Best Western Cedar Park Inn

Not sure where to start with this review. This is not a hotel up to BW standards. Rooms are dated, noisy, caters to large group gatherings and in poor repair. The staff is trying hard to satisfy customers but the management is very poor and absent. Check-in took over an hour (huge crowds) while we watched children throw lobby furniture cushions around on the ground, small dogs defecating in lobby area and not a security officer in sight. A broken elevator created lengthy delays. It was not repaired during the time we spent on the property. Unfortunately, during our first night we experienced a broken toilet, broken thermostat which caused the room to be at a constant 26 C and neighbouring room guests that carried on until 3 am. Complimentary breakfast was an utter disaster as well. There were too many guests ordering free “takeout” which was baffling. Staff seemed to cater to the takeout guests leaving everyone else to either leave without breakfast or wait endlessly for a substandard meal. The only positive was Alecia (reception) who tried to address our concerns about the quality of our room and moved us to a quieter location with functioning amenities. The heat was still an issue though. She was the only staff member who went over and above in the name of customer service. We will never stay here again. Such a disappointment!

my vehicle was parked in front of the building, and a huge ice chunk fell from the side of the building landing on my vehicle's windshield and denting my hood very badly. When I told the front desk, they told me that I couldn't even talk to a manager, there was nothing they could do, it's not their problem, etc. This large ice chunk would have killed a person had it hit a person instead of my vehicle. I even asked them to warn others not to park there, and they didn't even do that. There is still ice there with the potential to fall, and they do not care. This is extremely dangerous. This is not some random parking lot incident, this is entirely the fault of the hotels lack of maintenance. They told me to email them and they would get back to me, and nobody has. i guess they do not care about the people that stay at their hotels.

Don't go in a hurry for check in, and maybe bring your own breakfast if you want more than one choice. The room was very dry but, we just put a wet towel over the register for moisture. I don't have anything much more to add.

This hotel has been in business for many years. First time trying it. Hotel staff excellent. Very helpful and pleasant. However advertised that breakfast was included. No restuarant for lunch/dinner. Breakfast continental which is OK. But breakfast was the worst ever. Not enough coffee. Only toast and muffins. Compared to Hampton/Super 8: not prepared for customers. Very congested. On Saturaday we had yogurt. Sunday none. Cannot get to toaster to make toast. Pancake machine not working.

Very hot in the rooms,cant open windows, small bath towels and not enough shampoos and conditioner for 3 people. We won't stay in this hotel again. The hotel staff have done nothing to regulate the temperature in the room, everything we got was "sorry " and smile

we were in town on a family long weekend and used best western for our stay it was close to everything and very easy to get to and all the different entrances to the property made it very convenient to get in off the street from any side the front desk host and the staff all around were awesome we very much enjoyed our time here!

I stayed at Best Western Cedar Park, and unfortunately, my business partners experience was marred by rude staff behavior (Ashla Front desk assigned in Breakfast)To my disbelief, a staff member even threw an egg in our private space. This unprofessional conduct left a lasting negative impression, overshadowing any positive aspects of our stay. I hope the management addresses these issues for the comfort and satisfaction of future guests.

What happend just now in best western gateway cedar park The employee ASHLA or ashley who work as a front desk and also assigned in the breakfast area treated as so badly.. our stayed there was good because the room i would say its clean, so our night was ok until we encountered ASHLA at the restaurant where we can get complimentary breakfast..we went down 9.40am when we went there , there still one person taking his breakfast and we ask this lady ASHLA nicely if we can still get some egg same with the other guy , since the food was still there,, instead of throwing it away,, but he yelled at us in front of the guy who by that time was not even finished getting his coffee,, even shocked and looked at us that she yelled at us… she insulted us as soon that she get my friend plate and put it in the garbage…we came in this hotel paid whatever we have to pay and got treated just like that in the morning… thats ridiculous …. No customer service at all,, she should get train again before she go back to work as front desk… IM sorry but her attitude is not for work she is right now….

Live bedbugs in the room. Won went to get into bed and found it crawling in his bed. Actual Bedbug was given to front desk. Was told managers would call in a few days as they weren't in. Week later and no call. No reaponse. When asked for corporate number was told to go look it up myself. Huge inconvenience now to make sure we don't bring them back into our house.

Had to stay overnight due to a medical appointment. Everything was handled very professionally from the staff. Great place, clean and good bang for your buck! Great breakfast, taste, quality and amount available was superb

All the Common areas, our room and elevator were clean, breakfast had a nice variety and tasted good, the staff were friendly, Room was nice and updated. Bathroom was well light and clean Pool was small

Right from check-in it wasn't great. Visiting my daughter whos attending University here. The hotel part was supposed to be simple. Diamond member, should simple. The young girl on check-in was rude and sarcastic. I called her on it and she realized she messed up and brought me a water. So I used points for the first night but had to return the next day to book another night. There was a bit of heated argument over the room and the cost. After finally getting the room booked i got an alert on my CC that there has been a duplicate charge. I went to the desk to ask what happened. Oh, sorry we made a mistake. So now I have 3 security deposit charges and another night charge. Not their problem is what I got. I called the main office to inquire what happened. She to was not helpful whatsoever and when I said please escalate this to a complaint, she said that would be me, is there anything else. I started laughing and hung up. Customer service has gotten so bad.

Amazing front desk staff. Room was clean and bed was lovely, as well as the linens. Great pillowtop mattress. Great location and easy access for both north & south corridors in and out of the city. My go to hotel in Edmonton.

The best place to stay, rooms are always fresh and clean!! Beds are so comfortable … staff is very polite, courteous and efficient as always!! Anna is front desk and she's very polite and effient and polite !! Robin bajwa is manager any issues deal with her , she'll make your stay more comfortable!! She's the best for management !! And cares about issues nd resolves them or gives options !! Love this hotel and I'll always go back there!!!

Your room won't be ready when you check in at 6pm and then wait another hour and it still won't be ready. Be ready to be pushed out of the way when your trying to get food in the more. Just so she can clean and be has grumpy as ever

It is the most horrible hotel in my life. We spend night there, after that small traces of insect bites appeared on my skin. later the doctor confirmed that. it was bed bug bites. Bungle work of managers. That's why I am do not recommend this hotel to anyone!!!!

I am disappointed with my stay at this hotel despite the fact I am a loyal customer with Best Western chain, having stayed in their hotels in Europe over the last two years (Paris, Lyon, Nice, Milan and Room). No earlier check in was available even though I arrived at 3 pm as an elite member. Heating was not available and I had to put on two fleeces and ordered extra blanket. Front desk staff treated me as a transaction to make rather than a customer to serve. No temporary luggage storage was not available. I was told to put my luggage on the side but no security was guaranteed as the front desk staff said that she would leave her desk from time to time.

Best hotel always!!!! Staff polite. Robin bajwa is the best operations manager ever!!! If you are not satisfied talk to-robin or talk to alycia that works front desk. Either one will attend to your needs if any issues arise

This hotel has no heating service n water pressure horrible. Service to accommodate you is horrible as well. I complain many times that the room is cold. Coming from Toronto driving a long distance you want to relax in the room not freeze .

I was very impressed with everything about the hotel, the helpful staff, the accessible room and the great location. Breakfast was a wonderful addition to the affordable room option compared to other hotel options that I have experienced with my business trips.

Alisha at the front desk is so friendly and welcoming. It was a great experience to interact with her. She is very helpful. Would return for her presence alone. The location was good as well, and with the grocery store across the way, it is convenient.

The hotel is pretty run down, but was clean. It is on a busy intersection, so there is a lot of traffic noise, etc. One of the front end staff were quite abrasive, as well, which made it seem unwelcoming. We had a room where the smoke detector was going off and they had some difficulty dealing with it and didn't have any availability of rooms to switch us into. Overall a below average stay.

Check in staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. The room was clean, the bed is very comfortable. Mini fridge, microwave and coffee station a bonus. Lots of TV stations to keep you entertained and free wifi.

Evacuated from Yellowknife and Amanda from headquarters helped us get 2 rooms to accommodate us. She was amazing. Cedar Park Inn gave us a 50% discount. I had a great stay, rooms were clean and large. The restaurant has great food and great service.

I was evacuated from yellowknife nt because of raging fires. I booked a room ,along with my cat at the best western cedar park Inn edmonton.all of the staff , especially Alicia and the front end ladies, the cleaning staff and the management were stellar in their kindness and extremely helpful in making my stay a wonderful experience. I will definitely be returning whenever I'm in the city!

The day after I checked out they randomly billed me an extra $64, no invoice, no email, no contact. I had to call and find out why and then they sent an invoice that simply says, charged to MC. Also I'm an evacuee from the fires in NWT. Also their pet friendly rooms are NOT accessible.

Bad breakfast & average service. One of the poorest BW's I have visited. Limited amenities and laid back staffs. I would suggest all to think a second time before visiting this specific best western. The other BWs in Edmonton are much better

My friend and I decided to stay here due to price, location and amenities. Seemed like a good deal with the Best Western brand. The restaurant food was terrible, the bedroom was very musty smelling and the "indoor heated pool" was in the basement/dungeon of the hotel. It is very small, cold and grungy looking. We were very annoyed as we were looking forward to a good soak. We were only there for 2 hours so decided to complain and check out. The girls working were the only good part. They said no problem and we left for Hilton. I am assuming this property was not originally a Best Western, as this property does not meet the Best Western brand of quality. Will not stay here again.

Breakfast included but kitchen ran out. Poorly stocked and quality can be improved. Not much choice for the health conscious. No bran alternatives in either muffins or cereal. Eggs were like powder. Disappointing stay this time.

Best hotel ever!!! Very clean and fresh… staff are polite and respectful, alycia front desk is very polite , respectful and tries to accommodate any issues at hand. Robin bajwa is manager there and if any issues arise please speak to her if alycia isn't available

There is extra fee for pet (as usual), and a damage deposit. There is also a policy that you CANNOT leave your pet unattended in the room. Which means forget the free breakfast, or the restaurant at all. Forget the pool or any other ammenities. Add stairs and a security door into your calculations that you have to manage with the pet and your luggage - and you start to get the picture.

Hotel was overall okay, has fridge (no freezer), 1 cup coffeemaker, microwave, bedside lamps have both regular electrical outlets and USB outlets for charging your smartphone/tablet. AC and Wifi worked great all the time..Bed was comfortable, and I had enough space to store my clothes and other things. Free breakfast was nice as well, and the in-hotel restaurant is good. It's right across the street from Calgary Trail Superstore, McDonalds and there's a Starbucks and Edo Japan, plus Peters' Drive In right behind the hotel, there's a bus stop next to the hotel and one across the street so easy to get to whether you use a car, taxi or public transportation

The only thing that saved this hotel from getting a 0/5 was the front desk clerk. She tried her very best to accommodate us and offer good customer service. We stayed at this hotel for a long weekend while there was a basketball tournament in town. When we arrived it was 29*c outside and it felt about 27*c in the lobby. There was one front desk clerk working with a sold out weekend. We had to wait 20 minutes to check in. Once we finally got up to our room. we unfortunately found out the air conditioning was also not working in there- it was 25*C. Went back downstairs to wait another 20 minute to talk to her about the temperature in our room. She said maintenance was unavailable and she would see what she could do. That she would reach out to her manager- (who ended up Being of no assistance to this poor woman). The front desk clerk arranged for a fan to be brought up to our room for the night which made it tolerable. The heat was an issue but there was also a lot of noisy kids running around til 230 in the morning- and the older gentleman working nights tried to get the kids to return to their room- but this is a fault of the parents and not the hotel- the pool area was a mess and both times I was there- there were no towels. I called best western customer service to complain- they said they like to give the hotel the change to make things right first. Well the manager Robin did reach out to me with a standard copy and paste email about sorry we didn't meet your expectations but please give us another chance and stay with us again. A discount for the incredibly poor stay would have been a nice gesture. I was unsatisfied with her response so called customer service again and spoke to an incredibly rude agent. They do not offer financial compensation for things outside of their control- as far as I'm concerned being short staffed and underprepared for weather isn't a valid excuse. Learn from your competitors- last year we stayed at the holiday inn on gateway- they were having issues with their hot water- everyone staying got a 10% discount. Soo if you need a place to stay book the holiday inn down the street. It's comparable rate and much better customer service.

I would not stay here as Edmonton has plenty of choices. The front staff and the lady in the restaurant tending to the buffet were excellent. We switched rooms three times as the first room smelt like cigarettes and the second room the air conditioning unit had leaked water all over the retro carpet. Finally we went to the third room, and it had no control to work the air conditioning but at this point we were tired of moving our luggage around and settled. The room was small and needed much updating! The air conditioning was not working throughout the building including the restaurant, elevator (one elevator as the other one was out of service). The fitness centre that was located in the dungeon basement as had no air conditioning and it was stifling. I am thankful that there was a fitness centre but they could have set up fans to keep the air movement going. The swimming pool was in the basement as well and was dirty. Overall, sleep in your car if you can.

Horrible. I've never had to clean gunk out of a hotel A/C unit before. The entire building smells of mold and what I think is moth balls. Half the wall plugs didn't work, the windows, which open like 4 feet wide, don't have screens. I honestly didn't want to take my shoes off. I booked the room with reward points, so it at least cost me nothing. Stay far away. Picture of A/C gunk included.

When we arrived at the hotel, the front desk area was hot! Thus should have been a sign of how the hotel room would be. The hotel room was so hot! The AC was broken. I called downstairs and told the employee but no one followed up or fixed it.

I would not recommend this hotel. The staff and rooms are not what you expect. The front lobby looks ok but the rooms are old, smell of mould, ripped and stained bedding and carpets. Unsafe windows due to no screen on it. Poor ventilation, the AC does not work and will leave you in a sweat. No maintenance to look at any issues. Microwave in the room was about to explode or something - couldn't warm up popcorn without the microwave getting too hot. The pool was filthy, slimy and smelly. The room keys work once and then deactivates and no, we didn't keep them by cellphones.

There was water damage in areas and minor leaks, the noise from other rooms could clearly be heard, it felt as though there was no privacy. Overall stay was fine for the price I paid. The restaurant staff could have been more attentive to the customer.

After more than a decade of staying at this hotel, I was very disappointed by the Hotel's policy of charging $20/per pet/per day. Given these are the highest charges in Edmonton and their total lack of justification for a multiple night stay one has to look at greed as their motivation. Let me explain - A three night stay with two small dogs will cost $120 extra. The justification is the extra cleaning??? How can this be if one considers the following: 1. Vinyl, easy clean floors (no carpets) in room; 2. They don't clean everyday (so why the daily charge). 3. Their staff cleans the rooms. An expected charge no matter who, or what stays in the rooms. They also didn't bother to reply to their calls regarding the matter. The conditions of the rooms and the total lack of customer loyalty by the present management has resulted in my one star rating.

It was a good stay. The room was clean. There was an initial noise issue with maintenance doing work next door but the issue was taken care of right away so all was good. We would stay again. The price was perfect.

