« Excellent Hotel in Dresden »

Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Nice clean and large rooms. Room was very quiet Although hotel is located out of city center it is really easy to get there quickly via tram. Very pleased with our stay and would definitely go back again!

    « Spacious, nice, well-situated »

We just spent a few pleasant nights at this hotel. We came across it very randomly and the low rates made me suspicious at first, but provided for a great surprise upon arrival. The room was a set of two actually. Very big and nicely decorated. The view from the window was absolutely splendid and the breakfast very varied. The staff was extremely friendly and honest (unlike other hotels, we were informed we could park outside on the streets free of charge, while only garage parking requires a fee). If I return to Dresden, this is the place to go.

    « Very nice hotel »

Lovely staff- I stayed here with a few friends for a night in late July. It was about 10-15 mins taxi from city centre. Nice quiet area away from bars etc. Would recommend- pleasant staff and nice hotel- would stay again

« Quiet hotel but very close to the center. »

We just spent 4 nights in the hotel, a good and clean hotel with large bedrooms and comfortable beds.Very clean bathroom. The door from the shower could open a little more. Everything was fine and very nice personal. We had a good breakfast in the morning and the evening dinner was also very good. It was very quiet in the hotel even thought that there were a lot of clients. Easy parking in the underground if your car is not to big.Tramstation just around the corner for the center. Very easy and you even can have tickets in the reception.Everything was fine to spent a nice few days in Dresden. Very nice city.

    « A good find »

While visiting Berlin from Canada, my friend and I decided to go to Dresden for an overnight. Came across this hotel on-line and took a chance. It is a winner - great room, friendly helpful staff, affordable, and a good location. We did not use the restaurant, so cannot comment on that

« Good quality hotel a quiet area of Dresden »

We just returned from Dresden and spent 3 nights in this hotel. It is a very good choice for a family. Good value for the price paid. We had a triple room with a kitchenette which was very convenient. They have two supermarkets nereby and you can cook yourself and have a quiet dinner in the room (they have an eating area in the living room). I can say nothing about the restaurant as we didn't use it. There is Opa und Oma restaurant across the road where we had dinner during our first day of stay but I can't say we liked it very much though the food was not bad but too calorific for me and you have to share a table with other people which I personally don't like at all. The old things in the interior are not my favourites either. The area itself (Cotta) is not the most picturesque area of Dresden but very save and quiet with a tram stop close to the hotel and it takes you 10-15 minutes in an almost empty tram to get to the very center. May be it's not the best choice if you travel on business or want to be in the center of the night life but very good for family vacations.

    « Good off-center hotel »

Room: We had a family room, which was spacious enough, but was too much standard. We also experienced a problem with electric sockets ? there was only one free socket in a room. Location: This hotel is far enough from the city center, which could be reached by tram in 15 minutes. There are a couple of supermarkets nearby, which is a plus. Breakfast: Not superb, but okay. The dinner in the restaurant was, however, very good. Parking: Very good underground parking with direct access to the hotel. Service: All the staff was very friendly. There is an excellent playing room for the kids. Internet: Very sloooow. Overall: Not a bad option if you travel by car and want to spend a day or two in Dresden.

    « Friendly and professional »

Helpful and sincere staff. Professional and friendly team, especially lady at the reception who checked- us -in and -out and a lady at the Breakfast on both days of our stay. Friends travelled with Kids and a playroom was appreciated too As a foreign guest i would appreciated if there were any English channels on TV. I would also expect From 4* property a swimming pool or at least sauna or gym facilities. Peaceful location.

« Dresden two night stay »

Conveniently located hotel near a tram station. Rooms are basic but comfortable. Unfortunately we have a smoking room the first night but the hotel changed this later. The staff are very polite and helpful. Essentially the hotel is a straightforward chain hotel, no special perks but it was as we needed it. The value for money was ok but not the best I've had. Hotel parking also provided for 5 EURO a night which is pretty reasonable.

« Great place for the price! »

This was the best Best Western I stayed at while in Germany by far (I stayed 3 others throughout Germany). The rooms are super clean and spacious, compared to most European hotels. Large bathrooms and space to move around. The hotel has a small parking garage and street parking available. Area looks to be very safe and is a short 12 minute tram ride to the center of town from the tram stop around the corner less then 150 m. The hotel has a great restaurant inside. The restaurant is open late and has a great menu. It serves a great breakfast in the mornings as well. The front desk was very helpful on directions and tram info on getting downtown. You can purchase your tram tickets right at the front desk. This is a great hotel a few minutes from the center of town, but very convenient. So if you want a spacious, clean and super affordable option for Dresden, then this is a fantastic pick!

    « Always made welcome »

A good friendly little hotel, Good food, good service overall. the only down sides are (1) No English language channels on the in room TV. (2) No tea or coffee facilities on the rooms. (3) Good location for my business trip, but a little far out from the centre for sight seeing. Having said that two trams are very close for services down town and around the area.

« 20 minutes from city center! there are better choices... »

Positive points: - room is really very clean - bed is comfortable Negative points: - check-in: no one say "welcome", no warm welcome at all, no one smiling! Is the client welcome? - hotel's location: what a terrible one! No need to say anything else. Do not trust the sentence "around 10 minutes from the centre". It would be more honest to tell to the clients the truth: around 20 minutes from the city centre and this only during the day! This is why I feel to have wasted money booking this hotel, what a terrible location for a tourist! From the hotel to the tram's stop (S1) you need to walk around 5 minutes. Then the tram needs 15 minutes to go until city centre. However, the tram is availble every 15 minutes during weekend. The most difficult is during the evening/night! What a pain to get back to the hotel during the night! -->> You need to pay around 20€ for taxi from City centre until hotel during the night! - rooms are not sound proof at all, therefore you can heard every noise from other room! At 8am in the morning there is the (un)official alarm clock (children screaming etc) and it will not be possible to sleep anymore. - last but not least: internet Wi-Fi connection was incredible slow from my room (306), however the employees told me that was not true. - 63Euro for a double room for single use with a bad hotel's location is not appropriate (price/quality ratio) Generally speaking I will suggest this hotel only for family with little children and/or old people, which were also the majority of guests at the hotel. The hotel is OK only for people who are not going out at evening. I will NEVER recommand this hotel for a single, young and/or a couple tourist! Please have a look at GOOGLE MAP and do not trust the information provided about location on their website. Have a look as well at the Ibis or Mercure Hotels in centre, they cost less and are better located! Dresden is beautiful, but this hotel was just a very big mistake and huge waste of money!

« Good hotel for the money »

We had a good stay. It is outside of town but a short taxi or public transportation ride. We actually left a day early as we had seen everything in Dresden and decided to go to Berlin. Would definitely stay there again.
