"Unsafe. Violent behaviour."
SteveCalgary_Canada, 26 Mars 2024

I made a reservation at their sister hotel (Hotel Johaness Vermeer). As it was a late check-in, I was instructed to come here to check in. The incident happened here. I believe it's relevant here. In short, the front desk person threatened me, yelled at me with f words, tried to hit me with his head and his fist, grabbed my phone and tried to destroy my phone when I told him that I was going to film his violent behaviour, and in the end canceled my reservation after police came (I insisted him to call police). Please avoid this property as this might happen to you. Below is the full story. I had a late check-in to the hotel after a full day of conference at TUDelft and a late dinner. I just flew from Canada that day early morning and really would like to check in and go to the bed. However, I stood outside of the their designated late check-in hotel (Best Western Delft) for 21 minutes (12:04~12:25 am). I rang the door bell, called the hotel with my cellphone, knocked on the door, and at the same time my wife also called them from Canada. Finally a male person showed up, opened the door, walked out of the hotel, but the wooden door behind him closed and locked (basically we were both locked out...). Then he became very very mad, and blamed me as the reason the door was locked. He started to swear at me with the f word, got very close to me, put his forehead on my forehead, and touched my chest with his fist. Then that person went checking out the door again, and somehow he was able to open the door. We walked into the Best Western hotel, and he said he is canceling my reservation (btw it was after 12:30 am midnight). Then I told him I am going to film him, and he grabbed my iPhone, and refused to return it to me. Then I told me I would like to call Police. Police came. Of course, we told different stories. I asked the police to find video recordings if possible to validate the stories, but the police said their job is to respond to emergency calls and make sure everyone is safe. It's not their job to investigate the incident, and it's not their job to tell him to check me in. The result was that I was on the street of Delft after 1am that night without a room to sleep, even I had the reservation. Fortunately Delft is quite safe. I felt much safer on the street than in that hotel. I still couldn't believe this happened to me. After checking in a different hotel in Rotterdam South (as my wife, a very nice lady at the Social Hub reception, and I spent the next two hours trying to find a room), I wrote a email to info@hotelvermeer.nl and describe what happened. Later in the day I came back to Hotel Johannes Vermeer to pick up the carry-on luggage I stored there the day before. I had a chance to talk to the owner. In short, the owner wasn't apologetic. Told me that he heard one story from that front desk person, and one story from me. He didn't say sorry, and didn't apologize, and at the beginning refusing to hear my side of story. I asked him if there's any safety camera recordings, and he said no. In summary, please do not stay here. The behaviour is unacceptable. I would even categorize verbal abuse, physical threatening, and grabbing my phone without my permission is criminal. The attached photo was taken after ten minutes standing outside the hotel, and it shows the timestamp.

"Perfect location!"
jolC1727JU, 09 Septembre 2023

I am solo so the little room I got was perfect. 100 € a night so stayed two nights. They don't have parking but the garage across the street is large, clean and safe. 20€ night but they'll stamp it to give a little discount. I was literally in the heart of everything I wanted to see. I was a block from that famous view with the canal and tilted church Vermeer painted and the market square. Staff was awesome and helpful which includes the front desk and the breakfast staff. My only negative is even with the window closed I could still hear people laughing and walking by hotel which is a common path for people/bikes. Bring earplugs. Breakfast wasn't the best and I'm really glad I didn't pay the full 20€. It ended up being about 10 each day because it was “ included” in price which I paid 20 extra for 2 days. If you want convenience go for it but if you have time just get breakfast at one of the many restaurants within 1-2 blocks. Overall I am very happy with my stay. Thank you! For readers, room is not fixed up for photos, sorry but lazy and you don't know me ;)

"Cute and convenient, but loud bells!"
Janice J, 31 Juillet 2023

The Best Western Museum hotel in Delft, with its quirky, museum style decor enhanced our stay in Delft. Reception was always helpful and friendly; the location is super convenient, being within the old city precinct and just minutes from eateries, historic sites, shopping and trams and railway. Our room on the attic level was cute, with a spacious bathroom and mini kitchen and a lift to that floor saving us some steep stairs. The only downside is that the Old Kirk bell tower is very close and chimes every 30 minutes most of the time.

"Location and charme great, but then…"
traveladdicted4ever, 24 Juillet 2023

Location is great - on the border of the old town. The hotel consists of three buildings, all charming ancient houses - therefore you have to know that the windows are also very old, which means concerning street noise, it absolutely feels like there is no glass in it. You also cannot open them. We had a superior room which was spacious, with bathrobes and a safety box - that didn‘t work. On arrival, there was only a few pieces of toilette paper left. We didn‘t use breakfast. There are a lot of very nice cafés around. You can park your car nearby at Prinsenhof garage (which is veeery long, go through until the exit ‚oude kerk‘), which is 19 Euro per 24hrs, by paying in the hotel, it is 17 Euro. I forgot my favorite pillow which I brought with me, emails didn‘t go through, so I called and the lady promised to send an email after asking housekeeping the next day. I‘m still waiting… for 6 days now. Disappointing.

"Decent hotel with Horrendous Check-in experience"
chumSF, 28 Juin 2023

The hotel itself is perfectly serviceable, with its central location being its ace in the card. What horror I did not know before checking in was that this hotel is actually 3 unconnected properties spread out among 3 sides of one large block. When I arrived at the "Oude Delft" address specified in my reservation confirmation, the front door was locked and no one was to be seen for the half an hour that I waited underneath the "Best Western" logo on "Oude Delft" during mid afternoon. Since the situation seemed hopeless, I decided to walk around the block, and it surfaced that the check-in facility was on the opposite side of the block. I blame Best Western Museumhotels Delft for its negligence in communications regarding the check-in address and wasting its guests' precious time in Delft. The least that this hotel could have done is leave a notice on its "Oude Delft" door that check-in is on the opposite side of the block.

"Wonderful people in a hotel with interesting decor and with a fabulous breakfast"
WistfulDragon, 03 Juin 2023

The hotel has interesting decor (the mermaid sitting in reception made me look twice!), the staff are fantastic, the bed is really comfortable, the breakfast could not be better, and basically everything is done to make you feel like a welcome and honoured guest to this beautiful part of the Netherlands. I don't think I have received better service anywhere, from catering to my grandson's dietary requirements to recommending where to hire a bike or buy the best cheeses. It is one thing to believe the breakfast fare is fresh, another to watch as the meats are sliced on a hand driven slicer, to make your own orange juice from the oranges in baskets next to the machine, and to see the crates of fruit being delivered from which the fruit salad is made! The rooms are spacious and comfortable, I normally don't sleep well in hotels but this one is an exception, and the elegant sofa was a delight. I left feeling as though I had been visiting with friends who enjoyed looking after me.

"Great location"
Alistair M, 01 Mai 2022

For exploring Delft it would hard to imagine a more conveniently located hotel providing you didn't need parking. In general, standards of hospitality in the Netherlands are good and so standards here were typical, very, very friendly, clean, roomy, reasonable breakfast. The layout is odd with reception in one building and accommodation and dining in another up a side street (with bike, scooter and pedestrian traffic only). Our room was a little cold and situated on the ground floor next to a busy alleyway, and only single glazing to the windows. So noise from the alleyway, church clock chiming etc. was easily heard. Bear that in mind if you need a peaceful night. Painter and decorator working on our windows at 7.15 am was a bit of a surprise on 2 mornings.

"Poor sleep quality due to 24/7church bells"
Anon_Kent_11, 24 Avril 2022

The breakfast was simple but good. The room was clean and comfortable but you had to go outside to get to the breakfast room as the hotel consists of 3 buildings. The reason for the low score is the hotels location next to an old church which chimes the hour and the half hour all night. I don't normally wake up that often during the night. It leaves you feeling jet lagged! I wouldn't stay there again for that reason. The stairs are narrow but there is a very small lift.

"Delft - Best Western"
NomadicScotinUS, 31 Mars 2022

Great location to Delft city center and main rail line. Room was good size, but walls very thin - not much sound dampening between rooms, so behave yourselves! Local grocery store in alleyway started moving their produce in at around 7am, so a lot of noise for about 15-20 mins.

"great location but very small room with even smaller bathroom. Basic. Great breakfast!"
bigos, 08 Novembre 2021

The hotel has 3 parts. The room was nicely decorated but extremely small. The bathroom was very very small and very basic (like 2 star hotel). Breakfast was very good but only at a preselected timeslot. checking in after 15:00 is really too late!!!!

"Extremely poor stay at Best Western Delft"
T9689Ejasont, 05 Février 2020

Stay at old wing. Room is old, dirty and dusty. Found a unfinished drink left over by previous guest. Hair dryer overheat after 1 min of usage. No benefits for Diamond Select Member. No complimentary breakfast. Ask for additional bottles water and was told to drink tap water. Ask for an additional hour of late checkout and was told to pay 10 euro per hour. Never ever staying at Best Western hotels again. Better off sticking with Marriott or Hiltons. More reliable.

"Amazing"
buddy856, 17 Décembre 2019

I found this this Best Western to be one of the best one's that I've ever stayed at. The biggest reason is because of the gentlemen that checked me in. He was the nicest person I've ever experienced while checking into a hotel. All through out my stay he was extremely accommodating and available for any question that I had. He was amazing!!

"Only location is valuable"
796mikeli, 15 Novembre 2019

Cold room, small, horrible and unconfortable bed, and dark room. TV didn't work. Room clean The breakfast was good enough for business trip. No boyy at the reception in my building, but nice people at reception in the main building

"Nice hotel great staff "
Salazarkock, 10 Novembre 2019

A very good location in center of Delft. Very good breakfast all freshly cooked and enough choices. Super friendly staff at reception and breakfast. Good value for money with decent and clean rooms. Good beds.

"Efficient and friendly with good location for exploring Delft"
luxtraveller88, 03 Novembre 2019

Good location for exploring lovely historic Delft on foot, only a few minutes to the main sights, restaurants and shops. Good quality underground car parking at Prinsenhof garage worked well (reasonable price) - park near the Olofslaan exit to be near the hotel but be prepared to carry your luggage up stairs. Hotel staff were friendly and efficient. We booked a deluxe room including breakfast. Our room was large and reasonably well equipped but for some reason the fridge and one of the lamps was not plugged in when we arrived and in sorting this we noticed the cleaning and decorating in forgotten corners of the room was not up to standard. The bed was very comfortable. Free Wifi worked well. Bathroom was fine though only a shower (no bathtub) and it seemed slow to drain. Breakfast buffet was fine, fairly standard, nothing exceptional. The hotel seems to be in 3 parts, in the area running from Oude Delft through Schoolstraat to Phoenixstraat, and they are not connected internally though each seems fairly self contained but the bar and reception is only in the building on Oude Delft. This worked ok for us but don't be surprised when you check in at the reception on Oude Delft if they walk you down Schoolstraat to one of the other parts of the hotel - and take care on Schoolstraat as it's narrow and can be busy with bicycle traffic.

"Well located hotel in Delft"
mhamm755196, 12 Août 2019

The hotel is located within easy walking distance of downtown attractions, especially the old and new kirks. There is no real lobby for sitting and reading, but there is a bench outside to sit on a nice night. Our room did not have a window you could open on a hot night which was a drawback. We did have a fan which was only moderately effective.

"Great location with great value"
Hipakai, 07 Août 2019

The location is excellent next to the old church and near the tram and train station. The rooms were adequate for an older hotel. The staff was very helpful. If you are there in the summer do not miss the fruit stand just around the corner. Delft is a hidden treasure and I would gladly stay at the BW again.

"Excellent location, value and service"
Joe P, 24 Juillet 2019

The hotel is conveniently located in the city and within walking distance from Delft train station. Very clean, well maintained and excellent staff. I've stayed before and continue to do. Breakfast service is also excellent.

"Hot"
jredgers, 07 Juillet 2019

Had the pleasure of a week in Delft and stayed at the historic hotel. Friendly helpful staff and a clean comfortable bed and room. The breakfast was typical continental with some hot options. The small friendly bar had some local Genevieve too! BUT it was the hottest week ever in Delft and I had a room in the attic; the small fan and no air conditioner meant 3 nights of no sleep!