The best to stay while vacationing or even just taking a break , rooms are always clean and fresh.. any issues talk to robin Bajwa she will resolve any issues or give alternatives if issue can't be solved. Staff are friendly and respectful and courteous

Rooms are alright. A little noisy due to location in between cgy trail and gateway which was expected. Good for a one night stay but I've been here for a week. Planned on staying for a few months while working in the area but will probably switch hotels. They do not clean rooms day to day here. Not sure what you pay for but it's not housekeeping I'll tell you that much. Location is nice and close and walking distance to a couple restaurants and grocery stores as well as gas stations and, etc. Restaurant/bar has been dead all week what I can see. Theres a small vlt lounge if that's your thing. Nothing special. Didn't receive any weekly rates if you plan long term stays.

This location does not live up to web site and is a rip off . No hot water one day, no breakfast available. room at 25C and windows blocked closed, fridge not working, swimming pool cold, black mold in corners of the tub/ shower, towels like sand paper.

Hotel is dirty and gross and they don't do a thing about it but laugh, I'm so disappointed in this experience I will never stay at a BW again. I emailed the manager on the day I was checking as the front desk staff did nothing for us and she has yet to get back to me about my complaints, the sink backed up and cigarette butts bubbled up from the drain absolutely gross. I couldn't even brush my teeth because the sink was bad!

Couldn't get the room to cool down. Was told to turn the heat off and the temperature only dropped 1 degree during the night. So hot couldn't sleep and it took the staff 3 hrs to get a fan to our room.

First room smelled musty. Leaking pipe. I got a complimentary room upgrade. Didn't have to pay for parking so left my car at the hotel for the day. ETS is easy enough to navigate. Pretty happy with my stay overall.

Garage and rose peddles left in the room from previous guests, stained sheets, peeling wall paper in multiple areas of the room, 3 out of 6 light bulbs burned out in the bathroom, dirty carpets, half full beer cans left in the stairs well the entire length of our stay and a loud location with outside traffic. We won't be back!

As a family, I choose hotels that include a complimentary or continental breakfast. We have stayed at this location before, both for business stays as well as sport events, and breakfast was included and that's why I selected the location again. At check in, I was told breakfast was offered in their restaurant, but not included, I was disappointed. The room was clean, the staff was friendly and accommodated giving us a room on the backside of the building so it would be quieter, no complaints there. The room is standard, and everything worked in it. My deal breaker was the lack of continental breakfast. Our mornings are very early and busy, so even a hot coffee and muffin would be greatly appreciated when we stay in hotels.

Hotel staff was very friendly and they solved my booking mistake immediately and also upgraded my room without any extra charge. I will stay next time definitely and everything is just in walking distance.

I stayed at this hotel last month with a couple of coworkers and we all agree that it was exceptional. The checkin was very quick and smooth with knowledgeable front desk employees. The rooms were clean and beds comfortable. There was a designated working area in the room which made it easy to have remote meetings. Overall, a wonderful stay and will definitely visit again!

I sat waiting to leave this fabulous hotel. Where do I even begin? From arrival to departure, it's been everything and more. My room was spacious and very clean with a lovely comfy bed. The staff here makes the hotel what it is. I can't possibly end this without mentioning Alisha H from the front desk. This place is definitely worth it. Best western cedar park gateway Blvd is everything a hotel should be plus more.

Great pillows and great staff I would definitely go back again. This is the best hotel I found in the area. Great food and staff and everything is close..the management is very helpful too... I plan on staying there this Christmas with the family

It was an amazing stay. We stayed as a family of four! Very clean and absolutely amazing staff. Big shout out to Front Desk! Staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. I would definitely recommend staying with them. Great room service and cleanliness. Would definitely recommend friends and family!

Rooms are always clean and fresh, staff at front desk ANKITA AND CHIVAM are polite courteous and respectful… awesome front desk staff, although if problems arise talk to ROBIN BAJWA she is operations manager and will gladly fix issues at hand and will resolve with a solution . This is the best hotel I have stayed in , where I was treated with respect ..

Stayed two nights. Temp in the room was reading 27 degrees Celsius. Couldn't sleep due to the room temp. Unable to control the temp of the room with the thermostat. Moved to a different room the next day and the same problem. I was told the A/C was turned off, therefore unable to cool the room. Bed not made up if staying more than one night, no fresh towels unless you ask for them. Horrible experience.

There was no hot water in my room, and no one at the front desk to help, I tried 5x to go down and report the issue, no staff there each time. They made me give a $250 damage deposit, fine, but upon checkout refused to refund my husband and made me return with my card, although I had already left in the morning for a meeting. Room was dirty, counters had soap scum and buildup, and shower had no hot. Very disappointed with the service and room, I paid over $150 for this. I will not be back to this location. Customer service offered no apology or discount for the poor experience.

We stayed in a "renovated" room. There was black mold along windows, caulking seperated from window sill leaving a 1/4 inch gap. Furniture had gross stains. Water damage on ceiling where some has flaked off and wall paper lifting due to water damage. We stayed 2 nights. There is no housekeeping between nights. No cleaning,no garbage emptying, no new towels, no refreshing supplies like shampoo, coffee, paper coffee cups, toilet paper, etc.

Having to travel to Edmonton for a course I needed to stay a night. My wish list was a comfortable rest and a clean bathtub at an affordable rate. The room I was given checked those boxes. The hotel common spaces and the room itself clearly need renovation but was functional enough. Carpeting, cleanings, and other room fixtures all show all the hallmarks of years of use. Tub was clean. Bed linens were clean. Bed was not great. My simple bed at home is more comfortable but it was ok. The deep bath made the cost of the night worth it for me after living for nearly six months with only access to a shower. Check in and out were quick and easy. So, I might return again. I might not as well.

The pool was terrible condition. Lots of scum and other stuff floating on top of water. There was blood on the walls of the men's shower room. There was supposed to be a complimentary breakfast and when we went to get it. They told us they don't offer ot anymore. Room was boiling and had no ac. We could barley sleep. And qhen we told front desk of our problem they practically shrugged it off like they didn't care

Very ARROGANT manager. I booked a room with 2 queen and 2 Bunk beds .Air condition was not working. Shivam the front desk person gave other room key to try and there also AC was not working. It was terribly hot inside. When Shivam called manager then manager was so rude that he or she said refund them money and tell them to leave.I believe ROBIN BAJWA is the manager.As she is the one who always reply on google as a manager.A question for Robin Bajwa that if you can't do anything then why you apologize, call back customer for superior experience,give your personal cell number on bad reviews.You should get some lesson from those bad reviews rather then repeating same thing again and again. Madam or Sir this is not the proper way to work. Need to Learn good Customer Service. Never going to come back to this place.As we were tired from long flight. We kept the same room with noisy window open and with a table fan. Such kind of Manager shouldn't exist who don't even know how to do business and customer service. Cleaning wise everything was ok but shame on the MANAGER.

Ankita and Chivam are the only best staff at front desk, robin is manager there and usually most of the time resolves issues at hand or makes alterations if she can't fix it.. I have been going there for years and of course stuff changes, but these 2 people are the most polite staff working the front desk. Hotel is always clean and very tidy to my experiences. But if problems arise at this hotel talk to ROBIN BAJWA. She will do her best resolve issues at hand

Cooling stopped working and even with it set to 16, it was 25 in the room. Guy at the front seemed like he didn't care about the issue. Tub drains fast even with the stopper down. Had to top it up every 2 to 3 minutes. Had to shove a cloth under the stopper to slow it down. Somehow they didn't have ANY utensils even though there's a restaurant in the lobby. Absolutely not worth the money; I've had better experiences for half the price.

No management on staff for DAYS They refused to come and see the bugs crawling all over our bed as they (anika) didn't want to leave the front desk as she said that there was nobody else there. Couldn't get fresh towels, and just an overall disappointment.

THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have ever experienced. I booked online for 3 days with 2 adults. Upon arrival I was not greeted in any type of polite or welcoming way and charged an extra $15 per person per night (I had 2 other guests) I thought you paid for the room not the occupancy. Anyways that was fine. Receptionist gave me new rates because of the additional guests and me being a best western rewards member, which I was fine with. Upon receiving my invoice I was charged an additional $200 that I did not confirm with and the prices of my 3 nights that receptionist stated the rates would be were changed. I confronted the receptionist on the day of our checkout and she stated she didn't say any of that although she was the same one to check us in when we arrived. When I asked for a manager she said there wasn't one and when I asked for her name she stated she didn't have to tell me. As someone who has worked in the hospitality field the lack of friendliness and customer service was by far the WORST I've ever encountered. When working front desk you are the first impression of the hotel and anyone who works in this industry knows this. I will NEVER be staying with best Western again as this employee had ruined the reputation of this company. Best Western do better.

Refused to honour early check in at 1pm despite pre registration online. Extremely rude and unapologetic for not honouring early check in. Offered no solutions.Clearly short staffed. Restaurant not open at 1130am but bar was open to serve liquor only. Extremely disappointing visit.

This hotel is terrible. It smelled so bad, the carpet in the basement has been wet and makes the whole place smell like mildew. The air conditioning in the rooms is ancient and didn't work. We went when it was +30* so no air conditioning was a big problem. They sent someone to look at it, he told us he didn't know how to fix it, told us oh well and left. I asked to switch rooms, they didnt have anything available, again I was told oh well. I asked for a fan, the fan they brought was broken. The swimming pool is in the mildewed basement. It was tiny and had rust spots everywhere. The bath tub was raised about 6 inches and a big fall risk to seniors. There was a balcony on our room with a lounge chair on it, but there was no way to get out there. There was no door, only a window that had been blocked to only open a couple inches. We would not have stayed but there wasn't any rooms available at any other hotels and we had tickets for an event the next day. But we will not ever book a room at this hotel again.

It appears that they have spent money on renovations, inside and out. Though my room was not ready at the check-in time of 4pm, I did not mind waiting in their, surprisingly comfortable, lobby chairs. The staff are incredibly friendly and set a high bar for service. In many ways though, I feel they are fighting a somewhat uphill battle. This was foreshadowed by the leaky roof in the beautifully renovated lobby where a bucket was being used to capture the water coming from the ceiling. Stepping off the rather abrupt elevator, the floor I was on looked nice, and again, renovated. My room, similarly, at first glance was gorgeous, clean, and modern. The sheets on the bed looked rumpled, but I chalked that up to the hurried nature of the room preparation. Overall the room was nice, though the furniture was chipped and worn and the chair and ottoman were stained. The bed, however, was comfortable and the main part of the room looked and felt clean. The bathroom was probably where the score suffered the most. The bathroom fan switch was broken (it sort of worked in a way that made me think it was shorting out constantly) and the sink's drain cap was stuck closed. There was no hot water pressure (sink and shower) and there was quite a lot of mold along the caulking of the shower. In fact, the caulk, in many places, had detached and allowed for, I would imagine, water infiltration and molding in behind the shower enclosure. Further, there was dirt and such in the corners behind the toilet, where the wall meets the bathtub and under the sink counter. For the price I paid, I wasn't too fussed, but I couldn't help but feel that, whatever money was spent renovating this hotel, it was being wasted by lack of maintenance and cut corners. I slept well and checkout was quick and easy, with another hearty "hello and good morning" from the very excellent staff. I, unfortunately, did not have the opportunity to try the pool or restaurant. All-in-all, for the price I paid, I felt I received good value and I would stay here again, assuming I received a similar deal. Would I let my mom stay here? No. I do hate to see money and effort wasted and so I hope that the hotel continues to improve and correct some of these deficiencies. They have a great product and wonderful staff, just get some polish on it!

Our room was tidy but there were lots of things that shouldn't have passed inspection. Hair in multiple locations in the bathroom. Dirty rag marks in the bathtub, tons of dirt and grime in the corners of the bathroom. The toiletries were just piled into the corner on the counter. The mirror had some toothpaste splatter above the sink and the taps had fingerprints and marks all over them. There was a mark of some sort above the light switch. Beds were made but the sheets on the beds weren't put on all the way, the bed skirt was half tucked into the bedding on one side. There were pieces of garbage under the bed skirts. In the hallways, all the doors looked like they had been patch painted with a different kind of paint and was really noticeable. I didn't like that breakfast wasnt included especially with the cost of the subpar rooms

Great little hotel for the price. Centrally located near everything. Front desk staff are amazing, accommodating and helpful. Beds were comfy, room was clean. Housekeeping was very attentive and maintenance was incredibly friendly. Would stay again.

Hotel is very clean. Rooms are clean and updated. Plenty of space the room and well laid out. Plenty of parking, front, side and rear of hotel. Easy access to gateway north and Calgary trail south. Steps away from Starbucks, Edo, McDonald's.. Short window for time offering breakfast in the morning. Lounge closes at 11:00 pm. These might all be normal now due to Covid 19. Overall we would book and stay at the Cedar Inn again.

Showed up today after making a reservation at this hotel. I guess I did not book a pet room. All I got was you cannot bring an animal into the room no option to rebook at another BW property or suggestions on where to stay just dismissed. It was quite embarrassing as it was just an oversight on my part. I have been a loyal BW member and it had been my go to brand but after this experience I will drive a little further to be treated better.

If you book a room that includes breakfast (through online booking agencies), you will be contacting their customer service as the hotel does not honor it. Breakfast is minimum $12/person, but is quite good. Our provider offered $100 voucher or refund with receipts following the stay. The rooms are aging, but our was acceptable enough to not request another. The heater was in pieces and had sharp edges (luckily we are passed the point of travelling with toddlers). The sitting chair was stained enough that it was avoided. Front desk staff seemed spiteful in regards to our stay being booked through expedia-group. Keep in mind that providers had the room set at $88-108/night vs the hotel's website's $180+. On check-out, we requested an invoice due to online complaints of extra fees; we were told no, and that it would be accessible from the provider. There is now a $150 deposit that was charged (not the usual "hold"). We are hopeful a refund will follow shortly, but fully expect to have to reach out to the hotel. FYI. If you are safety-conscious, or active-minded. Be aware that you are limited to a single elevator to access rooms off the main floor. The stairwells are not accessible outside emergency use.

As in most high-traffic areas, there will always be a percentage of "transients"; my preference would be to find a hotel outside of the city next time for the extra inconvenience of travelling a bit further. Breakfast was extra (not included in the price)

Booked a suite arrived to room , door was open , marginally clean , leak in bathroom ceiling with bucket , missing sink drain, Asked for a different room , was moved to a queen room. Room was tired , small TV, fridge not working . Morning breakfast was not included and was also poor. Just sitting in lobby now watching the police escort out some guests .

Will definitely stay again at Best Western Cedar Park Inn. Staff were very friendly and helpful to restock the room with towels and supplies as needed. The room was keep well, very clean and comfortable to stay in.

Pool was freezing and dirty! No hot tubs, or showers. We had the suite for our family, it was dirty & stains all over the chair. Smelled like second hand smoke, and the latch on the door had previously been busted through and broken. Door to kids twin room had just glass, no curtain to close to provide privacy or light from other room. No free breakfast as advertised. Don't stay here with your family!

