyvale, United States 23/03/2016

Very good value. Friendly and helpful staff. Close to major interstate highway and a variety of restaurants.. I would recommend staying at this motel for anyone traveling through or staying in Eugene, Oregon.

"Nice accomodations"

greenie8977, Bend, Oregon 21/03/2016

Heads up. There are two Best Westerns on the same street only half a block or so from one another. To be honest, we ended up here by accident as we had read about the other online but pulled into the first Best Western we saw. Clean rooms, the building is a little dated but the interior is nice. Mediocre coffee. The highlight of the breakfast buffet was that there was gluten free oatmeal options. We have not encountered that much in the past and appreciate the effort to accommodate the food limitations by some in our family.

"Quality Stay"

User 16/03/2016

I have been to several Best Western hotels this week and this one meets my expectations. Hotel is across from the Oregon University. Rooms are clean, staff was polite and helpful. I would stay here again for sure. And to top it off the price is right.

User 16/03/2016

The noise that woke me up, which I'm certain was hotel staff, and the wifi going down. Reliable Wifi should be as standard as toilet paper in 2016. This is also the first time I was made aware that I had to submit my Best Western rewards number in order to receive the rewards. Totally inconvenient. I now realize I haven't received rewards for multiple stays at Best Western, which is one of the primary reasons I was staying there. I would assume the account would pull by name or number when I checked it. This is totally inefficient.

"A very comfortable stay"

AdventurousTraveler6, Laramie, Wyoming 06/03/2016

Although the structure itself is an older property, the rooms are spacious and tastefully appointed, with comfortable beds and pillows, and quiet. Close to the University of Oregon. Comes with a continental breakfast plus pancake assembly-line machine. Overall, a solid value. The only two issues were that the exterior door seemed to have problems with card keys, and steam from the shower sometimes made the fire alarm chirp. A great stay in all other respects.

"Clean and friendly"

Brodie1232104, Goderich, Canada 20/02/2016

Our stays at the Best Western hotels on our business trip were all clean and friendly. We were not disappointed. We would use Best Western Hotels again! Each one was a little different experience. We don't travel very often but if we would choose another venture, we would use Best Western again.

"Great Stay"

Lizfish97470, Roseburg, Oregon 16/02/2016

Another wonderful stay at Best Western. Quiet and comfortable, love the bed. We try to always stay with Best Western when we travel they welcome our pups! This hotel is close to restaurants within walking distance and University of Oregon is right across the street.

"Reliable Best Western"

BandPD, Milwaukie, Oregon 15/02/2016

Can count on Best Western for a good place to stay, and the Greentree is no exception. Room (206) was good size, very clean and well appointed. Bed was comfortable. Tub shower. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Good location for getting to many places. Plenty of parking but can be a little tough when Inn is sold out. Breakfast was good. Have to use stairs to get to room on upper floors.

"Another lovely stay in a Best Western"

User 08/02/2016

From beginning to end the experience was excellent. The staff were warm and hospitable, The room was lovely, every thing worked. The bed was comfortable. I dont think I have ever had a bad sleep in a Best Western Hotel!!! Consistency !!!! Thank you

"Great location"

User 01/02/2016

Stayed for the MLK long weekend. Daughter had a volleyball tournament at Univ of Oregon. The facilities are what you would expect from a mid range hotel. Comfortable but not luxurious. But the location is perfect. It's across the street from The Knight Arena, Prefontaine's running trail is just behind it, and next to a great Korean BBQ restaurant.

"Nice remodel"

DAG338, Redding, California 01/02/2016

Very, very clean, entire hotel. Friendly staff and updated rooms with upscale granite. Comfortable bed. Right across from the Ducks stadium and good walking distance to the River trails and restaurants.

"What a night"

Eileen P, Medford, United States 25/01/2016

We have been going up to Eugene, OR to watch the Ducks, GO DUCKS! play basketball for the past 10 years and each time we try (unless booked already) to stay at the Green Tree Inn. The Customer Service and amenities are always Superior there and would recommend them highly. Rooms are clean suit us perfectly. One of the best points of the Greentree is the easy access to the Ducks game and to food after the game. No place like Greentree Inn for us!

"smely room"

Margaret Beatri P, vancouver, Canada 19/01/2016

when you enter the hotel on the ground floor where room 109 was there was this horrible smell of dirt and mold, the same was in the room and bathroom and the closet. We had the balcony door open all the time.

"Family Trip"

Tim M, United States 15/01/2016

Awesome place to stay! The customer service wasreally good. We stayed in the one and only suite and it was just perfect for my family. We all had plenty of room to spread out. The breakfast was very nice with plenty to choose from. Just wish there was srambled eggs and bacon or sausage to choose from. Over all great value.

"The great recommended scenic drive"

Joan D, Las Vegas, United States 08/01/2016

We had not traveled this area before and the staff The rain had made all the surrounding plants and grass very green and great to see; as our desert is mostly brown. The trees were also a wonder and we took lots of photos for our friends and family. The experience was especially great. Staff also recommended a great restaurant the night before, that served much from area grown vegetables and fruits. The service station that was recommended also had great service.