"Hotelvictim visit May 2019"
hotelvictim123, 31 Mai 2019

The hotel is pleasantly situated near to the tramline & the station in the Old part of Delft . The rooms are pleasantly old fashioned & the performance of the room cleaners could be better. However, the reception staff were very friendly and helpful, and good company in the bar in the evening. The hotel does not provide evening meals, but there are plenty of options close by. Delft is a lovely city, very picturesque.

"Great location!"
jdd414, 18 Mai 2019

This hotel was perfectly located across from the old church in the historic part of Delft. We had an easy walk to and from the train station - about 10 minutes. It was also close to the tram that to us to The Hague. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was typical and tasty. We had a quiet room in the center of the three buildings that comprise the property. We had a lovely stay and a great visit

"Nice location"
Wanderer60624219912, 29 Avril 2019

Nice hotel very close to the city center, arrived by train which is a 10 min walk. Just over the bridge is the old city and restaurants nearbly. Nice stay, quite location. The room I had on the 3rd floor was small but cozy.

"Central Location, Pleasant Staff"
Andrew L, 27 Avril 2019

The hotel is centrally located in the beautiful town of Delft right next to the Old Church. The only downside to this is that the church clock chimes every half hour 24 hours a day.If you are a light sleeper make sure you are not in a room on the front of the hotel. There are several sections to this hotel and a wide variety of rooms. Some have a kettle with tea and coffee, others have a coffee machine. Our room had a minibar which was useful for keeping milk, others did not. Room was good size, clean, with good bathroom. Breakfast was in main hotel and was good with a variety of items on the buffet, waiting staff were friendly as were the receptionists who also manned the bar on occasions. We were part of a group and had two pre arranged dinners in the hotel. Both of these were not great. First one was a buffet which was mediocre and 2nd one was a served meal where the service was appalling with extensive waits between courses and some menu options had minuscule portions. Don't know if they ever run a restaurant dinner service here, but if they do, go out, several good options for eating in the town. Delft is a lovely town and I would definitely visit again but would look for alternative accommodation.

"Quite nice"
Passport43021728022, 25 Mars 2019

It's overall quite nice; the floor was a bit crunchy (as in making sound), the breakfast was not included in rather expensive room, and the Wi-Fi presented some issues, although altogether the experience was fully recommendable. The room itself was fairly well equipped and decorated. Overall, very good quality but slightly overpriced for my taste.

"Great Central Hotel"
Bozeman-Dublin, 24 Février 2019

I had a very enjoyable three day stay in the Best Western Museum Hotel, a really good option if your going to beautiful Delft. The staff are very polite and helpful and really took an interest in their guests. My room 305 was small but cosy with a dormer velux window in a sloping roof as it was on the top floor. As you lie in bed the massive leaning bell tower if the Oude Kerk looms above you! What an incredible view! The room was clean, as was the bathroom and it had some English language tv stations. They offer breakfast but at €15 a day I felt it was way too steep so I had it elsewhere. Delft is full of lovely bakeries and cafes anyway so no worries. It's about a 5 minute walk from the Markt Square and Vermeer House and as I said, right next to the Oude Kerk. The Prinsenhof museum is next door so the location right on the Oude Delft canal simply could not be better. No parking out front, you need a permit to park by the canal. If you arrive by train it's about a 10 minute walk. Use the Oude Kerk as your orientation and walk towards that. Or if you prefer, look at the windmill in the distance as you leave the train station and walk in that direction. Stay on the right hand side of the water and you'll see the Best Western flags on the wall about 10 minutes along. But that's the back entrance! Veer down the Schoolstraat lane for about 30 metres just at the flags and it brings you out onto the canal and the front door. Anyway, a lovely hotel and I'd definitely stay there again I return to Delft which is certainly hope to do!

"Location is the key to choosing this hotel."
scout2017, 02 Décembre 2018

The Museum hotel is a collection of houses, joined together, right in the old centre of Delft. This means you can walk everywhere, catch the tram to The Hague and so on. Parking is the only challenge. The hotel is maybe not the cheapest but amenities are good, staff friendly and above all the location is unbeatable.

"Horrible place"
Bego M, 07 Novembre 2018

I do not recomend this hotel. It was a bad experience, the worst was the service.Very rude. The room was filthy and the brekfast bad. The eggs tasted like sausage. Everything tasted like sausage because probably they use the same pan...I am not comming any more. The worst hotel in Delft and I have been in many !!!

"showing Delft to my Finnish wife"
ElrikW, 22 Octobre 2018

Hotel is good located and friendly staff. We had a room on 2nd floor, first there is small stairs down in the hallway to the room. In de room you come in where desk is and some chairs, bathroom is there too, but the bed is located with small stairs up. So had to leave bathroom light on in the night so we wouldn't fall if needed a toilet visit. Bed can have better mattresses and pillows. Breakfast good Dutch variety and good price.

"Nice hotel near the centre"
Marisa_reviewing, 12 Septembre 2018

There are a few buildings forming this hotel, so if you are with company make sure that you request rooms at the same building upon reservation. The staff was very friendly, the room was clean but on the small size, and the breakfast was decent. It could use a boost at the wifi signal.

"Great location, nice hotel"
sarahagreenlaw, 01 Septembre 2018

Can't beat the location! There was an inner courtyard only accessible to guests where we could keep our bikes which was very helpful. Room was on top floor, very neat and clean. Breakfast buffet had many options. Definitely recommend this hotel.

"A short stay on business"
geza2018, 27 Août 2018

We spent one night in this hotel. The atmosphere is nice and friendly and the building gives a hint of history. Impressively old houses around and the staff is professional. The room was cosy and comfortable.

"Good hotel"
Tinaedw, 21 Août 2018

An old fashioned hotel in a fantastic location in the centre of Delft. The rooms have no aircon, which meant the we had to have the windows open at all times, so a lot of noise came in from outside at night. They did however provide two fans in our room. The breakfast buffet is very good, a variety of lovely Dutch things to eat. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere. We did not have a drink at the hotel bar, but it did look nice.

"My back still hurts"
J_Cage, 01 Août 2018

Delft is one of the most beautiful cities in the Netherlands, and if you visit this place, do yourself a favor and pick a hotel in or near the old town. My wife and I tried the Best Western Museumhotel. Our dislikes: - The beds are much, much too soft. That's true for both the matrass and the pillow. In fact, after just one night, my back still hurts. - This hotel lacks aircon. Most of the time, this won't be an issue, but we stayed here in July and the heat was suffocating. - Instead of a walk-in shower, our guest room featured a silly bath tub that required some serious mountaineering for entry & exit. - Our room was very cramped. The desk was located so close to the bed that we had to kind of climb over the bed. Likes: + The hotel is located in one of the best places in the old town. + Internet access is good and offered free of charge. + A good coffee maker is provided in the guest room. + Considering the price, breakfast is quite good. All in all, I'd suggest spending just a bit more by booking a more luxurious room in this hotel, or picking one of the other hotels.

"Perfectly located hotel. "
Carol S, 24 Juillet 2018

This hotel has some good points and some not so good for me personally. Firstly the hotel is made up of different buildings. Can be confusing and a long walk from the back building to reception for those with mobility problems. The buildings didn't all serve breakfast at the same time particularly on Sunday's and this caused confusion for a lot of guests. My room was a good size for one person, but some of the doubles I saw were very small and guests had to almost sync their moves to get round the bed to the wardrobe. The breakfast was fine, nothing to write home about, but good enough for me. The main building got very crowded at breakfast at times. The bar is quite small and there is not really much room to sit in there. The staff were all lovely and very helpful. It is perfectly located to explore the beauty of Delft and I would stay here again mainly for that reason.

"Poor room allocation"
Jon M, 20 Juillet 2018

Stayed at the beginning of a week long tour of the Netherlands, although the hotel is well appointed, for an Adult and Teenager Twin Room booking, we were allocated a very small room with a tiny double bed... they really need to pay more attention to detail. It is, as others have mentioned ... extremely noisy outside at night.

"A lovely quiet hotel right in the centre."
Charlotte H, 17 Juin 2018

A lovely hotel, with very welcoming and accommodating staff who were always more than happy to help. The room had everything we needed.Only comment is we did have two singles pushed together but at the price we payed it was great value and so central for us to explore Holland.

"High price, average quality"
Gintar? K, 17 Juin 2018

Went for a business trip for three days.Since the simple double rooms were booked had to take the superior one, in a different building (called "Residence"). The room was quite ok, but since it was raining, the windows were not closing very well and it was humid in the room and in the bathroom you could smell this old school smell..Poor acoustic as well. Disappointing, when taking into account that room rate per night was 150 euros. The first day shampoo and shower cap was missing in the bathroom - it was placed only the next day. The towels seemed to be old and already used for quite a while. Breakfast was neat, very few things, coffee was disgusting. Overall the girls in reception were nice. The location was convenient - main importance objects were walking distance.

"Disappointing "
Leong S, 09 Juin 2018

I was there on a business trip from 3-9 June 2018 and here are my feedback- 1. The service at checkin was less friendly and helpful. When we asked for early checkin, they were quite adamant to only allow us to checkin at 3:00pm. 2. The room I was allocated have very bad acoustic. I can hear people walking above my room, and people showering/washing up next to my bathroom. 3. On Tuesday 5 June, I went to the dining area about 6:45am to have a cup of coffee and orange juice. Noting that the breakfast will starts only at 7:00am, I was perfectly fine if the food are not ready; I can wait. However one of the service staff spoke sternly that “breakfast only starts officially at 7:00am”. Why that tone? Not that I have complained about the food not being readied or anything or obstructing their work. It just not necessary to speak like this to a guest. 4. Ridiculously, the hotel washed my face towel and hang it in my bathroom instead of replacing a new one. Same for a bath towel!!! I had placed these used and wet towels in the bathtub as an indication to replace them but... 5. When the hand soap was used up, they did not replenish, including the tissue box in the bathroom. 6. My room was at the hotel building “Residence” and sadly, they disabled the common coffee machine by removing the waste tub after breakfast time. As such, i was not able to have hot water from the machine. My other colleagues at the Gallery, they have access to the coffee machine 24/7. Why the double standards? 7. We were not informed at checkin that the breakfast on weekends start only at 8am instead of 7am. Our transfer was arranged at 8am. 8. The receptionist only comes at 7am and we were not able to checkout earlier. 9. The bills are in Dutch and they were not able to translate everything to English. 10. They have 2 entries for my meeting on the same day (Thursday) instead of 2 meetings on 2 different dates/days (Thursday and Friday). 11. I requested the hotel to help book our transfer to the airport. As we have 4 passengers and 4 large luggages, I have requested to have a van instead so that we can have a comfortable ride to the airport. We also have extra hand luggages hence it's only appropriate for a larger vehicle. However the hotel requested only a station wagon which I was concerned. True enough, the back seat was a little cramped for 3 adult passengers. I would have appreciated the hotel staff to follow the request of the guest instead of insisting a station wagon. 12. Overall, I did not have an enjoyable stay and would not recommend this hotel.

"Cozy Room, Peaceful, Clean and Bright, Friendly Staff"
MoonSands, 02 Juin 2018

Was on the top floor, did not have a nice view, but I loved the room. Like the title says... cozy, quiet, clean and bright with a good sized bathroom. Breakfast was a solid offering. Most things are not gluten free but I was able to get more than enough to start my day off. Cold cuts, cheese, yogurt, fruit, tea, coffee... Staff is VERY nice. You can leave your luggage there before and after check in and out if you get there early or if you have to say attend a meeting before leaving the city. Not the most modern place, but it was more than adequate for me. Excellent location, surrounded by cafes, bars, restaurants, shops and a 10 minute walk from Central Station. No gym, no pool and all of that, but this is a budget hotel. All in all a very solid choice, especially considering the price.

"At least some rooms are terrible to sleep at"
Matkailijanokialta, 23 Mai 2018

I got a ground level room just next to a small street on the middle building. The windows are so thin that you can very well hear what people are talking literally 1.5m from your pillow and it takes over midnight before the street gets quieter. Also the roof is apparently made from 100 year old wood or something that really makes people walking on the room above sound like elephants making sure you'll wake up latest at the same time with them. For some this may be romantic place, but for me getting over five or six hours of sleep per night seem impossible in this room. I'll probably have to ask for another kind of room... My recommendation is to ask for quieter room when checking in. Again a Best Western that is more like motel than hotel.