We went through 3 rooms to find one where we could spend the night. The first one was so dusty, we ask for a different room, we got the one next door. First think we noticed was the desk chair was broken, reported it and asked for a replacement, we waited about 40 min before going down to the front desk and asked again, that's when we got the chair replaced. The window was so loose that it was unsafe, it was actually moving in and out, the whole frame was damaged and wind / noise was just coming in. When we checked the bedsheets, they were dirty, fluff and pubic hairs everywhere, obviously bed was made without changing sheets. We asked for a different room, which was ok. The website mentioned free breakfast included, they actually charge $12.00 per persons, not cool. Terrible experience overall for a Best Western hotel.

Love the hotel and staff, very clean rooms , polite and respectful staff .. this is the best place to stay , upon my travels in Canada … the manager robin bajwa treats every person with respect and tries to accomadate your stay if you have any issues !! Love it

Goodmorning I have stayed here several times in the last few years. Always seemed good! Not this time! Very poor and loud cleaners! Poor restaurant service! Poor drink service! Lied to at check in about room location! Hopefully better in the future but I doubt it!

We were in town for a Garth Brooks concert and arrived early. I am aware check in time is 4pm however as a customer service thing and to prevent your clients from waiting you make sure To get everything ready for them that much faster. Instead upon trying to check in on three separate occasions they turned me away saying our rooms were not ready. I asked if I could just come back to the front desk you guys then told me no I would have to go to the back of the line. I waited in lines at your establishment for close to an hour for the several attempts to check into my room. When we were finally able to checkin, you then pre authorized my card for two damage deposit fees that were not even mentioned as well as a pre-authorization for the room and a charge for one of the rooms. You guys left me with absolutely no funds for the weekend… my hotel was $211.90 that is what I was expecting to pay you guys! I will not be returning to your particular hotel ever again…

The staff was excellent. I can't stress enough how wonderful they were. It was very busy and they handled the crowd with grace, even when other customers were being rude. The location was perfect for us. Peters is behind it, you've got McDonald's, Starbucks, Tim Hortons, and 7/11 all immediately around you. And for us coming from Calgary, it was easy to get there and to leave to go home. It's not far from the LRT which we used to get to a concert. The drain in the tub didn't drain well, like the latch wouldn't stay up, it's the only reason I didn't give it perfect marks. Otherwise it was clean. I would stay here again and I would highly recommend.

Manager would not accommodate handicap access and did not explain or apologize. Fridge did not work and room was not very clean. Staff were helpful. Am now just filling up space to meet min 200 characters

I could recommend this hotel for location to U of A for medical reasons but would look for another place for satisfaction of overall hotel. The bathroom tap was ready to fall off. Fridge freezer was so in need of a defrost as food in fridge froze. It had a spill in fridge/freezer that had not been cleaned. The hallway had a fan going when we arrived. A really moldly smell. Yes I realize it's been raining lots but I could put my finger through the hall wall where leak was. This leak has been going on for some time. I would have asked to be moved to another room but sickly mother and didn't want hassle just put towel in from if door to container odour. Please don't spray tons of room deodorizer to cover smell it then become even more intolerable. Overall find a different place until they spend some time addressing issues due to its age.

Stayed here for a night to get way and relax. It was wonderful right from the moment I arrived. Very clean, I loved the staircase. It was a feature piece for sure. I loved the card key access as a woman travelling alone I liked that extra feeling of security. The room was very clean and it was a breeze to adjust the temperature of the room to my liking. The lounge was quiet, exactly what I needed to enjoy my wine. The Italian restaurant near by was 10/10 as well. I will definitely be staying here again.

Rooms old . Service poor. Lots of broken amenities. The restaurant didn't care to serve people. Costs of food high. Elevator from 1950 scary. Building maintenance was very poor .rough appearance. Photos on website must be done on opening day. Not accurate anymore

Bed is comfortable but room was noisy and extremely hot. Thermostat stuck on 24. Road noise as well as elevator noise. I was charged more that internet booking reservation price and I had my confirmation price with the amount on it. They would not change it to internet pricing.

This place is as affordable as it is for good reasons... just stay else where. Not friendly, confrontational front desk staff, no breakfast and poor booking for select member with a dog. Do better....

Not sure for $200 for 2 nights it was worth the value. The location for what we needed was ok but that's it. VLT lounge attracted sketchy people that say a smoked near the door. I feel as though we will try and stay somewhere else if we need to come to that area of Edmonton again.

I have stayed at Best Westerns around the world. This one is the middle of the pack. The hotel is dated and is decor. The walls are thin so you can hear guests talking. But room was comfotable enough - large bed, tv with lots of channels, a large shower (need a bath too though). Breakfast was not provided and the pool was not heated. But all in all a decent location and good enough staff.

The bed was to small for the frame so in the family room had bars sticking out you could hit your shins or for a baby head on, the plates for the wires in the kids rooms were off the wall so there were holes and wires showing in the kids rooms the water was yellow and stained the bath tub and to top it all the man helping us told me first off he could not honor the reservation than my husband went in and he got the room.

very clean even though an older building and great service. Was a great cost for the one night and very comfortable bed. Would definitely stay here again as the location was ideal for where we needed to go.

Location of this hotel is very good, right in front of a supermarket, and shops and restaurants within walking distance. Hotel is also updated and housekeeping is on point - no room visits for guests staying for 2 nights or more due to Covid precautions.

Best Western Cedar Park Inn is a great place to stay. The rooms are very clean, the staff is friendly and was a good location for the purpose of my stay. I would highly recommend staying here and will be staying at the Best Western again.

what is that blood or oh its blood. we had blood on our bed skirt. other room had blood on the sheets and mattress. told front desk. they just took note. like it was a common complaint. first night we had a major couple . hook up gone wrong beside us. screaming etc. cops involved etc. our kids so upset. they couldn't move us to another room but told us the night would be comped. then at check out retracted it. and said that the circumstances were out of their control and that they didn't need to comp our room..... what guest service is that. keep your word. when asking for face clothes. front desk had none took till next day to get some after asking 3 times.

Room was very dirty. Bed sheets smells like unwashed clothes. Very dusty. The odor of the room smells like a rotten wood.would not reccommend for this couples with kids especially with eczema allergy. Water in the pool is so dirty as well.

This hotel is terrible. The only bedside lamp did not work. Replaced the bulb still did not work. The room was dark! The hairdryer beside the microwave would cut or did not turn on. The wallpaper is peeling at the seams. The tv remote did not work even after getting "new" mismatched batteries from the front desk. The stairways to the lobby was dirty/dusty with food on the railing and floor and was there on Friday check in and still there Sunday check out. Beer can beside the elevator garbage and was never cleaned up was there 2 days. There was hair in the bathtub drain. YUCK! I will avoid this best western location.

The staff was positive, friendly and helpful. Rooms and bathroom were nice, cozy and clean. I will definitely return to this hotel on my next visit. Also, beds were big, nice and clean. Internet in the room was fast. My family and I enjoyed our stay.

Do not recommend staying at this establishment.. had a horrible experience. We booked a room 5 minutes before showing up and when we got there we had no reservation. Apparently even if you book 5 min before showing up if you show up at 3am they consider that a no show… we got that dealt with wasn't a big deal. In the morning I had a shower and I took my expensive ring off and put it on the bathroom counter. We left the hotel and within 5-10 minutes I knew I had left it because I only ever put my ring on my finger or in the ring box. We get back to the hotel and tell them what happened and they tell us they are sending someone to check the room, first of all why couldn't we go back in the room and look our self. This wouldn't have been a problem but no. They told us no ring was found and then they let us go check the room our self's…. We even went and found the cleaner that checked our room and he was almost trying to avoid us he said that he only looked in the main room even though all the drawers had been opened and check and things in the bathroom had been moved.. at this point what can you do… it's been weeks and I still have not seen the ring. I am speechless I've never had an experience like this. I do not recommend this location. I will NEVER EVER be going back to this establishment….

Where do I begin? Front desk clerk was ignorant, shower had barely any hot water, stayed 5 days and was told because I was staying more than 1 night the room would not be cleaned, restaurant was a complete joke, food was barely edible, waitress never came around to check on you, at one point I was even able to leave go to my room then come back and she didn't even notice. I could have just walked out on my bill. Dave your money and go somewhere else To stay

I made my reservation a couple weeks before showing up being a DIAMOND MEMBER, I agreed to a price and verified it with my VISA. When I arrived at the property to check in, was told by check in clerk the kids were an extra $15 each (because they were over 12 years old). I have stayed at this property many many times with my daughters high school volleyball team and have never heard of this. As well don't think I have ever stayed at any hotel where I reserved a room, agreed on price and then price changes when you arrive by the amount of kids you have. The reservation online and on the APP does not make any mention of this and the price doesn't change when reserving online or the APP when adding how many children you have or there ages.. Imagine patrons reserving a room with a family of 6 (4 kids 12years or older), they would have to pay an extra $60, i think most people would be MAD. Need less to stay if you have kids(over 12), YOU WILL BE PAYING EXTRA. Also the elevator is so noisy, at night it has to be shut down, I got a PICTURE of the sign warning people, I will try and post it.

Tvs don't work. Remotes do different functions that were posted. Amenities that say you can use are closed to you but others can freely use. Tell you get modified breakfast only to find out it's the coffee or tea pack in your room. Staff that's rude and won't even tell you if a manager is in or not and treat you like it's all your fault

Staff was accommodating when I arrived earlier than the scheduled check-in time. We were upgraded to the king suite at no additional cost. The room was very spacious, clean, and comfy. Room had microwave and mini fridge, couch, seating area. The location is close to many restaurants and stores nearby.

I have stayed in this hotel 5 or 6 times before and have always been satisfied with the room and overall experience. Not so much this time. We checked in later in the evening and were tired so went down to the restaurant (which was good) and then went back to the room. As I pulled the blackout drapes closed , I noted some staining on the inner curtains. In the morning, I saw it in better light and they were extensively water damaged. The desk was also damaged by moisture and was bubbled all along the front of the desk. Looking up at the area abouve the curtains, the wallcovering was peeling back and I noted what appeared to be mould along the top of the valance. While the curatains could be dondensation from the windows, I don't think the black stuff could go un noticed by the cleaning staff. When my adult daughter was getting out of bed, she noted that there were two toenail clippings between the bed and nightstand. There also appeared to be small black spots along the bottom of the headboard on her bed. I did report all of this to the front desk. The customer service reprsentative took notes on the room and the concerns and indicated they would be addressed. As mentioned, I have stayed at this property before and have always been satisfied. Hopefully this was not typical of their current standard.

This is one of the best stays I have ever experienced. The rooms are clean and very comfortable, the staff are friendly and accommodating. Well situated, most of your needs are within walking distance. Ample parking, restaurant on site.

Decided to stay at Best Western to get away from the downtown noise during the convoy. As I was looking for a peaceful and relaxing get away, it happened to be far from. The tub was dirty, the bedding looked like it was just remade and not changed. When brought forward to the front counter staff I was called a liar and told that me inquiring about getting another room when I found out these issues was just an inquiry and not a demand. I was tired, exhausted and was just looking to relax.

We had friendly staff when we stopped in for 3 nights and while we weren't at the hotel for much of our stay, we were well rested. Some drawbacks were some communication issues as to if the pool was open or not, and the restaurant wasn't the greatest. Location is decent though and we were 15 minutes from anything.

Everything was fine, the elevator is ready for the dump, we know how old the Cedar Park, Best Western is, we used to live in Edmonton, time to replace it. OH, when older people walk in, please do over them the cart to take their luggage to the room, do not wait until they ask you,

Awful! Staff were unfriendly. We were told one thing and then heard others from other guests. (We were told the pool was closed, but others were told they could book a time slot for it.). A hair was fried into my food. Our friends had a dog, and supposedly the hotel is dog friendly, but they shamed them out of the room they booked. Our duvet had no cover. Room wasn't cleaned Save yourselves, don't book here!

The appearance was great. The room was clean but you could hear everything outside the room. Kept waking up. Too bad. The staff was great though. It was the first time we stayed on a ground floor room. Maybe that was the reason why there was soo much noise. The overall experience was decent and we were only staying one night. Too bad it had to be so restless.

Service is poor at this hotel, hallways smell of fresh cigarettes smoke, even though they make it clear no smoking in rooms. Hotel is far more worried about squeezing their extra fees out of you than providing a proper service and stay.

Robin bajwa is great manger , she helps in any way possible and will go out of her way to make you happy with your stay, she's a princess from heaven. Very well respected and courteous . She's number 1 in that hotel.. try this place it's great , rooms are clean and tidy!!!

Had our room booked months in advance. Hotel manger refuses to check in anyone who is unvaccinated or needs a PCR rapid test, even though they are considered essential and not allowed to take part in the Alberta Pass system. Phoned corporate office and they said the Manager made his own policy which is completely against the law. Putting in a formal complaint and filing with the humans right commission. No where does it state on their website that this is the managers policy. Had we not called and asked about breakfast options we had never know until check in time. Many of us travelling from over 10 hours away. Cancelled our reservation and booked with a different hotel. Complete against the law and is blatant discrimination.

Convenient to shopping centres and close to downtown. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, front desk staff were professional, polite and it was a pleasure dealing with them. Easy hotel to access, park, check-in and out and would recommend this hotel and location to any traveller.

Very helpful staff and rooms were well kept. Was close to many amenities. Great shopping nearby. Only issue I had was that as I kept on extending my stay they kept on new pre-authorizing my Credit Card every time which was a pain so I had to wait until check out to get the remaining money back onto my card from the all of them. But staff was extremely helpful and kind.

Took my daughter and her siblings on vacation in the mountains and our way back we stayed at this hotel, nice big rooms for 2 adults and 3 kids, internet worked great, no complimentary breakfast anymore would be my only problem but they do offer you a voucher at a discounted price though.

We went to Edmonton to celebrate our 22nd wedding anniversary. Our room was not the cleanest but we looked at the price paid and decided to overlook it. When returning home after our anniversary supper we found that our room had not been made up. I called the front desk and asked why and was told that due to Covid staff is not entering rooms to make up the rooms or replenish towel supply. I was told I was welcome to come and get some towels. I requested maintenance to send them up and was told that the front desk staff was the only person on and that I was to come down to the front desk and get them. I feel that in August 2021 to use an excuse of COVID to not service your rooms and customer is not acceptable. If room make up is not available the customer should be provided notification up front at the time of booking or provided with a discount to accept this type of service.

From the litter outside in the front garden. Having to request another room when we found the bedding yellowed and dirty. Carpet was very dirty. Suggest removing the carpet and installing wood floors. Paid !65/night for a very mediocre room.

Staying at Cedarpark was quite great for one night. Everything was clean and shiny. For our basic needs, we went to IHOP for brunch since there was no provided breakfast at Cedarpark. We filled up cheap gas at the nearby gas station alongside the Calgary Trial Highway #2 before boaging to Lloydminster via the Whitemud Highway - very easy accessibility. We thought that Cedarpark was the most perfect central location to drive away to anywhere.