"Football Fun"

JulesinRHE, Rolling Hills Estates, California 27/11/2015

Stayed at the Greentree, across the street for the University of Oregon and walking distance to the famous Autzen Stadium. A perfect stay! Quiet, clean and close to everything we needed. Will go back again for certain.

"USC/Oregon game"

Dorothy K, Los Angeles, California 23/11/2015

We enjoyed staying at the Greentree Inn in Eugene, OR. It was centrally located to the Stadium and the University of Oregon which was the reason for the visit. We were with friends from Chicago and Orange County, CA and we all enjoyed our visit.

"Greetree Inn"

carlandkarl, Yachats, Oregon 19/11/2015

I have stayed at the Greentree Inn for many years. I always get a Mill Race view unit and have always been very satisfied. Quiet and comfortable. We stay in a pet room with our small dog. The room is order free and in perfect condition.

"It is the LOCATION"

larkinjl, Medford, Oregon 15/11/2015

Wished we had known about this when we went to see Elton John and the Eagles. Right across the street from the Matthew Knight Area. Makes it very convenient. No parking problem, decent food nearby. Just right.

"Just Okay but nice bed"

Tcab13, Los Angeles, California 09/11/2015

Hotel staff was nice and location was great. The hotel room was clean, but it smelled stuffy and like mildew and then disinfectant to cover it up. It was a lower level room below ground and I believe that had something to do with it. But, on the plus side the bed was very comfortable.

"Convenient and Clean"

Kacy K, Eugene, United States 25/10/2015

Very conveniently located right across from the U of O campus. Very easy to find and the rooms are very clean. Nothing over-the-top special but if you are looking for an inexpensive, clean room this is for you!

"Too many dogs! Internet very poor"

Pierce L, Saratoga Ca., United States 24/10/2015

Dogs barked in the hallways all night as their owners came in and out. Could not get the internet to work at all even though my computer internet connection worked just fine at a best western in Hillsboro Or. the following night.

"Hafa Adai from Oregon"

Peter A, Hagatna, Guam 20/10/2015

This hotel is ideal when visiting the University of Oregon. It is near the campus and is safe to walk around. The restaurants and grocery stores are great. It is easy to find of the freeway. I recommend it to my fellow Guamanians.

"Pretty Good"

C2H5OHFresno_CA, Fresno, CA 19/10/2015

This is about the minimum of what I expect from a Best Western. There were no surprises and no problems. The Pizza place (almost next door) is very good. There is another Best Western within 100 yards (next door?). I've also stayed at that other property and I like it better. It's a little more expensive so if your trying to save a buck this property is fine. This property has nice balconies and people do use them. People were well behaved but it does create SOME noise (not bad at all for a University campus).

"Decent hotel."

dweedin, Poulsbo, Washington 08/10/2015

It's a typical Best Western. Right across the street from the University of Oregon, it's clean, but dated. Nothing bad to report, but nothing extraordinary. Free breakfast was adequate. Rooms clean. Fitness center pedestrian. Location works and getting 15% discount at Sam's on Franklin sports bar was probably the best thing. If you're looking for upscale, this isn't it. If you're looking for decent with good location, it will work.

"Great location"

User 01/10/2015

This hotel was in the perfect location for the purpose of our trip, which was to settle my daughter into her dorm for her freshman year of college at the University of Oregon. Walking distance to the university, and a really awesome restaurant next door. Lots of free parking. Free breakfast. Microwave and refrigerator in the room. Very convenient.

"Friendly great service"

Susan M, Portland, United States 30/09/2015

This establishment was a clean, standard, and conveniently located hotel but what makes it stand out is the exceptional service. Although I could not check in early they were very gracious to let me park in the lot anyway so I could make my meeting with no problems.

"Dated for the price"

Alan95696, Vacaville, California 28/09/2015

This hotel is OK to stay at, especially if you are staying for the purpose of visiting the University of Oregon. It is directly across the street from the school, literally 50 feet away from the Mathew Knight Arena. That being said, the hotel is dated in appearance which is not in line with the pricing. I suspect its location is what allows them to charge this much. The staff is friendly and the lady in charge of breakfast is wonderful.

"Nice greeting"

lady58_11, Seattle, Washington 22/09/2015

After traveling for 7hrs and beginning to feel a sinus problem coming on, it was nice to be treated by Macy(?). She was friendly and professional. Our room was small and according to my travel mates "we can smell mold". The room needed to be updated. It was quite and our check out was easy. Jen at the front desk made it easy and friendly.

"Mold and mildew haven"

annatara, Yuba City, California 14/09/2015

This place smelled so badly my family and I could hardly stand it. The smell was a mixture of mold and mildew, animal, smoke and stinky air freshener. I had advised I wanted to pay cash instead of charge my credit card but they went a head and charged the room. Staff was not friendly and welcoming. The air conditioner did not work and we were extremely hot all night.