"4 stars?"
nonnagumpy, 15 Avril 2018

We have been in Delft for 9 days, and wanted to stay a bit longer. Delft is very busy this weekend, so we could only get a room here. It's only been a few hours, and we dropped our bags and went to lunch. Came back a few hours later, and these are our observations so far: stepped on an earring on the floor, so at the very least, vacuuming wasn't thorough. Not under the bed, but next to it. The beside tables, inoperable room safe, and windowsills are caked with dust. We opened the curtain to get some air in here, but the windows don't open, and the casings, which I'm attaching photos of, are covered with mold. The room is tiny, but that's fine. Only 1/2 roll of toilet paper, no spare. Old threadbare towels. Nice pillows and bottom sheets,(no top sheets which seems to be the norm here) and the mattresses seem fine. Nice woman at reception when we checked in. Honestly, I can't figure out how this is 4 stars. No air conditioning, no operational window in this room, trip step up into bathroom, cracked bathroom sink...so far, not loving it. It's a shame, really. Good location, but needs a LOT of maintenance work to earn their own rating.

We stayed for 4 nights with a large party. Our room was on the second floor overlooking the tram track. Nice size room but ineffective air con. As previously mentioned the toilet paper was not a premium brand, and no spare was in the room. Breakfast was good, but no toasters were provided in either the middle or our block of bedrooms. The hotel provided one hot meal for the party, but unfortunately the portion of roast chicken and mashed potatoes that I had would have been ok for a 5 year old! The few vegetables served on a skewer were stone cold, and the cucumber and tomato were an unusual addition to the plate. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Superb central location with lots of nice restaurants and shops within a short distance. With a little bit of improvement this can be a very good hotel.

"Well located but...."
michfr132807, 02 Avril 2018

This hotel is a result of a combination of several buildings and consequently different levels: to when you have 2 levels with 3 very narrow stairs between it is limit dangerous mainly if you wake up during the nigth to go to bathroom, Except this point the hotel is well located very quiet with good breakfast

"Great location"
Jim H, 19 Mars 2018

Boutique style hotel by a canal on the edge of the town centre. Only minutes or less away from some sights and museums. Great bars and eateries abound nearby. Very scenic and lovely all around. With cobbled paths and bridges over the canals. And bicycles everywhere!

"Good location!"
sneto2015, 17 Mars 2018

This hotel has the perfect location, is comfortable and offers a quiet atmosphere. The room I stayed could be cleaner (dust), and better serviced (no soap in the bath, the lamp on the desk was broken); there could be a small fridge. Space was nice.

"Nice little hotel, central location"
Kenneth E, 06 Mars 2018

Nice, spacious room. Clean and tidy. Not luxurious but cosy. Breakfast was good. Limited parking possibilities near the hotel. Excellent location near the channels and the old church. Multiple restaurants within walking distance.

"An enjoyable stay"
aadrietdijk, 05 Mars 2018

Though we stayed only one night, we enjoyed our stay at your hotel. The room was clean and cosy, the bathroom fine and neat. Breakfast was very good. We will certainly consider coming back whenever we come back to Delft.

"Central hotel with easy access to Delft centre"
John B, 03 Mars 2018

A nice quirky hotel well situated on the edge of the old town of Delft near the old church and oldest canal. Walking to all major attractions is easy and pleasant. Breakfast is tasty and the hotel has good coffee! The hotel is split over a few buildings, and some rooms are at street level, so higher rooms seem quieter and more private. Rooms are large with a good sized bathroom. There is underground parking nearby which costs €30/24h. Overall, this is a great hotel from which to visit this charming little town.

"Perfect location and comfortable hotel"
Janet W, 21 Février 2018

I went to Delft primarily for the Blues Festival and booked this hotel because it was so centrally located near all the blues cafés. In addition to being in the heart of old Delft, it was a comfortable place. The staff was friendly and helpful. In fact, before my arrival, they were good about promptly answering several questions I had about parking and positioning of beds. They did as promised and moved the two single beds apart. I found the bed very comfy, however my roommate thought it was a bit too soft. I thought the toilet paper was too rough; my roommate thought the hotel should be applauded for its use of recycled paper. In any case, the room was fine, the wifi and heating worked well, and there was a coffee machine. Although my friend and I didn't book breakfast, it looked very nice and varied. There was no parking at the hotel but a parking lot is available about 15 minutes walk away for €16 per day. Check-in time is 3pm, which seemed rather late, and check-out is by 11am. We stayed in an annexe to the main building, just around the corner, which was quiet and clean. In general, I was pleased with this hotel and would stay here again if I came back to Delft.

"Excellent location + poor room cleaning + terrible service"
Anton K, 14 Février 2018

The hotel is quite well positioned in the center of the city (there are serveral buildings). However it may be not easy to park your car. The room was full of dust! That's not what I expect from a 4-star hotel! The sink in the bathroom had a crack. The breakfast was awfully poor. One of the worst experiences in the Netherlands ever. The staff is quite unhelpful (I travel extensively and I have never been confronted to such attitude), as the manager said himself, their main goal is to earn more money (and as I felt, everything else is subordinate to this main goal), such people should simply never work in hospitality sector.

"very charming and nice place to stay"
oliviercV3775RB, 12 Février 2018

This hotel is a very charming and nice place to stay. in the middle of Delft, right across the "Old Jan"-church and at 50m from the Willem van Oranje museum. 5' walking from the market place and main touristic places to be. I have one major advice if you like to book a room on street and waterside: DO USE EAR PLUGS because the street lives all night through, and you want to sleep at that moment. If you do not like to use ear plugs, ask for a room backdoor. Breakfast offers variety of bread, fruit, meet and cheese, jam and chocolat. Croissants are delicious and served warm. Hosts are very kind people.

"Nothing special"
Mike Z, 19 Janvier 2018

I've been here for a week and overall not happy. Probably won't stay here again on future business trips. It's a nice old building but it's fairly well maintained. Front desk was friendly. The rooms were decent size, but if you have trouble with stairs, be careful what room you get. The bedroom was up three stairs. Here'se: * No gym * No food, they have a bar but nothing to eat * The breakfast was good, but if you came down after 9, there may or may not be bacon and eggs left. And you would need to wait for them. Just keep it full until 10, don't make people ask for food at a buffet. * So my biggest complaint is housekeeping. For the most part the room was clean but they did not handle the basics. I had to ask for soap after two days. They have disposable face towels, rarely replaced. I used a bath towel they replaced it with a hand towel. All very basic mistakes in hotel management. They did not remove empty bottles. Forgot to mention I like the location of the hotel, close by the center.

"Good hotel"
lorinrena, 14 Janvier 2018

This was booked for me by my wife, the hotel is new, rooms are very good size and clean, the staff are very friendly and spoke very good English. I recommend this hotel for short stays, although there are better hotels around for longer period of time.

"Nice hotel in great location"
Chris M, 13 Janvier 2018

Hotel recommended by colleague at work, exceeded all my requirements and i will be revisiting for a holiday. Friendly staff, nice room and hotel is located in the centre of the old town making it perfect for a visit to Delft. Good wifi and quiet room. I will re visit.

"Great place to stay"
claudisb, 02 Janvier 2018

We spent there the last days of December. Great location, great town, the hotel is new, stylish, clean and nice, the room is clean, big and comfortable, beds are large and comfortable as well. Service is good. I would suggest it to everyone.

"Best hotel to visit the old city !"
markuson92, 30 Décembre 2017

Basic but very clean hotel and cosy. Close to the old city in front of the old church and the canal. Desk hostesses are very kind and very helpful Parking is 500m from the hotel which is quite good. Shops are 50m away

"Perfect visit"
leonru2017, 29 Décembre 2017

I was only there for 1 night, THAT was my only mistake. Revisiting my home town in this way was perfect. The hotel, well, as said before really perfect with parking for my vehicle very close and at reasonable price

"Great citytrip hotel."
VanBeekum, 27 Décembre 2017

This is a great hotel in the centre of Delft. It is spread out over three different buildings. The service was very good. And breakfast was divers and really tasty. The water in the toilet in our room kept runnen and we got a new room within 5 minutes!

"Lovely hotel in the heart of Dleft"
12norbert, 26 Décembre 2017

Really in the center of historical Delft situates this beautiful boutique hotel. Clean, nicely decorated and comfortable. Friendly staff at the reception. Quick check-in and check-out, good service. All rooms are different. We have come here many times when visiting friends. Absolutely worthwhile your stay and very affordable.

"drie stars"
185kjt, 26 Décembre 2017

services is very good. We are very welcome there. It is 4 stars hotel but breakfast is 3 stars. The evalator (lift) is small. Hotel is cute nice room with bad en shawer. De location is perfect! The price is not expensive.

"All OK-ish"
830liesbethp, 21 Décembre 2017

Room was okish, same for breakfast. The styling is a bit old-fashioned, dirty towels still on the floor when I got back to the room in the evening. Could not get the coffeemachine to work, no manual in the room. Location is fantastic!

"Excellent location"
scout2017, 02 Décembre 2017

Very good location - right in the middel eof the old part of town - as long as you can accept that the 2 large car parks and the staion are 10 minutes walk away. The concept of using existing houses for a hotel is good. Stairs are very steep though.

"I was satisfied with eveything, esspecially its breakfast."
tniimu_741999, 18 Novembre 2017

I went to the hotel's small restaurant two times . Although I could not find different menu each day, I was satisfied with simple yet enough manu and good taste. In addition, I felt that all of hotel staff are very kind and agressive. I'd like to visit there agein next business trip.

"Nice place to stay in Delft"
johnnyreggea, 14 Novembre 2017

Perfect location next to old Church for a visit to Delft. Deluxe rooms are spacious and clean. Little bit of noice from the street. Car parking is nearby and reception is very friendly. Breakfast was good with fresh fruit en delicious bread.

"Very comfortable room in a lovely styled house with friendly service people"
kthurn_304074, 03 Novembre 2017

No overcrowded buffet for breakfast with fresh, warm bread, of course local yummy one that we love. Tasty coffee even for to go (haven't read this in advance) and a coffee maker in our room (also for tea). Though you are in the City centre it was very calm at night to sleep. Parking garage is easily accessible, just Takes 2 minutes of walking.

"Delightful Delft"
charlesfE8403UY, 03 Octobre 2017

We were in the backmost building of the hotel, which actually fronted on one of the most important streets in town, the street leading from the main train station. The room was quiet and well-appointed, with comfortable beds. The excellent breakfast the next day was in our building and gave us a pick-me-up for more travel that day. The hotel is on the edge of the historic district and convenient to the historic square.

"Comfortable hotel room in an excellent location"
SKY_from_Oxford_UK, 25 Septembre 2017

The hotel is an 8-minute walk from Delft train station. The hotel is spread over 3 different blocks. We stayed in the Residence block of the hotel, on Schoolstraat. Pros: *Our room was cosy but clean and new. *The bed was very comfortable! *The location was very convenient. *The staff were helpful and friendly. *The Residence block has its own breakfast room so we didn't have to go back to the main block every morning for breakfast. Cons: *Our room was on the ground floor overlooking the street, so we had to keep the curtains drawn most of the time and felt we couldn't open the windows for security reasons. *Late at night, the sounds made by people walking down/chatting on the street outside would wake me up. *The front entrance (automatic) door for the Residence Block would take a long time to close (and we couldn't shut it behind us manually). At times we were concerned that strangers could just follow us and walk behind us to enter the block. This did not happen during our stay, but I think it would be good to be able to shut/lock the door manually.

"Excellent location"
gaetanop204, 21 Septembre 2017

The location is excellent and you can walk everywhere in Delft from the hotel. There is a parking ( I think it was 18 euros a day) also not far from the hotel. Our room was located in another building just behind the main hotel. The room are nice and clean but a bit small. Breakfast is also good

"Not your usual Best Western"
RangerDan, 17 Septembre 2017

We stay at Best Western hotels frequent because they usually maintain a higher standard of service/cleanliness. This hotel was the worst of the Best Westerns. Our room had sloping ceilings to the extent that one had to walk around bent over to prevent hitting the ceiling. Hallways and other public places in the hotel were dirty and need of repair. The was mold on the grout in our shower. The staff seemed unfriendly and/or not knowledgable. Most rooms had inadequate ventilation and smelled musty. Avoid this hotel

"Staff"
marieW8440ZS, 14 Septembre 2017

The only comment I have is regarding the information about the breakfast and the reaction of the breakfast personnel. I was not aware that breakfast was not included in the price but was not informed about it in the reception. When I came to the breakfast in the morning, the lady in the breakfast room told me - you do not have a breakfast included - not very politely - that I did not pay for the breakfast in front of other guests. I felt like a criminal - eating food that I did not pay. I think there is another way to say that and certainly it information should be a part of the welcome procedure. When I asked in the reception whether it was included in my package or not, they were not sure. At the end I paid the breakfast in addition which is fine but I would appreciate more professionalism.