Poor cleanliness, unhelpful staff, loud traffic. The entire stay was miserable. I usually stay best Western, but this was not a good experience. I'll find something else for my next stay in Edmonton without a doubt

I really do love this hotel, all the staff are very professionals and friendly. I love the way they welcome me and family inn. I will really recommend this hotel to my friends and family. And I will come again next year for my vacation.

It was a decent stay. The building was very rundown. The tub was not draining and the iron board broke. They did fix the problem right away by moving us to the room next door. Other than the minor issues. It was a good value for your buck.

Been charge more than online reservation, room is dirty, complained to the front desk about noise but the person did nothing, Sheet was very worn and dirty with bedbugs (discovered the next day). photos were sent to the hotel. Pool was close, kids was upset. No more Best Western ever.

It has the potential to be a good hotel if the management pays more attention to small details: elevator and cleanliness of rooms. A better reception can help to feel more welcomed: other BWP locations offer bottled water...

Poor customer service. The pool was broken and they did not let us know. They changed our room to a smaller room with a smaller bed and did not let us know. The rooms were dirty. The hallways smelled like mildew

This is a good place to stay for the price paid, some staff are excellent some staff don't talk much. The breakfast is delicious! And the rooms are ok for the price being paid. The hotel is in a okay area of town depending on where you are going!

Having stayed at this hotel 3 years ago, i was disappointed this time. The common areas and hallways were very old looking and looked like nobody cared for them. There were cleanliness issues in the room itself. Scotch tape on the walls, and the hairdryer was really dirty and couldn't be used.

The staff at this property doesn't stand up to BW standards. More better options in city could be explored. Location was appropriate, breakfast not that great, room setting was fine but again don't expect a slightest of cooperation from the staff.

I enjoyed a very clean room where my pet and I stayed for 4 nights. The bed was comfortable, the air conditioning was perfect and I was pleased that there was a microwave. Overall a positive stay and I would certainly stay here again

Stayed for one night on our way to Calgary. We almost always stay here when in Edmonton. We like the location, rooms and service. The hot breakfast was great. Two eggs, sausage, hash browns, coffee and toast was included with the room. Very good hotel at a very reasonable price.

clean hotel, really friendly helpful staff, good breakfast. Visited in march - sloppy weather - entrance floors was always clean. Reduced breakfast due to covid - still got a full 2 egg breakfast with toast, hash browns and sausage - took it to go to eat in our room. very tasty breakfast, fast and really hot.

I booked the king suite for a business trip. Unable to sleep due to noise from heating system in room. Apparently all suites use this system. Did not sleep. Left after first night to stay at a different hotel.

Nice hotel, however it's a little deeper in the city and I'm used to bringing with it more crime and more traffic so let's quaint and the West Edmonton location, and is my preferred hotel in Edmonton.

BW Cedar Park Inn is very easy to get too. The hotel itself is very clean and the beds are very comfortable. Because of COVD we could not eat in the restaurant but room service was available. It was hot, fresh, and delicious . Would highly recommend it. The bagged breakfast was disappointing. Although the banana bread was delicious the actual fresh banana was so green it was actually crunchy. The breakfast also included some kind of sliced deli meat in a baggy. I threw that out! All in all though I would highly recommend this BW.

This hotel offers great value - rooms are comfortable and clean. Unfortunately due to Covid-19, we didn't get to experience the other facilities in the hotel. The staff was friendly. I would stay here again.

The customer service representatives were very nice and polite. They are experts and very knowledgeable in their job. They did really well. The restaurant in the hotel was very clean - sparkly clean. I and my family ordered our food and picked it up when ready. The restaurant staff were very good and polite also. Food was ready fast without wasting time. Pick-up time too was well coordinated and organized. The food was very delicious - great cook/ chef. Location is great. Not too far from the downtown, airport, mall, recreational centers, transit and other suburbs. Overall, an awesome place to stay!!!

We had great service. The staff was very accommodating. We were changed to a bigger room when it came available. Which really made our second week more comfortable. We have stayed at this hotel many times as we come to Edmonton for doctor appointments. It is our home away from home. The free breakfast is always a bonus. Thank you

Had a great 6-night stay during COVID as a solo traveler. Room was enjoyable, quiet, free breakfast was nice, and the staff was quite welcoming throughout my trip! Location was ideal for getting around and free parking on-site helped as well.

Robyn at reception went over the top in customer service. She is efficient and thoughtful. Facility is good as expected from Best Westerns but restaurant was exceptional. Breakfast was great but supper was astounding. Excellent price and value and the meal can only be described as one of the best we have had out in a very long time

We needed to be out of our house for one night so selected the Cedar Park inn because we have stayed in many other Best Western Hotels. Very clean and well appointed room and a mostly satisfying breakfast. Great waitress and tasty full breakfast. My only complaint is that the hash browns were not the shredded variety (that is my personal bias) and should not be held against the hotel chain. I expect I would get real hash browns in the US.

The hotel was dingy but clean. Bathroom renovations were done poorly and rooms need more updating. No view out of window due to lattice covering. Did not get the price that we were quoted over the phone.

We stayed at this hotel because of the pool and the great price. The room was clean, the service was quick. The breakfast they had included was great, my kids even enjoyed it! The only thing that could be improved was if the water in the pool was warmer.

Very simple hotel, it has been under renovation for a while now, but it is coming along nicely. We love it, excellent hotel to stay while visiting Edmonton. Swimming pool was nice and some rooms have a jacuzzi suite. Very worth it, price wise.

I would give this hotel rating a 0/10 disgusting.. urine stains all over the mattresses, food in the beds, dirt everywhere and food all over the walls. Do not recommend. Asked for a new room and the second room was worse then the first.

Enjoyed a nice deserved break here was certainly worth the stop. Nice large king size bed very comfortable and the bathroom spacious large bathtub which was nice. Staff friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the pool was closed but the gym has opened up and breakfast is a go bag. All in all a pleasant stay and would go back.

The lady working at the front desk was rude and unhelpful. She replied with disdain to simple questions. We were early for check in and she acted as if we were idiots for coming early. She wasn't willing to call us when the room was ready, or provide any additional customer service in any way. When we checked out we had to ask for our brown bag breakfast, which was disappointing to say the least. She handed them over begrudgingly, went back to what she was doing and didn't reply to our "thank you, have a nice day." Overall we were floored by how rude someone in customer service could be. She tainted the whole experience and we won't be back. The room was clean, but too warm. The air conditioning wasn't working very well so the room felt humid and moist.

Fantastic price and service. Everything was clean and organized. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Loved the jacuzzi suite and the on-site restaurant. Food was excellent as was the service. Great location near amenities. Will definitely be back!

Stayed here on a business trip for four nights, during first week of March. Overall good value, received a clean room. Friendly staff members plus hot breakfast included in the daily price. Only main concern is the main elevator needs some TLC! Very irregular travel up & down, also jerky at bottom!

The hotel needs a serious overhaul. Carpets are worn and the main elevator is so noisy that it is closed from 10:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. due to noise complaints. The pool has a large yellow ring at the water line and looks in need of a cleaning. The grout between the tiles in our bathroom showed signs of mold and mildew. The staff are completely disconnected and have no customer service skills at all. Service in the bar and grill is almost zombie like. Waitress saw us come in yet we sat there for 15 minutes and finally left without ever having placed an order. Not a place I would ever stay again.

Our reason for going to Edmonton was to spend the day in the West Edmonton mall with our kids on their college reading week. This hotel is well-located, being about 10 minutes away, and easy to find. Breakfast is over early - 9:30 - and they clean up quickly, so get there before 9 if you want to eat! Good selection of hot and cold food. Front desk staff were lovely and efficient, and when we had an issue with one of our rooms they didn't hesitate to correct it. Rooms were clean. Bathrooms only had 2 towels, so if you need more you'll have to ask for them. Over all a good experience.

Good location, average breakfast, awkward setup of the swimming pool and kind of absent-mind staff at reception. The lift with outdoor windows was awesome, kind like to ride it. Regular rooms nothing unexpected.

It's not particularly modern or flashy, but it's clean and close to amenities. We stayed here for a volleyball tournament and it was fine. The complimentary breakfast was pretty average, and they had trouble keeping up with the demand with multiple teams at the hotel, but that's pretty understandable. I would stay here again.

We liked the hotel location, The reception greeted us and explained the facilities in detail. The room we stayed (4th floor) was very nice facing to the road, but no noise. We like the breakfast varieties.

We stayed for one night on a shopping trip. The room was nice and clean and the staff were all very professional and pleasant. We were told that we could get a better deal booking directly through Best Western. Great to know for the next trip.

Stayed here for a sports tournament with my family. The hotel stated it was newly renovated but that would be upper floors only. The hotel had homeless people sleeping by heater vents in parking lots, broken items and trash outside. When inside the lobby was dated and the computer chairs were worn out a lot. The front staff was welcoming at check in. Got room on 3rd floor 325 and it was dated. The safe didn't work, the thermostat didn't work and actually went hotter in the room when we turned it down. It was so loud as well. We finally turned it off and things got better. The heater had paint peeling off it and there was wires out of the wall on the floor that people could trip on or kids to pull etc. The view was of a construction site. The door has an alarm in it and if it's not closed goes off and doesn't shut off. It was very annoying and could be heard from several rooms all day and night. They gave us 2 towels for 4 people and when I asked for 4 sets of towels/face clothes they only gave us 4 big towels and still 2 face clothes. When I told front desk she yelled at me saying I should have told her sooner as housekeeping was almost done. Didn't offer to get us any face clothes. There is 2 disabled parking spots (1 where there is homeless blankets and cardboard) and no parking for platinum/diamond members as at other best westerns. Hotel pool is a small pool no luxuries like hot tub. Breakfast was In Their restaurant and closed 930 so they could serve public after. People let their kids sneeze on the food and food wasn't switched out as staff wasn't paying attention or not around. It had sausage links, hash browns, eggs, muffins, breads, oatmeal, waffles and pancakes with toppings. Apple, orange juice and water. 1 elevator is closed durning the night so you need to use East one. Location is great for shopping and entertainment/restaurants.

Staff is what makes this hotel so great ! We always stay here with our dog, good property to walk and do dog business. Great self parking area. I do recommend they keep a closer eye on the homeless people who seem to want to hang out around the property.

Stay here whenever Im out that way clean quiet and great staff Not sure how to add more characters to get to two hundred, the service was great the staff friendly and greeted me like they knew me, the rate was great the points for Best Western was completed without asking, ,have I made two hundred characters yet!!

Bums sleep in the parking lot and by the side doors, staff won't do anything about it. Not enough parking for guests, people also park here and walk to nearby business. Rooms dark, ground floor is about 10 steps higher than lobby so if you have a lot of stuff its awkward. Loud music blaring from room across hall all day and night, teenagers woohooing and screaming, other loud hotel guests slamming doors, hollering and stomping down the hallway. Room is dark even with all the lights on. Evening Restaurant service was slow and forgetful despite being the only guests. Although the wifi works well, beds are comfy and breakfast is decent, we wont be returning.

Always great service, always friendly helpful staff. Close to everything with all the amenities at great rates. A short drive to all attractions. The pillows are a little stiff, but ok. Beds are very comfortable.

I been coming to Edmonton for 20 years , Been staying at this place since 2005 ..Close to everything and The best quite Room around. It was -12c ,the room was nice and hot .no annoying heater fan because of the Hot Water baseboard . Need more Items on Dinner menu

Our stay was short but in all everything we needed were in the area. It was windy one night. The window by our bed was not sealed very well and the noise keep us up all night. This was a major problem

This hotel was clean and despite approx four kid sports teams staying at the same time it was very quiet. The only issue we had was that we stayed on the 3rd floor and our window was so drafty and noisy. Cold air came in from around it and it whistled the whole night. If you can sleep with some noise in your room it's fine but it you're a light sleeper not so fine.

The room first assigned to me was fine, but high pitch sound coming from Wi-Fi router was really noisy. I was able to get the other room immediately when a guy came up to look at the issue. The second room just across the hall way had a terrible coffee make in room. I was going to make a cup of coffee, and I made first cup of hot water to rinse up inside of the machine. Hot water came out of the machine with flakes in the cup. I tried 7 cups, then still the same amount of flakes are coming from the machine. I open the lid, I even saw a chewing gum was melted inside. Shower water was weak a bit. Breakfast was fine, but coffee was too weak. Staffs were very friendly. By the way, I found previous guest room card on the seat chair at the first assigned room.

The best care and room service I've ever had. I was under stress , a family member was in hospital and the Best Western Cedar Inn care and assistance was most welcome. Breakfast was very nice and cab service to the hospital and back was well appreciated. Staff were understanding and most helpful thank you.

The hotel is located on Gateway boulevard close to many amenities, shopping,restaurants such as Red Lobster, IHOP, close to South Common; conveniently located 20 minutes to West Edmonton Mall and 20 Minutes to University of Alberta hospital

The hotel rooms are stunning & very clean. I'm loyal to BW & this will be my hotel of choice in Edmonton. I went to the restaurant for dinner one night & got the spaghetti & meatballs. It was delicious. The breakfast that is included in the rate was great as well! I will be back!

The hotel staff were very helpful to such a large group of 27, ensuring our rooms were correct, providing good advice and ensuring everyone was happy. The rooms were all comfortable, clean and spacious. STaff in the restaurant and especially Trish in the bar were amazing!

Staff is helpful and friendly. The room was clean. The bed was confortable. I did not get to try the restaurant/lounge or the pool so cannot comment on that. The location being between two busy highways, it;'s not exactly pedestrian friendly to get to other area restaurants/businesses unless you have a car.

The Hotel was clean and comfortable. I was intrigued when I asked for a government rate for I was traveling on Business. The rate quoted was more then a standard King bed room?? 139.00 verses 89.00. Based on availability of rooms for government employees this does not seem right. Anyhow I would stay again for it is a convenient location.

Comfortable bed, easy to adjust room temperatures attentive housekeeping, decent breakfast though the breakfast was quite chilly. The room was had a Jacuzzi which ran very well, offered a great soak with just the right amount of towels!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Cedar Park Inn. From checkin all the way to checkout. Fantastic room, great sleep every night. The daily complimentary breakfast was great with a wonderful selection of items. The room was clean when I got here, and it was immaculate daily. The gentleman that checked me in was super friendly and made me feel very welcome. He needs a pay raise :) whatever you are paying him it's not enough. Thank you for a great stay. Everyone was so weloming and helpful over the holiday season. The free breakfast was great too! Pancakes and waffles, hot coffee and tea. Great and easy for the kids. Stayed over Christmas and loved the tree in the restaurant.

Ive traveled most of my life for work and I always shop for good prices. No hotel is perfect but the staff and the wonderful breakfast with low prices can't beat it. I see other reviews with not so happy comments about the noise well it's in a great location for my job and every major city has noise it's not the hotels fault It's the grumpy complainer That should go out to country If they want quiet. I think the owners and management selected a great team of employees. Especially the breakfast staff I've was treated so nice and a great selection of FREE food. I was shocked one day when a homeless man came in trying to sneak into the free breakfast buffet Most places would of throw him back on the streets hungry or even call the police. What amazed me most the owner invited him in for a free breakfast and a very pretty red head named Jazz served him like a king even giving him a take out bag full of food for later, So anyone that writes a bad review about this certain Best Western Hotel in Edmonton please don't read this first it might change your mind Thank you to all the beautiful staff Jeff McArthur Business traveler

A very nice, reasonably priced hotel. Rooms were clean and well appointed. Good beds and quiet sleeping. Hot breakfast was included. Friendly staff. Pool and exercise rooms are clean and well equipped.

Horrible experience at this hotel, drunk contract workers stay at this hotel and love to party all night and will keep u up if u r next to them. If u complain to the female front desk manager she will argue w u and tell u she knows the people and will guarantee they won't get drunk again... but refuses to kick them out bc they r long term rentals... just a horrible hotel .. rooms do not look like pictures, paper thin walls, terrible service from the front female desk manager....

In town for sports. Have tried many other hotels. This is now our hotel of choice. The pool is small, but serves its purpose. Desk staff was amazingly accomodating. The food in the restaurant was soo amazing.

Very accommodating and the breakfast was great. Close to a lot of restaurants and things that I needed. Parking was good and didn't have any issues. Had to extend my stay a couple of times and front desk was super helpful and nice.

While this is an older BW hotel it still has the BW service that you would expect to find in any of their other hotels. I chose it because it was close to several clinics and hospitals that I had appointments with. Would stay there again should I need to return for any future medical appointments.

On November 23 I rented a room, 511, at this hotel, my vehicle was parked on the east side of their parking lot, no warning signs of high crime area or other. The catalytic converter was sawed off (cut off) out from under our vehicle. The cost is $1000 to replace it, and management is not taking any responsibility. DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL.

Terrible service, late breakfast not a great place to stay if on business and tight timeline. Elevator seemed like it was going to give out at any time and reminded me of something from a horror movie, pool was very small and shallow, and no hot tub!

Excellent location to bring a traveller into Edmonton, especially from the airport. An older hotel with renovations done/being done to update and make more attractive. Solidly good pub-style restaurant in-house. Rooms were a fairly good size, and price paid was very reasonable.

Great location 10 minutes from U of A good food service for breakfast and supper. Rooms are nice. My tv remote had seen better days. Quiet. Very clean. Staff were pleasant and helpfull. Stay 2 nights get 1 free.

Wi fi was not working. Desk clerk said i didnt know how run my electronic tablet. I could only get wi fi in lobby, but not in my room. I then decided to leave the hotel and never come back to their establishment again, only then did they decide to give me a different room. I am very disturbed with the hassal and the disrepect I got from desk clerk.

An oldie but goodie. It's not a new property but it has been redone. It's decor and appliances are modern. It has a serviceable pool and fitness center. The breakfast is outstanding with great selection and hardworking staff. It's great value for money. It has a supper restaurant and other dining options nearby. Centrally locates with good highway access.

Our check in was ok. The TV didn't work very well. It was ok on our second day. Cleanliness of the hotel was poor in my opinion but it is an older hotel so some updating to carpeting and lobby etc would look nicer. The restaurant food was just ok, nothing to write home about. Our bill was screwed up the first night but was fixed the following day so that was ok just irritating. We looked for a cheaper hotel this time and that's what we got so I can't complain too much...

This is a pet friendly hotel. They have a certain number of ground floor rooms with vinyl plank flooring specifically for pets. I stayed one night with our large breed dog and a second without as we had brought our pet to the city for a surgery at a nearby veterinary hospital. The downside of this as a “Pet Friendly” hotel is there is not outside access at the end of the halls. If you need to take your pet out for it to do it's “business”, you must walk back to the lobby and out the main entrance. No short cuts outside. The check-in/front desk staff was welcoming, efficient and very friendly. It certainly set the mood for a positive stay.

I stayed at this hotel for five days while my husband was in the hospital. It was clean. Reasonably priced. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The free breakfast was varied and there was enough to fill anyone up.

We just stayed at the Best Western in Edmonton on the weekend. Both my husband and I both commented n the beds how great they were. The event we went up for was very close to the hotel which was a plus. We also enjoyed the variety for breakfast.

Stayed before better service this last time. I was down for medical reasons. I stayed one nite hubby stayed both. Very clean friendly and helpful. He ate there thought it was great food as well. And I did comment before.

We travel on medical from Yellowknife. On arrival the service was great and quick. We were also offer early check in for the patient and a discount with showing surgery paper. Smoke alarm battery were low, they immediately replace it to ensure a good afternoon of sleep. The place is quiet and close to many restaurants and shopping and bars is available near the hotel for fun trip. It's not our first time there and it sure won't be the last. Looking forward a other stay in December.

The lounge and restaurant apparently do not have anything to do with the hotel. As my wife and I were told and therefore we were not allowed to charge our meal and drinks to our room. So if you rent a room beware of this.

nice hotel for its age, some upgrades but the rooms are still dated, the taps in the bathroom where backwards almost burnt my mouth trying to brush my teeth, and they need to lay of the air freshener used in the hallways and bathrooms, staff was extremely friendly, would stay here again, the price was right, i guess you get what you paid for,

For under $100 with breakfast buffet, excellent location and nice decor. Very helpful front desk service during check in and check out. Customer rewards program is awesome they reminded me that I was signed up already from 11 years and I have 2 free nights available to me. WOW

We stayed for three nights with our dogs. Quick check in. Friendly and helpful staff. Great Food. Our best hotel experience all year. This location provided us with quick commutes to the various parts of the city we needed to visit. I was very impressed. Great job you guys.

This room needed a good cleaning. The chair had a stain on it and nothing was dusted. The tub and tap were old and need to be replaced. I heard other guests complaining about the cleanliness of the rooms. Maybe they need to hire me staff. I've stayed in other Best Western Hotels and this one was disappointing.

Traffic noise is very loud, and walls are thin, so bring ear plugs. The beds are comfortable. Price is very good. Too much perfume in the lobby area. Staff is really nice and helpful. Breakfast is good.

If you are looking for nothing extremely fancy and just a place to lay your head. They do not offer tea or coffee in the evening unless you want to make coffee in your room. The pool is very small and no hot tub. The breakfast is good and they have pancakes!

The decor hotel and rooms were OK for a standard BW but we measure 3 key factors. On the up side the beds are comfortable. The water pressure was so so. Things fell apart on number 3. Temperature upon arrival was uncomfortably warm and the cooling system had 0 effect bringing it down. Even after a couple of hours we tried openning the window to no effect. With a bad sleep assured the icing on the cake was a construction crew directly outside our window first thing in the morning that could not have been louder if tried. Management did not warn us, tell those workers to keep it down or better yet place guests to avoid the problem completely.

Our whole experience was great. Two night and service was fast, we did a walk about threw the amenities. The continental breakfast the best we ever had, and so many choices. Everything was home-made and kept fresh and re filled.

I always stay at the Best Western cedar because I bring my fur babies with me. It's great location for me and it's good to be able to bring my dogs along. They have good accommodation the hotel is well kept and they are trying to be very accommodating to us people with dogs or cats or whatever you travel with.

I'm not a very picky person when it comes to hotels especially when it's the only choice that airmiles points offered. This was our second time for the EDM Festival "Soundwave" in the West Edmonton Mall Wave Pool and we really just needed a place to sleep. The staff were friendly, the restaurant had good food, although sub-par on the drink menu, it's nothing fancy but we didn't need anything fancy. The room, especially the bathroom was immaculate so kudos there! My ONLY complaint was.... the entire hotel was literally a sauna! It was probably 30 degrees in there! Our room was a good temperature but the second night we ended up having to turn the heat off and open the window all night even though it was only about 10 degrees outside all weekend. The rest of the hotel however, was cooking, which made it very uncomfortable while hauling luggage. I'm little, I don't run hot at all, in fact I'm usually freezing, so warm buildings are awesome but this was over the top HOT. I ended up not saying anything because we were only in the hotel a short amount of time and our room was fine but if you find the lobby and the rest of the building is hot, just ask them to turn it down - it may have been that awkward time of year where it's cool outside but not cool enough to turn the AC off and the heat on - I duno. I also found WEM and Southgate mall to be overly warm as well - we ended up wearing tank tops and running from the cold outdoors to a steaming hot mall so we didn't have to carry our winter coats around the mall :P. Just an awkward time of year perhaps. I stayed in this hotel with my kids, a week before Soundwave in January of 2019 and it was fine temperature wise :) Would recommend! There was a fridge which was great and the beds and pillows were super comfy (king bed)!!! The Sawmill and other restaurants were very close, Ikea is close, WEM is about 17 minutes away, Superstore, liquor store, gas station all right across the street so very convenient for those driving! Thanks for having us Cedar Park Inn!

We enjoyed our 2 night stay at this property. One of the highlights was the restaurant. We ate there the first night because it was raining and after 10 when we checked in. We ended up having dinner there the second night as well because we had such a good experience. The hotel was conveniently located.

I told my GPS to find a Best Western for me and I ended up at Best Western Cedar Park Inn and I am glad I did. I was greeted in a friendly and welcoming way and was soon heading up to my room. The room was wonderful - clean & quiet, the food and service in the restaurant was wonderful also - both for my evening meal and again for my breakfast. Next time I travel in the area, I will definitely stop there again.

Excellent service and very convenient location with number of restaurants in the vicinity, good restaurant inside the hotel, and easily accessible to LRT in case you do not want to drive to downtown. Staff are very friendly and helpful, and hotel is very clean.

Having stayed in many hotels over the years, I found my stay at this Best Western to be more than I expected after reading some of the reviews. My king bed room was spacious,clean and comfortable and came complete with a microwave, coffee pot and large fridge. The staff at the front desk and in the lounge could not have been more helpful. Check-in and checkout was a breeze. The full breakfast that is included in the price of the room was just that !! A FULL breakfast!! Variety of eggs, hash browns, cereals, sausage, waffles and pancakes. Something for everyone !! The only con on this day, was going out to my car in the morning and having the homeless sleeping right next to it. I will definitely stay here again

This was literally the grossest hotel I have ever stayed in. The bed looked like someone had slept in it for a month, there was hair on the washroom floor, crumbs on the carpet in the room, a vacuum (?) on the muddy balcony and a very DIRTY pool. It was seriously disgusting. After asking for someone to clean the room 3 times, they finally came up and cleaned it. We decided to go to the pool which was the cherry on top. You couldn't even see the bottom of the pool, Alberta Health Services should probably shut the pool down. There was also a random screw on the pool deck. For anyone looking at this hotel please do not waste your time or money like we did.

We are on a trip discovering cities we've not been to and didn't know where a good location in Edmonton was so booked with some trepidation. We found it quite convenient as we used public transit to get into town from here very successfully. The price was very good and we were really pleased with the service, the room, the breakfast and the cleanliness of our room. We were given a room upgrade which was a nice touch.

I got a price deal so it was especially good to stay here. I spent 25-30 nights here last year and hadn't been back in months; they've improved the restaurant menu, added free breakfast, and finished a fairly deep renovation of the hotel

The front desk is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and the hallways are large and bright. The only down side was the height of the bath tub in our room without any grab bars. The breakfast was very good.Great value for the price of a night to say. The bar onsite has good food too.

noise all night pipes were banging . TV remote did not work properly.Staff were polite. Would not advise staying with all the noise. Will not stay there again. Rooms are small compared to other best westerns. Location was good for our purpose

good hotel- the staff is excellent . room was great ( just avoid the king bed executive suite which was tiny and everything was very low) amenities not sufficient for a busy day at the hotel. the hotel has many rooms, we were on the last week of summer- small swimming pool was packed with people. line ups to breakfast c( which was excellent once you got there) were about 20 minutes. and not enough places to sit- so one needs to catch a sitting spot for a family and after they stood 20 minutes in the line up- I just gave up on breakfast, as I didn't feel like waiting 20 minutes more....I will book it again if I'll visit Edmonton- but only based on price, the rest will not be considered advantage.

The Best Western Cedar Park Inn exceeded our expectations. It is incredibly well-priced given its superior quality rooms and overall atmosphere. Our only complaint was with the restaurant staff who were always pre-occupied and didn't offer attentive service. Otherwise, an excellent choice for an Edmonton stay, particularly if you need to be close to U of A.

Well we got upgraded to a Jacuzzi room which was awesome because I could not see that room type available at this hotel via the on-line check-in. So off to a good start until we arrived in the room. Was we don't have a cable subscription at my new apartment in Fort Mc, we were looking forward to a bit of TV watching. But the remote did not work, low battery I guess, so called the front desk. The guy arrived with a new remote, but couldn't figure out how to sync it to our TV. He goes way a brings back anpther one, which turns out to be worse than the first. That sucked. Well screw this, Let's fill the hot tub. Low hot water pressure Took forever to fill just to rinse the jets and tub. Drain and fill again, add soap and had a nice tub with lots of bubbles. Until we get out. The soap residue was black and we did not just come from tilling the field. Classic sign of a poorly cleaned and maintained tub. Probable because of the low pressure for hot water. Never mind, let's go to bed. No mattress cover and poorly fitting fitted sheet. Likely because of the big lumpy bed. The worst I ever had at any BW Inn. OK off to the pool in the morning and try to enjoy some of my stay. UGGG - dirty pool water. So cloudy, I could not see the pool steps. Enough, we are out of here, this was the worst Best Western Inn stay I ever had. We use the BW brand because of the quality of the hotels and have rarely been disappointed. As a Gold status member, I stay at many BW Inns and pick this brand first when booking. The Cedar Park Inn, does not belong n this class. Mike PS - I was offered a refund and said OK, But the refund still has not shown up on my Visa!! Grrr

Great price. Paid 88$ after taxes for one night. Room had a king size, nice bathroom, microwave and mini fridge. Check in was quick, simple and painless. Has a small pool. Gym is very basic. 4 desk top computers available for guests for free. Was allowed to print without any charges. Need your room key to access the elevator and certain hallways, the gym and probably the pool. Would be a 3.5 out of 5 stars but Rounded to 3 due to the average restaurant.

Best experience@ best western. My wife & I stayed one night at best western. It was fantastic. The best experience ever. The room was King executive room. It was super clean. Nice view. All in all we loved it. It was great.

If you like BED BUGS, dirty rooms, and IGNORANT staff .. you will love it here. Couldn't find a SINGLE Canadian who worked there ... ALL are 'foreigners' who are bent on destroying the good name of Best Western.

This hotel has always been clean and comfortable. Excellent price value. We stay at this hotel every time we are in Edmonton. We haven't used exercise or pool, so can't comment on those. Free parking.

The room was clean and adequate for our needs. There was a lot of noise with people slamming doors, laughing and talking loudly until well past midnight. No king rooms or suites were available when we booked so we had to take a double queen room which put us into a different floor and area of the hotel which quite likely would normally accommodate families and groups that use the pool facilities. Probably one reason for loud talking and much door slamming.

We stay at this best western for its location and price value. Beds are comfortable and rooms always clean. Very close to shopping and restaurants. Breakfast was included in the price, typical buffet breakfast style.