"Ideal hotel for a jazzy break in Delft!"
RixBeckley, 01 Septembre 2017

We stayed here for a short break with friends. Ideally located and the staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. Pleasant bar, and spacious, clean and well appointed rooms. Very good value, and we are already planning our next visit.

"Beautiful hotel, spacious and comfortable in an ideal location"
Catou L, 25 Août 2017

We really enjoyed staying at this beautiful hotel, spacious and comfortable, located in the center of Delft in a quiet street! The room for 3 was large, with excellent facilities and a large bathroom.

"good value"
kevinadele2017, 23 Août 2017

Excellent location, close to the train, bus and tram, for a hotel in 3 bits. Would give it 4 stars as bedrooms, ours was huge, need an upgrade - but it was such good value it seems mean. Breakfasts more than adequate and staff friendly

"Great location and team, hotel needs a refurb"
Lexi64, 16 Août 2017

The first thing to say is that we got a great deal on this hotel, so if what you want is a bargain this could be for you. The location is terrific, just a couple of steps away from the main square and the old church but everything is so close together in Delft it's only ever a few minutes walk away. The team are friendly and helpful. I had a room (103) facing out on to the 'street' - they're not really streets because you only see the occasional car or moped, it's mostly pedestrians and bikes. However the windows are unglazed (the building is listed and it's not allowed), the windows on the first floor are practically at head height of the passers by and I heard every word of every conversation, or singing, or shouting that happened at night, I am a light sleeper and my friend in a room on the same side slept through it all but I couldn't. At 2.30am I asked the night manager if he could move me and they only had a spare room in their other building down the road which I wasn't about to walk to. They moved me the following day to an internal room that faced the fire escape, much quieter. The rooms are very basic (I believe there are other more modern rooms), we had singles and the room and beds are pretty small, I struggled to find a space where I could put up the suitcase rest without blocking the bathroom door. The bathrooms were adequate, no frills (shampoo/soap/shower gel out of wall dispensers and industrial style loo paper) and both of mine were not as clean as they could have been (hairs on the floor, dirty mirror). The rooms are hot, (no aircon) and in some of them you couldn't want to open the windows because you would be vulnerable. There are basic fans provided (noisy) but that's not an ideal solution. My room was tired and sorely in need of refurbishment. Carpets were worn, paintwork dirty, cracked tiles and black mould round the silicone in the bathrooms. My second room didn't have a coffee making machine and when I asked I was told that room just didn't have one, which was odd given that it was a standard feature. I also didn't have a remote for the TV and they had to track one down from somewhere else. We didn't do the breakfast. It's really average fare and at €15, very expensive. Go round to Kek instead, they do a fabulous breakfast, the smashed avocado on toast is wonderful. There is a lift and you would need to use it even to floor 1, if you have baggage or any mobility issues because the stairs are incredibly steep and narrow. This could be a great hotel given its location and the good team they have, but BW need to spend some money getting it up to scratch.

"Lovely Hotel"
MattTastey, 13 Août 2017

Our stay here was brief but the late (or early morning) arrival was no trouble for the night manager, we were welcomed warmly. The hotel was a little quirky but very decent and made our stay in Delft very memorable. If we were in the area again we would stay again happily.

"Great for family trips, very resourceful staff"
ahe18, 12 Août 2017

We had a very pleasant stay at the hotel, and our suite had a separate room for our children (they found the beds very comfortable after a camping trip)! The hotel is close to a major parking (18 euros per day), and to the train station, which we found useful to visit nearby Rotterdam. We found the staff very helpful throughout our stay, and particularly when our car had a mechanical problem on our departure. They assisted us with calls with local companies, and offered us drinks and colouring for the kids.

"Hotel right in the centre of town"
159marjoleinh, 09 Août 2017

Situated in the historic centre of Delft. Big, clean room with big and modern bath room. Rather warm at night, but a fan is available. Friendly staff, nice breakfast. A handy backyard for storing bikes too!

"Museum of Modernity"
Roger K, 09 Août 2017

An excellent choice for a short stay in Delft. Well positioned within a few minute's walk from the train station and right by a tram stop, a few steps takes the guest right into the heart of this historic and picturesque Dutch city. The rooms, thought fairly compact, were well equipped and kept spotlessly clean. Breakfasts were largely self-service, even the coffee and tea were available from a machine, but were more than adequate. The otherwise relatively plain reception and dining area of the annex where we were staying was ornamented with some interestingly surreal sculptures. We say few staff but those that we did meet spoke impeccable English and were polite, helpful and charming.

"great experience"
DesertFleur, 07 Août 2017

The staff at this hotel were so nice and accommodating. We had a last minute horrible experience at another hotel and showed up here, and they did everything to help us out, showing us options and treating us with consistent courtesy and friendliness. They followed up on every request we made. Great location. Lovely people.

"Very good hotel, lovely people"
brspdx, 04 Août 2017

Three sisters came to this hotel after a horrific experience at Bridges House Hotel (read my review) The young woman at the front desk, Esme, helped us and really understood customer service and made our experience delightful. The other people at the front desk and the man at the bar, were also quite friendly and helpful. The hotel has many sections and we were in the front building closer to the main street. Nevertheless, the rooms were quiet, clean, spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast was good. The town square is less than a 5 minute walk way. A fantastic ice cream shop is right near the hotel..make sure you go! Overall a really good choice for location, accommodation, price and hotel staff. I would absolutely recommend this hotel.

"Very nice Hotel in a very beautiful City"
guccione75, 01 Août 2017

Nearby the Hotel, that is located very central, you find a lot of Pub's and Restaurants. Delft invites also to walk in the beautiful street's because it's very pretty! All my family liked the trip and my Son( 6years) said that Delft is one of the beautifully City he's ever seen;-)))

"charming nice hotel in the centre of Delft. Delicious breakfast"
vanroylizy, 31 Juillet 2017

Ecellent charming nice hotel in the centre of Delft. Delicious breakfast. Friendly personnel, very modern bathroom. excellent location. We really enjoyed out city trip to Delft. If I would go back to Delft, I would again choose of this hotel

"Excellent location"
Simon554, 22 Juillet 2017

The location is a 10 minute walk from the station and 5 minutes walk to the main market square. There are coffee shops and cafes even closer. Everything we wanted to see in Delft was easy to walk to. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good with an excellent variety of breads, cold meats and cheeses, cereals and pastries. Our room was clean but we found the mattresses far too soft. We prefer a firm supportive bed, but these were soft as marshmallow and just as difficult to get out of. The shower was excellent although the Dutch are generally fairly tall people and we found the mirror and washbasins in the shower room were set quite high, so were awkward to use for those of average height. Despite this we enjoyed our 3 night stay.

"Wonderful stay"
meshel2017, 20 Juillet 2017

We loved our room with the loft and skylight. It was comfy, spacious with pull out couch for our two young boys, huge bed for us, and brand new, clean bathroom. Definitely get th breakfast as it's great value and very tasty! There is no AC so I asked for two fans which the staff put in our room before we arrived. Thank you! Also request an ironing board and iron for your room if needed as they are not automatically in your room.

"Best hotel in delft"
smaher_886492, 13 Juillet 2017

Breakfast great. Beds comfy. Rooms have nice amenities and artwork. Clean hotel. Staff wonderful. Location awesome. This hotel puts you right in the middle of old delft, 20 paces from a 500+ year old church and a 2 min walk away from the historic town square!

"Location is nice, but some points needed to be impoved"
solagratia2017, 09 Juillet 2017

It is very nice place which means it is very close to Delft that is so beautiful, gogerous and classic views. Staff's attitude was so nice and breakfast is excellent!! Room cleaning was good as well. If mentioned improvement points, I would like to say as the following. 1. Room soundproof is not good. I was able to hear street sounds or noise 2. No views from the room I stayed. It was regrettable point I couldn't enjoy.

"adequate"
mysterymeatballs, 08 Juillet 2017

room was big and really high ceiling, almost like it was two storeys or more. good and clean, only downside was my room was in a new wing that opened onto a busy street and i couldn't raise the blinds (except bend them slighty to peer through?) so i had no view. not that there would've been much to look at anyway. was traveling alone with 3 month old baby and had a medical issue. i needed a room for 3h after check out before catching the train to the airport but the staff while polite were unable to give me a discounted rate despite my really only wanting a room for the afternoon. i felt they should've escalated it or exercised discretion. ended up paying full rate for another night and leaving soon after.

"Bad price quality balance"
bobwashere2017, 05 Juillet 2017

The hotel has potential, but is not well managed. Welcome was poor, smelly room, no good ventilation, old windows. Beds OK. Bathroom with bath was small, with a very low ceiling. Breakfast can be better for the price we paid. Overall there is urgent need for an upgarde.

"Delft centre"
LudekH, 04 Juillet 2017

The hotel is located within the walking distance from the Delft station and Grote Markt is over the corner. My room was in the different building over the corner. It was very spacious and seems to be clean, but I found garbage behind my nightstand, which is quite unexpectable for the price. I checked it and the garbage (one paper and a plastic bottle) was there during my whole stay... The bathroom was clean and the beds were comfortable. There is a coffee machine inside the room. Wifi was quite slow.

"OK but could be better"
perlogalism, 30 Juin 2017

I'd agree with most of the recent reviews of this hotel: It's very well located, is clean, reasonably comfortable and the water is hot. However it's dated, there's no way you'd leave a window open at night and the breakfast is expensive for what you get. Personally I wasn't aware of the church bell chimes but there was scaffolding all around the spire so maybe I got lucky? My main gripe is the fact that my Best Western Platinum status was effectively ignored at check in (Yes, we have your details already.....) and so I wasn't offered the usual room upgrade. So I got one of the small, stuffy, single rooms with the window you couldn't leave open, the one coffee pod and the desk which could fit my laptop or the fan but not both. Yes, I could have made a fuss but I'm a Brit and we don't do that sort of thing ;-) All in all, it was OK for a couple of nights and I might stay there again. I wouldn't rush back though.

"nice room, but overpriced and very slow check-in"
abusinesstravell2017, 23 Juin 2017

very nice room, but the check-in was very slow and inefficient, also many rooms are in annexes that are not directly linked to the hotel, and instructions how to get there were not sufficiently clear.

"Business trip to Delft"
jamesbI6061EB, 22 Juin 2017

Rooms in the main building could do with refurbishment - my single room did not feature windows that could be opened which, in overnight temperatures of 20 degrees + , is immensely uncomfortable. The proximity to one of Delfts main architectural features, includes a bell tower that chimes the hour and half hour all through the night - if the heat does not keep you awake - the bell tower will.

"Fantastic location"
440JOH, 11 Juin 2017

Beside the canal and historic Delft. An easy walk from the train station - but watch out for the cyclists! Nice room. Unfortunately the view was of a small couryard and a spiral staircase, but I was only there for two nights. Room was comfortable and clean, with a tea/coffee machine and an included bottle of water. Excellent breakfast. The bell chime from the church tower took some getting used to.