We decided to take an extra day to get home. Since the hotel stay was unplanned, I looked for the most affordable hotel with a pool. The price was great and the kids loved their pool area. Will definitely be back.

The service we received was exceptional, Mandeep at reception was very friendly & helpful in checking us in. The room was very clean and nicely decorated with comfy beds and a nice couch along with a desk and char. Good location and amenities. The breakfast was really good with ample variety to choose from. Nothing to complain about. It was a pleasant stay.

Family trip with the grandkids, went to k days and other places around Edmonton so this location was very central to everything, even though it is located between the north and south lanes of a busy area it was nice and quiet in our room, breakfast was nice and had good selection, the dining area was nice and felt cozy, we liked the added security on the elevator of having to scan your room card to activate it, very nice place to stay and last but not least the service was top shelf, great staff from all all areas.

We often stay at this hotel when in Edmonton. It is reasonably priced, easy access to Strathcona and downtown plus we have never had a bad experience. Room is always clean, reasonably quiet, room is comfortable and breakfast is amazing. The breakfast had yogurt, oatmeal, fruit, omelet, sausage, waffles, pancakes, toast, muffins, juice, coffee and tea. We are at the restaurant and it was very good and prices were reasonable. Will stay here again.

There is a restaurant on the main floor which is handy. We had dinner there. The food was good. Had Cheeseburger and salad. My husband had Philly sandwich and fries. Do not go to their VLT lounge. The machines are very greedy. No laundry facilities. The shower was good as was the room. It was very clean. The room has a microwave and fridge. There is a Supervalue right across the street. It comes with a complimentary breakfast which was very good. One of the elevators broke down when we were there which was a bit inconvenient.

One of the best hotel experience I've had so far. Service is A1. Staff is helpful and polite. Room is nice and comfy. Clean environment. Buffet breakfast is really good. A decent variety to chose from. I will definitely be booking my next stay whenever I visit Edmonton, Alberta again. Worth every dime.

The staff was nice and the location good but this hotel,is in serious need of some renovations. The rooms are very old and our wallpaper was peeling. The elevator was scary to ride in and not in great working order. Breakfast was good.

This hotel was an overall nice place to stay. Was disappointed with an alarm that kept going off and on all night long... Nice Breakfast, and rooms are clean. Checked in frustrated for the Best Western booked my actual stay at this hotel and made an error confusing the month. Fortunately there was a room available at the hotel. The hotel made things "workable" whereas I was disappointed with the Best Western themselves on the phone, for they gave no amends for their error telling me I now had to work it out with the hotel in regards to availability and pricing. This defeated the whole purpose of booking ahead in trying to save time and stress. I was presenting that evening and was delayed, etc. because of the situation. Especially as a Diamond member, I expected more from the Best Western Representative.

I came to Edmonton for an Emergency surgery for my dog. Chose this hotel because it was minutes from the clinic and their pet friendly. The hotel staff went above and beyond for me. To my dog getting sick and they took care of it, to cooking my dog hamburger patties so I could get his medicine into him. To allowing me to stay without paying as I didn't have my credit card and they waited until my husband got a hold of them to pay. It's this customer service that deserves all the praise and gratitude. Hotel is clean, quiet, great continental breakfast. I would highly recommend. Thank you to Robin, you allowing me to stay without a cc payment is the sweetest thing that I've had happen to me in a very long time. Thank you!! I will never forget that.

Clean rooms, all renovated. SUPER friendly staff. The breakfast was great for a Best Western. They had a pancake maker, waffle makers, selection of yogurts, and sausages and eggs. My only complaint is that they need more fruit at breakfast.

Older remolded hotel on the Calgary Trail.. Have used it a number of times..The facility provides basic accomodations.. Food is available but limited.. There is a small lounge next to the front desk.. Parking is outside along the sides of the building.. I use it for its location.. Rooms have been renovated but not to great standards... The hotel is in constant use so you see the wear and tear it is taking..

Good place to stay walking distance to many restaurants and shopping very clean and includes a hot breakfast would definitely stay here again! Restaurant located in the hotel and a pool. And yes there is water pressure which in some hotels is hard to find!

The staff were great, and the room was clean. This was my 2nd stay at this Best Western hotel and it was terrific as always. I would definitely recommend this hotel, as it has a great location with quick easy access to vital roads to get you around Edmonton.

Decided to stay at this place because it was within walking distance of my daughters workplace. It was nice, clean rooms and dining area was well kept. The onsite restaurant was open during the day but only served appetizers up to about 5:00 pm(?) and that is when the full serve started. We ate later in the evening and the food was wonderful. Even talked to the chef/cook, and made some suggestions about the wine serve. That day they were only selling wines by the glass. We suggested at least by the half-litre because we like are wine. the business center is located in the main lobby, easy to use. But did notice that one chair was tattered. Not sure if we would go back because we are transport drivers and have to be able to park the semi. If the place is full or busy parking becomes an issue.

The room was average- only issue with the room itself was that the bathroom door didn't close at all. There must have been some expanding as the door wouldn't go into the door frame. The hotel had a nice breakfast included each morning. I found the location very convenient. The parking was a nightmare- it would have been better if people parked correctly. 15 or so cars were parked over the line which meant they took up two parking spots. The hotel was full- so this was an issue. Given, as i stated that the hotel was full, it was surprisingly quiet.

Had a great stay, the room was very clean and spacious, all amenities in the room worked perfectly. Staff was helpful and courteous. Great room at a great price. Easy access to main roads. I highly recommend it.

I like the hotel if I do business in the south of Edmonton very central and accessible to the city in 15 min and around the malls and the big South IKEA and south Commun shopping area. The room are small but the prices here are very good .

Good breakfast. Poor water pressure and HVAC takes a long time to reach setpoint. Elevator seems to have not seen a service for years. Pillows are large and super firm. Good for reading and TV. No good for sleeping. Bring your own. Front desk claims all pillows are like that so it seems they have known about this issue for a good while. I went to Walmart to get a decent $3.47 pillow. Still reasonable value.

We had no idea where to stay and what to expect.The Best Western name has always been good and we had stayed the night before at the BW in Kamloops, so we thought it was worth the chance. The hotel is huge and has a very large parking lot. We will definitely stay their again in the future.

Excellent array of options at breakfast. Friendly staff at check in/out and in the breakfast room. Neat room and comfy bed. Wifi was good too. However, air extractor in the bathroom was very noisy and TV remote keys didn't function properly.

Stayed for business in the area, it was within walking distance to my appointment. I would stay here again. They could pay a little more attention to cleaning their reception area the doors coming into the facility were filthy.

We traveled to hotel to find chips on the floor and end table of our room and also stains on our sheets with hair and food aswell. Talked to front desk and they gave us a new room. We reported a broken hair dryer and left a note for staff they left on back telling us to push reset button this didnt work and they didnot fix it. The 3rd day there we get back to the room to find brown stains on the new towels hanging up and a room that was not vacuumed. I told the front desk about this and they said that this would not happen again. No offer of a discount or anything.

This location is making renovations but it would be an added assets to have two 2 chairs in a room not just one. Also the hot tub was not up to standard clean. Upgrade the elevator. Waste basket in bathroom not just the toilet cubicle .

I especially want to acknowledge the front desk staff, Haspreet, for accommodating us when we had to have a late check out. We travelled with our 14 month old and she was napping at the time of check- out so he accommodated us by allowing us to stay past the 11:00 check out time. Thank you again and we will definitely be staying here again when we visit Edmonton.

We had to stay in Edmonton in order to tour both U of A and St Jean campus. This hotel is 15 minutes away from St Jean Campus and 5 minutes from U of A, close to main roads, clean and across the street from many restaurants, grocery store, liquor store and gas station. Definitely provided everything we needed.

We made our reservation through Air Miles, but also contacted the hotel before check in to confirm. The front desk was person was quick and friendly and asked us to give them 30mins before going to our room. We obliged and went and got some wine and snacks. I was my birthday weekend. Upon entering the room, we seen a comfy queen bed and 2person jacuzzi. Which we of course fired up right away. It was so relaxing. There were some hockey teams staying on the same floor. We could hear them playing around during the day, but not a peep at night. The breakfast buffet was excellent, we loved the option of the paper plates to go back to our room. Great hotel location. This was our 2nd visit here, and we would definitely go back, next time with the kids.

The staff was friendly and accommodating. The continental breakfast was huge and fulfilled our needs (family of 3). The price was very reasonable, under $100./night and the rooms were very clean with good water pressure.

Great value overall for the services received. Nice room, decent breakfast, good location. Only issue was the price of an in room movie at $ 24.99 on a 32" screen. I could rent the same movie on my 70" at home with Shaw in 4K for $ 6.99. I believe in paying for convenience, but not coughing up a lung for it.

On a recent trip to this hotel in January my husband was moved rooms due to bedbugs. The staff did not offer any type of compensation except for a room move. Their policy for lost and found items is also disappointing, when we called to enquire about an item lost while switching rooms we were told it was thrown out after a month.

After spending our first night stay in a horrible hotel with a horrible exp. we decided to look for other affordable hotels in Edmonton. Not only was this best western affordable and had availability last minute. We were greeted and checked in quickly the hotel is beautiful the rooms were very nice and cozy bright design very welcoming. The resultant served amazing food for dinner and the free breakfast had a great selection so many things to choose from. I will definitely stay here again when I'm in the city.

Property is located south side Edmonton in a very central location which is awesome for shopping. Close to gateway boulevard and Calgary trail so heading north or south is convenient. Hotel staff are really friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Free breakfast buffet is good. Have seen better but this is certainly satisfying.

I always stay at the Best Western Cedar when I come into Edmonton. Because I bring my dogs with me the hotel is adequate for the amount of price you pay. They do take dogs and they are working on making it a little easier to get to the dog rooms. New owners have recently taken over the hotel and are starting to do some updates to the renovations. I'm sure in time they will get it to a spot where they are very pleased with it. I enjoy the Best Western Hotels I always stay at Best Western I never stay anywhere else.. the hotel is situated in a very good area close to getting to everything you need. They have a special floor for dogs or pets shall I say it's a little difficult to get to because right now you can only take your trolley so far and then you have to take your stuff up some stairs but they are going to fix that I've Been Told. I will continue to stay at the Best Western Cedar as my trips to Edmonton bring me there and I bring my dogs.

I booked here with my husband and baby as it was close to family that I was visiting and was supposed to have an indoor pool. I booked using the general reservation line and was told that there was a working pool after I had asked. When I got there to check in no one at the front desk informed us that the pool in fact was under renovations. When I found out and asked for one night compensation for when the pool was working, they told me it was impossible and they could only give me 20% off our stay. They said there was a note on the website about it. The note was near the bottom of the page and extremely small and I found out you had to actually click on it so see that whole message about it. Also when I originally booked I had requested to get an early check in as I was bringing my baby and had to keep calling the hotel a number of times in order to get an actual check in time. I'd say that only good thing about this place was the food at the buffet. However I would have gladly drove to a local breakfast place if it meant having a working pool in a hotel and better communication by staff.

Was in town and picked this hotel because of location and it was a really good price. Over all our stay was good but the room needed to be cleaner then it was. We found dark hair in our bathtub and on our bathroom floor and the curtains had some type of disgusting brown stain on them. The lighting in the room also wasn't very good. Check in was great with very helpful staff and breakfast was wonderful with a huge assortment of hot and cold breakfast items with lots of seating. I did try to let the front desk know in the morning about the cleaning issue but the lady was busy on the phone and didn't take the time to ask me how my stay was so I left. They are in the middle of renovations so i'm hoping next time will be better.

My expectations are high and I must say , this trip was good. While knowing I am not entitled to an early check in, the agent was so apologetic. Sh eventually found me a room and checked me in. Thanked me for my status and business and ensure I was enrolled in the current promotions. Renovations are ongoing but the room was nicely done- again! Under new ownership since 5 month ago and they are trying. If the door does not close, it beeps and I like that. Some rooms have robes & slippers - nice tough. the water pressure is better and finally, mouthwash which is sealed! bed is super comfy but I had to leave early. The addition of breakfast buffet is OK and your typical breakfast served by all. I wish they would have BOTH elevators functioning at ALL times due to the layout of the hotel which would make it easier. I hope they do away with that $100 per night for incidentals - should be $50 like other class hotels like themselves. Yes, I know it will be released but that amount if reserved for 5 star rated hotels with mini-bars and restaurants on site.

If you've read any of my other reviews you may know that I stay about 100 nights per year in hotels as I travel for business. Best Western hotels are usually reasonable but I was pretty disappointed with this one. I typically stay at a competitors hotel in Edmonton but Best Western had a promotion that if you stay 2 nights then you get a free stay so I decided it would be worth it. Best Western no longer has a location in West Edmonton and the price was great so I thought I'd give it a try. I hadn't stayed at this site for a while and the last time it was under renovations so I hoped it would be newly renovated and I would put it on my list of potential hotels for the future. Check in went fine but when I got to the room I could see they hadn't done all they should have on the renovations. The door to the room wasn't self closing but that wasn't a big deal. However, once in the room I found there was no toilet paper. I went to the phone on the desk but there was no button or instructions on how to call the front desk. I went back down to the lobby and about 10 minutes later the clerk brought me a roll of toilet paper she said she took from another room. I settled in as I had some work emails to do so I fired up my laptop and logged on to the free wifi. Unfortunately, it kept dropping after about 15 minutes and I never could get it to hold the connection very long. Needless to say I won't stay here again and wouldn't recommend this hotel for business travellers for sure.

If you are looking for a cheap place to stay you do get that here. Unfortunately the room sizing is small. They do have a number of rooms that have repair problems that should not be rented out but they don't seem to see a problem.

The room is very spacious & clean. The heater is very quiet that does not interrupt your sleep during the night. The complimentary breakfast is excellent. The staff are very helpful & quick. The location is near to many shopping center & restaurants.

I have stayed here 4 times and will continue to do so. The price is very reasonable, the rooms have been refreshed, it is very clean and very helpful staff. Though on the south side it is still only about 10 min to downtown.

It was a good stay for my son and me at this hotel. It is a family hotel and staff is very friendly and accommodating, especially I'd like to say a big thank you to Mandeep. We have breakfast buffet included, it has a variety of choices. Room was clean, we have a room service daily. In our room we had a fridge and microvawe.Superstore is right across our hotel, and everything you need, you can get there. I highly recommend this hotel!

This hotel is under renovation and they didn't let people know before they check in. The renovations that they have done to the rooms are not great at all, it looks like someone just tossed some paint and wallpaper on the walls and called it good. The outlet in the bathroom wouldn't even stay in the wall. The water had a bad odor, the pool wasn't working. Which was one reason we picked this hotel.

stayed as a family of three and the staff was all very helpful and courteous room was clean and turn down was to the best of standard I was amaze great housekeeping team .spend two night and will definitely recommend this place to others and be returning myself in the future .a little bit disappointed that the pool wasn't operation during our stay but nevertheless great stay.

Very good hotel. Great staff, conveniently located near fantastic shopping, a Park and Ride lot and the LRT. This is our "go to" accommodation when traveling to Edmonton for either shopping or attending sporting events.