"Simply not the best that Best Western can be"
greenfingersfishes8, 08 Juin 2017

We booked 7 nights in a standard room, 11 months before we travelled. On arrival we were allocated room 209. This is in the main hotel off Olde Delft and is ideally located for seeing the city. The room was on the 2nd floor and was accessed using the lift - the stairs being far too steep and narrow to be used safely by 70 year olds- we doubt they would be allowed in the U.K. which takes safety issues seriously. The room itself was compact [ or to be blunt, downright cramped] . It had one window that opened, but directly outside it is a fire escape. Even I, with my limited mobility, could have climbed through the bars and onto it. As it was readily accessible from the 3rd floor and ground level we had no choice but to keep the window shut at night and during the day when we were out. They do provide a small variable speed fan, but it is inadequate, so the room was unpleasantly hot at night. The other features of the room were :- 2 twin beds - narrow but comfortable T,V. - 2 UK channels but there were English programmes on the local channels sometimes Décor - dated, gloomy and oppressive and some of the walls were dirty, no doubt due to the lack of room - needs urgent redecoration Coffee maker - a welcome addition but we had to ask for replacement cups/sachets on 3 occasions Light - no central lighting so room is badly lit Bathroom - reasonable size and well equipped: towels replaced regularly - best feature of the room We did not take up the breakfast option at Euros 15 each per day - we simply don't eat that much breakfast to justify such a price - they are very keen to sell you these, but there is an excellent cake shop that does drinks within 75 yards and it cost not a lot. The reception staff are friendly, helpful and efficient- shame they are let down by poor facilities. Clearly booking 11 months in advance and staying for 7 days did us no favours in the room we were allocated and with hindsight we wish we had booked a better and more expensive room but we try to stick to our budget so that we can maximise our trips abroad. Would we stay in Delft again - absolutely Would we stay in this standard of room at the Best Western again - absolutely not

"Great, quiet location on a canal near the center."
David N, 01 Juin 2017

A fine hotel, in an historic building along a picture perfect canal. Goood breakfast. Easy walking distance to the museums, shops, churches, and other attractions. A charming choice, and if your bad is not too large or heavy, you can walk there from the train station, most of the way on a tree shaded street along a canal. The only reason I do not give it 5 stars is that some people want stronger wifi, an exercise room, and off-street parking, which I don't think they have. Also, it did not bother me, but the large church across the street has a booming bell that strikes the hours all night, and this might wake some people up - but I only woke up once at 5 AM and soon was asleep again.

"A perfect location!"
mwatte_772661, 31 Mai 2017

One could not ask for a more perfect spot in the center of historic Delft! The hotel was lovely and the staff was helpful and polite. The only problem was not the hotel but with the narrow road to the immediate left as one faced the hotel. Bicycles came flying out of the road without any care or thought for pedestrians. Even looking to see if it was safe was difficult because you left yourself vulnerable to being knocked over by a flying bicycle. Guests should be notified to be beware of bicycles since they do not obey any traffic rule nor exhibit any care for people on foot.

"Very good hotel in the middle of the centre"
Ronald R, 30 Mai 2017

Stayed here for one night. We were welcomed by the friendly staff in the beginning of the night. After checking in we could go to our room. Room was very neat, clean and tastefully furnished. Bathroom very room and also clean. Beds were a bit soft but this would be personal preference. Windows can't be opened; Due to the hot weather it was very hot on the room. Breakfast was very extensively and again, very friendly and helpfull staff. Allot of choice and very good - No remarks.

"Good location let down by poor service"
William G, 27 Mai 2017

This is a good location but they cannot get the basics right. The staff are at best average and many logistical aspects are poor- the worst being the coffee machine - just put a kettle in the room. More annoyingly was the fact that the electronic door keys did not work all the time and seemed to degrad during the stay. I had one night to go all the way back to reception to get the card reprocessed so it would work - simply not good enough.

"Great location"
JDFJD, 21 Mai 2017

The location of this hotel is what makes it nice. Easy walk from the train station. Nice view of the church and over the courtyard. The room was 2-levels, with steep stairs to get to/from the sleeping area.

"Delft delight"

Within reach of the main market and all other sites of interest this hotel is ideal. Parking no problem as the Phoenix underground car park is a few minutes within walking distance. Very friendly staff, very helpful. Always smiling which is great to see. Breakfast was substantial, always a staff member being attentative oh and did I mention friendly. Bedroom good size and service good by chamber maids. Definitely stay again.

"A lovely town but a poorly run hotel"
John H, 09 Mai 2017

Probably, in my opinion, the worst hotel that we visited on our cycling tour in Holland. Firstly the receptionist came across as very rude when we arrived at the hotel at just before 3.00pm. Our cycles were stored in the courtyard of one of the three buildings making up the hotel. We were then advised that our rooms were not ready, one not until after 3.30. Check in time was 3.00 We were given three rooms in the building furthest from the reception, all three rooms being completely different. One a junior suite, a room next to a lift and a small room in the roof of the hotel. Our breakfast was on the ground floor of this building and was soulless, there appeared to be no other guests in our building. There was also no staff on duty there whilst we were eating. Unimpressive layout for a hotel.

"Good location in Delft"
PhiladelphiaMatilda, 07 Mai 2017

Great location in lovely, walkable Delft. The room was large, clean, and the bed was comfortable. Bedside lights were too dim to allow reading. As we were leaving, we had to maneuver our luggage past large heaps of dirty laundry in the hallways.

"Best location od Delft"
599yara, 04 Mai 2017

I loved the location, the room, and all was perfect for me! It's only 3 min walk from the teen station, and right inside the old center, staying next tge old church is also a charm. It perfect for my needs. The art works on entrance and corridors makes it also very special! I only wish there were biciclets to rent at the hotel.

Lovely hotel close to canal. Hotel was clean and friendly. Nice breakfast. Be sure to organize a room away from the church and it's bells. Hotel consists of three buildings with separate breakfast areas. Would stay here again.

"Fully satisfied!!"
Shakeel S, 28 Avril 2017

Staying here currently for the second time...I am fully satisfied to have chosen Best Western Musuem hotel in Delft again. The staff since 2013 are almost same and friendly as always. Good choice...more to +ve review once I packoff since I've got many more days to stay.

"Delft is great, the museumshotel not"
manfred291, 27 Avril 2017

We could hear our quiet neighbors as if they were in our room. The shower water did not run away, the coffee machine was leaking, we had to settle for a twinbed although we ordered and paid for a double bed . no one received us for breakfast, no cups for coffee, so we drank out of paper cups..and all this for 164 dollars!!

"Nice location, not good value for money"
acarluc1, 26 Avril 2017

Not the best value for money you can expect in town from a Hotel offering a room for 170Euro /night with no breakfast, a less than acceptable bathroom, an empty fridge, and the reception which is 500 m away.

"Hear the cathedral bells (all through the night)"
dimrub, 26 Avril 2017

If you're visiting Delft, then you'll be hard pressed to find a hotel better placed than this one: it's right across the street from Delft's cathedral, which is pretty much the center of the city par excellance. You can reach the Vermeer museum, the canals and the canal boat tours, the city hall square and a variety of dining options by an easy walk. You can also arrive at the hotel by bicycle, and have your bicycle stored, which is what we did (although it's not saying much: you can arrive anywhere in Netherlands by bicycle, it appears, and most of the hotels are bicycle-friendly, but I digress). The lobby is nicely decorated, the breakfast is a ever so slightly upgraded version of the standard continental breakfast, the lift is present, and the rooms are rather spacious. One of our rooms had a rather steep 3-step staircase leading from the entrance hall to the bedroom, other than that it was fine. Everything was clean, the bathroom clean and with good toiletries and towels, the beds comfortable. The only thing that disturbed our sleep was the cathedral clock, that chimed every half an hour, but one gets used to it. Overall, a very nice hotel - even worked for us, family with two kids.

"You Won't Be Disappointed"
suelH1376NM, 26 Avril 2017

I have stayed at the Best Western Museumhotel in Delft on 3 separate occasions and have never been disappointed. The hotel has a charm all of its own. Each room is different which adds to the charm and the church bell is amazing. The hotel staff is friendly and extremely helpful from the minute you walk in the door. Trust me...you won't be disappointed.

"Perfect location"
Motherofk3, 24 Avril 2017

Close to all the sites, and restaurants . The negativs are that there was no soap in the shower dispenser and very little left in the hand dispenser. There were hairs all over one of the beds. And trash left from the previous guests left in the room.

"Excelent option"
SimUY, 12 Avril 2017

This is a relly nice hotel, excelent relation between quality and price considering that in Holland Hotels are quite expensive in general. Is very well located and the staff is great. I was ill at nigth and they were really helpful and nice. Five star just for their servicie.

"Loved It!"
akwallac, 11 Avril 2017

Reception was more than willing to help with any questions or concerns that I had. Being from the US, I was very turned around in the small city of Delft and did not speak Dutch. They helped me find a grocery store, the train station, the university and anything else I asked for. The room was very comfy and made me feel very at home. The only downside was the church bell tower right across the street. The bell goes off every hour on the dot and if you are a light sleeper, like me, this results in being awakened every hour at night. Overall, loved the place and I would stay there again even with the annoying bell.

"Great location, so-so room, friendly and helpful front desk staff."
mamastwoangels, 10 Avril 2017

Lovely location for sure which compensates for the tiny room and church bell sounds through the night. Room was not only small but coffee machine was covered in dust and didn't work. The only time I asked for service, they knocked at the wrong room and I was kept waiting. Another time I was in the room and got a knock by staff when I hadn't asked for anything (they got the wrong room again!). The bathroom had hair (not mine) on the side of the shower. The staff at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful. They made me feel very welcome. As I said it was a great location to explore the old town. Good for business travelers, singles or couples. Would not recommend it for families.

"BW MUSÉUM DELFT"
laurent464, 09 Avril 2017

To discover. Hotel in centre. Very nice room and service. Breakfast ok caution... Bottle near the bed had to be paid... This is the only negative point. If it is included I the mini bar... It should not be let close to the bed. Looking to room rate, it is ridiculous

"Amazing!!"
fpulle_647939, 03 Avril 2017

Had a awesome stay at the hotel. Amazing people there and it was a good time. It was a good place to stay and the people where very friendly. Thanks to the good hotel and hospitallity. The room was very good also!

"Excellent choice in Delft"
cali_girl_kara, 27 Novembre 2016

An excellent value. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable, with many top amenities (walk-in closet, refrigerator, huge top-of-the-line bathroom, etc). The decorations are bit old-fashioned, but it does not detract much from the comfort. The location is very convenient to all the downtown area and the train station. Breakfast is a very nice array of breads, meats, cheese, with fresh juice and yogurts as well. I have already booked to stay here again on our next trip.

"Gorgeous location, spacious and quiet family room. Excellent choice"
cherry_streets, 19 Novembre 2016

The location of this hotel cannot be beat - the family room that we booked looked right out at the magnificent old church, the old canal and the city's many cyclists. We were 3 adults, one 4-year-old and a baby and had plenty of space in this hotel room. We parked our car in a city car park with was a 5 minute walk away from the hotel. Excellent stay!

"Enjoyable stay in Delft"
Jo_Fons, 15 Novembre 2016

Very cosy hotel in the centre of Delft - - good breakfast. We were located in 'The Residence' part and there was no elevator so we had some stairs to do what's not so funny when you've problems with your legs...

"Best Western night"
Giuliano O, 15 Novembre 2016

we spent only one night in the city and the location of the hotel was perfect; just next to the old church; if you don't mind the bell every hour :) a refurbish of the room would help. very gentle members of staff. overall a pleasant stay

"A nice historical hotel"
desakm, 10 Novembre 2016

I stayed for 6 nights at this hotel at the residence building (this hotel have 3 separates building). The room was nice and comfy, the shower room was new and clean. I didn't take the breakfast at the hotel and I prefer to have it at the "m" bakery next to the Oude Kerk, just about 50 m from the hotel. Everything was good, except the fact that I need to bring my 25 kg lugage up through the stairs, and it took me about 30 minutes to understand how to get just "hot water" with the coffee machine. The provided instruction was unclear. This small thing probably can be improved.

"Delft weekend"
hreich_723427, 08 Novembre 2016

good hotel, friendly people close to Downtown parking possible at Phoenix-garage many restaurants around hotel location very good for foot-walks in downtown Delft (no comments on breakfast - we used the cafe-store opposite beyond the channel - good! )

"Nice family room"
Mike E, 04 Novembre 2016

Delft has nice historic buildings and this hotel is no exception. We had a cosy family room that was surprisingly large. The lady at the reception was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, thanks to the choice of food and drinks and the nice ambience. The location of the hotel is excellent for viewing the historic city centre of Delft. We really enjoyed our stay.

"bad experience"
avazqu_955508, 02 Novembre 2016

I rented a double deluxe room that in accordance with booking website could include an extra bed for a kid. Despite of that, the manager of the Hotel said it was imposible to put an extra bed in the room (bacause the room was too small) and I was oblied to rent an extra single room. At the end of the day I spent around 200 euro per a night in a médium quality hotel. Ratio quality-price is terrible!! It was a real bad experience!

"Enjoyable Stay at Museumshotel, Delft"
ahardi_191535, 26 Octobre 2016

I very much liked the room, it was spacious and had some character. It was nice to have a bath, and not just a shower. The service was very good, and very helpful; for example, a member of staff gave me a map of Delft which enabled me to walk quite easily to the conference that I was attending, and which also made it easy for me to do some sight seeing on the following day. I had the breakfast, which was good value, with plenty of choice. I really liked the breakfast room, which had two, quite large, statues of lions, and also a framed document showing occupants of the building for the last few hundred years. (This was in the Dutch language which, fortunately, I can read fairly well.) I thought that the hotel offers a memorable stay, seeing that it is a cluster of historic buildings, yet very comfortable too. (The bed was especially comfortable.) The hotel is conveniently located for sight-seeing in Delft, just a few minutes walk away from the city centre, and yet also handy for the railway station. I'd certainly stay at this hotel again.

"My favorite hotel in Delft"
Iveta T, 26 Octobre 2016

This hotel offers perfect location, good hotel facilities and spacious rooms. Your can find comfort decision even when you are traveling with kids. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good too.

"Charming hotel in the heart of Delft"
jenniebradford, 19 Octobre 2016

The hotel was very comfortable and each room was quite unique. My room had an adorable courtyard with a door that I could leave open to let the fall breeze come inside. The hotel staff was courteous, helpful, and always had smiles on their faces, making the stay that much more enjoyable. The hotel is walking distance to the beautiful city square in Delft and a ten-minute walk to the train station.

"Centerally Located"
alfailakawi_m, 18 Octobre 2016

I stayed in a single room, was perfect for my trip, unlike other places in city center, this hotel has a small elevator unlike other apartments in city center which typically have steep, awkward Dutch stairs :) I breakfast was good. The room is organized very well with small desk, bed, and a chair. I am surprised how they can fit all these in a tiny room. I liked it.

"A very nice hotel at a beautiful setting"
una_golosa, 12 Octobre 2016

The hotel is lovely, the rooms large, bathrooms also, with all the service and amenities you can expect. For a 3 star hotel, I think it should be a 4 star. Clean, quiet, helpful and smiling staff. Good and varied breakfast.

"Overnight at the Museum Hotel"
M7120NPjohnp, 07 Octobre 2016

A very comfortable and well appointed hotel at the heart of Delft. Very convenient for the town centre and also less than 10minutes from the station and train to Schipol which makes it a perfect stop over for a quick trip. Staff excellent and very helpful. Perfect overnight stopover.

"Good but could be better"
GarethK95, 06 Octobre 2016

This is a typical city centre hotel - what you get in location you lose in space. The bathroom was quite dark and cramped but could have been worse. The room was small but fine. My only complain is that on checking out we were told one room had not been paid for, it had, but we then had to wait 10 minutes to show them the receipt to prove it, and while they accepted it they weren't exactly apologetic for making us wait which was a tad annoying so it's a 3/5 rating for that. The car park is 400m up the street and easy to get to and for location it's hard to beat.

"Wouldnt stay there again"
visitor2016275, 06 Octobre 2016

Positive: Location, in the middle of the old town. Negative: No parking available, all public parking spots are reserved for residents. Parking there results in a high fine. Hotel stuff recommends a car park that costs 19€/day. Our room was in the attic. Very small and very dark. One small window. The shower was so small that I wasn't able to stand up straight. Hotel is located right next to the old church which results in a lot of noise even during the night due to the church bell. The Wifi is ridiculously slow.

"Great stay"
Sue J, 30 Septembre 2016

Very enjoyable stay. Excellent location, pleasant room, good breakfasts and helpful staff. Delft is lovely with loads of good places to eat but the hotel is only about 10 mins from the station so we used trains to get quickly to other places.

"one night in Delft"
cbieri_330902, 30 Septembre 2016

generaly good hotel with very good access to the old town of Delft. Friendly staff. Room a bit old fashioned but everythin you need. price performance ratio very good. Breakfast good variety of choice.

We spent a night in Delft at the Best Western & loved the place. It is located 2 mins walking from tram stop so very easy to reach, staff are very friendly and helpful, room was super clean with coffee machine and mini bar as well, hotel location in Delft is perfect as well: within walking distance from all attractions & in a quiet street.

"assessment of acommodation at Museumhotels Delft"
lmotus_986673, 19 Septembre 2016

the service was nice, servicing people were helpful and efficient. The hotel is pretty well positioned -- close to town centre and to the railway station. The room booking service seems too rigid to me -- there is no point in completely prohibiting minor changes in booking dates .

"A little strange hotel, but very comfy and quiet room in the middle of town."
John071, 13 Septembre 2016

Can't fault this hotel. Excellent breakfast, quiet room with a fancy coffee machine, although it took me a long time to figure out how it worked. The sheet with instructions was just unclear. But I didn't give up!. Good Wifi. Middle of town and fair price. Parking of course is a problem here, but if you come by train, it is 5 minutes from the station.

"A very nice WE with the kids"
christineaP7236OU, 08 Septembre 2016

We had a very pleasant stay at the Best Western Museumhotels in Delft. The rooms were confortable and spacious, the breakfast was quite enjoyable and the staff was very friendly. Needless to say the location is great, just in the heart of the old town.

"Happy with this hotel"
alynch552, 05 Septembre 2016

We were happy with this hotel which is situated right on the canal and by the old church - the bells of which ring through the night! Staff were helpful. The room was fine and accommodated us and our children comfortably.

"Sandeep"
Sandeep G, 25 Août 2016

What a horrible experience. Don't care a damn atitude of the minimalistic staff. No tea pod because " We had too many guests lately", what an answer. On check out the early morning staff could not issue a receipt as "you didn't pay me you paid my colleague who'll come later". Unprofessional to the core.

"Bad Experience"
rsood_886312, 22 Août 2016

Room Cleaniliness , Wi Fi & Breakfast was awful. We had to stggle daily to get the room cleaned. Even the towels provided in the room were not sufficient. Same breakfast was served daily and any guest staying for long period will think twice.

"Very bad footfall sound insulation between the two floors"
guenter767, 18 Août 2016

We had been assigned with a room in the ground floor of the central building of the three existing buildings of the hotel. If possible avoid the ground floor in this central building since the footfall sound insulation between the two floors is due to the very old building very bad.

"very nice hotel for a short trip"
541kennethd, 16 Août 2016

We enjoyed our stay at BEST WESTERN Museumhotels Delft very much. We had a very nice, big room on the first floor (suite). The staff was very friendly and helpful. Their breakfast was excellent and served on the ground floor. Only the cleaning of the room could have been beter. Delft is a very nice village to discover and we and our kids had a great time overthere. We really can recommend Delft as well as the hotel. Grtz from a satisfied client...

"Very well located in the city center"
LA_traveler_10101, 13 Août 2016

Excellent location, in the city center (1 min walk to the main square) and close to the central station (about 7 min walk). Service is spotless, with very welcoming staff. It is an old property, next to a canal, that has been refurbished. Great choice for a business or short holiday stay in Delft.

"Beautifull"
giancarlom301, 09 Août 2016

Hotel was clean and in a central position. Breakfast was good and with a lot of foods. Receptionist were very Kindly. The family room was big and confortable . The price was very good for the service quality.

"A very nice stay"
beba531, 08 Août 2016

The hotel is in the heart of the city and the room was very comfortable and spacious. The breakfast was rich enough and the staff really helpful. It is also very close to the station, then perfect for travel:) I suggest this hotel to everyone!

"Pleasure environment and nice hospitality"
bahadurthapah, 06 Août 2016

The hotel is located in central area with easy access by public transportation. Hotel service, restaurant items and staff service is very nice. The main and amazing features of the hotel is comfortable room, where we can have best enjoy.

"Excellent accommodation in the very centre"
Davide G, 02 Août 2016

We absolutely loved our stay, the room was spacious, had lovely furniture and a view on the inner courtyard, the position was also great, right in the centre within minutes walk anywhere worth visiting. The check in and check out procedures were smooth and the personnel was polite and kind to us. Recommended.

"Nice large room..."
stefaanv718, 25 Juillet 2016

... and excellent service all over. Only draw-back: it were hot days and rooms got no airco = room was (and remained) rather warm... The provided ventilator was not helping that much in that respect. I don't like airco (I would have put it out) but it would have kept the room fresh...

"Unusual, but very nice hotel."
RucksackKent, 15 Juillet 2016

The staff are excellent with great English, which seems to be a feature of most people in Holland. Room well, decorated with even a Tassimo drinks maker in the room !! My room was out of the hotel, round into a side street passed a couple of shops and houses to a separate building. High, wooden ceiling with pottery on display above the entrance door. The hotels location is hard to beat as it is near the very centre of town and a short walk from the bustling Saturday market. Delft itself is a very beautiful and interesting city. Only issue is parking. Not the hotels fault, it seems to be a national problem in Holland !! Even when you find parking it is horrendously expensive. I have yet to try breakfast, but I am sure that it will deliver.

"Excellent hotel with perfect location"
physette, 13 Juillet 2016

I really enjoyed my stay at the Best Western in Delft. I was in the Residences building and was in Delft for a conference. I stayed on the main floor, which I typically don't like. Turns out it was perfect, because I couldn't hear the church bells at night that many others at the conference complained about. The room was also spacious and the bathroom newly renovated. The breakfast was excellent, with both cold and hot choices. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. The only issue I had was that the safe didn't work, but given all the other positives it really was a minor issue. The location was great, with a tram stop right outside and only a ten minute walk to the main train station and five minutes to the main central square. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

"Nice hotel in an excellent location"
LoveToTravel1210, 10 Juillet 2016

I really enjoyed my stay. Comfortable and clean rooms, good breakfast, helpful and courteous staff. The location is fantastic, next to the Old Church and the Prinsehof museum, and a one minute walk from the tram line. The main square is a 5-minute walk from the hotel and there are plenty of restaurants and coffee places along the way. There is also a supermarket very close by, which is very convenient, and a small fruit market just next to the hotel. I would like to point out that there is no mini bar in the rooms, and no room service. This was not important for me, but just thought to mention it.

"Few steps from the City Center"
ycalu, 07 Juillet 2016

The hotel is quite comfortable and very well located (few steps from the museu and the city center), offers a nice Wi-Fi connection (free). The rooms are nice and very well kept but the residence rooms are the best. There are some beautiful art pieces in the hotel and the bar area is decorated with pictures from the "A-stars" from Hollywood. The place is good.

"Very nice hotel close to centre of the city"
WillyA123, 06 Juillet 2016

New rooms, very clean. Across from the old church and walking distance to the city market place. Parking close by in a parking garage. Good breakfast too. Two sinks in the small bathrooms was great. No complaints, very happy.