Within a week of my departure, I found this hotel between two areas I needed to be. The BW Cedar Park Inn was the best value for services received including daily free breakfast and a fitness room. The hotel is about a 20 minute walk to Southgate Shopping Centre and the ETS (Edmonton Transit). The bus stop is a minute walk away which can take you to the ETS to transfer to the train to Whyte Ave, University of Alberta etc. There is a Superstore across the road and many restaurants nearby. The room had a fridge, microwave and coffee maker.

Excellent service and accommodations. Received an upgrade since I am a Gold Member. We were disappointed that the pool and hot tub were closed for renovations. We were there on Black Friday and spent the morning shopping so were late for lunch. Restaurant accommodated us with appies since closed between lunch and dinner.

Excellent facility, friendly staff, good breakfast selections & location however currently undergoing some renovations so ensure amenities important to you are operational.However clean and comfortable with free parking !

This is an inexpensive, older hotel in South Edmonton. It is currently being renovated, but the work had zero impact on my stay. My renovated room was quite nice and modern. The mechanical systems are still a little dated, but the room was QUITE comfortable. The hotel is very clean. Rooms include refrigerators and microwaves. The complimentary breakfast is fairly standard, and well done. The pool was not available during my stay (renovations), so I cannot comment on it. Do not pay extra for a balcony, unless you are a smoker. The balconies are not well maintained, and they do not appear to clean up after the careless smokers who are content to leave their butts on the balcony floor. That's a SHARED responsibility. Overall, this is excellent value.

We had a very Traumatizing situation with the Holiday Inn Express in Downtown Edmonton and this hotel gave us a room at 430 in the morning and we stayed there for 2 nights. The staff was amazing and we would recommend this place to anyone.

We always try to stay here as we have found that the service, location, facility is top notch. An added bonus this time was the complimentary breakfast which was excellent . the rooms were great, the parking good, centrally located

The Hotel is small but nice they doing a lot job now and I know is going to look great !The staff is very mix and cultural and made unpredictable, something that is normal for them can be a bit strange for the client. But with the best intention!Good price and very close to most of the cool places in Town. :)

Happen to stay in the hotel for a weeks ... the location was quite close to my office .. ample parking space was available.. the things that I didnt like were non availability of the swimming pool for my stay period .. the breakfast buffet was similar the entire week .. Overall I would like to book another hotel if happened to visit the city again

Location is excellent. The hotel has entrances and exits to all the one way routes around it, so getting there is not a problem. Sound proofing to exterior is very good. We couldn't hear any noise from outside. We stayed on the first floor. Close to lots of eateries with a variety of choices.

Upon first driving up to the Cedar Park Inn I was unsure as to staying there as I had made an error thinking we were at a different location. The hotel is situated right between two very busy streets so I was concerned about the noise. The lovely girl at reception understood and happily took us up to see our room. It met all our expectations, thank you for being so cheerful and chatty with us. To be honest only in the morning did we notice the beginning of the traffic but it wasn't horribly loud. I would stay there again.

We stayed at the BW Cedar Park Inn on September 30 for the Paul MacCartney concert. The thermometer was reading 27 degrees in the room when we arrived back from the concert. We called the front desk and were told there was nothing they could do, they had turned the AC off for the season. The suggested opening the window (didn't help) and said they would bring a fan (they did not). To top this all off, we booked the room on points and when I returned home, I saw they had charged $160 to my credit card. This place is not good.

Quick check in, express check out, clean room, very comfortable beds and hot breakfast downstairs. Well decorated and very quiet. Spacious lobby with computer and printer available for guests to use. We enjoyed our stay.

So we get to the hotel just to find out we have to put a 300$ deposit for a 83$ room when the fantasy land hotel charges 200$ deposit for a room with a hot tub. The worst part is when we called to reserve a room that was never mentioned. In the end I will never come back to this location every again!

Booked directly with the front desk. I had to book 2 rooms, one for myself, and one for my other driver. They gave him the same rate as mine as a diamond, He was impressed and told several people about his room, and how nice it was. Room was very good and comfortable. didn't take advantage of the breakfast, not feeling well, but my other driver said it was good.

While the room was comfortable, the staff were not welcoming, hospitable or helpful. As two seniors traveling with a pet and some mobility issues, the lack of elevator service to our first floor room (up a short flight of stairs from the lobby) was very inconvenient. Also the inability to access ice and a beverage machine. Our room card prohibited use of the elevator to a floor that offered these amenities. We will not stay in this Best Western hotel again as it was a huge departure from the friendly service we have experienced at other Best Western hotels!

We stayed for 5 days. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The housekeeping staff was more than accommodating to.our needs. Service staff at front desk and in the restaurant were exceptional as well. I would definitely stay here again when in Edmonton.

Pool closed, room was not the one we booked and we had to eat tater tots instead of real hash browns in the restaurant. The hotel normally is great but this work is causing the standards to slide. Hope this changes back to the way it was once renovations are complete.

We were pleasantly surprised at how quiet the room was, since the hotel is next to 3 very busy streets. The location made it easy to get to various destinations quickly.Superstore & McDonalds are easy to walk to (across the street) for snacks.

Since I have stayed in the Bonnyville Best Western for the past 7 months I was curious if another location would meet the same standard. They did. Love the modern look of the hotel. Clean and crisp lobby friendly, helpful staff comfortable beds. Would definitely stay here again

This was a great stay. Apart from the young lady that checked me out. Dont let 1 bad apple ruin the whole bushel though. Great staff other than her!!! Internet was a little temperamental with my VPN but fast when it didnt kick me off...lol

It might be a older hotel but couldn't have been nicer. Our upgrade was super. Lots of room. Comfy beds. Great amenities. Extremely friendly front desk staff. Their room rates are excellent. The house cleaning staff were amazing. We were very happy with everything

What a nice change of venue. The Hotel is quiet, clean and comfortable. Location is good for the area I needed to be in. Convenient to facilities, stores, and restaurants and shopping. Room was quiet, and enjoyable. The Fridge was very convenient. Coffee good too.

Hotel was very nice. I like that you need a key card to use the elevator and stairs. Made it secure with my 2 year old. The hotel has been updated since my last stay and is more modern. This place is about 15 minute drive from the mall and a short drive from downtown. Only problem I had was that the ac wasnt working. Not much of a problem if your away from your room.

I expected a lot, I should say, as we love staying at Port O Call in Calgary, but I know they do not have a water park, though I expected that it should be clean -- the pool is just too old and water in the pool looks so gross, tiles are yucky. I just want my kids to enjoy after the long day at the mall, but I am really hesitant to let them in the pool, I was just thankful of the smell of chlorine. Whats more, they ran out of toilet paper in the washroom pool area, there's nobody around I rush to get the paper towels by the sink...the paper towel dispenser was broken..that was just so great! Thankful for cellphones that my husband went in for the rescue! The only good thing here was the front desk lady was so friendly, and she was also the one who delivered the pool towels. I think they have problems in refreshing all kinds of towels in this hotel. We checked in at 8 pm, checked out at 7 am, which is a good thing as I do not want to stay for so long in this hotel. The air conditioning is good, not great as it created a creepy noise, but oh well, my kids slept through it, I can manage. So disappointed.

This hotel is amazing. It is newly renovated and absolutely beautiful! The price was under $100 a night which makes it one of the more coat effective ones in Edmonton, but with the best value because everything is new and renovated. Love this hotel!

We stayed here 5 nights in July /2018. We called ahead of time to book. We booked 2 queen beds, and we were upgraded to a king bed. Staff at front desk were very friendly and helpful. Room was very nice. I would definitely stay there again, and would highly recommend it.

This Best Western is an embarrassment to the Best Western chain of hotels. We are Best Western Awards members and ALWAYS take advantage of staying at a Best Western whenever possible when we travel. However we STRONGLY RECOMMEND you DO NOT stay at this particular hotel. Hair on the floor in the bathroom...totally disgusting and similar around the room and balcony area. What a disgusting place. Do NOT stay here as you will be very very disappointed. Tons of other Best Westerns to stay at in Edmonton so do that. We stayed here Only because it was close to where we had to visit and deal with...What a mistake....Yuck...came home and took a shower just to feel clean again.

At first site the hotel is clean, convenient to get to and affordable. Lounge is small, 2 tables and full of VLT gamers testing there luck. Worst bed ever. Very noisy inside and out. I think next time I'll pay a bit more and stay at a different Best Western

The hotel lobby is beautifully bright, clean, welcoming and spacious. The elevator is a bit slow so I found that taking the stairs was a bit easier as we were on the first floor right next to the access door. The room was comfortable and clean, my kids enjoyed watching the traffic and while I could hear it a bit the noise was quite muffled. The only downside to this hotel was the fact there was no breakfast included and since we had to be somewhere early both mornings we were there we didn't have time to eat breakfast in the restaurant.

Hotel has been recently updated. Rooms were very clean and beds were comfortable. Room has a fridge and wide screen tv. It has a Superstore and liquor store across the street. Also a Mcdonalds and Tony Romas across the street. The hotel has a pool but I didn't go in it. Bar staff were nice and they even have slot machines in the bar area. Overall, good stay. I would do it again.

The staff were fabulous. They were helpful, friendly and went above and beyond. We were with a large group and our accommodations included breakfast. It was an absolute fiasco the first morning. They ran out of food. They ran out of plates. They ran out of cutlery. Communication is the key as the individuals organizing the food were only told the number of rooms booked and not the number of people. Since many of the rooms were double occupancy that doubled the amount of food required. As well, everyone in our group had to get out for the same time that morning. The breakfast staff improved for the remaining four days. There was sufficient food, cutlery and plates. Unfortunately, every day the breakfast offerings were the same...scrambled eggs, pancakes and sausage patties (except the first day there were sausage links). One day, there were danishes in the pastry selection which was nice. By the end of our stay, the fifth day of the same breakfast foods, things were getting "stale". They had a number of different teas to choose from. It would have been nice if they had decaf, orange pekoe tea in their selection as well. The "Business Center" was three/four computers on a high table in the lobby. The printer attached to them did not work. This situation was not remedied during our stay of 5 nights. However, the front desk staff were accommodating as we had to print the boarding passes for our flight and they arranged for us to use their printer. The hotel has a "pool". It was a major disappointment. The pools at other Best Western's that we have stayed at have been large and suitable for swimming laps. We were excited to read that this pool was salt water. The pool is appropriate for going into with small children and/or to "hang out". The change rooms are small and do not have lockers. Do not go there expecting to be able to swim. It is much too small for that. The title of the review is "Fix the Toilets" as there were problems everywhere with the plumbing. Shortly after our arrival, maintenance came to replace the toilet ring on our toilet as it was showing up on their system as leaking. As well, periodically, the seal would not close in the toilet tank and we would have to lift the lid on the back and adjust it. From the start, the toilet in our second room only flushed if you lifted the lid and pulled on the chain. (Once reported, maintenance did come and repair the toilet.) A person we know in a third room came back to the room one night to discover the toilet "overflowing". The plumbing in the hotel is a big issue. There was barely any water pressure. The lack of water pressure and the toilet situations earned the "poor" rating for the hotel. If someone invested the money to overhaul the plumbing, the hotel would be a good place to stay. The issues we encountered were primarily due to the age of the building. The staff were great but were unable to compensate for the other issues. All in all, I wouldn't stay there again unless the plumbing were repaired/replaced.

I gave them an excellent rating only because they cancelled my reservation.., I booked via the Cedar Park website not realizing the booking agent is U.S., so my reservation was converted to US$. I'm Canadian, I refuse to pay US$ to stay in a Canadian hotel. By calling the hotel directly I was able to get almost a total refund. So I'm very thankful. The hotel's advice is to call directly to avoid US charges. I learned a valuable lesson about booking online! I had picked Cedar Park because the Red Arrow Bus used to pickup here. They have changed locations, so I booked with that hotel.

We were patrons at this hotel, along with our volleyball team for the National Championships this last weekend. The hotel staff were super efficient at checkin and checkout, they had to be due to the level of activity during this stay. They had no problem storing our ice block each night (for our cooler) and had no problem with our team meetings in the lobby. One really big test of the hotel staff's patience and professionalism was when we brought a table in that we had purchased. A storage room was made available for us and unfortunately we brought it in at checkin time (again, a super busy time for this distraction). I know many hotels out there would not have been nearly this patient with us during this time (super heavy and bulky and did admittedly cause a disturbance at such a busy time). Mary Ann was super patient and helpful when bringing this table into their storage room and another staff member, a young man, sorry did not catch your name was super awesome as well. This was a frustrating time for all involved and I thank you all for being so patient and helpful!!

I stay here everytime I'm in Edmonton. All rooms now renovated. Great large screen tv with remotes that have sleep timer. All lamps include regular and USB power plugs. I always take a king size room and they've always been very comfortable. I enjoy that it is surrounded by good selection of restaurants plus a large grocery store across the street. With large mini fridges and microwaves in all room, you have many options. Dine in or out. There is a restaurant on the ground floor but I have never eaten there. Front desk as well as housekeeping staff do a great job. Always kind and helpfull.

Not impressed with this hotel The floors in two different rooms felt dirty the rug in the hallway has been well used and is in need of replacing. Room doors bang shut. The staff we saw were pleasant enough. The restaurant was not up to the standard of your other hotels. After eating in the hotel we ordered out for food.

Overall my stay was good, staff were welcoming and nice! I went to the hotel because my friend from BC was down, so I got a Single Queen with a Jacuzzi, everything was good except for the Jacuzzi took forever to fill. But that's just first world problems.

Good location for getting around Edmonton. Hotel as promised, could perhaps update what they refer to as a lounge, a couple of tables & VLT machines, not very appealing. Would recommend this location & would stay there again.

Front desk staff was excellent, well trained and genuine people. Dealt with us and housekeeping in a professional manner when our room wasn't ready. Suni did all she can to get us in a room. They were also able to retrieve my wifes ring that she forgot after we check-out. Glad to see that there are still some honest people in this world.

Rough... Lobby looks good .... and that's the end. Front desk staff took 1.5hrs To check me in..AT 1AM. I understand...most hotel dislike the third party vendors (Expedia,hotels.ca etc) but when you come in at 1am and there is a slight problem with YOUR computers (as the room is prepaid with the vendor) and YOUR systems...dont put it on the customer, dont raise the price, dont leave them sitting in the lobby until 2:45am... and dont NOT respond to complaint letter laying out how you were mistreated. Rooms are old and dated, never saw the pool or the gym,too much of a fiasco, had to get out of there. Elevators are vandalized, lack of pride shows in this one. They dont advertise breakfast, but provided one ... but nothing hot, or fresh ..cereal and empty fruit salad bowl... warming plates got your Hope's up, but the pantry was bare. Low price cant make up for this one, go south, many better options. Best Western should remove their brand of this one.

The gym is inadequate. The bike collapsed on me, another maintenance person couldn't help us turn on the treadmill. The breakfast is lacking and leaves you wanting. Bring your own coffee. Bring your own yogurt. You will not sleep if your room faces the street. The check-in staff don't know their jobs.