"Convenient for town centre but customer service is poor"
TheTerrys86, 26 Juin 2016

We stayed in the hotel for a week in June as a group of 4 independent travellers. The hotel is fairly convenient on the edge of the town centre and about a 10 minute walk from the station with cases. We did not get off to a great start because on arrival we were informed that we would be in the “Gallery” annexe, which is a walk of approx 300 metres down an alleyway past other annexe (I wonder if this hotel was created by merging 2 or 3 smaller hotels). A member of staff took us to the annexe but points were lost by failing to notice that I was dragging 2 suitcases (mine and my wife's). He just headed off down the alley at a fair pace and left us to struggle with our cases. The Gallery has a pass activated door as it was normally devoid of staff except at breakfast time. There is a large reception area which also includes the breakfast tables and a slightly strange collection of weird mythological creatures, some with explicit sexual organs and some modern artwork. I will leave other guests to make up their one minds about the suitability of this décor except to say that guests with small children may need to answer some awkward questions. Both our rooms were on the second floor under the eaves with small windows overlooking a main road. The rooms were on the small side with some awkward beams, but to be fair to the hotel, this is Delft and old buildings do not always lend themselves to providing spacious hotel rooms. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was excellent with modern fittings and very clean. Our room (230) had a small wardrobe type cupboard under the eaves – just about enough space for our clothes. It contained a safe, which I noticed was not bolted to anything so a thief could have picked it up and walked out with it! The room had its own aircon unit, which was quite noisy and the only way to turn it off was to pull the plug out of the mains, which we did most nights. The room also had a fancy coffee maker which used special sachets. The only tea option was Earl Grey. We managed to have a kettle provided by the hotel`` which meant we could make our own tea with tea bags. Finally, our companions' room (210) had a large painting behind the bed which included a explicit nude full frontal female form. The hotel must be proud of it because they feature it in the photo gallery on their website. Some people might find this offensive. We just thought it was inappropriate. Apart from being placed in an annexe the thing that annoyed me most was that we were overlooking a major construction site (a 5 year project to bury the railway line and build underground car parks). The daily show of cranes, drilling and other building works was sometimes interesting but it hardly constitutes a peaceful stay in Delft. The hotel management did not see fit to inform us of these works when we arrived, let alone apologise. The breakfast was quite good with the usual selection of things for a European hotel. It also had cereal variety packs and a daily hot option of scrambled/ boiled eggs and bacon. We had breakfast 6 days out of 7 and it was the same every day. There was no toaster unlike the breakfast room in the main hotel. The breakfast staff (and cleaner) were friendly and spoke to us in English. The hotel only offered breakfast, no other meals as far as we could see. There was some sort of discount offer for a couple of restaurants in town but these seemed to be on the pricey side and we did not bother with them. The main hotel had a small bar but we never used it. Finally, I would like to mention that there was a computer available in the annexe reception area but it turned out to be a rather slow old machine running XP and IE8. When I looked at the BBC website it reported that it was optimised for a later version of IE and the Delft card website would not display properly, I assume due to the old browser, as it looked fine when I tried it on my return home. I really do think that Best Western should provide something better for guests. My overall summary is that this is a reasonable hotel that is let down by the management and its attitude to customer service. Why were we put in the noisy annexe when we had booked in for a week a long time in advance? The check out process was very efficient but the receptionist did not ask me if we had enjoyed out stay or had any comments. I expected more from a big hotel group like Best Western.

"Well appointed what you need and can expect"
jmb20002015, 25 Juin 2016

Stayed for 3 night s on business, and found the room and bath a bit small (as expected in NL?) but excellent function , especially a good shower! Only downer was having a room on groundfloor towards one busy street of evening/night crawlers form the center bars... pleasent staff who accommodated well for most requests in and out of hotel.

"Nice hotel, but clearly overpriced"
Phil1100, 19 Juin 2016

Central location in Delft, close to main square, in quiet street and neighbourhood. Spacious, comfortable, well equipped room. Nice atmosphere in the hotel, good breakfast. Pleasant stay, good choice overall, although overpriced for what it offers. Most hotels in Delft centre were booked out at the time we reserved, so we went for this one, even thhough it seemed rather expensive.

"A real Museum:)"
sylviaWaldbewohnerin, 18 Juin 2016

Very small room, but very good beds and very clean. We enjoyed our short stay. Breakfast was very good and the service was friendly! The hotel is situated in the city center and so we could profit of the beautiful city.

"Normally just okay"
mattrJ140LB, 27 Mai 2016

Normally just okay .. but on this last occasion there was no hot water at all,. Breakfast also acceptable rather than great. Could do much better. Location is good and very pleasant, just let down by lack of attention to detail.

"Just perfect for us!"
peturl2016, 24 Mai 2016

We have stayed at this hotel several times when we are traveling in the Netherlands and it was a pleasure now as always before. The family rooms are very suitable and the staff is so very helpful and nice both at the lobby besides in breakfast room so everything was just perfect for us this time.

"Great hotel except for desk reception"
darnley48, 23 Mai 2016

This was a clean well-located hotel close to everything in the downtown. Overall breakfast was good , the rooms were fine, and all the workers except at reception were friendly and helpful. We felt on more than one occasion the reception desk workers were unfriendly, cold and rude.

"Unusual but lovely"
plagif_608271, 22 Mai 2016

We stayed at the Gallery, where you are confronted by life size statues before coffee in the morning... :) Lovely hotel and rooms, very good breakfast, and friendly and helpful staff. We'll definitely be back.

"We love Delft"
sherry411, 19 Mai 2016

We enjoyed one of the buildings which wasn't the main building. It was very peaceful. We loved the big size of our-we think-regular room very much! All historical buildings were within walking range and Scheveningen is just aan 45 minute drive tram number 1.

"a fine choice"
Milan1965, 19 Mai 2016

This is a very nice comfortable hotel, reasonably priced considering its close proximity to the Old Town. The weather when I was there was cold for May, but the room remained comfortably warm. My room looked right out onto the leaning bell tower of the Old Church. Some people might not appreciate that the clock in that tower chimes on the hour all night long, but I liked it. The train stn is a 10 min walk. When the trains are not running (as was the case when I was there) you can still buy a ticket at the train stn and a NS bus will transport you to Den Haag where you can catch a train back to Amsterdam. The people at hotel reception desk were pleasant and helpful. A word about Delft itself -- it is my favorite town of those I visited in Holland. I went there mainly for the Vermeer associations, but there are others things to see and do. I went to the exact spot where Vermeer painted "View of Delft" but all that is recognizable from the painting is the city gate.

"quite expensive"
massons2016, 17 Mai 2016

the room was very hot... there was no possibility of opening the window !!. nice place but the parking fee is really expensive if you comem with a car. nice room but maybe expensive for the service. nice breakfast

"Place to stay "
caholahan, 16 Mai 2016

The museum hotel was a great way to stay in delft in was in age eat location and near plenty of tourists attraction and the train station which helped traveling to Rotterdam and every where else we wanted to travel to from best western museumhotel

"A total disappointment "
Paddy H, 02 Mai 2016

We looked at various hotels to spend a weekend in delft. We picked this so called four star hotel. We arrived late at night and were told that we were staying in a separate building to the main hotel. Our room was large dingey, dull and unpleasant. The room was beside the stairs and the walls let in all the noise. We could hear the people upstairs talk snore and everything else. We did not have breakfast or any other meals at the hotel. Our towels were not replaced once. Maybe it was our room but we feel this hotel would struggle to get 3 stars!

"Only had 4 days. Wish we could have stayed longer."
Tony36, 02 Mai 2016

100% happy with every aspect of this welcoming hotel. The perfect base for exploring Delft, catching tram No.1 (just down the alleyway) to The Hague for a day out, and for walking across to the very new Rail Station. Reception supply the bargain All Day Tickets for all trams and buses. We 'did' some of The Hague by hopping on and off the No.1 and then went for a rest and a sunbathe on the pier at Scheveningen Noorderstrand (North Beach) where the tram finishes. Well worth the ride if you like to be beside the seaside for a while, glorious sands and interesting very long double deck pier. As for the hotel, it is served by delightful, helpful, friendly staff, and that's every one of them. Home from home. We shall return.

"Good base . Comfy hotel"
Ian P, 29 Avril 2016

Stayed for 4 nights . Bedrooms snug but tidy with good size bathroom and tea/coffee making facility . Food not bad , however given the location and wide array of eateries I'd recommend using as B&B . Staff very helpful and happy to engage/have a laugh with guests .

"Tiny room.Pitiful for their reputation."
Samuel P, 28 Avril 2016

Paid extra for a deluxe room. What a joke. Beams everywhere. Watch out or you can get a concussion. This room has to be less than 10 square meters. Picture the shower being almost as big as the hotel room. I pity the person who requests the standard room. A quality chain like Best Western deserves a better product than this pitiful excuse for a deluxe room.

"Good choice "
tomdark2015, 22 Avril 2016

Very good location in a quiet central area of the city. Room very nice and spacious (I was in a deluxe room in the Residence, far enough from the bell tower of the Old Church). Very kind staff. Breakfast not more than average, WiFi poor and slow.

"A Pleasant Stay"
Ron W, 21 Avril 2016

The hotel is situated on Oude Delft a convenient few minutes walk from the railway station, a tram stop and a stone's throw from the historic centre of Delft. It's formed from several traditional buildings and our experience was confined to the frontage on Oude Delft. There's a comfortable bar lounge and all the usual services expected of a hotel of this quality. The staff were pleasant and helpful with excellent local knowledge to assist the visitor. The breakfast was extensive with a range of cooked items, more 'Northern European' fare e.g. cheeses and cold meats and the usual cereals, breads, yoghourts etc. Our room was large, clean and well-equipped with very comfortable beds (see room tip).

"Excellent value and great location"
K779TLmichaelw, 20 Avril 2016

This hotel is right in the centre of beautiful old Delft by the Oude Kerk and the Prinsenhof museum. We stayed for three nights and the hotel was perfect for our needs. Everything was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, fluent English speakers of course, and the breakfasts (not included in the room booking) had all the choices you would expect and were freshly prepared. Don't expect five star luxury and extras: I would describe it unfussy but all the essentials are provided to a high standard.

"Great Hotel !"
TheOranges, 15 Avril 2016

Fantastic location in the center of Old Delft. We have stayed here three times in the last 9 years and would not stay anywhere else in Delft. The historic building is lovely and has tons of character. Very reasonably priced. The beds are incredibly comfortable. But the staff is what makes it great. Everyone goes out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. Nick & Jennifer at the front desk and Michael at bar were all particularly helpful and friendly. The breakfast is lovely as well.

"Hidden secret in middle of Delft"
lk1928, 14 Avril 2016

What a great place - fantastic location opposite Old Church, friendly staff. We booked at the last minute and were pleasantly surprised at both the special rate and the quality of the hotel. We can thoroughly recommend this little gem!

"Good hotel in centre of Delft"
Henrik B, 14 Avril 2016

Was in town for one night for business, this was a good place to stay.. My room was comfortable and had what i needed. Located on ground floor, not very soundproof rooms so i could hear people walking/biking outside all day. Breakfast was OK, had what i needed but not a WOW-factor. Very kind staff, especially during check in. Delft is a small town, it takes some time to wait for taxi.

"Disappointed"
ernanatalia, 14 Avril 2016

I feel really disappointed at this hotel because they doesn't has completely facilities as they said . First i was booking this hotel from other website and this website said they has bath up in the suite junior room but when i go to the room i not see bath up feel really disappointed because i choose this room for the bath up and also they doesn't has important stuff like tooth brush and toothpaste :( and also the bad feel is the staff doesn't give me good answer about what I complained and i was really hope i will get something because they're mistake but i get nothing.

"group trip to Holland"
anniemaisie, 10 Avril 2016

Delft is a beautiful old town full of atmospere and interest. We used the hotel for our base to visit Keukenhoff, Amsterdam and Leiden in a very full schedule of places to go! We could not have picked a better hotel! The attention to detail, personal service, customer care, cleanliness and decor were top class and need to be recognised. Thank you for a wonderful, be it short, stay. I know that many of the party are planning a return!

"Museumhotel Delft TOP TOP TOP"
W3928NMmichael, 06 Avril 2016

We were the first time in Delft and also not the last time. Top Hotel in the heart of the city, everything was within walking distance. The staff of the house a dream and can only be recommended, we will come back definitely !!!!

"Perfect location"
gbn0, 05 Avril 2016

Located near all the important places in central Delft. Kind and helpful personnel. The room is well maintained, but a bit dark. Peaceful location, at least during the week. There is a bar in the reception area, but to find food in the evening you will have to og out in town. But that is no problem as lots of restaurants are within 200 - 300 meters. No need to use a taxi. Easy connections to Amsterdam, Haag and Rotterdam by train. I have often stayed there when attending meetings in Haag or Rotterdam.

"Spacious,convenient, clean comfort in Delft!"
gklatt_849940, 03 Avril 2016

We had a great stay in Delft. Our hotel room was very fresh, clean and spacious. We were really comfortable and we found ourselves just steps away from some of Delft's top attractions. We enjoyed delicious food in the breakfast room and really enjoyed our stay.

"Top location"
Oele999, 30 Mars 2016

A very nice hotel with a top location. Very friendly personel on al levels. Nice breakfest. Standard room is due for an upgrade. We had a little bit of trouble sleeping due to the churchbells who sounded every hour

"Clean and Warm Downtown Hotel"
bepi_stefani, 24 Mars 2016

Well located downtown hotel with friendly and helpfull personnel. Clean and typical olandese room with quiet atmosphere and modern services. In the heart of the old Delft between channels and Historical monuments but close to the rail station and parkings

"Top location, comfort can be better"
martinI868SG, 24 Mars 2016

Great location relative to the centre of Delft. Vermeer, Royal Delft Porselain, etc. Room could not be ventilated. Otherwise everything was fine, but no ventilation makes the room stuffy, even in the winter. Church tower sounding every half hour during the night, but this is to be expected in the centre of an old city.

"One night in delft"
jcolli_758898, 23 Mars 2016

Very nice staff , very welcoming. We arrived early and took our bags and gave us a map and lots of recommendations what to do. We had a lovely room which was comfortable, perhaps a bit cold (we couldn't find the thermostat)

"Good middle class hotel in the middle of the old town of Delft"
birgittah418, 20 Mars 2016

Charming old hotel in the middle of the old town of Delft in close vicinity of museums and other tourist places. Also quite close to the train and bus station. The room was clean and comfortable enough if you are a business traveller. The breakfast buffé was not extremely big but good enough.

"A good hotel in a pretty location "
Andrew C, 17 Mars 2016

Walking around the area is a wonderful way to spend an evening as this is a beautiful town with great restaurants and bars. The hotel mirrors this. The staff are friendly and the room is very comfortable. I only stayed here for one night and was not able to sample the food, but if I'm in the area I would definitely return. Just be careful with the parking if you drive there. The roads are narrow and right by the water.

"Good, but noisy"
edithd101, 01 Mars 2016

We had booked a double deluxe room. The room was modern, clean and big. The bathroom was also modern and clean. So far, so good. Unfortunately we heard every footstep of the guests in the room above us. That was not a fun way to wake up.

"A perfect place to stay in the city centre!"
tony_dierckens, 23 Février 2016

After a perfect welcome chat by Nicky we were able to directly go to our room. As expected - a nice room with all facilities that were needed for a nice weekend. I would absolutely recommend this hotel for couples who want to explore the old city center of Delft!

"Great staff"
richard f, 21 Février 2016

Stayed for a night last week and although we've stayed in Delft many times this was our 1st time at the Best Western. You can't get lost as the main entrance is opposite the Old Church and the hotel itself consists of three seperate buildings down a side alley. We asked for a quiet family room and were upgraded to a suite with two rooms and three sinks! Clean and comfy with the most wonderful reception staff. My only criticism was breakfast in the 'residence' rooms felt a bit picked over by the time we got there, the scrambled eggs were dried out and the bacon reduced to scraps. Our happy memories from being initally greeted by name and feeling like family will stay with us.

"Very pleasant stay in Delft"
lyang_500124, 16 Février 2016

My daughter and I stayed for one night. The staff at the front desk were super friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable. I loved that there is a bathtub with plenty of hot water (cold outside). Breakfast was also very nice. We showed up for breakfast an hour early and was told we are welcome to stay and eat even though not everything was ready yet. Location was convenient.

"Great value"
einarjon, 16 Février 2016

Spent 2 nights there on a business trip. Great location for Delft. Good beds, and overall a very good value at €69 for a double room. The breakfast didn't have many options, and hardly worth €14 per person, but the bread was excellent.

"A brilliant stay at Best Western"
Hamed M, 14 Février 2016

The hotel is amazingly nice, quite, clean and best possible location you can imagine. Nice and responsible staff, few minutes walk to the main railway station of Delft, few minutes walk to reach all nice and ancient sightseeing and tourist attractions in old Delft. Just beside Delft's old church. Easy to access and few minutes train to get to Rotterdam, the nearest big and nice city of Holland!

"Central and comfortable hotel."
wvertr_213332, 20 Janvier 2016

We had an overnight stay in a recently redecorated room with an impressive old oak door. Breakfast was great. The hotel is easily reached from the parking garage Phoenix. We stay often in this hotel when visiting Delft.

"Center city hotel"
jwp323, 19 Janvier 2016

Very nice not expensive. Hart of the city everything is walkable. Nice breakfast in cosy little restaurant. We stay here often our sons are studying in Delft. We can recommend this hotel. Even the cheapest rooms are fine. Most of the rooms are recently refurbished.

"Good hotel"
jkuipe_128921, 05 Janvier 2016

Good hotel, friendly staff and excellent breakfast. Unfortunately, the weather was very poor, but this was beyond the control of the staff. Good spacious bedroom. It would be useful to have the restaurant open in the evening.

"Cheerless lonely dependances"
bobwC3415BG, 03 Janvier 2016

Cheerless lonely dependances far away from a reception. Heating not available when you are not in your room. Impossible to check out in the dependance. I have previously refused to walk to the main reception for check out. When you book the hotel you get not informed about dependances.

"Perfect accommodation. Nice bathroom and bedroom"
riccardoR24, 02 Janvier 2016

Despite we booked at 1 a.m. the service was excellent. I totally reccomend it especially for long stays as it situated in the city centre. We also could enjoy a green apple offered us from the front office guy, who was very nice

"It's great"
yanli2015, 30 Décembre 2015

a very good hotel, the location is very convenient and the Service Staff is nice. We can find it very easily from the Delft train station. With a nice breakfast, the environment is good. But the opposite church is not free and open too late around 10:00 am.

"Delft"
Henk-Ype, 30 Décembre 2015

Delft is a nice place to be! The hotel in the middle of Delft has three parts. We were in the Residence-Hotel. The room was very good and quiet. You can park your car in the Phönix-Parking. Costs: 14 Euro a 24-hour Ticket!

"very good stay"
bstraa_519840, 24 Décembre 2015

the hotel was very good, very near the inner city of delft and most important phoenix a garage was 300 meters from the hotel. breakfast good, chaimber excellent, personel excellent. trips to rotterdam and the hague possible, nearby.

"short stay in Delft"
jkuipe_907326, 21 Décembre 2015

wonderful, spacious room in the very center of the city. Quiet and we enjoyed a great breakfast. all personel was very friendly and helpful! Wifi in the room was not workig well (might be fixed by now)

"Great hotel but the noise.... "
SJHCBW, 01 Décembre 2015

I called beforehand because our check in time had changed from early in the evening to after midnight. The lady on the phone was very friendly, which gave me good hope. The walk from the railway station to the hotel took us about 10 minutes, it is easy to reach. The Sir at the late night reception was such a nice person!! He was all about providing excellent service. Our room was clean, with a nice bathtub, and extremely comfy beds! At some point during the night some other guests came back though and were EXTREMELY loud. It gave me the impression that the hotel is not soundproof. Could not sleep because of the loud party upstairs from 1-3AM.... Overall I would say that the hotel is great in terms of service but they really have to do something about making the building more soundproof...

"Nice hotel, right at the heart of Delft"
CsrCoach, 30 Novembre 2015

Typical Best Western Hotel. Really nothing to complain. Room was ok, bed was ok, bathroom/ shower was ok. Mirror in bathroom was a bit strange due to the pitched roof. Depending on where your room is, it can be an oasis, They have an annex so a short walk could be possible. But this is Delft centre so you are in the middle of it.

"hotel with an atmosphere"
ifurst_374380, 11 Novembre 2015

Hotel with atmosphere. Nice rooms, staff also very friendly. Warm atmosphere in the rooms, with good interior decoration. Extra plus for comfortable bed:) Beware of that there are some beautiful churches in the area-and you can of course here the church bells, but it's not disturbing.

"friendly staff"
mau_873630, 10 Novembre 2015

Friendly and helpful staff. They gave us some lovely tips for restaurants and things to do there. Conveniently located, near the station and right in the centre. The beds were so comfortable! Very nice hotel! We only stayed one night though.

"Perfect"
mdoelm_104306, 10 Novembre 2015

Perfect location next to the old church of Delft. Our family room was clean and big enough. We had even a wonderful view to the church. Bathroom and shower were also good and clean. Hot water was working properly. WIFI connection had a good speed and no bottlenecks. Personnel at the reception were very pleasant. Price was reasonable for the stay. Fully recommendable.

"Perfect Location, Comfortable Beds, Close to Transportation"
samalamagurl, 09 Novembre 2015

I stayed here for a week on business. I loved the breakfast, although could have done with some allergy friendly foods. I did buy my own gluten free bread and brought it downstairs with me to eat along with the eggs, bacon and fruit. The hotel is a minute walk to the bus and tram station, so it's easy getting around everywhere. The room was spacious and clean, lots of windows and a desk for writing. It even had a closet and some shelves to put up my clothes for the week. They also have a laundry service, so was able to put that to good use. At night, it was also safe and convenient to walk to different places to have dinner - TONS of options within a 5 to 10 minute walk from the hotel. Also the shopping at the local market was fun and they had quite a variety!! I wish I had been able to rent a bike somewhere and zoom around town like the locals. All in all, can't complain. I'll be staying here again if I'm in the area for work.

"Close to the centre"
Graham T, 09 Novembre 2015

Amazing Hotel close to the centre of the town, we had some impressive original artwork in our room which was large and spacious in one of the annexes. The breakfast was downstairs and was typical Dutch Breakfast, but with quite a good selection and included eggs and bacon for the Brits.

"too much for less"
guido w, 05 Novembre 2015

breakfast in a windy corridor(poor receptionists),no special features regarding the price, lounge bar very cheap looking.breakfast oké(12,50€)rooms oké For me the hotel is worth 2 stars. If all the pieces of stone put in every corner means "museum" then that's ridiculous

"Always great to be back in Museumhotel Delft !"
mgomme_699774, 29 Octobre 2015

It is always a pleasure to be back in the Museum Hotel in Delft. We love it and it is so well situated. A parking nearby. Good service, lovely breakfast, nice comfortable rooms with perfect beds and showee, good price quality!

"Clean, quite large and comfortable"
Stefan B, 09 Octobre 2015

For a business meeting in Delft, this was located very conveniently, at walking distance of our meeting location and to the nearby parking garage. While the hotel did not provide parking space, this was not a big deal. Breakfast was fine and the staff friendly. The room was spacious and while a bit old-fashioned in style, provided a good bed, a small desk, which I used to continue work in the evening (with Wifi included - although watching Youtube was a bit too slow). There was a bench, large wardrobe and a sufficiently large bathroom. This was a two-person room and, by looking at the blueprint, one of the bigger ones on my floor. It was not completely isolated from noise in the corridor. I didn't try the TV as I lacked the time to watch a movie.

"Fantastic weekend in Delft"
adam_fordyce, 06 Octobre 2015

Right in the centre of Delft, a fantastic place to stay. Being in the centre, it was very convenient for the nights out we had, with only a short walk back to the hotel, Rooms are lovely, and breakfast is excellent. Couldn't recomment it enough.

"It is OK"
Eddie L, 06 Octobre 2015

Having a three day visit to Delf my stay in this hotel was OK. The room was clean although a bit on the small side. There was a big column in one side of the room that took some space. The cooling system wasn´t working or at least wasn´t good enough as I had to open the window to lower the temperature in the room. The best part was the two ladies at the front desk. They were very friendly and tried to accommodate my request for a US-Europe plug. I think they gave me their personal USB plug and I really appreciated as I had a meeting the very next morning.

"A successful week in Delft"
erwins74, 04 Octobre 2015

The hotel is situated extremely well to the city (very close to the Oude Kerk and Prinsenhof) and in walking distance from the Delft railway station. The hotel is distributed over several buildings, building G is on the opposite side of the main entrance and directly at the tram 1 station "Prinsenhof". Rooms are well equipped, I slept quite well.

"Ok at best"
TheFoodguy, 03 Octobre 2015

As part of our trip we booked 2 nights at the Best Western Museum Hotel in Delft. Check in was easy and we quickly went to our room. We rented an upgraded room based on the pictures on their website. Pictures showed double vanity and a few other nice upgrades. It's not what we were given. I asked if it was an upgraded room and told it was. After the first night I asked again because the size was smaller then I expected and the reception did admit the room was not as shown. The site said it hold hold a rollaway bed but there wasn't room. They offered to change our room but we were settled in. In the end they offered to compensate us with a discount knowing full well what we were given was not what was advertised. Although I appreciated, and took the offer, I really wanted what I was expecting. When you go on vacation you put your trust in what is advertised. On the upside, the breakfast was good. The location was good and Delft is a charming town.

"Delft is worth a visit"
602katiav, 02 Octobre 2015

Spacious room at "Gallery" of the Best Western hotel (next to much traffic, if you prefer total calm, ask for another part of the hotel). We loved the espresso machine in the room, and breakfast was tasty. If "gallery" refers to art, please beware that the sculptures in the breakfast hall are... plain ugly.