Very helpful staff at reception. As Best Western Platinum member received a discount and an upgrade. Very impressed with what appears to be be relatively recent upgrades or renovations. Excellent location if looking for a south central Edmonton location. Heaps of restaurants within walking distance. Gas bar, liquor store and large Superstore grocery store across the street. Have already made reservations for next trip to Edmonton.The card security system linked to elevator and being floor specific makes one feel safe and secure.

I like the hotel the staff is great but if you use the fitness room at all is very poor equipment, in bad condition and poor quality, and located in a very bad extremely hot room. If I wasn't interested in the fitness room I would've been pleased with my stay

My wife , niece, and my self came here for a visit to visit my oldest niece in the hospital. We were given an upgrade to an executive but was the same as the room I booked elevator went down right away the stair well was littered with garbage and beer cans and the pool was smaller then I've ever seen in a hotel. The only good thing was the staff was really good I wouldn't come back here.

We booked a King suite for our family of 3 to stay. A day before we were to come, they called me because they overbooked that type of room, so they changed our room type to an Executive King. Won't sleep 3 but they didn't care. Then when my family got to the hotel they changed our room again to a Queen room. How was this supposed to sleep 3 people? Again they didn't care. What terrible service and lack of caring. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!

This is my second visit and I'm so happy this hotel takes dogs. It's a great place good location on the staff for fantastic. If you're just wanting a good hotel for good money and you have your pets with you this is the one to choose.

We were booked for the fifth floor [in a business suite]. Unfortunately we found out after checking in very late that the heating and cooling system could not be adjusted. It was close to 80 degrees fahrenheit [26 celcius] in the suite. We had to open the window to try to cool things down – but could not to that for too long or we would have gotten a chill. [our stay was in March] We moved the second night to another floor. We had a much better second night. Good Things About This Hotel: *The beds are clean and comfortable *Front line service workers are helpful *Attentive service from housekeeping staff *The rooms are simple and well appointed *The price is good *Business Centre *Good Security in the building *On-site restaurant *The property is well located -- near shopping, restaurants and has easy access to the highway There are more pluses here so we would stay here again. Until they fix that operational concern for the fifth floor we will be sure to book on any other floor.

I arrived on the room just to find hair strands on the sheets and stains on the pillow sheets. No answer on the phone from both the front desk and the service number 5 times!!! Worst hotel! The plugs in the rooms are so loose that it doesn't hold a phone charger in place properly!

Overall the hotel is average, not much as changed since I last visited it back in 2013 except for the exterior painting. The carpet, washroom and plumbing could do with some upgrade. One of the best locations on Calgary Trail.

Great hotel in the outskirts of the city, just South of downtown. The locatation is great as far as shopping. A lot of restaurants and shops around the hotel. Walmart a couple blocks south and then the WhiteMud drive which takes you on a loop around the city is just a few hundred meters away. If you take the white mud drive west you will find the WEM, West Edmonton mall, very easy and you have shopping and entertainment for a whole day. So this hotel is great if you like to tourist Edmonton and you have wheels. The breakfast is not included, not even a small continental which is the only minus. Rooms and clean and tightly without being fancy, but it is also reflected in the price. Jessica in the reception does a great job. Thanks for superior service and hospitality.

Nice place but it is one that does not do breakfast. The rooms are not quite as big as you would find in most BW. Access was easy and good. There were no noice issues. Staff were very good. The lounge/restaurant was good and reasonably priced. issues.

We booked with this hotel on a whim to have a night away. Drive two hours with our toddler and me being 7.5 months pregnant. When we arrived to the city we realized we had left our credit card at home. However the room was already paid in full through booking.com. If that wasn't enough our vehicles engine light came on when we were entering town. I walked into this hotel exhausted, frustrated and extremely emotional only to be refused for a reservation I had already paid for. No empathy, no sympathy and a rather rude front desk clerk who made a fake phone call to her manager as I asked to speak with him. Will never stay in this hotel ever!

Stayed here for one night while doing a course in Edmonton. Check in staff was rude and not very helpful with any questions I had. Checked into the room and ended up having one of the worst sleeps ever at any hotel. Lots of outside noise and could hear people talking all throughout the night temperature in the room fluctuated throughout the night without adjusting anything??!! In the morning went outside to see that my vehicle was broken into and numerous things stolen from it. Management couldn't even be bothered to give me a call and so I needed up having to return after my course to speak with them myself. All in all a horrible experience and wouldn't recommend it to anybody. Lots of sketchy transients floating around the area searching through vehicles and being being a general nuisance.

Say, this is a great little hotel. Clean, Quiet, well-managed and a great value. This is the fifth time I've been here and it continues to offer good value for money. The restaurant has the best chicken club no sandwich in the Western Canada, but don't touch the hashbrowns.

This hotel is conveniently located and easy to find on the south side of the city near family we were there to visit. Excellent value for the dollar without giving up anything I expect in a fine hotel.Never one to be easily impressed, it was clean and comfortable providing all the amenities with a friendly, efficient and helpful staff. What more could I ask for?

Visited this hotel for one night. Hotel have not restaurant or cafe for breakfest. On walking distance many restaurant and shoping options are. Staff was friendly, room was clean. Also we got conference room for working. There where very cold in elevator- it is placed on building facade and not heated.

We booked a one night stay over the winter break, as we were visiting family in Edmonton. The room was very clean and well maintained. We appreciated that we were able to bring our little dog with us, as the hotel is pet friendly. There was nothing particularly special about the hotel, though. The view from our room was of Superstore. We stayed during a cold spell, and unfortunately the heater in the room didn't seem to be working properly, so although we set the temperature for 21 degrees, it was only 16 degrees when we woke up in the morning. Nonetheless, our stay was fine, and the location was convenient for us.

I appreciated the ability to call the hotel directly to make a reservation; easy quick process. The price was very reasonable! Staff very friendly and professional. Surprised to discover my room has a separate bedroom area, unlike the usual hotel one room. Have stayed here before and have enjoyed it because of its quality & location.

This hotel is older but adequate it is dog friendly. Although there is not much green space for the dogs to go to the bathroom. And I found that everyone was leaving their poop behind so I feel that there should be some signs posted please pick up your poop. The dog-friendly rooms are good they have no carpeting vinyl flooring which is just great. The hotel staff is very friendly and everything you would need is close by shopping liquor stores it's a convenient place to get to.

This hotel was very polished on the interior but the room are thrown together cheaply, the service was sub par, and was not a very good stay all together. The best western south is a much better location for not a lot more money

We were treated well by the desk and our room was great. Our disappointment was due to the bland appearance and sparsely furnished restraint. The evening serving staff acted as though we were an inconvenience to her and she would rather go home.

We typically stay with family but chose to stay in this location for it's convenience and also specifically booked a queen room with a Jacuzzi tub for a romantic night away, only to find out the tub wasn't in working order. We were 'upgraded' to a king room which didn't feel like an upgrade at all because the room was tiny in comparison, and also cheaper in value. We found our hotel room quite noisy because is was facing 51 Avenue. I used Best Western Rewards money for the room so I spent nothing out of pocket but had I paid with my own money I would have been extremely disappointed. I've stayed in much nicer Best Western Hotels with more amenities for similar monetary value.

Our room was perfectly taken care of, and the woman, her name was Jessica (she's so sweet!) at the front desk helped us with everything even though we had some trouble with our room. Nonetheless, everyone was so kind and friendly, would definitely recommend.

Great place to stay.. my preferred place to sleep! Great dinner.. clean room. I'm going to stay here again.. The 200 charatures require to complete this post is a little over board by trip advisor. So stupid!!!!!

The staff are friendly and efficient. I would stay at this hotel again. The location was easily accessible from the airport by shuttle and close to shopping. They have lots of parking. The breakfast was really good. Lots of chose.

Excellent pace to stay when in Edmonton for medical appointments rate is very good and close to the Grey Nuns Hospital and the University of Alberta Hospital. All you need is proof of appointment. Very economical if you have to travel quite often to Edmonton for medical appointments.

Enjoy this hotel to come visit out son. we wish you had a free continenal breakfast. would be a great atrraction for us. nice location, no hot tub, we missed that. overall a very good experience for us.

Stayed at other places in Edmonton and always end up going back to this hotel and location. Surrounded my restaurants and right in front of major grocery store makes this hotel the perfect location. At least for business travellers.

The hotel was nothing like I was expecting. It had old facilities and the internet was poor. They had no idea on how to treat elite members, they sent me away even after I booked and told them I would be arriving early...

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room/bathroom was clean, quiet hotel too on the 5th floor. We would stay here again when in the Edmonton area. We had quick drinks and appetizer in the restaurant and the service was very quick as we were in a bit of a hurry.

The hotel is older, but it's in a great location, right on Calgary Trail, the staff are nice, the rooms are clean, beds comfy, and parts of the bathroom have been renovated, so the age doesn't matter.

There were two crazy ladies when I checked in wanting their money back because the pool was broken and complaining they took a hold off their card, all hotels take holds on cards crazy ladies!?! That's how you pay for the room and incidentals. What do you expect for a budget reasonably priced hotel in a city? It's a good location, lots of amenities nearby, rooms are updated and clean, staff were friendly, good tv. That's about all I care about, oh and it was reasonably priced, if you want “fancy” pay for fancy crazy ladies, I mean it was $100 cheaper a night VS four points, and $130 cheaper than delta, come on.

The housekeeping and staff are exceptional. Our room was excellent with a great nights sleep. Will definitely stay here again as it is convenient to restaurants and shopping. We were on the back side of the hotel and it was very quiet. However, and it is a big HOWEVER. I would not eat in the restaurant or patronize the lounge as service and food were extremely bad. We were the only ones in the lounge and the waitress was unable to provide a written wine list or give us prices. She verbally gave us some choices only to be told they were out of one of our choices a couple of minutes later. Then she left the lounge area to get our wine out of a back room. The whole process probably took about 7 or 8 minutes. The breakfast is not included so we went to the restaurant. There was a single lady guest and us. The waitress was also the cook and disappeared for minutes unend. When we were served our food it was cold and not appealing. We didn't want to return it as we didn't want to wait any longer. The lounge and restaurant were really bad when the actual hotel part of our stay shone like a diamond. Sorry, but you did let us down. This hotel is definitely better than this and i would suggest getting more and better staff in the lounge and restaurant or closing these as there is lots of competition in the are for food and drink.

I hadn't stayed at this venue for a couple of years and upon checking in to both the hotel and my room, I was quite impressed with the interior upgrades that had been made. This venue is centrally located for the client I had to visit. Staff are very cordial and professional. The only issue that I have with this venue is the environmental fee of $3.95 per night as this is not a normal charge that I have encountered at other. BW's. When I asked about it, I was advised that it is for the planting of trees & garbage pu etc. To me, this is a cost of operating the business. There is a great looking dining room that does serve breakfast however, the breakfast is not incl in the hotel stay but they do offer a disc for meals to their guests. I would definitely stay here again.

They had a breakfast made just for us. There was no variety and it was the same thing every day but at least it was something they could offer us and they always asked us what time we would like it ready for. We appreciated free breakfast when you have a team of 12 girls. Thanks!

Sayed here for 4 nights. Reception very friendly and helpful Room looked clean and pleasant. Good amenities in the bathroom and coffee and tea as well in the bedroom. No breakfast included but prices are very reasonable. Overall a good place at the right price close to the city centre ( 10 minutes by car)

We have stayed at this hotel often when going to edmonton, whether shopping, or meetings, on the south side. Lots of good restaurants close by, and shopping, South Gate shopping centre and south common stores too, if road noise is what keeps you up ask for a room on the back side, we found it very acceptable for noise.

I had another wonderful stay at Best Western Cedar Park Inn, Edmonton, Alberta for a night. From the booking to check in and all the prompt and courteous treatment, the stay was worth its while. Of course, this my hotel of choice whenever I am in Edmonton. Excellent services, please do not rest on your oars.

I enjoyed my stay from September 11-14. On checking out I was informed I had a charge from the restaurant from last evening. I clearly stated I had not eaten in the restaurant other than on my first night at the hotel and had paid for my meal on debit. I was told I would not be charged and she would look into it. Hearing nothing I believed the mistake had been rectified. Disappointed to find I was charged $21.75. I will be contacting my bank unless I hear from the management of the hotel with an apology and refund.

Newly renovated Inn with great staff overall, nice Jacuzzi room and appearance of inside is appealing to us. Front desk was very helpful and friendly as it was our first time in this hotel. The room attendants do a great job and service was good. Lounge and restaurant staff were great and cheerful. The Inn was close to Southgate Shopping Center. Some shopping and restaurants are within walking distance. I definitely would stay here again.

Reception and the room were great. My room was upgraded from a standard to executive and it was under $100 before taxes. I am returning with my family on the weekend and will be staying there again instead of somewhere else that we had planned.

No continental breakfast available just a small restaurant. There were whole twizzlers behind the dresser when we checked in and the room could use a deep clean for sure. The tub was extremely shallow and the shower curtain barely stayed in resulting in water all over the floor.Front desk agents were not pleasant either. Needs renovations!

It is easy to get at and the location is good to go anywhere in the city. The staff were pleasant and looked after any concerns in a timely manner, It was very secure as you require a key to use the elevator.

Very nice hotel, Excellent professional staff. Clean and recently upgraded both hotel proper and the rooms. Not a "fancy" hotel but very friendly and comfortable to stay, I usually choose this location if I am in the area,

Great value good location, the hotel has seen upgrades and new management which has brought the quality of service up from previous days. Easy to get in and out of Edmonton lots of food options near by.

Beds were super comfortable. Play pen was set up in the room for us. Staff were friendly and check-in/out was quick. Great location close to restaurants and grocery store. Would definitely stay here again.

I have driven by this hotel many times over the years, but not stayed there, but I was really impressed with my stay recently. The hotel has gone an exterior and interior renovation and it is really nice. Such a unique hotel because of the way it was built. The lobby is extremely modern and the exterior is tasteful. The rooms are nicely updated. The service was excellent.

Really enjoyed the stay I was in town for a concert and had booked ahead this hotel is reasonably close to the Commonwealth Stadium I found the rooms to be a touch overpriced they were however very clean and the beds were new the decor was all new and nice the staff was friendly and helpful I had Credit Card issues and they went out of their way to accommodate me I would recommend this hotel especially if you're going to a event at Commonwealth Stadium

I love being a guest at Cedar Park Inn. It is so comfortable to stay there. The management and staff are excellent. It is very child friendly. I will only stay at the Cedar Park Inn whenever I stay in Edmonton for personal and/or business reasons.

Very clean room with everything we needed The staff was friendly and helpful to my mom who is a bit confused at times. The location is great to get anywhere in Edmonton, close to shopping and all main hi ways and freeways. Really reasonably priced

We had a good time staying in Edmonton Best Western. It was a great experience especially for the children. Hopefully, whenever we are in Edmonton, we will stay there again and again. Kudos for a wonderful hospitality.

The pool is terrible. Rooms smell Carpet was wet in room restaurant staff didn't know about what they were serving Every question I asked them they didn't know the answer The rooms where musky smelling.
